French restaurant
Restaurant
La Rapière is a restaurant in Bayeux that offers sophisticated seasonal cuisine in a 1500s dining room with modern furnishings and exposed brick walls. It is known for its haute cuisine and excellent service. The restaurant provides a fine dining experience, while also offering a variety of casual spots nearby such as Reine Mathilde and Au Ptit Bistrot.
The service was exceptional. We enjoyed every course. Nice selection. 15 feet on little side street off of main walking / restaurant street. Highly Recommend - you will be happy you came here.

Excellent service and food. Great atmosphere. Everything on the menus sounded yummy. I had the veal dish, which was outstanding, and a triple chocolate dessert. Reservations required.
Kathy C — Google review
We have spent 3 weeks in France and this was our favorite dinner. You must eat here if you are in Bayeux. The presentation and quality of the dishes was superb. Make a reservation well in advance as this restaurant books up quickly.
Kim H — Google review
A wonderful atmosphere in such an old building. The service was very good and we appreciated the gentleman speaking English. The food was excellent as well as the desserts. We had Kir Royales which is chilled champagne with black currant liqueur or with a raspberry liqueur. Our reservation was made two months in advance for the last two person table. What does that say about a restaurant? The absolute best restaurant in Bayeux.
Rich K — Google review
The best restaurant in Bayeux, and far beyond. Wonderful menu impeccably prepared with an amazing, subtle mix of flavors, textures and colors. Not to be missed.
William ( — Google review
Just spectacular! Service was impeccable. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food was uniformly excellent. There were six in our party and the server treated everyone great. He knew when to approach and when to leave us alone. The wines were also excellent. Nothing but positive thoughts about our experience.
Rich B — Google review
Hands down the best meal in town. The service was attentive and not overbearing and each course was absolutely amazing. A surprise detail of the meal was their attentiveness to my lactose intolerance. I had noted it in our reservation and when we arrived they had already printed a menu with all the items that I could safely order. This is a detail that I didn't expect, but appreciated so much! The meal was one of the best we had during our trip to France. Merci!

Our best dinner the 3 weeks my husband and I were in France! The service was also excellent. Need to make reservations far in advance but totally worth it. Do not miss this place if you are in the area.

Creperie
French restaurant
Le Moulin de la Galette is a charming former oil and flour mill that has been transformed into a refined creperie, emphasizing fresh, local ingredients. It offers a delightful menu featuring delicious galettes, burgers, and fish dishes. Situated between the Bayeux Tapestry and the Cathedral, this restaurant provides an ideal setting for dining alongside the Aure River. The outdoor terrace allows guests to savor their meals while enjoying picturesque views of the river and historic buildings in Old Bayeux.
Very nice and cheerful place (not cheap). We like galette as they are naturally gluten free for my partner. The fillings were interesting, I loved the chorizo. The venue was outside and pleasant, busy but not too loud. There was no vinegar for the chips which surprised me (I know French don’t do it but with so many UK tourists I thought they would have). The normandie pudding I really enjoyed. It’s an informal place a bit different than the typically place.
James N — Google review
This is a very charming spot, especially for lunch. We came here specifically to try their famous galettes, and they did not disappoint! The flavors were rich, and the freshness of the ingredients was truly impressive—you could really taste the quality in every bite. The outdoor terrace is a fantastic place to sit, especially on a sunny day. It’s a great spot to relax, enjoy your meal, and soak in the atmosphere.
Gino H — Google review
Lovely! Most of their seating is outdoors (all shaded), with just a few tables inside. We sat under a tree by the canal and it was a perfect meal. We had a tight schedule and we were in and out (two courses) in about 40 minutes! Amazing. We did not feel rushed at all. I had a glass of Norman Cider, which was super yummy and we took the opportunity to have salads because we had had heavy food recently. The salads were light and healthy and just hit the spot.
Olivia L — Google review
We visited twice. On a Saturday night, we enjoyed both amazing hospitality and off-the-charts amazing food. The oysters, hands down the best we have ever had! My husband had an assiette de mar, house smoke salmon, crevettes, oysters. Then he ordered six more. Despite the usual guidebook nonsense about not sharing or having an entree as a main course, the staff never cared. I ordered the house-smoked salmon as an entree and then the choucroute of the sea, with house smoked haddock, rich, fatter salmon and more crevettes. With a creamy beure blanc. Spectacular! At evening’s end, it was clear this was a true team, un equipe. We made a reservation for two days later, lunch. We arrived 20 minutes late because of a series of mishaps. Staff welcomed us, including helping with wi-fi to help with my major mishap. No reproaches! We ordered more oysters, of course! And I had a galette, finally. Le Portaise, with house-smoked scallops, the WHOLE scallop, not what we are used to in the US, and their salmon. Huge portion. My husband had the amazing house-smoked salmon again.
Christie H — Google review
We were extremely disappointed in this place as it was recommended in our guide book. We made a reservation ahead of time and asked for a nice table because it was our anniversary. Our table was okay, but not right next to the water like we asked. We got the onion soup but it had a lot of oil in it. I got the fish and chips which normally has the bones removed, but in the first bite there were multiple bones. I spent the entire meal carefully chewing the fish to get out the bones. My husband got the "British Burger" which we weren't sure what it was going to be because their was no description, but you assume it would be a normal burger. The beef "patty" itself was like pulled beef and the "buns" were crepe and not good :( We both got soggy, cold fries. The atmosphere and service were fine, but we did hear a lot of languages other than French, so it seems to be a tourist trap. There were two cats running around inside and out. They were cute to look at, but were inside and hoping on chairs and empty tables, not very sanitary.
Madeline B — Google review
We ate here twice during our stay in Bayeux and we loved it! The food was exceptional and the service was phenomenonal. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Sending love to the cat! 🐈😆

Really enjoyed this typical crêperie restaurant in Bayeux, France during my Normandy Tour this July. Typical and deliciously made savory and sweet crêpes. The photo is my dessert, choice, crêpe, with chocolate and strawberries.

French restaurant
Le Garde Manger is a French restaurant in Bayeux with simple and casual fare like burgers as well as some traditional dishes from Normandy. The food is good and the prices are fair. The service is friendly and efficient, and the surroundings are pleasant.
My party of four had a really lovely lunch here. We chose the Normandy oysters as these had been recommended to us. They were delicious and very large. We shared a bottle of Chardonnay which paired well. The staff were helpful. I would not recommend the charcuterie board, but that is because it was smaller than we expected.
Róisín S — Google review
We arrived in Bayeux around dinner time and did not have reservations. This was one of the places recommended by our hotel and it didn’t disappoint. It has continued service and there was plenty of tables available even though it was fairly busy. We had the best Tiramsu here. Probably the best we have ever had. We shared a pre fix menu with onion soup, steak and frites and the tiramisu. We also got a hot chocolate. Everything was very good but I was underwhelmed by the hot chocolate. It was recommended to try but it seems like instant hot cocoa to me.
Jason M — Google review
We had just arrived in Bayeux and needed a quick lunch near the hotel before heading out to explore. Our goal was quick, good and easy. Well, we were in France, so the requirement turned into good and easy because there is no quick. We were seated on the patio (most of the restaurant is patio) in the midst of a lively lunch crowd. Our service was good and everything we ordere fit the need and the expectation perfectly. We split some salad, some fries, some cheese and some sausages. All very good. Then for dessert a crepe. This was not a great meal and the patio is a bit hot, but it was still a perfect launch into the French atmosphere. It totally fit the need.
Ralph B — Google review
The presentation of the food was great, it looked good, but it just wasn’t. It was a small portion and bland , none of it had any real flavor. We ended up needing to get more food elsewhere. The service was also odd, we were seated quickly, then saw nobody for 20 mins, had to go find someone. I can’t recommend going here.
Ryan W — Google review
Food is generally very good. Especially the cod is great. The salad is very basic. Seating both outside and inside. Very central.

Hreat place. Under staffed when we arrived so they were really busy with 1 wait staff and 1 bartender. So considering, it was great service.

Lovely spot.. We stooped because it looked busy and we were not disappointed.. Friendly staff.. Good food & lovely view of the Cathedral with the Bells Ringing
Velma F — Google review
We were accommodated without a reservation but were seated at the far end and very windy part of the area. We ordered mussels and duck breast with noodles. The mussels were quite acceptable granted that it was not in season. The duck was quite dry and not juicy. The noodles were not sauted but were bland and tasteless. Lesson for the day: never order an asian cuisine in a french restaurant!

French restaurant
Le Volet Qui Penche is a cozy wine cellar and bar located in the old town of Bayeux, just a short walk from the cathedral and tapestry. The owner, Pierre-Henri Lemessier, has created a warm and inviting space where guests can enjoy a wide selection of wines and local alcoholic drinks such as cider, Pommeau, perry, and Calvados. The venue hosts wine tasting nights and live music gigs during the spring and summer seasons.
We have waited a while to get into Le Volet Qui Penche and now I know why… the service is wonderful. We visited between Christmas and New Year’s, which is a reduced time of service because of the time of year, but we still enjoyed a wonderful meal. In most of the touristy restaurants, you will always receive fries with your meal. Not here! Thankfully 🤩🙏 The sides were fresh seasonal vegetables, and the same with the dishes. Everything is relaxed and comfortable and you can enjoy with your friends and family. Make sure to reserve before going to make sure you have a table for the evening! You will not be disappointed…

We had a truly wonderful experience while visiting Bayeux for the first time! Everything we ordered tasted excellent. The desserts were amazing, especially the chocolate cake and the crème brûlée. Our waiter was great, and when the food was taking a while to come out, he gave us a complimentary snack, which was very appreciated! We sat on the terrace which had beautiful views of the city and the canal. I highly recommend this to anyone stopping in Bayeux.
Braeden B — Google review
Absolutely loved this place. The food has a definite twist that you don't find anywhere else in Bayeux. Quality, tasteful and the knowledge of the waiter make a wonderful culinary experience. Highly recommended
O G — Google review
We've been to Bayeux for a two week holiday and tried some restaurants in town - "Le Volet Qui Penche" was our favourite by far. The food was excellent, and, please: I know you all love steaks (and they do them very well), but give the other, more local, dishes a chance - they more than deserve it! The service was extraordinary kind and helpful, we felt more than welcome (and we came there several times...) and always left with a smile. As to the wine: The combination of the offered wines and the knowledge (and patience) of the service was outstanding, even if you don't want to pay 80€ a bottle (try the "Hommage à Fernand"). These guys love wine, these guys love food and these guys love you - and we love them!
Michael Z — Google review
The pork with mushrooms was delicious, enjoyed the mushrooms more than the pork though. The crème brûlée was great too.
Emma L — Google review
Wow! Probably one of the best meals while in France. Certainly while we were in Normandy. The beat goat cheese appetizers was not only delicious but artistic in its presentation. The parsnip soup is probably one of the best soups I have ever tried. Simple incredible. We also enjoyed the scallops and fish dishes as well as an incredible Coffee Gourmand !! If you are staying in Bayeux or the surrounding area, absolutely make a reservation. The book out every night and there is a good reason!
John B — Google review
This was our second visit to le volet qui penche - we ate here last year too and loved it. The service is excellent and the food even better. We got a complimentary delicious small snack and had the melon salad which was amazing and then steaks and creme brûlée - can’t fault any of it - everything tasted incredible. We sat on the terrace overlooking canal and was our best night out in Bayeux so thank you! This place is a hidden gem
Christina K — Google review
This is a very good restaurant with professional and welcoming staff. The pork, steak and dessert were all excellent, and the suggested wines all hit the mark. I found the lighting a bit bright/harsh, but otherwise this is a good choice. I would definitely return.

Modern French restaurant
L'Alcôve, formerly known as Le Ptit Bistro, is a popular restaurant located just behind the cathedral. The dining room is modern and filled with plants, providing a contemporary atmosphere for guests. The restaurant is renowned for its weekly changing set menus that feature expertly crafted, market-fresh recipes bursting with flavor. Dishes like spider crab with a frothy fromage blanc dressing and roasted saddle of rabbit with grilled aubergine cannelloni are among the favorites.
We absolutely loved our dinner at L'Alcove - it was one of our favorite meals during our 2-week vacation in France. Creative dishes, beautiful presentation, and wonderful service made this a dinner to remember! Loved the vegetarian options and wine selection! Would highly recommend to anyone who is visiting Bayeux.

Our lunch at this quaint Bayeux restaurant was simply delightful. The service and food were both impeccable, you could truly feel the owners' commitment to quality in every detail, right down to the fantastic bread sourced from a local boulangerie. It's no surprise they're a Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient; truly deserved! We were definitely happy we'd made our reservation in advance.
Vivien S — Google review
The food was as beautiful as it was delicious. Truly a very special experience that my husband and I are so glad we could enjoy. Highly recommend!
Vicki S — Google review
Four of us ate here in June at lunch time after a visit to the Tapestry. It is a very high quality but reasonably priced restaurant. we had the set lunch menu which did not disappoint. Portions are a little small but for me that's ok for lunch especially when there are 3 courses. The wine selection was also very good. We sat upstairs which was nicely quiet and were very well looked after. Highly recommend.

Charming staff. Delicious food. The Rilletttes de lapin aux olives et citron confit...One of my favorite dishes of the trip. Inventive wine list.

Located in Bayeux, La Table Du Terroir is a great French restaurant that offers delicious food at reasonable prices. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. Menu A is especially good value for money, and would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a lovely evening out.
Excellent food, great presentation, great service and staff. We were starving and walking around town with just a few restaurants open. We arrived here by luck and what a pleasant surprise. My wife fell in love with the sea bass. The onion soup was fairly good And the rib eye was delicious. Also, I got to know my favourite desert from now on; the Normandy Crepe.

Escargots were nice. Green salad with nuts was nice. Our main entree, duck and veal kidneys were good but the temperature was not warm enough, the side carrots were almost cold. Crème brûlée was good. Service was friendly and good.
Sabine M — Google review
Disappointing experience despite central location in Bayeux. Although summer is a busy time, you’d expect a restaurant in the heart of Bayeux to be properly staffed. We were quickly shown to our table but waited far too long for menus. We should have taken that as a sign. Some apéritifs arrived after 30 minutes, the rest 10 minutes later — at the same time as our main courses. The burgers were fine, but the Saint Jacques with pasta arrived cold. Our rosé wine took repeated requests to appear, and the water and bread NEVER came at all. We skipped dessert to avoid another long wait, but even asking for the bill was a mistake — after 20 minutes we gave up and paid at the bar. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, with both waiters and bar staff struggling, and several nearby tables were equally unhappy. The menu choice is good and the food passable, but until staffing improves, I’d suggest trying one of the many other great places to eat in Bayeux.

"All fur coat and no knickers" is an english expression which sums up the establishment, which for those that are not aware, means Looks good on the outside, cheap and tacky on the inside. Myself and the wife spent the previous evening looking for tonights meal. this establishment ticked all thr boxes, it looked, and appealing menu, and an affordable (not cheap) price, so we made our decision to visit. We ordered the set menu, and whilst the starters were ok, I do not believe I got what I ordered (I do not think the image shows a Cassoulet des escargots) the main Dissapoibtnent was the main course, my wife's steak was dry and tough, and the shallot sauce was a gelatinous sludge, where it had not be microwaved properly. In All fairness my main course looked very appetising, and had some nice flavours, but it was stone cold. when I pointed it out, they took the plate away and returned 90 seconds later, with a hot plate, and like warm food, but the fish itself was still cold. The Desserts were average, and nothing to write hone about. Unfortunately, the staff were dismissive, even sarcastic about my concerns. A very disappointing evening, which could have delivered so much. I conclude my review as I started. All fur coat, and no knickers.

Our family happened upon La Table du Terroir and were absolutely delighted with the food and service. We enjoyed tuna and seabass. Very fresh and wonderful. Unbeknownst to us, this meal was one of our first during our 16 day European tour and was one of our top favorites. The dessert with the brioche and ice cream was incredible!!! Highly recommend.
Dawn L — Google review
Visited with friends, making us a larger party of 4 adults and 3 children. The first few members of staff were so friendly and welcoming. However, our assigned waiter was not. He was firstly outwardly agitated because his colleague did not convey the size of our party correctly- and somehow we were to blame... service was slow. When taking our order he would flit between french and English, seemingly so that some of the party would not understand... when I answered for them in French, he refused to acknowledge my answer and would then only speak in English, and he appeared annoyed by this too. He then was upset because some of the party wanted starters and others did not. He told a member of the party that he couldn't order steak a certain way, he also told us that dessert wasn't part of the kids menu though it was... it was just poor poor customer service on his part. The food, however, was delicious and reasonably priced. It would have been a lovely meal, if not for the waiter.

Fish and chips was like frozen fish., tasteless The food was lukewarm, at best. The waiter was rude when we had questions. I never write a bad review so you know it must’ve been bad if I’m taking the time to do this. We sent out referred to this restaurant as the “table of terror”. Don’t go there.

Nestled at the intersection of Rue St Laurent and Rue des Bouchers, L'Angle Saint Laurent is a culinary gem that beautifully marries contemporary cuisine with local charm. This stylish eatery showcases seasonal ingredients sourced from nearby markets, featuring regional delights like Bayeux pork and Normandy oysters. The ambiance is inviting, adorned with exposed stone walls and soft lighting that create a cozy yet elegant atmosphere.
This was by far our best meal in Bayeux. The set gastronomy menu was extremely good value for money & very generous portions. The restaurant was a little loud initially but I put that down to a number of large bookings but they had all finished and left prior to our mains & it felt a lot more intimate and relaxed after they had departed.

We had a fantastic dinner here but felt a little let down in terms of service. We arrived slightly early and were asked to come back at the time of the reservation, which is perfectly acceptable. However, when we returned it took at least 10 minutes for anyone to ask us if we wanted to have a drink... Food was beautiful, very tasty and well presented but towards the end again the staff spent most time speaking to other customers (French probably) and we felt a bit ignored in our corner. Finally, for a place with a mentioning in the Michelin guide the toilets need some attention...
Arnout M — Google review
The staff was wonderful at helping us pick wine with food. Oysters were delicious starters. The chefs special was the best risotto I’ve ever eaten. It’s a leisurely French dinner curated to please your palate. Wonderful!
Donetta H — Google review
You must have a reservation for dinner in Bayeux. Restaurants either open at 6:30 or 7pm and the majority of seatings seem to occur at 7 or 7:30. We were able to get a reservation for 8:30. On arrival, the restaurant was mostly empty. I thought perhaps there would be a second seating, but no. Guests just continued to leave until there were just a couple of tables left. My wife selected the set menu with fois gras, white fish, cheese, and dessert. I chose the smoked herring appetizer and the daily special of risotto. The food was tasty. With only a couple of tables left, service was very slow. Also, it was very awkward with staff clearing up, closing down for the night, and getting ready for the next day. Additionally, our bill was wrong. Not a big deal, 5 euros, but still it was wrong. I was charged for the fois gras instead of the herring, instead of the fois gras being included with the set menu.

Coming back to say that this restaurant is definitely the best in Bayeux!!! Excellent. Service was on point. Gorgeous food presentation and excellent flavors. We loved our salad, foie gras, l’incontournable (smoked pork), and the duckling/cannettes. The apple desert was sublime. Best place in Bayeux. Highly recommend it and get a reservation!!

La Maison Blanche is a french restaurant in Bayeux that is decorated all in red, with red banquettes, chairs, walls and carpets. The cuisine here is of high quality and uses local products from Normandy, including seafood and land-based dishes. There is also music playing in the restaurant which welcomes musicians or allows them to improvise.
The staff was wonderful and welcoming. They did speak Anglais, but appreciate you trying to speak a little French. Merci beaucoup! The food was delicious. We JUST arrived into town after a failed trip to Brugge, Belgium due to being squeezed out into the cold for not making proper eating reservations. We ate the cost of the 2nd night of the hotel, and continued on our journey because I refused to let my family suffer trying to find a warm restaurant for 2 days in Brugge. So, on a whim we headed down the coast to Normandy. We were turned away from La Marina at 2100 because they were closed, which is understandable however Maps said they were open until 2200, so my 5 year old and 2 year old and pregnant wife were once again let down. I'm failing as a leader and father at this point, so we jumped in the can and headed toward Bayeux on hopes and a prayer. I called one place, La Chateau and was hung up on. Then I called this place and the gentleman spoke English to me and told me to come through. We arrived and he (Jean) welcomed us in with open arms and played music for us on his piano! He cooked me a rare ribeye and a filet for my wife and gave my children hot potatoes and cheese! He was so friendly we were just blown away with this blessing. I highly recommend coming through here to be treated with such respect in a far away land from wherever you've come from. Jean saved our trip! If you can imagine the feelings associated with what we went through in Brugge, then the 8 hours it took to drive with the family and be turned away and hung up on, to land in this man's open arms. I will come through here every time I visit to pay homage to a man that owed us nothing and gave us so much. I should have taken a picture of the steak before I ate it, lol. Here's my empty plate after the ice cream and macaroons! Thank you Jean!!!! Will will have you over when you come to Arizona!

Food is delicious. Host is very personable. There are musical instruments he urges the guests to play. It was like a party! Very reasonable prices. Of course this was in May so not at the peak of the summer season so we didn’t need a reservation but not a bad idea.

We recently went to the restaurant on a Sunday evening during our visit in Bayeux. It was quiet at first, but soon filled with hungry customers. One of the staff (the gentleman who is slim, tall and can speak English) made us feel like at home, especially when he learned that it was the Mother’s Day in England - he entertained us with great professionalism and enthusiasm. We laughed a lot. In addition, the food was beautifully presented, tasty, big portion, and service was fast too. In deed a very pleasant dining experience, great Mothering Sunday. Definitely recommend it.

Terrific place! We were in Bayeux celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, and this was our first meal upon arrival. The food was wonderful. Everything was fresh and delicious. The owner was very welcoming and warm - made us feel right at home. We shared stories and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. I highly recommend this place for a relaxed atmosphere, a good meal and great music too.

The owner's engagement with the customers is unique in my experience. Friendly, eccentric, and talented are all applicable adjectives. And the food is fresh and absolutely delicious. Don't rush and be ready to embrace an eccentric experience. 6 stars out of 5
Christopher M — Google review
A unique experience, not for everyone. One of the few places open on Sunday. Owner is friendly, although sometimes engaging in a very sarcastic way. Our food was OK, filet was not a filet, but other cut of meat. Lamb was good, and seafood bisque had split and was only mussels (although still tasty). You have to be prepared for the owner to engage you, it is not a place to go for a quiet meal.
Laura B — Google review
Our waiter/host was VERY creepy and made me feel very uncomfortable. He kept making weird jokes and touching me. Smelled strongly of alcohol and seemed drunk while serving us. He wouldn't serve us water and laughed at me when I didn't eat my not-so-good fish. Plate and glasses were dirty when we were seated. Food was very bland. The entire experience ruined the night for our vacation.

Came here based on the other reviews and was very disappointed. Ordered the fried fish. It came out quickly, TOO quickly. Clearly reheated in microwave, batter soggy not crisp as it should be if fresh from fryer. Potatoes were inedible, greasy and barely warm, also reheated. Friendly server but not enough to make up for the very bad food. And if I had read a few of the reviews instead of just looking at overall rating, I would have seen the owner insult people who gave her lower reviews, instead of responding to the specifics. Not a great idea for a business owner.

We were looking for someplace in Bayeux where we could get a salad so I searched on Google for “salad” and found nice photos and ratings for this place. That said, I would give the moyenne salad with jambon or saumon 3 stars. The quiche and salad combo was better at 4 stars. It was raining when we arrived into Bayeux mid-week and many visitors were running about looking for tables at restaurants. We were lucky to score seating for 3. The service is delightful and the team of 2 greeted, took orders, served, cleaned, made drinks, etc for the whole restaurant. So impressive. And the environment is so playful and fun.

A quite small, but nevertheless very charming bistro. Food quality was first class, all ingredients were fresh and tasty. The owner is very nice and warm-hearted, prices are also okay in relation to quantity and quality. Location is in the immediate vicinity of the Bayeux cathedral which also offers a nice outlook. Full recommendation!

Chez Paulette is absolutely delightful! Such a cozy and charming space, with a fabulous selection of teas and other beverages. My English Breakfast was served in the cutest elephant teapot - day made. And the service is great, too :)

This a very cute place, the food is very good, and the service very nice. It seemed only women were working in the restaurant, and it had a very queer-friendly vibe in my experience.

Quirky, in a good way, little place in the heart of Bayeaux. Good food, good service.

Most lovely vintage place to be. We were pleasantly surprised that our dog was allowed inside. On a leash, obviously.

Les Volets Roses is a charming tea house with a unique and quirky atmosphere. The service is friendly and welcoming, and the selection of hot drinks and cakes is excellent.
Beautiful tea room to relax and enjoy the views of the Cathedral right next door. Great service, very friendly and polite. The food is delicious and the decorations inside are adorable. Thank you from an Australian tourist ❤️

This restaurant, on the face of it, was accomodating and the food was nice. However, the young staff were unsettling. One was pushy, another quite vacant. It took a while for them to come and take my order, nd so I was actuallly feeling like walking out. But in the end, food was good and the atmosphere good.
Andrew H — Google review
Quirky tea room, very pink and floral. Great selection of proper teas in proper pots and in the afternoon a selection of home made cakes. Personal service rather than fast food. Not the cheapest but value for money.

Wonderful tea shop with a lovely large selection of teas. My teapot even came with a sand timer to make the perfect brew 👌

Delicious homemade cakes in a most quaint setting. Very friendly and accommodating owners. Definitely stop by. We should have ordered tea. The coffee was not great. Would go back in a heartbeat. Kid and baby friendly too.

The french restaurant Acte 2 is a romantic place with delicious food and great service. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They have a wide range of wines to choose from, so there's something for everyone.
Wonderful early evening visit with our two children. The staff were great, food was delicious!

Biggest soupe à l’oignon I’ve ever had ! Piping hot so had to wait a few minutes before tucking in. It had huge chunks of grilled bread and cheese. Very tasty. Unfortunately the fish and chips were a disappointing because the fries were extremely oily. My friend ordered the fish of the day however the waiter mucked up the order and served the fish off the à la carte menu. Overall, portions were generous and the meal ok.
James — Google review
We were seated quickly, and I have no complaints about our servers, they were extremely nice. But unfortunately the food presentation was good but it didn't taste good at all, my own homemade onion soup is much reacher, sea bass wasn't tasty at all.
Lyudmila E — Google review
Made a reservation for 2 and were seated at 2nd floor. Unfortunately, adjacent to the toilet where other patrons do not close the door after use and the service staff just didn't bother. Would have been great for the staff to explain the dish and let the patrons understand what they are into, especially for non-french speaking. I liked my beef steak but we don't have the acquired taste for salad with marinated mackerel (we thought it was grilled or fried). Not worth the cost.
Rem J — Google review
The desserts were better than the chicken and steak dinners ordered. Fisherman’s Stew and Fish and Fries were both liked by those who ordered.
Criss L — Google review
We were a party of six and we enjoyed our meal at Acte 2. The food was good and the atmosphere was a little more relaxed than the other restaurant we went to in Bayeux. We sat outside and the servers were attentive to us, however, we think they might have failed to put in one of the orders. It was OK because we were having a good time. We appreciated that the servers spoke English with us and were patient.

The food was nice, especially the desserts were delicious.

We enjoyed our €29 menus with a very nice bottle of Pinot Gris. We opted to eat inside and found the atmosphere very relaxed. The staff were pleasant and luckily for some of the diners spoke very good English. We would certainly recommend dining here & look forward to eating here again on our next visit.
