3rd time (28 July 2023) - this time with my partner ☆☆☆ I was a bit embarrassed to have recommended it to him as he, being a local & someone who has travelled a lot, didn't enjoy it, at all. My experience this time? So-so. So most likely this the last visit. 2nd time (18 July 2023) - ☆☆☆☆☆ Yum! Had lunch here (menu del dia) on my birthday. I had revuelto and guiso. To make sure you have a table especially during the summer, make sure to reserve a table online—here. No need to call them as they are juggling 50 things at the same time. They have tables outside, too if that's what you prefer. Personally, I prefer to be inside. They don't have gluten-free bread, at least with the menu del dia, so may want to bring your own. You can see their menu del dia on their website. 1st time (13 July 2023) - ☆☆☆☆☆ Nice, elegant and welcoming ambience. Spic and span. Tables well-set and not too close to each other. It was our first time. Menu del dia @ €12.50 which includes a drink, a starter and a main (both of which have only 2 options to choose from, and dessert (just one available—but I suppose they change it every day) or coffee/infusion/tea. I had sopa/crema de remolacha con coco (beetroot soup with coconut) and arroz meloso con merluza (rice cooked longer than usual with hake). Both yummy! (As I didn't get a dessert) I like the fact that I can just reserve a table online—and you get a confirmation of your booking at once. So there's really no need to call them. Friendly, warm and funny staff—very efficient. It gave me the feeling I was eating at home. Very rare in Galicia to get that kind of friendliness and a good sense of humor at that! It was like we were friends! Strange, I know but I'm definitely coming back to let my husband try their food and their hospitality. He will like it for sure. Well-presented food. Dishes you mostly can't find elsewhere (the menu del dia at least). My friend and I really enjoyed our lunch there—a bit challenging when it's a menu del dia in my experience... I was actually hesitant to go at first because of the 1 star reviews—but we didn't regret coming here at all! Perhaps the one thing I'd like to comment was the absence of toilet paper and/or tissues in the female's toilet. I suppose that was because it was a full-house and they were swamped with work left and right so it was ok. I'm definitely bringing my pocket tissue next time, just in case! 😄

Food was absolutely amazing, couldn't fault anything. Tacos, burger, dumplings, salmon were all delicious. Waitress Xela was fantastic too, recommending dishes. So informative. Would recommend this place to anyone.

There is even a small restaurant upstairs that will cook and serve your fish that you purchase downstairs! You can find public washrooms upstairs too.

Really cool market. Downstairs is the traditional Spanish market with fruit, veg, fish and meat. We picked up a few chorizos. Not expensive, Upstairs is a range of tapas bars, wine and cocktail bars. Whilst they have very big variety of seafood my only problem was that everything was a bit too cooked for seafood. Usually when u order seafood u expected a bit less red than it was...I think because of that we can't say that the seafood was so special, but the "pulpo de freita" and the "almejas" were very good.

Could not recommend this place more! Amazing atmosphere- sit either indoors or outside but watch the pulpo being cooked in a huge vat and the locals buzz in and out. A great place to try traditional food from galicia. We had octopus, sausage in wine, empanada, croquetas and a cheese cake. All of the dishes were great but the octopus sandwich with cheese was the favorite. Also the service is on spot even though there are many tables the dishes arrive in time and the service is done always with a smile. It's busy so make sure to be early or reserve before coming

The pulpo is extraordinary tender and delicious. Definitely worth it. Other dishes I have had better at other places. But Tiramisu was also absolutely 5 stars one of the best. Wine was delicious and fresh. Prices are very down to earth. Service is great! You have to know what you came for to appreciate it.

The lasagne was really, really good and served in a pan still sizzling. The service was top notch too, Jose was lovely and very good at his job. The restaurant was very nicely done with all tables set with tablecloths, cutlery and glassware.

We had lasagna, spaghetti alle vongole, pizza and calamares. The pasta is a little bit overcooked but taste was really good, so I would still give it 5 stars. For dessert we have the tiramisu and chocolate cake - we enjoyed it as well. Service wise, the people were very friendly and nice - just that this place is quite popular that there were a lot of people so there were moments where we have to wait a bit to have the desserts. Atmosphere was buzzing with a lot of people and it was nice to see family and friends gathering and eating together🙌🏼

Excellent pizza! Everyone in my group enjoyed their food. I ordered a takeaway pizza-make SURE you ask the restaurant to cut the pizza into slices. I didn’t have anything to cut it with at the hotel so I had to tear it. Not a pretty sight…

The restaurant was very clean, and the atmosphere was superb. We were here for the world championships, and they have food for every diet. After having eaten much Galician food this little place comes across as a breath of fresh air. Their inventive combination of local ingredients to yield something entirely different and incredibly tasty is to be lauded and supported! My wife and I discovered a great Rioja and a Mencia. We had their salad with figs (brilliant!), the salted tuna with mozzarella (a first for us) and their Vietnamese salad rolls filled with local pork pancetta (melt in the mouth!). The service was great, helpful without over promising and really friendly staff. Anyone visiting Pontevedra should stop by for a meal or two and I am sure you will not regret it!

Bico de Xeado in Pontevedra is a great stop if you’re craving quality ice cream. The flavors are deep and rich—clearly made with care and good ingredients. You can mix two flavors in a single (pretty small) cup, which is perfect if you’re indecisive or just want to try more. The texture is super creamy and smooth, and the sweetness is well balanced. We had a short amount of time while in Port from our cruise last October. We weren’t sure where to eat, but this place has good reviews, and we decided to try it out. We were NOT disappointed. The people there were so kind to us (it’s often awkward going places where we don’t speak the language). The food was delicious, the portions very generous, and the prices were even good! Every one of us loved it and were sad when we had to rush away to meet back up with our tour. We would absolutely come back if we were in the area again, and certainly recommend others stop past for a meal!

There was no one else in the restaurant apart from our family so obviously not busy. However the food came out cold and practically inedible. My Spanish is not good enough to be able to complain but if I was in the UK and had been served such awful food I would have demanded a full refund. Even the children didn’t eat their food!! Avoid at all costs!
