Mexican restaurant
Breakfast restaurant
El Jaguar is a Mexican restaurant with a large selection of dishes and polite professional staff. It is tourist friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is inviting and the food delicious.
Very good food for a great price. They have some seats in the back with a great ocean view and a cool breeze. Try the Hueves Bañados in Green sauce. 👍
Seth E — Google review
I came to this restaurant a few years ago and became a regular, the food used to be delicious and the pozole was amazing. I stopped by today and was disappointed, the view and atmosphere is still beautiful, the food was tasteless though and the service was okay. The price is fair, all considered. It is a "top rated" restaurant here and is traditional, yet I would not come again
S. F — Google review
About nine years ago, I got my cat here at this restaurant While I was dining there, they had this beautiful little kitten That was wandering around And their amazing staff knowing I was an animal lover offered me to take him home. Not only do they serve amazing authentic Mexican food for everyone but they’re amazing people! I go back every time i go to my hometown Acapulco to this restaurant for the vibes and amazing food! I highly recommend the chorizo con queso con jugo de naranja ! After staring off with their chips and amazing salsas
Olivia H — Google review
A nice restaurant convenient to where we were staying. Recommended by my doctor in Puebla...was not disappointed. The Agua fresca was delicious, and fresh, the chicken in mole sauce was a taste sensation and the salad with Jamaica vinaigrette was very good. Service was prompt and friendly. Plenty of seating for us.
Bernhard W — Google review
Really good local restaurant on the main strip of La Costera. Delicious food and excellent service! Try the Carnitas Guerrerenses.
Tylor S — Google review
Large selection of dishes, polite professional staff, tourist friendly prices ... what else?
Mirosław S — Google review
They didn't have the carnitas we were craving all day, they put stuff in their drinks to 'save' costs. They didn't have mint for the mojitos we wanted, or horchata (a very common drink in any Mexican restaurant) so we just picked up and left. Nice view and ambiance, I would just fire the manager or the chef to truly save costs and have a running restaurant.

Flea & Street Markets
Mercado Central, located in Acapulco, is a vibrant and bustling market that offers a wide variety of goods. From local artists and farmers to food stalls serving traditional dishes and fresh cut flowers, the market has something for everyone. Visitors can sample local favorites like enchiladas, ceviche, and pozole stew while exploring the fruit, vegetable, seafood, and meat areas. The market also features stands offering mole, homemade pork rind, dried chiles, and other products.
I love taking trips to the Mercado. I always find what I need. It's very winding and best to go with someone who had been several times to help you navigate.
Catherine B — Google review
Muy bueno everything and more fruits meat fresh fish great mole different types clothes saddles and places all around sell lots of stuff to really see all of it will take a few times wear walking shoes as it can be slippery in a few spots don't go with a herd of people I would 2 or 3 max I go with one other some times the kids want to go they help carrying the bags ENJOY MEXICO
John H — Google review
Acapulco folks are very nice, and here you will find great prices for food, drinks and clothes.
Marco T — Google review
It’s got pretty much any fruits, vegetables, meats and fish that you could eat. It is kind of smelly and dirty but what the hay, it’s in Acapulco, I will not complain about that!! The prices are reasonable and it’s fun if you’re not too persnickety about hygiene. You’re going to wash your produce anyway right? Right? 😁
Owen G — Google review
Whatever you need to buy can be found here. Literally from soup to nuts. Lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, and clothing for the entire family. Not one of the cleanest places. No English spoken. Bring your translator.
Alanna A — Google review
Anything and everything you can find here in the mercado central. Some areas are dirty and other areas are smelly (fish)! Don't wear any jewelry there and keep track of your wallet at all times ( better safe than sorry). Very colorful and cheap clothes, sandals and fruits and vegetables of the season can be found here. Enjoy 😎
Liza X — Google review
The main market in Acapulco is spectacular. It is a bit labyrinth and hard to see all the huge number of vendors, selling basically everything. Get there bright and early for the best selections...
Privacy J — Google review
Want to know Acapulco in a different way? Try back-bagging and stop at this market to have any meal during the day. Perfect for multiple souvenir shopping, prices are by far lower than on the "costera" and other nicer hotel areas. This zone, yet, is perfect for local travelers and young people searching for fun at the best rates without the flash of the great hotels there.

La Quebrada is a must-visit destination in Acapulco, renowned for its daring cliff divers who plunge into the ocean while skillfully avoiding sharp rocks. This iconic spot not only showcases thrilling performances but also embodies the glitz of Old Hollywood, with nearby attractions like John Wayne's former mansion and tales of past celebrity gatherings.

(Translated by Google) We arrived at approximately 1730, we ordered food and they arrived at around 1915 hrs, we were about to cancel the order and go to a little restaurant on the avenue, I think the food is better and without so much fuss, the flank steak tacos in a Very bad base but cold, dry and no joke, a melted cheese with terrible seafood, a pittance of seafood, I think that on the beach with the local natives they serve you 5 more shrimp, don't really come If you can, go somewhere else and they serve you better. I gave them 5 stars for the atmosphere because a DJ played good songs. If not, I won't even give them a rating 😒 (Original) Llegamos a las 1730 aproximadamente, pedimos alimentos y llegaron como a las 1915 hrs, ya estabamos a punto de cancelar la orden e irnos a una fondita de la avenida, creo que se come más rico y sin tanta faramalla, los tacos de arrachera en una base bien mamona pero fríos secos y sin chiste, un queso fundido con mariscos fatal una miseria de mariscos creo que en la playa con los nativos del lugar te sirven 5 camarones más , no vengan de verdad si pueden vaya a a otro sitio y los atienden mejor, del ambiente puse 5 estrellas por que un DJ tocó buenas rolas si no ni eso les pongo calificación 😒
