Went here for dinner with family. There was a great choice of food on the menu. Our food was delicious. The staff were exceptional. Would highly recommend coming here.

Popped into the Highlands Inn in Uckfield and was pleasantly surprised. Decent pub food, generous portions, and the service was friendly and quick. Plenty of space inside and a nice beer garden out the back. Good spot for a relaxed pint or a casual meal.

Lovely place, we spotted it driving past a couple of weeks back and decided to book a meal there, well worth the 30 minute drive to get there. We weren't kept waiting to be seated on arrival and all the staff were friendly and attentive, the food came in good time and was amazing, we will definitely be going back. I would recommend this if you are in the area, beats a lot of more expensive restaurants hands down.

Came for lunch as a party of 10, easy to find, and easy parking as many spaces. A few family groups were also having lunch, and the establishment has a nice friendly feel. A range of menu options were ordered, 1 of our party is a vegetarian and had no problem finding menu options. The lunches and desserts were all great bar mine which arrived with a long hair resting on it, spotted as the plate was brought. The waitress was apologetic and another plate was brought about 10 minutes later. Dropped a star from my review for hair in the food, so only 3 stars.

Cant fault it at all - food was great quality, staff were welcoming and wonderful. We had 2 kids and 2 adults meals with drinks and was well priced for the quality. Plenty of space for seating outside, car park is large, atmosphere and interior was well kept, clean and was spacious. Will be back again.

The food was of good quality and service was reasonably quick. A pleasant place to have Saturday lunch for 6 people. Service was polite and attentive but, waitresses and waiters quite forgetful and a bit distracted; they failed to deliver the necessary cutlery on two occasions and heart delivered the wrong food for one diner, fortunately we noticed. The restaurant was fairly quiet, so no real wax use. Nevertheless the waitress apologised, hopefully a one off.

We are regular customers, and have used the highlands on numerous occasions as a family of 10-15. Tonight we visited for a birthday celebration and have unfortunately had the worst experience, and am very disappointed to the extent we shall not be returning and we are writing this review. We booked a table for 10 people in advance, and on the day of the booking received a call asking us what time our booking was, so we confirmed 6:30. They mentioned they had us down for 4:30. They stated this would not be an issue, and we said see you soon. Upon arrival we sat down and the table was jam packed, we moved the children around to make more space. We ordered drinks, and they arrived quickly… and then after flagging down the waitress they finally took our food order. After an hour, we noticed all the tables around us receiving their food even though they arrived later than us, and ordered later than us. Finally our meals arrived, and the portions were extremely small… and many of us ate of kids plates. Then upon eating the cheesy garlic bread, a massive hair was found in my partners food. This was brought to the attention of the waitress, who did not say much other than they will replace it. The garlic bread then came out when everyone was finished, so did not eat with the rest of the meal. We were not offered any drinks throughout the meal even though most glasses were empty and didn’t even ask how our food was. Due to having no service, we left it a while after eating but again had no one had come over to clear the table or ask if we want drinks or desserts. So we got up to pay at the bar. We were presented with the bill, and it was a fully priced bill with the garlic bread still on. We queried and expressed our utter disappointment on the overall service, and food received along with the added extra of hair. Again we use this venue often, so was extremely upset that they ruined not only our evening but a birthday celebration. The manager did not look after us, and was quite happy to loose our custom moving forward. We left after paying, and I returned to get the receipt where another member of staff served me and had to get the manager to re print the receipt… and he came out expressing how we was fighting with the chiefs. Unprofessional, and clearly issues behind the scenes.

We had a wonderful Indian dinner and couldn’t be happier! The food was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and served with genuine hospitality. Every dish was delicious - rich, aromatic, and comforting. A lovely evening all around. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend. One of, if not the best curry I have had. The lime pickle with the poppadoms was sublime and the sag aloo equally as good. I had the lamb shank which fell off the bone and my wife had a biryani, which wasn't on the menu, but they made specially. Top marks for taste and service.

Booked them for our 40th wedding anniversary. We had 15 People in total, me pre booked food, all ordered straight from the menu on the night. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, the staff were polite, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I can highly recommend eating here. It's our takeaway of choice normally but will definitely go back to eat in again. Everyone in the party had very positive comments afterwards so well done guys. We had a brilliant evening. Thankyou!

What a lovely find in Uckfield. If you're looking for a quality pleasant Indian restaurant, then ths is the venue for you! Food was amazing and very reasonably priced. 2 courses for 7 people came to just under £150. Service was five stars. And the surroundings whilst small were pleased and we didn't feel too crowded or close to other diners. Drinks were reasonable too. My pint of coke was £3.25 . Will definitely be visiting again. Exceptionally happy with the party booking we had this evening and the way staff were able to accommodate us.

Cannot recommend this place enough. We’ve eaten in and had deliveries, and the food/service has been 10/10 each time. I’m from a big city up north which is supposed to have some of the best curries in the country, but they honestly are not a patch on Amira’s! 👍🏼

Four if its dined at Amiras and every dish was superb. This was our first visit but won't be the last. Atmosphere and service also excellent. Can't wait to go back.

I had a decaf mocha, which tasted great, just a bit hotter next time, please. My wife's latte was also lukewarm. Our child accidentally knocked over his milkshake and was really upset, but the manager kindly replaced it free of charge. Thank you!

We had eggs benedict and a burger. It was ok. The desserts (cookie & plum tart) were delicious. Coffee - nothing special. We waited for quite a long time for our lunch.

Bit expensive for my taste and for what you get but then again British prices are high. The place next door is not so up market but it's all about your persona. You have to order inside if your eating outside

Wouldn’t come back. We booked a table for brunch on a Sunday at 10am and upon arrival told it was a 40min wait for food. The wait was longer and with two young kids was far from ideal. The food was nice, but nothing exceptional, and service was okay. But the experience is enough to make us avoid in future.

Really nice cafe in Uckfield Town centre. Has a great reputation & been recommended a few times to us. We went for lunch & had 2 different sandwiches & a kids meal. I had the BLT which was one of the best I've had out, lots of bacon, fresh ingredients, nice thick tasty granary bread & a decent sized side salad. Really enjoyed it. The kids meal was a good size, hot & fresh with tasty ingredients. Service was good. A little wait for food but it was a busy Friday lunchtime. All very fresh. The burgers looked great, so we'll try those next time. Recommend a visit.

Lovely vibe, great food and coffee although the service can be slow at peak times however don't let that put you off.. give it a go, you won't be disappointed

Very impressed with the service we received today, the whole team were friendly and welcoming of our doggie on a cold a frosty morning for breakfast. The food was of good quality and service was prompt. Not the cheapest of places but happy to pay extra for a cosy place with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Toilets were clean and pleasant to use too, which I always feel makes a difference. Plenty of gluten free and dairy free / vegan/ vegetarian options too 🤩

Only second visit, but NOTHING like our first. Ordered the two course senior option, and whilst the portion size was the small senior, as it was a Saturday, paid full price. Whilst the Bangers and mash, and the hunter's chicken was fair size, I have never seen such a small portion of fish. Two fish fingers would have contained more. See menu photo against actual. Will not be back.

This is a beautiful pub excellent food for price and amazing prices !! The staff are beautiful and just so warming snf welcoming, dogs are more than welcome so fred loves it so much too and they aren't shy on giving treats to the dogs... they are amazing with the children and just overall a very family friendly and friendly family experience ❤️

Kid's party was loud but amazing. The children were given a masterclass in pizza making. Each got to create their own pizza which was cooked for them. They had a started of crudites, doughballs and garlic butter. Then the amazing pizzas arrived. Desert was a chocolate brownie. Great time had by all.

Pizza Express Uckfield went above and beyond for my little sister’s birthday. She is wheelchair bound and profoundly disabled. We had no idea that our waitress, Mauricia, asked whose birthday it was and how old she was turning for a specific reason! Mauricia - you made our evening.

Always good beer and friendly welcome. As well as Harvey's Best and Old, there is often a seasonal ale on such as George & Dragon, or Easter Ale, etc.

This is a nice spacious pub with a large saloon bar and plenty of tables and chairs for diners to eat. Honest, friendly service, with food served on warm plates, having not taken too long to cook. Good quality food too. Specials board. Good range of local Sussex beers too. Definitely worth a visit.

"local pub for local people!" The piano music didn't quite stop playing as we walked in the door, but this is very much a pub for locals! Only bog standard beers on draft. Nothing remotely interesting. And only 1 ale on too. If you live in walking distance you'll probably go there. If you don't, I wouldn't make any significant effort to do so

Not a local ale house of mine, but I have visited the Alma on a couple of occasions now and the standard of the Harvey's ales served has been excellent. Nice traditional pub!

Not the best experience, there were 3 dirty tables before I found a useable one. Ketchup dispenser missing and no soap in the gents WC. The food was ok, the coffee was faultless. I'll update this review on my next visit here as this isn't the usual standard of McDonald's.

A fair example of a McDonalds. Though, I did wait 8 minutes for large fries and the toilets needed a good clean. Otherwise, ok.

So slow and inefficient. Made me park up for 5 chicken selects and was waiting for 25 minutes. Monday at 5pm… there was only 1 car in-front of me in the drive through. Making ppl park up so it seems like they are being fast with drive through orders.

Super slow service ( >20mins to wait for 3 burgers and chips). Chips cold/ dry and not salted. Kids burger given was the wrong one Music too loud in restaurant. It’s McDonald’s so you don’t expect too much but this was awful… it’s a far cry from delicious hot fast food with a smile.

This branch's policies is a joke. I usually go to the one in Maresfield bypass but for some reason chose to collect from Bellfarm Ln today. I ordered on the app to collect at the parking bay, and waited for 5 mins, I noticed was marked as collected on the app but waited another 5 mins to give them benefit of doubt. Still nothing. I went in to collect my order which has been sitting for awhile with no attempt to actually deliver it to the collection bay. DONT OFFER THIS SERVICE AS AN OPTION IF YOU WONT DELIVER IT. That's fine, I collected my order, thanked the staff. It was a fairly big order so I did not check through all items before leaving. When I got home, I found out that I was missing two items. I called the branch for assistance and they told me I could not prove that it was not there, and therefore I could neither get a refund nor go back to pick up the items that were missing. This is apparently their manager's policy. Do you have a policy that customers should inspect every item in each bag for every take out or delivery order - if so, this should be made clear. Thankfully I paid by credit card and will be filing a dispute on the transaction.

Great location, stopped in this evening before going to a local cinema 🎥. Restaurant tidy and clean. Food order didn't take long . Food was great. Staff friendly.

Spent an hour here, cause I food took zo long, they didnt have burgers, cuase they were put of buns? We missed our train because of this and had to buy a new ticket for 200 pounds... also had the most annoying peep playing constrantly, headache material

Had a make your own breakfast and hot chocolate. The menu was not very explicit in depicting the quantity of each item, and the food was pretty OK. The drinks were a lot better. The service was good, and very welcoming. The atmosphere was very comforting, wasn't too loud but not too quiet. Would recommend to others for a drink and a little treat.

I love this place. It ticks all the boxes for me for what a cafe should be like. It usually has a bustling atmosphere of friendly cliental. Attentive and friendly staff, lovely food and drinks. Clean, spacious toilet facilities suitable for a wheelchair with access ramp and a kids play area tucked up the back. They can't do too much for you. Love it! Worth a visit.

I was recommended to go to the Coffee Barn by the picture house staff. I wanted to sit outside as the afternoon was glorious for an April day. It didn't disappoint, the staff were lovely, friendly, helpful. Olivia looked after me, showed me the menu options. We chatted about tattoos and travelling. Definitely recommended a visit if you are in Uckfield high street. Thanks 😊

We visited for lunch with some friends on a Friday. The owner was very friendly and welcoming and there was a very good choice of food. We had toasted sandwiches and potato skins, both served with a side salad, then another coffee and cake. The food was delicious, great atmosphere and the owner was very helpful with our allergy questions. I would thoroughly recommend, and we'll definitely visit again.

Great place, lots of indoor and outdoor space. The staff were super friendly and very quick for service and checking up too, even though we were the only table outside at the time. Child friendly, lots of high chairs available, we came with two babies and lots of space and very accommodating for them with baby changing facilities too. Cakes were delicious with lots of options and good range of food and drinks. I ordered chicken Caesar salad and did think it was a little small for the price though, but very tasty. Will go again!

I love the coffee barn and their food is always delicious. The service is always very good and the owners are lovely to their guests, however I notice quite often that the owners are rude and dismissive to their own staff. I feel quite sorry for the young waiters/waitresses working there as they seem to be constantly sighed at, told off or yelled at. I feel that employers have a duty of care to their staff and it makes it particularly worse if the customers are noticing it…I have noticed it several times. I will of course come back to the coffee barn because it’s a lovely cafe, but I would like to see more respect to the staff from the owners please.

Delightful staff, location, and coffee 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 The vegan option was delicious :) sweet potato and kale sausage roll.. highly recommended They also offered a vegan breakfast but didn’t have time to try that :) I’d love to see some vegan cake options and other snacks delights for us plant based people 🫶🏻😊

It was our 1st visit to Fortune Fish Bar and it was delicious! The Fish & chips was freshly cooked while we waited. If you're a 'Fish & Chips' fan then this is the 'plaice' to go!!

Travelled 9 hours just to try and wasn’t disappointed. Anyone passing by should in fact needs to get some. The fish was just mouth watering an the chips was just as good. Oh and the scampi was just beautiful. Owners are super friendly and welcoming. After having this I don’t feel any other chippy will compare. Would happily make the 9 hour round trip again. Thank you.

Visited early September 2022. Wow, best fish and chips we have enjoyed for a long time! Batter on the fish was wonderfully crisp and not greasy at all, chips portion was so big we put some in the fridge and had them heated up the next day. Shame we were only in the area on holiday, we would be having food from here every week!

Amazing chips, best i have had for years. However, my pie was microwaved and the meat was chewy. Tasty gravy but an awful pie. My partners cod was excellent in size and quality but the batter was not crisp, it was soggy. I know that it is Weald in the field evening with lots of people eating there - but disappointed over all. .

Wow, what an excellent Chinese takeaway! Very friendly staff, very reasonably priced, very efficient, the quality of food was fantastic with generous portions & remained hot by the time it arrived home. We were also given a free bottle of Coke, prawn crackers & mini spring rolls. The takeaway runs very smoothly, especially as it was Chinese New Year. We would like to thank the Golden Dragon for a great evening of food - would definitely recommend & we will definitely be ordering from here again!

Phoned and ordered. Food was ready quickly. Was given free prawn crackers. All hot and fresh. Noodles were tasty. Pork balls weren't chewy. Really surprised with how nice they were. Beef Satay was packed with beef and was yummy. Only disappointment was the vegetarian mini spring rolls. There was absolutely no filling in any of them. They were just pastry rolls. Still tasted good but just a heads up. Very happy overall.

Food , service the people that own the place so bloody rude , caused my son to have a seizure , didnt even help just because they didn't put our order in the bag , overcharged and now banned from the store.

Last time I ordered from here there was a sharp piece of plastic in my pizza. The manager resolved this 3 weeks later by just refunding me. Yesterday I ordered again and there was hair in my pizza. Won't be ordering from here again.

Pizza tasted absolutely revolting. Normally like a dominos as well but this branch...eurgh rank. Dirty in store, olives tasted mouldy, sauce was bitter, dough was stodgy, and the cheese smelt off. Had to take off work the next day as felt physically sick. They should be shut down. Unless you want foul, old manky pizza, go for it. Otherwise don't bother with Uckfield dominos.

Food is always made incredibly quickly, im surprised at how fast ive gotten deliveries before, the food is nice for the price and the atmosphere could be improved but thats a general dominos thing and not specific to this branch, staff are nice and patient with people's orders.

Pizza arrived at the right time and was warm. Just a friendly suggestion - some chefs have the knack to make sure that the cheese does not get too stretchy and its taste can be relished. Like today the cheese on the pizza was too stretchy which spoiled the whole fun of relishing a pizza so if the other chefs can be mindful of this aspect it could really help.

Small order of pizza and two sides placed through app. Waited over an hour and a half for delivery for the order to be stone cold and incorrect. Tried to call multiple times to check on order but no answer on phone so can’t communicate with them, so couldn’t get a resolution on wrong order. Terrible, will never order again, recommend go to La Stalla Pizzeria in Uckfield instead, much better customer service and food. EDIT: Dominos got in touch after I contacted them, no explanation as to not being able to contact store or apology for cold food, just a small partial refund for mix up on order. EDIT 2: Tried Dominos again 3 months later and still awful service, they still don’t answer the phone and food took over an hour and a half to get here even though we now have to pay for delivery.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING SERVICE! Received the text at 19:05 saying pizza has left the store, arrived at 19:30! (Bearing in mind I live 2 minute drive from the store) When I opened the door he had the pizza out the box, I took it, opened the box to check it, looked up and he'd gone! By the time I'd had 2 slices it was cold (didn't really care as was hungry) and (bearing in mind again that I didn't want a free pizza or replacement or anything) if he hadn't of vanished I would have sent it back. We all know how annoying it is when your food turns up cold? After phoning the store to simply inform the manager of the service I was greeted by an abusive voice which wouldn't shut up and wouldn't let me talk and basically called me a liar!!!!! I was now 20 times more annoyed!!! I'm writing a letter to the relevant people and reviewing this everywhere I can. After getting so disgustingly spoken to their very lucky I didn't go down there in person. WON'T BE USING AGAIN.

They don't even deserve a 1 star. Ordered nachos as per their photo and got a small packet of nachos crisps for £3.45. Order cheese slices (paid extra for cheese) with my sub rolls. Also none exitent. Tried phoning to complain...they don't answer their phone...wonder why? Cause they know people are going to complain. False advertising and daylight robbery. Never again!!!

We have been to quite a few Subways in our travels and yesterday we visited Uckfield and walked past your Subway branch and saw quite a few customers inside, a good sign. We went in and looked at the meats and salad dishes to see if they were fresh and they appeared to be. We then ordered two Whole-wheat rolls with various salads and a meat and all we can say is the other Subways can learn from thus branch. The roll and the ingredients were absolutely fresh and what a great meal. Staff were very professional and friendly no wonder they have a constant stream of customers. Both Eastbourne Subways could learn from this branch, well done team

Disappointed that every time I order and order crisps I get sent the wrong ones, substituted because apparently out of stock. No communication that they are out of stock. Only aware when a random picked flavour turn up, £1 a bag too! Would be nice to have it communicated so that I could chose from what they DO have in stock. They have phone number so why can’t they call?

I placed an order with Subway Uckfield via Just Eat at 12:10 today stating it would arrive at 1:10, nothing arrived at 1:20 so i called to chase they said it would be another 35 minutes i agreed to wait and they changed the just eat time to 2:00 nothing had arrived. I called and spoke to a rude member of staff saying cool, mate and stating it was not his fault and that the order has still not been sent, he then hung up on me after me asking him to call the driver who was not on route to us. The driver returned and said the order had not even been made, and they were too busy he would refund me. I am absolutely furious with the service, no communication and outright rude staff over a two hour wait!!!! for nothing. Furious avoid avoid avoid.

We ordered food at half ten, only two curries and we put in cash instead of card. We waited and waited and waited and made rice at home in preparation, but after waiting so long we called them to find out what was happening with our order and nothing the phone kept ringing. It was after 11 which was their closing time but still if we had paid them online they would have delivered, but since we chose cash they couldn't even be bothered to call us to say oh no we're going to cancel your order etc. Instead of keeping us waiting and waiting. Really bad bad service and I'm not going back to them ever again. And their lamb is too tough anyway. Rubbish rubbish Indian restaurant.

Decided to get a takeaway delivered so I could watch Brighton play their semi final. What a great decision. My food turned up hot and no errors on my order. I asked for a Chicken Tikka Vindaloo Hot,Hot,Hot. I added a special request for an addition of some bird eye chillies if possible. The food was superb. 1xVindaloo Hot Hot Hot. 1x Mushroom Rice 5 Poppadoms + Pickles etc. 1 King Prawn Puree 1 Onion Bahjees. Delicious 100% recommended.

I visited for the first time recently. The venue was spotlessly clean. Big plus. The food was excellent - I wouldnt say that portion size was huge but is was delicious. 10/10 score. Good menu, but no desserts and no coffee/hot beverages - both were asked for and on both occasions we were told that they don't do them. Note: I saw on another table a leaflet saying clearly saying dessert and coffee/tea. The food is obviously good due to the number of takeaways I saw being collected. I don't know if the website is up to date, however, it does not appear to reflect the actual venue and there are a lot of what appear to be stock photographs on it. The overall feel was that of sitting in a takeaway with tables which is a shame. The niceties you would expect of a restaurant aren't there. However, a great place for a boys night out with a beer.

Didn't fancy my chances at like 11pm and thought it was going to be a McD's but lucked out chancing upon this place. Great food, affordable, good portions (£8 mango lassi jug can serve 3 or 4 people btw!) and fast, with friendly service and generally just highly recommend. Good veggie options.

Amazing take away meal. Lovely differing tastes from each dish and full of flavour. Had 20% discount on collection too, so made it really affordable. We've used most of the other restaurants in town, but this has definitely been our best experience. Definitely will be a repeat customer.

First time at the Lucky House and we weren't disappointed. Food was on time, generous portions and very tasty. Staff friendly. We will be making this our local chinese takeaway from now on.

Take away so atmosphere doesn't really count. Very expensive and not the highest quality of food. Can't wait for golden dragon to re open.

Coming from Bristol I wasn't sure what to expect, but the food was superb and the cost was much less than I'm used to. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing. While I appreciate they were busy as hell on Xmas Eve, having someone sticking their head through the door from the kitchen and berating the poor girl taking orders, in front of customers, and while she was on the phone is borderline abuse. It's not her fault people want to come in and order food. Be civil. Hence the 1-star atmosphere, awkward doesn't even come close.

Today I tried House special noodles (no seafood, no pork). Guys gave me more beef 😀. Beef and chicken was tender, vegetables cooked well and still with a little crunch!!! DELICIOUS DELICIOUS Thank you! J

We are vegetarian and bought chips and curry sauce from here - the chips were anaemic and the curry sauce had meat in it! I only realised after having a forkful… I was pretty sickened. When we called to ask if the sauce did indeed have meat, the guy said yes… but didn’t tell us so when we were in the shop and it wasn’t expressed on the menu. The guy we spoke to had no sense of appreciation of the effect eating meat unknowingly has on a vegetarian. Fair enough. He just argued and in the end I gave up as he didn’t want to listen. Never have I had a meat curry sauce sold to me in a chip shop. Please guys, have care for your clients and understanding. And cook your chips until they’re crispy please, thanks.

Amazing gluten free menu. Had the gf haddock and chips, and the staff are lovely!

Been working in the station pub for a bit to help, I’ve come here (from Portsmouth) but to this chip shop twice now, the service is unbelievable, the food is amazing ! And great curry sauce. If I could give 10 stars I would!

Absolutely delicious. The children’s portions are huge and the service excellent- cheaper than most places ( they also give a discount for Blue Light Cards which many places do not) I wouldn’t go anywhere else now. The Best. Thank you so much.

It's a real shame for a cod and about a kilo of potatoes to give up their lives to be turned into soggy chips and mushy overcooked mess. Batter is somehow tough and not crisp at all. Not sure if we got a bad batch or chef was out. Enormous portions, large cod and chips could kill a man.

Never ever make recommendations for anything, but have to say the food in this place is amazing, the service top notch, and finally the portions off the scale, well done Riverside Fish Bar!!

We liked it. Don't expect a Michelin star restaurant meal and you'll be fine. Took the family for a quick bite of food. Staff were welcoming and friendly. From the choices we ordered, the kebab was the best. I would go again.

I have recently moved to the area and I was Keen to visit this establishment. Now while the staff were polite, the food was abysmal. If this is a burger joint, then kill me now because to be fair it's kebab burgers for burger joint money. The milkshakes were superb alas that was the only saving grace. Uckfield needs a quality burger and pizza joint. This is not it

Yum. Fantastic food for a reasonable price and lovely staff. The menu is extensive and has a surprisingly large amount of vegetarian options for a fry up diner. In short, if I could eat here every day for every meal, I would.

So walked in to be greeted bluntly with ‘you want a takeaway or sitting in?’ Sat down to a good looking menu , many choices ! Boyfriend loved the strawberry milkshake. But it was freezing cold in there !! Didn’t take jacket off throughout the meal . I asked to have crispy bacon in my chicken burger which it wasnt. To be honest wouldn’t say it was any better than McDonalds! Staff members were arguing and chef was swearing . A back door where I presume the food was stored was constantly being slammed throughout meal. Overall will definitely not be coming back.

We have just had the best meal delivered from Maximum Diner. All great quality and of course delicious!

Been here many times before and the kebabs have been ok but today doner was the worst meat i have ever had. I won't be ordering from here again.

Just spent £30 on an inedible chewy filthy kebab which was supposed to be a doner kebab but was basically an uncooked kofte kebab. The website image shows a normal kebab and the menu doesn’t state anywhere that isn’t the case. I phoned to see if it was an error and he told me that’s how we make it it’s very tasty and there’s nothing he could do about it It’s my first time trying the food here and would never again and definitely not reccomend

We love their kebabs (especially the chicken ones) and the fact they come in a nice wrap rather than a pitta. They are always packed full of tasty meat and salad and the chips are proper chunky chip shop chips. We tend to have ours delivered and the food always arrives quickly and hot. The grill meal deal for 2 is good value.

I ordered two portions of small chips during the daytime, and sat down while waiting for them to be cooked. I observed the chips being taken from a bucket, placed in the sink, and then transferred from the sink to the fry basket. I also saw the same sink being used to wash hands afterward. When I received the chips and tried them, they had a very strange taste that I couldn't identify, but it was very unpleasant. I suspect some form of cross-contamination. Additionally, the service was unwelcoming, and I felt like a nuisance for ordering. Avoid!!

You have to make the kebab yourself as they can be bothered it seems. Called to ask for explanation very politely, met with hostility and was referred to leaving review online which seemed strange when they could have just given me an explanation. Shame as all 20 of us in the office are now talking about it. If you want deconstructed kebabs that you have to wrap yourself then order. See photo Real shame

Great kebab place, the chicken kebab is excellent and has large, juicy chunks of meat that are perfectly cooked every time. The chips are also delicious and have been well prepared every time I've visited. The lamb doner is grill-cooked on individual skewers and is really nice and tender. It's different to the "standard" sort of thin-sliced kebab doner meat from one huge piece you often see in other places but is very tasty and cooked to perfection. It also feels like a higher quality of meat to me. The service is always very friendly and the staff always make you feel welcome when you're waiting for your order. Overall I recommend Fish & Grill and always enjoy coming here.

I have never had any issue before. This evening, we had ordered chicken shish kebab;however, I found out that it was a different type of meat after getting home and unwrapping my order which wasn’t very pleasant. I am sorry to write this comment for something very small but I was not able to eat what I had ordered, it’s a waste of money and time. Hopefully, the team would pay attention to orders in the future.
