The 14 best cheap eats in Tullahoma

Since I'm a Texan, after reading the menu, I felt called out to make a stop to check it out. First thing I noticed: No smell of smoke outside or inside from a smoker. In Texas, I would have given y'all 3 stars for decent BBQ, possibly in my Top 10 around Texas. In Tennessee, 4 stars. It's worth folks stopping in for a bite to eat. The wings were delicious. Also, the ribs are good, and the sweet potato casserole is good. I've never had a potato salad that tasted the way this one does, but it was good. It's made different in Texas (different influence). The Brisket: It was good, a tad bit dry but just about not noticeable. No smoky taste or aroma that I noticed, which is different. Folks should still get some brisket. It's good and tender. The BBQ sauce: Entirely different from Texas BBQ sauce. This was my first Tennessee BBQ sauce experience, so I don't feel I can give an experienced review on it. "Hot" is hotter in Texas. Now, the homemade fried pies. They seemed baked, not fried, but maybe they weren't fried very long. Go ahead and try these out. If the dough were a little thicker, they'd been pretty close to tasting like my great-grandmother's homemade fried pies. They're good. It's definitely a BBQ place to stop in for a visit. Especially if you're Texan. Anyone else, as well.

This place was really cool. The food was great and not gonna lie, you get A LOT of food, so come hungry lol. We couldn't even finish our appetizers, let alone our meals 😋 They had some smoker difficulties and HVAC issues due to some recent changes, but that didn't stop the staff from crushing it.

My uncle and I stopped in for dinner and what we experienced was far beyond dinner. Our waitress was exceptional, very kind, prompt, not lingering but always available. There was a small mixup with one of the sides and she right on it, correcting it. The owner was out on the floor introducing herself and welcoming us (and other customers) to their establishment. Asking us if we had ever been there and everything was to our expectations. She also invited us to the bar side for karaoke after our dinner. We took her up on the offer and we had a blast! This will definitely be a place we return to when we’re back in town.

It is a nice place and our waitress was very nice. The food was delicious.

They call themselves a steakhouse? I ordered the Ribeye “at market price” mind you! I ordered medium rare. The waitress brings it out, and it’s about and inch thick, it’s pretty much well done. I sent it back….terrible! Don’t order the steak!

We love this place. Never disappointed with the food and their alcoholic drinks are actual drinks... Meaning they don't go sparingly on the alcohol. We have only sat in the booths within the bar area and have had the same server each time. Dena is wonderful. She's very friendly, sweet and has the southern hospitality. Definitely recommend this place.

went for the weekend steak special 2 6oz sirloin with foursides for $27. ordered the steak med rare the toughest steak ive ever had !! bake potatoes and roll were good. we ask for a side salad as one of our sides. was given plates and told to fix our salad. was charged a extra 3.99 each for that. a $27 meal turned into a $45 meal !!!

I almost consistently get given different food from what I’ve ordered at the Tullahoma Chick-Fil-A. My most recent order really has me losing trust in this store specifically, because I have not experienced these accidents at any other location. Attached is a photo of the market salad I was given in place of a southwest salad. This CFA needs to do a little better checking their orders, because this is often an issue here and something I have started to expect from this location.

Drive Thru customer. Ordered food and there was silence from the person taking the order. They didn’t ask my name or tell me the total or confirm my order. Waited in silence until I said hello do you need my name? I was ask my order again and told to drive up. I told her my name and proceeded to the pick Up area. My food order was given to me and it felt rushed. When I got home I found the order to be missing an order of waffle fries and missing one dipping sauce. Disappointed and will not be back to this location. Just another fast food restaurant chain providing poor service.

Got nuggets and fries at the drive through. The fries were the best I've ever had in a chick fil a. Fresh, hot and tasty. The nuggets were the worst ever. Stiff, dry and not hot. Almost like they were made much earlier and warmed up in a microwave. The service was friendly and professional.

First impressions the front of the building, the windows, the entryway dirty. My chicken sandwich was not very good. The breading had slid to one end of the chicken so when they deep fried it it made it extremely crunchy on one side and just blah on the other. Also the restroom was disgusting. Probably the worst restroom I've seen at a Chick-fil-A.

Food is always delicious and the people are always friendly. The chicken is the best in the world. Would definitely recommend this place for people who like nice people and good food.

Messed up my order twice, then had to refund it. Taking “ up to 7 days to return to my account “ waited for 15 minutes then told to pull over to the side and waited 10 more minutes worst experience I’ve ever had at chik-fil-a

Very smoothly ran Chick Fil A. Two lines going at all times, which is needed due to the large amount of traffic. Two lines ans they could use a few more. Service is always great and food is chock fil a yummy! Their sweet tea and crusbed ice is the best!!!

I used the Wendy's app (which in itself is a badly designed app) to order ahead. I arrived at the restaurant, which had a long line of patrons waiting to order food or waiting for their food order. I waited until the staff took care of the people in front of me, then explained that I was there for my app order. I failed to check in when I first pulled into the parking lot, so that's on me, but checking in inside should be no different than checking in outside in my vehicle. 15 minutes later, I received my food order. Burgers were okay but could have been much better. Food quality made it hard to believe everything was made fresh daily. Fries were half and half. Half full-length fries. Half broken up small bits of hard old fries. The food was not even warm by the time I made the 5-minute drive back to work. The employees at Wendy's were doing the best they could and stayed polite as they looked to be short-handed. I would understand the long waiting times had the food been hot and all of it edible. This is far from a "fast food" restaurant.

This is the third straight time I have had a terrible experience here. This time we even used the online app. Still had to pull up and waiting and use the window and AGAIN it takes over 15 minutes to get my food. As I am typing this I see an employee hanging out in the lobby goofing off with two men instead of getting people their food in a timely matter. I don’t understand how this place stays functioning with the lack of customer service they provide

Don't get anything here. They are incapable. You order a burger, they give you the wrong burger. You order regular nuggets, they give you spicy. You order chili, they don't give you any crackers or a spoon. You ask for sauce, they don't give it to you. You order a potato, they don't give you butter or sour cream. They are terrible. I'm gonna be telling people to avoid this Wendy's. Don't even give them a chance to mess up your order, because it's a guarantee that they will get your order wrong.

So I came in with my family, two kids was 5 years old and 4 years old. The female that took my order and we sat down. When they called out our order I turned to my other half and I said I think that is ours. The female young adult rudely responded “Yeah that’s you.” The two female workers was rude. The napkins tray was empty in the lobby area. I went to ask for some and the worker’s tone when she respond back was not customer friendly, at all! While we were beginning to eat, a female came out and directly went to our table to start to sweep, but one of my kids dropped a sock and she waited for her to pick up her sock so she can sweep. I was ready to hurry up and eat and leave. There is just not enough words to express my unpleasant experience at this location.

Went to drive thru, 7:45 pm on Friday night. One of the obvious reason for drive thru is quick service. I was told it would be a 15 minute wait for hamburger meat! WTH! They advertise that Wendy's beef is fresh, never frozen. Unless they keep it in a time lock safe, why would I have to wait 15 minutes for hamburger meat? Was going to change order to chicken, was told that would be 10 minutes. Don't know what the hell is going on there, but it sure isn't customer service. Very disappointed in this "fast" food restaurant. Would love a response from management.

I mobile ordered right outside at parking lot, within about 5 minutes I received my food. I believed they were pre-made and been sitting for a while. My favorite is the spicy chicken nuggets and I preferred fresh ones.

Manager in tullahoma is a smart ass and driven through personal. If you don't want to turn the fryers on take the nuggets of the menu or make people aware at the drive through instead of saying you don't have salad and bacon say chicken nuggets ain't there as well miss smart ass manager!! Plain with cheese mean plain with cheese that's why yall need minimum wage not a fn penny more!

This is hands down the best Fazoli’s that exists today. If they ever go out of business they need to close every store and lien out this store for someone to keep. I get launched back into the mid 2000s era quality of food here. If you have ever been upset by quality at any fazolis, STOP HERE AND GET ANYTHING. Keep this gem alive. Signed - Matt

Food was absolutely delicious! I'd never eaten at this restaurant before and was very impressed!

Tables were wiped but sticky. Ordered ultimate sampler and the meatballs were overcooked with no seasoning, penne was extremely overcooked and lasagna was dry and looked old. Bread wasn’t ready with the meal and there was no freshly grated Parmesan cheese. I use to enjoy coming here but it has gone way down hill in a short amount of time. Probably won’t be back unless something seriously changes.

Food is hot and fresh the staff is absolutely fantastic this is our second time here and it's always excellent food and service.🍝😁

I got the baked lasagna was very disappointed it was on the salty side the pasta needed to be cooked a little longer I do like my pasta on the al denti side but this really needed to be cooked a little more there was hardly any ricotta between layers and it was very dry. The bread sticks were soft and hardly had any garlic taste to them.

Ok, I'll have to give them a bit of credit I did show up with the entire boys high school soccer team! 15 minutes to close at 10. Took our orders and money then said we had to take it to go. We mostly ate there anyway since it took them so long. I don't put much weight in a store full of teenagers telling me to leave while the store is open just so they can go home and play video games. Do your job.

Came here tonight and was disgusted. The fries were barely cooked. I mean look at the seasoning threw on there. My daughter got maybe 5 fries with her meal so I gave her one of my chicken strips. They gave us a single sauce for 4 meals. And when asked for more sauce, they told us they were in the boxes when they most definitely weren’t. The lady threw our food on the counter. When we walked up to even order, the kid at the front looked at me and said alright. No “what can I get you” nothing, just “alright” not impressed and won’t be back.

Would not go anytime soon ordered chicken bacon ranch fries and got no seasoning on the fries, chicken barely cut, and it's just a piece of bacon.. nothing chopped. I asked for extra seasoning and sauce got nothing and 0 utensils or napkins.. guess everyone took the day off making my food

I haven’t been able to get a meal in the drive thru without waiting at least 20-30 min. I was giving them another try but not again . The owner may need help training or finding good help . The owner may be the problem but either way they need help . I will not return .

This location is in desperate need of training. Our family loves Zaxbys, but this location in Tullahoma is not good. Every single time we order food the staff is extremely annoyed and rude, the chicken is burnt like the oil hasn't been changed for a very long time. It tastes like burnt plastic almost. We spent $51.00 on our order that was so disgusting we had to go somewhere else because we didn't want to deal with the unacceptable customer service. Whoever owns this Zaxbys doesn't care at all because this has been going on for years and there has been zero change. I'm not the only one that feels this way, this location is infamous for bad food and horrible service. Avoid this location because they are not interested in improvement. CHANGE YOUR FRYER OIL!

Dirty, sticky tables, dirty bathrooms. Ordered 10 strips sauced, got 8, with barely any sauce. They gave us two more but they just weren't very good.

My grilled Cobb salad came and the chicken was raw on the inside, there was no boiled eggs or bacon. We had to go get a new salad.

Manager on duty had very positive and professional attitude. The sandwich was stacked with ingredients and delicious. The number 12 (Cancro Special).

Came in around 8 and Ricky was so friendly and nice! My friend mentioned to me that she had never had red wine vinegar and without skipping a beat he put some in a sauce cup for her to try. He also made me sandwich perfectly!! One of the best Jersey Mikes Sandwiches I’ve had. Super personable and kind guy. I could tell he actually cared about his customers and wanted to make sure we enjoyed the experience.

My Husband and I took our 2 sons today for lunch.. we absolutely loved the sandwiches.. the staff were very awesome! they had such a positive attitude and were very polite and helpful.. (they didn't even mind our rowdy starving boys😆).. my husband has decided this is his favorite place to eat now..

We have lots of sandwich choices in town now but Jersy Mike's is consistently our choice. We always order for pick-up. The food is always ready on time, the order is always correct, and it always taste great. Keep up the good work Jersey Mikes :-)

We came in roughly 10 minutes before they closed after getting off of work. Harlin & Jesse were amazing & full of good, positive energy. Harlin welcomed us the second we walked through the door and promised us we were getting good subs tonight. Boy did we. Everything was made quickly and fresh. The service and subs were amazing! Will absolutely be a returning customer.

I had a really great experience today when going in and picking up food. Customer service was great. They were quick and efficient, and I really appreciate how friendly the employees were! Great change of pace, compared to previous visits!

The service was excellent. I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name that made our sandwiches and made sure to tell us to have a good day as we left but he was amazing. In my honest opinion that was the best Jersey Mike’s sandwich I have ever had. The oil and vinegar was done exactly how I like it and I didn’t even tell him. If you want excellent customer service and an excellent sandwich you should definitely check them out!

This was one of the weirdest meals I’ve ever eaten…My boyfriend and I wanted to try this place for the first time and when we asked what kind of fish they use, one employee said “white fish” and another said “regular fish”. That made me look it up myself and it’s allegedly Alaskan pullock if anyone is also curious. The guy behind the register told my boyfriend he could get 2 sides, so he ordered two, then come to find out we were charged for one. Both soda fountains had to have the syrups swapped, there was a bed of crumbs under my fish??, I was supposed to get 6 pieces of shrimp and got 5, it looked like a bite was taken from one of my hush puppies, there was a lettuce stem in my boyfriends sandwich, his fries were sitting in grease, and that extra side we didn’t know was extra was $4 for a tiny scoop of mac and cheese!! The food was very bland and even the tartar sauce didn’t really have a flavor. The only flavor I got from my whole meal was the old batter on the fish…It’s sad when the sides are better than the entrees. It was also very pricey ESPECIALLY for what you get! There was only one other table with people at it and it was very unwarming/unwelcoming inside. We had to pay over $30 for just the two of us to not even like what we got.

I got the lobster bites and fish dinner. I was pretty disappointed. The lobster bites were over done and the 1 piece of fish was soggy. Their quality has gone down in the last few years.

I ordered the Giant Fish Sandwich but was given 2 other pieces of fish on a bun. I know this isn't what I ordered, and the employees know this isn't the correct fish. Thanks for pushing your old fish on me instead of making what I ordered. It's just the nudge I needed to never return again.

Tables where dirty then they bring us out ice cold fries and this was suppose be a kids meal for my granddaughter it barely had meat in it this place is really going down hill

This used to be a great store but tonight on Saturday September 18th at Tullahoma tn location we wasn't aware they were closing at 7pm no biggie I waited in line I know atleast 10 mins yet again no problem with that. The guy gave me my food and I get home open everything up getting ready to have a great meal and..................the fries were hard as a rock, hush puppies were so rubbery and the fish was rubbery and not to mention redipped to reheat so they didn't have to cook again. I called the store the lady manager that answered off the rip had an attitude and was quick to tell me I was wrong,that she cooked it fresh. In order to even attempt to eat it I had to put it in my air fryer to somewhat revive this crop. I understand being short handed but come on now. Get it together cause we love captain ds.

Todays old cold fish was being served and it was bad. Ordered 3 piece fish meal and fish was room temp (pretty sure there are regulations on this) and fries were cold. Definitley leftover food from yesterday. Tullahoma Health department needs to give this place a visit. It has really gone down hill. Ended up throwing it away and leaving, 15.00 down the drain. Didn't feel like complaining to the understaffed people working there.

Worse experience all together I've ever had in a fast food restaurant no one knew what they were doing the girl kept saying she didn't know what she was doing and that no one would help, they didn't even give her a shirt when she started she was wearing street clothes and was overwhelmed and sassy

Who made the biscuits? Ellie Mae Clampett? I dropped the biscuit on the floor on the way to the trash and it broke. I'm tired of working hard and go for a quick meal to be served garbage like the biscuits. It is not hard to tell they have been held too long and to throw them out and make more!!!! The mac and cheese was too thick and pasty. Shout out to Chic Fil A they deliver quality every time. KFC take notes.

Terrible food was terrible cold chicken and overcooked and fries are cold to hard as a rock biscuit and mashed potatoes were like concrete and so was macaroni and cheese it all seemed like it had been sitting there since 10 this morning at we ate 2. Terrible will not be back and it will be shut down with the way they run this place will not be back.

Ordered online was told to pick up at 340 pm I got there at 345 I stood at the counter for another 7 minutes listening to the workers cut up in the cooking area didn’t know I was in the building. I cleared my throat 1,2amd the 3rd time the girl came to the counter and told me chicken would not be ready for another 14 plus minutes. I said why would I get told to pick it up at 340? Shrugged her shoulders went back to my car to wait I’m still here at 410 not ready yet.

I went through the drive thru and order two 4piece chicken fingers meal. I wanted 10 mins in the drive thru then was told to pull around to the pick up spot for food to come out. Then I waited 15 more mins before going in asking if they had forgotten about my order they said we are working on it. I went back to the car 5 mins later a lady came out handed me the food as I tried to ask the lady a question she just walked off not thinking and aggravated for the long wait I went back to work. Once I pulled the food out I wanted to throw up the chicken was like rubber and two different colors it was not hot I could tell it had been siting in a warmer for a long time and the sides were incorrect. I went back to KFC and asked for fresh food or was all the chicken this way . I expressed to the cashier that if all the chicken looked and was this way I prefer a refund unless they could makes fresh hot chicken tenders the guy responded back with a let me check. I already knew it wouldn't be any better has he spoke to another employee he reached in the warmer and brought me two chicken tenders that I didn't even have to touch or look at for long to see all the issues with the chicken it was red meat and slimy and cold and I told him absolutely not I want money back the manger Brittany never came over to talk or assist as the manger she stayed in the conner and listened from the window witch i felt was very unprofessional as a manger to not help with the issues or resolve it.

I went through the drive thru. I ordered 3 famous bowl meals, 2 pcs meal, boneless strips meal and 7 pcs meal deal for $20. I paid for what I thought I ordered. I got home to find out I got everything meal wise and only 7 pcs of chicken. I called the local KFC and ask her why I only got 7 pcs and not side. She began to say “well what did you order, it should be on your receipt “ while I searched for receipt, she began to read off what was on the receipt. What she said was that they gave me what I paid for. I said wait I’m confused. I ordered a 7 pcs chicken with 2 lg sides and 4 biscuits for $20. Why are you saying I only was charged $10 for the 7 pcs meal. When I tried to ask a question she rudely cut me off and began to repeat her self. I told her I ordered a 7 pcs and ask to get dark meat instead of any white meat. She then says did you say you wanted the one with the side or just the chicken. I said well it wasn’t on your menu as with or without sides, also the lady that took my order did not ask if I wanted the one with or without sides. Then I ask “ how would I know that yall have 3 7 pcs options, on account of no one ask if I wanted the sides. How can yall expect me to know that you offer it if I’m not ask if I want it or not”. The lady I was on the phone with never apologized for not explaining everything so that I knew my options so I can actually get what I wanted. Now my kids don’t have sides with their meal because no one ask me if I wanted side or not, they just assumed I didn’t want it and run a hundred miles with it. This KFC need to hire people that will inform the customer of what’s offered to insure they customer is happy, and gets what they want! I am beyond upset with them!

ordered a special 16-piece bucket with a coupon only to find some wings at the bottom were so small you'd need a microscope to see them. Don't waste your time at this KFC, its pretty bad.

Kfc needs to go ahead and shut down some locations. Tullahoma location used to be good now it's garbage. The chicken sandwich was breading and tough and the chicken was so dried out I couldn't eat it. The bread looked like it had been sweating in the paper. The fries looked like they soaked up all the grease. The only thing I could eat was the plain nuggets. The soda was good also. I spent $12.01 for a 5 piece nugget and med soda because everything else wasn't edible.

We stopped in for lunch and we were the only customers. I had 1/2 rack of ribs with baked beans and slaw, corn bread. These were not good ribs. Fatty, not much seasoning, and definitely not worth the money I paid. The slaw was simply made with vinegar and some sugar mixture poured over cabbage. No spices added to that. The baked beans tasted like Van Camps canned beans. I like Van Camps but not at a BBQ restaurant. The corn bread was very dry! I would not recommend this place to anyone. One more item, my buddy got a pork sandwich with an orange soda. According to him, it was one of the worst sandwich he ever tried. He threw half of it away. The orange drink tasted like soda water. No or very little orange syrup mixed in.

Food is okay, prices are good… service though… definitely could use some work. We’ve had to go back a couple times for things that were forgotten and the last few times we’ve tried to go the place has been closed during business hours. No one answers the phone either.

Went for lunch since my usual place is closed on Mondays. Next time I'll just wait. The bbq has coleslaw on it and that's not advertised anywhere, so I couldn't eat half of my sandwich. The sauce is very obviously not homemade. The baked beans are also obviously canned. The pork was good, though the portions for the price was small I felt. Overall I wouldn't suggest unless you just really want bbq. Service was great and quick.

This isn’t the first time we’ve had a bad experience with this location. First of all, they hardly ever answer the phone. Secondly, the bbq baked potatoes are barely cooked, very crunchy and not edible. Whitts has gone seriously downhill. Was going to call to tell them this but they didn’t answer so I’ll voice my complaint here.

I live in Michigan and every time I come down to Manchester Tennessee to visit my in-laws I always go to wits for barbecue the coleslaw is the best I've ever had I wish I knew how to make it

I had the pulled pork plate. The meat was very good. It came with 2 sides, I ordered the green beans and potato salad. It also comes with choice of bread or cornbread. I had the cornbread. This was my first visit to this bbq restaurant. I always try the potato salad wherever I go. I took it to go, I live about 15 min away. I got home, and was disappointed to find I received the cole slaw instead of the potato salad. The cole slaw had a tart vinegar flavor. Not my favorite, but it was ok. The cornbread and green beans were good. Overall I would go again.

I’ve been eating here for years and I’ve never had a bad experience. Food has always been hot and delicious, and the staff is friendly.

The Burger King in Tullahoma Tn used to be my favorite burgers spot and now for the last atleast 10 months it has completely plummeted. Everything I go my order is ill prepared and wrong. When I say something to management I get disrespected because they messed up. Today I got the Smokehouse whopper which is a good $10 and I ask for no lettuce is all. I get home and not only is there lettuce there is no A1 steak sauce and the tomatoes look like they have already been chewed on. I put BBQ sauce on it and let it go. Needless to say I definitely will not be spending anything with this Burger King.

We went through the drive through Saturday for a quick bite. We ordered what we wanted, and our server, MJ, put the order in so we got it a little cheaper. When we got to the window he was in a great mood and his customer service was amazing. Food was good, but the service was excellent!

Best Burger King I've been to. John the manager there always goes above and beyond when I come through and I always have a great time with some good food. 11/10

A worker had apparently brought their child to work and was standing him on a table, allowing him to push around a trash can through the restaurant. She never even attempted to stop him, if not bad enough she never cleaned off the table where she had stood him. Can’t believe the health rating was a 96, WOW. Pics to follow. I think it's the men who work this restaurant that make it so consistently poor. I have been t9 plenty of BK consequently ran by women who pride themselves on food and service. There is always some type of problem with the service quality and food quality here and oftentimes I think it is done purposefully to certain type of customers. Food cold. Service lackluster. They will tell you the food is fresh or hot. But it never is. Just a lie. Oftentimea closed at odd hours. I miss HWy 55. I hope we get a Whataburger or In and Out in it's place. For quality hamburgers go to Sonic. Get the smashburger. Edit* I submitted a corporate feedback but this can be salvaged with a few tweaks in service and food quality. I am a 30 yr BK veterans 😆

The manager, Alexis was very rude and sarcastic. After receiving my food I asked an other employee for ketchup. Then Manager said very sarcastically " i put some in the bag, IF YOU LOOKED in it." from behind the other employee. Well it doesn't matter if I look in it or not. I was asking for ketchup. I wasn't rude or nasty, I was simple asking for ketchup. The manager could of said "ma'am I did put some ketchup in the bag." Simple as that! its just poor customer service, especially coming from a manager.

I rated this location a five star a couple of years ago during COVID and have left it at the bottom of this updated rating. Our orders were taken fairly quick with a number issued for pickup when called. Took the order to the table and it was missing condiments we asked for. There was hardly any lettuce or tomatoes on our three junior whoppers and the smallest amount of meat that we have ever seen. "Where's the beef?". The fries were also very small shares and not very hot. Pictures of the burgers attached along with partial receipt. SADLY the place was almost empty! March 30, 2023 Nice fast food served hot. The flame broiled burgers and hot fries are always good as is the service at this location. Was able to sit inside at clean tables where social distancing is practice during this 2020 COVID-19 pandemic!
