I had lunch in Le Quai des Mers restaurant while touring the museum La Cité de la Mer. I was seated almost immediately. I chose Salade Ceasar from the menu. It was presented well. I was surprised at a fillet of anchovy being on the salad, as I've never experienced that before. Apart from the anchovy, the salad tasted good.

This was an amazing surprise for our visit to La Cité de la Mer: hyper quality food, wonderful service all within the museum. Don’t hesitate! We will be back to eat here when next in Cherbourg. Merci Le Quai des Mers!

Having spent several hours looking around the various exhibitions at the Cite de la Mer it was great to be able to have a meal on site. The restaurant is lovely and bright and has good choices on the menu - I chose the slow cooked lamb and potatoes which was delicious. The house red went very well with it and the service and speed of the food arriving was very good. Well worth trying as there should be something for everyone.

Been here a few times, usually with small granchildren. I like the fact that it's a very nice restaurant for good food, particularly seafood, but welcomes children and provides their favourite 'fish and chips' drink and ice cream in a meal deal while the adults enjoy Moules Frites, Choucroute de la Mer and very good steaks. Good choice of wine and very nice Cafe Gourmand. The staff are excellent, bringing the kids meals quickly and very friendly. After a pleasant two hours in the adjacent Aquarium it's nice to relax over a good meal, treat for the grandchildren too be be welcomed and indulged by the staff.

Very dissapointed with this place, would give it no stars if i could. My partner ordered a lamb curry, he is allergic to tomatoes. You wouldnt expect tomatoes in a curry. There was no mention lf the ingredients in this.When it arrived full of tomatoes he had to send it back. Not wanting to risk it again he ordered a dessert. When it came to the bill they had the nerve to charge us for the curry. This is disgustin customer service especially when they are at fault in not listing their ingredients like english places do. Very over priced for food that is not good quality. Afterwards we noticed there is a cafe behind it . Wish we had seen it before!!!

Good food and great location with view on Cherbourg's harbour. Very kids friendly, our 3yo was served in 5 minutes. We recommend !

What a brilliant restaurant, the food was near perfection with plenty of choice for everyone, the wine list was great and the team were excellent. Top quality raw ingredients were delicately blended and served in a wonderful environment. Look forward to visiting again soon and would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Our cruise ship stopped at Cherbourg and we walked through the streets and decided to try this restaurant. Prices were reasonable, the food was excellent and our waiter Kelvin, was charming. Definitely recommend! Merci!!

My Girlfriend and I had a meal here, even though we couldn’t Speak any French at all, the waiter was very friendly and patient with us. The restaurant decor is very nice and the food is a good standard. If your looking for a romantic meal I would recommend.

Now some will say that stale bread is right to be used in cheese fondue, but I beg to differ... The taste of the bread (that was good bread) is not the same, which made the email fall short of the expectation. Truly excellent meal that continuously surprised and delighted us over the 2 1/2 hours we were there. With whimsical cheffy names to the various courses like a “l’abrogade” and “duchesse a Paris” you weren’t exactly sure what you were going to wind up with, but it didn’t matter because almost everything was delicious and clearly inspired. Two minor quibbles: the first sushi pieces were just ok — nothing beyond what you’d expect at a good sushi bar — and I shouldn’t have to ask for water repeatedly…it should just be delivered seamlessly.

I thought that I left a review for Le Pily a while back when I took my wife there for our anniversary. It was one of our favorite dinners in France and we highly recommend. Each course was perfectly presented and the textures and combinations was everything you would hope for from a restaurant of this caliber. I don't remember the prices but I do remember think it was extremely high value for what paid. Amazing wine pairing. They easily took into account the few allergies and food preferences we had.

Honestly, that's not a real michelin Star restaurant. The serving of food is like in michelin star restaurant, nice view, luxury interior. But the food wasn't really good, in 6 course menu probably only 2 plates was nice. The wine list is good.

We had a great meal here. They have a short menu that changes quite often, but it seems inspired by the North African kitchen. Flavors are amazing. There weren't any specific dishes suitable for kids, but they're happy to accommodate. Staff was very friendly aan helpful! The only downside was that the kitchen couldn't cope with the high number of customers and thus took a long time before serving.

Total came to €62 for us 3 including drinks and desserts. Very reasonable.

Great little hidden gem. Very much an organic/bio source restaurant. All food sourced locally. Dishes all very different with a twist. Loads of home made bio juices & fresh herbal teas. If your looking for something different please try. All the locals think so !

It's basic but comfortable inside with a youthful buzz. The menu is short but the food tasty. We also had exceptional service from the delightful Chloe.

This place is a well hidden restaurant. They serve a range of items but you have to go here for the burgers. This place accepts card and has plenty of room for large parties or groups. Starting things off I have to say the staff is very friendly. They speak English and their very helpful choosing the right burger for you. I was very hungry and chose one of there special beers the Very Bad Triple. I had there Burger Le Gohel. I do have to say the burger I thought was going to be a bit better. The bun was massive and very airy. I felt as if there wasn't much meat so a poor bun to meat ratio. The sauce was great and it all had a unique taste. I wouldn't try another burger if I were to visit here again. Definitely would go for a steak. As for the review I will have to gove this place a 5.1 on the 🔥 scale. Reason being the burger was mainly bun and the fries were very soft. I was expecting a bit more crunch. I do wish this came with more of a house sauce. If you are in need of a burger this is the place - the meat was absolutely melt in your mouth, la cuisson exactly how I requested, 5/5. The chips were a little on the crispy side but were still good, 3/5. The sauce camembert on the side is not to be missed. The atmosphere is very chill and relaxing for lunch time, the upstairs covered patio is perfect on rainy days. The service was welcoming, non-fussy and very pleasant. Like any usual Burger King this place is always packed on the weekend but strangely you'll always find a place to sit. Their double cheese burger with bacon is a winner plus their black pepper and bacon which is relatively new and as good if not better. Parking can be a bit of a problem on the weekend but otherwise it's a breeze. There is also a drive-in here so if you can't be bothered to wait, drive through and take away instead. It used to be the old Quick so same place. They haven't got rid of the outdoor children's play area here which is great! There's also a McDonald's further up the road towards La Glacerie.
