So this place has a cool aesthetic and a low key type of vibe. The food and coffee aren’t really the best. It’s decent enough that you won’t leave hungry but nothing to say “wow that was good”. The food comes out visually appealing but my meal and wife’s burrito just fell flat on actual flavor.

Good place for breakfast, coffee, and lunch. The space in front of the register can be a little tight when busy but the lines moves pretty quickly. Order your food at the register. If you're eating in, they give you a table marker with an Uno Card for a server to bring you your food. We a ordered the Ruben sandwich, chips, corn beef and hash. The food was pretty good. The honey sriacha sauce that comes with the cornbeef and hash was delicious. There was plenty of seating upstairs and outside. We will return.

It was an unplanned visit this morning. But I was pleasantly impressed with the place. When I see a coffee shop have lines out the door it makes me happy (when I m not in a rush of course) - showing it’s a good place for coffee!! And it most definitely didn’t disappoint. I went upstairs, opened my laptop and ordered my food online - just to skip the crazy lines. Picked it up a few minutes later and enjoyed the chicken biscuit with a warm cup of coffee!! No fancy plates for me but that did no difference to the taste! Will definitely go again.

Morning Times in downtown Raleigh is a truly unique spot with a cool coffee shop vibe that stands out in the city. The coffee here is super flavorful, rich, and expertly brewed. Their food menu is just as impressive, with each dish crafted to perfection. I especially recommend trying their biscuits. If you’re in Raleigh and looking for a memorable coffee and bite, Morning Times is a must-visit.

I hate leaving a bad review, and it takes a lot for me to leave a review in the first place. If I could give zero stars for service I would. The staff were rude, condescending, and clearly stressed. For a Saturday morning, I think more than 3 employees working in the front (when the line is all the way out the door and) would help a lot. I ordered eggs with cheddar cheese. The eggs were burnt and didnt have the cheddar i ordered, when I took it back downstairs the guy at the register gas-lit me and said "maybe there was some miscommunication, but ill fix it anyways". Okay, maybe YOU misunderstood but either way, why are being weird and aggressive? Then the Barista says to my friend whose eggs were CRUSTY burnt, that, "those aren't burnt!" I have attached a picture, you all decide for yourselves. But either way, why are all the staff members being so passive aggressive and rude. I always speak to service workers kindly, I try to be understanding, never yell, I try very hard to not be on the "Karen-energy", so when the staff are still being unnecessarily rude, its very frustrating. We will never come back and it sucks because we genuinely WANTED a good experience. 0/10.

Stopped here this morning on our way out of Raleigh and it was a great start to our morning! Got the Chai latte and tuna melt and they were fabulous. I get nervous about ordering Chais at smaller coffee shops because they differ in taste so much but they nailed it here. The tuna melt was perfect and the tots were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The service was fast and there was a clear sense of community at the establishment. Would definitely come back again.

Enjoyed my experience. From the wonderful customer service (she even took time to recommend the bagel breakfast sandwich which was delicious), delicious cortada with maple syrup (had to order a second one to go). Ample seating area upstairs. All my requirements for a nice coffee shop experience. I’ll be back.

Such a gem. You’ll wait to be seated but the hosts help get people seated quick so no worries. The juice and the coffee and sandwich were made quickly and so delicious! 😋 If you’re coming here for a virtual meeting, think again! It’s a LIVELY coffee shop and there are not a lot of outlets. What a fun Raleigh coffee find !! This one is very cute, great coffee, a great menu, beer & wine and the great service and staff. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating available plus an additional patio w communal picnic tables. Cute.

I recently had the opportunity to visit this establishment and was thoroughly impressed with their offerings. Beautiful outside seating, very spacious and easy parking. Good was delicious and cappuccino was perfect.

Added to my favorite spot list! So much yum. I wish more coffee spots also provided fantastic food! I arrived at peak lunch time and the line was literally out the door. That said, I only had to wait about 5 minutes.. how?! That’s amazing, especially considering how good the food is. The staff was friendly, helpful, and EFFICIENT. The interior was clean and modern with a cool vide- great place to sit for a bit with friends and/or a laptop getting work done. Parking is a breeze given the shopping center surroundings. I’ll be back (not intentionally working the terminator)..

Food and coffee were mid. I got the: Chai Tea Breakfast Bowl The Chai was very watery. They either added too much water or their chai concentrate isn’t very concentrated. Oregon Chai Extra Spicy Super Concentrate - this concentrate does the trick. I found no milk flavor and I asked for whole. I was surprised that the entire breakfast bowl minus the sausage was stark cold. It just wasn’t my fave. The atmosphere and customer service are great and speedy. I also love that they don’t allow seat saving. For a busy cafe, that’s a must!

One of my all time favorite places for coffee and a snack. But I can hardly call this a snack because the biscuits are so filling and delicious. I'm not usually a biscuit person but these are top notch. The latte options are great and smooth. It's what a coffee shop should be, controlled chaos, so if you have an issue with noise then bring some headphones or the outside seating is a good option as well. There's not usually a long wait, but even if it were, it would be worth the wait.

Stopped by for a pick me up. I think it was the salt caramel (I really don’t remember). It was crowded on a mid afternoon but the barista is very patient. Awesome coffee!!! It tasted acid free which is good for my stomach. I will definitely be back when I’m this city again

My daughter and I decided to check this place out while we were waiting for one of our cars to be worked on. The atmosphere is nice, but really loud. That's probably a catch 22 since it means they're popular, but it was just too busy for us to enjoy the atmosphere inside. They do have some tables outside in the front and the back though, so that was helpful. They had a decent selection of coffee and tea drinks. My daughter got the Mocha Latte iced and I decided to try the Almond Latte with Almond milk. They were both very good, just a bit too sweet for my liking. So next time I'll have to ask for them to make it less sweet. My daughter wanted to try their Bacon, Egg and Cheese biscuit to see how it compared to others she's tried. She said the flavor was pretty good, but the biscuit was weird. She said it was akin to the texture of a Bojangles biscuit but sweet like a scone. So it would've been better with something like peanut butter or jam.

I got the seasonal spring latte to go. It was floral and refreshing on a hot day. The layout was cool and would be a great catch-up spot with friends. Service was friendly and quick

Great coffee with experienced baristas. Some of the best biscuits I've ever had too! Good place to work from home, catch up with a friend, or get a quick cup of Joe to go. Usually pretty busy, but I can always find a seat and a parking space. They do to-go orders and online orders! Clean bathrooms with changing table for the babies!

Jubala Coffee at Lafayette Village is amazing! The coffee is always top-notch, and the biscuits and blueberry waffles are incredible. The vibe is cozy and perfect for relaxing or getting work done. The staff is super friendly, and the outdoor seating adds a nice touch. Definitely one of my favorite coffee spots!

The craftsmanship with the food and drinks at this location cannot be beat. I was visiting the city for the first time and came there 6/6 days I was in Raleigh. I tried a lot of things on the menu, but my favorites were definitely the Old Fashioned, Vietnamese Coffee, or the ginger slap. The food here is small but high quality; I would recommend the southern pimento sammy. The staff, especially Elizabeth/Beck, goes out of their way to ensure what you get is what you want. And if you’re having a hard time choosing, they were extremely helpful and patient. We were there for 1-2 hours at a time and saw various rushes, all of which were handled very efficiently, max wait time appeared to be under 10/15 minutes top. This place appeared to be dog friendly as we saw a plethora of cute dogs. I can’t recommend this place enough and Beck if you’re reading this, keep up the amazing work! I already have friends back home attempting to re create the old fashioned you made us every day!!

I recently visited Sir Walter Coffee in Raleigh for the first time and was very impressed with the overall experience. The physical environment was clean, organized, and welcoming. The signage was clear, and the layout made it easy to find what I needed. The seating area was comfortable and well thought out, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Customer service was excellent. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and able to answer my questions about the menu. They took the time to explain options and made sure I was satisfied with my order. The shop also encouraged social media engagement through a small sign near the counter asking customers to tag their Instagram handle. After visiting, I checked out their website and social media pages and found that both matched the in-store experience, clear, informative, and visually consistent. Pricing was straightforward, and all items were clearly marked. They also had a loyalty program, which I found to be a nice incentive for return customers. A chalkboard at the counter advertised a seasonal drink promotion as well. Overall, this was a well-rounded and positive experience. Great bev, great service, great time!! Came here between hopscotch sets for coffee and drinks and had a fun chill time sitting out on the patio. Went to the other location so you know I had to hit both, I’m the number one sir Walter fan in town.

Atmosphere is good- food was TERRIBLE! My avocado toast was salty enough to give me hypertension. Cortado was trash at best. Upcharge like it’s 2020 to get oat milk. I get coffee almost daily from local shops near where we live and have never been so disappointed in the service and food. Save yourself the trouble, you’re better off going to a chain like Starbucks before coming here

The coffee was great! However, I ordered 2 coffees, an avocado toast, and a burrito (if you can even call it that) and the total was $40. One would think that must mean the food is good, right?? You would actually be so wrong. The avocado toast tasted heavily processed (and kinda soapy, but I’m not someone who has the cilantro-soap gene), and it was just bread/avocado/everything bagel seasoning for $12. Way overpriced. The burrito was literally just egg and cheese, and that was $11. +$2 if you wanted protein. The most egregious part of this whole experience was the fact that the bathroom door is literally just frosted glass. You can definitely see through. All the bits and goodies, just slightly blurred. The one redeeming quality was that I really enjoyed the pumpkin cold brew.

I am actually visiting from out of state and I've been here for a month. While visiting new places I usually make it a priority to try all of the local coffee shops. It's a fun way to explore a new city and I try to find my favorite spot. Cup A Joe is the best coffee in town. Hands down. I've been all over Raleigh trying different spots! This place has a great atmosphere AND most importantly, really great, affordable, and strong coffee drinks. I'm going to be going here exclusively now until I go back home!

This location is great! Lively ambiance, plenty of seating, fun staff, and tasty drinks. Real fruit smoothies are good, the chai latte is great, the m&m cookie was crumbly and soft - a nice combo. Oh, and the art is amazing

It’s a nice little coffee shop, right on Hillsborough St! They’ve got some good deals each day of the week, including like $4 smoothies on Tuesday’s (my favorite)! Nice place to chat and hang out or to do homework with a drink or snack! Only complaint is there’s one employee that will automatically put down a large size drink if you don’t specify what size you want which I find somewhat annoying. Also free parking behind which is great!

Every other coffee shop pales in comparison. I cant tell ya how much money I've spent in this place in the last 15 years. I hope cup a joe stays forever. I love the smell of fresh coffee when I drive thru hillsborough street. Always pulling me in time after time. One of my comfort spaces in the city.

Always my go-to spot for coffee (and breakfast), has tons of seating and the weekly menu helps a lot if you're trying to save some. Especially like the green eggs and ham wrap.

The cold brew was decent. The food was unfortunately really disappointing. We tried several of their breakfast sandwiches on sourdough and they were super small and sloppily constructed and frankly not fair to sell at the price point. The service felt really grumpy, food sorta thrown at us. It sounds like that’s meant to be part of the charm but it wasn’t charming

Coffee not bad. Not a lot of selections though. Service was ok. There was indoor and outdoor sitting. Nice decor... Location was hard to find at first because it's located in a tall plaza with other spots..

Oatmeal and coffee are pretty good, what gave this a low rating was the experience. I was brought oatmeal with no spoon. They also didn't have any reusable spoons, only plastic. In which I had to get myself. Which is fine but odd to bring out a food item with no utencil. Was served my coffee in a throwaway cup which was disappointing as I did specify for here and see others being served their coffee in mugs. Just not the cafe experience I expected.

Love visiting this café for a latte and some work time. I really appreciate that they serve drinks in ceramic mugs when you order "for here". The Stacey is my favorite drink! The baristas are friendly, the ambiance is great, and they even have live music on Saturdays.

I was glad to stop by again at Optimist Cafe when I was in town. The. I knew what I had missed. Same great quality coffee. very aromatic coffee, no after taste and very smooth. The barista was very kind to made an extra hot latte!

Like others have mentioned, the food is hit or miss and my order was a miss. Would not recommend food unless it was a bakery item, especially at this price point. Not pictured: the yogurt “parfait”. Coffee is good.

The Optimist in Raleigh offers a pleasant atmosphere, making it a great spot to study or get some work done. The setting is comfortable, with plenty of seating options that encourage productivity and relaxation. However, there were some quirks that didn't quite align with the positive vibe you'd expect from a place called "The Optimist." For instance, there are signs all over the place, and the WiFi password is “this place sucks,” which felt ironic and a bit off-putting for a place that's supposed to radiate positivity. During our visit, we tried **The Fig** ($10), an English muffin with fig jam, goat cheese, and mint (we opted for no bacon). We also had **The Hulk Smash** ($10.50), which is a sourdough toast topped with avocado, green tomato, arugula, cabbage, and chili crisp. To drink, we ordered two versions of **The Stacey** latte ($5.50)—one hot and one iced. This latte is made with espresso, honey, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk. While the food tasted great, I found it to be significantly overpriced for what we got. Paying $10 for a small English muffin and $10.50 for a piece of toast is hard to justify, especially in North Carolina where you can find similar offerings at much more reasonable prices. The portions were modest at best and left us feeling like we didn’t get our money’s worth. To add to the disappointment, the lattes were not enjoyable at all. Neither my husband nor I liked them, which is unusual because he's generally not picky when it comes to coffee. We ended up throwing them away, which only compounded the feeling that we’d wasted our money. For the three items, we paid $35, and it simply wasn’t worth it. Overall, while the atmosphere was nice and the food was tasty, the overpriced food items and disappointing drinks mean I won’t be returning to The Optimist. There are plenty of other coffee shops in the area that offer better value and a more cohesive experience.

Nice little coffee shop in a mixed use residential-commercial building. Staff are nice. Pop music playing but not in an overwhelming way. This not a loud coffee shop but it is also not quiet. Bc of the concrete floors and the other features, all sounds echo. Also, the interior entrance is NOT wheelchair accessible. There are 4 steps down into the shop. However, the steps are next to the register so I’m sure you can order your coffee and have it handed to you without coming down the steps. The shop is wheelchair accessible from the outside only.

I ordered the seasonal coconut drink because the mango sticky rice drink was out of stock. The portion size was very small for the price, which was over $7. It barely had any liquid and came with a giant cube of ice. They had run out of plastic cold to-go cups and gave me a hot beverage cup instead. The drink tasted sour, did not taste like coconut at all, and was not enjoyable. I would not order from here again.

Where to begin with iris coffee lab? The ordering experience was streamlined, and there was ample indoor and outdoor seating. Unfortunately, this is probably because the chairs were the equivalent of sitting on a guitar pick. The rest of the decor similarly resembled a mid-century modern insane asylum. All this is child’s play compared to the drinks. I was hoping they would redeem the experience. I was rooting for you, iris coffee lab. The matcha left me wanting more. I couldn’t taste even a whisper of matcha flavoring, and the price was laughable for a glass of green milk. When my flat white arrived, I felt that twinkle return to my eye. Sadly, about 3 sips later, as I neared the end of my beverage I was shocked to discover a texture component I was not expecting. After a lot of contemplation, I have decided I am not a fan of coffee grounds swirling around my mouth. The customers are hip and trendy, the employees exceedingly friendly and speedy, the drinks bespoke and innovative, but I think we need to cut out the frills and go back to the basics. Why play 3D chess when you’ve yet to master tic tac toe? I think the experience was net neutral, but for how steep the pricing is, I feel it’s my duty to let the world know what they’re getting into.

One day, I wandered into this café and tried their cherry marzipan latte and now I can’t stop thinking about it. I’m officially hooked. They make their own syrups, and the flavor is just unreal. Rich, unique, and perfectly balanced. I’ll admit, it’s not my favorite spot to get work done (it can get a little loud), but it’s perfect for a weekend coffee run or catching up with a friend. Warm vibes, great coffee. Totally worth the stop.

Quite literally the best Matcha I have ever tasted. Staff is always so friendly, warm and welcoming. Amazing quality ingredients and amazing. Taste every single time without fail. Must try the Jasmine Mini Matcha!!

I was really disappointed with my experience here. I ordered two cold brews and a lox bagel, and everything was just… incredibly mid — and somehow it all added up to nearly $30? The coffee tasted like mostly milk and ice, with barely any coffee flavor, and the bagel was bland and forgettable. I’d heard a lot of hype about this place, so I was expecting much better. Unfortunately, it just didn’t live up to the expectations.

Stopped by early in the morning and first, I love the concept. It's a minimalistic, simple, clean coffee shop and the employees here were so friendly and wonderful! Let's start with the butter caramel latte. Delicious! Not overly bitter, not overly sweet. It was a perfectly balanced latte. Look at that little heart on top, the barista did a wonderful job! Then there are the baked goods. The cinnamon pull apart was basically a cinnamon roll in muffin form and it was delicious! The icing drizzled on top was nice and sweet, the perfect amount of cinnamon. Delicious snack! Then there was the rosemary apple crostada with oak crumble. Oh. My. Goodness. This thing was amazing! Nice fresh apple chunks. Perfectly balanced, not small, baked good that will leave you craving more! I took that first bite and fell in love! They did a wonderful job! This is a wonderful little coffee shop that is definitely worth a visit!

Lucettegrace is our go-to spot for a special treat. The croissants are unbelievably flaky and buttery, and the coffee is always smooth and delicious. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming—even our kids love it here! A perfect place for a family pastry stop in downtown Raleigh.

When you enter there are a couple stairs to reach the counter. There are lots of yummy treats available. Many pastries. Prices are between $4 and $10. They have a couple gluten free options but no gluten free pastry. There are multiple coffee options. I had an Americano and it was good. My son really enjoyed the fruit pastry he got. It had custard and strawberry type preserves. Well baked and flaky. There are 2 restrooms available. The one I used was clean. The one complaint is that it was hot inside. They could enjoy the use of the air conditioner more to make patrons more comfortable.

I am a CLT native and came to Raleigh for the weekend to visit family. We stopped in for a bite. Ahhhhamazing! It's pricey but SO worth the bills. We had the London Fog, the ultimate cheese toast ( they told the absolute truth) and savory muffin with sausage gravy inside ( can't recall the official name). Each and every bite was super yummy! The staff is kind and patient ( two littles with us) and the ambiance is perfect. Local art featured for the decor. Don't hesitate to stop in and as a guest to the city, after Dix Park this is my new Raleigh fav👌🏾 If your from CLT like me and know and love Amelie's this is going to remind you of them!

I would rate a 3.5. I got a caramel latte and a changes in latitude. I'm sharing an image of macaroons but have no idea what they taste like. The changes in latitude is a coconut tres leche cake, keylime custard on the inside. There is a mousse topping with a strong lime center. I would have liked a bit more keylime flavor in the custard. For me, it was barely noticeable but spreading the lime cream up top provided the flavor. I liked the texture of the dessert overall but if it wasnt for the mousse and lime center on top, it didn't taste like much of anything to me. The coconut was barely noticeable which for me is a plus, I dont do coconut but was trying something different. Its is not a sweet dessert nor was I looking for that. My coffee was good but I can't really judge it with the dessert as the start of my experience while waiting for the coffee. The ambience was nice and the woman helping us was nice enough. We didn't chat about anything, but she definitely wasn't rude or acting annoyed as some places. She walks your drinks over after she prepares them, so this could be a bit time consuming for someone in a hurry. Another staff member finally came out to help. I would go back, for coffee/latte. The price, $6, for it was along the lines of all the other places selling coffee in that area. But I do think the pastries are expensive. Today's market, what isn't?

I gotta be honest. I was going to start with "it's a little pricey", then I had one bite of my L'Italien sandwitch and I was like "jeez, it's totally worth it"!! We also loved the desserts. My favorite was raspberry barret 💜.

First timers, my husband and I visited this morning and I got the ham and cheese croissant and my hubby got the curry chicken sandwich. We grabbed a few other pastries too. The lucette coffee was amazing and the gentleman that helped us was so helpful. My toasted ham and cheese croissant... to die for!

This bakery was absolutely unreal. From the Italian sandwich and kouign amann to the cheesecake and chocolate mousse dessert, every item was made with finesse and care. The flavors were strong and balanced with textures that kept you diving in for another bite. Every item deserved a Paul Hollywood handshake. The friendly, patient staff were happy to offer recommendations and created a truly welcoming atmosphere. Honestly, I am so impressed by this place, and I can't wait to go back.

The staff was incredibly friendly! There was plenty of space to get some work done. I had the yogurt parfait and ended up buying a bag of their house-made granola. So good!

We came in on a Sunday afternoon not realizing that they were about to close but they were so nice to us and glad to help us even though we caught them in the middle of cleaning up. This has been my favorite coffee shop for over 30 years and I'm glad to see on the rare occasions make it back to Raleigh that is one thing that hasn't changed.

Cushy chairs, reliably good eats, and playful monthly drink specials make it an easy neighborhood spot where you’ll find locals hunkered down on laptops, catching up over smoothies, or simply savoring a warm muffin out on the patio. Add in eclectic art (yes, that’s a giant dino skeleton on the back wall) and vintage decor. Great staff, food, drinks, and other items for sale. Small parking lot a little past the store. Only open until noon.

Asia with Offline - Visited on a Saturday morning. Staff was super friendly and patient. I decided on the strawberry blonde iced - delicious! Plenty of seating available. I’ll be back.

Quite an eclectic spot. It feels like walking into 'Central Perk' from Friends in the 90s. (Which isn't necessarily a bad thing! ;) ) Great location right by Five Points. Wall is lined with tables and power supplies for folks to work remote. The music is at a comfortable level (not loud, thank you!) making it easy to work or have a conversation. I had a bagel and coffee and both were fine.

This is one of the most unique coffee shops I’ve experienced so far. The drink selection are very unique. The drinks are made with fresh ingredients, herbs and spices! I tried the blueberry coffee tonic, over ice and it was amazing! I can’t wait to come back and try another drink. I also got a fresh croissant and OMG, it was so buttery and decadent! The customer service is very genuine too! I really enjoyed my experience here!

This place is amazing and the people that run it have a really good heart. I always make time to stop in when I’m around. Great place to eat, drink, chat or work. And check out the brown sugar shaken espresso, you won’t be disappointed!

I had high hopes for this cafe, especially given their website’s promise of the “ultimate cafe experience” with “quality, creativity, and style.” Sadly, my experience fell well short of those expectations. Atmosphere: The space is small and cozy, but part of the seating area near the window was blocked by equipment, making it unnecessarily difficult to find a spot to sit. Service: While the staff was friendly, they forgot to make our coffee. After waiting by the counter for a while, they told us to have a seat and assured us they’d bring it over. Unfortunately, it took them 20 minutes to realize we’d been forgotten before they finally prepared our order. Food: The lattes tasted good, indicating high-quality coffee and milk. However, there was no latte art at all, despite the beautifully crafted designs featured on their website. They simply poured the milk in, with no sign of the creativity or style they advertise. Overall, this was far from the “ultimate cafe experience” they claim to deliver.

Visiting Raleigh for 3 days for a work thing and came here twice. Excellent macchiato, tasty pastries and really nice staff. A great way to start a day.

From their mindful selection of artisan, sustainable beans, to their atmosphere and friendliness, 42 & Lawrence has stood out from their competition. Their espresso is yummy, their lattes are unique and delicious (try the Taj Mahal!), and their pastries are top-notch. I go to Raleigh once a year for 42 & Lawrence! (...And also for a tech conference.) This is one of the best cafés you'll ever visit!

Very pretty aesthetic, friendly staff that brings your order to you outside if you sit there. Despite a line almost out the door, my friend and I were helped quickly and hardly waited. Delicious coffee and mochi waffle with generous cream and strawberries. Looking forward to coming back and trying something else!

First time in and I was impressed. The breakfast baguette was perfect, the chili crunch made it over the top perfection. The chai latte had decent spice but tasted slightly watered down to what Ive come to expect from chai. Will definitely be back for the food.

I love the Lao Fog, every flavor of mochi donut, the staff, and the vibes so much here. Heirloom is amazing. Food is alright, a bit pricey for the portion size admittedly, but is good. I haven't tried breakfast or dinner here but eventually will. I'll keep coming back.

The best latte I’ve had in Raleigh. The coffee was perfectly roasted. It’s was not burnt and bitter. If you like coffee, this is the place for you. They have perfectly made coffee and espresso. They also have a brunch, lunch, and dinner menu. It’s a great place for a calm gathering with friends, catching up spot and date spot. I went do work, but I don’t recommend as a chill and do work spot, it’s just not one of those coffee shops, and that’s okay, not all coffee shops are intended to be a study area.

Cute Instagram worthy desserts, though very sweet and textures were something my child couldn't get over. A combination a jell, cake, frosting, chocolate shell, and cream. Service was fine, no issues. Parking was a little obnoxious. For the price of items I expected a little more of the interior. I do plan to try them again for the coffee.

First, the seating was noticeably dirty. i ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee, took about 2 sips and the rest was just ice, as you’ll see in the picture. I didn’t expect them to fill the entire cup with ice like that for that price…never had that happen at any other coffee place. I probably would’ve asked for light ice if I had known. As a parent, I like to try new coffee shops and bring my kids along. It’s like a tradition. So I asked about kid-friendly options. The “refresher” they had on the menu is just sparkling water with a splash of syrup and they were charging over $4 for that…It felt like a low-effort drink with a high-effort price. Then I asked if I could just get a small cup of milk for my child, and they said they’d have to charge me the price of a hot chocolate for iThat made absolutely no sense. It wasn’t about the money. Sometimes, a small gesture like offering a splash of milk for a toddler can make a customer feel welcome. Instead, I felt like every little thing was about squeezing money out of customers. The space is also very tight, and overall, the vibe seemed more focused on profit than customer experience. Definitely not a family-friendly spot in my opinion. And won’t be coming back. Too many coffee shops around that doesn’t feel like a rip off.

Excellent iced Americano, but the real joy was in the homemade treats! I had the raspberry/ strawberry cheesecake shaped like a MUSHROOM!! The top part was raspberry cheesecake. The stem is white chocolate with strawberry cheesecake inside. The base is a brownie and the entire thing is a work of art!!!

This coffee shop is more than a coffee shop, it’s an entire experience. They offer a variety of beverages and a bakery case full of unique delicacies that are almost too pretty to eat. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. It’s a great place to catch up with a friend for a coffee date.

Orange marmelade cake is absolutely amazing, but staff was not very friendly or helpful. Came in about 30 minutes before close and younger girl, running the register, seemed irritated that people were still coming in, even though there were plenty of customers still sitting. Took our order, but seemed pretty standoff-ish when talking to us about the order. Ended up just taking the cake and coffee to go. Again, NOTHING was wrong with the food/drinks, but the staff could be nicer. EDIT: It’s funny how Idle Hour is only replying to the more positive reviews… Doesn’t seem like y’all are making much effort to do better, if any at all.

Pastries were very pretty but we were expecting more of a cake consistency and it's a thick gelatin on the inside and an off-putting texture. The purple matcha was good and the Vietnamese coffee was good but they did forget about my drink for awhile after it was done brewing

Place is very cute inside with lots of boutique items to buy. It is however over run with students which is fine except seating can be hard to get and many students for some reason leave their lectures or their phones playing videos loud rather than using headphones. Not sure what that trend is about. That said the cafe was kind enough to use the mug I brought in so I wouldn’t have to waste a cup.

Stopped in on our way home and we'll definitely have to come back! I ordered a Honeysuckle latte and it was excellent. My husband got a Honey latte and loved it. But goodness the breakfast bites are craveworthy! I'll have to try the tomato mozzarella ones next time! It's a cool space with local art and jewelry for purchase.

One of the best things about Lucky tree is all the local art and fares, in addition to the wheat free decadent treats, and creative coffee menu. Great vibe to catch up on emails at your laptop, or chat with friends. We especially love that it's a quick 5 minute walk from the Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, such a lovely way to spend a warm morning, in the midst of all the cool trees, sipping on a delicious beverage and devouring a double chocolate gluten- free muffin!

Srone Cold atmosphere. Asked for a Bullet with cron the side. I got Cream with Coffee. HORRIBLE! I went back they would Not comply with iriginal order. Gave me an espresso shot. They said "We ran out of coffee" yeap! A coffee shoppe ran out of coffee. Left with the espresso I threw away. Lost my money. Breakfast biscuits are totally dried with no taste. We were a group of 10 that purchased a lot of tasteless DRY food. Most was thrown away. Lucky Tree is OUT of Our place to go to when visiting Raleigh again, and for the residents residing there that were with us. Be wise, and spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Very nice vibe at this coffee shop with lots of comfortable tables to work or even read a book, however not overjoyed about the food and drink. Had the coco mocha and biscuit bites. Both not very tasty with biscuit bites being really dry. Also had the banana muffin which was pretty decent.

We ordered cappuccino and tomato basil bites. The coffee tasted excellent and was value for money. The bites were costly and we expected some dip or salsa on the side as they were a little dry. The ambience of the cafe is serene, homely and artistic!

i ordered a shot of espresso and was pretty disappointed by the esperience. the shot had no head to it and the flavor was really odd. the presentation was also odd, as it was given in a 12oz paper cup. i'm not a huge coffee critic but this did leave me feeling like my $2 could have been better spend elsewhere. i also had a banana-nut muffin that tasted a little old, especially at 10am. my impression is that this cafe is exclusively built for students and it probably excells in sweet syrup-y novelty drinks if that's what you're after. tons of seating- which was nice. but the decor felt like it was all purchased from World Market. lots of crystals and beige-forward color schemes. kind of wished i had gone elsewhere.. this just wasn't for me

I stopped in after a nearby run club meetup—it was definitely busy, but the staff handled the rush with a smile and kept things moving efficiently. That said, it’s a good spot for a quick coffee or chat with a friend. The menu is fairly limited, but they did have a couple of specials that added some variety. My drink was well made and hit the spot—nothing mind-blowing, but definitely enjoyable. Overall, it’s a solid coffee option downtown, especially if you're looking for friendly service and a quick caffeine fix.

321 Coffee is such a cozy little gem! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and everything on the menu feels made with love. Hands-down, the best nitro coffee I’ve ever had smooth creamy and sweet with no sugar in it. It’s just natural cold brew.

The coffee here was amazing. The cashier was super nice and friendly and got my coffee needs supplied. It was so amazing. The morning bun and the cinnamon bun or honey bun was awesome too. The outside seating was nice and quiet even with a concert going on behind us. So that was impressive as well. Overall a great spot to relax and have great conversations and coffee of course.

Debbie, Rene, and Shante were absolutely amazing! They got me in and out quickly with a delicious s’mores latte and a warm cinnamon roll. They had great energy, friendly smiles, and even took the time to suggest some tasty options. I had a wonderful conversation with Debbie while my drink was being made—she made the experience even better. Be sure to check them out—they’re doing incredible things! My daughter and I were looking for something warm and indoors when we saw Black & White Coffee inside Videri Chocolate Factory. We were drawn in by the smell, and hung around to try the sipping chocolate! Such a cute little spot to visit. They had a gorgeous looking outdoor space if only it wasn't so wet outside. My husband and I enjoyed coffee and sipping chocolate this morning. I had their pour over which is individually brewed coffee. You have a choice of beans based on what they have available. The restroom requires a code that you can get from staff. The vibe is industrial. This is the same location as Videri chocolate. Parking is on the street and is free around the building.

Way better than Starbucks—no hesitation. Their menu isn’t huge, but what they do offer is on point. The shaded seating area outside with the bamboos is perfect for a first date, especially if she’s into nature vibes. Staff are super friendly—zero judgment, no stuck-up Karens in sight. One of the best coffee I’ve had in a while. I’ve heard about B&W coffee being recommended online a lot by the coffee community, but now I understand why, their funky coffee is so good and unique. The staff are very friendly and this coffee shop has a lovely outdoor area. I’m in town visiting but this place just gave me another reason to go back to visit Raleigh.

Another great place to find quality Black & White pour overs. Inside you will also find a cute little chocolaterie that has solid and hot chocolates to choose from. Inside seating is pretty casual. Small, but nice patio on the side with a fake grass area that I assume is for dogs. Parking can be a bit odd, but there are multiple lots nearby and Commerce street usually has a space or two available

Baristas are wonderful! Hot Chocolate(made with Videri Chocolate) super yummy, Mocha is dreamy, Iced Latte on a hot day paired perfection(several flavors to choose from). We found a new happy place to be yourself and enjoy some heavenly treats. Located inside Videri Chocolate Factory(which offers 2hr free validation parking). You can take a self guided tour of their factory or schedule a guided tour. The people at the Videri Chocolate counter offer free samples, are very knowledgeable, and customer service friendly.

Great spot to grab a latte and get some work done. I tried their decaf mocha and it was okay. Parking is paid, but they validate it here.

I absolutely loved the interior. It was modern and chic and still had personality. Not a lot of seating, but that is expected from a smaller shop. The staff were super nice and I could tell they enjoyed working there. However, the coffee was very overpriced and had nothing special about it. My boyfriend got the caramel latte and said that it kinda tasted like Chinese medicine (whatever that means lol). My drink tasted fine, just not worth $8 for a small. Overall, super cute place and def recommend if you want a nice place to study or meet up with a friend!

A hidden gem in downtown Raleigh! My wife and I are both coffee lovers—we’ve tried coffee from around the world and make our own espresso every morning. While the U.S. has great access to high-quality beans from Central and South America, truly professional coffee shops are still rare to find. BREW was definitely a delightful surprise. We happened to be in the area and decided to stop by. A slightly shy but friendly barista made me a latte and quickly poured a beautiful seahorse latte art—though he modestly said it wasn’t his best. The coffee was rich and full-bodied, with the milk perfectly balanced. The price was very reasonable too. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice little coffee shop in downtown Cary! The coffee is delicious and their seasonal syrup flavors are fun. Nice atmosphere inside but there aren’t any large tables for more than 2 person groups that I saw. There’s also no dedicated parking for this shop which can be frustrating. Overall, I would come back for the yummy coffee and friendly staff.

I only got a matcha here. Was actually impressed by the strength of it, wasn’t too milky or too bitter. There were a few matcha chunks, but not enough to make the drinking experience bad. Free wifi is very fast here and finding a seat to work for a few hours on Sunday morning/afternoon wasn’t bad at all. Will be coming back.

This place is really pretty, airy and modern inside. It's a nice, kid friendly atmosphere. There are sugar free options of drinks and savory treats, if you are limiting your sugar 😉 the unsweet matcha latte is great, not bitter, just right.

This is a really cool coffee shop. You can shop for some new shoes and other running/walking gear while you drink some delicious coffee. I got an iced Latte with sugar free vanilla. It was very good. There is outdoor seating and seating inside at the bar or by the front window. They have pastries to choose from if you want a bite to eat. They sale bagged coffee beans and will grind then for you if needed. This is a must try if you are visiting or live in the area.

Pine State has long been one of my favorite places to go in the city. Through tons of changes, PSC has consistently delivered great coffee. Truly unique atmosphere, friendly staff, eclectic vibe, and all around staple of Raleigh. It’s more than just a coffee shop; it’s a spot where a sense of community still exists, a rare find these days.

Got a Cortado and Iced Latte that were both pretty mid, I’d say the cortado was a little worse than mid. Bags of beans are not dated and going for $22???? Somehow the two drinks ordered took probably over ten minutes even though there was barely anyone in the shop- and it wasn’t great. Vibes were good- but they definitely need to change some things for this to be a coffee shop I’d wanna go back to given the other choices in the area.

I've been on the search to find a decent cold brew coffee in the area, and unfortunately did not find it here. The coffee had a weird burnt taste and not much flavor besides that. The quality did not match the price. The staff wasn't the most friendly either. I've frequented other coffee shops in the area and felt more welcomed.

first time coming in and the chocolate was pretty good! they make them in house which is neat. i liked the lemon chocolate the most. the others were good but a little too rich for my taste. the ice cream with toffee was probably my favorite. soft served ice cream with crunchy bits of toffee. it is on the pricey side but i still enjoyed my experience and the food items nonetheless. the outdoor seating is nice and is dog friendly.

A cute little chocolate shop with a great range of treats — from chocolate snacks to coffees and ice cream. You can even walk around and see the different machines they use to make their chocolate, along with informative signs showing how cacao and coffee beans are made. I went with the chocolate soft serve ice cream covered in cookie dough, and it was absolutely delicious! Would definitely go back. 🍫🍦

Videri chocolate factory is divine. They actually make their chocolates here in this building. You’re able to tour the facility and if you participate in a scavenger hunt you get a chocolate treat for completing it. You’re also able to sample their chocolates, and they have a healthy variety. Most of their chocolates are dairy free. Videri sells chocolates and soft serve ice cream, while inside the same building there is Black and White which sells coffee. The sitting area inside is cozy and they have free WiFi. There is also a nice patio area to sit beside the building and also some benches outside of the entrance. This is a high quality and super friendly local business. They sell the perfect chocolate gifts for your loved ones. If you’re in the area you definitely need to treat yourself here.

A must see! Very cute, self-led, and informative tour. The chocolate tasting was very fun and I was blown away by the flavors. They have coffee, ice cream, truffles, and local gifts in addition to chocolate bars. Excellent staff!

This is a wonderful, cozy spot for coffee and chocolate, but the real star is the handmade soft serve. I highly recommend the swirl—it was absolutely delicious! Topped with whipped cream and blueberry jam, it's an unforgettable treat.

Our last stop before leaving the town! They have really fascinating and elaborate chocolate making machines and educate us every step of the way. You can smell very fragrant and nice chocolate smell the moment you walked through the shop. You can ask for samples too! The lady there was very nice and willing to share more about the chocolates that you're getting. We also got sipping chocolate, which is really interesting because I never had sipping chocolate before! It was thick, a little tangy, but a really nice flavor.

I recently discovered Benelux Caffee, which also goes by El Barista, and it has quickly become my absolute favorite spot! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the most wonderful and friendly staff. They truly make the experience special. The quality here is top-notch. Every drink is prepared with care and skill. I ordered a latte, and it was perfection – the milk was beautifully foamy and steamed to the exact right temperature. It's clear they know what they're doing! On top of that, I tried the bagel with egg, cheese, and turkey. It was served warm and was perfectly toasty without being overdone, exactly how I love it. What really makes this place shine is the incredible staff. They are happy to customize any drink to your liking, and if you're not sure what to get, the baristas give excellent recommendations. The atmosphere is perfect for any season or reason. It’s a fantastic place to grab a refreshing iced drink during the summer or a comforting hot beverage to warm up in the winter. It’s ideal for catching up with friends or for settling in with your laptop to get some work done. I can't recommend Benelux Caffee enough. You won't be disappointed!

The food was very good. The coffee was NOT burnt or bitter, and the waffles were very good. They look far more surgery than they really are. I would return.

I got thr bacon egg and cheese bagel, the bagel was soft and bacon was cooked perfectly. I got an iced white mocha and it was great! They have a variety of drinks and flavorings. Atmosphere is welcoming the easiest way to get there is to pull into the starbucks parking lot and go into the parking deck and take the elevator to the shopping area.

This place is so amazing!! The atmosphere is so cool and gives off the perfect cafe vibe. My cappuccino and bagel were both pretty good, but my partner got the strawberry waffle and hot coco...when I tell you it was out of this world! Especially the hot chocolate, absolutely heavenly! 🫶 10/10 was not disappointed!

Benelux was a cool little cafe! It was super spacious with plenty of seating and work space. The barista who took our order was super cool and helpful and gave me, my friend, and my boyfriend some solid recommendations! We all loved our drinks. We also each got strawberry pancakes and they were delicious! I do have to make a note on how expensive it was. For three drinks, three strawberry waffles, and tip, it ended up being around $50 which was a bit shocking given the small portion of food. We were still pretty hungry after our visit and had to find other food shortly after. Apart from that last note, the service was still amazing. I would come back for the coffee and other specialty drinks, but I probably won't be ordering food from Benelux anymore.

The last time I was in the Cameron District in Raleigh, I wanted a coffee, so I tried the Benelux Cafe. I ordered a Sugar Free Vanilla Latte. It was excellent. There was no bitter taste, and the ratio between the shots, flavoring, and milk was on point. They did a great job with the atmosphere for what it is, but I will never understand why builders sometimes locate the bathrooms on a flat wall facing where people sit and, in this case, very close to the preparation area. I mean, one table is within a few feet from a bathroom door. Anyway, the coffee is delicious, and they also offer food if you are hungry. This Cafe is a must-try if you want a delicious coffee.

I ordered an Horchata Latte and Avocado toast, and to be honest the latte is not good, I was expecting a rich creamy latte but it was more milky and less flavor of the espresso. But I would still go back there for their very good service and ambiance, it’s in a nice location , clean, and has a spacious and aesthetic indoor and has some outdoor seating too! It’s nice spot to study or even work on your laptop.

I decided to come by this morning right before heading into work. Because why not! I liked the vibes inside! Super chill, kinda pleasant and friendly kinda.. I came alone and kinda felt alone but Tee at the register was really kind as I shared this is my first time here. Recommended a delish hot drink that I demolished as I pulled into my work parking lot. I love avacado toast and I got a blueberry muffin thing. Sometimes when you come to places alone - me I like to feel weekend, I kinda felt that way but I plan to come back soon.

We decided to check this place out after gaining dog-eared, one of our favorite bookstores. This place had lots of seating and would be a wonderful place to study or hang out. We didn’t get any food so I can’t speak to that. The latte we ordered was good. The books are a nice touch but people go here for the coffee and space more than for books.

A Raleigh coffee and biscuit cafe with gluten free biscuits. They have a lovely outdoor patio to enjoy a coffee and relax under some shade. The biscuit of choice, a bacon, egg and pimento cheese biscuit. One of my favorites and NoRa Cafe did a great job. The cinnamon honey coffee was also great!

Nora cafe is one of our absolute favorite coffee shops in Raleigh. My partner and I go on coffee dates here and it is always packed! With good reason; friendly baristas, a family filled atmosphere, wonderful coffee, and even better pastries. I’m so thankful we live down the road! Today I accidentally ordered the wrong pastry and the barista (they had short black hair) let me keep the wrong pastry AND gave me the one I wanted. I felt so bad for asking and they were sooo kind about it and made me feel like I wasn’t inconveniencing the shop at all. Being treated with respect by such kindhearted people is one of the big reasons I keep coming back. Thank you to all the staff at Nora for doing a 20/10 job every time we come in. Bonus: a plethora of $3 books to peruse and buy!

The best lil coffee shop is right here in Raleigh! I've been coming to NoRa ever since I moved here and while the furniture and drink menu have changed many times, the quality stays top-notch. I really appreciate a good seasonal menu and their drinks are so creative. They also do fun events and art exhibits; once we went to a crossword competition, and we did not win, but we had a great time!!!

This is my go to local coffee shop in Raleigh! Each time I stop in, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful when looking for drink recommendations. Each coffee I've tried has been amazing, and has the perfect amount of flavor as well (not overly sweet, and not too strong either). I also love how they offer such a wide variety of food options, and all of them are so delicious. Whether you are looking for a place to work remotely, or want to meet a friend for a coffee date, this is the spot to go!

Their campfire mocha is the best mocha I ever had! So creamy and nutty. They have small bite options as well. It has a nice ambient interiors good for sitting and working.

Extremely delicious ham and cheese croissant! And the vibes are excellent. If you miss the Global Village Coffeehouse aesthetic from the 1990s and 2000s, this is the place for you! Think lots of earthy colors, sculptures, paintings, and music like Norah Jones, Jack Johnson, Sixpence None the Richer, and the Goo Goo Dolls for that aesthetic. The place was busy, but the guy behind the counter still found a few minutes to have a conversation and seemed genuinely interested that I drove 90 minutes to be there. It was worth it!

Best coffee and baristas ever. Global village will always have a sweet spot in my heart, not just for the products but for the nostalgia. I love this place and I'm sure you'll love it too. It was my first stop being going to work every day. Best mornings started with this place.

They're gonna put Starbucks out of business, mark my words. The ambience in there is so cool and classy, and LIVE chill guitar music? the vibe doesn't get more impressive in a coffee house.

I thought the actual coffee here was kinda mid. Didn’t have any special flavors, but I will say I’m not a fan of beans from the place they source their’s (I totally forgot what country it was) so your mileage will vary. Great vibes, not a super big coffee shop so you may have trouble getting a table to do work at.

The tea was good and the barista’s were kind but I probably wouldn’t eat anything from here again. I wanted to try their orange spice muffins and the only ones they had available were exposed and sitting on top of the display case. I asked one of the baristas how long they had been sitting there and she told me for three hours. We are still in the middle of a pandemic so leaving food uncovered for so long is a bit concerning. The muffin I did get ‘to go’ turned out to still be raw and uncooked in the middle. I wish I had tried the muffin before I left the shop but no one really expects to be ordering a half uncooked baked good from a cafe. The panini was just okay still a little cold inside. They heat up all their baked goods in a little microwave so maybe that’s why.

A wonderful little coffee spot with a charming character and clean interior. Different types of seating options for various groups. The music is just the right mixture of tunes and the volume set just right. I got a Golden Milk Latte (a tumeric infused latte), a Caffe Saigon (a Vietnamese coffee), and a caprese sandwich. They pressed the sandwich heating it up and toasting the bread, a nice addition. All the food served is made by the kitchen staff and not brought in, in accordance to the friendly woman at the register whose name I was too rude to ask. Update: Went back again and the staff were just as wonderful as the last time. I ordered a Sunflower milk mocha, which was out of this world. Who would have thought you could make "milk" from sunflowers. Also interesting point, their chocolate is dairy free.

Came here intrigued by the different flavor options. It was a cute little shop with lots of seating. There were a lot more options beyond coffee including teas, milkshakes, ice cream, etc. Since it was a hot day I opted for the Honey Cream Cold Brew. It wasn't very busy but it took quite a while to get my drink. Not too big of a deal since I wasn't in a hurry. However when I finally got my drink I was soooo disappointed. I guess my first mistake was thinking it would be a regular cold brew with honey cream cold foam or something on top. No it was a premixed liquid coffee so no rich color or layers to it. And then the taste was even more disappointing. It tasted like a watered down McDonald's iced coffee. No rich taste of cold brew and very muted honey taste that had more of a sickly sweet sugar flavor than anything. If you've had the liquid sugar in a coffee before you know exactly what I am talking about. It is so overly sweet it's almost unpalatable. But considering I paid over $7 for it I'm forcing myself to drink it. The quality is so bad I can't ever see myself coming back and risking getting another terrible coffee.

Deja Brew is one of our Saturday staples - we grab breakfast sandwiches from Morning Rolls across the parking lot and then swing through the drive thru for coffee and chai. The chai is amongst my favorites - better than Starbucks! A little more spiced and their nugget ice rocks. We love it!

Deja Brew is hands-down one of the best coffee spots in NC, and a big part of that is thanks to Kiki! Every time I come in, she makes the experience feel personal and welcoming. Her customer service is absolutely top-tier—she remembers faces, greets you with genuine warmth, and goes above and beyond to make sure your drink is exactly the way you like it. The atmosphere at Deja Brew is already cozy and inviting, but Kiki takes it to another level. She’s quick, attentive, and has this positive energy that makes you want to come back again and again. It’s rare to find someone who truly elevates a place just by being there, but Kiki does exactly that. If you’re in NC and haven’t stopped by Deja Brew yet, you’re missing out. Great coffee, great vibes, and superior customer service thanks to Kiki!

This is the second time I have went to this coffee shop and they have given me the most watered down drink available. With the consistency being basically sweet milk with. I coffee at all. Is there any actual good coffee locations in the area.

stopped by for a coffee and muffin, but the experience was a bit disappointing. The muffin tasted old and not very fresh. I ordered the pine-flavored coffee, and when my cup was only half full, the barista took the pump out of the thermos and poured the remaining coffee directly into my cup. It came out just warm rather than hot, which made it seem like it had been sitting for a while. I would have appreciated if a fresh pot had been brewed instead. Hopefully, this feedback helps improve the quality and consistency for future customers.

I don't know what has happened within the last few months. But, this coffee house has removed the pricing from their menu and won't honor their pricing online. That's a red flag. My wife always purchases a matcha or cold brew. Last week the matcha was like mud. It didn't have any sweetener and the powder was extremely heavy. My wife made three drinks from this one at home lol. And the cold brew was watered down. I've managed a business that served cold brew and the consistency was never that light. I think we may start going down to the Starbucks or bigby nearby. Well, until a new coffee house pops up.

Great coffee shop in downtown Apex! It is cozy and inviting with super cute decor. It is also mug galore (but they are pricey), but really fun to look at. They also sell a lot of handmade items. There are many sweets to choose from and their coffees are delicious! They have a wide variety of teas as well. The gelato is so smooth and yummy. You can take it to go or have a seat inside or enjoy the outdoor tables!

Not what we expected. I appreciate that they roast their own coffees and have a fun menu (Hogwarts themed specials). However, the cayenne mocha I ordered didn’t have balance and I couldn’t taste the chocolate notes at all. Great iced vanilla latte and blueberry muffin, but the scone was not fresh and stodgy. I appreciate them allowing me to swap for a different drink. Inside is cute but busy, thankfully there’s seating outside and next door in the promenade. They do serve ice cream and desserts, if you’re looking for a family friendly place to grab coffee & something sweet.

I love getting coffee drinks and matcha lattes at Common Grounds. The staff is always so friendly and the drinks are made perfectly. They offer fresh pastries, gelato and many drink options. There is indoor and outdoor seating.

Definitely worth visiting this wonderful cafe place in downtown. Multiple options for coffee (cayena mocha is popular), frappe, and smoothies in various sizes. Welcoming atmosphere with warm and cozy vibe. There is plenty of seating space and staff is courteous and friendly. We also ordered a blueberry danish and it was delicious.

Obsessed is an understatement. I love coming here for the mushroom matcha with lavender syrup. The pastries are amazing and the truffles are great. I love the quirky nature of this coffee shop…the decor and the gifts they sell are cool! Definitely a gem if you’re a coffee / sweets lover☕️🥐

Cool little coffee shop that serves small bites. Coffee was really good. I didn’t make any additions to it which is not the norm for me. Was surprised by the size of the waffle but it was tasty. It’s not your average waffle it’s thicker and more dense. It was almost too hard though. The biscuit was good. But the apple butter was a little more spicier than I like. Would go back.

Fantastic latte every single time! Highly recommend the Banana Nutella waffle or the bacon egg & cheese biscuit. Everything is so fresh and you can tell the love and care they put into everything they make. I come here way too often and bring all my friends.

It's funny. I pass by this place all the time looking for a new cafe to try but never really noticed it until Google maps recommended it. It doesn't stand out too much. Well I've been here twice now and let me tell you. The weekend is busy and full of people because of how popular they are so I recommend going during the week 💖 My first time was full of people and I couldn't really enjoy it ( it's a small place and not fit for very large groups but it was a weekend so I don't blame Jubala). The people were still very nice but I could tell they were rushed to make my drink and it wasn't the best. My second trip: Soo much better!!! The people were as nice and chilled back ( it was on a week day and not many people were there so I think they were able to take their time) also the layout is very planet friendly. I ordered my go to, an iced Vallina large latte. At first look, it's nice and has a cute logo. 10 out of 10. Now first taste? It wasn't the best but maybe it just needed more ice because the more I sipped the more I enjoyed it and realized it was cold just tasted warm at the top!? It's creamy and you could taste the vanilla though it's not as strong as other drinks. All in and All. It was still good and It was only 6 dollars (this is plus tax) with a tip making 7 dollars. Fairy priced. I recommend it if you want to treat yourself on a hot day which you know is common in NC July. ☕

I went to Jubala with my girlfriend for a morning coffee date and we both really liked it. The coffee was great and there were a ton of options to choose from, though we both went with lattes. We also got a biscuit that was pretty good, but the apple butter completely stole the show. The place itself is really cute and it’s right near the NC State bell tower, which makes it a perfect little stop in the morning. The service was friendly even though they were a bit busy, so overall it was a really nice experience. I’d definitely come back for another latte and more of that apple butter.

The coffee and food here are exceptional, especially in the last couple years. The biscuit sandwiches are good-size and very tasty. The coffee is phenomenal. I had a delicious shot of espresso here that had incredibly fruity notes. I love having this place so close to my work.

Great coffee and food in an amazing location! Jubala is one of the best shops in the area. The drinks are superb, service is fast, people are nice, and the atmosphere is authentic and clean. Good layout with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Bathrooms are kind of small and hard to find. Wifi can be spotty at times. When I 'work-from-home' here I always bring a hotspot. Cellphone service is better outside than inside. Plenty of outlets along the wall to charge your computer.

I tried the honey vanilla latte today, and it was absolutely incredible. The first thing I noticed was the inviting aroma a warm blend of sweet honey and soft vanilla that felt comforting from the first whiff. The taste was perfectly balanced: smooth, creamy espresso with just the right touch of natural honey sweetness and a hint of vanilla that wasn’t overpowering. Every sip felt silky, and the honey left a gentle, lingering sweetness on the palate.

Had a Bee Sting and Lavendar latte as well as the sausage and egg creaant. The food was pleasantly on the spicier side than I was expecting. There is an upstairs for sitting and a very nice bathroom with a view.

Nice peaceful location, which is surprising being across the street from train tracks. Cute on the inside with an open flow, and stairs leading to seating, as well as tables outside. I was very happy withy coffee, which was a basic hot brew w/2 espresso shots. The everything bagel wasn't to my liking, but I grew up on Long Island in the 80s & 90s, so that's a hard standard to meet :) will definitely go back for a cup'o'joe! My company got a latte which she liked very much, as well as a ham & cheese croissant which looked tasty!

The atmosphere and overall vibe of this cafe is so welcoming! From the mural on the outside, artwork on the inside with the hardwood floors to the comfortable seating throughout this cafe is everything you could want in a cafe. We enjoyed a Lavender Blossom latte and a Bee Sting latte. They were delicious.

Just no, do not go here, end of story, they are just bad people bad service and disgusting food, refused to get a manager for a missed order of tenders and refused to fix it. Got security because I tried to fight it, and was BANNED from the museum for doing so. Add to that, they do not allow service animals and used that agenst me to help remove me. Do not go there. If they do not like you, you will be banned! (Pick is also the other tenders we did get, only 3 when should be 5, and 3 times smaller then they should be and a small meet of frys. Badbad place, end of story..)

A convenient FIVE STAR stop at The Daily Planet before touring the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh (with toddler). Our lunch consisted of Fish & Chips (crispy flounder, french fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce); Southwestern Caesar Salad topped with fried chicken strips (romaine, parmesan, crispy tortilla strips, avocado, tomato and chipotle caesar); and a PB&J sandwich with fruit cup. The Daily Planet Cafe is locally operated and adjacent to the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. Indoor or outdoor seating is available. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, beer, wine, smoothies and Larry's Coffee. Desserts, too...

Lovely Cafe on site, such a perfect place for a snack! It even serves employees. kid meal options are available. The food tasted good. Cheeseburger was somewhat small.

I absolutely love coming here literally every week! The iced mocha coffee is so nice, the smoothies and the food is top tier and always crafted to perfection! The staff especially the young lady named Mikyla I believe, was pleasant and courteous! A must try!

Unfortunately I was completely underwhelmed by the food. I got the chicken salad sandwich, which had a slice of pre sliced cheese that tasted like plastic, and someone else in my group got the chicken tenders, which were also super underwhelming. The fries and sweet potato tots were great in comparison, but the meal put me off so much I barely wanted to eat them. Great environment and generally very clean, but the food was just not good.

It used to be good, but now they have no wall mounted menu, and they expect you to scan an online menu with your phone to figure out what they have. Sorry, but that's an instant fail for me. I refuse to go to any restaurant that requires you to have a phone and make a data connection just to read their $_-$€¥ menu. I won't be returning until they bring back the menu on the wall.

We strolled into what we thought would be a cozy café, only to realize we accidentally entered the annex of a museum daycare—lattes served with a complimentary soundtrack of squeals, stroller wheels, and juice-box negotiations. Some sandwiches are delicate symphonies of flavor; but their vegetarian chicken sandwich was a percussion solo on a steel drum. It resisted, it pushed back, it dared to prove commitment to lunch. You don't eat it so much as survive it—and honestly, I think it will always win. The other sandwich claiming to be Chipotle chicken, unfortunately it's more like opening a novel titled The Spicy Adventure only to find 300 blank pages. It wasn’t bad, exactly—it was just aggressively un-chipotle. A culinary catfish, if you will. Oh and thank you, dear café, for not telling me my sandwich already came with fries, and then so graciously letting me order another pile. Now I have enough cold fries to start a side hustle. Exactly the dining experience I had in mind when I walked in. Dining here is like a low-stakes adventure: you will not be disappointed, you will not be thrilled, and you may emerge slightly drier than when you arrived. Bring your expectations, leave them somewhere else, and enjoy the safe, lukewarm ride. Cheers!

Such a wonderful little spot located right downtown! The decor and atmosphere is amazing, not to mention the delicious sandwiches and not your run-of-the-mill menu. The alpine sandwich and couscous are delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a stop in.

Very friendly place with a great selection of vegan sandwiches. A plate is affordable and more than enough to get you filled. At least it was in my case. I had a BBQ sandwich that I uploaded a photo about. The double espresso wasn't too strong and oily. I sat in around 8 a.m. and by 9 the place was almost full already. Many of the guests seemed regular, the guy behind the bar seemed to know many of them, which gave the whole place a homely vibe. The decoration is cool, retro, artsy and kind of international. Good experience all together.

This is my favorite restaurant in Raleigh. Their sandwiches are so delicious, the bread is so crisp, and the sides are a bang for your buck. You get so much food with your sandwich. The chickpeas and couscous are sooo flavorful and some of the best I’ve ever had.

Truly a gem of a location. The boss lady is a FANTASTIC being. My go to is the dude where’s my ChikN sandwich. So darn delicious makes me want to eat my little fingers every time. Literally jam packed with flavor. I recommend this place to all vegans. Simply put, it’s fantastic people making fantastic food.

Wonderful cafe with delicious coffee. I tried the speciality, Minkicinno, and it was amazing. Great espresso too! The food is delicious with generous portions. I loved the chickpea side salad. The service was helpful, friendly, and attentative! They brought a liter of ice water so I really appreciated that. There is outside seating with a nice atmosphere and comfy inside seating. I recommend!

Sosta Cafe is a chill place that serves great tasting food at a reasonable price. The people there are friendly and the cafe is decorated in an simple, but elegant, decor. I couldn't help but notice the attractively unusual lighting chandelier over the counter area. From what we gathered, the staff and/or proprietor have been at it in this location for some thirty years. Businesses don't, typically, survive that long unless they're doing something right!

This place is a sacred vestige of what I want in a cafe: flavorful and healthy food options, great coffee, unique music and a really cozy atmosphere (plus friendly staff! Owner Jerome is so kind and welcoming). I lived next to Sosta when it first opened in 2006 and would go very often. Fast forward 18 years: I live a little east of downtown and rarely eat downtown anymore. But today I was in dire need of quality sustenance and a quiet place to work (after losing every ounce of my energy chaperoning a field trip at Marbles Kids Museum nearby 🤪). I was beyond delighted to see that Sosta was still in business! Walking in was like time had stood still since their early days, in the most comforting way. The vegan sides were exactly how I remembered them and just what my body needed. I loved my vegan BBQ sandwich, the ultimate comfort food. I visited at the end of their day so it wasn’t too busy, and the service was also crazy fast. You won’t regret stopping by!

I love this café! ☕️💻 I'm new in Raleigh and it's hard finding a good spot to work and get a great coffee. Their sandwich was really good. I had the Return of the Turkey and it was so yummy! 🥪😍 The coffee was amazing and let me tell you, I'm very picky with my coffee but they really know how to make a good one. 👏 The customer service is top-notch and they truly make you feel at home. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. 🫶 Overall, if you’re looking for a place to work, grab a bite, and enjoy a great cup of coffee, check them out.

My husband and I just moved here couple weeks ago from South Florida. We both love their coffee. My latte was really smooth and actually tasted the coffee in it. My husband had the Cortado and was very pleased with it. I also had the smoked salmon everything bagel, which was amazing. Overall we enjoyed the place and the service was personable.

Always drive by this place and I wanted to give it a shot. I got a 16oz iced white chocolate mocha, and a bec on sourdough. The coffee was good, the sandwich, however, was not good, there was no flavor to anything the eggs, bread, bacon was rubbery. Also, I was only given half of a sandwich because the "bread is really large" and breakfast sandwiches they only give you half but lunch sandwiches you get the full sandwich is what the person on the phone said. I can understand, but when you are charging almost $8 at least price accordingly.

Locally-owned coffee shop that serves counter-culture coffee. I got the brewed coffee, which was good. The service was quick and friendly. For me, the big drawback is the atmosphere. Seating is worn, a pile of chairs blocks an unused door, old coffee equipment gathering dust in former self service coffee station, the hum from the compressor of an industrial fridge placed near my booth. I feel great coffee should be complimented by a warm, comfortable seating environment. Unfortunately, not the case here. This shop has a lot of potential. Keep the delicious, high quality coffee, and provide the dine-in customer with a better experience.

Good coffee and fresh acai bowls in a clean and open setting. Breakfast was reasonably quick to come out and tasty with reasonable prices. Good for something light and fresh.

Stopped by for coffee and we were pleasantly surprised - regular and matcha lattes were good and tried one of the Norwegian pancakes. They have a drive thru but only for pick up orders, which we'll try out next time

I think I've found my new happy place to be! The baked items are just amazing so far. The coffee items are spot on! The staff I've encountered are polite and pleasant if not a little frazzled but they are a busy place. The panini I had was a disappointment so I'm taking a star away for that ~ otherwise I can't recommend this place enough. The ambience is fantastic as well. Seating outside. Go, try and love. ❤️👍🏽

Nice, calm, slow paced little deli restaurant. Breakfast coffee cookies and lunch. Not much selection, but what they do offer is well done! Pricey. Calm, no hurry experience. Do not expect fast food! Nice quality at a calm pace.

Hereghty is an awesome atmosphere with a cool hang out space outside. They have regular coffee along with all of the other fancy coffees. Lots of sweets in the case to choose from.

I haven't been in a while, but let me tell you - the arugula baguette? TO DIE FOR - the Nutella beignet? ERMERGERSH - and the doughnuts? Ughhhh. Seriously, can you all open one in Cary? Please? Pretty pretty please? :'(

This is my fourth time to this cafe in the past year(ish). Customer service was pleasant and quick. Only one employee was working (out front) and we were third customers in line with several others already in the cafe. She took our orders, prepped coffee and pastries, brought items out to customers, and tidied up and restocked, all while being polite. Today I brought my husband. He’s super picky about cheesecake and he immediately said, this is good. I actually had to make him repeat himself because I was surprised he enjoyed it enough to comment. I love the pastries and coffee here. Today I had a cream puff and cappuccino. The coffee is consistently delicious. And each of the parties I’ve tried have been delightful. ETA: their current sanitation rating is 97.5 so don’t be deterred by outdated reviews. It appears they took the bad rating to heart and have (literally) cleaned up their act.

Amazing experience! I've been three times and it's always great. Very reasonable prices, the drinks especially are super affordable and very good. The cats are very well behaved and sweet. You can also easily access information of the cats because it's pinned to the wall, so you know all their names and ages! It's a small venue, but the limit they set feels very reasonable and it doesn't get crowded (6 people per seating). It's awesome to go with friends! Highly recommend!

Love it so much here! Had an amazing time and staff are so so friendly!! Really love that it’s woman-owned and lgbtq+ owned. Makes the environment feel very safe and welcoming. Enjoyed the cute little things to buy out front, as well. I could stay here all day long! Definitely coming back often!! Wish I could adopt Calamari, but I have too many cats already. I see most reviews are complaining about reservations, but that’s literally on the cat cafes website and social medias, so it’s your own fault if you show up as a walk in and they are too busy/unable to let you see the cats, that’s why they recommended numerous times to reserve!!! You have no problem seeing the cats if you reserve!!! Come on people use your common sense!! You can’t complain a place that tells you reservations are usually needed was unable to attend to you when you decided to do a walk-in, which means you chose that risk, but want to complain about the place?! Just make the reservation and you’ll have a great time!

Went here over the weekend and gosh was just the most darling experience! First - all drinks are vegan which makes my dairy free heart so happy, and they were delicious! We got the cinnamon latte and the matcha and both were amazing. So it’s worth a stop even if you’re just popping in for a drink! The cat section is very cute. It’s a small cafe but clearly run with love - the cats are behind a heavy door to prevent any escapee artists. They have a selection of cute little games for the humans to play and when we went the kitties were all extremely sleepy, chill and seemed very relaxed and happy! We got to sit for an hour with our drinks, observe the kitties, get a few pets in and enjoy the ambiance. They have two big air purifiers running to help with the kitty litter smells and tick the box on having an accessible ramp for disabilities! I loved the soft seating bench and the kitties did too. Very affordable for a reservation ($12 Saturday at time of posting) and they have a sliding scale where weekdays are even cheaper. For the negative reviews moaning about having to book and pay - do you even care about the cats? Boo! This isn’t a circus, it’s a cat cafe run with love and a little donation to visit the kitties is well spent! It clearly goes right back into their care. I highly recommend if you’re in need of a good drink, and some excellent relaxation time!

My girlfriend booked us an appointment at the cat cafe, and upon arriving we instantly felt safe. The staff were very kind, and the merch was super cute! We got a cat coaster and 2 matching stickers with our pride flags. The cats were well behaved and soooo cute. After our session was over, we got drinks. In honor of pride month we got 2 of the June-only drink specials (lemonade and lavender matcha), which were delicious! When we ordered the person behind the counter joked at us a bit, “ah yes, the two lesbian drinks” and that was the highlight of our day! Amazing and safe place for queer couples looking for a cute date :)

Absolutely wonderful space! Not only is it a calm and welcoming place but the cats are a great time and the coffee is superb as well. Can recommend for those looking to spend time with cats, those who want to see cats, and those who simply want fantastic beverages. ☕

Booked time in the cat room with my family. What a wonderful experience getting to enjoy a delicious drink while socializing with rescue cats. Staff was so positive and kind to us even though we couldn’t adopt. They’re happy for the kitties to have playtime and be pampered with love. The seasonal drinks were fantastic and the baked goods delicious. Grabbed a ton of unnecessary but adorable stickers and pins. I couldn’t resist. Plan on stopping in often even though not living nearby.

We love spending time at Purr Cup Cafe!! They really care about the wellbeing of their kitties and it awesome to be able to reserve time to spend with the kitties! I’m chronically ill and don’t get out of the house much, but it’s such a relaxing setting and I always choose to go there when my birthday rolls around. The staff are awesome. All of their drinks are vegan too which is amazing. They have such a cute little shop as well. I highly recommend to anyone who loves cats! Also they have events throughout the year and food trucks there at times. It’s a very c cozy place to hang out.

I stopped by Press and had a great experience! I ordered the caramel latte—it was so good, smooth and just the right amount of sweetness. We also got the avocado toast, which was fresh and delicious. Customer service was excellent. Our server was super nice and attentive, which made the visit even better. I really liked the vibe inside—quiet, clean, and cozy. The outdoor seating area looked really nice too, but unfortunately it was raining during our visit. I’d definitely love to come back and enjoy that space on a sunnier day. Prices were reasonable, and there’s a paid parking lot right in front of the cafe, which makes things convenient. Overall, I’ll definitely be coming back!

Treat yourself to something here! What a delightful new surprise in Glenwood South. Feels a bit like a European place. Loved the Cardamom earl Grey latte and recommend an extra espresso shot. They have GF buckwheat crepe options as well as other gf breads and gugelhupf croissants (not gf). I got a savory gf crepe. Deliciously fresh veggies and cheese. Huge. The gf buckwheat tastes better as a sweet crepe imo. (I got a sample of maple syrup to test it). Quality creamery milk, and lovely service. Ask for Olivia! Best server I've experienced in years.

The food was phenomenal. The service upon first arriving was great. However, that soon changed. We never got our coffee refilled, had to ask several times for cream for the coffee we did get. The server skipped over our table several times, she was socializing. And the thing that drove me absolutely crazy, she kept pulling at the crotch area of her already too short shorts because they kept riding up. Normally I base my tip on whether you can keep up with my coffee consumption. ☕️This just added fuel to the fire. Please stop with this experience. I’m not sure that I would revisit this particular establishment.

Excellent experience. I got here right after they opened but I still received prompt and friendly service. My crepe was well made with quality ingredients and my coffee was great as well. I don’t think I’d come here often as it is a lot for breakfast relative to what I normally eat, but it’s certainly worth going to. There was plenty of seating here as well but I’m curious if they ever fill up.

It’s sooo cute in here. We had great service as well. Food was very enjoyable but didn’t knock my socks off with variety. It could also be that I’m not a huge crepe person. But coffee was yummy! I would definitely go back.

Lisa is hands-down one of the best bartenders at Press. She’s incredibly skilled, makes top-tier cocktails, and brings amazing energy to the bar. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first visit, Lisa makes you feel right at home. Her attention to detail, great conversation, and warm personality make every drink better. If you've been thinking about going here, quit thinking and just GO!! I stopped by for brunch, but someone devoured my food before I could take a photo. 🫣 🤷🏽‍♀️ The ginger and turmeric latte and the steak and egg crêpe were delicious and kept me full the entire day. The staff were all so friendly and kind. I can't wait to return the next time I'm in Raleigh.

I was greeted upon entering this place, the food and drinks all look delicious! I got a frozen Java chip drink with coffee that was good! My partner got a churro sundae and couldn’t put it down once he took a bite! Simply sublime! They have a free parking lot in front of the store, about 5 or so tables and chairs inside. They have a changing table in the women’s bathroom and the bathrooms are very clean!

Food was good fruit was fresh many kit pancakes we're on point. Please get this waffle was really good too. If you get waffle, tell them to not put in box. Very hard to cut ✂️ 😁

The coconut horchata would be perfect if it had less sugar, it just has too much and I had to take it home to water it down. The macaroons were delicious. Service was quick and professional.

This is such an eclectic coffee shop! The decor is so whimsical and spooky! The baristas were sweet and friendly. I bet this place looks extremely different at night. We went there for a quick cuppa coffee, but from the looks of it, the back room opens up for concerts and the decor is scary and dark. Overall love places like this which are locally owned and cater to a variety of folks!

Very interesting place inside. Went last night to a goth prom night. Loads of people attended. Tons of mix music, love how there was two rooms for things. One for dance floor, and second area for the bar area. Few tables to sit, loved the decor. The coffin ⚰️ ⚰️ area for where takes photo was great touch. They even has a food truck

In addition to coffee, shop serves beer, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Power outlets available along the walls and good wifi. location can get a little crowded and loud. Both indoor and covered outdoor seating.

My kids and I wanted to try a new coffee shop to us. We were up in the North Raleigh area, so we figured we'd give this one a shot. This place is definitely much less of an actual book store and more of a coffee/brew shop. Cool atmosphere and location. It was packed when we were in there on a Sunday, so that's a good sign that it's a popular spot. They do offer Oat milk as a plant based option for their coffee drinks, which I definitely appreciated. They have some in house tea drinks as an alternative to coffee, which was great because I don't give coffee to the youngest teenager yet. Two of us got the Blood Orange iced tea drink and the other two got lattes. We really enjoyed the teas and one of the teens loved the latte. The other teen wasn't impressed with her mocha latte because she said the powder was stuck in the bottom. So my guess is that the mocha latte doesn't work well as an iced option. I did ask about their food options. While they do offer quite a few gluten free options to all of their food options, they don't offer any vegan options, which is really disappointing. Therefore, I couldn't try any of their food to give feedback on that. In today's day and age, it seems a bit odd to not have any vegan options, so I wasn't thrilled with them from that perspective. Overall, the place is cool, but they really need to expand their offerings to cater to more dietary restrictions in order for someone like me to rate them higher.

Ah I had such high hopes for this place. It wasn’t bad at all just a few things that were disappointing. Firstly the good: great beer options on tap. Feels more like a place to go for beer. Wish they had more books. It doesn’t feel much like the bookstore it’s marketed as. Just a corner of bookshelves. Would have loved bookshelves around the place to give it a real atmosphere. My biggest gripe was with the tea. The “loose leaf” tea is not actually loose leaf. It comes in tea bags and is very expensive for what it is. As someone who drinks a lot of tea and who is used to ordering and getting real loose leaf tea this was incredibly disappointing. Felt massively overpriced. Lots of easy ways to rectify this. Would also have liked to see vegan options on the menu. Another reviewer pointed this out too. Very disappointed by that.

Glad I tried this coffee shop in North Raleigh! Lots of yummy breakfast and lunch options. Lunch starts at 11am and I got a half sandwich, half salad which was a lot of food! Absolutely adorable cafe and well suited for a variety of groups. We visited on a Friday evening and saw everything from DND parties to college study groups and even some couples stopping in for dinner. Didn't have a chance to sample any of their food menu, though I loved all the Lord of the Rings references. We ordered two half pints and a cannoli affogato at the bar and pursued the book section for a while. Would love to come back some time with a larger group and try some of the board games. Overall, a really unique spot and a great addition to the community. We will be stopping by again

Beautiful, laid back family atmosphere. There were retired people having coffee and mothers with babies as well. Good selection of beer and wine and the coffee is less expensive and way better than you know who. I got the both breakfast and lunch there and really enjoyed the food. Great place to meet friends for a laid back meal or coffee.

Wake N Bakery Raleigh is an infused bakery, and one of the coolest places around. The decor and vibe inside is inviting, comfortable, and intriguing; the perfect place to relax featuring comfortable chairs and sofas. They also have some board games so it’s a great place to hang out. I was thoroughly impressed by the vegan baked goods. Not only did they take an edible and make it so you can’t even tell it is (no after taste), but they also made some of the products vegan and again, can’t even tell. They serve a variety of beverages that you can choose to infuse if you want. So even if you don’t want to partake you can still come get a beverage and enjoy the environment. This would be a great spot to have an open mic so keep that in mind, WnBR.

Rip off I bought the blue raspberry gummies and it doesn’t do anything I’m not sure if this is a bad batch or what because I eat 10 mg gummies from my local smoke shop and these are supposed to be 20 mg a gummy tried 4 times still nothing I'm convinced that these are regular candy I don’t smoke or anything just eat gummies occasionally so I don’t have a high tolerance

I saw this cute spot via TikTok and headed to check it out. I was first super happy to find this spot. I’m not sure if it’s a Black owned business the human who helped me was the TikTok account owner. They were helpful, funny, and super friendly. I mentioned I found it on social media and we chatted about the whole experience. I’m an everyday regular when it comes to the herb so I got that biggest dose I could get in a Pistachio Iced Coffee for me. My hubby got the medium dose in a Strawberry Iced Lemonade and a Moonpie cookie. The space is dope, and it was packed when we went on a regular Saturday afternoon. It’s pricey, for 2 dose drinks, 1 regular icy, and 2 sweet treats (they actually did have non infused items too- which is great because my kiddo was present) I spent $119. So just be careful how you’re adding the fixings to your order. I think it took me about 30 minutes to drink my coffee and within a hour I was the full spectrum of the dosage I bought. I was on cloud nine for at least 4 hours and it was lovely! 😊 I’d definitely go again and would definitely recommend it to anyone! They had something for everyone (including board games at each table)

Went on a Saturday night around 8, & I highly advise DO NOT COME during that time. I didn’t leave the establishment til about 9:45. It was hard to find parking. Cars were being towed. The line was out the door. Once you got in it was like another line which was like a maze. So awkward and insane. They need another register possibly so the line can go faster. A lot of the items were sold out by time I made it to place my order. I spent about $60 on a cookie, brownie, and a large infused 100 mg lemonade. Not sure if it was THC or CBD but I feel like for what I spent I should have been feeling lit. Unfortunately I was not. Honestly I felt like it was a waste of time & money. Just call your local dealer for a real HIGH.

Been to a lot of cafe but I don't know why this one felt like home. Jazz on the background, smooth, perfectly roasted coffee bean. After long time, I felt all the real taste of an espresso, everything was balanced the bitterness, sweetness, acidity and that intense aroma with a dark brown cream on the top. Finally I have my crush, can't wait to go back.

Really great coffee shop, they roast their own beans, have delightful pastries from local bakers, and even a really solid light kitchen for sandwiches and biscuits and such. Atmosphere is great - sort of between a small dive shop and a Starbucks - it’s a little bigger with some more polish, but still feels friendly. The owners (husband and wife) are humble and fun to talk with. They also have a great patio for outside seating. Multiple vegan, dairy free, and gluten free options too!

As soon as I found out about this place I knew I had to go. I decided to take my sister as a Birthday surprise and we had the most lovely time (there were 5 total in our party). There was a slight hiccup with booking through the open table app (it’s better to book directly via the owner using the email address), but honestly, the owner was so accommodating and helpful that it wasn’t an issue and she made every effort to help us reschedule to a date that worked. We had no idea what to expect, but from other reviews we were definitely excited. The moment we walked in we were treated with such kindness and the owner was SO extremely helpful, giving us all the information we would need to order and answering any questions we had. She made fantastic suggestions for picking out different flavors of tea and everything we picked was amazing! The food was also all curated and presented beautifully. We were so pleased with the quality and variety. Everything was really top notch. The atmosphere was everything you’d want in a little tucked away tea room too and you can tell it’s been styled with care and intention (even the bathroom was beautiful!). It was a truly charming experience and I would highly recommend!

I made a reservation for two on OpenTable to celebrate turning Fourtea at this quaint Speakteasy! I've been a tea connoisseur for many years now and dressing up for an elegant tea party is something I've enjoyed since a child. Why not connect with my inner child while celebrating a milestone ? The Littlest Tea Room is a quaint tea room located at the back of Little Native Coffee shop on N. Person. It's located in one of my favorite neighborhoods in Raleigh. Parking was effortless just out front the coffee shop. I appreciated our hostess Hayley contacting me prior to our reservation to inform us that a children's party was wrapping up and she would need a few minutes to prep before we arrived. Upon arrival the baristas were very welcoming. Hayley provided top tier service throughout our tea time. The tea room or "Speakteasy" is tucked away behind a hidden wall at the back of the coffee shop. You are instantly transformed into a whimsical victorian meets southern charm tea room. I fell in love with all of details here. So magical! I was so captivated by all of the details in the decor for this little space. They even supply adorable headbands for you if you forget to dress for the occasion. The best surprise was finding out we had the tea room to ourselves for our Golden Hour. The privacy was a luxury ! We perused the menu and decided on The 60 Minute Golden Hour and started with a pot of the Witching Hour which is similar to the alcohol "fireball". Notes of spicy cinnamon. This was my favorite. Very strong and did not require sugar. Our tea tray was beautifully prepared. We enjoyed lemon macarons, chicken salad, pimento cheese spread, croissants, Madeleines, chocolates and dark chocolate chip cookies. My favorite being the lemon macarons, lemon clotted cream spread with Madelines and pimento cheese. We also had a pot of the Duskhaven tea which is more fruit based. It was very light and a beautiful pink shade to pour. My friend and I enjoyed catching up, taking photos as we came dressed in character. It's easy to lose track of time when you're whisked away into Tea wonderland. This is a must do while visiting the area. Special thanks to Hayley for her southern hospitality and making the celebration with turning Fourtea so special.

This gem-is unlike any place I have experienced in the Triangle. I cannot express enough how wonderful this experience was. I felt as if I walked directly into a dream or a secret Harry Potter type establishment. This was the last splurge my partner and I could have for awhile and I am so grateful that I chose here. I recommend here to anyone who wants to feel cozy, relaxed, and possibly in a different reality where you have amazing snacks and various tea assortments to choose from. I absolutely love it here.

This tearoom is a "hidden gem". Literally ..behind a secret door. Tea choices gives an opportunity to add a new favorite to your teatime. Deserts/pastries were ample, varied, and homemade. The room in and of itself was the prize.

There’s something so beautiful about being able to go to a coffee shop and work and then treat myself to a book at the end. The coffee was amazing as well as their vegan biscuit. And then it was such a pleasure to shop for a book because it’s such a clean and easy shop.

They had an amazing selection of books, almost every time I turned around I saw something on my TBR. I ended up buying 5 or 6 books and some stickers. Really queer friendly and really promotes social justice, which I love. Happy I was able to give my money to a shop that deserves it.

This is one of the best places in the entire area/state/possibly even country 😋. They have so many cool events. I go here once I month for slam poetry night. Everyone is so inclusive and supportive. They host other events and the coffee and drinks are so delicious. Would love if they could expand to have a kitchen for making food but it's still one of the best places to go hangout

Honestly one of my favorite places to go to when I visit Raleigh. 10/10 atmosphere, coffee, book selections and recommendations. I’ve ended up getting my favorite books from here. Godkillers, This is how you lose a time war, Priory of the Orange tree and several others. I grew up in the area and remember when it first opened, and I always make a point to go when I come visit.

The couches need a little bit of tlc but they had a ton of tables and chairs and extra space, I’m loving it and will def be back!

Nice and quiet place suitable for work or catching up with friends. There aren't too many breakfast selections, but many drink options. If you're a coffee drinker, I would recommend a Mocha Latte or an Espresso Caramel Frappe. If you're going for boba, I would recommend Black Ivory milk tea, Mango & Strawberry fruit tea, or Mango Snow. Apparently, the barista/chef is also the artist behind all the artworks there, a talented guy.

Great spot! The iced latte had a great composition, and the boba straw was a nice element. Wonderful service and atmosphere. The Bangkok chicken breakfast burrito was good, but didn't hit the breakfast realm for me. Definitely more of a lunch option.

Super great atmosphere, great prices and the fruit teas are amazing!! I recommend the mango passion mixed fruit tea with lychee & mango popping boba! The black tiger milk with boba and crystal jelly is super good too. The cheese danish was really warm and has good filling, but when they warm it up it kind of loses its flaky crust - still pretty good tho!

Food and drinks were absolutely delicious. Things took a while to come out (including the drinks, which was a bit surprising), but it was worth the wait. It's a nice cafe space, and the wait time wouldn't be so bad if you were planning to stick around for a while. Which you can - many people were working or hanging out. Overall a good experience!

It's a hidden gem in this shopping center. The space is large with multiple seating options. I ordered an oat milk latte, and it came out great. They didn't have a decaf option when I last visited but it might be just a one off. One thing is that their online ordering process does not work well. I preordered a drink for a specific time frame, and when I arrived I had to ask them multiple times if it was ready. Starbucks mastered this system, but this coffee shop needs improvement. Overall, a great place with good coffee.

I had such a wonderful experience at Black Ivory Cafe! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a good coffee. The customer service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. And let me tell you, the macchiato was absolutely incredible! Rich, smooth, and perfectly crafted. This is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to. Highly recommend!

This very well might be my favorite roaster in the country now (and I've been to a couple hundred). I wish I lived in Raleigh so I could come here all the time. The vibes, mission, causes are all on point. Care and craft goes into their entire process and I was blown away. It's tucked back on a road that's in an industrial area so if you've not been, you have to go. The courtyard is peaceful. Their roasting facility is immaculate and the staff is amazing. 11/10 go check them out!

Please see my November 6 update below. My initial review was 1 star and I subsequently updated to 4 stars. The new ownership team at Larry’s Coffee seems unwilling to resolve shipping problems or even communicate with customers. In my case, I ordered a 2-pound bag of Woodstock Coffee that fell far short of the mark. After reporting this problem, I did not receive any response at all. After about 2 weeks I sent a second email that again generated nothing. Given this poor customer service, I decided to report a dispute with my credit card company for the purchase. Perhaps I should not be surprised but so far this has resulted in a similar stonewalling after more than a week. I am choosing to cancel my coffee subscription for Doctor Mojo after seeing nothing but trouble on the horizon for what has been a previously reliable coffee company. Update 11-6-25: one of the new co-owners got in touch and offered to help after seeing the one-star Google review. I am pleased with the action taken as a result and am revising my rating to 4 stars to reflect the positive response once I was on the radar with a real problem that could have been resolved much sooner if email communication had worked better.

Absolutely Love Larry's. It is now the only coffee I buy and I've included it in many of my Christmas gifts. I've taken some time to discover what kinds of coffee I like best and what I don't like. Larry's makes at least 4 blends that just make my day! I'm now totally spoiled. Don't want to offend my friends by telling them how bad their coffee is. So I just take them gifts from Larry's!

Excellent place to buy locally roasted beans and great ethical company. Lots of coffee options plus other things to buy. A small area to hang out, fresh coffee drinks available.

Found “Larry’s Coffee” at Whole Foods and I’m amazed at at the flavor this coffee has. I bought the decaf because my test results from my doctor showed my adrenals/cortisol is off due to caffeine etc. so I’ve had to change it up. It’s the best I’ve ever had. The flavor notes for this decaf is raisin, plum and chocolate malt. And best of all his coffee beans are organic, the only way I buy! Went through this bag in a week and a half. Cannot wait to buy online…even more fresh. Thanks Larry!!

Amazing customer service and best coffee around Raleigh hands down. I visited yesterday for the first time and purchased a new coffee roast but didn't really care for it I returned and shared my experience and the great young lady working the counter was very quick to offer a solution and offer me a bag of coffee free of charge.Highly recommended!!!

I had the privilege of having “Larry’s Beans” for the first time here at Village Deli, and SHEESH! Those are quality, organic beans. Definitely a distinct taste of quality. Thank y’all for doing the work it takes for folks like me to get to enjoy a good brew! ☕️

Great coffee! The cappuccino was delicious and perfect! The space is open and clean, but not too loud. Good place to get work done or meet with a friend. There is a children's play area with books too. Pastries are also good. Parking can be challenging. Bathrooms are clean.

Let me tell you something, you can literally feel the love and passion when you walk into this space! The coffee tastes absolutely incredible! And thennnnn the ARTIE BARSSSSSSSS, are out of the stratosphere! Talk about big taste?!? That toasted pecan flavor tastes like a million dollar snicker bar with the most incredible caramel you have had in your life! The creators of the Artie Bar have figured out how to make caramel tastes rich but not too sweet! It's an incredible balance and CERTAINLY worth the visit! This coffee shop has the cutest affirmations and you can tell the owners reallyyyyy care about what they are putting into their food and into the community! Just all around nice, compassionate, caring people! Let's continue to support this local gem!

I read the Google reviews, and we decided to try it on our son’s birthday. He loves coffee, and this coffee met his expectations. We had an iced and hot vanilla latte and a croissant, which was warmed. They have the “good” ice. 😊The coffee house is tastefully decorated. There was a fair amount of people, and everyone was so friendly. The customer service was great. I’m glad that we found this place. 😊

Always a pleasure to go and see what's new. They always have new variations of drinks (hot and cold) and the baked goods are amazing. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. I had the Sweater Weather Latte today with a Smores Donut.
