Assiniboine Park is one of Winnipeg's largest parks, offering a variety of attractions such as a zoo, conservatory, outdoor theatre, and play equipment. It's an ideal spot for picnics with its wide-open fields and wooded areas. The park hosts free concerts in the summer at the Lyric Theatre and features beautiful gardens. Visitors can also enjoy dining at the Qualico Family Centre's Park Cafe or explore art galleries and event spaces at the Tudor-style Pavilion.
Assiniboine Park is one of my absolute favorite spots for photos! The Pavilion is such an iconic backdrop, and the grounds are always beautifully maintained, no matter the season. Whether it’s golden hour by the gardens or a dreamy winter scene, there’s no shortage of stunning locations. It’s the perfect blend of nature and architecture, making it a go-to for portraits, engagements, and weddings. Always a must-visit!

Beautiful park with lots of attractions. Free and paid. Several sights for parking. Many different parks And many trails. Beautiful river lookouts and bridge. Pavilion is one place you can visit free of charge that includes information and free Winnie the Pooh museum and Art gallery Kids park nearby. I like the side gate. That's unique. The English theme park is beautiful with all the art works. Zoo and leaf are paid attractions.
Steve J — Google review
Over the past few weeks, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting Assiniboine Park on multiple occasions, and it’s become one of my favourite spots. The park’s size and variety of attractions mean there’s always something new to discover each time I visit. One of my first stops was The Leaf. Although it does have an entrance fee, the experience is well worth it. The vibrant plant displays and thoughtfully designed gardens create a stunning environment that’s both relaxing and invigorating. I spent hours enjoying the lush greenery and colourful blooms. On other visits, I explored areas of the park that are free to access. The English Garden and leo mol museum was particularly delightful, with its beautifully arranged flowers and serene atmosphere. It’s a perfect spot for a leisurely walk or simply to sit and enjoy nature. The open grounds and picnic areas are great for a casual day out, offering plenty of space to relax, have a picnic, or play. While the Park Café and restaurant areas do have their own costs, they’re convenient for grabbing a bite to eat and enjoying the park’s lovely scenery. The Pavilion is where I enjoyed wandering around. Its charming architecture and peaceful surroundings added to the park’s overall appeal. Whether you’re exploring the paid attractions or enjoying the free areas, there’s something special to discover every time.

A local resident couldn't wait to take us here and I understand why she loves this park so much. The park is well maintained and the variety of plants is well planned for the most striking arrangements. All those who are considering a visit to Winnipeg should plan on visiting Assiniboine Park.
Rich P — Google review
Amazing place to visit. Something to do for everyone. Very close to the Trans-Canada Highway so you can make quick stop to stretch legs and enjoy the beautiful park. Loved the different areas with very well maintained park infrastructure. I would definitely recommend visiting different attractions in the park.
TRP — Google review
The only park 24 hrs with security, lots to do with the zoo, the leaf, and the English garden. Cargo bar is also set up if u want to quench your thirst with adult drinks. And so much more favorite park in all of Winnipeg
Edson G — Google review
A large green space with many interesting attractions. Great for walkers, joggers, kids, picnics, dogs, families and zoo lovers. One can drive around to the different attractions too.

This park is undoubtedly the crown jewel of our city. It's a fantastic oasis filled with picturesque spots and photo-worthy locations. Whether you're planning a picnic or simply seeking a nature escape, this place has it all. My wholehearted recommendation goes out to this remarkable park.

FortWhyte Alive, a 640-acre urban wilderness oasis in Manitoba's capital city, offers a plethora of outdoor activities such as fishing, paddling, snowshoeing, ice skating, skiing, and tobogganing. Visitors can explore the diverse wildlife including bison, whitetail deer, reptiles, muskrats and over 160 bird species. The park also features cultural and historical exhibits along with a farm and restaurant.
I highly recommend this place! My husband and I have visited four times, three of which were to enjoy the stunning sunsets and watch the geese. The park is beautifully organized and impeccably clean, making it a wonderful spot to connect with nature. The volunteers are amazing! Now that we have a membership, we plan to spend our Saturdays there. The only downside is the early closing time during the week, which makes it difficult for us to visit after work. Nonetheless, we’re excited to enjoy our Saturdays there!

I went to the sunset goose flight at Fort Whyte Alive. There was an indoor presentation that was very informative about geese migration. Beautiful trails throughout the marshland also!! Plus a restaurant and very nice gift shop inside. Worth a visit!👏🏻👏🏻

Wonderful wild space for plants and animals! There are bison bison bison. There are many birds. There are even more mosquitoes. You can rent bicycles and binoculars. It's a good time!

One of the best things Winnipeg has to offer! From the birds and bison, to the gift shop, cafe, interpretive center and all it’s amazing programs, workers and volunteers; it’s nirvana. Cheap too for a day of outdoor education and serenity! Or free if your like me and walk/bike in!! I could go on for pages about how special this place is. If I could give more than 5 ⭐️, it would be infinitely (and still not enough). This is literally my happiest place on earth. ☀️🌲
Justine A — Google review
Awesome trails and lots of greenery. Good place for watching goose, ducks and other animals and a lot of history. Bison viewing is available. Great place to spend weekends and watch sunset. the museum has a lot of taxidermy stuff of owls, bears, bison, deer, cougar, foxes and so on. Entry tickets for two is about $21 dollars if you are not a member. It is worth it.

Amazing place to go. Need a break to have a mental reset, go on the water in a kayak? Look no further. My favourite nature place in Winnipeg, a must to go to when visiting Winnipeg in any season!
Amanda S — Google review
Visited here in the winter to try out snowshoeing. We rented from them and also brought our own snowshoes. It was fun going on their trails and on the frozen-over ponds and lakes. We even encountered a couple of deer in their forest trail. After snowshoeing we spent time on theit toboggan run. They have large toboggans on-site and these are free to use once you are already in the park. Of course, it's always nice seeing the bison enclosure. They also have a shop, cafe and a small museum.

Cathedral
Saint Boniface Cathedral, a Roman Catholic basilica, was constructed in 1972 behind the remaining facade of an earlier church. It is a popular spot for engagement photos due to its historic and grand atmosphere. The cathedral offers picturesque photo spaces such as the grounds, rose gardens, and views of the Red River. Visitors can explore the unique architecture of the present-day Cathedral built within the ruins of Western Canada's oldest basilica.
St. Boniface Cathedral is a truly stunning spot in Winnipeg, with the old stone facade standing tall as a reminder of the original church that burned down years ago. When I visited, the new church behind it was closed, but just seeing the facade and the cemetery in front gave the place a calm, reflective vibe. It’s a popular spot for pre-wedding photos, and I can see why—it’s perfect for capturing special moments. Getting there was easy, whether by bus or walking from The Forks. We found free parking on the side streets since it was a Sunday. The area around the cathedral is also really nice, with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, plus a museum. It’s a great place to take photos, enjoy the history, and the peaceful surroundings.
Honey L — Google review
The Saint Boniface Cathedral in downtown Winnipeg is a beautiful historic site. I love walking around and seeing the old stone walls. It’s a peaceful place and a must-visit if you enjoy history and cool architecture.
Kia S — Google review
As a person of Métis heritage, I definitely wanted to check out Saint Boniface Cathedral, and the resting place of Louis Riel. It did not disappoint. While I did not go inside the actual cathedral, the exterior was stunning. My partner and I were the only ones around, and walking through such a beautiful structure was incredibly peaceful. If you are out for a walk and enjoy beautiful architecture, I definitely recommend setting aside the time to stroll around Saint Boniface Cathedral.
Jenna J — Google review
⛪✨ Visiting the Saint Boniface Cathedral ruins was such a special experience. Standing among the historic walls, I could really feel the stories and spirit of the past. Just as I was leaving, the church bells began to ring — it was such a magical moment that made the visit even more memorable. Saint Boniface is truly one of Winnipeg’s most beautiful and meaningful sites. I’ve shared more photos from this visit on my Instagram @mina.vazan if you’d like to see the full view. 🌿
Mina V — Google review
Beautiful basilica, gives Winnipeg that “old roman city look” despite it being a young city. The ruins speaks of Winnipeg’s rich history & the Catholic Church’s resilience. The Basilica should offer more open hours for silent prayer for Catholics

Great cathedral and a nice park attached to it. Landmark of saint Boniface.

Beautiful cathedral ruins with lots of history. Picture perfect for weddings which can be booked by the hour. Active church with services in the morning and evening. Short walk to museum, university and great views across the river. Rainy late afternoon but still an amazing visit. Free parking, stairs up towards the ruins.

The Leo Mol Sculpture Garden, situated in Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg, Canada, is a must-visit for art enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. This beautifully landscaped garden showcases over 300 breathtaking sculptures by the renowned artist Leo Mol. Visitors can admire bronze and ceramic sculptures, as well as paintings and drawings set amidst picturesque plant beds, paths, and ponds.
As a wedding photographer, I've had the opportunity to shoot at many beautiful locations, but Leo Mol Sculpture Garden is truly something special. From the moment I stepped into the garden, I was blown away by how serene and picturesque it is—it's like stepping into a hidden oasis right in the heart of Assiniboine Park. One of the things I love most about shooting here is the incredible variety of backdrops—from the beautifully sculpted pathways and lush greenery to the elegant water features and breathtaking sculptures. Whether it's capturing a couple's quiet moment by the pond or playful laughter among the vibrant flowers, every shot feels like a work of art. The lighting here, especially during golden hour, is just magical and adds an extra touch of romance to every photo. Beyond the beauty of the space, the team at Leo Mol Sculpture Garden is amazing to work with. They're always so helpful and accommodating, making it easy for me and my couples to focus on what really matters—creating beautiful memories. Every time I photograph a wedding here, I leave feeling inspired and grateful to have such a stunning place right here in Winnipeg. If you're a couple looking for a romantic, artistic, and peaceful setting, or a fellow photographer searching for a dream location, I can’t recommend this spot enough. It’s truly one of my favorites!

The Leo Mol Sculpture Garden in Assiniboine Park is a peaceful blend of art and nature. It's filled with beautiful sculptures by Leo Mol, surrounded by lush gardens and quiet paths. Walking through the garden is calming, and the sculptures are amazing to see—they're so detailed and diverse. It's a perfect place for a relaxing stroll, where you can enjoy art in a natural setting. The garden is well cared for, flowers were vibrant. A Must Visit and its free of charge 🙂
Honey L — Google review
This peaceful sculpture garden is beside the English garden in Assiniboine Park. It is a fall paradise in our Prairie capital. On a warm October Friday afternoon people were walking their dogs, taking photos and having a picnic. In the well kept English garden all that was left were the shrubs and fantastic wine or yellow orange chrysanthemum.
Anne D — Google review
Quite a variety of bronze sculptures with an emphasis on his nubile muse. Others include famous persons, bears, a wild sow with suckling young, deer, and a strange mythical bull. The reflecting pond seemed overgrown when we visited in late August. The lily pond was teeming with frogs and flowers.

It's one of my favorite places at the Assiniboine park and zoo! Spending some time appreciating colorful flowers and plants or enjoying some peaceful time reading! Highlights to the jazz shows on Sundays in the afternoon! The best part of all is that I use the free Trolley to get there! From the Forks downtown and back! But of course I'm talking about my frequently visits there during the Summer!
Bernardete S — Google review
My husband and I were married at the Leo Mol Garden in July many years ago and it's a beautiful memory. We love going back to see all the amazing flowers and sculptures.
Carla L — Google review
Beautiful gardens and unique sculptures. There are a few buildings that have descriptions of the artist and more sculptures (air conditioned which was a nice break from the heat). I'm so happy this place is free to visit! Highly recommend.
Claire K — Google review
The Leo Mol Sculpture Garden (at the arbour) is an absolutely incredible spot for an outdoor wedding ceremony! We got married there in the beginning of June and the garden was so lush and green. The grounds are very well kept. Everyone walking through the garden is kind and has a smile on their face. It brings out the best in people! For weddings, the location includes set-up and tear down by Assiniboine Park staff and nice white chairs. I had to follow-up with Assiniboine Park staff frequently to get the information I needed and to get my questions answered leading up to the big day which was frustrating but no other location would have fit the vision we had. If you are looking for an outdoor ceremony space - this can't be beat!

The Manitoba Legislative Building, constructed in 1920, is a neoclassical government building that serves as the home of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba. Designed by Frank Worthington Simon, it features impressive architecture including massive columns, intricate carvings, and a majestic dome. The exterior is adorned with various works of art representing wisdom, justice, and courage. The building also houses the Manitoba Legislative Museum and is recognized for the Golden Boy statue atop its dome symbolizing progress.
Awesome positive vibes, from the rally that happened yesterday, from the singers to the dancers, to the speeches all the way around positive vibes can’t get any better than that.

Great heritage building. I enjoy a guided tour inside which is free. Lots of information. A must to go to know more about Manitoba. Great park around. Friendly staff.
WK — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of visiting on a Saturday afternoon in mid-July and was pleasantly surprised to find that we lucked into a tour. The grounds were pretty deserted of any humanity, yet the foyer of building was buzzing with, like, 3 security guards per tourist. Anyway, despite it being a weekend, grateful the building was open, allowing us to explore this architectural gem. The 45-minute tour was incredibly thorough, providing a deep dive into the building's fascinating history. We learned about the intriguing scandal associated with its construction, the origins of the stone and marble, and the rich symbolism behind the numerous sculptures and reliefs. This building truly stands as a temple to Parliamentary democracy, and the attention to detail in its design is captivating. Overall, the experience was enlightening and memorable, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in history, architecture, or politics. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this tour is a must-see for a deeper understanding of Manitoba's heritage and governance.

My friend and I visited the Manitoba Legislative Building, but unfortunately, due to a system error, his Ontario driver’s license was flagged as invalid. He didn’t have another piece of ID with him, and at first they treated it like a possible scam. Because of this, we weren’t able to join the tour right away, even though he’s an Ontario citizen and I’m from British Columbia. Later, when I called him back to join, the staff admitted the issue was in their system. While I appreciate the eventual apology, the situation spoiled part of our visit. It’s a government building, and citizens should be able to enjoy it without unnecessary stress. Disappointing at first, but I’m glad they made it right in the end.
Himani H — Google review
Very impressive building with unique features. We enjoyed our free tour from a knowledgeable tour guide. The gift shop had an excellent selection of affordable items. Please note that this building is not always open to the public to walk around without being a part of a guided tour during open hours. A man entered who was very upset at the lack of public washrooms for those not on a tour.

Amily is hands down the best guide we’ve had—she turned our visit to the Winnipeg Legislative Building into the brightest highlight of our Winnipeg trip, and we’re thrilled to give her 5 stars! We visited here today 11:00, 8/22/2025. As Chinese travelers with only basic English, we were a little nervous about following a tour. But Amily immediately put us at ease: she slowed down her speech so we could keep up, and used simple, fun language to share detailed, interesting stories about every corner of the building—from its architecture to its history, nothing felt confusing or rushed. What made it even more special? She took the time to lead us to all the key, photo-worthy spots and offered to take pictures for us, making sure we had beautiful memories to take home. Her patience, kindness, and genuine enthusiasm for sharing the building’s charm were incredible. This tour wasn’t just informative—it was warm and unforgettable, all thanks to Emily. We can’t thank Miss Emily enough for making our day so wonderful. If you’re visiting the Winnipeg Legislative Building, don’t miss a tour with her—she’s a gem! 10/10, 100% recommended!

The Winnipeg Art Gallery is a significant museum housing an extensive collection of European paintings, contemporary artwork, and Inuit sculptures. One of its highlights is Qaumajuq, an extension featuring the largest public collection of contemporary Inuit art globally. The space showcases modern-day and historic carvings in a captivating circular, multi-layered glass display. Visitors can freely explore the installation in the WAG's lobby and engage with an interactive display providing detailed information about the art pieces.
Had an amazing experience here. The diversity between the different exhibits and the friendliness of the staff will have us back next time we’re in town. There’s a lot of amazing things to see and buy in the gift shop as well as a fantastic collection of prints and originals available for purchase. The carvings in the main foyer could keep you occupied for hours alone

Fantastic gallery! The architecture is enriching and there is ABSOLUTE JOY in surrounding oneself in Inuit art. It is a creative gallery and you will want to stop at the outstanding boutique that promotes national artists. The staff is very welcoming too.

We attended the Candlelight concert in Winnipeg twice, and both experiences were absolutely wonderful. The music was performed with so much passion and elegance that it created a truly magical and romantic atmosphere. The candlelit setting made everything feel warm and unforgettable. It's definitely an event we would love to experience again.
Bohdan S — Google review
The Winnipeg Art gallery is well worth the hour or two visit needed to check out its collection. The indigenous collection is just fantastic and I love the works that they presented. The permanent collection is small but very very interesting. Parking is limited but you can find some spots on the street. Dropping by on a Thursday afternoon felt like a private visit. I don't think you'll find a better variety and number of soapstone carvings anywhere else in the world.
Richard W — Google review
I was there for an unveiling of a Red Dress tribute to the MMIWG2S movement. The location of rhe event and the space were more than sufficient for what it was needed for. Washroom was clean and easily accessible. The only reason I gave it this low of a rating is because they had a wedding event going on as well, and we were asked to leave by the side or back entrance. 😳 Seriously!?! So when you walk in the front entrance, you end up walking through the back of the seating area designated for the wedding guests and party. I felt like I was crashing a wedding. Not how I would want my wedding day to be remembered by. As a bride, I would have been upset and embarrassed to have to share my wedding space with another event being held in the same building like that. Surely there has to be a better way so that both events are able to be kept separate from each other, as to avoid disruption of a speech or special dance, which both events had. The sound could be heard on both sides. Unacceptable.

This place just felt like a dream. I would recommend going along with the person who is interested in art as well. Because it does take time to enjoy the carvings and description without any hassle of running here and there This place has 4 floors, each filled with unique elements. And also have a nice little Cafe. Staff is super friendly and kids does enjoy their painting lessons as well.

Nestled in the heart of Winnipeg, Kildonan Park is a picturesque urban green space offering a variety of outdoor activities and recreational opportunities. The park features an outdoor pool, picnic and BBQ facilities, play structures, and a restaurant. Visitors can explore enchanting areas such as the Witch's Hut inspired by The Brothers Grimm, charming foot bridges over streams, and the iconic Rainbow Stage open-air theatre.
I love the spark. Been coming here ever since I was a child and it has been a staple in my life. Very beautiful, very clean, everybody's always quiet and respectful here. I've never had one bad interaction.

This park is small but nice. Especially in the summer. The variety of flowers is mesmerizing. Sometimes, it's hard to find parking, but it's not really busy on the weekdays. The restaurant offers ice cream and some simple food from the outside window, and the restrooms under the restaurant are accessible to the public year round.

Gorgeous park, lots of different areas connected by footpaths. It's like a park in a forest there are so many trees. Canadian geese love it here. Clean washrooms. Restaurant. Perfect for walking, picnicking, riding through on your bike. Playground, swimming pool.

A beautiful and safe park. But I must add that I’m quite disappointed at how the area outside the restaurant has been unkept. The floors tables and garbage bins should be washed periodically as they’re filthy and smelly. They also shouldn’t have the big recycling/garbage bins right in front of the restaurant area. I am there regularly with friends sitting outside the restaurant tables, and the odor from these bins are overwhelming attracting all kinds of insects. All around the park the garbage bins are filthy and often full of garbage. They definitely should give more attention to this situation specially the sitting area outside the restaurant. Floors should be washed with a pressure hose and disinfected as well. People sits there with children daily and more attention should be given to these areas! I have noticed as well with big concern the public washrooms located in the restaurant basement are not cleaned or disinfected properly… there are two custodians onsite and as I have observed on a daily basis they spend most their time walking outside or on their phones. They do not attend to their duties except at the end of shift and bathrooms have been grossly neglected.

🟢 WALK in NATURE … Being at this beautiful park, makes you loose yourself from the daily chores of life. The lush greenery, chirping of birds, ducks ponds, playful squirrels, etc. have a very positive effect on us. It’s a perfect place for picnics, walking, running, cycling, kids play grounds, swimming, football, volleyball, etc. The park is very maintained with clean washrooms, plenty of parking and also has a restaurant touching a large water body.

Good park to be enjoyed by persons of all ages. Main problem in current season is when you pass near trees, worms are there and even on roads. Even in grounds, lawn, tables everywhere these worms/bugs are present. Hope park authorities will take necessary actions in the matter. Has good quality swimming pool, children's play area, theater, etc. for enjoyment. Children can enjoying playing in ground, slide, swings, etc. Has wheelchair accessible parking.

Nice and large outdoors space for everyone and it's with in city limits. Summer time there are beautiful garden and lots of shade for everyone. There is also splash park with fair size swim pool. There is restaurant in the park too but reservations have to be made. All in all all seasons you can find something fun to do in this park 😉.

Located in Winnipeg's Assiniboine Park, The Leaf is a must-visit attraction that offers an immersive experience for families. This outdoor garden complex features six distinct gardens, including the Indigenous Peoples Garden, Kitchen Garden, Sensory Garden, Performance Garden, Seasonal Garden, and the Grove. It is the first garden in North America to showcase Canadian cultural stories through plants.
This is the first time I've been here and wow it was very impressive! Especially the Mediterranean biome. I absolutely loved how the smell of the sage in there. I loved how you could see the names of all the different kinds of plants they had there. Definitely want to experience the leaf in winter time!

We purchased the package ticket for the zoo and The Leaf. We finished early at the zoo, and our scheduled time at The Leaf is 8:30pm. We went to the leaf to try if we can come in early before we go for dinner. The staff at the entrance were nice to accommodate us. My second time here, and everything still seems nice. Plants are still well taken care of. My mom and my grandma loves it as they really love plants and flowers!

This was a great way to spend a few hours with the family. Honestly The leaf exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be coming back here at least once a year to enjoy the beautiful plants and trees that this place has to offer. My children ages 20 to 8 also really enjoyed the experience. The butterfly sanctuary is amazing as well!

A tropical botanical garden in the middle of the prairies. The building has very unique architecture that fits well for the purpose. Walk through the dense tropical biom with a waterfall from the top observation walkway. There is also a very cool butterfly chambers where you can walk amongst the flying butterflies. There's also a more relaxing Mediterranean biom room, a coffee bar and a restaurant that looks fancy. Worth a visit when in Winnipeg.

So amazing! A perfect escape to the tropical forest! So relaxing to understand the beautiful vegetation from around the world! The butterfly sanctuary is incredible! We loved it all! The staff are so welcoming and helpful with questions. A must visit destination!
Richie J — Google review
This is one of Winnipeg’s top attractions, and for good reason. The building is stunning, and it is such a unique experience to be able to experience tropical and mediterranean vegetation in the middle of a cold Winnipeg winter. There is also an upscale restaurant located on the property, as well as several rooms that can host events. There is also a butterfly garden on the upper level accessed by a catwalk that provides a view of the tropical biome from above. I highly recommend visiting The Leaf if you are visiting Winnipeg, or if you are a local.

First of all, the Gathering restaurant inside The Leaf was amazing! We had tuna carpaccio, prawn pasta, fresh foccaia with squash butter and bananas foster bread pudding. All very delicious! I also had a raspberry quench mocktail, which was the perfect amount of crisp and tart. The atmosphere of the restaurant is minimalist, with some plants and great staff that will offer suggestions. Thanks to Taylor, we added the delicious bread and butter (fun flavors made daily). We went into the biomes, where one is more of a rainforest vibe, which also has a waterfall and coy pond. The other biome is most like a cozy backyard, including a plant wall and seats to hang out and drink coffee. The butterfly garden was very peaceful and sunny. The butterflies love the sun, so try to go on a sunny day when they're more active.

The Trappist Monastery Provincial Heritage Park is a captivating destination located just south of Winnipeg, Manitoba. This year-round park showcases the fascinating ruins of the Lady of the Prairies Monastery, which reflect the architectural style of the early French-speaking Métis community. Visitors can explore these historic brick and stone remnants while learning about the Trappist monks who resided here until the late 1980s.
This place was a very awesome find , walking the ruins and the land around it was like stepping back in time, definitely will be going back .

The Trappist monastery provincial heritage Park is an extremely beautiful provincial park located in St Norbert, a few kilometres south of Winnipeg. The monastery was initially constructed in 1903/1904 and was in use until 1978. In 1983 the monastery was sadly gutted by fire. It is now part of the provincial park and is being cared for by the province of Manitoba. The setting of this monastery is absolutely amazing as it is situated on the banks of the LaSalle river. The park is situated right next to Southwood golf course. There is plenty of green space in the park in addition to benches and a few picnic tables. It’s a very calm, peaceful and serene environment, which makes it the perfect place to spend time with family and friends or just spending time to respect. There is plenty of free parking, no admission ticket is required and it is located adjacent to the world peace pagoda as well as the St Norbert arts centre. The park is also dog friendly!

A great place to explore. Located in St. Norbert just outside the perimeter, a few minutes drive south of Winnipeg. It’s tucked away on its sprawling grounds. The La Salle River winds along the south side of the property. A wedding venue on site has a beautiful garden and a greenhouse. The Trappist Monastery Provincial Heritage Park is also the site for Shakespeare in the Ruins. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

It's an amazing ruin that I'll definitely visit many times because it offers different views as the light changes, allowing us to capture varied scenes. I used to go to Angkor Wat in Cambodia and Ephesus in Turkey; however, both were too crowded. Although the Trappist Monastery doesn't have as long a history or as large a size as those places, it is quiet and conveniently located near where I live.

Thermëa by Nordik Spa-Nature is a popular spa in Winnipeg that offers a day of relaxation and thermotherapy. The indoor/outdoor space features pools of warm water, ice cold plunge pools, steam rooms, aromatherapy, saunas, exfoliation rooms, and more. Based on the concept of thermal hydrotherapy and relaxation techniques, visitors can experience hot and cold treatments followed by rest in lounging areas or napping rooms.
Had such a great experience at this spa! I’ve been to Thermea in Whitby and I love how it’s not the exact same as it is there. There’s a bunch of different buildings with different treatments. Unfortunately it’s not as big as the Whitby location but that doesn’t really matter too much! The weather was perfect, the rituals were awesome, the staff were lovely and the food was amazing. Our serve Melanie was really sweet and helpful when it came to choosing what to get! All in all I had a fantastic time and it wasn’t too crowded at all! Also! Forgot to mention that they’re currently doing renovations (which honestly didn’t really ruin my experience) and they said that because of that our next time we book we get 25% off because we didn’t get the full experience! So nice!
Paige W — Google review
Went to Thermea yesterday, Saturday with my partner for the evening time. Honestly, the whole experience has gone down hill and the price is getting more and more steep. This is my 4th visit over the years, use to be way better. When we first arrived 5 p.m. check in, went to the men’s locker room it was INSANELY busy, packed where we had to stand there for 10 minutes to get to our locker area where guys had to change in front of another, shoulder to shoulder, it’s worse then a gym’s locker room…they clearly need to expand the area for the volume of people. When we finally got to the pool areas it was pretty packed too but manageable. Other areas of the experience were packed and busy too but tapered off in the evening thankfully. We went to the restaurant for dinner the food and service was fantastic. We got a great view upstairs near the fireplace. Portions were huge too. Our server she was amazing. Me and my partner stayed till close we went through the whole experience which was nice but near the end of it, it turned upside down as I tried to order a beer just after 9 p.m. for the poolside at the bar they refused to serve me as it was apparently to late… to pour a beer lol. Then on top of that two staff members were rude to me, laughed at me, then walked me out of the bar to get me out of there. I went to customer service right after that as I was upset they listened, took my information, and the manager offered me 25% off my visit which was a nice gesture. However, the bar staff the way they treated me (the paying customer) is unacceptable and should be reviewed. We still had an okay experience… the resto, pools saved the review but Thermea definitely needs to improve in some areas.

I have been at Thermal spas in many countries and by far this was the most disappointing one for me unfortunately. Not worth the $$. The spa is well structured in terms of proximity, the space is very zen and the vibe is there to help you relax BUT I found the pool and hot tub to be a little too small for the number of people that are allowed into the space and considering how full the spa was on a weekday on a hot summer day I know to avoid it during winter time and weekends. It can get overwhelming not being able to rest in the pool without being very close to someone else when you are trying to relax. After asking my mother in law about her experience in the rooms I was not able to enter she told me she did not enjoy it much either as the space was crammed and she though everything was too overcrowded and she felt it was not very hygienic, that is unfortunate because it was her birthday and she came from abroad I really wanted her to enjoy the place. We had to wait in turn to access our lockers as they were full. The whole experience is not very pregnancy friendly most rooms are off limits to pregnant women due to safety concerns, the pool, beach and meditation rooms were enjoyable. The people working the pizza shack are very professional and friendly, the food was really good! Would I want to visit again? Unfortunately I will have to as I gifted my mother a day pass for her birthday as well and I am definitely not looking forward for the crowds and queues.

My partner and I had a gift certificate from a friend and we went for our anniversary on a Monday. It was lovely as it was quiet and a perfect overcast day. Loved the relaxing hammock bed area which is new since the last time we visited. Only thing I would suggest is being able to give your guests their robes before the locker room. My arms barely fit into mine. Other than that a very pleasant day!
Lisa L — Google review
Came today with my family and was very pleased with everything there! Me and my family agreed that the best rituals were done by Quinzi! She did absolutely amazing every single time without a doubt! The one thing I would have to say negatively about this place is the parking lot is way to small and the road to get there has the worst potholes I have ever experienced. Overall such a calming experience highly recommend!

last Saturday, I visited Thermea Winnipeg, and today, after our one-week trip from Thunder Bay, I just want to say how happy I am that we made this journey. The atmosphere and the whole village were wonderful peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature The staff were all so kind and welcoming. The front desk employee explained everything clearly about the thermal cycle and even recommended her favorite dish, Black Garlic Pasta, which turned out to be amazing 😋she was from Iran! I highly recommend giving yourself this experience! cant wait for next time!
Leili — Google review
For the price you pay, I expected friendlier staff. We waited around 10 minutes to be seated, and when we finally did, the staff rushed over, questioning where we were going and if we just needed drinks. Both the bartender and the server were not welcoming. Additionally, it would be nice if there were designated areas for smokers or vape

My husband and I had the most amazing and relaxing time at this spa. We have been to many similar places and this one really stood out to us. It isn't as large as ones we've been to in Quebec and Blue Mountain but that doesn't mean it wasn't just as enjoyable if not more. I had an amazing lunch and the towel rituals every hour were outstanding.

A Maze In Corn is an attraction located in Manitoba, featuring a giant corn maze, zip lines, a petting zoo, and a hay bale pyramid. Additionally, it offers the world's largest snow maze just outside of Winnipeg in St. Adolphe. This snow maze spans over 30,000 sq. ft., with 1,300 meters of snow-packed walls standing two-meters tall. Visitors can navigate through fire pits and various snow sculptures within the labyrinth.
This place was so much fun. They had a performer that put on a fire show and he was such a funny guy. The snow maze and the sculptures inside it was so much fun to walk through. The ice bar was amazing to see. I didn’t drink though because we came mid day and I was driving. If you have kids they will love the secret tunnels in the buildings. The tubing was also a blast. I recommend buying the pass if you are going more than twice. My husband and I did the tubing and it was a blast. The have some food shortly after the entrance with some hot food items which was good on a cold day or a mild day like we had. We went on the last weekend but recommend coming here next year. We bought tickets at the door because we weren’t sure we would make it if the weather was bad. If you buy your tickets online, you will get in faster. It was affordable to do and a blast for folks for all ages. I can’t believe I have been travelling to Winnipeg for so many years and never heard of this place. You must go check this out!
Pauline B — Google review
This place is great! We visited last weekend (8/7/2025). We enjoyed the hayride, the little farm zoo, and the sunflowers field, but specifically we have lots of fun with the cornmaze. It does take around an hour to complete, and it has extra exits for those who cannot make it and look for a way to get out of there. Bringing the cellphone was a great idea as there is an scavenger hunt related with music, so you have to find all the QR codes distributed in the maze! We missed a couple lol. The reason why I'm only giving 4 starts is because this place doesn't have a farm/souvenirs store (although they have some fresh flowers and honey). Great time! Recommend for all ages.
Ellie L — Google review
It's a great time out. Especially if you have children, as the animals are a favorite to visit. The maze itself is always a good time, complex and challenging enough to enjoy especially with points of interest to discover within. For those that enjoy the spooky, the haunted house is worth a visit. There are also the zip lines, that I look forward to trying one day.

It's fun but difficult. Bring water and snacks lol. You'll be in there for awhile. My only thing is that I wish they had better signage to find where the entrance is to the maze. Also if you want to buy food it's not that expensive. I was impressed with the prices.

I've been here numerous times over the years, and it never disappoints. Lovely, warming staff, amazing food and drinks. The property is gorgeous and well kept. The vibrant sets and excellent customer service set this escape room apart from others, making it a must-visit for both puzzle enthusiasts and those seeking a welcoming atmosphere.
Tried this for the first time and we didn’t know what to expect but it was SO fun! The room was definitely creepy but not overtly scary (although the jumpscares and sounds were making me anxious in a fun way). Their puzzles were not too challenging but you still need your brains! We were stuck on the very last puzzle for the LONGEST time but they graciously gave us more time. The Exchange District BIZ, established in 1881, is a cultural hub spanning 20 city blocks in Winnipeg. It boasts historic buildings that have been repurposed into independent boutiques, restaurants, and cocktail bars. The area's charm lies in its turn-of-the-20th-century warehouse architecture and early skyscrapers influenced by Chicago style. Hollywood often chooses this district as a backdrop for 1920s gangster movies due to its authentic atmosphere.
Just finished an amazing walking tour in the Exchange District in Winnipeg. The historic architecture and vibrant culture were incredible to experience firsthand. Huge thank you to Lora, our tour guide, for sharing so many fascinating stories and insights.

As a newbie exploring the Exchange District, I enjoyed a nice, lengthy walk around the area. It was a wonderful experience to observe and appreciate the architectural details of the buildings, checking out restaurants and some shops. However, as someone new to this area, I did feel a bit uneasy at times because there were some individuals who appeared to be under the influence of substances. Despite this, the overall experience of exploring the district and taking in the unique architecture was quite enriching.

We heard about secret underground tunnels, mischievous former mayors, and the general strike! We had no idea, but the Exchange District Biz offers all sorts of really cool tours, starting at a very reasonable $10 per person, or for tours that include food and alcohol, a bit more, but still quite affordable for what you get out of it. We LOVE being tourists in our own city, and will be telling all of our guests to check out the Exchange. Thank you Exchange District Biz and Sabrina! Kierin & Denise

When exploring the vibrant cultural scene of Winnipeg, a visit to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet is an absolute must. As Canada’s oldest ballet company and North America’s longest-running ballet institution, it has been enchanting audiences since its inception in 1939. Nestled within the Centennial Concert Hall, this esteemed company showcases breathtaking performances that range from classic tales like 'Romeo and Juliet' to innovative contemporary works.
I had the privilege to attend and see Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet performing the Nutcracker at Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver Canada. Their performance was awesome and very well directed. My hat off to the entire Ballet. Bravo!!!

Disappointing Experience with Ballet Academy’s Child Supervision Policy As a concerned parent, I am deeply troubled by my recent experience with this ballet academy. I was shocked to find that my 6-year-old child was placed in a ballet classroom on a floor where parents are not permitted. This policy is extremely concerning and left me feeling uneasy about my child’s safety. Given the lack of parental access, I question the measures in place to ensure that my child is in a secure environment. The absence of transparency and oversight raises significant red flags.

We have had season tickets to the RWB for 30 years. I attended one performance featuring Evelyn Hart and was hooked. I have never seen anything as close to perfection as her dancing. As much as she is missed, I still love watching the RWB perform. Both Winnipeg and Canada are fortunate to have such a jem.

Highly recommended for anyone from 4 years old to 60+, they offer recreation from September to next year May, once a week from ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary to lyrics. Just check their website and catch up with the latest courses. Both my daughter and myself learn ballet lessons and they have professional teachers to help you learn from the scratch, depending on your level you can chose what you want. Highlight is the fee, 600 per whole period per class per person is super affordable, and for boys the fee is even cheaper 200+, and I have seen auntie and uncle to dance and perform too. End of season each student will have a chance to perform in the theatre ( formal and fun). Just check out this year and join. Have fun!

I saw The Nutcracker for the first time this year. Such a phenomenal ballet! The orchestra played beautifully, the dancers were brilliant and the set changes were magical! The scene in the snowy forest was mesmerising! I have seen a handful of ballets performed by RWB, (Dracula, Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, and Alice in Wonderland) and they've all been fantastic! However, the Nutcracker has been the best one yet!

Such a beautiful work of art! We seen The Nutcracker yesterday afternoon on Boxing Day, the performance was amazing, my favourite part was the ending of the first half with the deep blue backdrop, snow covered tree and snow falling. Even the cute little polar bears were so charming!! Everything about this play was perfect. This was my first time, I will definitely be making this a Christmas tradition :)
Dano U — Google review
I had my daughter in classes elsewhere, and moved my daughter here because I did not feel she was learning much, and her options to learn tap was to repeat the same mixed ballet/tap class she was already taking. RWB has been a blessing. In just her first year, her skill, her poise, everything improved like night and day! She now takes 4 different dance classes and is hungry for more. The teachers also provide valued guidance and feedback. We love it here :)

I have seen Dracula and The Nutcracker a couple times, always great! This review is on their customer service. I bought tickets for The Nutcracker in October. I then picked up a Friday night shift at the hospital on December 23 without thinking..I knew no one would take the shift for me! I was so worried I wasted $160 on tickets. I called The Royal Winnipeg Ballet expecting to have to pay more or get a "not my problem" as it was my own fault.. but I was amazed! The girl on the phone changed my tickets to a different date with the same seats and mailed the tickets to me. No questions asked and it took less than five minutes! I am so very thankful and impressed!

Allure Studios is a fantastic place for capturing beautiful photographs. Neffi, the photographer, is known for her warm and respectful approach, making the photography experience enjoyable. Clients have praised her excellent customer service and easy communication throughout the process. Working with Neffi and her team guarantees a seamless collaboration and an exceptional photography session that exceeds expectations.
I recently had the pleasure of working with Allure Studio, and I can’t recommend it enough! Nefertiti was our photographer, and she absolutely exceeded all my expectations. Her photography skills are simply amazing; she has an incredible eye for detail and was able to capture moments beautifully. Beyond her talent, Nefertiti was incredibly professional and friendly. She made everyone feel at ease, which really helped to bring out our natural smiles and expressions. Her ability to manage the situation and lead the session was impressive—everything flowed smoothly, and she kept us on track while still making it a fun experience. If you’re looking for a photographer who combines creativity with professionalism, Nefertiti at Allure Studio is the one to choose! You won’t be disappointed.

I'm so impressed with Allure! I was able to be booked in last minute yet the staff still ensured they contacted me before shoot day to warn me that the studio may be hot (3rd floor walkup on a hot summer day, limited A/C) but they made every effort to bring the temperature down and make the studio comfortable for our party of 11. It was still warm but perfectly usable! The rooms are beautifully decorated, staff is so friendly. I 100% recommend this studio!!

Always love coming to Allure! So many rooms to choose from, always updating the furniture & set ups! Highly suggest it for anyone looking for a space to make content, take photos & videos or even have a small wedding!

I had a good photoshoot at allure we booked the manhattan. Unfortunately the couch we booked was not available the day of, they replaced it with another couch. We were disappointed because we had planned for the couch we booked for, but at least they gave us something else. The room was quite dark on the day. I wish it was mentioned no elevator access for guests.. overall It was a good experience, but some room for improvement.

My partner and I opted for a small intimate wedding and allure studios was the perfect match. They went above and beyond our expectation and brought our vision to life! ensuring and creating our vision of the vintage Boho style wedding! I couldn’t have imagined it any better than how they set it up for us! Nefertiti was amazing and worked with us to make this dream come true! Thank you so much for making our day so special 💕

Our family had a great experience with Allure Studios. We enjoyed working with Nefertiti and the studio was lovely! We had lots of options to choose from (Manhattan Studio) and would recommend them for portraits.

Nefertiti nailed our photoshoot in the White Studio. I’ve struggled to find a good brand photographer and she was an absolute 10/10. Definitely going back! 😍😍😍
