City park
Brooklyn Bridge Park is a must-visit urban oasis in New York City. It offers shaded picnic tables, hibachi-style BBQ grills, and stunning views of the river. The park is part of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge walk, which provides some of the best views and photo spots in the city. Walking through Brooklyn Bridge Park and DUMBO allows visitors to enjoy unobstructed views of the skyline and both the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges.
Watching the 4th of July fireworks from the park was truly an unforgettable experience! 🇺🇸✨ The atmosphere was filled with excitement and joy as families, friends, and strangers all gathered to celebrate together. I arrived early to find a good spot, and it was totally worth it — the view was perfect, with a clear line of sight to the stunning fireworks display. The park itself added so much to the experience — it was spacious, clean, and full of positive energy. People were picnicking, playing music, and enjoying the warm summer evening while waiting for the show to begin. Once the fireworks started, the entire sky lit up with vibrant colors and synchronized bursts that were absolutely breathtaking. There’s something magical about watching fireworks under the open sky, surrounded by a crowd that’s just as amazed as you are. It felt like the perfect way to celebrate Independence Day. I’m already looking forward to doing it again next year!

Brooklyn Bridge Park is one of those places that makes you stop and appreciate the city from a whole new angle. The views are incredible—looking out at the skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and of course the Brooklyn Bridge itself feels almost surreal. The park is beautifully designed, with plenty of spots to relax, walk, or just take it all in. It’s also easy to get around, with clear paths and different sections that each have their own charm. Whether you’re there for a stroll, photos, or just to sit and watch the world go by, it never disappoints. More than just a park, it feels like a front-row seat to New York’s magic. Definitely a must-visit.

If you are in Downtown Brooklyn visit DUMBO. You will enjoy the beautiful cobblestone and Brooklyn Bridge picturesque view. The water view is gorgeous. There are eateries and food trucks that are pretty good. Merry go around for children there is a fee. Diverse and eclectic neighborhood. Great place for romantic walks, family, and friends. Ideal place to take awesome pictures 📸 Parking is scare best to take train or bus. Pet friendly

Perfect view of the Manhattan skyline. Perfect for photographers, lovers and tourists. On a clear day, anyone can take great photos of the river, the skyline and the bridge itself. There is seating and a few food vendors. And you get an up-close view of the ferry as it launches and lands right next door.

Beautiful park with chill city views of Lower Manhattan! The breezy and calming nature paths make it perfect for a relaxing walk. Enjoy street vendors and local stores for a quick bite, and take a break in one of the many quiet seating areas throughout the rehabilitated piers. Pro tip: get yourself a hot coffee or cold brew at the nearby 0% Arabica

Brooklyn Bridge Park, an 85-acre “sustainable waterfront park”, is great for all ages. There are a lot of bathrooms, benches, walking trails, playgrounds, water/sprinkler areas, swings, slides, jungle gyms, and a ferry stop. They have soccer fields, sand volleyball courts, hand ball courts, basketball courts, picnic areas, public grilles and barbecue areas. At the end of some piers, you’ll find two sinks and a table to easily clean and pack whatever fish you catch. There’s even a sandy beach that allows you to walk to the water. There’s an area to roller skate or play roller hockey near the basketball, ping pong, pickleball courts. Each pier at the Brooklyn Bridge Park takes you into a different uniquely curated experience. It has winding trails, surrounded by trees. You can forget you’re in New York City. Then, you’ll make it out to the other side and be met with a beautiful view of Lower Manhattan. If you look just south of the city, you’ll see Governor’s Island and beyond that, the Statue of Liberty. In the other direction, you’ll see the Brooklyn Bridge and up to Midtown Manhattan, identified by the Chrysler and Empire State Buildings. If you’re purpose is to picnic and you want to bring take away, start at Pier 1. The Dumbo area, on the way to the entrance of the park, has pizza by the pie places and a Luke’s Lobster (and a ton of other options). Grab some food and head into the park. You can kayak here. They also hold public movie screenings and live music. The website for Brooklyn Bridge Park has everything you’ll need to plan your trip. Pier 6 is filled with trees, trails, playgrounds, and sitting areas. Between Pier 5 and 6 is the sand volley ball courts. Pier 5 is the soccer fields with a fishing area at the end of it. Between Pier and 5 and 3, you’ll find the barbecue peninsula and beach area. Pier 3 is another beautiful green space with trails, lawns, and benches. Pier 2 holds most of the courts and the roller rink. Pier 1 holds the largest lawn areas with gorgeous views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the city with a lot of green space and more walking trails.

Great little park just under the Brooklyn Bridge. Nice little running tracks and bike tracks next to the bridge with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline. A must visit.

In a bustling city with hustling life, this is a serene place with lush greenery. It immediately cuts the noise and gives tranquility. Very good place for evening strolls, jog or just relaxation at the Hudson

Central Park is a breathtaking green sanctuary nestled in the bustling heart of New York City, offering an escape from the urban hustle. Established in 1857, this iconic park spans over 800 acres, making it larger than London's Hyde Park. Visitors can meander along scenic walking paths and expansive lawns while discovering a plethora of attractions. From the enchanting Alice in Wonderland statue to Belvedere Castle perched on Vista Rock, every corner reveals something new.
If there was a perfect city park, this would be it. It just is an amazing park. You can go for a stroll in the woods, sun bath in a grass meadow, see great entertainment, much of it free, rent a row boad on the lake, people watch and so much more. When you are in the park, in some areas it might not even seem like you are still in the city. Anyone visiting NYC should take the time to walk through and explore the park. There is an amazing zoo, a carousel, ice skating rink, and even a castle in the park. The pictures are of the reservoir at the north end of the park.

Central Park is more than just the heart of New York City — it’s the city’s soul. Spanning over 840 acres, this green oasis feels like a peaceful escape wrapped inside the chaos of Manhattan. The moment you step in, the city noise fades, replaced by the rustle of leaves, the laughter of joggers, and the sound of musicians under the bridges. Every corner of the park tells a story. From the romantic Bow Bridge arching gracefully over the lake to the grand Bethesda Terrace overlooking the fountain, it’s a photographer’s dream and a wanderer’s paradise. The pathways curve through gardens, open meadows, and quiet wooded areas — perfect for a morning run, a lazy picnic, or simply sitting on a bench and watching life pass by. What makes Central Park truly special is how it reflects the rhythm of New York itself. On one side, artists sketch and performers play violins; on the other, kids race their bikes while couples row across the lake. In winter, the Wollman Rink sparkles with skaters, and in spring, the cherry blossoms paint the park in pastel shades. Whether you’re a tourist seeing it for the first time or a local escaping your busy schedule, Central Park never feels the same twice. It’s timeless yet ever-changing — a living masterpiece right in the middle of skyscrapers. In a city that never sleeps, Central Park reminds you to breathe, slow down, and simply be. ⭐ Rating: 5/5 A must-visit — not just for its beauty, but for the peace and inspiration it offers.

Central Park is an urban park between the Upper West Side and Upper East Side neighborhoods of Manhattan in New York City, and the first landscaped park in the United States. It is the sixth-largest park in the city, containing 843 acres (341 ha), and the most visited urban park in the United States, with an estimated 42 million visitors annually as of 2016. Central Park is owned by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation but has been managed by the Central Park Conservancy since 1998 under a contract with the government of New York City in a public–private partnership. The conservancy, a non-profit organization, sets Central Park's annual operating budget and is responsible for care of the park. In 1858, landscape architects Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux won a design competition for the park with their "Greensward Plan". Construction began in 1857; existing structures, including a majority-Black settlement named Seneca Village, were seized through eminent domain and razed. The park's first areas were opened to the public in late 1858. Additional land at the northern end of Central Park was purchased in 1859, and the park was completed in 1876. After a period of decline in the early 20th century, New York City parks commissioner Robert Moses started a program to clean up Central Park in the 1930s. The Central Park Conservancy, created in 1980 to combat further deterioration in the late 20th century, refurbished many parts of the park starting in the 1980s.

I was absolutely fascinated by Central Park. I was expecting chaos but instead found an incredible sense of calm and a true spectacle of nature. What impressed me most was how clean and well-kept everything was. The autumn colors were beautiful, the atmosphere was peaceful (loved seeing the squirrels and horse-drawn carriages!), and the contrast of the green trees against the city skyscrapers is something you have to see to believe. It’s a stunning oasis in the middle of Manhattan. Highly recommended for a peaceful escape!

Central Park is absolutely beautiful !!! it’s hard to believe a place this big and peaceful exists right in the middle of the city. I loved exploring Belvedere Castle and Bethesda Fountain, and seeing all the iconic spots in person felt so special. Such a perfect place to just wander, relax, and take in the city from a completely different perspective.

After the watching the 'Stranger Things: The First Shadow' Broadway show at the Marquis Theatre on W46th St & 7th Ave, we walked the 0.7 miles up 7th Ave to the Central Park entrance at W59th St where I had my first NYC Hotdog from the Nathan's Hotdog stand. It was very tasty if a tad small for $6. We only walked in a very small section of the vast 843 acres, 2.5 miles long and 0.5 miles wide park, from the W59th St & 7Ave entrance to the Model Sailing Boat Lake and could have spent several days explore the different sections of this vast beautiful space, which is enjoyed daily by some many local New Yorkers and tourists. There were lots of people relaxing on the grass, walking, jogging, running, cycling & rollerblading through the park, together with rickshaws and horse drawn carriages carrying their passengers on the one directional circular road running around inside the park. We stopped off at the Le Pain Quotidien kiosk next to the Model Boating Lake for hot drinks & pastries at one of the tables, enjoying the late evening sunshine whilst watching people going by and children sailing their rented remote controlled model boats in the lake. There are public male & female toilets either side of the kiosk and a table service section for a selection of food & drinks. It wasn't too busy when we were there around 6pm on a Saturday evening and it was the perfect place to sit down, take a break, relax and watch the world go by in Central Park whilst enjoying a drink. We were fortunate to be there to listen to the famous Central Park guitar man, David Ippolito, playing some beautiful guitar music from across the boating lake opposite our table, in his regular Saturday slot. On our walk to the Model Boating Lake we passed the 1,800 seat open air Delacorte amphitheater inside the park, where free public shows of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' were being performed. My wife is a big fan of Shakespeare's plays and would have loved to have gone to see the play. However, as the vast majority of tickets were allocated via lottery to NYC residents we would have had to queue up in person in a standby line outside the theatre on the day, in the hope of getting one of these few ticket allocations and I didn't like Shakespeare enough to do that. As it was such beautiful warm late summer we decided to walk the 2.2 miles down Lexington Ave, from the park at 74th St down to our hotel at 36th St. Although it took a lot longer than taking the subway we really enjoyed seeing more of the city on foot.

I had never seen such a huge park in the city area. Spread across 800+ acres, this park has a lot of beautiful places to visit. We went to Bethesda terrace as our first spot here and it’s really worth visiting. Great spots to visit, sit, relax, run and click pictures. Loved the bow bridge. Must visit and highly recommended.

Definitely, the heart of NY. What a magical place to go! I spent hours there. The views around, house of so many movies. I felt in one there. Full of special, cosy places like little houses and benches around the lakes. Beautiful little bridges. Artists playing music and selling art everywhere.

Bridge
Sights & Landmarks
Landmark
The Brooklyn Bridge, a beloved landmark dating back to 1883, is a unique stone-and-steel structure that connects Manhattan and Brooklyn. It offers an iconic walk across its elevated promenade, providing breathtaking views of the East River and the city skyline. The bridge's location allows for easy access to both Lower Manhattan and the charming neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights with its stunning brownstones and row houses. Additionally, visitors can enjoy picturesque walks through Park Slope, another desirable residential area in Brooklyn.
In April 2022, I visited the Brooklyn Bridge, and it was one of the highlights of my New York trip. The weather was just right pleasant enough to enjoy the long walk across without feeling rushed. The bridge itself felt iconic the moment I stepped onto it; the stone arches and steel cables create a perfect mix of history and architecture that you’ve seen in pictures but feels entirely different in person. Walking from Manhattan toward Brooklyn, the skyline views were stunning, with the Freedom Tower on one side and the East River sparkling below. The pedestrian walkway was busy, as expected, but not overwhelming. There were cyclists, runners, tourists, and even street performers, which added to the vibrant energy. I stopped several times to take photos and simply take in the moment. What struck me most was how the bridge makes you feel part of the city’s heartbeat standing on it, you sense New York’s history and modern life blending together. Crossing into Brooklyn, I ended my walk with a visit to DUMBO, grabbing coffee and enjoying the waterfront park with more breathtaking views back toward the bridge. Overall, the experience was beautiful, memorable, and absolutely worth doing.

What a lovely bridge to walk across. It takes about 30 minutes from end to end. You can see in the distance the Statue of Liberty and on the other side the Manhattan Bridge. At the end of this bridge, if you go to Dumbo, that's a really good place to also spend some time afterwards. Have some pizza, experience the market, and take some great shots of Manhattan Bridge and down under Brooklyn Bridge.
MSJ — Google review
If you have to define this bridge in one word, it would be just beautiful. The pedestrian path to walk on this bridge from one end to other is a great experience. It’s always crowded with tourists but it’s a must do things to walk the bridge. It takes around 30 to 45 mins to cross the bridge with all the pictures clicking and viewing the city. The pictures taken from here are beautiful. Must do experience when you are in New York.
TANVEER A — Google review
The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in New York City and an absolute must-visit for anyone traveling here. It’s not just a bridge — it’s a piece of living history, connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn with breathtaking views of the skyline, East River, and Statue of Liberty. Built in 1883, it still stands strong as a symbol of New York’s spirit and innovation. The best part? It’s completely free to visit. You can walk or bike across at any time, day or night. The pedestrian walkway runs above the car lanes, giving you uninterrupted views and perfect photo opportunities. Walking from the Manhattan side to Brooklyn takes about 25–30 minutes at a comfortable pace, but it’s so scenic that you’ll probably stop multiple times to take photos. I highly recommend visiting early in the morning or around sunset. In the morning, it’s peaceful and quiet — perfect for photos without crowds. At sunset, the view of the Manhattan skyline turning golden is unforgettable. The night view, with city lights twinkling, is also magical. The bridge is well-maintained and feels safe for tourists. There are also plenty of vendors selling souvenirs, cold drinks, and snacks near both ends of the bridge. Once you reach the Brooklyn side, you can explore DUMBO, a trendy area with coffee shops, pizza places, and waterfront parks that offer amazing skyline views. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a New Yorker, the Brooklyn Bridge never loses its charm. It’s free, easy to access, and gives you some of the best views in the city. Walking across it feels like being part of New York’s history — a perfect blend of beauty, engineering, and timeless city energy.
Mahim P — Google review
During our previous visit to NYC in 2015 to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday we only walked 1/2 way across the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan and never went all the way over to explore Brooklyn, so on our return visit in Sep 2025 to celebrate her 60th birthday we decided to walk all the way across. Our journey started with a 15 min walk from our hotel on Lexington Ave down to Grand Central Station where we took the 6 subway train to the Brooklyn Bridge City Hall station. After exiting the subway we walked to the main entrance of the bridge on the East Side of City Hall Park to begin the 1.1 mile walk across to the DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass) area of Brooklyn. When we arrived at the bridge at around 11:30am on a Friday morning there were many tourists on the Bridge taking pictures and walking up to the mid point of the bridge with fantastic views of the Statute of Liberty to the right, the Manhattan Bridge on the left and the Manhatten skyline behind. The pedestrian walkway on the bridge is built above the road crossing so we were walking above a steady stream of cars they were passed slowly underneath us due the heavy volume of traffic. Subway trains don't go across the Brooklyn Bridge, however, they do go across the nearby Manhattan Bridge, below the road crossing. We saw a number of locks attached to the metal frame of the bridge, which are left as "love locks", as symbols of romantic commitment. Apparently this practice started around 2009, whereby couples inscribed their names on padlocks, attached them to the bridge, and often threw the keys into the water to signify their love was "unbreakable". However, this tradition has led to safety concerns and damage to the bridge, causing the city to remove thousands of locks and fine people for adding them. Many people only walked up to the mid point of the bridge before walking back to Manhattan, however, we continued walking across to Brooklyn where there was noticeably less people on the bridge in this latter section. It was a beautiful sunny day during our walk, which we enjoyed very much, stopping often to take photos and admire the fantastic views from the bridge

What an experience! If you visit NYC, you absolutely have to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. The view from up there is amazing — you get a stunning perspective of the city, and you can even see the Statue of Liberty 🗽. There are plenty of fun things to see and do along the way, which makes the walk even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this iconic NYC experience!
Victorandmanuela — Google review
Walking the Brooklyn Bridge is an absolute must-do when in New York. The bridge is a stunning architectural marvel with incredible, stylish towers. The views are spectacular—you get the best panoramic shots of the Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and the Rivers. Enjoying the sunset on the bridge was spectacular.
Prasanth K — Google review
DON’T FORGET TO RECORD AN OUTDOOR WALK ON YOUR FITNESS DEVICE FOR RECORD! So surreal. I’ve seen the Brooklyn Bridge in paintings, movies, TV shows—even on the black-and-white shower curtain hanging in my own bathroom. But to stand on it, to see it stretch across the East River in person… there’s something almost sacred about that moment. The bridge has watched over so much history since it opened in 1883—connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn, spanning generations, revolutions in architecture, and waves of change in New York itself. It was the first steel-wire suspension bridge ever built, and at the time, the longest in the world. Now, it’s an icon etched into the heart of the city and the people who walk it. Surprisingly, the best view isn’t at the Manhattan entrance. The most breathtaking moment is when you’re looking back from the Brooklyn side—skyline in the distance, the cables framing it all like a work of art. Getting there is part of the experience. Once you reach the District and Federal Courthouses, just follow the signs—or follow the crowd. They’ll lead you to one of the most unforgettable walks you can take in New York.

Times Square, also known as The Center of the Universe, is a vibrant and bustling destination located in the heart of New York City's Theater District. It is famous for its bright lights, shopping opportunities, and Broadway shows. This iconic area is a hub for art, entertainment, and commerce, attracting curious tourists and locals alike. With its high concentration of neon signs, billboards, and advertisements, Times Square offers plenty of photo opportunities at every turn.
Visiting Times Square at night for the first time was absolutely unforgettable! The vibrant lights, bustling energy, and towering digital billboards made it feel like the heartbeat of New York City. The atmosphere was electric, with music, street performers, and people from all around the world creating an exciting and lively vibe. The dazzling colors and massive screens truly come alive after dark — it’s like stepping into a movie scene. I felt safe, inspired, and amazed by the sheer scale of everything happening around me. It’s a place that captures the true spirit of NYC: bold, bright, and full of life. Highly recommend visiting at night — it’s magical and a must-see experience!

Times Square is unforgettable! On my trip to New York, I spent time here and it truly felt like the heartbeat of the city. The lights, energy, and atmosphere are simply unmatched, with people from all over the world filling the streets. When I was there at night, the giant billboards and dazzling colors came alive. I saw street performers, live music, cartoon characters posing for pictures, and tourists capturing photos everywhere. The whole vibe was electric, and I honestly felt like I was standing in the middle of a movie scene. Also, I scanned the mobile barcode and uploaded my picture on the billboard and about 10 minutes later, I saw myself up there. That was such a unique and unforgettable moment! 👉 Tips for visitors: • Best time to visit is after dark when the lights shine brightest. • Wear comfortable shoes you’ll walk a lot. • Keep your phone or camera ready, every corner is a photo opportunity. • It gets crowded, so stay mindful of your belongings. Times Square is busy, colorful, and alive — an experience I’ll never forget.

🌟 My Visit to Times Square, New York City My visit to Times Square was an unforgettable experience — vibrant, colorful, and full of energy 24/7! Known as “The Crossroads of the World,” it truly captures the spirit of New York City with its dazzling billboards, bustling crowds, and electric atmosphere. Standing amidst the towering LED screens and the constant buzz of activity felt surreal. Street performers, musicians, and costumed characters add to the excitement, making every corner of Times Square lively and entertaining. Whether it’s day or night, the energy here never fades. I also enjoyed browsing the many flagship stores, souvenir shops, and cafés. The TKTS booth at the red steps is a great spot to buy discounted Broadway show tickets — and the steps themselves are a perfect place to sit and take in the view of the glowing skyline. 📍 Tips for Visitors: • Visit after sunset to experience the full brilliance of the lights. • Keep your belongings secure — it can get very crowded. • Combine your visit with nearby attractions like Broadway theaters, Bryant Park, or Rockefeller Center. • For great photos, stand near the red steps or the 7th Avenue and 46th Street junction. Overall, Times Square is the beating heart of New York City — a dazzling symbol of its energy, culture, and excitement. A must-visit for every traveler! 🗽✨

This is the most happening place in the world, I have spent almost one and half hour here but feels like 5-10 minutes. You can spend hours and hours here. Also be careful about scammers here. Most beautiful skyline with digital billboards. You can take as much as photos here for your insta posts and reels.

It is truly difficult to find the words to describe the feeling of stepping into Times Square for the first time. I was left in complete awe. "Overwhelming" is the only word that even comes close. The scale of everything is staggering. The billboards aren't just bright; they are massive, towering screens that light up the entire area, even in the middle of the day. The sheer height of the buildings pressing in, the noise, the energy from the thousands of people—it’s a complete sensory overload in the most incredible way. I've attached photos, but they don't capture the feeling. You see it in movies, but being there in person, standing in the middle of it all... it's just something else. It feels like you're at the center of the world. You don't just visit Times Square, you experience it. It’s the vibrant, beating heart of New York City. Absolutely unforgettable.

Famous for its bright lights, massive digital billboards and neon signs create a spectacular visual display, casting a colorful glow that electrifies the atmosphere. The energy is palpable as crowds of tourists and locals stroll through the area, capturing photos and soaking in the iconic sights. Home to Broadway theaters, restaurants, and shops, Boutiques and shops line the streets, offering everything from unique souvenirs to high-end fashion, making it a shopper's paradise. The buzz of the city is accompanied by the sounds of street performers and the honking of traffic, contributing to the lively ambiance.

Rising majestically over Midtown Manhattan since 1931, the Empire State Building has been a magnet for visitors and tourists. This iconic Art Deco skyscraper boasts 102 stories and offers open-air observation decks on the 86th and 102nd floors, providing breathtaking views of the city. Visitors can also explore fascinating historic exhibits on-site. The building's prime location places it near Grand Central Station, the United Nations building, Times Square, and other cultural landmarks in Manhattan.
Visiting the Empire State Building was truly unforgettable. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I could feel the history and grandeur of this iconic landmark. The Art Deco design is stunning, and the elevator ride to the top builds so much excitement. The view from the 86th floor is absolutely breathtaking — you can see the entire Manhattan skyline, Central Park, and even the Statue of Liberty in the distance. I went just before sunset, and watching the city lights come alive was magical. Everything was well-organized, the staff were friendly, and the experience felt smooth from start to finish. It’s not just a tourist spot — it’s a symbol of New York itself. A must-see for anyone visiting the city!

Go see it, you won't regret the time you spend exploring this iconic building. We're from NZ, so this was a bucket list visit and I loved everything about the museum walkthrough, old footage and experiential stuff. Views are phenomenal, breath taking even on a good day like we had. We just looked and looked at the vast expanse of this city and didn't want to leave. So much NY history in the one place, it's worth the entry fee for sure. If you are remotely interested in the Empire State Building you'll love it.

Visiting the Empire State Building was an unforgettable experience and truly one of the highlights of my trip to New York City. From the moment you walk into the beautifully restored Art Deco lobby, you feel the history and elegance of this world-famous landmark. The building is incredibly well maintained, and the exhibits about its construction and cultural significance are fascinating. The elevator ride up is fast and smooth, and once you reach the observation decks, the views are absolutely spectacular. Seeing the entire Manhattan skyline, Central Park, and even the Statue of Liberty from above is simply magical especially around sunset or at night when the city lights sparkle in every direction. The staff were friendly and helpful, keeping the experience organized even with many visitors. The lines move quickly, especially if you book tickets in advance. Overall, the Empire State Building is a symbol of New York’s energy, ambition, and beauty. Whether it’s your first time in the city or your tenth, standing at the top never loses its magic. A must-visit attraction for anyone wanting to feel the true heart of NYC!

This is a MUST SEE place when visiting NYC! so many cool things to learn while waiting to get in the elevator. Love all the photos of the building under construction and photos of all the famous people at the Empire State Building. And no matter how many times I have been to the top, the view never gets old!! Highly recommend. We did both the 86 and 102 floor!
Mary M — Google review
I chose the ESB over the Rock and other viewing platforms for it's historical significance. Built in 1931, in one year and 45 days, featured in many famous movies and recognized around the world. It even has it's own zip code! My first time in NYC so definitely had to go all the way up to the 102nd floor which is completely enclosed so good for cold weather! But you have great views from the 86th floor also which is open air and enclosed. Reservations are required and earlier is less busy.

Visiting the Empire State Building is definitely a must when you’re in New York City. Getting there is very easy since it’s right in the heart of Manhattan, surrounded by subway stations and bus stops. Once inside, however, be prepared for long lines, strict security checks, and lots of people—it’s not the easiest place to explore. That being said, the moment you reach the observation deck, all the effort feels absolutely worth it. The views of the city are breathtaking, especially at sunset, and you really get to appreciate New York from a whole new perspective. It is a bit expensive compared to other attractions, but considering the history, the architecture, and the unforgettable skyline, it’s truly one of those experiences you’ll remember for a lifetime.
Muhammed C — Google review
Honestly, visiting the Empire State Building was such a cool experience. You always see it in movies and pictures, but standing there in person feels completely different. The building is massive, and the lobby inside is beautiful. Everything is set up really well for tourists, so it doesn’t feel too confusing even though there are a lot of people. The museum on the way up was actually pretty fun. I didn’t think I’d care much about it, but it shows how the building was made and all the history behind it, which makes the visit feel more special. Then the elevator ride to the top is super quick—it’s kind of exciting how fast it goes. The view from the top is unreal. You can see the whole city, from Central Park to the Statue of Liberty, and even out into New Jersey. I went in the afternoon and stayed until it got dark, and that was the best choice because you get both the daytime city view and then the night skyline all lit up, which is amazing. It’s a little pricey, but honestly worth it for the experience and the views. Definitely something you should do at least once if you’re in New York.
Teodora Š — Google review
I found the 86th floor to be pretty adequate for photos.I didn't see a point to go all the way to the top, To be honest. The views are pretty spectacular. You get to take photos from both the eightieth floor and then open air eighty sixth floor. There's lots of museum and stuff to look through before you get up to the elevators, you can either look at it or skip it.It's up to you. Then, at the end, of course, there's a gift shop. I would highly recommend this. I would probably recommend it over some of the other tall buildings because of the history surrounding this one. And it's pretty centrally located, so you can see everything from the eighty sixth floor.

Top of The Rock is an observatory located on top of Rockefeller Center, featuring an ocean-liner style design and providing stunning city views. Visitors can explore Rockefeller Center, known for hosting The Today Show, shopping opportunities, and dining options before taking the elevator to the Top of The Rock for a bird's-eye view of the city. Unlike the Empire State Building, this vantage point allows capturing photos with the iconic building in them.
One of the best views of Manhattan from a top of a building, better than Empire State Building or the Freedom Tower!!! Upon entry you will receive a video introduction to the making of The Rockefeller Center in a theater. You can see all of the downtown including Empire State Building, Central Park, Freedom Tower, etc etc etc. You can go up to 67th, 69th and 71st floor. The top floor does not have glasses so you can get a better quality photos. 96th floor has the Beam Experience for additional $25. 71st floor has the Skylift for additional $35 or it is part of the VIP Pass. It is best to make a reservatios! Be on tine!!!. Highly recommended.

This was my second time at Top of the Rock (my first visit was about 10 years ago), and it was nice to see the updates like Skylift and The Beam. My husband and I tried The Beam Experience, which was fun and made for a nice photo, though it was over pretty quickly. We purchased our tickets for The Beam separately at Rockefeller Center, and they offered a discount when buying one of the attractions on the site. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but nothing too crazy or unique compared to some of the newer observation decks in NYC, like Edge or Summit. Still, it’s worth checking out if you’ve never been, especially for the classic Central Park views. For first-time visitors to Manhattan’s observation decks, it could definitely be a great experience. The views are especially stunning from the open-air top floor with no glass or windows, and additions like The Beam add a fun touch.

Awesome experience. Video about history is first stop. 1st level is windows, 2nd is plexiglass finally the 3rd is open. Make sure to dress appropriately (sun, wind, heat, cold). I had originally booked a day that ended up being cold and overcast. I was able to change reservations to another day. Beam experience was only $15 once you were at the top. The sky lift look so awesome. Kinda wish I had done it. Several people stated this is the best observation experience in NYC. I can only compare to WTC. I didn't go to Summit or Edge

I brought tickets for 2 .. around 62 $ each. I really love the view from top of the building. I stay since before sunset , sunset time until night. Spending time around 1 and a half hours. So amazing and beautiful 360degree. breathtaking, panoramic city views, so so good especially of Central Park and the Empire State Building, making it a popular attraction. This was my excellent experience and this place was recommended. Top of the rock at rockefeller building , New York.

Top of the Rock was fantastic — much quieter than the Empire State Building, which made the experience way more enjoyable. The views to the north are incredible, especially over Central Park. You also get a perfect view of the Empire State Building, which you obviously can’t get if you’re standing on it! Highly recommend going around sunset for the best light.
Rachael T — Google review
The views here were amazing. We went at sunset so it was a little crowded but we were still able to see the skyline and get lots of good pictures. I would recommend getting the tickets a time slot or two earlier than sunset because you have to go through a short video presentation first so if you go right at sunset could cause you to miss the best parts. The video itself is really well done and interesting and we enjoyed it. Good food options on top as well.

A truly unforgettable experience! The views from the Top of the Rock are absolutely stunning — you can see all of Manhattan and Central Park in one perfect panorama. Definitely a must see when in NYC! If you’re a local and to be a tourist in your own city, check out for local deals. You need a local zip code to verify address. Great views of upper Manhattan of Central Park and lower Manhattan too since you’re literally in midtown! They put a mini 5 minute show before heading up. There’s also a bar on top to enjoy a drink with the views. All in all, great NYC experience!

The High Line is a renowned elevated park built on an old railway line, offering stunning views of the city and the river. This 1.45-mile-long linear park in Manhattan was transformed from an abandoned railway viaduct into a popular public space in 2009. Designed by Dutch landscape architect Piet Oudolf, the park features a continuous walkway surrounded by gardens with diverse plant species that thrived on the disused rail line.
This is a beautiful walk with nice photo ops and places to rest asking the way. There are sculptures, paintings, and snack stands. Signs along the way give a little bit about what you're looking at. The walk is easy and well maintained. We really enjoyed it.
MaryD D — Google review
This is the best part of NYC for me. A previously abandoned above ground railway has been transformed into a park above the streets of downtown Manhattan. They are also growing lots of plants, wild herbs and flowers to bring life and greenery into this corner of the city. It's good to see they're continually expanding it. I especially love being able to sit and read or watch the world go by at the giant window midway through the park. An innovative way to repurpose an historic part of the city.

This is such a cool walking path/pedestrian route for anyone wanting to walk near the Hudson Yard area to Pier 57/Chelsea Market. Lots of green spaces and natural plantings with the old railroad lines, and places with stairs and elevators to go down to street level. Nice way to see some cool buildings and avoid traffic and stoplights. You can enter near the Vessel in Hudson Yard area, or end there if you start above the Chelsea Market.

Great park to go for fun or just because. I always love going here. It is very practical as well when you go up and down of the city. Great place to get a view of city. It was a good way to get to Chelsea market from other part of the city. I highly recommend!

This walk is so nice, it's hard to believe it's free (privately funded, donations accepted). We stopped for several minutes to listen to a mockingbird perform his concert! Super clean bathrooms, and there are no pets allowed, so with all the plants, it smells nice too. Not too crowded on weekdays.

It was a childhood dream to visit here. And this place didn't disappoint; it's beautiful, just like in the movies. The building's lobby is captivating with its massive murals. The courtyard with fountains and benches is very cozy. It's even more beautiful here with the festive winter decorations.

They all work seamlessly so every visit here is a magical experience! The allowance for t he modest use of cell phones to record memories is so very welcome!! Hands down, this is the best rooftop view in New York City! While the Empire State Building is great, Top of the Rock offers an unobstructed, breathtaking view of both the Empire State Building and Central Park. Ticket prices vary, but general admission starts at around $40-44 USD. It's absolutely worth every penny. For the best photos and experience, try to visit during sunset. The three different levels of outdoor observation decks give you plenty of space to enjoy the incredible 360-degree view. Highly recommend it

An absolute must-see in New York City! The Rockefeller Center combines history, style, and one of the best observatory experiences in the city. The Top of the Rock offers breathtaking views in every direction – especially Central Park to the north and the Empire State Building to the south. This was our first trip to Brooklyn and we loved it. A big reason got that was our trip to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. I can honestly say that if I lived in Brooklyn, I would visit the garden at every opportunity. The peace and beauty of the garden can certainly calm the mind. It so happened that we were there while they were celebrating the 100th year of their bonsai display. And we capped the experience off with lunch in the park's Cafe. A great memory to take with us as our trip to the burough came to an end.

I love the garden. Even though I’ve visited a few gardens over the years, this one (luckily my local one) is the best. There are lots of hidden treasures, quiet paths, and lawns to relax on, plus flowers, trees, and bushes from all over the world. You can easily spend a few hours or the whole day here. There are plenty of birds, animals, and beautiful statues scattered throughout. Nature heals. Make sure to stop by the “gift shop.” It was updated a few years ago and now looks state-of-the-art.

One of the most beautiful gardens in NYC. You can spend hours here. It is very large and has a lot of different sections and exhibits. There are specific sections that closes earlier than the botanical garden itself, so you want to do your research on what you want to see. This is just one of the things you should see if you are in NYC.

Over the weekend I visited the botanical garden in Brooklyn. From the start the city fades away: it’s quiet, well kept, and full of greenery with neat walking paths. The routes are easy to follow—take a short loop or wander longer and pause in the calmer corners. I loved the mix of open areas and wilder-feeling spots; it feels outside the city even though you’re still in it. Overall it felt clean, intentional, and relaxing. I left feeling inspired and refreshed—a great weekend escape without the hassle.

Absolutely love this place, safe secured. Super fun vibe. It has everything from broad walk to food music firework, adventure park, arcades games etc etc

The water is amazing, and the vibe is great. Be prepared to spend a lot so I recommend maybe bring food, leave the money for the games! The waves are great, the depth is great, and watch the young ones as the waves can get a little rough.

Love this place. Always a good time. Nathan's is fantastic. Fun, games and rides... the aquarium is right there too. Boardwalk is cool.. and the beach! What more can you ask for??

Authentic Coney Island hot dogs. They use Nathan’s beef hot dogs & also have a pork and beef alternative. The atmosphere is really enjoyable and feels like a hidden gem. We ordered a traditional Coney Island for authenticity. I also ordered a Mexican fries as I overheard the host. They were smothered in chili, cheese sauce, onions, and jalapeño relish. It was very. enjoyable. The Coney Island traditional hot dogs were great. My wife also loved the traditional Coney Island dog who’s an enormous food critic with her family having owned restaurants. The hosts were very friendly & gave free refills. Will definitely come back again and recommend. Their awards fits the establishment.

Knocked it off my bucket list and to my delight. So much to enjoy from the views to the rides. Save your appetite because there's unique delicious food at every turn.

I've been coming here for years, both as a kid and now with friends! If you're planning to go on the ride shown in the first picture, definitely wear a jacket. It gets hella cold when the wind hits your face, especially since you're up there for about a minute, and I'm someone who's really sensitive to the cold

Well worth the visit while staying in Manhattan. A $5.80 return metro/subway train takes you directly to the beach from Times square/42 port authority bus station. Cost effective if your travelling on a budget

Nature & Parks
Prospect Park, Brooklyn's answer to Central Park, was designed by the same architects and boasts similar attractions. The park features lakes, boathouses, zoos, and a picturesque trail called the Ravine with its own waterfalls. Inspired by the Adirondack Mountain range in Upstate New York, this area of the park offers a serene escape within the city. Visitors can explore a 3.
Prospect Park is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of New York City, nestled right in the center of Brooklyn. Often overshadowed by its more famous counterpart, Central Park, Prospect Park offers a similarly stunning natural retreat—but with a fraction of the crowds. That’s what makes it so special. The park is immaculately clean, filled with expansive green spaces, shaded areas that offer a break from the summer heat, and beautifully maintained walking paths. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful solo walk, a family picnic, or a fun day with children, this park has something for everyone. There are several playgrounds scattered throughout the park, making it an ideal destination for families with young kids. One of the highlights is the Prospect Park Zoo, a charming, small zoo with a surprisingly wide variety of animals. Tickets are reasonably priced—around $11 for adults—and the experience is well worth it. Another favorite among children is the carousel, which brings old-school joy and nostalgia. A ride costs only $3, and the smiles on the children’s faces are priceless. What truly sets Prospect Park apart is its peaceful atmosphere. You won’t find the overwhelming crowds or endless streams of tourists here. Instead, you’ll find space to breathe, relax, and enjoy nature at your own pace. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, I highly recommend setting aside a few hours to explore this Brooklyn treasure. You’ll leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and maybe even a little more in love with New York City.

Came to see the movies in the Park, Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Weather was amazing! They give you these like lawn chairs but it’s on the ground, you can keep them, easy to carry. Free popcorn, seltzer water and T-Shirts. Very nice for the kids to run around while getting some fresh air. Sound was good to the speaker tower placement and no bad seats. Movie stared around 7:40, waiting for the sun to go down. Everyone was peaceful and cleaned up behind themselves after the movie was over. Did I mention, it was free? Can’t go wrong. Movie ended about 9:45 and walking back through the park, good lighting. No worries but again, I wasn’t alone. Good evening.

Absolutely love prospect park! It’s so beautiful and large. It has many pleasant areas to sit and watch people and animals. It’s super peaceful and serene. Wonderful bike and hiking trails. A must for natives and tourists alike:)

This park is very spacious, clean and perfect for walks or other family and friends activities or just looking to detach yourself from the busyness of city life. Its proximity to the train station and nearby cafes and restaurants make it attractive too. So if you’re visiting Brooklyn or looking for another alternative park other than Central Park, this is the place to be.
Francesandfrancis — Google review
Very nice escape located centrally in Brooklyn. Walking through it you can experience peaceful rural areas, or see Brooklyn’s diversity in the more crooked areas. It’s a bit dirty in spots, and difficult to keep up with cleaning due to the amount of people that visit the park. Great for a run, bike ride, or simply to relax at. The restrooms are very limited, and only the one on the large building is somewhat passable. The other one on the west side near the playground is less cared for, as is the other two in the center and East side.
Rollinover — Google review
A great place to enjoy nature and the outdoors, with expansive, beautifully landscaped green spaces and paths ideal for walking or cycling. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, making it an enjoyable experience for all ages.

I visited a couple of weeks ago, right as fall color peaked. I grabbed a coffee and wandered the winding paths in Brooklyn: leaves crunching under my shoes, trees shifting from gold to deep red, and that crisp, clean air. There’s room for everyone—you can stroll by the water, sit on a bench, and watch the foliage reflect on the surface. What I liked most is how the city noise fades into the background, leaving just the wind and a few quiet conversations. There are big open lawns for relaxing and tucked-away corners if you want solitude. I spent a few hours there and left clear-headed—a perfect spot to soak up autumn.

I remember during covid this park as many parks in each Boro became such important places. From people who have roommates and needed a little space to excicise professionals and the once in while walkers and bikers in the park. It's really a great park . At some points in the park you can barely see the rest of Brooklyn and there are bird watchers of the variety of birds in the park. My wife and I would walk and talk or listen to music on our headphones. There are barbecues and birthday parties or sunbathing in the warmer months. From food bizarre yoga classes .the park peace officers and NYPD is a constant patrol.

Governors Island, a 172-acre former US Army base, is now a year-round public park accessible by ferry from Manhattan and Brooklyn. The island features forts, historic buildings, and green open spaces reminiscent of a small New England town. Visitors can enjoy biking along the waterfront, art shows, concerts, festivals, and family programs.
A peaceful escape just a short ferry ride away, perfect for a relaxed date or weekend hangout. Renting bikes is a fun way to explore the open spaces and scenic views, and there are plenty of cute spots to grab food or drinks. It feels calm but still full of things to do — from lounging in hammocks to walking by the water. A great mix of nature, good eats, and a little adventure without leaving the city.

It was awesome. I felt like I had traveled back in time. The organizers paid major attention to detail and made the experience smooth and enjoyable, from check-in to the time I left. My only suggestion is regarding the baskets for 2. There should have been 2 cookies and 2 pastries (one for each person). I'm already planning for next year.

What an experience ! I highly recommend to do it. It is a little adventure to go and spend the day over there. First you have to take the boat (the public one at $2,90 the trip) After you can spend the day in an empty "city". It looks a bit like a "ghost town". You can rent a city bike over there and just enjoy the day without any cars around you with some amazing photo spots of NYC/status of liberty in the background. I visited Governors Island after some friends recommended it and booked us the QC NY Spa experience. Honestly, I’d never even heard of Governors Island before they mentioned it! We arrived at the Battery Maritime Building at Slip 7 just before 10 a.m., and the ferry line was already long. Pro tip: if you have a QC Spa reservation, the ferry is free. Boats run every 30 minutes, and the ride is only about 7 minutes, perfect for anyone like me who gets seasick, since it’s literally just across the water. With about 15 minutes to spare before our spa check-in, we wandered over to Castle Williams (aka the Haunted Fort). Built in 1811 as part of New York’s harbor defenses, it later served as a military prison and picked up a reputation for ghostly sightings and eerie stories. Rangers told us to come back at 4 p.m. for the historical artillery demonstration, where they show how cannons were loaded and fired back in the 1800s. Unfortunately, a heavy rainstorm cut our plans short, so we just lined up early for the ferry back. I was bummed we didn’t get to explore more of the island. I spotted food trucks and bike rentals that I’d love to check out next time. That’s okay though, it just gives me the perfect reason to come back and explore this historic and unique island a little deeper.

Governors Island is simply breathtaking — a true hidden gem of New York that combines history, nature, and pure beauty in the most wonderful way. The moment you step off the ferry, you feel like you’ve entered a completely different world, far removed from the noise and rush of Manhattan. What makes the island so special is its unique blend of wide open green spaces, quiet shaded corners, and stunning views of the Statue of Liberty and the skyline. The natural beauty here is remarkable: rolling meadows, tree-lined paths, colorful flowers, and art installations that blend perfectly with the landscape. It’s the kind of place where you just want to slow down, breathe deeply, and take it all in. Walking or biking around the island is pure joy. Everywhere you look, there’s something beautiful — from the old historic buildings to the peaceful waterfront. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, and you can always find a spot to sit by yourself and simply admire the view. In the middle of a bustling metropolis, Governors Island feels like a green sanctuary. It’s where nature, history, and relaxation meet, and it leaves you with the feeling that you’ve discovered something truly special.

The opening of Eco Art on Island – II, organized by the Taiwanese American Arts Council, turned House 17 and its lawns into a meeting ground of ecology, art, and community. Twenty artists explored resilience through recycled and natural materials, cityscapes, and reflections on technology. Outdoors, Wang Guo Ren’s Deer God: Migration Trajectory – New York Chapter, built from driftwood and paint, stood as a spectral guardian recalling Taiwan’s sika deer and colonial history. Nearby, John Chia-Hsuan Kuo’s Gaia Formosa – The Elegant Lady honored Taiwan’s women and plants, weaving symbolism of grassroots resistance and democratic awakening into ceramic form. Indoors, paintings of urban greenery, stark black-and-white photographs, and clay sound vessels by Eugenie Chao carried viewers from memory to ecology, touch to listening. At noon, cellist Shu-Wei Tseng and violinist Laura Thompson filled the gallery with a lyrical duet, their music mingling with sculptural presences. Later, Julia Hsiao-Chu Hsia’s dance performance extended the theme into embodied movement. On the porch, visitors shared fruit and pastries, reinforcing the event’s atmosphere of conviviality. Eco Art on Island – II offered more than an exhibition: it was a moment of gathering, reminding us that ecological reflection thrives in community, art, and shared rituals of care.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, located in Central Park, New York City, is a world-renowned museum housing over two million pieces of art from various time periods and cultures. From Egyptian hieroglyphics to European masterpieces by artists like Picasso and Van Gogh, the museum offers a comprehensive look at human civilization.
Finally had enough time to spend some quality time at this incredible collection of art and history. No way to fully describe the size of this place.... It is MASSIVE and loaded up and very overwhelming. I would imagine one would be easily able to spend a few days here, if you were looking and absorbing the art at a normal pace. I also went to check out the rooftop that is closing down soon for a few years - lovely view and no wait before noon on the Sunday that I went. I really loved the musical instrument rooms.

Wonderful experience. When you get here especially on the weekends there is a long line but rest assured it goes very fast but I don't mind for security sake. There are discounts for new Yorkers and veterans seniors. As soon as you walk in you will be amazed with the elaborate staircase and walking in on the first floor welcome to ancient Egypt. Explore the continents Africa Europe Asia..... my wife and I enjoy it I like the old houses inside she likes the paintings. And a cafe on the first floor and a restaurant on top I believe 5th. It's a oasis in the middle of the big apple 🍎 ..

Amazing, astounding, and about a thousand more superlatives can only properly describe this museum. Spent about three hours today and didn't get beyond the first floor. The Greek and Egyptian collections are mind-blowing, the chance to see the detail that masters and artists put into their craft, to ponder the hours dedicated to an expression of the images in the mind's eye. Unless you have a list of what you want to see, you'll have to set aside a few days to truly breathe this place in.

It was my very first time at The MET and the experience was absolutely incredible! The staff at the reception were welcoming and attentive, and the ticket entry was smooth with no lines at all. Security was also very friendly, which made everything even more pleasant. Every gallery is breathtaking, and the history behind each piece makes it even more fascinating. You could easily spend hours and hours exploring without ever getting bored. Truly unforgettable!

I am a frequent visitor to the museum and it's always a pleasure. Will definitely say that the local pricing comes in clutch, but also male sure you check NYCPS holiday schedule to avoid buskers days. Currently, they're doing a lot of renovations and I'm excited to see what the next 5 years will bring. Will say if you aren't a local, definitely try to plan to come when the met gala exhibit is on and don't forget to see the instruments!
Natalia C — Google review
The MET is definitely one of the top 5 museums to visit while in NYC and probably the top 1 to consider visiting if you are in the city for a short time. Buy tickets online will save you time at the counter. The museum opens at 10, and there was already a long queue forming outside to enter. The depth and quality of the art pieces are very good, with extensive artefacts ranging from Antiquity to modern history. Strolling through the museum will set you back in time and can be overwhelming, in a positive way. As the museum is very big, do some research ahead to select the areas you’d like to see in priority. Around certain art exhibited it could get busy but that moves pretty fast. The rooftop on level 5 offers. Nice view over Central Park and manhattan. Finally, wear your most comfortable shoes as the museum is a maze that surely will amaze you.

HUGE museum, I spent there 5 hours and wasn't able to see everything even thoug I was walking past exhibitions quite fast. I would recommend picking certain wings or exhibits and devoting time for them. It's impossible to see whole thing during one visit. On top of that there is also a roof deck where you can enjoy views of Manhattan. Truly spectacular!

The Metropolitan Museum of Art is not only one of the largest museums in the U.S., but also in the entire world. Because of its vast collection, it’s incredibly easy to get lost if you go in without a plan. I highly recommend joining one of the free guided tours — it’s the best way to see the highlights and hear the fascinating stories behind them. Beyond that, grab a museum map, mark the sections that interest you most, and explore those areas. Otherwise, trying to see the entire museum in one go is nearly impossible — even three full days wouldn’t be enough!

Grand Central Terminal, also known as Grand Central Station, is a historic train station in New York City. Completed in 1913, it boasts a grand facade and a magnificent main concourse adorned with Tennessee-marble floors and Italian-marble ticket counters. The vaulted ceiling of the main concourse features a stunning mural of constellations designed by French painter Paul Cesar Helleu. Despite being primarily a commuter and traveler hub, it is also one of the world's top tourist attractions.
Grand Central Terminal is absolutely breathtaking! From the stunning architecture and the celestial ceiling in the main concourse to the constant energy and movement, it's a true New York City landmark. Whether you're catching a train, grabbing a bite, or just exploring, there's something magical about this place. The mix of history, elegance, and hustle makes it feel like you're in the heart of the city. A must-visit spot, even if you're not traveling!
Ankit B — Google review
Grand Central Terminal is the third busiest train station in North America, behind New York’s Pennsylvania Station and Toronto’s Union Station. The unique architecture and interior design of the Grand Central Station have been designated several landmarks, including a National Historic Landmark. The Beaux-Arts style design is reflected in numerous works of art. In the center of the concourse is the information booth, which features a brass clock on all four sides, one of Grand Central’s most recognizable symbols. As old as the station is, it is a place of enormous construction cost and engineering excellence. Grand Central is one of the busiest train stations in the world, with approximately 750,000 visitors per day. A must-see on any Grand Central tour is the $20 million opaline clock above the information booth. Grand Central Terminal is one of the top 10 most visited tourist attractions in the world, and the main concourse of the terminal is often used as a meeting place, especially in movies and on TV. Grand Central Terminal was designed and built with two main levels for passengers: the upper level for intercity trains and the lower level for commuter trains. Grant Central Terminal was originally named after the New York Central Railroad, which operated from 1900 to 1910. The current new terminal was built from 2007 to 2023. The constellations are embroidered on the ceiling of the constellations, and sometimes you can see cute scenes of children lying on the floor and looking at the constellations embroidered on the ceiling. The doors leading into the terminal from 42nd Street show traces of its long history. Note: Beaux-Arts architecture was an academic architectural style taught at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris from the 1830s to the late 19th century. It was based on the principles of French neoclassicism, incorporating elements of the Renaissance and Baroque styles, and using modern materials such as iron, glass, and later steel. It was an important style and had a huge influence on institutions and public buildings, especially in Europe and the United States, from the late 19th century to the 20th century.

Grand Central Terminal is far more than just a train station – it’s a true New York landmark and a must-see for any visitor to the city. As one of the busiest transport hubs in the world, the constant movement of people adds a sense of energy and urgency that’s uniquely New York. Despite the crowds, the atmosphere is captivating and full of character. What really makes Grand Central stand out is its breathtaking architecture. From the celestial ceiling of the Main Concourse to the grand arched windows and marble staircases, every detail is a testament to American ambition and craftsmanship. It’s a space that reflects the era when the United States was building not just infrastructure, but a global legacy of power and progress. Walking through Grand Central gives you a real sense of history and purpose – it’s both a functional space and a symbol of what America once set out to achieve. A perfect blend of beauty, scale, and purpose. Definitely worth visiting, even if you’re not catching a train.

Iconic landmark with stunning architecture Grand Central Terminal is not just a train station but a New York City icon. As a tourist visiting New York City, Grand Central Station was my favorite building. You could see and feel the history of the building. The best part about being inside the station is thinking about how important it was to building the city and how it currently helps facilitate so much of the business in the city. Also, it is amazing to think about the important people from history who have set foot in the same location! Highly recommend as a stop touring the city!

This has been the station I’ve used for years as my main connection between home and the city. Even though it’s a hub for both locals and tourists, from my perspective as a local, I still find it beautiful—especially from an architectural point of view. It’s full of history, and every time I arrive here, I feel like I’m stepping into a place that matters—somewhere meaningful. There’s always so much going on: people arriving, leaving, tourists, commuters… and I love that. It captures the magic of New York’s diversity. Trains run frequently, and you can easily catch the line that suits your destination. Ticket prices vary, but I recommend downloading the MTA app to check schedules and buy tickets online. You can also get them at the booths—it’s a bit old-school, but it has its charm (I used to do that a lot back when I was in school). What I love most is the art deco style—it reflects the elegance that made early 20th-century New York so iconic. The restrooms are usually clean, there are quick bites available if you’re in a hurry, and the self-service machines are convenient. Overall, it’s an efficient, accessible terminal—and I truly love it.

Experience the breathtaking views of New York City from the iconic Empire State Building. Take a leisurely walk across the historic Brooklyn Bridge or relax in Central Park. Indulge in some window shopping along Fifth Avenue and immerse yourself in luxury living. Don't miss out on visiting the Statue of Liberty and exploring the Prohibition era history in Hell's Kitchen.

Jackie H — Google review
Wondering if it’s worth visiting without going inside? Absolutely. We walked to its base just to admire the architecture, and it was well worth it. Up close, you can really take in the neo-classical columns, the fluting that runs the full height of the structure, and those curtained art deco windows that define its era. It’s a landmark that rewards those who stop to actually look. But the real magic happens at night. The lights shimmer against the NYC clouds in extraordinary color, modern vibrance meeting historic design. Take a moment to stand beneath it, look up, and feel alive. It’s a quiet reminder of what people can create when they reach high enough.

The River Café, a renowned eatery with a New American menu and breathtaking views of Manhattan, has recently undergone renovations. Despite its strict rules and high prices, the restaurant offers delicious upscale dishes in a waterfront setting that provides stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, Brooklyn Bridge, and the East River. The establishment is ideal for special occasions such as birthday dinners or anniversaries. Its unique location under the Brooklyn Bridge makes it stand out among other restaurants in Brooklyn.
✨Lovely & Romantic Evening at The River Café ✨ We had the most wonderful experience here. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome set the tone for the evening. The atmosphere was romantic, with stunning views to New York landscape that made everything feel extra special. The service was attentive and professional, making us feel truly taken care of. Every moment—from the start to when we left—was enjoyable, and it’s clear that this is a place where both the food and the experience matter. A truly memorable evening! 🌹🎂

We visited The River Café over the holidays with high expectations, especially considering it has been, and still is, regarded as the most exclusive fine dining American restaurant on the water in NYC since 1977. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of what one would expect from such a prestigious establishment. From the moment we arrived, the service felt cold and uninviting. There was a noticeable lack of warmth and attentiveness—it genuinely felt as though we weren’t treated like guests. The level of hospitality simply didn’t match the reputation the restaurant carries. The food was also underwhelming. For a place with such a longstanding legacy, I expected a memorable and refined culinary experience. Instead, the dishes lacked flavor, creativity, and finesse. For the price, it’s simply not the most worthwhile food in New York there are plenty of other restaurants in the city offering far better meals at a similar or even lower cost. The only highlight of the evening was the ambiance the view of the Brooklyn Bridge is undeniably beautiful and adds charm to the setting. Sadly, that was the only part of the evening that lived up to the restaurant’s reputation. Overall, what should have been a festive and elevated dining experience turned out to be a major letdown. For a restaurant that claims such exclusivity and history, it simply didn’t deliver on food, service, or value
Rhed — Google review
Definitely not worth it. I was very disappointed in this experience especially considering the steep price tag. The best part of going here was the entrance autumn decor and the sunset drive over Brooklyn bridge. We were seated at a rubbish table even though I had booked back in February and the restaurant wasn't fill at the time of reservation. So we had a horrible view of the back wall and the service station (I saw they did this to numerous young couples). If you have a yearning for the "experience" I would recommend you stop by the outside to take in the views of the exterior decorations and maybe pop in for a glass of wine at the bar, and then take yourself elsewhere for a decent meal and good service. Service is just meh, the food is not memorable or particularly well executed. The duck was very tender and so was the octopus. But the dishes as a whole were not tasty or good quality. The souffle was curdled and had scrambled eggs vibes and the cheap chocolate used on the bridge dessert made it pretty awful.

Are you looking for an elegant location in Brooklyn with a stunning view of Manhattan? This is your choice. The atmosphere is beautiful. The food on the menu is Michelin-star quality dishes. The River Café offers a dine-in experience or a dine-in experience for extravagant weddings. I recently had my sister’s wedding reception here and everything from the ceremony to the cake cutting was handled with care. It was a top-notch experience. The staff were very polite. The prices were high, and the high costs will bring you top-quality service and Michelin-starred dishes. I highly recommend you try this restaurant out.

I had an amazing birthday here. The service and food were amazing. The drinks were prefect. They made me feel like I was the only one there. The steak with the bone marrow had me wanting seconds. Don't forget the brandy flight they were so smooth and flavorful even if you're not a brandy person you will enjoy

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely delighted! I’m truly impressed — The River lives up perfectly to its reputation. It’s the ideal restaurant for celebrating any special occasion or simply indulging in a true gastronomic journey. You won’t find this level of quality in American cuisine anywhere else. Everything is flawless — from the moment you step inside to the very end of your visit. The view, the atmosphere, the service — all deserve a solid 10/10.

Best Michelin-star restaurant for me! Had great experience with all food we got and drinks. Only I don’t like they give us kind of old jacket for man to wear. I understand dress code rules but it’s kind of not pleasant to wear something after other people. But even with this rule food experience was amazing for us!

Washington Square Park, located in the heart of Greenwich Village, is a historic and vibrant public space that offers prime people-watching opportunities. The park features a stately arch and is a popular spot for locals, NYU students, families, and tourists. It's known for its diverse array of activities including musicians, jugglers, chess players, street artists, and skateboarders.
Pretty interesting spot that deserves at least a visit. I have been here at least 4 times during my trips to NYC in the last decade and had a great experience every one of them. People come here to connect with art, have fun and chill. As any place in Manhattan, there is always a nearby subway station. The best times to visit are early in the morning when there are less people or during sunset which delivers the best colors and pictures.

This square has a European feel to it. It is a nice place to visit though a section of the park seems to attract drug users. Be vigilant especially if you visit with kids. I love the live music vibe here. As for the psychics that offer their services here, I am yet to be in their company.

Washington Square Park has such a relaxed vibe. It's a lovely place to sit by the fountain, enjoy the sunshine, and watch the mix of people passing by. Street performers add a nice touch without feeling overwhelming. The trees give plenty of shade, and the iconic arch makes the view special. Perfect spot to unwind and take a break from the city's rush.

Washington Square Park is one of the most iconic and lively places in New York City. Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, it’s full of energy, music, and life all day long. The famous Washington Arch creates a beautiful entrance and makes the park instantly recognizable. The fountain area is always buzzing with activity — people chatting, musicians performing, and students relaxing between classes. It’s the perfect spot to sit, listen to live music, or just enjoy watching the crowd. The atmosphere feels welcoming and creative, showing the real spirit of New York. You’ll often see chess players, artists sketching, and street performers adding charm to the park. It’s clean, fairly safe, and surrounded by great cafés where you can grab coffee or snacks. During evenings, lights around the fountain and arch make it even more beautiful. Whether you’re a tourist, a student, or a local, Washington Square Park never feels boring. Every visit brings a new vibe and something different to enjoy. It’s a must-visit destination that perfectly captures the culture, diversity, and energy of downtown Manhattan.
Dana E — Google review
I visited Washington Park and honestly, it wasn’t great for a family visit. The park is always packed with college students, and there’s a noticeable smell of urine and marijuana. I wouldn’t recommend going there with kids. It’s better suited for adults looking for a lively, college-town vibe rather than a family-friendly outing.
Loredana C — Google review
Whenever we visit NYC we try to spend some time in the funky, vibrant and colourful Washington Square Park, which is a 9.75-acre public park in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Lower Manhattan. It's a meeting place and center for cultural activity, dominated by the Washington Square Arch at the northern gateway to the park and the large fountain in front of it. The park has a tradition of celebrating nonconformity attracting many students from the surrounding NYU (New York University) and you could get high from just inhaling the smoke from all the cannabis joint being smoked without having to smoke one yourself 🤣 There was a diversity of people of all ages & nationalities enjoying the hot late summer sun in the park, playing chess, cooling off in the sunken seats next to the big fountain, together with vendors, artists and musicians - there was a slightly edgey feel within the park, but not in a bad nervous feeling way🤔
Hong L — Google review
Very unique place! Super interactive with various stalls and food truck. The fountain was beautiful. Great place to relax with food or coffee from nearby restaurants and cafes. Could be a little noisy and crowded but very pleasant overall.
Poorvajaa R — Google review
I always enjoy coming here but feels its changing and not for the better. Certain people ruin the experience behaving like idiots and unruly. Besides that its a chill park and you'll see all types of people from all different backgrounds. Which match the neighborhood. Since there are a couple of schools in the area you'll see plenty of college age people. Park has a fountain at its center which is also great for pictures park offers picnic areas, restrooms and playground. You'll find people panting like playing board games and much more. I've been coming here for years to chill and do some people watching. Today I was lucky to catch a free show of two bands performing.

The Brooklyn Heights Promenade is a picturesque tree-lined walkway that offers stunning views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, and the iconic Manhattan skyline. This hidden gem provides ample walking space and benches for visitors to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery. The promenade also features historic mansions on one side, adding to its charm. From this vantage point, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of Lower Manhattan, including the World Trade Center.
Incredible pedestrian walking path over the Brooklyn Bridge. Unbeatable views of the city. Bring some water with you on hot days. There are people in the bridge selling hats and other small souvenirs. We also saw a couple people who will take your photo and print it out or airdrop it to you for a small fee. We took advantage of this and got some cool pics for just $15. There’s some history of the bridge in the middle at one of the arches. There’s also an area where people have tied hair ties to this bridge as a safer alternative to the love locks. There’s also bridge is a little over a mile long so wear good walking shoes and have a great time! There is a slight incline at entrance and exit and then it’s pretty even once you reach the highest elevation.

One of the stunning places overlooking the East River offering panoramic views of NYC skyline, Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty. Visit in the evening to enjoy the view at sunset. This pedestrian walkway stretches from west end of Remsen street to the west end of Orange street with access points at Montague street and Pierrepoint place, Clark street and Pineapple street. There is a park for kids called Pierrepont playground for kids at the entrance of Pierrepoint place. The promenade has wheel-chair accessible entrances. It seems to be a favorite destination for walkers, joggers and for people to capture their special moments like engagements and weddings.

Incredible view from high ground overlooking Manhattan skyline, East River, Brooklyn Bridge, all the piers. The Brooklyn Heights Promenade, also called the Esplanade,[1] is a 1,826-foot (557 m)-long platform and pedestrian walkway cantilevered over the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (Interstate 278) in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, New York City, United States. With views of Lower Manhattan's skyline and the New York Harbor, it came about as the byproduct of competing proposals for the highway's route that were resolved in the midst of World War II. Actual construction came after the war. As a structure built over a roadway, the Promenade is owned by the NYCDOT and is not considered a park; however, NYC Parks maintains the entire Promenade. The Promenade runs from the west end of Remsen Street to the west end of Orange Street and can additionally be accessed from Montague Street and Pierrepont Place and the west ends of Pierrepont Street, Clark Street and Pineapple Street.

Bow Bridge, the oldest cast-iron bridge in Central Park and the second-oldest in the U.S., is a popular romantic spot with its picturesque design. It offers stunning views of colorful leaves in fall, cherry blossoms in spring, and row boats passing by below in summer. Despite being crowded on weekends, it's worth visiting for a romantic stroll or as a meeting place.
Bow Bridge is one of the most iconic landmarks in Central Park, often featured in movies and TV shows—and for good reason. Its elegant design and romantic setting have made it a popular spot for proposals, engagement shoots, and wedding photos (you’ll even see custom banners and photographers capturing the moment). While its fame may make it feel slightly less special in person to some, it still stands out as a highlight of any walk through the park. Whether framed by cherry blossoms in spring or vibrant foliage in fall, Bow Bridge offers a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline reflected on the water—an ideal spot for photos and a peaceful pause in the city. A must-visit for the romance, the views, and the timeless charm.

Iconic, romantic, and straight out of the movies! Bow Bridge is one of the most beautiful and romantic spots in Central Park. With stunning views over the lake, a graceful design, and peaceful surroundings, it feels like a dream—especially at sunrise or sunset. It’s also a favorite filming location and has featured in several Bollywood movies, making it a must-visit for fans! Whether you’re taking a scenic walk, capturing a photo, or just relaxing by the water, this place has timeless charm. Expect a bit of a crowd, but it’s totally worth it.

Iconic romantic spot with stunning city and park views Bow Bridge is a beautiful cast-iron bridge in Central Park, known for its elegant design and scenic surroundings. It offers amazing views of the lake, trees, and Manhattan skyline, making it a perfect spot for photography or a leisurely stroll. The bridge is easily accessible from nearby paths, but it can get crowded, especially during weekends or peak tourist hours. Its romantic ambiance and central location make it a must-see for visitors.

Oh, behold The Bow Bridge—an architectural marvel that bravely spans a dramatic twenty-foot gap over an offensively calm pond. Truly, it exists. With wood planks that mostly don’t wobble and railings that only slightly question your life choices, this stalwart structure performs its sole function: getting you from one side of a path to the other without drowning in two feet of water. Heroic. Inspirational. Absolutely adequate.

Grand Central Terminal is a historic train station in New York City that opened to the public in 1913. It features both rail and subway trains, with a main concourse considered an architectural masterpiece. The terminal's opulence and size reflect the industrial might of its era. Visitors can explore the Grand Central Terminal Gift Shop, known for its diverse souvenirs including themed collections, children's items, books, technology accessories, vintage memorabilia, jewelry, home decor, and maps.
Grand Central Station is truly one of New York City’s most breathtaking landmarks. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by the stunning celestial ceiling, the grand arches, and a timeless elegance that makes the hustle and bustle feel almost cinematic. It’s more than just a transit hub — it’s a piece of living history. The station is spotless, well-organized, and surprisingly easy to navigate despite the crowds. I loved standing at the main concourse, just taking in the energy of the city moving around me. The Whispering Gallery is a fun hidden gem, and the shops and dining options make it a perfect stop whether you’re catching a train or just exploring. A must-visit in NYC, even if you’re not traveling anywhere. 🚆✨

It was really cool to finally see Grand Central Station, the architecture is amazing and even outside you could see the Empire State Building. It was definitely crowded inside so I'd definitely go early if you don't wanna be moving in between too many people. Downstairs there's a decent food court should you need a drink, snack or bathroom break. It was a cool experience and I'd like to revisit someday and check out more of the area around it.

Grand Central is one of those places you just have to physically see to believe. It is truly a hub, seemingly connecting all of NYC together. You can even use the rail to leave the state abs travel to New Jersey and elsewhere. The terminal was very clean and a police presence felt safe. You can definitely get lost or become overwhelmed and anxious, but people see friendly and every entrance is well marked. I always enjoy it here.

Nice historical station ine the center of NY! While taking a break, I took the chance to keep reading my thriller Honesty Bar (found it on Amazon — available in both English and French). It’s a gripping story that’s great for the whole family ( no violence) taking me on a journey from Paris to Warsaw to the Seychelles. Absolutely loving it!
Stephane R — Google review
Grand Central Terminal is a truly beautiful and historic building. The architecture is stunning, and despite the huge number of people passing through every day, they do a good job keeping the place clean and well-maintained. The only downside is the bathrooms — they’re quite a mess and definitely not up to the same standard as the rest of the terminal
Bernardo M — Google review
When I first walked into Grand Central Terminal, I felt absolutely tiny. The sheer magnitude of the station is jaw-dropping, and it instantly makes you feel like you’ve stepped into something timeless and grand. The attention to detail in the design is stunning, from the constellation ceiling to the elegant stonework, every inch feels intentional and full of history. On top of all that beauty, the station is easy to navigate. Signs are clear, the layout makes sense, and it never feels as overwhelming as you’d expect for such a massive place. It’s not just a train station, it’s a masterpiece. The mix of movement, architecture, and atmosphere makes you want to slow down and take it all in. Definitely one of those places that makes you appreciate both the scale and the beauty of New York.
Nick S — Google review
The vibe, the fast pacing of the riders, the vendors, and the accessibility of the 4, 5 and 6 trains, make this underground subway station one of my favorites. The S train, takes me to Times Square within minutes. As I was walking through the station on Wednesday, I was mesmerized by the beautiful photos displayed throughout the station. I laughed and cried as I read people’s stories. “Dear New York,” a public art exhibition is currently in displayed in the terminal, and it truly celebrates diversity! I am so honored to be part of that exhibition as my niece submitted an artwork about me. I am forever and ever part of New York City!

Nice place for a family outing or a romantic walk with your other half. It's best for Spring time, end of March all of April when they have their flowers blooming. It's also good to go in the month of May when the Rose garden blooms as well. Visit the main entrance building for the Bonsai trees section and the three parts of plants that grow in there environment. Desert, Tropical and I can't remember the last one. Plus check out the orchids area and the Japanese pond. You can also purchase a yearly membership pass and enjoy this place year round if you wish too. Parking is difficult and food is expensive, not to mention; not much of a selection to choose from but you can find a few places to eat at by the entrance/exit by the Prospect Park side. You can also pack up your own sandwiches, snakes, fruits and drinks. Head back to the car, eat and save some money. You also have the Prospect Park zoo on that side if you wish to continue your day activities with family, friends or love one.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts is a renowned multi-venue complex located in New York City. It is home to several prestigious performing arts groups, including the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet, and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. The center offers a diverse range of performances, from ballet and opera to musicals and film screenings. With close to 30 indoor and outdoor venues, it hosts an array of cultural events throughout the year.
I went to a Summer for the City event at Lincoln Center and man, did I have a blast. The energy was amazing with nonstop dancing, great music, and good vibes all around. The crowd was full of friendly people just enjoying the moment. It felt like the heart of New York came alive right there. I’m definitely looking forward to more events in the future. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the city.

Beautiful location to go to a performance. I saw Don Giovanni at the Metropolitan Opera. The fountains in the plaza are gorgeous, and the entire Plaza is magical at night. The opera house has two huge Chagall paintings in the front entryway. The performance was wonderful. The set, the music, the orchestra, the singers were all superb. The lights and the entire layout of the Opera house are marvelous. Very much worth buying a ticket and going to a performance while in New York city. Opera seats range from $35 to many hundreds of dollars.

Last night’s performance at the New York City Ballet was nothing short of extraordinary. Misty Copeland brought a presence that completely transformed the stage — poised, luminous, and emotionally precise. Every movement felt both effortless and charged with intent; she doesn’t just dance, she tells a story through her body. The program itself was beautifully curated — balancing the athletic precision NYCB is known for with moments of quiet grace and modern sensitivity. The corps was sharp and unified, and the orchestra played with real warmth and energy. But it was Misty who stole the night. Watching her is like watching someone rewrite what classical ballet can be: grounded, human, yet still impossibly elegant. You could feel the entire audience leaning forward, collectively holding its breath. A powerful, inspiring evening — and a reminder of why live performance matters.

I’ve been there a few times. I’ve seen ballet and opera. I could not recommend it more. When you walk into the opera house it feels like you have been transported. With the winding stairs and the chandeliers making it feel extra special. In the main venue there are velvet seats and monitors in front of you that translate the opera. All over a great experience. I will definitely go back again

Attended Swan Lake at Lincoln Center from the balcony and it was absolutely breathtaking. Even from up high, the view was perfect and the performance felt deeply immersive. The dancers were mesmerizing, and the orchestra brought the story to life in the most powerful way. It was my first time seeing a full-length ballet, and I was genuinely amazed. The elegance, the emotion, the energy unforgettable. Lincoln Center knows how to create magic.

What an iconic and architecturally stunning performing art center in the up west of NYC. It is beautiful and cohesive designed. The seating is spacious and comfortable with excellent acoustics. It is well-maintained and hosts a variety of events offered year-round, including free summer outdoor performances and wellness workshops.

I had the chance to visit Lincoln Center during the Summer Festival, and it was a fantastic experience. Despite all the events being free, everything was impressively well-organized and professionally run. I haven’t had the chance to attend a jazz performance there yet, but I’ve heard it’s an amazing venue for that too — it’s definitely on my list for next time!
Nurdan K — Google review
I had the chance to visit Lincoln Center recently during their Summer for the City event, and it was absolutely incredible. The entire campus was full of energy — with live performances, dancing, music, and beautifully designed outdoor spaces filled with art installations and lights. The atmosphere was festive and welcoming, with people of all ages gathering to enjoy free and open-air cultural experiences. I didn’t even need a ticket to feel part of something special. Whether you were relaxing by the fountain, dancing with strangers under the disco ball, or just walking through the colorful outdoor setup, the whole evening felt like a celebration of what makes New York City so vibrant. Everything was organized so thoughtfully — friendly staff, clean surroundings, and a wide variety of performances happening all around. It was my first time attending Summer for the City, but it won’t be my last. If you're in NYC during the summer, do not miss this event at Lincoln Center. It’s one of those rare things that feels both grand and personal at the same time. A perfect way to experience the arts — and the city — at their very best.

The highlight of the park is its 25-foot waterfall, which provides a refreshing mist and effectively blocks out the city's bustling sounds. While small in size, the park offers movable tables and chairs as well as an outdoor cafe for visitors to enjoy.
Waterfall in the middle of Manhattan for the public. The waterfall is very loud at the bottom. Not ideal for conversation. Which can be a good thing if you're there to do some solo work and don't want to hear others talk. But the other seating areas are not as loud so it's a great place to meet up someone. If you want a seat, get there early or wait for someone to move because the seats are never empty for more than half a second. There's a little food place there as well near the entrance (menu attached). Beautiful hydrangea are meticulously placed throughout the area.

This spot feels like a secret escape in the middle of the urban hustle. The sound of the waterfall instantly washes away stress, and the lush greenery makes it hard to believe you’re surrounded by tall buildings. It’s beautifully maintained, peaceful, and perfect for a quiet moment or reflection. A true hidden gem worth visiting if you want a break from the city’s noise.

So peaceful. A little oasis of calm tucked away. We went on a ‘hidden gardens’ walk around Manhattan to find some nice little spots hidden around the buildings and concrete jungle. This was one of our favourite spots. Beautiful and very well maintained. Bring your lunch, or buy a snack/drink from the hole in the wall cafe. Take a seat and enjoy the ambiance for a short while.

Greenacre Park is a hidden gem in the heart of Midtown Manhattan — a peaceful oasis tucked between skyscrapers. The sound of the beautiful waterfall instantly drowns out the city noise, creating a calm, almost magical escape from the busy streets. It’s the perfect spot to sit with a coffee, read a book, or just take a quiet moment to breathe. The landscaping is beautifully maintained, with plenty of seating and shade. Even though it’s small, it feels incredibly special — a pocket of serenity in the middle of NYC’s nonstop energy. 🌿✨

What a magnificent find. This park is pretty… a little hidden oasis in the city. Imagine you’re on leisurely walk in the city and you hear the roaring of water. Oh my interest is so peaked,. So I continue walking to the sound of water and behold this beautiful waterfall right in the city. The lush greenery, the trees and the sound of the water makes for a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle in the concrete jungle. Stress be gone! Grab a snack at Carol’s Cafe or BYO snack, bring a book or just sit, breathe for a second and just take in the sounds. This park will bring you some peace even just for a moment. Merci beaucoup @greenacrepark
Nalex — Google review
On a muggy New York day when the city feels like it’s wrapped in a warm, damp towel, stumbling upon Greenacre Park is like finding a secret level in the game of urban survival. The soothing waterfall drowns out the street noise, and while we were definitely sweating (the humidity doesn’t spare anyone), there’s something oddly refreshing about sitting by cascading water in the middle of steel and concrete. The space is small but thoughtfully designed—lush greenery, shaded seating, and a kind of hush you rarely get in Midtown. It’s not air-conditioned, obviously, but the microclimate it creates is a balm. Come for a quiet coffee, reflective journaling moment, or just to briefly escape the sensory overload of Manhattan. Bring a fan if it’s summer—stay for the peace either way. There’s a small cafe(Carol’s Cafe) that offers refreshments.

I like to go there to work/study. It is super chill place and nice to look at the fountain. There is a roof over some tables. I go to the bathroom at the Hugh which is like 3 min away. No wifi here, so use your personal hotspot.

Louis Valentino, Jr. Park and Pier is a picturesque waterfront destination located in the Red Hook district of Brooklyn. It offers stunning views of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline, making it an ideal spot for capturing breathtaking sunset photographs. The park features a kayak boat launch and a pier where visitors can relax and take in the beautiful surroundings.
Great view of the Statue of Liberty! Good interpretive signage. I'm and, if you like Key Lime Pie, Steve's pie stand is nearby for a snack.

Mikeyy L — Google review
Charming Park with historical background. This place is magnificent during sunsets!! Highly recommend. Louis Valentino, Jr. Park and Pier is historically significant because the area once housed Fort Defiance, which played a crucial role in the Battle of Long Island during the American Revolution. This small but strong American fort fired on a British frigate, forcing it to return to the main fleet, thus keeping the crucial ferry route clear for General Washington's forces to retreat and escape across the East River after the main battle, enabling them to fight another day and ultimately secure American independence. Now surrounded by industrial, residential, and historic buildings, Valentino Pier was once the site of an active shipping industry. In the 1600s, the Red Hook district was settled by the Dutch. As the land became more developed and the population grew, the shipping industry began to take form. With the growth of the New York Harbor and accompanying changes on the waterfront, Red Hook became one of the nation’s premier shipping centers in the 19th century. This pier is a reminder of the shipping industry that once occupied the waters of the Buttermilk Channel and the Upper New York Harbor. This park was named in honor of firefighter and Parks lifeguard Louis J. Valentino, Jr. (1958 – 1996). Over the years, Valentino lived and studied in a number of Brooklyn neighborhoods, including Sacred Heart St. Stephens in Red Hook, Xaverian High School in Bay Ridge, and St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights. He then fulfilled his lifelong aspiration to become a firefighter, joining the New York City Fire Department in 1984. Valentino first served with Engine Company 281, where he battled fires for two years. He then moved on to Ladder Company 147, where he served until 1993, when he was accepted to the elite Rescue Company 2 in Crown Heights—joining the ranks of the city’s most experienced and versatile firefighters. Valentino was twice cited for his bravery, in 1987 and 1990. On February 5, 1996, Valentino lost his life while searching for wounded firefighters in a three-alarm blaze in an illegal Flatlands garage. Louis Valentino, Jr. Park and Pier preserves the memory of a man who demonstrated selfless devotion to fighting fires and saving lives. Louis Valentino, Jr. Park and Pier was originally built in 1996 by the City’s Economic Development Corporation before becoming a city park in 1999. From the pier can be seen the Statue of Liberty, Governor’s Island, Manhattan’s skyline, Staten Island, and the New York Harbor. Other parks and attractions nearby include Red Hook Recreation Area/Red Hook Pool, The Waterfront Museum and Showboat Barge, and Beard Street Pier.

Located in Brooklyn Bridge Park, Jane's Carousel is a beautifully restored 1922 carousel offering stunning views of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline. Adjacent to Almondine Bakery, visitors can indulge in a pain au chocolat before taking a spin on this vintage attraction. The surrounding area includes the historic neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, known for its tree-lined streets and impressive architecture.
Jane’s Carousel is a charming and nostalgic gem located in Brooklyn Bridge Park, right by the waterfront. The beautifully restored vintage carousel is not only a delight for kids but also for adults who want to relive a bit of childhood magic. The setting is absolutely stunning, with panoramic views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan skyline, and East River. Riding the carousel feels even more special with the glass pavilion that lets in natural light and frames the scenery perfectly. Even if you don’t hop on for a ride, it’s worth stopping by to admire the craftsmanship of the carousel and take in the relaxing atmosphere. It’s a must-visit spot if you’re in the area, and it’s especially magical during sunset.

Was surprised that it's technically indoors but had enough natural lighting so it was great for pictures. We didn't have to wait at all and they started the ride right away after we sat down even though there's only 2 of us lol. Tickets were $3 for 1 and you can keep them afterwards for a little souvenir too. Can't believe the carousel is 100 years old! The staff were friendly also

Jane’s Carousel is beautiful, but the experience was disappointing due to strict and inconsistent rule enforcement. We were told to wait twice for the next round - first because we were “late” by literally two seconds as my wife bought the tickets, even though others were allowed in about a minute later because they were part of a larger birthday group. The second time, we were told it was “full,” yet the carousel started with at least five empty seats. It takes away from what should be a simple, magical experience for families. Not sure I’s recommend

Why am I only finding out about this place now?!? Love love love this park. Went on a weekend and it was not too crowded, weather was beautiful and so was the scenery. We had a picnic in the park and it was great. Very clean and lots of attractions like the carousel, cotton candy and ice cream. Can’t wait to go back.

I visited Jane’s Carousel over the weekend and had such a great experience! It truly is a gem! The staff member (I wish I knew his name!) was very friendly and made me feel so welcome. His friendliness really added to my experience during my first-ever visit. I visited on a Sunday morning, and there wasn’t a wait at all to get on the carousel. The views from the carousel are amazing and definitely worth seeing! I recommend Jane’s Carousel and look forward to visiting again soon!

Tiffany & Co. is a renowned American luxury retailer celebrated for its exquisite jewelry, fine china, and silverware, as well as offering wedding registry services. A visit to their iconic store on 5th Avenue is like stepping into a scene from the classic film 'Breakfast at Tiffany's,' where Audrey Hepburn immortalized this gem of a place in the 1960s.
Had to pop into this shop. Staff was friendly. I was not rushed. However I did know what i was going for. I just walked in no need to book appointment. Bought myself a stunning bone bracelet black. A timeless pice, so elegant. Will go with most outfits. I'm from the UK. So need to consider the tax on top.
Julie D — Google review
I came here with great joy to choose a wedding ring, but ended up feeling irritated. The salesperson's attitude was very different: when she first heard we wanted to see the rings, she was very enthusiastic and let us try them on. But when we mentioned during the chat that we were not in a hurry to get married, her attitude immediately turned cold. When we wanted to try on a ring from another counter, she simply said, "You need to make an appointment to try this," and then ignored us. I had received very good service in another store of the same kind, where they let me try on every ring and patiently introduced everything to me. This kind of snobbish attitude of treating people differently is really disgusting. We immediately turned around and went to another store, and will never consider this store again.

Let me start off by a little back story. Originally from Florida, now live in Georgia. It has always been a dream of mine to visit New York, and buy piece of jewelry from Tiffany’s. I remember watching Breakfast at Tiffany’s with my grandmother. This past May I was finally able to make a dream, reality. I went to this store and purchased the necklace shown in the pictures. I didn’t wear it while I was in New York. When I got home my son and I had gotten Covid while we were there and were pretty sick for little over a week. When I finally started feeling better I was excited to wear my necklace. Upon taking it out of the box it came in I noticed it was already tarnished. After looking it over I noticed the scratch marks in it. I tried contacting the location a few times and could not get anyone to answer the phone. Once I was put on hold but no one came back on the line. So I contacted customer service and they tried trouble shooting the issue over the phone. Telling me that my skins ph level could make the silver to tarnish. I explained to them that I have never had an issue with silver in the past and also I have never worn the jewelry. I wanted to either replace it or get a refund. They told me that they will contact the store theirselves and they will contact me back. I still have not received a call or email regarding this issue. Now I’m stuck with a piece of jewelry that I will never wear. Also makes me sad that my “dream” that I’ve had for so long is a bust.

Went to treat myself to a pearl bracelet for my retirement. Bad experience from the moment I walked in. Doorman impatiently said "Just come in" when I reached for the automatic door. Not one person offered to help me. I finally walked up to a salesman to ask for pearls. He pointed and said, "Over there" without offering to help. He didn't even look up at me. It was a humiliating experience. I will get my pearls, but not at Tiffany's
Yvonne H — Google review
You can wait for the moment to choose your future engagement ring at Tiffany’s, but it may appear to be quite disappointing because of the attitude of the sales assistant. Unfortunately, I’m not sure anymore if I want to have the ring from Tiffany’s as the experience that goes with it also matters.
Alina V — Google review
Overall, great ambience and service as you’d expect from a luxury brand like Tiffany & Co. They accommodated me despite not securing an appointment ahead of time. Maybe it’s my expectation having shopped at other luxury stores here and abroad but a glass of champagne would’ve been nice. It’s not the champagne per se but the gesture. I guess I’m not VIP enough yet. Nonetheless, I got the items I wanted smoothly and efficiently thanks to Carmen and Alexandra.

The Statue of Liberty, a symbol of freedom and democracy, is an iconic national monument in New York City. Standing at 151 feet tall, it was a gift from France to the United States in 1886. Visitors can take guided tours and explore the museum on Liberty Island for stunning harbor and city views. Ferries run regularly from Battery Park and Liberty State Park for easy access.
We booked our visit through Statue City Cruises, the official and only authorized provider for trips to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island — and that’s important to know, as plenty of unofficial sellers will try to offer you “alternative” tickets. We had seen the Statue of Liberty from the water before — on a speedboat called The Beast back in 2018 — but this was our first time setting foot on Liberty Island. And what a difference that makes. The island is larger than we expected, with plenty of space to walk around, grab a snack, and take photos from every angle. We picked up the included audio guide, which offers three different tours, but ended up just exploring on our own. The view toward Manhattan is spectacular, and the statue itself is iconic — impressive both up close and from afar. We tried to get tickets for the crown, but those were sold out nearly two months in advance, so book early if that’s on your list. The museum visit at the end was fascinating, offering great context and artifacts. No wonder over four million people visit every year. A beautiful and memorable experience — absolutely worth the time and effort.

What an amazing.experience. I think it's best to admire it from the water, looking up at its base yiu.miss out on the magnitude of this historical mark. From wiki "The Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World; French: La Liberté éclairant le monde) is a colossal neoclassical sculpture of a robed and crowned female on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, within New York City. The copper-clad statue, a gift to the United States from the people of France, was designed by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and its metal framework was built by Gustave Eiffel. The statue was dedicated on October 28, 1886."
Von N — Google review
We had tickets to visit the crown. We purposely picked the very first time slot to beat crowds. Going through security and boarding the boat is organized chaos. The crown was a unique experience that I recommend. It's a lot of tight steps. The crown tix gives you access to the pedestal and original museum. Unfortunately the new museum which contains the original torch was so crowded we couldn't get close to the exhibits. We were glad to have the general overview/exhibits of the old museum. The ferry lines back weren't too bad since it was October. Can't imagine standing in the summer heat.
Pam B — Google review
An iconic landmark and a meaningful symbol of freedom and history. The ferry ride offers great views of New York Harbor, and you can take amazing photos from many angles. The museum provides interesting information about the statue’s construction and significance. It can be quite crowded, especially during peak seasons, so it’s best to book tickets in advance and arrive early. If you have time, visiting the crown or pedestal gives an even better experience with a unique perspective of the skyline. A must-visit destination when exploring New York City. Truly impressive!

Last visit to Statue of Liberty was over 12 years ago The site has changed & for the better! The main attraction, the statue itself is remarkable, it is bigger than you think, & leaves you with a profound feeling of personal responsibility. It's beautiful to look at! Since my last visit a museum has been added, this is a welcome addition, it details the history of how the statute came to be, gives you up close look at the feet & face & shows the sheet magnitude of the statute. There are lemonade stands, a great gift shop & restaurant & plenty of space to just sit & take in the sights. Well worth a trip if in NY.
Michelle Y — Google review
Access and parking from the New Jersey side were convenient. Even on a Saturday, there were no crowds or long lines. Purchasing tickets online in advance is recommended—as I did for three people—since it allows you to simply show the QR code on your phone at the security checkpoints for quick entry. All security and staff personnel, on both land and boats, are kind and helpful. Tickets are very affordable. Overall a great and hassle free experience, get your family and friends and visit these historic and cultural landmarks. Totally worth it!
Jimi U — Google review
Best experience in NYC. We took the Ferry ride from Liberty Park New Jersey and it was convenient as there was ample parking even in weekends. I would recommend entire experience like going up to the pedestal and crown would be great. But the best view of the statue is from the ferry itself when they pull over to the island. Enjoy!

Strawberry Fields is a serene and shaded area in Central Park that serves as a tribute to the legendary Beatles member, John Lennon. Named after one of his iconic songs, 'Strawberry Fields Forever,' this tear-shaped garden was designed by Yoko Ono, Lennon's widow. It is classified as a Quiet Zone for meditation and features a black-and-white tiled mosaic at its center spelling out 'Imagine,' the title of one of Lennon's best-selling singles.
Strawberry Fields, located in Central Park near West 72nd Street, is a serene and symbolic tribute to John Lennon, the legendary member of The Beatles. Dedicated in 1985 on what would have been Lennon’s 45th birthday, the memorial occupies a quiet, reflective area of the park directly across from the Dakota building, where Lennon lived and was tragically killed in 1980. Its centerpiece is the iconic “Imagine” mosaic, a circular black-and-white design that draws visitors from around the world to pause, reflect, and pay homage to Lennon’s life and message of peace.

An interesting museum closer to American roots, where you can better feel the past and the trauma linked to tragic periods of racial discrimination. The museum was huge, and while taking a break, I took the chance to keep reading my thriller Honesty Bar (found it on Amazon — available in both English and French). It’s a gripping story that’s great for the whole family, taking me on a journey from Paris to Warsaw to the Seychelles. Absolutely loving it!

The Monet & Venice exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum is beautifully done. It captures the elegance of Monet’s late work, where Venice becomes less a city and more a study of light, reflection, and atmosphere. The galleries are curated with restraint and care, letting the paintings speak for themselves. The colors shift softly from rose to violet to gold, each canvas dissolving a little more into air. It’s a show that reminds you how powerful subtlety can be, and how an artist near the end of his life could still find new ways to see. Thoughtful, balanced, and deeply serene - one of the museum’s strongest exhibitions in years.

First time visiting after living in Brooklyn for 6 years. I love the exhibition design, it feels different from other major museums like the Met or MoMA. The rooms are spacious, and I love that the arts emit the sense humanity and community. The ticket is pay-what-you-want in person, so if you don’t feel like paying for full price, remember to go to the reception to get tickets.

I am personally been a big fan of the Brooklyn Museum for many years. I believe they do a good job of making wonderfully curated exhibits and uses their space wisely. It's a very easy museum to get around and see all the art in a good amount of time. The architecture itself is wonderful and I'm not surprised that weddings happen here. Will say if you ever get the opportunity to have tea with the director, that it's a pleasure. To top it off the staff is always well mannered and helpful. So far my favorite summer exhibits pair was 2019, truly something special, with both their amazing Frida exhibit and their one on queer pride, 6 years later & I'm still thinking about it. Plus the one they did on waste in 2023, with the recycled materials used to make art. Will also note that because of the Brooklyn Museum, I can tell a Georgia O'Keefe piece from a mile away.

Amazing place that gets it right: really inclusive, really addressing current debates and dilemmas in art, adopting a really reflective attitude The actual art is fantastic: contemporary, colourful, interesting, provocative…. And the cafe has brilliant coffee. Only suggestion: please enrich the shop with many many souvenirs and interesting reflections of the art. I’d looove to have something to remind me of my day in this museum Do.not.miss.

The Brooklyn Museum is such a gem! The Judy Chicago exhibit is absolutely fantastic — powerful, thoughtful, and beautifully curated. It’s inspiring to see her work presented in such a dynamic and accessible way. On the first floor, there’s also an ocean-themed exhibit that’s perfect for kids. They can color fish and sea creatures as part of an interactive art space, which makes the whole museum visit even more family-friendly. Overall, it’s a great mix of world-class art and hands-on experiences. Whether you’re going solo to soak in the exhibits or bringing little ones along, the Brooklyn Museum is well worth the visit.

Have always been a fan of Monet's artwork and noticed the Brooklyn museum had an exhibition of his Venice pieces. First time going to this museum and thought it was free entrance but it's around $30 to see the exhibit. Overall it was pretty nice and straight forward. Monet's artwork is much nicer to see in person, definitely worth swinging by and checking it out while it's available.

Located in one of the most romantic parts of the city, One if by Land is known for its elegant setting and delicious tasting menus. This upscale American restaurant is also popular for proposals, with tables near the fireplaces in the Constitution Room or near the French windows that overlook the garden being particularly popular.
My husband celebrated my birthday at One if by Land, Two if by Sea, and it felt like discovering a secret tucked away in the heart of New York. The location itself is so mysterious — hidden down a quiet cobblestone street, behind a beautiful old facade that feels like a portal to another world. Inside, the candlelight, soft piano music, and garden views created a setting that was intimate, elegant, and absolutely timeless. We were seated at the perfect corner table near the piano bar. To my left, a beautiful garden view framed the evening with even more charm. It felt so private and romantic — as if the city had disappeared for a night, just for us. The food was exquisite. Every dish was gorgeous and full of flavor. The Beef Wellington was divine — truly one of the best we’ve ever had. And the champagne? Effortlessly luxurious and so celebratory. The service was flawless, warm, and genuinely thoughtful. They made my birthday feel incredibly special, with every detail handled with care. A magical evening in a place that feels hidden, timeless, and full of love. Truly one of the most romantic dining experiences in the city — or anywhere🤍🤍🤍

One if by Land, Two if by Sea has a classy menu, a great history, and beautiful decor that makes it very romantic. I took my girlfriend there for our 3 year anniversary. The restaurant was gorgeous and the decor was perfect for those special photos. The dim lighting created a perfeambiance. The food was incredible. The food wine room upstairs is extraordinary. The only minor issue I encountered was with how small the menu was, at best you will feel satisfied after eating meal. I didn’t care because the food I ate was delightful.” The dessert was special. This is definitely a place you will want to experience.

If I could give 10 stars I would happily do so. The restaurant it’s top notch. They have a beautiful bar area with seating for dining if you like. The restaurant lighting is perfect to set a romantic mood with a pianist playing entertaining music. We are from their price fixe menu and it was an excellent meal. For starters we had the Foie Gras and the tempura squash blossom. The tempura squash blossom was stuffed with lobster and crab meat. It was so good. For our entrees I had the beef Wellington and my girlfriend had the duck. Both were cooked perfectly and the playing was perfect. An excellent meal. To end our dinner the dessert course cosiste of cremé brûlée, and tiramisu. The tiramisu was served in a way I have never had it before. It was covered by a chocolate top and the filling was so velvety smooth. So Good!!! The waiter was excellent, offering suggestions and well versed with the menu. They took care of all our dining needs. We highly recommend this place.

My husband and I went back for our anniversary. We had one of our first dates here 30+ years ago. Food, service and atmosphere still terrific! We had the chef’s menu which was a perfect tasting of their best dishes. You cannot eat here without having the beef Wellington!

The food was excellent and the live pianist was incredible and added so much to the atmosphere. Our waitress, Sasha, was a total sweetheart and she made us feel so welcomed and answered all our questions and even provided us with some recommendations for wine pairings! I’d highly recommend coming here for a nice romantic date night.

We celebrated our anniversary here and I'm so glad we did! This restaurant is super romantic and is a perfect location to celebrate a special occasion. We enjoyed both the service, as well as the food and drinks! The have beautiful roses and candles set at every table - really helps with the romantic mood. Price-wise it was also not over the top expensive, and in my opinion quite worth the experience. For reservation, make sure to book at least a month in advance and request to sit by the windows if possible. Do mention what special occasion you are celebrating! Food wise - I especially liked the Beef Wellington - the beef on the inside was tender while the outside crust was flaky to create that contrast texture. The mushrooms in between was super flavorful and created a really nice in-between layer. I honestly thought it tasted better than the Beef Wellington I had in Gordon Ramsey's Atlantic City steakhouse. My second favorite was the seared foie gras - super tender and given it was served warm, takes away the stickiness in the texture and adds aroma. The Seared Maine Scallops were also pretty good, although pretty typical, and the Lobster risotto was a tad too sticky. For dessert - I loved loved the Raspberry Napoleon!! It was many layers to the right flaky texture, and fruity and sweet to perfection. The chocolate mousse was also very good, just nothing too out of the world for chocolate lovers. Drink wise - We ordered a cabernet sauvignon to to add to the celebration atmosphere, and it also went well with the food. Overall I triple recommend this place for celebrating anniversaries and birthdays, will try to bring my parents here for a future night!

Stunning feature situated within central park. Beautiful architecture. Worth a visit if you are in the park. Also a great place to get some shade. We loved it ❤️

Architectural beauty with vibrant atmosphere Bethesda Terrace & Fountain is a central highlight of Central Park, featuring intricate tilework on the ceiling of the arcade and the iconic angel statue at the fountain. The terrace often hosts live performances, adding to the lively and charming atmosphere. The location provides great views of the lake and surrounding paths and is perfect for photos or simply enjoying the artistic and historic details. It can get crowded during peak times, but the space is large enough to soak in the ambiance.

Very impressive and beautiful to visit. Always but busy. Some movies and TV shows are filmed there. Occasionally you'll see and hear music played or opera singers inside the arches. Surprisingly neat restrooms. And statue and fountain are amazing

An iconic and picturesque highlight of Central Park! There are so many elements that make this area beautiful. In addition to it being a peaceful nature spot, it’s also a great place to get your photos taken; I saw multiple engagements and a wedding during my visit! Fairly quiet in the early morning but gets busy later on.

Iconic piece of New York scenery. I was here in the middle of July in 2024 and the atmosphere around the terrace was great, people playing live music, a nice amount of people that didn’t feel overcrowded. The archways and the fountain were both nice to look at and people were out on the lake on small boats.

Bethesda Terrace is one of Central Park’s most picturesque and recognizable landmarks. The fountain is elegant and peaceful, perfectly framed by its scenic location near the lake. The grand staircase and the beautiful arcade beneath the terrace add a touch of timeless charm. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this is a spot that captures the magic of Central Park and is well worth a stop.
Madhusudhan S — Google review
When I think back to my visit to Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, I can still feel the energy of that moment. The place itself is beautiful—the grand staircases, the arches, the carvings, and of course, the fountain standing gracefully at the center. But what stayed with me wasn’t just how it looked, it was how it *felt*. As I walked down into the terrace, I suddenly heard music. A man was playing a big violin, and other instruments joined in. The sound filled the arches, echoing in a way that made the whole space come alive. It stopped me in my tracks. For a moment, I forgot I was in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the world. I just stood there, completely drawn in by the music. People all around me slowed down too. Strangers who had been rushing suddenly gathered, leaning on the railings, sitting on the steps, quietly listening. I looked around and saw the same expression on so many faces peaceful, emotional, almost mesmerized. It was as if the music had created a little pause button in the middle of New York’s chaos. What touched me most was how emotional it felt. The music wasn’t just background sound; it seemed to speak to something deeper. It made me reflect, made me smile, and even brought a lump to my throat. I don’t remember the exact tune, but I remember the feeling it left behind; like I was part of something bigger, even if just for a few minutes. Bethesda Terrace is stunning in itself, but with that music, it became unforgettable for me. It wasn’t about ticking off a landmark on my list, it was about an experience; one that was alive, raw, and shared with complete strangers who felt the same magic in that moment.

Madison Square Park is a serene green space in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, offering a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Visitors can enjoy sculptures, a dog run, and stunning views of the iconic Flatiron Building. The park hosts various events throughout the year, including culinary pop-ups and live music performances as part of The Studio Series. Nearby, there is a thriving restaurant scene with plenty of dining options to explore.
This is probably my favorite smaller but still impressive mid city parks. I walked over from my hotel in the early part of the day and immediately went from smelling the city streets to the scent of freshly cut grass. There's constantly live music and it's just perfectly big enough to feel like you're out of the city, and I absolutely love the large trees Throughout. Definitely worth stopping by

Our Favorite Park in Manhattan! Madison Square Park is truly our favorite park in the city. We love walking there — it’s always a peaceful, beautiful escape right in the heart of Manhattan. We enjoy it so much that we even decided to start making monthly donations to support the park’s foundation. It’s always a pleasure to stroll through, whether it’s spring blossoms, summer shade, or crisp autumn air. And during the holidays, watching the Christmas tree lighting there feels absolutely magical — such a warm and festive atmosphere. A gem of New York!

Very nice park. Lots of trees and people. There is a fountain ⛲️. There is also a dog run park. Lots of people on the grass either sunbathing, picnics or just doing their own thing. Lots of benches to sit. There is also a statue. Great place to just sit and take a break from shopping or the busy area.
Connie — Google review
Madison Square Park is a true gem. It’s arguably the third-best park in NYC and easily makes the top five on most New Yorkers’ lists. The park shines especially in summer: you’ll often hear live music of surprisingly high caliber, see tired New Yorkers recharging on the lawn, or people enjoying a sunny afternoon suntan. There’s also a beautiful dog park, plus the famous burger restaurant right inside the park. With Eataly just across the street, it’s easy to grab a bite or espresso and enjoy it on a park bench. Surrounded by landmark buildings and feeling relatively safe even in the evenings, Madison Square Park is simply beautiful all around

I love it here! This was one of my parks on my list and finally got to go here! Compared to Central Park this is a lot smaller. Loved this park. Saw some great things. There's also was a pop up concert kind of thing on 10/16 when I went. Check it out, posted a couple videos

Madison Square Park is a lovely little escape in the city—you can walk through it in about 10–15 minutes, and it’s full of shady spots where locals hang out. We even fed the birds with a bit of bread and suddenly they all gathered around, which made it feel extra alive. Between the birds, dogs, and music in the summer, it’s a cozy slice of nature surrounded by beautiful Manhattan buildings.
Angel T — Google review
We arrived a bit early for a lunch meet up at the ilili NoMad Lebanese restaurant near the Flat Iron building so we took the opportunity to explore Madison Square Park just in front of it. It was our first visit to this 6.2 acre public park in the Flat Iron district in Central Manhattan and we liked it. There's plenty of seating all around the park with a lot of office workers sitting in the sunshine eating their lunches when we visited. It's a popular park for walking dogs with two enclosed dog run areas, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. There's a childrens playground at one end of the park and workers were putting up some art installations when we were there. Many beautiful large mature trees provided plenty of shade from the hot sun and we saw many groups having picnics and sunbathing on the large grassed areas. There was also a large paved area with chairs for people to sit & relax in. I didn't see any public restrooms in the park. This park is very similar to our favourite Bryant Park near Time Square providing a little oasis of calm and tranquility to escape from the maddening hustle & bustle of the Big Apple outside.

Walking here was definitely the right choice! Madison Square Park is perfect for anyone who wants a relaxing stroll, sip a good cup of coffee, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The trees, city views, and calm atmosphere make it a great spot to unwind, especially on a sunny day. I highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a peaceful break or just some quiet time with their coffee while enjoying the fresh air and scenery.

Gantry Plaza State Park is a 12-acre park located on four piers along the East River in Queens, New York. The park offers stunning views of Manhattan and features restored gantries. The neighborhood surrounding the park has undergone significant transformation, attracting artists and executives with its easy commute to midtown, abundant warehouse space, and low rents. Visitors can also explore nearby cultural hubs such as MoMA PS1 and the Chocolate Factory.
Beautiful park right on the water, with great views of the skyline. A perfect place for photography. There are plenty of people enjoying the space but it didn't feel crowded. Highly recommend watching the sunset across the city from here.

A fantastic urban oasis, easily accessible by public transport and walking - we come from Astoria, Queens by taking the N train to Queensboro plaza then walking the rest of the way through lovely Long Island City that has undergone amazing improvements for the better in the last 3 decades. There’s so much to do here in the park. You can sit down to look at the river and the stunning views across the water, go for a walk along the winding paths, watch people play beach volleyball or kids running around, laugh at the many dogs having a field day, take a ferry or have a picnic… the choice of having a beautifully peaceful time is yours!

This park is incredibly peaceful and offers plenty of things to do. There’s a playground for kids, a dog park, and sand volleyball courts—perfect for playing year-round, though especially fun in the summer. It’s also a very popular route for runners, and I can see why—it’s spacious, clean, and relaxing. From my point of view, it has some of the best views of the Manhattan skyline. The sunsets here are absolutely stunning and worth staying for. A perfect place to unwind, exercise, or just enjoy the scenery.

Much of the crowd is by northern end. The bottom half of the park is largely empty, but still fairly nice. The pathways and park is very well maintained with many exploring the riverside scenery. The view from the Hunter point library is quite spectacular.

The park is on the river bank, and you have the skyline of New York City in front of you. You can appreciate some history of the city when seeing the heavy unloading machinery on the edge of the bank. Food festival is another attraction. Very nice casual place inside a busy, crowded urban city.

Belvedere Castle, a stunning Gothic and Romanesque structure built in 1872, is situated on Vista Rock, the second highest point in Central Park. Its name, meaning 'beautiful view' in Italian, perfectly captures the breathtaking vistas it offers of the Great Lawn, lush woodlands of Central Park, and parts of the Manhattan skyline.
6 Sep 25- Visited during our trip to Central Park. This castle holds information centre and souvenir shop for the Central Park. It is a historical structure where multiple renovations have been done over the years. They also have a cut fresh fruit stall near the castle. Enjoyed some rest time here after our visit to some other parts of the central park

A nice sight and stopping point during a walk through Central Park. The castle has a narrow spiral staircase up to an observation deck (through the gift shop). There are two other verandas that overlook Turtle Pond (aptly named). There are also tours available. We probably spent 30 minutes here in total. You can get great views of the castle from the north side of the pond.

This place has a unique charm and is worth a visit, but keep in mind that the staircase is very narrow and shared for going up and down. It adds to the character of the spot, but it can feel a bit tight when there are many people. Overall, the atmosphere and experience make it a memorable stop.

I was on a long walk around Central Park and passed by the Delacorte while looking for the Belvedere Castle. It is a rather large structure on a rock hill with a fantastic view of a lake and the park. Very busy area with lots of people taking pictures and going inside the building to get info. A great spot up high.

For the best views of Central Park, this is the easiest way to get there. While there are no restrooms on-site, friendly guides will be happy to direct you to the nearest facilities. They also have merchandise available, such as tote bags, and the views are truly breathtaking.

This is worth the climb up to take in the views. Plenty of different paths to get up with either steps or ramps but either way, it’s a small trek. There are great views that are accessible but if you’re able and willing, go inside and head up the narrow staircase to the top!

What’s not to love about a castle in Central Park? We made sure we stopped by on our Central Park pedal cab tour and loved climbing up the heights to go to the top tower! Adjacent to Cornell Tech campus, it provides a serene and quiet escape from the city's hustle and bustle.
The Four Freedoms Park, located at the southern tip of Roosevelt Island, is a beautifully designed space dedicated to honoring former President Franklin D. Roosevelt. A peaceful, powerful tribute tucked at the southern tip of Roosevelt Island. Four Freedoms Park honors President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s iconic 1941 speech, which outlined four essential human freedoms: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear. Standing there, with the city rising behind you and the East River at your sides, you feel the weight and beauty of those words. The park itself is stunning in its simplicity—granite, symmetry, trees, and sky. Designed by architect Louis Kahn, it’s both modern and timeless. There’s a quiet reverence in the space, and it’s ideal for reflection, reading, or just soaking in the skyline views. It’s an easy, scenic walk from the Roosevelt Island Tram, past the ruins of the Smallpox Hospital, and leads to this open, inspiring space. A must-visit for history lovers, architecture admirers, or anyone seeking a quiet pause in the middle of the city.

Socrates Sculpture Park, located in Queens' Astoria neighborhood, was established in 1986 by sculptor Mark di Suvero. This outdoor waterfront gallery spans nearly 60 acres and provides a platform for artists of all levels to showcase their work. Many of the displayed works are created on-site, allowing visitors to engage with local artists and witness the artistic process firsthand. The park, built on a former landfill site along the East River bank, offers large-scale sculptures and multimedia installations.
This was such a peaceful park. The views here was amazing. A lot of people lying down and it’s very quiet. Perfect place for babies and dogs. My 2 year old is almost never calm and he had such a great time here. James the security guard was also amazing. He was really kind in getting people out of the park safely and on time without making it feel like he was kicking you out. I will definitely be coming back. 100% recommend for artist looking for a quiet spot to strike inspiration.
Kiki H — Google review
Socrates Sculpture Park is an outdoor museum and public park where artists can create and exhibit sculptures and multi-media installations. It is located one block from the Noguchi Museum at the intersection of Broadway and Vernon Boulevard in the neighborhood of Astoria, Queens, New York City. In addition to exhibition space, the park offers an arts education program, artist residency program, and job training. Socrates Sculpture Park is located atop the mouth of the buried Sunswick Creek.  In 1986, American sculptor Mark di Suvero created Socrates Sculpture Park on an abandoned landfill and illegal dumpsite in Long Island City. The four-acre (1.6 ha) site is the largest outdoor space in New York City dedicated to exhibiting sculpture. The former landfill was renovated into the current park by a team of contemporary artists and local youths. The park operated for 14 years with only a temporary city park status. In 1998, the park was given official status by then New York City mayor Rudolph Giuliani as a permanent city park after a developer attempted to erect luxury apartments and a marina on the site after the park's lease had expired. In 2005, the park was among 406 New York City arts and social service institutions to receive part of a $20 million grant from the Carnegie Corporation, which was made possible through a donation by New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg. At the Socrates Sculpture Park's main entrance hangs a 10-by-28-foot (3.0 by 8.5 m) billboard structure that has been an ongoing installation since 1999. The original billboard was a mirror image of the street created by artist Mathieu Borysevicz built by ongoing volunteer Ross H. Radtke, a mechanical engineer and neighbour. New billboards are installed once or twice per year. Artists work with printmaking and photography to create an image that greets visitors as they enter the park and sets the tone for the current show. The billboards are in conjunction with each spring exhibition. The park has numerous workshops and public programming. Many artists lead tour programs of current exhibitions, there are summer art projects, and various free public events, such as yoga and capoeira on Saturdays and outdoor movie screenings on Wednesdays that begin in mid-July and end in mid-August. GrowNYC runs an Astoria Farmer's Market in the park every Saturday during the summer months. In January 2019, the Park announced its plan to construct and install permanent staff offices made out of shipping containers. This would be the park's first permanent on-site structure.
Buster I — Google review
Checked this space out and was left desiring more. Got to see a couple pieces and the office building so not much currently on view. The coolest thing I learned from a staff member maintaining the site was about the founder and initial creator Mark di Suvero who built the massive i-beam sculptures as a paraplegic. Pretty impressive!

So, it’s a sculpture garden with just three crumbling sculptures on one edge. I dunno why I expected there to be sculptures. Maybe it was the name that threw me off. It really should be called Socrates Decent Garden with a Decent View of Manhattan. Then I wouldn’t have walked over to see sculptures. I do understand they sometimes have displays. Just not on the day I went. I wouldn’t put this on the Top 100 Things to Do in LIC.

Hands down the best park in New York. The vibe is always amazing with friendly people, sweet dogs, and plenty of spots to relax and connect with nature. You'll have access to plenty of benches and yes your 4 legged best friend is welcome. I drove here however I'm the day I visited which was a Saturday in early October parking wasn't difficult. Overall its a nice park to visit, people are minding their own business enjoying the day.

What a peaceful place! I discovered this park right after the NYC Marathon, and it was such a great surprise. During fall, it’s absolutely stunning — the colors, the atmosphere, everything! You can enjoy plenty of activities or simply relax outdoors. I definitely recommend visiting to unwind and recharge, whether on a weekend or during the week.

I’ve always loved Fort Greene Park for its peaceful green spaces, community vibe, and rich history—but this summer it’s been next-level thanks to the Paramount+ and Brooklyn Magazine Movie Nights! The event is completely free (yes, really!) and they treat you like VIP. After registering online, you get free popcorn, complimentary drinks, and—wait for it—a free branded lawn chair courtesy of Paramount+ that you can take home after the movie ends! 🍿🪑🥤 It’s such a thoughtful touch and makes the whole evening feel really special. The setup is smooth, the crowd is friendly, and there’s a real sense of local pride. I’ve been to a few of these nights now, and each time I walk away feeling grateful to live in a city that offers experiences like this. It’s perfect for a date night, a hang with friends, or a chill solo evening under the stars. 🎥 Pro tip: Arrive a little early to grab the best lawn spot and snacks before the film begins!

Fun in the park!! Be ready to climb. This park has a lot of hills. I saw a movie in the park and it was so much fun. I’m not sure if it was just this movie but we got there early and we got free beach style chairs curtesy of Paramount pictures. The staff that were there were super friendly. Made a huge difference in enjoyment. It’s small but spacious hard to get lost.

We went for a walk here with my daughter”s mini bull terrier, it was a great place to walk, both for people and pets, who can run and play off leash on certain times. it was quite educational for me, i learned that the spanish king put up a monument to honor the soldiers that fought for brooklyn.

Coney Island Beach & Boardwalk is a renowned tourist spot in NYC, boasting an amusement park, beach, and delectable food all in one place. Situated in the southernmost part of Brooklyn, it offers a three-mile beach and boardwalk with historic attractions. Visitors can enjoy sunbathing while relishing hot dogs from the original Nathans Famous or exploring nearby Luna Park and the New York Aquarium.
I love this place! I did not have a chance to try any ride but i still had a fun and enjoyable time there! I stayed there from the afternoon to late at night. The available restrooms till night makes it available for a longer stay!

Coney island is a MUST visit for any au pair (and tourist, and honestly locals should give it a go as well). So many rides, great food and it's not very expensive. Remember that you'll get wet during the water rides (I assured my friend it looked like everyone stayed dry and boy was I wrong 🤣)

Coney Island is a must-see stop to include among New York’s attractions. Easy to reach by subway, first with the express and then the local line, it welcomes you with a truly unique atmosphere. Walking along the boardwalk brings back memories of so many movies filmed here and gives a feeling of nostalgia and magic. The amusement park, one of the oldest in the world, still has incredible charm: even if a bit rundown, it has an authentic soul that makes the experience unforgettable. Definitely worth a visit!

Fun free fireworks summer Fridays until Labor Day. Bring a blanket, listen to the waves, and have a pre-fireworks picnic. Then, watch the awesome fireworks right on the beach. Perfect summer night activity for the whole family!

cool to finally see this place. beach is freezing, overcrowded, dirty, and a bit boring with like zero parking. the amusement park looks cool but pricy. food has lots of offerings and lots of cool vendors around as well as artists and performers. worth a stop on your tourism bucket list.

Beautiful beach, nice sand, a little chilly. I would return and recommend that others visit. It's probably best in the middle of the summer. I went during late September.

Broadway, a 32-mile street running through Manhattan and other boroughs, is renowned for its Midtown theater district. It offers a vibrant night out in Times Square with a diverse range of world-famous shows like The Lion King, The Phantom of the Opera, Aladdin, and more. Visitors can also find discounted tickets at the TKTS booth on the red stairs in Times Square.
Needless to say, the most wonderful place in the world. If I were asked to choose one of the most wonderful travel destinations, I would choose this one.

I like Broadway shows n the street itself, but I do avoid Times Square, Broadway is 13 miles much more to see. It also goes onto China Town

Walking through the streets is both beautiful and invigorating! Visiting Manhattan to see a show on Broadway is a classic experience, and you should definitely try it! You won't be disappointed by the sites and the show!

I love the overall positive vibes of Broadway and Times Square – it’s pretty lively, and it has a lot of energy 4 stars instead of 5 only because it’s way too crowded, and there are other less crowded things to do / places to visit that might be more worth it

Shore Road Park, situated on the western coast of Brooklyn, offers stunning views of the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and even the Statue of Liberty. It's a great spot for a private outdoor proposal. The park hosts various events like concerts featuring local bands and FDNY demonstrations. The park features a well-maintained, handicap-accessible walking path with occasional restroom facilities.
Yet one more huge, beautiful, accessible ♿️ Brooklyn park. Situated just next to the Fourth Avenue entrance to the Belt Parkway and extending north, it is huge, clean, and gorgeous. It descends, so be prepared for a long haul back to the street. Tennis courts, baseball fields, handball courts, dog park, bathrooms and picnic areas all included. Plus a spectacular view of the Verrazano, the Belt Parkway and the Narrows.
PhilYouIn — Google review
Brooklyn’s best-kept secret. A true treasure unlike anything else in New York City. With miles of shoreline, lush trees, and winding, paths, Shore Road Park offers a peaceful escape that feels far removed from the urban rush. Multiple trails and open fields give it a nature-like atmosphere — you’ll often forget you’re still in NYC.
Mitch R — Google review
I wasn't there for long, I mainly passed by it but while walking it seemed very pleasant. There was a ton of space and nice trees, and everyone around seemed to be having a great time no matter what they were doing.

Micale — Google review
A seaside park that has multiple ball fields and jogging tracks. There are also a number of trails that lead around the shore and offer excellent views of the Verrazzano Narrows bridge. There is ample parking in a small lot that directly pulls off the I-287 highway leading onto the bridge itself.

My oh my how Bay Ridge has changed in the matter of 10 years (last time I visited). The Shore Road Park is very clean and green and the new sidewalks leading down into the park are handicapped accessible which is very nice. It seems there are plans to construct either event spaces or concessions which would be nice to spend a day in the park and not have to haul in food and beverages. Very close to convenience stores and take out restaurants.
Colin W — Google review
Went to see Bay Ridge's own Irish band the Canny Brothers. The concert was postponed by rain and went on August 25. As usual a large contingent of followers attended. Hudson Valley, Rockaway, Breezy Point, Staten Island as well as Bay Ridge residents were well represented. The FDNY had one of its fire boats off the park spraying water high into the air. The Bay Ridge pipe and drums were also on hand to open the concert. They have t shirts for sale all to help fund the Bay Ridge St. Patrick Day parade. NIA has again sponsored summer series of concerts every Tuesday. Great bands. Beautiful sunsets over Staten Island.

The Vale of Cashmere, also known as the Vale of Kashmir, is a tranquil and secluded area located in the northeast corner of Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York. This picturesque spot was named after a Thomas Moore poem and was originally designed as a children's play area and formal garden. Over time, it has transformed into an enchanting woodland with shaded paths surrounding a tree-fringed pond.
Unbelievable little enclave of the enormous prospect park. While it could use restoration for the pond/wildlife the natural beauty of this area is still prominent and birds frequent the space singing their songs for anybody who chooses to stop and relax on one of the benches
Jay M — Google review
Probably my favorite little nook of prospect park. Needs some TLC, but the dilapidation is almost kind of charming at this point. Worth a visit if you’re in the park. Feels secret and special. Lots of birds and chipmunks!
Sara — Google review
Beautiful area. No bathroom in sight. I saw a lady let her small children urinate in bushes 4 ft from where I was sitting
Carmen S — Google review
Stumbled upon this corner of the park accidentally while riding my bike. There’s only one way in/out without stairs, so if you are relying on wheels of any kind be advised. This is a quiet, secluded spot with a pretty dreamy atmosphere, at least in late summer when everything is green and lush. There is what probably used to be a water feature in the center, surrounded by a paved walk with seats/benches spaced periodically around the outside. It feels a little like someplace out of a fairytale, probably because it’s named “Vale of Cashmere,” and probably also because it’s paved in brick.
Casey R — Google review
Despite the many years I have lived in Brooklyn and gone to Prospect Park, I always find some trail or area I never entered. Just beautiful.

Got a chance to do a 3hr fall foliage boat tour. Got the ticket from groupon its a good experience. Big boat, spacious, had a bar when you can buy food and drinks and small dining area to sit while eating and drinking Boat has 2 floors..
C S — Google review
It all started with purchasing the tix for the event on the platform Fever. Then 2 days before the event they send out an e-mail stating “the event organizers has changed the boarding time to 11pm or you can credit your tix for a different date & time”… We decided to select the same date (7/4)with the later 11pm time. No problem, so we thought! Once we get to the pier, it was a total disaster! Good thing we left an hr early because the level of chaos trying to navigate where the boat is and which line to stand on was atrocious! There was nobody from the promotional team or event staff managing the line or directing you where to go for their yacht! Once we walked around aimlessly for 20mins we finally found our boat. Again, there were no clear lines for this boat, so we are just standing in a “concert” like crowd….There was ONE guy who looked like security out on the pier who was trying to organize the line once the boat was “clear” to board, but he was very frustrated with his screaming, yelling and threatening to fight patrons. Extremely unprofessional, then he walks off never to come back to help organize the line for the boat. Now the organizers prepare to let people on the boat, two girls started fighting ON THE BOAT upon entry!!! They removed the girls off the boat and proceeded to CHERRY PICK people to board the yacht! Remember this is a ticketed event where everyone standing here has purchased a ticket! VIP, tickets, Birthday celebrations, people flew in from out of town, and maybe the casual NY’er, all standing in a massive crowd of maybe 300ppl or so. The yacht’s capacity was 200! Are you doing the math…. People were now running, squeezing, pushing, shoving, just to be seen to be hand picked to get on the boat by ONE bouncer! To add insult to injury, not only did they over book the boat they had two separate promotional team’s hosting the party. Needless to say I and my party boarded the ship but that was after having to manoeuvre ourselves to the front of the bouncer so he can VISIBLY SEE US! Mind you, we were all the way in the back with the other sea of people, so if you didn’t move your feet to GET TO THE FRONT you wouldn’t have been able to be seen! At this point someone on the boat yells out “IF YOU ARE NOT ON THIS BOAT IN 20 MINS, YOU WILL GET LEFT”…. This causes mass hysteria, now everyone is pushing to be seen! Such a nightmare! We looked out of the window and seen a sea of people just standing there, these were the remaining paid patrons who were denied entry b/c of faulty promoters/organizers. Once on the boat, there were 2 levels. Beautiful interior however they allowed smoking of any kind. Cigars, weed, cigarettes, e-cigs. It was DISGUSTING! To make matters worse they did not open the deck so you were trapped in that God awful stench of tobacco and weed on the lower deck! Upstairs on the main deck was packed like sardines, but at least you were able to get some type of fresh air due to the structure of the boat allowing for air to ventilate through… Once it was all said and done and the cruise was over the boat was trashed. See the photos I have attached here… I will never board that yacht again until they properly vet their organizers of who will be chartering their vessel. Total DISGRACE!

If I could, I would give minus 100 stars. The staff were rude, and there was no explanation at all for the delayed departure of the ferry. I rushed to get here on time, paying for an expensive Uber, only to be met with indifferent employees who didn’t care at all. We were deeply disappointed by their attitude. As a local guide, I strongly advise against using this ferry service.

Caution, it's not child friendly!! We were asked to leave our $900 stroller on the pier, with no security. We have a nine-month-old child?! When we refused, the employee spoke to us rudely. As a result, we did not take part in the tour. Groupon does not want to refund the money we paid. There is no working phone number for the operator. Caution, do not book!!!!
Daniel Z — Google review
I would give zero stars if I could. DO NOT PAY FOR THIS CRUISE. Came for a sunset birthday cruise, and it was a horrible experience. We all paid about $28 for our ticket, which isn't that crazy of a price, but it was what happened on board that was completely unacceptable. As expected they don't let you bring in any outside alcohol but the alcohol that they offered was insanely overpriced. They would give you a small mixed drink in a plastic cup and it would cost $30 (one shot worth). On the menu it said it was going to be 25 and they don't tell you until after they pour it that it's actually $30. Beer- $15 champagne bottles -$250 small Doritos bag- $10 Cup of ice -$2 etc... We were expecting at least market prices for mixed drinks, but they decided to overprice everything knowing that we're stuck on this boat and we don't have any other options. So what people ended up doing is just not drinking, which means everyone was for the most part sober and just not vibing. The hookah was overpriced and it was electric with that oil stuff instead of shisha. So we didn't even enjoy the hookah because it was trash.... The music they played was awful. I don't even know what the theme of the music was supposed to be downstairs but it was really chill club vibes, what you think would be okay but when it's a party bus and everyone's sitting down sober and not dancing it was lame. Apparently upstairs it was supposed to be house music but it was the same vibe as what they were playing downstairs. They didn't even take any song requests so nobody was able to vibe. The worst part is that you're stuck on the boat, and so once we realized this was absolute trash we just had to stay there for the next two and a half hours. Staff was so rude, boat dirty, overpriced, crap hookah, crap music, waste of money and time. I swear to God whatever you do, DO NOT PAY FOR THIS BOAT CRUISE. No matter how fun you think it might be it will not be worth it. Literally go anywhere else, any other club, any other restaurant. It will be worth your time and money to not come here.
Nico A — Google review
My one star is for the education about the sites while heading to the Statue of Liberty 🗽. First, our cruise was 230. We arrived by 140. Crew said boarding at 205 and not before. It's July, 90 degree weather, no shade. Party of 3. We took 15 min turns in the sun to hold our front space in the line while the others went around the side of a building. I don't assign the lack of shade to the boat. I'm letting you know in advance what to expect. When it was 205, no crew. We baked another 10 mins before the crew came OFF THE BOAT to let us on. I'd have thought they were tidying up. But noooo. I was so disappointed with everything. The tables, chairs and everything were flea market quality. Table tops were not clean. There was nothing to hold on to so staying outside on the deck was a wash. With that fact established, you'd imagine the windows were clean... Guess again. I just sat one place and didn't move. Downstairs looked ok but defeats the purpose of viewing. I was heavily disappointed. We came close enough to lady liberty though. And I managed to go out on deck and get a picture for my money's worth. There was food and a bar but I felt like I wasted enough money so I didn't get anything. Also, I got my ticket from Groupon and that was not an issue. I boarded 2nd. My lesson : Research the boat next time.

Unfortunately, the review will come a little later. But I rented a rooftop terrace in January and everything went perfectly with Tatiana. She was always very helpful and scored me or us the perfect engagement. I would recommend it to anyone looking to have an engagement on a rooftop terrace in NY. The customer service is really outstanding, which is very important when it comes to things like this. Thank you Tatiana!

My (now) fiancé arranged for his proposal to me to be done on a rooftop overlooking the Empire State Building through Rooftop Proposal NYC. It felt like something straight out of a movie and was beyond anything I could have ever dreamed of for a proposal. Everything was set up for us as we walked onto the rooftop and we had moments of privacy in between the sweet photos that were captured. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience. The coordinator even took the time to help me wipe away the mascara that was running down my face from my happy tears of surprise! I would recommend them a hundred times over for their customer service and the experience they helped provide.

I want to share my impressions of organizing a marriage proposal for my girlfriend Karina. Using a company in New York, I gained access to a rooftop where I could create this unforgettable moment. The photographer captured every emotion on Karina's face, when she said: "Yes!" I am grateful to the company for their attentiveness and professionalism in creating such a touching event. Impressions will remain in our hearts forever.

Was looking for a private rooftop in New York, to pop the question. Came across rooftopproposal.nyc. Those guys were so fast in answering back, that I instantly liked it. I send a request to some other companies as well, but they get back to me in 2-3 days and that's not how you do the business in New York. I choose the private rooftop in downtown Manhattan as i like the view and price was reasonable. Our planner sent me the exact location and detailed instructions on how to get there and what " cover" to use, that i was very calm on the proposal day. When I arrived, I followed the instructions and everything went very smooth. We walked into the terrace and it was covered with candles and has a huge heart made of roses, Alison started to cry instantly. I got very emotional as well and couldn't give my prepared speech. I got on one knee and just said " will you" and she said "Yes". It was so romantic and perfect. My photographer Vlad, was hiding behind the wall first and when I proposed he came to us and we start to make more styled pictures. Alison was so happy. She was literally glowing with joy. It was the best night it our life.

As a Marriage Proposal photographer a have done over a 1000 proposals in NYC. And the most wanted location to propose for my clients is a private rooftop with a great NYC view. And you normaly can't get any rooftop for a decent price, because propsals usualy last only an hour and rooftop owners not intersed in such a short term rentals. They usuly just ofeer a full day rooftop rental wich is normaly cost starting from $5000. But cince I discovered RooftopProposal.NYC my work got much easer and my clients are happier. This guys offer amazing private rooftop for any period time starting just from one hour. They have a new rooftop every few weeks, so you can always find a private rooftop for a wedding proposal. As for now I capotures over 100 proposals using Roofop Propsal NYC and I'm so happy with them. Bellow I attached few photos from proposal I made using this company.

My girlfriend and I came from Australia on a short vacation. It was always our dream to visit NY, so we were very happy to get there. My girlfriend did all the planning, so I needed to be very sneaky to bring her on a rooftop. My friend from NY told her that there was a new speakeasy bar, so she was thrilled to go there. As soon as the elevator opened up we saw candles path, she was so happy. I proposed with the Empire State Building on the background and it was more than I can ask for a perfect proposal.

I live in Atlanta and my girlfriend lives in NY, so I was planning to make a surprise proposal and I really wanted to do it on a rooftop. I found Rooftopproposal.nyc online and talked to Tatiana, she was so quick in offering me different rooftop options, that after 30 minutes I already knew what, where and when I would do that. My choice was the Midtown Rooftop as i was looking for the open view and that place really had a great view. As I was trying to make it a surprise, I asked her best friend to help me out. So on the proposal day, they were going to the new rooftop bar in Midtown. They were all dressed up and ready to party. Imagine her surprise, when she saw me in the middle of the cande light heart there. She couldn't believe her eyes and was speechless. What an amazing proposal idea. We had our paparazzi style photographer there as well. He was making pictures of us enjoying the magnificent view. I am so happy I found this engagement service in New York. Would highly recommend it. Josh Ritsuk
