Moroccan restaurant
Restaurant Bab Ssour is a charming eatery located in Chefchaouen, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant caters to both meat-eaters and vegans, with options like vegetable tagine, sandwiches, and root vegetable soup. The friendly staff are known for their hospitality and the owner is happy to recommend the best dishes of the day. Guests can enjoy their homemade Moroccan cuisine in a cozy indoor area or opt for rooftop dining with stunning city views.
A peasant meal and evening at Bab Ssour While exploring the distinctive blue streets of Chefchaouen, finding Bab Ssour was a pleasant discovery. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The staff were notably friendly. Their welcome felt sincere, contributing to a comfortable sense of hospitality that set a positive tone for the meal. Simple things like the menu in multiple languages added to the experience. Choosing from the menu was made easier by the helpful staff at Bab Ssour. When I mentioned I was unsure what to order, they took the time to discuss the options and offered good recommendations based on my preferences. It was clear they knew their menu well and aimed to ensure guests had a rich experience. The food itself was very good. Following their suggestions, we enjoyed Moroccan flavours. The dishes tasted fresh and seemed carefully prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed Baisara, Lentil soup and the Moroccan mint tea. The goat tagine was tender and well-spiced. We capped the meal with their delicious yoghurt as dessert (caveat: it was very sweet, but we decided are on a holiday). For those seeking good, authentic Moroccan food served by welcoming staff who make you feel comfortable, Bab Ssour is a solid choice. It's certainly a great choice if you're in the area.

Amazing fresh fish! The mixed seafood plate is something special - you can tell everything is perfectly cooked and really fresh. The chef knows what they're doing. Plus, the view from their terrace is absolutely beautiful. Will definitely be back!
Oussama S — Google review
This was day #4 in Morocco, so far the best food we’ve had. I ordered lamb tagine and my husband had beef one…wowww. First time, we didn’t have to add salt and pepper to feel the flavors. And the grand finale: the Moroccan yogurt ( black berry jam, dates syrup, and polen) absolutely stunning.
Adriana R — Google review
What an amazing place!!! We wallows in authentic Moroccan dar which is decorated with authentic carpets and decorations. Waiter was so funny and polite made us feel at home. Food was to die for! Lots of vegan options like white beans soup, chickpeas, lentils. We were very guli and happy!
Diana S — Google review
Amazing atmosphere and truly authentic dishes. If you visit, make sure to come on a Friday, the couscous with lamb and vegetables was the best we had during our entire trip around Morocco. We can’t stop telling everyone about this wonderful restaurant
Daria P — Google review
The best local food I’ve had in Morocco. The bean soup is fantastic and the goat in my tagine was falling off the bone (and definitely not microwaved unlike other establishments). Clientele was a mix of locals and tourists but definitely not a touristy restaurant. Very friendly service. Dinner for three of us was less than MAD250 which was a bargain.
Richard M — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely recommended! We had a really cozy evening at Bab Ssour. The atmosphere inside is warm and welcoming — you immediately feel at home. We ordered a mixed starter plate with four different small dishes: pumpkin, zucchini, taktouka, and another vegetable salad. Unfortunately, the mallow leaves weren’t available since they’re out of season, but everything else was super tasty! For the main courses, we tried three different tagines: my girlfriend had the anchovy tagine, I had the Kefta tagine – the grandmother’s recipe (on the chef’s recommendation), and we also shared a chickpea dish. I’m usually vegetarian, but I made an exception for the Kefta — and it was totally worth it! Everything was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and felt very authentic. The chef was incredibly charming and friendly, taking the time to explain the dishes and make us feel welcome. The prices were also great — we paid around 170 dirhams for three mains, one starter plate, and drinks. There’s also a rooftop terrace where you can sit outside, but it was a bit too cold that evening, so we stayed inside. Overall, a wonderful experience — highly recommended!
Lennart G — Google review
This place was super popular w/ tourists as we had to wait in a short line before being seated. Upon entering, the place is hectic. It's very large w multiple levels for seating and extremely noisy. We shared a large table w/ another couple. In addition, the waiter was initially rude, inattentive and the kitchen was out of several dishes. Furthermore, the dishes came out @ random times w my appetizer being served before my entree and our drinks not being served until after we finished our meal. The food was solid and extremely cheap. We paid the equivalent of $14 for 2 starters, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts. 1 fast food meal in the U.S. costs more than that so that's definitely a good thing. I'd recommend this place as other patrons seemed to have a better go of it.

Pizza restaurant
Mandala is a popular restaurant in Chefchaouen, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional Moroccan cuisine with its menu of Italian favorites. Located near Outa Hammam square, it's known for its range of pizzas, pastas, salads, and small meat section featuring hamburgers and chicken dishes. The tempting dessert menu includes fruit, ice cream, and chocolate fondue. Owned by the Triana restaurant family, Mandala is praised for its delicious food and welcoming staff.
Very good pizza place right outside the medina - nice staff, good offers, a lot of choices and a good food quality! Definitely worth a visit if you fancy some non Tajine food.
Anja L — Google review
Food was pretty good but not outstanding. The mushrooms on the pizza we ate tasted like they were from a can (when the menu said "fresh mushrooms"). Otherwise the food was good but just nothing to write home about.
Eli N — Google review
google maps info says they close at 2am, i arrived at 11pm and the waitress said they are closed, was kinda rude too the other guy working there is very nice tho, pointed me to another nearby restaurant
Najmeddine D — Google review
Had pizza and pasta vegetarian, they made it exactly the way we asked for customizations. It was very authentic and delicious. The staff was warm welcoming and greeted well. Must go if you are in pearl city.
POOJA P — Google review
Bad service, utensils were dirty with food. Portions were comically small and the price doesn't even compensate for it. One of the worst experiences around Chefchaouen.
André S — Google review
Very poor management, though their food is average in taste. Staff overcharged us and when we mentioned them they just put their hands up and did not apologise for their behaviour.”If you are tourist make sure u double check your bill before you pay”
Dipal K — Google review
My last experience was very bad We were a group of 16 people The service was very slow I wasn’t satisfied of the behavior of the server and the dishes was not as expected
Abdelilah F — Google review
Very delicious food, good quality and reasonable prices. Home delivery is possible and the resturant is situated in the middle of the old and the new medina. Orders can be done through Whatsapp with cash pay by delivery and they have very good service. The staff Saad is very passioned about the work and gets everything, literally everything you need and want done fast and perfect and understands perfect English. This resturant is worth a try only for the service and the lovely staff. But do seriously try some of the most delicious italian food here! My favourite is Lasagna Bolognese!!! Thank you Mandala resturant and Saad!!! <3

Located in the famous Outa el Hammam square, Restaurant Morisco is a top dining spot in Chefchaouen. It offers a variety of Moroccan and international dishes, including the local breakfast favorite ftour beldi. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, guests can enjoy delicious meals while taking in the lively atmosphere of the square. The restaurant provides comfortable seating for family or friends gatherings and features an elegant ambiance with attentive staff.
Located in the main square and amongst many other restaurants we were glad we tried this restaurant. We sat up stairs which offered excellent views. The service was excellent and food very promptly delivered. The food had excellent flavours and very fresh and well cooked. A very enjoyable experience.

Had a great time at Restaurant Morisco in Chefchaouen! The pina colada and strawberry mojito were refreshing, and the tagine viande hachée, pastilla de poulet, and Moroccan salad were full of authentic flavors. Cozy rooftop vibes and friendly service made it even better!
Ajinkya W — Google review
This restaurant is amazing, the view on the Kasaba was just stunning, the food was also great even though it was a little bit cold when they served it to us. Overall, i recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a delicious meal with an amazing view.

The service is quick and neat! Staffs are super friendly and helpful. The food are tasty with wide varieties. Our group enjoyed a nice lunch here.
Angus Y — Google review
The food was great and the service as well. Top location with really beautiful terrace at the top. However, in the beginning the waiter told us we can pay with a card, after we specifically asked for payments with card and in the end it turned out a lie. So beware of that, the rest was great.

Good food and wasn’t pricey plus the atmosphere was serene

I loved the experience so much. The service and food were amazing. I would recommend this place to any visitor to Chefchaouen because it deserves all the love and appreciation 🫶❤️
Houssine H — Google review
Ordered Chicken tagine with olives and lemon; chicken was leathery and hard, very little lemon flavour. Service was just sad. Finished by ordering Moroccan tea and instead of a pot, glass and sugar cubes as I expected, I got the glass - see picture. Only 15 Durham but I can get it at my riad for that price and it’s really nice there. They deliver it to your table and pour it! Overall not great value (just under 100 Durham) and disappointing food. Won’t be back.

Cafe Clock in Chefchaouen is a hidden gem located on Rue El Kharrazin, just a short walk from the main square of the medina. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring Moroccan and Western dishes, including delicious burgers and vegan-friendly options like vegetable tagine and root vegetable soup. With its cozy ambiance, friendly staff, and reasonable prices, Cafe Clock is highly recommended for both lunch and dinner. Visitors can also enjoy the beautiful roof terrace while savoring their meals.
this place is so coooollll!!! highly recommended if you go to Chefchaouen. It might be packed but staffs will manage to help you with the table. People said the best orange juice is found in Chefchaouen and I agree. I tried it at the Clock, and it was so so good. Remember to try the Clock fried chicken, it goes with sweet potato and sweet chilli sauce, this is the best. We ordered the Chefchaouen plate as with, with many items in one, suit with those who wanna try many dishes. The price could be higher than other places, but still makes sense with the quality.
Chloe N — Google review
I really like this place and we went there on two occasions. The first just for drinks, and the second for dinner. When we went there for dinner, it was quite busy, and it took over half an hour to get our order. We ordered their signature camel burger and platter. The burger was ok, lacked seasoning, and the meat was a bit dense. Tasted a bit like a homemade burger with store bought minced meat. The platter with zaalouk, sweet potatoes, and briowat was good, especially the sweet potatoes. For dessert we got the Almond Cake, which was a bit dense, I've had better. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with live music. Service was very friendly.
Fuad T — Google review
Had a great experience here for lunch. They have multiple floors with seating available. We sat on the terrace which provided beautiful views of the city below. The staff was attentive and checked on us frequently. The mint lemonade was refreshing and so tasty. The fries were cooked well and crispy. The Chaouen platter was beautifully plated. Each dip tasted flavorful and delicious, the sweet potato was so good as well. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall everything was better than expected. I'll definitely be back while in Chefchaouen.
Sam D — Google review
If I could rate the service higher, I would. All the servers were so kind to us - especially one whose name I have forgotten. Who was kind enough to always bring us extra dressing, gave us a free drink and brought us a complimentary cheesecake one night. We ate here about 9 times for breakfast and dinner, and in that only had one breakfast that wasn't great. The ambiance of the music and the setting is magical and the guests are often more talkative than other dinner spots. Definitely a favourite in Chefchaouen 😘💙🩵
Izz — Google review
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! We did the cooking class and it was one of the top ten experiences I’ve had. You choose your menu (from a large list of choices) that includes a salad, a soup, a main, and a dessert - all traditional Moroccan! Then you take a walk through the souk to shop for all of the ingredients you’ll need. Our chef/tour guide Yassine taught us words for the foods in Darija, he taught us about the history/culture, and we even sampled a few items! Back in the kitchen he walked us through all the recipes; made us a fun traditional smoothie, and we helped cook everything. We ate our HUGE and delicious meal; and boy was it incredible! Yassine and all of the staff members at Cafe Clock went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and appreciated. I would highly, highly, highly recommend making this a stop if you come through the area.
Allyson G — Google review
Stopped by Café Clock while exploring Chefchaouen and it was a great experience. The camel burger was tasty and surprisingly tender, and the rooftop terrace has one of the nicest views in town. Staff were warm, service was relaxed but attentive, and the café has a creative, welcoming vibe. Perfect place to take a break after wandering the blue alleys. Definitely worth a stop if you’re curious about trying camel in a comfortable setting.
Ling — Google review
Fun, touristy spot in Chefchaouen. Food was good - although we ordered the felafel bowls which on the menu says comes with hummus but it was definitely more of an eggplant dip instead. Many in the group got the camel burger which was well received. Live music on the roof and they even let members of our group have a go on the guitar! Fun experience overall

Great place in the Medina to have a quick pitstop for a drink in the beautiful rooftop terrace. We didn’t had food but what we saw on the other tables looked pretty good. Especially the pancakes

The staff was professional and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it to all visitors to the blue city.

The food tastes incredibly delicious — just like homemade. Even the bread tastes like the kind we used to bake at home, not the usual bakery bread. It has the same flavor as the bread my grandmother used to make long ago. The place is very clean, and the service is polite and courteous.
Yassin R — Google review
The food is absolutely delicious! The place is very clean, and the staff are super nice and helpful. The prices are really affordable for the quality you get. I went there for three days in a row and ate there each time — that says a lot!

Delicious food, we had tajine and couscous. The flavours were delicious. Service was slightly slow on the drinks but the calm serene atmosphere didn’t make it a bother.

What a wonderful place to dine. We spent two full days in Chefchaouen and came here on 3 separate occasions. We tried couscous, vegetarian tagine, chicken tagine, kofta tagine and numerous juices during our visits. Staff are friendly and attentive, and meals are freshly cooked. I highly recommend!!

It was nice - we had the veg cous cous and veg tagine. The cous cous wasn't really flavoured but the tagine was nicely cooked in a little sauce. Not as much sauce as other places we had been though. Juices were lovely and fresh and the staff and atmosphere was really nice.

Chinese restaurant
La Petite Chengdu is a Chinese eatery that specializes in traditional Szechuan cuisine. The ambiance of the establishment is described as contemporary and stylish, featuring an exposed kitchen where patrons can observe their meals being prepared. The menu offers an extensive range of dishes, catering to various preferences with both spicy and non-spicy options. This restaurant stands out among others due to its authenticity, even though the chef is not Chinese.
Great food and service! Excellent change of pace after a week of wonderful Moroccan food. Authentic and very yummy!
Rich A — Google review
Having reviewed other comments from previous customers, we were worried about the standard of the food and the slow service without any English. In reality, the staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English, and the food was served within 15 minutes (although we were the only customers at 5pm). The food itself was good enough for Chinese in Morocco. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice, fried noodles with vegetables and vegetable spring rolls. Would recommend.
William C — Google review
from XiaoHongShu. As a Chinese diner, I was initially very excited, but the experience turned out to be disappointing. Here’s what we ordered: • 口水雞 (Spicy Chicken): Not recommended. • 蔥油雞 (Scallion Oil Chicken): Decent flavor, reminiscent of a homemade dish. • 揚州炒飯 (Fried Rice): The rice seemed locally sourced, resulting in a chewy texture and rather bland taste. • 土豆絲 (Shredded Potato): Overly salty. After mentioning it to the waiter, they provided a replacement that was slightly better. • Prawn Dumplings: Surprisingly, shockingly poor. We expected frozen quality, like those from Chinese supermarkets, but it was worse—the skin was thick, and the shrimp inside was tiny (more like dried shrimp 蝦米仔). • 水煮牛肉 (Boiled Beef in Chili Oil): This dish felt more like boiled beef in red oil than an authentic spicy beef dish. While I genuinely want to support Chinese restaurants abroad and understand the limited options, you’re likely better off trying the local cuisine. The only positive was the complimentary fruit platter at the end.
C C — Google review
The portion is gigantic. I ordered Chicken Fried Rice and Mushroom Salad. The rice used is sticky rice instead of the usual jasmine rice, so it's really chewy, slightly sweet, and the big portion doesn't help my case in finishing the food. They take card payment so that's a plus point.
Suciani A — Google review
Beef noodles soup was excellent but the fat was more dominant than beef but its not a big deal. Dumplings very good and cheap compared to other chinese restaurant in chefchaouen I would recommand it
Mohammed S — Google review
Giving 6 stars for this place! 5 for the food and the 6th star for the Moroccan staff who speaks mandarin! Dragged my friend to this place and we ordered beef dumplings, spicy boneless chicken, fried tomato egg, and fried rice), they are all holy delicious except the fried rice could have been more fried/drier/wok-y, having grown up in malaysia I’d say the food is legit! Have been travelling in Morocco for 3 weeks and missing variation of flavour and spice! This place can defi add more colours and comfort to your trip * cryyy 🥹🫶🏼💙💙 also this is my second visit , first visit I ordered beef noodle soup it was great! See photos

A delightful and quite tasty dinner tonight. Nice change to enjoy new flavors of Szechuan Chinese cooking in Morocco. Beef noodle soup to start. Awesome. Nice rest. Then garlic green beans, sautéed shrimps with broccoli and chicken fried rice. Green tea too. You will not be disappointed. The staff was singing all the while. Met the chef too. Sweet everyone. 🍒🍒🍒

The best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been! After three days of eating Moroccan food, this helped me with my cravings. They kept the chinese flavour. At first I was skeptical that maybe they put some Moroccan seasoning because the day before, I had spaghetti and the taste was terrible. I totally recommend the cold noodle soup.

The restaurant offers a choice between a cozy downstairs area with multiple rooms and a fireplace, or an inviting terrace with stunning views. Guests can enjoy a romantic atmosphere with dimly lit candles and charming lanterns. Visitors have praised the excellent and affordable food, multilingual staff, great owner, and brilliant ambiance.
Really good local food with the accent of modern kitchen! And they know the main rule - every restaurant starts from the bread! They gave two types of breads and both feel's restaurant made and are very delicious. I dare to say I didn't tried better bread throughout all my 2 weeks journey in Morocco! The cold starter was already good as the main dish. Feeling that made from quality and love! The restaurant interior is very impressive too!

Tissemlal is an absolute gem in Chefchaouen and a must-visit for anyone exploring this beautiful town. This restaurant offers an authentic Moroccan dining experience that’s hard to match, blending amazing flavors with a stunning atmosphere that leaves a lasting impression on anyone who visits. Their tagine and couscous are hands-down some of the best you’ll find in the region. Each dish is rich in flavor, perfectly cooked, and carries the comforting spices that make Moroccan cuisine so special and memorable. Their fresh and refreshing fruit juice is an ideal pairing, balancing the meal with a burst of natural sweetness that adds to the overall experience. And let’s not forget the local olives they serve—so fresh and flavorful that they instantly elevate the entire dining experience, making it even more authentic. What truly sets Tissemlal apart, however, is its rooftop sitting area. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking—you get an unparalleled perspective of Chefchaouen’s lively main square, surrounded by charming greenery and the majestic mountains in the backdrop. It’s the perfect spot to relax, savor your meal, and soak in the beauty of the Blue City. The tranquil yet vibrant atmosphere makes it ideal for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Tissemlal is not just a restaurant—it’s a complete experience. A visit here is a memory you’ll treasure long after leaving Chefchaouen. Highly recommended!
Najam M — Google review
This place was recommended to us by our local host. The beef skewers were the single best bite I had while in Chefchaouen. The pasta side dish, which came with several entrees, could have been a main dish as our entire family liked it. Another bite to note was the chicken that came in the ceasar salad, we all said "wow." The Moroccan soup is memorable as well. Only Dirham [cash] is accepted here (no credit card, no euro); exchange locally for a better rate, not at ports of entry. If you are able to have multiple meals while in Chefchaouen, this would be my #3 recommendation; if lunch on the roof, during the day and it's not raining, #2.
Micah P — Google review
Excellent three-course meal (lots of choixe) for 95 dhs (excluding drinks), a very reasonable price, in such a lovely place. Loved the seafood tajine. Nice views from the terrace, and if you’re cold the indoor area is cosy as well. Waiters were very nice!

Came here by accident and glad we did!! I had the seafood tagine and it is probably one of my favourite meals in Morocco! The service is great too! Staff is welcoming, polite and conversant in English. The ambience is amazing - very cozy, tastefully decorated and i love the orange blossom scent in the restaurant. If i have another day in chefchaouen, i’d definitely be back again!

A great find. I had the Moroccan Soup followed by the Chicken Skewers. Both were delicious! Great atmosphere: roomy, nicely decorated. It was a rare cold rainy day when I came and there was an open wood fire burning adjacent to which I was seated. Service was excellent too. Recommended.

Probably the best tajin I've had in my two week visit to Morocco. This place is run by women who seem to prepare the food for their guests the same way they would do for their family. It's unassuming, not that easy to walk by despite being close to the central part of the town. We ordered the meat tajin and the mixed cous cous. The cous cous was good, but the star was the tajin. Well seasoned, and with the meat being fork-tender. Note that preparing a tajin takes time, so be prepared to wait.
Fuad T — Google review
We came here after reading many positive reviews on Google, but unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. We ordered the Chicken Tagine and Couscous with Chicken — both dishes were completely flavorless, just plain steamed chicken and vegetables. We could barely eat anything for dinner. If you want to save your money and avoid leaving hungry, do **not** visit this place.

Lovely restaurant. We ended up having a delicious lunch and then getting a takeout for our evening meal. Food was great, tasty and just right. We tried a range of dishes and all were spot on. The cafe is run and staffed by women. Highly recommend 🤩

Ist is one of the hidden gems in town, a place where the women cook with love and the food taste so authentic and rich. We loved it. As vegetarians we were fully served with all we need. Great spirit and great taste. It’s very local somehow, the ambient is basic but beautiful in its own way

BILMOS is a charming café in Chefchaouen that offers a diverse menu catering to vegans and those with dietary restrictions. The restaurant provides a relaxed atmosphere with the option of outdoor seating. Guests can enjoy Moroccan classics while listening to local musicians and taking in the terrace view. Although some found the portion sizes slightly small for the price, many praised the delicious food and recommended trying their Moroccan soup and various tajines.
While in town we were looking for some GF options and came across this place. Centrally located with a dedicated GF menu, this place surprised us. Food was great and the service was amazing. We had some trouble communicating as we do not speak Arabic or French but I realized that the staff was quite knowledgeable about gluten allergies and took care of us really well.

We came to Chefchaouen to explore the beautiful sights, and after our tour, we visited a restaurant called Bilmos. We ordered: • Goat tajine – absolutely delicious! Served with zaalook and taktouka on the side. The meat was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. • Chicken tajine – it came with a lot of fries on top, but hidden underneath was a glorious chicken thigh and drumstick, perfectly tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully. • Pepperoni pizza – simple and basic, but tasted fine. • French tacos – one minced beef and one chicken. The minced beef taco was fantastic – saucy, cheesy, and a good portion. The chicken taco, however, tasted a bit off for some reason, but it is what it is. We ended the meal with Moroccan tea, which was the perfect way to wrap things up. The place was clean, though a bit crowded (understandable for a touristic area). The staff were extremely nice and welcoming. The business is family-owned, and you can tell they care about every detail in the restaurant.

I ordered takeaway food and it was pretty good. The only thing I didn’t like was that the bissara was swimming in 🫒oil. The tagine had a little too much oil too. Other than that, the food tasted great.

This restaurant is amazing. Very friendly and detailed service, that they can advice you in case you have allergies. I ordered latte with soy milk and vegan cous cous. The cous cous was very tasty. I'm happy to know this place and I totally recommend.

Had a great time here for dinner. Our server Lob/Lov was great. There was a lot of seating options available, and they were able to accommodate a wheelchair guest. We had the veggie pasta and Shakshuka for dinner. The pasta was flavorful and had fresh vegetables. The Shakshuka came out sizzling and was very flavorful and rich. They also provided free a appetizer to share, with some lovely olives, lentils and aubergine with some warm pita. The mint lemonade was also delicious. Overall it was a great experience and I'd visit again when in the area.

We were a group of 8, three couples and two additional friends. We had no idea where to eat among the many restaurants in the medina of Chefchaouen. Above all, we wanted a little bit of variety after being traveling for 7 days and eating a lot of traditional tajin and couscous. As we were walking the treets, enjoying the town, we ran into a tour guide and asked him. He assured us that Bilmos was the best. He has brought many there and have all enjoyed it very much. He was right! First, service was excellent. Our dedicated waiter was Zohair. A young guy that was kind, patient and most of all attended to each one of us with professionalism and warmth. He first explained to us what he considered the best dishes from each section. Very, very helpful ! Everyone of us enjoyed our dishes and were enamored with the amazing service we received to make it a perfect dining experience. In fact, he went above and beyond at every turn.

We came here for tea and desert. We expected a bit of a tourist trap but was pleasantly suprised. Slightly higher prices than away from the square but I feel you pay for the beautiful location also. View of mosque and kasbah. Served by Jisis, energetic and talkative, keen to give advice on the sites of town.

Twins Restaurant in Chefchaouen is a popular spot known for its diverse menu featuring Moroccan and international cuisine, including delectable steak dishes. The restaurant offers budget-friendly prices, making it accessible to all visitors. With comfortable seating and spacious areas, it's an ideal choice for family or friends gatherings. Additionally, the Italian section of the restaurant serves authentic pizzas and pasta in a relaxed atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options available.
Great VEGETARIAN meal seved at the main square. We had the falafael plate and the falafael taco. The taco is pretty much the same as the plate but served within a grilled wrap. The food was excellent, great coffee, found some shade to get out of the sun and had a great view of the main square. The price was reasonable as well. Always in search of a good Veg meal and this was a good find.

Quite a busy spot during lunch hours. We visited in late December and the weather was nice around noon so we decided to grab a seat outside. The place was packed but we were able to get a table within five minutes. There are plenty of options on their menu, reasonably priced and adequate portions considering it's location as a touristy spot. Would certainly recommend their grilled chicken skewers, tagine and oddly enough, their pizza as well :)
Ali — Google review
It is at the heart of the old city and very busy place. If you find a place, sit on the teras and watch the passerbys. It is a very vital point to view the locals and tourists. The food is excellent and normal price. There is one more Twins restaurant, that is older, this place is newer. Very friendly and kind service. Do not forget the famous Moroccan tea after your scrumptious meal, enjoy!
Elif Z — Google review
We ate here 4 times, returning for the same meal twice in a row because of how much we enjoyed it. We loved the steak. It was the best steak we had ever had. Grilled and smoky, smothered in gravy with soft potatoes and carrots, a portion of fries on the side. The service was great on the most part, but we felt that on some occasions some staff were impatient and dismissive over small requests/questions about the menu which was disheartening. The atmosphere is bubbly and in the centre of all the action, but too many people come and beg for money while you are eating, which for some might not be ideal. If you don’t like cats then be warned that there is no indoor seating and furry friends will come over and ask you for food (we don’t mind at all), but again, for some this might not be ideal!

Had breakfast here and really enjoyed it. The view from the terrace was beautiful and peaceful, perfect for a quiet morning. The traditional Moroccan breakfast was fresh and tasty, especially the mint tea. We had to wait a little before ordering, but it was worth it in the end. A lovely spot to start your day in Chefchaouen.

Very inconsistent service. The first day, we were greeted for breakfast and the restaurant has a beautiful view, the next day we were offered disgusting Moroccan tea “literally just water with a bit of mint and sugar” the third day we had bought some sweets and we wanted just tea from them TAKE AWAY. “ the denied us service and treated us with arrogance “ because we had sweets from somewhere else 🤷🏻‍♀️

Le coin: Great location as we discovered this place while walking. The dark interior is what drew us in. Two level seating available. Mojito : it was mint syrup with sprite. Refreshing yes but average. Pizza: It was fairly large with plenty of toppings. It was tasty. Overall, decent spot to grab food.

The extensive menu includes salads, pastas, pizzas, burgers, lasagne, tajines, fish, tacos, desserts and teas. The modern and clean restaurant has relaxing and pleasant Andalusian music in the background. The waiter was polite and efficient. Best of all, the place is reasonably priced and occasionally air-conditioned. Unfortunately on my early September afternoon visit, it was uncomfortably warm and stuffy inside.

The small boutique hotel, Residence Hotel Chez Aziz, is conveniently located in the heart of Chefchaouen's Medina district, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. This local restaurant offers reasonably priced local dishes and refreshing milkshakes and juices.
The food is tasty, fair prices, the place is crowded but you don't have to wait too much for your order. We have plat shawarma for 35 MAD, tacos for 30 MAD and cake for 5 MAD. Really recommend it
Rareș M — Google review
I had a disappointing experience at your restaurant recently. I was served three small sole fish of poor quality, which were far from fresh. What made the situation worse was the pricing. According to your menu, the dish is listed at 70 MAD, but I was surprised to be charged 90 MAD instead. This is unacceptable and misleading. As a customer, I expect transparency and fair treatment. I hope you take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure better service and accurate pricing for all guests in the future
Salon K — Google review
Very disappointing experience. The restaurant has a very limited selection of sauces—only Andalouse and Algérienne are available, which was already frustrating. On top of that, I found a hair in the mayonnaise and noticed dirt in the fries. Cleanliness and hygiene clearly need serious improvement. Would not recommend unless these issues are addressed.

I was quite disappointed with my visit. The floor was noticeably dirty, and the table I sat at was sticky and hadn’t been cleaned. The air conditioner wasn’t turned on, which made the place uncomfortably warm. To make things worse, the drink I ordered was hot even though it came from the refrigerator. Definitely not the experience I expected from a fast food restaurant.

After arriving in Chefchaouen, I was really excited to try one of their famous avocado and fruit milkshakes. This was the first place we went. There were some in the display counter, but he took one from behind the counter and said this one was “more fresh”. To be fair, it did look somewhat more fresh. From 2 hours after eating it, and for the next 10 hours, I had awful abdominal pain and projectile vomiting and couldn’t eat for the rest of the day. That night the diarrhea began and continued in to the next day. I would not recommend. AVOID! I did not let this ruin my Chefchaouen experience, but this particular cafe did not make for fun memories nor a good start or first impression of Chefchaouen.

I ordered garlic bread and cheese, and what I received was sliced bread with melted cheese, and it didn't taste like garlic. The pear-filled sacs were hard and had so much sauce that they splashed on me and stained my clothes. It's a shame that, even though there's an Italian restaurant in Ceuta, the variety, quality, and cooking methods are so limited. Several years ago, things were much better. The pizzas are usually better than the pasta. I'd like to tell the restaurant owners that I hope they improve the quality of their food and the variety of dishes; they could do very well. The renovation of the place is very nice. (Original) Decepcionante. WORST EXPERIENCE in Morocco! DO NOT GO! We only ordered beef noodle soup and it’s the worst soup noodle I’ve ever had. The soup is plain and looks like it’s made from instant noodle’s seasonings. More importantly, the noodles are pasta - spaghetti, and it costs 68 dhm per bowl. If you are a Chinese restaurant, at least, please try it, use Chinese noodles rather than pastas. Also, they charge 10% service fee, the only restaurant that charges us service fee in Morocco, and there is no water or napkins (but toilet papers). Super expensive and low quality comparing to Morocco local food. Would not recommend going.

The best place to eat in Chefchaouen!!! The guys running this place are sooooo lovely and the food is amazing. We went back five times during our stay. Try the plate with falafel made fresh (by the guys’ mum 🥹) It’s so delicious. My partner loved the burger and tacos too 🙌🏼

I really enjoyed this place! The food was fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. We ordered wraps with fries and refreshing mint lemon juice—everything was delicious and well-prepared. The wraps were packed with ingredients, grilled perfectly, and came with a side of crispy fries and a selection of sauces, which added a nice touch. The atmosphere was cozy and pleasant, although the tables were a bit small, especially if you’re ordering a full meal. But honestly, that’s a minor issue given how good the food and service were. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a satisfying and budget-friendly meal in a relaxed setting!

The food and staff were amazing! We had the Mido’s burger, quesadillas and Alfredo pasta and they were delicious. It’s a cozy restaurant and the guys who made the food were awesome - asking if we wanted sauces and checking in if we needed any refills. Highly recommended.

Food such as the burgers, falafel and salad were great. However the downfall was the bolognese (as it was very salty, like soup, and pasta was served instead of spaghetti). Wait time wasn’t so great too, you could wait 15 mins or 30 mins (like wth).

Top tier price/quality food. Everything is tasty, and I had the pleasure to chat with both boys working there. They were super friendly and they also gave me some advices regarding the city.

HERMANOS is a culinary gem located in Chefchaouen, Morocco. The restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its charming ambiance and delicious dishes. The tagine and couscous are particularly divine, showcasing the chef's talent. The staff members, especially Walid and Soufiane, are friendly and provide expert recommendations. Guests can enjoy a great view of the city center while savoring perfectly cooked food presented in style.
Amazing food, nice location, good prices and mostly very kind and cheerful waiters.. especially Walid was very kind fetched me medicine for my headache and gave me locations to the areas around ..I totally recommend them.

We went around 1pm on a Monday, place was quiet and we were the only customers there. We went as recommended by our lodging host. The restaurant is very near to the main square and there are plenty of other restaurants and ice cream parlours. Customer service was good. Waiter spoke English and was very attentive. It was a very warm day, shame they didn't have air con, we just sat under the fans. We had a lot of cat visitors to our table too. The food was very nice, delicious and tasty, we ordered tagines and tanjias which was served with couscous and veg. I enjoyed the meal. smoothies were nice too, I ordered the avocado smoothie and it didn't disappoint. Would I visit again, yes I would.

I had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Our waiter, Walid, was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about our comfort and happiness. He checked on us regularly without ever being intrusive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. His warmth and professionalism really elevated the whole dining experience. The atmosphere was lovely, and the service truly made it memorable. I’ll definitely be coming back!

It was really delicious! We had harira and couscous. Walid, thank you for your service. Best harira and couscous we’ve had so far in Morocco! Highly recommended.

Highly recommend eating here with a good view of the city centre. The food here is cooked to perfection and presented in style. Compliments to the chef's. The smoothies here are fantastic with the perfect refreshing feeling anyone would seek after a long days walk. Custom smoothies make for an unrivalled taste of chemical free fresh fruit taste. The staff members are extremely friendly and multilingual with a genuine care of duty. The waiters went out of their way to ensure the most enjoyable experience. Excellent pricing for a great meal. Take away smoothie, can't beat that.

The chicken quesadilla was good as well as the mango smoothie. Staff is kind and from the rooftop you can see the square.

This is today like 7:30pm, we were there for 20 minutes asking for the menu and nobody seems to care. The customers who came after me were given the menu but not us then when we asked him again he just threw the menu on our tables, that’s the worst way to attend the customers and I regret spending my 20 minutes over there. The table next to us also left the restaurant because nobody came to take order. The staff with the rude attitude is the staff in the picture.Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for some good time

Snack Amsterdam is a delightful spot for those craving generous portions of delicious food. Known for its shawarma, the flavors are robust, though some may find it on the salty side—a common trait in Moroccan cuisine. The menu also features a satisfying chef's salad and standard pizza options. If you're looking for a late-night bite, their chicken panini is an excellent choice that won't disappoint. While the atmosphere might not be the highlight of your visit, the quality and quantity of food make up for it.
Chicken Panini in the middle of the night is a good choice specially that it was late Delicious food but atmosphere isn't that much but i would highly recommend it

The menu is attractive but some of the food we got, look different from the menu or heat up from other restaurant. fresh juice was good but came after main course.
Aurum C — Google review
Big portion shawarma and good service, thankfully the whole thing was not swimming in mayonnaise sauce. Unfortunately it was pretty salty for my personal taste but that's completely normal for this part of Morocco and l guess the salt means it won't go bad if you leave it in a hot car for a few hours. Probably the best in town and home delivery is good. Good shawarma and chef's salad, standard pizza.
