Allo Pizza is a popular pizza place in Moorea, known for its wood-fired pizzas with fresh and unique ingredients. It's located near the cop shop on Cook's Bay and used to offer delivery service, although there are rumors that they are no longer allowed to deliver to the Hilton. The restaurant offers a variety of pizzas, including options like fresh tuna, capers, and anchovies or fresh tomatoes and pineapple that incorporate the delicious local fruits of Moorea.
I had a great experience at Allo Pizza! The stone oven pizza is absolutely delicious - crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and full of flavor. The prices are very fair for the quality you get, making it a great value for money. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!

The Carpaccio Pizza was insanely good — like, next-level delicious. Super fresh, light, and full of flavor. It almost feels like eating a salad on a pizza, but in the best possible way. Just a heads-up: it comes with cilantro, so if you’re not into that, keep it in mind. Also, the tuna is raw, so if you’re not a fan of raw fish, this might not be your thing — but trust me, it’s worth trying. We had it with a cold beer and honestly… it was perfection. One of those “so good you forget to talk” meals. 🍕+🍺 = pure happiness.

Best Hawaiian I’ve had in a really really long time! The turnaround from ordering to getting our pizza was super quick too. The chocolate mousse was delicious too! Wish we had found sooner. A must try if you’re nearby!
Lauren E — Google review
This humble little pizza place in Moorea truly surprised us! It may look simple, but the taste is absolutely incredible. We loved the pizzas so much—especially the Carpaccio pizza with raw tuna and fresh green salad on top. Such a unique and delicious combination! We ended up visiting twice during our one-week stay—that’s how good it was. While most customers order takeout, we preferred to dine in on the stools, watching the pizzas being made fresh right in front of us. It’s a relaxed and authentic vibe that we really enjoyed. Another thing we loved: the whole team is made up of women, working hard and putting real heart into what they do. No need for reservations, just show up and enjoy. Highly recommended—a must-try while you’re in Moorea!
Aytul K — Google review
Had a wonderful Hawaiian pizza with basil and garlic sauce. The local pineapple made this very special. Service was excellent and friendly. Dining is at the outside bar Stools and table. We were fortunate to have a fan.
Keith L — Google review
great pizza, reasonable price and very quick. caramelized pineapple crepe was really delicious too but it takes 15mins (worth to wait).
Soogi C — Google review
we ordered the vegan burger and a veggie pizza, no cheese. The vegan burger was delicious. It’s a mushroom burger with a really good sauce. The pizza dough was perfect. Their fries were perfectly cooked. There are limited vegan options in Moorea so we were glad to find this spot that had tasty options.

Very good wood fired pizzas! Not too busy for lunch. They have a big selection of specialty pizzas, or build your own

Restaurant Te Honu Iti, also known as Chez Roger, is a charming eatery located in Paopao village near the fish market, north of Moorea. The restaurant offers stunning views of Cook's Bay and the jagged mountains. Despite its unassuming appearance from the road, Te Honu Iti is renowned for its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere.
Excellent food in an amazing location. Service was a little slow but the shrimp were worth the wait. Sharks swam next to us as we ate. Good for kids. Can’t wait to come back.
Jonathan H — Google review
We were warmly welcomed to the restaurant. The terrace offers a breathtaking view of Cooks Bay, and you can see sharks swimming around. The shrimp was delicious!
Márcio — Google review
Best dinner ever!! The restaurant is right on the water and during dinner, we saw an octopus, a sting ray, a nurse shark, multiple reef sharks, an eel, and a crab! There was no wait time and they were so nice and attentive! The food was better than most of the dinner restaurants we have been to on the island. Highly recommend this place!!
Haley R — Google review
Well this place turned out to be a great find - even in the rain at night last week, it was awesome to eat alongside nurse sharks and sting rays. The staff was great and they even gave us a dish of raw fish to feed our new friends! Worth the trip for sure.
Debbie L — Google review
Quaint little off the road restaurant. You almost drive past it without noticing it. We easily got a table water side. The waiter was very nice and the menu was on a blackboard. We ordered the goat cheese salad. It’s the salad photo. The goat cheese is melted on top of a piece of toasted bread. There is a nice tomato sauce on top of the goat cheese. The bread is the croutons really. It was wonderful. Then we had the filet which was done perfectly. We also had the shrimp ravioli. Those raviolis were to die for. Hand made, these three raviolis fill you up. Cooked shrimp fills the hand crimped ravioli thin almost see through pasta. Peas on the outside, cooked vegetables, with a nice salad. The dessert was to top off a perfect dinner. The banana foster is better than I have ever had, even at $600 US a night dinners. The apple pie comes out pie size flat, making it a good size amount to serve two people if you’re already almost full from the meal. Overall, 5 stars! There are only 3 fine dining restaurants in the island and this is one of them! It doesn’t look like a fancy restaurant with marble floors but this pls e is just as good. Trust me! 800+ reviews can’t be wrong!

Came here at 6pm. First one & only while I was there. WARMED bread was served, which is a first to me in Polynesia thus far. The food is absolute delicious. Had the chicken & shrimp in lobster sauce with rice & veg. Best non-raw fish food I’ve had so far in Polynesia, rivaling my dinner at “2 Michelin star” Le Lotus in IC Tahiti. (Maybe even beating it; definitely in portion size & cost factors.) They deserve way more attention. Left satisfied & going to return tomorrow.
Beamer L — Google review
I ordered the scallops with peppersaus and tuna tartar. It was great🤩Cool with the reef shark that we could feed with tuna.
Camille S — Google review
This place has a gorgeous view. The chef freshly prepared our lunch. The coffee was absolutely delicious, as were the tuna burgers. We saw lemon sharks swimming in the lagoon next to our table. It was beautiful view of the bay and the towering jungle peaks. Highly recommend.

Snack Mahana RESA is a popular restaurant in Moorea known for its delicious seafood and healthy Polynesian cuisine. It's highly regarded by locals and visitors alike, offering great value for food. The restaurant is located at Moorea Pk 23,200 c/mer evirilip and has received numerous positive reviews. With a focus on fresh ingredients and flavorful dishes, Snack Mahana RESA provides an authentic dining experience that captures the essence of Polynesian flavors.
The food was really delicious. I'm happy my husband chose this restaurant for lunch. It was quite a busy lunch scene,we waited bout 15min for our food to arrive. It was worth the wait. We noticed most of the crew speaking English. We enjoyed their garlic shrimp & rice, grilled mahi mahi and cheese burger. Our girl was in the mood for shrimp so I ended up exchanging her cheese burger & fritz.
Adi M — Google review
Stepping into Snack Mahana RESA was an absolute delight, truly the highlight of my culinary experiences in Moorea! The casual beachfront setting immediately put me at ease, with our table offering a fantastic view right by the water. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed and authentic meal, and it’s clear why it's so popular – the seating fills up quickly! The food was simply incredible. I opted for the fried mahi-mahi with coconut sauce, and it was perfectly cooked, bursting with fresh flavor. My companion had the raw fish marinated in coconut milk (poisson cru), which was incredibly light, fresh, and utterly delicious – definitely a must-try. The portions were generous, offering fantastic value, especially compared to resort prices. Even with a busy lunch crowd, the service was friendly and efficient, and our food arrived promptly. The crew was very welcoming, and many spoke English, which was helpful. This isn't a fancy place, but its charm, delicious local food, and beautiful setting make it a truly unforgettable dining experience. Highly, highly recommended!

This place was good and cute! I loved the lady’s in the kitchens energy. Food was good, I got the poison cru and my mother got the shrimp curry. Both were delicious! View is great. A little pricey.
Cierra C — Google review
This is a must do for seafood and lunch. Only open 11-2. Arrive early to get a seat. Local fresh seafood, local staff very friendly and helpful. The Poisson Cru is amazing
Dene B — Google review
We had a delicious lunch here with incredibly fresh fish—especially the poisson cru, which was light and flavorful. The casual beachfront setting made it even better. A perfect spot for a relaxed and tasty meal. Highly recommended for anyone wanting authentic and tasty local food in a beautiful setting.

This place was delicious and had speedy service! It is cash only but they accept USD. I got the grilled mahi mahi with fries, it had garlic butter on top which was delicious! I’d highly recommend eating here!
Lucy M — Google review
I rarely if ever give a 5 star rating, as it infers they can't do any better, well in this case, they just cannot do better or improve. It was perfect in every measureable way. Following the meal that we had here last week, we had to come back again and try out their Mahi mahi. What an amazing treat. Instead of the breaded Mahi mahi with coconut milk, I decided to have, just have the breaded fish, and undercooked, without the coconut milk, but with chips instead. What a delight, the fish was a section from the belly from the Mahi mahi. Very undercooked as I requested to translucent at the thickest section, but still warm at this thickest point. It fell apart as I cut through the bread coating, and with the slight addition of pepper to the coating of the bread, it was exquisite. I have had Mahi mahi presented from other restarants and they just don't know how to prepare or cook this cut of fish, without presenting it to the customer horribly dry. Read my review of Chez Tamahau. From my perspective, if you like moist, sweet fish, you should definitely try this offering, you will not be disappointed. It is not actually on their menu in this form, but ask for, "Breaded Mahi mahi, no coconut milk, but with chips". You will love it, enjoy. My wife had the steak and chips as before, which she loved. Perfectly cooked to her liking. ****** We visited Snack Mahana for lunch today we all had steaks and fries. Mine was supplied as requested, however I had to ask three times over the course of my meal for a steak knife. They provided us one steak knife for three guests, then they bought one more. However after the third request I received my steak knife, some 20 minutes later Pretty obvious that if you order steak, you should receive the requiste knife. My steak was cooked well, as were the fries. Good to see that they did not add salt to the fries, which were very well cooked, as seen in the photos. The garlic sauce was ok for me, but for others it may be a little overpowering. We were the third group of customers to arrive, so our meals arrived fairly soon after we placed our orders, which may differ from what other reviewers have commented upon. The outlook from the front table is great, and we were fortunate to see a large stingray pass immediately below us. No extra charge for the wild life.
Peter T — Google review
A fabulous setting. We arrived early to secure a waterfront table overlooking the water. Awesome view of reef, and moored yachts. Friendly local service. Lovely local atmosphere. We ordered and shared a delicious poisson cru served in a large clam shell. Chunks of fresh tuna and salad with the addition of ginger. Slightly sweeter than expected but lovely. Suggest you share as it is a large portion. We were advised to have the breaded paro in preference to mahi mahi which we shared. The fish was sweet and delicate but very mushy. I would not order again but we will return to try the mahi mahi. Including 2 beers the cost 7200 XPF.

Restaurant
Coco Beach Moorea is a popular restaurant located on the beach at Tiahura motu in the Haapiti district of French Polynesia. Accessible by a short boat ride and with free boat transfers from the parking lot, it offers a true dining experience by the sea. The restaurant is highly recommended and known for its French cuisine, providing great food, atmosphere, and service. Visitors can enjoy beautiful views and fresh breezes while indulging in delicious meals.
A unique restaurant on an island just off Moorea. You can arrive via your own water craft or they provide a water taxi seating 12 every 30min for about $5 per person per way. Once you arrive you are assigned a table and given menus. Orders were taken and filled quite quickly for us. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The view from our picnic table was amazing with the blue lagoon water and mountains in the distance. We saw sharks and stingrays swim by frequently. Despite being on an island the restaurant took credit cards. Some people brought snorkel gear but I would not recommend. Thee isn’t any nearby coral sink limited seaside viewing. The current and wind can be strong so was safe to wade out a bit not to swim too far from shore.
Greg — Google review
I would definitely recommend eating lunch here if you are going to moorea. We booked a couple of weeks in advance and when we did there were only 1 or 2 days on our vacation that were available. It was absolutely paradise, beautiful clear water. Lush green trees, a ray swam up to the picnic tables that are halfway in the water. There is limited parking. We arrived early and had to park on the side of the road. My advice is to bring or pack water shoes that was my only regret. When you arrive by the boat you wade in shallow water for a few steps and it is quite rocky with coral 🪸 and rocks and shells. I'm not really sure about snorkeling there, you can but I feel like you would have to really want to. But I do think some good water wading shoes would be helpful.
Carolyn B — Google review
Definitely worth a visit. We had a beautiful day! Book your reservation on the website. Your reservation time is for the time of the boat pick up. The food was amazing. Snorkeling was fun but the current was really strong. If you walk right of the restaurant there is a beautiful sand bar.
Terian G — Google review
Amazing restaurant on a motu with a ferry shuttle service (costs an extra $5 US return) or you can rent a boat or a paddle board or a kayak to get there. Book an early time because the last shuttle comes back at 3:00 p.m. and if you want to snorkel in the Coral gardens, there's black tip reef sharks and stingrays and thousands of beautiful fish and corals I've never seen before, you just have to walk past the restaurant along the water a couple hundred meters. We had an 11:00 a.m. shuttle booking and by the time we arrived at the back of the group, all the tables in the water were already taken, so I would recommend taking the first shuttle and being at the front of the crowd when you get to the hostess stand. Eating with my feet in the water is a dream of mine that I will one day fulfill lol. We tried to book another trip and they were full a week in advance, at least the shuttle service, which is only for restaurant patrons... Btw I had the lagoon fish of the day which was a parrot fish and it was so delicate and delicious and fresh omg! Full of bones but that's to be expected with the smaller fish. I don't know if the restaurant staff saw me throwing the fins and tail and head to the chickens that were nearby, one of the things I love about French Polynesia is they're really laid back about stuff and they just ignore it if they see something, not like the rules of everywhere else. I don't think they have electricity everything is cooked on the grill so the rice and stuff must be made in advance on land, therefore our pina coladas were kind of chunky, with bits of real coconuts or pineapple, not blended like a smoothie. Just FYI to order something else. I did have a fresh squeezed pineapple juice afterwards that was the best juice I've ever had!
Tamra S — Google review
Definitely a “must do” while on Moorea! I made reservations on their website - reservations are needed for the boat that takes you to the motu. The reservation is for the whole day- so the table is yours. I booked for 11am (this is when the boat picks you up), we left around 3 pm. The food was great- I had the special- mahi-mahi- it was delicious! The pina colada was good. After lunch, we snorkeled for about an hour. There is a current between the two motus- fins were needed to get to the coral heads between the two islands but you can ride the current back (you could also wade/walk up then ride the current back). Highly recommend; kid friendly.
V H — Google review
We went to Coco Beach as we had read it was a must do while in Moorea. If you have a nice beach where you are staying, where you can swim and snorkel you don't need to go to Coco. Once you are greeted off the boat by staff they encourage you to order a meal and drinks immediately before enjoying the beach, etc. We didn't like the timeline and pressure right after arriving. The best part was the boat ride out and that was about it. The drinks were nothing special and food was okay.
Sarah R — Google review
We had an excellent day on Coco Beach Island. We booked our boat shuttle on the website, met the boat at the wharf (lots of shady car parking) the ride over to Coco Island was stunning as was the lunch. Throughly enjoyed Coco Beach as our introduction activity on Moorea, a lovely relaxing day on an island in paradise. 5 star.
Anna L — Google review
Coco Beach Moorea is a little slice of paradise! The setting is absolutely stunning—a small island café nestled under the trees, surrounded by the most vibrant turquoise sea you can imagine. The water is crystal clear, full of colorful fish, and perfect for swimming or just relaxing and soaking in the view. We waited about 15 minutes for the shuttle boat, which took around 10 minutes to reach the island. We arrived around 1 PM, which turned out to be a bit late—they had already run out of some of the most popular dishes like poisson cru and grilled octopus. So if you want the full experience, I’d recommend going earlier in the day. The food we had was delicious, but honestly, the reason I’d return is the location itself. It’s an unforgettable spot—peaceful, scenic, and uniquely Moorea. Highly recommended—not just for the food, but for the breathtaking setting. A must-do if you’re visiting the island!

Les Tipaniers is a beautiful public beach in Moorea, known for its small boat and dive shop where visitors can arrange tours or rent motorboats without needing a license or experience. The motorboats can accommodate up to 4 people, making it an affordable group activity. The beach is surrounded by narrow white sand strips and tends to get crowded on holidays and weekends. Additionally, the beach bar restaurant at Les Tipaniers offers friendly service, delicious cocktails, and prompt food service.
Restaurant/Beach Bar review. I’m not sure where all of the hate for the beach restaurant comes from. We had a lovely experience. The drinks were poured generously, the beer was cold, and the food was tasty. The fries were some of the best we have had in FP. I would dine here again.
Jon M — Google review
(Restaurant/ bar) Bar on the water was great, tried 4 different cocktails and they were all excellent and the staff were lovely. Five star! (Restaurant) The dinner however was not good, got 2 pizzas and they were both average at best. Got a cream based and tomato based. The tomato based one came out mid temperature only and the other one was only ok. 1 star max. Edit: Unfortunately, as we came for a swim the next day the guy who served us was yelling our order at us as we went back to our car in an abusive manner. Very unpleasant experience.
Phill T — Google review
(Covering the hotel, restaurant and cafe/bar) Hotel - I stayed in room 22 and was first greeted by the neighbours having a (not so) very private moment together, not the hotel’s fault but the open netting at the top of the window means everybody can hear everything). It got worse, as the room was INFESTED with ants - I was bitten constantly, no air conditioning and the bathroom stank of sewers (backed up by the constantly foaming shower drain). This odour was so bad I had to wash my clothes twice after staying here, I think furniture wax is used to mask it, but it felt like I was drying myself in human slurry after the shower. I’m generally not very fussy but it is an extremely dated room and the whole block needs demolishing and redoing. Honestly unacceptable. Restaurant - Pizza tasted very bland so did not eat here again but liked I could take it to my room. Cafe/ bar - One of the ladies who works here on a morning is extremely rude. She threw ice at a chicken that also nearly hit me and stomps around the restaurant making you on edge. The other ladies are nice but the one staff member is enough to not go back. The food is average and very overpriced but the setting is incredible. Based off my experience, I cannot recommend this place. If things improve, I would consider re-writing this review.
Andrew — Google review
This review is for the Garden Bar & Restaurant. Quite possibly the worst restaurant meal I've ever had, and I've travelled a lot. The "grilled fish" was inedible. I've never had fish that was so full of fat that I simply couldn't chew it. I really needed to eat something, so I had to suppress my gag reflex to force some of it down. I left most of it on the plate, and no one even bothered to ask why. To top off this awful experience, the meal was expensive, and the server was rude.
Maggie F — Google review
The setting for the restaurant is one of the loveliest in the world. Beautiful blue water and a stunning array of tropical fish. The food was not as amazing as the view - although overall we had a great experience. The trio of raw fish dishes was amazing and the chicken salad was tasty. Service was competent. The beach made it an outstanding day.
Moira F — Google review
Worst breakfast we had in Moorea. The woman managing the restaurant was rude from the moment we walked in — sighing because we weren’t ready to order two minutes after arriving, even though the place was empty. She stayed unpleasant throughout, and gave change entirely in 5 franc coins. Food was bland and tasteless. Totally out of step with the warm service we experienced elsewhere on the island. Avoid.
Celine T — Google review
A pleasant surprise — deserves a higher rating for the beach restaurant! In Moorea, where long wait times are common even at top-rated places, we were really impressed by how *kind and quick the staff* was here — a big plus! The food was *delicious*: tasty club sandwich, fresh salads, *excellent tuna sashimi*, good wine, and their *homemade tart* was lovely. Honestly, this restaurant *deserves a much higher rating*. I would give it *4.5 stars* and would happily come back!

Didn’t have a reservation, which they appreciate, but still seated us. Food was small portion, ok taste, not sure we’ll be back. Waitress was very sweet. $100CAD(~8000CFP) for an appetizer, 2 cocktails, a beer and a water.

Moorea Beach Cafe by Bruno Jamais offers an upscale dining experience with breathtaking sunset views. The restaurant is located right on the lagoon, providing endless sea views and stunning sunsets. The Veuve Cliquot champagne logo can be seen on the bright orange umbrellas, adding to the vibrant atmosphere. It's within walking distance from Hotel Manava Moorea and a small outdoor shopping center in Maharepa district.
Best decision ever to eat here tonight. We’re staying at a 5 star resort and while the food is good, this food blew it out of the water. The sushi and crispy rice sushi were phenomenal. The pork belly on cabbage was also fantastic. This chef really excels in his field. I wish he had more days in town to come try more of his food. The service was also wonderful. I have a food allergy which they handled so carefully. It was also pouring rain yet still crowded with customers, clearly a well known place for its excellent food. The setting is right on the water and has great views which I’m sure are even nicer when it’s not pouring rain though we still loved it!:) The chef’s daughter was helping us too and was so friendly and kind. Highly recommend this place.

The Moorea Beach Café is an absolute gem. The setting and views are nothing short of incredible — the perfect spot to watch the sunset while enjoying dinner with your toes in the sand and the ocean lapping at your feet. The food and service are exceptional, and Bruno, the owner, makes the experience even more special with his warm, welcoming personality. The crispy sushi was truly out of this world (so good I had to come back just to have it again!), and the fresh focaccia bread was another favorite. The Veuve Clicquot Champagne theme throughout the café creates a fun, celebratory vibe that makes every visit feel special.

My partner and I had a fabulous experience dining at Moorea Beach Cafe by Mr. Bruno Jamais. We started with a Veuve Cliquot toast while watching a beautiful sunset at a lovely table by the water. Each course was delicious - especially the foie gras sushi which was so fabulous, we ordered it twice!! We also enjoyed Greek salad, garlic bread, and Hawaiian pizza. The piece de la resistance - classic crème brûlée and espresso! I strongly recommend this charming cafe as a “must” visit on Moorea. It was also a pleasure to meet the incomparable Bruno Jamais - the visionary behind it all!

RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE – RUINED OUR LAST NIGHT IN MOOREA The view might be nice, but everything else was an absolute nightmare. My wife and I came here on our honeymoon and were immediately swarmed by bugs — crawling on our legs, into our shirts, and even into our food and drinks. No matter how much we swatted them away, they kept coming. We literally had bugs in our food and water cups. The manager offered to move us to a different table, but the whole restaurant was infested — mosquitoes and termites everywhere. By then, our food and drinks were already contaminated. His excuse? “It happens all over the island” and “it’ll end in 5 minutes.” It went on much longer, and instead of showing any understanding, he was dismissive and extremely disrespectful. When we explained we didn’t want to pay for food full of bugs that we couldn’t even eat, he ignored us. He offered a free dessert instead, but by that point, we just wanted to leave. To make matters worse, the nice table of three next to us tried to cheer us up and even offered to cover our drinks. But when the bill came, the manager charged us for EVERYTHING — including the drinks the other table had already put on their check. When I tried to reason with him, he doubled down, saying we were “the only ones complaining” and continued to make rude comments. Meanwhile, we saw multiple families unable to sit down because of how bad the bugs were, and several people walked out. Even when I finally decided to just pay to end the situation, he continued making disrespectful comments toward us while I was telling him, “just let me pay.” In the end, I just paid to avoid further confrontation and plan to dispute the charge with my hotel/credit card. What was supposed to be a special last night of our honeymoon was completely ruined by this awful experience. Do yourself a favor — RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. The owner is rude, the restaurant is bug-infested, and you’ll end up paying full price for food and drinks that you can’t even consume.

The most beautiful beach cafe I have ever been to in my entire life. The views here were mind-blowing. Very peaceful setting with friendly staff. We didn't have long in Mo'orea so we just took a taxi here (from the ferry port) with some friends and spent about an hour enjoying the view, with a lovely cold drink. I cannot rate the food because we didn't eat here.

Beautiful view and vibes. Bruno is the man! Merci/Maruru to him and all the staff! Epic portions and the sashimi was too notch. 🥂🤙🏻🌴

We were in Moorea for a week and ended up at this restaurant 3 times, we enjoyed it that much. We spent our last night there with our group of 8 and everyone raved about it and said it was the best restaurant they had been to on the island. The setting is perfect where you can watch a sunset while you dine or listen to the lapping of the water on the shore. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. We did encounter the bugs but they were gone by 6:45pm as the owner said they would be and they occurred the day previously at another restaurant.. of 3 visits they only appeared once and from talking to all the locals, it is an inexplicable act of nature. If the bugs are out, dine later in the evening or find an indoor restaurant. However MBC is not to be missed!
Monica H — Google review
Don’t pay any attention to any of the negative reviews, we almost didn’t go because of them but we are so glad we went. This is the only spot on the island that you can sit and dine right on the waters edge, you have 180 degree water view and it is so amazing. The food and drinks are next level and the staff and owner are super friendly and attentive. We sat there for 2 hrs just enjoying and relaxing watching the view. We did other restaurants but none have a view, atmosphere, food, or service even close to this. Don’t miss out on this place!!

Nestled on a hillside with breathtaking views of Moorea's lagoon, Holy Steak House is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in a delightful dining experience. This charming steakhouse and wine bar offers an inviting outdoor garden patio where you can unwind with a refreshing Mai Tai or explore their impressive wine cellar. The menu boasts an array of gourmet options, including succulent New Zealand beef, fresh seafood, burgers, and vibrant salads.
Ok i was EXTREMELY SURPRISED! I went to dinner here last year and the quality was very mid like a 3/5 for the price. I decided to try again today and their food was very tasty - i had a lobster ravioli with their ginger sauce.
Poeiti C — Google review
Some places rely on their view or location too much, and cut corners elsewhere, because of higher overhead, operating costs, supply costs etc. This place is not one of those. You get the best of both here. The food is phenomenal, the staff was amazing from GM to servers. Prices are elevated but reasonable. And this coconut creme brulee was one of the most amazing desserts I've ever had, anywhere. Incredibly unique dessert. Also the duck was excellent and perfectly cooked. The half-lobster with the surf and turf was awesome. We went after dark, so I don't have a great picture of the view, but I could see it at dusk, and it was spectacular. I'm not sure why the Google maps restaurant rating was lagging a bit at 4.2 on 8/6/25, but that compelled me to post a 5-star rating. Also, I wanted to note the kid-friendliness of the culture there. They dedicated an airline-club style room to kids, which had two beds/lounges and a TV on the room wall to play children's programming. But that says something because they could have put at least two more customer tables in that room for more Revenue. There's literally zero excuse not to go to this place as a top-3 dining destination on Mo'orea.

Great Restaurant! The lobster of my surf and turf was brilliant as well as the homemade shrimp dumplings and the coco creme brulee. We didn't like the entrecote (very chewy) and the burger was solid but nothing exceptional.
Clive B — Google review
We had a very good experience. We had beef tenderloin, one medium well and one medium, were on point, and the creme brulet was also exquisit. The view is really nice, we had the full moon and the sea in front of us.

We had a lovely meal here on October 14th 2025. We were lucky to walk in at around 7:00 p.m. and get a table for two. It's a lovely place with fresh flowers everywhere, a neat wine cellar that's glassed in and all the tables are on a covered wooden deck overlooking the ocean a block away, and would probably have a great view at sunset! The staff were wonderful, they share tips so everybody was serving us not just our server. We didn't order steak because we heard it comes from New Zealand not Alberta like we're used to in BC Canada, and we know we're spoiled! I had the steak tartare and my companion had the fish of the day which was a local type of swordfish, we couldn't remember the name. The creme brulee in the coconut shell was delicious as well. I made the mistake of having the crispy tempera prawn appetizer and I just had to try their homemade olive tapenade, and then I couldn't finish my dinner ...but I still wanted dessert so I ended up with quite a bit of a to-go box 😆 I had it for dinner tonight though so I really got two meals out of it. Dinner for two with one drink and one juice was $200 US, quite reasonable for such a fancy place! We may return again on this trip! 😍🥰

We stayed at the Hilton and this restaurant provided a free return shuttle. Dinner was amazing as was dessert! Would certainly return and recommend. The staff were super polite and engaging too!

So thankful we found this place! We ended up eating here three nights in a row, because it was by far, the best food on the island. Everything was delicious. We had steak, lobster, fish and chicken. The wait staff is excellent and they go above and beyond. Heanahu(sp), our server, was the absolute sweetest. She has the best personality and excellent service. We really struggled to find good food off the resorts but this steakhouse was phenomenal. Couldn't ask for better food or a better experience.

Restaurant K, nestled within the stunning Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea Beach Resort, is a must-visit for those seeking an elegant dining experience in Tahiti. With its charming wooden decor and breathtaking views of the turquoise lagoon, this intimate venue sets the perfect backdrop for special occasions. Reservations are highly recommended to secure your table. Guests can indulge in gourmet cuisine crafted from fresh local ingredients under a magnificent cathedral ceiling made of Kahaia wood.
One of the best experiences you can ever live. Not only for the place you are, but for the whole combination of location, food service, and of course the vacation time you are probably spending. The testing menu is simply excellent, they manage to guide you through all different type of flavors, accompanied with wine pairing which intensifies them while tasting this delicious dinner. Sitting on top of sand, you can hear the ocean while having a romantic dinner right at the beach. The decoration is beautiful and service is incredible. This restaurant is a must when staying at Sofitel or visiting Moorea.

The service and food were wonderful! We did the 7 course tasting menu, ordered a bottle of wine. We were the only people in the restaurant for about 30 min so we had a lot of attention. We enjoyed the experience, food and the service however, I’m not sure it was worth $500 USD. It was very over priced and hyped up upon check in. Although we enjoyed this, I would skip it next time!
Heather C — Google review
We had 7 course tasting menu with wine pairing, and all the dishes were just delicious! Make sure you book the dates that serve tasting menu to get the best experience. Will definitely come back for the best meal in town when we return to Moorea!
Trista W — Google review
Was it good? Yes, absolutely. Is it worth paying double what you would pay in the regular hotel restaurant? Not sure. The starter I had was indeed unique, but the main I chose (steak and gratin) was actually very similar, if not identical (which I highly suspect, since both gratins were low on salt...) to the same dish I had in the other restaurant the day before. Other than the sauce, it was almost identical. In fact, the dish I had the day before was bigger... So it was a little disappointing for me. Other than that, it was good.
May H — Google review
We had a 3 course menu without wine pairing. The ambient in the sand was absolutely amazing. Also the service was also good. Unfortunately we wanted to order a la carte which was not possible. The food was mediocre, the mahi mahi was dry and the price is very very high given all this.
David F — Google review
A beautiful setting for an exquisite dining experience. The foie gras with the Tahitian twist and the desserts were simply heavenly!
Noemie B — Google review
This was certainly the best meal we had the entire trip, and one of the best meals I have eaten. The portions are small as mentioned in some of the other reviews, but it’s a 7 course tasting menu. You’re not going to get a 16oz steak for your entree. Each of the courses were absolutely delightful, from the very beginning to the dessert. The wine pairings were also spot on. As amazing as the meal was, the service was outstanding. Very attentive, and helpful to explain each of the dishes as they were brought out. It did not feel too long at all. Once again it was a 7 course tasting menu, it’s going to take time. If you’re coming to Moorea and are looking for an outstanding dining experience, look no further.
Michael P — Google review
The atmosphere and service are excellent. However the food and wine are very disappointing. We had the five course meal and wine paring. All of my food are full of sugar. I feel like we spent over $300 and sit for 2 hours to eat 5 very mediocre desserts. The menu itself is 2 starters + 1 entree + 2 desserts. Not sure why anyone want 2 desserts on a fixed menu. Wine pairing was very random, and doesn’t match the food at all. Not to mention they are not very good wine by themselves either. It’s sad that the food and wine are bad for such a nice venue.

Rudy's is a renowned restaurant located in Maharepa town near Cooks Bay, offering a diverse menu with a focus on seafood. One of the standout dishes is the crab-stuffed parrotfish, highly recommended by many patrons. In addition to seafood, Rudy's also serves steak, pasta, and delectable desserts and drinks with an international flair infused with local influences. The ambiance exudes a laid-back Mediterranean vibe with stucco walls and dim lighting.
Well where to start. First by thanking Doug and his wife from North Carolina for recommending Rudy’s. We got the last table in a full Restaurant after being picked up from our Hotel by Rudy’s Dad. This family owned and run restaurant is a real treat. Watching the Team so friendly and passionate is a rarity these days and the food well it was outstanding we had the steak and the Parrot Fish among other things and they were great. A must visit for sure.

We visited Rudy’s during our honeymoon in Moorea and it was one of our favorite meals on the island. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service is friendly and attentive, and the food is simply outstanding. The coconut Curry lamb was unique and delicious, and everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. A perfect spot for a romantic evening. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Moorea! ...........................

Yep, this was my FAVORITE dinner place on the island of Moorea. I’m not a huge fish eater, but wanted to experiment on the parrot fish and my goodness, was the best fish I’ve ever had in my life! The parrot fish itself plus the French twist with the sauce is absolutely to die for. I will be dreaming of this until I return to the island to get more. Owners were super sweet too. Definitely go :)
Cierra C — Google review
What an incredible gem! The food here was delectable! We had the parrotfish stuffed with crab (sauce was heavenly), the scallops and shrimp provencales (another addictive sauce) which was cooked perfectly, and the mussels gratin. Super impressed. The food doesn’t look fancy but tasted incredible! Must try on Moorea. Free pickup and drop off from hotel as well. Excellent service and the restaurant is filled with clients.

They were able to accommodate a last-minute reservation, and as we walked in, it smelled like a traditional French cuisine, garlic and fresh baked bread! Escargot is a must, the raw tuna in curry, which is a classic local dish was excellent, the best raw fish I’ve had in a long time and was not too acidic like a traditional ceviche! We got the parrot fish stuff with crab and the duck, which was super tender and flavorful. Highly recommend the reviews for itself.
Danielle K — Google review
The hosts are wonderful and allowed me to dine without a reservation (I’d still recommend making one). I’m glad I did because the Crab Stuffed Parrotfish was remarkable. The ambience and service is excellent as well. This was easily the best meal I had in Moorea.

We reserved and arrived early, the service was excellent. Our food arrived promptly and as described. It only got louder in the room as more people arrived. The beef bourguignon was the best I have ever had, and matched well with Bordeaux wine, as was the creme brulee which I matched with Grand Marnier. A top meal!

Had a great experience at Rudy’s. They arrange free transport back and forth from your hotel with your reservation. Food was great. Service was quick. And staff was very friendly. I had the parrot fish stuffed with crab and it was very good. People next to us got the curry shrimp and that looked delicious too. Crepe was decent

Le Lezard Jaune Café is a charming restaurant located in Hauru, in the northwest of Moorea Island. It offers a blend of local Tahitian atmosphere with modern elements. Opened in 2015, this hip eatery serves shish-kabob style dishes with generous portions and delightful desserts like flambeed bananas. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food offered.
First time having moonfish and it was some of the best fish I’ve ever had. It was cooked to perfection. And the sauce…the coconut curry sauce was so good. The fish was good even without the sauce but it was an excellent bonus. Definitely the go to restaurant if you come to Moorea.

I have been to this restaurant every time I travel to Moorea, and it is always the best meal of the trip! The waitstaff are incredibly kind and will make delicious suggestions. Also, the owner of the restaurant will come over and check on you at some point during your meal - she is a very kind lady. On this trip, I had the local bluefish with curry-coco sauce, a side salad and the grilled skewer of vegetables. My gf who is vegan, had tofu with Barbeque sauce (not American style), rice, and a skewer of vegetables. We both loved our meals. Also, I don’t remember the name of the blue drink we had, but it was delicious and strong!

I booked a table for two at this highly recommended restaurant, and from the start, their professionalism stood out. They promptly confirmed our reservation and even sent a reminder email the day before our dinner. Although it was quite a drive from our Airbnb on the opposite side of the island, it was absolutely worth the effort. The food was outstanding — rooted in tradition but elevated with unique and delicious touches. We ordered the poisson cru, a dish I came to love in Moorea, and this was by far the best version I’ve had. It was beautifully presented as a tower, and our main course fish was served on skewers — the presentation was truly impressive. The highlight of the evening was a delightful surprise: our lovely waitstaff performed a traditional dance to local music, adding an unforgettable cultural touch to the experience. Just a heads-up — the portions are generous! When I saw the size of our poisson cru starter, I was shocked, and our waiter cheerfully said, “It’s a Tahitian portion.” Fantastic food, warm hospitality, vibrant music, and a beautiful setting — this restaurant truly delivers a Michelin-star-worthy experience. Highly recommended!

Beautiful restaurant tucked off the street with incredible food!! We had the poisson cru as suggested by our server as well as a local fish of the day with delicious vegetables. Both dishes were phenomenal. The St Claire Sauvignon Wine is delicious. Can’t wait to go back again. A definite must visit!!

Had a fantastic meal at the green lizard. Exotic chicken salad was delicious with the house marinaded olives. The beef and local fish were both cooked perfectly and the sauces were divine. Spicy sauce is not for the faint of heart and the coconut curry is a must have. Capped the meal off with pineapple flambe and vanilla ice cream. Great meal at reasonable prices.
Devin B — Google review
We started with the poison cru appetizer which was extremely generous portion. We had 6 at our table and one dish fed all of us. I ordered the Paraha - peue entier with the curry sauce and vegetables and it was incredible! All of us ate the same thing except for my friend. She had the duck. She loved it. I highly recommend this restaurant. Another thing that really made this experience exceptional was how 2 of the servers would perform Tahitian dance. Really, so beautiful and fun.

We were a big skeptical by how the restaurant looks on the outside, but we ended up being surprised by the amazing food, super tasty, good portion and excellent quality of all ingredients. Not to mention how sweet the staff was, making us feel very welcomed and how beautiful they make the dishes, almost like art! If we come back to Moorea we will for sure return to this amazing place <3

Fantastic food, lovely staff, beautiful setting. We loved the cooked tuna breaded with coconut and the mahi. They had beautiful carpaccio, which I don't eat unfortunately, but I suspect that would be extremely tasty as all other diners loved it. Also good value compared to other places on the island.
Tia L — Google review
Very nice spot for dinner! The floor is sand which makes it feel very island and tropical. We ordered the garlic shrimp and coconut breaded fish and served with fresh fruit. Overall the meals were tasty. They were a little pricey for the portions of the food.
Kassandra S — Google review
Checked out this place after our recommended restaurant next door was full for the night. Decent spot, atmosphere is pretty casual with sand floors plastic chairs/table. Prices are in range with the area. Service was good and attentive. We got the Octopus in garlic sauce and the Land and Sea special. Octopus w/ sauce tasted like a solid New England clam chowder and would order again 5*. Land (steak) was okay, could use more flavor 3*. Prawns 4* and a fried tuna ball 3.5* were serviceable. Fresh fruit 5* rounded out the meal. Food presentation bumped this overall from a 3.5 to 4*, Insta worthy.

Love this place - the food was beautifully presented and equally delicious. The staff were so friendly and kind. The shuttle driver Gary was wonderful. This team went above and beyond to help us out when we ran out of gas. Highly highly recommend this place!!

This might be my favorite meal in Mo'orea. I could have eaten here every night! This was one of the most reasonably priced places we found on the island. Super casual, sand floors, pickups from nearby hotels. We got the poisson cru (basil edition) and the octopus (curry edition). Both were HUMONGOUS portions. The poisson cru was super fresh. The basil was an interesting spin on it, which I enjoyed, but there was also a ton of onion and garlic, which was a bit overpowering.Thee julienned carrots added some nice texture. The octopus was melt-in-your-mouth tender. My chichi was super tasty, so if piña coladas are your thing, I recommend it. It's pretty big for the price. If not, try the Ti Punch, which was the best version we had on our trip. It was heavy on the citron and more of a tart punch than the usual sticky sweet version. We also tasted some of the breadfruit raclette and that was a treat! If you haven't had breadfruit, it has the consistency of potato, and the raclette tasted like a potato au gratin. Fair warning, it's HUGE, so make sure you have 2-3 people to share it with. Our meal came to about 9000 xpf, including the three drinks. With how pricy everything else on this island is, that felt like a steal! I'm sad we didn't discover this place until the tail end of our trip, as I could have eaten here another dozen times.

Restaurant le Sunset, located at Hotel Hibiscus, offers a picturesque dining experience right above the water on the island's northwestern corner. While some dishes like seafood pasta are enjoyable, others may not impress as much—like the curried shrimp. However, it's hard to overlook the stunning views and delightful cocktails that enhance your meal. This casual beachside eatery serves reasonably priced lunch options such as fish burgers and omelets, while dinner features pizzas and pastas around 1,700 CFP.
Love this place - fab food (home made pasta) pastas fish salads beach holiday food. Served on the beach with views to die for by staff who have worked there for many years and still offer smiles efficient service A Moorea institution renovated super clean - one of the locals favorites that we all adore
Tracey T — Google review
We had lunch at the sunset restaraunt a few days ago and the meals there were pretty good, price wise a little expensive, but considering the view you get with your meal well worth the experience. The view across the lagoon is great, especially when the sun is out and not cloudy. I had fish which was a little dry, however quite good, my wife had the bacon and tomato baguette with chips. The chips were well drained and not over salted which is great to see. The coffee offee is the best that we have had anywhere on Moorea, and their coconut cake is the great. The service was a little slow, however the restaraunt was pretty well to capacity, hence the service, which could be anticipated. All considered definitely a must visit.
Peter T — Google review
This was the worst price for quality we experienced on Moorea. The food and drink are not very good, but the prices are extremely high. All for a sunset view that would have been better enjoyed from the beach right in front. Also, it was quite warm/uncomfortable in the restaurant and the service was nothing special
Bella D — Google review
We only had burgers here. They were decent. The service was mediocre at best. They asked us if we wanted dessert but never came back to take our order instead they just started closing

My husband and I stopped in after other places were full and THANK GOODNESS! We both had the best meal of our lives there. He ordered the Poisson cru and I got the exotic salad. Both were incredible- seriously can't say enough! And the colada and Nutella milkshake were to die for!! It was night time so we couldn't really see the ocean, but a thunderstorm rolled in and the lightning was so cool to watch. The breeze felt amazing too. Would give more than 5 stars if I could!
Ellen H — Google review
I WILL PUT AN END TO THE 5 ⭐️ versus 1⭐️ reviews!!! And the verdict is….. a solid 3.75 stars! From the moment we walked in about 20 minutes before the sun was setting, we were greeted by a friendly staff and given a table with uninterrupted ocean views even though we didn’t have a reservation. The staff was quick to take our drink orders. We did not order any pizza given their extensive menu, but instead went with the pasta carbonara and the tuna carpaccio. Wow. The food was fresh, had a great presentation (1/2 cracked egg on the pasta), and tremendous flavor. The music playlist was perfect for dinner. Prices were very on par with other restaurants in the area, but most of them don’t provide this fantastic view! A touch of ambiance with the decor, we will definitely be back!

We called 30 mins before showing up to make reservations and even though they were packed, they got a table right away, the service and food was fantastic. We had the Hawaiian pizza, Vegetarian Curry, kids Chicken nuggest, Pina Colada, beer and anana juice. The view was perfect for sunset dinner, doesn't get much better on the island at a restaurant to watch the sunset.

Very nice place to watch sunsets. Excellent atmosphere and clean dinning area... As seen here in Google "there is not phone contact to make any reservation." Ah? Hello? You need to call thru the hotel which we did not know which was. Restaurant opens at 17:30 and everyone rushes there obviously to watch a beautiful 🌇 sunset. Very limited parking space, we had to park outside main at the sideway road, which is not safer after you finish to eat. As for food, please do not order any Mahi Mahi, it was tasteless, missing seasoning like garlic or onion taste. It was a good place for having celebrate our 15 anniversary ❤.

This was our favorite restaurant in Moorea! 🍽️ great quality local food, big portions and friendly staff make this place a must-visit. The ceviche was fresh and the grilled meat was tasty. We came here twice during our visit and very affordable too.

We’re visiting from the US and staying across the street at Manava. We’ve come here two nights in a row. Both night I got the grilled fish and green beans with teriyaki sauce. My husband got the chicken, rice, and green beans. The food was SO GOOD! It hit the spot after a long day in the sun. The fish was tender and fresh, and the chicken was also tender and flavorful. 10/10 would recommend.

This place really surprised me. Our island excursion tour brought us here for lunch and the food was really good. We had dinner here after seeing the amazing reviews. We were very happy until the food arrived. We ordered the fish and beef skewers and the chicken with rice, green beans, and salad on the side. The plate was beautiful. The only problem is that all the meat was undercooked, even the chicken. The beef and fish were almost raw. I still gave this place 4 stars because the atmosphere is amazing, and the service is super friendly. Maybe we were unlucky with the food.

Conveniently located across the road near Manava Resort. The grill looks and tastes excellent, definitely get the BBQ sauce. I wish I could give it 5 stars but unfortunately only the fish meat was comestibile, the beef meat was not: it was very gummy, couldn't chew it at all, had to spit all of it regardless of how many times I tried to eat it. The service is OK and pretty fast. Accepts both cash and card

A L'Heure Du Sud is a great vegetarian restaurant with large menus in Moorea. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly. It's a relaxed environment and perfect for a break from the high end restaurants on Moorea.
Highly recommend. I had the chicken panini and it was awesome. The husband and wife that own this are very kind, and they do speak English too if you don’t speak French. The sandwhiches are large but portable to take with you as you walk, but there is also seating available for dine in. There are vegetarian options also.

Wow!!!! Simply amazing food. We had the fish special (grilled fish in lemon sauce) and also the mi-cuit “half-cooked” fish (tuna). Both the main meals and the side dishes were incredibly tasty and plentiful (even the rice was special). The only downside was the wait time. It was busy when we arrived, so we knew to expect a delay. Drinks came fast but food took around an hour. There was a live singer performing which meant the wait didn’t feel long. If you’re in no rush, enjoy the atmosphere and get ready for some superb food - it really is worth any wait.

Passed by a couple of times unknowing that this please had maybe the best food we have had on Moorea. Even though they were very busy , the girl serving us took the time and explained the whole menu in English and helped us choose our dishes. Great live music.Best coconut ice cream!!Don't miss it !

They serve sandwiches, paninis, and burgers but if you want a main meal they do that too. Just be prepared to hang out for about 45 min before the food comes out. FOOD IS WORTH THE WAIT. we had the specials of the day: veal, raw tuna, shrimp, calamari, moon fish, grilled tuna, cole slaw, papaya salad and fried rice. Delicious !!! The fish was super fresh, had zero fishy taste. Everything was scrumptious!!! Great vibe. Loved the staff.

Took 30 minutes to get menus, told her we were ready to order when she dropped them off, took another 10 to get back to us. Then 40 minutes to get the food. The fish burger was mid. Hardly any flavor. To top it off we got sick a few hours later!!! The waitress was running around doing 5 people's jobs and everyone else was hardly aware of where they worked.
Marisa B — Google review
Food was good, a little bit of a wait but good. It does get hot over there and no fans so the flys tend to take over. We got the Australian chicken sandwich and the fish sandwich, with was a tuna steak for the day. Both were decent

This lunch spot was delicious! I got the ham & cheese baguette and my husband got the grilled fish baguette, both were served with fries. I recommend getting the house orange smoothie & house lemonade. They were both refreshing! We got there around 11:45am and ordered immediately. It did take about an hour to get our food—but we were on island time! Don’t be in a rush, enjoy the time.

With a patio and dining room with ocean views & savory food, this place can’t be beat! We visited twice, the first on a food tour, where we sampled the coconut fish and chicken with spinach (local dishes). We returned for lunch and had savory prawns in coconut curry & delicious battered tuna burger. Paired with Hinano local brew, this was perfection!

Lovely stop for lunch. All the food seems to sell out by end of the day. We managed to get the special of the day, moonfish with creamed spinach sauce and ratatouille which was perfectly cooked. They also had an excellent burger and chocolate lava cake with ice cream. Very satisfied.

Great little Cafe and well priced. The food was amazing, great omelettes and the poisson cru was the best. Try the vanilla coffee and a fresh cut cool coconut juice. You will not be disappointed. A must go back to spot for breakfast or lunch.

Was a little hard to find the restaurant as the advertisement was minimal however wasn’t that difficulty to locate it .we got to the restaurant right at 8am when they opened and there was no wait. We ate breakfast here and thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and view. We sat on the outside patio and looked out at the ocean. portion size are big! we both got the American breakfast. Which is well worth the money. The tropical juice is amazing - first time trying it. Would recommend for breakfast !

Just steps from the sea, this casual spot offers an array of mouthwatering dishes, including free-range grilled chicken and local seafood favorites. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, perfect for enjoying genuine street food with friends or family at small tables. Guests rave about the homemade lime juice and refreshing pineapple drinks that perfectly complement their meals.
Awesome food. We tried tuna fish burger, grilled spearfish with vanilla sauce and shrimp with curry sauce. All of them were excellent. Very reasonable price. Not a formal restaurant but very friendly.

It just wasn't good. My poisson cru wasn't terrible, but my wife's grilled tuna was just that. A piece of overcooked tuna with no spices whatsoever, with a spoon of white rice. The best part is that it was open on a day everything else was closed.
Michael B — Google review
We ate at La Paillote many times during our past two visits to Moo'rea because its by far the cheapest place around and the portions are decent, plus the chicken is, well, great! The other dishes we had were mixed, so I suggest sticking with what they're good at, and they didn't have beer. The hours can be a bit difficult to predict, because there were a few times we went by when they were supposed to be open, and the owner told us they were closed for various reasons. It's very cute to eat there, but also good for takeout.

If you miss lunch, there is always dinner at 6pm! Enjoy the Quebec experience in a paradise environment!

This restaurant does a wonderful take on a traditional burger. I had the Quebecois burger that included lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheese, and mushrooms along with a delicious burger sauce. Everything was well seasoned, cooked to order and the staff were very kind and accommodating. The only thing to note is that they don't have more than 10-12 tables so if you don't make a reservation or go early for dinner you could be turned away. Otherwise we were very pleased with the meal, the service, and the awesome playlist on the radio 😁

Loved this place nestled in the middle of the water bangalôs. The crepe is delicious. Dinner time you have the opportunity to see sharks. Some people prefer to come for the sunset but the sharks are nice too.

We enjoyed our dinners at the creperie, where we ordered both savory and sweet crepes. There is somewhat of a limited menu but they accommodated special requests. Staff was friendly and attentive. All of the seating is outside with a limited number of tables under cover near the bar. The remainder of the tables are situated on the boardwalk in somewhat close quarters.

We were pleasantly surprise by the delicious crepe, they have a variety of selections for both galette and crepe. My favorite was the teiki galette and the Suzette crepe. The staff was super friendly. They only have a few tables and were almost full but nicely accommodated us a table, make sure to reserve in advance. The sunset view was incredible! During our dinner, a shark family greeted us and stays around for over an hour which occupied our kids the whole dinner time :) Kids menu is great and is free for 12 and younger!

Definitely come here at sunset for a delicious crêpe dinner. You will not be disappointed when you look down in the water and see all the fish and sharks swimming around. The food is really good and the service is spectacular. Everyone here is so friendly and the quality is way up there. Sit back, grab a beer and a great dinner and enjoy the view.

This restaurant is on Hilton property. Hours are sporadic and they relocate due to weather. It is located on the pier center between overwater bungalows. Our group thought it strange to make a crepe place a dinner spot. There are only two dinner choices a night at the Hilton. They rotate between three locations and when wind or rain is expected they relocate to the buffet area. I have posted the menu to allow to make a choice if it is right for you. Location is cool at night. It is indoor/outdoor. Mostly outdoor. Most seats are near an edge and often black tip shark are swimming below. The night we had reservations, it relocated to the inside buffet area. As such none of our group could order a fish crepe so we ordered off the other outdoor relocated restaurant menu. It sounds better but not so much. But better than fish in a crepe. After dinner off the other menu we tried dessert crepes. They just didn’t do it for us. We tried the Normandy, Suzette and Bounty between 6 of us. We didn’t finish one. They may be for some and my wife loves crepes, but these did not do it for us. With limited food choices here it’s hard to avoid when you stay for a week. I have read so many other reviews about eating off property and I would have to agree. It may cost more but it tastes better. I also enjoy being out with the locals. In closing my review is on the down side but I must say the staff at this restaurant are pleasant, helpful and always have a smile. They are what make this location.
David M — Google review
There are much better places to watch fish, rays and reef sharks while eating! Try Snack Mahana in Moorea, Coco Beach in Moorea, or La Plage de Maui in Tahiti Iti instead. We were seated at an outer table near a guest bungalow with no lighting over the water so our view was very dark. The inner tables were much brighter. We happened to see one eagle ray as we were approaching our seats but then absolutely NO wildlife during dinner. I kept looking down throughout dinner but besides the fact that it was very dark in the water, it did not appear that anything swam past or under us. I realize you can't control wildlife but our experience was nothing like previous reviews. It was also a very windy evening and everyone's plastic menus kept blowing into the ocean. The staff kept blaming customers for losing the menus instead of proactively anchoring the menus! To their credit, they did offer us to move tables to something in the covered area beside the kitchen. This restaurant only opens after sunset so it is naturally very dark if you are not in the inner part of the restaurant. There is a beer happy hour here from 4 to 5 p.m. before sunset. Food and drink were as expected. Our airbnb host made a reservation for us here upon request. We did not stay overnight at the Hilton, but the one thing we do recommend is happy hour drinks on the main bar deck at the hotel facing the sunset. This was however a nice experience to be able to see the property from the perspective of the overwater pontoon. I ate the Papy Claude duck pear Roquefort crepe with a glass of Brut cider. The Roquefort was overpowering. I'm a Hilton Honors member. But I would recommend leaving this property for lunch and dinner whenever possible to experience the real Tahitian food and culture!

Nestled in the heart of Moorea, Restaurant Tiahura Chez Irène is a delightful seafood paradise that captures the essence of Polynesian dining. The menu primarily features an array of fish dishes, both raw and grilled, with generous portions that won't break the bank.
Chez Irene - what a gem. We were on Mo’orea for the day and friends recommended the restaurant. It did not disappoint. The owner was SO lovely and helpful with the menu, which is tough when everything is so good. We went “special board” route, and started with the tuna carpaccio with passion fruit and ginger, coconut bread and taro piece with French fries. Ah-mazing! The flavor was absolute perfection. For our mains, we got the whole parrot fish with Tahitian shrimp and the tuna in spicy coconut curry sauce and coconut rice. Both were sensational and so much flavor. We ended the meal with taro flavored ice cream. Might be the best flavor we’ve ever had. Combine butter, brownie and cookie dough all together and that’s what it tastes like. OH, and you can’t forget their cocktails. Honestly, fantastic meal - would recommend ten times over.
Natalie C — Google review
We had the parrotfish and coconut crab as we are avid seafood lovers and wanted to try something new. The coconut crab tasted off and was gritty, a typical texture of previously frozen crab, so we asked the waiter if it was fresh and at first we were assured that it was. Perhaps it was the crab’s texture itself being very different from all the other types of crabs we have tried? Then, we were told by another staff member that it was frozen on the way here. We mentioned it to the staff member and were told that’s just how the crab is. I am aware it’s a premium product, but if it was of such low quality to the point it was sour, it shouldn’t be sold. Sauces were fine. The parrotfish was fried to a crisp and dry, after having it in various other tropical places we now know it isn’t just the fish, it’s the preparation. The sides are good. Both mains were way overpriced for value and not worth it if you know your shellfish.
Rachel L — Google review
This little restaurant was a fantastic find. The server (owner?) thoroughly explained the menu and gave excellent recommendations. She could not have been more attentive. She even chased us down to bring us what was left of the bottled water. The food was fabulously prepared. Will definitely dine here again on our next visit.

Garlic butter shrimp with rice and coconut bread shown in photo was good. My partner got tuna curry that was on special. Good flavor, but not spicy, super mild. Friendly staff.
Katrina C — Google review
Tried coconut crab for the first time here — and it was absolutely delicious! 🦀 The owner lady was incredibly kind and took the time to explain everything on the menu in detail. The garlic shrimp was also amazing, and she suggested replacing the rice with a fresh salad, which turned out to be a great choice — lighter and super tasty. The whole meal felt almost like a French fine-dining experience, with elegant plating and thoughtful presentation. Yes, the coconut crab is market price, so it’s not cheap — but it’s definitely worth it for such a unique local specialty. The coffee and fresh juice were both excellent too.
Liah C — Google review
My husband and I came here on a whim after seeing all the great reviews. We came about 15 minutes before it opened and had no idea about the reservations but were still met with kindness and were seated immediately. The food here was mouthwatering and delicious! I could honestly kiss the chef of how good it was. I ordered the chicken with shrimp in garlic butter sauce and my husband ordered the wahoo with fries and a side of vanilla cream sauce. The veggies were fantastic and the coconut bread was homemade. If there’s any spot you need to go to it’s this one, so well worth it and so darn good!
Ashlie G — Google review
Great restaurant with amazing local cuisine. + the grilled mahi mahi and the shrimp/octopus duo were delicious + the offer coconut bread as side dish (in addition to the white rice). The coconut flavor is to die for if you are a huge coconut fan like me + lovely staff and fast service The place was quite busy so I would recommend booking a table in advance, especially if you are a big group. Limited parking spots available at the restaurant.

Staying at the Hilton Moorea for our honeymoon - this was a very short walk for lunch and it was the best meal we had in Tahiti. The tuna burger was fresh, beyond perfectly seasoned and cooked - the French fries were unreal. The Thai salad was refreshing and would recommend that as well as a main dish. The chocolate mousse was fine dining. Please note it is a cash only establishment. Must do 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is a lovely place with lovely hosts. I had the shrimp curry and my wife had the Tuna. Both were delicious, now please don’t come here expecting a curry as you would get around Asia, come with an open mind and you won’t be disappointed. To the reviewer complaining about vegetarian nasi goreng, you need to grow up, it’s not the hosts fault and you shouldn’t complain about pricing … if you don’t like what available or on the menu then walk away rather than leaving 1* review - you’re on a remote island and the world doesn’t revolve around you. Anyway, if you’re as attractive to sand flies as I am - then be sure to spray some insect repellent before visiting. Highly recommended!
Kartik C — Google review
My family of 6 went to the restaurant hungry and ready to enjoy a great meal. It was hard to get into with parking not quite available, our food took a long time to prepare, and then my meal was eaten by a chicken that jumped on the table. I asked for another sandwich, and I was refused because the owner indicated I had eaten the sandwich. I barely had one bite and had divided the sandwich with my Mom. I hope they realize that treating every customer like they are valuable is important!

Food truck by a nice garden, with lots of coconut trees in front and not far from the Hilton. Overpriced like everywhere else on the island and the portions are not big. I had the Poisson cru, which was basically some raw fish in coconut sauce. But it was lacking salt, and could use a lot more kick of spice like capsicum and some herbs like coriander, basil, mint for spring onions. The owners are super friendly and the place has a nice vibe, but you will end up hungry after your meal.

This is where you dream of eating when you dream of Moorea. Amazing food made from scratch. I had the fresh tuna burger and my wife had the fresh tuna curry. I also had a fresh juice - unbelievable. And for dessert, the passion fruit tiramisu - how is this real. Do not skip this place.

We were staying at Hilton Moorea so getting to Lilikoi was an easy quick walk across the street. We absolutely loved everything we ordered! We had fresh juice, tuna sashimi, poisson cru, and maybe our favorite.. biscoff and passion fruit tiramisu. We’re bummed we didn’t have enough time to go back for a second meal!

Considering this is supposed to be a five-star resort, the food is OK. Drinks are anywhere between $20-$30 apiece. Beer and water anywhere from seven to $10 each and you’re looking at between $30-$50 for lunch. The food is OK. The fries always seem to be served cold, yuck. Just a very disappointing experience for what you’re paying. The staff however, is wonderful as is the atmosphere.

A little pricey for Ok small portion food but for a hotel on an island it's not a surprise. Time waiting for food kinda long (20-30 mins). Fruit punch mocktail sucks, taste like cheap bottle juice, super sweet but 1500 XPF.

Delicious food. But overpriced by starving Hilton corporate office. Amazing location by the beachfront. $6.5 for coke. It’s painful to discuss the price on the menu. Catch your fish in the lagoon. Eat it raw or grill it in your bungalow.
Manhattan I — Google review
This restaurant is inside the Hilton. It’s right on the beach and appears clean. Have eaten there 3 times in a sense. Once on the beach via service, lunch, then dinner. The menu is the same for all meals. The menu seams expansive but lots of substitutions on their part. Flavor is a bit lacking. Prices on some things are a bit crazy. My wife ordered a glass of champagne. It was $26 for a 14ml pour which is about 3/4” on the bottom of a small plastic cup. Not appealing and makes it about 48 pours per bottle. That makes the 750 ml bottle get about 45 pours at 14ml per pour. That means that bottle is over $1000. A bit extreme and the last order of that. Starters were good but nothing exceptional. I ordered a seared tuna. The server brought a plate and said who has the swordfish. I said I ordered the tuna and he replied “ oh this is the tuna.” It was swordfish for sure. We saw a few pasta dishes and pizza. They looked ok but neither in a style we like. I didn’t expect this but had a burger for lunch. Other than a lot of aïoli it was a really good burger. My fife and I could have split it but she ordered a chicken club sandwich that was ok due to the bacon being very chewy. I have critiqued the food a bit and I think I should. Now I want to comment on the staff. ALL are great. They carry a smile in all they do and want to be of good service. I would say the staff is the highlight of this location. We would never go out of our way to come back but tough with few options at this location.

If you love seafood, you will enjoy your visit to Le No Stress! There are 7 tables out on the front porch and several more tucked way inside. We came here for lunch and tried a mix of seafood. This dish was fresh, good, and good for you!

Out of ~15 Poisson Crus I tried while on Tahiti and Moorea, this was hands down the best. Something about it made it so distinct from the others… fresher, meatier pieces of tuna, more creamy coconut milk… it was superb. Honorable mention to their tuna carpaccio with passion fruit and ginger. Delicious!

Delicious seafood!! We were very excited to arrive here and find that their seafood options were more expansive than shrimp and fish. I ordered the clams on their specials of the day menu. The clams were fantastic! They were served in this wonderful broth and cooked well. My husband ordered the octopus. The octopus was amazing. Very well cooked and well seasoned. This dish is a must order. Highly recommend this for one of your meals

We discovered this place as we were driving around the island and wow did we get lucky! We arrived before they were officially open, but Stella seated us and got us started with drinks and the menu, as the owner and staff finished their “family” brunch together. We chose the seafood trio (seared tuna, mahi, and shrimp) and tuna carpaccio. My wife got a rum drink and I got a Bordeaux. The food was amazing…. I discovered the taste of true paprika, which flavored my wife’s carpaccio to perfection. My shrimp were perfectly prepared with garlic, parsley, olive oil etc. Similar to what I have enjoyed recently in Barcelona. The mahi was cooked to perfection, and the seared tuna was impeccable. Amazing staff, dedicated to the restaurant and very caring for the customer. Now off to the beach to sleep it off.

Really good food, fresh taste and the cocktails were tasty as well. Went for lunch and they were nice to serve us even though it was almost closing. Looked great as well, very Tahintian.

We loved our dinner at Le No Stress. The food was excellent (shout out Curry Coconut Prawn Risotto) and service even better. We will only be in town for a couple of days but will consider coming back for a second stint as there were other dishes in the menu that looked promising:: Grilled Squid I am looking at you!

Best meals in Moorea are in Le No Stress. We are 6 people, we ordered a variety of dishes and desserts and everything was excellent. The restaurant is run by French family who used to own several restaurants in France. So it feels like you are eating in France. Exquisite, good flavors, beautiful presentation, Aldo good size portions. Our fave: trois mers, magret de canard, Crème Brûlée.

The bar and grill Sea You Soon Moorea is a great place to enjoy French cuisine, international dishes and Polynesian food. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service friendly. There is also good pizza available. Happy hour specials are half-price until 6:30pm, making it a great value for money.
Our favorite neighborhood restaurant. They have a varied menu with veggie options, daily specials and can accommodate special requests. Here, you will find the best, friendliest service staff, and it’s because Sofie, the owner sets a high standard. Everyone is warmly welcomed and attended. We love the Parme pizza and their coffee also deserves a mention - one of the island’s best cups.

We went with a group of 7 without reservations but they fit us in It was busy all night (Monday) so I would suggest reservations We all got different meals but I thought all of them were good The burgers are huge as was the raw tuna. The fish of the day (barracuda) was great. The poke bowls were tasty and filling Happy hour drinks were available until 1830 Friendly service

Pizza was awful. We ended up just having 1 slice each and feeding the rest to the doggies we met along the road. Staff were nice, but took a few stars off because it was the only place on the island that didn’t allow us to bring in our own reusable water bottles that were already filled with water.

Went out to dinner every night for the 7 days we stayed. This was our favorite. Went twice. Food was very tasty! The menu had the most variety, & it was also the lowest priced & open prior to 530pm for dinner.

An awesome restaurant and bar. They have live music on a Saturday night. And it’s got a great vibe. Prices are fair and food is good with large portions. Friendly staff. What more can you ask for. Ohh no reservations required. It’s large and there is plenty of seating.

Fun place on saturday night with music. Food is very tasty with big portions. A lot of locals, which is always a good sign. On peak hours parking can be challenging.

Nice selection of dishes and cocktails. + by far the best cocktails we’ve had on the island. The Moscow mule and the disaronno sour were very good + the sword dish was delicious. Generous portions too

Came here three times during my week in Mo'orea, that’s how good it was! I tried two different pizzas on separate nights, and both were delicious. On another visit, I ordered the shrimp curry, which was packed with flavor. One night we split the chocolate molten lava cake for dessert, and it was absolutely spectacular! Highly recommend stopping by: great food, great atmosphere, and definitely worth a visit (or three).

Nestled within the stunning Sofitel Hotel, Pure is a culinary gem that offers an exquisite blend of local and international flavors. With breathtaking views of the lagoon from its expansive outdoor deck, this restaurant creates a perfect backdrop for al fresco dining. Guests can indulge in themed buffets several times a week while enjoying live entertainment every evening. Breakfast at Pure is a delightful experience with options ranging from fresh omelets to traditional Poisson Cru, ensuring there's something for everyone.
We enjoyed a lovely breakfast here while staying in our bungalow. One of the best fresh buffets with island fruit, fresh pancakes, fresh juices, breakfast meats and yogurts. We also had dinner here the night before and their fish was perfection! It is moderate-high priced depending on what you plan to order. The views are spectacular so get your reservations for any meal early and enjoy a relaxing experience.

Restaurant over looking the water inside of Sofitel hotel. This is where the breakfast buffet is every morning as well as lunch and dinner options during the day. The view is paradise. We stayed here for a few nights and didn’t leave the resort so we dined here often. The service is lacking and could be improved for such an expensive hotel. The breakfast buffet was exactly the same food everyday. They serve breakfast from 6a-10a. Be sure to show up before 9:15a or the hot food will be gone and it is never replenished even though breakfast is supposed to be served until 10a. Polynesian buffet dinner and dance was fun and the food was delicious! Don’t skip this. On our last night we were sat at a table with only one menu to share because they ran out, and it took someone 10-15 min to even greet us. Our food came out before our drinks which is less than ideal as well. If you don’t want to leave the resort this restaurant will do, but I recommend maybe trying something outside of the resort for a better experience. Just keep in mind that taxis are NOT cheap on the island and they only accept cash. The resort does not have an ATM either.

We had complementary breakfast at the Pure Restaurant and they had variety of options from vegetarian to meats. They also had their traditional cuisine Poisson Cru which tasted yum(had those for all the days during our stay)! For one of our lunches and dinner we had a pizza and burger they tasted really good too! Would definitely recommend to try out this place. The service is amazing especially Tatiana(the manager), takes care of people very well and is friendly to everyone. She makes all our food dietary needs are met! They have multiple options for coffee and tea and can also make any custom ones. They also have a stall for hot breakfast like omelette n pancakes! Last but not the least the location of the restaurant with the view is spectacular!

Let me start by saying that we did not stay at this resort while on Moorea but we ate there multiple times because it was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and willing to give us reservations for breakfast and dinner on various days. The scenery, atmosphere, food and the service were exceptional. It is more expensive than other restaurants on the island but you get what you pay for. The breakfast buffet is the best on the island with a great selection of cold and hot options (the pastries are my favorite). The dinner was excellent as well. We had the vegetarian noodle salad, fish of the day, shrimp penne and the kids fish. All with great flavor. Shout out to Torea, he gave us the best service on the island! We also ate there for the Polynesian dinner. Great entertainment and buffet selection.

Casa Vincenzo offers delicious Italian pizza in a charming setting on Moorea. The staff are friendly and the pizzas are excellent. This is an ideal place to enjoy a casual meal with friends.
Great option for pizza and drinks. Make sure you go to their website to make a reservation as they prepare their dough days in advance based on the day’s reservations. We ordered a pizza per person and usually had about half a pizza leftover which they will happily pack up for you. Their wine selection is good and we had the Chianti both times we went as the cost per bottle seemed like the better deal for us cost wise. I had a traditional pizza and a white pizza and enjoyed the traditional pizza’s sauce more but I really enjoyed the pizza dough/crust. Great service here. Both times we went we had two servers working the whole place and they were hustling! Pay at the cashier when you are ready to leave (ask your server for your table number). There are like three parking spots right in front - otherwise most people just park along the road. Recommended!

Absolutely incredible place. Would consider this at top pizza place in any part of the world, evermore so surprising to find such quality on the west side of the island. Make sure to make reservations. Limited seating. Limited opening times.

We visited the restaurant yesterday. We had one of the best pizza we ever had😍We are from Germany and have been to Italy so many times but its really hard to find such a good pizza even in Napoli. We had the Nduja Pizza and the Pesto Pizza. Nduja was really good but the Pesto was incredible. The dough is like heaven and all the ingredients taste homemade. A bite of it gives you so many tastes it’s hard to figure out what you like most

Easily the best pizza and lemon tarts we have ever had. And prices are soooo reasonable! Service was outstanding. We are seriously considering a 10k mile round trip back just to get more of their food!!! lol

Pizzas are good, but be cautious with extras as they can be very pricey, in my case i ordered a regular ham and mozzarella pizza for about 2000 XPF and asked for additional burrata on top. I was surprised to be charged an extra 950 XPF just for a small portion of burrata - half the cost of the pizza itself. Maybe the burrata was hand-carried from Italy to Polynesia in someone’s backpack - that would explain the price.
Ziggy K — Google review
The best pizza in French Polynesia! We ordered the foresta and the burrata. Both were incredibly good. Good portion size and tasted just as great the next day!

Best Neapolitan-style pizza with a light, soft crust. You feel like you’re in Italy, but you’re actually on Moorea. The place is really clean, and the staff pay great attention to hygiene standards. Highly recommended: make a reservation in advance, as it’s always busy and you might not get a table—especially if you want to enjoy their pizza.

The InterContinental Resort And Spa Moorea offers a refined beachfront retreat with warm rooms and bungalows. Guests can enjoy dining, spa treatments, and access to a marine center. One of the must-do activities is visiting the Dolphin Center, which offers three different packages for an unforgettable experience in Tahiti. Another recommended attraction is the Robert Wan Pearl Museum, where visitors can learn about black pearls and explore various jewelry and skincare products made from them.
This resort was great for my wife and myself. Our bungalow faced the dolphin center and we were in close proximity to the sea turtle habitat. The resort had so much to offer that we almost had no reason to leave between going to the spa, eating excellent food, using the free amenities such as kayak and snorkeling gear and of course relaxing by the pool and the beach. When we wanted to book an excursion, the staff did a great job at helping us find something as well as kept us informed with schedule changes and whether cancellations due to rain. We loved it here!

Stayed for 6 days and 5 nights in January. The property is absolutely beautiful! We upgraded to the over the water bungalow and it was well worth the stay! The room was recently renovated and in great condition! The view from the room was breathtaking! Our favorite part was jumping off the patio to snorkel in the small lagoon!

We had a fantastic stay at one of their beach front bungalows and loved every minute of it. There was construction going on but it was only by the front desk area, away from the beach front bungalows. The room was very clean. We did the seafood buffet and show one night and it was awesome, the dancers did a great job! The breakfast buffet was fantastic! The staff was extremely friendly, especially one of the concierge’s, Pierre, he went above and beyond to help answer every question we had about activities and gave us his undivided attention. I would highly recommend this gorgeous hotel!

Probably one of the best places we've stayed. The bungalow over the water is perfect. There are large attached decks with ladder access in to the water. The decks have an area with sun exposure and a nicely covered area for shade. The rooms are quite large with king sized beds. The restaurant is somewhat expensive.
Peter B — Google review
Beautiful resort! We stayed for 3 nights in February & didn't get rain at all during our stay. The staff is friendly & helpful. You get a free hour everyday of the stay to use the kayaks or paddleboards which is nice to explore the lagoon. They have a dolphin center & sea turtles. The food is pricey so we found a store about a 10 min walk which offers reasonable prices. Overall it's very beautiful & peaceful, I really enjoyed our stay.
Karina H — Google review
Stayed on the resort in one of the overwater bungalows for a couple of nights in November booked through Groupon. The room was better than advertised and we loved being able to snorkel off of our back deck. Our room was clean and professionally maintained. All of the staff were professional and spoke English very well. They helped us with everything we needed and gave a detailed explanation of the area. All of the food we ate at the resort was good but pricey (the price is common across most restaurants as far as we could tell). The resort is near a small market so we bought some food and drinks there which saves us some money. We had the breakfast included in our room rate and it is excellent. Strongly suggest going that route if possible. You can rent bikes from the resort to explore a little further out which weren't expensive. We enjoyed snorkeling around the resort the most since they have coral reefs to checkout. We suggest bringing your our snorkeling gear but the resort has equipment to rent.
Adam M — Google review
Stayed here 4 days on our honeymoon. People weren't the friendliest but the shows were great and this hotel has plenty to keep you busy. We went snorkeling, kayaking, hiking rented a scooter drove around the entire island. The fish are and views are beautiful. Met people from all around the globe. They had scuba diving, fishing water sports. We visited a nearby village for dinner it was nice but the food was not what we expected. Loved our trip. Look forward to taking our kids back someday
Colleen P — Google review
This resort is beautiful! The food and drinks are delicious (at all 4 restaurants). The rooms are very private and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and they speak both English and French. For those of you reading this from the US, my only complaints about this resort are minor: food and beverages are quite pricey ($6.50 for a 1L bottle of water, and they will not offer tap water), and the water temperature and pressure is variable compared to what we are used to. The resort offers free use of kayaks, snorkels, and SUPs. The lagoon is calm and good for safely doing water activities. There are two infinity pools next to the beach as well. Overall, my stay was lovely and I highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Moorea!

Offers most, if not all, of the staples on Mo’orea—fresh fish, grilled meats, and burgers—at fair prices. Incredible value for dependably great taste. Would probably eat here every day if it were closer to my accommodation.

This is a must try for anyone looking for a hearty lunch with the best fresh fish. We ordered the mahi-mahi with rice, a salad, and the ahi steaks with poisson cru (raw fish) and french fries. The menu has photos but no direct french to English translation for travelers. The food is very fresh and comes out hot. It does take some time for the food to arrive but when it does, you will know it was worth the wait. The only down side is that there were many flies swarming us and our food when we sat outside. Great staff, very friendly. We will be coming back again!

This place is amazing. To the naked eye it doesn’t look like much but the food is insanely good and at a decent price as well. The poisson cru is so delicious. The portions are great and even the steak was amazing, and that’s coming from an American that can eat a lot of food. Highly recommend

Good service, mediocre entrees. Very good side salad and french fries - great, house-made dressing for the salad. My wife liked the vegetarian egg rolls. The poison cru was average as was the sashimi and tuna tartar (didn't strike me as that fresh). Portions are generous. The patio is covered, but, needs some fans to move the air around. For a local, the winter (mid-June) weather may seem pleasant, but, for visitors, some airflow (fans) would help cool things off when the winds are calm. They do have one fan, but, not enough to service the entire patio. Had to keep swatting the occasional fly away - something we didn't contend with at an across the street competitor. Maybe a fan would help keep the flies at bay. Accepts credit cards.

Nestled on a point of land between Opunohu and Cook Bays, the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa offers a serene escape with relaxed bungalows, including overwater options. The resort is renowned for its exceptional snorkeling reefs, just yards from the shore and extending beneath the overwater bungalows.
The Hilton in Moorea was truly magical. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Their warmth and attentiveness made our stay feel incredibly special. The food was absolutely outstanding. The buffet dinner, in particular, was a highlight — not only was every dish delicious, but it was paired with a gorgeous Polynesian show that made the evening unforgettable. We also got massages at the beautiful spa, which is located right on the beach with amazing views. We highly recommend the jasmine-scented oil and doing the couples massage. It was relaxing, romantic, and one of our favorite parts of the trip. Snorkeling was another highlight. We saw so many beautifully colored fish in the clear, warm water just steps from our room. Everything about our stay was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and celebrate. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a magical escape.

We had the most exceptional time at this hotel. All of the staff are incredibly kind and friendly, the rooms are beautiful, and the property is beyond gorgeous. I have MANY severe food allergies and the entire staff, especially head Chef Jerome, went way out of their way to accommodate me. They made me allergy-safe food at every meal, whether or not it was on the menu. I could even eat at the dinner and breakfast buffets due to their kind accommodations. Chef Jerome personally walked me through the dinner buffet telling me what I could and could not eat. I have truly never in my life experienced such incredible assistance for my allergies anywhere. Also great snorkeling reef right out in the front and I got the best massage of my life at the spa there. Bonus: there are several cats who live on the property who are absolutely adorable and that made our visit even better! It could not have been better! Could not more highly recommend, especially for folks with food allergies like myself.

Overall experience was great. Not perfect. But all problems were addressed. I came with relatively low expectations due to the reviews I read here. I also had big disappointment when I noticed that our bangalô (#26) was separated from the other one just by a door. There was no information about that when I booked the room. I complained and the manager addressed and gave different options to us which I was very happy with. The highlight of the hotel, after the beach, for us was the crepe restaurant where you can see sharks while having dinner. They come after 7pm. And the crepe is just like in France. Snorkeling at the beach is a great experience. The hotel offers kayaks, snorkel, paddle boards, etc. The breakfast is good and plenty of options to choose from. The bangalô we stayed was very nice and I did not feel outdated. It was just rustic, which both of us liked. The best drink is the mocktail Virgin Colada made of coconut. I also liked that the hotel was not crowded. Just the right amount of people which is rare. There are some cons that I wish they could fix: - We were warned about a $150 fee if we lose the plastic keys. This is way too much and made us be worried about the keys all the time. Those keys cost $0.10. - None of the outdoor furnitures had cushions. For a luxury hotel was not nice - Plastic cards for towels, seriously?

We stayed at the Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort for our honeymoon, and while the scenery and location are undeniably beautiful, our experience unfortunately fell far short of expectations — especially for a 5-star Hilton property. • Wi-Fi: The internet connection was a complete mess — constantly disconnecting and extremely slow when it worked. This was frustrating, especially considering the resort’s category and price point. • Room Keys: Our room keys stopped working four times in just four days, requiring multiple trips back to reception to have them reactivated. • Breakfast Policy: As Diamond members, we had breakfast included, but here they differentiate between “cold” and “hot” breakfast. Hot breakfast — which simply includes eggs or pancakes (not particularly fresh either) — costs an additional $9 per person per day. That’s quite disappointing and feels like the hotel is trying to squeeze every extra dollar from guests. • Diamond Benefits: Early check-in and late check-out, which are standard Diamond perks, were both denied due to “availability.” • Entertainment: The resort lacks any real evening entertainment. Everything is quiet after sunset, with only one Polynesian show offered three times a week — and you must pay $100 per person to attend, including a rather average buffet dinner. • Room Condition: We stayed in an overwater bungalow, which was pleasant overall, but the structure is showing clear signs of age and insufficient maintenance — several pillars of the bungalows have visible cracks. Overall, while Moorea itself is stunning and the overwater experience was enjoyable, the stay felt far below the standard expected from a Hilton resort, especially for loyal Diamond members. There’s great potential here, but significant improvements are needed in service quality, maintenance, and guest experience.

Spent 5 nights at Hilton Moorea. Staff were professional and willing to help. Stayed in bungalow #31. Although clean and quiet, the space was in need of refurbishing both inside and out. Breakfast buffet was hearty and plentiful. Buffet dinners on 2 nites of stay. First buffet food was not warm. Second buffet was better in terms of hot food.

We stayed in the Hilton Moorea over-the-water bungalows (#93). It was great to be on the leeward side as the windward side got pretty windy. While the bungalow could use some maintenance, it was a great size. Bed was comfortable, shower and bathroom large, big deck overlooking the water and steps down to another deck that had a ladder to get in the water. We snorkeled a couple of times and saw some nice fish. Also, from the walkway I saw an Eagle Ray! Views (even though we didn't have the panoramic view) were great. Now for the not so good, in no special order. The walkway is uneven getting into the bungalow (we're pretty sturdy, but tripped a couple times). The water was not drinkable in the bungalow. There are bottle fillers, but they aren't necessarily convenient. They do provide bottles. The staff. The woman who was the director of the front desk (was sitting at that desk later) was downright rude. Concierge was helpful, but again, not happy. Food was not great, especially in main dining and the lunch dining by the water. The exception is breakfast in main dining, and the creperie - those were good. The servers also did not seem happy. Seems like a management issue sadly. I literally had one bell person (name started with AR, tall and slim) who went out of his way to help. Above check-in had directed me to a water source that wasn't there, and he kindly took me to one that was, and took us to our room once we could finally check in. You'd think they'd have water in the main lobby!

Our experience was great ,starting from first moment, very kind crew ,porter was so welcoming and helpful. Villa was very clean and perfect. Food was excellent. Staff on the beach was super friendly and very helpful The only thing we didn’t like is ,that reception send us to find room by ourselves, which was a bit surprising,we are golden members and we expected someone to show us our villa . In general very good value for money. Highly recommended!🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

It’s sad to say, but I honestly couldn’t wait to leave this resort. The hostess at breakfast is so rude, she started the day off bad every day. She also works at the lunch restaurant so we couldn’t escape her miserable attitude. The Wi-Fi here is also so bad. I understand that it’s a remote island, but we went to restaurants here with much better Wi-Fi so it’s unacceptable that the Hilton does not have better Wi-Fi for its guests.

Nestled in the stunning Moorea, Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea Beach Resort offers a chic and polished retreat with private beach access, dining options, a bar, pool, and spa. The resort's prime location on a golden beach provides breathtaking views of the turquoise waters and Tahiti island. Guests can enjoy various amenities such as free wifi, wheelchair accessibility, breakfast in the room, 24-hour reception service, massages, and a private beach area.
Sofitel had great ambience and vibe. We loved the traditional Tahitian touches of the villas and snorkeling off the beach was simply amazing. The bed was the most comfortable one throughout our trip. Amazing dinner at K restaurant. The pearls at the shop were one of the best quality ones. Our stay was super chill and relaxing and we would love to come back

The highlight of our trip was definitely our stay at Sofitel in the water bungalow. It was absolutely magical and beautiful in every way, and far beyond our expectations. We truly didn’t want to leave! The peacefulness of the bungalow and the stunning views and water color made for a memorable experience. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always going out of their way to make us feel welcome. We also did the jet ski tour, which was so much fun and a fantastic way to explore the area. The grounds were lush and well-maintained, creating a serene atmosphere for our stay. However, there were a few areas that could use some attention. The pool and bar areas, in particular, seemed to need a bit of love and care. It was clear that some parts of the facilities could use some updating to match the beauty of the surroundings. Another thing to note was the dining options—while we enjoyed our meals, we were a bit disappointed that the evening dining experiences were mainly buffets or 5-7 course meals. The bar menu was also quite limited, which was a bit of a letdown given the overall luxury of the resort. Despite these small drawbacks, we would absolutely return and look forward to another unforgettable stay at Sofitel.

We had an excellent stay at Sofitel Moorea. It was our first week of honeymoon , in total we had 3 weeks in French Polynesia. The staff were absolutely lovely — always smiling, kind, and attentive, which made our experience feel genuinely warm and welcoming. The hotel has a lively atmosphere, especially in the evenings with the entertainment full of good energy and fun. The setting is stunning, the beach is beautiful, and the facilities are very comfortable. If we could suggest one small improvement, it would be the food — both the taste and presentation could be a bit more refined to match the overall high standard of the resort. Overall, a wonderful stay in a paradise location, made truly special by an exceptional team! 🌺

I am completely baffled at the glowing reviews. Our experience in the overwater bungalows was quite the opposite. This was a special occasion, and as such, we only booked the Sofitel for 2 nights of our 7 day trip, due to the incredibly steep price tag. This was meant to be the highlight of our trip, and had been looking forward to it for months. While the snorkeling around the property was the best we had in Tahiti/Moorea, the bungalow itself left much to be desired: Shutter slats were broken/missing, leaving shutters inoperable on the side windows. Every time the toilet was flushed, the bathroom filled with a sewer smell. Found a huge cockroach crawling around on the bathroom counter. Two geckos on the ceiling above the bed chirping at each other. We are not accustomed to staying in such an expensive place, but I can say without a doubt, I’ve never had cockroaches and geckos in my room - ever! Management did let us check out a day early, and for that, I am most appreciative. We did not sleep well, between leaving the lights on for fear of more roaches, and the chirping of the geckos over our heads. I am absolutely embarrassed that we paid as much as we did, given the circumstances. There were far better waterfront places we stayed over the course of the week, at a fraction of the cost, and critter free!
Desha O — Google review
We stayed in an overwater bungalow at the Sofitel for one night during our honeymoon. The staff were so warm and welcoming! We were greeted with a refreshing drink and towel upon arrival, and even received a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room. The resort grounds are stunning, and snorkeling right off our bungalow was a highlight! We also really enjoyed the great selection at the breakfast buffet. That said, for the premium price of the overwater bungalow, I was disappointed with the room’s cleanliness. We found a leftover beer can on the deck, a dead cockroach in the closet, and a bug on one of the pillowcases. These details took away from what could have been an amazing, flawless experience. Overall, the location and staff were exceptional, but the cleanliness of our room didn’t meet the standards we expected for the price. I’d recommend the resort for its beauty and service, but I’d suggest considering a different room type until housekeeping standards are more consistent.

We stayed in a over the water bungalow and it was excellent. The bed was huge and comfortable, the pillows so soft. The layout was just right the the perfect amount of space. The water access was easy. The mini bar had the right selection. The sound of the waves breaking at the reef was very relaxing. The complementary breakfast was delicious. The staff was friendly and very professional. Can't wait to go back for longer stay.
Eduardo M — Google review
Bungalows are beautiful and spacious. Loved having a deck and the bed and pillows were great. Food was terrible and way over priced. $100 per person for a buffet that left me feeling sick for two days in a row. Fish was all over cooked. Breakfast buffet was nice. Location is isolated. Not sure I would stay there again based on location alone. We had a rental car but Sofitel is 40 minutes from the shops and restaurants.
Robin C — Google review
Grounds are beautiful and the staff are wonderful. Great snorkeling off the beach. There are a couple resident stray dogs on the grounds, us and other guests were concerned for their well being. It seems the Sofitel could sponsor the spay/neuter of these dogs, or I am sure guests would donate. This would improve the lives of the dogs and create a happier environment for the guests knowing they are somewhat cared for!

Nestled in a tranquil setting, Hotel Manava Beach Resort & Spa Moorea offers a charming blend of luxury and tranquility. The resort features spacious garden rooms, beachfront suites, and romantic overwater villas designed in traditional Polynesian style. Situated close to restaurants, boutiques, Cook's Bay, and the Moorea Golf Course, it provides easy access to local attractions.
This resort was absolutely beautiful. It was everything we could have asked for on this dream vacation. We had both a hotel room and a garden view room with a mini pool. Both rooms were clean and beautiful. The only complaint is our garden view room AC kept getting turned off, which was hard for my senior parents in the heat. But that is absolutely the only complaint we had. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was delicious. The pool was clean and beautiful. Plenty of activities available from kayaks to live entertainment multiple nights, to the option to make floral crowns and more. Their staff was friendly and beautiful people. They had some minor construction happening during our visit, but we were there at the end of their off-season, which just tells me they care for their property and do what they can to keep it well maintained. If you want a luxury experience without the crazy price tag, this is your place to go!

What a great spot to stay. Whatever grade of room you choose they are all great. This trip we had a garden view in the main block and were not disappointed at all. The facilities were excellent, the location is strong right in town with a number of great eateries within a few minutes walk if you don’t end up eating at the Resort after a few happy hour cocktails 😀. Cultural shows were excellent and on Saturday and Wednesday. Staff outstanding. The pool and snorkelling about the property were great. Loads of sea life as you might expect. I even happened on a shark and turtles right off the snorkelling platform. Would happily stay, swim, snorkel, drink and eat here anytime.

Staying at Manava is what made our honeymoon truly special. The overwater bungalow was worth it for the phenomenal views of the mountains, lagoon, coral, and fish. I’ve been to many tropical destinations but I’ve never seen as much coral and fish as I’ve seen here. It’s a great place to snorkel, but also you can see so much from the boardwalks. The service was attentive and made us feel at home. We loved how close the location was to restaurants, shops, and a grocery store. The staff even helped us arrange a guided hike with little notice and called taxis for us. I would highly recommend the coral grafting workshop which was informative and hands on. You won’t make a mistake by staying here.

My wife and I recently stayed at Manava Beach Resort & Spa and we loved our time there. We stayed for 5 nights and the staff were all very friendly and helpful right upon arrival and throughout our stay. We pre-arranged some activities through the hotel and the concierge was very helpful and easy to work with once we got there to check-in. The food overall is good with a wide variety and the show on Wednesday was a highlight. Our over water bungalow was spacious, with easy access to the main building. The hotel is close to some nearby shops and restaurants too which was nice to get out, walk around and see some of the local establishments. I would definitely recommend Manava!

Lovely beachside hotel with a superb pool. We had a family room which was good. The only issue is the stairs are very steep and the master bed is up in the loft. The AC is excellent in the room. The staff are lovely. The restaurants are good and there are a few other places within walking distance. While we were there they just installed a few activities for the kids like Fussball which is excellent. The gym is very basic with 5 machines and no weights. But I guess there are plenty of other activities for exercise. The grounds are very well kept.
JeanClaude B — Google review
The overwater bungalows were very special. Spacious, comfortable, secluded with a direct view onto the reef and plentiful fish, a resident reef shark, ray and even a turtle. However, the rest of the hotel was good but lacked the ‘wow’ factor to match with the bungalow. There was little difference between the restaurant and bar food and the service was average in both settings as was the housekeeping. Nice to have free use of kayaks, but it wasn’t clear how you reserved one (there was only one double kayak) or where you could go with it around the bay. Therefore whilst good overall, to move up to the level that the overwater bungalows suggests, the Manava Beach needs to sharpen up on its service attentiveness and distinguish its food offerings between the two outlets.

I have honeymoon clients that will be staying here next week, though I can’t comment on the resort itself, I must say working with Vanellie (reservation specialist) has been an exceptional experience. She has gone out of her way already to ensure my clients have the most wonderful honeymoon. I am grateful to her and the team for making this such a delightful experience. I look forward to sending more guests your way. Thank you!

This has been a dream vacation of mine for a very long time and I’m grateful I got to experience this. The prices are a little more expensive than you’d think but that’s just how it kind of is everywhere. My experience at the spa was wonderful, Bella was so amazing with me. We stayed in a garden view. Nice rooms and good amenities!

Amazing spot!!! -Air conditioning -Kind staff -Away from the busyness of town/port -Close to a market/area can get snacks/food -Laundry able to be done for reasonable price -Able to use kitchen for cooking own meals. They will provide breakfast for $25 USD/adult. -Amazing spot on the beach/water. Able to see reef shark, sting rays and other wildlife -Snorkeling is available. A bit murky/cloudy when we were there. There is an island nearby can easily kayak to. Water is deeper in this location and snorkeling view is better/more clear there. -Access to bikes and kayaks for free. Able to rent vehicles on a daily basis ($65-75 USD/day). Can also rent vehicle in Tahiti and bring over via Ferry (Aremiti). May be the cheaper route. -WiFi is available but so so

My wife and I have stayed here twice and love it. It's close to really good restaurants and great areas to hike on the island. We love kayaking out straight from the beach and snorkeling. Having a fridge and kitchen access is also great for tasty dinners at sunset. We can't vouch for the breakfast since we didn't get it. No point when you can just buy fruit and make free coffee.

We had a small problem (our fault) and even if the organization had no responsibility at all, they were so sad that offered us a free car and free breakfast for one day. Much more customer oriented than 5 starred hotel !! Apart from that marvelous structure, lovely rooms and great position. Absolutely reccomended !!! Top !

Nice place, but service can be better; I asked for a 30 minutes late checkout, then the girl at the reception asked me: "which room are you?" I said my room number and then she said: "we have a policy of no late checkout, not even a few minutes". So why does it matter which room I am...? Of course, my bungalow was empty for the next few hours too, in which I just was sitting at the lobby. Wish it would have been differently.

Such a wonderful stay and kind staff. I booked my trip late, and they even helped accommodate me by shuttling me to their other great property (Moorea Island Beach Hotel) for a few nights when availability wasn’t at this location. They are very near one another. The Honeymoon Suite at this location was maybe small for what some expected, but I found it cozy and charming (not small), and it opens onto a porch right on the water. Yes, you might see some lizards or bugs about at the property, but you are on a tropical island…that is where you decided to vacation and is a part of Island life. The yellow lizards are actually quite charming and harmless and are where Moorea gets it’s name (Yellow Lizard). The lagoon is gorgeous with wonderful snorkeling, free kayaks to explore it (I was able to swim with sea turtles and manta rays by just paddling a short distance), the sunset views are astonishing as the lagoon turns into a mirror for the sky at sunset. In the mornings you can see small and harmless sharks and rays exploring the coral as you have coffee and breakfast. I recommend a short 10 minute walk to the public beach (which was never crowded) if you want a proper swim. The coral is beautiful to explore in the lagoon, but it’s best to swim where there is a break in the coral. There are many great restaurants nearby as well as markets where you can buy your own food if you wish to cook for yourself in the hotel’s communal kitchen. I loved the common space. It was open air and charming with wonderful views. I felt so relaxed each time I sat inside or on the porch. One of the most cozy reading spots I’ve ever enjoyed. The best thing about staying at Moorea Beach Lodge is that it is not a resort, and I truly felt I was living on the island with its residents. I think you see a part of daily life and the culture of the island you would never see in a resort. I am always looking for a more authentic experience when I travel, and this is truly that but with the comfort of home. Yes, not being a resort does mean staff aren’t available all day and night, but they are always there at reasonable hours to answer any questions you might have to prepare a day excursion, arrange a ride, or even make you a dinner reservation. They even leave you a contact number in case you need assistance when they are away for the evening. I have a shellfish allergy and they were even kind enough to call the restaurant and explain for me (which was above and beyond). I have never been more relaxed in my life than enjoying a glass of wine with a book at sunset each night at this gem of a lodge in paradise. Thank you so much to the staff!

Location is great and that’s about it. Thankfully close to grocery store and restaurants as this property does not services after breakfast. You can use kitchen facilities but you’re on holidays and who wants to cook. No kettle in room. Room service is just remaking of bed. Have to ask for fresh towels. Rooster crowing most of the night and you can hear everything from other rooms! Property is well maintained but at this price it’s no 4 star resort. More like 2 star. Ants and mice in room

Pension Motu Iti is a family-run waterfront hotel on Moorea island, offering bungalows and a dormitory. The property's location close to town, the ferry, beaches, and botanical garden makes it convenient for exploring the area. The owners are friendly and accommodating. While the reception experience was average and had limited hours, the bungalow with an ocean view was clean and provided a beautiful setting. The on-site restaurant offers simple meals with sea views.
We had a wonderful stay at this charming pension run by a beautiful and welcoming family. The location is perfect—right on the water and ideal for swimming. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, even preparing food for us outside of the regular kitchen hours. As a special touch, they surprised us with a delicious homemade coconut treat. Highly recommended!

I was in dorm room which is big attic space where are no curtains and you have zero privacy. Windows are always open and road is literally in front of acomodation so there is constant noise. Old owner WANTS ONLY MONEY from you and he cares for nothing esle. There is no shop nearby, you have to hitchhike or walk for 40 minutes to the closest shop. He refuse to land me little spoon for my food. His restaurant is overpriced and you have free breakfast BUT its the cheapest breakfast you can get and its only sweet. Toilettes and showers ale NOT clean, there is mold and i see a lot of dirt here. I reccomend you not staying here

You must have a lagoon bungalow to enjoy the amazing view right from your bed. It is a little rustique, so expect a few bugs. I wouldn’t recommend a garden bungalow. Food is ok, but there are better options on the island. Very friendly staff :).
Vincent T — Google review
Our experience largely reflects other reviews made by other. Quaint, run-down, and a Polynesian version of Fawlty Towers (complete with Basil Faulty) can all be used to describe this place. We stayed in the garden villa and had no major complaints except for the ant outbreak in the bathroom, a lack of kettle to make coffee, and poor general maintenance. Let's be fair, accommodation in the Pacific is expensive, and no more so than French Polynesia, so you get what you pay for. The accommodation and facilities are run-down, need a good clean, and the manager generally unhelpful, but the villas are pleasant, wifi works ok, but cuts out frequently, and the bed was comfortable. The lack of air-conditioning will be a serious issue in warmer months. So, if you are on a budget, it is worth trying, but don't have high expectations, otherwise you will be disappointed. A couple of minor extra points, we brought our own coffee etc to have in the bungalow, but as mentioned, there is no kettle or cups supplied. The manager will reluctantly boil water for you, but charges you for it. We also brought our own wine, again, to have in our room. The manager opened the bottle begrudgingly (cork), but under no circumstances were we allowed to take a couple of wine glasses back with us. It is the little touch that this place lacks.
Suzi E — Google review
The accommodation is perfectly acceptable, though they could do with stronger air conditioning. The toilets are not very clean. They do have a nice section of beach, which is quite pretty. However my main issue is the service. They warned against drinking the tap water, so I asked if I could buy some water. They refused to accept card payment, despite having a card reader and despite my card being my sole method of payment. They were in no mood to negotiate - as far as I could tell they were willing to let me die of thirst. When I pointed out to them that the map of the water supply showed their water supply was potable, they got angry with me for some reason. In the end I drank the tap water and was absolutely fine. My overall impression is that you can get by here, but do not expect any help or cooperation with any problems you encounter

This place is located just beside the very fancy Hilton, and the premises are very nice and very well maintained. Authentic and idyllic. The rooms are spacious and nicely done with all bamboo furniture, the shower has very hot water and it's just peaceful, with views to the beautiful lagoon. Unfortunately nobody eats here more than once cause the dishes are overpriced and portions are small. I asked for a niçoise salad and on my plate there was 1/4 of the canned tuna that comes in a can. And that for 13$. It's the cheapest dish of the menu. The portion of fries (8$) was small and soggy. When you ask for a coffee refill it gets denied. If you buy your own food and keep it in the fridge of your bungalow, they won't lend you a bow or cutlery. You would think that having the lagoon just in front, that they would lend or rent out their kayak or goggles, but again it's a no. With another management, this place could be heaven, exploiting all its possibilities, like the water related sports and also instead of charging a lot for little food, just ask a bit less than other places and keep your guests spending in-house. They could even make themselves or just buy the already made sandwiches and salads from the Super U supermarket nearby (35min walk) and sell in-house for a small margin of profit. So, for the place yes, for the services no. So just do like everyone else, stay here and bring your wallet for anything else, elsewhere. PS: I shared my room with that big spider. Fortunately she stayed in the bathroom and only came out by night. Inside the room I only had a small gecko.

If your a individual or 2 traveling for snorkeling, diving, surfing or traveling the island this is the place for you. Of course it's not the Hilton, but for the price and as clean as the place is, it's definitely worth it! Very quite little place. Free breakfast in the morning. Good wifi. The beds were actually kind of comfortable also!

Nestled in the picturesque PaoPao Village, Village Temanoha is an ideal retreat for families seeking budget-friendly accommodations without sacrificing comfort. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, this charming property features cozy woodsy bungalows equipped with terraces and full kitchens, perfect for preparing your own meals. Guests can enjoy a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool or embark on nearby hiking adventures.
Traveled with 2 families of 4 (both with pre-teens/teens), each having our own bungalow. Julien and Megan were wonderful. We're Amercian, non-French-speakers (we do speak decent Spanish, don't judge) and that was not an issue. Their English was excellent and they were wonderful to talk with about Moorea. Very interesting, kind people and super enthusiastic to help our group enjoy our time on the island. We would definitely come back. It's not a luxury resort, but is priced accordingly, so don't expect it to be. The cabins were clean, really interesting, and the grounds and neighborhood were an amazing paradise. We made it in with our tiny rental cars fine, just have some patience and you'll find it.

We had the best time at Village Temanoha! Julien and Megan went above and beyond to make us feel at home (and made the most delicious breakfasts!) and the setting was superb, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. We loved the pool and the private cabin, which had a really delightful plant-filled bathroom. We also appreciated learning about local flora and fauna from Julien. We will definitely stay again next time we are in Moorea!

Views are out of this world! It feels like you're in the Garden of Eden. Accomodations are simple cabins yet clean and well built. The road isn't nearly as bad as many reviews make it sound. It's less than a mile from the supermarket and they loaned us bicycles to use. This is definitely managed as a guesthouse and it can sometimes be difficult to find assistance. Also, there were a couple situations where the manager could have been more respectful of guests (TV loud while we were enjoying sunset, drilling into concrete for 2 hours while we were by the pool). This was nice for a couple nights, but it may be challenging for a long stay without AC as it gets pretty warm. Great place for the adventurous seeking a beautiful retreat at a very reasonable price.

We booked this place with the knowledge that there is only a dirt road available to access the property. We were assured that every type of car could access the property (in dry conditions!) but having done a reconnaissance ride, we were shocked to see the state of the road and the fact that we would have to navigate it at least twice a day and most likely damage our rental car. The property does state ob their website that you need an SUV or 4x4, however booking.com made no mention of this, and renting such a vehicle is not that easy on the island, and would have led to extra costs. For this reason we asked to cancel and were refused without compromise. This has lead us to this review and to inform other would be patrons of this establishment.

(Translated by Google) We were supposed to spend 5 nights here in April as part of a home exchange for Guest Points (a points-based payment system). We quickly cut it short because the place is simply INFESTED with mosquitoes. (No, this is absolutely not "NORMAL" in Polynesia!!) On site, the hosts understood and verbally agreed to "reimburse" us. Our departure went well and the exchanges were friendly. But once we left, there was complete silence, despite several reminders. They were very responsive in finalizing our stay! Added to this: - A long access road in very, very poor condition. - The bungalows are cute but very dark, with a nice bathroom but really without any amenities. You will sleep in a wooden cabin, which we had deliberately chosen, though... - Impossible to swim in the pool, which was dirty... - No internet connection in the bungalows despite the owner's efforts. It was a disappointing experience, both in terms of the stay and especially on a human level, and so far removed from the values of home exchange...

Painapaopao Backpacker is a laid-back hostel on Moorea, offering basic dorms and wooden bungalows. It's one of the few budget-friendly options on the island with a small guest kitchen and dormitory accommodation. The facility has two private bungalows with bathrooms for 2 people each, as well as 6 individual dormitory rooms accommodating a maximum of 10 people. The comfortable dorm beds are equipped with mosquito netting for added comfort.
Such an amazing place! Semi-private rooms, good kitchen amenities, good atmosphere and relatively close to the beach. Consider renting a bike, scooter or car for mobility (the supermarket is quite far).

Amazing place to stay! The dormitory was so cozy with a little private curtained space for each of the 6 bunks. The kitchen and bathroom common areas are very nice as well. You need a car or a scooter as there isn't much that is walkable. Absolutely loved our stay here.

This place was ideal for me as a budget single traveler. I stayed in the dormitories for 3 nights on March 2023. This facility has two private bungalows with private bathrooms that accommodate 2 people each and 6 individual dormitory rooms. This facility accommodates 10 people max to be fully booked. The dormitory beds are comfortable with mosquito netting compassing the bed. There are no doors to the dormitory room and is covered by a cloth at the entrance of the room for privacy. The room has a push button safe, night stand, fan, a flexible desktop lamp, two plug outlets and no air conditioning. There is a locker available with a lock but you have to provide a deposit for the key. The bathrooms and showers are separate for women and men. There is a plastic tub and a drying rack to hand wash clothes for convenience. The nearest supermarket is at the bottom base of Cook's Bay called Super U Are. Pianapaoao Backpacker does provide a shelf in the fridge for your food and a bin for your dry/pantry goods. If you do not have a car or need public transportation, you can take the public bus, which operates when there is a ferry arriving/departing. I really enjoyed my stay in Pianopaopao Backpacker. I would definitely stay here again if I ever stay in Moorea in the future

This is the nicest hostel I have ever stayed at. Not only was the host super accommodating and kind, but the 6 bed bungalow is practically like your own room. There is a partition and a curtain for privacy. I told the host I was sunburnt and in pain and she gave me some aloe from the garden. I’m really impressed and I love it! Can’t recommend enough!

A fabulous place. Very calm atmosphere in beautifuly kept grounds. A couple of bungalows and a 6 person dorm with partitions for a bit of privacy. All facilities like new with a well equiped kitchen and communal area. Everything kept very clean. The little touches and attention to detail show that someone cares. A great base to explore and discover the wonderful island and people of Moorea.

Marie was helpful, friendly and so welcoming! The accommodation was sparkling clean, that's including the bathroom and kitchen - so clean! I stayed in the dorm and it was very comfortable, had very nice sleeps. A bit more info./help on how to travel around the island for travellers who have no car would be appreciated! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay! I would definitely stay her again!

Not very clean. Shower curtains covered in mould, dirty pillows and bedding. There is nothing at all nearby so a meal or a trip to the supermarket is at least an $80 AUD taxi. It is in the middle of nowhere surrounded by mangroves, crabs, roosters, barking dogs, wild boars so don’t expect to relax, not what I pictured Mo’orea to be like.

Nestled near the picturesque Cooks Bay, Le Mahogany is a delightful bistro that captures the essence of tropical dining. With its inviting tiki-hut ambiance, polished mahogany tables, and vibrant artwork, it offers a cozy atmosphere complemented by large windows that frame lush gardens. The menu is an enticing blend of Chinese and French cuisine, featuring everything from classic French onion soup to flavorful prawn curry.
We stopped here to try the food based on some other reviews. I was specifically interested in the chow mein which kept getting good reviews, but all the Chinese food I've had in French Polynesia had little to no flavor compared to the Chinese food I've had from the San Francisco bay area. However, Le Mahogany did the chow mein right! It tasted great. Big portion, lots of stuff in it, the noodles were the small ones and not the normal bigger variety. I would highly recommend. Wife got the Mahi Mahi in coconut sauce, she liked it but said it was rich. We didn't even try the parrot fish after eating at Rudy's nothing can compare.

Amazing food and wonderful service! We are American and felt very welcomed by both the waitresses there! We also know we are in Tahiti on an outer island and not in LA or Vegas - not that we lowered our expectations we just understand island time. The food was great. I would go back!

This place was pretty good, although you may need to be more aggressive with the service. hot inside but worth the sweat. we ordered: lobster bisque (was the special, but my date didn’t like it) french onion soup - pretty yummy garlic shrimp- pretty yummy too. came with green beans and rice. ice cream - chocolate and coconut. so good. and rose!

An amazing place for French cuisine! We were picked up by the restaurant from our hotel and our driver was punctual (like everything else on this island!). I was searching for a place that served Poisson Cru that wasn’t made with tuna, and this place had a version made with shrimp, and it was the best Poisson Cru I had in the French Polynesia by far :) For mains we had the shrimp curry and the duck. Both were made perfectly and absolutely delicious! The chef really knows his food. Ended with the nougat ice-cream. By the time we left it was completely packed. Oh, and the President was eating dinner here while we were there too which kind of cool :)

Make sure you make a reservation in advance because the restaurant might get busy during dinner hours and there might be a little wait. With that said. The mussels were the best I’ve had. Ever. Filet Mignon was amazing. Mahi Mahi with coconut milk was cooked to perfection. Strongly recommend Le Mahogany. If your looking for a local restaurant that will tie the beauty of Moorea and local dining together this is the place.

Maude and Michael were better than nice. They are both kind hearted people and I thought they were fantastic. The waves crashing in the distance on the shore would lull you off to sleep and it is close to a super great Thai food truck/restaurant about 300 meters down the road to the left as well as a good pizza place and a beautiful public beach all withing walking distance. I was impressed with Michaels' grasp of electrical work and plumbing as a guy who works in the trades myself. All in all a truly pleasant experience.

We stayed there for two nights. Real friendly staff. The facilities were very comforable and a great place to chill. Well organized common kitchen, other guests were very respectful. Bathrooms were very clean as well. I recommend having a bike or a vehicle since most options like beaches or food aren't too close. We loved that it's not facing Tahiti because you can enjoy the shore close by much more. The staff can also provide lots of information on local tour options. Amazing price/quality ratio. Best so far.

The rooms are very small, we struggled to put our suitcases in, we had to move the furniture and put the fan out... In the shack there is practically only the bed, impossible for two to fit in and then there is it was only one person In theory we had to remove the rooms but then the boys took - as always - the room with the bathroom and slept in 5... We paid very little but the guesthouse is in the middle of nowhere, going to the right, about twenty minutes' walk away there is a restaurant, on the left we continued for a long time but found nothing... Exceptional continental breakfast. Everything you could imagine! Vegetables, salad bar, rice, pastries of all kinds, fresh fruit and juices, omelette bar, breakfast meats and breads. Friendly staff and wonderful flavor. I loved filling up on the sautéed veggies and omelette. I read the reviews and I wondered what our experience would be. I will tell you I was surprised. We had the breakfast a few days and dinner once. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. It is pricing but that is the price for buffet in such an isolated place. Quality was good and options were well displayed. No issues. Dinner: We walked up at opening and was told they have no openings for 30 min. I thought it was odd since they only sat about 4-5 tables before us. I remembered it was a holiday and saw they only had 2 people handling sitting and serving, so bless them for their hard work! We were seated at the given time and our orders were taken promptly, no issue. Food arrived and it was great all around. The Seafood reduction for the parrot fish was Devine. So I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and so did the rest of our party. I know others complained about their food or service but that was not our experience.

Main restaurant of Hilton Hotel, severs breakfast and dinner. The dinner is very disappointing, small and expensive plates with mediocre taste. The breakfast however is pretty good, decent selection of food. Unfortunately they don't replenish the drinks as fast as they should, on mtiple occasions all recipients were empty and there were no more glasses either. Some of the staff might not look as friendly as expected for such a location. Nice view over the sea though, located on the upper floor.

Terrible experience, je ne recommande pas du tout. Voici ma description de notre dîner à 2 couples. Dining Experience: The restaurant experience was perhaps the most disheartening part of our stay. We booked the resort’s ‘gastronomic’ restaurant expecting a culinary highlight. Unfortunately, the reality was underwhelming at best. When we arrived at 8 PM—well within operating hours—the hostess greeted us with visible annoyance, likely because we were among the last guests. The sense of inconvenience only grew when our waitress took our order and then disappeared for the remainder of the evening. Requests for additional drinks or assistance required us to flag down other staff, who were busy preparing to close for the night. When our meals arrived, disappointment turned into disbelief. My order, a special lamb dish with chickpeas, came as a small portion of pulled lamb accompanied by mashed potatoes—no chickpeas in sight. When we asked about this, the waitress informed us they had run out, offering no prior warning or apology. Another member of our group, who has a known intolerance to mussels, ordered a fish dish only to find it contained mussels, with no warning whatsoever. This lack of attention to dietary needs could have been problematic. We were fortunate to spot the issue before it became an unpleasant situation. To add to the chaos, four cockroaches made themselves at home on the restaurant floor. One met its demise under a waiter’s foot, only to remain there as a grim decoration for the next 15 minutes.

We enjoyed the Pizza's, even though they are on the higher end of the pricepoint. I will say that arriving there for lunch, it smelled like cigars, with the kitchen staff smoking. Great live music and lively customer crowd. The resident animals (cats) were friendly too. The scene was great. The table management and service were really spotty and disorganized. Lack of synchronization of delivery of food and drinks, seating assignment, and communication between bar and order/register staff and servers working the floor. It can be improved, but they need organizational structure and management tools. A TMS would help.

During our stay at the Sofitel, we were on the hunt for some delicious pizza and decided to give Fenua Pizza a try. After hearing great things about it, we were thrilled with our choice! The pizzas arrived piping hot, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Although they were out of chorizo for our original order of lespagnole, their recommendation of lorientale did not disappoint—it was absolutely fantastic!
We were staying at the Sofitel and wanted to get some pizza. Our last trip here we ordered from Allo pizza and it was awesome BUT they don’t deliver here anymore. So we decided to try Fenua and so glad we did! Pizza was delivered hot and like all places, the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We originally wanted the l’espagnole with chorizo but they were out of chorizo. They recommended the l’orientale and it was fantastic! All their pizza is thin crust and did not flop even after being delivered. They’re about a medium size and between my wife and I, we finished about 1.5 and had some leftovers. The leftovers were fantastic as well. We just let it warm up in the hot sun and enjoyed it on our balcony. Delivery minimum is 2 pizzas which is perfect. L’orientale (5): the lamb sausage had a slight kick to it but added amazing flavor. The egg on top really kicked it up a notch. Great pizza! La pacifique (5): a unique pizza with cream sauce and salmon. Put some of the lime on there and it’s amazing! If you’re ordering from Sofitel, you have to walk up past the front gate and meet them there since only guests are allowed past the gate. Short walk from the front desk though and if you’re ordering at night like us, the hotel is beautiful at night with the lights. Highly recommend this place. The front desk will call for you and assist you with your order as well.

The ingredients were fresh and I couldn’t have been happier!

This place is incredibly delicious and they have so many options so it’s great for a big group. We tried the Mexican pizza, 4Cheese pizza (my favorite), pizza of the day, fish and mango pizza and mushroom and ham pizza. Everything was good and everyone was happy. This is one of the best places to eat near the Manava. The tomato sauce is so good. It tastes like it came from Italy! The pizzas are very well priced and we had 2 pizzas, sparkling waters, and wine for around $50 US. The pizzas feed 2 people each. The staff are very nice and speak English and French. I highly highly highly recommend you check this place out.

Fabulous pizza. We purchased three different pizzas that they were willing to recommend, all were amazing. The pizza is great, with a flavourful, well-developed, chewy yet crisp crust. Great mix of menu pizzas and toppings — can’t wait to try them all. The staff is friendly and helpful; good service isn’t a job, they’re just good people. Tried the chow mien tonight (which I admit sounds odd in an Italian place) and it was a revelation. Full, rich flavour full of depth and wok hay. Definitely eating that again, too! Thanks, Fenua!

Definitely the best spot to eat in Mo’orea! Authentic Vietnamese taste, prices are very reasonable and the Owner is so friendly ❤️

My family had almost everything and loved it ALL, especially the desserts. We're staying on the other side of the island but we'll go back for another lunch before we leave. They also take credit cards and the owner was so friendly. I highly recommend this spot.

Excellent food! We had the burrito which was very good with chicken, french fries and pickled veggies. I would ask them to skip the French fries in the burrito next time. The portions were generous and the order of French fries was easily enough for two.

We got the chicken Bahn MI - delicious flavor, an elevated version with the BBQ chicken filling. Quick service and able to wait on the beach with a pager while they were made. Owner was kind and sandwiches were made with care.

If you find yourself on the stunning island of Moorea, make sure to stop by Family Pizza, a delightful little food truck that has quickly become a favorite among visitors. Nestled down a charming driveway with picnic tables shaded under an awning, this spot offers an inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy your meal while watching chickens roam nearby. Family Pizza serves up an impressive variety of dishes beyond just pizza—think burgers, kabobs, and fresh salads.
A small food truck parked down the driveway, picnic tables under an awning. Quaint and charming, and the food is delicious! They have a large menu: red pizzas, white pizzas, burgers, kabobs, fish, chicken, salads, crepes… Our pizza (the Forestière) was perfect in every way. Why can’t we get pizzas like these everywhere? We may come back to Moorea just for this pizza! 😊

It was our first meal in Moorea, and we were told that the pizza was good. So we thought it was within walking distance, so why not. They greeted us with smiles and were very friendly, and had little ones running around. No problem. We love children. However, the 2 year old was running around naked, where the tables are set up to eat, and we thought, okay, that's you whatever. Kids are kids...... but while waiting for our pizza, the little one walked up to the hose, wanting cleaned off because and I quote, "caca!" The man in the food truck came out apron and all and proceeded to wash his bottom off with the hose and with his bare hands. He did go wash his hands behind the food truck before serving us our to go pizza. They left the poop on the ground where everyone walked. My stomach was a little churned, but my husband reassured me he watched him wash his hands. I did try the pizza it was good. But...... maybe put clothing on him so it protects the child from weirdos and pooping in the public eating area.

We really enjoyed sitting by the stream eating pizza while the chickens foraged around us. The pizza was good, but different from what my American palate is accustomed to. There were certainly a lot of options on the menu.

This place is awesome. In our week on Moorea island we ate here three times after our host recommended it. If you go intending to get American style pizza then you may be disappointed. However, if you go with the idea that maybe the American way to make pizza is not the only or best way to do it, then you may have a great surprise. We had a total of seven pizzas and tried the chicken curry, Rotui, Texane, and Kebab flavors. All excellent! Highly recommend. It can be a little hard to find, as the sign is not huge and faces the small road, and is overgrown. We had to turn around twice to get there the first time.

This was such a precious little set up. Delicious pizza. Very friendly. The menu was entirely in French which was unfortunate for me. Everybody spoke French as well but it was such a fun and unique experience.

very good thin crust pizza. my brother ordered the double ham burger with fries and hamburger sauce and he said it was pretty good. we ate at the place and our food was brought out to us with our drinks and glasses. very good service and they didn’t let the language barrier get in the way.

Pizza, burgers, and kebab wraps are just OK and prices are high for what you get.

This place was so good!! One of my favourite meals on the island, very reasonably priced, and popular with the locals. I got the grilled fish plate and I was very satisfied - fresh and filling. Super friendly staff/owners, would love to come back for a sandwich sometime! Maururu!

Mauruuru roa / merci beaucoup! I really appreciate the kind customer service & delicious lunch.. as well as popsicle. While I was waiting beside the beach I saw 2 whales flick up their tails. C'est magnifique ici !

Thank you for the great service. The proportions were very generous for the grilled fish meal, and the spot in the shade was more than welcome for a snack time! 🌟🌟

People here think they own the public street. a guy told me to move my car and the have tires on the shoulder. Be careful if you rent from Avis Enjoy. Not coming back.

This was such a pleasant surprise. We stumbled upon it and had one of favorite casual meals of our trip. We had paninis (ham and chicken), a hotdog w/bacon and hamburger. Perfect food to take to the beach
