Cafe du Soleil is a charming 18th-century mill restaurant located in Pound Lane, Canterbury. The cozy brick-walled interior creates a warm ambiance, and there's also a terrace for al fresco dining. Specializing in Mediterranean cuisine with French and Italian influences, the menu changes seasonally to offer an array of delectable dishes. Known for their Duck Four Ways starter and wood-fired pizzas, this hidden gem is perfect for a delightful dining experience.
Amazing food and service! Had the pulled duck burger which was incredible - so yummy, would 100% recommend. The pizza for 2 is very sizeable and delicious. The servers were all smiley and happy to help. The tiramisu was a lovely extra and much appreciated! Thank you!!

We could not get a table at another nearby restaurant. They recommended to us Cafe Du Soleil. Their loss and Cafe du Soleil gain! What a great restaurant on the river. It was a Monday evening, so not too busy. We had the large wood fired half and half pizza - Napoletana and Pepperoni. It was large but perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. We were stuffed after finishing it!

Delicious Italian fare in Canterbury. Gluten free menu available. We enjoyed the aubergine gratin, calamari salad (crispy and gluten free!), seafood risotto, and lamb dish — great flavors, perfect cook/temperature on the protein, all gluten free! Highly recommend.
Susan W — Google review
If you want a perfect warm welcome, fantastic service and excellent food we recommend here. We came spontaneously for some lunch and really enjoyed our meal. How lovely to walk in and everything just hits the spot. Looking forward to returning soon to maybe have the delicious sharing dish again or might try something else. Enjoy.
Nimy B — Google review
delectable food, generous portions, came for lunch menu inadvertently and had the beef carapaccio which had a lot of flavors like spicy, salty cheesy very delicious, and the the aubergine which is the eggplant also cheesy and warm and gooey and delicious, and had nudja Pizza was which a lot of flavor but overwhelming and not like the cross was delicious but like it was really salty but not in a terrible way. it's more like really, really strong and had the beef steak burger which was good but very heavy and the fries were okay and came with the tiramisu which had a deep roasty coffee flavor which was unique and came with a candle for wifey's birthday and overall super pleasant experience

Lovely restaurant Megan was my server, and was super helpful nothing was too much, food was delicious my visit was short notice as I had some clients cancelled at the last minute from my Canterbury Ghost Tour! We booked last minute. We had a sharing platter Buttered chicken and Chilli chicken and I had a pepperoni pizza! Service was outstanding and staff overall were very helpful! All food cooked to order all food freshly prepared and cooked!
John H — Google review
We had the share plater and what a large amount of delicious food. The steak was so tender and the chicken was simply delicious. Asked for more bread and was on the table hot out the oven. We did not have a reservation but the manager kindly got us in. We had constant attention and service was good humour and a smile. Nothing to was too much. Good atmosphere. Will be going back
Daniel B — Google review
Beautiful pizza, surroundings and service. You can get the pizza half and half if you get them large so had artichoke and nduja. Large pizzas are absolutely huge and so eye catching. Probably the nicest pizza I’ve had in the UK! The chilli oil and chilli mayo were also out of this world!! Will definitely be going again.

Restaurant
Wildwood Restaurants in Canterbury is a stylish and modern chain offering European and international favorites, including a kids' menu. It's known for its affordable Italian-leaning menu with crowd-pleasers suitable for any occasion. The restaurant has a contemporary look and offers indulgent desserts. Located near the river, it provides a super-cozy atmosphere with plenty of non-gluten options on the menu, such as pizza and pasta. The staff are friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable about the menu options.
The Canterbury branch truly exceeded our expectations. The service was outstanding: friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was beyond good; every dish we ordered was spot on. Highly recommend the truffle fries, chicken, seafood risotto, and lasagne, each one packed with flavor and beautifully presented. Everyone in our group was happy with their meal. Top-notch hospitality and a great dining experience overall. We'll definitely be back!

We were greeted warmly and seated in a comfortable area. The staff checked for any allergies and took our orders. The food was presented beautifully and was very tasty. There was a delay between the starter and the main course but it was a rather hot day and there was only one chef on duty. The staff were friendly and ensured that we had what we needed. One can sit inside but there is seating in the outside back area. The facilities were clean but the flush of the toilets needs checking. We would be happy to go again.
Marlene W — Google review
Went here today as the menu looked good from outside. The place was beautiful, even the toilets were nice especially with the decor. The waitress Rumy was quick and efficient and extremely helpful and friendly especially as my friend had special dietary requirements. The food was great portion size and so were the drinks. The quality of the food was delicious and the pricing was very good especially for the portion size. All courses of the menu looked great and a good selection of choice. The staff we friendly the whole way through. Rumy was a great waitress

Good service, , pizza, salad and sandwiches were fine. You should definitely try the seafood risotto and linguine , it is exceptional. You can ask for your food to be cooked without wine if you prefer it.

We had a great dining experience yesterday at Wildwood Canterbury. The food was great, the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was friendly. I would highly recommend their thin crust large pizzas and garlic bread. Large portion sizes and nicely done.
Anita C — Google review
Stumbled upon this place while wandering about, looks very nice. Sat in the lovely back garden and the staff were so friendly. I ordered a thin based pizza, you have to pay extra for this and my partner ordered a risotto along with a side salad, and lastly a bottle of wine. After waiting a stupid amount of time my partner got up to investigate where the wine had got too. She discovered the wine sitting on the bar next to the side salad, after a brief chat , with the now less friendly member of staff, who was fiddling with her phone, we had the wine and salad delivered to our table. In due course the meals arrived, the pizza was nice but the base was over cooked , but my partner liked the risotto. My main problem with this place is we had to keep asking for things, the tables inside had all the condiments you could wish for , but outside nothing, so we had to keep on requesting things. So why am I paying a service charge when there is no service. All in all generally average.

I recently visited and was blown away by the experience! The food was absolutely top-notch, especially the wild mushroom risotto and spaghetti carbonara—honestly the best I've ever had. The service was spot on too; everyone was super friendly and attentive, making sure we were enjoying our meal. The place itself was clean and had a lovely atmosphere. I'll definitely be back for more!

Bit of a late review but went for a valentines day dinner. Cocktails were amazing ! Great gluten free options. Wasn't the greatest fan of the layout for the day as we were very close to other couples and struggled pulling chairs out as we was back to back. Otherwise good was delicious , service was great and would come back again.
Sasha U — Google review
Loved the place, but I think selling the meal without including the fries is a bit of a rip off. You are then forced to buy the sides cause the burger on its own, not sufficient. It's a little pricey for my liking and also the drinks. The burger was already, £20, then you added the drinks, and then you add the sides, and you well over 30 before you even have the dessert 🍨 🥧 🍦 . The place is lovely and the ambience is amazing, clean toilets and the staff was amazing, even though we were many, the smiles on their faces never changed. Thank you, we all had a nice time.

A pleasant find whilst looking around Canterbury. Situated right in the middle of the town. It has outside seating (on the street) and an air conditioned interior. As the name suggests, it specialises in Italian cuisine and doesn't disappoint. The staff are super friendly and the interior is squeaky clean. It boasts a five star hygiene rating. My seven year old granddaughter enjoyed her spaghetti Bolognese and my Rigatoni with Bolognese was delightful. Unusually, I wasn't given any bread with the tomato soup that I ordered. Prices are reasonable and the portions, while not excessive, are good. I would definitely return.

Waitress was very attentive and food as always was great Only niggle was the front of house manager had an unessasary argument with the head chef and it wasn't his fault. We were seated next to prep area so heard everything

We had such a lovely evening at Prezzo Canterbury on 20/08/25. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, with a really nice buzz around the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious – everything came out fresh and full of flavour, and we really enjoyed every course. A special mention has to go to Lucy, who looked after us so well throughout the night. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel completely at ease, which really added to the whole experience. It’s so nice when great food and great service come together, and that’s exactly what happened here. We’ll definitely be coming back soon and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed and enjoyable meal out in Canterbury!

Our waiter was brilliant. As the normal salmon dish i love was not on the menu. He went out of his way to ask the chef if I could have the dish I liked without prawns and have double salmon. Which I had it was delicious. Love the food. Never had a bad experience.

Fantastic food and impeccable service from the two Romanian gentlemen. Best pasta I've eaten out in years. Fresh flavours snd perctly cooked.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was good but could have been better, not enough seasoning on some dishes.

This establishment was warm and welcoming.. The food however was a "let down" or a "crash"!! My partner ordered a pizza which as seen in the photo, was delicious for him... However. My meal "a bowl of tomato sauce" with poorly cooked pasta and the meatballs were like if they were boiled and flavourless.. So uneatable that I lost my appetite and was given a full refund off the bill...

Karma was amazing as always. Very friendly, made us feel very welcomed and fulfilled our special requests regarding our dishes with a smile. Thank you Karma xxx

Lovely little place with really friendly and attentive staff, we were given options of sitting outside, front of house or a back dinning area. Upon sitting at a table we were given a complimentary snack of some sort of tasty pasta crisps which I need a recipe for, they were delicious! My partner and I went with a pretty basic option for our first visit of this restaurant and both had a bolognese, but it was absolutely lovely and pretty filling. The atmosphere here was great and the decor was really nice, will definitely be visiting again to try some more of their food!

The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and engaging. Regardless of our visit being at rush hour, the team of waiters handled everyone in a professional manner. Despite the fact that some of the customers were rude and ill-mannered, the staff kept their composure and standards. Overall a good experience, definitely coming back

We just tried to get a walk in table for 4 for my wife 2 daughters and I. We we're told that as we had not book it would be a 30min wait. Another couple waiting behind us with 2 children then asked for a table for 4 with no booking. They were then seated immediately. When my wife asked why the other couple could be seated straight away. The lady couldn't give us an answer. Maybe our faces just didnt fit?

Lovely atmosphere, great food. I ordered the slow cooked beef but highly recommend the seafood pasta. Really well done

Food was extremely good and fresh. The pizza was a good size for its price. However, the staff seemed to not care and only wanted to get things done which led to poorer customer service on my end. Another bonus was the payment. You were able to order online and also have the feature to “split the bill”. Great for teenagers when paying if need be and easier. Needless to say, the food was amazing and so was the tiramisu. Will be returning 😊

Very pleasant Italian atmosphere, excellent and courteous service. The food is authentic and delicious, the dough is properly made, although the portion of the filet labarque was small, but everything else was excellent. The ingredients are fresh, in short, it is worth dining there.

Walked in without a booking and was pleased to be able to get a table for myself and my friend. Our waitress Leila was lovely she was very warm and welcoming, food arrived very quickly after ordering and was delicious. After our mains Leila asked if we would like to see the pudding menu, myself and my friend both chose the Chocolate Etna. It was amazing, one of the best puddings I’ve ever had. Great experience at ask Canterbury will definitely be back!

Amazing time. My boyfriend and I frequent Ask Italian every few months as our spot and it’s always amazing. We never reserve a table but they always make space for us to come inside for something to eat. Our server last night was Leila and she was absolutely lovely. Above and beyond in my opinion. As a server myself I find myself slightly more judgy of services when I go out so it’s lovely when the staff do that bit extra. The starter was the new pesto dough balls and they were amazing. Our mains were also sublime, I went for the sake pasta dish I’ve had a couple times and it never misses. My partner tried the new pizza with goat cheese and I couldn’t help myself from stealing some - it was delicious. Dessert was amazing also with a Biscoff cheesecake and a very fun chocolate bomb dessert. Leila poured the toffee sauce ontop and the chocolate melted delicately over the ice cream. Overall was an amazing date night and we will be back soon.

The food was lovely and the portions were good that we couldn't actually finish. We had the pesto pasta and garlic bread, pizza and chips and shared an ice cream. It all seemed freshly made and the wait wasn't too long. Staff were friendly and helpful. Families with children were there and it was quite sweet to see the tables being laid out and the families coming in happy. I would recommend it for good food and it was nice and clean there. Didn't visit the bathroom so can't comment on that.

Came here today for a meal with family. Overall very good service, the waitress came to serve us quickly and the food did not take too long to arrive. My only complaint is that I ordered a pollo della casa (which was a chicken and mushroom pasta) and there was no chicken in it. Pollo della casa means chicken of the house. Where was the chicken? Clearly not in this house. Luckily the garlic bread managed to redeem this, it was covered in cheese and very garlicy. Overall decent restaurant, and would probably come here again.

Pizza Express is a casual pizza restaurant with friendly waitstaff that offers a variety of pizzas for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. The four cheese pizza is especially delicious.
We have visited many times before over the years, even gave the grandchildren a treat there once, but I have never written a review before. The standard of the food is always very good and I love the venue, the river views, the atmosphere and the decor. Over the years, the level of service has varied. When it is not so good, it's always down to a lack of staff. Whether the manager can't get them or doesn't have the budget for them, I don't know. However, because we can, we now visit in the early afternoon. It's usually fairly quiet then and service is good. Unless there is a tragic change of circumstances, we will remain loyal customers.

The food here was lovely and fresh. Service was amazing. There were 7 of us in total including 3 little children, and our waiter Silas took such good care of all of us, was super thoughtful, attentive, made fabulous espresso martinis and had such great initiative, especially with the kids. He was also extremely professional and lovely to us and guided us through the menus seamlessly amongst the toddlers' chaos! So thank you! Pizza express was such a lovely vibe with colouring books and pencils ready to keep your little ones busy until the food arrives. Highly recommend!

Staff are extremely rude, managers are worse and only there to ensure revenue. They don’t give a toss about customers. Also self checkout barriers are insane - they rarely work when you scan a receipt and often self checkout doesn’t even print one ! I rarely shop here now - but on the odd occasion I have - it’s always kicking off in there this shop just attracts trouble. Avoid avoid avoid Asda is just down the road and their staff are much nicer and polite

AVOID!!! 1st visit since they completely removed all human tills. Absolutely dreadful! Not enough staff. All staff on shopfloor were rushing to pack deliveries and there was nobody to assist customers. Long queue for the trolley auto-checkouts. From the time we reached a self-checkout it took us about 20 mins to scan and pack our medium trolley load!. A staff member on a till could have got more than 6 loads through in the same time!. Checkout problems, not enough staff to sort the problems, customers fed up and saying they would never go there again...... And that's before you even consider the ethics of replacing staff with machines to make more company profits. Vote with your feet- only use human tills and shop where you get decent service for your money.

The self service till I used this morning didn’t give any change. The screen clearly stated that I was owed £2.40 but 0.00 paid out. The assistant‘s main response to this was errrrrr, repeated many times. When another employee came, they went off to check security cameras to see if I had stolen the money….£2.40! Not what you need on the way to work. Thankfully Canterbury has plenty of other supermarkets to use

They have recently started a campaign to hire all young staff, none of whom I've had good experiences with. The old guard are out. The young kids talk in their earpiece and ignore customers, I watched on girl on her phone while a customer walked out with booze without paying (she took the cap off before he'd paid) and then she started saying to the young guy that she was going to be in trouble. All while we stood for 5 minutes waiting for someone to come press a button on our screen. Miss the competent staff - please start hiring less useless people.

Awful experience. Turned 59 this year, and worked in customer service through various different roles over the past 30 years, and this is truly one of the worst places I have ever seen. I thought the Lidls in Hawkinge was bad but this really is the worst. From the moment I walk in to the moment I walk out, all I see is a sea of disgruntled, moody faces that look at you like you're not welcome. The self-service check-outs in particular, need some really intensive training on their customer approach and interaction. It's really below poor, service. My experience this evening, (approx. 1830 Fri. Nov. 7th). was that my shopping needed age verification. A young black lady and even younger black man, were working the self-checkouts. She appeared to be his superior, judging by their conversation about shifts/rotas. I caught the young man's attention and he walked over to my checkout. He never greeted me, or even looked at me during the process of verification, and once he finished he turned away as if I wasn't even there, without a word. I ignored it. Paid for my shopping and as usual I grabbed my basket to place it in the used stack on my way out. Before I got to the exit gate, the young lady that I assumed was the supervisor at that time, grabbed the basket from me (not snatched), and continued to pull it without saying a word to me. I let go and walked out the store to my car where I felt compelled to write this review. The standard of service in this store is wayyyyyy below par. I would really love to know what formal customer service training sainsburys give their potential applicants, but certainly judging by this store, I believe it is actually non-exsistent. So come on Sainsburys, you charge your customer enough money to shop for products in your stores. Hiw about investing in your staff. They clearly dont give a damn about the customers and that attitude can only be a reflection that filters from the top, down. You seriously need to make enormous efforts with your staffing issues. The atmosphere in this store is diabolical. It may not be a great deal to you, as it is just 'cattle in-cattle out'...but this is my last visit ever. What a sad effort on behalf Sainsburys. You've been around for years now. You should know and DO better. Shame on you.

Confusing layout, I spent 10 mins looking for Rosé as it wasn't near the other wines. I waited another 10 minutes for someone to verify my age at the self-checkouts, as only one person was working both self-service checkouts. I had to ask a cashier if he could call someone as the poor service woman was being shouted at by some aggressive customer, as she was run off her feet.
Stacy — Google review
Store is fine but toilets not very clean. Coffee machines in stores are a nice touch especially where they are part of the meal deal. Sainsbury's clothing is affordable and well made. I used this store a lot when I lived in Canterbury. The Starbucks coffee shop was nice then but I can't afford them now. I really liked the Sainsbury's own cafes that did hot food in other stores but they've been closing them down.

Waitrose is a supermarket chain which has branches in Canterbury, England. It is known for its fresh British produce, groceries, and baked goods. The store is always friendly and helpful, and can always be found what you're looking for. The variety of ingredients that Waitrose offers makes it a great choice for those on the go. The Quick Check feature allows shoppers to scan items as they go through the store, and then pay at the separate check out station.
Very conveniently located with good parking. Stocked amply … with methodically replenished shelves. Staff extremely helpful. All the hard to find food items in Canterbury!
Andy B — Google review
A friendly cafe with polite and helpful staff. Although they haven't got back to complete normality after COVID - a shortage of daily papers to read and the little bar and stools still missing from the takeaway coffee area. Shame, that was a nice little hub to chat to people.
A B — Google review
I am highly satisfied with my regular shopping experience. My routine consists of grocery shopping at the Canterbury Waitrose branch, followed by a latte at their cafe; the staff consistently provide friendly and helpful service. While some items exhibit higher pricing, the exceptional quality of the produce justifies the cost. Shopping between 5 and 6 p.m. allows me to benefit from reduced prices on many items, offsetting the effects of current inflation. Moreover, this activity contributes positively to my mental and emotional well-being.
Jamie P — Google review
Despite the fact that I’m a regular customer here, I was practically stalked by a security guard around the store today. Not sure as to why that is but I could only assume that I looked suspicious because I’m not the right colour. Interesting as to how another review has also highlighted the not-so-subtle racial profiling in this store… if you’re not the right colour I wouldn’t recommend shopping here. Toodles!
Olivia G — Google review
Unfortunately whenever I have gone to Waitrose I have not had the best experience. This review excludes the cafe as the staff are always lovely there. The rest of the staff around the store and especially the ones at the checkout are not very friendly. I feel like im being stalked when I walk about the aisles as if they are waiting for me to shop lift. I don't think they realise that their unconscious discrimination and bias is very strong in this store which, is why I have avoided it for many years. I decided to give it another go after the gym this morning, but the mature lady at the self checkout was literally breathing down my neck, counting my pastries and checking my screen, despite having other customers (of ethnic majority,) which she left to go about their business. This made me very uncomfortable as I was close to leaving everything behind and walking out! However, there were a few elderly customers around and I did not want to startle them. I am disappointed that the staff training when it comes to discrimination and unconscious remains poor, because I made a similar complaint 10 years ago.😐

You've got to love Waitrose! They have good quality products that are well sourced. They always have ingredients that are on the unusual side that would be hard to find elsewhere. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The shopping experience is always relaxed and enjoyable. Personally I think it's the best supermarket in the UK.
Briony W — Google review

Well stocked, diverse and most importantly great customer service. Prices are comparable and sometimes even cheaper here than in other stores.

Pizza Hut Canterbury is a popular chain offering delivery, carry-out, and dine-in options. Known for its variety of pizzas, wings, pasta, sides, and desserts. The staff is praised for their friendliness and efficiency in serving even during busy times. They are known to accommodate large group orders with helpfulness and professionalism. Customers appreciate the great toppings options and recommend the Chicken Supreme pizza. The stuffed crust pizza is highlighted as a particularly good deal at 10.99 pounds.
We have been using this Pizza Hut regularly for well over a year now. Every month we collect our online ordered pizzas at 1.30-1.45 pm and they are always ready. Always fresh, hot and meticulously made with care . We have had pizzas from other Pizza Huts in the past, notably Bluewater and they have been AWFUL and very expensive so we have boycotted them except for the one at Dover Road! The staff are always very warm, welcoming and friendly especially the gentleman that is there on a Thursday during the day. Thank you very much.
Sue H — Google review
Thought we would treat ourselves to a couple of pizzas, one deep pan and one stuffed crust, so disappointing. The stuffed crust was doughy and the pan pizza was the most greasy based pizza I have ever eaten, complete waste of money. Even had to put it on kitchen towel, the base almost tasted like the ones they would use for garlic bread. I will never return and would never recommend the food. Edit- I had already contacted the customer care team and just offered a voucher and said that’s all they can do.
Ed F — Google review
Took advantage of the large pizza at £9.99 collection deal so of course you can't argue with the price. The pizza's were pretty good, not greasy, the garlic dusting didn't haven't much flavour so we'd skip that next time and sauce / toppings were nice. Bit difficult to find somewhere to park if you're driving for the collection deals, side roads nearby are the only real option. Noticed that some of these reviews here are clearly for the high street restaurant so just ignore those. With these deals, I would recommend and buy again.
Ben — Google review
I am extremely disappointed with my recent order from Pizza Hut. I ordered two Sizzlers pizzas, but when they arrived, they tasted completely different from what I was expecting. The flavor was off, and the pizzas seemed rushed or made incorrectly. When I called to express my concern, I spoke to a staff member named Alex, who was rude and dismissive. She didn’t take my complaint seriously and seemed more interested in brushing me off than actually resolving the issue. This experience was far below the standard I expect from Pizza Hut, and I will be thinking twice before ordering again.
Tejas D — Google review
Popped in at 9.45pm on Saturday night and was warmly greeted by the young lady who was very helpful. Great deal of any pizza any size for £7.99. Food was quick to arrive, freshly cooked and lovely. Would definitely drop in again.

I love Pizza hut, no much to say honestly. Service was good same for the pizza. I will let the pictures talk for me😁
The D — Google review
We ordered 2 Sizzler pizzas from pizza hut today and they tasted both different when we tried it. When we called the restaurant, a lady named Alex was extremely rude about the whole situation. She delivered a new pizza in exchange for the old one and then called us saying we ate a few slices from it. I don’t understand how can someone figure out they taste different without eating it. But i think this lady would have some super powers hence according to her we shouldn’t have eaten it and reported it before. She also mentioned that they will never deliver to our address. Also this kind of behaviour is so unprofessional, rude and unwelcoming. No wonder you have such bad reviews on your page. I’m just giving the benefit of the doubt that maybe she might be having a long day. But this is not the way you handle your customers. I am disappointed. This is the worst review I would have given someone but I felt so bad about the whole situation i had to write about it. We used to love this pizza from Pizza hut but reconsidering coming here again.
Pantone P — Google review
Very underwhelming experience - we arrived at 2 to have the lunch buffet, which finishes at 3. The pasta was empty when we arrived and was not filled up again, despite us asking a member of staff and them saying it would be 10 minutes. New pizzas came out frequently, but were barely warm and very greasy. The tables around us were left dirty, the toilets were grubby and the handles were falling off, the place needs some love and attention. I tried to find a waitress and for a good 10 minutes all the staff had disappeared, leaving a long queue of people waiting to be seated at the door. The only good thing was that you get a discount if you have a blue light card.

Frozen food store
Iceland Supermarket Canterbury is a popular chain offering discounted frozen packaged foods and dry groceries. Customers praise its good selection, amazing prices, and the convenience of finding everything from fresh produce to toiletries. Many find the quality of their own brand superior to bigger brands. While some may criticize it, others see it as an effective alternative for quick shopping trips if you know what you want and choose the right time to visit.
Small but with all your favourites who could go wrong
Paul W — Google review
The supermarket itself was fine, and I could stock up on food due to their deals, so I won't need to go for a while. It's getting there and out that I found difficult because I had to walk. I wish they had a location in the city centre
Hannah N — Google review
Small but handy supermarket for grabbing last minute essentials. Aisles are quite small and tight and there isn’t the biggest selection of items but it does the job. Car park outside for plenty of cars

Ordered online, given time of delivery. Waited and waited. No Delivery arrived, phoned before they closed and got no answer. Lack of customer service

Much maligned but I find them an effective alternative to a full shopping experience if you know what you want and you chose the right time it's a breeze! I took an able bodied mate with me to load the trolley got 24 50ml bottles of water for £3.75 brilliant value. And lots of iced lollies for my mum! She goes through them at a rate of knots!

Gonna be going here Friday and gonna get as much as I can and save money. Hopefully it comes under £20 😅😅😅
Christopher B — Google review
Great store, good selection at amazing prices! I use it rather than going to the bigger local supermarket. It largely has nearly everything needed from fresh veg to toiletries not to mention the frozen foods. I have found that the quality of their own brand is better even than some of the big brands. Recommend this particular store every time.

Tesco Express in Canterbury is a convenient spot to grab a quick meal, with pre-made sandwiches being a favorite choice. While the store offers good deals, it can be on the pricier side. Some customers have noted that additional staff support would improve the self-service tills. Despite this, many enjoy visiting this Tesco Express as it also serves as a pleasant walking destination with plenty of items to browse and purchase if desired.
Shannon who helped us today with a third party issue we were pushed pillar to post but she went above and beyond to proved the best customer service she could to some what resolve the situation. We couldn't be more grateful. Tesco needs more people like Shannon

Certainly not the atmosphere for a weekly shop (why would you with free parking and cheaper at nearby Sainsbury's & Aldi) but top notch for chilled beer & a bite on a summer's day if you don't do £20 at the many admittedly charming pubs. Prefer a tenner in my pocket in fine weather!

Bought a box with cherries today but more than half of the box went to the bin because the cherries were already rotten. Never again!
Rosário S — Google review
The biggest disappointment for me about this store is thar it turned from a Tesco Metro to a Tesco Express. This meant that all the prices would go up automatically due to the fact it's changed from a Metro to an Express which there is already one of in New Dover Road. Shame.

Loveliest staff ever! Especially Maria, Tina, Claire, Sarah and Gemma. ❤️
