The 13 best cheap eats in Bexhill-on-Sea

I take my client here whenever we come to Bexhill, she has the ham salad and chips and I have the cheese salad and chips. It is SO good and reasonable and the staff as super friendly and accommodating of my client's dietary preferences. I love this place and wish we had one near home (Horley). Highly recommend.

Delicious Breakfast here after a walk from Hastings to Bexhill, Big Portion and great price, friendly atmosphere will be back on my visits to the Coast! Only thing that could have made it better was Black Pudding but that is nitpicking :) The Fried Eggs were cooked to perfection 👌 Compliments to the Chef! One of the best cooked Breakfasts in long time.

Honestly one of the best cafes i have gone to! Their full English breakfast is fantastic.

Have eaten here twice and found the food to be lovely both times! Not a single complaint, heavily pregnant and it appeased the craving every time. Always arrived hot, VERY well portioned for the price, prompt delivery. We will continue to order from here. THANKYOU 🫶🏼

Great food, very cheap. However bottom bum was soggy, would suggest using larger one. Very tasty though.

Paid for my food and was asked to park up to which 25 minutes went by with no food arriving. Asked the girl who was walking food put if she cpukd check where my order was and asked for a new mcflurry as it had turnt to water. Waited 5 more mins with no one else arriving. When in and everyone seem oblivious to my order and no one knew anything of it and didn't even offer to make my food there and then was just happy to give the refund. Good thing KFC is just round the corner they didn't forget that I paid for my order an brought my food put straight away

Ordered food for takeaway, got no sauces or straw for drink. Also asked for toy in happy meal and was given a book. Only knew as child opened box there and then. When I said that we asked for a toy they said they didn't have any. Bit odd.

Honestly the best double quarter pounder with cheese I've ever had from any Macdonald's!!! I'm gluten free so I don't have the bun, they actually served it so the cheese was on the top, it may seem so insignificant to many but it makes a huge difference when the cheese is not stuck to the container 💯 well ✅👍

Just received my order through McDonald's app and literally we've just discovered that we have items missing and this like the 4th time!!!!!! EVEN AFTER LEAVING NOTE ON ORDER KINDLY REQUESTING THAT THEY MAKE SURE NO FOOD/ITEMS ARE MISSING! See photo's.... We reported it and told we will get money back in 15 days but this is not good enough we're hungry now!!!!!! I'm so sick and tired of it and having to deal with dissatisfied, disappointed family or guests!!! No exaggeration this has happened 4-5 times and its so frustrating and needs addressing as packing an order surely isn't that hard!! I use to think some of the delivery guys were just helping themselves but doubt this now since there is sealed bags. I wouldn't normally leave feedback but I really hope McDonald's see this and sort it out and or others who have or are experiencing same thing might share experience too so this does get addressed. ordered on uber eats and my food came missing items, i ordered 2 meals and both meals came without our chips, cant fault the delivery driver as food was fully sealed when arrived. we tried calling the store multiple times but no answer and this isn’t the first time it has happened

Average Mcdonalds store, fairly clean, nice est stop on a long journey. I miss the old choc fudge and strawberry Sundays as do many of us.

The guy who took the order was unprofessional I’ve ever seen, I asked him to make a small change of the order. His reply was why what’s wrong with it and he told his colleagues with sigh/don’t care face that “this guy wants to change it - thinking I don’t understand or speak English”. Less than a minute later the guy came up with a paper bag and said “here it is all in the bag”. I’ve attached the picture of the wrap I’ve ordered with some burned/rubbish black stuffs added. I was literally gobsmaked by that attitude and I asked to see the manager. The guy named mush turned up and he said he’s the manager there and wasn’t helpful at all. I asked him what’s that black thing/ dry leaves on it - he replied that’s a dried lettuce and later he said that’s another vegetable. I wasn’t sure why was I treated by those teenagers very badly. I was treated very badly and really felt low and no one should be treated like that. I would not recommend this restaurant at bexhill retail park to anyone and I wouldn’t even go to stand there on a rainy day.

The chicken is everything you can wish for and their fries are specially prepared. The meals are served very fast and fresh. They already won me over. You may want to try their bucket box or just chicken as those are my favourites. I will recommend this restaurant again and again. Sadly, can someone remind them to fix one of their self-ordering machine that has stopped printing receipts?

Never get our order correct when we are ordering the simplest of meals. We could get two box meals and still be missing a burger here or a drink there. It’s absolutely ridiculous. The young people that work there stand behind the counter boasting about how “easy” their job is because they can just “stand around and do nothing”, not suprised our food is always wrong. Something needs to change.

Food (when fresh/hot) is delicious. Can be a little on the greasy side, but the chicken coating is amazing! Parking is adequate, but when busy you may need to use the larger 'main' car park areas. Seating is varied, neither comfortable nor uncomfortable. When the restaurant is clean, it's welcoming. However, when they're busy and some lazy/messy customers leave tables strewn with the remains of their food, the restaurant is not particularly appealing. Drive thru can be quite slow during busy periods.

The food i got was really nice but i had items missing and incorrect which was quite annoying. My mashed potatoes weren’t there and beans were there instead, and my bbq dip was missing from my order.

We waited 25 minutes for our order😡. The restaurant was not busy. People serving where leisurely preparing orders while having a good chat with each other. We ordered an eat in meal, but we where given it in a takeaway bag to eat, as we where told they had no clean trays.upon looking around, we noticed Quite a few tables dirty and uncleared, and bins where overflowing Was appalled by this, why have the sit in part open, if you can't provide basic hygiene for customers. This KFC has really gone downhill. Won't be visiting again.

Again as per usual missing items. Ordered a 4 piece meal got 3. Ordered a trilogy meal, missing the chicken fillet. Wanted gravy as the side but apparently it’s out of stock ! What we received tasted good but sick of always paying for stuff we don’t receive.

Worst kebab I have ever had! Had a chicken doner and every single piece of chicken had fatty skin on it, absolutely awful. They also forgot our pita bread and jalapeños. And, the chips were cold and dry. Not a nice, first and last time experience. Would not recommend this place, at all.

Hi we with friends normaly take away food from this place yesterday iv got takeaway see how much they fill my box with lamb and chicken meat they literally struggle to close the boxes very very satisfied will come back any time!!+ free bottle of drink because simple they are kind. Happy customer!!

I have been buying pizza at Domino's but decided to buy this time at Rose for my sister's birthday but the pizza was very bad. Wasn't tasty at all. Had to waste the food. Nobody ate it in my family. It was Very salty and so bad. I would rather buy expensive at Domino's than buying cheaper at rose.But the kebab was good for me but my mum and dad didn't like it. Hope you try your best next time rose but am aren't coming back

I've been using these for well over a year now. I ordered tonight and the food was half cooked and the burger has loads of bones in. Seriously I've had enough and going elsewhere. If this is the way you treat customers refusing to offer them a refund is when you go somewhere that does value there customers.

The first impression was so welcome from the owner and staffs. They answered every questions nicely, explained everything clearly and recommended the meal deal as come with chips and a can of drink (I have never tried kebab before). Atmosphere in the shop was alright but I have seen they have very good clean even on the cook zone. I bought take away, the first bite that my partner and I had, we looked at each other and said "f**king good" the small size that is a lot for me 😂 I am 100% sure will go back again and again and will tell everyone that your food is amazing. ❤️❤️

I had ordered cheesy chips with chicken strips and spicy wings to which I was left dissatisfied and disappointed due to the awfulness of the food The food was bland, horrible and tasted weird I had asked for sweet chilli sauce to improve the taste to which they gave me a chilli sauce that I can only describe looked like poo on a plate

The food is quickly prepared and has a great taste to it. The chips are always hot and crispy when you get them The service is top tier a great system of staff they are very friendly and recognise you after you go in a couple times. It is also very affordable on a small budget with meals ranging as low as £5.90 All around great atmosphere affordable and great food I will definitely recommend usa fried chicken to people

I had a disappointing experience at USA Fried Chicken. The food was not good—bland and greasy, definitely not fresh. What made it worse was the customer service. The staff member was on his mobile phone while serving, barely paying attention to customers. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

I had ordered chicken strips and fries from USA Fried Chicken. I’m not too sure how a chicken shop can get both of these products so horribly wrong to be quite frank. The chips were soft and slimy and the chicken strips I can only describe as tasting like straight chunder. Definitely would never go here again and would strongly recommend no one visit here. Vile to be quite frank.

Really is the Best Kebab! Quality meat, really tasty, and plenty of it. Salad is nice and refreshing. Decent price and massive portions, so we have left overs the next day too. You have converted my husband to lamb doner as well!! Never had better doner anywhere!

Had 5 stars till today ordered large mixed donner and chips asked if I could have salad on the side they said NO that will be £4 extra !!! £4 for a plastic tub wow ! Then when it came the salad was old and made the meat and chips soggy and cold! The chips where so under cooked should call them mash potatoes! Worst meat and chips I have had in about ten years !0!0!00!0

I have used this place for years and I always enjoy the products. However, on two occasions now, whenever I have ordered the cream cheese jalepeno bites, I am given 6 pieces rather than 8 l. 8 is advertised on the board. Please update your menu or supply the correct the correct amount in the future

Best Kebab indeed. Always great. Only downside is that on my last delivery I found a big long hair in my shish. Didn't bother me too much as I've got a strong stomach, but the Mrs nearly choked. At least it wasn't curly and it's not put me off as the food is so tasty. One thin I would say, I've been in there when they have been preparing the delivery orders. Why put customers orders on the counter? It's very unhygienic as you also have people in the shop ordering and breathing all over the orders. You should have a screen up. In short, wear head caps and protect the food for delivery. Also, card payments should be mandatory, stop saying your card machine is broken and you only want cash.

We recently used truly scrumptious catering for my father’s wake and I would not hesitate to recommend them. The communication I had with Andrea was excellent from start to finish. The booking process was smooth and simple. She was very flexible with emailing or speaking on the phone. The buffet provided was fresh and tasty, we had many people comment on how lovely the food was. The food was laid out and clearly labelled to ensure gluten free/vegan/allergies were catered for also. The team on the day arrived at the venue early and had the food set up and ready for our guests. They also stayed to top up/rearrange the food as it was consumed and then cleared down after. They made a difficult day a little easier - thank you so much! ☺️

We had a 60th Birthday Party at our home. Truly Scrumptious catered for 50+ people with Hog Roast and BBQ. Andrea was helpful in getting timing for the food and they arrived on time with all the kit to serve hot food to our guests. The food was amazing, everyone said how much they really enjoyed the food, it was "Truly Scrumptious". The food is so important and Andrea's food went down extremely well. Highly recommend for any events, service and food is top quality.

Absolutely amazing food, I had them delivered to me via deliveroo. I had the jumbo hotdog and the big blue burger, both full of flavour, very saucy, dense in flavour but not sickly or too heavy. Not only that, but their little biscoff cakes are absolutely divine. Will definitely be ordering from them again

Really good burgers, served in brioche buns. I got the cheese & bacon burger and asked for fried onions. So good, served really hot - very happy! There’s seating available, all round amazing.

Excellent service from Andrea at Truly Scrumptious who provided the buffet for my wife & daughters recent joint birthday party. Great range of food with the sausage rolls being superb. Would highly recommend

The clue is in the name :) We used Truly Scrumptious for an outdoor BBQ function and they were amazing. The food was incredible and was very reasonably priced. They were prompt and delivered exactly what they said they would - no fuss or issue. We would thoroughly recommend Andrea and her team for any function you may need catering for.

Andrea did the catering for 80 guests at my twins 25th party. Delicious gourmet burgers and she catered for all the millennial dietary requirements. She was back the next morning with equally delicious breakfast for everyone. Lovely lady, delicious food, very flexible and accommodating, can highly recommend 😍

I mean its subway not a 5 star restaurant but I still think its pretty good. I know its closed at the moment but I will admit im sad ive not been able to get in there recently. I wish they would put slightly more filling in but its okay. Fresh food and staff are friendly. Not much else to say. Subway is a go to

Stale bread and dry salad. A lady also asked for milk for her tea, and they went to give her a sachet of milk for her tea. She wanted fresh milk and they gave a dirty look when she walked away. They ran out of sauce on my sandwhich and told me I can select another. I didnt want two sauces in the sandwhich, but there was a language barrier. All the salad fell out sandwhich and wasn't cut in half. This place used to be really good and fresh. Dont waste your money at this place.

It’s such a shame, subway is my 5 year old son’s favourite place to eat but this subway is outdated, dirty, run down and the staff that were there today especially what I think was the female manager (manu) were awful, she walked off leaving my sons food just sitting there while the other girl chatted to her mate. If my son didn’t like subway so much I wouldn’t come back, I thought it closed because it was having a revamp people can just come in and help themselves as the staff keep going out the back. Just awful. Hygiene a 0/5 using the same gloves to take money and use the till as she used to touch everyone’s food gross!

This is the first time I've been in Subway since it reopened. The cafe had debris on sime of the tables. It didn't look clean. Everything I asked for I had to repeat about 3 times. The gentleman just didn't listen. Then another lady appeared to assist other customers and she did the same, they had to repeat everything. When I got to the till, the manager was on her phone on Facebook. She nearly charged me for the wrong orders! Not impressed at all.

Order was 20 minutes later than first stated. When it turned up the bread was soggy and fell to bits when I tried picking it up. Absolutely horrible.
