Maybe the reviews by others and plenty of coverage online hyped it up abit for me but I found myself wanting more. The restaurant was really popular and for good reason. Great decor, very welcoming service and amazing presentations. Maybe I was expecting too much but the fish wasn't the star in the dishes. Still well executed nonetheless but maybe overshadowed by the ensemble? Would have to return to try again when the menu changes so I'm still keeping my hopes up.

Excellent food, Excellent Service, Excellent menu choice overall. I would highly recommend this quaint little restaurant opposite the church. Staff are polite and courteous which in this modern society we live in has become almost impossible to find. It's refreshing to find this type of service. We spent just over an hour here. To what I believe has the 100% potential to be Michelin star quality very soon indeed. The quality of food you taste on each and every mouthful is a delight on the taste Presentation is excellent as seen in photos. And this is what's special about this place. It ticks all the boxes in the itinerary. Bravo Moonfish Cafe. Great food.

We went in for the 4 course taster menu through itison. £75 well spent. The food was fantastic, each course was superb, the paired cocktail was nice too. The staff were lovely, very friendly and attentive but no over bearing. The only down side was it could have been warmer in the restaurant.... that said it was probably about 0°C outside so its understandable

Delightful lunch here at Moonfish. For many years this was a regular lunchtime spot when I worked in Aberdeen Town Centre and I missed it. The food is just as good, and the menu is as interesting as ever. The staff are great, easily and enthusiastically answer questions about the food and take an interest in what we think. This is a small busy place and making a reservation is recommended, the lunchtime helpings are just right for a midday meal. We enjoyed being here, but be aware it's a busy place which can be noisy. Also the booking site give very strict times for occupation of the table. I think we had 1 hour 45 minutes for a table of two - which is more than adequate. No idea if they allow longer in the evenings. Thanks to everyone at Moonfish, and a special thanks to the chef for creating such a great menu!

The Moonfish Cafe was a excellent introduction to fine dining in Aberdeen. We didn't make a reservation but just added our name to the wait list. We had a 30 min wait and walked over to a pub down the street. The wait was well worth it. The menu was refreshing in that there weren't too many choices and they change often. This type of menu tells you the restaurant concentrates on putting forth high quality food with every meal. I started with the Rarebit appetizer, my main was a filet of beef, and I finished with a cheese plate. The attention to details with every dish was wonderful. Overall, our meal was excellent! We even spent some time talking to Brian, the owner, and he was very hospitable and friendly. Thank you Brian and Moonfish cafe for the wonderful meal!

Magnificent. One of my favourite restaurants in Aberdeen. I had preconceptions before going that the food would be tiny portions and I hoped it wouldn't be overrated. The menu was well thought out, fresh and cooked impeccably. I believe the owner was a finalist on MasterChef and the quality of cooking shows. I'm already looking forward to the next time I come here! Edit: Another trip, this time we had complications with our party being unable to attend and Moonfish were excellent at working around us. The food as ever was exquisite and I still think this is the best restaurant in Aberdeen .

Absolutely loved this place! The vibe is upbeat and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal. The salads and beverages were fresh and flavorful, but the standout was definitely the mango chutney grilled cheese—such a unique twist and so delicious! Most salads you could get half and half. If you’re looking for a spot with great food and atmosphere, definitely give this place a try!

I had a great brunch at FoodStory. Even though I'm not a vegetarian, the food was so nice that I considered becoming one! I had the everything toast, a great combination of flavours. The place itself is lovely and welcoming, with a friendly atmosphere. Plus, it's dog-friendly, which was handy, as we had the dog with us. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a vegetarian and/or dog friendly cafe

Dog friendly, very spacious, polite and friendly staff. A wide range of food on offer and great coffee. The pancake (with banana and yoghurt) was very filling and delicious!

I really love the concept of this place – it’s simply brilliant. There’s plenty of space with cozy seating areas and tables, and the breakfast is great. The baked goods are delicious, and I especially appreciate the wide selection of organic products you can also take home. I felt very welcome here and the vibe among the staff was relaxed and friendly. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable.

A different experience, a really nice place to chill and enjoy coffe and have some brunch, fresh salads and cooked meals , the bread is amazing. I recommend this place as a vegetarian place, many options all made from fresh ingredients.

Was only coffee shop open before 9am except for Starbucks. We didn't know it was vegan but still enjoyed our match & coffee along with a raison scones & banana chocolate chip bread

I loved the atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. I haven't tried a huge amount for their food, mainly just drinks, but the food looks fantastic. I came here to meet a friend on a few occasions and once to just relax and do some light work on my laptop, I always ended up staying for hours; a very warm and relaxing environment.

7 stars A wonderful quaint and bohemian style vegan cafe, with an in-house guest-Mickey the Cat. He’s simple adorable gentle and so cute. Best addition to the cafe. The upstairs garden patio is an eclectic collection of hand painted wall murals beautifully decorated artefacts and intricately printed cloth canopies. Giving the whole place a cosy warm and comfortable atmosphere. Surrounded by lots of plants the whole place is an oasis in the heart of the city. Wonderful selection of teas coffees and healthy drinks and good food and desserts too. Would love to come back again. Hope they stay the same if we ever return to Aberdeen 🥰

A very good cafe that serves vegan food and desserts. Throughout the years, I’ve tried a lot of items on their menu and none has ever disappointed me. I really like that they have different drinks of the day and it’s nice that the outside seating area is so comfy. You’ll even get to see Mickey the cat!

It's a nice cafe which is completely vegan. There's an upstairs seating area as well as an outdoor seating area which is nice on sunny days. However there's not a lot seats so can sometimes struggle for a table, but you can take away so there's that option too. Food is good and reasonably priced. I'd suggest going early in the day as they can sell out of options quite quickly, so might not get what you want.

Great cozy place. Loved the garden upstairs that comes with a friendly cat. There is lots of green and flowers outside which is great for a sunny and not so sunny day. Prices are reasonably priced, food servings were good and very friendly staff. Definitely coming back soon.

Giving a fresh review with new photos since its been several years. I love that they are still going strong despite the lockdown. Their decor is more colourful fun and trendy and my favourite place is the rooftop garden. The food is art as well as healthy/delish and their pet cat makes it perfect finish to the cosy boho vibes. The best thing in my opinion are the staff (Like Debbie who usually deals with the upstairs tables), they are genuinely friendly and accommodating and love a good chat. Especially when you have little ones that like to run about, having the friendly understanding and support really makes the experience even better. 5/5 on pretty much everything.

The best ice cream in Aberdeen! Nothing more is needed, but I'll elaborate for those who want more info. Hidden in the courtyard of the building across the Marischal Square, Mackie's is a place with the best ice cream you can find in Aberdeen. 19.2 miles from the farm allows the ice cream to be fresh all the time. There are so many flavours available - almost anything you can think of, they have it. The hot chocolate on top (homemade) was amazing, pure delight. The staff is approachable, helpful and fast (considering there's almost always someone in the queue - there hasn't been a time that there was no line when I went there). It's honestly a place I was taken and it's a place where I would take my friends, so I highly recommend it.

You should be really strong to overcome such a portion of dessert alone 😌. So big and delicious. The attention to details is a pleasant surprise,this little ice cream with you coffee definitely make you smile. A very lovely ice cream shop in the city centre. Lots of ice cream flavours, can enjoy the most with reasonable price. Helpful and nice staff. Definitely recommend it!

Lovely cafe/ Ice cream parlour hidden away in Aberdeen Although Mackie's is all about it's dairy cows and milk they had a good choice of dairy free sorbet and ice cream .I had to try the irn bru sorbet .was delicious

Loved visiting this spot. A lot of options so didn’t know what to get at first. Ended up getting the 4 seasons waffle. Was delicious! One tip? There was Chocolate Sauce on the four parts of the waffle, which kinda overpowered all the other flavours. I’d say to restrict the sauce to one or two parts so the variety in the toppings comes through in other parts with the other flavors. Other than that, this was a delicious experience. I’d def be back…

A great ice cream parlour with all the flavours of Mackie's. The staff were nice and there wasn't a long wait. There is seating outside with blankets which is great. I would recommend the traditional ice cream with hot milk chocolate sauce. A single scoop is £3.5. I would recommend you stop by, 5 stars from me.

Worst biriyani in Aberdeen. They are just mixing up some rice with some other Curry or some other dishes. Just reheating it. Service is really bad. I asked for pack my balance food for not wasting it. But they just dropped a parcel box and carry bag on my table to pack myself. Such a rude behavior. Never ever visit again or don't recommend to anyone.

Very good Indian food, buffet lunch for 11.99 pounds. Highly recommended for vegans as well. Some dishes are veeeery spicy, watch out! Very friendly stuff, halped us with allergens. The restaurant is located in a nice area of Aberdeen, felt a bit lost entering the building but, once inside the restaurant, the atmosphere is very nice.

Keep going past the drab entrance and inside is a lovely well appointed restaurant with a fabulous view. Food is really tasty, pretty authentic and good value. Cobra and kingfisher on tap is always a bonus. Highly recommended.

This place is perfection. Beautiful from the outside, amazing food and utmost kind service on the inside. Spent both of our two nights in Aberdeen here - still craving their traditional Scottish cullen skink soup and red tuna with spicy sauce & noodles!

Finally got to spend our Christmas vouchers and it was very much worth the wait!!! The food is on a different level. Could be more comfortable seating, but a few glasses of wine in and several juicy scallops later it's the last thing on your mind.

Bistro verde has always been great, I think it’s changed hands recently but it’s kept its high standard. Fish heavy menu with a few specials available. We ordered off the lunch menu with is well priced, I had the mussels and the Rock turbot (a special with a £5 supplement). Food was Excalent muscles were in a rich cream sauce and the fish was delicious. We had wine too that bumped the bill up. Server liked my wallet lol. Recommend

Finally got a chance to try this fab spot don't miss out! I entered the restaurant greeted by smiles and was seated promptly. The decor is really cool and works very well with the theme of the place. My friends were running late but the servers made sure to continuously ask me for drinks and were very friendly and welcoming. We had the Oysters, Cullen Skink, Seafood and Shellfish Linguine and Pan Seared Sea Bass. My personal favourite was the Cullen Skink it makes u feel right at home and the flavours were just mind blowing. The portion size was also very generous leaves you feeling full. We had the lunch menu which allowed us 2 courses for £22.95 which is a real steal for the fresh food and great service you receive. The food was a whole new experience for me having never really tried seafood but I will definitely be back after this experience.

To be honest we felt a bit let down here and it wasn't a cheap dinner. The Cullen Skink was good but the £17 scallops were a let down. Tiny little things for the price. The sea bass was well presented but beetroot risotto was pretty bland. No salt and pepper on the tables. I thought that was odd. It was very noisy and quite tinny in the restaurant (if that makes sense?) The staff were nice but to be honest it wasn't worth the £98 bill with two beers.

Lovely little place, stopped in for lunch on a free day in town. Friendly staff, delicious affordable food, cozy and charming atmosphere. I had a flatbread with pastrami, peppers and cheddar and the homemade chips; everything was excellent. Loved the mismatched plates and flatware.

First time. Wow!!! Where is this places Michelin star? Inventive, artistic and food that sends your taste buds into a spin! Prices not to shabby either. Front of house very attentative also. Will defo be back!

Wonderfully imaginative menu in a very informal and comfortable environment. I found the vegetarian choices delicious. The taste combinations are wonderful and the portions are very generous. Good wine choices. Loved the friendly atmosphere AND it is dog friendly with good space around the tables for your pooch to relax. We have a well behaved labrador and Dalmatian and they had space around us to settle. The chef was very dog friendly and brought them a little titbit which made us feel very welcome

Absolutely loved this place. We were walking past looking for a shop and got talking to the owners mother who was at the door so we decided to go back later. We were made so welcome, not only to the restaurant but also Aberdeen. Food was fresh, homemade and delicious with great vegetarian options. The desserts were homemade by Mrs B and amazing. We opted for the 3 course menu which was an absolute bargain. They could have charged at least 10% more and it would still of been great value. Service was top notch, everyone was happy, knowledgeable and especially Tosia who was a delight. Thank you for making our visit to Aberdeen memorable.

A rare experience that deserves more than 5 stars. Our friend stumbled upon Cafe52 for lunch, said the Cullen Skink was exceptional and suggested we have dinner there. Fortunately, there was one table available (booking highly recommended). The open kitchen showed the care and attention put into every dish. The food and the service were first class. If you want somewhere with a cozy, unpretentious but seriously brilliant, don’t hesitate. Thank you to the fabulous team. We appreciate it.

Came here for a birthday meal, loved the vibe, the food was so good - especially the Cullen skink and the beef tagine. The service was excellent and the music was great. Can’t wait to come back!

Been going to it since the 1990's and still the same excellent food and attentive service from friendly staff.

From start to finish customer service and food were excellent. We originally booked our table for the 1st August and when our plans changed we asked to move it to today, Ozkan was more than happy to adjust at the last minute. Upon arrival we were greeted with warmth by the entire team and great conversation throughout our stay. Rest assured that you will be handed a great value, authentic, home cooked meal with the the freshest of ingredients. The lunch deal of two courses for £13.99 pp & 3 courses for £18.99pp is a great deal. You’d be stupid not to try Sofra at those prices. We shared Borek & chicken wings starters followed by karniyarik (mince stuffed aubergine) & pilich special (chicken in a tomato sauce with pitta and yoghurt) finished off with a very novel, chocolate baklawa. All with immense flavours. We left with every taste bud catered to and very full stomachs. Ozkan & team at Sofra Turkish & Mediterranean Cuisine are amazing successors to the Nargile crown and we can’t wait to see where their ambition and dreams for Sofra will take them. Customers of Nargile new and old, stand by Ozkan and the Sofra team. They are a gem to be cherished in Aberdeen.

It's a nice Turkish restuarant work very polite staff We had a veg and non-veg set menu for £28 and £33 respectively The cold starters are delicious and pita bread is really fresh and soft Apart from cold starters the set menu includes hot starters, mains and sweets plus tea/coffee

I couldn't fully enjoy the food and comfort because I came with my mother-in-law, my wife, two children and her friend. A very loud family. They really piss me off. Next time I'll come alone! I liked the service, very nice and kind. I can't say anything bad about the food because you have to try everything Before you criticize

Nargile has a new owner and he has changed the name to Sofra, still awaiting alcohol license but you can take your own drinks in meantime, plenty selection of soft drinks available. They still have the same staff who are pleasant and helpful. Menu is more or less the same, they still do the pre theatre menu. I always appreciate how fresh the salad is everytime we go there. They have freshened up the restaurant and the food is always wonderful look forward to my next visit

Recently changed to Sofra Aberdeen and food remains amazing. Service was excellent and staff went out of their way to make sure we got to our theatre show in time as well as ensuring we enjoyed our food.

Very good food. The started selection for two persons is recommended as you get a big selection. The quality and quantity of the starters and main dishes are good so no complain there. I do however give it 4 out of 5 points since the restaurant is pretty expensive. Not terribly so but still paid 31 pound alone

Large pub. Food mostly burgers and pizzas and wraps. Food I think was from frozen. Chips were fries and the fish perched on top. Thin batter not much fish inside and the peas were cold and undercooked Wall to wall TV screens with racing on and volume on and music playing as well.Hard to think with the noise level. Quite large pub. Lot of younger people in there. £15 for food and a soft drink

We went along for the boozy brunch and it was so lovely. Joe was our server and he was so approachable and kind. Service was also very fast and the atmosphere was great throughout. Would definitely come back. #Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

If brunch were a sport, our server Chris would be the MVP, Hall of Famer, and team mascot all in one. From the moment we sat down, he made it his personal mission to ensure our glasses were never empty—and he succeeded with flair. I’m pretty sure he has a sixth sense for when a mimosa is approaching dangerously low levels because he’d swoop in like a brunch superhero, bottle in hand, smile on face, and a joke ready to go. He didn’t just keep the drinks flowing—he kept the vibe immaculate. We came for eggs and bacon, but stayed for the stand-up comedy, sass, and unstoppable energy. By the end, we were all best friends and mildly tipsy philosophers. Give this man a raise, a medal, and maybe a hydration break. 10/10 would bottomlessly brunch with him again.

I’m a great believer that if you don’t have anything positive to say - then don’t say it ! However I feel it’s important to make this review. I have a lot of experience in Catering / hospitality. I also am aware that this establishment was an Aberdeen staple ! However I took my brother for lunch yesterday and it was not a pleasant experience. I ordered a burger 🍔 and fries . The burger was absolutely covered in sauces that just didn’t work . The burgers themselves were not tasty . The service was really bad . The waitress. Actually didn’t speak at all . No smiles - just dumped the food on the table without a knowledgment Really poor. .

As locals we are delighted that The Creel is open again. We have already eaten there a couple of times and have enjoyed the food very much. It is freshly cooked and very tasty. My husband had Goan Lamb Shank and I enjoyed the Chicken Shalimar, both with sides of rice and nan. We also had the monk fish starter - yum! The staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive. We’ll definitely be back. Thanks to all the staff. 😊

Me and my family visited the creel in when staying Catterline for the weekend. The food was amazing with a mix of Indian dishes and European options. Staff were lovely and locals very friendly. Will definitely be back!

We ordered 3 lobsters, 2 steaks and a Halibut. Lobsters were cooked tasty and juicy but only average size for £38 each. Steaks eaters were pleased with their meats and pepper sauces. My husband loves his halibut. Would be reasonable if the lobsters are more meaty I could easily eat 2 myself for that size.

We had an absolutely delicious meal - fish n chips - chips were big and fluffy and crisp, and batter was so light. We took away two curries as well. Both were so tasty. I had the speciality vegetable mango curry and the vegetables were lovely and soft. We were made so welcome, and our dogs with biscuits and a bowl of water. So delighted we have found The Creel and are booked to go and again on Saturday! Thoroughly recommend

Highly recommend. Spoilt for choice on the menu. Excellent food & service. Friendly helpful staff. Catered well for adults and children. We had curries on this occasion & they were the best we have had. Will definitely visit again to try some of the seafood dishes.

Went in here one evening and had to end up walking out after 10 minutes. Nobody in the place absolute silence no music, freezing cold didn’t even have the fire on, felt like we where just sitting in a barn there’s bits of plaster falling off the ceiling and a smell of damp, there has literally been nothing done to the building since it was the creel. Shame cause the menu looked good but just couldn’t, Ended up driving into town to jewel in the crown.

This place has only recently been taken over and I will definitely be back to try it once its all been refurbished. I called on the day a couple of hours before and they got us in no problem. When we got there we had to look for someone to be seated but once we had been shown to our table they brought the menus round about 5 mins later and took our drinks order. Food took around half hour which is great for fresh food to be cooked and the currys were lovley I'll reccomend them to anyone. The mixed grill was ok not the best but hopefully will improve with time. The fish pakora starter was soggy unfortunately not crispy batter at all, its a shame because the naans, currys and rice were lovey. Would be nice to have a few extra naans on offer like keema and maybe some keema or other spicy fries would be a great addition. All in all great night out will 100% go back and can only get better with time. Lovley staff well priced and lovley location

A hidden gem in Elgin! Lovely place tucked away behind an archway – you might miss it if you’re not looking carefully. I came here looking for ice cream on a warm day, and surprisingly, it was the only place in Elgin that had any! The menu is diverse and appealing, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They also have outdoor seating on a quiet little alley with fairy lights – absolutely charming atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Elgin, whether for a meal, a drink, or just a treat like I did!

Came down into Elgin whilst touring the Highlands, and found this gem of a restaurant hidden down an alleyway in the High Street. The outdoor seating area is very cute, and we were a little early (doesn’t open until 12), so we sat and chilled whilst we waited. The food came very quickly, and was beautifully presented. I was extremely excited for my shepherds pie. It tasted DELICIOUS. Really well made, rich sauce and yummy. My only criticisms were that it wasn’t piping hot which was a shame, and that it could’ve used a vegetable on the plate to break up the soft texture - especially when priced at £23.00. The fish & chips was incredible - easily the softest fish and lightest batter we’ve ever had. 100% recommend. The staff were super friendly too, and we would definitely return.

Been around 4 times in 2 weeks. Consistently great, staff are attentive and friendly. Cozy little location and interior is well designed and aesthetic. Food is very hearty and wide range of selections, do enjoy the chicken pie and tagliatelle. The waiter who is new, but so charismatic, interested and energetic - please keep shining. Would say this is probably the best spot in Elgin.

Easily missed gem! Everything was of a certain gourmet pub food high quality, healthy portions and rich in flavor.

We chose the Sunday lunch option from the menu. Two courses for 23£. Was great value. The beef was very tender and a generous portion. Great vegetables which were not overcooked at all. The sticky toffee pudding was fabulous. Great friendly service too. Perfect!

We went to visit this place because of the soft play area. Its a simple soft play area and excellent if you just want a place where your child can play. The food was not the best. I mean it's edible but if you have a certain preference for a certain aesthetic this might not be for you. The place and plates were not as clean as I'm used to. You ever been to a place where you want to start wiping down the tables yourself. This was me. Otherwise, honestly it's not a place I would visit again unless I was desperate. It's budget friendly. I ate the chicken salad.it was ok.

Usual meeting place for my friend and myself. The atmosphere is always relaxed and unhurried and it's not noisy so a conversation is possible. The selection of food is good but to be honest could be better prepared. That said,the service is good and the staff friendly. Betty is a gem and goes out of her way to make sure things are fine.

***(during the pandemic of the broken extractor fan)*** So... Overall not very satisfied as our first visit. Upon entry, told that it's a limited menu due to the broken extractor fan in the kitchen. We decided to stay and eat (2 adults & 3 kids) Made our order. Soon then told something on the kids menu is out of stock. Rearranged the order. Then not long after that, told my partners order was still in the freezer and would take too long to cook. Server spoke very softly and quietly, hard to hear. The kids play area was closed off. Kids had nothing to do while waiting. Overall very disappointed with the bill of over £50 for microwaved food. Not happy unfortunately

We had a celebration of my late mums life here, the restaurant was spotless & spacious, the staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, we had enormous amounts of crisps, nachos, sandwiches, chicken goujons, chips, as much teas & coffees all in within the set price. I have been back since & will definitely be returning often.

Wonderful British Pub. Found on CAMRA as they have four to six true hand drawn cask conditioned ales. Food was really good. Fish and chips were great. You can tell the fish was fresh. Service was spot on. Everyone was friendly and helpful and catered to us tourists by helping us find more local spots. Great time.

This is one of my favourite authentic bars. A very atmospheric place with great bartenders. We’ve already come back here a few times with friends. The snack menu is limited, but the beer selection is excellent! 🍻

Very nice stop at Prince of Wales. A good sample of Scottish cask beer with good advice and even possibilities to test ( they are also a lot of classical draught beers). I was really surprised by food that was really tasty and with a large choice. It's not on the mains street but it really worth the detour.

A proper pub with character! The Prince of Wales is full of charm — dark wood interiors, a classic bar, and that cosy, old-school feel you want from a good British pub. Tried their deep-fried haggis fritters (pictured), and wow — crunchy on the outside, rich and peppery inside, exactly what you’d hope for. Came with a fresh rocket salad and a light vinaigrette that balanced out the richness perfectly. Simple, hearty, and well done. Drinks were great too — solid beer selection, including local brews, and the service was friendly and unfussy. It’s the kind of place where you could easily lose track of time with a pint in hand. Perfect for a relaxed evening or a casual bite with proper Scottish flair. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in town and want something authentically local.

We were hungry and looked for a pub with good reviews close to the bus station. This one was perfect. Nice pub atmosphere. Found a table to sit despite it being busy. The bar staff were friendly and the service fast and efficient. The food came out much faster than we expected. My steak and ale pie was very tasty. No nasty gristle and my wife’s mince was good too. The Lemon tart was nicely tangy. Not Michelin star but just fine. We’ll be back with family next time.

The haggis pie was divine. I did not like the Cullen Skink soup. It was unlike all others I've had before.

Super pleasant atmosphere in the pub. The food was of high quality, and the staff were extremely professional when it came to dealing with allergies. The food arrived very quickly, and the mood was great throughout the entire evening. I can absolutely recommend the gluten-free food here.

Outstanding! I'm not the biggest sushi lover, I'm happy to eat it if that's the choice of the day, but it wouldn't be my preference. However that might change now after a trip to Yorokobi, it's up there as one of the best places to eat in Aberdeen.

A hidden gem on Huntly street. The best advice is to book your reservation online as the restaurant is small. The staff was as attentive to me as a solo person as a table for 4. The food, amazing. If I come back This will be one of my dinner stops.

Eating here was the best 65£ we spent on our holiday to Aberdeen. The titanic rolls and soft shell crab rolls were particularly good, and the waiters were very friendly and delivered excellent service. I fully intend to come back.

Amazing experience from here. We tried their Korean fried chicken, which was the right sauce on top and covered with perfectly cooked chicken inside. Also tried their beef Bulgogi, which was thin slices of beef, marinated in their sauce for 24 hours! Excellent food, friendly staff as well. We will definitely go back to try other food items from their menu ❤️

The sushi was absolutely phenomenal, freshly made and great presentation. Hand delivered by the chef himself. Good wine selection and lovely sake. By far the best sushi I've had in the UK. Update: Been here 5 times now. It is by far, some of the best sushi I have had in the UK. Every time I pass by Aberdeen, this place is a must.

Lovely little restaurant on Huntly Street. Unfortunately we book at the same time as a large group so service was slow due to having only 1 sushi chef, but that aside it was worth waiting for. The sushi and maki was first class, and our meal was lovely.

I usually love Yorokobi. Their sushi is absolutely incredible. However, this is my second time being served fish as a vegetarian. Even though I SPECIFICALLY asked for the vegetarian version of a sushi roll. They did remake it but only after I ate a piece, not knowing that they did in fact put fish in it. I was truly upset as I do not eat fish. This is a huge and very upsetting issue for me and probably any other vegetarians visiting. I was very clear on the fact that I'd like the roll to be made vegetarian. I don't think I will be back as this should have never even happened once.

Had a nice visit at the weekend, late on the afternoon. Ordered a cortado and cheese scone and sat at the window people watching. Service was quick but I was left thinking they had forgotten my scone when my coffee arrived, turns out it was being warmed up and arrived a few moments later. Staff were polite and friendly, making sure everyone was looked after.

Had a lovely brunch at this place. The location is great, easily approachable, the atmosphere is wonderful thanks to the bookshelves all around. The music choice and the food was great as well and all the staff members were kind.

It’s not our first visit to Books and Beans Café, and it certainly won’t be our last! This charming spot in the city centre has become our favorite place to enjoy breakfast. We love sitting on the second floor, where the cozy corner is filled with children's books and a long family-style table, perfect for gatherings. We always recommend booking early to secure our spot, especially if you plan to visit between 11:30 and 12:30—the ideal time to explore both breakfast and lunch menus! The staff is incredibly friendly and always eager to help with menu choices. Every dish we ordered was a delight! While the prices are a bit on the higher side, the experience is truly worth it. From the warm atmosphere to the delectable food, Books and Beans Café is a gem we’re excited to return to again and again! Highly recommended!

Coffee was good (bonus they don’t charge extra for oat milk) and service was quick. Nice decor and it didn’t feel too busy or crowded! The scone was hot and freshly made - but would’ve been better to have clotted cream rather than butter.

Two things I love in life: second hand books and coffee, so being at Books and Beans was like heaven. It was hard to leave - but they closed, so I had no choice 🤭. At least I was able to take some books with me home to Canada!

Went in for tea and a bacon croissant but no croissant available and was offered a bagel. I elected to have a fruit scone. It was small and doughy with plenty jam. The tea was good and hot in a cast iron teapot

Best omlette in Aberdeen. Guaranteed 3 eggs and superb fillings. Wonderful coffee and they don't charge extra for oatmilk AND they are dog friendly.

Had a takeaway on 2 occasions now from here, staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. Seems a really nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The gluten free pizzas are excellent.

Great help from staff to ensure we had the right choice for gluten free options to hand. They even brought a sample of the chilli out to ensure it wasn't too spicy for us before we ordered.

Lovely little place on the main street in Alford. Love alk the little quirks, the gin bottles as vases and the tables and chairs. Great food too, very quick service and very good atmosphere.

Excellent mince and tatties (mashed potatoes) with skirlie (oatmeal stuffing) and perfectly cooked vegetables.

Lovely place, always busy and friendly polite staff. Great menu and interesting specials. Unfortunately, not dog friendly but would be difficult to have a dog with you because there is not much space between tables.

It was a nice pub in a great location however let down by one female member of staff. We visited 01/03/25 at 12.30 and the lady was so rude for no reason. The rest of the staff seemed friendly and approachable but for what ever reason the lady seemed to hate me, other customers and her job. Come to aberdeen alot and so do 100s of my colleagues and non of them will come to this bar again because of her. Otherwise a great sport bar

Really good food for the price you pay. Drinks were brought to table very quickly. Plenty of TVs everywhere (even in the toilet) so you can always see your sport.

Better than Wetherspoons Friendly efficient service.Top notch food It's a sports bar with 40 screens for the footie. Personally I can't bear football and I was miffed because they stopped the music and put the volume up for a championship match featuring Burnley and played it to a half empty bar as it was late at night. There was horse racing on mute and the football match. I had a pint and lasagna. The food was still bubbling when I got it It came with salad and garlic bread and went down a treat. It's just down the road from my new flat so I will be there again. Hopefully on a day when there's no soccer on. Total cost £10 plus a 10% tip.

Food was just okay, nothing impressive. It’s a dark sports bar, not the kind of place my wife and I normally patronize. However, hunger overrode our instincts and nothing else was open in the area.

I had the pleasure of visiting Glen Garioch Distillery after a quick stay at Meldrum House. Initially, I thought this was just a convenient visit but it turned out to be so much more. Everyone here was super welcoming and accommodating. Even though I didn't had time for a tour, I was able to bottle my own Sherry Butt 2198! Didn't get her name but kudos to the wonderful lady who guided me the bottling!

Me and my boyfriend are from Argentina. We did the whisky tour few days ago. Hazel was out tour guide. The whole experience was amazing, and Hazel was very clear in her explanations (which was very important for us since we are foreigners) and also very very kind. She didn't do everything on a rush and took her time to explain everything very clearly and in detail. The rest of the staff was also very thoughtful and kind. The distillery is very beautiful and the whisky is excellent! Great experience for us in Glen Garioch.

We absolutely loved our tour at Glen Garioch Distillery! It was such an amazing experience. Our guide, Eddie, explained everything so clearly and with great enthusiasm. We learned a lot and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend this tour – we left truly impressed and delighted!

BWhat an experience! One of my best tours in a distillery ! Eddie was super nice, very engaging and so charismatic ! I definitely would go back but this time in winter when they are actually producing this beautiful and rich single malt. ❤️ and the best part is that you get to taste 3 samples! Don’t worry if you are driving or not drinking that day, you can let them know and they will give you a “to go” dose. ☺️

So happy that we chose Glen Garioch for our whiskey distillery tour. We happened to be going through the area and decided to stop for a tour and it was a great decision. Old Meldrum is a cute little town and the distillery was absolutely fabulous. Just a beautiful and historic facility where they still malt their own barley, which apparently is rare these days. We met Gill when we arrived and were able to get on a tour after a cancellation. Gill was charming and funny and very knowledgeable. She shared every detail of the whiskey making process and answered all questions with clear and concise answers displaying her knowledge. Highly recommend this place and the tour. I loved the 12 year old scotch and the whiskey cheese was delicious.

Lovely spot for brunch with lovely staff. Quite possibly my favourite brunch/lunch menu ever! Something for everyone including children's menu, vegan/veggie dishes, and options to add various extras and sides too. Good coffee. A few parasols/canopies outside would be the only thing that could improve the experience - lucky to visit on a very hot day. We sat inside which was lovely and cool. Dog friendly in and out and plenty parking too!

A gorgeous place to visit (especially on a sunny day) this eatery was lovely, but the atmosphere and customer service on our outing lacked a little. The food was nice - my mushroom quiche was to die for - but I would say the starters wowed more than the mains. The starter portions were very, very generous and were extremely delicious. I loved the the Dinnie Stones were places outside for guests to have a shot lifting - a brilliant homage to the area and its history.

Fab food and coffee, cosy interior. Visited at peak time so was loud acoustically so hard to hear conversation sometimes - but over all nice atmosphere and friendly staff

A firm favourite for coffee, cakes, and lunch! Beautifully situated by the Potarch Bridge, there is a cosy indoors and plenty of outdoor seating. Coffee is very good, and the cakes, albeit a small range, are incredible. Salted caramel brownie is a meal in itself. Always worth a visit.

A wonderful place to visit in an idyllic location near the river Dee. We stayed in the area for a few days and went for walks around and a visit to Loch Muick, however the cafe would be well worth the trip from Aberdeen for the day or as an excuse to stay nearby. The cafe is by a green with swings for children and is dog friendly with ample parking. The staff at Potarch are very welcoming and the service was exemplary. The cafe is a Scottish haven with a cosy interior, lovely decor and beautiful plants. A wood burner in the corner must be ideal on colder days but we were lucky to visit when the weather was warm. The cafe serves local, fresh food and meat from the farm on the estate. The owners clearly care a lot about where they source their food and focus on ensuring top quality ingredients are used to make all of their meals. The food and drink are excellent value and the portions are a very good size. We tried the coffee which was served in beautiful teacups and was delicious. The homemade fish finger sandwich was wonderful and came with pickled cucumber and homemade tartare sauce. The rustic fries went excellent as a side and the bread the fish came in was homemade and very tasty. We also tried the cheese and black pudding toastie which we would highly recommend, the venison burger which was one of the best burgers we’ve ever had and shared the side salad. The salad was wonderful, with fresh leaves, feta and quinoa and came dressed in a lovely dressing. We would definitely go back and wish we lived closer as it would be a frequent place if we did. We look forward to our next trip to Potarch from the south of England.

We always have a cracking time at Milton On The Corner. The food is always delicious with something for everyone, the service is always top notch and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It's a beautiful place to dine!

Really liked the atmosphere and the surroundings no dress code even though seems very posh... the waiter was pleasant friendly and helpful and great service the coffee was good and the bread was very soft and fresh the chips were also tasty... I will definitely go back and try some more stuff as I liked the atmosphere 😋 five stars

We waited quite a long time for our meals to arrive. Whilst my companions enjoyed their meals, mine was of a poor standard. I ordered the Mac and cheese with black pudding and a side of fries. The dish was dry with little or no sauce and had obviously been reheated in an oven as the little sauce there was, was stuck to the side of the dish. The black pudding was also very dry and the fries were quite cold. I did not complain at the time as we had already waited quite a time for our meals and my companions were enjoying theirs. Very disappointed. On a plus side the waiting staff were very good.

Had a delicious meal on Sunday. My husband had chicken burger and French fries. I had the bean and roasted vegetable loaf (vegetarian roast) with roasted potatoes, carrots, mashed swede, kale, tenderstem broccoli, green beans, Yorkshire pudding and red wine gravy. Oh my it was absolutely delicious. At last a place that does a vegetarian roast. We shared crème brûlée with blueberry sloe gin compote, it was very tasty. I had two cocktails, a French martini and a cosmopolitan, they were very good cocktails. This was our very first time at Milton on the Corner. It was amazing. It’s a beautiful restaurant. We will be back it was delicious. Drinks were served in beautiful crystal glasses. Lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Popular student haunt for drinks and socialising. I visited outwith term time and it was almost empty. The staff were really nice and friendly upgrading my order due to lack of ingredients. The music was on along with am the screens showing sports. Casual pub food.

Bartender was very nice and helpful. Made great food recommendations. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint. Very accommodating to my service animal.

We only came here because it was close by and were pleasantly surprised by the good value wine, selection of beers and inventive food menu at reasonable prices. Top marks to Jodie for her cheerful first class service at the bar!

Excellent venue. We went in after a bad experience in another establishment. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They had a large selection of beers and even let us taste ones we're not familiar with. It was a young atmosphere with Football Games on the TVs and people playing pool but very friendly and inviting. Only negative thing is that if your not a student it is very pricey.

Great place to have drinks. Surprisingly the food here is amazing too!! Highly recommend the wings and chicken burgers. Their chicken are amazing and juicy. On Wednesdays they have wings for only 25p each! The service was great and fast. The staff were friendly. It's a friendly, nice, student dominated bar. Can be very busy in the weekends. The place has quite a lot of tables and chairs but will be full in the weekends. Will definitely be coming back for the wings on Wednesdays!

I’ve been to the Bobbin before and it was a decent pub. Pretty loud, college scene which is great. Previously I had fairly slow service but they’re always super busy and having worked on a restaurant myself I understand completely. However, today I went on Wing Wednesday with a group of friends and we were served 26 completely burned cauliflower wings. I can’t even imagine serving a customer burned food at my workplace and the fact that a manager put the burned food down on our table without a second thought really makes me worry about the rest of the restaurant if the culture is one where this is acceptable even to management. Again, I don’t think it’s always this bad but today I was really disappointed.

Fish restaurant attached to a very popular chip shop. Fish is always fresh and cooked perfectly in crisp batter. They also do an excellent steak with chips, mushrooms, tomato, onion rings and salad. Mine was cooked as requested and enjoyed very much. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Not what it used to be. £3.50 for a small portion of chips to make my chicken fillets a supper. Chicken fillets are not what they used to be. Small, processed shape, tasteless and not sure what the coating is. Not breaded or battered. £8.50 total.

Welcoming staff, clean and presentable and excellent food, we all tried something different from the menu and everyone enjoyed their meals, the portions were generous even the kids meals! The fish and chips was amazing, not greasy at all and the curry sauce had a lovely tingle! Would definitely recommend, next time we are back in town we will definitely think about returning 😍👍

I came in around 4pm today with my grandson the fish was very fresh as were the chips it was superb l would highly recommend it to others.

Ordered a jumbo fish supper and it's the worst I've had for a long time. The fish batter was soggy the fish was grey and the chips were soggy. So I took it back in, handed it to the frier saying I'm giving you this back, it's the worst I've ever had. Without missing a beat he took the bag from me, threw it on the floor and continued speaking with one of the young lads. No question to inquire what the issue was, nothing, which made me think this must be a common occurrence there.

I went in your shop tonight and it was not nice very greasy and the chips wasn’t nice because thay had been in there for a long time every time so this is why I’m not happy if been to sea salt and soul and every time perfect why are your standards not as good as there’s kind regards Timothy Stevens

Contour Cafe is a small spot tucked away in a stunning little area, hidden from the busy main street running through Aberdeen town. From the outside, with all its seating, it definitely looks like a place that gets busy. I can imagine it being a lovely spot to sit and eat in the summer when the weather is nice. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, which added to the charm. The decor did not quite grab me though, it felt like it was not sure what it wanted to be, especially with the mix of seating styles inside. I had a BLT while I was there and it is honestly one of the better ones I have had in a long time. If I am ever back in Aberdeen, I will definitely be returning.

Unpretentious, with a modernist, youthful flair, this cafe in "The Green" of the old town cobbled square is a gem, with uncomplicated great food, reasonably priced, and friendly service. I enjoyed the very flavorful, grilled Haloumi wrap sandwich, accompanied by a fresh salad. Highly recommended!

This is a hidden gem, near where the old Aberdeen Market building was. Despite the view from the place looking like a war zone, there’s a lot of thriving little businesses in this area and this place is definitely one of them. Sandwiches were £8 but you definitely get your money’s worth and there’s a nice relaxed atmosphere to enjoy while you eat them. Will definitely drop in again!

walked in and they were playing american football’s when summer ends, so already welcomed with a warm midwest emo hug before i’d even sat down. the flat white was spot on — smooth & balanced. the kind of coffee you don’t need to overthink, just enjoy. staff were friendly without being performative, which is rarer than it should be. space feels modern but lived-in — light, open, a place you can actually relax in. if you’re into good coffee, nice staff and even better playlists, this place has both nailed both. update: they just started playing galaxie 500’s strange. turns out the playlist is as dependable as the coffee.

Yet another superb meal at Taste of Hong Kong. Most authentic Chinese restaurant in ABZ in my opinion at least. As ever on arrival restaurant was in full swing. Good vibe and our starters went down a treat. (Salt and Pepper chicken, Salt and Pepper ribs and spring rolls.) Mains were also very well received, and, again, clean plates. I opted for the Coconut chicken curry soup...wow! My fellow diners had dishes with Beef brisket, Duck and a King Prawn Ho Fan. Pics attached 😊😋 All in all a great evening in great company and great food. Highly recommend

Been away for almost a year but still my favourite restaurant in Aberdeen! The nasi goreng is still one of my favourite dishes there but there are many others I would recommend too! Their service is fantastic and always remember to check their facebook page/call to check if there are slots available! Always worth a visit!

Today I had lunch here. I ordered a total of four menus. As an Asian, I'd like to recommend this place with confidence!👍🏻 - Shredded Pork with Preserved Tuber Mustard with Jiangxi Rice Noodles - XO Fried Ho Fun with King Prawns - Handmade Dumpling - Hong Kong style iced milk tea Especially, the soup taste of 'Shredded Pork with Preserved Tuber Mustard with Jiangxi Rice Noodles' was so gooood!!😋 It's addictive even though I'm full. Dumpling was good, and iced milk tea was perfect for the finish. The staff was kind, too. But the store was a little hot,🥵I think it would be good for everyone if the entrance was open. If I come to Aberdeen again, I will visit here again.

I had such a wonderful dining experience here! The food was absolutely delicious – the Indonesian fried rice was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The portions were really generous, which made the meal even more enjoyable and great value for the price. On top of that, the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel very welcome throughout my visit. It’s not easy to find a place that delivers both great taste and warm hospitality, but this restaurant truly does. I’ll definitely be coming back again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for tasty food and a pleasant atmosphere!

Visited before attending a show in the Music Hall and was looking for a Chinese restaurant close by. The Taste of Hong Kong came up with great reviews so booked a table. It's not in the most impressive setting in Aberdeen or the most opulent in decoration but atmosphere completely changes on entering the establishment. We were greeted most warmly by a lovely lady and despite being 20mins early were ushered straight to a table. The young female waitress was a delight to have serving us. The menu was varied and full of mouthwatering photos of the dishes. We opted for the Salt and pepper ribs for starter. They were really tasty and enough for two to share. For mains we chose the Hong Kong special fried rice and chicken satay to share. Very generous portions and extremely tasty. Husband had 2 bottles Tiger beer and and I had a rose wine (small 187cl bottle Zinfandel). All in all we were very satisfied with all aspects of our experience. Lovely, friendly staff. Warm welcome & excellent service. What more can you ask for!!! Give this place a try. Don't be put off by first appearances. Will definitely visit again when we return to the Granite City.

The food was very authentic Cantonese. The egg noodles had crunch, the wonton substantial and flavoured nicely, the pan fried dumplings spot on and the wok fried noodles “chow mein” also authentic and very good. The cold HK style milk tea was pretty good. The only thing that wasn’t quite right was the Yin Yang tea (which is a combination of HK milk tea and coffee). Yin Yang tea is difficult to get right even in the best establishments No it’s no big sin to get that wrong here. Otherwise a great eatery.

We wanted to find a new caf that we had never gone to before. And we got there and there is 30 minutes before closing, and there are very accommodating, especially with my 2 little girls that decided with 10 minutes to closing, wanted some food, and even though the kitchen was closed and being cleaned down, they still made them some toast with jam. So yes, I'm very welcoming and nice little cafe.

Amazing coffee, and always a consistent taste, staff are always pleasant and friendly. We have now changed our shopping days to Elgin to coincide with their opening times. Probably the best coffee in town

Batchen Street Coffee Shop is my absolute go-to café in Elgin! They have the BEST coffee & the chicken, tomato, avocado & siracha mayo toastie is sooo tasty!! The cakes aren't too bad either ;) my latest favourite is the croissant with scrambled egg, bacon & maple syrup. I wasn't sure about the combination before I tried it but it was so good! The service is always amazing - the team are brilliant & really look after you when you visit. I can't recommend it enough.

Really great speciality coffee shop in Elgin - stopped in for a coffee and ended up getting lunch too. Staff are welcoming and friendly, and they have a great selection of retail condiments and coffee/tea kit. Was pleasantly surprised to see V60 on the menu and thoroughly enjoyed the Ethiopian beans.

We were on holiday in the area and around 2pm I looked up cafés nearby and this one came up with great reviews so we decided to give it a go. Walked in at 2:15 and waited politely at the entrance. There was only one table of customers inside so I asked the gentleman behind the counter if they were still serving. His response was a very curt “no” with no further explanation. Online it clearly says they’re open until 3pm so we were a bit taken aback by the abruptness. I later checked the reviews more carefully and realised quite a few people had mentioned the same attitude. A shame I didn’t spot that earlier really We ended up going to The Ditsy Teacup instead and what a difference. Warm friendly service and we were happily tucking into lovely paninis by 2:40 according to my phone photos. Won’t be returning here but at least we found a new favourite elsewhere ——————————————— Reply to the owner: Thank you for your response. I understand that kitchens have closing times, and that is completely reasonable. However, when my child and I arrived, we were simply told “we don’t serve food” with no further explanation or offer of drinks or cakes. I said “okay, thank you” and we left. The interaction felt a little abrupt and didn’t quite feel very welcoming. Maybe he assumed I wouldn’t understand, which is a shame. Both my child and I noticed this and were a bit disappointed. Fortunately, we found a lovely café nearby and enjoyed the rest of our afternoon. I hope future guests have a warmer experience at your place. I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I will leave it here and hope this feedback helps improve things moving forward.

Thanks for your reply! but having just read your post on facebook that Dogs may no longer be welcome, I very much doubt you will see me again as the only reason we visit is because you WERE dog friendly! 🐶☹

Great coffee, great food , lovely friendly service from the manager and young staff and a wonderfully laid back relaxed vibe , why are all cafes not like the Batchen? a breakfast naan with bacon and egg and a fab flat white x 2 , excellent place for a light lunch when in Elgin

I don't usually eat chicken wings. However, someone recommended this place, so I tried it out. Unlimited Chicken Wing Wednesday, where you can order unlimited chicken wings. They come in batches, the first batch comes in 10s with sauce afterwards, and they come in 5s without sauce. The rating for are: 1) Buffalo Wings: 8/10 Incredible combo of flavour. Lemony yet spicy and delicious. The different layers of flavours work and the spice stacks the more wings you eat. 2) Dragon Spice Wings: 7.5/10 Strong flavourful with the right balance of MSG. Tasty yet doesn't make you thirsty. 3) Korean BBQ Wings: 5/10 Taste alright, nothing special. The recipe can be refined. Only eating chicken wings on its own doesn't sit right. So, for a better experience, eat it alongside something else like a dessert or some fries.

Lovely welcoming people and a chilled atmosphere. Ended up in here on my own on my birthday and was kept entertained by the bar staff (it was a quiet night) with great company and conversation. The manager was lovely and professional. The bar staff were knowledgeable and helpful. All were friendly and the right people at the right time doing a great job. Food the next night was great, too. All power to the team.

Our booking was moved twice but all was good when we eventually arrived. Staff were really helpful and attentive and made it a nice evening. Food was good, however they had run out of 2 or 3 kids options (which, for Father’s Day was a surprise). All in all the staff saved the day and we had a good time.

Travelling to Scotland from Canada Ellie single handedly gave us the best service we've received here. Food, great. Music, great. Service, spectacular. Highly recommend this location. Not to mention maybe some of the best beers I've ever had. GO HERE AND ASK FOR ELLIE!

3 items we ordered were currently unavailable, meaning we had to cancel Order & reorder. When it arrived the regular wings at £11.95 was bigger than the feast at £17.95. We had expected the feast to have more than 6 pieces of chicken. Service was slow, so we went next door for ice-cream rather than stay for dessert. Staff were very pleasant & apologetic, I feel the downsides were things they were unable to really do much about.

We were in on Friday 29th Aug celebrating a birthday and Rob looked after us so well allowing tasters of beers before we committed to the big glass! Great service and well looked after / had a great night - food was ace and we were not rushed - music and atmosphere spot on / thanks

Myself and a friend went into brewdog inverurie for a quick drink as we had half an hour before our bus was due. The girl behind the bar asked if we had a reservation, I replied no we just want a quick drink, she replied *it's fathers day so you need a reservation *. I told her we would just be 20 minutes, she again said, you need a reservation. The place only had 3 tables occupied but still she wouldn't let us have a drink, on the way out 1 table had reserved from 1.30pm and one had reserved from 2.30pm. Absolute disgrace turning customers away. Had to put in details to post this but none true as we were turned away

Love a breakfast or lunch here filled with memories of coming for 20+ years. Many changes and positively access to vegan. Only a small point. Why when we are in Scotland, do they call it an English breakfast especially when it is full of Scottish ingredients. English tea which is neither made or grown in England. This is an offence to the fragile Scottish culture trying to survive here. Also, staff are sometimes overwhelmed at busy times and make basic mistakes. Having worked in hospitality for over 35 yr, people don't mind waiting for their order as long as it is correct and staff are happy and pleasant.

Not good at all. Ordered 2 breakfast roll , coffee and a can of drink , cost £18 that include a £3 money off voucher. Thw saudage and hash browns did not taste good at all , ok the eggs where nice but that’s about it

Love the location , riverside , plenty space and big old trees. The lodge itself is very charming , well taken care of and a stylish decoration inside, plenty to look at. Outside terrace very nice , friendly bar and relaxed dining. Staff are open to requests without hassle. Good clientele. Our meal was lovely , thx to David and his team, from the logan family :)

Went to the Banchory Lodge today after being out a lovely walk with my Ukrainian friends. Stopped for a coffee for us all. Totally forgot it was Fathers Day. Started to rain so requested a table inside. Alistair went the extra mile and accommodated us inside in a private room. David and staff were so obliging . So appreciated by us all. All a great credit to the Banchory Lodge. We will be back. Maggie Will.

This was our favorite hotel of our month in Scotland. Beautifully decorated spacious room, excellent food, gracious service, and the River Dee out your window. We stayed two nights and would have loved to stay even longer.

Banchory Lodge hosted our daughter’s wedding last weekend. The hotel is superb, rooms first class and situated on the banks of the River Dee. Food at breakfast was superb, good selection and hot food served freshly cooked to order. Shout out to Davide and Dianne who went above and beyond for everyone. Amazing weekend. Would highly recommend.

We were here for a family event. The service was excellent, and both the food and drinks were wonderful. We sat in a beautiful covered conservatory. Aside from the already stunning atmosphere, the location is truly outstanding, the lodge is situated right by the River Dee, and at an especially beautiful spot. You can walk down to the river, and there are benches where you can sit and enjoy the view.

We are just home from Banchory lodge after a couple of nights with friends. I can not recommend this hotel highly enough. Food amazing Cocktails even better. Every single team member we were in contact with were amazing. So friendly.so professional. Huge thanks to G.M Davide. He goes above and beyond what anyone could expect. An absolute asset! Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Will definitely be back soon. Trouble with wasps in the hotel that reduced it from 5 stars but that is a seasonal problem everywhere. The grounds around the hotel are perfect for short walks.

The best Chinese food I have ever tasted. The smoked shredded chicken is gorgeous so we ordered a second helping of that! Staff are so friendly and keep asking if you want more. Great that it is all you can eat, but still a proper sit down restaurant with high quality food. This was our second time, and we will now be a regular!

Lovely meal here tonight. We went for the buffet but it was not on. Instead, for the set price we ordered a selection of dishes to share. The staff encouraged us to try various different dishes and to keep ordering. The honey chilli prawns and the roast duck and pork with beansprouts were particularly good but all the dishes were well flavoured and freshly prepared. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Great place to fill your belly!! £15 for buffet without drinks and everything on the menu is lovely, duck, chicken balls, salt and pepper strips...the lot. Delicious! The staff are nice and friendly also which makes the visit more enjoyable. Kids menus are available also so it's family catered. What more do you want? Recommended going with an empty stomach.

On behalf of my dinner party we would rate this restaurant 10/10. What more is to say, very good food, friendly staff and excellent value for money. We had the fixed price buffet menu, all you can eat and cooked to order ......OMG we could not fault it. The food was flavoursome and fresh and there was stacks of it. Our table was booked for 3pm and we was still sat there at 5pm. There was no pressure to leave and staff was very happy to continue serving. We will definitely be going back and will also order from the take away menu. I am so fussy when it comes to food and stick to what I know and like but because of the style of menu on offer, this was perfect for me because it gave me the option to try different dishes. Please try you will not be dissapointed!!

Water Margin is fantastic! We were in Aberdeen for a conference and stumbled upon this amazing little treasure. Caroline was delightful as our hostess. The food, start to finish, was extraordinary. We had a great time! Don't miss out on this experience.

I would not recommend this take away. Food was very poor. The salt and chilli chicken had no taste and left a feeling of having eaten dust in ones mouth. The batter felt like it had been reheated several times. The spring rolls were lukewarm and the sauce was truly terrible both vinegary and stale at the same time.HORRIBLY RANK!!! The fries were soggy the beef in black bean sauce was way too salty and left a strange coating in ones mouth. The curry didn't taste of curry but was soft and easy to eat....sounds like a recommendation of a nursing home menu!!!

The most authentic Chinese food I've had in Aberdeen. Comparable to the Chinese food I had in mainland China during my 8 years there. The Sichuan fish us big enough for at least two people. The salted egg prawns are great too. Only accepts cash.

My girl friend wanted to stay here, and so it was. Greeting was spot on, friendly, welcoming, especially the porters and the Dog. Room was fine. The Flying Stag pub, very nice where we eat the first night. The Whiskey bar and the team that run it off first class, their knowledge of Whiskey Guided me to 2 whiskeys that I liked. The ambience of this small, Intimate, comfortable room. Which promotes conversation between guests and expert alike The cocktail bar was great. The restaurant was okay. If you order this 35 day steak, be aware there is enough for 2). I asked for a doggy bag and had to sign a disclaimer to take it. That’s a first ! Asked For an explanation, and for the Chef to come out, have a drink with me and chat through our food experience. Sadly, he never come. Will be back one day to enjoy it again it’s a living breathing energetic experience to stay here. And the art is amazing.

On holiday locally and happened to be looking for a nice cocktail. What a find..... Ela's cocktail bar a lovely cozy spot. Perfect for relaxing over a cocktail or two. Made with creativeness..... enthusiasm and skill. Aside from the classics they do an exceptional line in unique creations. Well done to Fergus and the team.

Loved our stay at The Fife Arms. Room was very clean. The whole hotel is decorated beautifully. Food at both restaurants was good, appreciated the vegetarian options. It was a good central location to take some day trips from too. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at The Fife Arms. The hotel itself is truly a work of art! We loved the art tour, it was fascinating to learn about the pieces and explore the property. The restaurant was exceptional, and our room was absolutely beautiful, with every detail thoughtfully designed. We can’t wait to return!

The Fife Arms is a wonderful hotel and the only disappointing part of our stay was that we only stayed for 1 night. Amazing food in the restaurant, fabulous art work on all the walls (and ceilings) and beautiful setting in Braemar. Absolute highlight was our Ghillie Tour with Darren in the wonderful Fife Arms Defender. His local knowledge was wonderful and we were able to see so much of the area that would otherwise have been unavailable to us. Can't recommend this hotel enough and hope to return in the future.

The most expensive meal we have bought on our Scotland holiday, and by some margin the poorest quality unfortunately. The veggie burger and bun was so soaked with mayonnaise that it was verging on inedible, and the port soaked cheese was quite unpleasant really (bring back the cheese board!). Service was good, they squeezed us in at a busy time without a reservation, and the selection and quality of drinks at the bar is great. But unfortunately it feels like a bit of a tourist trap, with rather low quality fare for high prices, only slightly made up for by the grandness of the property.

loved my stay here for our honeymoon but ofcourse nothing is perfect. The amazing: the area, our suite, the gillies helping us schedule everything we dreamed of doing, the hotel dog ayo, the fondue restaurant, the flying stag, the lounge area with board games, the tea and hot chocolate the okay: the clunie restaurant the not great: i'd like to assume that some people had maybe called out sick, but the service was unfortunately slow especially at clunie all in all, LOVED my time!

Had a four night stay over the weekend to attend a family wedding at the hotel. From start to finish, everything ran perfectly. Every staff member we encountered -and there was plenty of them- was efficient, friendly and polite. The food was outstanding throughout, best haggis, neeps and tatties I’ve ever had. Restaurant and bar were very good. Rooms very clean with modern en-suite facilities (floorboards were a bit squeaky but it’s not a new building so that happens.) Good location with plenty of bus services into the city. Overall, an excellent time spent at the Palm Court and the wedding went off without a hitch thanks to the staff.

Stayed last night, for our 1 year anniversary. We got married here also. we adore the place, it’s clean and the staff are so attentive. nothing is too much. the wedding day was also perfect and they made our day so special. breakfast was amazing. Rooms have amazing facilities! we can’t wait to come back for meals/stays.

The women at the reception desk is a star. the bed is so comfortable and manage to get a great night sleep. unfortunately our room did not have the mini fridge or WiFi on the tv. 2nd time staying and would definitely come back for how good the sleep is. even both nights had wedding's and in our room you can't hear nothing.

Prices are fair. Service is good. Food quality is good for the price. You can get a pint of tennents for £4.25. You can get a burger, fries and beer for £18, with their Mon-Friday deal, between 12-4 I think. Locals seem nice. Nice place to be.

Excellent value for money. The rooms were spacious and quiet, with plenty of space in both the bedroom and bathroom. Parking was convenient with ample space, and the restaurant was very good. Service was attentive, and the reception staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was simple but good, making for an easy and enjoyable stay.

My wife and I stayed here on a Saturday night. We just finished a busy day and were looking at a jam packed day ahead of us. However, there was a wedding and a party with loud music thumped all night. We didn't get much sleep. Excellent staff and food. Bad timing on our part.

Very poor service when we went for lunch. The food was good but we had to wait for well over an hour to be served without a clear explanation. They did give us a small discount for exceptionally long wait but some of the staff were just under-par and didn't seem interested to serve. Saw a family get up and leave after waiting for 30 minutes just to take their order. Really bad service.

We booked very last minute and the staff gave us such a warm welcome. We stayed in the shooting lodge. An absolutely stunning room. We had a gorgeous meal, so relaxed and the staff were really attentive. A lovely breakfast by a roaring log burner making it extra cosy. A beautiful luxurious hotel full of charm and enhanced by fabulous staff. Would love to stay again. Highly recommend.

We had a great overnight stay here. The staff were very welcoming and our romm was very comfortable indeed. We had dinner in the restaurant (reservations necessary) and the dishes we had were both excellent with great sauces and amazingly fresh fish. The breakfast was similarly glorious with very tasty items in the full Scottish. Nice location very handy for a lot of locations of interest around the NE Scotland area. Path to the rail path network is just 30yds from gate. Haddo House and other sites of interest a short drive away. A gem of a place hidden away in the quiet countryside .

Super friendly staff, with the hotel being set in a beautiful Countryside location. The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was excellent. The only small gripe was that the room only had a shower and no bath, but I most likely missed that when booking. Not sure if a bath is available in other rooms. We had a STD King room from memory. Would definitely stay there again, without hesitation.

Had a long weekend away in the Sapling Brae Lodge which was just what we wanted. There were 4 of us staying. The little log burner was a must to use, so cosy and lodge very well equipped.Went fishing as hotel guests can use the nearby Pitfour Lake for free. Have to take your own fishing equipment and it's catch and release. I've even went and bought the mattresses they use, such a comfort sleep. We had a doggie with us, bed and biccies available for Buddy too. Staff very welcoming and informative. Recommend a stay if this is what your looking for 😀

ohh where do I begin :( We went for a birthday meal a Tuesday evening. There were 4 of us and we were early and the only ones there. Prices are high so priced as fine dining so expectations were set accordingly but this was by far not fine dining ! I had the Mackrel on a bed of potato salad for starter. That potato salad was pre manufactured not made fresh. The Mackrel though nice was smoked and the menu did not specify that. My husband had a small offering of crab no fresh but from a tub mixed with lime ! It needed crackers or something as a vessel for this. Son in law had the vaffels it was like eating a dessert as it was drenched in maple syrup. Please taste the food and think about how this is going to be eaten before it leaves the kitchen. Not worth the pennies we paid for it. Maincourses did not fare much better. The fish was tiny and it was £ 18.00 The side salads of noodles I don't even understand why you would put asian inspired salad on a meal like that. My steak was £ 34.00 fried on 1 side and boiled on the other !! what the hell was that. The sauce was greasy and unpleasant. My husbands beef though tender had a few potato balls of some sort below and nothing much else to accompany the beef. He said it need a side of chips or something. Again for £ 26.00 not acceptable. Desserts I mean charging £ 11.00 for a bought pavlova and slapping some cream and fruit on top is not cooking and that was unappetizing to say the least. My daughter had the pave. We didn't really understand what that was but didn't look homemade and also there was no honeycomb as promised. During the meal though there was 2 servers we were not asked we were ok with our drinks or needed more. Too much chatting and not enough attention to the guests or the quality of the food. £ 190.00 it cost us and feel utterly robbed. Never again ! shame as the setting is nice.

To be honest I don't know how this place has so many good comments. I just had a Shish Tawouk Meal which was awful and chicken was totally burnt. No taste whatsoever.

This has to be one of our favourite dining out experiences in Aberdeen. The food is terrific and the owners and their staff are so courteous. Try it for yourself/ yourselves. We guarantee that you will enjoy it. Looking forward to eating there again tomorrow.

Very positive first-time experience. Good quality food, service, and location. Looking forward to the upcoming home delivery option and perhaps the longer-term possibility of chicken shawarma/rice on the menu for consideration as well to make the meal complete. Definitely recommended and returning with other locals who crave Lebanese food as well.

I've been to Kamoon over 15 times since it has opened, and it's been consistently excellent. The food is all freshly made, with fresh ingredients that you could feel and taste straight away. This is by far my favourite take away in Aberdeen now, nothing else competes with it. Well done guys and keep up the good work. P.S. The falafel wrap is something out of this world, highly recommended :)!!

The service is friendly yes, but sadly this is the only thing from all these positive reviews that we were able to relate to. The meals were very average tasting and expensive for what they were. Worse, the meat was dry, didn't taste fresh and had no flavour. Was hoping to finally find a good Lebanese restaurant in Aberdeen but no luck so far.

Really nice to see a freindly old-fashioned pub still open these days. Most of them are trying to be wetherspoons or look like a dentists waiting room but this place still looks like a pub is ment to look. Staff are great it's always full of families feels like a big living room. The boat building workshop next door has a glass front too so you can see all the progress of boats being built.

This pub doesn't serve food which is a big plus for me. The beers are pretty good the locals very friendly and the bar maid hilarious. Grab a beer and sit outside on the harbour wall.

Great pub. All they serve is booze & maybe a packet of nuts. There was a band on when we visited on a Saturday afternoon. Pub was full. Atmosphere was ace.

Stopped off for a coffee and scone after walking the dogs. Went in and asked if there was anywhere we could sit with 2 dogs. They said they have a courtyard accessible from a side alley . The gate has to be open from the inside as it is bolted. Perfect! Waitress filled a water bowl with fresh water for the dogs. We had coffee, sandwich and scones with real clotted cream. Excellent. The cafe is second to none. Service great. Prices fair. It's right up there with its heritage. Authentic feel with royal connections. You can sit next to a train carriage or wander through the old royal waiting room. Well done...suggest you advertise dogs can go in courtyard though as we saw a couple of people with dogs hesitate to go in and then walked on past.

Visited for afternoon tea, and it was lovely - as close to perfection as I've had in Aberdeenshire! Nice selection of sandwiches and a generous scone and cake / patisserie platter. The scone plate had real clotted cream too - fancy!! The tearoom itself is immaculately done out, and the waiting staff were spot on. It's a bit pricey, but I would highly recommend a visit.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Carriage Tea Room, lovely food, China, surroundings, friendly staff, well worth a visit, in fact, going to dinner tomorrow night!

The lounge and setting was very pretty. The menu creative and generally delicious. The slight disappointment was that the scones were a bit hard and one staff member a little inflexible. Maybe she was having a bad day. I would still recommend afternoon tea here.

Delightful Saturday evening meal at the Bistro. Rarely is a meal out with young children relaxing, but the friendly attentive service, the private booths, and the delightful decor kept kids and adults both happy. The food was good quality and reasonably priced too. A win-win for our little family! 😁

I have been here a number of times. It’s located right on the beach front so is very busy, along with the fact it’s next to an ice cream shop so could be very convenient for both. £10.50 for the Steak Burger, cheese and chips. I guess is not too bad. The queue was long but moved quickly. The chips were ok and the burger was tasty. the cheese on top was fine but could be melted for a better taste. The BBQ sauce was nice. There are extra sauces and condiments etc, which are extra charges. This is a takeaway, however you can sit outside on a number of the available benches or on the sea front.

Ok.... first off i want to say I have always rated The Bay as one of the best chippies in Scotland. I tell anyone who will listen how good it is. But.... I hadn't been for a while and last night we stopped on our way South. Ordered on line. Prices are on the expensive side but I always thought worth it. Service great. Bang on time when we picked up. No complaints about the taste and quality. Both very good. However, I don't know if we were unlucky but our servings were small. Noticeably small, not just the fish but a small helping of chips too. And youre having a laugh charging £1.20 for the tiny serving of tarter sauce. I like the chippy but £11.50 for that size of fish supper, I think there's places that offer better value.

Fantastic fish and chips which tasted amazing. There was a considerable queue on a sunny bank holiday Saturday evening which is always a good sign. It was very organised with the staff knowing how to manage such a busy establishment. Our fish and chips were great and drinks and condiments were very up market for a chip shop. A lovely area to visit on a sunny day, I would highly recommend.

During our trip to the coast, our group stumbled upon a charming fish and chip shop that left a lasting impression. The restaurant doesn’t offer indoor seating, so be prepared to queue—but trust me, the wait (about 15 minutes for us) is absolutely worth it. The fish was outstanding: crispy on the outside, tender and flaky inside, cooked to perfection. And the tartar sauce? A revelation—creamy, tangy, and full of flavor. Even one member of our group who follows a vegan diet found a satisfying option, which speaks to the shop’s thoughtful menu. There are outdoor seating areas available, perfect for enjoying your meal in the fresh sea air. Just across the road, there’s a large public parking lot, making access easy. Best of all, the view from the restaurant is stunning—you can gaze out over the sea while savoring your food. It’s the kind of place that turns a simple meal into a memorable moment.

It’s a nice modern chip shop conveniently located on the waterfront. Service was all pretty quick when I visited although it was earlier in the day. Decided to go for a sausage supper. The sausages weren’t like normal chip shop sausages, but not in a bad way. They were sized like normal sausages you’d buy in a shop/butcher and had a unique taste I couldn’t put my finger on - wee bit boozy maybe? Very nice whatever it is. Chips were a bit meeeh, especially for chip shop chips. The portion was also very disappointing. Have seen from pics usually the portion is bigger but bit disappointing if theyre not consistent. Would probably try it again for the fish, but maybe have it single with a side rather than chips.

The bay fish and chip shop in stonehaven is fantastic ....the food is made to order we both had fish and chips and well the fish was supper fresh the batter was light and fluffy and the chips were crispy and fluffy in the middle the staff were super friendly 10/10 one of the best chippy's i have been to

We attended on Monday evening and were seated by a pleasant young lady. We decided on our drinks and decided that carvery was the safer option for my wife, who is a coeliac. I was aghast at the carvery as all the meats looked as if they had been sitting there all day. Really dried out but the vegetables were a disgrace. Peas were all dried out and not green, the carrots had blackened edges. The roast pots were the best part but not hot. This was not a good experience but we settled for ice cream which was delightful and the best part of the meal. As for the staff, they were an absolute delight, so attentive, polite and amusing. They were so apologetic about the food but it was not their fault as that lay with the restaurant manger and his chefs, the restaurant supervisor never once checked on the food. It really was not good and I will never return . This Toby is not to be recommended unless you get there when it opens as i suspect it is the only time the food is edible. Shame as Toby was so value for money and tasted like food.

I enjoyed my carvery the last time I was up, Kirsty and Pat did a wonderful job, the young girl Kirsty went above an beyond, very polite and helpful. The only beef I would have was that from where I was sitting it appeared that she was left on the floor to do quite a lot herself, when it seemed there were plenty other bodies going about that could have mucked in a bit more.

We had a carvery meal tonight, the meat was dried out, it looked like the vegetables had been sitting there since lunchtime. The roast potatoes were rock hard, the other vegetables were tepid and the gravy had a thick skin over it. The chef needs to check the temperature of his food. I won't be recommending the restaurant.

Wednesday 15th of April 2024. Not really one for leaving reviews but the helpful service we got from the staff needs to be spoken about! Our lovely server Eioghan was so helpful and inviting. We weren’t even sure we wanted to stay for dinner after reading some of the reviews online. Not only did Eioghan make us feel welcome and cared for (basically the minute we came in!) but he also seemed genuinely interested in our needs. There needs to be more people like him! When ordering our drinks the bar staff were lovely and full of suggestions based on what we already said we liked. Amazing job all round. Very satisfied

Carvery was decent and we enjoyed the meal, good value for the price. Dined on a Saturday 6th Sept in the evening at approx 6.30pm and though we booked there did not appear to be a shortage of tables. Under 6s menu seemed a bit rubbish but thats a chain decision - Cost £8 for some nuggets, salad sticks and a fruit shoot. Thinking back I'm not sure if our toddler was also allowed to have stuff off the veg/potatoes but of the carvery for that price - the waitress did not explain if so? After a recent refurb, the place looks a lot nicer and more welcoming. The staff member seemed a bit inexperienced and was in such a rush they didn't really appear to listen very well. Entering with my partner and a small child, the waitress steamed ahead to show us to our table, only I managed to keep up as my partner was walking with our toddler. She then asked for our drinks order whilst my partner and child were still 10m from the table. I had to decline to order immediately as I didn't know what they wanted. It took her 10 minutes to return which was a tad frustrating as if she'd hung about another 30 seconds until we were all seated we could have just put in our drinks order. Later we had asked for her the bill, only for her to return 5 mins later and ask us again if we wanted the bill. I presume the place is short-staffed given she was in such a rush. We had asked her if the under 6 meal included a drink and she had said yes and pointed at the menu but we later realized it was not included - it did feel like she wasn't really listening. Otherwise her attitude was perfectly pleasant so I can only assume a lack of experience on her part and perhaps being short staffed meaning she was in a rush. Overall some issues I'm sure management could easily resolve with some training of FOH staff.

Food is crazy with lots of starters, drinks and pizzas selection. With new menu they r rocking. Need to mention the service which is fabulous and chef is brilliant. Last but not least desserts are very good.

Wow!! Real Italian pizza in Aberdeen! And it's delicious! And the pies are huge! This is the real thing, folks. I only wish that I had asked for extra tomato sauce because it was SO good. Service was great as well. So why only 4 stars? The restaurant was unreasonably cold today at lunch. The seating (the bench at the back wall) was very uncomfortable. The pizza was £2.50 more than what's listed on their website. The music was very annoying (rap, hip hop and thankfully mostly pop) especially until the place got busier and started to drown it out. The knives were not sharp enough. And worst of all - they put an "optional" 10% service charge at the bottom of their receipt. Which I paid because I'm soft. The reason tipping is a thing in the US is because the minimum wage for servers there is £1.68/hour. Considering that the 23 and over minimum wage in the UK is over 6 times that amount - tipping should never be a thing in the UK. But, yeah. AWESOME pizza. 👍

Used to be the best pizza in Aberdeen, but they have changed their pizza style and it's now pretty dreadful. The dough really wasn't good and the pizzas are square and small. The prices have gone up comparatively also, it's clearly a cost cutting exercise. The wait staff were great as always, but I won't go back unless they change back to their previous pizza style :(

We went there at opening time on Sunday, and from being the 2nd couple in, in a matter of minutes the place was fairly busy. It was very hard for me to choose a pizza as all of them sounded delicious so I decided to opt in for a "special 13" which is completely up to the pizzaiolo to choose whichever ingredients goes on your pizza. And I was not disappointed! Delicious with a nice combination of flavours and textures I didn't really have a hard time to finish it 😌 on top of it the price was fair with a fairly quick service! Recommended!

This is my go to pizza spot - pizzas are incredible, Neapolitan style, wood fired bursting with fresh ingredients. Vegetable pizza with aubergines, courgettes and peppers is my favourite of the lot. Took as takeout because of the lockdown and I think many other people had the same idea. Price is always very fair. You can get offers between £5-6 per pizza which is a steal!

EVOO - is Extra Virgin Olive Oil . Why did i say this at the start, we kept staring at menu wondering what it was , as most dishes would have it 😀. We went there on one of the bank holidays. There was a wait time about 5 mins. We were served by a friendly staff. Learned kids get juice and ice cream as part of the meal deal. We opted for panosso. I was expecting a small sandwich but what we got was a large sourdough bread sandwich. It was quite a portion and we had to take leftover home (they don't mind) . Overall for 2 person and 1 small kid the cost was £19 to give you a cost perspective . There is definitely lack in the the type of filling used (chicken) but there are plenty of other places to go. When it comes to authentic Italian food with quality ingredients which can be quite good for your body, this is a good place. We will be back for a pizza (son ordered it) it was delicious 😋

Delicious dishes, pizzas are cooked to perfection. Staff are lovely! All in all an accommodating menu with plenty of food and beverage options that you can Taylor your tastes to. Can get a bit loud! Just how I like it; 😁😂😋🙂

Amazing fish and chips, fresh and crispy. One of the best ones we have ever tried. We bought them and travelled from the shop to our home, took almost an hour. Just airfield 5 min to reheat and both fish and chips were super crunchy and yummy.

I had to go to this place as it was recommend and was voted Chippie of the year couple of years ago. Wonderful haddock and the chips were very good. Only negative was the batter at the ends of the fish was oily but the haddock was perfect, flaky and cooked right. Portion size good. It was very busy chippi but the service was spot on. Small sitting area outside. This place was the birthplace of deep fried mars bar. No I didn’t try that.

Was recommended by a local as it was apparently the birthplace of the deep fried mars bar. Had fish and chips and of course the mars bar and everything was satisfying. Probably better eaten fresh as the fish wasn't as nice once its cooled but there's no option to dine in but it still tasted good after a 20min drive home.

The best fish and chips I will ever have in my life. I can't stop thinking about these fish and chips. They are piping hot from just being cooked and you can get the small fish and chips (It's actually a very good sized meal that can fill up most adults) for under 10 pounds. Get the fish and chips, you will not regret it.

Yesterday i came to the Dolphin Cafe try their famous fish and chips. All the girls were very nice and friendly. The service was pretty quick. Fish and chips turned out amazingly delicious so I definitely will come back.

Spectacular burrito and enchiladas. Full of flavour with fresh ingredients. The interior of the place is fantastic too. The fillings were tasty, prices reasonable. Good take-away Mexican. Not expensive at all and the quantity as well as quality is quite good. It is not a restaurant, but this is not what it is supposed to be! It is certainly pretty good for a take-away and you also have some choice. I can also recommend the Mexican drinks from the fridge. They have a special taste but not a bad one. So try it out!

A nice cozy Mexican take out place. The prices are cheap and reasonable. The staff was nice and the service was quite quick. Ordered the enchilada with pork carnitas and a 'punch in the face' salsa. The fillings inside were bland. I had high hopes for the spicy salsa, hoping it to actually punch me in the face. Unfortunately, it wasn't even spicy. Overall, it was bland but for the price, I guess it's okay. I've had better Mexican food in Aberdeen.

Simple street food that are ok and reasonably priced. Staff are very pleasant and the place is hip. There are not much spaces for dining in but good for a quick bite or to go.

I got the 10 taco box everything was delicious the only thing I wasn’t completely satisfied with was the spice level even the hottest things we ordered weren’t very spicy was still delicious though.

We were on holiday in the area at the weekend and were looking for a good fish and chips. After trawling google, we settled on Dolphin and we were very happy with our choice. The food was exceptional. Undecided between scampi and fish, we noticed that they offered a Duo Supper (scampi and fish), so this made our decision very easy. The fish was beautiful, lovely batter, the scampi was exceptional good crisp breadcrumb and tasty and the chips were very good. No greasy and just the right amount. We also ordered a large single fish, and the portion size was fantastic, one large piece of fish and smaller piece. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dolphin Fish and Chips to anyone in the area.

Put in an order tonight for delivery they called back after an hour to say they didn't have one of the things ordered no problem son changed what he wanted. Finally got the order and was really disappointed some of the chips were black and really dry the fish the batter was overcooked and fish was tasteless burgers went down a treat with the boys but overall really disappointed for an award winning chippy. Won't be back!!!

I was in on Monday after travelling from Stirling got my self a sausage supper and a fish supper took it to the car and I’m not saying this was the best chips I’ve ever tasted defo worth the 3 hour drive , then I relised the next day I lost my purse after retracing my steps I realised it cud be in the chip shop and they went above and beyond and posted my purse back not only the best fish and chips but the staff are so friendly and go above and beyond if I cud give them 10 stars I wud as that’s what they are will definitely be returning 💙

First time eating from here and very disappointed. The two lots of Large chips I ordered were at most no bigger than small and the pie I ordered for my son wasn’t even in the bag when I got home. I did call the shop and the girl left me on hold for ages before coming back on the phone to say there was nothing she can do about it. Definitely won’t bother going there again.

First time visiting this award winning chippy. Fish was really good, not the best I’ve ever had, but certainly near the top. For me, the chips were ok, if anything a bit dry.

I've never been to a chippy that comes out light on the chips, £7.40 for fish is fine, but charging £3.50 for a portion of chips a kid would have found small isn't good enough. need to do better

Ordered using a 3rd party ap, it didn't arrive, tried to call the chip shop 10 times and just ringing and ringing with no answer, sent 3 emails... 4 hours later I got a reply and they agreed to refund me... still waiting on a refund and 18 pound down and nothing to show for it... looking at these reviews, I think they need to seriously sort their business out because this is very poor to operate like this.

Great chippy, the fish was so nice and the batter lovely and crispy. Only downside was the gravy which wasn't that great but it didn't spoil the meal coz the fish more than made up for it.

Decent Chip Shop, used the online ordering service a few times over the last few months, delivery fee is very steep compared to other take out places. Went in for a walk in on a Sunday night, good Covid protection in place, and didn’t have to wait to long for the order to be completed. Fish was ok but limited chips, and some were were burnt and hard. The new buzzer system allows you to go back to your car and get informed when your orders ready.

Very over priced for average food. Chips with sauce and small juice cost over £10, my local chipper would be around £5 for this. Server was friendly and food was edible but certainly not worth the price.

I got chips and cheese and they put a lot of it and you would be like that's a good thing right but no the cheese on my chip were fake and the cheese felt like it was a ice cube so don't go here

The food was fantastic. We were staying in Peterhead for one night and decided to both get a fish supper for the night. The lady serving us struggled a little with our accent and we struggled a little with hers so it took us a little bit time to get what we wanted ordered but the conversation was polite and not at all frustrating. The fish itself was fantastic and one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Fully recommend this little chip shop.
