Lovely family pub in the beautiful Cirencester. The indoor is really beautiful, very well kept and cosy. Food was delicious: i had their burger, my fiancee a fish and chips and my parents the steak. Service was attentive, friendly, the team was very well trained. Well done Bear Inn!

Popped in for a bite of lunch when visiting the area. Really nice food and atmosphere. We sat in the outside area which was dog friendly. My only criticism would be that it took a while for food to arrive but it was worth the wait x

I came with my dad for the Father’s Day menu, we both ended up having the same delicious two-course dinner. The atmosphere was lively and Alannah was friendly and helpful throughout. A wonderful meal after a warm day at the car show!

Stopped off on a journey thru. What a little gem. Right on the high street & close to the Forum car park. I had the hummus bowl 👌🏼*chef’s kiss and an ice cold G&T on one of the hottest days of the year. Garden seating too and rooms. Cheers guys!!

It always helps when you visit a new place in the summertime but the outdoor garden area was really pleasant, especially with having a dog, just sat off Dyer Street was perfect for having a few beers. We waited until the main menu at 5pm and the food was amazing, they even do a dog chew menu 😃🍻

Quite a large place with a decent patio area at the front. Usual tap beers and a few real ales available. Staff were friendly and polite. Decently decorated. Enjoyed my visit.

Such a lovely experience all round, the team fitted us in at the last minute by taking our pre order on the phone so we could eat before the kitchen closed. The quality and presentation of the food was beautiful, and the staff were so sweet with our 1 year old. We honestly couldn't have asked for more.

Lovely place for a lunch. Booked a table but it was super quiet, it was a hot day though. The food is excellent. I had the scampi, which for £20 was great value. I had a side of ham hock,leek and mushy peas which are excellent. Highly recommended

One of the best fish and chips experiences I’ve had. The fish was incredibly fresh with a light, crispy batter and moist, flaky inside. The smashed peas were a standout – easily the best I’ve tasted. The salt and pepper squid was perfectly seasoned and impressively fresh. Service was warm, efficient, and attentive without being overbearing. Despite the restaurant’s popularity and steady crowd, the staff maintained excellent standards and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. Every detail showed their commitment to quality. Pricing was fair for the top-tier dining experience offered. Highly recommended for anyone seeking truly exceptional fish and chips and great service.

We had a group of ten reserved, and sat down with no wait. Jackie took good care of us and the food was great. This place is really nice. Not too loud or crowded. The lobster mac and cheese was on another level. Be sure to book ahead of time. I did see some walk-ins turn away due to no seating. I would highly recommend this place and I will be going back on my next trip.

We had a really lovely dinner here tonight and the food was genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, once we got back to our hotel, our youngest wasn’t feeling well and ended up throwing up everything he ate. We suspect the culprit was the super sweet drink that came with the kids' meal. It tasted overwhelmingly sugary, and although the waiter mentioned it only had 0.6g of sugar, that likely means it was loaded with artificial sweeteners—not ideal for little stomachs. Word of advice: skip the kids' drinks. That said, the rest of the meal was fantastic. The fish and chips absolutely stole the show—crispy, fresh, and flavorful. The beer selection is solid too. And the house-made Oreo cheesecake was incredible. I don’t even like Oreos and we still ordered a second helping. On the flip side, the fried seaweed was a miss—it came as a bowl of salty, sweet seaweed dust that didn’t quite work. But overall, the service was warm and attentive.

We order the fish and chips as a main and mussels as a starter. I have to say both are superb. I have been living in Grimsby for 7 years and after I tried fish and chips in so many places I always think the fish and chips in Grimsby are the country best. I am wrong! This restaurant is the best! Jackie is so friendly and we definitely need to come back again and again. (I changed from chips to sweet potato chips but the normal chips are great too!)

Excellent fish and chips! We came on a Tuesday when their fish batter is gluten free and while this was not on purpose I must say I could find nothing to fault! I had the Plaice & Chips and the fish was cooked perfectly and the batter nice and crispy. I had the Curry Shop Chip Sauce on the side and it was great - a bit of heat but nothing too spicy! A lovely visit with family - excellent quality fish and chips and wonderful service!

Disappointing! Upon entering the Malt & Anchor, things looked promising. It was nicely decorated, appeared clean and tidy, and the staff were welcoming. Given the high prices, I was anticipating quality, tasty food. Unfortunately, the bubble batter prawns were a serious letdown, with the batter undercooked on the inside, causing the prawns to drown in wet batter. The ham hock mushy peas were nice, though the portion was small. The salt and pepper squid was flavoursome, albeit lacking in salt and pepper, and the few pieces seemed lost in a large box. The cod loin was tasty and meaty, yet marred by more soggy batter. The chips were dreadful. The cheesecake was fluffy and delicious, with a generous serving. Regrettably, although some aspects of the meal were enjoyable, too many items fell short, and it seemed overpriced for what was offered. We have passed this restaurant many times, looked at the menu and thought we really should try it. Well this week we did. It was lunchtime on a Tuesday lunchtime and it was quiet, so getting a table was not a problem. I suspect during busier periods booking would be sensible. The ambience was good with quite a chilled vibe. Service was very quick, friendly and professional. The menu is extensive enough for all tastes and whilst not cheap, proved to be excellent value for money given the quality of the food and the care taken in preparing it. The wine list is good, with a good selection of wines by the glass. I ordered one of the risottos because a) I love a good risotto and b) I find it's a reasonable way of gauging the care and skill of the chef. Mine was extremely good! Likewise my wife's chicken and roasted vegetable salad. My coffee semifredo was delightful and a mention should go to the olives which we had instead of a starter, excellent. So if you enjoy Italian food that is made with skill and care, do give this place a visit, it'll be worth it.

Came here for my partners 30th birthday tonight. All we can say is WOW, the food was outstanding, completely faultless we did not want it to end. We were full but still had food envy watching other tables food come out after eating ours, as it was simply that delicious. Could not fault this place from start to finish, thank you for an unforgettable evening. PS, make sure you book ahead, we saw at least 5 couples get turned away due to not booking - make sure you do, you won’t regret it.

On a Friday night, upon arrival with no booking, the manager skillfully and kindly prepared us a table in a few minutes. Food was splendid. Attention to details was seen in penne pesto served with pine nuts. Pizza was delicious to its dough. Gelato - sorbet with cream based added a lovely touch. Not to mention their limoncello spritz. Wonderful place of delicious meal and ambience

A Slice of Italy in Every Bite – From the moment we stepped into this charming Italian gem, we were swept away by the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, offering genuine smiles. Their passion for Italian cuisine truly shines through. Now, the star of the show: the authentic Neapolitan pizza. Crafted with a beautifully blistered sourdough base, it was light, airy, and packed with deep, fermented flavor – the kind you’d expect in the heart of Naples. Topped with fresh ingredients and baked to perfection, it was nothing short of phenomenal. I wish if they can do Vegetarian options like Veg Supreme. The overall service was excellent, with each course arriving at a comfortable pace and presented with care. We did indulge in dessert, and while the affogato was a nice finish, it fell a little short of the traditional Italian preparation – a richer espresso and a smoother gelato would elevate it to the standard of the rest of the meal. It’s worth noting that prices lean on the higher end, but given the quality of the food, service, and setting, it still feels like a fantastic experience overall.

A lovely place to lunch. The food and atmosphere are amazing. We had spaghetti bolognaise and carbonara. Followed by Torte Al Lemoncella and coffee all superb. The staff are friendly and efficient. Highly recommended

The food was so delicious, fresh and hot, though we were slightly disappointed with the antipasti price. Great wine list. Fabulous friendly, attentive staff. The pizza chef was great and obviously took so much pride in his work, cleaning down everything when not making pizzas. A great restaurant with a lovely atmosphere.

Its my favourite Indian restaurant in Cirencester. The food is good spicy and hot. Not crazy expensive. Staff and very friendly and attentive. Nice large kingfishers.

The staff were incredibly, they could not have been more helpful. They were great at explaining the menu and even remade one of our dishes which we found too spicy. The food was so lovely, it was well presented and the menu had more variety than your average Indian restaurant. It was very clean and had a lovely atmosphere. Ideal for couples and quieter groups

My partner and I lived in Cirencester for the past year and gave this place a go on a random night when we first moved in. We moved from Manchester (curry mile) to Cirencester to be closer to family so we had experienced some decent ones previously. Safe to say they actually don’t hold a candle to this place. We didn’t have a bad meal there and I’d say we ordered probably every 2 weeks for the whole year. Big meal for 2 people ready in 25 mins every time, 10% discount if you collect and order on their website, ended up being the highlight of mine and my partners week to spend £30 on this amazing takeaway! Couldn’t recommend it enough if you live in Cirencester or visiting. Show this place some love!

This place caters well for vegans, I had the sabjhi sambar and it was excellent, maybe one of the best curries I have ever had. Atmosphere and staff were also nice I will definitely come again!

Ordered biryani and corriander chicken. Biryani does not taste like biryani at all. Totally bland. Even the chicken did not taste good as well. But chicken biryani was the most disappointing. Not at all Indian taste

Last Saturday we stopped in Cirencester on our way home from holiday. Not knowing the area we fell upon The Igloo by chance. The best bit of luck we had. We both had different meals and neither was disappointed. The food was excellent, with plenty of it. When I say that it's the best Breakfast that I've bought I don't say it lightly. All in all excellent value for money.

What a great place, had the fried squid, steak noodles and the Eton mess which was all so good. The food arrived in no time and perfectly timed based as we enjoyed the afternoon. The service was great and everyone was so friendly with my doggo. I highly recommend the restaurant and can’t wait to come back!

I've just been to the Igloo in cirencester and it's the best GF meal I've had in a long time.The Big Daddy meal was fabulous.The flavour and amount and it cam out really quickly .Thesrltaff were so friendly and helpful.I would absolutely recommend anyone to go there .I'm a ceoliac and my friend is a veggie and both meals were fabulous.Thankyou Igloo for a really lovely evening. I shall deffinately be coming again. 😀

Just incredible! My boyfriend and I came here on Saturday 20th January, and we cannot fault a thing. The staff were lovely, very knowledgeable about the menu and the service was prompt. Cocktails were lovely! The food was really fresh and had so much flavour to it, we had the best night. We’ll definitely be visiting again when we’re back in Cirencester - thank you!

We had a lovely lunch here. Really tasty food. Good portion sizes. Friendly and efficient service. We shared calamari and prawns for starters which were cooked perfectly and came with a yummy dip. I had a chicken and bacon salad which . My husband had steak, ribs, chips and onion rings, steak was cooked well. Prices were very reasonable, we will definitely be returning!

The selection of food was amazing and we had never been before, we went after being recommended, however our starters were a mixture of raw, overcooked and rubbery. Our mains were not edible due to raw sides and over cooked and dry meat, the drinks were great and our server was lovely, however, food was incredibly disappointing, which was a shame as, the service and atmosphere was lovely, after a whopping £60 with some dishes taken off the bill, unfortunately I would not say it’s a value for money and I would not return

Josh was fantastic and was a charmer!! He was so help-full with our weird dietary requests as we were both starving at this point ( me and my mum) We had a vegan panini, a pie and a extra salad with a large glass of wine and tap water :) He made the visit worth while so thank you sir we had a lovely time at the pub! 🏳️‍🌈

We were doing the tourist thing in town, when my super-spouse suggested that we find a pub -- not a restaurant, not an eatery, definitely not a fast-food joint. Mike, the neighborhood security guard, recommended The Crown. Good choice. SS (a Bristol native) commented on the authenticity of her steak and ale pie more than once. I went with a more absurd choice, a Southern-fried chicken burger (I'll attach a photo) -- and it was delicious. For adult bevs, we went with a Stowford cider (for her), a Belt Driver IPA (for me), and a Hugo-something Spritzer (my memory fails on that one, but it was tasty). I'd go back!

Stumbled across The Crown looking for a place to eat, and I'm glad we decided to go in. The staff is Friendly and attentive, and the place has a great atmosphere. The food is very tasty and good portion too. We ordered Chargrilled Lamb Chops, Herb Crusted Pan Fried Salmon, and Thumb Ups for the Bacon & Chorizo Mac & Cheese, absolutely DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommended.

A fairly ordinary seeming pub but the burger I had was fantastic. Chips and onion rings were excellent too.

Understaffed or careless employees. Arrived on a Friday at 6 o’clock, restaurant was completely empty just 2 customers on the terrace having drinks . After waiting to be seated for a few minutes and we were ignored went at the bar and asked the waitress if we can sit anywhere, she answered no , she needs to check because the restaurant is extremely busy . We were very surprised to hear that because no tables had the reservation sign on them and there were 2 people seated beside us in a restaurant with 2 floors and at least 80 covers capacity. After waiting for her to finish whatever was keeping her busy she struggled to find an empty table and we were seated. Had to go to the bar and look for the waitress in the entire restaurant every time we needed anything like to order drinks , order starters , order mains , ask for menus, ask for bill , ask to pay , so around 5-6 times just going and searching for the busy waitress . Every single time had to go look for her and wait for her to finish either her important conversation with her colleague or for her to finish her more important jobs . Food was fantastic, setup end atmosphere fantastic, authentic Spanish.

Beautiful space and friendly service but sadly, the food just wasn’t for us. We ordered a variety of dishes: anchovies on roasted peppers, blue cheese with figs and almonds, fried aubergines, battered fish, and patatas bravas and found most items too experimental or overpowering in flavor. It might work for people with a more adventurous or acquired taste, but definitely not a safe pick if you’re looking for comfort or familiarity.

This was hands down the best dinner we’ve had in the Cotswolds for a long time. Straight away the service was excellent; hosts were warm & friendly. We had booked a table indoors but they let us move our booking outside with no issues. Food was OUTSTANDING! It’s our favourite cuisine and this is definitely in the top two Spanish restaurants we’ve tried in the UK. Could have eaten the whole menu. Solid drinks list as well. Already looking for a reason to go back!

Went here the other night and all I can say is that it was nothing short of impeccable! We said that a member of our group was gluten free and they had a wonderfully varied menu available that catered to every taste from every section. We were told when we got given the menu that we can ask any questions to make us feel comfortable and confident in our food choices without feeling like a burden to any members of staff. Going forward the wait staff were nothing short of amazing with every attention of detail being incredible. All members of staff seemed happy and stress free too, a sign of a well oiled ship. As a waitress myself I was blown away! That is saying nothing about the food which it felt like every bite of every dish was so perfectly crafted we couldn't help but ask for more. The fact that the dishes came out at varied times made the meal an experience, rather than a rush and you could truly savour each dish. The wine was stunning and well thought out and the Vibes and atmosphere from when you walked in the door was unlike anything I have experienced and all for a reasonable price point. WILL DEFINATELY BE BACK. Thank you to all of the team.

A great Tuesday lunchtime visit. Plenty of space to sit down inside and out, plus it is dog friendly! The drinks menu was good but we were driving so we just looked, it was certainly an inviting list. The menu was as you might expect, a lot of classic dishes there. Something for everyone and prepared in the kitchen which is visible from a large portion of the dining room. We picked five dishes between the two of us, and none disappointed. Our server was able to make recommendations and I'm definitely going back to try more from the menu. There is a daily specials board and if the pork loin or the fillet steak is on offer again I will certainly try them as the price point for these items (£16 and £18 respectively) was very tempting in itself. Overall a very good spot to visit on Cirencester and while central, it is hidden delightfully in a little courtyard, so even when it is busy, it doesn't feel like it. Our server was friendly and attentive, our total bill just topped £50 for the two of us including soft drinks. With wine, expect to add another £15pp perhaps? Well worth it for the experience.

We had a delicious dinner and delightful drink in the beautiful courtyard yesterday evening. The waitress who served us was warm and friendly without being over the top and we enjoyed every second of it. It was really weird because I said to my Mum that I fancied a tapas place with a courtyard and then we walked past it after going to the outdoor pool. Also I loved the name as it is my daughter's nickname. The food was full of flavour and presented well. I would have liked another cocktail or many as it was soooo good. We will definitely return and recommend to people. Thank you

I’ve eaten several times here, most recently on Saturday with a group of 8 friends. The food was excellent, wine choices were great, and the service was perfect. We all had a really enjoyable evening.

We had a wonderful lunch today celebrating my husband’s birthday. The food was delicious, imaginative and nicely presented. The staff were attentive and friendly, we would definitely recommend.

This individual restaurant is just by the crossroads in the centre of Cirencester. We popped in on a Tuesday lunchtime without booking and we were able to get a table upstairs. But if you are keen to go, I'd recommend booking. We'd passed this place many times before and read the menu in the window, and always thought it sounded interesting. Well we weren't disappointed! The menu is relatively small but with sufficient variations to appeal to most people. You could choose a variety of small plates or something more substantial. We started by sharing some queen olives and halloumi with sliced honey, both were brilliant. Our mains were smoked haddock risotto and mussels with beans and greens, again, superb. Wines were good and sensibly priced and service was excellent and very friendly. The vibe is somewhere between tapas bar and independent restaurant. Not cheap, but definitely worth it We thought it was lovely and will definitely return.

I liked it. I think maybe it is a bit expensive for what it is but i suppose it is in central Cirencester. The breakfast was good. The staff were very good.

Visited here for a quick breakfast to finish off our weekend in the Cotswolds. We were the first in but it soon started to fill up. We had a flat white, fresh orange juice and avacado and poached eggs. All were lovely and arrived quickly.

My wife and I went in for a late breakfast and couldn't fault the food, there was a good size portion and great taste & quality. It was value for money and would recommend the avocado toast and eggs and the chorizo hash with fried eggs. Even the coffees were the best I've drunk for ages.

We dined here and had a wonderful meal and service from attentive staff. Meat and veggie options very tasty and a great portion. So much so we booked them as private caterers for our Cotswold wedding. They provided wonderful food which left our guests wanting more, great organisation, made it easy for us and food was amazing! We are considering another wedding party just for the food. Highly recommend for service, food quality and flavour.

We were recommended to visit this restaurant whilst we were staying for the weekend in Cirencester & have to stay we are so glad we did. The meal from start to finish was fantastic. All 3 courses were top notch & the staff were so attentive When visiting the area again, this will be a must to eat at again Definitely a 5* meal

We were met with a friendly smile and a welcoming 'Hello'. The mission was to have a relax couple of days and it was fully accomplished. Not only we enjoyed breakfast were the poached eggs were cooked to perfection, but we also had the pleasure to have dinner twice at this gem. It is clear the chef knows how to create delicious combinations, from starters to puddings. We tried a starter, three mains, and four different puddings in total. All our empty plates were a testament to the high quality food. All in all, delicious food friendly staff and relax atmosphere.

What an amazing restaurant. The food was outstanding, the wine list was extensive and most importantly, the customer service was the best we've ever had. Ben the manager was exceptional, he made us feel like royalty the entire time we were there. All of the staff were superb. If you go to Cirencester, visit this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

Went here 2 nights in a row. Service was fantastic and food was great! Simple menu that you could easily order everything on the menu. Brought our 10 month old and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Highly recommended

This restaurant looks great from the outside. Great big open kitchen and the menu has plenty of interesting classic dishes. The food itself is fairly average and we thought that some dishes like the various tapas style dishes we tried didn't taste great and were dissapointing. We also didn't like the sea food casserole which the waiter said was one of the most popular dishes, it was a seafood soup with overcooked fish and just didn't taste great. We loved the special of grilled hake, it was really good although a bit pricey. The service was lovely, and the team made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Hopefully next time the actual food will be better.

Michelin rated restaurant (good prices), that has amazing food, cooked - prepared in front of you, appetizers are delicious, main course meals are very delicious and the dessert strongly recommended. We ate here today and we are glad we came here. Customer service is amazing, the place is very clean and the food is awesome, as mentioned before. Ambience is perfect, waiting staff is brilliant. I ordered the oysters, served with lemon, Tabasco hot sauce and a serving bowl of chopped up pickled onion and peppercorn; it was delicious. My main course meal was the ribeye steak (medium well) with a cheese sauce and my side order was broccoli with melted cheese; the steak was perfect - mouth watering - very delicious and the broccoli was really good. My colleagues also purchased the freshly baked goods and they were delicious. If your ever in this beautiful town, you have to come and eat here; you will thank me later.

We stopped for a quick lunch at Made by Bob. I had the mussels and fries. It was very moorish and the mussels were well presented. My better half had the pate. We had a side order of their homemade bread - also excellent. It's a great place with good service.

Had a lovely meal here for my wife's birthday. Keira, our waitress was a real gem and an asset to the business. Food was delicious and staff super friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again when I'm back in the area

The food was pretty good. The place is cute and feels very Thai. We had Thai veg curry, soup, rice and vegetables. Everything was really nice and the portions are pretty large. Loved their cups with handles shaped like an elephant’s trunk. The service was efficient but the staff seemed very unfriendly. It was as if they wanted us to order more drinks or more food.

We enjoyed everything! Very clear vegan sections on the menu, with plenty of great options. A beautiful interior, which transports you to Thailand. Very attentive service. Everything we ate was delicious, especially the Thai soup starter and massaman curry.

Really stunning interior design which continues throughout both floors of the restaurant and even into the loos. The food was presented beautifully and was full of flavour. There is a wide selection of choices on the menu, even for someone who doesn't like spice I found it hard to narrow down what I wanted from the many options available. The service was super quick, starters were out within 5-10 mins and mains soon after. Drinks order was taken just as promptly. All the staff were friendly and polite, greeting us with smiles. All in all a lovely restaurant that should be in the top 10 in Cirencester!

What an amazing place. The decor is stunning and the food is excellent. It centrally located so it is perfect for a night out out!!! I was with my partner who is veggie and there was a good selection which tastes great. For the meat eaters out there the selection was amazing. They have a large menu so be prepared to spend ages choosing your dishes 🤣 For 2 it was £60 and that included starter, main and drinks. They catered for small groups like our (4) and we saw bigger groups too. It still had an intimate feel and I can't imagine roudy tables being tolerated for too long!! Would definitely recommend

We were really looking forward to our dinner here but felt slightly let down, the food arrived very quickly which suggests it was already cooked, it tasted good but we wouldn't be rushing back. The decor is fantastic and the staff are excellent and we were well looked after.

Holiday group dinner spent here in one of our meals while in Cirencester as reviews online were very impressive. We had a 5-course tapas sharing set menu. Starters were delicious especially the Iberian platter and the goat’s cheese mousse. The paella was not how we expected it to be. Not much options that day. At the time of writing they got cod, lamb and veggies only. We were expecting a proper seafood paella not only with fish alone. The lamb paella was not too great. The cod paella was so-so. The veggie one was a bit bland. The rice was al dente which was impressive. Churros was also below par. Too skinny. The chocolate dip was great though.

Brilliant! Loved everything about Tierra and Mar. Staff were genuinely friendly and cared about what they were serving. The tapas were delicious. Felt like a fusion of tapas plus - delightful. The croquettas were the nicest we've ever had - melt in the mouth. Tuna carpaccio was yummy. All gorgeous. Would go back tomorrow!

Just wow! Outstanding food and exceptional service from start to finish. Thank you so much for making my wife's birthday so special with beautiful food and drinks.

This is a real gem! Food is absolutely delicious, gorgeously presented and delivered by friendly staff. The entrée includes a 4 times world winner olive oil with a strong herbal flavour, which on its own would be a good enough reason to visit. Chefs mix flavours in a surprising way, but by no means strange or over the top. You will be genuinely pleasantly surprised with every dish - I can especially recommend boneless spicy chicken wings, lamb and seafood. If you opt in for a set menu, make sure you add a few tapas as well to fully appreciate what's on offer. There is a nice selection of wines and liquors, and should you enjoy cider, there is a Basque semi-dry one you cannot miss. There is only one thing this restaurant lacks: two Michelin stars! Even if you're half an hour away, the trip here will be worth it without a doubt.

We got the weekday 3 course set menu and really enjoyed it! The flavours were good and the service was attentive. I enjoyed the blackberry and lime dessert and Patatas Bravas side especially

It was a brilliant evening and the food was very good and very friendly service the only downside in our opinion was that the portion size had could be a big better or more especially when you choose a sharer one. The difference between single and sharer wasn't very big...but overall very good food.

We had dinner at Téatro as we were staying at Ingleside House. Lovely decor and friendly service with a good garden area. We ate inside and started with a good Twice Baked Cheese Souffle, with Gouda Cheese Sauce and a Burrata with Heritage Tomatoes. Mains were a delicious Native Breed Pork Chop cooked on the Josper grill and the Moules Mariniere, with sourdough. And to finish a sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream.

We had an amazing steak dinner here – the food and drinks were absolutely delicious. After our meal, we were invited into the bar area, where a very talented pianist played for us for the rest of the evening. A lovely place to dine and enjoy quality time with your loved ones while in Cirencester

Delightful place for dinner. Really nice atmosphere, very friendly and efficient staff. There was excellent live music on (a friday night) which added to the ambience. A small but well put together menu with lots of options. There was a mix up with two of our main courses but this was rectified immediately and didn’t detract from an excellent evening. Would really recommend a visit.

It could have been an off day for them, but unfortunately nothing went well for our booking. The food and drink were not special and we had to send back 2 steaks because they were undercooked and not what was ordered. The manager tried to make up for the obvious sub par food being served. It was a special birthday celebration and the meal fell flat.

Popped in for a coffee and told that chef wasn’t serving anything from the kitchen even though it was advertised till 10.30. Coffee was great a pleasure to sit in the leafy gardens.

Food was very generous portions & everyone enjoyed it. The chicken in the chicken tikka marsala was very juicy & tender (a great curry!). They cater for vegetarians & have a special lunch deal on weekdays between 12 noon & 3pm. Service was exceptional. Very friendly, helpful & caring. They have free wifi & are dog friendly. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a friendly spot for a pint or a relaxed pub meal.

The best beef and ale pie I've had in Britain so far, and that means a lot. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Nice atmosphere too! They also had vegan and vegetarian options.

Nice town centre pub, great food at reasonable prices for a town centre pub, one of my usual drinking places years ago, pop in more for food these days, still run by Mandy , who remembered me even though rarely in the pub for last 15 years, Bar staff are great, mainly been served by Megan and Sian , both are diamonds and friendly with it, even if it’s busy and they are rushed off their feet,maybe been served by 2 others once or twice and again are friendly , making up a great team, Some days / times it can be quiet , but that’s not necessarily a bad thing , Would readily recommend Only downside Stella no longer served, but many pubs don’t either So I just switch to cider Sometimes when busy there can be a wait, again that is a good sign, that your food is done fresh and not being re heated or worse microwaved to death Been to some places akin to fast food outlet , food out within 10 mins , and taste that matches the quickness / red hot/ bland and dry usually ! I’d rather wait for freshly cooked food 😁

The Black Horse gave us the pub experience we craved. It was quiet in September so we had our choice of table. Nice friendly service.

After a visit to the Corinium Museum and walk around town we stopped here for lunch. There are many places to pick from in Cirencester and we more or less just tossed the proverbial coin - not disappointed. Nice atmosphere, quick service and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. I had the Hunter Chicken and my wife had the Potato and Leek Soup. We were both very satisfied so you can’t ask for more than that after a morning of wandering.

Delicious Steak and Ale 🥧 and Cowboy🍔. Went on Tuesday and there is a promotion for the burger meal, and it came with a free Pedigree 🍺(the burger and beer for less than £13!). Great meal, and one of the better experiences trying pub food across 🇬🇧!👍🏻

Revisited after a disappointing Sunday beef roast last year and glad I did. New chef and a fabulous generous tasty roast beef and lots of veg on the side. Great staff and nice ale. Dessert for me was rhubarb and apple crumble with clotted cream ice-cream. Others with me enjoyed the pork belly and vege Wellington, also great sticky toffee pudding. A great afternoon and will definitely be back.

Lovely pub. Came in for burger Tuesday, accompanied by a pint and a decent-sized portion of cheesy chips. You can enjoy either the beautiful outdoor space or have some with the pool table inside.

We had dinner with our 20 guests there last Thursday and we had a great time. Very good food and quality of meat and the service was very nice too.

The choices on the Sunday lunch menu suited all tastes covering both veggie and meat lovers. Generous portions with lashings of gravy. The whole table (8 people) declared it was the best roast that they had had in a long time. I recommend it to all and sundry.😁😁😄

After visiting this evening for a 77th birthday I was more than disappointed. To be told that there was a cake charge of £3 per person for a small cake we bought in was beyond belief. The service from arrival to ordering to leaving was far from expected. Food was mediocre with one meal arriving with an empty bowl of fries. The roast potatoes were not from today but smothered in garlic and salt to mask the age. There was other issues but lack of care and response from staff didn't warrant saying more. Table of 9 that won't be returning

Fabulous find! Stayed at Stratton House Hotel (next door) but food was pricey and the vegetarian options had run out despite pre-booked dinner. Ventured to The Plough instead and SO glad we did. Unpretentious, good range of excellent quality pub grub. The triple cooked chunky chips are a worth a visit in themselves! Amazing service - friendly, helpful, honest. A huge shout out to Ellie, Tom and Joe! First class service from a first class team 🙌

We sat out in the garden, which was quiet and peaceful. I ordered the Caesar salad which was delicious.

We called in on a Saturday evening for a drink as it appeared to be a proper pub, having looked at there Sunday lunch menu and reading reviews we booked a table for all 4 of us plus our puppy. We were not disappointed 1st class food and good beer. I would highly recommend it.

We popped in for some food for the first time and honestly the best roast dinner I have had in a long time! Staff are so lovely too!

I loved this pub! We had really lovely roast here. There was loads of included vegetables and cauliflower cheese. The staff were very friendly, especially the woman with pink hair. The food was great, there were some really nice touches like sultanas in the red cabbage and the garden was just a wonderful place to sit on a nice day. It was £16 a head including a drink. 👍

What a find! Fantastic little pub tucked away 5 mins walk from the centre of Cirencester. Immaculate inside and out. Lovely range of ales perfectly kept. Lunchtime food was excellent. Doorstep sandwiches lovely. Lovely couple running the pub. They also run a lodge for 2 at the back of the pub which looks excellent. Recommended!

The pub is currently table service only and it took them that about 15 minutes to get to us even though they didn't seem that busy. The beer was nice and cold though 👍

Just popped into this pub with my partner for two drinks; a coke and a local cider which were both great. The guy behind the bar was very friendly and helpful :)! Seating area outside is very nice and quiet.

Positioned off the main drag we came across this pub while wondering around. A nice pub with a pleasant outside seating area. We sat outside with our drinks enjoying the nice weather and recharging our batteries. Well worth looking out for this pub if you like old fashioned, don't bother if you want young and trendy.

I have been here a few times and I'm always welcomed. It's a proper pub and feels homely. The food is good value and they show sport in the evenings. They're also adhering very diligently to the new guidelines for opening

My favourite pub for a Sunday drink after work. Great place to watch the footy as there's lots of memorabilia on the walls. Excellent prices and great range of snacks....not often u find a pepperami behind the bar. Nice to find a pub that has some actual character and is still reasonably priced.

Went as a private party sunday lunch. Good traditional roast well cooked no raw veg like some places. Nice atmosphere, staff polite and helpfull. Interesting looking at all the old sports memorabilia.

Lovely bar showing all the sports. Watched a few games of football in here whilst away for the weekend. Friendly and great atmosphere. The bar is across 3 levels with the top floor being a roof terrace. Middle floor is pool tables and the first is the bar there’s also other games and darts ect Special shout out to Rory behind the bar. He made the place great. Definitely worth a visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

AVOID AVOID AVOID! The food was awful, an oily mess. Bad quality food. Spoke to the owner, we asked for our money back but he only gave us half of the money back. He was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He couldn’t politely handle the situation himself so he asked one of his staff members to take over. He shouldn’t be facing customers. The other staff actually seemed embarrassed by his behaviour. I can’t see this pub lasting long with that attitude.

Lovely hearty pub meal, good service, drinks prices are expensive but it’s a fairly expensive area. They have pool tables upstairs which are always great fun and the staff are very friendly.

Played pool upstairs on small coin operated tables with very small clay balls that did not play well. Would be ok if I got used to them I guess, not this is not my plan. 🫣

Nice pub, just came here for a drink. Service was quick and it was very busy. They have a pool table and darts board in a separate room. Seems like a big local pub with a good atmosphere. They also have live bands. Overall a good experience!

Fantastic roast at The Golden Farm – beef that fell apart, crispy potatoes, and perfect Yorkshires. Friendly staff, family-friendly vibe, and the new management are doing a brilliant job. One of the best pubs around!

This pub has recently been taken over by new owners hoping to move past years of having a bad reputation and they’re doing a great job. A really lovely cosy, friendly pub just outside the centre of Cirencester, it really is worth a visit, especially for the food. The Sunday roast is genuinely exceptional. Reasonably priced large selection of drinks and the staff, led by Josh the landlord, are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Also occasional live music gigs on Saturdays. Highly recommended. Hoping more of the locals will give it another chance and help build up its reputation again.

Such an amazing pub, food is lovely, staff are incredible so friendly. I love the fact that it is dog friendly. There’s karaoke, live band and djs!!! The atmosphere is lovely. Will definitely keep coming back

Recently visited this pub had a nice meal whjch was reasonably priced. Listened to a good singer in the function area ,again very good and could watch sport in the bar if you like. Finding pub was easy and there was plenty of parking . Would definately go again.

Had a fantastic evening on Saturday to see Leo Nathan at The Golden Farm. We ate there before he played and the food was delicious! The pub is huge but still manages to feel cozy, it has an open fire which I love in a pub and there is a large garden so I’m sure that’s great for summer time. The staff were so attentive and made us feel like their friends straight away. I wish I lived nearer so I could visit more often! Leo Nathan was great!! The pub has a really nice intimate area for music and it made an already great gig even better. If you haven’t visited The Golden Farm yet, then definitely do! Especially if they have a music night!

What more can I say than we love the golden farm the people the atmosphere all the locals and it's just a nice place to be. Plus the golden farm sponser the best football team beeches pilgrims.. come the boys ☺️✋🥰

Gorgeous little independent restaurant with lovely friendly staff and amazing food clearly created with passion and care! So good I went two nights consecutively, which I rarely do when I’m on the road! I highly recommend all the dishes especially the flat iron steak!

My all time favourite restaurant, the flavours are out of this world and cocktails are so good! Gluten free & allergen friendly- team are super helpful & knowledgeable! Highly recommend the Mama’s Feast, the beef tacos are to die for!

Always my go to for a guaranteed delicious meal, they have expanded the menu since they first opened and it's all super yum and flavourful! They have a nice outdoor area in the summer too. It has a nice chilled atmosphere and all the staff are friendly. Very good value for money, all portions are big!

Loved my visit to the restaurant. Very nice vibes inside, waitresses were friendly and service was fast. I had the elote corn which was rich and delicious. My ancho chilli mushroom tacos had a nice balance of flavours. I opted for a Virgin Piquante cocktail, which was lovingly made and presented. It tasted wonderful too! I would highly recommend the restaurant and if I’m ever back in the area I will pop in again!

We wanted some good food and a good atmosphere to celebrate our wedding anniversary and goodness did this place deliver. The food was amazing. Good portion sizes, perfectly spiced, full of flavour and reasonably priced which always helps. There was so much choice but the menu was easy to navigate and it didn’t take long for us to narrow down our choices. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff attentive without it being too much! We will definitely be back!

Each portion boasted generous servings, and the meats were expertly prepared to perfection. Accompanying side dishes were clearly thoughtfully selected, enhancing the overall experience. Not only did Bee's Knees impress with its culinary delights, but their customer service was equally outstanding. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly welcomed and attended to with genuine care and attention. Under knew management but still the food is just as delicious, the staff just as friendly and the decour is beautiful. Some extra comfy seating has been added, the skittle alley turned into a sports bar and the beer garden is still a lovely sun trap. I do hope they have much success with this place. I would have added photos of the delicious burgers that we had but we ate them up far too quickly 😋

I had the most fantastic experience at Cheeky Swine Smokehouse and Grill in Cirencester. From the moment I stepped out of my car, the mouthwatering aroma of smoked meat enveloped me. As I entered the pub, the back area greeted me with a delightful outdoor space adorned with tables and a covered area, complete with smokers, perfect for both sunny and rainy days. The BBQMates reverse flow smoker, alongside the ProQ cabinet smokers, showcased the establishment's commitment to high-quality BBQ. The friendly and comfortable bar area, complete with TVs for sports enthusiasts, added to the welcoming atmosphere. Neil, the passionate and friendly landlord, truly stands out. His dedication to authentic BBQ is evident in every bite. The brisket is an absolute standout, perfectly cooked, while the pork is simply incredible. The pub's family-friendly environment and disabled access make it an ideal destination for all. Overall, Cheeky Swine Smokehouse and Grill is a hidden gem that I can't recommend enough. The combination of delectable smoked meats, inviting ambiance, and the genuine passion of the staff, especially Neil, make it a must-visit spot in Cirencester.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly when we arrived. The food is meat based, generous portions and extremely well cooked and flavoured. We really enjoyed our meals. It's a bit out of the way but certainly well worth visiting.

We happened upon the bees knees quite by accident. Got stuck waiting for an auto repair nearby and wandered in. What a find!!! We had the roast beef and roast pork dinners. Amazing! Big fluffy Yorkshire pudding, perfectly roasted veg and meats (the crackling on the roast pork… OMG). Honestly best food I’ve had in a while. The service was super friendly and felt like we were regulars. The atmosphere felt like a neighborhood pub, so you’ll feel right at home, but the food was worthy of white tablecloths. We were both disappointed that we were in a rush and couldn’t stay for longer to enjoy our food a little more.

Popped in here for dinner on our first night of our weekend in Cirencester and loved it. Fantastic service. The ribs were amazing and also lovely half lobster.

This pub had a lovely, friendly feel. There were lots of excellent ales available. I liked the book shelf where you could browse a book for a bit. I went on a Tuesday evening but saw that they had live music on a Saturday and from a local band.

No atmosphere, no music. Fire was on which was nice. The two beers we had one had no flavour.

Best pub pub in the area. The landlord proving that pubs can still be profitable without resorting to overpriced gastronomy with no room to socialise. Fine selection of cider, ale and stouts on regular rotation. The patio garden is good but,such an establishment Needs replicating out of town too. Possibly by woods, fields, some water and a village named after an item of clothing.

Called whilst on a coach trip from South Wales on our way to Stratford, warm welcome and cold wine and beer , would have liked to have stayed longer, but on a tight schedule, will return when back in the area

During a break in Cirencester I sought out the Marlborough Arms due to its reputation for great ales and Belgian beers in particular. I was not disappointed, knowledgeable barman helped me choose a good one... superb.

A really nice micro brewery with a great selection of beers/ales. We had the pilsner and their own version of a Guinness which were both lovely. Ended up staying for the street food, really good tasty burgers from BBQ Street Box. The chef was especially helpful with food intolerances and made sure everything was good for us. Overall, really friendly and helpful staff, great beers and great food. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area. Thanks 😀

Nice comfy , open plan micro / brewery tap room. Always pleasant service and cheerful, reasonable prices considering the town. GF beers are well marked out, vegan ones are not, asked the staff who were helpful and could only find 2 that were isinglass free - sure they have more and would be nice to mark these in the (lovely) UnTapped board -. Street food Mexican on Saturday looked amazing , but again just 1 item marked vegan (side tots) - shame. But aside from that like this place and it's cool friendly vibe.

Nicely decorated bright Micropub. The food smelled good although I didn’t eat here. Team are friendly and present. Good number of cask and keg beers: all self brewed at the Hop Kettle brewery. Love the stem glasses. Spot on.

The best tap room in town. Great vibe, excellent atmosphere, good music and crowd. They have a wide range of tasty beers, lovely Gin made on site and an interesting street food menu that sadly we didn't get to try (kitchen shuts 8pm). There is seating indoors and outside in the courtyard. Brilliant place, highly recommended.

Good atmosphere but a particular Cask Ale was tired and had been on too long. We mentioned this and the bar person said "yes I agree" but still kept it on. Not impressed.

The best streat food around and best food venue in Cirencester. The hop kettle brewery have a great home brew selection and aslo complements the food. Very accommodating personable staff and the venue has a great atmosphere. I would 100% recommend if you are in Cirencester and is definitely worth the travel! Once you've tried this place once you'll be coming back again and again.

Nice food and drinks, good service and the food came quick although we were the only ones bar one other couple in there on a Wednesday evening 7pm. Sausage and mash was a very large portion, gravy was very thick but had good flavour, mash potato seemed to be microwaved and onion rings were very large but nice with a bit of spice in them

A very nice place. They have the best fish and chips and very nice cocktails as well. This is going to be one of my favorite places to go in Cirencester.

I was served by the wonderful Vicky! She had good knowledge of the menu, recommended the ham hawk mushy peas and they were amazing! She was attentive and friendly. Had a few beers to wash down the cod bites and peas, pint where fresh and delicious. Will be back!

Really lovely place great food and atmosphere. Staff are really friendly and happy to have a chat . They even have a cigarette dispenser.

Don’t do the bottomless lunch! Food delicious but the bottomless part is far from bottomless. Waited 25 mins for our first drink of Prosecco then only had two refills in an hour and a half. Waited over 20 mins with empty glasses on the table every time. Huge disappointment. Understaffed and badly run. Don’t waste your money

Delicious sushi, nice presentation and considering the general price of sushi it certainly could be worse in the wallet. Would thoroughly recommend going at least once. Don’t know if they do takeout but I think I overheard they do.

Stopped here for lunch on the way to Gloucester due to the good reviews. We were very happy that we did, the food and the service were brilliant. Good value as well.

There is a very aggressive woman who works here (possibly runs it?). Without her, the place might be alright. But there’s a cliquey atmosphere as though you’re entering their territory, they’re rude most of the time and act like they’re doing you a favour, and the fish is small, usually cold, and a bit chewy. It’s a bit strange really — you’re only going to buy some fish and chips, after all. Check the opening hours — they’re wrong on here. And doublecheck your order when you get it — that will likely also be wrong.

Average fish and chips. Fish was quite chewy/rubbery but batter was good. Service was very good and quick and the place was very busy. I had the medium cod and chips and thought it would be too much but fish wise there wasn’t actually much fish in all the batter but there were plenty of chips. Overall a good experience in the shop but not the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. £8.30 for medium cod and chips.

This is a really nice good old fashion (but updated) fish and chip shop. We were impressed with the batter on the fish and the chunky chips were cooked really nicely too. This chip shop is a bit pricey though, probably the most expensive I've ever been in, but the food was nice.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Great Food, But Packing Mistakes Let It Down We’ve been loyal customers of The Friar Tuck Shop Bar for the past two years, and I have to say, the quality of their fish and chips is absolutely spot on. The chips are always perfectly cooked, and the fish is fresh, crispy, and just right. It’s genuinely one of the best chippies around! However, it’s with a heavy heart that I have to leave a four-star review due to a few recent hiccups with the packing of our Deliveroo orders. About a month ago, we placed an order for the family, but a couple of sausages for my kids were missing. We called up, and one of the staff members—who had just finished her shift—very kindly offered to bring the sausages to us. That gesture was genuinely appreciated. Then, just last week, while I was in the birthing ward with my wife (who was in labour), we ordered one fish and chips and one sausage and chips for the kids. What arrived was two fish and chips. As you can imagine, in the middle of all the chaos, we just told the kids to get on with it, and an hour later, our newborn baby was here. Mistakes happen, and we took it on the chin. But then tonight, we were missing a chicken pie. We called up, and this time, we were asked if we could come and collect it ourselves. Unfortunately, that wasn’t an option for us. They apologised, but it’s now becoming a bit of a pattern, and I have to admit it’s starting to feel a bit unreliable. I understand they may be incredibly busy and rushing to get orders out on time, but it’s starting to show in the packing mistakes. It’s a real shame because the food is genuinely fantastic, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful. I’d still recommend The Friar Tuck Shop Bar, but if you’re ordering for delivery, I’d suggest either going in person or double-checking the order before you leave. The food is worth it, but the packing could definitely use a bit more attention, especially during busy periods. Hopefully, they can iron out these issues because we’ve always loved ordering from here.

We love eating here. The “large” haddock seems to be shrinking though. I wonder how tiny the regular one is.

This is an old style McDonald’s with a very small car park of less than 10 spaces and equally small dining area. The manager was very friendly but couldn’t offer a time by which we would be served and looking at the sheer number people waiting for orders. I think all of Cirencester had ordered a McDonald’s. So we decided not to eat here and drove away.

very tasty food - our favourites are the fries, burgers and mcflurries. the staff are nice & attentive, even asking if everything is ok and cleaning tables. good feel too, this is a great store to chat + catch up with family and friends!

It's a compact place, particularly so with reference to the small car park. That said the staff were friendly, the food prepared speedily and was nice all round. FYI the car-park is monitored and has a one-and-a-half hours limitation.

As far as McDonald’s go, this is by far the worst. Have had several different issues on numerous occasions . Missing items from orders , cold food or incorrect items. In particular when I ordered a happy meal through the drive through, I got home to find that the chicken nuggets were not inside and instead replaced with 2 mozzarella sticks. Recently placed an order for cheeseburgers to drive away and find 1 of 2 missing . Not to mention paying over the app and arriving and being told it hasn’t been processed, and having to pay again by card and 3 days later both charges still showing in my account. I had to return back to the store for a refund . Not acceptable . Won’t be returning again after so many poor experiences

Can this place get any worse. Slow delivery time might not be there fault but the lack of quality 100% is. Disgusting food. Missed instructions. General jobs worth. If you own this franchise, Sell it and shut the doors. MacDonald’s Cirencester you continue to disappoint me.

Passing through on our way home from holiday abd stopped for a late lunch. A small restaurant with a small car park but a big queue of cars waiting to get in - to park or do drive thru. I am assuming it was because it was peak time and school holidays. We were lucky in that a car was trying to get out and we got a space straight away. Inside it was heavingbwith a lot of families and young children as you'd expect but after we ordered a table became free. Food came reasonably quickly - the fries were really good here - light golden crispy hot and fresh with the right amount of salt. I tried one of the new burgers my son the other (Big Arch and the chicken one) - presentation wise they looked a mess and nothing like the promotional pictures! But both tasted good. Overall a good McDs experience here. Just a pity the site is not a bit bigger all round.

Ordered on line for collection which was ready on time and very fresh in fact I arrived slightly early and they were finishing my order of. The chips are very thick cut which I really like and cooked to perfection not greasy at all. Haddock and small cod were cooked perfectly and really tasty as was curry sauce. Highly recommend.

This used to be a great Fish and Chip shop, however after my recent experience I needed to write a poor review in the hope that our local fish and chip shop can improve. When I got the order home I found that one item wasn’t in the bag and I had to return to the shop. There wasn’t an issue with giving this to me. The fish was over cooked and the batter greasy and the pieces of fish were presented in rectangular blocks. It used to be a whole fish! My wife was Ill during the night after eating this. I ordered mushy peas, which tasted very peculiar. ( I have had similar comments from friends since) Overall I rated this meal 2* as I thought it was very poor. This is a shame as it used to be great.

The worst fish & chips I’ve ever had!! Greasy battered completely over cooked fish with anaemic chips full of eyes and the strangest mushy peas. Over £17 for large cod meal (nothing big about it) left me feeling completely ripped off!. In fairness the staff were very polite and the shop was clean. First and last time for this place, what a shame :(

Tried the gluten free Mondays that they do once a month. Can’t fault the batter which was delicious. Sadly the chips weren’t very well done but would definitely recommend the monthly gf Mondays!

I’m new to the area and have just discovered this place, I had the fish and chips and really enjoyed it! The staff are really friendly and helpful too so I’m now looking forward to my next meal here and happy to have found my new local chippy :)

Great chips as always no fish tonight but normally really crispy. However a little disappointed tonight with the curry sauce it was rather runny. Hopefully next time it will be thicker keep up the good work !!

Zero star is not available to give a proper feedback. Portion size upgrade is a big scam, especially fries. I was curious what is the difference for extra money. Not a lot. The drink and the popcorn chicken were slightly bigger. The fries are not impressive. They put the fries in different packing. However the difference was neglectable. Maybe 2pcs more fries in large vs regular. I seriously suggest that just pay for regular because extra money doesn't worth the upgrade.

Clean inside. Great choice of food, not a great selection if you don't eat meat, but it is a chicken restaurant! Having said that, it wouldn't matter to me if they had a huge selection as I would always go for their vegan burger... It's the best I've had, just amazing, my only complaint is there could be more options with it, like make it a tower burger/box meal, add another burger etc. Food arrived piping hot which is just how I like it 😁

I have not been to a KFC for a while, today the KFC at Cirencester reminded me why. They now use a special breed of dwarf chickens here. Plus, the potato famine has affected the size of the chip portions. Lots of money, for small measly portions. Be a while before I go again.

Got almost every part of the food order wrong, asked for a 3-piece, received a 2-piece, the server didn't understand that sides aren't included with an original recipe chicken meal and specially asked for ketchup instead of supercharger sauce on the burger, twice, but got home to find the hot sauce was used. I was asked for an order number although I was never given one. The food was good, shame about the service. Do not rely on them getting it right

Good food, hot and fresh. The tables weren’t the best, left dirty and uncleared. Undesirable people were congregating inside and outside. Order was marked as ready for collection but a further 5 minutes passed regardless.

Ordered through uber eats. Food came after nearly 2 hours and was wrong when it came. Food was awful. Chips soggy, no drinks and luke warm chicken. We are staying on the lower mill estate I would avoid ordering from this location. I appreciate the delivery delay was due to uber eats but It came direct and kfc sent it out in that state. Nevermind forgetting the drinks…

Absolutely disgusting soggy no effort went into making this very much disappointing will not be ordering subway again as this isnt the first time ! It was meant to be tuna with extra cheese jalapenos and salad !!

Ordered the meal deal, enjoyed the food inside the shop drank the drink (coke from the machine) took the top of the drink to put the wrapping found a large number of dead flys stuck to the inside of the cup. apparently dispence by the machine. Manager only offered a replacement drink for the fly contaminated machine

All windows were completely steamed up with condensation, not a good look, first impressions very poor. Staff were friendly but service was slow. The loaded bacon and cheese melt I ate was delicious, the dispensed Fanta drink did not taste like Fanta, it tasted awful, I couldn't drink it.

Great staff and manager. Customised my sub by "hollowing out the bread", toasting peppers/onions. Good franchise.

Worst Subway I've ever had. Toasted sub was in for about 15 seconds and was stone cold. Was suggested what to put in to my sub when I'm quite capable of choosing what I want. Absolutely shocking state of cleanliness during such times too. Embarrassing to be honest!

Popped to the services. Not much choice for food. Boys had a treat and were allowed Burger King. Peter served us, super efficient and great customer service. Excellent work Peter, a smiling face makes a difference.

Food as expected, basic but adequate. Slightly shabby and uncared for location. Food hall uncared for, grubby floor. Toilets functional and small but poor cleanliness. With a small expenditure on TLC for the property and some information boards on local area with constant cleaning this could be a brilliant stop. Here's hoping for the future. Burger tasted great and was what I expected What I didn't expect was the length of time it would take from ordering to food being served to me. About 15 mins which whilst I appreciate meant it was fresh, it was longer than I would expect to wait for a fast food takeaway burger

At first glance, this place looks like the kind of establishment where a chainsaw murder might go unnoticed. The exterior is bleak-grim even - but I won’t blame the staff for the architectural crime scene they’ve been handed. It’s a shared plot, tangled with a Travelodge, Greggs, and whatever else the property developers forgot to finish. But let’s get to the real attraction: the rats. If you’re lucky, you might catch the live-action version of Ratatouille: The Cirencester Cut - featuring real rats in the starring roles. Yes, it’s become a bit of a tradition for us to park up with our food and watch them scrap near the bins. I imagine David Attenborough would narrate it as “a thriving and well-balanced urban ecosystem.” You haven’t lived until you’ve seen two rodents engage in bin-top warfare over a chip. It’s grotesquely fascinating. Just… maybe don’t wear sandals. They’re fast little buggers. Now, on to the food and service: This is - without question - the best Burger King I’ve ever eaten at. I don’t know what they’re putting in it - MSG, love, witchcraft? I don’t care if it’s legal or not. The burgers here are so good, they almost feel like they shouldn’t be. The food is always hot, fresh, and prepared with care. Whoever is on that grill deserves a medal. If I could lift the entire kitchen team and drop them into every other branch across the UK, I would. I’ve been to many Burger Kings. Most of them are disappointing. This one? It slaps, as the youth might say. The toilets (shared building, you’ve been warned) could be used as a set for a dystopian short film. The outside is tired, unloved, possibly cursed. But the Burger King inside is elite. In summary: Looks like a crime scene, tastes like heaven. Come for the burgers. Stay for the rat fight. Avoid the toilets. Wear boots. Would absolutely return

Very poor service from this establishment today, order took over an hour and 10 mins to arrive, I was on the phone to the shop when it arrived although the person on the other end said it had been delivered 10 minutes ago 🤷‍♂️ no bottle of drink that I had paid for in the meal deal which the delivery driver did not seem to have a clue about, and to top it all off the pizzas 🍕 were cold, unhappy kids, did not get what I had paid for and bad service. Could not be bothered to call back and complain again. Everyone has bad days so use at your peril.

I had pizza yesterday. That pizza was really delicious. And good service from staff. Also the owner hosted us very good. Thank you guys I will definitely come again soon :))

We were visiting Cirencester and was looking for a takeout restaurant that was well rated and reasonable priced. The food was very good and freshly made.

Guy calls you after delivery overdue claims he called - he didn’t - food STONE COLD, turned upside down , shockingly bad taste - no even my dog will eat this now - looks revolting , I’ll await my food poisoning !!!

Portion sizes getting smaller. Ordered a pizza box normally would feed 3 of us & still have some left over but box sizes have got smaller.

So was in a bit of a rush to get off the road and come across this kebab shop I've eaten food from places all over Europe in this job and I have to say this was one of the best kebabs I've had in a very long time Thank you to the staff there tonight amazing 👏 really appreciate it

The lady on the phone is amazing very polite I had a problem ordering and she tried to be helpful but the two men were so rude had a massive attitude and didn’t want to help

This is my favourite takeaway, the staff are always friendly. The shop and kitchen are extremely clean and most importantly the food is incredible. I have taken so many family and friends to try it and they’ve all loved it. I’ve been coming here for years and love speaking to all the friendly staff. Would recommend this place to everyone in Cirencester to go to!!

So we absolutely love this kebab shop. And use it as our regular take out but our last few orders have been awful. This isn’t a cheap shop at all. £11 for a large donner. We watched the lady make a medium before ours on a smaller box and she put exactly the same amount of meat in the large container, the food portions have got really small and at that price they should be massive. Shame but we have decided to use the other van in the area just due to not getting your moneys worth.

Had my first visit to Maria’s today… well what can I say? Service was impeccable and delivered with a smile. I ordered a breakfast wrap which is nearly the best thing I’ve tasted in my life….I’m trying to work out when I can return to get another one. Definitely visit! You will not be disappointed

Absolutely banging!! Got a bacon, sausage and egg baguette and it was spot on. All meat and egg cooked to perfection, perfect amount of ketchup and all in a lovely soft tiger baguette. Service was great and fast. Will definitely be returning.

Always enjoy a breakfast bagette or a burger from here, but this morning we thought we would try out the large breakfast, so glad we did . Looked very inviting when you opened it up(wrap up lovely and still warm when got it home ) great portion size and very tasty and no grease in sight . Will definitely be getting one again .
