So much hype about this place being one of the best pizza places IN THE WORLD. So the question is . . . Is it worth the hype? The answer is, unequivocally YES!! I lived in Napoli many years ago and this pizza is reminiscent of authentic Napoli pizza. I was thrilled to get a vegan cheese option. The fresh basil really seals the deal. If you are anywhere within a 200 km radius, you MUST get this pizza. Service was slow though, so give yourself plenty of time. It’s worth the wait!

Easy in top 3 pizza places of Zagreb. The place is very fancy and the service is quite swift. Pizza is very good, contemporary Neapolitan style, but in my opinion a little bit undercooked. Plenty of choice in the menu with interesting combinations of gourmet ingredients and also classic pizzas. To be honest a bit pricy for a pizza but the ingredients are really goods so it’s acceptable. Reservation is warmly suggested.

We ended up here only because of my son’s persistence. Initially, I was craving McDonald’s, but he managed to persuade me to come here instead—and luckily so! The place turned out to be amazing. Their pizza was the most delicious I’ve ever had; baked in a wood-fired oven, it simply melted in our mouths. The staff were friendly and attentive. We truly appreciate the excellent service and will definitely come back next time we’re in Zagreb.

I went in on a Sunday evening around 8pm it was busy but they still had some tables free. The waiter was friendly and helpful. The pizza was hot and fresh, I’d chosen a special which was very tasty. It was tastefully decorated with a nice ambience and modern decor.

Our first night in Zagreb, we ate here. Lovely atmosphere and super delicious pizzas! The wait staff was attentive and we got our food fast.

We visited here thinking we could get good Neapolitan pizza but we were sadly mistaken. The pizza dough was flat & burnt, the tomato sauce sour and watery, the cheese cheap. The prawn pizza didn’t make sense to me, I didn’t realize it would be half & half, the pesto on the pizza was awfully sour. The shrimp were unseasoned. There wasn’t a single redeeming ingredient on any of the pizzas. This left us feel extremely unsatisfied and disappointed. Service was disinterested. The atmosphere is grungy & everything feels grimy. Probably the worst pizza I have had in Croatia. I don’t recommend and don’t understand the high rating.

We tried pizza at this restaurant, and the pizzas were truly outstanding. The flavors were very similar to the ones we had in Italy, which was impressive. The chefs are definitely very skilled. As for the highlights, one of the most positive aspects was the real wood-fired oven inside – absolutely amazing. Beautiful spot for amazing Neapolitan pizza Basta is a great place if you’re in the mood for pizza — they offer such a wide range of options that it’s actually hard to decide! We had dinner on the terrace, which is absolutely beautiful and made the experience even better. The waiter was super nice and helpful, which we really appreciated. I tried the pizza with lavender cheese (lavandina) — and it was amazing! Super flavorful, with incredible Neapolitan-style dough and top-quality ingredients. Highly recommend if you love Neapolitan pizza. A must-visit spot in Zagreb!

We got pizza menu, but no drink menu. Partner ordered glass of malvasia vine, I ordered craft beer, waiter said the he will take a look if they got any. Came back with a open bottle of Lagunitas, cheapest and horrible to drink. I took it anyway, tried to be polite, but upon payment we got a nice suprise - shitty small beer was 6,5 and vine 7 EUR. This is robbery and would never order this if we would have seen the prices before. Pizzas - most mediocre napoli pizza in ever, at least 5 places with way better pizzas this style. Tourist trap, avoid if possible!

Great pizza in ZG next to the beautiful city park Maksimir although bit further from the center but definitely worth a trip. Our go to place every time we are in Zagreb.

This is the perfect place to have a meal before or after going for a walk around the beautiful Bundek park. The staff kindly welcomes you into the restaurant which guaranteed a fantastic service throughout our meal. The food is nothing short of delicious, and having "Volim Ljuto" spicy sauces lined up on our table was a fantastic addition. On top of that, they have a great taste in music — 80's and 90's top hits made sure the atmosphere in the restaurant was more than just enjoyable.

Tasty pizza called by funny names with fresh ingredients in super cool interior. Definitely go and see place near maksimir park. It has it own history written on the plate mat.

We had a nice pizza in this place but didn't really enjoy the experience. Place is dark and dull with zero music or atmosphere. Staff seemed to tolerate you without caring if you visited or not. Nobody welcomed us, nobody asked how was the food, nobody even thanked us for visiting Food was served quickly and was tasty but with the lack of atmosphere it wasn't that nice a meal. I wouldn't go back, wouldn't recommend The pizzas are more like flat breads, few mm thick so not your typical pizza.

The pizza was really tasty, all the ingredients were fresh and the dough was lovely! Especially if you love thin dough! The service is friendly and helpful but maybe a bit confused at times (drinks were added to our bill that weren't ours) but are quick to resolve anything so that is a plus. The terrace seating (and even the inside seating) is lovely and very cozy. All in all, it's a really good place to visit and well worth returning to!

The base and crust of the pizza was raw/pale and the dough used was a weird texture and tasted more like a flat pitta bread. I guess it’s not a traditional pizza. Also massive bits of garlic on pizza The toppings had too much stuff on it, I had to scrap some off. I’ve tried quite a few pizzas. Overall for me 3/10 - not good. The best thing was the juice.

One of the best pizza places in Zagreb. Their dough is without yeast, very thin and crunchy. The pizzas are done very quickly in a really hot oven. The toppings are of excellent quality and they don't skip on the quantity. The setting here is very relaxed and cozy. You can also enjoy your pizza on the terrace overlooking Kranjčevićeva street.

Great pizza place with rustically designed interior. Their pizzas are simple, with thin no-yeast dough and simple high quality ingredients. There are not many beers or wines to choose from, so all focus is on their food. It's a great place to take your business partners to as well as your wife on your wedding anniversary. But if you're a student looking to impress your newly found girlfriend you better have rich parents or move along since pizzas (because they are expertly made with excellent ingredients) typically go around 10€. When you order drinks your bill won't be under 30€. The staff is friendly and helpful so no complaints there.

Place is cozy and has a nice vibe. Restroom is clean. Waiters are very helpful, polite and friendly. Food is delicious. Dough is very thin so only taste is basically the one of the filling. Crust just melts in your mouth. Spicy olive oil is excellent addon to your pizza. They had some issues with hot water so they didn't had regular coffee at the time. They are pet friendly and if you wish to spend some time on fresh air, they have a nice raised terrace.

The only negative side is the price. 13 euros for a pizza isn't really something an average person is ready to give up on a weekly or a bi-weekly basis for a pizza. Years ago, this was the best pizzeria in Zagreb (in my personal opinion). It's still is very good - the ingredients are all tasty and strictly Italian. No low quality products from Croatian stores. The pizza we got was a little soggy in the middle, but otherwise very good. And unfortunately they don't offer pasta and lasagna anymore. The service is friendly and quick. Terrace is quite large and enjoyable.

I was craving pizza and decided on Zero Zero because you know if the restaurant only serves pizza it’s gotta be good! And this place was amazing! The pizza and pasta were quite appetizing and so was the dessert. It was our first night in Croatia and boy we were not disappointed! The only thing that threw us away was the attitude of the waiter. Behaved like he was owner. Anyways, its an upscale dining restaurant and the quality is pretty awesome!

We both had truffel pasta. The taste was very good but the pasta was a bit hard and it was waaay to less food. I could easily eat three more dinners... Thats why i got a wrap and sundea at the mcdonalds directly after. Also a small portion of pasta for 25 euro is expensive. Just like soft drinks for 5 euro (🙄?) Also 3 euro per person service fee is weird. The walk paths behind the seats are very narrow so my girl got an elbow bump from the waiter... Our waitress was friendly tho, but i would not recommend this. Music also too loud. We paid 60 euros for this🥲

The place is near our apartment, so we went there for dinner with the kids. The outdoor seating is cosy, they have high chairs for kids and the staff were friendly. We tried 3 kinds of pizzas. Six cheese mix, bresaola and Mortadella. All pizzas taste great and the difference in taste is remarkable. Ingredients seem fresh. A good overall experience. The dough is good thin yet was not as "hollow" on the edges as to my taste . Also it was a little difficult to cut( gluten stressed). Portions are decent. I think the place is also known for its pasta. I would recommend this place.

Great location, kind staff, excellent pizza, very tasteful caprese. Pasta carbonara was very bad, do not recommend it. But the staff took criticism very positively and offered us a new dish in exchange. The kids chose dessert - cheesecake and tiramisu, which were delicious!

The burrata appetizers is very good. The burrata is creamy and little bit sweet. The peach wasn’t rip enough but that’s ok ! The frozen tomato on top of it with the mint added a nice fresh touch. The bread, which is pizza dough, is amazing. The fig pizza is a must try. The sweetness from the fig mixed with the saltiness of the prosciutto is an excellent mix. But we were disappointed with the carbonara which was way too salty and something was a bit off with the taste. The service was good and friendly. Overall a beet good restaurant.

Oh let me tell you about this one. Best pizza dough I tasted ever, and talking to the manager they recently upgraded the recipe. A very spacious modern-day pizzeria located in one of the new neighbourhoods in New Zagreb, with very good pizzas. They also have some salads, lasagnas and similar Italian stuff, plus a great variety of cocktails. Service is very professional, the interior a bit dark, but the terrace is rather nice. Big parking nearby, dogs allowed onto terrace.

Found this place after a recommendation from Tolkiens House. Service is a bit slow but good value and tasty food. It was lunch so we shared an Al Tonno pizza which was very good. Nice pint of IPA too.

Never been disappointed by this place and ive gone multiple times. Delish food that arrives quickly in the centre of zagreb. They have a lenghty menu with different dishes, so I imagine everyone finds something they like to eat here. I always go for either fried calamari with fries, some sort of gnocchi, and then top it off with a tiramisu.

Unpleasant service, rude, ordered a capricciosa for the artichokes but couldn’t find any and had to insist several times, for in the end have 3 poor quarters of artichokes and a few cold olives on what was left of my pizza because he was so slow i had time to eat half of it already. no sorry, no kindness from the staff. Go next door at Otto & Frank you will have a way better experience

I have visited this place back when it was located near Kaptol. Now, it's even better than before. The staff was so friendly that they set up the terrace and brought the tables out for us. 🙌🏼 The pizza is excellent, made by Italians with Italian ingredients. It's soft, chewy, glutinous and lightly oily. The best Neapolitan pizza in Zagreb!

Not the same place anymore. When they opened in Zagreb it was one of the best pizza places, and after few years of opening and closing and few different locations, it's just not the same place as it first was. Nowadays, at the very touristic location, it is just no quality food with a low cost ingredients and unkind stuff. Very disappointing!

A great pizza place! Excellent quality pizza with great ingredients. Staff is friendly although they don't speak croatian so that's a minus by me because it hinders communication. If you're not a good english speaker you'll have trouble communicating. Also the basement-like setting and not very imaginative decoration (the setting is like you're eating in a hospital) are not to my liking. And one thing I didn't like about the pizza, the crust was soft. I don't know if it's a italian thing but I like my crust "crunchy". But the pizzas are realy tasty so 4 stars instead of 3.

Went twice to eat the Diavola Pizza. Great sauce, cheese and the salami has black pepper. Red pepper sprinkled make it a bit spicy and more exciting. The oil and basil add that Italian flare. One of the best.

The terrace is open with ~8 tables. The pizzas are great, with Neapolitan style dough. The selection is vast, with the possibility to add something extra on the pizza if you like. Beer selection is also good, I recommend the draught beers. It's not a five-star experience because the service is slow and inaccurate (there is only one waiter for all the guests).

Great Napoli style pizza. Very delicious pizza crust. We ordered one with boar mortadela, and other one with cheese and panzetta. They were very tasty. I'd definitely come again, and will. Real napoletano dough, smell, texture, taste, all amazing. For my taste fior di latte a bit too neutral, but dash of pamesan does the trick. All ingridients on pizza top quality, beer selection excelent. Location not the best but all in all that is it!

And just when you think you have try it all, you end up at restaurant which have name which associate you with some western USA movie. And doesn't have anything with pizza. Don't know why they went with that name, and that will remain mistery to me. Another mistery is pizza. Just delicious. Tremendous. The best! Whichever you choose. And there is no 20 or 30 some different versions. Just 15 of them, and you will not be mistaken. Just wonderful. I said to my friends: "We have to make pizza like this". We have so much to learn from our O'Hara's friends. I feel sorry for people who will come to Croatia and will not eat here. This place is best. Great home made pizza. The best pizza. Now, to be fair - you know I am tough, but fair -I don't know why they don't have most popular croatian beers, like Karlovacko, Ozujsko, Zlatni pan, Staropramen etc. Maybe because pizza is delicius so beer must match up. That being said they have other beers. Homemade craft beers. Great beers. Refreshing beers. Which are also delicious, but could appear bit stingy for your wallet. You can ask for hot sauces, but be warned. Original hot sauce which is rated 4 stars out of 5 is a real hot bastard. A pure firely devil. I would rate it 6 out of 5. Be careful with this one. It can cause some serious burnings on your tongue. But it's local. Guy who made it end second on world competion of hottest sauces last year in USA. Location of O'Hara is a bit out of typical touristical radious movement, so expect only locals here. Which is great. I just love It. We all love It. You gonna love It, too.

Very tasty but a bit expensive. They have good ingridients that are not so usual for pizzas in Croatia (which is huge advantage to return again). Should redecorate interior a bit. Make sure you call and make reservation! Will be stopping by again but not so often because of the prices. They should invrease a portion a bit or reduce prices a bit. We paid 5 pizzas and 4 drinks almost 60 euros.

Pizza place with slowest possible service. After so many recomendation such a disappointment....pizza is decent but far from best Napolitana ever ... we waited for pizza 40 minutes ... so all in all if you are in neighborhood, hungry and have a lot of time it will be OK but just OK

O'hara's is the only pizzeria in Zagreb with “Verace Pizza Napoletana” certification. If you are not good at Italian, that translates to “true neapolitan pizza”, meaning they have to use only specified ingredients, with approved equipment (oven) and traditional pizza making methods. Just like pizza in Naples. To confirm this, and ate pizza in several places in Naples, and O’Hara indeed tastes like one that came straight from Italy. Must visit place for every pizza lover.

Had dinner here with 3 friends, we shared some appetizers and then ordered main dishes. There is some difference between meal sizes, for instance my lasagna looked like half a portion, and was indeed too small for one person. On the other hand my friend was struggling to finish his meat meal, as it was too big. In general good is good, but nothing special. Service was very good, fast and professional. The food was generally great and tasty (although the bread that came with labneh was overtoasted so much it was almost inedible), but the waiting staff put us off from coming back...it started from us not having a reservation, so the only option given to us was to be seated outside (it is what we initially wanted since inside was a bit warm and loud), but the folks that came after us also had no reservation, but were nevertheless seated inside...and it continued with us not getting our water after snarky remarks from waitress "of course you want tap water", she forgot to bring it to us, the whole vibe of the place is a bit snobbish and off-putting

The location is central, which is a plus, for who would like to come by car, you’ll likely need to use a nearby garage. Overall, it’s a good spot to try out, especially for drinks. But as for food, if you are open to try something new and experience that would work for you, if you are coming with more expectations might not satisfiy you. A slightly expanded food menu would make it for sure better. Be sure to make a reservation for weekend dinners, as it can get busy!

Best bistro in town. Every seasonal ingridient that is treated with care to pull the best and purest flavours out. From simple entrees to more complex main courses, it bursts with colors, aromas and textures. The only problem is that main course is so sweet that you don't want to ruin it with desserts that are also memorable and amazing.

I had high hopes, but the food was a bit of a mixed bag. The tempura zucchini flowers were excellent. The raviolo however was very disappointing. The sauce was extremely salty, overpowering everything else on the plate, and the filling inside the raviolo was just a mushy mass without any clear flavor, bland and poorly balanced.

Wonderful place, food and staff! We were treated as if we were royalties, the food was super delicious and our host was a really super nice guy, made us feel real welcome. They are very aware of coeliac disease and they made sure our pizzas were gluten free both in terms of ingredients and cross contamination issues. And boy were they delicious… one of the best places in Zagreb and a must for any coeliac foodie!

Fantastic food in a warm and almost familiar atmosphere. Great cooking and high level of creativity, combined with a high quality ingredients turns classical food in to the real delight. We went for some delivery pizzas and the experience was fantastic. One of the waiters showed me a familiar to-share pizza and its worth it. Tired our first Croatian risotto here and it was great! Pizza was on point to. Our waitress was so happy soup that she made us comfortable and played a bit with the baby. The food was served really hot that I almost burned my tastebuds. Its a nice recommendation when you are in city and want to try some pizzas. What was really good is a parking space, bih enough for the guests of restaurant. Super tasty food and really friendly staff. The portions are generous, so prepare yourself! The setting is lovely, with grapes hanging from the vines above the terrace and little birds eating the breadcrumbs. The two staff members we spoke with were so nice and helpful, and both spoke good English, which helped with our nonexistent Croatian.

This is the best restaurant with a ‘homemade’ taste in Zagreb — by far! We tried the Pasticada and the mushroom soup, and both were absolutely delicious and sufficient for two people.

We have been eating out in Zagreb for 2 weeks. The hospitality and kindness from waiters throughout Zagreb has been unparalleled in my world travels. Our waiter at this restaurant was short, rather rude and not helpful. Our presence seemed inconvenient, our command of the Croatian language is poor, but we try to project appreciation and humility in our affairs, to honor local customs and culture. The food was very good, but made bitter by our experience. Business goes where it is invited, we will not return.

PUBLICly disappointed (just a little bit). I'm gonna start just like we started our Sunday lunch here—with the focaccia bread. This is honestly the biggest letdown. Whoever put this meal on the menu and called it a focaccia should Google what that actually is. They call it a focaccia, and what they bring you is a small pizza! Pizza dough is for pizza, not focaccia. Bad start, which gets a little better later. The pizza is... good. Not very good. Because they skimped on the tomato sauce and the mozzarella. There were full patches on the pizza with no sauce at all. And the dough is not aesthetically pleasing in the close-up. The visual texture is rubbery and kind of looks like leather, not dough. It is tasty, though. Not everyday pizza, but I can see myself coming back here... but only to see if the experience I had was because the restaurant was filled up to the last place. There were over 20 different pizzas to choose from, and for each you can choose a neapolitan or romana variation. The dessert we had: cheesecake and chocolate cake. The cheesecake was very good and is what you would expect from this simple dessert. The chocolate cake, though, was more brownie than chocolate cake. Actually, it was a brownie and NOT a cake. Seriously, these people need to see how dishes they are putting on their menu look elsewhere. The ambiance was nice, with a closed patio design and a fireplace with actual wood burning. What I dislike here is the terrace where we sat—it was filled with so many tables. You're almost bumping elbows with people at the neighboring table, though it's not as bad as some other places around Zagreb. All in all, I heard nice things about this place, but the pizza wasn't what I expected. I will have to return here to see if it was because the place was swamped with people and they didn't have time to perfectly cater to every order. However, I don't see the focaccia and the chocolate cake getting better, so I will maybe bump it to 4 stars. Disclaimer: I'm mostly rating the pizza experience here. I can't say their other dishes are bad.

The interior is fairly nice, it is furnished nicely and there's enough space between tables. It was also fairly clean. However, the waiter was grumpy and rude! I don't recall his name, but it was quite upsetting to experience his impatience when ordering. He seemed so pissed off that he needed to explain the ways we could customize our pizzas. Why give us the option to order between white/ red or thin/ thick crust? Don't even ask next time then. Ridiculous. The pizza was soaked in some type of liquid (as you can see the pools of liquid shown on the photo). I understand I could have said something to someone but after the rude interaction with the waiter I really couldn't take anymore bad service. The pizza wouldn't have been bad at all if it wasn't kind of... wet? I could tell the ingredients were of high quality. Overall, pretty disappointing- especially the service.

We had two pasta dishes, with one drink each. The pasta plates looked very nice, but somehow, the real taste of the pasta was missing. It was as if the flavors weren’t as vibrant as you’d expect from such a well-presented dish.The ambiance also didn’t live up to expectations. Everything, from the decor to the overall feel, felt somehow generic. There was no real atmosphere or warmth (ok,parking lot infront does not help for sure).It almost reminded me of a high-end cafeteria, where everything looks polished but lacks personality. The ambience of the place was great, a lot of thought has been put into its decorations, both inside and outside. During the pandemic, the menus are accessible via QR code, which continues the well-thought up setup. The pizza dough is really thin (take care is that's not your thing) but the toppings are well paired, making for interesting taste variations on old combinations. We both had small pizza (see pic) and the overall impression is that they are somewhat smaller than you'd usuall expect, but the pricing is there to match, so it works out well in the end, especially if you're not starving. One negative I can think of is the fact that the whole neighbourhood is a parking-zone, which we didn't mind since we came on a Sunday, but you're gonna have to pay for parking on weekdays and Saturdays.

I cannot lie, pizza is good and I was recommending this place until the waiter yelled at me and my kid cause the kid wasn't perfectly sitting at the table. On the other occasion they refused to serve me because of that. The other shift are decent people though

It's a shame that in most parts of this once favorable and affordable country, you are now paying up to 3x more for the same products, with a drop in quality! For example, a regular pizza costs €13 and the quality is average, so nothing special, and the basil that is on the menu is not put on the pizza! The service is top-notch just because of that the star is up!

Stopped by Boban in Zagreb and tried the crostino and Spaghetti di Gragnano. The crostino was decent - good even - but us adding their table olive oil (not specifically meant for it) to enhance the flavor left us feeling a bit off, like it relied too much on a extra touch. The pasta, priced at 19.00€, sounded exciting with roasted pepper cream, pepperoncini, cherry tomatoes, pine nuts, and Pecorino espuma, but it was bit of a letdown - bland and unexciting, almost like a dish for kids we felt. For 19.00€ and with the restaurant’s reputation (and prices of their other dishes), we expected flavor fireworks, but it was so lackluster that adding salt was the only way to taste anything - something you wouldn’t expect at a place like this. Even with salt, it was just okay, still not great. That said, the service was great - friendly and attentive, no complaints there. Overall, a mixed experience.

I had always wanted to eat at this restaurant but it always seemed full. On this evening, there were six of us who attended this restaurant. It was fine dining, reasonably priced. The waiters attentive, friendly and as well as funny. We had an amazing evening and we will come again next time we are in Zagreb.

During our visit to Boban in Zagreb, we enjoyed a fantastic dining experience. We ordered a pork dish, a ravioli dish, and paired it with local red wine. The food was absolutely delicious, and the wine complemented the meal perfectly. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I had an unforgettable dining experience at this Michelin-rated restaurant. The risotto side was among the finest I’ve ever tasted, and while the shrimp in my dish were small, their flavor was outstanding. Highly recommend!

We arrived for an early dinner and the very kind hostess took us to our table at the inner terrace. The ambiance was very nice with italian music playing at just the right volume in the background to allow for a normal conversation. Before our food came, the kind waiters brought us warm, homemade bread and their oilve oil made by Chiavalon. We had a plate of cheese and salami for starter and later linguine with truffles and a steak with fries. The linguine were cooked to perfection as well as the steak. The fries were delicious as well. For dessert we had the homemade tiramisu and ice cream and both were delicious and very light. The waiters were very kind and fast and the wait for the meals was quite short considering the restaurant was getting full. I started coming to Boban back in 2004. and they manage to maintain the high level of service and quality of food ever since. I really enjoy coming back and I can only give my highest recommendations for this restaurant. 5/5

Italian food, with Croatian attitude. Sadly, the only raw thing about Carpaccio is the attitude of the wait staff. Apathetic, annoyed, and not something to be expected in the center of the city. I was given dirty silverware, the spoon had some crust caked onto it. Our waiter was generally frustrated and disinterested. Also, we were charged 3 euros per person for some breadsticks and slices of bread. When I asked about, they claimed this is an international standard... Funny, since I come from a family of waiters, and have also traveled a lot, and have never seen such a charge before in my life. Don't serve something to my table, without my asking, and then charge me for it. But this is typical Croatia. The only professional aspect of the staff was their attire...

One of most famous restaurants in Zagreb Center with great terrace (spring/summer). This is rather expesive place but worth every cent. Professional service and great Croatian / Italian food. Ask for daily offer with daily fresh local vegetables or maybe hand-picked porcini mushrooms.

We enjoyed a late lunch after exploring the city. We sat under the canopy outside. The servings were extremely generous and tasty. We were so well fed we skipped dinner! The staff was attentive and the selection was good.

We had a great time, the food was amazing, and the service was great. Very professional Italian restaurant. We arrived without a reservation but I think you would need one in the evening. We had firsts, main course pastas and tried 3 desserts…. All great.

As I was walking down a street of restaurants I passed this one, the menu located outside looked enticing so I decided to enter. Upon entering I was greeted and was sat at a table right away. They have very good selection of wines from Croatia and Italy, lots to choose from. My order didn’t take long to prepare I order the rigatoni and steak. Both dishes took me by surprise in taste, they were flavorful. Our waiter was friendly and paid attention to detail for anything we needed, especially wine and water refills. Note that the bread is given as you sit, but it is not complimentary.

Gosh, did I enjoy my lunch here. I had the orange wine followed by a red. I had the vegetable soup with the orange, ribs with the red. Both combos were fantastic. The service is good but not overly precious, so it’s low key but professional. The menu is short and favours meat so it’s probably not a great location for vegetarians, as a group of them left after looking at the menu. But I loved it. I had soup, ribs, three glasses of wine for 181 kuna.

I would eat here again. I had a pizza picante and it was delicious! We stayed on the terrace as there was a heat wave and it was nice, with plenty of shadow and air circulation. Staff was nice and brought menus in English.

Really bad place. The personal is really arrogant. I was with my friends, and one of them was gluten intolerant and asked if they had gluten-free pasta, and the waiter said, "This is Italian restaurant. And there isn't such thing as gluten-free pasta." We had to wait a long time to get the menus which were tablets - that didn't work very well. We waited a lot for the food too and when it arrived it was too salty. I ordered soup, and it was like soy sauce and as a bonus there wasn'tany beef in the soup. The other ordered pizza - Margherita. The mozzarella was really salty, too. Then, the veil cutlet was chewy, salty and uncooked.

The food was great. We ordered lasagna and lamm with Risotto. So 😋

The restaurant is located next to Arena Zagreb. The ambient is giving a feeling of comfort, warmth, and relaxation. The food is extremly tastey in what ever form you order it. The staff is very helpful, friendly and professional. If you find your self near this restaurant, be sure to come and dont miss the yummy food and ambient. This is by far, my personal choice and favorite.

The food at Paesano was tasty, and the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and nicely decorated. However, a few things could be improved. Some of the waiters were not particularly friendly or attentive, which affected the overall experience. Additionally, the dish I ordered was missing broccoli, and no one informed me that it wouldn’t be included. It would have been appreciated if the staff had communicated this in advance. Another issue was with the change I received — I wasn’t given the exact amount back, as 10 cents were kept without any explanation. It’s not about the money itself, but about honesty. That said, I’d like to believe it wasn’t intentional.

Unfortunately, pretty bad experience the other day. Waiter was overworked, which was noticable by his expressions and how he handled our arrival. Pizza, i was informed that one of the ingredients is missing, but only a bit before it was served. When pizza was served, they forgot to put two more regular ingredients. It was returned and brought back with correction, but come on... Regarding quality of.the pizza, you'll get same or better in any random bakery for 1/2 of the price. Not going back

I had an amazing experience in ManO2. The deliciousness of the meat was something undescribable. They have special meat from Japan to Canada and there is a various of choice for wine. The prices are a little bit high but I believe it’s worth it. The atmosphere and rooming is amazing. Enjoy!

I had the pleasure of dining with my colleagues at ManO2 and I must say, it was a joyous experience. The quality cuts of meat they served were simply exquisite. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance, service and attention to detail were exceptional. The wine selection was extensive and as always Croatian red wine is a gold-mine for your throat. I came here to celebrate my wife's birthday. It worked out really well. We both loved the atmosphere and the service. It was a little bit expensive for our budget, but definitely worth the cost.

when I ate here six months ago it was the best carbonara ever(the picture where carbonara actually looks like carbonara) and today I got this. What is this??? Onion pieces are huge and it seems as no one wanted to put an effort into chopping them. Its dark therefore it doesn't even look like a carbonara, it doesn't even taste like one. You can't feel cheese or egg or anything that would even remind you of the carbonara taste. If you want to eat real carbonara, you should avoid this place. I don't know what happened, but if I knew you would send me something like this I wouldn't waste 12.5 euros on you, I ate better carbonaras for 7 euros.

One of the best grill places in this part of town. The menu is huge and there are a lot of meals, apart from the daily offer of brunches. The service is very quick and friendly, altough I got the feeling that the deliveries (which they had a lot of them!) have advantage over the guests. Usually very busy, so it's better to make a reservation.

Food and service is excellent! There is plenty to choose from the daily menu or a la carte. Mostly meat dishes but there is a sea food option or vegetarian. Prices are quite normal. On Friday, when we usually visit this place you can choose from the daily menu options like tuna steak, veal, suckling pig or squid and you will pay between 10 and 15 euros for a decent amount of food.

Well food and service were exceptional. Attentive and knowledgeable and rather humorous waiter Kristian helped steer the direction of the dinner and his recommendations were excellent. We ordered a plate for 4 ( there was 5 of us ) and we'll it was super flavourful and tasty. Overall service and food is above excellent ! Food is plentiful and can easily feed 6 people.

The Rustica spicy salad is a bowl of poorly chopped red onions, mushy tomatoes, and banana peppers. The meat skewers were over cooked and bland and served with, you guessed it, a bowl of poorly chopped onions. Poor service and poor quality food.

Today was my third time at this restaurant. The previous two times were great. (Almost a year ago) It was always crowded, and a reservation was needed. The atmosphere was excellent, and the previous two times, the food was great, but today....it was all about quantity and 0 quality. Both service and food. I know it was crowded, but I would rather wait for great food and, at least, polite service, then what we received today. In the end, the waiter forgot to bring the baked beans, so I told him to pack it for to go. You can see the result in the picture...

Very nice restaurant in Zagreb, big parking lot, open area and indoor tables. The menu was extensive so even when it seemed to be a pizza restaurant or Italian food specials it's mostly a little of everything, pasta, steak, pizza, salads, seafood, fish.. I ordered a meat pizza with mushrooms and it didn't look impressive but I enjoyed it a lot.. The dough was thin and crunchy. Simple but good meal The prices were relatively high but that's all the negative I can say about it

Place by its location was a bit off route. Coming in, we were confused by the location, next to the car registration place, but from outside it was seen that place is outstanding from its surroundings. Meals were excellent. All dishes ordered were outstanding (except perhaps Šopska salad, but you come here to eat meat 😀) in taste and prepared to perfection. Excellent service, excellent food 👌. I definitely recommend and will come back next time I visit Zagreb.

Pleasant atmosphere, prices are reasonable, commendable service. But the location is quite bad, as well as parking, mushroom soup below average, no mushrooms in soup, slightly artificial taste, Lasagna rich in meat, but no tomato sauce which is a big minus!

Great food and service (the prices are actually lower than what I expected for $$ on Google maps), lot of tables, didn't need to reserve but didn't go there in prime time. Overall, everything was great. Extra points go for kids where they have a play room with toys, slides etc.

One of the best Pitzza places in Zagreb . All the ingredients were fresh and with perfect cooking although they are using the electrical furnace not the wooden one. If you live or visit Zagreb it is a must to try . Highly recommended. Ranking: 5/5

Me and a friend ate Pizzas "Botanički Vrt" and "Medvednica", Medvednica was fenominal whilr botanički vrt was something new but nothing too amazing. But can't complain, pizzas were nice. Will come back to try Kornati pizza!

Pizzas are named after parks, pun intended. Restaurant is near Zagreb city center so finding parking here is a nightmare. There is a public paid parking garage 10 minutes walking distance from the restaurant. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy, with the industrial garden interior design, which is popular right now. There were a lot of tables and people, but it didn't feel cramped for a small space. The menus have little fun facts about Croatia/Zagreb and it's parks. For 2 people we paid 50 EUR (2 pizzas, 2 glasses of wine and dessert). The waiter was super friendly and we got our pizzas very fast after ordering. We had "Tuškanac" and "Bundek" pizzas and desert afterwards. Pizza "Tuškanac" was very spicy but they indicate that on the menu. The pizza's dough was a bit dissapointing. A bit overdone, and it was rubbery. The tomato sauce was genuine, though. The bottom was very thin and was made soggy by the sauce, also not easy to cut by the cutlery in the restaurant. Maybe because the restaurant was crowded they didn't have time to perfectly cater to every pizza. Very good pizza, but not everyday pizza.

Absolutely great, the pizza is amazing and has such a variety of flavours! Strongly recommend the desserts were a pleasant surprise, they were from a specialised dessert place and were absolutely delicious! (Chef-like) About the people working, everyone was extremely welcoming (especially considering we were speaking English all the time), in general we were really taken care pf and welcomed with the best of Croatian hospitality!

Located in quiet Martićeva street Park offers a very good dining experience, the menu is mostly pizza based with a couple of items that will please the non-pizza lovers. All in all, location is great, especially when the night falls, since the lightning offers a nice romantic feel. Pizzas are fine, somewhere in between napoletana and regular style pizza, the dough is good, tho on some the pizzas stuffing was too much and it made the thin dough too soggy so it might be a turn off for some people. All in all, a good little place to grab a pizza and enjoy a couple of drinks with your friends or loved one :)

What a great place to have pizza! We had lunch here when we arrived in Zagreb and then dinner the night after. The pizza and salad was amazing and we also had tiramisu which was very good! Staff were really friendly and quick to serve. Thoroughly recommend coming here for a really good pizza.

The most delicious granola and baklava (their own spin without honey and with mascarpone instead but delicious) and good coffee. We did have to wait for seats but we were a group of 9 to be fair so it’s unsurprising. Great place, very pretty, affordable, delicious, pretty bathrooms

One of the best-organized and most beautiful breakfast spots we found in Zagreb. We actually came here every morning during our 3-day stay — it quickly became our go-to place to start the day. Just had the most amazing Eggs Benedict here! Perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor! Even the side salad was crisp, fresh, and so refreshing alongside the dish. And the Coconut Raspberry Croissant was absolutely divine! The balance between the creamy coconut and the tart raspberry is spot on! Sweet, fragrant, and just THAT good. Every bite felt like a little treat. Highly recommend!

Very pleasant staff, the atmosphere is unique and interesting, great selection of beers, pizzas with pretty well balanced and creative recipes, however the pizza dough is about average, somewhat dry and the crust not fluffy enough.

A bit higher priced than other pizzerias in Zagreb, but you can get many vegan variations as well as deep dish pizzas. The lady who took my order was very polite and the vegan cake was surprisingly tasty, too! Personally, I prefer super thin pizza doughs, while you get medium size here. It was my first time in pizzeria Chello. I heard they were famous for their pizza but didn't think it was that much different from the rest. But boy was I wrong. They are well known for their DOOMSDAY pizza and it was delicious, mind blowing. 3 different cheese, 3 type of meat and 3 type of sauce. It really is something special. This is a must. Beside the food the interior is very special. Everthing is in wood and looks like you went back 40 years ago. It bring you special you to eat there. Our waiter was very kind man and polite. The prices are not high, they are normal. Great place to bring kids too.

Pizza is really phenomenal, ingredients are all of great quality and fresh. Congratz to the team. The price I would say is equivalent to the quality of pizza and I have no problem paying a bit more for the great food. There are plenty of terrible expensive pizzas in Zagreb. The restaurant itself though, I'd rather not comment on that. If nice place to go out to eat is what you're looking for, this is probably not a place for you.

I had read a few reviews so decided to make this place our 'pizza' night. I wish we picked someplace else. The place is very dark, no music, no atmosphere and the staff were neither welcoming or even friendly. No welcome, nobody asked if the food was OK or even a thank you/goodbye on leaving. Pizzas are almost flat bread style and served very quickly after ordering The quality is nice, but with the lack of atmosphere and the attitude of the staff just made this place an 'OK' at best. One major issue - there were two guys one making the flatbreads and one serving the tables. The guy serving the tables would take payments, deliver drinks and food then would help make the breads. He didn't wash his hands between serving the food taking payments and then handling the ingredients. I wouldn't recommend this place

This cute pizza restaurant was recommended to us by our travel guide. Turned out to be an excellent recommendation. The pizza was delicious, the crust thin and delicious, and the wine quite nice. Highly recommend.

It's a nice pizzeria, having wooden oven and a authentic Italian dough. It is located near to downtown having a nice terrace to chill out or to talk with your friends.

Pizzas are still great after all these years. Ambiance is somewhat cosy. Service on the other hand not quite so, uninterested, forgot to bring our order of extra sauce, he didn't even say anything. As we were leaving, they didn't even bother to say goodbye, and no the place wasn't packed.

THE BEST PIZZA IN ZAGREB! After trying all the highest rated / most popular pizzerias in Zagreb, I can confidently say that this is the best one. The ingredients are always fresh and they use a traditionally built fire oven. It’s a bit tricky to find as the restaurant is located on the side of a mound accessible from the inner yard of a block of buildings that has its entrance from Vlaška street. You can pay by card here and the staff are always friendly. Enjoy! :))

Low key place with excellent thin crust pizza if that's what you like. We ordered the mushroom pizza and it arrived in less than 10 minutes. Attentive and very good service! The pizza was great and was filling for two of us with a nice light crispy crust which was unusual for this region.

Excellent pizza, a romantic place on an elevated terrace, friendly staff, great measure of price and quality as the ingredients used are all very good, nice beer selection... a place I like to visit whenever I feel like eating some pizza. For me Purger represents one of the best pizza places in the 🌍 - taste, atmosphere and emotion wise 😁. It looks, tastes and feels like it did decades ago and, with a no delivery/cash only policy, still stands out. Eating your pizza there means they can ensure it's always just as it should be. As I was travelling through Croatia, I've spent two days in Zagreb. Looking for fast meal I've found nice pizzeria near my location. Pizza was very tasty, with fresh cheese and vegetables( very good peppedoni!) and nice crispy doe. Staff was smiling and nice, perfect english. Atmosphere quiet and relaxing. Prices very affordable. This place is like a time machine that transports you back 30 years in the past. Don't expect Neapolitan or any other modern type of pizza; instead, anticipate the classic, old-school pizza that was crafted around Zagreb. The ham is still flavorful, generously topped with mushrooms. The dough is crunchy and delicious, and surprisingly, despite the abundance of mushrooms, it remains perfectly crispy and not soggy. We enjoyed our experience here, and whenever we crave authentic old-school pizza, this is our go-to spot.

Delicious pizza with a perfectly toasted crust. Not too thick or thin, not too doughy or crisp. Just right. I had the namesake "Pizza Purger" with egg, bacon and onions. Really good. Service isn't super attentive, but I was there on a rainy Sunday afternoon, so it was probably super slow compared to a weekday lunch hour. It was nice to have a booth to myself and not feel rushed, so no complaints. They've got a few beers (bottles only I think), so you've got your choice of pivo:) a huge mirrored wall makes for fun photo ops if you're into that kind of thing;)

This place was near to our hotel and we were famished. We loved the spot. Service was quick, English was well understood in terms of menu. Food: Pad thai with prawns / Shrimps 🍤 : Decent taste, as it was our first out of thailand thai food 😋 Thai beef noodles: This one is beef stew noodles, which requires a lot tempering with various side accompaniments in orderto get it perfect.

The most authentic thai food that you can find in Zagreb!

Hands down the best and most authentic Thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand (for the record, I’ve lived in Asia for 10+ years)! The Pad Thai was delicious and the Tom Yum was flavorful and comforting! Great food and lovely service! The stall is rather small with a few chairs if you want to sit outside. I visited in November 2022 and in October 2023 (the second time I went especially!!) - both times the weather was not ideal and sitting was a bit cold! Anyways, the food is amazing!! Can’t wait to visit again!! 😋🇹🇭🍜

One of the best authentic Thai food I’ve had in Europe. And well, I had a lot of Thai. It is a small place with 4 tables to sit on outside, but the food is worth it. I recommend pad Thai, green curry and Thai milk tea. We liked it so much we ate here twice in our short time in Zagreb :) and everyone was suuuper friendly here :)

10/10 pizza from experts! One thing that was a miss but could be better in the future, match names of Italian regions with their traditional food (e.g. you missed a perfect opportunity for Emilia Romagna-parmeggiano from Parma, aceto balsamico from Modena and mortadela from Bologna😄) Also, there is just one vegetarian option..

This is, hands down, one of the best pizza places if not the best in Zagreb. The crust and the dough is amazing and chewy. The ingredients are fresh and the amosphere is lovely. If you love pizza from the south of the Italy this is the place to visit. We also had dessert. The souffle was not overly sweet, it was runny and soft. The dark chocolate really shined. We had a lemon meringu cake. The cake was fresh and citrusy. Not overly sweet and the texture was light, making it a perfect ending.

A great pizza place almost at the edge of town. There is plenty of parking spaces all around, and there is also a kid's park. The pizzas are Neapolitan style, and very chewy and tasty. The toppings are abundant, fresh and tasty. We also tried the salmon and pork ribs, they were very good, too.

I’m so glad that sheer destiny brought us dining here. We were headed in a complete opposite direction but something told me that we should have checked this place out. Oh how right I was. Today is our first day of vacation after a long year and a half, so we had to start big. And Stara Sava created the perfect environment for the kick off. I was immediately attracted by the pictures on google maps of the fried fish and French fries, so I had it on my mind on the way there. We also ordered a shared plate of kroketi, a nice cool bottle of classic Riesling and a lovely cold bottle of the good old Jamnica. The fried fish was so divine that my husband, who never picks from my plate, stole lots of fish from mine out of pure gluttony. The atmosphere was so chill, people of all kinds from elders to tweens to young families. We were probably the only foreigners but we have been served with an excellent English and lovely overall availability and professionalism. I strongly, strongly recommend visiting Stara Sava, it’s literally one of the chillest places we have ever been to like, ever.

The place was recommended by local friends - we were at Zagrebacki Velesajam, and we wanted to eat fine without getting into the centre to the well knows places. We're welcomed with absolute kindness at the reception. A huge, airy space is there with a woody interior and good lights by plenty of old styled chandeliers - so, the atmosphere is gorgeous. There are many tables for the guests. There is basically no waiting time as the staff get into eye contact so naturally and quick, and guests are served with a high level kindness. The service and the kitchen are so fast. The food is above expectations - quality food, authentic way of making. The place earned a new regular client!

Pizzeria Stara Sava is more than just a restaurant to me - it's a piece of my childhood. I still clearly remember being five years old, sitting here with my family, and thinking their calamari was the best thing I had ever tasted. Coming back almost 25 years later, I couldn’t help but hope to relive some of that magic. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to the memory. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it also didn’t leave much of an impression - just average, if I’m being honest. The price compared to what you get feels a bit shaky - fair in some ways, but falling short in others. Stara Sava isn’t a bad choice, and there’s still something charming about it, but it’s obvious that the best days are behind it. Still, if you’re in the area, it’s worth visiting at least once - if only to feel a little bit of the history that made it special in the first place.

Ordered delivery from Stara Sava. My 2nd time having it while in Zagreb. Pizza was awesome and a good price from what I'm used to in Canada. Slavonska is one of the best pizzas I have had. Capricciosa was also delicious but a bit more basic. Will definitely have this place again when I'm in Zagreb.

If you are looking for a pizza and you're in the area, look no further. Stara Sava, being one of the oldest Pizzerias in Zagreb, is definitely one of my favorite and go-to pizzerias (I eat there at least once a week). I have tried most pizzerias and yes, there are some other greats serving different styles like napoleon, etc. Stara Sava's pizza is very consistent and hearty; it isn't the thin crust - it can fill you up and that I like! If you are a tourist, I would suggest the Slavonska or just a simple cheese pizza (my favorite pizza is the mozzarella with black crust). If you're not feeling like pizza, other dishes are offered from a range of pastas to Chimichangas (my favorite). These dishes even come with a free salad bar which is a rarity in Zagreb. So, if you're around I'd highly recommend visiting this place (no delivery option) and giving it a try. Enjoy!

A huge Sunday rush crowd - very noisy and it was difficult to hear my partner over the din of people and music. 😅 While we did not have to wait to get seated or to get drinks, we did wait for our pizzas for a long time. They were delicious when we got them, but we waited for a long time.

My friend, Chef of 12 years experence, Praveen ordered veggie pizza with extra cheese. The pizza arrived sooner than what he expected which was a nice suprise. However, the pizza was very plain and flavorless. Also, no extra cheese like he asked.
