Beautiful location overlooking the cliff of Pogliano and the sea, lovely place to see the sunset while dinning. The food was delicious and beautifully presented on the plates, however I had to remove 2 stars because the service, that's part of the dinning experience, was terrible! A young inexperienced kid that served us did a lousy job, placing plate on too of a cutlery, banging stuff when placed on our table, forgetting our drink, putting bread baskets on some tables but not others (we had to request bread, then olive oil)...

Very good sea food, nice view from the balcony. We needed a reservation to find a table. Prices are in line with the view and location near the sea. The dinner was perfect, good food, good wine and nice waiters. Thank you!

I cannot rave enough about this hotel. Our family stayed here in the beginning of our Puglia trip and I can't recommend it enough. The staff was hospitable, kind and helpful. The rooms were gorgeous and clean. The breakfast in the morning was equivalent to a fancy restaurant with homemade, fresh options. The view from the roof during sunset is breathtaking and the daily apertif was the highlight of our nights. It is also in the center of the old town which is so picturesque. It was 100% worth the price point.

Towels and sheets smelled like vinegar it was discusting. Italy has the best smelling of laundry detergent. You would think that they would use it for such an expensive hotel. The breakfast and the staff were fabulous. Beautiful rooftop and quality drinks and service.

Don’t usually review on Google. But the service and hospitality from Serena and Marika in particular has made this stay extremely memorable. The view from the rooftop could easily be one of the best, if not the best in Polignano. Right in the heart of the action, yet quiet at night for a good night rest.

This is one of the nicest hotel experiences I’ve ever had and I’ll definitely be staying here again when I visit Polignano again. Firstly, the location is absolutely incredible! The sea view suite is worth the extra money. But even more importantly the staff here make you feel like part of the family! I honestly felt like I was at home and didn’t want to leave. If your arriving by car, the personal shuttle service to the hotel is very easy and staying in the old town overlooking Polignano beach definitely transforms your holiday into an incredible experience! I ended up extending my stay much longer than expected because I’ve never received such amazing hospitality. Valentina - the receptionist is the friendliest host and goes above and beyond her duties - checking in if I had dinner, ordering and suggesting deliveries when I feel to tired to go out and giving me such good advice about the surrounding towns as well as catering to my every whim. The rooms are well decorated located in the perfect location, housekeeping did an excellent job and even collected the items I forgot during check out for me. Not to mention the view on the rooftop, which I’ve heard from many locals is the best in town. I’ve been living out of hotels for more than a year now and I’ve never experienced such impeccable service. This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at and I can’t wait to go back!

Great location and a fine room for a quick stay. My husband and I spent one night here on our way from Athens to Matera and wish we stayed longer! The rooms are quite cramped - we stayed in a cave looking room with no windows on the ground floor. The room barely fits the bed and bathroom inside and it was nearly impossible to find space for our bags (we were coming off a destitution wedding + starting our honeymoon and had two giant suitcases with us). We ended up storing our bags opened up + slid under the bed. There’s only a tiny sliver of walking space through the room and the ceilings are low and rounded in that area so when I was showering and getting dressed my husband waited outside so that we would not be stepping over each other constantly. The humidity from the shower also fills the bedroom and then gets trapped inside the stone walls unless the bathroom door is always kept shut. Not a big deal, just a tip. The staff, location, and included breakfast were all lovely. We slept great and, had we come for a weekend with our backpacks instead of 4 weeks worth of luggage, we would have loved to stay longer.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is location. Rooms were not desirable or as photographed on website. Our bathroom was disgusting and the overhead shower did not work. We were told by Gabrielle.. the manager.. that the prior guest broke it!! It was not fixed until the day we were checking out. No compensation was offered and quite frankly.. he really didn’t care! I WOULD NOT recommend this Hotel!!

Pretty poor experience to be honest. We booked the standard double room after being wowed by the hotel’s photos and rooms… issue was, if you’re not checking clearly, the “standard double room” is actually a “small damp cave room in the courtyard overlooking live music”. Yes they had the photos so joke is on people like us who book quickly… but calling this ‘standard’ in any way rather than what it is, a storage closet, or even just put “cave bedroom” is the real joke. We bumped into another couple the next morning in a similar room they referred to as the “servants’ quarters”, and that just about sums it up. Aside from the damp and the noise, from having to climb over each other and having no headboard on the bed, we had to walk 10 mins from the parking, which isn’t exactly nearby, and you have to be out of there the same time as checkout so we weren’t even able to enjoy the surroundings for lunch. All in all it feels like another tourist cash grab where you can’t help feeling like you didn’t get what you paid for.

What a welcome to the South, and I mean that in the most negative sense possible. First, we were harangued on WhatsApp to provide a licence plate number before we even landed and then warned they’d charge us more if we came past 9pm. And this parking you have to pay for? It’s across town and you have to leave by 11am even though the lot is empty. Can’t even pay to extend. The front desk staff was inflexible and plain unfriendly. Then the room itself was street level on a noisy square. A repurposed cellar. We opened the door to the smell of damp and a huge moth. Moth wasn’t the last bug either during our short stay. Didn’t know I was paying €200 to stay in such pitiful accommodations. Could not WAIT to leave. I’ll add that breakfast was decent and the terrace staff were nice.

This review is for the guest house located in Via Sirene 24. In July I got a good deal, great location, and charming typical apartment nicely renovated. Downside, the mattress was not very comfortable, there is a bit of a humid smell so you need to ventilate, and the people I did the check in with wasn’t the most gracious. Apart from this I recommend it.

This hotel has limited air conditioning and the bathrooms are completely without ac. The only mirror in the room is in the bathroom (tiny) and your face products smear off due to how sticky it is. Very run down for the price.

Although the view is great, the food was poor. We waited over an hour for our food. Once it came the food was cold and not very tasty. The drinks were nice, the two servers we had for the evening were lovely and when we told them about the food the server organised a 15% discount. The people on the door were rude, was on the phone when taking payment and didn't engage with us at all.

We went for dinner on our last day in Polignano. The beef tartar did not taste so good. Gazpacho and ravioli were super and the view is stunning. However, wouldn’t go back for food - better for drinks 🍹

We only used the rooftop terrace and were pleasantly surprised at how good the pinsa and drinks were for what looked like a tourist trap. Sure, it was late October but the weather was nice and we thought the place should have been full but we were the only ones there. Of course the view is quite nice too.

concerning the rooftop bar/ restaurant the view is simply amazing and probably one of the best if not the best in polignano however there were two major issues the music was exceptionally loud, even though i know it’s the concept of the place, blasting electro music this loud was counter productive . especially with the second DJ. we couldn’t help but feel sorry for the old lady in her balcony literally 2 mt away from the rooftop, and it was just too loud to enjoy the sunset. if you’re looking for a chill romantic place, it won’t be the best idea. second, we ordered a plate of raviolli for 15 euros and were shocked to find only three poor pieces of ravioli in the plate. we thought it was at first a very bad joke, but it wasn’t. it was very underwhelming. so if you go there i would recommend to only order drinks to enjoy the sunset and then eat somewhere else for dinner. the first Cool looking old DJ guy and the amazing view saved the night for us

Stunning views from this high cliff top location overlooking the beach. A great friendly atmosphere, perfect for an espresso or a bottle of wine. A sun trap so come prepared.

I did a sea cave boat tour and a ride in a vintage Fiat 500. It was great and had a lot of fun. Both of the gentleman that took me around on the boat and the Fiat were wonderful and very nice.

I had such a great time on the boat tour with Cristian as my skipper! He made the whole trip super fun, shared lots of cool info, and kept things really entertaining. I felt totally relaxed and had a blast from start to finish. If you’re thinking about doing a boat tour, I definitely recommend going with Cristian — you’re gonna love it!

My dad and I did the Vespa tour from Polignano a Mare through Alberobello, Locorotondo, and through Monopoli. I cannot say enough about Giuseppe who was our guide. The best guide we have had so far. He is very genuine, kind, and fun to be around. It was a very memorable day and I hope to come back and visit again.

We enjoyed a wonderful two hour boat excursion in the beautiful waters off Polignano a Mare. The boat was clean with ample space to move around. Our captain was super friendly and did a great job telling us about the various scenic points along the coast. The price was great--we highly recommend them .

Great location, easy access by car, and just 5 minutes walk from the historical center. We were lucky, we could parking front of the hotel building on the street. Opposite situation we must drop luggages front of the hotel and drive back to the parking place. Very nice and friendly, familiar atmosphere. Clean room. Dramatic view from the terrace and the breakfast room! Little bit simple room design, not enough place in the wardrobe. But for short and sightseeing trip is perfect with reasonable price. I know just now (2024 November) will start the renovation and I think everything will be better.

Excellent location. Very spacious room with a balcony and from balcony direct Sea and white cliffs view. A big terrace for breakfast. Hospitality of staff is outstanding. They really guide you / help you by going out of the way. They do have private parking which is not next to hotel but they take care to reach that place and bring you back. Breakfast was good. All the locations are just walking distance. Main beach and bridge is just 5 min walking distance from hotel. Would really love to stay here again.

Cozy accomodation with an unbeatable location. The breakfast (with homemade cakes and tiramisu'!) on the terrace overlooking the sea is a special experience. Room was perfect for a single traveler. Staff gave me some golden suggestions for places to eat and the locations for perfect pictures. I'd go back for sure.

B&B Malù is simultaneously chic yet very much a family affair. The location is perfect for the town, the rooms well turned out, the breakfast prepared by the family. The highlight is the proprietor, Paolo, whose advice and wrangling of hard -to-get restaurant reservations makes the entire Southern Puglia trip pop. Definitely book over any local hotel or Airbnb if there's availability because it's the best of both worlds.

We come from Florida and loved this tour. We had the greatest time with Gino and Antonio!!! This tour was the highlight of our trip to Polignano a Mare!! They are very friendly, polite and family directed. They make the kids so happy. This is definitely a must do!!

They were amazing everything was incredible, the sites were awesome, they were interesting and saw all of Polignano a mare. They really went above and beyond I ended up losing my wallet with my drivers license in the water they took me to the police station and got me a Italian replacement one, this was great as my Italian was minimal. I will definitely be doing a tour with them again before I leave polignano.

Water was nice, clean, and warm. But the place is so full and there is no place to put even a bag on the beach, not to mention a towel... there is barely a place to step on the beach between the towels and the people, its like a puzzle, and a lot of people are just on the rocks because the place is beautiful.

It’s hard not to enjoy a boat trip and swim on the coast of polignano a mare. The question is : does this particular boat and captain enhance or detract from what is inherently enjoyable. In this case, our experience on this boat did not enhance the experience. The captain never said a word to us since we speak English and was abrupt, loud and yelling a lot. His cigarettes were also blowing in our face. The experience lacked refinement. More importantly, unlike the other sleek and faster bow-rider boats that were going on the same trip, at the very same to time, this boat is a big square box and was too big to enter any caves except one! The other boats could enter. The captain also stopped for us to swim in a rather strange place: deep and rough water and none of the other boats stopped there for swims, since the logical place would have been closer to the shore. Overall, there are loads of companies running boats on this same trip. I would not use this one again and would avoid.

Place is well furnished, however lack a charm. Every thing is very average - quality is decent, place is tidy, but has no soul. For people looking for average but well cared place - make sense!

It is very modern and clean with lots of space. Marco looks after the place and is extremely helpful with everything. Highly recommend this place.

Casa Dorsi is a true gem. Perfectly located and steps from iconic locations and restaurants, well-appointed rooms and very comfortable, and an incredible breakfast. The view from the room is magical, as is the history of the property. The owners are very kind, even helping us make our way out of the city quickly to make our tour. We had a magical stay and highly recommend Casa Dorsi!

We had 7 nights at Casa Dorsi on the ground floor. Super convenient and easy to get around. Breakfast choice was good. Very friendly and helpful staff. If you are looking for Sandy beaches, there are a couple a bit out of town but a car is a good option. Casa Dorsi offers car parking outside the centre of town. Polignano a Mare is a must stop if going to Puglia. Other places to go are Lecce, Alberobello (Trulli Houses), Ostuni and if time permits, Matera. Angie & Mikki

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the apartment of Casa Dorsi on the first floor. The room is really nice and it has everything you need. It is extremely easy to communicate with Carlo who speaks very well English. The best part about Casa Dorsi is its location. The front door is right in the middle of a pittoresk street of the old town which ends with ocean view. You will see that many people stop here just to make a picture of the beautiful street. Here is also where the breakfast is served, giving you a great start of your day.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Dorsi. We stayed in the Suite Acqua, so we we had a direct view of the sea from our room. This felt very special given lots of visitors flock to this viewpoint in Polignano. Our rooftop had a shaded terrace and comfortable lounges so we were able to relax up there for hours. The Apuglian breakfast was also excellent and we couldn’t get enough of the fresh stracciatella cheese! Carlo, our host, provided restaurant recommendations and offered to book a boat tour of the nearby caves for us. Carlo’s clear communication allowed for a seamless self check in, and we were allowed to leave our bags once we checked out, as we weren’t travelling until later in the day. Casa Dorsi is exactly what you want in a bed and breakfast. Highly recommend.

Carlo showed us amazing hospitality from the moment we arrived, picking us up from the airport, before arranging a beautiful tuk-tuk to take us from the arches in the town centre to the doorstep of our balcony. The view from our balcony was breathtaking, the apartment was clean, spacious, and modern - even better than the pictures! It is also perfectly located in Polignano a Mare. Breakfasts every morning were fresh, super tasty (perfect pastries) and were enjoyed on tables outside of the B&B with a fantastic view of the town. Carlo was always on hand to give us recommendations, whether booking us tables at the best restaurants in town (he is very well connected) or recommending things to do across the city. Our stay was in April of this year. When we arrived a member of staff met us as and lead us to the hotel, but it was very central and easy to get to. All the staff were extremely friendly, and due to our dietary requirements they made sure we were catered to. The receptionist was able to recommend great restaurants and a lovely walking tour. The room was gorgeous and felt very authentic but with the perfect amount of modern commodities. The view from our balcony was lovely also. It was lovely to have a rooftop to be able to relax in the sun or watch the sunset on. Overall our stay was perfect and we would definitely stay there again.

If you have stumbled upon Casamare and are reading this review, stop looking and book Casmare (do not book anywhere else - that would be a mistake). Our highlights: Ada and her son Francesco have shown us outstanding hospitallity, even giving us a lift to and from the airport, on their way to fetch family. The location is within the old town in Polignano, with surrounding cobblestone streets teamed with vibrant shops, restaurants, gelato and snack spots and cliffside viewpoints. Casamare is also only a 2 minute walk from the main Lama Monachile beach, and also a 2 minute walk from multiple vespa and car rentals. Perfect location in total. There is a shared terrace on which we watched sunset every night, with spectacular views. The breakfasts included turned out to be the best meals we had in Polignano (we know that sounds funny, but it's true). The room we stayed in ("The Vault") had a wonderfully comfortable bed, the airconditioning worked very well, the private balcony was cute with 2 chairs and a small table. The bathroom was small but perfect for 2 people, and the shower pressure and hot water were great! There was a minifridge and TV in the room too! To top it all off, our room was cleaned every day, and we were provided with new towels every day. We have absolutely nothing bad to say about Casamare, it was a wonderful experience and a highlight of our trip. If we come back to Polignano, we would stay here every time. Such a lovely place! Marianna 25 was such a lovely place to stay in Polignano. The house was newly renovated, very clean and had all the amenities that you would require for your vacation home. The location was very central, in the old city but also close to the train station and main city streets. The veranda was beautiful and had two levels, first level was equipped with a table and chairs just like in the photos and a small kitchenette angle, while level two with sunbeds. The view from the 2nd level was spectacular. My only recommendation to the owner is to put an umbrella in the 2nd level as the sun is very strong and you cannot enjoy the sunbeds for longer periods. The owner Gianni was very polite and in general we had a great time in this facility.

The property is in a fantastic location in the historic centre, also near to the sea and very good restaurants. It has been recently renovated and was spotlessly clean. We stayed in November but were still able to enjoy the terraces. Gianni, was so helpful, answering any queries we had and making suggestions of local events.
