It is strategically located next to the road so it's easy to find. There was benches where you can sit outside, just next to the window so you can enjoy the sun. But outside there were no tables. Inside is cozy with large glass windows so it's also sunny and bright. The drinks are very good, nothing extraordinary, just like in your usual reliable, comfortable cafe where you can have a good cup of coffee or tea while readint your book or newspaper, chatting with your friends or working with your laptop.

To me, this is the best coffee experience in Antwerp (and beyond). Not only do they serve some of the best coffee town (and since competition is strong, this says a lot), but it is by far the cosiest place. A very welcoming space and ever so friendly baristas (but don't call m that). It can get busy, but these well trained hosts don't make you wait, and yet no compromise to the quality of the goods. The rough and low key interior (i do miss the sofa's comfy sofa's a bit), make it a low threshold neighbourhood meeting place rather than a must see hipster hot spot. A wide variety of clientele and a chatty, almost pub like atmosphore around the bar make feel welcome as you are.

If you don't have a Belgian bank account, you have to pay in cash here, which is a bit annoying. Apart from that, it's a very cool café. The coffee tastes great, as do the lemonades and the staff are very helpful. They also play great music here. We really enjoyed hanging out for a few hours here on the internet.

If you want good coffee in a super relaxing atmosphere then try Normo. If you have kids, even better. The place encourages kids to play together in an area full of toys and interactive games. Well worth a try.

One of the best coffee I had. It has outside area next to the street and large inside with comfortable sittings. You need to order and pay at the entrance and there is no table service. But one of the only places that offers water in Antwerp for free. The only one actually that I know. Also at the exit there is jar of cookies to grab for free. The service is extremely nice, professionally trained and fast. There have pastries at the counter. Lovely place for a coffee. Definitely will go to my coffee places list.

Excellent coffee! Also the sort of croissant but with the shape of a pain au chocolates (??) was really good. It’s a very big place so you will always find a table and seems a really nice place to work a few hours from. Managed to buy some really nice beans from Kenya. Nice selection of coffee to bring home.

Among Antwerp’s rich coffee scene, Caffènation is definitely one of the leading spots as it’s roasting business supply’s many other cafes in town. This coffee shop is located right at the end of the Sunday market in town, a stone throw away from the main square car park as well. Easy access but away from tourists. When we arrived it’s pretty busy but we were still pretty lucky to get a table overlooking the lower floors. It’s full of happy young to mid age customers enjoying coffee and chat in a colourful relaxing atmosphere. As a roaster, their coffee menu is fairly extensive with nice quality. One of the best tastes offered in town. What I liked most is how their interpretation of the traditional European way of serving coffee. Instead of having biscuits coming with coffee cups, they provide a big jar of yummy biscuits at the water station so when taking water, customers are welcomed to grab a few if they like. I simply couldn’t stop eating the biscuits. This is definitely a spot I’d like to come back to more.

I loved cappuccino in Caffènation they have very good bland of arabica. During the corona they didn’t make any food like sandwiches, they had only some pastry like croissant and pan-chocolate. But I enjoyed this breakfast time anyway! Highly recommend this place if you love coffee ☕️

I had the pleasure of having breakfast here, and it was absolutely delightful! The food was incredibly delicious – fresh ingredients, beautifully presented, and a true treat for the taste buds. The coffee was also a highlight, perfectly brewed and full of flavor. The service was exceptional: super friendly, attentive, and quick – it really made the experience feel special and welcoming. The only minor downside is that the prices are a bit high for the portion sizes. However, this doesn’t take away from the overall fantastic impression, as the quality and ambiance are top-notch.

Really nice place! The atmosphere was excellent. The place is well located, with a terrace that’s perfect for having a drink or eating outside. The staff were very friendly, but a bit slow. As for the food, very good! Especially recommended for breakfast or brunch.

Great location with a very nice vibe and outdoor seating. The Flat White is excellent, rich and well-balanced. They offer hot V60, which is a great addition in comparison with other cafes, however there’s no iced version of the V60 which was a bit disappointing.

Ah, we had a great experience at Kolonel. We walked almost 4kms to come here! And it was totally worth it. The coffee was delicious - we ended up having 2 coffees each! I even bought a bag of Ethiopian beans from them for a friend who owns a coffee shop! The shop is also beautifully designed.

The lady is nice, but she is always working alone, so you have to wait for an hour to get a coffee. Very hard to get served. The vibe is extremely hipster, not cosy in comparison to all the other wonderful coffee bars in Antwerp.

Glad I found this coffee bar, nice relaxed atmosphere here, even a bit hipster-like. The owner is super friendly and the place just looks awesome. I took the iced coffee along an almond croissant and it was very tasty. One big downside is that the non-coffee drinks are served in a plastic cup. I would like to see something more sustainable to be honest. Pretty huge plastic waste. Improve that and it's definitely a hotspot!

Small little coffee shop close to the harbor of Antwerp. No frills, children pencil art on the walls, don't bother coming here for the decor that's for sure. They make a mean cup of flat white, and also have a variety of cold brew drinks too that look interesting. The food selection is very bare minimum - a pie, a pastry and oatmeal. They have a nice magazine and coffee book selection and love their big connect 4 board to play with.

Probably the best coffee and the nicest barista in a 2 km radius around the Mas museum. Another hot spot in the upcoming Eilandje neighborhood.

Great brunch spot in Antwerp with cool vibes and outdoor seating. We came as a group of 6 — staff asked us to stick to 3 dish types to speed up service (smart move). Avocado + eggs was fresh and tasty. The rib-eye special looked great but was way too salty. Nice coffee, friendly staff, and a chill setting in a former butcher’s shop. Worth a stop if you’re nearby. Very fast and friendly service. The OG pancakes were absolutely delicious. The filter coffee is "Andy's" and has an acidic, fruity flavour which I quite liked but may come as a surprise!

A great brunch spot! The food was amazing, really tasty and great value for money. The staff was very nice, but quit busy so you shouldn’t be in a rush when you go here. All in all I would recommend this place

The breakfast burger was very good but pricey. The avocado toast was pretty boring for €9. We also got a cold brew which was okay but it didn’t say on the menu that it was gonna be mango flavored or at least I didn’t see it. The atmosphere was nice.

Had a lunch here with friends. We didn't make a reservation so we had to wait a while which was fine because we could start with a coffee. Once we were seated we had to flag someone after around 15 minutes so we could pass on our order. The iced coffees were really nice. I ordered the avocado toast, where I had to pay an additional 2eu for the egg and 4eu for the bacon. The avocado itself was not really ripe (cutting through it took effort) so that took the enjoyment out of the food a bit. Overall, really nice atmosphere outside and nice coffees, but the food and waiting time could use a little attention.

We had the breakfast burger and meatball sub, with a cappuccino and chain. Both coffees were very good, and the food was delicious as well. However, I feel like the meatball sub needed a bit more sauce, as it was quite dry under the meatballs, and the brekky burger could have been a bit larger, for €14.50. Otherwise, the staff were lovely and the place has a nice atmosphere!

Super friendly staff and amazing service—really appreciate the hospitality! I tried the filter coffee, but it was a bit too watery for my taste. Maybe next time I’ll go for an espresso-based instead. Overall, the place is lovely and worth visiting!

We had espresso and the apple crumble cake here on a Sunday morning. Most cafes are closed on Sunday so this was a nice find. Since most places are closed, it was very busy, but we found 2 seats at the window and the waiter came over promptly to take our order. He was very friendly and spoke perfect English. The prices were reasonable being that most places were closed. The coffee was good and strong, so I recommend some sparkling water along with your order. The apple crumble cake was excellent. It came with citrus zest and a dollop of cream. ToiToiToi was a great place to end our trip in Antwerp.

Matcha latte was amazing, so are the brekkie and the butcher (salted beef sliced from local butchers with spicy pickles and mustard); the brekkie is the perfect combo of egg with tomatoes and avocado cream sauce - classic brunch topic with a modern Mexican twist ;) nice busy but not overwhelming atmosphere on a Sunday and outdoor seatings too. Love to be back again.

I didn’t have time to make food so I decided to stop there on my way to work. I was greeted nicely by the staff and they explained how it worked. It was a hot day, so I went inside as outside all the places under the parasol were taken. It was fresh and cozy inside. And it was quite packed inside as outside but I found a nice place. The menu isn’t the biggest which made choosing easy. I took the first option, and by the price I expected to leave there with a full stomach. Boy was I wrong! 14€ for a something I finished in 3 bites. It wasn’t bad, but I was disappointed. The chai latté was the better part of my lunch. The tables aren’t the best tables to eat on as you do not have total freedom on your movements when u sit on the couch.

Made a quick stop here for a filter coffee and it was bright and fruity. Table service is slow even if it's not busy but at least they are nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Super cosy spot in a great location in Antwerp. Staff was amazing and helpful, and the food was super delicious!! We got the Brekki and Pastrami Buns which came in a fluffy brioche bread - highly recommend. Best coffee we tried in Antwerp! And they have s lot of outside seating for those nice and warm summer days.

Nice coffee, good dessert choices and a beautiful atmosphere. They lack variety in iced coffee options, which makes it difficult to find a suitable option in summer time. The servers are not really friendly, and they don't necessarily look like they care. I try to visit at least once a year, hoping to see improvement, but to no avail.

No better to study or work! I definitely recommend visiting when you have work to get done since it’s very work/study friendly. The atmosphere is very nice and I especially like how there’s plants at every corner. Their drinks and cakes/pastries are fine but to be honest I go for the place rather than the coffee.

For espresso they have one kind of beans which was a slightly on the dark side (not my personal preference). Other than that is a great place with relaxing music

The service ruined the whole experience. We were in a group of 4 friends, everyone ordered coffee and cakes and we were trying to have a talk. It was very difficult to listen what the person next to me was saying because the music was too loud. I went to the attendant and I kindly asked “excuse me, could you please turn the music down a little, it’s really difficult to talk with my friends” and she replied “That’s not the point of this place, and the music is not loud”. She made me feel very bad. And yes, the music was ok at the bar, but the speaker was right on top of our table. So, apparently this coffee place is not a place for hanging up with friends. Eat your cake and shut up. Later on she asked us to leave because they were closing. We were choosing another place to go and 2 minutes later she turned the music very loud to kick us out. What an experience. Service in Belgium is really disapointing.

Great and spacious place perfect for work or study time. There are multiple tables with plugs to charge your phone or laptop. Coffee is great and they have cakes. And also the first place in Antwerpen I been with open wifi and fast Internet. Close to the centre, highly recommend it.

Nice place, however a couple of observations: Environment: very hipster and students vibe kinda loud. Coffee : as for a rostery i was expecting more in the flavor but it was quite plain… In general okay but not a place to enjoy a true coffee experience.

This cafe is near the place I stay and I had my breakfast there. A lot of healthy and tasty food and friendly atmosphere. Really like it!

A very nice cafe for those who like big cafes. I personally like more cozy and small cafes. Cuperus is very big and has a modern architecture, which makes it more elegant and formal. As you can see in the photo, the dessert portions are very small. However, when you run out of tea, you can refill hot water 1 more time, which is a very sweet service. Many students prefer it for studying but I think the environment is a bit distracting, the seating is scattered in various areas and the cash register is right in the middle. So there is a constant flow of customers or service.

The flat white (single origin) was very smooth with a great after taste. They have many pour over options (sadly daily caffeine limit reached).

Nice brunch place... Like the food, it's very filling and must be tasty that I still managed to finish.. staff is kind of friendly.. BUT I NEED TO LET YOU KNOW THE POLICY IS "NO SUGAR" .. great for health conscious people.. I like the sugar rush so yeah no a bit of lack of taste there in my mouth

Excellent batch brew with an interesting flavor profile, the homemade brioche with cheese, bacon, egg and whipped butter was served hot and perfectly soft, cheesy and gooey in the middle and the perfect comfort food on a rainy Sunday morning. The homemade baked goods were very good as well (props for the cannelé de Bordeaux (not pictured, we ate it too fast), which you don’t find often and is not easy to make). Super friendly staff, cozy urban hipster atmosphere.

Specialty coffee in Antwerp? This is the new kid in town. On a quiet corner in the vicinity of the Dageraad place this high quality coffee/lunchbar serves great food, wonderful coffee (espresso, filter, aeropress,....) and sweets. magnificent owners who love what they do. Very knowledgeable and passionate about their products. Only the best. High quality of their own roasted coffee. Be sure to take some coffee with you to brew at home. All in all a must visit when in Antwerp!!

I was looking for a quiet place for a coffee and lunch, found the Rush Cafe. The coffee was outstanding, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Topped off with excellent service, a little piece of coffee paradise in Berchem.

Great coffee and quick service. Like the vibe they're trying to create with the interior and the staff is friendly enough. The place is mostly meant for grabbing a single cup of coffee though and not really a spot to relax and hang out for a while. Great place if you want a proper cup of filter coffee and go on your way straight after that.

Came here to try their single origin and house blend flat white. Single origin… Another cafe in the old town happens to use the same single origin beans, but the outcome was very different. There isn’t a winner, as it comes down to how the baristas extract the characteristics of the beans (and in this case quite differently). My preference would be the other sample that I had at a different place. Having said that it doesn’t mean this cup was not good - it was excellent - however, preference is personal and is subjective. House blend… I really enjoyed it. On par with the other one that I had in the old town if you ask me.

Understated cafe but what a great find! We tried the banana bread, almond and plain croissants and all were freshly baked each day, excellent pastries! Great barista and good quality coffee, dankejewel!

The chicken salad sandwich was very disappointing. After paying €14,50 for it, I was expecting hot, grilled chicken (especially with how long it took to come) instead I got cold, small chicken pieces. I was also expecting to receive HOT chips but instead we got room temperature packet chips that tastes like Lays. The cappuccino whilst delicious was very small in size for the price.

The carrot cake is wonderfully dense, packed with nuts and carrots in every bite. It has a slight spicy kick — I’m not sure if it’s from ginger or cinnamon — but it adds an interesting touch. It’s very filling, perfect for one person. The Americano has a pleasantly tangy flavor, which I really like! The space is small, but it feels warm and cozy.

Great spot for morning coffee and breakfast. My eggs were flavorful and if you happen to be a digital nomad looking for someplace to work, this is a good spot.

I liked the atmosphere of the coffee shop but I think the hot chocolate and apple pie were a little bit overpriced for what you get. It’s pretty average in my opinion. But the staff was so friendly and they were interacting with their customers which was pretty nice to see!

This place in this cute street really took me by surprise ! The friendly surrounding by the staff was welcoming at the very first second and the cosy atmosphere completed the scene. I ordered a iced latte and a bagel with brie, apple, honey and walnuts, it truly was tasty and definitely coming back again!

This was by far my most favorite coffee experience in Antwerp, thanks to the owners for that! First of all, the interior design is unseen beautiful. The details and the colors are fitting so well, great job. The coffee and latte were delicious, as well the cake which was not visible at the counter but you can just ask for that. Also took a brie avocado sandwich and this was one of the most tasty sandwiches I had in my life. It is served as a crunchy ciabatta, and the melted brie combined with the magical sauce was to die for. Will definitely come back here!!

We are regular customers at Koffieklap, and love it every time for so many reasons: 1) it's a completely volunteer-run non-profit, providing training to women who've come out of difficult situations (human trafficking, ...), 2) great coffee and cakes!! 3) best music playlists, 4) it's never overcrowded (unlike other popular cafes in the area)!

I absolutely love discovering small, local spots like this! Spending time in book cafés especially soothes my soul 📚😌 Cosimo has such a cozy, warm, and welcoming atmosphere. The owners are friendly, and the granola bowl, coffee, and cookies are all delicious. I’m especially happy that their iced coffee isn’t just hot coffee poured over ice—finally!❤️ The interior design also really caught my eye. I think it might be a renovated old shop—or at least that’s the vibe I got. Take a look at the patterns and details! When we came to Antwerp, instead of going to overly crowded places just because they’re popular on social media, we found this gem and enjoyed a peaceful breakfast here 🥰 We liked it so much that we came back for a coffee break during our second visit to Antwerp. Hosted our book club at Cosimo and it was the best setting for our discussion! We started with a few damn good coffees and tasty vegan cookies and had a little lunch after we talked books. I had the soup, which was delicious and comforting at the same time. After we browsed in the book shop and got some good recommendations from the owner. You can tell that there’s so much passion, knowledge and unconditional love for literature there - which makes it a truly special little place.

They serve Cinnamon Roll on the weekend and decaf options. The interior is nice and neat, they even have giant bookshelf inside. However the books provided are mostly in Dutch, and I also found some in German. The place is perfect for having chats, reading a book, or having brunch, but not so much for working with laptops.

Small cosy, self publishing book store that moonlights as a coffee bar. Proper selection of books and the staff is very friendly. Can't complain about the coffee either 😜. Definitely a nice place to hang out and have a browse

Cozy place to come on a Sunday (when most places are closed on Sundays), their toast (croque) is very crunchy and tasty. The seating outside is not noisy, with a bit of sun. Perfect to relax :)

I've been coming here somewhat irregularly for the past couple of years and I feel obliged to finally leave a review. It's been getting better and better over time. One of those secret corners for those who prefer combining books with coffee.

Very nice and cozy place to sit down for coffe and fresh cakes :) Its full of cool books and the service was friendly, too! Update after second visit: I ordered 1 cheese toast with egg on top. After a while more and more guests came in and ordered. They were served within 10 minutes and my toast came after 45(!) minutes. Sorry but this is not acceptable and very frustrating. the service person apologized, okay, but to compensate you could have at least offered to give one coffe on house. Disappointing

I love this coffee shop. We came here for a high tea and stayed for a while. The atmosphere is so perfect en friendly and the food is really delicious. When you see the social deal definitely check this place out. And if there is no deal, still come :)

Breakfast with Dominique was delightful. Everything homemade and fresh. Cozy, welcoming and a must to return to. Can spend the day here just reading and nursing a cup of coffee.

Cosy cute tea/coffee that serves proper English/Irish tea and homemade scones with clotted cream and jam. A taste of home! We come back often.

We went for brunch/lunch here because it had great reviews. The place is very nicely decorated and cozy, but the service was absolutely terrible!! The person who waited on us was rather impolite and seemed very annoyed with us simply being there. We had to wait nearly 40 minutes for very, very simple food that was nothing special. I think we even got the leftovers of a bag of crisps. Really disappointed.

Everything was fantastic, and by everything I mean everything. The coffee was absolutely amazing (specialty coffee). The staff are very caring and generous. The atmosphere is super cozy, with the sofas, the books and the low piano music. I would come here everyday if I lived in Antwerp.

Very very nice place. Amazing terrace at a lovely location surrounded by lots of greenery. The area and coffee shop has an industrial feel to it which I loooove. I like this caffènation way more than the one at Mechelsesteenweg honestly. It is located in the middle of gorgeous Pakt and is beautiful inside and lovely to sit outside as well. The coffee is little bit more expensive than other places but it is delicious!

A small hidden gem. The Turkish coffee here is probably the best I’ve had in Antwerp — rich, smooth, and full of character. The homemade desserts are also surprisingly good. You can tell a lot of care went into everything. The owner is incredibly kind, which really adds to the whole experience. It’s not flashy or trendy — just calm, honest, and genuinely good. Normally I don’t like hipster cafes. But I gave this one a try upon my gf’s request (of course). Pleasantly surprised to say it’s one of the best places for coffee and the best place for matcha latte in Antwerp. Plus. They serve water with coffee. Beautiful presentation too. Please see pictures. Will return whenever in the neighbourhood.

Lovely Dirty Chai with a decent spice/chai level. Service was a bit slow, however the barista was on her own so can't really complain. Very friendly service and I got an additional snack when showing my Antwerp Coffee Week stamp cards. Definitely wanna come here again and try one of the mouthwatering looking pastries or pies.

I’ve been a regular at Daily Dose in Antwerpen, and I just can’t get enough of this place! I absolutely love visiting this coffee shop! It’s a cozy, welcoming spot that’s just across from my workplace. I always enjoy their delicious lattes and the matcha is fantastic. The cinnamon bun is a must-try—it’s perfectly baked and the ideal sweet treat. The aesthetics and cleanliness together with the friendly staff make it a pleasure to stop by. Highly recommend this gem for a quick break or a relaxing moment to recharge!

A wonderful caffe that some people may overlook when looking to sit somewhere. A quiet calm atmosphere and amazing customer service. The female staff member did a great job making the coffee as it was one of the best ones I’ve had in Antwerp. Would definitely come back again and enjoy a tasty hot drink there!

We had a matcha, oat cappuccino, and tea here and we loved it. Lovely lemon raspberry cake and crumble pie as well! Shoutout to the super-friendly barista for making us feel right at home. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Antwerp 🫶🏻

Coffe with a personality. We order cappuccino. Well made. Micro foams and good beans. Wa great. The food selection is decent and good. Plus they cute chickens 🐔 in the back.

Kasette Koffie is perfect whether you’re stopping by solo or coming with friends. What makes Kasette unique is that it’s not just a coffee bar, it’s partly a listening bar. The soundtrack comes from the owner’s vinyl collection, carefully chosen to match the mood of the day. On Saturdays, you can often catch a local DJ adding their own spin. Coffee quality here is always top-notch, with guest roasters frequently featured, often brought in by travelers returning from abroad. Homemade iced teas and perfectly prepared matcha round out the drinks menu. Food-wise, Reuben does it all himself: cakes, pastries, and even cheese toasts with a personal twist. If you’re in the mood for something different, you’ll also find bagels, soft-boiled eggs, and—come winter—warming soups. For me, Kasette is the best coffee bar in Antwerp. And if you’re curious about the music, don’t hesitate to ask Reuben about the vinyl collection, he might even put on something you love.

Beautiful venue and would be so perfect to sit outside on a sunny morning for coffee or lunch. I must say the service was quite slow, although not terrible. The coffee was okay, although it was spilled when arrived. Dogs are allowed inside.

This is a lovely place to have a quiet lunch. The square is very nice. There is a good variety of bagels and the coffee is good! The staff was super kind as well. Would recommend :)

Lovely little square in Antwerp (seems to have so many of them!). One of the few places that does decent coffee (up to Australian standards). Also good brekkie, and the people are very nice indeed.

Really great place for coffee. No matter if you are alone, with friends, children, this place has something for everyone. The meny had also children many, vegan friendly, not yet alien one, but I am sure if they come, they will have something for them also. Located in nice small plaza with shade from trees but also place if you want to catch some sun. It was hot day, so i took Iced cappuccino and it was amazing. I sow that they have really nice food and tasteful deserts so for sure will come back again. One more place to coffee list.

Previous reviews had mentioned the cinnamon bun and it was fantastic. The coffee was decent too. I visited on a very wet day and the cafe was cosy. Lots more outdoor for the drier, sunnier days.

We went there in January 2025. We ordered a vegan tuna sandwich and a tostie with vegan cheese. Both were delicious, but the vegan tuna sandwich was my favorite. The atmosphere in the cafe was relaxing

I was not impressed, I was expecting more from the coffee. I ordered a flat white and a walnut brownie. The coffee, in my opinion, could be improved, it is not the best I have tried. The brownie was tasty for being vegan. Both cost me 7.80 euro.

Okay, if you are looking for the best cinnamon roll of your life, let me tell you that they got it. The vibes are unmatchable and surely people know about it. It was full with locals and also tourist. The inside and the outside are attractive in their own way. The place is cosy and good, so if you are in the mood for a deep talk or even a quick to go, stop here! Love them!!!

A popular spot for vegetarians:) I visited here sometime because of their good location. They have various choices for drinks, coffee juice smoothie cold drink etc. There are not many choices of pastries and sandwiches, vegetable soups . The level of the meal is average. it’s enough for a lunch break. Generally speaking, they are good.

It was very good and fresh! I took a croque veggie with a side salade, a cake and orange juice + ginger drink. My friends and I really enjoyed the food and ot really filled us. I payed 15 euro's for my order and it's worth every cent. They also have a loyalty card so that you can collect stamps and enjoy a free coffee when you have enough stamps. The workers are very friendly and helpful!

Nice place with nice coffee, close to the road and roundabout so not that quiet if you want to have coffee in peace. We ordered coffee and sandwich, which we didn't get even after one hour, but there were a lot of people so it could be coincidence. Prices good, and specious outside so you will find place.

Cool little cafe to grab some coffee and a light snack. The space is open with lots of light, which makes it warm and inviting. Nice selection of drinks, and the flat white was pretty good. Staff was friendly. Not a bad spot to sit and relax on a lazy Sunday morning.

Revista has always been good. The trendy cafe has tripled in size since Covid and now has a large outdoor terrace so service is slower, but none-the-less friendly and on-point with quality Illy brews and little sandwich snacks. It is not the most expensive and that's why I give 5-stars. However, I avoid the cakes, because they have been a bit dry of late. I love the design curated magazine rack and their chilled tunes. The cafe decor is light and airy and perfect for meeting a small group of friends (I would say max 4 since the tables are compact). Small (but clean) toilets are in the basement and accessed via a deathtrap of a staircase.

Super cozy and friendly café right next to the main square, but still feels secluded enough. It was raining so we stayed a while and played a round of Scrabble (they have some other board games too). Good coffee, tasty cake, super reasonable prices!

The coffee was excellent, and the carrot cake was just right—not overly sweet, but perfect for a relaxing break. Inside, there’s a passage with more seating space, which makes it comfortable even when the front area feels busy. The service was also very friendly, adding to the overall experience.

A great place to sit outside and watch the world go by. The homemade lemonade and raspberry cake was excellent. The coffee was just okay, but they have lots of tea options, to try too.

Lovely barista whose mom made most of the artworks inside! The espresso I ordered was great and had good depth of flavour. the raspberry chocolate cake was out of this world. I've been back since and will keep coming back!

As a vegan I was happy to finally find a place that does not overcharge for plant milk for my coffee. Nice atmosphere, we stayed inside for an hour because it was raining, so we just grabbed some board games and enjoyed a latte.

The best chai latte ai have had so far in Antwerp. The place is always full, they have inside area that is cozy and outside for sun lovers. The prices are excellent, don't change them. Perfect place, highly recommended.

The thing I love and keep coming back for is their ice americano, seriously the best! The taste is strong and powerful, but not bitter at all. Everyone at the counter is very friendly too. Top!

Friendly service, good enough coffee. I’d say the front of the coffee shop is definitely more cozy than the back. Laptops are allowed, but only at about 3 tables in the back, where it’s pretty cramped.

Hipster coffee bar on a really good location just next to Chinatown. The owner is a fan of house and techno music, so expect from time to time some beats while drinking your coffee. I highly recommend the chai latte, which was delightful! One remark is that the bartender is rather slow, but once you’ll get your delicious coffee, you forget about that.

If you like Specialty Coffee and happen to be travelling in Antwerp, you should stop by here. Tim and his team make fantastic coffee, on Sunday they even make vegan pancakes. There is also a great atmosphere in the café and you can work a bit on the internet.

We stumbled upon Amici and it was a highlight of our trip! The drinks were delicious and service was excellent- would recommend!

What a little gem of a place. Firstly, the coffee itself was amazing, one of the best iced coffees I've had period. The little terrace area outside is a perfect spot in the sunshine. The service in general was spot on, friendly, professional and welcoming. The initiative of this shop with it's staff and the charity work they do through donations etc makes this an absolute must return for me when we head back to Antwerp. Please support this café, they deserve it immensely!

Called in for a takeaway coffee, not sure if we caught them at a busy moment but it was very chaotic- queuing protocol was very unclear and they gave my drink to someone else. Suggest a numbering system to avoid confusion. The garden did look nice though and would be a nice place to sit on a sunny day.

To be completely honest about this coffee shop. The coffee is very well made, and the service is very nice. Warm atmosphere. Now I would like to mention the patisseries , I did not find them interesting or tasty. We tried a brownie and cookie, both were quite taste less and very tiny.

Even though its so centered you can enjoy some privacy because the terasse is hidden in a small alley leading to a small chapel. The service is super friendly and made our day! This place is the most comfortable and homely in atmosphere of all there quite often families with children sit, brunches are held on Saturdays and just all the people from neighboring houses come there for a cup of coffee and toast but even the number of people does not interfere with work there, because there are 2 private rooms in which you are sitting alone with your thoughts and no one distracts you This feature once made me sit there for 4 days up from 9 to 6

Coffee here is delicious. Just any kind and flavor that you can think aboind, and some that you can't. I tried cappuccino with chilli and caramel. And it's new and refreshing, spicy, but not too much.

A cozy cafe really close by to University of Antwerp and hence is popular with students. Nice interior decor with some antique or vintage items. Wide range of coffee selection as seen in the picture of menu. My coffee was really tasty, and the prices are so reasonable! Can be a little noisy in the cafe due to the space, and they only accept cash. But a great place in all to read, do work or meet people.

Lovely place and lovely staff members! Didn’t have any cash on me and went over to find an atm nearby. They were so kind when I returned and offered a nice little chocolate as a sweet “compensation”. If you’re looking for a quiet spot to relax on a sunny day, this café is a must-try. The food is homemade, you can actually see the lovely lady preparing it in the oven behind the bar, which gives the place a cozy, homey vibe that I really love. The portion sizes are generous and everything is delicious. Both the man and the lady working there are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The only small thing I noticed was that the iced cappuccino glass was quite small. I prefer a bit more coffee for breakfast, but the taste was amazing.

Definitely one of the best places to get breakfast in Antwerp. Great coffee, kid and overall very friendly service. The kitchen doesn’t disappoint either, the sourdough is on point as is the latte art.

Brandbar has quickly become my go-to brunch spot in Antwerp. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, and the menu is so creative. I must mention, their orange blossom pancakes with peaches are to die for! They’re a mouthwatering, fragrant delight that’s a must-try for anyone visiting Brandbar. I can’t get enough of the perfect balance of flavors in every bite.

Overall fantastic experience. We went twice, both times excellent and warm service. The coffee cortado and flat white were excellent. Nice quiet location.

During our visit to Antwerp we came across the Brandbar. We received a warm welcome immediately. The coffee and the shashuka tasted excellent! Because we liked it there so much on our first visit, we had to come back the next day. The veggie-hotdog tasted amazing. The staff is also very friendly. On our next visit to Antwerp we will definitely come back and eat one of the delicious cinnamon rolls. We would recommend to visit the Brandbar! 🤗

Cats don’t seem well taken care of. Was out of stock of most drinks. Drinks were also expensive for what you get. Our first impression was entering into the cafe there was no hand sanitizer or foot coverings. In all the cat cafes I have been in other countries (countries in North America and Asia), they have this PLUS toys, treats, and grooming supplies. The way the cats looked and how filthy the place was, was really l upsetting. Even the walls were dirty. The cats seemed stressed and weren’t very friendly which is understandable but having enrichment items like toys and treats would improve this. The cats were poorly groomed, very smelly, hair coming off like no tomorrow, scraggly and skinny some of them, cuts on their noses and face, and you can visibly see feces and urine stains on them. See photo attached. To top all this off, every drink we tried to order was sold out… we were there at 11:00am… how can you be sold out of so many drinks. Ended up ordering a lemonade. The lady gave us some kind of bland soda drink, it wasn’t even what we ordered. We were also to be refunded for one drink as it sold out AFTER we already paid and the lady didn’t even say anything just placed cash on our table, no receipt. I don’t even know if it was the right amount to be returned. Honestly this place maybe will be shut down if they don’t step up their game. Very disappointed and sad.

A nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just relax with the cute cats. The girl who makes the drinks looked very busy. So you might need to wait until she can open the gate during busy hours. You order your drink or cakes by the counter and she will bring it to you. And they don’t charge you for an entrance fee like the Netherlands cat cafes.

A lovely cat cafe in the center of Antwerp! They have a nice selection of cakes, sweets and drinks and I’m really impressed with the dedication they have to the place and the adoptions. So nice to see! Hopefully I will be able to visit soon!

The beverages are very nice...1 Earl Grey, 1 Momo mango delight and 1 Pebbles' pawsome tea. The cat's are not very active, but that is understandable with it being late afternoon. They are very beautiful and calm in temper. Some like their ears stroked. They will give a small quick sniff of your hand if you offer. The layout of the cafe is well done, the cat holes under the seats is a nice touch. My friend said the toilets are very good, clean and the plaques in the cubicles are funny and cute. The menu is simple and easy to look at, it includes a picture of the cats in the café also

I visited the café twice and really enjoyed the ambience. The staff are friendly (I cannot relate to the negative comments). They keep a close eye on the doors (two doors which must not be opened simultaneously) and make sure you sanitise your hands before entering, but that's understandable. The drinks are reasonably priced and tasty. The atmosphere of the café is quiet and calming. The cats are cute (what else would you expect?! :)) and they have a separate room just for themselves, which I think is an important aspect. Some cats are for adoption.

Probably the worst experience I’ve had in a cafe in Antwerp. Even though they say in the house rules that children are allowed it’s not true at all. We tried to go there with our daughter, she loves animals and we have cats at home ourselves. The moment we were waiting at the door we were already pre-judged and looked by the worker with an angry face. Despite that we still entered and sat on a table and ordered our beverages. We were 2 with 1 child so the house rule was always respected as 1 adult was always supervising. The worker was looking at us every 30s, following and telling not to go near the cats. At the third time she approached us with angry looks and with disrespectful comments. I clearly asked if she was uncomfortable with us here and that if that’s the case we could leave. The answer was yes, your child is very loud and she’s trying to approach the cats. Well, if that’s what’s bothering you, then the house rules on children are fake. I would have appreciated to have had a clear statement before entering the place and ordered drinks. I would have understood, instead of feeling mistreated. It’s clear it’s your business and can run it as you want, but you need to be more clear then. When I asked for the bill when we were invited to leave, even without taking a sip from the drinks, the person charged us the full price.

We saw this recommended online so headed there immediately after arriving in Antwerp. We were lucky enough to get a seat outside in the shade but seating inside also looked comfy. Very friendly staff, and coffee was great. They also have a good range of pastries.

The right place for a coffee enthusiast. Very good espresso and all sorts of coffee. A vibrant and friendly atmosphere. Small selection of cakes available. I have tried the lemon cake and it was great with the double espresso.

Nice brunch spot in the heart of Antwerp. I’m gluten free so luckily they had GF options available (though for an extra charge of €2). I specifically asked for the eggs Benedict’s to be harder and even the waitress acknowledged she’ll ask the kitchen, they didn’t accommodate the request. We also had to wait for 40+ mins for our food to arrive which is not acceptable. The stuff should’ve at least informed us about the waiting time and/or give us updates after some time.. but no, there was no communication at all. I understand it was Sunday and a bit busy (probably slightly busier than usual) but having 2 people working in the kitchen and preparing food for 60+ individuals is not feasible (either extend the kitchen, hire more stuff, do more food preparation in advance or reduce restaurant’s capacity otherwise ppl would be waiting for more than an hour for just a slice of bread with ham and eggs…). The food was nicely made, it was delicious and very presentable though.

The coffee itself isn’t bad, but the service really ruins the experience. We wanted to sit outside, but the staff said they couldn’t bring a chair from inside which makes no sense for a café. We ended up waiting nearly 20 minutes just for a table, order, and drinks. When I asked to pay, the lady was quite rude, just pointed at the cashier instead of speaking properly. Only the male staff member was friendly and polite, he was the one bright spot of our visit. Overall, very poor customer service and slow operations. Definitely not worth the wait.

Coffee is great and the setup is spacious, staff is friendly though they were baffled by the idea that we might put 2 tables together to fit 4 people. However their Pineapple lemonade didn't taste like pineapple and was quite expensive for the quality. The brownie on the other hand was class.

It's a place with very sweet employees and excellent taste. I always stop by when I have municipal business. Their sourdough sandwiches are excellent. You should definitely buy their bread and take it home. I definitely recommend everyone to try their sourdough bread.

Beautiful setting with the inviting smell of sourdough bread. There’s a good selection of breakfast and brunch options, along with superbly executed Belgian pastries. The only downside was the filter coffee, which I can’t recommend.

Absolutely one of the prettiest cafes I have ever been, with on top one of the best carrot cakes and breakfast! The granola had something different about it. Not the plain basic granola for sure. Really recommend :)

I usually go to this café because it's just around the corner from my home. Today, while I was there, I asked the owner if I could take one of the pillows on the couch to the terrace to sit on, as I'm 36 weeks pregnant and it can be really uncomfortable sometimes. He was grumpy and reluctant. I’m so, truly so fed up with these kinds of cafés and their owners — rude, inconsiderate, lacking basic human empathy.

This spot is a gem. Their avocado lime toast is delicious: perfectly seasoned and has a whole avocado on top. The sourdough bread it’s on is also clearly fresh and not crazy hard/chewy. Their matcha is good as well, but was served cold. Only downside is that they don’t limit capacity —which due to the cafe’s small size, they should really do. In turn, the place is overcrowded and the service super slow as the staff is clearly overwhelmed. However, I highly recommend this place for some yummy brunch —just get there early to have some place to sit!

Tried this café recently and was disappointed. The pain au chocolat was clearly not fresh – dry and lacking that buttery flakiness you’d expect. I had a matcha latte, which was decent, but it came with way too much ice, diluting the flavor and making it watery after just a few minutes. Not quite the quality I was hoping for.

The best record store i have ever seen. I have been looking for a rare vinyl Joe Bonamassa - Record Store Day Exclusive Press for a while and when i went there i found it. It was a amazing one. Prices are pleasant and vinyl stands are organized. Should to be see there.

Never felt more unwelcome. Staff was incredibly rude and treated us like criminals. If you hate your job, stop and find something you do like. Vinyl collection is large bur REALLY overpriced.

Hi all, in this review I want to give you a fair warning about this coffee bar/ record store. Granted, they have a massive collection of vinyl and also serve ok coffee. Prices are on the high side but that should not always be a dealbreaker. And the owner tries to upsell and is kind of arrogant/unfriendly. My main gripe with this store however is that they sell unofficial records. Last time I was in the store I checked the Tool section, found a version of Aenima and of Lateralus that I thought had never been officially released, checked discogs, and bingo... a bootleg in my hands. Also, upon archiving my vinyl collection on Discogs I discovered that this dude has sold me unofficial copies of Ill Communication by Beastie Boys and Daydream Nation by Sonic Youth. I already knew my copies of those sounded like garbage. Now I know why. Therefore, my advice to all vinyl lovers out there is: if you are ever in Antwerp and want to buy some records, avoid this store AT ALL COST. There are far better record stores in Antwerp, such as Fat Cat records. Heck, I would rather go to Fnac than to this place

In the summer you have a smal terrace but also the personnel is very friendly. The varriation of Vinyl is huge! Also recordplayer.. but after searching around you can sit in the cosy corners and have some great coffee and or cake. One of the most authentic coffee places in Antwerp for sure.

Stopped by Café Canelé and tried two mini canelés — coffee and vanilla. Both had a great texture: crisp outside, soft and flavorful inside. Coffee was excellent, and the staff was friendly. We sat outside at first, but when it started raining, we moved inside without any issue. The place has a simple setup and a short menu, but what they do, they do well. 👍 Found this helpful? A quick stop for a great coffee and an even greater Canelé. It’s crunchy on the outside and moist and soft on the inside. A dab of cream in its center makes it a standout. Cool minimal atmosphere and stylish locals add to its charm.

Literally the best canelé I’ve ever had—crisp and firm on the outside, with a soft, almost jelly-like texture inside. So, so good I’d go back to Antwerp just for this.

How have I never discovered this gem before?! Such an amazing place! I’m in love with the interior, and my chai latte was just perfect - not too sweet, just how I like it. I tried a “pollyke” afterwards, a coffee in between a cappuccino and a latte, simply AMAZING. Lovely location with big windows and a charming little terrace. You’ll definitely see me here again!

Coffee is very good, on par with the best shops in the city, however the pastries are really hit-or-miss. The first time I went, the cakes were excellent, but subsequent visits left me underwhelmed by their baking. Cakes were dry and dense so I can't recommend having baked goods there.

Take away matcha has decreased quantity and quality in the past few months. They used to fill the cup all the way to the top and they added a nice amount of matcha that gave it a beautiful green, now they barely add any and don't even fill it up top. This plus all the ice they add and the price increase make me dissapointed, as it used to be the best Matcha in town, and worth the price point. I visited this café today, drawn in by what seemed like an interesting and promising concept. Unfortunately, while the idea behind the place might be appealing, the overall experience was disappointing due to the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail. The interior was noticeably unkempt — dusty surfaces, cobwebs in the corners, and flies flying around inside. I was especially put off by the fact that there were ants in the sugar container. Outside, the table I sat at was next to a neglected plant pot filled with dry leaves and trash, which made the atmosphere far from pleasant. I ordered an iced cacao latte, but it didn’t meet expectations. It tasted mostly like water, with no real hint of milk or cacao richness. The drink was overwhelmed by ice, and the cup was surprisingly small for what’s supposed to be a refreshing beverage.

To my surprise, it wasn’t a bar but a delightful café tucked into the Borger Hub run by 2 nice ladies, beautifully intertwined with a plant store. The atmosphere was cozy, green, and inviting. I tried a Chai latte with a perfect spice kick, a Matcha latte, and a chocolate milk, each deliciously balanced and refreshingly unsweet compared to most cafés. A rare find! The cakes looked tempting, but I had too much sweet elsewhere :-) just moments before. So i come back for the sweets another time! PlantBar Jacqueline is a perfect fusion of botanical beauty and coffee culture. Whether you're here for plants, great drinks, or a peaceful ambiance, it's worth the visit!

This is a delightful coffee bar in an interesting dockland neighborhood near the Museum an der Stroom. It reminds me of the 'hipster' neighborhoods in New York. The atmosphere is fun with jazz music, whimsical furniture and interesting books everywhere. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the coffee is excellent. Highly recommended!
