Restaurant
LA OLLA is a great restaurant in Pamplona that serves delicious food and great atmosphere. They were able to provide gluten free bread without any problem and they have plenty of options for anyone with a gluten free diet. The service was fantastic and the quality of the food was top notch. I would recommend LA OLLA to anyone visiting Pamplona!
We managed a table on the 30th December, after calling and the answer was that the restaurant was full later but available on the spot and early! When we arrived we managed to get an early table and eat a beautiful meal! We had clams, seafood soup and a grilled sea bass! The clams were big, as you can see on the picture! The sea food soup tasted like the ocean! The fish was tender and could be cut like butter! It became our New Year’s Eve dinner, with very attentive service and not expected at all during this time of the year! Thank you to both ladies that served us!

My siblings and I were very lucky to find this restarurant on a very busy Saturday, without a reservation and every other place packed. We waited a little bit to be seated and were very pleased with the service, the quality of the food and the atmosphere. We were seated in a lovely cozy corner and had the greatest time while eating delicious food and drank an amazing red wine.

We had a wonderful dinner. Went for a quick dish and the place didn’t disappoint. All the dishes we got were really good and the service was amazing. The steak is one of the best one we’ve gotten in the region. Oxtail was super tender and the squid really tasty. Would recommend and come again. Just a little pricy in our opinion but again the food was really astonishing.

A really good place to eat. The server name Sergio second to no one. Food A1. You will enjoy every dish

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant in Pamplona. The waiters were extremely friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start. The food was exceptional—delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great service and amazing cuisine

Our first night at Pamplona, decided to have dinner at La Olla! We were very impressed! At a restaurant when you get great food, great service and wonderful atmosphere with all attention from everyone works there then you’re at the right place! Food was over the top yummy and our server ( Vera ) was amazing! The manager kept on checking on us and other tables!

Restaurant
Restaurante Pichorradicas is a cozy Spanish restaurant and bar located in the historic center of Tudela. It offers market-style pintxos plates made with seasonal ingredients. The establishment is known for its constant innovation and commitment to using quality raw materials in their dishes. The restaurant's warm atmosphere and focus on traditional Spanish cuisine make it a popular choice for locals and visitors alike.
If you're picky/a gourmet this place is for you! Resume: * taste and quality : awesome * service (customer service/the waiter) : probably the best we ever had * experience/how we felt : we left on cloud nine. It was wonderful!!! Such a great experience! I'm a french gourmet (like really picky about the quality of my meals sadly). We all took different meals and shared. Everything was tasty and the quality (execution/freshness of products) was excellent. The size of the meals isn't really big (yes if you're there for the quantity this isnt for you) but the taste is perfect. And the SERVICE! We called BEFORE the opening to ask if it was possible to book a table. They said of course and we came we said we didn't have a lot of time to eat. They took us in even if we were a bit too early (for spanish meal's time) and the waiter was really nice. He was sooo enthusiastic to speak with us and make recommendations. He was really smiley and they treated us so nicely even if we came too early. Such a wonderful experience
Zaza M — Google review
Found this one of the only places open on a Monday. Staff very friendly however seems that we were taken advantage of due to our lack of Spanish. Waiter took our orders for our group of 3, starters and mains. When the food came he had ordered each of the starters for 3 people and one he changed from a starter portion to a main course portion at over 3x the price. Meaning for three people we had a total of 6 X starters plus a main meal followed by 3 X main courses. Ridiculous! Food was well presented and tasted good.

Bar
Tapas bar
Sport Taberna is a hidden gem in San Sebastian's old city, known for its wide variety of cold and hot pintxos. While it's popular during sports events, the real draw is the gourmet selection of pintxos. The bar offers an array of delicious options, from gildas with olives, pickled peppers, and anchovies to foie gras soaked in brandy and flash-fried.
Limited space but amazing food Food to order: sea urchin cream, stuffed squid, sangria, croquettes If you like seafood, you have to try the sea urchin. The stuffed squid was also amazing. The sauce is to die for. Also tried the burger and the meat was very fresh. Fries were also really nice. 4 pintxos with 2 drinks to share between us and costed around €23. Lovely service. Will recommend!
Sharon C — Google review
We discovered this place on YouTube and we could say this was probably the most crowded place among any other similar places. On our first try, we skipped and left because it was impossible to order anything due to the crowd. On another day around 5 PM, it was much easier to order something with some patience and 10minutes waiting time. We enjoyed the food but found nothing really special about this place, I think you can find similar or maybe even better food, around the area, so don’t limit yourself to this place or don’t consider this bar as a “must to come and eat” in San Sebastián, explore other places. If you have reading this far then let me tell you that I have been joking to deviate you from here to another bar so that we could enjoy some less crowd at this place to be honest this place has very tasty ones and the bread is the best, the meat is great and calamari was so tasty!! Visit this place but be mindful of people trying to order also so make some space for everyone 🤞
Mert I — Google review
Flight your way to the bar and you're guaranteed some terrific bites. The attentive, multitasking staff behind the counter hustles to bring out highlights including the mini hamburger, crab-stuffed crepe, and bacon-wrapped chorizo. Loved the it
Rob P — Google review
I love this place. Some of the best bites of the year here. Highly recommend the pictured pork sandwich, insane flavor. But the real star is the foie gras, one of the best bites of food I’ve ever had in my entire life. The vermut was also really special and the waiters are incredible. Quite cheap too for what you get, 4 dishes and a drink for around €20
Alex D — Google review
Best foie gras in town - we went back twice. The sea urchin soup was very creamy and smooth. Overall the best pintxos we’ve had but expect the over crowd and everyone yelling in your ear.
Emily K — Google review
Very good tapas - very delicious sea urchin soup, as well as baby squid stuffed with crab. The foie gras on toast had a generous portion of foie. Still my favorite pinxto bar.
Keira H — Google review
Hectic but very good experience. Sea urchin, crab and squid were sensational. Foie and croquettes also very good. Good service, have to be confident when ordering!
Michael L — Google review
Life changing experience. Foie gras was very succulent and not gamey at all. The crepe was very generously filled with crabmeat. Sea urchin cream was super luxurious and again, not too heavy on the taste buds. Go as early as you can to avoid the crowd. Do note that it's completely self service so you can manage your own expectations! We had a bit of a culture shock there 😅

Basque restaurant
La Cuchara de San Telmo is a bustling and popular spot located near a Romanesque church. The atmosphere is lively, with a busy staff shouting orders across the room. Featured in the New York Times, it's a favorite among younger food enthusiasts. The must-try dish is the carrilleras de ternera, or veal cheek, served in red wine sauce.
Superb food and very, very friendly service with a smile. Only slight complaints would be a miscommunication when ordering - we were doing a Pinxtos crawl in the area and wanted to order small portions from the menu so we could continue on our crawl but we were given large portions. The waitress didn’t ask which size from the menu we would like, but we also didn’t communicate this so its. Ot completely her fault. The other thing was that the Beef Entrecôte came out bit tough but flavour was good. Fortunately for us, despite these small issues, the food overall was really, really good so it was a hugely satisfying way to end the crawl! The wine of choice from our waitress was also nicely chilled, fresh and complimented the meal perfectly! Definitely recommend this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Jimmy — Google review
Of all the pintxos places we have been to in our 3 trips to San Sebastián over the last 6 years, this place stands out the most for us. Most of the food are prepared very well, even those that are in other bar menus. This is the place to go for your Foie gras, Pulpo, Navajas. Their pig’s ears dish is worth going back for. They ran out of cochinillo when we had a late lunch yesterday. We’ll just have to go back!
Mary-Ann O — Google review
One the best meals we had in town. The execution of all the dishes was exceptional, and every ingredient was both treated with consummate skill and elevated by additional flavours. The presentation was also gorgeous, as it's clear from the photos. Unmissable, make sure you go for the piglet and the cheeks if you can only fit two items.
Pedro S — Google review
Our last meal in San Sebastian and we decided to go with this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Pulpo Gallego - after eating so many boiled octopus, was really nice to have a change for a grilled one. It was very well seasoned and smoky! €15 for the portion we had was a steal! Suckling pig - well prepared. Crispy skin and the meat was juicy. Seasoning was spot on too. Entrecotte steak - done medium and have a good smoky taste however I think they were too heavy on the salt so we had to scrape some off. Otherwise its quite nice Risotto - 9/10. Nothing to add. Please order this. Haha...
Peter T — Google review
Go for the cheeks! Both of the cheeks and split it up between beef cheeks and cod cheeks. The octopus is very tasty. Suckling pig is good and razor clams slightly sandy. Table service is fantastic - Jessica made great wine recommendations and was super nice.

5 Stars – Delicious, Lively, and Flexible This place is small and always buzzing with energy — we came around lunchtime and waited about 20 minutes outside before getting to the bar to order. Honestly, just a few days ago I would have felt uncomfortable eating while standing on the street, ordering at a crowded bar. But in San Sebastián, it all just feels right. The food at La Cuchara de San Telmo is absolutely delicious, well-priced, and served quickly. One thing I really appreciated is the flexibility in portion sizes — you can choose smaller portions if you’re just a couple of people, or order larger ones for sharing with a group. It makes trying more dishes much easier and less wasteful. It’s also fun to see what others are eating. When something looks amazing next to you (and it often does), it’s easy to go back to the bar and order more — which we happily did! Fast, flavorful, and full of character — this was one of our most enjoyable meals in San Sebastián.
L H — Google review
Food was amazing we went twice in one trip! We went shoulder season in October (two of us) and started to line up 6:30pm for dinner service. Key detail they dont tell you - Line up outside the door if you want the inside table and want to order pincho size (and 1/2 and full portions). Sit at the tables if you want to order 1/2 and full portions, they dont serve pinchos outside. Staff were super friendly as we talked our broken Spanish English to them and they could see we tried. Would highly recco this place! Would not recco if you get sound and sensory overload!
Karhlia S — Google review
Best restaurant in San Sebastián! Our favourite of the many tried. Shared their octopus which was cooked in bacon fat and their razor clams. Despite being already full it was obviously excellent technical cooking and fresh seafood. This was more expensive than other pintxos places we went to though, about eur 33 in total however the menu was more innovative.

Café Iruña, located in the heart of Pamplona, is a charming 1888 cafe known for its ornate decor and storied history. The elegant facade gives off a Wes Anderson film vibe, making it an ideal place to enjoy a refreshing beverage while taking in the lively atmosphere.
A great experience in this atmospheric restaurant. The set menu at €24 for three courses, bread wine and water is excellent value for money. The food was tasty (especially the delicious “curds” dessert), filling and the local wine very enjoyable. The highlight was saying a quiet hello to Ernest Hemingway in the small bar at the side of the restaurant.
Sarah F — Google review
This was a great experience. Located right at the center of Plaza Castillo in Pamplona, café Iruña will attend to your cravings for traditional hearty food, with a five star service and a dazzling atmosphere. Everything was great, from the entrée to the dessert, passing by the fish, meat and salads. Price is fair, it's not so busy at lunch, but for dinner better make a reservation (or just come early, Spaniards like to have dinner after 9). A must go if you're ever by Navarres capital.
Luis C — Google review
A stunning original cafe where Hemingway was a patron. The rich interior is enchanting and the mirrored wall reflect the lights and decor of the large space. We were a large group having sangria and pinchos so the service was fast and not individualized but that was ok. The pinchos were delicious.
G M — Google review
One of the oldest coffee shops in Spain. I was looking for the perfect Spanish Con Leche, then they gave me the most understated one. A stunning original cafe where Hemingway was a patron. I can smell the history here.
Gian G — Google review
Sangria is good, but service is pretty bad. We got some food and were not able to take a table inside. The waiters insisted that the children eat from plates while standing, despite the fact that only a few tables out of 30 was occupied outside. The bread on the pintxos is very dry.
Vitaliy L — Google review
Nice surprise. This is a café to remember. I liked the well-maintained historical interior. I enjoyed coffe and rum. The staff was very nice.

Iruña is the Basque word for Pamplona. historical café associated to Hemingway s presence in Pamplona. I stopped for a coffe and dessert, the service was friendly, but it can take some time due to the high traffic

Tapas bar
Borda Berri is a vibrant pintxos bar that offers an array of intense slow-cooked dishes infused with Basque and international flavors. The menu features delectable options such as the renowned "crunchy" pig's ear, pork rib kebab, cod tripe, veal cheeks, mushroom risotto, squid ink ravioli, and tender octopus. These dishes are served on small plates with perfectly seasoned sauces, garnishes, and flavorful local olive oils.
Best pintxos in town! Besides the pork ribs, get the cod neck/cheeks and the risotto! All simple dishes but done well. Bar is quite small and very popular so eating here might be a tad chaotic. But a great experience overall 😋🔥
Zheng T — Google review
Absolutely blown away — this place was incredible. I went right at opening time, and it was already full. The menu, the quality, the service, the value — everything was perfect. I couldn’t resist going back again in the evening, and the atmosphere was even more amazing. People were happily spilling out onto the street — the place was full of life. What surprised me most was that the same staff who were serving at full speed in the morning were still working just as energetically at night. Their dedication and consistency were truly impressive. This is the kind of restaurant I’d want to visit every single time. A true gem.
MASA ( — Google review
This was my first stop in San Sebastián and it did not disappoint. The restaurant was super crowded and service is crazy hectic. But everything we ordered was incredible. The cod pil pil, entrecôte, risotto. Went back to try the kebab pork ribs as they were sold out that evening and it was delicious as well. Definitely a place to stop by. It was less crowded when we went back for lunch.
Wyelin C — Google review
Authentic pinxtos bar, with an incredible atmosphere. The dishes were delicious, would recommend the Costilla de Cerdo. Always full to the point of splling into the street - wrestle your way to the bar, order and then find a place to eat. Many people grab a dish and opt to stand and eat in the street. Quite loud and intense inside but that somewhat adds to the experience. Drinks were great, try the local cider. We had several dishes and a drink each (2 people) and that came to around €25
Ben W — Google review
🌟 Overall: 8/10 Tried: White ravioli – 8/10: Very good flavour, will recommend this dish. Veal – 7/10: Good but nothing special, feels like a nice dish but doesn’t wow me. Pig ear – 8/10: Lovely done! I can go back to eat this again.
Emily C — Google review
After a successful visit yesterday, today trying the Cod Pil Pil the fish was raw and inedible, and the beef entrecot was so blue and raw it was also inedible. Super dissapointing and I wonder if the chef changed as yesterday the pork ribs, and the veal cheek were both really nice. But any place this inconsistent and serves raw food should be avoided.
Brad H — Google review
Food was unbelievable here. Pork rib was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. It’s super busy but you’ll eventually get served - you just need to be confident. Get a few things to try & ask for recommendations. Seriously good food and atmosphere.

La Viña is a casual cafe that has been a staple in San Sebastian since 1959. It's renowned for its small plates and the famous Basque burnt cheesecake, which originated here in the 1990s and has gained international fame. The cafe is also known for its regional wines. Situated on a street lined with some of the town's best pintxo bars, La Viña stands out as a must-visit spot.
La Viña is known for its lively and energetic atmosphere, attracting many travelers. This spot is indeed a must-try, particularly for its Basque burnt cheesecake. Here, of course, we enjoyed dishes other than cheesecake. The service was friendly and inviting and the seating was comfortable. We would definitely recommend stopping by.
Achino N — Google review
Cheesecake cheesecake and more cheesecake. The most famous place for cheesecake in the region. Is it the best one? You'd have to go to the other places that some locals say are also good or better, but it's certainly a fantastic cheesecake, and the best one I had. Basque style.
Marc B — Google review
The line is crazy but you should just get it and order quickly. Honestly, I expected more from this place but it was pretty mid, extremely overpacked and loud. The basque cheesecake we came for was €6,50 for the portion which they split into two slices for better taste I guess was really good (but we expected something much more delicious for the price and hype this place has). When you take it to go they just give prepacked box with cheesecake inside, maybe this affected somehow
Nargiza A — Google review
Great cheesecake! Place is packed pretty much every night we passed by it though you can share a table with other people. Easier to get seats if you’re not a big group.
Mikaela M — Google review
The line was pretty short on a Wednesday afternoon. We ordered their famous Basque cheesecake. It was absolutely delicious. It is lighter and creamier than I've ever had and less sweet. My only regret was getting only one slice per person!
C P — Google review
Incredible. We were only going to have the cheesecake as we heard this was the top place to go. But we couldn’t resist the other dishes too. The gentleman who served us was so friendly and always smiling. We had the meatball, stuffed mussels, plate of jamón and chorizo. Everything was exceptional.
Bav M — Google review
I came a little earlier so missed the big rush, but it was still busy. Good part is I didn’t have to wait in line, only a few minutes at the counter. After trying it I get what the hype is all about. Best description I give is that it was very flavorful, creamy, and the most delectable cheesecake I’ve had. I would say it was a cheesecake with a consistency and texture of flan. Compared to the amount of business they get it’s quite small inside so seating can be difficult. Going early, helped as I was able to secure a place to sit and enjoy my cheesecake.
Roya M — Google review
La Vina lived up to expectations! Have been wanting to come here my whole life and the standards were high. Was definitely not disappointed because I came back four days straight for my whole time in San Sebastián!! The cheesecake is pretty much fresh everytime you visit because it’s best sold within 36 hours but I’m sure they sell out faster than that! You get two slices per order so you can eat in smaller portions and enjoy the taste of the cheese rather than swallowing larger portions. The outer layer is only slightly denser than the creamy middle. It melts in your mouth and is just pure perfection. Highly recommend!!

Bar
Bar Nestor is a cozy and intimate bar located in the Old City of San Sebastian. It's famous for serving only four items: chuleton or steak chops, fresh tomato salad, blistered padron peppers, and their renowned tortilla Espanola. The bar is small and getting a spot requires patience and strategy as they have limited seating.
It’s definitely worth queuing for. We queued from around 10.20am for the 11.30am tortilla window and to book for steak. We were fourth in the queue and had a table for 12.45pm. It gets quite busy! The tortilla was absolutely incredible. Easily the best I’ve ever had. We also went for the steak, tomatoes and peppers of course. Everything was so flavoursome and juicy. It’s tiny inside and very quaint. You all sit together so it’s very social. I’d highly recommend visiting, definitely worth the wait.
Bav M — Google review
There are plenty of places serving Txuleton in San Sebastián. But none is better than Bar Nestor in my opinion. The simplicity of what they do shows the confidence in the product. Get in the queue early before opening if you want the tortilla. Or if you want to eat here at all to be fair! The tiny restaurant is fully reserved well before the shutter raises to let people in. The tortilla is superb but the reason to come is the beef. You’re given the choice of two steaks. One rib, the other sirloin. They serve 2 and are around a kilo. Once ordered, it’s weighed and cooked. Whilst you wait, a simple salad of tomatoes with olive oil and salt as well as padron peppers are brought to you. And then the meat arrives. This is quite simply the best steak I have ever tasted anywhere in the world. It is sublime. An incredible depth of flavour with the perfect cuisson of caramelisation. There is a very very good wine list with some of the best Riojas and wines from ribero on there. They’re incredibly well priced. Having been here 4 times, I will always be a devotee of this absolute highlight of any food trip to San Sebastián
Adam N — Google review
More of an experience than just a meal. We got in line at 5:30 p.m., with the doors opening at 6:30 p.m. We were fortunate enough to secure a spot at a table for later that night at 9:15 p.m. We could have eaten earlier, but we'd have had to stand at the bar. We weren't early enough in the queue to secure some of the famous tortilla. While in the queue, you overhear snippets of conversation: nervous excitement, "Have we gotten here early enough?" "Will there be any tortilla left?" "Can steak really be worth queuing this much?!" When you arrive at your allocated time to worship at this temple to beef, you're first greeted by a golden light spilling onto the street, a heavenly aroma of roasting meat, and the clatter and buzz of a busy restaurant. The waiting staff are busy delivering sizzling platters of meat, juicy tomatoes, and glistening padron peppers, but you're greeted with a smile and a nod—you are one of the lucky few. There is no menu. You either say yes or no. But who would say no? The only choice you have is which of the two steaks you're offered is the one for you. The steak is a Txuleta (pronounced chuleta), the cut of beef for the region. It's a bone-in sirloin steak of epic proportions—easily enough for two. You don't wait long before the food starts arriving. First, the tomatoes with olive oil, then a plate of padron peppers, piping hot and delicious. Finally, the steak arrives, cooked fast and hot on a cast iron plate, spitting droplets of fat to forewarn of its arrival. It's presented sliced with the bone, seasoned liberally with sea salt, showing off its rare-ness for all to see. If rare steak isn't your thing, don't worry—you can spread the steak out on the iron plate, and the considerable residual heat will soon finish cooking the meat. But for us, it was perfectly cooked and delicious. In a world where expensive food can be overthought and too complex, this is food stripped back to its basic principles: the best ingredients, cooked well. Simple, but not lesser for that simplicity. As you eat, people come and go—the unfortunate ones who get turned away, the unprepared who didn't queue but get pulled in off the street by Bar Nestor's beefy gravitational pull. The whole process, from the nervous queue to the last morsel, combines to satisfy both soul and stomach. Go and worship the beef—you won’t regret it.

Definitely worth queuing! Best steak so far. And yes, the staff should explain the house rules, they’re not rude if you just walk in hoping to be seated. The only disadvantage is that they don’t have desserts 😁

Luckiest ever to get counter seats by walking in 10 mins before they opened for lunch. Fantastic food - the tomatoes and steak will be a forever memory. Service was friendly and attentive (was given a stool to kneel on because I was too short for the bar 🥺)

Our best experience in San Sebastián. We started queuing from 10.40am and were second in the queue, we booked the tortilla and steak, and then went back at 12.45am for it. The food was incredible and the whole setting was very sociable. Even the side dishes - tomato salad and padron peppers - were a highlight of our trip. A must do experience!
Janey S — Google review
Lined up at 11:10am and there was already a queue. Hatch opens 11:30am. You put your name down and order, there’s only 2 things - steak with tomatoes and padron peppers and pinxto size tortilla. We were told to come back at 12:45pm. Lively atmosphere and not too chaotic. We ordered all the food options and had 3 glasses of txocholi which came to about £75 for 2 people. Steak was rare when it came out on the sizzling plate, which we proceeded to “cook” ourselves to make it more medium!
Karhlia S — Google review
Incredible experience. The food really does justify the wait. In peak season, for the 12 o'clock serving, arrive at 11 to get your name on the list. Be prepared to queue. The tortilla only has 16 portions but it's worth it. Again for the 7pm serving, arrive at 6 and take a drink from the bar opposite (makes the wait easier) Don't miss out on the steak either! Cooked to perfection 👌 The staff couldn't be more friendly, this place really does live up to the hype

Visitors can savor prized snacks from various competitions such as the Rompeolas and SE-TE-RA pintxos, which showcase traditional flavors with avant-garde presentations.
This place was recommended by many locals. We arrived and the place was full : 1st good sign. The main dining area is downstairs. You can see the hustle and bustle, another good sign as you see plates come and go. We sat down and where greeted and attended by Felix and Chucho, who frankly made out dinning experience delightful. We had the pre fix menu of the day. Warning : that menu was huge. The amount of food was too much, we did not get to the dinner. I am not going to dive into the details but what we had was Lk delicious, but the meat was exceptionally great.

Great atmosphere and full nearly all of the time! We went here twice as it came so highly recommended. Their pintxos were quite different from other places but seemed to include some of the classic ingredients. It’s worth a try.

The bar was super-busy when we arrived but the restaurant in the back was almost empty. It did fill up later, improving the ambiance. I enjoyed my polpo and dessert, my friend found her dish too heavy in sauce. Very friendly waiter and excellent wine.

Great bar for a drink and some beautiful pintxos. Service was excellent and we loved their txistorra (Basque chorizo) and the smoked cod. Highly recommended to include in your pintxos crawl of Pamplona.

Absolutely amazing food with a friendly atmosphere and great service! All allergens are marked on the menu, including gluten, lactose, soya, etc. I mentioned that gluten was extra important for me and the waiter immediately took careful note of this and let the kitchen know. We ordered a starter and a main course each, and were advised that that was too much food. Very honest of them, and they were definitely right as the portions are generous! The food was truly amazing and we very much enjoyed our evening.

Nestled in the heart of Pamplona, El Merca'o is a vibrant culinary hotspot that beautifully marries Mediterranean fusion with a contemporary flair. This trendy venue serves as more than just a restaurant; it’s a lively gathering place where food lovers can indulge in delightful tapas while enjoying the company of friends or colleagues. The atmosphere is anything but ordinary, making it perfect for romantic dates, business meetings, celebrations, or casual get-togethers over coffee and cocktails.
El Mercao won the 2022 pintxo championship with their dish “Tubertxerri”. It looks like a truffle buried in soil, served in a wooden dish. The truffle is actually a fried Chinese bread filled with Thai-style pork shoulder. The soil is dried mushrooms and almond flour, and you dig the truffle out with the shovel.

I would rate 4 stars on food and 3 on service.  It seems that they change the menu weekly, since some last week  Instagram  post showing some dishes were not available.  One example of why I rate it 3 stars on service is that I asked for a Tuna Tataki, the waiter mention that they ran out of it and quickly continue with the next table.  He did not suggest any other option, nor give me time to ask.  A few minutes later  I called him to ask for other options as Tuna Tartare, which they had.

And as dessert tiramisu which was quite good and abtype of cak other coconut ice cream. All recommended. Together with beer and water it is 64 euors.

Sad experience. The manger refused to serve us a plate of olives saying only available at the bar and not in the restaurant. Crazy. Not cheap.
Kendallas — Google review
Really dreadful experience due to the very rude staff. There was some booking mixup due to their system which wasn't an issue as they weren't full but before we'd even been sat or welcomed pleasantly we were berated for 10mins by the maitre d due to his booking system :( The service went downhill from there with no menu help, a plain bread roll served with no oil and when we asked about wine were told they had "rioja". I may not be a connoisseur but pretty sure there's more than 1! Mr Rude was supposed to bring a taster but of course that didn't happen and he was too much of a coward to even check how our meal was going. As you may tell an overall dreadful dining experience where we were made to feel very unwelcome - avoid if you're not a local.

Classic old school restaurant. Good service and quality food. We had the daily menu of 22 euros. Fresh salad, a very tasty fish soup, cod done with garlic, breaded veal cutlet washed down with the decent house red. Restaurante Kabo is a contemporary dining space in Pamplona, Navarra that offers a gastronomic experience rooted in ancestral heritage and traditional flavors. The restaurant prides itself on using the best ingredients to create dishes that are both creative and avant-garde. With a commitment to humility and passion, the team at Kabo aims to awaken diners' senses with beautifully presented dishes made from seasonal Navarran vegetables.
We had a wonderful dining experience at this Michelin restaurant. The tasting menu included many courses, each beautifully presented and explained in detail by the staff. What impressed me most was the wide wine selection, including non-alcoholic options – a thoughtful touch, as I don’t drink alcohol, and the non-alcoholic wine paired perfectly with the dishes. The highlight of the lunch was their signature dessert Kabo with a butterfly – stunning and delicious. Every dish was prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, which made the experience even more special. The service was excellent: our waiter spoke English fluently and made us feel very welcome. A little tip – it’s best to reserve a table in advance. Highly recommended!
Nadia R — Google review
I would like to mention the service has been excellent and the waitress and chefs explained us all plates really well. In terms of food; until the desserts it was really good just one plate was not good for us. The desserts were a bit disappointing as they tasted too sweet and simple, all of them. The restaurant has a basic decoration and glasses and cutleries are clean and being changed every time. The overall price 211€ 2 people, from my view and the context of the restaurant plus location is a bit expensive. 90€ the menu. Less plates and less expensive will have a better quality vs value. One good point is that most of the plates are local ones. I hope desserts will be improved!

Nice presentation of every dish and the service was excellent. The restaurant has a warm and classy interior and I liked that many of the dishes were vegetarian. The price is great for such a high standard. I recommend this place.

Oh, not so good… premium wine pairing included 9 tastes (sips) of 9 lowest value National and International varieties. 3 of 6 matched or elevated the dishes. 12 is the date. The premier ingredient served was a Haake fish that the chef swore he paid 25€/kg… we were not impressed and with a diabetic partner, we cannot eat 5 of 14 dishes of dessert. We left after the Haake.
Sasha N — Google review
Amazing culinary experience in Pamplona. We had the “Metamorphosis experience”, where the mixture of flavours and exquisite wines are served with a personal touch from the owner Jaoine. Totally different and worth experience. They were grateful that we mentioned the dietary restrictions (gluten intolerance) and made the necessary adjustments to the menu
Santi E — Google review
Beautifully presented dishes and homemade bread in the 60€, 9 plate menu (wine is separate, but tasty). The most flavorful main course was the costilla de cerdo and the mango ice cream was the best dessert. Everything looks incredible - they clearly put a lot of time into designing every plate, but the flavors weren't all as interesting as the looks. I'd give a 4.5/5 if it were an option, but a 4 is simply too low. Nevertheless, it was a lunch to remember :)

Incredible culinary experience at Kabo. Amazing display of talent and know-how in terms of customer service, attention to details and, most importantly, haute cuisine. Aaron and his team of expert chefs make the most creative dishes, based mainly on the use of vegetables, combining cooking techniques not usually applied to plant-based dishes. Special thanks to front-of-house staff members Iker and Marina for their detailed descriptions of every dish. All in all, a highly recommendable experience.

A truly elegant dining experience! The restaurant is beautifully designed inside and has a large parking area, which is very convenient. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the host (not a waiter), which gave the evening a very welcoming and professional start. It’s definitely best to reserve a table in advance – we were just lucky to get in, but usually, bookings are made 2–3 weeks ahead, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. The restaurant is well-known for its chuletón, and now we know why. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful – like butter – an absolute delight. We also tried a fresh salad and were offered several off-menu specials, which the staff explained in detail. For dessert, the chocolate fondant was a highlight – warm and rich inside, perfectly paired with ice cream. The service throughout was attentive and polite, adding to the overall impression. Bar Txoko Taberna is a charming establishment nestled in the heart of historic Pamplona, right next to the former Hotel Quintana, where literary giant Ernest Hemingway once stayed. This bar has long been a gathering place for bullfighting aficionados and locals alike, creating an inviting atmosphere that draws both tourists and residents. Whether you're in the mood for cocktails, pintxos, or simply a comforting coffee, Bar Txoko offers it all with a touch of tradition.
They do translate to English somewhat making it understandable for those that do not speak Spanish. They clearly cater to breakfast eaters. Everything was tasty, service was also good. No complaints whatsoever. I would recommend this place.

Had a short time to eat. Staff was quick to serve us and very friendly. Food was phenomenal 😋
Danielle I — Google review
The waiter is not kind. He ignored foreigners intentionally. I know he is busy and there's only one man working at that time. But he just served all other Spanish customers except us. Even idiot can tell he's not being nice to us. He made me feel unwelcomed to Pamplona. The coffee and chocolate are good though. Only the service sucks.

It’s has basic decor but food was lovely, we had tapas and the tuna burger. Cooked to perfection. The service and chef were fantastic.

Very attentive waiter (Didn’t catch his name but he was a Moroccan man who was a Barcelona/Liverpool fan). Great drinks too, highly recommend
Joe T — Google review
Initially, service was so slow we nearly left. Waiter seemed too busy to attend to us, despite us attracting his attention. However, after we ordered food, things picked up & we had a nice lunch.
Sandie S — Google review
made an order during their lunchtime hour that didn't make it through. had to ask multiple times for silverware and drinks, then when I questioned where my food was they told me they weren't doing lunch anymore and had to order something else (but I was on a tight schedule and didn't have time to wait for another meal). even after that they couldn't bother giving me a water or the cola I asked for.
Jane H — Google review
Seriously disappointing. Rude staff and no printed menus so you have to load a digital one which wouldn't open. No-one interested in helping and definitely not interested in foreign customers. If you are one, save yourself a very negative experience and go anywhere else, where you will be more welcome. Off the main square will probably be better

Despite that, they make basic but delicious sandwiches or portions. We ordered a portion of txistorra (a type of txistorra) and a pork loin sandwich with peppers. Ample portions, good service, and a proper village bar atmosphere! We also tried some local beers, which were delicious. Everything fine except the timing of serving us. We were a group of 25 people with a reservation already made to have dinner and we waited 1hour and 40 minutes to be served. There were lots of people entering into the bar to order take away food, and they were served before us, even being arrived later than our reservation. The food was ok but a bit oily.

June 2021 - excellent 3-course meal for 11 euros with a full bottle of house wine, water and coffee. So good we went twice and, from the looks of it, a favorite among locals vs. the 13-16 euro alternatives. The menu changes every day but they always include a salad, seafood and meat dishes. (Translated by Google) I am very happy that they have opened a Mexican in Tudela, it widens the variety of possibilities when it comes to choosing. The menu is pretty good, very similar to what you can find in real Mexican restaurants, and the quality of the food is fine, nothing special to say about it. The portion sizes are adequate, they are quite generous. What I find is that the owners are still a bit new, they have some flaws that I imagine and I hope that over time they will improve if they want the restaurant to work, and for that I write here the details that they need to improve although they will not do to stop trying to go. - Two of the dishes were not hot enough, one of them was even cold inside. - One of the drink glasses was very dirty at the base, I imagine it is a fault, but it makes one suspicious of the cleanliness. - Lack of desserts, they only had one left to offer, cheesecake, I would like something more typical Mexican and variety. - They forgot to bring out some nachos with guacamole that are usually used as a detail, although they were served when we were finishing dinner. I have read that they are very slow, but in our case that was not the case, they were even very fast.

Based on several recommendations from friends and because it was heavily advertised, it was a total disappointment 😞 for my taste and that of my family who went for dinner. Burger 🍔 All the meat was dry, tasteless, and cold. They said they were too big, which isn't exaggerating, they're just ordinary burgers. The only good thing about the beer was the toast, and the dessert, to say the least, was a mini dessert. The only burger we ordered that was decent was the Maniburger. Ristorante 1995 Yamaguchi is a charming eatery that beautifully marries history with culinary delight. Housed in a building once dedicated to grain grinding, the restaurant retains its rustic charm through preserved old machinery and stones from the mill, alongside remnants of the town's hydroelectric plant. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for enjoying Spanish cuisine.
We have eaten here a few times while visiting Pamplona. Great food and exceptional service. Highly recommended.

Would have given the food a higher rating except that the lasagne which was very good was a little too salty for my taste. This is not unusual. Seems like most chefs over do it with the salt to enhance the sauce. Hopefully this will be noted and corrected accordingly. A nice change from tapas.

Pleasant ambiance however ordered the seafood spaghetti, and all the seafood ingredients were either in their shell or skin which made 'tucking in' very difficult. There was no side of lemon water to cleanse the fingers or bowl to put the shells in. We also ordered the roast lamb which was all bone! Although the 4 or 5 mouthfuls of meat I found was soft, succulent and flavoursome. I hope these are just teething problems as they has just opened up.

They have gluten-free options, although the bread was a bit run-down. However, I ordered a cheesecake and they brought me a lemon one... which they could have later discounted for the mistake. As for the price... it's quite expensive, because we paid 24 euros for a salad (not very large). I don't know if the prices are inflated because it's San Fermín... But since it's a neighborhood and not the center of Pamplona, I don't know... I'll go back to check it out, because the food is still very good. En cuanto al precio... es bastante caro, porque pagamos por una ensalada (,no muy grande) 24 euroazos... No sé si estarán hinchados los precios por ser San Fermín... It was a restaurant outside the city center but very close to the castle and the town exit. Street parking was free and plentiful. Prices were reasonable and very good for the area. The only downside was the noise inside the restaurant and the hustle and bustle, but overall, no problems. Albergue Kortarixar is a simple hostel located just after Elizondo, offering a medieval ambiance with modern decor and beautiful views of the landscape and old town. The hostel provides clean facilities, comfortable beds, modern showers with great water pressure, and helpful hosts. It's conveniently situated within a 5-minute walk to Elizondo center.
Basic. Staff very efficient. If hiking, a perfect place to stay - reasonably good food at reasonable prices, fast internet and, generally, everything works. I've been hiking for 5 weeks and seen badly managed places (one cannot choose in the mountains) so that made me appreciate the place more.
A. S — Google review
Really quite nice for the price with a good bar and supermarket near by, a good stop off on a long distance hike, only giving it a 3 star review due to the windows that don't open. We asked to open the windows, but they had been disabled due to a rain storm earlier in the day which made the room stuffy
Alex L — Google review
Bit of a weird spot on a industrial shopping area 10min walk out of town. But everything a basic hiker needs!
Giel — Google review
Good value for money in my opinion. It is a simple hostel so do not expect luxury. On the other hand the place is clean, hosts are very helpful and nice. It is just after Elizondo but it is not a huge effort to get there from the city. What I liked the most was that the place offered 4 persons room for a private usage just for 25 Euro (just 10 Euro more than a single place in a multipersons room). This was a perfect offer for me as I had to dry my clothes and tent after a rainy night in the mountains. The place also offers a bar where you can eat good food. For budget travelers there is a excellent grocery next doors. What I did not like was a ceiling window which could not be open during a rain. There were not many other options to get a fresh air. You should take it into consideration when making your decision on a hot day.
Igor S — Google review

Despite being simple in appearance, Zeruko provides a cozy atmosphere with excellent service that gives off a fancy restaurant vibe at a fraction of the cost.
This was the best pintxo bar of my 4 day vacation in San Sebastian. I could not try the other Zeruko bar as it was closed but this one was phenomenal. Every pintxo from the menu was very original, delicious and had a fantastic presentation. The atmophere is very cozy and the service is excellent. New extension of the famous bar Zeruko (on the same street). Comparison between both places is inevitable. The goal with this place is to have a seat in more comfortable atmosphere. Also because it was new in June 2018 it was not on the tourist guide so few people adventure inside! Presentation of the food is awesome, but still missing a little something magic for the taste if I compare with the original place.

Bar Casa Jesús Mari is a popular spot in central Pamplona known for its rustic and almost-Celtic interior. The venue offers bocadillo sandwiches, including gluten-free options, as well as Spanish lagers and wines. The bar is famous for its delicious bocadillos and roast potatoes with various toppings, such as mushroom and cheese sauce. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available.
We came to this bar hungry, soaked to the bone from the pouring rain, and left full, warm, and very satisfied. From the moment we walked in, we felt the welcoming atmosphere. Terrible over priced pizza that takes advantage of their opening hours. Don't go there even if you're drunk.
Sunny Z — Google review
Is this a nice restaurant to hang out in - no. But the vegetarian pizza I had was amazing. Thin , crispy and loaded with vegetables. I'd go there again for that pizza.
Tomas M — Google review
Ok so, what in the actual triple Italian is this pizza? Besides the fact that my friend was racially attacked, the pizza was not good, it tasted like the pizza was from the day before

bad service, waiter drops pizza and just gives it to you as if nothing happened, no sorry

Pizza Takeout
Simona's Pizza is a must-visit in Estella, offering some of the best pizzas with quality ingredients and homemade dough. The generous portions and affordable prices make it a popular choice, especially for pilgrims looking for a satisfying meal. The fast service and early opening time cater to those seeking an early dinner. Customers appreciate the option to customize their pizzas without extra charges, making it convenient for groups with different preferences.
Extremely fast and open at 19:00 while other shops open around 20:30 — great for a Pilgrim looking to get a filling meal before going to sleep early. Affordable for the size of pizza you get and you can split the toppings for no extra charge. I made a vegetarian pizza with veggie on one side and four cheese on the other.

It's reasonable price and you can get the family size pizza. We ordered half and half with quarto cheese and salami and 2 drinks. It cost 17 euros. I thought it would be better if we can dine in but it was okay since we live close fortunately.

Highly recommended. Great value, a nice satisfying size and a clean place. We had the pepperoni and it was rich. All pilgrims should should by here for outstanding pizza.

(Translated by Google) Very cold and deserted. Hours are extremely limited. The pizza slices are incredibly expensive. We thought buying more would get us a better deal, but that wasn't the case. The price-performance ratio is not very good. We won't return until they adjust their prices to match their quality. (Original) Local muy frío y muy abandonado. Horario hiperreducido. Las porciones de pizzas carísimas. Pensábamos que comprando más nos harían precio pero no fue así. Calidad precio nada ajustada. No volveremos hasta que ajusten los precios a su calidad

(Translated by Google) Lots of variety and good pizzas. They are sold in portions to be consumed locally, taken hot or uncooked. Very friendly and professional staff. It is easy to park at the back, there is a free covered parking 80 meters away. They have been around for many years and I hope they will continue for as many more. Be careful, they don't open every day. (Original) Mucha variedad y buenas pizzas. Se venden en porciones para consumir en local, llevar caliente o sin cocinar. El personal muy amable y profesional. (Translated by Google) The vegetable lasagna is the same pre-cooked frozen lasagna you get from the supermarket. Terrible quality, very disappointing. The pasta is also the same as anyone else's homemade pasta with a little tomato sauce. Extremely expensive for what it is. €23 for these two dishes, not even worth €10. We won't be back. (Original) La lasaña vegetal es la misma lasaña congelada precocinada del supermercado. Calidad pésima, muy decepcionante. (Translated by Google) My partner and I went a couple of days ago. We ordered two medium pizzas (2 for 1) and a 1-liter Coca-Cola. The pizzas were delicious for fast food, and the guy who served us was very nice and respectful, giving us some advice on something. We had a whole pizza left over, and they gave us a convenient takeaway box at no extra cost.

The dough is very thick, undercooked, with way too much flavorless cheese and dripping fat... a pizzaiolo training course is a must. Move on.
