The 50 best cheap eats in Conwy County

We visited Alfredo’s last night. Haven’t yet been since they have been under new ownership and rebranded. We were very pleasantly surprised. We came at 7.30pm on a Friday night, it was relatively busy and we were attended to promptly. A young waiter who brought us to our table asked if we would like water for the table, I obviously said yes… However we weren’t made aware there would be a £4 charge for it, but I also could have asked, so not to worry. Our drinks order was taken quickly and as we’d already looked at the menu ahead of time we knew what we were having, so when they came back with the drinks we ordered. We went straight for mains, the Penne Genovese, garlic breads, chunky chips and a Picante Pizza. It arrived very quickly and boiling hot, we were impressed. The food was delicious and something different to what we were used to from an Italian restaurant. Their garlic bread was a little tough in the middle & the pasta sauce seemed to have some creaminess in there even though it was it wasn’t listed on the menu (with me trying to stick to a calorie deficit that’s probably just me nit picking) but it wasn’t enough to put us off our meal as it was delectable. We also had the tiramisu to share for dessert. Their drinks menu is vast and I was suprised to see they had Dirty Martinis and Picantes (spicy margaritas) as cocktails, which are made to perfection, as they are my favourite and I can never usually find them in establishments. We would recommend this restaurant for any type of occasion you have planned. The interior is lovely and the staff are very attentive and polite. Very refreshing.

Had a great meal and really enjoyed everything. Portions were really good, young staff were great as well!

Food was amazing. I ordered the steak sandwich, and immediately after the first bite, I knew it was the best sandwich I am going to ever had in my entire life. Sandwich was £12 but it definitely worth it

Visited this beautiful restaurant last Wednesday evening and loved it!! Our server, Lucas, was brilliant and very attentive, whilst not being over the top. He kept us informed about the status of our meals and was very helpful. The food was delicious and there was an excellent wine list and range of drinks. We will definitely be going back there on our next visit to Conwy...loved it!!

Fabulous food and really friendly and efficient service. Very good value too, which is something you don’t get to say much these days. We both had 3 courses with drinks and the bill was less than £65. I could not recommend highly enough. Will definitely be back.

Alfrados in Conwy is simply outstanding! We three ladies visited twice during our week’s stay and were blown away both times. The food is exceptional—every dish a triumph—and the staff are top-rate: warm, attentive, and genuinely delightful. No room for improvement whatsoever. We’ll be back next year without fail!

Tried to get in here on a Friday night in September. Said wait to be seated, asked if we’d booked and said no, the restaurant was half empty mind you! Only to be told couldn’t have a table for an hour when there were many free ones! I know sometimes restaurants are fully booked but unless all these folks were coming at same time then I find it hard to believe we couldn’t have had a table but looking at reviews of how bad the food is maybe it was a good thing! Shame as I was rather looking forward to trying it! Just left after being told an hour wait and went elsewhere! Went to another hotel restaurant on our last holiday and they just asked a table that had finished if they could leave if they didn’t mind so we could have their table and they did give up table so we could eat there, much more accommodating and how a business should be run!

Classic British food, great flavour combinations and the menu well thought out, with a nice wine selection. Fish skin wasn't crispy, which was a shame and the reason it wasn't 5*, but the rest was great. The custard tart was the real hero of the meal, and was absolutely heavenly. Service was very friendly.

Nice atmosphere. It’s cosy. Service was horrible. There were multiple service staff on site but they were not attentive or was not able action simple orders. Ordered 2 glasses of wine and it was not delivered till I asked. Ordered a bottle of still water that was not delivered as well. The worst part was the tap water bottle where the cap was mouldy. Ask for new bottle and again cap was mouldy. 3rd bottle was the same as well. Only highlight was the steak which was really well cooked. Definitely won’t be going back again.

We went here per the recommendation of our bed & breakfast nearby and were sure glad we did! This was in August 2022. Service: fast and friendly. Food: We got two courses (31.25 pounds at the early bird rate) and tried the salmon, chicken, cheese cake, and sticky toffee pudding. All of these dishes were super yummy, but the pudding might have been our favorite.

We're sure to eat at Watson's every time we visit Conwy. Their dishes are always perfectly seasoned and generally rich and full of deep flavour rather than lighter and fresh flavoured. Presentation is impeccable, definitely a wow factor when your food arrives They really know how to treat lamb and fish (as you'd hope from a restaurant in a Welsh coastal town) and desserts are to die for

Excellent service and food. Even though the menu wasn't huge everything we've tried was Excellent. Couldn't believe haddock could taste so good! Proper gourmet restaurant, would definitely recommend

Tasty, well presented and delightful food. Brilliantly located in Conwy town centre. An absolute must for anyone visiting or local. I have dined here on several occasions and am yet to be disappointed. Keep up the good work Watsons don't let that standard slip!

Worst place for chips! Only go here if you like soggy chips that are barely fried. I went back to the ladies behind the counter to ask if they could bake it longer, but it was not possible. It had something to do with the potato?! We used 10 bags of sauce and it still did not taste good… (bags of sauce are 20cents each) The vinegar on the table is too dirty to get vinegar out of it. And also on the table next to us. The toilet is dirty as well… see pictures. Please do not go here…

Went in on monday. I ordered fish chips and peas. The batter was perfect and the fish was nice and fluffy and the mushy peas were spot on. The portion size are very generous.Good value for money. The staff are friendly. And will do anything for you. The place was clean and tidy. The staff cleared the tables as soon as they could tables were wiped with the proper cleaning solution. Popped in for a quick lunch with my family on a recent holiday. The food wasn't to bad, bit pricey for the portion sizes. The bins could do with being changed inside more regularly, they seemed to be very large outside bins placed inside warm left over food started to smelly when I went to put my waste inside.

Good fish and chips, nice clean place. We dinned inside, plenty of room upstairs. Even though everthing was clean there was some pealing paint on the ceiling and the taps were not working properly in the mens toilets. Come on guys these are easy fixes.

Very nice fish and chips, the fish was fresh and crispy batter and the chips were very nice too. Quick service and plenty of seating, it is a tad pricey but still worth the cost.

Probably the worst fish and chips I've ever had. We paid £40 for 3 x fish and chips, 2 x curry sauces, 2 cans of pop and 3 x sachets of ketchup. The fish was small and dry, the batter was thin and tasteless, and a good portion of the chips were green. What a shame, I was introducing a foreign guest to traditional UK food and this was embarrassing. Avoid at all cost.

Had the smallest, driest fish I have EVER had.The chips were enemic and half of them black and unedible. Only got one star because there was no Zero. Absolutely awful, threw in the bin, thought it was unfair to leave for the seaguls.

Lovely gem of a restaurant. The food was delicious and cooked on site. This was one of the best restaurant meals we have had for a long time. Many customers seem to have come several times. I enjoyed it so much i forgot to take some photos.but here is a desert.

We were delighted when staying in a nearby Airbnb that Cai was able to squeeze us in last minute on Saturday night. What a treat! Beautiful french food, lovely atmosphere and a knowledgeable and friendly host. The option to order a carafe of wine is always greatly appreciated also. Highly recommend.

Visiting the area for a couple of days we had a great meal at Paysanne. It was very reasonable for the quality of the food and wine. The restaurant was busy and full so you definitely need to book in advance. We'd seen the menu in advance so knew there were good options for meat, fish and vegetarian eaters but there were extra fish options on the day which presumably varies depending on availability. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the owner was helpful with some particular requests our party had. As a bonus we parked right outside but there was also a car park across the road. We will definitely return when we are next in the area and recommend it as a quality place to go for a lovely meal

We had an amazing evening at Paysanne, a French restaurant run by Cai, who is an absolute delight – warm, witty, and incredibly kind. The food was excellent, and we’ll definitely be back whenever we’re in the area. Don’t miss it – you won’t regret it.

Cozy local restaurant, nice decoration and exquisite music to enjoy the provincial French cuisine. I loved the "special Cod with cheese crust". My husband ask for a Malbec bottle and it was great. Our dinner was late so we only share pear with wine as a dessert (simple, light but still delicious). The service was nice and warm. 100% recommended!

Visited The Cottage Loaf and was really impressed overall. The staff were excellent — friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. The presentation of the dishes was spot on, with a great garnish that really elevated the plate visually and in flavour. I had the steak pie, which was phenomenal in taste — rich, hearty filling with perfectly cooked meat. However, the pastry on the sides was a let-down, being incredibly tough and almost indelible, which took away slightly from an otherwise standout dish. Still, a lovely spot with a warm atmosphere and great service.

What a gorgeous pub! The decor and vive was great and the staff were so friendly. The food was amazing, I wish I could have tried more if the menu, but the portions were too generous for that. The drinks menu is extensive and varied.

We had a great experience here and would definitely come back! I ordered the lamb shoulder, which was absolutely exquisite. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, and the gravy was rich and delicious, though I would’ve loved a bit more of it (can never have too much gravy!). The only thing I wasn’t keen on was the red cabbage, it was a bit too sweet and overpowering for my taste. Otherwise, the dish was perfect. My partner had the steak and ale pie, which was packed with meat and full of flavour. The pie crust could’ve used a little more seasoning, and I wasn't too keen on the texture but overall it was a hearty and satisfying dish. The outdoor seating area is lovely, especially for dog owners, dogs are welcome outside and they even have water bowls available, which is a great touch. Just a note: dogs aren’t allowed inside. The staff were friendly, though not especially attentive. It would have been nice to have someone check in on us during the meal. Also, table service rather than ordering at the bar would make the experience feel a bit more welcoming. Despite a few small things, we had an amazing time. Great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

I ordered the braised lamb accompanied by creamy dauphinoise potatoes, tender braised carrots, peas, and green beans—and every bite was bursting with flavour. The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender, rich and perfectly seasoned, while the vegetables were fresh, vibrant, and beautifully cooked. For dessert, I opted for the apple pie with custard, and my wife Kath had the same but served with vanilla ice cream. Both were absolutely divine—homemade, warm, and comforting. A perfect ending to a flawless meal. The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming, and the service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We left feeling full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you're in Llandudno, The Cottage Loaf is a must-visit—fantastic food, great ambiance, and truly memorable dining. Big pub, front out door seating area, back of the pub also has seating area. Big inside. Dogs are not allowed inside but are in both outdoor seating areas. The outside seating at the back, isn't big and the tables are big, most people who sit here, are twos. We tried a variety of starters and nibbles, as we didn't want to a full meal. Food was edible, but lacked flavour and taste, I prefer the Abode for the nibbles and starters selection. Other food on the menu is nice and good. Can be expensive for what it is. Great place to chill, relax and enjoy the sun. Only down fall is, no table service. If you're on your own with a dog, you'd not be able to go inside to order due to no dogs (I did ask this question and it was a no). Apart from that, it's a good place to go.

Food is consistently good 8/10 times. Somewhat expensive for relatively cheap type food. Menu seems to vary from unusual meals to boring pub grub. Staff are always helpful

Busy eatery which is part of a hotel located next door in a most beautiful setting in Snowdonia National Park in north Wales. No frills or personalized service but efficient and does what it’s supposed to do, that is feed the masses. Prices are not exorbitant and quality of food is good. Would return if I’m in the area

An incredibly busy bar with a great outdoor seating area. Getting served is tricky as the bar is huge and people are standing all over the place. The local Conwy beer was excellent and the food looked good, but we gave it a miss as it’s expensive. A beer and a pint of cola cost just over £10.

Had a great time here with the tasty food and the amazing service! Loved the cheeriness of the ambience too. Each of us loved our order and they were all very hearty portions too! My heartfelt thanks to Victoria and her team mates for being ever so ready to help us put together a surprise birthday and wedding anniversary celebration for my wife. We had a great night there!

I didn't eat there but looking at other people's meals coming out, they looked good so I put 3 stars, not real knowing. The staff were great. The area is well worth a visit, it's a beautiful place. I think this is the only pub around. Paid Parking available across the road.

Stopped here on an October half term lunch call. I was not disappointed . The ouside seating had heaters so was warm enough. The food was amazing. I would highly recommend.

Lovely meal after a strenuous walk to Llyn Elsi. Excellent portion size and good quality ingredients we thought. Reasonably priced as it’s a tourist hot spot! Only little niggle was the veggie curry could really do with some spicing up as it was more like a casserole albeit a tasty one!

This restaurant was recommended by our B&B. It has an indoor eating area and outdoor patio. It was busy and we didn’t know that we had to order food at the bar. My husband’s pizza was good. I was disappointed with my Asian noodles. It had too much teriyaki sauce. There really was no service. A staff just served our food.

Great dining environment and friendly services. Food was excellent and reasonably priced, we loved their seafood mussels and seafood pasta. Their beef dripping chips were amazing, crispy outside and fluffy inside!

Visited tempted by the selection of vegetarian options which sounded a bit different than elsewhere. Unfortunately they were a bit underwhelming. The Poke Bowl was a big rip-off costing almost £18; was expecting a big portion with lots of tasty toppings, and in reality it was a very small heap of rice with toppings many of which lacked in flavour, only real source of protein was a handful of edamame beans… The rarebit pizza was nice enough but seemed to be made from a parbaked crust with very wet pizza sauce. Overall had higher expectations considering the price tag.

It was very quiet when we went for a sharing brunch. Due to being early and in Nov. However service was great and food lovely. The location is superb with lovely views of the sea and in a wonderful building. Only gave three stars for atmosphere as we the only ones there so of course that impacts it.

We popped in looking for some food and even though we weren’t hotel guests, they had no trouble accommodating us. The service was quick. My partner ordered a hamburger - it wasn’t exquisite, but it was OK. I had the Thai curry, which was delicious, though quite spicy. Overall I’d recommend this place as the food overall was good and reasonably priced. They also have a separate dog friendly area which is great.

We ate at the Conwy location and absolutely loved it! The mixed salad and mackerel starter were perfect. My husband had the hake, and I had the seafood stew — honestly, the best I’ve ever had. The bread that came with it was just as delicious. We loved it so much, we came back for lunch twice and dinner once. A must-visit!

We had a meal in the dog friendly lower bar. Great atmosphere. Food was absolutely spot on. Really delicious and hot. We had a delicious Korean meat starter followed by a risotto and bacon chop. Good portion size. A good selection of dishes on the menu. We hadn’t booked but quickly got a table.

Beautiful pub in Conwy. We had the roast beef brisket! Absolutely top notch!! Best roast beef dinner we've had out!! We've travelled extensively over the UK and this made the No 1 roast dinner for us!! We also had starters of halloumi and pork bites. Both were amazing flavour combos too!! Staff were pleasant and we would definitely return!!

10/10 service. So good I am sat in the pub writing this immediately after our meal! We came in just after food service ended after a 30 minute journey from the middle of nowhere to find some dinner. Staff let us order even after service was meant to end and food was with us in under 10 minutes and was delicious. Cannot recommend enough- the young woman in pink and young man behind the bar in blue were incredibly helpful.

The food was very nice traditional British food but turned into fine dining, very good drinks options from ale to sprits. A barista style coffee machine for good end to the meal.

I actually ate at the restaurant downstairs. Fantastic. Genuinely, really good food. I had a roast and it was really good. Only fault I'd say is that there wasn't a choice of rare/medium rare/well done on the beef. However, it was still very nice nonetheless. Although, I do prefer my beef much more pink. Will gladly return when in the area again!

Our group of eight had a lovely meal here on a Sunday evening. Very efficient and friendly service, a good menu including local produce and vegetarian options. Local cask beer and a nice wine list. Reasonably priced too

Really enjoyed our dinner & the server at the bar was very attentive. The garlic ciabatta was fantastic. The flavor on the steak & ale pie was very good but the crust was a little tough in parts. The dark & stormy was the best I've had in a long time.

Beer is £6.40 a pint which i guess is expected in Betws but it felt a little steep. Classic pub food, not too special and felt a little expensive for what it was. I had the chicken and ham hock pie at £15.95. Someone also ordered a dirty burger at £16.50 which was just underwhelming for how it was described on the menu. I don't think I would eat there again. I did however really like the atmosphere, the fire was burning and it was full of happy people enjoying their evening, playing pool or darts, and the outdoor beer garden with heat lamps is lovely too. So maybe I would splash out on a pint to enjoy that again. They also don't have any local beers which is a shame. But I had a nice evening none the less, the price just felt a little steep for me personally.

We had dinner here yesterday and really enjoyed our food. Our very picky eater son said the pork belly was really good and he ate more than what he normally ate. My steak was perfectly cooked. My daughter and husband loved their lamb and chicken pie too. The desserts were delicious too. Highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding and maybe extra custard for the apple pie. Lucky we reversed as it got really busy later. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly.

We stayed there last minute after what I deemed a scary drive in the rain up a mountain. Fantastic people! Great location. As someone living in Canada this was great, clean, across from The Cauldron. Keep driving up the road after to see the best views.

After a very busy day we were looking for a nice place to get some food. We checked this little place out and what a find a diamond in the rough!! From start to finish the staff were amazing very welcoming we also had a dog which was made very welcome they even have little treats at the bar! We ordered food and shortly after it was on the table well presented I had the mixed grill the steak was so good not one ounce of fat just beautifully cooked. I followed up with the cookie dough I’d say it’s one of the best desserts I’ve had the portion sizes are really good!! So if you want a nice chilled place with good people good food and good music then this place is a must.

We had a Sunday roast in the Pont Y Pair Inn, the food and service were excellent and our dog had her own meal too. We were so impressed we went back for our evening meal a couple of days later. Highly recommended.

Stopped here for some breakfast and a coffee. They had a vegan option on the menu that was delicious. The coffee was also fantastic and they had plant based milk option. We noticed that they had some lovely looking pastry’s and some of these were vegan. We had the cinnamon scroll and pain au chocolat. We highly recommend this spot for a good coffee and some nice food. It’s also dog friendly and they were happy to accommodate our two dogs. The dogs were even offered some dog friendly sausages.

Best bit of bacon my wife’s ever had! We were staying in Conwy for a week and found ourselves here for breakfast on multiple occasions. Food- I had the full English and it was terrific, perfect portions, fresh ingredients, nothing greasy and very filling. Great way to start the day! My wife had an “incredibly high quality smoothy” and it is clear they use really fresh produce and take the product seriously. They are super dog friendly! The only negatives- It can be hard to get a seat and when you are in it can feel cramped, this is clearly because of how great the place is and so many people want in on it!

In conwy for 2days & visited both days. Afternoon visit for cake & pistachio latte. Again for breakfast the next day, we arrived just after opening on the Sunday & were the first customers & had a nice table in the window. We had the special breakfast (warm cinnamon bun, granola, yogurt & honey) Breakfast bap , latte & ginger beer tea. The breakfast was presented lovely. I loved all the small touches with the flowers. The warm cinnamon bun was amazing I would drive from manchester just to eat that cinnamon bun again. Staff friendly & polite. Very quick service. Only one suggestion would be to put the prices on the specials boards so you don't have to ask. This place really is a little gem in conwy, just the presentation of the drinks & food is fabulous. I can't wait to return again. Don't let it put you off either if you don't have a dog with it being a dog friendly cafe as on both visits I only saw a few dogs & was no issuse. Thanks for making our weekend so lovely.

Stopped in Conwy en route to Liverpool from Nefyn. As per reviews service and food was great - better than we expected and happy with the price. It was busy with people coming and going but we managed to squeeze in the front window with a dog, 1yo, 4yo and two adults and we really enjoyed it and would go back. Note that Toilets are located two doors down in the castle hotel. Location is ideal with Parking on the street, plenty of shops and the bay one end. Friendly Quick Accommodating

This wasn't our 1st choice for breakfast, but if we'd known how good it was... it absolutely would've been. Staff were welcoming and attentive and the breakfast was superb... easily the best we'd had all week. If we find ourselves in this neck of the woods again, another visit is a no-brainer. Highly recommended!!!

We were exploring around Conwy Castle when we stumbled upon the cutest little spot—L’s Coffee and Bookshop—and we’re so glad we did! Nestled just off the street, the cozy, welcoming vibe pulled us in right away. Think warm wood, comfy corners, and the smell of fresh coffee and books—basically, heaven. But what made it even better? They serve matcha tea! I’d been craving it since I landed in Wales, and after five days of searching, L’s came to the rescue. We were lucky to grab a window seat, perfect for people-watching as we sipped and munched. I had the Bacon, Halloumi & Sweet Chili Bagel (a combo I didn’t know I needed!) with my long-awaited matcha. My partner went all in with a juicy burger, plus L’s Granola and Yoghurt Bowl topped with mixed berries, paired with coffee. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just what we needed after a morning of sightseeing. The staff were lovely and made us feel right at home, and the location couldn’t be more perfect—just a short stroll from the castle. If you’re in Conwy and looking for a charming cafe with great food, friendly vibes, and yes, matcha—this is the place!

Ordered food and drinks via qr code at the table. Place busy, was surprised how quick food and drinks came. Probably about 10-15 minutes. My chickpea curry was delicious. My hubby had steak pie which he said was a 7 out of 10. Hardly any pastry and it was so thin and set like concrete to the dish. Gravy was watery and could do with being thicker. Dog friendly.

Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish! We stopped in for a quick bite and were blown away by the quality of both the food and the service. The standout was definitely the pork dish—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The seasoning was perfectly balanced, and the portion size was just right. Every bite was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and it was clear a lot of care went into preparing it. We also enjoyed every meal we ordered, Each of us ordered different items, pictures included of the Sunday special Welsh pork meal. Each dish was beautifully presented and full of fresh, bold flavors. The sides complemented the main courses perfectly and were easily the best we had during our two week vacation to the UK. On top of that, the service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and efficient without being overbearing. We were seated promptly, our orders were taken right away, and everything came out quickly and hot. We were in and out faster than expected but never felt rushed. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a memorable meal with top-notch service. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice restaurant which excels in their main courses. Very friendly staff and well dressed environment (blue dining hall). Had high expectations of the cheese platter, but it was a bit of a disappointment: a lot of unnecessary stuff, and 4 little pieces of cheese with no explanation whatsoever. The main courses however, are great in quality!

This restaurant was highly recommended by our B&B and we lucked out that we were able to get a table without a reservation. The restaurant closes at 8 pm. We enjoyed our dinners and our server was nice & attentive.

We had the perfect meal at this place, I had the Fillet of Seabass and every single bite was heaven - delicious fish, the potato puree was divine, cauliflower, broccoli perfectly cooked and the pine nuts on top 👌 My partner had the lamb and it was delicious too. I also have to say, what a lovely woman that served us! I will definitely be back next time I'm in Betws-y-coed.

The food is fantastic. We have been here a couple of times and enjoyed it every time. We had the Roast Rump of Welsh Mountain Lamb, Stir Fried Fillet Steak strips, Grill Room Mixed Grill, and the Welsh Ribeye Steak. The meat is mouth-watering. They provide lots of vegetables thats tasty and fresh. Their A la Carte menu is also available on a Sunday. We recommend to anyone who enjoys meat, especially lamb and beef. If you are very hungry though and need a good protein boost or just love lots of meat, then the mixed grill is a must as all of it was delicious.

We were recommended to check out this place after a long day in Snowdonia. Unfortunately it didn’t deliver. The cottage pie came with blanched veggies and tasteless mash. The pie was the saddest I ever had in UK! The Caesar salad with salmon looked & tasted as if it was thrown together by a home cook. The grilled fish had no crisp skin but pale unpleasant looking skin. The welsh burger was ok.. yes the chef really need to work on those chips. Maybe we didn’t have the usual chef that evening. Service wise was much to be desired too. No different from other reviews. Nonetheless for the premium price we paid, this was below average.

Food was beautiful great restaurant, happy to be seated in a chair not a high table which there are allot of, I’ve rated service as a 3⭐️ due to 10% service charge added to your bill without being informed, I would have like to have the option and tipped in cash to the waiters as they was extremely assertive and welcoming.

Nikki Ip's Restaurant Cafe & Wine Bar One of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to. Mind me, It’s not fancy, but the food is so delicious. The place is not overwhelming, but it’s a must visit. I ordered the sweet and sour pork and it was so delicious. Pork is so tasty and tender. The veggies and pineapple pieces were perfect. I loved it. My wife’s loved her meal as well. I just can’t say enough about this restaurant. The restaurant is an authentic Chinese restaurant . Our experience and visit in Deganwy, North Wales was made more enjoyable because of dining at Nikki’s. I highly recommend.

The wife and I had a reasonable Anniversary meal here. We arrived at 6pm on a Thursday with no reservation. They were able to accommodate plus which was great. Service was fantastic, the staff are very attentive, saying that the place was empty when we arrived. Ribs for starters were amazing. Mains: beef curry and Thai sweet chilli chicken. Flavours were great in the chicken dish, curry was a little bland but ok. We enjoyed ourselves but we wouldn't return due to the prices and the mains being underwhelming. Ribs starters £11, mains £20 (ish).

First time in North wales, this is so good! i believe if you are HongKonger you definitely love it, we have two dish one is Singapore style fried rice noodles and the other is Yung chow fried rice I can tell it is exactly same things what i used to have in HongKong or better than lol it’s so amazing, I highly recommend “Ip”! 👍🏼

Visiting Deganwy again and popped in for lunch deal. Seafood pancake starter was packed with Prawns and bursting with flavour. Had fish main which was like a stir-fry with lots of veg inside. Absolutely fantastic. Can't praise this place enough and can't wait to come back! Was looked after by Dillon this time, lovely person, great service, thank you. Just been in as fancied something light for lunch. The aromas definitely entice you in from far!! Explained to the gentleman (sorry I did not take your name) I was torn between 2 dishes (sides) and asked about the portion sizes. I'm so pleased I just had 1 side! Went for the Singapore Noodles with Prawns, Pork and Mixed Veg. Couldn't eat them quick enough when I got back but the whole portion was equivalent to a main so had to tear myself away from eating it all! Very well done and thank you. I will definitely be back 😀 So good I went back to get the same for dinner!

We recently stopped by Jalsa on our vacation in Llandando. The restaurant is located in picturesque town of Conwy next to a beautiful castle. We ordered a Mixed Grill, Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Balti, Keema Naan and plain rice. The curry's were OK not spicy and a bit on the bland side. The grill was again OK not outstanding, with only the single piece of boneless chicken tasting great. The boiled rice was not fresh and clearly microwaved. However, the star of the show was the Keema Naan. Service was excellent and fast, alas, the food did not match up to the service or the location.

Delicious food, a choice of different dishes to choose from, cooked to perfection! Good portion sizes, best pickle tray too! Very friendly, attentive staff, tastefully decorated, reasonably priced. Our first visit, will definitely return! (Remember to bring your own alcohol)

1 Star – Absolutely Disappointing Experience I don’t normally write reviews, but this place honestly deserves a warning to others. From the moment we walked in, the staff made it clear we weren’t welcome. No smile, no greeting just cold, dismissive attitudes. We were treated like an inconvenience rather than customers. The rudeness was unreal. Asking a simple question felt like we were bothering them. Hospitality? Zero. It’s honestly shocking how a restaurant in such a beautiful tourist spot can get away with treating people like this. To make things worse, they don’t even sell naan or chapati and when we asked, they just pushed us to order a full main course instead. No flexibility, no care. Felt more like a power trip than customer service. There are plenty of other places in Conwy with better food and MUCH better service. Don’t waste your time or money here.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. You will get some authentic Indian style cuisine here. Chicken biryani, seekh kebab, paneer shashlik, and especially Bombay aloo were mind blowing. The chef and the staff was really kind and also customised the spiciness according to our requirements. Location is great. You can get ur own drinks too. And finally the dishes are reasonably priced. This restaurant deserves a 5 star definitely.

We’ve been regulars at Jalsa and have always enjoyed the food, but this visit was extremely disappointing. The gentleman serving us was extremely rude and argumentative, making us feel very unwelcome. He responded to basic questions in a dismissive, undermining tone, which ruined the whole atmosphere. I’ve worked in hospitality myself, so I fully understand that the customer isn’t always right — however when reading through the reviews it’s clear this isn’t a one off experience and it’s time Jalsa took it seriously. It’s a real shame, because the food has always been great. But based on the service, we won’t be returning unless changes are made.

We had a really pleasant family dinner during our vacation here. Excellent meals with a great variety of choice for vegetarian/vegan/fish (compliments to the cook), and kind people.

The food here is overall decent 3/5. We came here as it was one of the few Halal options in the area. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by the main member of staff. The gentleman handling the tables and taking orders was noticeably rude to us… I could only describe it as internal racism as we share the same ethnicity. It was very obvious he treated the locals a certain way and us, (myself and two young kids) a totally different way. He didn’t once ask if everything was ok, or how we were getting on, and when I asked for a bottled water he gave me what was under the counter, warm. To others it was a glass and ice. So whilst the food was decent it should be matched with good service, and that part definitely needs improvement. I’m not sure I’d come back.

Booked a table for 10 celebrating a friends birthday lastnight. Food was amazing! 2 smalls plates (steak and prawns) with a bowl of olives was the perfect size portion for me. Excellent service, will definitely be back :)

Outstanding. We went for the "Mini Hog Roast" sharing platter. Tasty and plentiful. High quality ingredients treated very well indeed. A most enjoyable meal enhanced by the most charming front of house staff and a chance to chat with the chef. We want to go back to try the Small Plates. HIGHLY recommended.

Cosy but elegant, excellent service, exquisite food, great value. I'm not sure what more you could ask for, and all of these ingredients combined made for a terrific dining experience for our group. A special mention for the vegan options. We had some vegans in our group and they were very well catered for.

Great place to eat something different from normal British food. The duck and the prawn was amazing and so were the garlic and rosemary potatoes and peas and corn on the cob. Will love to go back again

Unfortunately we didn’t have the best dining experience at this restaurant and I’ll try and give fair reasons why. The menu read like a fine dining restaurant, but the attention to detail didn’t seem to be there. We were greeted by a polite waitress who seated us. It then seemed a while until we were offered drinks. We finally ordered drinks but we had been sat for 35 minutes until we received our first drinks. We then ordered our food. Upon asking the waitress about how best to order the food and whether we could order small plates as starters and large plates as mains, she was unsure and had to ask another member of staff. From how the menu was written this seemed like a pretty ordinary way to order but we wanted to make sure. We ordered a small plate each and a large plate each. The menu stated that large plates came with 2 sides but this wasn’t offered any additional sides. We ordered one side each but I got the feeling that the waitress was unaware that large plates were supposed to come with 2 sides, as we heard another waiter offer this to a nearby table. We both ordered scallops as a starter and asked if one could have lardons removed to make it pescatarian, to which the waitress said this was fine. She even read our order back to make sure she had it right. We waited another 25 minutes until we received our starters, making it an hour before we had any food in front of us. When the scallops arrived both dishes had lardons removed. When I made the waiter aware he seemed a bit flustered and was going to go back to the kitchen (without the dish) to see what went wrong. At this point we just wanted to eat and didn’t want to wait ages for it to be rectified, so we just let it be and said it’s ok. The scallops were lacklustre. They didn’t have much of a sear on them and overall seemed undercooked (one on my partners plate was verging on inedible). The peas were clearly of the freezer aisle variety. We then received our mains after what seemed like another longish wait afterwards. The pig cheeks were ok if not a little dry. The first thing we noticed about the prawns was that they were scorching hot, too hot to eat straight away, which meant they were a bit over cooked. They tasted a bit earthy which makes me think they weren’t deveined and the garlic was quite over powering. The menu described them coming with toasted focaccia but we received what resembled more like cheap garlic bread. We also ordered leek croquettes. These were ok, but a little bit heavy on the mustard. One concern as a food worker myself is that the menu didn’t state that they contained mustard which is a main group allergen. I know the menu states at the top to make aware of allergens as the kitchen can’t guarantee no nuts but I feel such a mustard heavy course should probably make some mention. The drinks were ok, the negroni actually particularly nice which was a good saving factor (even though when I ordered, the waiter asked if I wanted a small or a large which I have never been asked before. I then witnessed the confusion between the other waitresses/bar staff when he put the order in). The general feel was that the restaurant was either understaffed or that some of the waiting staff weren’t really trained as well as they could have been, which I believe comes from the top down and is no fault of the waiting staff themselves. They were really polite but there just seemed to be a bit of an air of confusion and didn’t give a feel of a well oiled machine. We decided not to have any desserts as it was getting a little late. 3 stars for service wasn’t for anything the staff did wrong. As mentioned I believe it is due to the restaurant manager/owner or whoever is responsible for training not being thorough enough. The food seemed to lack care/passion/attention to detail. Overall it wasn’t the experience we expected when we found the restaurant online.

The service is amazing! The staff is extremely friendly, and the vibe, live music, and beachside view are unparalleled. However, I wish there were more menu options beyond the few classic British dishes they offer—such as fish and chips, Sunday roasts, and burgers. Although they do have a brunch menu, it is not available in the evening.

This is a lovely place to eat, recently refurbished, with an outside seating area on two levels, looking towards the sea and promanade. I didn't see any wheelchair access. The food is delicious. I went with a group of 5 friends and family If you visit Llandudno, we all said that we would recommend it. We would certainly call in next time we are in Llandudno.

My family had a great time here. The staff is friendly, the environment is awesome, and the food is delicious. My hubby ordered a beer and I grabbed a Margarita. We have had a chill time to enjoy the drinks in such a nice setting. My 5-year old girl enjoyed her kids meal very much, too!

Had breakfast here while staying at the Esplanade Hotel last week. Brilliant service and great staff. Wonderful breakfast that set us up for the day, worth a visit.

Lovely little place for us locals of Craig y don. Hubby had nachos and I had veggie curry, both delicious! Only recommendation would be to add mini nan and side of mango to curry for perfection. Nachos had all desired accompaniments. The change to San Miguel beer also perfect! So refreshing!👍😊

I had a great experience at Someplace else! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. I want to give a special shoutout to Charmaine—she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Her warm personality and professionalism really stood out. We’ll definitely be coming back, thanks to the excellent service from Charmaine and the team!

Was up for the weekend visiting family and staying in Llandudno - which meant we had to drop on to Someplace Else for evening drinks! Since last dropping in, there has been some investment changes taking the vibe to the next level whilst still maintaining the friendly atmosphere. Michael and his team run the place faultless and would recommend to all and will definitely be dropping in again when next in the area

Whilst waiting to ask for a menu after having waited a while the staff behind the bar could easily be heard grumbling about a customer, when they saw me they gave me the menu’s. I felt this was a little unprofessional discussing customers. Food was ordered but was incomplete so had to go back to the kitchen, I finished my meal before the other meal came back. Both staff at one point went and sat outside, one of whom who waited on was having a cigarette (food hygiene issue)with their backs to the bar whilst there were customers waiting to pay, one of these customers went outside to ask to pay. Mushrooms looked boiled or out of a tin. Overall experience was not the best, customer service and food hygiene needs to improve and maybe take on more staff.

I have been here a number of times with my wife as a lunch break during walks. Also to the Spanish Nights, and with my daughter and 2 grandchildren, and always been welcomed with lovely food and service. However last Thursday we all went my Wife, daughter and 2 young grandchildren, 1 in a pram. The cafe was very quiet only 2 elderly ladies in the room. As we walked in the waitress who we have never seen before made a point of saying excuse me in an agitated manner, as she walked past the pram, she clearly had an issue with the pram, then as we sat down the 2 ladies made an issue of the lack of space insinuating that there was no space (they were actually sat on a table with 4 seats), My daughter was very upset so we walked out and then had a very enjoyable meal in the Artisan Bakery. We will not be going back which is a pity because we have always been welcomed here and had some lovely food.

A little gem in the heart of Graig Y Don. The staff are amazing. Great food, and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the Llandudno area.

While out on a walk I came across this wonderful secret. I popped upstairs to be greeted by a fantastic staff, and to have one of the best smoke salmon sandwiches I have ever tasted. The people were friendly, the ambiance of the restaurant, exactly what was required. I look forward to my next visit so that I can have lunch here again.

I was staying in the Premier Inn next door. Pub is a bit tatty but staff are polite. The food though was unbelievably poor. The burger was burnt but just about cooked in the middle and the calamari was so over cooked and extremely greasy.

Second time visiting here and it didn't disappoint. Awesome service, even on a busy Sunday night. We sat outside as we had dogs with us. I had the meaty pizza which came with chicken, ham (thick ham not cheap skinny pieces), pepperoni, red peppers and spring onions (also comes with jalapeños but i asked could they omit them as I don't like them). Pizza was awesome as always. Tasted amazing. All made fresh. Will definitely try again when I'm back in Lladudno.

For someone with allergies I had the best service & one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The owner gave me a list of what I couldn’t have considering my allergies and even cleaned the oven out before doing my pizza, some great service I have never gotten elsewhere. That aside, the pizza tasted perfect, not too spicy, not too overwhelmingly cheesy or anything and packed with flavour.

The pizza was delicious, I had the ham and pineapple. Due to allergies I had the vegan cheese alternative. Husband had the meat pizza . I would recommend that the website is updated as the prices have changed and it also says no extra charge for the cheese alternative but I was charged £1.50 for the vegan cheese.

I phoned to book a table on Thursday 21/8/25 at 5:30pm. The person on the phone said we had a table in the front window. She was very helpful and discussed our needs after I explained my wife is sensitive to sunlight and gave us a table in the back room. We arrived at approximately 5:15pm and we were shown to our table. We ordered drinks and food. The drinks came and we waited for our food. Whilst waiting we notice the two guys who were preparing the pizzas and toppings etc. whilst they were going about their business, one of them picked some of the food off a pizza and tasted it, which meant he took food and put it in his mouth and continued to prepare other food without even attempting to wash his hands. As we watched he touched his face, nose and scratched the back of his neck 4 times, all without any washing of his hands before carrying on touching the dough and toppings as he prepared customers food. At this point we decided to leave so we attracted the attention of the front of house team and told them we wanted to pay for our drinks and leave, even though we had not finished them. We told them the full reason why we were leaving and one of them said she would be having a word with the person in question. We stressed to them that it was not their fault we were leaving but we were utterly disgusted with what we had witnessed. We can’t comment on the food as we did not eat any. It was the most flagrant disregard of health and safety and food hygiene we have ever witnessed.

This visit took place on a Tuesday afternoon in Feb25. The shop is located on the main shopping area, Mostyn St, in Llandudno and is easy to find by its canopy adjacent to the bus stop. It has two sides to the premises. One is a take out with seating outside and the other is a café style restaurant, with toilet. It is accessible via wheelchair and enough room to manoeuvre. I ordered chips, which are available by the bowl ! Service is quick and efficient and the order was cooked fresh. The chips were made from good quality, tasty potatoes, cooked in clean and hot oil. This made them come out golden brown yet still fluffy inside. They were delicious. No other food was bought as this was a mid afternoon snack. Drinks are also available, good variety of both alcoholic and non. The restaurant was clean, well kept and decorated with amazing enlarged photos of the local area of bygone times.

Lovely little chippy, restaurant next to the takeaway. Loads of gluten free options, even including condiments and desserts. Service was quick and friendly. Love the old pictures of Llandudno on the walls. Definitely recommend.

Great variety of food options for vegans and if you are gluten Free too. Staff friendly and quick service. Food tasted amazing I had fish less fingers and chips and they were so yummy. My finace had fish and chips and he said they were really good. A bonus was we were allowed to bring our dog in with us witch was a bonus, luckily she is well behaved dog so not a problem. All in all if you are near the area I highly recommend. 10 out of 10 from us, we will definitely come back more and more.

Probably the best fish and chips I had in Conwy or Llandudno during my visit! Big pieces of fish and relatively speedy service, especially given how busy it was and that there was only one server on staff. The haddock and chips were a good price for what you got too.

Food (scampi and cod roe) pretty average. Probably the cod and chips would be loads better. Also made me wait 20 minutes even after checking twice as others had their orders served. Didn't give me my curry sauce even though I paid for and asked for it.

Pretty tasty! Cab driver said this was the best fish & chips in Conwy, and I don’t doubt it. Massive portion too — couldn’t finish the chips! Super-cool rustic atmosphere decorated with a lot of planks and wooden pallets. Oh and it was really nice to have an extensive list of allergens on the back of the menu.

We went there two days in row, first we take away burgers for us and nuggets and chips for kids. It was great, soo tasty that we returned next day to sit in and we ordered same, slightly more expensive then take out but atmosphere and service was worth it. Highly recommended and we sure we visit next time when in area.

This is a nice shop and they do a gluten free fish which was great for one of our party. The fish I had was unfortunately quite overcooked or possibly had been sat to keep warm for a while. The chips were good standard fish shop chips and the peas and curry sauce were nice. The staff were helpful and friendly and we managed to get there just before it started to get really busy so didn't have to queue.

Called in for fish and chips after setting up our caravan on a local site. After having car trouble on the way we were ready for our tea. We were not disappointed, we both had fish and chips and thoroughly enjoyed them. The service was quick and friendly.

Came here on holiday on a Friday night as everywhere was fully booked and we went in the Albion pub opposite and they didn’t do cobs but said we could go to this chippy and bring some food in if the restaurant up the street was no longer serving or full which it was! Was a bit of a long wait on a Friday night as was quite busy in September. The fish was alright but a bit greasy and the batter not so good and the burgers me and my dad had was like a cheap burger van burger so wouldn’t bother with that again. Not sure if I’d bother again.

Can't fault it one bit the young lad that served us was very polite and very helpful so top marks to him 👍 didn't have to wait long for food and all 5 of us were extremely happy portions are HUGE !. Not worth the price! We stopped off here as it was the top rated chip shop in the area, I’ve no clue why people have rated it so highly. We waited over 30 minutes for fish and chips, and also sausage and chips. My main concern being the price they are charging for the portion of food. I have seen bigger children’s meals than what we were served. My sausage and chips was £11 and the fish and chips was around £15. Extortionate prices. Cost us £32 including two drinks. The only good thing was that the food was hot and tasted really good. Complained to staff about wait times and portion size but did not receive a discount, just a few more chips. Don’t believe every good review you see

This was definitely among the best fish and chips I’ve had. I was visiting Conwy on holiday and came across Enochs by chance, it turned out to be an amazing find. The spicy fish was especially tasty, with a flavourful batter and really fresh fish. The whole team was lovely, and the lady who served us was so warm and welcoming. The place had a great vibe, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting Conwy.

Finger licking good food. Fishing is simply delicious! I tried to get a picture of food but as you can see the family had to be stopped as they were ready to tuck in. Nothing was left on any of the plates.

What a wonderful fish and chip shop in Llandudno Junction. I took my friend for lunch. She particularly likes plaice in batter which is not always easy to find, as it’s often only offered pre-prepared in breadcrumbs. I checked with Enoch’s the previous evening and they promised to keep a piece of plaice for her to be prepared as she likes it - they obviously use fresh fish and prepare it to order. My friend was delighted - as you can see the portion was massive, the batter light and crispy, and the chips well cooked, firm on the outside, fluffy inside - perfect! Being greedy I asked for a second “bucket of chips” and that came free of charge as promised on the menu. The serving staff were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. All in all a great experience for both of us. Thank you.

The menu is miscellaneous, many types of fish & chips, burgers. I rate this place 10/10. Spicy fish strips and prime hake fillet are spot on 🤌🏽. Next time I'll give it a try for the plaice fillet 🤠. Good service and the staff is very friendly. Dine in or takeaway and one parking space in the front up to 90 min 👍🏽

Absolutely love this chippy. It's only a short walk away and I come often as the prices are quite reasonable. The food quality has never been bad and id always tasty. The atmosphere is also really nice and service is quick, though it can sometimes be slow during peak hours, but it's worth it. Stopped in for lunch whilst on holiday as a family of 6. Really fast and friendly service. Great selection of food, and the staff were also very accommodating. We ordered cod and chips, cod special, chicken burger and chips, sausage and chips, 2 deserts and drinks. In total we paid £80 which is a good price. The fish was cooked perfectly - no bones and wasn't oily at all.

Very friendly and help, to grab a mid afternoon fish and chips for my son. A small portion of fish and chips for £7.95, freshly cooked. My son enjoyed it but the chips could have been a bit more crispy. Would visit again though.

Fabulous fish & chips to eat in or take away. We ate outside sitting at one of their tables. So many locals use this restaurant it speaks to the popularity and quality of the food. This means there is a wait for service. Why don't they canvass new arrivals to the counter as to which fish are required. This would speed up service. Delicious supper eaten outside on a sunny evening. I recommend this place.

Nice traditional fish and chips, we had a mini cod and chips and a standard haddock and chips with mushy peas and traditional fruity curry sauce which really made the meal, best curry sauce I've had in north wales fruity with a slight spicy kick, also very good mushy peas, fish and chips nicely cooked. Well worth a visit.

Very delicious food, best, fish and chips.

Visited yesterday early evening and the floor was full of food and embedded in the carpet. Dirty pots piled high on most tables. We sat down and one of the staff members came over and asked if she could take our order. We said we are not ordering anything until these tables we are sat at are cleaned and all the previous customers pots are removed. She gave us the dirtiest look and walked off. She then walked past several times more and another customer on the next tables said ‘they won’t clear the table they will just leave it there in front of you. So after another ten minutes of waiting we decided to leave. I did ask two staff members if this was normal and acceptable including the women who gave us the dirty look for simply asking for the tables to be cleaned before we ordered. They just looked at us and said sorry…. Sorry and that was it nothing else. This place is disgusting and the staff clearly have not had correct training in customer service and basic hygiene. They also looked like they couldn’t be bothered and didn’t want to be working there.

Lovely bright dining area. Good choice of food including gluten free. Tables not cleaned after clearing. Person bringing cups just plonks them down and leaves. She should at least set them out. We paid over £30.00 and had to ask for ketchup and table to be cleaned. Wasn't very busy. Men's Toilets smelly and we had to pass them to get to ladies. At checkout manager asked if everything was ok , that's a bit late to ask. Need to do a check back early on and quit chatting at the till.

Such a fantastic restaurant, with fabulous food and brilliant service. Our server Lliwen was great and was the epitome of excellent customer service. Prices are reasonable and the battered cod was up there with the best I’ve ever had. The beer was also well kept, which made for a fantastic meal. We had a regular and small fish and chips and both portions were pretty big. The tartare sauce was also excellent.

The place got recommended for dinner so we decided to get a takeaway. My friend got the SFC strips and chips which looked and tasted lovely! I got the chicken breast and chips, the chicken was so dry I couldn't cut into it with a knife and fork or even break off the wing. It’s like it had been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. The gravy was delicious and the chips were good. Service was nice and helpful too, just a shame about the chicken!

My Wife and I were staying at a Campsite nearby and thought we would try this place for Fish and Chips. We were so glad we did. It was really busy, which is the sign of a good chippy and the service was extremely efficient and quick considering how busy it was. We had Haddock and Chips, which was superb and perfectly cooked. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the Llanwrst area.

We booked a table for 10 after our climb up Snowdonia and it was all we could’ve asked for! Food was so tasty- between us we had fish & chips (+ curry sauce/mushy peas), pizzas, burgers and dessert.. there was not one complaint, it was exactly what we needed! The service was great, staff were lovely and attentive and it was a quirky place! Very happy, will definitely visit again on our next trip!

I’ve got to say the heart attack burger was the juiciest nicest burger I’ve ever had 10/10 highly recommended this place ! The best experience was the owner so polite very nice to talk to . 3 of us was eating there I only wanted a heart attack burger on its own because I was low on funds tbh ! And the owner brought me chips with it also a 12 once garlic bread on the house which was amazing and also gave us ice cream and cookie dough on the house ! I will 100% return with my family 🤤😃

The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. Both the burger and the pizza were unforgettable. The fries and potato wedges were served piping hot, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside — absolutely irresistible! The owner and staff were all very nice, and they even treated us to soft-serve ice cream at the end! We will definitely visit again.

We visited Dinos while looking for somewhere that served halal food, and it was a great find. It was quite busy when we arrived, but we still managed to get a table fairly quickly. The location is spot-on — right across from our hotel and close to the promenade, so very convenient. Service could have been a little quicker, but the food more than made up for it. My burger was excellent — the meat was large, perfectly cooked all the way through, yet still juicy. Flavours were fresh and very tasty. The only let-down was the drinks selection. For non-alcoholic options, it was quite basic, and I would have liked to see a wider variety of mocktails. Overall, we were really happy with the food and would happily return. Just a few tweaks, especially on service speed and drinks options, could make it a perfect 5 stars.

Saw this place had good reviews so thought we'd try it out. It did not disappoint! I had the 'Angus burger' which was big, had a great taste and really juicy with lots of melted cheese. My wife had the chicken burger which was good but nothing special. Nice coating though. The staff were all very pleasant and polite (although a lot of them were very very young) and I can see why this place has good reviews, especially for the prices.

Delicious food and absolutely massive portions! Our waitresses were incredibly helpful and friendly. We had a wrap, a burger and a pizza, with chips/wedges sides, and had to get a doggy bag to go!

Love this place! Massive burgers further down the menu, I've yet to be able to finish one in a single sitting but the owner was ready with takeaway boxes when he saw us wave the white flag.. milkshakes are top notch as well, definitely on the pricy side at £6.50, but worth it for the flavour. This is my post hiking food spot now when I head over to Wales, can highly recommend!

Love this place I’ve been several times and not disappointed. Home made steak and ale pie is well worth the price. I forgot to order gravy or peas on my last visit.

First time been here and it was so great! The cod fish is soft and juicy, the outside was crispy and very thin. The taste is just fine and not salty. The homemade curry sauce is delicious and not spicy, suitable for kids as well. It should be one of the best fish and chip I tried and highly recommend👍🏻

Was working on a job round the corner when one of the lads suggested a chippy for dinner, didn’t go in with high expectations but my god was I surprised, best haddock I’ve had in my life second to none and the chips, mushy peas and curry sauce were all spot on as well! I wasn’t waiting for ages either despite there being other customers and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming! Brought me right back to my childhood that chippy did and I will definitely be back again if I’m in or around the area!

Was ok but not as good as Mission Burrito IMO. If you want to improve take a look how they do things. Good burrito etc but bit over kill on the price and a little too much choice and ott. I eat Mission Burrito most weeks and came here when on holiday in Wales. Will pop back sometime and see how things are going. Service was fine just not up to the same level as my local burrito shop. Cold glasses was a nice touch and plenty of food in the burrito 🌯 🙂

The food is great! The only thing that I didn't like about this place was the prices. They are one of the only places in the UK to serve Tex Mex but their prices are very high for a takeout place.

If you love Burritos this is the place to go. The portions are big and the food is exceptional. The food is so tasty that I have been there twice in one week. The service is fantastic and you're made to feel really welcome every time you go there. You guessed it, I will be going there loads more times in the future. A must stop for anyone that likes Mexican food.

We drove 40 minutes to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Mexican Wave did not disappoint. Coming from a Texas girl the food was on point. Also highly recommend trying the super spicy sauce 🔥🔥🔥😋

My partner and I order from here regularly, the food is brilliant in every way, a little on the pricey side but very much worth it in regards to taste and portion size. Our favourite things to order are the chimichangas, burritos and churros! The staff are lovely and friendly especially the lady that’s served us the most. Highly recommended!

Have been coming here since it opened a fair few years ago. Lovely food, great menu. Shame prices have gone up so much and I don't think the loyalty card scheme is used anymore. Still that's just a sign of the times. Other than that, it's nice to not have to drive to Chester for Mexican food.

I recently visited this place and I have to say, I was blown away! The food was absolutely amazing and exceeded my expectations. The chicken kebab was cooked to perfection and was incredibly juicy and flavorful. The bread was fresh and warm, and the toppings were fresh and plentiful. The staff were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, making my experience all the more enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious, fresh and authentic food. Great kebabs, fries and burgers. Their doner meat is the best I've ever tried, and the pricing is very good for the quality of food you get. Service is usually pretty fast—I got a full pizza in about ~8 minutes. My favourite kebab place hands down

Came today ordered a mixed kebab for £13. Thought it was a bit pricey for what it was. Was on a pitta a fresh naan would have taken it up a notch. The chicken was the best of the meats and would recommend it. Staff seemed friendly enough. Free parking bays near the outside of the shop 👍

Beware non-British customers of this takeaway. After taking our orders, we patiently wait in the waiting area. I noticed that other customers that behind us, which are all British/white were being served immediately. We waited about half an hour for two kebabs and a 10 inch Hawaiian pizza. They didn't even get the pizza right, putting mushrooms on a Hawaiian pizza? The staff behind the counter even laughing talking about us. NEVER AGAIN TO GO BACK IN THIS TAKEAWAY!!!

I ordered 6 chicken strips and was really disappointed – the chicken was chewy and not enjoyable at all. The chips also tasted like they had been reheated instead of fresh. Overall, I was very disappointed with the quality of the food and expected much better.

Called in as I was staying in a hotel nearby. The guys working were run off their feet. Just 2 on the shop floor and 1 guy behind the scenes. Disappointed My wife and I sat outside in the sunshine, The staff were nice, and friendly However, The Butchers Ham sandwich turned out to be more salad than ham (1 very,very, thin slice, similar to wafer thin ham from a well known supermarket) the salad accompaniment on my wifes sandwich did not appear to be washed, The cutlery was placed on the bear table (not hygienic), However on a good note, the coffee was very nice. Out of courtesy I did leave a good tip. But will not be coming back anytime soon.

Lovely place to dine, owner was very friendly. I had the vegetarian breakfast and it was delicious, a very good portion size... very reasonable price. My only suggestion would be is to add the ingredients of the sausage on the menu as the sausage I got with my breakfast was made from potato and veg ... I just thought I'd be getting an alternative meat, I still enjoyed it though. Regardless I would highly recommend this cafe and would definitely go back.

After a great hike up, siabod, and on our way back to conwy, we decided to give Contessa a try. We had tea, coffee, 2 cold drinks and 2 Large breakfasts... they went down a treat. Nice and simple food menu with a great selection of hot drinks.

Firstly the staff are great and friendly and welcoming and patient when I was trying to find meals on their menu. We are not locals and went here as we were visiting family near by and compared to our local for roughly the same Meal it was over £10 more. We could have eaten out in a restaurant for what our meal cost here. 😮 Portions are on the small side too and although the food is nice the expense and portion size leave a bitter taste. Also cash only which is very inconvenient in today’s society where almost everything is card and mobile wallet.

Been going to this Chinese for years and years with my mum living in the area for years and it has always been the best. HOWEVER this is now the worst place, the food tastes nothing like it used to, the curry sauce tastes completely different, chips are rubbish, the varied dishes we normally get are nothing like they used to be. Unfortunately won’t be going again now, which is a shame..no idea why you’d change the recipe across the menu when it was so lovely

Overall our food was delicious, piping hot, freshly cooked to order. Chips are tasty and delicious, Battered Cod is freshly cooked and a good size for the price. Special fried rice was generous and tasty, not overly oily. Spanish omelette was delicious but a little confused as it comes with peas!! Other than that, nice good quality food at not bad prices. Your tastes vary, so this is just my opinion.

Phoned from plas farm at 10pm. Guy seemed pissed of and got shirty on phone taking the order. It's advertised on plas farm leaflet so didn't see the problem. Never got to the point of eating as was too rude for food.

Love Jackie's. The food is always piping hot, so you know it's freshly cooked. The chips are crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle, not rock hard as if they've been sat there since 1976! Their garlic pizza with cheese is a garlicky, gooey with a crunchy crust mouthful of heaven. Jo on the phone is so friendly and helpful. She always makes sure we're getting value for money and who even gave me a helpful tip about gargling pineapple juice to cure a sore throat!

The lady that answers when you phone through an order is absolutely lovely.. I don't know her name, but she's always really lovely to talk to.. She definitely deserves recognition 😊😊

Brilliant place for pizza, kebabs or burgers plus much more on the menu. The staff are all fantastic and really friendly. The chicken donner is really tasty. This is the best takeaway in Conwy County by far. I regularly pick up a takeaway on my way home from work. Great prices and great food what else could you ask for. Would I recommend Bay Grill 2.........yes I would and I do to family and friends.

When visiting the area I was looking for a halal place to eat, with very few options. I decided to order with Bay Grill II and they didn't disappoint. The food was of good quality and delicious. The staff were friendly too. If I find myself in the area again, I know where to come.

Was able to order by phone and went through to collect. We had steak and kidney pie, chips and gravy. Food was hot, fresh and very tasty, really enjoyed the homemade chips. Very reasonably priced too.

The guy that runs this place is in the finals for a competition to have the title of the best fryer (or whatever it's called!) in the UK. He works for his grandma who had opened it for like 30 years. Really neat story, cool guy, and great fish and chip. I was watching him make it and you can tell he really takes the quality of it seriously. It's nice to see someone take ownership of what they're doing and care about doing it well. The price was great too so I'll add an extra 🌟

Very slow service, waits until it’s your turn in the queue before asking if you want fish. Why not ask when you enter shop, like others do. When fish is finally cooked it’s put straight into box without leaving a minute to drain off excess oil. Having said that the fish & chips were OK, nothing special though. Don’t understand how it wins awards.

Food wasn't really great. We also asked for salt and vinegar on both fish and chips orders and when we got home we realised that they did not put any on. Simple instruction when they heard and responded to but didn't fulfill. It was hard to see whether they put any on as the view was restricted due to its having to wait outside.

Not sure what an earth has happened to this place but it was very disorganised, not much of the favourites on offer for fillings. Basically messy and dull, needed a clean. Ordered for the kids tea but won't be going again. Normally the portions have been good but hardly anything on one sub. 2 tiny streaks of bacon, a slice of mozzarella and few cuts of lettuce. When I questioned it, the lad was not helpful or polite, just continued to make the sandwich. I would have walked if it wasn't for the kids looking forward to their subway treat. No longer feeling the vibe as a long standing customer. Won't be coming back. Subway your people are letting you down. A very sad meal.

Place is a joke! Most of the staff are okay but managers pull them off service to sweep floors, prepare food they don’t need and get internet orders ready. They just don’t give a damn about the customer in the shop. Service is slow almost all the time. Went in once and there was a lovely cheerful lady on the counter and got served straight away, but it’s rare. They also mix up orders so I hope you don’t have allergies!!!!

The shop was in serious need of a good clean clearly not been done in some time. The service was so slow, common sense is something they all clearly lacked in. Complete lack of management within the shop was clear to see. The lad operating the till applied discount then didn’t know how to proceed with the transaction so removed it. I didn’t bother to question as it was 10% off and I’d already wasted enough of my time in there. I recommend Llandudno subway if you’re not bothered with general hygiene or have time to kill.

Me and my friend ordered food at around 11:30 the food got delayed by 30 minutes, then 40 and then it arrived at 1:25 Which is an unbelievable wait. While looking at the couriers location he hadn’t left the place and when he finally did his location showed up as op top of the orme (miles away from where we are) and then in the orme mines. We can see on the receipt that the food was picked up by the courier at 12:49. The food is stone cold and soggy, when I try to leave a complaint it won’t even let me type out what the problem was. How on earth do you manage that?

The food we ordered came and the subs were so wrong for example 1 had 3 sauces and olives? There other one was just chicken and bread even tho it meant to have alot of veg sauces and chesse got nothing and when requested for a refund only got a £1 back....

I ordered lunch for me and my partner from ‘Uber eat’ and when it comes, in the bag it has my partner food but they missed my sub so we phone them up but they won’t answer the call. My partner have a refund on Uber eat in 10 days but I still need my sub so we have to walk miles to get to SUBWAY….. When we there I have talked to the manager and he make the sub and give cookies for free.

Tried ken's Kitchen recently. Ordered chicken and mushroom soup, chop suey and salt and pepper chicken fried rice. The food was very good. Flavours were light, everything well cooked and well packed. Ken tweaked the food to our preferences as requested and was overall a very stand-up guy. The food quantity was good and was well packed. Definitely the best compared to the Chinese takeaways nearby.

This is the third time ive called for a takeaway to pick up and ive been told it will be 1hr 20mins, this is not acceptable no matter how good you are, called another chinese, yes ready in 30 mins, must do better Ken.,..,.,.

Ken’s is by far the best Chinese around here, the ribs are absolutely amazing. Can’t fault any of it, food always piping hot and superb!

Had this a few years ago probably the worst in the area People were nice though.

Been going here quite a few times over the years and it's always been good. The food was hot and tasty and quickly prepared. I loved the Hot n Sour soup, it's really good.

Normally if we treat ourselves to a takeaway we get it from Golden City (just down the hill from Fu House) but last time around we decided to try Fu House for a change. We popped into the takeaway and ordered over the counter and weren't kept waiting too long. I had a special fried rice which wasn't as flavoursome as the ones I've had from Golden City, it was a bit more like boiled rice with meat mixed in. Strangely their prawn crackers are pre-made and come in a sealed bag a bit like the ones you'd buy in a supermarket, albeit they're slightly better quality than supermarket ones. However they lack the crunch and prawn flavour that freshly made crackers have. On the plus side the chips were some of the best I've had for ages. If they could make fried rice to the same standard of their chips I wouldn't hesitate in going back.

Food was absolutely amazing, fantastic presented fantastically! They had a 30% off offer if you dine in Monday-Thursday which was a lovely surprise. If you visit Conwy, you must go here.

I had a take out on a Sunday, I used the app just eat, Fu House came up as an option, I ordered expecting a nice meal. When it arrived I was disappointed with the meals, I had received. The meals were dry, no sauce that usually comes with said meals. The extra portion of chips were like oven chips and very dry/tasteless.

Always serves high quality Chinese food, and always with quick service. Great place to eat in or takeaway and well worth the little bit extra than the others in the area.

Awful Chinese, on a weekday evening took about an hour an a half to come, cold. Salt and pepper chips nothing salt and pepper about them just normal chips soggy, chow mein cold and loads of overcooked veg in. Just gross Do not recommend

Bang average. Ordered the Honey chilli beef which was alright not the most flavoursome, and a 1/2 rice and chips with a sweet and sour sauce. Not the worst out there not the best. Definitely better options around for the price

Was definitely enticed by the large board advertising ice cream. Unfortunately, when I asked what flavours were on offer, I was told they only sell one flavour and one type of ice cream. The ice cream van parked next to the kiosk had a lot more to choose from. The 2 members of staff were nice enough, even though they didn't seem too happy to be there. A smile and a little enthusiastic energy would have made me forget I was getting big standard ice cream 😏 The only positive is that there are tables and benches outside.

Nice place and friendly staff. We ordered a small and medium breakfast, the medium was bigger than expected. Food was lovely, can't fault it. Really fast service, didn't have to wait long for food. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back.

Delicious tasting and perfectly cooked fish and chip dinner for my family and I. Had the fish, chips, scampi, fishcakes, mushy peas, curry sauce, sausages and battered sausage. Great taste on everything and it was all cooked fresh to order, making it even tastier! All very happy with our meals, thank you.

Love this chippie. We often treat ourselves on the way to the caravan we have on Anglesey. Particularly enjoy fish, chips and peas sat on a bench overlooking the sea in the car park just below the chippie. Always a friendly welcome. A bit of a pain as you have to have cash, but the food and welcome is worth that slight inconvenience.

Most of it not nice. I had chicken curry and the chicken was dry and chewy, very obviously past best. Curry sauce tasted very obviously made of curry powder. My other half had sweet and sour pork and he said it was chewy and tasteless. The fried rice however was quite nice. Quick (a bit suspiciously quick) and friendly though. Won't be back however, disappointing as our favourite Chinese is closed and looking for an alternative.

Takeaway was great and the food was really good. My daughter really enjoyed the Salt & Pepper Chicken. Chicken Fried Rice was also very good as were the chips. Well priced too and easy to order over the phone for collection, and great that they take card payments.

We work all around the country and eat out a lot. It’s really nice to know the best takeaway is in your home town

Really hate giving bad reviews 😒 But I ordered by phone pick up witch was great new into area thought I would give it a try Well sorry I did weird smell to food Thinking it was warmed from day before We ate some of it we were both really ill next day what a waste of money 33pounds

The worst chinese I've ever had in my life. We spent £137.00 and the only edible items were the chips, crispy pork and the sweet and sour chicken. The chicken szeuchan smelt and tasted awful. The crispy chilli beef was grey, soggy and all together tasteless. The chowmein both chicken and vegetable were soggy and bland. All in all more than 70% of the food was wasted

The majority of the food went in the bin!! The chicken fried rice and the curry sauce were really nice, the noodles were passable but the ribs,the duck and the salt and pepper chicken just tasted wrong, will not be returning

They don't do scraps. I got informed, nice it must be said, from the girls behind the till about the government banning that, Its part of fish and chips, government should do one trying to tell people what to do. Apart from that major gripe!!! botntheir fault the food is okay, clean, hospitable and a very nice curry sauce. Update. Went into another one I'm not saying where, in North Wales , and scraps as an eat in are allowed on the menu.

popped in here for our tea while we staying in the area had small chips n gravy battered cod and lamb donner meat n chips was very tasty the staff were very polite and the shop was clean and tidy they do a range of meals and all at a great price will definitely use again and will recommend them many thanks

Wow what a find. My wife and I were visiting the area for a few days and decided to get our dinner from here one of the nights. Fresh cooked haddock and chips as well as a tray of meat and chips. Both were the best we have had in a long time. Too top it off, I spotted battered pineapple rings which were awesome and took me right back to my childhood. The staff are really helpful and polite which combined with great food make it well worth a visit.

Best fish & chips in the whole of North Wales... wouldn't go anywhere else. Lovely friendly staff, excellent menu with lots of different choices & lovely and clean shop. Food always prepared within mins & if orders rang through its ready for when asked. Definitely a regular returning customer.

Probably the best fish and chips I have had in years. We found this place very recently and keep going back. For fish you have the option of Cod. Haddock or Plaice as well as Scampi, fish fingers and fishcakes. Other items are Holland's Pies, including Steak Pudding. Chicken nuggets, sausage, chicken, beef and veggie burgers. Peas, curry & gravy. You order as you enter and your food is made fresh as you wait. Classic chippy without all the Chinese stuff so common on menus these days. A perfect 5 !

The look the older women gave us when we said we were paying by card terrified us to our very soul . Our apartment doors have been locked as the haunted chippy lady has probably put a curse on us and we are scared she might visit us as we sleep . We wanted salt and vinegar on our chips but we were shaking at the thought of asking what if we weren't aloud to leave . What if the doors closed and we were sucked into the void . So we just paid the £2 card fee and left . Chips were decent though tbf .

Daughter bought food from here as Becky’s was shut! Ordered special fried rice received some sort of fried rice with disgusting meat! Fish over cooked batter terrible chips half cooked! As we live a few miles away couldn’t be bothered to return food! Will never visit again!

This is without doubt the best Chinese around. I was concerned however as my order usually lasts 2 days I split my meal as I normally do, but my word it was so dry! When I compared it to one of their previous boxes (I only ever use them) the container was 1cm less in height. So less volume of product. I have included picture. Will I order again as one of most expensive take aways🙄. Not sure, will be looking else where I think due to smaller portions they have introduced. Re pics - box on left new portion size compared to before Chinese New Year closure. Look forward to getting original portion size back!

It's ok, not great but ok. The chips are really greasy though but everything else is fine. It's not the best fish and chips / Chinese takeaway I've been to but it's better than nothing if you need a quick meal.

HOLY MOLY. The food at FussPot is just amazing. I got the classic steak burger and it was beautiful. Especially with the cheese sauce. And for only £7, A STEAL! And the service was great too. Friendly staff and a 5 minute wait for the food. The chips are extra with the burger but it was only a couple quid and the portion was big. The photo below just doesn't do the burger justice as it was amazing. I understand why this takeaway has all 5 stars. 100% recommend.

We had the Philly Cheesesteak special and it really was special! Homemade bread was fantastic, steak cooked perfectly and excellent value. The place to go when you want a filthy takeaway but you still want quality and great service. Owner is very friendly and obviously passionate about what he does. A real gem.

Thoroughly enjoyed the fresh food we ordered. We had the chicken burger, mac and cheese and halloumi kebab between two of us and it was fab. Halloumi kebab was amazing, the best we have had. Great prices and friendly staff, would order again when visiting Conwy.

We traveled from village to village and there was no room at the inn. Every pub and restaurant was fully booked. Then we finally stumbled upon this brightly lit little gem opposite the Adventure Parc Snowdonia and Hilton hotel. The FussPot's food is absolutely gorgeous. I had the Welsh Pork Kebab smoothed in Homemade Garlic Mayo, Triple Cooked Chips in Cheesy Sauce and for dessert, a Homemade Chocolate Brownie. The Kebab was amazing, pulled pork and fresh salad tucked inside a toasted ciabatta bread. Chips tasted awesome covered in the runny cheesy sauce and the brownie was so moist and gooey in the centre. My wife had the house special - The FussPot's Burger, she couldn't recommend it enough. I had a little bite and it was devine. The staff were so friendly and very helpful, they couldn't do enough for you. They really wanted us to enjoy our food and they went out of their way to make it so. We were so lucky that everywhere else was booked up, because we wouldn't have found this great little place to eat. This place is mainly a take away, but you can sit outside to eat on the table and chairs, if the weather permits. Parking is available right at the front. Unfortunately, no toilets. Large menu to choose from. All the food sounds fantastic. I wanted to try the lot. Haha. If I'm ever in the area again, I will 100% be going back here.

The daily menu is great but make sure you ask Lee about his specials, Lee is well travelled and this is reflected in his food. I'm local so I'm a regular here and all the different dishes I've tried so far have been superb!
