Creperie
HARBS is a renowned Tokyo dessert shop known for its delectable fruit and cream layered cakes, particularly the signature fresh cream fruit mille crepes. The cakes feature six layers of crepes with fresh seasonal fruits and light, non-greasy cream. Located at B2F of Lumine Est shopping mall, it's advisable to arrive early as there can be long queues.
Not too serious but the Mille crepe and strawberry tart were absolutely amazing! 🫰💖🫰 the custard cream was so good! another piece of cake was so so. The staffs were too busy they got a very long queue coming up all the time. Worth waiting… but take a way would be better.
Tacher B — Google review
I had high expectations of this cafe since their cakes are delicious. However, I was totally disappointed with their lunch, especially the seafood pasta. It was not tasty and too sour. I wouldn't come for lunch again.
Fion C — Google review
We decided to try some of the cakes displayed in their shop — they all looked tempting, though quite pricey. We dropped by mainly because we were craving something sweet and wanted to satisfy our dessert cravings.
Ponkan O — Google review
After a long shopping walk we decided to stop by at this cafe since they have lots selection of cakes. No regrets for waiting 40mins to get seated. The Mille Crapes cake is fluffy, light and not too sweet like a western kind of cake. Their tea selection is various. We ordered Iced Royal Milk Tea & Muscat Jasmine Tea - strong flavor and smell - absolutely not for those who can’t take lots of caffeine
Sudamas K — Google review
I ordered the Mille Crêpes. This dessert mainly has a fruit filling with very little cream, so it doesn’t taste too sweet, which is nice. The fruit is very fresh. However, the outer crêpe layer doesn’t have a great texture—it quickly turns into crumbly bits when chewed.
LILY D — Google review
Tasted 2 different spaghetti 🍝 and Royal Milk Tea Cake taste awesome. Too bad no more my fav for Royal Milk Tea.
JaN N — Google review
OCT 2024 Bought two different seasonal chestnut desserts to try. The marron pie has a thin flaky crust with a thick custard mixed with diced chestnuts, layered with fresh cream and topped with two whole candied chestnut. It was pretty tasty but quite heavy from all the custard. The waguri tart has a thin crust layered with soft airy sponge, light fresh cream with red beans mixed in, topped with chestnut puree and some whole chestnuts. This one was also sweet and tasty and I enjoyed the tart more as it was lighter on the stomach.
Barry — Google review
The lines looked ridiculously long so I got the takeout and it was really good. The best thing was the Mille crepe as the fruit in it made it really good, for some reason the fruit in their cakes are like really amazing. The raisin sandwich was good too as the cream as really good. Overall the food was quite good and I would go back given the chance

Bakery
Takeout Restaurant
Restaurant
Bricolage Bread & Co. is a relaxed cafe and bakery located near Roppongi Hills in Tokyo, offering artisanal French bread, international snacks, and coffee. The establishment consists of a take-out bread and pastry section, a coffee counter run by Fuglen, and a cozy cafe with outdoor seating under shady sakura trees. The collaboration between a chef, baker, and coffee roaster ensures high-quality ingredients sourced directly from farmers in various regions of Japan.
An old time favorite in Roppongi. This bakery café is great for a quick carb pick-me-up or a leisurely lunch. Bricolage is quite popular so the bakery items are variable depending on demand - it's recommended to go before lunch for the best selection. This latest visit was for lunch – everything is extremely fresh and I would highly recommend the salad, fried chicken and shredded carrots. I’ve also had the Wagyu cheeseburger in the past and it was scrumptious. For my fellow travelers – if you are planning to dine-in, go to the counter to the left of the column to order food and drinks. they will hand you an electronic beeper and then you go into the next room to pick up your food when ready. You also wait for your coffee drinks in front of the coffee bar. The register to the right of the column is for to-go bakery items.

We queued for about 50 minutes, so naturally, I was expecting the food to be mind-blowingly good—something truly worth the wait. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The overall experience felt a bit average, like something you could easily get at other Western-style cafés. Their signature dishes were decent, but nothing particularly amazing or memorable. The chicken karaage, however, was a standout—crispy, juicy, and flavorful—definitely something the Japanese do exceptionally well. The cacao drink was a bit too sour for my taste, and the dark rum coffee had only a very mild coffee flavor, which was underwhelming. The pudding is also average, and the brown sugar tastes a bit bitter... In summary, it’s a nice café, but only if there’s little to no queue. Otherwise, it feels like a bit of a letdown and not really worth such a long wait.

This place is a bit confusing. It's hard to order pastries and then sit down and eat them. The ordering counter for meals (burgers, sandwiches) is at a different place than the ordering counter for pastries, but we wanted to eat pastries in the restaurant. It feels like decisions need to be made very quickly and there's little explanation of how that should happen properly. It's almost just 2 shops in the same building, where the pastry counter has no menu and you just have to take pictures of what's available if you need time to think. I think we waited about a half hour to order (which was reasonable). The pastries were pretty good/okay. I don't think there's enough butter in all of Japan to actually rival French pastries, so that should not be your bar if you're going here. We tried several different pastries and the best were the financiers and the sausage dog imo. That said, the cafe latte and the brown sugar dessert option were freaking phenomenal. I would definitely go back for those, but not really anything else. The burger was juicy, but mostly drowned in ketchup and too sweet.

May 2025: Visiting from the United States and stayed at the Grand Hyatt nearby. Workers are very friendly. Found this bakery that had amazing coffee and baked goods nearby. Coffee was fabulous with wonderful tasting notes 🎶. I normally add oat milk instead of cream. The restaurant had oat milk as an upgradeable option.👍 My favorite baked goods were the bread 🍞 and the raisin roll. Also tried the avocado 🥑 toast. Stayed at the hotel for six nights and this place was my go-to for coffee and breakfast. Probably stopped by for coffee, pastries and/or bread six different times. On the last day of my vacation, I tried a "pain perdu" which was so delicious. Reminds me of a french toast... And I looked up the name and it's literally french toast 😀. Aside from the delicious bread, this is my new favorite! Will definitely come back again when I am in Tokyo again!
Ken W — Google review
One of the most popular bakery shop in the area, lots of people were queuing pf a seat. For take out, no need to wait. I waited for 20mins for a seat, then ordered. This is my third time here, every menu was delicious, especially the bakery. Coffee is ok. Salad and bread are the best
Chan T — Google review
Came on a Saturday morning around 11:00 am. There was already a line and the staff said it would be around a 20 minute wait for a party of 2. It ended up taking closer to 30. You order from the register and there’s separate ones for the bakery side and food. We ordered the jerk chicken bagel and the eggs Benedict toast. The toast was delicious, and the bagel was also solid. A little pricey but it’s a nice ambiance and good location if you’re around Roppongi hills. Also got a sourdough to go, which was delicious.
Sydney F — Google review
The service attitude is bad: the ordering flow was so strange, you have to walk against the flow to check the pastry section after taking the number in another entry. After waiting a while to get a table, I have to walk back to make the order AND the clerk asked me serval times if I have a seat to dine in. I showed her my number ticket and told her I already have one table, then she seemed not believing me and asked me to point out where exactly my seat was. I was traveling solo, how can I put my purse in the outside table and walk back inside to make the order?! Of course I have to carry my purse around, and that does not mean that I don’t have a seat, especially I already told her many times that I already have one seat! Back to the croissant: just average. Crispy but not airy. The dark rum latte is good.

Best bread I had opportunity to taste in Japan, loved it. Definitely will come back again. Great taste & atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Thank you very much for this experience 🙏❤️

Takeout Restaurant
Morethan Bakery is a cozy bakery and cafe located in the heart of Shinjuku, offering a modern and inviting atmosphere. The sleek wooden decor provides a calming contrast to the bustling streets outside. Their menu features an array of breads, pastries, and sandwiches, including classic options like ham and cheese as well as creative offerings such as the melty grilled cheese with five types of cheese.
Echoing a lot of the reviews already on here, it was really nice having a bakery like this on the ground floor of the Knot as the only other option for quick eats nearby in the mornings is a Family Mart. Staff here are very nice. The pastries they make with sausage are absolutely delicious. Definitely preferred the puff pastry over the sausage roll, but both were very good. And the croissant with pistachio and jam was delicious. Items are pretty reasonably priced too considering it's in a hotel. There's a lounge on the second floor of the hotel up the stairs where you can eat if the tables on the first floor are filled.
Brandon C — Google review
After our first night in Shinjuku, we decided to grab some breakfast snacks from the hotel. It was really busy, with a long line of guests. We picked a few things to try. A muffin, a quiche and more… But we were pretty disappointed. It tasted old and not fresh like we expected in the morning. For the price, it really wasn’t worth it.
Melissa R — Google review
The good: Oh my… this bakery was the unexpected highlight of o ur mornings in Tokyo. Tucked inside The Knot Hotel, More Than Bakery became our daily ritual. Each morning, my son and I would split the grilled cheese toastie (still dreaming about it), grab a banana (yes, they sell bananas!), and top it off with either a chocolate croissant or a sugar donut. Sweet, savoury, balanced … and absolutely delicious. The standout: That grilled cheese toastie deserves its own fan club. And the scent of fresh-baked goods wafting through the hotel each morning? Irresistible. Room for improvement: There’s no dedicated seating, so we made use of the hotel lobby to enjoy our breakfast. Be prepared for a little queue – it’s that popular. Would I return? Without question. This became our breakfast staple for the entire ten-day stay. Worth it every time. The verdict: 5 out of 5 stars – a small bakery that makes a big impression. A must-visit even if you’re not staying at The Knot.

the cutest and coziest little bakery!! so many vegan options plus jams/honey/tea etc! I got the chocolate vegan bagel and blueberry jam, SO GOOD. The chocolate tasted rich and a lot like dark chocolate! The bagel was perfectly fluffy and toasted. The jam was delicious as well!

A hidden gem in Tokyo!!!! Loved this bakery — everything looks and tastes amazing! Great variety of both sweet and savoury options, and a few nice vegan choices too. The bread is fresh, sandwiches are creative, and the staff are super friendly. Perfect spot for breakfast or a quick snack while exploring Shinjuku. Definitely coming back! 🥐☕️

a lot of attractive breads and friendly staff make me really comfortable. all items in the highly modernized interior looks expensive, but they are not as we look. I hope if they will use better quality of butter even if its price are added additional cost.

Beaver Bread is a cozy bakery located in Higashi Nihonbashi, offering a variety of homemade pastries and artisanal bread. Despite its small size, the bakery boasts an abundant selection of Japanese-inspired treats such as melonpan, naporipan, ciabatta, caneles, and chunky sausage subs. The consistent queue outside the bakery attests to the high quality of its offerings. Visitors are recommended to arrive early to have their pick from the diverse selection.
Very great bakery, highly recommended trying their freshly baked walnut bread rolls. They have attention to detail and really make all their baked goods with lots of love and care. You can pick up your rolls and sweets with some tongs and put them on your tablet. Afterwards you go to the checkout with the selection. Went to this bakery twice when I was in Tokyo. Was amazing!
Chris R — Google review
Overall, it's just satisfactory, but it's not worth the long wait in my opinion, especially if you're not nearby. Traveling specifically for this shop might not be that worth it. The quality of the bread can be inconsistent, depending on which type you choose. I visited twice and bought 6 pieces in total. 1 of them (ie the jalapeno one) is very good , another 3 are just okay. 3 of them are quite disappointing in my opinion including the cake, the mentaiko (めんたいこ) one and the pistachio one.
Jay L — Google review
Incredible bakery. The smell brings you right in! Everything tasted fresh and handmade with care. The croissants and red bean bread were especially good — flaky, buttery, and worth the line. One of those small places that just nails quality.

I am from France and after 2 months of Japan, i was craving for Bread 🥖 🤣 so i checked on google map and found Beaver Bread. I did a homemade custom sandwich 🤣 was super good! I love it, almost cried.. Anyway, good bread! Thank you!

I regret only one thing - that we found this place that late and that we cannot repeat the visit. The place is very cute and offers a great variety of snacks. We selected 5 different ones and all of them were just perfect. I strongly recommend!!!!
Joanna L — Google review
Loved the spicy nut scone. The heat left a great taste. A bit on the drier side, best warmed up to moisten it I think. The sourdough and white bread were good, white bread especially - dense and with a firm bite, great for sandwiches. Deifnitely want to toast both. Cornbread is savory, would be perfect with more butter or some sweet spread. Cornbread and the not overly sweet scone seem worth going out of the way for. Also a bunch of other good looking things here even at 4pm. Also really nice looking pricy jams, I'll have to try in the future!

March, 2023 If you're in the mood for delicious bread, Beaver Bread in Higashi Nihonbashi is a great option. The bakery is small, cozy, and has a friendly atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. The bakery offers an impressive variety of bread, ranging from classic red bean buns to unique and inventive large campagnes. There's also a rotating menu of seasonal bread that adds something new for returning customers. March, 2023 The quality of the bread is exceptional, with each loaf and bun baked to perfection using high-quality ingredients and traditional techniques. You can taste the dedication and care put into each product, which has made Beaver Bread a beloved neighborhood bakery.

Bakery
"The Little BAKERY Tokyo" is a charming vintage-style bakery located in Shibuya, which has recently relocated to a new spot alongside Good Town Donuts. The bakery is known for its vibrant and oversized doughnuts available in both vegan and non-vegan varieties. In addition to the popular vegan chocolate chip walnut cookie and the vegan classic glazed donut, they offer an array of other treats.
The sweets and selections are very reminiscent of American style baking. It was a very nice place to stop and give in to my sweet tooth. We had the brownie, carrot cake, maple bacon donut, canele, and some ice cream. The staff were very nice and very on top of things. Despite there being quite a lot of people, we only had to wait for a table for about 10 minutes. As it's a smaller place, so it can get a bit noisy but not enough that you can't talk with and hear others you are with. I would recommend stopping by if you have the time!
Bethany M — Google review
Staff was very friendly and spoke some English. The donuts were delicious and they had vegan options! The grilled cheese was good and came with a side of potatoes (although they called them French fries lol). The cafe gave a very rustic look and was very cute. You can get your own water and there's a bathroom available. Not wheelchair accessible.
Kay — Google review
Didn’t realised it was right beside Menchirashi😆 Almost no wait for us, lucky us, cause the next customer had to wait for dine-in spots😅 but they are really fast with the clean ups so new seats are available soon. We ordered a milk tea, very bland and a little bitter, not my usual milk tea. But I soon know why because their doughnuts are super sweet😥 Ordered the maple and bacon doughnut and a grilled cheese sandwich. There’s bacon there but, i tasted more of the maple syrup rather than anything else. It’s like the whole doughnut had been soaked in maple syrup. It’s WAY too sweet. The grilled cheese sandwich ended up to be our favourite! Will definitely grab a grilled cheese sandwich to-go the next time I’m in the area!
Meow O — Google review
Came for the pumpkin pie and although the crust was not how I prefer it, the flavor was what my American heart was missing. I also wanted to try the chai…unfortunately it was too milky for me. I also tried some doughnuts and I loved the variety and more fluffy texture. It reminded me of the mom and pop doughnut shops from back home. Also had a panini sandwich…was meh. But I definitely want to go back and try more!

Little Bakery, huge flavor! Flaky, buttery croissants + a perfect cappuccino = morning made. Their croissants are insanely good. Hands down the best I’ve had in my life. A must-try spot!
Lisa S — Google review
I know I am not allowed, but I say it is 3.5 stars for unfriendly staffs. We went to The Little Bakery Tokyo for some afternoon desserts. It was a popular spot as expected. The inside is a bit on a small side, as it is a cafe and not a restaurant. They had lots of American stuff as decoration, as they say this cafe is American-inspired. There is a large table in the middle, with their food offerings, pies, etc. The customers have to go around the table the long way, finally getting to the ordering and cashier. Next to the ordering counter is a window case filled with doughnuts, made by Good Town Doughnuts, who is a sister company to The Little Bakery Tokyo. When you are ordering and paying for your food, they ask you if you want to eat-in or to-go. This is the only way you get a table (if available). Now, the staffs were not very polite nor super nice, which was said by some customers from the past. The seating area is small, with a handful of tables and counter seating as well. We ordered three donuts, and Oat Milk Latte to go with them. Their doughnuts looks really good, and a nice large size, as they call “American size” doughnuts. The first doughnut of choice was California Strawberry Lemonade Doughnut. Really nice flavor of strawberry and lemonade, super tasty! The second one was Van Houten Chocolate Crunch Doughnut. Now, I don’t know if this is made with actual Van Houten chocolate, or they just like using American names, like “California” strawberry lemonade… Regardless, it was chocolate-y, and I enjoyed the texture of the chocolate crunch. Last but not least, Kyoto Uji Matcha Doughnut. It had a real matcha flavor, a bit bitter, mixed with sweet white chocolate to have the perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness. We had a nice dessert time here. We enjoyed all the doughnuts. Great flavor and large size, sure to fill you up. The latte was quite good too, rich and aromatic.
Foodlover G — Google review
In the beating heart of tweener Tokyo, lies a helping of good ol’ baked Americana. The Little Bakery has been a popular stop for out-of-town Nihonjins and overseas tourists alike. An American/English style bakery offering the Marvel vs Capcom 2 selection screen of classic baked items from every Betty Crocker’s catalogue that you never got around to baking. The best part about this being a pastiche in Japan is the price point. Sure, it’s more on the premium side for Japanese typical bakery prices — but versus the boom of these type of treats happening in the west, it’s an absolute steal. 3 doughnuts, 3 cookies, 2 slices of pie and a coffee for about $36 AUD. That’s the cost of 1.75 sandwiches in Australia right now or maybe 3ish croissants. Yep. Listen, I understand it’s not scalable. But akin to everything else in Japanese consumerist culture, everything in balance. These treats are enjoyed in spurts and are a totally affordable luxury/nostalgia as a result. Little Bakery, big feelings of joy.

We found this place by chance when we were waiting for a restaurant next door and was a really good surprise! The pastries look stunning and a lot of variety, you can pick them yourself, pay at the counter and eat seated. We went twice in different days and got the canelle, cheesecake, brownie, pan au chocolat. Everything was reeeeally good (but the brownie). 1st time we went there we didn’t interact almost with the staff so didn’t notice anything, but the 2nd day it was a bit more crowded and the staff was not really nice. Reading the comments I understand it is a common issue to the place

Marbre Vegan, situated near Shinjuku Gyoen, is a delightful vegan cakery offering an array of exquisite vegan sweets. Their strawberry cake is particularly popular for its remarkable resemblance to its non-vegan counterpart. Additionally, the cafe occasionally features savory goods and sandwiches on specific days. The menu includes cakes, tarts, puddings, and even Japanese fruit sandwiches made with fresh fruits and whipped cream - all in vegan versions.
so so so yummy! i came here craving a vegan sweet treat which have been harder to come by in Tokyo than savoury options and this place did not disappoint!! I had the strawberry cream cake and it was delicious and light. They had so many gluten free options also, so great if you are both gluten and dairy free. We came 30 minutes before closing and they had many options left which was a nice surprise. Staff were lovely too.

You can enjoy high quality vegan cakes, and if you come to Tokyo you should definitely visit marbre vegan. The shop has the atmosphere of a nostalgic, small-style Japanese cake shop🍰 The staff were all very kind and gave us a warm welcome and farewell. Another thing that really impressed me was that the shop was open until late. It's a store that makes me wish it was closer to my home, and I'd like to back here again soon.

This tiny little cafe serves mostly desserts and pretty much only one type of sandwich as main. I had low expectations going in but wow was I impressed by the Vegan Egg Sandwich and Matcha Tiramisu. Vegan Egg Sandwich - the "egg mayo" was very rich and "sulphurous". Pretty convincing egg alternative I would say. The bread slices were thick and nice to bite into. I have never been a fan of egg mayo but I enjoyed this version. Matcha Tiramisu - I wouldn't be able to tell that this was vegan. I especially like the bitter matcha powder and appreciated that this wasn't cloyingly sweet. 👍🏻

Absolutely fabulous. It is rare to find a quality gluten-free vegan pastry, especially in the United States, and I was just floored with the variety and options available. The lemon cake was delightfully fluffy and sour, the strawberry cake was incredibly light, sweet, and delicious…and the star of the show for me was the matcha tiramisu. Rich, earthy notes of matcha mingled delightfully with the adzuki and vanilla…it was a taste sensation, to be sure. We also tried the featured vegan egg salad sandwich, which was remarkably tasty and had an uncannily good egg texture! Absolute must try when in Tokyo.

A fantastic vegan light meal and dessert shop. Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden is across the street. The vegan cutlet sandwich was chock-full of vegetables, and the vegan cutlet was delicious. The strawberry vegan cake was incredibly fluffy and creamy, sweet and refreshing. Finally, I got the delicious dessert I was craving!

My favourite place I visited in Tokyo! The cake selection is to die for!!! How can you possibly choose? Right next to the park, you can sit outside with a green view, so peaceful :) The staff are delightful and so welcoming, you can tell everything is made with such love. Vegans, please don’t miss this spot!

Found this place by accident and love it!!! All the desserts are vegan, some of them are gluten free. Had one strawberries low sugar short cake and one pumpkin pie and they were both delicious!!! The staffs are friendly too. So happy to have visited this lovely place.

Universal Bakes and Cafe is a popular vegan bakery located just a short distance from the trendy Shimo-Kitazawa. They offer a wide variety of vegan baked goods, including baguettes, croissants, melonpan, and aromatic herb focaccia that are free from eggs, milk, butter, and honey. One of their recommended items is the amazake roll filled with naturally sweetened white bean paste mixed with amazake.
Amazing café with great vegan food! They are freshly preparing their baked goods in the back. Their sourdough bread is really good, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside! If you eat in, you need to order a drink or a soup.

INCREDIBLE bakery and cafe in a quiet and comfortable area in Tokyo. Everything here is made to perfection and you can tell the second you walk in. There is indoor and outdoor seating and tons of options for all food preferences. The staff are very friendly as well. Definitely one of my favorite bakeries in all of Japan!

This is on the top of my must-try-or-I-will-cry list. This lovely shop serves delicious vegan bakery, soup of the day and also decent oat milk latte 😋💚 ! I even got myself their lovely tote bag as memento 😬 . Coconut Scone really impressed us, the Green Cream soup was heartwarming too 👍🏻👍🏻 !

Delicious, I tried this bakery at least 3 times so far, they always have new stuffs coming, so, it’s worth to check once in a while and see what’s new. The carrot cake and muffin were amazing. Definitely a must go for everyone even more if you are vegan.

BOULANGE Shinjuku Southern Terrace is a highly recommended bakery in Shinjuku, offering impeccable quality bread and pastries. The almond croissant is particularly praised for being flaky, moist, and perfectly sweet. With a wide selection of breads and pastries, it can be difficult to choose just one. The butter chicken curry bread and mackerel sandwich are also highlighted as delicious options.
Nice cafe serving a variety of baked goods, both sweet and savory. Tried the croissant with matcha and it was prepared very well. The outside was flaky and crispy, and the interior had a sweet cream that was not too overpowering. There is shared seating with the eggslut restaurant that is within the same building. Good place for a small treat or snack

I have been here few years ago, and I loved this location as well. However I was so sad to see this place got so small. It used to be a whole floor, but now it has shrunken to third. Breads were awesome, but not many choices because of the limited space. They offered for breads and coffee sets which coffee was 270 yen, and not bad. However I would not coming back.

PSA: My rating of 2 stars is heavily influenced by the quality of coffee. Coffee: had to be the worst coffee I tasted in years, I think i witnessed the barista scooping pigeon dung into the portafilter and brewing into our cups. 0/5 Bakery: Really good!!! Most French branded bakery's in Tokyo are a notch lower in quality compared to the Japanese but this delivered!! Overall: So BOUL'ANGE, EggSlut, and Lucky's Lobsters are in one food hall, and with 2/3 of the focus being breakfast I was EXTREMELY flabbergasted at their attempt at coffee. If you are in line reading this please stop go down to by NeWoman and buy your self an amazing coffee from Verve and then return for your breakfast eats.
Sam M — Google review
I came to this bakery some 10 years back and was truly delighted to see it’s still around, although much smaller the quality of the baked goods still remain the same, while all the items are great the croissants are a must try. Crunchy on the outside yet fluffy inside, coupled with a coffee from punkto coffee (7 mins away) it’s a great way to start your day
SChan — Google review
Their chocolate pastries are the best I had. The croissants are really good and you can tell that they really mastered the art of patisserie with how fresh and delicious the pastries are. Will definitely go back and taste more of the baked goods. If you’re planning to go specifically at this branch, mind that you will have to bear the long line(s) of local and foreign people. The inside seats easily get crowded, so you’d definitely have to eat your pastry at the outside table(s), or take home.
Roui J — Google review
Pastries were superb, flaky crisps with buttery insides. Value for money as well, quality pastries for very affordable prices between 300-500 yen. There are outdoor seats but it gets pretty warm in the morning on a sunny day, indoor seats are available too but it smells greasy.
JH — Google review
Great location in Shinjuku, in the same building as Eggslut and Luke’s lobster. Not much foot traffic for the bakery as compared to the neighbors. Plenty of choices for the pastry, which looks absolutely delicious. I opted for a few of their ‘top’ choices. Would recommend the pistachio connet in particular and you can skip the milk bun. Coffee was great so probably can skip that too. You can dine in in the same shared space as the other shops.
Kenny Y — Google review
Love the croissant here, it's one of the best in Tokyo and at a reasonable price. The pastry was layered and crispy, and satisfyingly buttery on the inside. There are many varieties of croissant including a couple of chocolate versions which all tasted great. Service is reasonable and there are seating but it's mainly for the shop next door. That being said plenty of areas close by to take a seat in the fresh air.

The outdoor seating area is a rare find in this bustling city and is particularly popular with local residents looking for a comfortable spot to enjoy their treats.
Great bakery. I’ve been there twice and they always have many sweet and savory options worth trying. It’s nice to be able to see how they make their bread in the ovens inside the shop

I love the olive bread here! Even though it’s a tiny place with minimal seating outside all good are baked on the premises! The few things I’ve tried have me coming back with every visit to Tokyo!

Great balance of flavors along with the perfect chew. Tokyo knows how to do bread. Salt butter roll - different from the Korean and milk bread salt butter rolls. Chewier along with a crispier crust. Sausage bread - bratwurst sausage w mustard. Not heavy at all. Pineapple and coconut galette- crust was baked to perfection and the flavors complimented each other. Chocolate babka- not too sweet. No need to pair it w coffee. No wait on an early Sunday morning. You can order bread and eat it on the terrace. Good place to enjoy the morning and people watch.

Beautiful outdoor seating area. A short wait to be seated as a single diner, very reasonable. Simple food but well flavored. 95% locals which is nice. The electronic seating and ordering system makes this very western friendly despite being a local spot. The onsite bakery is fantastic and I would recommend grabbing something to go as well.

There are so many unique baked goodies compared to a usual neighbourhood bakery. The prices also aren't that high. I got myself a bagel, the special donut and some rye bread. We can buy and sit out on what they call "terrace seating", which is basically just an open air seating arrangement.

This is a cool little outdoor spot I usually hit-up when I'm in Omotesando and craving something other than Japanese food. The menu is pretty good, includes gourmet salads, sandwiches, pancakes, bread, etc...as well as a Craft Beer menu. Menu is both English and Japanese. The staff speak English. The whole restaurant is non-smoking. On the weekends it tends to be crowded so expect to wait. Put your name on the waiting list as soon as you arrive. The majority of seating is outdoor, dress appropriately according to the weather. The atmosphere is casual and has very cool vibe, especially in the warmer months. CICADA shares the same property, so that is also an option. One of my favorite combo plates here is the Avocado Turkey Sandwich with Canadian bacon and a Craft Beer as well as any salad accompanied with basket of bread. That basket of bread is addicting! Anyways, this place I definitely recommend and you will definitely be satisfied.

The queue was very long. The service was polite. The lights were beautiful, the lighting was good, and the place was clean. The ice cream was delicious, especially the mixed berry ice cream which was superb, fragrant, sweet, and juicy. There were also lockers available for luggage.

There's actually two restaurants on the same floor by the same company, One is like afternoon tea where you get try level plate with different items. The other one is basically just cafe style with fruits as the main ingredient. So if you see the tri-level plate with different items in it make sure you don't go to the wrong section of the restaurant, Plus they only serve afternoon tea and they would be closed after 6:00 p.m. As to the dish that the regular Cafe style restaurant the food is just average and the fruits are not as fresh as I would have expected as they're main ingredient in most of their menu.

Parfaits are really popular in Japan, especially among packs of young girls desperate for Instagram selfies with their fancy desserts. My husband and I had been to Ginza Sembikiya before and really enjoyed the fresh fruit parfaits and sandos there. Yet another YouTube vlogger had rhapsodized about this spot next to Shinjuku Station, so we dropped by after dinner. From a futuristic-looking lobby, we took an elevator to the fifth floor. We were surprised to find it fairly empty even though Shinjuku was as crazy-busy as usual on the outside. There were quite a few selections including a whole section on muskmelon desserts. Creatures of habit that we are, we ordered almost the same parfaits we did at Ginza Senbikiya. I guess we're not intrepid fruit explorers, but hey, we know what we like. My husband ordered the ¥1,540 Banana Chocolate Parfait which to their credit, looked exactly like the picture in the menu. Cubes of chocolate were mixed with like-size chunks of bananas, fudge cookies, and mochi over vanilla ice cream immersed in dark chocolate sauce. I went for the ¥2,420 Strawberry Parfait which was chock full of strawberries layered over vanilla soft serve, apple granita, whipped cream, and strawberry raspberry sauce. Both were fine renditions, though neither parfait was quite the magical creations we found at Ginza Senbikiya. It was still worthwhile though to treat ourselves here. FOOD - 4 stars...elaborate parfaits well executed AMBIANCE - 4 stars...spacious, especially for Shinjuku SERVICE - 4 stars...very efficient TOTAL - 4 stars...parfait, s'il vous plait

Went here on my last day in Tokyo based on the reviews. When we arrived we had to queue for 30 minutes which was okay. It moved up really fast. Limited selection of parfaits when compared to other places but the selection they have is good. Very seasonal. Melons and strawberry were the main ones. Service was good, they give you iced water. Prices are reasonable. Would recommend if you are a fan of parfaits. I enjoyed my strawberry one immensely. The strawberries taste fresh and sweet.

Enjoyed everything strawberry at the fruit parlor. The strawberry-themed items were delicious. The drink I ordered was tasty without being overly sweet, allowing the true strawberry flavor to shine. The club sandwich was light and delightful. Came back again in August, it's peach season, so definitely try what is in season.
Cz J — Google review
We went before noon on a Wednesday and did not need reservations. Aside from it taking just a little longer than I would like for our order to be taken, the display of food is, as advertised. Do expect it to be a little spendy, but aside from that, you'll get some social-media-ready photos. The taste is decent, although I'm not certain it is worth the cost. The atmosphere is appropriate for the price of the fruits offered.
David Y — Google review
A premium fruit parfait place. If you want something unique for a Japanese dessert, this may be the one. This famous fruit vendor company, Takano, offers a variety of fruit-related foods such as cakes, breads(pan), parfaits at this underground location, and it’s worth for you to wait on a line for this delicacy, which would melt away your afternoon fatigue. Highly recommend!

For those craving something savory, the menu features options such as new-kuman (steamed bun) and burgers with extras like chickpea tempeh or smoked soy meat.
This Yakitori burger and this cup of coffee had no right to be so good!!!! Back in my home country for about 2-3 months already, but still dreaming of this burger. Bread was soft (felt like it was steamed?) with a very tasty burger filling. This was really so good I contemplated ordering another one of it again. Licked up the burger wrapper too 😂 I would rate this 100000/10!!! Super yummy.

Fun little vegan and gluten-free cafe. The staff working were friendly and kind. It is a small place and the serves are to the smaller side, too. Maybe more of a snack and treat spot I’d say. We came for lunch and had a pizza and burger plus cake and smoothies and drinks and weren’t full after. The rainbow cake looks beautiful, but wasn’t too flavorful. Tiramisu was more enjoyable. Great alternative cafe if on the search for gluten-free and vegan or dairyfree sweat and savory treats!

Found this gem online and I was so excited to get to try so many baked goodies that are both GF and vegan!! This place exceeded my expectations - I tried the matcha latte, rainbow cake, matcha/adzuki muffin, chai muffin, packaged cookies, and monte blanc cake - they were all amazing!!! This is one of the places I miss most after leaving Japan, everything was delicious, reasonably priced, and so unique. I can't wait to come here again on my next trip. Thank you for making such amazing gluten free/vegan food!!

Flavours were nice but very simple and the burger was actually very small. I was still quite hungry after. It’s a cool concept but I think a little more variety would have been great, especially of the savoury options. Overall I enjoyed it

I ordered the Yuba burger, 3 slices of pizza (in both flavors offered), a slice of red velvet cake, strawberry cake, and 1 slice of chocolate cake. Everything tasted so good! I was most impressed by the soft texture and great taste of the hamburger bun. It was thee best gluten-free bread I've ever had. The pizza dough was also impressive. I'm from the United States and there's definitely a difference in the gluten-free bread in Japan and ours. But, the individual pizza slices are miniature, so more of a snack/teaser than a meal. All of the cakes were delicious, but I thought the chocolate cake was more moist and tasted better than the strawberry and red velvet. I definitely recommend and wish I could eat more of those burgers. Good job Shovhikuen Cafe!

This is one of the best bakeries I've ever been in! The bread is like eating air and the croissants are so crispy without feeling oily. I loved everything I had. The curry bun was so good. We got seaweed salt bread, a red bean bun, a rhubarb jelly bun, a pistachio croissant, a cinnamon sugar doughnut, a custard cream brioche bun, a pizza fritte, cheesy curry bun, and a pistachio latte. Staff is also super friendly and used a translator to help me get around the area too.

This bakery got me in literal tears. I developed an autoimmune disease two years ago and started reacting badly to dairy, eggs, oats… basically, croissants put me in bed for two days. I’ve tried so many vegan desserts, and let’s be honest—they usually taste off. But not this bakery. It’s hands-down the best I’ve had in years. You genuinely can’t tell it’s vegan. The pistachio croissant blew my mind. The mini pizza? So soft and flavorful. Wake up like it’s Christmas morning and run to this place. It’s that good.

Great bakery! They still had a lot of things left at 1pm which our family of 5 was very happy about. We ordered many things from croissants to donuts to viennoises and more. Everything was very enjoyable but the highlight had to have been the melon bread. It was delicious!

Vegan bakery serving baked goods Pistachio croissant is my personal favorite with crispy and flaky layers generous and delicious pistacco cream filling Chocolate croissant is decent, however the chocolate flavor is more mellowed - seems to be a common point in a lot of Japanese baked goods. Baked curry bread has curry filling that is decent - with some heat and can taste the spice Mostly for takeaway

Amazing! So hard to find vegan options in Japan, specially good ones. This place was not only the best vegan pastry in Tokyo or Japan, but even better than what I’ve had from French Patisseries (baked by French Chef)! The Pistachio croissant will not disappoint you, I promise! The pastry itself crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, made to perfection. The filling cream out of this world, you can taste the real pistachio they use! On my way to the Airport I had to make a stop to grad more of their food. The staff really friendly and nice, only recommendation I would give is if possible in the future, to have more inside space for people to enjoy the food without the heat of the Japan summer. Honestly, 10000000/10. Oh, almost forgot to mention, the price is really good too, specially for the quality of the products!!

Le Pain Quotidien is a rustic-chic bakery and cafe chain that offers classic light fare and organic breads. Founded in Belgium in 1990, the brand has expanded to over 200 locations worldwide, including three in Tokyo. The founder's commitment to high-quality, ordinary bread made from organic stone-ground flour is evident in their menu, which includes hard-to-find bread types such as Walnut or Rye Sourdough.
The brunch plate was well balanced and was delicious. The staff were friendly and were seated right away. I’d say the only complaint was being seated really close to another table despite having other openings; I felt like we were eating with the couple next to us.

They have to learn what a Croque Monsieur is when they put it on the menu with no pictures. To charge 2000¥ for this is a joke. The service is getting worse. The sizes smaller. I would not advise it anymore as it is overpriced and kins of a joke a food.

Hugely Disappointed! Le Pain serving stale, day old croissants - at full price. Never before @ Le Pain worldwide experience this. This is Tokyo … where fresh, expected! Very friendly service but shocked by a tasteless, stale croissant. Unacceptable . Please, be honest with customer: Day Old _ 1/2 Price” Or don’t sell.

The best bread in Tokyo. They also have very authentic pain au chocolat. I had a tartine with chicken, mushrooms and Gruyere. The hot chocolate was also good, thick and dark, but the quantity was deplorable - it comes with a cup of milk into which you re supposed to pour the chocolate, but there is at least 6 times as much milk then the chocolate.

Bakery
Japanese confectionery shop
Ginza Kimuraya, the oldest bakery in Japan, has a rich history dating back to 1869 when it was founded by a samurai named Kimuraya. The bakery is renowned for inventing sakadane yeast and creating the popular anpan, a delectable combination of red bean paste and soft bread dough. Since its establishment in 1874, Kimuraya's anpan has become deeply ingrained in Japanese culture and remains immensely popular with branches nationwide.
Had lunch at their restaurant on the third floor. Food quite good - had the beef stew and roast chicken. But the highlight was definitely the free flow bread that was part of the lunch deal that they come over to offer every so often --from spinach bread to cheese bread -- all so delicious and complemented with whipped butter We also bought some baked goods from the ground floor bakery. Queue is quite intense -- famous for their red bean buns-- a little sweet for my taste but definitely really popular. They also sell many types of unique jams like hojicha jam and earl grey jam etc

Breads are excellent, tried both the famous red bean bun and the sesame variety. This was on a summer morning where there was a downpour outside. I wanted to grab a quick breakfast but surprisingly, was told not to eat in store after buying my breads. I was truly puzzled as the entire store was empty and I was only a handful of customers at the store. I understand if this policy should be enforced especially when the store is packed. But this policy of disallowing customers to have their buns hot when fresh, out of store is truly disappointing and one of the very rare occurrence of poor customer service that I’ve encountered in Tokyo.

Ginza Kimuraya, founded in 1869, is Japan’s oldest bakery and the birthplace of the famous anpan sweet bun. Located in central Ginza, it still uses its traditional sake yeast recipe that gives the bread a soft, fragrant flavor. The multi-floor shop includes a bakery, café, Western grill, and French bistro. Their sakura anpan—topped with a salted cherry blossom—is a must-try. It’s a perfect stop to taste over 150 years of Tokyo baking history.

Very good business. Famous for its red bean bread. Some butter Inside the bread as well. There is a big variety of breads for selection. Can come and grab some breads to go. This shop also has an afternoon tea areas on the second floor and some decent meals offered on the third floor.
Antony L — Google review
TLDR: bit pricey for dine-in, red bean buns were ok but nothing special to me We got two sets at the cafe upstairs. I got the shrimp sandwich combo and she got the red bean pastry combo. Both come with coffee or tea. The shrimp sandwich was pretty decent but nothing that stood out. The red bean pastries were also just ok, the sweetness of the red bean comes out but the bun itself wasn’t that great to me

Delicious bakery which will provide the perfect breakfast if you are in the area! Very polite and kind people will help you in case you have any questions! Sweet and salty - or take both! My favourite one for the moment is the „cheese danish“! Thumbs up!
Dimi R — Google review
The best red bean bread jn Tokyo. The second floor is the cafe shop and the third floor is the restaurant. The sandwiches are good too. Highly recommended
Betty L — Google review
Updated review: They used to sell a divine beef curry kare pan while it’s hot but now it’s bagged and you get a soggy one. Such disappointment they messed with one of my favourites. I’m lowering to 3 stars because of food sanitary conditions. Out of 10 times I’ve eaten here, I’ve gotten sick twice. Once was the lovely cream anpan bun in the hot summer, and this last one was the milk bread. I ate the milk bread on separate days apart and realised the culprit. So be careful. They sell lovely baked goods- another favourite are the anpans (baked buns with various fillings) in the front. I like the cream cheese, the chestnut, the classic anko red bean. The red bean doughnut was just ok- next time I will try something else. This store is always busy, côme and enjoy!

Ladurée Tokyo Ginza is a sophisticated bakery with a storied past dating back to 1862. Hailing from Paris, this elegant café and patisserie has garnered global recognition for its exquisite French macarons, boasting an impressive daily sale of 15,000 double-decker macarons.
Very good food and even better desserts, especially the macarons, and especially especially the salted caramel macaron. The afternoon tea is lovely, but you must have at least two people in your party to order it. The staff can be a bit stuffy, but it's still a nice experience overall.

Classy as expected. The coffee was ok. The cake was good. However, several cakes and sweets were sold out by 4PM. The sitting area is nice, but the place felt a bit dark. The best place to sit is by the window, as the view is beautiful. However, when we asked for a window table, they told us it is reserved for the full day, despite having 2 window tables free, and nobody sat in them tell 05:00PM. Even for a normal table you need a reservation, you can easily sign up at the main counter, you’ll just scan a QR code and fill in the info.

Great high tea, with a view of down town Ginza. The sweet side of the high tea was excellent, but the savoury sandwiches were bland and a bit dry. I ordered the hot chocolate with my high tea and it was rich and delicious. I highly recommend this place, but there was to book and there was a bit of a wait to get in. Also it’s worth noting that the high tea is only served before 18:00pm.

Staff is very kind. Food and drinks are good. Duck was uneatable for me, so I left the whole on the plate but the source was good. When you arrive on time, you will have a chance to seat near the window.

We love macarons so we didn’t doubt to go to Laduree in Ginza! They have shop and cafeteria so you can order to go or eating whatever you want there, the cafeteria has good views to ginza streets. We went twice, the first day we order to go and the second day we wanted to have a nice lunch there and how was our surprise that the cafeteria was full and the staff told us that if we want to eat inside we should wait in a corridor outside the restaurant (you can see the pics) after seeing this we left
Raquel H — Google review
Inside light is kind of dark and crowded. Feels like the air ventilation is not good. However, it is in the Mitsukoshi department store and LADUREE so it gives you good feeling to take a break there having sweets and tea.

Everything here is very aesthetic including the desserts, unfortunately we weren’t able to eat in the shop as it was fully booked but I saw empty tables. We took the peach dessert and the Marie Antoinette macaron back at our stay. The macaron was just I would give it a 3/5 and the peach dessert was good but it had a lot of cream 4/5.

The location is just perfect, but if you want the window-side seats, prior reservation is recommended. The ambience is really lovely with pastel hues and Parisian wallpaper. I tried their autumn special Marron parfait which was really flavourful and fluffy. Overall, a cute place to hang out with your girlfriends.

The menu offers a variety of vegan Japanese and international dishes, including mac and cheese, burgers, fries, pancakes, and tempura. The restaurant provides an English-Japanese bilingual menu for the convenience of its diverse clientele.
A beautiful oasis in the heart of Tokyo. I was looking for a spot that offered a quick yet satisfying vegan brunch, and this place exceeded my expectations. The pancakes, salad, and ice cream were all delicious, and the calming music and serene atmosphere provided a much-needed break from the city’s crowds and noise. Even though we only stayed for 30 minutes, it felt like a refreshing escape. Highly recommended for anyone craving tasty vegan food in a peaceful setting.

Located at ginza its a 3 storey building which is easily accessible. They serve really healthy food, be sure to make a reservation so you don't have to wait as their seats are quickly filled after opening ! We ordered their bento sets, though food is abit bland but still good. The restaurant is pretty tight, but they provide a lift inside so you dont have to walk all the way to the 3rd floor.

Loved the food, all the options available. Atmosphere was great. Had like a platter and pancakes, everything was so yumi. You have to go!

While visiting from New York City on vacation, I had the pleasure of dining here — and it was truly one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever experienced. Each course was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and absolutely exquisite in flavor. Thank you for a remarkable dining experience and a special memory I’ll carry with me long after I return home.
Timothy D — Google review
This was the biggest joke. The food was pretty expensive and incredibly bland. I asked myself what I did in life to deserve such a bad experience. First course- dry salad Second course- small bowl of soup. Literally did a double take when I saw the portion Third course- a burrito wrapped in PLASTIC. LIKELY PULLED OUT OF THE FRIDGE RIGHT BEFORE SERVING. There was also a little cake thing with store bought ketchup on top, and store bought tortilla chips on the side with 0 sauce. Dessert was three tiny coin-sized cookies. Literally. I’m still hungry. Portions were small. There were also these super oily chicken nugget things with the dinner plate. I’m from NYC so maybe I have higher food standards, but I have had meals where there is not just flavor, but genuine love and care put into the food. Better restaurants with vegan options in Tokyo- - Asakusa Taiyaki - Fruit Sando spot near Senso-ji temple - Pink Cow

Bread, Espresso & is a popular spot in Tokyo's vibrant Omotesando district, known for its bread-based dishes and espresso drinks. With 16 branches across Tokyo and even a couple in Kyoto, this place has made a name for itself. While it's not just about the coffee here, the bread is definitely something special. From simple toasted shokupan to French toast and egg sandwiches, they've got it all.
Really enjoyed the French toast and honey! Great atmosphere and very nice staff. The bonus is that it’s open early which was great, as we struggled finding restaurants that open before 10am. I would 110% come back! The coffee was delicious as well 🙂
Angie H — Google review
Very disappointed with this cafe. Went for lunch today after reading good review about their artisan bakeries. However the waiter served our scone (the last one left) to another customer by mistake (and it’s really weird to see a customer eating something that she didn’t order). We ordered nicoise sandwich which was very dry and the bread didn’t taste artisan at all. Ice coffee was ok. When paying the bill, the cashier tried to charge for the scone despite the fact that the waiter had wrote a note that the order was cancelled. After going to many cafes in Tokyo, I observed that neighborhood cafe seems to have bother better service and food. I think this cafe is more for tourists.
Nurfitrahm — Google review
Without a doubt- the quality of the bread and pastries is very high! Most of the breads we tried were excellent; especially the sesame cheese boule and the black chilli dog which was very surprising. The service is a bit lackluster and took forever. It took almost 10 minutes for them to just heat up the breads we picked up- I don’t know why it should take so much time. Also servers looked confused and overwhelmed. But the quality is great and the vibe of the neighborhood is so fun. Price is not cheap but you might say that the quality is worth it. I think it’s a great place to pick up and eat somewhere else.
Matan K — Google review
So pleasantly surprised! The breakfast set was delicious, very good bread and REAL French butter, and nice salad too. Great coffee. Friendly staff, open early. Glad I finally tried it.
Vivian M — Google review
The food was good, and coffee as well. However, the service is very inefficient. We arrived and wrote our names in the board, to be seated either inside or outside. There were empty tables outside and everyone else wanted to be seated inside. But since no one from the café actually checked outside for almost 30 minutes, we were waiting anyway.
Malena U — Google review
Super cool and casual! The french toast was soft and flavorful. It needed no syrup but they provide honey just in case. The interior is a retro style so it’s pretty fun.
Stuart F — Google review
Excellent patisserie with great espresso! Well worth a visit. Outstanding croissant and good breakfast sets. Get the panini or pastry on the way out for later - you won’t regret it.
Natasha B — Google review
Felt the staff is racist. I wrote my name and waited in the out side seating area as the cafe was full. Somehow they allowed a Japanese lady while she was writing her name. When I asked, they said wait for the next availability while there was a table seat available. If this happened to a Japanese customer the treatment would be different. Then I left and found a better cozy restaurant just 1 min walk away named Racines Aoyama . Highly recommend that restaurant.

365 Days is a Japanese-style bakery that takes inspiration from European bakeries, offering a delectable array of freshly baked bread and pastries. Located near Yoyogi Park and the Meiji Shrine, this photogenic cafe has gained local fame for its appearance in TV shows and magazines, making it a popular spot for Instagram-worthy photos. The bakery prides itself on handcrafting each item with domestically sourced ingredients.
The bread tastes sophisticated and savory, there are many things to see, a wide variety of breads, and the owner is very kind!

Charming shop with a beautifully arranged selection of bread and pastries. The display is inviting, and the variety of options makes it hard to choose. The staff was friendly, spoke English, and offered helpful recommendations, including their bestselling Croccan, the delicious apple crumble, and a soft, flavorful bread made with Hokkaido milk. The space is a little tight when it gets crowded. If you're in the area and love quality baked goods, definitely worth a visit.

Went here about noon on a Thursday in mid-June. I probably missed rush hour as it was not packed, but a few patrons were about. One of the counter people spoke English well and made it easy to order. They also provided ice packs for the cheesecake as the weather as already war. Nice selection of baked goods. A little spendy but comparable to other mid-range bakeries.

A beautiful bakery store next to Yoyogi Park, with fresh baked delicious bread and pastries. I tried many things there, chocolate bun, cheese bun, cannelle, all amazing good quality and delicious.
J.Y — Google review
This bakery is excellent, with many different kinds of bread. There quality is wonderful and they are very attentive to all details, but they need to put signs in English on their products as it’s written only in Japanese and there are many foreigners in this area. Also instead of taking what you like into a tray they have you tell the staff what u want and they put it for you, which makes service very slow in my opinion…
Matan K — Google review
Fantastic little bakery! Delicious pastries - I had a cheese, ham & asparagus croissant that was delicate, flaky and delicious. Their cold brew coffee is smooth and refreshing. I also like the little gift section where they sell various condiments, coffee beans etc. Staff are very friendly too. Would highly recommend a visit!

Bagel shop
Bakery
Maruichi Bagel is a bagel specialty shop in Tokyo, inspired by the famous New York bakery 'Ess-a-Bagel.' The female owner fell in love with New York-style bagels and opened this simple setting shop. The bagels are made by letting the dough proof, boiling it, and then finishing it in the oven to achieve a crispy exterior and soft, chewy interior.
Bagels are freshly baked and there are constant customers coming in and going out. One bagel is fairly huge and chewy. Cream cheese filling is generous. There are plenty of options to consider including whole wheat and rice bagels. Limited seating and accept card. Quite a walk from Shimbashi Station.

I stumbled upon this bagel shop after strolling around the area. Staff was very welcoming. At noon there were few customers, no line. I ordered freshly baked cinnamon and raisin bagel with raisin walnut soy cream cheese and jamon Serrano ham. They accept cash and cards. I waited for my order around 5 minutes. The place is quite small, only 5 seats available indoor. And few more seats outdoor. The bagel was huge and I almost couldn’t finish them. Everything perfectly goes together. The bagel was crisp and chewy (but not for long if you don’t finish them quick enough. I would recommend to stop by this place.

Welcoming staff and delicious bagels! Thankful it opens early compared to most food spots. I had the garlic bagel with salmon and enjoyed every bite.
Sidra C — Google review
ı am in search for a NY style 🥯 and found this shop that offers their own unique twist — literally. They’re hand-twisted into beautiful shapes, giving them a distinctive look and texture. One of the highlights for me was the germinated brown rice bagel. It’s not something you come across often, and it was surprisingly tasty — definitely more flavorful than the whole wheat option. I also tried a small plain bagel to get a sense of the base flavor, and it held up really well. I also picked up a sesame bagel— I enjoyed it with watermelon and cheese, one of my favorite summer combos, especially with sesame bagels. Their sesame bagel was gooood 🤩. The sandwiches you see in the photos are actually my own variaton, but the bagels themselves are from here — and they turned out great. If you’re open to trying a creative, local twist on the traditional bagel, this place is worth checking out!

Such a cute bagel place hidden away! The bagels were super soft and flavoursome, and the workers were super warm and friendly. I got the everything bagel with saba salad, and a blueberry bagel with cream cheese. Both 10/10. I love that the everything bagel has chunks of rock salt baked into it 🥯

Great food and good prices! As a vegan family of 5 this was a great restaurant that had a variety of different options and plenty of seating. It was so good we ended up coming coming once for lunch and once for breakfast. We tried a lot of very delicious things on the menu like the tofu fritters, pancakes, egg chicken tartar burger, soy meat cutlet sandwich, and more. There wasn't a single thing that we had that was anything but great! I would 100% recommend the egg chicken tartar burger. Ordering is fast and easy on the tablet too. This would be a regular place we visited if we lived closer!

Absolutely loved this little vegan restaurant! Highlight of the trip. Each drink comes with a slice of thick toast with a spread - the soy cream cheese was great. My husband and I both ordered a drink, had a toast each and shared a burger between us. That was more than enough but we couldnt resist a sneaky, sweety treaty. Awesome ambience too - really cute cafe

This is the most amazing place on earth. The staff are really friendly, the service is amazing getting water and a ‘warm welcome’ towel as soon as you’re seated. You order on iPads and the food arrives swiftly, we never waited long. If you order a drink in the morning you get free toast, amazing. For breakfast we had pancakes, absolute perfection. I don’t understand other reviews that complain, the food was so good and made so well. I went every morning and evening for a week and have no complaints about the food, service, tables or staff. I also had the curry mayo burger, so delicious and huge with chips included in the price. Also a favourite was the miso pork cutlet sandwich, divine and so flavoursome the miso sauce was similar to a bbq sauce. Fully vegan as well, such a relief to have this place right by our hotel I think if I visit Japan again I would stay nearby just for komeda.

Visited every day for brunch during our stay and had a great experience each time. The food was consistently good and the ordering process was very easy, even for first-time visitors. As Muslim travelers, we found this a safe and reliable option. The location was also very convenient—just a short and easy trip from our hotel in Kyobashi. Highly recommended for a relaxed and satisfying breakfast in Tokyo.

This restaurant is a plant-based eatery operated by Komeda Coffee. They’ve recreated Komeda’s signature dessert, Shiro Noir, without using any animal-derived ingredients—everything here is entirely plant-based. Just like at Komeda Coffee, the staff are kind and welcoming. There are seats for solo diners as well as box-style booths, and the interior is bright and cheerful. My personal recommendation is the grilled soy meat burger(炙りsoyミートバーガー). The spicy sauce adds a delicious kick!

I didn't know before visiting but you need to reserve a time slot which can be done via the tablet inside the entrance. You receive a QR code for notifications to be sent to your phone, although the staff came to the queue anyway to call our numbers. It would have been useful having clear instructions in English as most of the instructions were in Japanese. When my slot was ready I was called forth and seated. From the menu I chose katsu soy ham sandwich, grains salad with sesame dressing and tofu fritters with french fries, tomato ketchup and tartar sauce. The food was all fine but  standard cafe fare, although I'd skipped the famous desserts as I'd already eaten enough food to fill me up.
Neil W — Google review
I really wanted to like this place. I’ve gone two times to try to give it a fair shot. I’ve tried the tofu nuggets, potato salad sandwich, lemon soy meat sandwich, and fries. The food was just mediocre and everything is overpriced. The restaurant is cute but not as retro or cute as I had expected. I really wanted to feel like I was in a traditional kissaten and I didn’t. There is no water on the table and like most Japanese restaurants they give you a tiny water glass that maybe holds 1/2 cup of water, so I had to wait for the staff to refill my glass. The second time I went I got the lemon soy meat sandwich and it was almost inedible. I’m really trying to understand the hype.

I love the perfect balance between cake, whipped cream, fruits, and nuts. When these components go together creates a heavenly depth of flavour. amazing vegan food and so tasty! really helpful serving staff with good english speaking skills. left feeling satisfied and happy with my food choices! (i ordered the tofu steak as my main and the vanilla ice cream with espresso as my dessert)

Honestly, cannot call this a "restaurant" as they only have green curry. Atmosphere is very nice but the shop is a bit messy, full of packaging everywhere. Maybe because Christmas? More than a restaurant this look more like your typically expensive Omotesando cake shop but in vegan version. Staff... uhm... no welcome, no smile. There were only a panicked woman who never looked elsewhere than the flooring. The place was literally empty on Sunday at 12:00. Weird, thinking all other restaurants around had a queue. I went inside with my coat and bag and was about to have a seat. The woman staff didn't accompany me to the seat but stopped me asking to go to the cashier first. I asked them if I could leave my belongings first... and she was embarazada and said ok. Then I ordered green curry set asking to get the set coffee afterwards together with a dessert (tiny and expensive but best taste ever) that I will order later. The staff was panicked telling me "actually this should be served together..." I was astonished and asked if she understood what I meant. Then she said "ok..." but seemed like not convinced. The conversation was surreal, I was about to leave the place. Green curry taste was excellent, same like you can have in Thailand. But cost 1650 jpy... they named it "set" but actually it only includes a drink. Not even a small piece of cake. Yes, this place is in the heart of omotesando, but even so I feel it like a bit overpriced maybe. This would easily change just adding one small unexpensive treat. After the green curry, the staff came to take my plate but didn't took my next oeder so I went again to the cashier to order the dessert. Then while I was looking around in the shop, she brought the dessert and drink to my table without even telling me. Uh? Dessert was a really cute and tiny pistacchio cannule. Tiny. Kind of 6 cm diameter x 5 cm heigh. But the cute tiny cake was a beast for its price, 770 jpy. Well, taste was excellent, no doubt. Soft fresh, aromatic, melting texture. Well decorated. And you eat it seated in an Omotesando cafe. A luxury treat. It wouldn't sound strange at all if you are in Maison du Chocolate, Pierre Hernes, etc. Guess they have high costs here. I don't think I would come again if not for a high end meeting.

Really great place. The food was delicious and very interesting. 5 stars for the presentation and good service. The dessert was amazing - very substantial and full texture. The only reservation I had is that no matter how nice and professional the waiters are - 3 waiters on a full place is not enough. I felt sorry that they had to work so hard. Please hire some more staff.

Literally the most incredible vegan meal I've had in Japan. I had the day's special for main and dessert. I will certainly come back on my future travels and would highly recommend to all vegan and non! Staff and atmosphere was fabulous!

If you are a serious vegan, this is the highly recommend cafe near Omotesando. The cafe is located at 2F and you cannot look inside from the ground level. I just take out cakes and fruits bar. These materials are very fine and non-artificial flavors. If you are non-vegan, these might be too light...
Ryoko — Google review
Though it isn't by any means cheap to eat here, my personal recommendation is to splurge on this one, it won't be something you'll regret. The dining room is of a quaint size and decor. The staff are friendly, informative and attentive. The set menus are abundant with both content and flavour. As with many restaurants in Tokyo, the music is soothing and tastefully selected. The draught beer on offer is a crisp local lager named Heartland.

Wow. This classy vegetarian place gives you high end food at reasonable prices in a luxury atmosphere. The ravioli just about blew my mind. Amazing people, amazing food. Don’t miss this place!

Sweets and dessert buffet
Buffet restaurant
Sweets Paradise is a renowned dessert buffet in Tokyo, Japan that lives up to its name. With multiple locations and prices starting at around 1,500 yen, it's a haven for those with a sweet tooth. The buffet offers over 30 types of desserts including popular cakes like tiramisu, berry cake, cheesecake as well as unique options such as baked pineapple cake and tea and white chocolate cake.
1. Location is really near Shinjuku Station 2. We visited on a weekday lunch and made a reservation the night the before so we didn’t have to line up. It’s better if you reserve in advance. 3. This branch compared to Sweets Paradise in Kobe has more dessert choices. The area is clean too. 4. Unlimited dessert, rice, curry, salad, pasta. 5. Recommended to visit on a weekday to avoid to much people. 6. Staff are very mindful of when to refill the food.

I never knew about this place until recently, and it’s kinda a fun thing to do if you’re into sweets. There are different levels of all-you-can-eat options, which include sweets and food, or the specialty at the time which consists of themed drinks that you pay extra for. I went with the normal option plus the strawberry bar, and the strawberry stuff was really good. The other desserts were tasty and plentiful, and I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food, as the udon, curry, potatoes, and salad were decent. It’s time based, so you get like two hours if I remember correctly. It was a fun experience and worth it, if at least just once.
Justin S — Google review
There are a few good things. There is a range of different foods which includes soups, noodles, and mostly desert. But there are some very bad things as well, which overshadow the good parts (check attached images). When me and my girlfriend sat down we almost immediately noticed that the utensils were poorly cleaned, if they were even cleaned in the first place. It seemed like they were just left to dry and caramelize after the previous use. Then, my girlfriend noticed that one of her cherries was rotten with a big hole in it. Then, she ate the normal looking cherry, and immediately spat it out. It was rotten on the inside. We are traumatized. If someone has the audacity to say we’re too picky, then maybe they will enjoy this place. When we almost forgot about the cherry incident and wanted to eat some mangoes, it seemed like they were mostly water, like a watermelon (didn’t taste good).
Sasha K — Google review
To those new here, you have buy the store's specials while also ordering here, which comes pretty costly as a drink is like ¥600, and dessert is about ¥800 min. Then, the 食べ放題 special is on average ¥1500 depending on which menu you want to get Honestly, I only came here for the collab and had to get the special as well. The sweets are too sickeningly sweet that even if one likes sweet things, you can't eat a lot bc it's very sweet. It's not worth coming here for the sweets. For those who want to take pics of all these, lighting is not really good so good luck taking nice pictures
YuyuJu — Google review
This store has a few less options comparing to other suipara, but it's still pretty good for the price! The sweets are good and the other things (curry, pasta) are enjoyable too. The collab café was great, they even had some cute character outfits! For any foreigners who don't know how the collabs work: you do have to pay for the all you can eat option + the things you're going to order from the collab menu. They explain this on the website rules and when you arrive you're instructed on how to use the machine to order correctly, it's pretty simple!
Sofia — Google review
Great selection of desserts and reasonable amount of hot food. Unlimited drinks are included in the base price. Just a little extra with you want the icecream as well.
Eric Y — Google review
Definitely don't go here for dinner, but if you like sweets the dessert is pretty good. It's only really worth it tho in my opinion if there is a character collab going on that you enjoy. For me I got a really cool chainsawman dessert and that made the visit worth it to me.

The only negative about this place is choosing which dessert to have - what a menu! The staff were lovely and the desserts were not only exquisitely presented, but my parfait also tasted absolutely sublime. I think this is possibly the best restaurant of its kind in Tokyo (and certainly, at the price point, it’s also the best value).

Was very excited to go eat dessert here, walked through pouring rain to get there. When we arrived, the staff told us that, though we had come at their usual hours, they were not serving any customers that day. We could buy dessert to go but could not eat there. We were very disappointed that this unusual change in schedule had not been published online. The staff treated us like we were inconveniencing them for wanting to be their customers. We purchased a small cake which was very good, but I probably won't go back there again. Also, they only accept cash. Very inconvenient.

(Translated by Google) This shop is only open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 1 PM onwards. I happened to be passing by on Saturday and finally made my first visit. I arrived just after 2 PM, and there was no wait; there was only one other customer in the shop. The bread selection seemed a little limited. It wasn't exactly complete, but there was still plenty left. ◆What I ordered Black bean bread Cinnamon roll I bought the black bean bread because it was rare. This bread is packed with black beans in a slightly sweet pumpkin dough. The black beans have a strong sweetness and are very delicious. If you see it, I highly recommend trying it. The cinnamon roll has a softer dough than a Danish pastry. It's not overly sweet, but rather subtly sweet with a strong cinnamon aroma. This bakery makes the most of the ingredients to create a gentle flavor. They offer a wide variety of simple breads, all of which are delicious thanks to their solid ingredients. The best in Tokyo. Trust me, I’m a pastry chef. I eat at the restaurants in Park Hyatt quite often, and the desserts never ever disappoint. All the cakes, entremet, pastries and croissant are just incredible. And I just recently found the best almond croissants, it’s here! I spent almost 10,000 yen in 2 consecutive days here and it’s totally worth it. Can I say more? And I love the attentive staff here, it’s Park Hyatt after all. Compared to other overrated high end patisseries in Tokyo that make me roll my eyes, this place is moderately priced to pricey for a very solid reason. I highly recommend spending your money here
Masaru M — Google review
Excellent quality pastries with beautiful flavours. Attentive and professional staff. Prices (about 900 yen) are fair considering quality and size of the pastry. Only downside is you can't really 'dine in' unless you go to the Hyatt cafe downstairs and order a (pretty good) coffee.
Marco V — Google review
This pastry is divine! I bought different pastries and everything was gorgeous! My favourite are the pear cheesecake and the pumpkin pie. I also liked the vanilla flan but, unfortunately, the crust was a bit soggy (the only defeat that I found in all the dessert I’ve tried). Honestly, if you are a sweet person this pastry is for you!

Their cakes almost look like jewelry. It costs as it looks. I took out banana bread which ingredients include honey, walnuts, bananas and other nonchemical items. It costs 1000 yen and pretty reasonable price compared with others. It can be a nice gift for the tea time. This cake shop is located at the 2F of Park Hyatte Tokyo. It takes about 15 mins walk from Shinjuku st or there is the free ride bus for Shinjuku park tower every 15 mins. There is also hotel bus but it's less service depending on the time and day.

Pain des Philosophes is a renowned French bakery located in the Shinjuku area, offering a wide selection of artisanal bread and pastries. Despite its distance from the Shinjuku station, it's worth the visit for its delicious crispy croissants and baguettes. Customers praise the quality of their bread, with some even comparing it to authentic French bakeries. The staff are friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall pleasant experience.
The smell emanating from this bakery instantly attracted me into the bakery, the smell of freshly baked pastry in the morning warms the soul. Before even the bakery is open there is a queue already awaiting either by tourists or locals before going on their daily lives. The pastry here is very good. Bought their Asama loaf and croissant. The croissant is buttery on the inside, soft and fluffy, the outer is flaky and crispy. The Asama loaf is also very flavourful. Can be eaten plain and just by toasting it.

This place is so good! My only favorite bakery in Shinjuku, Tokyo so far! It’s a small cute bakery and people always are queuing in front of it. Make sure you get there before 11 or 12, otherwise there’s nothing much left! The staff is super friendly and most of them know enough English. The bread, any kind that I get, always amazes me! They are so creative on baking breads. You can find sourdough with nuts or fruits, croissants 🥐, baguettes 🥖, also some Japanese style bread.
S D — Google review
Literally, the best croissant in Tokyo. It's a small boulangerie with no place to sit in but you will have the best experience with croissants, baguettes, pain au chocolat, etc. Must visit in Kagurazaka if you are a bread lover.
Br Y — Google review
Summer of 2025. Last weekend of June. We came to a university town area. Wonder through the narrow alleys with local tiny shops… through a small playground. And finally I arrived at this shop opposite a temple. The queue might be 10-15min. So decide in your brain first so that you won’t haul the rest of the world. We knew exactly what we wanted as I’ve watched the YouTube video many a times. The staff packed each bread in brown paper bags. We left in a jiffy. I’m from Singapore and managed to save the Asama bread for 2 days and flew home. I’m saving them in slices in my freezer now. It has a combo texture of a cake & a bread. Very interesting. As for the smaller breads such as croissants, it’s best to eat it immediately at the park or you’ll need to heat it up to enjoy the hard work of the bakers. I will visit again soonest when I visit my mil again. Until then keep it up!
Jennifer Y — Google review
My wife and I went to this lovely bakery store the first time. We were recommended by our French collègue about this place. We ordered their croissant along with other nice stuffs. We really loved it, especially their croissant, it’s the best I had eaten in Tokyo so far. It reminded me some of the best croissants I had in Montreal. We went to nearby park to eat and went back again to buy more croissant. Would definitely revisit again.

I'm happy to recommend this wonderful bakery! It's the only one I've found in Tokyo that makes bread worthy of a real French bakery. The staff are pleasant and smiling, and so far I've never been disappointed. The breads are delicious, especially the "Rustique" buns. What's more, there's a wide selection of breads and some viennese pastries. It's a real pleasure to make the trek each morning before my classes to come and savor this delicious bread. Merci beaucoup, et continuez ainsi !

Had the cheese milk flavor icecream, along with their cheese cake and cookie. That was amazing! I love that they have a single flavor of cheesecake but they perfected it. I think air is heavier than their cheesecake. It was soo light and fluffy with perfect amount of sweetness!

This is the location inside LUMINE Shinjuku station. It's next to the Afuri Ramen in the food court. Maybe this place was overhyped for me. I was expecting some delicious crackers. I was also recommended to get the ice cream, but I don't think this location carries it. I tried a uji matcha cream puff ¥351. It was good! I tried all three flavors - salt, honey, and vanilla. They were very creamy, milky, and not memorable for me. A box of 30 (10 of each flavor) was ¥3240. This makes a nice souvenir gift though. The boxes are so prettily wrapped.

What attracted my family and me to this restaurant were the beautiful cakes and tarts. We were 4 people and were told that everyone had to order something, which we did (2 sets of dessert with tea, 1 slice of tart, 1 hot tea). When the first cake arrived, one of the waitresses practically threw the menu at us and told us we had to order "1 people, 1 order", which we then told her that we already did that. She then left the menu right in front of us, then left, and then came back, took it and didn't say anything. Honestly, the food was great, however the service made my family and I feel very uncomfortable and discriminated. We won't be going back.

Racist. -Told us there was a 90 minute wait, but there wasn’t. The party before us left thinking it was 90 minutes but it was the dining time allotted. -We asked for more hot water. They said no. The table next to us (Japanese) asked for more hot water. The waitress gave hot water to them then realized that we noticed and offered to refill our hot water. Racist Food was just okay. Just look good but taste okay…

(Translated by Google) I went here for a tea party with a friend. When I arrived just before 2 PM, the restaurant was nearly full, but I was able to get in without waiting. This time, I only ordered a single tart (around ¥1000). The mixed berry and ricotta cream tart was filled with tart berries and refreshing cream, and wasn't heavy, so I was able to eat it all in one go. It was tall and looked luxurious! The interior, with its black wallpaper and tables, gives a chic impression. Mostly table seating is a little close together, but it was a little lively, but it was easy to chat, and the staff were friendly, even asking if I wanted a refill of cold water. It's directly connected to Shinjuku Station, so it's easily accessible. I enjoyed a delicious tart and a pleasant tea time. The white tart popped against the monochromatic world, and the shining black and green fruits. The tart had a baked cheese and citrus flavor, topped with cream, and the Shine Muscat and Nagano Purple grapes were naturally sweet and flavorful. It was so delicious! The pot of Earl Grey was also quite satisfying to drink. It was the perfect match for the tart! Who would have thought that such a serene, monochromatic world could exist above a bustling station... I've been here a few times, but I always regret it. I ordered a Shine Muscat shortcake tart, a Japanese pear, and bergamot marron tea for 2,380 yen. The taste was average. ...I once again regretted my purchase, as I couldn't have eaten something more delicious for that price. I understand that it's expensive because it's Shine Muscat, but even so, about 1,500 yen for a cake this size is too much. This time, I've sworn to myself never to go again (Original)

Located just a short walk from Hiroo Station in Tokyo, Bartizan Bread Factory is a small but stylish bakery that specializes in European-style sourdough bread. Their signature "Bartizan Sourdough" is made using only flour, water, and salt, with domestically sourced ingredients. The bakery takes pride in offering healthier alternatives to traditional processed bread, with options free from artificial ingredients, trans-fats, and sugar.
I missed a good bread in my 3 weeks in Japan, so I searched for a good bakery and this was simply the best. The bread was delicious, crust was perfect, texture was perfect and the butter&olive oil are good quality. Wouldn’t necessarily recommend the coffee, but if you’re not picky, could work. Staff is great and they have a diverse choice of baked products.

I came here because they sell sourdough bread and I’ve been on a mission to find the best in Tokyo. They have several sourdough options which was a nice touch, with a whole host of other breads to choose from. I got the baguette sliced plus just a regular sourdough bread slice, which was a bit unique and worth trying. Both were delicious and I’d go back for not only those but for the other varieties as well. Staff were great and service fast.

My first time buying sour bread in Tokyo. I came all the way from Adachi because of the good reviews. I haven't eaten them yet, and i plan to freeze some. However i had the blueberry cream cheese for dine in. It was really fulfilling and one is enough for me. The older male staff was really kind. Really good atmosphere and service. Only cashless!

Definitely one of the best bakeries in the area, and with amazing service. The choice is not as large as larger bakeries- which to me is a good thing. They specialize in rye breads and sourdough and they excel at it. The hot sandwiches using their ciabatta is excellent. The blueberry cream cheese was my favorite.

As a Google reviewer I count on Google review to identify new restaurants and places to visit especially while travelling. This bakery has a 4.8 Google review that’s very reassuring. As it is not close to subway station, I took a 40-min walk from my hotel. This bakery is truly a hidden gem. Decoration of the bakery is very pretty and offers a very comforting ambiance. Great music. All bakery are pre-packed for easy selection with name tags to indicate the ingredients. Some variety of the bread offer half or even quarter size! They are very soft and fresh. The store has some seatings to allow eat in. Staff are very friendly and patient to allow me to take photos. I bought a few items and they offer me three big slices of sour dough bread for free! They definitely live up to the 5 stars rating! Highly recommend.

This place deserves 5 stars. It’s really clean inside. You feel so welcomed. The morning staff especially is always helpful and pleasant. They play nice music. I usually arrive 7:55 am and I know they open at 8:00 am but she would let me in. I come here before going to work. Their bread is really delicious and I think it’s now my favorite bread shop in Tokyo. I’m sure that I’ll continue supporting them. Thank you for the delicious bread.

Swan & Lion is a must-visit spot in Japan for those craving authentic British pies. Visitors rave about the steak and blue cheese pie, as well as the bacon onion cheese option. The lemon tart is highly recommended for dessert. Regular customers make monthly trips to satisfy their pie cravings. This bakery offers a wide range of British pies, including beef, cheese and onion, and Christmas (a roast chicken pie).
Lovely, somewhat hidden gem that exceeded expectations from start to finish. Ian (owner) is an incredibly attentive and warm host and all of the staff really know what they're doing. The food was outstanding and the drinks were interesting, varied, and well-composed (Taku PERFECTLY hand-crafts the Guinness clover into each pint!). I'm not British, but I got the feel that this place is akin to a high-end British pub. It will 100% be a regular spot on my list to suggest and revisit.

As a Brit who’s been away from the UK for a few months, I was seriously craving some home comforts—and this place delivered beyond expectations! The Sunday Roast beef dinner was hands down the best I’ve had in a long time. The beef was beautifully tender, the gravy rich and flavourful, and the sticky toffee pudding was just perfect. I was especially impressed by the selection of real British cheeses—proper mature cheese like you’d find back home. (Cheddar, red Leicester and blue cheese) The fish and chips were also spot on, and the menu offered plenty of great options to choose from. The service was warm, polite, and genuinely friendly. The owner even came over to say hello and had a lovely chat with us, which made the experience feel all the more personal. If you’re after a Sunday dinner, be sure to arrive before 3pm—it’s well worth it. A heartfelt thank you for making a fellow Brit feel right at home!

Move over Charles, there's a new king in town. My years of searching are over. The title of Tokyo fish and chips King goes to the Swan & Lion, leaving his competitors miles behind in the dust. Perfect batter, great chips and even great mushy peas. Great for pie lovers too! It's nice to see Welsh Rarebit and Glamorgan sausage on the menu too, washed down with Scottish craft beer. All this is topped off with clotted cream served with a gorgeous sticky toffee pudding. 10/10. Long live the king!

Frau Krumm is a charming bakery in Japan founded by former tennis player Kimiko Date-Krumm. Inspired by her love for German bread during her European tours, she decided to bring the flavors of Germany to Japan. The bakery offers a variety of delicious German baked goods with a blend of culinary influences from France and Japan. While the main focus is on hearty rye bread, they also serve sandwiches, pastries, and drinks.
A small and lovely bakery. German bread is the mainstay but sandwiches, pastries and drinks are also delicious. We can eat only 5 seats in the shop. The impression of the clerk was good, and the explanation of the item was easy to understand. It is very recommended.

Best German Bread „Mischbrot“ we found so far in Tokyo. The „Walnuss-Honig-Brötchen“ are amazing, too. The price for Brötchen, Cake etc is actually not that bad but the price for bread is hefty (however - if you have cravings probably worth it). We‘ll be back :)

May 2025: Stopped by for breakfast on the Golden holiday. Tried the warm breakfast quinoa bowl which was delicious. Topped with yogurt, strawberry, blueberry, banana and walnuts. Would definitely come back for that. Reminds me of a warm oatmeal breakfast cereal. Also shared the avocado toast with salmon. Topped with pickles and radish. Lovely combination. Service was good. Serving sizes were quite small. Especially for price. Very cute cafe. Ambiance was nice. Food was acceptable taste, nothing stupendous. Ordered eggs Benedict which was half of usual portion. Eggs Benedict usually comes with two eggs on two toasts. The mini pancakes were a very small portion but tasty. Food tasted good. Hot chocolate was fun but very cool temperature. He asked to get it reheated.

At first, I was ready to give this place 5 stars and say that those who gave it 1 are just picky tourists. But then I realized what the real issue is. The restaurant itself is cozy and cool inside, which is great during the Japanese summer. My order was taken quickly, and in about 5 minutes I got my coffee ☕ and jamon sandwich 🥪. The sandwich was excellent — perfectly seasoned, with aged jamon (380 days or more). The coffee was also really good, served in a teapot with a small bowl, which was a nice touch. But that’s where the positives end. My wife’s order didn’t arrive. We waited 10, 15, then 20 minutes. Finally, we managed to ask a staff member, and she ran off without saying much. After another 10 minutes, they brought her kakigori 🍧, which was just average for the price. And the iced tea 🧊🍵 she ordered? Never came. It wasn’t even on the bill — the staff simply forgot it. There weren’t many customers, yet the service was this bad. If I’m spending 5,000 yen for a sandwich, a dessert, and drink, I expect the staff to at least remember the order. Just sad. And in case anyone thinks the problem was communication — it wasn’t. I speak fluent Japanese, and my wife is Japanese. The issue is entirely with how the staff handles things here.

le pain quotidien is a place I've visited for the first time in mexico and i fell in love with it. let's say that the branches in japan are quite a bit different. No matter where you go the service in Japan is always good, I've never had a bad experience related to the service in Japan. the food tho was a lot of ups and downs. the hot chocolate was let's say different than what i am used to. the trio of hummus was let's say okay but different also. the granola with yoghurt was okay. the chicken pesto and cheese on a toast was okay bu nothing exceptional. the roasted potatoes with herbs were yummy. the cakes were a deception especially the pistacchio cake. in brief they can do better than this.

I visited this restaurant with my friends and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The staff member, a woman with black hair in a ponytail, was extremely cold and dismissive. There was no greeting at the entrance, ordering took unusually long, and when I asked to move to a smaller table and order again, my request was rudely rejected without explanation. Instead of communicating, the staff simply turned away. As a foreign guest who has always enjoyed respectful service in Japan, I felt unwelcome here. This experience was unpleasant and very disappointing.

The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, perfectly complemented by their excellent coffee. Its location is convenient yet tucked away enough to feel like a hidden escape. The ambiance is calm, stylish, and inviting—ideal for both a relaxed breakfast or an afternoon break. A must-visit bakery in Tokyo. If you are in hotel near by, this is the perfect spot to start your day in Tokyo. I highly recommended.
Irenaldo — Google review
Of all the breakfast spots I have been to in the world, Parklet Bakery is - without exaggeration - the very best. We stayed in a hotel around the corner and went to Parklet every morning. There‘s a wide selection of dishes - both warm and cold - and many vegetarian and vegan choices. Parklet makes their own bread as well as pastries, many of which we tried. The pastries were all really delicious and truly creative, such as a Danish with blueberry cheesecake, strawberry cheesecake or lemon curd filling in the middle. Choices of pastries vary slightly from day to day, so there’s always something new to try when you go more than once. The breakfast menu stays the same every day and breakfast can be ordered in the afternoon, too. We especially enjoyed the smashed avocado bread with oil and dukkah, as well as the granola. However, we also went in the evening when they were open until 10 p.m. — there was a great selection of delicious natural wine from France. There was even an evening menu that had separate dishes than the breakfast menu. For the coffee drinks, Parklet works with local roaster Overview Coffee. We usually order Batch Brews with our breakfast and enjoyed the Ethiopia and Honduras very much. Espresso-based drinks very really well-made, too. The double-shot espresso macchiato was the perfect espresso-milk ratio and the temperature was just perfect, too. Very delicious, I highly recommend to ask for one. Being music lovers, especially Soul and Jazz, we really liked the old school vibes of the music at Parklet. They played all the Soul classics we love. In the evening, the music was different to match the vibe. Most of all I would like to highlight the outstanding level of hospitality and service at Parklet: Every employee is extremely friendly, attentive, works hard, fast and clean. With ten years of experience in hospitality / specialty coffee I can honestly say that any place in the world would be proud to call this team their own. There‘s also a merchandise shelf with some Parklet-branded products, plus coffee, beer, wine, apple juice and other products both local and imported. Parklet offers a variety of seating options such as at the bar, high tables and bar stools, as well as regular tables and comfy chairs. It‘s located on a very quiet street and the other side of the indoors is facing a children‘s playground - lots of fun to watch the kids at play. My wife and I are looking forward to visit you again the next time we‘re in Tokyo. Congrats!

The avocado toast with egg and chili was great. The dark chocolate cookie also very delicious and still gooey inside. The espresso was slightly sour to my taste buds but overall great experience.

I was looking for sourdough bread in Tokyo and this place came up in my search. It’s not easy to find so I was excited to try it. They have lots of bread and sandwich options, which all look good, but I just wanted the sourdough loaf. You can either get a small or a large loaf, and the small is actually quite big. They will slice it for you as well. And it is delicious. I got a warm loaf and had to try some of it immediately. It was fantastic. It’s also good the next day in a toaster. The staff told me that their loaf is a bit denser so it doesn’t keep as long, so to eat it in a day or two. The staff were friendly and the space is a cool place to sit and have a slice. I’ll certainly be back.

If you want a table, you might have to queue for a while. But you can skip the queue outside if you are just getting takeaway. The (vegan) avocado toast is pretty decent, if a bit expensive for one slice, the bread is very nice and on the harder side, which I like. The avocado itself wasn’t the best tasting avocado, but that’s typical for Japan. The dukkah and olive oil do a pretty good job of hiding that though. I didn’t love the coffee (oatmilk latte). It felt like it was a little under-extracted? There is a nice park outside, great for kids.

Vegetarian cafe and deli
Chaya Macrobiotics is a renowned restaurant and store known for its vegan curry packets available in Tokyo's grocery stores. The establishment adheres to earth-friendly principles, such as using domestically grown organic brown rice, serving seasonal and fresh dishes, promoting local food consumption, and avoiding chemicals and artificial additives. While not entirely vegan due to the inclusion of seafood in some dishes, the menu offers various options for vegan travelers. Additionally, the menu is conveniently available in both English and Japanese.
Yummy yummy in my tummy and healthy. I loved the minestrone soup and great organic coffee! I had one of the vegan dishes and was quite happy with my decision.

If I wasn't freezing because it's winter I would have avoided this place. My stomach is literally upset as I type this. I ordered some kind of tea that is half black tea half miso soup and all horrid. I wanted a strawberry cake and they said they only had 2 cakes left so I ordered the chocolate. They gave a donut. Girl the place is virtually empty and 2 pastries left, you had one job. Maybe I should have gotten the donut because the cake was dry and hard. Chocolate cement comes to mind. Since it's virtually empty and quiet it's the only thing that was good about the place. Maybe it's empty because of the above reasons. Oh and JPY700 for cardboard cake and JPY600 for tea soup? Yeah never again. Seriously, my stomach is churning.

Chaya Macrobiotics, located on the first floor of the Royal Park Hotel in Shiodome, offers a nicely decorated and comfortable setting with friendly service. While the atmosphere and service were enjoyable, the food was a letdown. I ordered the Grilled Tuna, which, unfortunately, was neither good nor flavorful ….

The food was really delicious and the croquette just hit the spot. But I find it misleading to put two on the picture in the menu when you're only being served one! As someone pointed out, they used to put two but now reduced it to one. It is rather pricey but I feel this is the same for any vegan/"healthy" café. I was full and happy after the meal. But I am someone who eats very little so it might not be enough for someone with a normal stomach. I ordered the salad deli plate which came with a tiiiiny soup, juice shot, salad and a main (you can choose) and I picked the croquette. There seemed to be only ONE waiter, I felt kind of sorry for him because it was lunch time so it was a bit difficult to get his attention for ordering as he was very busy. Later, another waitress came but having only one waiter during lunchtime is a bit...

Great place for vegans and people with allergies but everybody can enjoy the food that is healthy and reasonably priced. Atmosphere is nice, natural bright environment, high ceiling nice furniture (a bit old, some tables and chairs need maintenance). Staff is polite, maybe could smile more. Sweets are in general excellent

There are behaviors I don't understand sometimes. The table that was indicated to me was not facing the sofa so I just pushed it a bit on the side, just so the seating would be in front of the table. The manager came back immediately and put the table back again not in front of the sofa. I mean, is it a big deal really? And I told him in Japanese that the sofa was not in front of the table too... but he brushed me off like no big deal. I come several times a month to this place. How about the famous Japanese omotenashi?
Samantha L — Google review
Cool place - I love the vegan options and felt their vegan burger was quite umami and tender. Importantly, the bun was also very fluffy on the inside and crisped on the outside. The chai latte was also great, with a strong spice flavor.

In Japan, KitKat has become a sensation with its unique and diverse flavors that differ greatly from the original chocolate wafer bar. The KitKat Chocolatory in Ikebukuro is a must-visit for any traveler, offering an array of exclusive flavors such as cre brulee pudding and Shinshu Apple, which change seasonally. This boutique also features premium creations by renowned pastry chef Takagi Yasumasa.
It is my favourite place in all of Tokyo to get the best selection of KitKats. So many different flavours, always get the multi pack so you can try all the flavours. So worth it
Anthony P — Google review
As of November 2024, it was in fact, on the 7th floor, it seems like they move it around a lot, even within that small area. Make sure you are in the correct Seibu building, as this one did not connect to the others at the top. It was in an area of a lot of other sweets booths, and in the corner. We asked the nice lady at the Tulip Rose booth and she brought us straight to it. It's like others said, it is a very small booth, but it did have a bunch of interesting flavors I had never seen before.
Andrew L — Google review
As of December 2024 the KitKat stand was located in the B1 underground floor in between exits 37 and 38. Took a while to find it. Previous comments of the staff not speaking English or not acknowledging you were correct but minor compared to the disappointing fact that there were only 5 flavors available in the whole stand. A combination of 3 single KitKats cost 940 yen. If you’re visiting for vacation it’d be better to go to any Don Quijote or similar around Tokyo. They have dozens of different flavors and tax free.
Iosif K — Google review
Not as many flavors as I thought they would have, hard to find in the basement of Seibu shopping center. The variety pack was all flavors we have had before!! Only about 5 flavors we haven't tried and the individual selection was around 6 without getting the variety pack!!
Stephen B — Google review
To be completely honest I would not come here if your intent is to find a nice selection of KitKat flavors in Japan to try and take back home with you. Not only is this an extremely small booth that only sells like 7-10 flavors of kitkats on it, but almost every flavor they had I had already seen at many stores throughout Japan with exception to like 2 flavors: sweet potato and ruby. On top of that I came here solely to find my favorite flavor (and the most difficult to find as it's region locked) Tokyo Banana, which of course they didnt carry. IMO the ONLY saving grace of this place and only reason ide recommend anyone to come here is for their 4000 yen tester box which has 70 pieces of KitKats made up of 14 different flavors (perfect as a gift for friends back home). If you still want to see for yourself it's very difficult to find so I will do my best to explain to you where it is as of March 4th 2025. When you walk out of exit #38 from Ikebukuro Station bust an immediate right and start walking down the sidewalk along the building you just exited from until you see a company called "Hermes." On the left and right of the building should be glass door entrances to another building that reads "Seibu". Enter, look for the elevators, and take them to the 7th floor which is the candy/bakery/sweets level and the KitKat booth is in one of the back corners by the bathroom. If you are okay with not buying any of the KitKat flavors but just want a cool place to explore with lots of delicious sweets and candies then floor 7 of this building might be worth a visit for you. On the other hand if you are looking for an affordable and massive selection of flavors just walk to the Don Quijote across the street and buy to your hearts content (they literally had 3x the amount of flavors the official KitKat booth had lol.) And finally, if you are looking for the ultra rare and pricey KitKat flavors like Tokyo Banana and Sugar Butter the only place I found them was at a store called "The Shibuya Souvenir Store" in the multi story shopping mall across the street from Shibuya Station. Hope this helped and have fun in Japan baby wooooooohooooo!
J B — Google review
This shop had so many varieties of KitKat for my son it was great. If you need gifts for a loved one and they like KitKat go to this store. The staff was very polite and helpful.
Tedric P — Google review
Only KitKat Chocolatory left in Tokyo area...unfortunately it's only a stall in the B1F of the Seibu building of the Ikebukuro Station. They had about 10 different seasonal flavors alongside a 10 and 15 piece variety pack of those flavors. Additionally they had a 21 piece pack that includes some of the non-seasonal flavors such as cheesecake, strawberry shortcake, momiji maple leaf, etc. Lastly, they have a flavor combined with Tokyo Cacao from Ogasawara Islands. Pricey for KitKats but nice to be able to get variety packs to bring back home for friends and family.
Alex H — Google review
Our expectations were super high as we are on a mission to try as many kitkat flavours as we can. The place is quite small with a more luxurious presentation of their products. Here you will find the Ruby Red chocolate which is hard to find elsewhere. The staff is super friendly with almost zero English. Upstairs there is the KitKat cafeteria which is a nice place to have a treat, no more. We had the ruby red hot chocolate, which I recommend and couple of pastries. This is a good place to buy a present but to buy the real kitkat bags you have to look in small shops and airports and train stations.

Kandagawa Bakery is a hidden gem located in a quiet residential neighborhood near Waseda. Despite its unassuming appearance, this bakery attracts locals and visitors alike with its freshly baked goods, including sweet and savory breads featuring ingredients like raisins, matcha, red bean paste, and cheese. The bakery's seasonal sourdough loaves and rustic breads are particularly popular, known for their dark crust and earthy taste.
It seems to be a very popular bakery so I had to check it out. We got an anko salty bread and soy milk campagne bread. The first one was good but the soy milk bread took me by surprise. Such a nice chewy texture and an amazing taste. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED it! I was also surprised that it was relatively not that expensive.

Okay, this place is the real deal. Went there about 3 pm on a Sunday in June. It is a window ordering place with maybe two small tables and chairs if you want to eat there. The prices are on the higher end. Around 350 yen for each baked good. I guess the price does not deter the loyal customers. While this may not rise to the level of ambrosia, it is definitely top-tier. It is near a university and may also attract college students. Anyhow, worth a visit as you can't go wrong.

Truly delicious bites! Discovered this place when walking along the Kanda River and searching for a snack. Bacon roll, bacon epi bread, and cream cheese raisin mini pain de campagne. All were excellent, I wished I'd bought more for tomorrow's breakfast. For good, fresh, handmade breads the price is really good as well, about 250 yen per piece. Good luck finding that around Shibuya or Shinjuku.

Boul'Ange is a popular bakery in Tokyo known for its delicious housemade bread, croissants, cakes, and baguettes. It has become a staple in the city's bread scene, offering a good selection of mostly French-style bread such as baguettes, bread rolls, croissants, and open sandwich types. Unlike other Japanese-style bakeries, Boul'Ange sells authentic and freshly baked on-site breads multiple times throughout the day.
Wonderful produce from this bakery. We bought a baguette for breakfast and two croissants: an almond and raspberry one. Would definitely recommend the almond croissant and baguette.

We tried the pistachio cornet and chocolate cornet. Definitely try the pistachio cornet cause it was amazing. I still think about that pistachio cornet. Just melt in your mouth and has a crunchy exterior that is not overly sweet. If I could come back, I would come slightly hungry and try more desserts from this place.

The almond kouign amann was so good, like a hybrid cookie. Would highly recommend this place. It’s in the food show area, among other baked goods. There weren’t that many options when I went around 5-6pm.
K H — Google review
After a big sushi set meal, I was craving something sweet and crunchy, so we swung by this small bakery to check out the selections. The milk cornet, their #2 seller, was extraordinary, with a divine crunch to the pastry where you can feel every layer as you bite down. The light and sweet filling was quite firm, so it held its own against the formidable exterior. The raspberry croffle was similarly excellent, with a chewy pastry texture and a sparkling, juicy filling - it looked like a culinary treasure and tasted like one as well. Special mention to the service, as the shop attendants were very kind and joyous, making the food even easier to love.

This bakery does an exceptional pastry called the Pistachio Cornet. It's a horn shaped buttery and flaky puff pastry chock full of luscious pistachio cream. The magnificent crunch and creamy pistachio filling made for quite a delightful experience. Highly recommend texture junkies with a sweet tooth to give it a shot.

Perfect for your morning pastries and coffee, reasonably priced. There is some nice seating inside, select your pastries and order your coffee, sit and enjoy. Location-wise this is situated opposite Shibuya crossing and Shibuya JR station - super convenient. There is a wide selection of pastries, breads & cakes available - my family ate here approx 4-5 times when travelling in Japan, I stayed at the hotel above the ‘food-show’. We preferred eating here instead of the hotel breakfast ( mainly because I feel they are over-priced and the kids don’t eat huge breakfast’s). We also found it cheaper. For a family of 4 (2 adults / 2 kids) we would spend approx 3200 yen (approx $33) for a selection of 7-8 pastries to share, 2 mango juices for the kids and 2 coffees for the adults - I reckon that’s pretty good value when compared to 7000 yen for the hotel breakfast)
Graeme M — Google review
Visit this place 3 times. Very friendly staff and great experience. Fantastic pastry. I am very impress when the staff bring out freshly baked pastry. He remove the old ones and put the fresh one. He took the old pastry to the back kitchen to throw. That is pretty impressive. What typical bakery do is they will put the old pastry in front and fresh pastry at the rear. So as to sell the old pastry first. Really a must visit when you go shibuya.

I visited the shop on 15 June 2025 and bought some cookies. Taste is delicious. Take note the shop is within the JR Level 1 Interchange area towards the Keiyo Line (GRANSTA TOKYO - Keiyo Street Area), next to Starbucks (see photo) The shop is inside the ticket gate. Nestled away from the hustle and bustle, Patisserie Petit Tomo is a hidden gem that beckons dessert lovers with its exquisite offerings. The highlight here is undoubtedly the beautifully crafted parfaits, which showcase high-quality ingredients and are as visually stunning as they are delicious.
One of the best Montblanc I ever had. I am Swiss, working abroad, where finding Montblanc is rare. During my 1 week trip in Tokyo in October 2024 I wanted to eat a Montblanc every day at various places. By coincident I found this patisserie today (24.10.2024). They were out of Montblanc. But the nice lady (probably owner) offered me to make a fresh one within 2 minutes. I took it as Take Out. Definitely the best Montblanc I had in Tokyo. It's on a european standard with rich chestnut flavour, sweet and floored with delicious Meringue and topped with Marron glacé (at a price of 730 yen). Highly recommended for Montblanc lovers. I'd not noticed this tiny shop until yesterday when I was on my way to Suido Gallery near Edogawabashi station. I bought tarte tatin and cheesecake both one piece each. Both cakes use high quality ingredient and I loved the fact that tarte tatin 's crust was not soggy. The caramelized apple had lovely buttery taste with a hint of bitterness of caramel. The cheesecake had rich but refreshing flavour; the cheese is from the famous Yoshida Farm in Okayama. We'll definitely go back to try others.

Hal Okada Vegan Sweets Lab is a small plant-based cake shop located in a quiet alley near the Hiroo shopping arcade in Tokyo. The store offers 100% vegan desserts, including options like royal chocolate cake, strawberry soy rare cheese tart, mont blanc, and classic style vegan cheesecake. While the shop primarily focuses on pre-ordered cakes, there are a few seats available outside for customers. Additionally, individual slices of cakes are available for takeaway each day.
Beautiful little vegan dessert bar. Everything is presented so perfectly you almost wouldn’t want to eat it. It was a really hot day and they kindly gave me two ice blocks to keep the cake I bought from overheating after I left. The cake itself was delicious, a nice mix between a strawberry sponge and a fruit sandwich. There’s a good selection to choose from as well.

This small, cute vegan patisserie was on my Japan vegan bucket list for a while, and I’m glad I was finally able to check it out, well I got there 5 minutes before they closed, but I was still able to buy two delicious choco cakes options. They were delicious, not too sweet and not dry, which is quite normal for vegan cakes. The shop is a bit pricey, but worthy.

Stopped by this place in accident as we were at Hyozaemon shopping for chopsticks. Saw this as we were exiting so had to stop by. We were not disappointed. The food is well manicured and the counter person took great care to make sure it traveled well, packing it with ice and all. Everything is vegan and can be by the slice or whole pie. Slices are about 800 yen each. For vegan food, that is competitive. Very tasty and no hint of coconut so am not sure what they use for the oil base. It is well worth a visit.

Chloe G — Google review
Incredible vegan cakes! No cash, only credit cards. Very small shop, mostly pre-ordered cakes but some individual slices are available for takeaway each day.
Tori H — Google review
I’ve been here twice and tried their chocolate cake, cheesecake, Mont Blanc, and strawberry shortcake. All were so delicious and I love that it’s vegan!

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Shinjuku, Tokyo, PIER'S CAFE is a stylish contemporary spot that beckons coffee lovers and food enthusiasts alike. This charming café offers an array of espresso drinks and iced coffees, complemented by freshly baked pastries and indulgent desserts. Whether you're starting your day with a delightful breakfast or seeking a cozy place to work remotely, PIER'S CAFE has you covered.
A convenient cafe located across from the Kabukicho Tower, and the Airport Shuttle Bus Terminal. A great place to grab some baked items, and coffee. You can ask for them to reheat the baked goods. There are multiple working stations with outlets as well.
Kirushanth R — Google review
Coffees were too bitter and smell like burned coffee beans. The pastries served cold without reheat and tasteless. All staffs seemed to be quite friendly. Very noisy with many girls in the coffee shop which talked and laugh very loudly. Not my preference for meet up with friends here.
LS S — Google review
Calm café with many seatings. No sign available, so I had no idea what kind of bread I bought until I tasted it. It was a bit cold even though they heated it. None of the items I had was remarkable.
Anna J — Google review
Fantastic place, very friendly for remote work! Free wifi and outlets to plug in your laptop while working. Atmosphere is great, not too crowded and noisy. Food is delicious too! Had a hearty Spaghetti Bolognese with blended coffee to pair. Convenient location too. Highly recommended.
Evan Q — Google review
Nice cafe to chill at! Wanted to get the bakery soup set but they were out of soup. I think there was a sign on the table that said your second drink was half off, but unsure.
Ari — Google review
Really delicious but no pancake as in the picture. Paid 880 for two pastries and a large coffee. We'll worth it!
Josh L — Google review
Good morning. It's hard to find breakfast here in Shinjuku Tokyo but I found some delicious food and coffee at Pier's Cafe. I ordered a cafe Mocha, mushroom/bacon breakfast bread thingy and egg/cream cheese stuffed breakfast ball. See video attached. I loved everything and it was only 1000 yen. Follow @bouncingplaces on youtube to see my travel adventures 😀

Great place for breakfast. We had the bakery deal (2 baked items and a hot drink) and an orange juice each. Calm cafe. Friendly staff. Other customers were working from the cafe.

Amazing ice cream shop. Must visit every time when visit Tokyo. Cheap and delicious
Bart L — Google review
I bought an ice cream cake here and have also been here a couple of times for an ice cream cone. The popping shower flavor is the best! The cake cost more than 5000yen which was a bit overpriced for a factory-made cake in my opinion but it looked and tasted great! The only other downside is that there's nowhere to sit so you have to stand and eat.
Ayako I — Google review
Always love their ice-cream and friendly service!
Christina W — Google review
My husband tried their shake for the first time in his life and he really loved it! It's a little bit expensive for a shake but still worth its price ;) We'll go there again and try it with the other ice cream!
Tomoko L — Google review
the ice cream at Baskin Robbins is incredible 😍 You can tell from the texture of the ice cream that it will take a while to melt (kind of like a gelato), the flavours i tried were amazing (cookies&cream and a jamaican almond flavour) and even when it's on a cone you get a spoon to prevent you from making a mess. 😜 There's loads of flavours to choose from, and it's on the cheap side of reasonably priced too.
Micaela — Google review
Small and pricey; only 31 flavours and they are often out of the 'best' by the end of the night. Otherwise, good ice cream open late!
Andrew M — Google review
Very limited place to sit.

La petite Mercerie is a charming café located directly connected to Shinjuku Station Chika, making it a convenient spot for a meal with friends. The cozy atmosphere and delicious food make it an ideal place for couples or even solo visitors. The menu offers a great set that includes favorite dishes, drinks, and decorative cakes at a reasonable price. One can enjoy delectable pasta dishes like shrimp and broccoli while indulging in seasonal decoration cakes adorned with cute snow crystals.
I visited here on May 27th, just before 2 PM, primarily to view the cakes on display from a distance. A staff member encouraged me to look more closely and even take photos. The lady staff's positive attitude left an excellent impression on me. I hope you value and commend employees who welcome customers so warmly, even before a purchase is made. I look forward to buying your cakes and visiting your café very soon.
Ry P — Google review
The cakes are okay. No waiting line when i arrived, so i could get two seats right away. Good spot for the view of Shinjuku while you need some rests after a long walking.
QC T — Google review
Pop by for a afternoon tea session. The passion fruit herbal tea is refreshing and the muscats are real crunchy and sweet. Recommended.
Geraldine K — Google review
Treats are mediocre. Cakes tastes like preservatives. Service is awful. Not friendly towards foreign tourists. Was rushed to order the moment we sat and she snatched the menu from us. Very rude waitresses. A new Japanese couple sat beside us and were not rushed to order at all. Smells of dirty, unhygienic restaurant cloth too.
Diana N — Google review
Got the cake set with matcha latte. The shine muscat cake was absolutely delicious, light and not too sweet.
Panjawan B — Google review
Delicious. Staff was polite and courteous, spoke English. Ordered two slices of cake for takeout, the gentleman made sure we were happy with the packing of the cakes before closing the box. When handing our order over, he confirmed all the items of our order. I was very happy with the service and more importantly, the cakes were DELICIOUS. I would highly recommend.
Jennifer O — Google review
Stumbled across this cafe to take a rest. There was a small wait. The waitress did not speak English, but we managed to order. The cakes were very nice! Drinks were special too. A bit on the pricey side.
Liz — Google review
Food was average, was rushed by the service staff to order, stood behind us and flipped the pages of the menu for us and loudly rushed our order, place was practically empty so there was really no need to do so. Worst service experienced in Japan so far. Coffe was kinda nice
