The 15 best cheap eats in Fleet

Popped in for a burger based on the pics they have online. The menu says they’re handmade to a recipe which to me would mean made on premises with fresh ground beef, and that has a very specific flavour and look. Instead, what I got was a double basic kebab shop burger. It was literally fine, but it’s just not what is advertised and honestly it was too much meat for me to enjoy. I would much rather a smaller, higher quality burger than a hefty basic one. Also £2.50 for a can of coke, come on my dudes. Place itself was good, clean, nice staff, can’t fault that.

We landed up at Gees 2 nights in a row. The first night was for milkshakes and the second for dinner and milkshakes. The food is delicious and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food was eaten too quickly to take a picture 😄

I was looking for a burger joint while I was staying in Fleet and this place popped up on my search. I have been to Fleet many times and skimmed over places like this in the past and what a fool I was as this place is a right little gem. The food is excellent I was after a burger but went for the mixed grill and it did not disappoint I also had one of the delicious shakes to wash it down and that was one of the best shakes I've had in my life my only complaint was I couldn't eat more of the great food. See you next time I am in Fleet 👍

Nice food with authentic looking Greek additions to the menu. Hummus was lovely as was the Greek style bread. Cost wise the Greek style food is £6.50 upwards burgers not far off the same price. Only criticism is lack of knowledge around ingredients in the food so challenging to order if you have good intolerances/allergies.

They currently have an offer on their window display for 50% off chips, we ordered a large chips to takeaway and received half a portion size (see a standard bottle of herbs for scale!). They shouldn’t be allowed to advertise an offer and then reduce the size of the portions!

Stopped in for a quick bite and ordered the chicken and mushroom pie with chips and curry sauce—and I was blown away. The chips were perfectly golden, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, just how they should be. Easily some of the best chips I've had recently. The pie was hearty and full of flavour, and the rich, savoury filling paired perfectly with the buttery pastry. But the real surprise was the curry sauce—thick, fragrant, and just the right amount of heat. It pulled everything together in a way I wasn’t expecting. If you’re craving proper comfort food done right, this combo’s a winner.

The worst place to go for fish and chips in Fleet. The quality of the food isn’t terrible (it certainly isn’t anything special either), but the portions are tiny and the prices are very high. The Flying Fish a few minutes’ walk down the road has better food at lower prices for larger portions, as do the other three fish and chip shops in Fleet / Church Crookham.

The new management in the Fleet branch have turned the quality of fish & chips completely around. If you have not been in there it is definitely worth a visit. The taste of the cod was best I have had in a long time

Always loved picking up fish and chips from here as a treat.. the highlight for me being the curry sauce but I was disappointed today to noticed that you have changed the curry sauce which simply put doesn’t touch the older version.. certainly a let down for me. Apart from that always good service and food.

This is the first time I've tried Churchills since the new owners took over. The food was cooked to perfection, lovely friendly staff, they even gave me a free sample of Onion vinegar which I prefer. Thank you so much the food was delicious. 10 out of 10, 😎

Just had some amazing fish and chips here. New owners are really friendly and chatty. The food was hot and delicious. Definitely recommend.

£11.75 for Grease sodden battered fish and soggy chips. The chip portion appeared smaller than usual too. 3rd visit and the last. I ordered just after opening. Maybe this was the reason(inexcusable) for poor quality serving. With the batter removed, the fish (plaice) tasted really nice. A shame it was ruined by the oily soggy batter and very soft soggy chips. Ate the fish chuck the batter and chips in the bin. Waste of money. I won’t be returning !!

Good quality fish and chips from here. The fish was freshly fried to order and the portion sizes were good for the price. A small cod, small chips and mushy peas cost £9.45. The shop was busy (which is always a good sign) but there wasn’t too long a wait. Nice crisp batter and well cooked cod. The chips were nice and thick and pretty well cooked but could have been a bit crisper being critical. Both were a little greasy but not too bad. Top marks for the packaging with food wrapped in paper and placed in a paper bag, no plastic or polystyrene rubbish here!

Biblical chip shop. Spotless inside, the two young women working today were friendly, and the food is great. Also pleased to see they use Pukka Pies rather than cheaper knock offs!

Best Fish and Chips by far! Chips are crunchy and the fish is beautifully cooked. The service is brilliant and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable! Even when there is a rush, they really take care of their customers which shows massively!

Tried for the first time this week after reading a lot of positive posts on local Facebook pages. Definitely one of the best chippys around. The chips were amazing, batter on the fish was crispy, there was a good amount of salt and vinegar which is great because most places barely put any on. The girl serving was super on the ball and very friendly. The only reason it only got a 4 star not 5 is because of the price. I know chip shops have increasingly high overheads but £35 for 2 small cod and chips, battered sausage and some curry sauce did seem quite on the high side. Also the curry sauce is not great. It's Chinese take away style curry sauce with not the best taste. It needs to be the proper traditional chip shop style curry sauce.

Ordered cod + chips and curry sauce and it was great! Cod was crispy on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside. Chips were nice, clean and crispy and the curry sauce was perfect. Staff are also very friendly and helpful!

Great value food and always tasty, it’s the only place we’ll come for ‘Chinese food’ & the fish and chips are brilliant too. Everything is freshly made and I’m surprised at how good the portions sizes are / how quickly it’s prepared for pickup. It would be great if they did a kids size meal in a special box as we need to go to a separate venue to pick up a separate meal for our toddler (yes I know that sounds ridiculous but it’s a toddlers will)

Amazing freshly cooked to order fish and chips from Ho’s. The best in Fleet (I’ve tried them all). Nice crispy batter on the fish which was well cooked and good quality. And some of the best chips I’ve ever had - nice and thick cut with a crisp outside and soft potato inside, not at all soggy - perfection of the fried potato chip. Fantastic value too. Huge portion of chips and the fish must have looked a bit small so the lady gave me two decent size pieces for the standard regular price. Cod, chips and mushy peas cost £10.10 which is probably the cheapest in town. Friendly efficient service, highly recommended. I will definitely buy from here again.

Friendly staff, orders taken efficiently and takeaway came out very quickly. One observation is that they don't take cards only cash or bank tfr but whilst waiting for food noticed that regulars were fully on board with this arrangement. The portion size was good more than enough for two. Overall excellent food speedy service and friendly staff.

Danny and his team are the best around for Fish & Chips and Chinese food. Personal recommendations would be the Fish & Chips, the squid rings, Singapore noodles and the salt and chilli ribs. All well priced and taste amazing. Best Fish & Chips locally.

Food always great, and happy to make slight adjustments eg make a dish spicy or remove an ingredient. Great option for one is House Special Chow Mein - large portion with mixed meets and around 5 large prawns. Not tried their fish and chips yet.

I got 2 pots of the sweet chilli boneless bites last night to find they used the hot zinger sauce instead. Very big difference in spiciness. My children could not finish their dinner because of the spice.

Ordered using the touchscreen today and forgot to change the drink, when it was ready, I asked if she could change it to a different flavour and she refused as it was already made, the machine is literally right next to her and would have taken her a minute to change my drink. The drink I've got was only 2/3 filled (as pictured) and very small portion of fries. Considering it was around 1:30pm, there were 2 customers and we still had to wait 5-10 mins for the food, the good thing about it is that the food was piping hot, that's good. This branch could do with some freshening up, it looks tired too. Compared to my local (Yateley) branch, this one has a lot to learn about their service.

Clean enough! Fast order! Attentive staff (receipts ran out in one of the ordering kiosks and a worker immediately replaced them). Food was solid - good job guys on the vegan burger thingy. It was yummy! Fries could be crispier :⁠-⁠) but lovely seasoning!

Staff at the Fleet town centre branch need a refresh on their customer service training! Their attitude to the guy in front of me was appalling.

Good god!!! Jam packed, no seats at all (Monday 13:35) even queuing at the self service screens, needless to say long wait for rushed prepped food, hence my burger looks like it's been dropped from the 10th floor!!! Best advice? Go to KFC or Subway.. failing that travel two junctions and use McDonalds just off Motorway (Farnborough retail pk just off Hawley Lane...

As expected at McDonald's, hot food fast service, clean table's.

As a disabled pensioner, I am definitely not the average demographic client of McDonald's. But I have discovered, that my own personal views of this company, were actually, way off. Now, ALL of my visits are between 02:30 and 06:00, so no doubt this will have a bearing on both service and atmosphere. I find the staff here are always ready to help...especially when I forget my glasses and can't see the choices on display. Fleet Services is always busy, but the young employees always insist that I sit down and they bring my selection directly to my table. Now, obviously at 15:45 on a weekday afternoon, you'll likely find families and ultra busy service. But my early morning visits are always a time of quiet restfulness. Free WiFi, free 2 hours parking, super cheap coffee and tea, (collect 6 tokens and get a free coffee). Friendly and welcoming staff. Pay a visit, you might be surprised...I know I was.

Not the best McDonald's ever...people are nice BUT whenever we go here the burgers are cold when we get the,the cheese is absolutely unmelted,if you ask extra shredded lettuce 3 out of 4 times it's missing. I complained a couple of times about it. We got fresh ones,BUT the burger was still cold,the cheese was still unmelted but finally the lettuce was in. So I guess it was the same burger and they just chuck in some lettuce and maybe microwave it for a couple of seconds. I find it quite pathetic when this happens in a quiet time.

Poor hygiene standards at this services. The tables were being cleared but not sanitised by staff. There was far too many people allowed in without masks, no one was stopping them to advise them to wear any. Hope I Don't need these services again.

OMG worst McDonald's ever! Millions of people cueing, screen not working for calling up numbers. Drinks warm by the time you get, also milkshakes run out by the time you pick up. Shocking customer experience, especially when ur heavily pregnant.

The best McDonald's I've ever had, food was fresh perfectly cooked and hot out of the bag. A1 guys send your skillset to all the other mcdonalds out there that still think a burger that tastes a day old with warm chips is good enough.

Am absolutely appalled at the food order we placed tonight. My burger was not cooked pink all through the middle chips were dry and disgusting and onion rings severely over cooked. When I rung to make a complaint to the restaurant they didn’t even care. Said they would ring just eat who we ordered through and no call was ever made when I then contacted just eat who made a full refund. Will never order from here again.

Absolutely brilliant kebabs. I have tasted most of the menu over time, except the fish and would recommend pretty much all of it. The chicken burgers have to be tried - always great quality and size.

called to order some food for me and my little ones and the excuse was that i had to order 45 pounds worth of food. ridiculous and pathetic. very disappointed, especially because it was my first time ordering. not nice at all.

Staff could call out much louder for the order numbers. Could not hear at all due to super busy lunchtime. Instead had to keep an eye on the screen for the order number. Nicely hot and fresh meal.

So, the food is not too bad, but they're open until 11pm and before 10pm they were out of burgers... Chicken place that runs out of chicken... They didn't switch off all the options on their terminals, these were Christmas burgers, we ordered and those were out we were told. Can't remember the last time this outlet served us well 😞 and they closed early too.

Good place lots of food options like Starbucks and all. But in the morning most of the shops are closed.

09/08/25 Waited for kfc to open. My husband ordered on the board as soon as it opened.WE ONLY ORDERED ONE LARGE BOX OF POPCORN CHICKEN- IT TOOK 20 MINUTES BEFORE THE ORDER WAS READY! Larger orders after ours were being presented! ABSOLUTELY NOT IMPRESSED!!!

At 16:30 today, I was served by a nice Indian chap. He got my order right and kindly served us. The place looks clean and they work very efficiently.

Might bucket ordered . Was fine as normal kfc. I like the sitting area. Was 10 of us so nice big table . I often stop there .

It's becoming increasingly hard to find KFC'S worth eating but this is one. It was hot, fresh and tasty. Lost a star for price though

28 pound for two lots of sausage & chips, one regular cod & chips + drinks. Fish tasted of nothing chips were still part frozen raw. Disappointed & disgusted for that price.

Chips tasted funny like oiled not changed in a while and seems pricey tbh

Breakfast was cold and coffees were over full could not get sugar and milk in without spilling everywhere
