Nestled in the heart of Gorey, County Wexford, One Hundred Degrees Restaurant and Wine Bar offers a delightful culinary experience that beautifully blends Irish and European flavors. With a menu that features an array of dishes, including hearty chowder and succulent duck, this charming eatery caters to diverse palates. The inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for both casual dining and special occasions.
Fantastic restaurant with fine dining quality food but a relaxed atmosphere. The prices are upmarket so prepare to pay more than average, but the plating is very much worth the price. I had the deer main course which was absolutely unbelievable, my partner had the the cod which was also fantastic. We had soup & the mushroom raviolo to start and loved both of them too. We were part of a group celebrating a birthday and the staff accommodated us so so well.

We booked a late lunch/early dinner as Bridal Shower celebrations. From start to finish, the team were so helpful, patient and attentive, despite being a large group of 16. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had. Cannot wait to visit again
Helen L — Google review
We came here with a group of friends during our Ireland roadtrip and this dinner was one of our highlights! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were amazing. We had about 7 different courses each with unique flavors and ingredients. We loved all of them! The restaurant itself is super cozy and you can tell the decoration has just as much love in it as the food. I would definitely come back the next time I’m in Ireland!
Sina K — Google review
We had such a lovely night here with our parents and our 1 year old. The serving staff were so kind and engaging with our baby. The kitchen. Staff amazing when we asked for a steak to be cooked slightly longer. The monkfish one of the best dishes I've had in such a long time. Amazing experience, highly recommend
Sarah B — Google review
A lovely gem of a restaurant with excellent food and service. The only fault was it was quite loud, but that depends on the customers . Apart from that, the food was outstanding, especially the monkfish starter, which should be a main course it's so good ..
J G — Google review
Amazing establishment, great value for money ratio. You can tell how much care is being put in every aspect. Also, great service!
Stägefest — Google review
Was there last Saturday evening with a friend. As we had booked our table no waiting whatsoever Food was wonderful, presentation superb. The service has always was excellent. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Superb evening. For a more intimate setting make a reservation upstairs.
Christine G — Google review
I went for dinner with my partner and would be too long to explain the whole experience. Food was amazing, from taste, texture, presentation all served on nice plate. Nice menu and wine menu, service was perfect. You get a different experience and dishes you won't get anywhere else. No salt and pepper on the table, what is a good sign, all food was full of flavour and perfectly seasoned so no need to add anything.

We had a beautiful lunch today - Toasted special Home cooked ham, cheese, onion, tomato, ballymaloe relish with a fantastic fresh salad. We added a portions of onions rings, home made. They were delicious, light and full of flavour, a good size portion too. Andrew who served us was very friendly and a lovely young man who looked after us so well. Definitely recommend for lunch and dinner. Lunch is also great to share here. 10/10
Tara M — Google review
First time eating there since the new management took over. We ordered the steak, which costs €34. Portion size was tiny and the tiny little jug of sauce was enough to barely cover the steak. The other main course was their 'special'. The only thing special about it was the price! €18.50 for a tiny lump of pork and a bit of veg. We had a mash served in a metallic dish. When we got to the bottom of this metallic dish, we found rust inside the dish. Obviously we had already eaten the mash before finding the rust. When we said it to the barman, who was serving us our food, he said that the rust looked like it had been there a long time. We sat there for about 20 minutes more while we finished our drinks. No staff member came near us. When I was paying the bill, as we we're leaving I asked the barman about the rust and he informed me that the chef said that this was completely normal for these types of dishes to rust like that and not to worry. I don't think I'll ever eat from there ever again. Which is a shame because the food used to be great there with the previous owners.

food was incredible, i believe it was some sundried tomato pasta situation? got sat and served very quickly, the tunes were insane, i cant even lie, but was lovely overall. only complaint is a lack of half portions, and a lack of a cocktail menu. bar was open though, so drink situation was sorted. would definitely recommend
Lena — Google review
Food was great - we tried a variety of apps: Fried Brie, chicken wings, pulled pork bao buns, and duck veggie spring rolls. Each one unique and delicious. The servers were kind and helpful. Thanks to Paddy for great service!

Leandra bartender at hand quick polite service. When asking about the food Leandra was very friendly and affectionate attentive. Great people skills. Approachable when we couldn’t decide on our last beverage Leandra came across an alternative which we very enjoyed. Will be back in the future the meal was delicious
Donna R — Google review
So impressed with this place, would highly recommend. Will definitely be back. Delicious food. We got the pork special with Black pudding&veg mash, also got the sweet and sour stir fry - massive portion. I could only make a dent in half of it. 2 main courses and drinks for just over 40quid.
Valerie R — Google review
The recent renovations have really freshened up the place. It feels brighter, more modern, and even more welcoming. The staff were fantastic from start to finish: warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. I had the prawn and chorizo pasta, and it was absolutely delicious. Packed with flavour and served in a very generous portion, so much so I had to take the rest home (no complaints there!). Between the great atmosphere, excellent service, and standout food, Katie Daly’s is definitely a spot I’ll be returning to soon. Highly recommended!
Brendan O — Google review
I’ve been to Katie Daly’s several times over the years, but sadly, it’s gone seriously downhill — possibly due to new management. My recent visit was nothing short of frustrating. The service was painfully slow and completely inattentive. We were left waiting far too long to be acknowledged, and when someone finally came over, the staff were rude, abrupt, and clearly uninterested in offering even basic hospitality. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. The food was another disappointment. My meal arrived undercooked, and when I politely asked for it to be cooked a bit more, the chef sent it back out exactly the same — along with a message blaming the “spices” for the issue. That explanation made no sense and felt like an excuse rather than any real attempt to address the problem. To top it off, the food is overpriced for what you get — especially when the quality and service are this poor. Katie Daly’s used to be a reliable option in Gorey, but I won’t be returning unless there are major changes. A very disappointing experience from start to finish.

7 people in our group, including a child. We went for a 40th birthday dinner. Honestly, I could not fault anything. Excellent service 5 star food even brought a sparkler out for the birthday girl, which was a lovely touch. Beef and Guinness pie was the best I've had. Would definitely recommend it here for any occasion or even just dinner for no reason.
Niall F — Google review
Very attentive and friendly staff although it was very, very busy. My steak was fantastic, the pulled pork burger of my wife too, the seafood tagliatelle of may mother in law came in her eyes with too much sauce, it was a bit like a soup with pasta. My son had the chicken wings and he missed the taste of chicken because it was to spicy. The friendly waitress took it off the bill - we appreciated this service. All in all I would recommend this place.
Jens G — Google review
A great restaurant on North Main Street in Gorey. Great service from two very attentive and welcoming staff members. Food was delicious, I had the chicken wings as a starter with sriracha mayo, and a pizza as the main, both were absolutely delicious. I couldn’t finish the pizza and was asked if I wanted to take it away and it came boxed up ready to go. I also tried three beers from a small local brewery called the Brew Brothers, really good. I cannot praise the Kitchen @ Gorey high enough.

Had fish and chips, overall was OK but Traditional is usually better. POSSIBLY pizzas there a re good, since the oven where they bake pizzas looks very promising

There aren't enough words to describe how good it was at The Kitchen. We had the best stake ever, meat was very delicious. Other the stake, all food there is soooo goooood. You just can't pick a favorite when everything is so yummy. Also staff is very kind and friendly, very professional. Ivona and Kristijan took wonderful care about our table and made our dinner worth a while. We are definitely coming back! If you are in Gorey, don't miss this place, you won't regret it!
Ena Š — Google review
We were visiting Gorey for my father's 80th birthday celebration and I'm so glad we chose The Kitchen for our celebration dinner. They were so accommodating for our 18 person booking. We were able to bring our homemade birthday cake which was special. The food they served was absolutely sensational. It's hard to please 10 adults and 8 teenagers but everyone was so happy with every dish, even eating off each other's plates when food envy kicked in. Staff were so friendly and even other dinners joined in when the time came to sing happy birthday. Great atmosphere all around. Thank you!

Very busy popular restaurant.Dined here on 12/08/25.Had pulled pork which was just fine.Only one negative was it was intensely hot in there,to the point of unbearable.

The ambiance is inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy some delicious food. With its central location, it's an ideal spot to unwind while exploring the town of Gorey.
Best café in county Wexford! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The layout inside is so nice. The tables aren't on top of each other everyone has enough room. It's super clean and the food is delicious! Can't wait to go back again. Thank you guys!

This was a nice cafe that we visited in Gorey, it is very well located in the heart of the town. Even though it was very busy on a Saturday we got seated quite quickly with a very short wait. We got strawberry sunrise smoothies which were lovely, a cappuccino, a latte, a ham cheese roll that was okay and a chicken wrap with soup of the day (vegetable)which was good. Service was decent throughout our time there and the food and coffee was okay, it could’ve been a little bit better.
Eoin H — Google review
Always a good experience here. Good coffee, plenty of seating, warm service and tasty treats. Love the scones and the brownie.
Eugenio C — Google review
What an amazing experience at this cafe . Loved the apple crumble so well done and perfectly cuts with the ice cream. The custard slice was yum as well. It was really busy but we were still taken care of by the courteous staff.

As a service engineer who travels the country. Sometimes life on the road can hand you a gem. The book Cafe is one of those times. Fabulous bacon, light pancakes, and real Canadian maple syrup. Not that golden syrup rubbish, that so many other establishments try to pass off as maple Syrup. My server Amy, is a bright, charming and attentive host, as we're all the other staff that I observed. If you are passing through Gory. STOP, do yourself a favour. Call in to wonderful food, served by the friendliest of staff. In the most inviting atmosphere. 👍🏻
Martin C — Google review
Absolute robbery asked for scrambled egg bacon toast and tea. Which i thought when charged 12.90 was for all. Charged individually for everything.6.90 for scrambled egg. 6.00 for tea and toast. only realised when I got no bacon and was approached with card machine for payment of God only knows what for two pieces of bacon. Went to get knife and fork when I asked was there a charge for those her arrogant answer was Unfortunately No...No wonder tourists are complaining. Rip of Ireland Part 2. Avoid

We were in Gorey for the day and decided to go for breakfast and it was delicious. I got the vegan bap which in itself is a rarity in Ireland, there's such few places doing vegan or vegetarian options so that was great and really gorgeous and the rest of my party picked things off the single menu so they could mix and match things and were very happy. Our server Matt was amazingly helpful and nice and Shannon behind the take away cake area was super also the guy who sat us down, I didn't catch his name but all in all I was super impressed. You won't be disappointed

Cafe
Nestled in the charming town of Wexford, Ireland, the Hungry Bear Cafe/Restaurant is a delightful haven for food lovers. This inviting spot boasts an impressive selection of delectable offerings that are sure to satisfy any palate. From freshly baked bread and pastries to scrumptious sandwiches and vibrant salads, there's something for everyone here. During my recent visit for lunch, I encountered a minor hiccup with my order due to a kitchen glitch.
Friendly neighbourhood café, we’ve been here for both breakfast and lunch. The food is really nice and with good variation, though I’m not sure if my porridge came with stewed apples (as advertised on the menu), and my friend found the cowboy skillet a bit too cheesy for his preference. Staff is very friendly and service was quick although we visited at what seemed like busy times. Prices are good value for the portions you get. Dessert/cake selection looks yummy though we’ve always been too full to try it.
Vy N — Google review
We went for breakfast this morning 26/04/25 on the way to a Hurling match in Wexford and stopped at the Hungry Bear in Gorey. Got a seat and ordered within 10 minutes. Full Irish and a mini Irish. The waitress was great and we were served within 10 minutes. Everything on our plates was perfect hot and not dried out like sometimes happens with pre perpaired bacon or sausages. The bread both brown and white were absolutely lovely. We have tried a good few places around the country for breakfast and the Hungry Bear is definitely right there with the very best we have had top maks. 10 /10
Daniel C — Google review
Go for the great coffee, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere, stay for the pancakes. Probably the best pancakes I've ever had on my life. And inch or so thick, fluffy, flavorful and loaded with fruits and whipped cream. You won't leave hungry! Also recommend the Breakfast Potato Hash with chorizo. Absolutely delicious. A great place in Gorey that welcomes everyone (and their dogs on outdoor patio) and makes you feel like family.
Jay B — Google review
I tried this cute little place in Gorey for breakfast. The breakfast closes at 12. We were a little late, so we tried their lunch. I had fish wrap, which was so fresh and crunchy. I also tried their pancakes, which were oh soooo delicious. They had to be the star of the place. Next was Omelette with goat's cheese and pesto. It was very fluffy and appetising as well. I had the soup of sweet potato and squash. The service was very nice. The staff is really nice and hospitable I would definitely be coming back again.

Cracking spot in the middle of town. Satay salad with grilled chicken was great. They had gluten free options for our celiac daughter 💪 Service was fast and friendly.

Really impressed with The Hungry Bear. Nice atmosphere, attentive staff, great coffee. I got the chicken and chorizo pasta made gluten free, and the other person had the breakfast hash also gluten free. Both were excellent. We'd definitely come back!

Wonderful experience from start to finish at Table forty One. Staff were friendly welcoming, attentive & informative. The food was second to none. We had confit duck & rack of pork, both cooked to perfection by chef Andrew Duncan. I don't normally do reviews but this place is special. Athmosphere was lively yet comfortable & laid back. Prices are spot on for the quality of food & service given, which is rare these days. Well done to all concerned, great work. Thank you.

What a fabulous restaurant! Despite the limited menu I still struggled to decide what dishes I wanted - I wanted them all! We had 3 courses each and every single plate was perfection. My husband chose the signature fillet steak for his main course and it did not disappoint. The smoked bacon jam should be sold in jars! There is a small but excellent wine list too. The quality of food was matched by the service, with Mark expertly looking after every diner on the floor. He was attentive without being intrusive and despite being so busy remained calm and pleasant throughout. The whole experience was wonderful and we will definitely return.

I had one of the best meals I’ve ever had here. Delicious local produce, cooked with care and flair. The lamb rump was as tender as butter. Wonderful atmosphere with excellent staff (Mary & Mark looked after our every need). And the chefs ethos is how all restaurants should be run; top class local ingredients with a focused menu to eliminate waste and keep costs down. This place is simply, one of the best places in Europe.

From the very first bite to the final spoonful, the starter menu and desserts were absolutely exquisite. Every course reflected precision, passion, and perfection — true artistry on a plate. Chef Andy is without a doubt a master of his craft. His dedication, attention to detail, and creativity shine through in every dish. He carries out an incredibly demanding job, yet the results are extraordinary — each plate looked and tasted as though it belonged in a Michelin-starred restaurant. We must also highlight his amazing team — kind, attentive, professional, and always smiling. Their warmth and genuine love for what they do elevated the entire experience even further. Thank you all for this truly wonderful dining experience. We could literally taste the stars in every dish — a perfect harmony of elegance, emotion, and flavor. One thing is certain: this was not just a dinner, it was an unforgettable culinary journey. 🌟✨Tanja & Ivan

Went to Table Forty One on a wet Wednesday evening and glad I did. I was welcomed when I came in, as were a few diners with no reservations who were warmly welcomed. Food was great, as was the restaurant itself. I didn’t realise that it was located above some shops but for me that did not detract from it.

Fabulous little restaurant. The food was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. Exceptional value for money. My only caution is that it's up steep and narrow stairs and is a tad cramped; so will be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues.

Got a very tricky Valentines dinner today. Food was ok, nothing special. Very tricky way to present their Valentines menu, everything written on it except prices. Also the waitress said two meals for 50e not 50e per person. There wasn’t just normal menus but only Valentines menu, well you can guess why. Service was disturbing, I received food and after two minutes that even didnt try it properly waitress approaching if all good. No observation at all asking customers something while having a food in their mouth all the time. Glasses were stink too, obviously no hygiene of drying clothes they use. If there were prices on menus I wouldnt say anything to pay 100e for two average meals, instead I would accept or left the place. I’d even come again later on at least for the honesty but with all this tricky stuff I won’t even pass near the place again. Now I got it why the half of place was empty. Photos are here and you decide if ilthis really worth 50e per meal.

Myself & my partner came for dinner here for the first time a couple of weeks ago. A gin bramble is my favourite drink & I was delighted to see it was on the menu. After having tried the gin brambles here, I can confirm they are the best I have ever tasted & they will live rent free in my head forever 😍 I would highly recommend to try one! I got the beef cheek croquette, the burger & the pina colada cheesecake for my dinner. The course that impressed me most was definitely the cheesecake. It is very hard to find a decent cheesecake in bars or restaurants. The burger was really nice, but also absolutely so filling. I could not finish it 🙈😂 there is SO much meat in it! The staff are very friendly & customer service is excellent. I want to say a particular thank you to both Karen & Sam who looked after us. A lovely evening was well spent here & I can’t wait to come back.

Fantastic restaurant in Gorey. 4 of us were staying in the town on a golf trip and visited Raspberry on a Wednesday evening. Lovely ambience in the restaurant which was probably around half full. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We ate of 2 course set menu which has plenty of options for everyone. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back.

Dinner for 4 on Friday 30th May was 5 star experience, the food, cocktails, service, atmosphere and decor were perfect in every way. My first dining experience there but will be returning and would highly recommend. I had the goats cheese parfait which looked like a plate of art and tasted even better. My main was the Monkfish and Prawn Massaman Curry which again was bursting with flavour and cooked beautifully. I had a seasonal cocktail which not only tasted divine but looked amazing. My 3 friends also raved about all of their dishes. Nothing but compliments from us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I forgot to click confirm on the booking. Receptionist made an unnecessarily big deal of getting us a table even though there were plenty of empty tables. Bad attitude won’t be back. Food strange mix, service was average and priced an above quality. Real. Little to no choice on the menu.

Great food, even brought home then leftovers and had them that evening. Americano pizza is lovely, will be getting again. My family and I had a great meal here, will definitely be back.

Good food. Staff could give a little bit more time to enjoy. The dishes were literally 2 min on the table and we were asked is everything ok. Then, only one of us finished but the plate was taken away. A table should be cleaned after everyone is finished with their meal. Otherwise all good.

Stifling heat inside, warm outside, asked to be moved to other side of restaurant and was accepted without problem. Doors and windows open but heat uncomfortable. Service good food standard, nothing special. Prices ok

Me and my partner came here last night with our two year old and I have to say the food was absolutely outstanding! I got the house pasta with chicken and prawns and I think it was the nicest pasta I’ve ever had! Perfect portion sizes, staff very attentive, reasonable pricing and all round great atmosphere will definitely be back soon! :)

Have been going to Eco now for a number of years n still want to back for more. Great food at reasonable prices n very friendly staff. Quite popular so recommend booking in advance 👍 Recently retuned to zEco n have to admit despite being under new management the standards are still the same - good food at competitive prices. Friendly staff and fairly quick service. They also have a very good Take Out menu with most items on dine in menu available to take out. Seem to be kid friendly as there was quite a few kids of various sges during recent visit. Again definitely recommend n will go again in futue 👍

Need to amend menu, 2 dishes ordered supposed to be served with sticky rice but both came with plain basmati rice which didn't compliment the dishes, other dishes quite nice

If you're looking for an elegant, rustic restaurant with delicious food, The Duck Terrace is the place to go. With charming courtyard buildings and a bright glasshouse, it's both stylish and relaxed - perfect for a lazy summer day. You can enjoy set lunch menus of two courses or order from the à la carte menu.
Fantastic Night at The Duck in Marlfield House The setting is gorgeous—cozy vibes with a nice mix of rustic and chic. From the get-go, we knew we were in for a treat. The food was absolutely delicious. The fillet steak was perfectly cooked, and the fish dish was fresh and full of flavor. The chips were crispy, and the sides rounded everything off nicely. Cocktails were a highlight too—I had the ‘Slutty Duck,’ and it was as tasty as it was fun to say! The service was friendly and quick—almost too quick, if I’m being picky. It would’ve been nice to have a bit more time to chill between courses, but it didn’t take away from a lovely evening. All in all, a fantastic spot for dinner and drinks. We’ll definitely be back! Rating: 5/5

We had a fantastic evening at The Duck Restaurant. The cuisine was excellent — beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and clearly crafted with care. It’s very much a high-end dining experience, with a strong and varied wine selection to match the menu. The setting itself feels special and makes for an ideal spot to celebrate an occasion. Highly recommended if you’re looking for top-quality food and atmosphere. We will be back !

Celebrated our daughter's First Communion at the Duck, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The surroundings were absolutely lovely — elegant yet relaxed, with a charming ambiance that made the occasion feel even more special. We enjoyed a beautifully presented two-course meal at €37 per head, and it was excellent value. The food was delicious, with fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation evident in every bite. Everyone at the table was impressed! A special mention must go to our waiter, who was exceptional throughout the afternoon. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind — he made sure everything ran smoothly and added a personal touch that really stood out. All in all, it was a memorable day made even better by such a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

Beautiful lunch at the duck restaurant today. Fantastic service and delicious food. Unfortunately it was spilling rain when we were leaving so didn't get to enjoy the garden and surrounding area. But we will be back.
Helen D — Google review
The duck dish was not good, lacked presentation and very dry. Service needs to improve and make guests feel welcomed rather than treating them as inconvenience. Restaurant decor and garden was very nice.

We had a delightful meal here on Sunday 29/06/25, it was a very warm day so we opted for a table on the terrace in the shade. Paul the waiter was very attentive and quick with a joke which I really appreciated. We had some lovely starters, a lovely prawn dish and a beetroot salad for the wife. for mains I went for a cod curry which I have to say was delicious as was the wife's choice of pork. The service was excellent and the ambience was just perfect. Will definitely visit again soon. Pat & Val

Went for lunch it was not overly busy. Food was very good but service left a lot to be desired.asked for portion of chips never arrived. Ordered 3 desserts 2 arrived asked 3 times for 3rd dessert it finally arrived when other 2 desserts were long finished. Pity about the service as this was our 2nd time to dine here

We had a party of 4 adults tonight and to be honest not impressed with the food quality and especially presentation for a high quality restaurant. Starters very slow to be presented as we were on a time, ordered and 30 mins later arrived as we had a time frame of two hours,Main course all delivered on cold plates for Lamb and Filet steaks that we sent back even the vegetables were tepid and the sauces that were expected did not arrive but was later corrected To be honest tonight’s experience 2/10 don’t think we will rush back

Nestled on the bustling main street of Gorey, The Bistro stands out as a must-visit destination for food lovers. Renowned for its exceptional service and warm hospitality, this restaurant specializes in delectable seafood and juicy steaks. Diners can indulge in dishes like mouthwatering sea bass and garlic prawns, complemented by an impressive wine selection. The inviting atmosphere is bright and modern, making it a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring.
Enjoyed a delightful dinner date with my husband and was charmed by the handwritten menu. The staff was exceptionally attentive. I opted for the lobster thermidor, while he chose the steak. Despite the indulgent lobster, the standout for me was surprisingly the side potatoes – the best I've ever had. The restaurant offers a nice selection of wines, and we were fortunate to be seated in a cosy corner that afforded us some privacy. Highly recommended for a wonderful dining experience!

DISAPPOINTED Bistro / Cafe styled Restaurant Food was reasonably good but very small main portions French Onion soup and Prawns 🍤 to start Monkfish and Scallops for mains €34 each very small portions Side of vegetable were mushy Cheese platter was good Service was good Toilets very clean Disappointing experience €155 I would not return
James F — Google review
Located on Goreys main street, The Bistro is easily located, inside is bright and modern and very well spaced. The staff are welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. Service was appropriately timed and the specials listed with confidence. On serving the wine both a taste and the label show were perfectly executed. For the starter I had the goats cheese tartlet with rocket and balsamic. My partner had the smoked fish with mini toasts. Both portions were generous and incredibly flavourful. For the main I ordered lamb shank, with creamy mash and seasonal green vegetables; she ordered the scallops and king prawns in chili sauce with the rosemary and garlic potatoes. The lamb was perfectly cooked and fell from the bone with no effort at all. The mash was as promised very creamy and smooth, and the brandy jus both rich and flavourful. The scallops were deliciously tender with just the right amount of bite in the sauce, the portion of rosemary potatoes was incredibly generous, and perfectly crunchy if not a touch light on the rosemary and garlic. Neither of us ordered dessert having been sufficiently stuffed, however the dessert menu seemed very appealing and a nice surprise to see humble classics like rhubarb crumble on the list. Fantastic food, fantastic service and excellent fair pricing.

Wow! Absolutely fantastic. We were super lucky to be able to come in as a walk in on a Friday. Best meal I have had while traveling. If you're ever in Gorey, make sure to stop by IPOH Restaurant for a delightful culinary experience! This gem has been a favorite among locals for years, known for its consistently delicious Asian cuisine. While the service may have had some hiccups recently—likely due to new staff—the overall atmosphere remains warm and inviting. Diners rave about the generous portions and great value, making it an excellent choice for both takeout and dining in.
absolutely divine… got sat and served so unbelievably quickly, and the food was so good. i got the sweet sweet chicken and the portion sizes are extortionate, to say the least. staff was super friendly, and i love the interior decor. wonderful spot, definitely recommend :)

What a beautiful restaurant the food was plentiful and absolutely delicious and the restaurant itself is so nice we were the only 2 diners there which was such a shame as it made for no buzz or atmosphere but it was a Sunday night so I'm guessing that Friday and Saturday would be busier. The owner Yoko came out to chat with us and then brought us over two baby Guinness on the house. The value was amazing €25.95 for any starter and any main course on the menu and a drink of your choice. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be back again soon I hope.

Love this place so much. The food is amazing. I really like their duck in plum sauce and their honey ribs. However missus wasn’t very happy with her charsiu, not authentic enough for her but it still tastes great and she loved the ribs. The staff are very nice and friendly too. And one of the girl took our leftovers and put them into takeaway boxes which was very thoughtful. She went above and beyond and displayed excellent service.

Super nice Chinese restaurant near Gorey centrum as you come to Gorey when Amber Springs is on the right-hand side , just a minute or so later in an industrial estate. Food is glorious, and you can choose between a set menu for 25 per person or normal price per dish. Very nice place, and they pay attention to you - and to the food. I would highly recommend anyone coming to Gorey to go there for sheer enjoyment and value for money.

We regularly get takeaways and dine in the IPOH. The sweet n sour sauce is lovely and sweet on the mixed vegetables just how I like it! The chips go well with it. The vegetables spring rolls are lovely too in the sweet chilli sauce. Joe loves the spicy soup and chicken chop suey for the main. He loves chicken.

I ordered food from here last night (chicken wings, spice bag, and king prawn). The taste was just average, nothing special. But within a few hours I became extremely sick — vomiting and severe diarrhea starting around 3 AM. It was a horrible experience and clearly points to food safety issues. I would strongly advise caution when ordering from this place. The experience was not only disappointing but also dangerous to my health.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway/surprise proposal. The staff were exceptionally helpful and service was top notch. We dined in both restaurants and food was delicious, especially the conservatory for dinner. Breakfast was fantastic also. All in all it was a 5-star stay. Special thanks to Matthew who went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect stay.
Shane H — Google review
Had previously given Marlfield a good review after our stay but recently my partners parents visited for afternoon tea using the gift voucher we purchased for them at Christmas. They were charged €6 extra when we had already paid in full for the tea?! If a gift voucher is purchased as a gift at the time of purchase they should honour that price. They were told the price of the tea had gone up since we purchased the voucher in December. This is very unprofessional and not classy at all for a luxury hotel.
Jade K — Google review
There aren’t enough stars available to give to this hotel and besides the fact that the rooms and house is so obviously beautiful, it was the team that deserve the credit for the perfect experience. Dawn and Matthew who were front of house all day were not only attentive and professional, but beautiful people. I would stay in Marlfield again just for the two of them. Not forgetting Paul who was a 20/10 barman making perfect drinks and being all round good craic. Fantastic hotel. Worth every penny.

I absolutely love shooting wedding here at Marlfield, the venue is so unique, exclusive and full of character. The gardens have such a vast array of trees and plants and a stunning view of the house, you could spend hours shooting here. The staff are so courteous and kind, especially the wedding planner Dawn. Highly recommend Marlfield for your wedding.

We have visited Marlfield for an overnight stay, for lunch at the Duck and we were recently lucky enough to have our wedding at Marlfield house. We highly recommend Marlfield for all of the above. Marlfield is a special place, spend just a few minutes there and you will understand. There is an atmosphere of calm and relaxation. The staff are so friendly, kind and warm. Dawn, the wedding coordinator, was the making of the day. Her organisation, warmth and kindness meant we could enjoy the day as our guests were so well looked after. The food is exceptional, many of our seasoned wedding attendee guests telling us it was the nicest food they’ve had at a wedding. We are already looking forward to returning to Marlfield as guests (and hopefully as wedding guests!)

Nestled within the picturesque grounds of Amber Springs Hotel, Farina Restaurant is a delightful Italian eatery that truly stands out in Gorey. This hidden gem offers an array of authentic dishes, including some of the best wood-fired pizzas you'll find in Ireland. Diners rave about the delicious carbonara and bolognese, both bursting with flavor and expertly seasoned to perfection. The restaurant prides itself on accommodating various dietary preferences, ensuring everyone can enjoy their meal without compromise.
Myself and my partner went for dinner this evening and I have to say I was blown away as was she! Carbonara was delicious and no issue with having no pancetta as she is vegetarian and the bolognese was to die for. Really authentic dishes and flavours & the seasoning was perfect. The service was fantastic also we were running to be fair very late due to unfavourable conditions but they were really understanding about it. Will be back soon to try the pizzas they look and sound delicious! I also can’t get over the value— both main courses were only €16.95!

Horrific. Truly. Cold bleak setting that feels really unwelcoming and cheap. Food was utterly tasteless and we left as soon as we could. Wont be eating on site for the rest of our stay.

Lovely Extremely mannerly staff that was so nice even under pressure. Delicious pizza that was no problem to change toppings a bit. Crispy tasty doe , fresh ingredients- I recommend very highly. Especially as ex chef. It’s so hard to find quality food and super service. This place has both . Thank you 🙏
Mag H — Google review
The staff were lovely and helpful. The food not so much. Our starter was OK but the mains were badly done. We had pasta dishes and one had so much water in it, it was just red water with the ravioli in it. It was meant to have cheese in it, there was none. The other pasta dish was sitting in a pool of oil. The chips, a bowl of bits and half of them were raw. We saw pizzas coming out for the other diners and they looked good but pasta a definite no no! They also didn't have some of the items to make up the desserts, there were only 4 on the menu. The place was full of kids so not ideal if you want to have a conversation with someone, hard to hear. It's a place that we will definitely not be back to and will not recommend to friends. It needs an overhaul and new chefs for sure.
Mandy H — Google review
We got 3 kid pizzas 3 chips an adult pizza and carbonara. To start with the menu online is very different than in the restaurant. Almost everything that we had picked online they didn’t have on the menu. When I mentioned this to the server she said they change there menu every 3 months or so but the menus that we where given looked years old, tattered and torn. The special for the kids menu online is also not available in the restaurant as well as the kids carbonara. The brisket pizza has completely different toppings on their menu as a pose to what they have online. The servers payed no attention to our table, at no point through the dinner did they approach to see if we needed anything even after I had to try grab them twice for condiments. Our table by the end was full of empty glasses and pizza boards and not cleared even after they took our dessert orders and walked away. We had to ask them to remove them as the they gave us our deserts. We were a party of 5 placed at a table for 4. We had visited this resultant 3 years ago and it was amazing. While the carbonara was beautiful the pizzas seemed reheated. Our order arrived at our table in less than 10 minutes and the pizzas looked and tasted like they were prepped as margaritas and when toppings are ordered they place them on top and reheat the pizza. None of the topping had any kind of crisp to them as they should if they were cooked fresh with the pizza. Safe to say we will not be returning on our next visit to the amber springs hotel.

Nestled in the heart of Gorey on the main street, French’s is a quintessential traditional Irish pub that has been a beloved fixture since around 1775. This charming establishment exudes an old-world ambiance, making it feel like stepping back in time. Known for its lively Thursday night music sessions, it draws both locals and visitors alike who come to enjoy the friendly atmosphere and savor a fantastic pint of Guinness.
It's a well known traditional Irish bar in Gorey main street. Always packed for the Thursday night traditional music session. Friendly, pleasant atmosphere. Could do with a deep clean.

Lovely bar. Good atmosphere and people there. Plus the stout is decent too.
Edwin F — Google review
A cost old Irish pub full of quirky charm and character, and of course stellar Guinness - well worth a visit.
Cathal M — Google review
I asked to be taken to a traditional Irish pub, and that’s exactly where I was taken! Warm and welcoming atmosphere, will definitely be back.
Zoë V — Google review
A real little gem of an old style irish pub. The atmosphere was like walking back in time.... Fantastic pint of Guinness as well. The only downside that I would suggest is maybe a little bit of repair work to some walls in the bar, holes and a lot dirt showing. I know this kind of adds to the character of the place but if repaired, it wouldn't effect the it much.

Great pint of Guinness. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Old fashioned pub ,used by locals and visitors. No food

A throw back to the old style pub, some could say it needs a Facelift but sometimes things are best left alone.had a nice relaxing Sunday morning pint.great Guinness ☺️. good big smoking area also.

Been here many times but recently got one of the most questionable services I've never expected from this place, since they usually deliver. Employee was all over the shop. Took about 10 mins to process 2 drinks. Got the order wrong and had to cut the cup open to redo. Tried to reseal but of course it won't work because the cup was cut into and had the plastic lid bits on the side that's used as the base for the seal, got told "it's a bit loose". Had to make the suggestion of just putting the order in another cup for it to seal properly, since it's spilling all over. Got offered a third straw when I already had two given, for the two drinks, I ordered. It's a bit concerning; the inattention to detail on two simple orders. Moreover, got repeatedly told "sorry, I'm all over the place". I was the only order there, save for another lady that was waiting for about 2 mins after I got my order, literally ZERO pressure other than me waiting. What more if there's 10 people in line. I'd suggest that Magic Bubble train their staff better. Better yet, check in on them if they're sound to work, not come in and give poor quality service if they're not feeling their 100%. Other than that, pretty bog standard drinks, expected from a bubble tea place. Not much flair or wow factor. Priced a little high but to be expected from being inside a shopping center. Genuine "wow factor" here being specialists in dessert offerings, like Nana's tea which offers seasonal drinks or Gino's which offer better gelato. I'm not trying to be mean for the sake of leaving a bad review, I'm saying I've had better for the price.

Probably best and most consistently good coffee in Gorey. Staff are always the right level of talkative and very friendly. The town is lucky to have a place like this. Can’t speak to the food here but highly recommend the place for a coffee.

I stopped by for my evening cuppa and ordered a flat white. The coffee was robust, with the perfect milk-to-coffee ratio. I loved the customized cups, which added a personal touch to the experience. The ambiance is minimalistic and cozy, making it a great spot to relax. The staff were absolutely delightful, enhancing the overall experience. They also offered a variety of cakes and pastries, all of which looked incredibly delectable. This place is definitely a must-try.

Nice little coffee shop. There are a selection of pastries/cakes at the counter but not many food options, there are two sandwiches available and neither are vegetarian, one is 3 meat focaccia and the other chicken curry roll. They also have an Açaí bowl which is what I had and it was nice. My husband had the chicken curry roll and a latte and both were nice. Staff were friendly.

Fast food restaurant
King Cod is a quick bites restaurant located on John Street in Gorey, Ireland. The place offers fast food and is known for its friendly staff and efficient service. While the atmosphere depends on the company, the staff are described as great and always up for a bit of banter. Customers have praised the establishment for getting their orders right, despite having fussy eaters among them. However, some have noted that there might be delays in receiving orders during busy times.
Traditional chipper family owned for many years now always good food and good service always polite and friendly staff
John H — Google review
Not the best fresh cod I’ve ever had. They can’t even bother to put salt and vinegar on. Sachets were thrown in the bag.
Garry B — Google review
Ordered a smoked cod and chips, it was my mothers favourite and because it was her anniversary I decided to get that. Then you get home and find it's a fresh cod not a smoked one. And that after waiting 25 minutes... and no, I wasn't planning on driving the 5 miles back to Gorey to complain. Its not rocket science or brain surgery.
Jean D — Google review
Shouldn't be taking phone in collection orders if you can't handle a handful of walk in patrons. Waiting 20 minutes for 2 bags of chips..... Eh?

Stopped in for some grub as I was driving all evening and it was late and I hadn't eaten any dinner. Nice takeaway, I got in just before closing and staff were friendly, efficient and busy. Premises was clean. A handful of customers were in and out whilst I was there. Parking is on street, quiet at the time, probably harder to get in day time or evening. Food was good and service quick, I had chips and battered sausage with strawberry milkshake and it was tasty. Will return again.
Justin W — Google review
Loved king cod never had any problems over the years until the last 2 weeks.. my order was wrong last week (received a battered sausage instead of a bag of chips) I was polite on the phone as these things happen and I appreciate how busy they are 1st time I ever had a problem.. I was very promptly helped and my correct order was delivered.. this week I asked for chips (I order the exact same thing every time) my friend was a witness… I rang and I was yelled at down the phone ‘no you did not order chips!.. I said I did and was yelled over saying ‘no you did not You were the same last week’ I was appalled.. why would I make up getting an order wrong twice when I have ordered over 50+ orders over the years and never a bad word said. What I was offered first was ordering a bag of chips but I would had to pay the delivery fee again and then after another phone call I got a ‘sorry for the misunderstanding and was offered a bag of chips (which I would have course have paid for) with free delivery… i refused.. why couldn’t I get that response the first time? Disgusting customer service.. I’m very shocked because they are usually lovely

If you're in Gorey and craving a delicious bite, look no further than Mallorca's Fast Food. This gem stands out for its freshly made chips, prepared right when you order them—an experience that’s hard to find elsewhere in Ireland! The atmosphere is welcoming and clean, with friendly staff who make your visit even more enjoyable. Many patrons rave about the quality of the food, especially the tasty chips that have become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
For a fast food place the service and the food was equally wonderful. Great spot for something quick and easy to eat in or take out.
Joe R — Google review
We personally love the food, great chicken nuggets but delivery time of over 1 hour consistently when you live half a mile away is bad. Always over 1 hour and often delayed further. Phone skills could be improved some are very nice one or 2 staff not good on phone. Overall we would and do return
John H — Google review
I ordered two chicken wraps and had to return them due to how poorly they were prepared. They were so sloppily assembled that they completely fell apart, making them almost impossible to eat. A wrap, by definition, should be properly wrapped to allow for convenient, mess-free eating — this was a complete mess. When I politely requested a refund, the chef responded in a very unprofessional and rude manner. If someone claims to have been making wraps for 40, they should certainly know how to wrap one properly so that the contents don’t fall out. The whole experience was extremely disappointing — both the food quality and the customer service. I cannot recommend this place based on what I encountered. That was not my first but definitely last time.
Daniel K — Google review
From the service when ordering to the food quality itself 5 stars and more! The lady on the phone was so nice and friendly also the delivery driver was so pleasant , the food was absolutely gorgeous.Everything was so FRESH. The chips where so tasty , nicest iv tasted. 👌🏽

Janet H — Google review
I've had more than one horrible experience here. Apart from seeing one of the workers actually picking chips from a fresh batch and eating them, the service is consistently awful. The staff is mostly slow, confused and indifferent. My order was so slow it took up most of my lunch break, I cancelled it and went across the road. Would not recommend, doesn't compare to King Cod for service and quality. Can't give zero or minus stars. Won't be returning.
