I visited Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh early morning recently, and it was a refreshing experience! This man-made lake, built in 1958 by Le Corbusier’s team, is a serene spot with calm waters reflecting the Shivalik hills. The early morning vibe was magical—cool air, chirping birds, and a stunning sunrise painting the sky. The walking path was perfect for a peaceful stroll, and I loved watching locals jogging and practicing yoga. The nearby café served tasty snacks, adding to the charm. However, some areas had litter, which slightly detracted from the beauty. Also, more benches would’ve been nice for resting. Despite these, Sukhna Lake’s tranquility and scenic views make it a lovely spot to start the day in Chandigarh.

This garden is the best for people who love succulents. It is amazing and clean too. Inside the garden, there is a glass garden inside which there are Different types of cactus and other plants available for stop you can click a lot of pictures at cactus garden. There is a small pond In between the garden to make It look beautiful and you can always go out for photography at this Place. One thing that you must keep in mind is the crowd. Since the entry fee has only ₹10, there are a lot of unwanted people you will see in the Is garden so be aware of all these people. Otherwise, it's a good place.

Very interesting collection of cacti. People and kids of all age group will enjoy if they wish to see variety of cactus and succulents. Some plants were extremely rare. The ticket is only 10 rupees but the park is well maintained. Also, town park is just next door. The glass rooms can be maintained in a better way. This garden has so much potential to become more attractive for the visitors.

Nice place to hangout, parking available, wheelchair accessible. Attaching photos. Bonsai World is a must. Free entry, just take 1 to 2 lt. of water along, as it’s a big park so drinking water is compulsory to be taken along.

I can’t believe I’ve lived here for so long and never visited this hidden gem! Went with my cousin and we had a wonderful time enjoying the serene landscape. The peaceful atmosphere made our long conversation even more special, and the beautiful sunset was truly the cherry on top. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a calm escape from the usual city life.

The park is quite vast and full of greenery. Various attractions like bonsai garden and cactus exhibit were quite wonderful to see. Other attractions like Japanese garden, sacred grove, and the fountain were defunct probably because of the rainy season. So not much to do other than walk around for approx 2 hrs. Plus you are not allowed to take photographs with a camera which is absurd and maked the trip for photography enthusiasts deeply dissatisfying.

It’s connected via a causeway to the Patiala-ki-Rao forest (about 350 acres), which helps form a larger nature reserve.

This is undoubtedly the best gardens in Chandigarh city. Located very close to the sector 17 ISBT and sector 16 cricket ground, this garden is the perfect place for morning or evening walks. If you are into bodyweight exercise workout i.e. Calisthenics, this is the place for you.. You can see people starting to come here as early as 4:30-5 AM. There are many varieties of roses grown according to the season. Overall landscape is very well maintained. There is a fountain area as well here which needs to be managed a little better as it's not functioning most of the time now. It's got decent parking, well connectivity and big area. There are functioning public toilets and drinking water as well. Whether you are fond of roses or not, whether it's blooming season or not, this place definitely deserves a visit..

Location is good and details information available of human development. Tickets price just genuine. No video allowed. Safety of your language is all done by staff because no language and water bottles allowed inside. Guide available on payments if you are more interested have it.

The entry fee is ₹30, with an additional ₹30 for photography. Out of the 8 galleries, 6 were open during my visit, and each had something remarkable to offer. Highlights include 18th-century miniature paintings, canons from Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s army, old handwritten Qurans, Gurbani scriptures, and a vast collection of Buddha idols. The Gandharan art section is simply fascinating, and the miniatures are exquisite, though the lighting is kept dim, most likely to preserve these delicate works. The displays are straightforward and the labels are basic, so don’t expect modern museum-style curation, but the artifacts themselves make up for it. The museum is clean and well-maintained, with free-to-use toilets and a small publication counter offering books. A souvenir shop would have been a great addition for visitors to take back a memory. Overall, this museum is an enriching stop if you’re fond of history, art, or culture but if that’s not your interest, it might not hold your attention for long.

We enjoyed a pleasant walk through the park. While it was clean, it appeared somewhat under-maintained, with many features showing signs of wear. It’s a peaceful retreat from the bustling streets of Chandigarh, though it falls short of capturing the authenticity and meticulous design of a traditional Japanese garden.

With the cordial coordination with Japan Government, this park was developed in 2011, shows some glimpses of Japanese Art and Culture. Now in 2025, due to lack of maintenance this beautiful park is now so attractive. But still it is a good place to spend time with family and friends.

One of the best garden in Chandigarh. Awesome architect and scenic greenery. You can spend even 2-3 hours easily in this garden. There is no entry charges. Washrooms are also available inside the garden which are very well maintained. There are some small stalls outside the garden to have some snacks. There are two seperate gardens inside this place which are linked with a subway. Another part of this garden is based on Chinese dragon theme. People come here for picnic. A must visit place for morning or evening hangout. You may also bring badminton or soft ball for playing.

I recently visited the Japanese Garden in Chandigarh, and honestly, it was quite disappointing. The place has potential, but the lack of maintenance is evident. It seems like no one is taking care of the garden or the structures inside—it badly needs a revamp. What was once a beautifully designed space has now become underrated due to neglect. The greenery should be well-maintained, and the entire area needs proper upkeep to restore its charm. It’s sad to see such a place losing its appeal. I really didn’t enjoy my visit, to be honest. If the authorities focus on maintaining it, this garden could once again become a great spot to visit. But in its current state, it’s not worth it.

No matter which season you visit this park,you'll always be surrounded by beautiful flowers. One of the most amazing things that I've seen here is that the squirrels and birds are very friendly. They play with you. The best part is stray dogs aren't allowed inside due to which it is very very clean. You can even walk barefoot and sit on the grass. Very nice space in a great neighborhood.. flowers all over and well maintained .. lots of people about in the morning but still peaceful

The sanctuary has been well built and well maintained. It gives you a feeling of strolling in the nature. Variety of plants, flowers, trees all around... There are variety of birds like black swan, love bird (parrot with multiple colors). Unfortunately we could not spot many birds may because of hibernation. But the place is really nice it gives you a peaceful feeling in the mid of city chaos.

This is not actually a bird sanctuary. It is just a park where you can walk and have a stroll. You can come with your family here and enjoy some time. It is a good and quiet place to spend time with yourself and with your family. You can come with a few friends also if you want. The park is open the whole day. The is an area of this park which is locked. I think the birds are available in that area, but it is closed for the public. The timings are displayed on the board attached with this review. The board has two different timings. You can check it up. One timing is 5:00 am to 8:00 pm and the other one is 5:30 am to 7:00 pm. I suppose it is the winter and the summer timing.

Good food, good vibe. Went on a long weekend but it was half empty (surprising!), and they were still not accepting reservations. Found the place a bit overpriced. We had 3 starters, a salad and a beer and it costed us more than 3K. It’s good to come with friends and spend time.

Pasta had hair in it and Noodle were stale. We had no one - manager, owner or even head chef whom we could share our concern with. I love this place so much that it broke my heart as I had taken my best friends for a bday treat here. We even made payment of other items we ordered but no one even bothered to help us in this regard. Please buck up chocolate room ! I will never come here again.

Cockroach in the food!! At first, we really liked the food ..taste as well as quality. But, just as almost our last dish was served, which was Asian Sizzler, we discovered a cockroach in it. Worst part was, when we complained to the person in charge, he seemed so careless and unapologetic about it, that we had to ask him to call his manager who was apparently on leave. He still didn’t call and gave us the number to call tomorrow. We eventually had to press him to call, and he literally was giggling when giving a small brief to his manager on phone. On speaking to the manager, the first thing she said, was the cockroach in food as if suggesting it should be ok if it was in a cutlery or a plate. We asked for the chef and he too was like, what can we do sir, it can happen some time and we didn’t even spot it as it might have fallen from somewhere. It appears this may be a regular occurrence at this restaurant and they really don’t care about it, and were completely nonchalant with some minor utterances of “sorry” in between. A big “NO” for an outlet which doesn’t care about health and hygiene, let alone customer satisfaction.

The chocolate room is present in sector-7c Chandigarh madhya marg. I found the place having a nice cozy vibe . I ordered a nice paneer sandwich which had complimentary French fries, pasta(which was ok) and a the sundae which had an amazing amount of chocolate. I enjoyed my lunch and would recommend others.

The ambience is the highlight. The bathrooms are the cleanest in any eatery in chd. Rarely do I find myself wanting to find negative points to comment because everything was so perfect. The lasagna and honey chilli potato and the banoffe pie cake and the hot chocolate were exquisitely delicious. Although I found an unpleasant ingredient in the lasagna, the staff was profusely apologetic and kind enough to offer a replacement right away. The only con which is not really a negative but worthy of a mention is that their menu is just too huge with too many options and it honestly took us 30 minutes just to decide what to order

Wanna thank the chocolate room for their amazing service, food and decorations for my bday. Loved the venue and everything. The hot chocolate cake was so different and tasty having ice cream within the chocolate shell. Loved the concept and quality of the cake. Also the Italian food was so delicious. I would highly recommend this place for sweet celebrations. Overall it was a grt enjoyable day and you guys made it special with your services.

The golf course is amazing but the staff is mostly pathetic having no manners. They will treat you like a bug even if you are going there from a reciprocal club. The starter will insult you even if you go there smiling. They don’t permit on Saturday Sunday: that’s absolutely fine as a lot of golf courses don’t permit reciprocal members. The have a prime time system on weekdays also 😂. You will have to go there really early to book your slot. They will not permit you to tee after 10am. The golf course is highly uninviting because of the staff. You are not invited that’s what their face says and even the way they talk. Keep this in mind. The course is super good and well maintained.

Chandigarh Golf Club, established in 1962, is located just south of Sukhna Lake and adjacent to the Punjab Governor’s residence in Sector 6. It holds the distinction of being the only golf club in Northern India with a floodlit 9-hole course and a floodlit driving. Course is set over 132 acres in the planned city of Chandigarh. The course is dotted with thick mango, jamun, eucalyptus and kikar groves Absolutely love the service, the food, the ambience, and the overall positive vibe at CGC. Although I’m not a member, the warmth and friendliness of the people here make you feel like part of the family. The staff and members are truly welcoming. Also yesterday we met with the president Mr Ravibir singh. Wheelchair ♿ accessible 🅿️ and entrance available here.

Arguably the most sought after membership in Chandigarh. The Club, recently opened for members without any Covid restrictions, is clearly popular for its classy ambience and great food. You would of course need membership, or be invited here by a member.

Best course is Tricity. It's an 18 hole golf course. Fairways and greens are awesome. More or less a straight course, easy to play. Fader has an advantage to play. Most holes are visible from the Tee. Adequate parking is available. The restaurant serves good beer, snacks and food. One needs to be a member or take reciprocal or pay a green fee to play and to use the facilities here. An excellent course. Be careful while googling it as one reaches the driving range. Have a great round ☺️

This was my first visit to CGC and absolutely fell in love with the whole ambience of the club and the generosity of the people of Chandigarh.

This has got to be my favorite golf experience in and near to Chandigarh. Its a great resort for an outing being near to forest will give you a fresh feeling. The resort is very well maintained having good nice rooms with lawns outside to provide you a feeling close to nature. It also has a golf course. I enjoyed my stay.I keep on going back to Forest Hill Golf Course as it is very well laid out in a serene setting.

I made a mistake of not reading the reviews & ordering from this outlet in elante mall. This outlet is defaming the name of brand as the preparation is really very bad. Very thin, very less cheese unlike other La Pino'z Pizza branches.

These people and their franchisee are theives they sell Pepsi bottle at hyped prices and doesn't give invoice. I visited on 2nd June Sunday.. they said they don't have sliced pizza and small pizza. Only high end pizza are available. Trying to be over smart by selling sub quality food at high prices.. shame shame LA pino's pizza in elante food court.

As i came Elante for shopping, We're searching for dominos in elante but it was closed, and my mistake we ordered pizza and garlic bread from lapinoz, the taste is so sweet of pizza,as they put i think over tomato sauce on it... and garlic bread is half cooked ... Personally not recommended.

Only you will have medium and large pizza.. No other options ... How ever they have looooong menu for ordering... People have to order only those, no regular no giant pizza.. monopoly... Don't like it, if you have menu then you should have to retain all items for customers... Bad...

Currently, the south campus is not too planned. Around 10 years back, a few departments —microbiology, biophysics, biochemistry, biotechnology, Centre for Nuclear Medicine, Centre for Nano Science and Nanotechnology and Centre for Public Health (UIEAST) — were shifted from PU’s north campus (Sector 14) to the south campus, which falls under heritage sectors of the city.

Recently Constructed building with lots of Greenery and huge parking space. Multiple Research departments have been shifted from PU North Campus to South Campus. Canteen here is below average. Ekarts are also available in the campus on chargeable basis if you want to travel from one department to another but the frequency of Ekarts is poor.

Flop Goonj Event. Their students sold at very high price with false commitments that there will be 2000 plus crowd. But there is not more than 100-150 ppl crowd at all. Never recommended to anyone dont waste ur hard money

This is located in one of the better places in Chandigarh. Extremely sad to see, no maintenance being done. The ponds are all dry with dirt and stones. Right from the time you enter, there is only disappointment. Responsible authorities have completely neglected this garden.

Japanese Garden, Chandigarh is a place worth visiting. The well designed walkway, the layout, the greenery, the pagoda structure at the entrance, the various sculptures, the exhibits, the water body (it was dry when we visited), the flora, the little creatures and birds scuttling or hopping around without fear of people, all lend their own charm to the garden. Do not miss the second phase which you have to enter through a short covered passage on the right side of the entrance. A place of peace and tranquility, a great place for a morning or evening walk.
