Café König is a renowned Konditorei in Baden-Baden, Germany, known for its exquisite pastries, chocolates, and cakes. The elegant dining room with chandeliers and terrace tables offers a charming setting to enjoy traditional afternoon tea with finger sandwiches and cream-filled pastries. This historic café has been crafting pralines, tortes, truffles, and cakes for over 250 years and has attracted famous patrons like Tolstoy and Liszt.
Stopped by Café König and was thoroughly impressed. I picked up a selection of chocolates, tiny cakes, and pastries — everything was beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious. The quality and presentation were top-notch. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine patisserie.

Café König – Pure Dessert Bliss A must-visit for cake lovers! The Black Forest cake was incredibly light and fluffy with cherries and chocolate – Easily one of the best Black Forest cakes we’ve had – rich, but never heavy. The passion fruit cheesecake was equally stunning – creamy, tangy, and beautifully fresh. Paired with great coffee and charming outdoor seating, it’s the perfect treat stop in the heart of Baden-Baden.
Jamila V — Google review
The cakes were delicious, slightly on the pricey side but the cafe’s ambience is wonderful. The Black Forest cake was light, with fluffy cream, a subtle touch of cherry liqueur that wasn’t overpowering, and just the right amount of cherries topped with dark chocolate. Each element of the cake was well-balanced, making it a delightful treat. I would definitely come back again.
Jessica S — Google review
Very aristocratic cafe with classic hot drinks sweets and cakes. The service although performed in English needs some improvement to adjust and ensemble to the rest of the decor. The cakes were some average some good. The black forest was very nice. Tea portions were minion but nice quality and taste. Please note that first you need to order your sweets take your receipt and then go to the table to order your hot drinks and give the receipt to your serving waiter.
Petros P — Google review
Black Forrest Cake Shop is a real gem! The cakes are fresh. The ambience inside is cozy and welcoming, making it a lovely spot to relax and enjoy dessert and afternoon tea

The waiter was screaming at me and my Family.. with no reason. She woke up my little 1,5 yo baby, while the waitress was yelling at us. I’m very very upset about the service we received here last Friday 12 Sept. at 2:45 pm. I came in and asked a waiter if we can sit outside at the table drink some tea with sweets we’re buying from their shop, she said yes, it’s ok. And I was sited and served with tea and some sweets. Then suddenly that “evil” waitress appeared behind my back! And started Yelling right away at me., smth like that it is not allowed to eat sweets from their shop here at the table.. I didn’t even understand what does she want.. she was so angry at us.. but we didn’t do anything wrong. I was disappointed with such a behavior. we were just seated and served by another waitress, and she was ok, serving us good. Other guests in the cafe were also surprised with this, you could see that on their faces.. it was so embarrassing. Not nice at all. .. I consider this as Service Crime against guests and the business also $$$. The name of this cafe - Kings!!??? This kind of service is not even close this word. The “evil” waitress refused to tell her name after the accident, telling that she has GDPR rights not to tell her name to clients)) ok. But what happens with my right to be treated as a human being and as a customer.? *I describe the waitress, so other customers may be aware. She has white colored hair, short haircut, aged.. and not nice) When I asked others from the team who is the general manager responsible for the service, they refused to tell that. And finally said that she is the main manager responsible for the service..)) that’s so sad.. if it’s true. PS: from the business prospective. We ordered sweets for 55 Eur this time.) and she was just Yelling at my Family.. because of what? A bad day or smth.. business looses me, my Family, my friends, recommendations , friends of my friends.. and so on. Gets a 1-star review.. + loses future sales. €€ We were shopping here before and visited this place several times for breakfast, sweets. Spent several hundred here already before,.. and could spend more this year and next, and then. So it will be some minus €€€ euro amount life time from the turnover from a business side, * multiple by how many times this kind of service happens.. how many customers are lost because of this waitress. and the service. the business looses thousands of Eur each year. At this point I don’t recommend visiting the place. Anyway, thank you for the lesson. Learned. I wish you all the best. Let’s take smth from this and make our world a better place)

Really elegant place with great German cakes. The apple pie was one of the best i've had this year. Would come back for more!

I had a truly memorable experience at Café König in Baden-Baden. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt elegant yet relaxed, offering the perfect setting for a leisurely coffee break. The coffee itself was outstanding — perfectly brewed, rich in flavour, and paired with an impeccable selection of pastries and sweets that were not only beautiful to look at but absolutely delicious. The surroundings also impressed me — a charming historic café located at Lichtentaler Str. 12, in the heart of Baden-Baden, with indoor seating and a lovely terrace under an old linden tree. I found the staff very friendly, they spoke English which made it easy and comfortable as an international visitor. chocolatier.de +2 In short: outstanding coffee, delightful treats, superb environment and warm service — a must-visit when you’re in Baden-Baden.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Baden-Baden, Kaffeehaus Baden-Baden is a delightful bakery and café that promises an unforgettable experience for both locals and visitors alike. Operated by Konditorei Bockeler, this charming establishment offers a tempting array of freshly baked breads, rolls, and exquisite handmade confections like chocolates, macarons, and seasonal delights such as plum cake.
Nice cafe for breakfast with a nice start to the morning in this wonderful area, we ordered a cafe latte and americano, scrambled eggs with croissants and a granola plate..

We spent a weekend around Baden Baden and decided to grab some breakfast here. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection of coffee, as well as cookies and pastries. We tried the flat white (comes with a cookie) and the French toast. When I tell you, this was the BEST French toast I’ve ever had, it’s true. Between friendly service and top notch food, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try! You won’t be disappointed.

This cafe was super cute with great atmosphere, food and drinks! I ordered a capuchino and a slice of blueberry custard pie which was really delicious. The tarte of the blueberry paird perfectly with the sweetness of the custard, I would definitely recommend getting a slice! My friend ordered the jasmine tea which teasted great along with a buttery and rich croissant. They also have a great menue with a diverse selection of teas. This is a great place to chill with friends and start your day in baden-baden!

Nestled behind the elegant Kurhaus and adjacent to the renowned Casino, Café Bar Trinkhalle offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This charming café boasts an inviting interior adorned with classical artwork and vibrant floral displays, creating a warm ambiance for relaxation. When you step outside, you'll find a delightful patio that serves as an ideal spot to unwind after exploring the sights of Baden-Baden.
There is a very different ambiance at night, the backyard side is worth seeing from afar

Very rude and dishonest staff. They charged me twice and didn’t even bother to apologize. It felt like they just wanted to get rid of customers as quickly as possible. The service leaves a lot to be desired. I ordered tea with pie — the tea was terrible. The water tasted stale and smelled strongly of chlorine. Definitely not what you expect when ordering something so basic. Also, there are no facilities for families with small children — not even high chairs, which made the visit even more uncomfortable. Would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you’re with kids or expecting decent service

Hervé M — Google review
I would avoid booking Cafe Bar Trinkhalle for a private event. My wife and I booked an event for friends here on the night before our wedding in September. Upon making the booking, my wife, who is German and lived for several years in Baden-Baden, tried to determine what conditions there were to the booking, such as a deposit or minimum spend, and we were assured that neither of these applied. Several days before our wedding, however, we received a call from the manager to say there was in fact a minimum spend of several thousand euros. We can only assume this was an attempt to lock us in to the minimum spend at a time when it was too late to find another venue. As we were having our reception at Brenner's, there may have been an assumption that we would not question any additional cost. When we attempted to cancel, saying we would simply go somewhere else (which would have been impossible several days before), the minimum spend was reduced. When we continued to argue, so so-called mandatory minimum spend was reduced even further. We carried through with the booking but were also disappointed to discover that on the night of our event the beer taps were out of order so only bottled beer could be served, most of which was imported non-German beer. As we had many international guests visiting Germany for the first time, this was not what we intended.

Lovely old fashioned café with great kuchen and drinks selection. The videos shown on big screen had some inappropriate content for our 9-year old daughter (we where there at daytime) and their card machine didn't accept our maestro from the Netherlands.

I sat here for two times they have variety of drinks and sweets and they all taste nice , but the first time the service was good but the second time I came the server was rude and racist and doesn't want to work and the cafe is located in a museum which people come from all over the world to see the beautiful Baden Baden and therefore suppose to be there an open minded waiter that knows there is whole different world and accept that .

We came in for a piece of back forest cake after several places didn't have it. We ended up staying for a meal, and we weren't sorry. The salmon on French toast was amazing as was the black forest cake. It was so yummy!

Fantastic bakery/coffee house, wonderful cakes & chocolates & macarons, lovely waiting staff
Ybloem V — Google review
Five stars for great service, my waitress was attentive, sincere, had good eye contact, spoke German and English. Five stars for ambience. There is plenty of seating. The pastry display is also impressive. There was a variety of cakes to choose from, but I opted for the Black Forest cake. It was my first time trying it and honestly it was not my favorite. There was more cream than cake and the alcohol taste was strong. The sweetness level was just right, but I would have loved a hint more of vanilla in the cream. The presentation was beautiful, though. I do not know what Black Forest cake should taste like, but next time I would venture for a different cake. Okay, the Winter salad was amazing ! It was fresh, it had beautiful colors, it had a variety of greens: endives, sprouts, pickled red cabbage and onions, Vibrant red currants, pumpkin seeds, a light creamy lemon dressing. Just try it. The potato soup was acceptable. The bread that came with it was awesome and hearty ,better than the US. I would come here again.

One of the best breakfasts I had , the plate speaks. 😍❤️

Probably the best cafe nearby the concert hall to drink a cup of strong coffee and to eat a cake. If the breakfast is included in the price of your room, you should forget it, and have your breakfast in Bockeler. The place is stylish, and the service is good. I am a big fan of their apple pie, they definitely have a secret to bake it!

Peter's gute Backstube in Baden Baden is a popular spot for breakfast, known for its central location and friendly staff. The menu offers a variety of options including salads, cheese, ham, fresh bread rolls, cakes, and coffee at reasonable prices. Despite the limited space inside, there is an outside terrace available for use. The bakery cafe serves generous portions and has a range of bread and filled rolls to choose from.
Centrally located in Baden Baden made the trip to Peter's easy and convenient. Great atmosphere with a variety of seating options. We had no issues ordering in English with the waitress. The food was delicious. I had a pretzel croissant with fish and egg which was very tasty. It's interesting that all of the food served is displayed in an unrefrigerated case, but it seems like this is the case throughout Germany so it's not out of the ordinary for the area. Overall, we had a great experience.
Mikey T — Google review
This was a solid choice for an affordable and quick breakfast. The service was polite and did not mind that I ordered in English. I did ask if I could get the farmer's breakfast without pork, but they said it could not be done. That's fine, as I never expect a restaurant to make substitutions. I ordered the vegetarian Mediterranean breakfast instead. The eggs were a bit overdone for my taste. I sat outside to enjoy the fresh air, but I was soon surrounded by smokers. I did return the next day and ordered a yogurt parfait which was delicious. I sat inside to avoid the smokers.
Amara C — Google review
Good spot to pickup or eat in for breakfast. Great coffee. Eggs were just ok, but overall very nice spot in the center of town.
Joanie A — Google review
First of all, I love the variety this place offers. The pretzels and pastries are incredible and freshly made. However, I encountered a couple of issues. The cashier does not speak English at all, not even at an intermediate level. Additionally, I noticed that the lady preparing the orders touches the food with her bare hands, without wearing gloves. Overall, I love the vibes.
Zainab A — Google review
This is a great bakery by every possible estimate. The place is designed to have breakfast and to dream at the same time. The local coffee is strong and the taste is deep. I do like it! As for me, the cafe is cozy and nothing is overpriced. Again, if your breakfast included in the cost of your room, you loose your opportunity to enjoy life.
Alexander P — Google review
Solid breakfast, it’s quite busy in the morning, but the atmosphere is good.

A really pretty bakery/café in the city centre. Good food, friendly staff and overall a really nice atmosphere and a beautiful view. The sandwiches and the desserts are very tasty. Great for breakfast, brunch or grabbing a quick bite.
Hanka V — Google review
Food is ok, but the service isn't. I tried to order a salad, but people kept jumping the line and get attended. When I finally got to order, the personnel was lukewarm (at best), borderline rude. And when I got to pay for it, I was ignored. So I left and went to citoburger instead. Best decision it was...

Nestled within the charming confines of Bahnhof Baden-Baden, Coffee Fellows - Kaffee, Bagels, Frühstück is a delightful spot for coffee lovers and snack enthusiasts alike. This cozy café offers an impressive array of specialty coffees, from classic espressos to innovative seasonal blends that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. Pair your drink with their freshly baked pastries—think buttery croissants and delectable muffins—or opt for a satisfying sandwich.
My first experience with Coffee Fellows in Europe, this one is located in the Baden-Baden railway station. It's not a very large shop (the railway station is rather small) but they still have coffee and pastries and sandwiches. My double espresso (yep, time for more coffee) was great and it was a comfy spot to wait for the (late) train. There is a free wifi here and if you're a customer, you can use their restroom for free.

(Translated by Google) Very small, narrow café with 5-6 tables outside, limited offerings, often a meeting place for regular guests on Friday evenings. Currently mutated into a test station, good idea as there are many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Nice small petrol station.

(Translated by Google) I went to this gas station regularly every morning for six years to get my breakfast. I was ALWAYS greeted warmly with a friendly smile. Then, unfortunately, the lady left because of a staff change. Since then, I've been making my breakfast at home because I only go to this gas station in an emergency. The ladies and gentlemen who work there now are very unfriendly. You hardly get any attention; sometimes there are three of them standing there discussing private matters. Especially one lady with glasses and short blonde hair. I just wanted to jump over the counter! How can someone like that treat customers? It's beyond me. I won't go there again!

(Translated by Google) I've been coming to this gas station regularly with our cars (both private and business) for many years. I have always been very satisfied. The staff is friendly and attentive. However, for some time now, there has unfortunately been a mostly grumpy, elderly blonde lady with glasses (Polish accent?) who tarnishes the otherwise good image to such an extent that I will only fill up there in an "emergency" from now on. Am I an isolated case? Hardly, because when I browse the reviews here, it seems that many other customers feel the same way...

Cafe-Konditorei Klaus Vollmer is located in the picturesque Baden-Baden vineyards, specifically in the Rebland region. This charming cafe offers a delectable selection of homemade cakes, pralines, and petit fours that pair perfectly with their hot beverages. While some visitors noted that the cakes were not freshly baked on the day of their visit, they still found them to be very tasty. The portions are generous and served with care.

I received a message from UPS saying that the letter had been delivered to Niki's office and was ready for pickup. Immediately after receiving the delivery notification, I went to Niki's to pick up the letter. Niki told me she didn't have the letter and that I should come back tomorrow. I called UPS customer service that same day to inquire about the whereabouts of my letter. They assured me that the letter had indeed been delivered to Niki. The customer service representative said that she had signed for it and that he would launch an investigation. The next day I received the letter from Niki. Cafe Capri is well-known for its Italian coffee and delicious cakes, but it is also loved for its strategic spot overlooking the hustle and bustle of Baden-Badens central square. It has been in business for over fifty years and has served generations of locals as a popular place to people watch and gossip.
We love Capri! We come to Baden-Baden 3-4 times a year and each time we have lunch here. It’s great all year round. In summer, their ice creams are delicious and there are lots of choices. In colder months, we love their quiche and their soups. Also, their cakes are amazing. We especially like the Sacher Torte ❤️ We also always ask for a fresh orange juice, which is delicious each time and very healthy. The staff is always super friendly and we’re happy to see most of the same faces for some years now. Highly recommended!

Good ice cream, but way too expensive for what it is. Nothing too special. Service was not attentive and basically ignored us during our stay, with dirty dishes on our table for around an hour. Strange. Nice location though, as always.
Spundguy P — Google review
How is it possible that I've been going to Baden Baden for years but I just discovered Capri today? The cheese cake is OUT OF THIS WORLD there. It's the best I've ever had!! Bar none. It's as fluffy but tasty and creamy as culinary poetry... If you visit Baden Baden, do yourself a favor and go get cheese cake at Capri. You will NOT be disappointed.

We stayed at the hotel Beek and a highlight was the wonderful pastries and cakes made on the premises. The black forest cake was absolutely sublime. Full of kirsch soaked cherries and very light to eat. Anna and her staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend a stay here or at least dine in the cafe.

I stayed here for one night, staff at checkin is friendly, breakfast is good, with wide selections (some are from the pastry next door).

Delightful, open air cafe serving pastries not offered elsewhere and excellent coffee. The Linze is particularly recommended. Very strange ordering system - you have to order your coffee seated at a table with one waitress and then go inside and order pastries separately. However, neither waitress conferred with the other and the service seemed very disconnected.

Great hotel in the heart of Baden Baden walking area, 1 minute walk to the Roman baths. Excellent and very helpful staff. Thanks for not cancelling our online reservation despite my card failed. Very good breakfast in the café on the ground floor. We enjoyed our very short stay and happy to recommend this property and happy to recommend this property. The room we had was decent size with big bathroom which had a window. For the price we paid - I think it was excellent choice. It is a bit difficult to find on google maps as it is also a bakery shop - just go to bakery shop and you will find an entrance to the side of the building.
