At this restaurant, I found all of that. The dishes were exceptional—rich in flavor, beautifully composed, and prepared with an evident dedication to quality. Every bite reflected both skill and passion. But what stood out just as much as the cuisine was how seriously my severe nut allergy was taken. The staff navigated my dietary needs with remarkable attentiveness and grace, taking every necessary precaution without ever making it feel like an inconvenience. To feel this safe and this well cared for while enjoying such outstanding food is a gift. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t just serve meals—it creates peace of mind and lasting memories.

This place was recommended by our host. We got there minutes before the opening and secured a table. Soon the place got filled up with people and more customers lined up. We ordered pasta dishes and fried seafood mix. The latter was nothing special, and overpriced, but pasta was perfect, especially the seafood special macaroni. 10/10 would go back for more.

Incredibly delicious food, very friendly staff, large portions, and absolutely tasty! I definitely recommend it and I’m planning to go back myself. The desserts were also amazing tiramisu was unreal! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

We ate here 5 nights of our 6 nights in Monopoli (they were closed on the Sunday!). The food is fantastic - we loved every dish we had: mussels gratin; grilled red mullet; whole grilled sea bream; orecchiette rosse with vongole,fish and artichoke cream; risotto with clams, vongole, shrimps and porcini mushrooms; and not to forget the delicious sporcamuss hot out of the oven for dessert. The food was truly delicious, with well-executed dishes and carefully balanced flavors. The seafood risotto, which was the dish of the day, really stood out — creamy, perfectly cooked, and full of fresh, ocean flavor. 🦐🦑🍚 Portions were on the smaller side, so if you’re very hungry, you might find yourself wanting a bit more. That said, the final price felt fair for the quality of the ingredients and presentation. As a lovely surprise, they treated us to some traditional desserts on the house, and they were absolutely delicious — a perfect sweet ending to the meal! 🍰✨ A great spot if you’re looking for a refined, flavorful experience — just don’t expect large portions.

Great atmosphere, restuarant was busy but service was still very good. Requested to change my seafood pasta choice and they were very accomodating. Veal dish was slightly over cooked in some places. A delicious custard pastry was served at the end, warm and delightful which was a nice surprise.

Stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch based on highly rated reviews. Had to wait about 30 minutes before being seated at this popular relatively small restaurant. Overall, service was very good (as long as you have an Italian speaker in your group), but prices are too high because food varied between excellent and disappointing. Service varied between rude at the start when only our party's English and French speakers were seated to excellent when our Italian speaker arrived. Insalata caprese was very good and fresh. Gigliata mista was disappointing because the grilled tuna was dry, tasteless and overcooked. The grilled octopus was tasty but also overcooked and rubbery. The grilled prawns were also overcooked and dry. The hot and spicy shrimp dish was tasty but quite difficult to remove the shells. The cozze gratinate (grilled mussels) were served hot and were very good and tasty. Frittura mista was excellent served hot and was quite tasty. The Agnolotti ravioli with shrimp topped with crispy fried arugula was served hot with a tasty sauce and was excellent. The highlight of our lunch was the complimentary dessert dropped off at our table at the end, which was a very light, flaky and delicious pastry with a very tasty filling. Wow, was that a pleasant surprise!

This place was recommended to us by multiple people. The view was wonderful and it was such a lovely little place. The food was good but the whole 'only two types of pasta for the table' bit was a bit strange. Otherwise we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I had the seafood spaghetti and would recommend it.

One of the best meals we had in Puglia! The food in Monopoli was top notch and this was a great example of that. The menu and atmosphere is not super fancy but the quality of food is top notch. The waiter recommended one of the best wines we tried in Italy and overall it was a great meal.

Not so cheap but who cares. The food was delicious. We had tuna and cod...... And side dishes of salad/croquettes. Service was excellent and the view (when the tourists moved) of the Adriatic was gorgeous.

Beautiful location, very attentive staff and good food. We had the fish carbonara nd mixed fish fried. We also had the potato crocchette that were amazing!!!!I really recommend this place in Monopoli.

Had a great dinner here, initially we asked to change tables and although it was busy they gladly accommodated the request. The gentleman with the beard and glasses is a great server and was very nice with recommending dishes. Food was delicious.

I had one of the best food experiences in this place at Monopoli. Crew is friendly and open, food is good and price/quality worked for what I ordered. Recommended if you are into the things in their menu.

Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The focaccia was warm and perfectly baked. We especially enjoyed the potatoes with avocado — a simple combination, but incredibly tasty. The chicken wrap was satisfying and well-seasoned, and the Puglia-style salad was light, crisp, and refreshing.

My understanding is this restaurant had a reputation for quality local and Italian cuisine. My family had all decided to order the chicken cutlet. The description on the menu read that it was a chicken cutlet with fried potatoes. Having experienced nothing but fresh and homemade-esque food in Monopoli, we expected hand cut and breaded cutlet with some fried or roasted potatoes. We also ordered the shrimp cocktail. Again, being in Monopoli, you would expect fresh and local shrimp which the town is known for. VERY WRONG!! the shrimp were tiny and looked like they bought WalMart-branded frozen shrimp. The shrimp was legitimately doused in a thick mixture of what we believed was ketchup and mayonnaise. The chicken cutlet was also not whole chicken and was the consistency of a less appealing chicken mcnugget. The fries also looked to be stored bought and simply thrown into an oven for 15 minutes. The fries were bland and frankly unappetizing. I'm surprised Italian cooks would even consider sending meals like this out the door.

With nearly 40 people in our group one would not expect such a fantastic lunch. First and quickly served several fish and meat dishes as appetizers i.e. octopus, small fish, etc. Thereafter two (!) primi piatti i.e. risotto with clams and pasta with great fish tomato sauce. The secundo piatti was mixed fresh sea food including gamba, all tasting great and well prepared. The cellar room was noisy but that was caused by some misbehaving people that were laughing and shouting. Would go back there just for the food.

Love coming here. The fish and food are very fresh. Octopus salad is wonderful. They have a lovely terrace but it won’t get sun but that’s ok! Highly recommend coming here for a lunch.

After being in Monopoli for almost a week, this Trattoria was the first restaurant that I have found so far that offers pasta with a plain tomato sauce. The pasta was fabulous and the tomato sauce tasted fresh and not acidic. Service was fine, great experience. The restaurant does not accept credit cards so make sure you take cash. I am sure we will return.

The taste was rather plane. We really aprecciated the parmegiano regiano brought to our table. We had orrechiate al pomodoro and pachero con pesce spada. With the bear was ok. We waited a long time. Some tables arrived after us was served with antipasti and fried food before us with 10 minutes. We waited something like 30-40 minutes for the pasta.

Fresh seafood and classic Italian flavors right by the sea. Loved the grilled fish and the juicy grilled prawns, both simply prepared and full of flavor. The seafood pasta was tasty with a rich tomato sauce. Portions are generous, and the tiramisu was a perfect sweet ending. Casual, authentic atmosphere and good value for fresh seafood. Worth a visit if you’re in the area!

A classic tourist trap – avoid if you care about quality. We ordered the fish and the seafood skewer. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The seafood skewer was completely burnt and inedible. The fish looked acceptable on the outside, but once opened, we discovered it had not been properly cleaned – the intestines were still inside, which made the inside bitter and unpleasant. We had to return both main courses. The overall presentation of the dishes was poor, and even the salad was bland and tasteless. The way the wine and olive oil were served was completely inappropriate and unworthy of the rating this place supposedly has. This was a deeply disappointing experience. The restaurant clearly relies on tourist traffic and does not care about food quality or service standards. We regret dining here.

Stopped here for a quick lunch while visiting the charming town of Monopoli. Staff were friendly, service good and food not bad. We had the house Antipasto sampler, good selection of marinated and steamed seafood with some lettuce and a bean spread. For 2nd I enjoyed grilled skewered octopus and my wife had the shrimp version. Both were cooked well.

We had a fantastic lunch at Osteria Pericci in Monopoli — a true celebration of fresh, local seafood in a relaxed and authentic setting. We ordered the cavatelli with clams and mussels, which was fresh, simple, and bursting with the flavor of the sea. The spaghetti frutti di mare was equally impressive — generous portions of seafood and a sauce that brought everything together beautifully. To accompany the mains, we shared a side of cicoria (chicory greens) and a crisp rucola (arugula) salad — both were fresh and well-prepared. Everything felt seasonal and rooted in local tradition. Our meal was perfectly paired with a beautiful local white wine, light and aromatic, which complemented the seafood without overwhelming it. Overall, a memorable and delicious lunch — fresh ingredients, thoughtful cooking, and a genuine Puglian experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Monopoli.

A really nice restaurant in the heart of Monopoli. We went there in the evening so there was a bit of a rush and we had to wait for out food for quite a while (even for the oysters which basically just need to be put on a plate). The food was fine, not exceptional but not terrible. What was rather nice was the atmosphere- we felt surrounded by locals and had a nice time overall. However if you want to visit during summer months i recommend making a reservation.

Some of the best seafood we had in Italy. This restaurant was recommended by our Airbnb host, they said the seafood is fresh from the port and it did not disappoint. We had raw seafood platter (ok), seafood pasta (the best, must get) and fried seafood. Service was exceptional and the wine was phenomenal. I actually preferred the oysters I had the day before from a different local place though.

One of the best places I have experienced in Puglia. Excellent service, tasty food, reasonably priced, relaxing atmosphere. I recommend trusting all the chef's suggestions. It is also worth mentioning the appetizers ( for 2) each of which proved to be a beautiful surprise. If I get back to Monopoli, this restaurant will most definitely be our first choice! By the port, great views, but disappointing food and service. Unwelcoming, we went in smiling and greeting the waiters before mentioning we had a reservation, the waiters — cross-armed and passive, did not even bother to say good evening. The bread served: stale and hard. When taking the order, the waiter barely spoke (not because he was incompetent in english, but simply, by choice.) The food on the other hand, very mediocre. Ordered the Tuna Carpaccio, uneven slices and wasn’t great fish (overly fishy). Also had the calamarata pasta and the seafood cavatelli pasta. The cavatelli was way too salty and one of the worse ones we’ve had on the trip, and the calamarata pasta was overly chewy and slightly undercooked. The monkfish ragout was thick and lacked flavour. The most disappointing experience on our Puglia trip so far, shame it was also our last night in Monopoli. Go somewhere else where the waiters actually have interest in serving and the food meets the standard of what the restaurant portrays.

I had been looking forward to this dinner since planning our Monopoli trip. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. When we arrived, the restaurant was just opening with only one other small table occupied. The staff was not overwhelmed by any means, yet from the start they gave us a cold shoulder. My husband was served dirty cutlery, which he very politely asked to have replaced. Then I noticed oily fingerprints on the outside of my glass, but I let it go. These things happen, I gave them a benefit of the doubt that it was a one time thing. We're only human. But the pièce de résistance of disappointment, which felt like betrayel, was how mediocre the food turned out to be. Stail, lacking flavor, and at times salty. We were planning to order more, but asked for a bill after the first course. I left my dish unfinished and nobody cared. After a week in Monopoli, this was by far our worst meal.

We booked here expecting a nice meal. From the start it was unwelcoming: the manager (Gianne, older fellow) refused to show us to our table until we proved our booking. Not exactly a warm welcome. When ordering, we told him very clearly that my partner has a nut allergy. His response? A careless “It’s all good.” That’s not reassurance — that’s ignorance. We were served our starter (which, to be fair, tasted good) — but that’s what triggered my partner’s allergic reaction. She developed an itchy throat that worsened until she had to be sick in the toilets. This could have been far more serious. The shocking part: the manager did nothing. No apology, no concern, no attempt to help. Other guests offered us medicine and support. Imagine being in a restaurant where the people at the next table care more about your partner’s health than the manager in charge. The one saving grace was our waiter Patrick, who actually looked after us. Thanks to him we got through it, but it’s unacceptable that the restaurant’s “leader” stood back like nothing was happening. Yes, they comped our bill, but no amount of free food covers up risking someone’s health. And speaking of food: avoid their steak. Bland, lifeless, and frankly embarrassing. A uni student makes a better steak with the cheapest Aldi cut, with no cross-contamination — that alone should put the chef out of a job. This place is dangerous if you have allergies; it is badly run, and not worth your money. Until they overhaul their allergy procedures and management, stay far away.

In my opinion it is one of the best seafood restaurants in Monopoli. The menu is varied but not exaggerated. Very interesting appetizer and really fresh seafood. The first courses are all very good. The staff is very qualified. They all speak English. The quality/price ratio is excellent. The wine list is very varied. The Chef spoils you with his cuisine which is traditional but not obvious. The tuna carpaccio melted in your mouth

We had high hopes and were very disappointed. Appetizer plate - every dish got worse and worse. Cuttlefish tasted like egg. Pasta was decent. Our grilled fish was overcooked. Service was very bad. I recommend going elsewhere.

Ordered a mixed plate (ham and cheese) for 2 persons and 2 glasses of wine (as you can see on the photo, a majority of it is already on my plate haha). Delicious. Staff was kind and they speak English very well. Had to wait 5 minutes until a table for 2 got freed. Would recommend.

We had a great experience at this place when we needed a late lunch around 3 PM. It was open and bustling with people, just like always. The Venezuelan waiter's kindness stood out, he was incredibly friendly. We enjoyed delicious sandwiches, and super fresh tasty salads. I would definitely return and recommend going there in the evening as well, as the atmosphere is fantastic.

We were impressed that this restaurant could offer also a good range of gluten free food which was prepared at a separate cafe two doors up. This "sister" cafe only serves " Senza glutine" food absolutely no cross contamination! Bravo!!

We were group of 4 and stopped for a quick lunch. The place serves mainly paninis. We ordered salad, capeese, brusceta and panini. All was really good. Cocktails were also decent. Ideal place for a hideaway during hot weather to enjoy the quick linch

My wife and I visited for dinner, I ordered the catch of the day, from which I had a choice. It was EXCELLENT. Perfectly cooked with Mediterranean vegetables. A wonderful meal in a beautiful setting.

We had a really good experience. Went there for an Aperol and ended up having a damn good Caprese! They have a nice menu for shared plattern or shared food in general. Really nice for a aperetivo in the afternoon. The ambiente is quite nice under grapes and located on a small plaza.

Actually, we chose the place because it showed some of the traditional donkey dishes on the photos saved in Google... but there are no more menus, just a huge selection of pizzas. They were really ok. A pub for a quick bite to eat. The terrace and the interior are rather spartan and dated. But it's good enough for a quick pizza.

The place you go for if you want some delicious pizza in Monopoli! They have so many delicious pizzas on the menu so it is a great spot if you want to experiment with some new flavors. The pizzas taste amazing (and me and my boyfriend are very pizza-picky😅). I absolutely recommend❤️ we visited twice during our stay.

One of the best pizzerias around and likely the best in Monopoli. Exciting combinations (matching wild boar salami with saffron accentuates its taste), luxurious options like pizza Fénice, fitted with a generous portion of fresh tuna tartare alongside other ingredients, and great spins on old classics like Regina affumicata. We were doing pizza take out and the service was prompt and kind, and without any hassle or unnecessary delays, despite a full house. Heartily recommended!

I got food poisoning after eating pizza Fume. Spent all night vomiting. Menu is not available online, photos shared on Google suggested that they offer pastas, but they only have pizza. Vibe is terrible - outside terrace is just next to busy street. I have no idea why it has so high score and so many reviews. Do not even think about.

Service with a smile? With a scowl more like. Pizzas were very good, Tiramisu was also good. But the waitress could do with trying a little harder... Rolling her eyes at customers, abrupt manners. Not a very good impression at all.

Review of The King – Monopoli We had an absolutely amazing experience at The King in Monopoli! We ordered the octopus, swordfish, salad, and fish & chips – and everything was simply delicious. The seafood was fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. The octopus was tender and flavorful, the swordfish had a great texture and taste, and the fish & chips were crispy and satisfying – truly a taste of the sea. The service was excellent – friendly, attentive, and efficient without being overbearing. We felt very welcome and well taken care of throughout the whole meal. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for high-quality seafood and a warm, relaxed atmosphere in the heart of beautiful Monopoli. One of the best meals we had in Italy!

I thought this place would be a gimmick, mostly due to it's name and the number of reviews. I was pleasantly proven wrong. Everything we ordered was very delicious, pizza dough was superb as well as the pirate salad, and the calorie bomb of fried pizza dough, I couldn't resist. Portions were finally adequate, unlike most of the places we've eaten at in Monopoli, and prices affordable. Highly recommend!

The food was good, but not shockingly great. The fish and chip was classic and tasty, and the burger sandwich was simply delicious. There was a QR code for an English menu, so that was great. Outdoor seating was nice because of the shades, especially because it was hot outside.

I had a wonderfull pizza, very fresh at a cheap price. Unfortunately, we waited for more than 40 minutes for our meal. We were also located next to a water fountain on the terrace that occasionally produced a sewer smell.

A little local gem! We came here each day on our trip for breakfast and its was great. They do a brilliant and affordable breakfast set menu as well as a huge amount of other choices. The team were always lovely and friendly and made the start to our day great each day.

Great food, but the service completely ruined our experience. We waited over an hour for our meals, and when we politely asked about the delay, the staff responded rudely, telling us they were “making the food” in a dismissive tone. We noticed other customers around us were also complaining about long waits for their orders. I’d recommend this place if time and patience are available to make it to the good food. Thankfully there’s no shortage of good food in the area.

Let me start by saying this place is situated in a courtyard which had a very garden feel. I truly enjoyed the service and the owners maturity to accept honest feedback on my main course. She advised the menu was only 3 days old so it is now up to them whether they address this item on the menu or not. But I definitely felt a positive willingness to accept the feedback and make changes. My starter and desert were perfect, especially the cheesecake desert.

We had a very late dinner at Komera. The staff very kindly served us at the late hour and helped to accommodate us with our toddler. The food was fresh and deeply flavourful. The wine recommended to us was one of the best we had in Puglia. The space is bright and open. It is a very comfortable spot for a slow and satisfying meal.

I have to admit that this could have been a 5 star review without a few misunderstandings. I went for the light lunch menu and ordered the penne and filete di sgombro (mackerel). The fish was good but it arrived before I had finished my first course. After that rush, I waited 30 minutes for them to ask if I wanted dessert and or coffee without any sign of life. (I later wondered if these weren't on offer on the light lunch menu). I'm a very patient person but eventually I gave up and went to pay and saw that the waitress already had my bill ready. I gave 5 stars for the food because the "crudiola" was outstanding.

Absolute great experience. From the service, to the attention to detail, to the actual food and the ambiance. It’s nice music, quiet, calm atmosphere, good food. The staff si very friendly, especially Daniel who was very friendly and profesional.

A very special little place well worth visiting. We got in before the rush so got a nice table outside. The staff are great and offer lots of advice about the different dishes and specials of the day. The food is all cooked to order and arrived quite quickly. Every dish we had was fabulous and left us wanting more. Definitely will be going back.

If you want to eat like a real local, these are the type of dishes we’d eat everyday. The chef is an amazing lady in the back that sometimes comes out and says hello. The prices are also insanely good compared to everything else in town. Make sure to book it in advance as there’s only a few tables! Ps order coffee at the end :)

Not to be missed! Our favourite place whenever we’re in Monopoli. Great for lunch, aperitivo or dinner - lots of tasty options (suitable also for vegetarians and vegans), great choice of wines (including natural wines) and amazing and kind staff. Cant wait to be back!

Only 1 of 3 dishes was good (the cozze gratinata). The eggplant parmigiana was okay but lacked flavor and wasn’t hot enough. The pasta all’amatriciana was one of the worst I’ve had - way too much sweet tomato sauce, not enough guincale flavor. The staff are nice and the vibe is upbeat.

The airconditioning in this place saved us from the almost unbearable heat outside. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The food was amazing. We had the lobster and the crab pasta. The prices for the seafood are very reasonable. The atmosphere is elegant but comfortable. We couldn't understand why the place was almost empty at 8 pm. It was definitely worth the visit!

Definitely one of the best restaurants in Monopoli! The food was really something special in terms of taste, ingredient combinations and plate presentation. The service was also really professional! Even though we were sitting outside, the interior design is very modern and sophisticated.

Now this place is a Gem in the heart of Monopoli ' , the owner has first class service & manners which these days are hard to find' , wine 🍷 & food is Amazing this is a must place to eat & enjoy quality experience in Monopoli highly recommended for all tourists , keep up the Fantastic work & especially the first class manners.

TOURIST SCAM, DO NOT DINE HERE. BAD FOOD, TERRIBLE SERVICE. Worst service ever had in Puglia. The restaurant was half empty but we sat for 30 mins before we could order. We were 7 people and the waiter told us we could only choose between 2 different pasta dishes. We all got the crab orecchiette, but there was ZERO crab in it, we asked for explanations, and we were told as a joke that "It is still better than in Denmark, where you guys live". Also, the waiter kept suggesting to buy one of the most expensive wines while we had chosen a different one. Please avoid this place.

Gluten free options were amazing! Brioche and cones are gluten free. And the Gelato is THE BEST we have ever had. Period. And we have tried at lease 20 places in Italy on our travels! A MUST GO for your Italy vacation.

The best gelato! Went here on the recommandation given by our host and had a nice surprise. The taste was delicious. They have a great variety of flavours. They also have coffe and other products based on ice cream. The prices are super good, 1 cone with 2 flavours starts from 2,5€ and with 3 flavours is 3€. The staff is friendly. Will go back on the next day for more gelatto.

We drove specifically out of our way to try and find something non pasta/pizza and it definitely did the trick. As far as burgers go they were actually quite yummy and definitely helped break up the monotony of traditional Italian food

If you are veggie or vegan and coming to Monopoli, Pop Burgers is your place. The owners are lovely couple who runs the place are the nicest people ever, so welcoming and knowledgeable. They speak English, Polish, Italian and Spanish so you can’t go wrong. The veggie selection is amazing: from fries, cauliflower and polenta sides to cauliflower stake and delicious veggie burger (they even have vegan bread!!). If you one of the foodie lovers and you like craft beers it’s definitely your spot. It’s a 100% yes!!!

This review only applies to the bar! We had a drink here before our dinner, a rooftop bar with beautiful sea view. To our surprise we were almost alone up there, considering it’s amazing view and fair prices I’d say it’s highly recommended to visit this rooftop for a nice and quiet drink or two :)

The room was spacious and beautifully designed, and the location couldn’t be more perfect. The view from the viewpoint is absolutely breathtaking. The restaurant exceeded our expectations, the quality of the food was outstanding, and every meal was worth its price. What really made our stay unforgettable was the staff. From the reception to the restaurant team, everyone was exceptionally kind, professional, and genuinely welcoming. We travel often, and this is by far the most romantic hotel we’ve ever stayed in, one of our best experiences yet. If you’re in the area, I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

It's a boutique hotel. So, no lobby, the reception is smaller than a room, the swimming pool is a big bath tub and the sunbathing area is for four people max. The breakfast is of a 3 star hotel: one type of ham and cheese, artificial juices, small variety of bread, etc. The best part are the rooms. They are nice. We had one over the street. You have to be careful because the door is on the street so you have to check out if a car is coming. They have a special agreement for the hotel guests, with a beach 15min drive, but the price is the regular price but in the first line. €400 it's too much for this hotel.

I stopped by for a cocktail on the rooftop. Stylish, yet cozy cushion seating areas, as well. Beautiful view of the water without the crowds. Was recommended the bergamotta spritz by a lovely gentleman, which was refreshing in the heat. He served a side of olives and taralli complimentary. Would definitely come again.

We stayed at Don Ferrante for 6 days and it was a fantastic experience in every way. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with a stunning view of the sea. The rooftop and pool provided an amazing space to relax that was perfect for our vacation. The entire staff was wonderful, they helpfully accommodated every one of my family's requests. Renzo, Gaetano, Gaetano, Brenda, Alessandro, Valentina, Alessio, Francesca, Maria and the entire staff at Don Ferrante did an amazing job and made us immediately feel at home. Also the food at the restaurant was amazing. 10/10 hotel.

My mum and I spent three nights staying at Locanda Don Ferrante in the Town House and we had the best time. Everyone was so friendly from the transport drivers to the front desk and made our stay really lovely. The views are phenomenal and I would absolutely recommend having dinner at the restaurant- we went twice because we loved it (the best meal we had in Puglia). From a practical standpoint was also really worth staying here due to the logistical difficulties of parking in Monopoli- the wonderful team would park our car for us and drive us through the old town by golf cart to get the car whenever we needed it. Sandwiches are amazing! Had the sandwich tuna, special nr. 24 and a beer. After a quick dip in the water I went back and took to grilled Pulpo sandwich, special 24 + Beer. Both are good! I'll go back again before I leave Monopoli. 😋

I've yet to try the mixed fried seafood elsewhere but the portion size and pricing seemed normal if not better than elsewhere. It was a bit salty for my taste but my husband enjoyed it. Definitely get something to wash it down with.

I'm not surprised that the one star reviews come from people who weren't able to actually eat the food. My "lo speciale" con polpo (chefs special octopus sandwich) was divine. If you like octopus even when it isn't deep fried, eating this sandwich while you look out over the sea will bring you to a higher plane of existence.

What a good surprise, mare chef Street food is a killer, choose you base burger sauce, add the fish food you like( octopus, tuna, swordfish, salmon, tuna or salmon tartare) and you are good to go. Friendly staff, well set price for food 1nd drinks (we had rosé wine primitivo for 18 euros, excellent for the price). Plenty of sites around with pillows facing the open sea with fresh breeze. The beef burger with toppings was quite basic and lacked the exceptional taste I have come to expect from other burger establishments. The Aperol was satisfactory, but the primary factor that diminished the overall experience was the lackluster service. The servers displayed a concerning level of lethargy and seemed indifferent to our needs. Furthermore, our main courses were served with a significant time gap of 20 minutes, and there was no server available to inquire about our satisfaction with the meal. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this establishment to others.

The pizza was quite good, full of rich flavors. And the cheese could for lactose free. The spaghetti was also great. It’s not the typical Italian style, with a mix of crunchy and firm textures. The spicy, grainy sauce was my favorite part.

A family place that’s mainly for locals, the views are breathtaking but it was very cheap and that was reflected the dishes and service that wasn’t all that great and some mistakes were made due to being lost in translation. They don’t speak english and most of the staff didn’t bother to smile. They had an A/C unit that seemed to be on, yet it was very warm in their indoor dining area. The red wine was served at 30°C straight from the shelf in the hot area which ruined an otherwise good wine.

We came late and the kitchen was closed but the owner made us panzerotti and served us wine. This has been an eatery since 1927. Family run. Our host Johnny was gracious and inviting.

The place was almost completely empty, only 2 tables seated but the arrogant woman at the counter said we can wait 1h30m if we want to get our pizza. Our first night in Italy was a very late one as we didn’t land til well into the night, unfortunately many places were closed but this little gem wasn’t! We had the most amazing food, the pizzas were incredible and affordable. We found out that during the day the shop is a bakery, so we enjoyed wonderful freshly made bread and croissants for our breakfast. Would highly recommend.

This restaurant is the reason we keep returning to Monopoli every year. Their pizza is the best pizza we ever had. The crust is perfect balance of soft and crunchy. Perfect sauce in both tomato and white pizzas. I highly recommend pizza bufala, with perfect buffalo mozzarella. Also try the arancini as appetizer and cannolo as dessert, both superb. The prices are very good. We are looking forward to our next wisit for fifth year.

The roasting chicken looked mouth watering in the window but unfortunately unseasoned and a bit dry. We tried the mixed roast box and the mixed fried box but the fried wings were overcooked and unseasoned too. The fries were great and the team was very helpful despite our language barrier. The best thing on offer were the abundant sauces! We tried mango relish and truffle mayo, both made the chicken better. There's no room for dine in at the venue.

We ordered some chicken and fries for takeout and were amazed by how crispy everything still was even after already being carried around for about 20 minutes. Portions are really generous and the staff is charmingly nice. The chicken was juicy and grilled to perfection. Together with the tangy sauce and the salty fries it was just finger licking delicious! Even though our stay in Monopoly was super short, this meal combined with the romantic sunset at the shore made it a trip that i won’t easily forget.

The best: tasty chicken ! also, plenty of sauces to choose from. Spoiler: the baked potatoes are better than the fried ones ! The service is kind and prices are cheap. The food is to take away but you can eat inside just standing because there are no tables.
