Osteria a Priori is a cozy restaurant and bar located in the heart of Perugia. The establishment offers a wide selection of wines and has a lovely summer terrace for guests to enjoy.
We had the chicken and veal pate, which was very flavorful, and with the fig and cheese combination it was amazing. The cheese was very intense and you could see the great quality from how it crumbled. Second courses were the pork with truffles and the lamb rolle, very tender and well done. The rustic jam tart and the brownie were the best way to end the meal. Everything was very delicious. Very important: make reservations in advance. The place is always full.

My husband and I dined here last night and it was exceptional. We have visited more than 20 cities in Italy and this is the best pasta we’ve ever had - the strangozzi caserecci al tartufo nero. Our waitress, Rebecca, was so lovely and even provided recommendations for other local restaurants. We can’t wait to return to Perugia and dine here again.
Vanessa B — Google review
What a fantastic dinner full of amazing Italian flavors! I highly recommend the cappellacci and agnolotti — they were absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and so fresh. But the most wonderful part of the evening was our lovely waiter Alberto, who truly made our night. He was incredibly kind, warm, and made us feel so welcome. We're deeply grateful for his care and attention — thank you, Alberto! Sending you our warmest greetings! Aleksandra and Daria
Aleksandra Z — Google review
Tasty pasta, delicious rose wine, very pleasant service. The dessert- ricotta pie, was not to our taste, a little too dry. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Andreea V — Google review
Osteria a Priori is a true gem in the heart of Perugia! 🍷 The menu isn’t large, but every dish is thoughtfully selected and full of authentic Umbrian flavor. The main courses feature around five types of meat, all perfectly prepared, and the appetizers are simply outstanding. The atmosphere is charming and cozy, located within historic wine cellars that also house a lovely wine shop offering excellent local wines. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the service is impeccable. Prices are very fair, especially considering the quality and experience. I was absolutely delighted and can warmly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience genuine Umbrian cuisine!
Marie — Google review
One of my most favourite places to eat in Perugia. I went there multiple times with various different friends who were visiting while I spent 3 weeks in Perugia. They all loved it too. The amazing food, incredibly friendly service and delicious rosé wine kept me coming back. The best pasta I’ve ever eaten is made there and I wouldn’t hesitate to return when I visit again. I highly recommend this place to eat at, again and again. Book in advance as understandably, it’s super popular.
Michelle B — Google review
The food is simple. They generally don't have traditional, authentic dishes, but Beatrice's service was impeccable the wine very good at decent price, and overall it was a pleasant dinner

Osteria a Priori is a beloved restaurant in the historic heart of Perugia, known for celebrating Umbrian cuisine and local produce. Housed in a medieval building on Via dei Priori, it offers a warm, rustic setting with shelves of regional wines, olive oils, and cheeses. The menu highlights seasonal ingredients from small local farms—think handmade pasta with truffles, lentil stews, and traditional meats like wild boar.

Enoteca L'Alchimista is a renowned restaurant and wine bar located in Montefalco's main Piazza del Comune. The establishment offers a casual atmosphere and highlights local ingredients and Montefalco wines in its dishes, including seasonal mushrooms, truffles, cured meats, and homemade pastas. The upmarket restaurant is designed like a wine cellar with rows of burgundy-colored bottles lining the walls.
Before our trip I spent considerable time reading reviews and recommendations for restaurants along the way. Enoteca L'Alchimista was "the" restaurant in Montefalco, and I completely agree. Some of the best food we had on our trip. Great helpful staff with wine recommendations too! Try the Sagrantino, don't be afraid! It's excellent!
Jim E — Google review
Six stars. Perfect food and service in the perfect setting! A lot of care, thought, and dedication has gone into a delicious and beautifully presented menu featuring locally produced ingredients and wine. Fantastic and relaxed service, ask for help with the wine selection as they can explain all the local wines on offer to match your food. Definitely book in advance and site outside if it’s summer.
Phelan P — Google review
Excellent restaurant, highly recommended! The food is top-notch, everything was incredibly delicious. The wines they recommended paired perfectly with the dishes. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. They had no problem adjusting the dishes to be gluten-free. They even have homemade gluten-free pasta – I had it with white truffles, as I visited during the season, and it was some of the best pasta I’ve ever had, because it was homemade and fresh.
Tamara P — Google review
Authentic- Delicious- Attentive service. When the mother runs the kitchen you get the best taste and experience. Every time I think Montefalco my minds goes to the delicious menu and vine selection of Alchemists magnetic force. We can’t wait to be back and enjoy dolce vita su la piazza.
Ocean G — Google review
Walked in for dinner, as the first ones to arrived, we secured a table for 2 hours. The waitresses are attentive and friendly. The head chef gently greeted us with a smile. The food here is purely sensational. They look beautiful and they taste just like how they look like. I had a special dish utilising the local wild herb which was picked by the chef earlier. What a treat! Feeling This was definitely the highlight of my trip in Umbria. Despite not much vegetarian options on the menu, they are very accommodating to vegetarians by replacing the dish without compromising the flavours.
CY W — Google review
Simply amazing food at this family run restaurant in a beautiful setting in Montefalco main square. Best to make a reservation.
Tim P — Google review
Amazing Food for a very affordable price! Also the sommelier matched my taste/wishes perfectly with an amazing wine! Will def come back next year!
Lenn B — Google review
We had lunch at this restaurant in Montefalco yesterday with my mum and my partner. We had a reservation for 2 PM and sat outside. The experience was truly positive: the staff was extremely kind and attentive, and the dishes were well-prepared and beautifully presented, with top-quality ingredients, many of which were locally sourced. We really appreciated the clarity of flavors, with no excessive salt, as so often happens, and the pairings were interesting and thoughtfully balanced. From the starter to dessert, we enjoyed every course — and I personally felt no heaviness afterwards, which is rare for me as I’m quite sensitive. The wine list is extensive and well-curated, with a nice selection from the region. The only downside was a noisy construction site nearby, but that was just bad luck. We were all very happy with the experience. Highly recommended!

Nestled in the charming town of Orvieto, Trattoria del Moro Aronne is a delightful spot that embodies the essence of traditional Umbrian cuisine. This rustic eatery offers hearty pastas and an impressive selection of local Orvieto wines, all served in a warm and inviting atmosphere adorned with rock star memorabilia. Run by Manca and his wife Luana, this family-owned establishment aims to create a homey dining experience for every guest.
We had two meals here at oriveto. Chanced upon it and then realized it was previously many years on michealin. Still needs to get a michelin star..though.. time to get thier star back. Wild boar pasta. , tried pegion ( eat with hands ), amazing, ing tiramisu, MUST visit in orivieto. If I had more nights would have eaten daily here..

I wish I could have taken better pictures. The food was outstanding! The best eggplant parmigiana I have ever had. The attentive and caring staff did everything to accommodate our late walk-in. I would eat here for lunch and dinner every day if we lived close by. What a fantastic meal!
Natasha C — Google review
This place was magical. They deserve to be in the Michelin Guide again for sure. Don't miss the Lasagna and if they have the asparagus pasta GET IT. One if not the best meal we have ever had!
Pete H — Google review
My husband had dinner here on our one night in Orvieto and would absolutely recommend! Cozy, intimate restaurant and delicious local cuisine. We tried the carpaccio, wild boar pasta, and pigeon. Everything was cooked wonderfully and very reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow but normal by Italian standards. The dining area is fairly small, so make a reservation or be prepared to possibly wait.
Jackie T — Google review
A small restaurant hidden in a narrow alleyway that you almost would not notice close to the Duomo in Orvieto. The chef herself served our table. It was a little hard to communicate in English, but she was very friendly and patient. My favorite was the wild boar stew with chocolate and candied fruits, but the ravioli and nidi di rodine pecorino e miele caldo were both very good, and very rich and filling. Overall a nice restaurant in the old Orvieto town.
Rong M — Google review
We dropped in here for a late lunch and were really "wowed" by the food and service. I had the fava bean carbonara and it was incredible! Good table wine. We enjoyed our meal so much we came back a second time.
Lm S — Google review
Wonderful food and very kind service—my friend and I ate here this evening & had a great time! When we ordered our appetizer, it was strange that the menu did not list the topping on the bruschetta—which I think was a type of pâte. Normally something like that would be listed on a menu—especially since bruschette traditionally have many different toppings, but it was tasty and was served alongside five or six different slices of local salami and prosciutto. The restaurant has a couple of dining rooms that are small and we sat in the front dining room. We stayed for around two hours. we were almost to the first customers to come in and by time we left the place was full. I'll be back sometime!

A Hidden Gem in Orvieto – Absolutely Phenomenal We had dinner at Trattoria del Moro Aronne in Orvieto, and it was one of the most memorable meals of our trip. Important tip: Make reservations. This is a small, cozy restaurant, and we watched them turn away multiple walk-ins throughout the evening. The Wine: Don't overlook the house red – it's excellent and the perfect complement to their dishes. And limoncello at the end of the meal was fantastic! What We Ordered: Eggplant Parmesan (appetizer) – Quite possibly the best I've ever had. Perfectly executed. Bird's Nest Vegetarian Lasagne with Pecorino and Honey – This was Creamy, subtly sweet, and so light it practically melted in my mouth. The combination of savory pecorino with a touch of honey was absolutely divine and surprisingly refreshing. Tagliatelle with Wild Boar Sauce – Pure, rich deliciousness. No tomato in this sauce – just deep, concentrated flavor that lets the wild boar shine through. Steak with Gorgonzola and Chocolate – My husband's choice, and he loved it. Who would have thought it paired so well! It was delicious! Dessert: We ordered both the tiramisu and the "chocolate cake." Get the chocolate cake. It's not actually a cake – it's a warm, molten chocolate mound surrounded by cream. Heavenly. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy, and the service was wonderful. This place delivers an exceptional dining experience without any pretension. Highly recommend!

Restaurant
Trattoria Degli Umbri is a vintage-style venue with stone walls and a vaulted ceiling, offering classic meat, pasta, and side dishes. Located in the heart of Assisi, it provides a no-frills dining experience with checked tablecloths and paper napkins. The restaurant is known for its delicious traditional Umbrian food, quick service, friendly staff, great location, and competitive prices.
Great little place in Assisi at the “top” of the hill from my hotel. About 250 straight up hill, but only 0.4 mile. Everything I expected from an authentic Italian eatery. I had the gnocchi bolognese which is my favorite everywhere I go. This version really stood out among the many I’ve tried all over!
Paul C — Google review
Located in the heart of the Piazza. They have a friendly service. Food quality is good and ingredients are fresh. Prices are reasonable. The truffle product had a very mild taste and odor of truffle but food was good overall.
Wadad L — Google review
Or first night in Assisi there were 4 of us and we sat outside. The food was okay, we had a couple pasta dishes and some lasagna. We almost got up and left but we'd ordered our food already. The witter was so rude, he cut each of us off as we were ordering. They brought a bag of bread which contained 4 tiny corners for the 4 of us, barely enough to wipe off the sauce from our plates. Food was okay.
Maureen S — Google review
The setting is nice, with a central square atmosphere, but unfortunately it was on a slope which made everything slide on the table. The food itself was less than average in terms of taste, and the prices felt quite high for what we got
Areej B — Google review
We popped in here to escape the crowds and heat and ate inside. We had the salad with chicken, the side salad, the torta al testo (bread sticks), and the potato leek soup. Everything was excellent! The soup had crumbled saffron breadcrumbs and I ate every bit! The salads had a nice mix of greens. Our waitress was fast and funny.
Haley E — Google review
Very delicious and was super quick. The nice part was that it was open on the early side. Most restaurants do not open until 7 or 7:30 pm.
Lydia C — Google review
We were recommended to this restaurant by our host and it did not disappoint. It looks touristly but turned out to be very popular with locals. Everything was delicious but the lasagna with bacon, mushroom and truffle was something uniquely flavourful to us. Their ham was also very decent. Service was actually pretty fast compared to the average. Recommended to arrive early for lunch since the place was full after 1245.
Minh N — Google review
Great lunch experience tasting the local cuisine. I believe truffle is very popular in this area and used in some of dishes. My wife ordered delicious lasagna with mushroom and truffle. Mine was veal fillets and artichoke with red wine sauce. Assorted antipasti to start and local wine to pair with. Nice and attentive staffs.

Trattoria Pallotta in Assisi offers a taste of seasonal Umbrian cuisine in a charming, rustic setting. The Balducci family ensures consistent quality with classic dishes like stringhozzi alla Pallotta, zuppa di fagiolina, piccione alla ghiotta, and coniglio alla cacciatore. The simple yet cozy dining rooms feature stone-lined walls and arched frescoed ceilings, creating a warm atmosphere especially when the open fire is lit.
We were really lucky to get a walk in table, but really glad we did. Busy restaurant where the locals eat. Service was attentive considering how busy it was. Food was fantastic! We had the beef filled and potatoes, tagliatelle al rugu rosso and apple cake with custard dessert. Fresh - tasty - cooked with care!

I don’t usually give out 5 stars so easily but this restaurant definitely deserves it. Food was delicious and made with quality ingredients. Special shoutout to their chocolate cake + vanilla ice cream: must try! The staff is friendly and we felt welcomed. I recommend their lamb chops too. Ambiance is great, both inside and at the terrace.

We absolutely loved Trattoria Pallotta in Assisi. Even though we arrived late due to a delayed flight and it was close to their closing time, they still warmly welcomed us, took our orders, and served us without any hesitation. The food and service were both amazing — truly a hidden gem worth discovering.

Excellent food, we especially loved the Stangozzi with truffle and the in maialino da latte. The service was very good even though it was a busy evening.

A local gem located in the heart of Assisi old town - friendly staff and decent price, especially considering the location. We had eggplant with cheese, capellini (a local type of pasta) with pork, and stuffed dove (piccione alla ghiotta - also a local specialty of Umbria region). All were rich in flavour, we can highly recommend this trattoria!

Victoria C — Google review
I reserved my table via WhatsApp the night before I went to the trattoria, and they instantly responded and reserved me a table. The trattoria from inside looked very nice and cozy but I chose a table outside overlooking some medieval frescos. The food was really delicious and affordable. And the menu offered some typical yet iconic dishes from the region. The staff was very friendly and helpful too. Highly recommended if you wanna try the local cuisine of the city.

Dal Mi' Cocco is a popular spot in Perugia, located near the University for Foreigners and the Etruscan Arch. It offers a set menu with multiple courses at an affordable price, including homemade pasta, gnocchi, traditional meat dishes, and salad. The restaurant is favored by local university students and has a casual atmosphere with vaulted ceilings. Authentic, local and heaps of delicious pasta, antipasta and secondi. Beautiful meat as well. The waiter was very helpful and made the experience incredibly. The wine was 10/10 and the amount of food for the tasting menu was almost too much for us to eat. Great value.

Incredible, local eatery with a fixed menu. 18 euros for a starter, 2 pasta dishes, a meat dish and dessert.

Very good experience. Fixed menu, plenty of food per 1 serve. One downside is that every dish is very salty and a bit too greasy. The service was very ok, english speaking waiter. Restaurant is pretty low key, not very big yet spacious enough. I'll totally visit again when I'm back in Perugia ❤️

disgusting. i was very excited to go to this restaurant as my friends highly recommended it, but i was extremely disappointed with my experience. everything was going well till the third course when we tried the salad and it had the taste of hand sanitizer… but whatever we brushed that off, but then as i was eating a piece of chicken i saw thick black hair baked into the chicken. i was wary of it but we thought maybe it was chicken hair so i brushed it off and just grabbed another piece, inspected it with my flashlight before eating and i found a LONG blond ish hair again baked into the chicken… i was disgusted so we told the waiter and he took it back after giving us a face. we told him we did not wanted to eat anymore but to still bring out dessert as my friends wanted cake before we left. after we finished, we went down to pay and i decided to speak to the manager about my experience and he was EXTREMELY rude and not accommodating at all. he was insistent that the hair was chicken and then when i showed him the video took of us pulling the long hair out of the chicken, he again insisted that it was chicken hair AND THEN told us that it was our hair! i was in shock, never have i been treated this way in any country or restaurant. we were made to pay full price (an absurd €19 for this disgusting food) and when i told him the salad tasted like hand sanitizer he laughed in mine and my friends face. this is not hospitality and i am extremely disappointed and disgusted at the management of that restaurant. do better and be kind! it is not that hard :)

Here, you can savor traditional pasta dishes alongside exquisite wild boar specialties, all crafted with care and authenticity. This cozy eatery captures the essence of Italian cuisine while providing a relaxed atmosphere perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal.
We came specially from Rome to this restaurant to look for the best pasta carbonara. I can officially tell you this is the best pasta carbonara I ate. We also had the beef fillet and it was just mind blowing. I can’t recommend any more on this place, it just so good I wanna live in their kitchen
Omri H — Google review
Nice place with outdoor seating available. I tried a local dish—pigeon in olive sauce. It was a small portion but very delicious and flavorful. My family also enjoyed their meals. The service was okay—don’t expect smiles or warmth. It felt strictly business, and at times, it seemed like the staff didn’t enjoy being there.
Artem T — Google review
Amazing experience to taste a little bit of history. We went there on a Friday night for dinner. I was looking forward to try the pigeon dish. We had a starter with some ham and salami cuts. That was just ok. Nothing special, but not bad. We ordered to dishes, for my wife the boar ragu, that was good and with very good depth of flavour. Myself I had the pigeon with the olive sauce. And that was a very nice experience, the sauce with rosemary and olive oil where the pigeon was cooked was amazing. The pigeon itself I can describe as a lean duck. In general good experience, taste a little bit of history of orvieto with that dish.
Thiago B — Google review
It’s always a big pleasure for my tummy every time I return to Palomba. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff are always warm and welcoming. In the summer, I especially love sitting at the outdoor tables surrounded by the beautiful flowers on the walls — it adds such a charming touch. Thank you, Palomba, for staying true to yourself and not changing over the years. Please never change!
Baiba S — Google review
When in Orvieto this is a must reserve. We visit the city 2-3 times a year and La Palomba is always on our reservation list. Great traditional food. Friendly staff and a guaranteed good quality meals. If you don’t reserve it will likely be full!

La Palomba came highly recommended by a long time friend and visitor to Orvieto and it did not disappoint. When you are standing of the apex mountain of the most amazing Italian dish you have eaten and you look up you will realise there is a higher apex where they are serving the tagaliatelle alla “Don Marcello”. You simply must try it.

Outstanding food. Best "matricciana" I've ever have in my life. Must try the house olive oil - superb. Very nice wine list. The house wine is a great deal, but you can choose between a great variety of italian wines. Great staff. A place to come back and enjoy over and over.

La Romantica Pizzeria is a great place to go for pizza. They have three different types of pizza, each with its own unique flavor. The restaurant is also very small, making it easy to get a table. It's perfect for dinner with friends or family, and the staff are always willing to help.
We really enjoyed this place! Great pizza and wine, great service, nice and fun atmosphere, and in an interesting neighborhood. The vegan pizza was excellent (and other pizzas can be veganized by declining the cheese) and I chose the option to get who,e grain dough (integrale). The house red wine was really good. Great place!

We had a great pleasure to have dinner in this place, where everyone can find more than a few dishes to their liking, where the tablecloths and cutlery shine with their whiteness and cleanliness. The food is tasty, served in an aesthetic way, the service is impeccable, the prices are decent. We recommend the place for a wonderful culinary experience, well done!!

Le Terrazze di Properzio is an old-world restaurant located on a hillside with a terrace that offers stunning views of the Umbrian countryside. Despite its rustic setting, it's conveniently close to the Basilica di San Francesco. The restaurant specializes in homemade pasta and desserts, offering local favorites such as sliced beef, rolled-up pork with herbs, slow-cooked wild boar stew, Umbrian pork with honey and bacon, and sweet and sour onions.
The excellent food was truly a delight to savor, with each bite bursting with flavor. The panoramic view of the valley provided a stunning backdrop for the entire dining experience. It was a pleasure to sit and enjoy the scenery while indulging in such culinary artistry. Every element of the meal was thoughtfully crafted to enhance the overall enjoyment. I am grateful for the opportunity to have experienced this remarkable combination.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal on two occasions, cannot say enough about the food and service. The lentil soup was the best I EVER had in my life. Vegan friendly but also a carnivores paradise. Generous portions and fair price. Highly recommend a reservation in advance.

Had much today. Service was fast friendly and efficient. We sat on patio with view. We first dined here in 2017. We often bring gusts when touring Assisi. Food is excellent and the views amazing. Reservations required. Highly recommended.

Amazing view from the terrace. If you time it right, you can watch the sunset. Really friendly and super efficient service. Best to reserve but we were lucky with a walk in for two immediately as they opened at 7.15pm. Lovely food and an excellent bottle of Orvieto Classico for a very good price. One of the most enjoyable dinners I've had in a long time.

Very rude manager - at 14:45, I very politely asked if he spoke English and then asked if it's possible to order a coffee and he said, quote, "we're not a bar, we're a restaurant and we are closed." Sign posted outside says they're open until 15:30. He could have at least shared sorry, that's not possible as we're a restaurant. It's possible you'll receive service if you're white (I'm not). I visited years ago and was warmly welcomed and had an early afternoon coffee on the terrace, unsure if the manager was having a bad day or if it's the rise in hostility towards non-white people. Either way, I'd avoid. Update: my partner was there and heard the entire conversation, the manager's reply is not true. He was very rude and smirked and me, it was 14:45 (I have a Google Maps timeline to show we arrived at 14:42) and we would have been happy to order lunch if he shared that as an option but didn't even invite us to come back later, he definitely did not thank me and definitely did not suggest ordering food or lunch, he outright said we are not a bar and we are closed. He clearly did not want my business. This is the complete opposite of other businesses in Assisi that warmly welcomed us for coffee and dessert, and several that went out of their way to hand me a business card and invite me for dinner. I don't recommend eating at Le Terrazze di Properzio.
Priya C — Google review
I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Assisi. The food is delicious, the menu offers plenty of choice. Aside from the very extensive wine list they also have a few curious beer options. The staff is very friendly, polite and speak english very well. If this wasnt reason enough, the view from the terrace is astonishing. Make sure to be here at around 20.30 to watch the sunset while enjoying good food and drinks.
Vincent G — Google review
Perfect for a date! The raviolis were very tasty. I recommend making a reservation if you want the perfect view but even if you don’t have one the whole restaurant is beautiful.
Diana A — Google review
This was a really great experience. The view is incredible and the food and wine were great. Make a reservation. Staff is competent and helpful but in a very Italian way, so (for my fellow Americans) don't expect the constant checking you might get in the US. Ask politely for what you want (seeing the wine list again, ordering another dish, etc or you'll be waiting a while.

Osteria del Mulino, located in the picturesque Bosco di San Francesco, offers a nature-infused dining experience. The restaurant is known for its delicious and great value meals, with a typical local menu to be enjoyed amidst the hills of Assisi. The venue provides a tranquil setting with lovely shady outside tables and efficient service. It's just a short distance from Assisi and offers an amazing dining experience with friendly staff.
We have been in Italy for 2 weeks so far and have been to a restaurant every day, local traditional italian and tourist focused restaurants. This is by far the best food so far! And the location is also amazing with parking nearby and beautiful walking trails.

Cantine Giorgio Lungarotti is a legendary cellar located in the blessed areas of Torgiano and Montefalco, alongside other notable winemakers in Umbria. The family behind Lungarotti has been pioneering the region's wine industry, with a focus on pushing boundaries while respecting nature and tradition. The winery offers an excellent collection of wines with great variety, showcasing their passion for winemaking.
Very nice winery that produces their wine in a good way with respect for nature and their surroundings. They have a very good collection of wines with some Great variety. We had a nice tour through the winery with a very hospitable guide in good English. Afterwards a wonderful wine tasting with some of the real good classics of this place. You can really see and feel the passion for wine making in this place. You can also stay here for lunch and the meal is very good. Altogether very much worth a visit.

I only stopped here to purchase some bottles of wine. Sadly the welcome was non-existent. I spent about 20 minutes around the shop looking at bottles of wine, without anyone offering to assist. There were two employees in the room, one behind the counter getting the orders and arranging payments and one fetching the bottles purchased by the customers. Luckily, I knew exactly what I wanted, as they showed no interest at all in discussing about their wines. Maybe they did not have the time, or it is not part of their job. Whatever the reason is, this left me with a feeling of a visit to the super market, rather than a winery. The bottles I purchased are on the expensive side and of good quality, but the overall experience was very poor.

Beautiful restaurant - very well arranged and has big windows with an excellent view towards the old town. The food is very good, we did the tasting menu with wine pairing. The major downside was the service. Empty glasses were left on the table for a while so at one point we had 6 wine glasses, 4 of which were empty, that was a consistent theme of the night. Explanation about the dishes was somewhat lacking. The amuse-bouche while tasty seemed underwhelming.

Food and groceries fresh from the farm, sulfite free wine, ancient grain options for the flat bread sandwiches, beautiful handmade wood interior. Get the jack sandwich, it is amazing. La Pizzoteca Agricola is a delightful culinary gem that promises an unforgettable experience for pizza lovers and food enthusiasts alike. Nestled in the heart of Italy, this pizzeria has become a favorite among locals and visitors, including groups like Erasmus+ participants who revel in its vibrant atmosphere. The pizzas here are nothing short of exceptional, with highlights such as the classic Margherita and the unique Sottobosco, showcasing top-notch ingredients like creamy Burrata cheese.
We went with a group of 20 Erasmus+ participants and we had a blast. Nice pizza, great surroundings, and despite the obvious chaos when you have people from 7 or 8 different countries, we ended up having a fun evening giving people a fair taste of Italy. We went to the Pizzoteca Agricola for dinner tonight (25/08) expecting a lovely meal. Only to be greeted with terrible, ungrateful and lazy teenage service and waiters. We ordered pizzas, water and wine. The pizzas arrived before any drinks, and we had to ask FIVE different waiters and waitresses for our drinks. Eventually, my mother had to go and get the drinks herself. Only to find the waitresses chatting around the corner. The food was okay but if I could give the service 0 stars I would. The chef has a strong passion for his job, evident in how he skillfully prepares the pizzas, creating a captivating spectacle. The taste of their pizzas is stunning, crafted with high-quality ingredients and an ideal amount of crust, cooked in an authentic brick oven. Renowned as the top choice among children who have sampled numerous pizzerias throughout Rome and Umbria, this cozy establishment exudes warmth with joyful Italian tunes playing in the background.
Went here TWICE during our two night visit to Assisi! Chef, waitress, atmosphere, and most importantly, FOOD was just simply amazing. The chef definitely enjoys what he does and he shares the joy of pizzas with you! He even made a special heart shaped pizza for my boyfriend and I on our second visit! 😊

The chef simply loves his job, and you can see how he prepares the Pizzas - its a show by itself. This is also how they taste - amazing! Very well made, with good ingredients and the right amount of crust, in a real Forno. Rated #1 by my kids (and they ate a lot across Rome and Umbria). Cozy place, with happy Italian music playing (and the chef singing along sometimes), and warm people. The service was great and the toilet was very clean. Place is a bit warm as there is no air conditioning. Plenty of parking on the street limited to an hour, or without limit near the basilica if you're willing to walk by foot a little bit. Excellent!!!

The place is well-maintained with friendly staff and offers indoor and outdoor seating options. Guests highly recommend this pit stop for its top-quality porchetta and excellent local food.

Just walk by and saw a bunch of kids with the sandwiches are hanging outside the shop. I decided to give it a try the simple porcetta sandwich. The pork does not have much favor in it. However the bread that absorbed the fat from the pork and toasted is crunchy and flavorful.

The location itself is both beautiful and relaxed, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy such an extraordinary meal for Lunch. Alexander S — Google review
If you’re in the lower part of Assisi and looking to visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Degli Angeli, you will be out of luck because it closes midday and reopens at 14:30. Might as well get a great sandwich at Porcellino Divino. This shop proves my point that smoked pork, porchetta in Italian, doesn’t need to be slathered with a sweet sauce that we tend to do more often than not in the US. Enjoy a panino like no other here!
Chris S — Google review
Standout sandwiches. Panini Divino (porchetta, cheese, peppers, and onions) was incredible on great crispy rustic bread. Sweet red caramelized onions and peppers great match for the porchetta. Also tried a foccacia sandwich with ham, arugula, olives, and tuna sauce - not quite as good but still delicious. A few notes: the Divino would be even better with some small acidic element to cut through the otherwise rich ingredients. Both sandwiches could have use a very small bit of salt. These are minor gripes for otherwise great sandwiches.

A must visit for anyone who appreciates good food and excellent service. I have eaten here six times in five days and can give no better recommendation than this. Booking is highly advisable as it is very popular.

Very long wait, but came quickly after we reminded them. They gave the wrong "Primi" and cola instead of cola zero. They overcooked the meat to a point where it could not be eaten and cheated us by offering a sausage dish that was well below the value we paid for the meat. When we wanted to pay they ignored us even though the restaurant was almost empty and we had to ask 3 for the bill before they brought it.

I had tagliata steak, lacking in seasoning and expected parmesan with rocket but just got rocket. Pizza was good with generous toppings. Wine was cheap and 5 euros for 500 ml perfectly pleasant

Frantoio Dei Sapori 1962 is a charming place located next to an old oil mill along the historic Flaminia road. The restaurant offers a limited but carefully curated menu that includes a variety of appetizers, pizzas, meats, and desserts. The cozy environment with wooden tones and descriptive blackboards on the walls adds to its appeal. Visitors have praised the fresh and excellent food as well as the friendly staff.
We had a good time in this restaurant. The staff were friendly and efficient. The environment was nice, the place was clean and tidy. We had antipastino, beef tagliata, rotisserie meats, pistachio semifreddo and choco-ball. They were all fresh and delicious. Their homemade amaro tasted good too. Recommended 👍🏻

(Translated by Google) Recommended by the owner of the farmhouse where we're staying, we had an exceptional experience. The restaurant doesn't serve pasta dishes; it specializes in excellent meat dishes and pizzas, which can be traditional or gourmet. We ate meat, which was delicious and perfectly cooked. The desserts also impressed us. And what can we say about the service...attentive and precise. Maria Elena made us feel right at home. Noi abbiamo mangiato carne, buonissima e cotta ottimamente. I dolci poi ci hanno impressionato. E del servizio cosa dire....attento e preciso. Maria Elena ci ha fatto sentire come a casa.

(Translated by Google) Excellent food, we had a platter of cold cuts that was a shame to eat so beautiful and arranged it was, some grilled meat, a spectacular skewer and a beautiful sliced meat, synthetic rating 9. The only flaw was the mozzarella, forget what you have to eat in Naples. (Original) Ottimo cibo, abbiamo preso un tagliere con gli affettati che era un peccato mangiarla tanto era bella e sistemata, della carne alla brace, uno spettacolare spiedone e una bella tagliata, voto sintetico 9. (Translated by Google) A truly beautiful and well-kept place. Mariaelena and Francesca are very professional and very kind. We had an excellent appetizer of wonderful cured meats, bruschetta with their amazing homemade oil, and then we had a really good tagliata with salt and rosemary. Marielena recommended a delicious red wine from her winery. They also make pizzas and paninozzi; next time we visit, we'll definitely be back to try the pizzas. One last thing, but very important to me, is that there were some people in the restaurant with a small dog sitting next to the owners. When they left, the two girls cleaned everything from the table to the chairs. This shows that, in addition to the good food and warm welcome, there's also excellent hygiene, including the very clean bathroom.

Nestled in the heart of Città della Pieve, Trattoria Pizzeria Serenella is a charming family-run eatery that has been delighting locals and visitors alike for decades. With a warm atmosphere filled with familiar faces, this restaurant offers an authentic dining experience where you can savor homemade dishes crafted from fresh local ingredients. The menu features delightful options like pici cacio e pepe and tagliatelle, both praised for their exceptional flavors.
Overall a very nice experience, the place is a traditional family beard restaurant in the middle of the town. It offers unsophisticated and home made style meals with local ingredients. They have daily dishes and the food is always freshly made. The service is friendly. Be aware that you need to book in advance and you need to check the opening times, it's a small town and they have a rigid working schedule. Their prices are a bit cheaper when ordering as take away.

Mr. Norcy is a charming eatery in Perugia that offers a delightful selection of sandwiches and paninis. The pulled porchetta sandwich with mustard and fig dressing is particularly popular, earning rave reviews for its delicious flavors and generous portions. Customers appreciate the care taken in packaging their to-go orders, ensuring that everything stays intact during transport. In addition to the mouthwatering pork sandwich, there are also vegetarian options like the paninis Ternano that come highly recommended.
We stayed 2 weeks in Perugia in March and visited the little eatery several times. It is quite cozy (small) with only 4 or 5 tables. It appears that during nicer months there is outdoor seating. The clientele are a mix of students, locals and travelers. The pulled pork sandwich, served with your choice of sauces, is very tasty - the pork is not dried out, but juicy, just like a good pulled pork sandwich should be in my estimation. We had mixed appetizer which comes in 3 sizes – we were overly enthusiastic on the first visit and order the large one – small or medium is quite satisfying for 2 people, especially if you are going to enjoy one of the sandwiches. They have a good selection of local bottled beer or you can enjoy wine by the glass. The pricing is very reasonable and the food good. Perfect combination!

Absolutely WOW!! This was a real treat to eat here. The decor of the place is awesome, very beautiful! The staff are super nice and accommodating and the food was amazing! The vegan pizzas we had were sooo good, they don't need vegan cheese - it's super tasty the way they are, and the fries we ordered were crunchy, tasty and special, a place we would definitely come back to ❤️ Pros: Creativity, Tasty, Atmospheric decor and lovely staff

Not the best place for "roman" pizza in Perugia, taste is average as the variety of choices, to note that 2 pizzas out of 7 were served dry and burnt at the borders. The staff seems always in a hurry, careless to make their customers feel welcome, so if you want to taste pizza in relax and not in a hurry then this isn't the place for you. We were unaware that the regular restaurant was not open when we went for lunch in early March but we were pleasantly surprised at a unique and inexpensive luncheon experience - a cafeteria! The portions were huge, the food was very good, and the prices were very inexpensive. Entrees, such as a large chicken cutlet, were only €5, sides and desserts were €3. Our entire lunch was only €22, less than we would pay for 2 sandwiches in the US.

We had a really good meal at Il Baldo while visiting Perugia. Tucked away on a quiet side street, the outdoor seating had a calm, relaxed vibe—cool shade, cobbled stone, and a welcome break from the bustle. We shared a sampler plate to start, followed by a flavorful truffle pasta in the Perugia style—earthy, satisfying, and well-executed. The four-cheese pizza was rich and comforting, with a crispy crust and perfectly melted blend of cheeses. Friendly service, generous portions, and a lovely setting. A solid spot for a relaxed and tasty meal in the heart of Perugia. 🍝🍕🌿 📸 I post quiet corners and cultural highlights like this one on Instagram: @postcardsandcoordinates

We were looking for an inexpensive but decent place for lunch and found this online. It's located in the suburbs of Spoleto, so it's a bit of a drive. When we found the place (on Via Carlo Marx!) we had our doubts. It's located next to a gas station, and looks like just a neighborhood cafe. This nondescript restaurant turned out to be one of our best meals during our 2 week visit to Umbria. That's saying alot since there are many excellent places to eat in this region. For my primo piatto I ordered a spaetzle pasta. Excellent! My wife had a tomato & pancetta pasta. We spilt a secondo piatto of a chicken filet with mushrooms. We also split a tiramisu, a half liter of vino, and ended with caffe. All of this for only 30 euro!!! The quality was outstanding, fresh and delicious. Moira is an excellent cook. Moreno was our server who speaks very little English but was very nice. Worth the drive from Spoleto. Grazie mille Moreno & Moira!

SO GOOD I got the TEO pizza with rucola and it was one of the BEST pizzas I’ve had in a while (and I’ve been in Italy for a while). (Translated by Google) We were there a few days ago, It was in the evening and there were two of us. We were on the outdoor terrace and in the late afternoon/evening, there was a very pleasant breeze that made us forget the suffocating heat of the day. For dinner we had a mixed fry and two pizzas, one vegetarian, and I with sausage and spicy salami. The fried food is good, and the pizza is good, which may also have wholemeal flour, and other doughs that I don't remember. The smell with the salami and sausage was very good, spicy salami let's say the local type, not artisanal with a large slice that tastes like nothing. So good and quality!!! (Translated by Google) The pizza menu is very varied, the toppings are very abundant on all of them and the dough is excellent, tasty and easily digestible. Mixed fried food, on the other hand, is not worth the price... since it is a table of six, unifying two of them in a single dish is not profitable and is not even convenient. The desserts are all very good and well presented. Some inattention in the service in bringing them together so we could eat together. Overall it is worth it even if the price range is quite high for a pizzeria.

The staff? Kind and smiling, as if you were at a friend's house (but the ones who are good at cooking!). I highly recommend the "Bufalina" pizza I'll be back soon Congratulations! Best pizzeria in town if you like a slightly thicker dough than the typical Neapolitan pizza. Also the service & drinks (especially special beers) are amazing. For ingredients: they also serve wholegrain / integrale pizza Would go here any time again! Thanks for the nice evening!!

This is a great pizza place, the food is good and service as well. I like the vibe here, it is so casual and friendly. I ad the fungi pizza and the buratta pomodoro pizza, and both are really good. This is one of the best fungi pizzas, especially since the mushroom toppings were very generous and done well! It is on my must-come-to when I am in this area. Good job

Pizza okay, but the service was really bad. No attention at all, even 30 minutes after our dinner our plates were still on the table and it was not possible to order a desert... When I wanted to pay, the owner did not understand why everything was not okay. For sure, it was totally our fault we had to wait so long and nobody wanted to serve us?!?! Cukuc is a great place for fast food with delicious food and great staff. The only downside is the difficulty in translating the menu into English.
It was very clean, had parking, and the customer service was amazing. We were thankful there was a vegetarian section on the menu! The cashier helped us determine what was in the order and helped us with our peanut allergy. The prices were very good! Can't go wrong with 4-5 euros for a sandwich. The bread of the sandwich and toppings were delicious. One thing that would make it easier would be to have an English menu! We were desperately translating ingredients and it wasn't easy.

If you're in the vicinity, this is the spot to visit. Even if it's not along your route, consider changing directions and heading here. Nestled amongst pine trees, you can indulge in a delightful lunch featuring local delicacies paired with excellent regional wine. The value for money is exceptional, as they serve generous portions of authentic cuisine at affordable prices without an elaborate menu. This family-run roadside tavern offers simple yet delectable dishes that keep coming without the need for a menu.
Lovely service staff working hard and smiling. Traditional regional food. Lots of courses, mostly delicious. At 30 euros for a lot of food, wine, water as much as you want and torta it’s great value for money. This is simple countryside rustic food in a rural setting. Just lovely. We had a wonderful time and throughly enjoyed it. If you want fancy tablecloths and a la carte skip here; if you just want good local flavours and authenticity, make sure you visit!

Highly recommend!!! A star 🌟🌟 Very busy place and it's not surprising because the piadinas here are excellent and there is always a queue. Piadina = A warmed flat bread filled with whatever you want. My favourite is Salsiccia e spinaci (la rustica). If you have a large order, it's a good idea to order in advance. They speak really good English here.

This was great. Came here twice during my stay in Umbria. Both times had the tartuffo one (sorry I didn’t return for the Lardo as I had planned). It’s funny that this is listed as fast food, and maybe it is. But the ingredients are real steak cut in front of you, real truffles, prosciutto, etc. But it’s not even about the ingredients. The final product is amazing.

Da Andrea is a charming pizzeria located in the picturesque streets of Assisi, offering a quick and delicious slice of pizza or the local favorite, torta al testo. This flatbread sandwich is filled with a variety of tasty ingredients like ham, sausage, mozzarella, and vegetables. It's an ideal option for an affordable yet satisfying lunch while exploring the area.
Lunchtime, after touring Basilica San Rufino, found Pizzeria Da Andrea's spread of pizzas, paninis, calzones, tortas etc appealing. Ordered Calzone Spinachi e Ricotta and Brocoletti, Salsiccia e Mozarella. Oven toasted before serving was warming on a chilly wintry day and generously stuffed was filling. Service was quick and friendly.

Great food for something you'd call a "Fast-Food" Place. You get to choose if you want to sit inside and get something fresh from a menu or something for takeaway. Takeaway is prepared in advance (but obviously made fresh not long before that) and reheated in a pizza oven. After ordering you get your food quite quickly and after that there are several areas to sit down outside of the restaurant. The inside atmosphere (ambiance) for seating is a bit more on the cold side though

There is not enough characters to tell you how amazing this conglomerate of restaurants are. The l wings rival South Carolina. The pulled pork was Memphis Style and the drinks were not watered down with great liquor. Pulled pork was moist and flavorful not drowning in sauce. The combinations of Burgers, pulled (pork, beef & chicken) Wild tacos and Hot Dogs are in creative forms with high quality ingredients. The potatoes are huge and cooked perfectly. The staff is attentive (we love Alexandra) and the location is wonderful. The pricing is great, the fountain and sculptures are a treasure. Perfect for couples and families. Pinseria Hamburgheria Torre Degli Sciri in Perugia's historic center is known for its authentic 'pinsa romana' and affordable home delivery service. The pizzeria offers a wide variety of pinsas, including gluten-free options, with carefully selected quality ingredients. Customers can enjoy their meal indoors or outdoors during the summer months. The friendly staff and spacious dining area create a pleasant dining experience.
A nice finding: amazing gluten free pinsa, and the price for gluten free is quite cheap. Eat here four times in a week. Definitely will come back 😍
Andreea S — Google review
According to the reviews this was the place, where I could eat the best hamburgers in Perugia, in reality the food that I ordered was almost uneatable, it tasted terrible, all but salt, the portions were small and we waited almost 50 minutes for our meal, because there were working on take-out orders. I'm really disappointed, the worst spent money during my stay here in Perugia.
Svetlana M — Google review
Being gluten intolerant limits our options for eating out and is most of the time a disappointment since most expectations are not met. This was definitely not the case here. All their food can be made gluten free and their pinsas are absolutely divine. My husband tried both and he confirmed that one could not tell which is which. The staff are also very accommodating and they tended to all our needs. On our first time there they were closing when we arrived but they were kind enough to still prepare pinsas for us to take away. We liked the place and their service so much, we ate there every day during our 3-day stay in Perugia's historical centre. If you love chocolate as much as we do, do not miss their pinsa with Nutella!

Il Grottino is a small, authentic family restaurant located next to the main piazza of Todi. Despite its size, it's a popular spot with a pleasant terrace where guests can dine. The place offers delicious and inexpensive local specialties, including sausage and vegetable paninis, accompanied by rough but tasty red wine. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, with retired firefighters providing entertainment for children.
EAT HERE Great place for sandwiches, try the torta w local Sausage w Cima di Rapa. I recommend Totta (flatbread) but sandwich bread also very good. Vegetarian also great. Kids said the hamburger was “ottomo” Try the local wine as well, excellent Grachetto from small local producer on tap. Excellent shaded spot w outdoor tables off the main square. 5 star!!

Fantastic burgers made to order (yes the burger patties are made up in front of you), cash only but very very reasonable.
Tim P — Google review
Definitely the best burgers in Todi and would stand up well against any in Italy that I’ve experienced. Be prepared to wait patiently. The medio/medium is pretty big as a heads up. You can get really nice vegetables on top of the burger. There is free white wine inside also. The hours of opening can be a little varied so plan ahead. I usually just look for the line to know if it’s open. Very nice family that runs the restaurant. CASH only! It’s worth it ;-)

This was a tasty sandwich, but be prepared for a long wait after leaving your order. I think I waited about 40 minutes for my sandwich to be made.
Jay S — Google review
For such a small place, it was a pleasant surprise. The place, next to the main piazza of Todi, has a terrace, the only part where you can seat. There's no room inside. Before opening, it was already full, which is generally a good sign. There is no service: go in, order, take your beverages from the fridge, and wait until they call your name. I guess the wait can be a little long for some but it's totally worth it. Obviously, we're not talking about fine dining but about street food, and really good one . The hamburger was perfectly cooked, and so were the roasted veggies inside. Prime cut of meat and great bread. The other two sandwiches were also really tasty, especially the sausage one.

We just loved our trip to Todi (from Perugia). We could not understand why all the restaurants were overflowing with happy family groups. We got the last little table outside Il Grottino and had the most delicious sausage and vegetable panninis ever. So cheap and with rough but tasty red wine too. We had to have chips as well. Then we saw the retired fire fighters provide a lovely little assault course for children, hosing fires and sliding down poles. We then learned that it was the festival of grandparents (like us) in Todi.

Authentic little family restaurant with local inexpensive specialities. Like a snackbar but with really good atmosphere and tasty food.

Top place with a friendly group of staff working. The food was great and a low price for the quality on offer. Would be better to offer some higher quality beers than what is on offer however (ichnusa and another commercial beer :(

(Translated by Google) I ate at this place for dinner, it's not very big but it's welcoming, it also has outside tables so if the weather permits you can sit outside. There were 2 of us for dinner and we ate a sandwich called "Lu sfonno" of mammoth dimensions, I didn't know how to bite it, it was delicious with about 300g of Chianina beef hamburger, all accompanied by an excellent double malt beer. While my friend ate a sliced Angus steak, which I must say wasn't really that much, accompanied by lots of chips and salad; he, being a teetotaler, drank water. In the end we spent about €23 each, I must say the quality/price ratio is excellent.

The food was delicious, good quality, and freshly cooked. The only downside was the wait. A little long, but everything else made up for it! Definitely worth a visit. Andare assolutamente

The staff is not friendly like in most restaurants we've been to in Umbria. My husband liked his pizza but my meatball and mortadella panini was missing the pesto (their "signature" dish they feature on the cover of their menu). The wine pour was also pretty scant.
