Lucettegrace is our go-to spot for a special treat. The croissants are unbelievably flaky and buttery, and the coffee is always smooth and delicious. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming—even our kids love it here! A perfect place for a family pastry stop in downtown Raleigh.

When you enter there are a couple stairs to reach the counter. There are lots of yummy treats available. Many pastries. Prices are between $4 and $10. They have a couple gluten free options but no gluten free pastry. There are multiple coffee options. I had an Americano and it was good. My son really enjoyed the fruit pastry he got. It had custard and strawberry type preserves. Well baked and flaky. There are 2 restrooms available. The one I used was clean. The one complaint is that it was hot inside. They could enjoy the use of the air conditioner more to make patrons more comfortable.

I am a CLT native and came to Raleigh for the weekend to visit family. We stopped in for a bite. Ahhhhamazing! It's pricey but SO worth the bills. We had the London Fog, the ultimate cheese toast ( they told the absolute truth) and savory muffin with sausage gravy inside ( can't recall the official name). Each and every bite was super yummy! The staff is kind and patient ( two littles with us) and the ambiance is perfect. Local art featured for the decor. Don't hesitate to stop in and as a guest to the city, after Dix Park this is my new Raleigh fav👌🏾 If your from CLT like me and know and love Amelie's this is going to remind you of them!

I would rate a 3.5. I got a caramel latte and a changes in latitude. I'm sharing an image of macaroons but have no idea what they taste like. The changes in latitude is a coconut tres leche cake, keylime custard on the inside. There is a mousse topping with a strong lime center. I would have liked a bit more keylime flavor in the custard. For me, it was barely noticeable but spreading the lime cream up top provided the flavor. I liked the texture of the dessert overall but if it wasnt for the mousse and lime center on top, it didn't taste like much of anything to me. The coconut was barely noticeable which for me is a plus, I dont do coconut but was trying something different. Its is not a sweet dessert nor was I looking for that. My coffee was good but I can't really judge it with the dessert as the start of my experience while waiting for the coffee. The ambience was nice and the woman helping us was nice enough. We didn't chat about anything, but she definitely wasn't rude or acting annoyed as some places. She walks your drinks over after she prepares them, so this could be a bit time consuming for someone in a hurry. Another staff member finally came out to help. I would go back, for coffee/latte. The price, $6, for it was along the lines of all the other places selling coffee in that area. But I do think the pastries are expensive. Today's market, what isn't?

I gotta be honest. I was going to start with "it's a little pricey", then I had one bite of my L'Italien sandwitch and I was like "jeez, it's totally worth it"!! We also loved the desserts. My favorite was raspberry barret 💜.

First timers, my husband and I visited this morning and I got the ham and cheese croissant and my hubby got the curry chicken sandwich. We grabbed a few other pastries too. The lucette coffee was amazing and the gentleman that helped us was so helpful. My toasted ham and cheese croissant... to die for!

This bakery was absolutely unreal. From the Italian sandwich and kouign amann to the cheesecake and chocolate mousse dessert, every item was made with finesse and care. The flavors were strong and balanced with textures that kept you diving in for another bite. Every item deserved a Paul Hollywood handshake. The friendly, patient staff were happy to offer recommendations and created a truly welcoming atmosphere. Honestly, I am so impressed by this place, and I can't wait to go back.

I feel so fortunate to live locally to Boulted Bread, it’s one of my favorite places. their treats are delicious and made fresh, their staff are lovely and welcoming, and the coffee is always great. be prepared for a line in the morning on weekends (it’s worth the wait). if you get there a little later in the morning, you’ll be able to get the focaccia which has a different flavor each week and always hits the spot.

There may be a better bakery in Raleigh. But I sure haven’t found it! Fantastic bread, pastries, baguettes, you name it. Morning Buns are world class! A truly exceptional spot.

I really need you to ship to us :) we visited yesterday for the first time. My daughter and I were visiting colleges. We shared a chocolate croissant and the spinach and onion focaccia. Amazing is an understatement! We also got a couple coffees and they were also delicious! We live about 3 hours away so it’s not crazy far BUT I wish I could come there every weekend! The staff was also very friendly and welcoming.

Lovely little place! Me and my friends got some super yummy baked goods. I personally didn’t get anything to drink but my friends got a cappuccino and a matcha raspberry Tonic, which I thought was super creative and yummy. Definitely going to come back to try more :)

Items are hit or miss I did love the everything croissant. the morning bun was fresh and amazing as well however the pull apart barely had any filling the ham and cheese croissant was mediocre and I wasn't a fan of the loaf of bread or drip coffee I will say all items are fresh staff is very attentive and friendly it was a bit on the expensive side and I guess you just have to know what to get here

Read a lot of great things about this bakery online and decided to visit, it did not disappoint. The chocolate croissants are closer to what I've tasted in Europe than anywhere else I've tried here. We also got a chocolate chip cookie that the kids loved, and a load of ciabatta that probably didn't make it an hour before we got home.

Great breads and pastries! The blueberry coffee jam pinwheel was superb. Optimistic about the loaves too!

Let me say… I own Fat Tuesday and I work nonstop at the bar. I have no time to cook home cooked meals anymore. We have food and it’s good but it’s bar food. I wanted a home cooked meal. I ordered the fried ribs, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, rice and jerk chicken (my husband was eating too). Let me tell you…. I ate good! It all was delicious! It was plenty of food too! Nothing but crumbs left. Don’t walk, run and get you some food now! 🙌🏾😋

I work across the pond from their shop and I love it. It's so cute on the inside, I saw they had board games for people and such a cozy space. And the treats? So good! I've only been twice but both times I've loved what I got. I tried the cookies and creme rice krispie so yummy and I recently got the oatmeal creme pie cake in a jar and it was on point! I guess it's a good problem to have a place with yummy treats near my job 😄

Cake Couture is one of our Approved Vendors for our wedding and events venue because they provide amazing customer service, excellent quality catering and amazing cakes!!! The maple bacon cupcake is my favorite and the Bourbon Salmon will melt in your mouth. My brides rave about Brie and I know exactly why - she and her husband, Mariston, are a pleasure to work with! I recommend them to all of my clients!

We recently had Cake Couture cater our wedding at the Grand Marquis Ballroom. We are absolutely glad that we chose them. The food and service was AMAZING. They made us feel more like family than customers. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend.

Brie and her husband catered our wedding at The Bradford. Not only was the dinner and dessert amazing, but Brie was so lovely to work with. Our tasting/trial with her was also great! That’s where we fell in love with Brie.

I heard about Cake Couture from my cousin, so we had to come for a visit. When one walks in, he or she is greeted by the warm colors of black, gold, and white. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the customer service is amazing. My cousin and I tasted the Butter Toffee Crunch and Strawberry Shortcake cupcakes; the food left us speechless. The cupcakes were light, fluffy, and just simply amazing. If you are in the area, please stop by; you will not be disappointed. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

To find the perfect compilation of artistry and taste is not very easy but Confectionate Cakes provides both!

Laura is an incredible baker and made selecting our cake one of the easiest experiences of planning our wedding. She was able to quickly guide us from unspecific desires to a concrete plan. We also didn’t require any convincing that the cake was delicious. One taste had us both agreeing this was the best cake we had ever had. Her services were also beyond reasonably priced, making this selection a slam dunk and an incredibly easy recommendation.

Laura is a fantastic wedding cake designer and baker. Her cake is delicious and she brings many years of experience and skill! I know her professionally and personally and can tell you she is a kind and warm person and I always look forward to opportunities to work alongside her. As a wedding cake designer myself, I often refer clients to her that I am not able to take on. I highly recommend Confectionate Cakes!

I like coming here, but I feel like it has gone up in price/value. $3.99 for a soft drink is outrageous. The bakery items are so yummy, I next time I will just get a water. Also, the value you get for the breakfast sandwich is not there. I paid over $20 for the food you see in the photo. 🤦‍♂️

From Le Farm to Panera Bread... While going through an interview for a job at Le Farm as a teenager I was asked by the owner back then if I knew what it meant to be "Dynamic". I didn't which made sense as I was 16 and far from what the owner was looking for. The place was booming and the owner certainly knew what he was doing - that and quality was a really high priority... 22 years later I returned to the same location excited to see the changes had occurred over the years. I went with my parents and we ordered an Apple Almond tart, a "brownie", cheesecake, two lattes and a cappuccino. The place did not age well. The apple tart was once frozen and dethawed, with the cake portion being a mash of fat and sugar. No fluffiness, no fresh apples, or light crust. The brownie was essentially a frosting - likely also frozen oder left refrigerated cold. The cheesecake was a bit more redeemable, though basically a lot of sugar. Then there was the coffee. This was probably the most ridiculous coffee experience Ive ever had in my life. After looking at my "cappuccino", I saw it was simply coffee with milk. So I went to the barista and said there must have been a mistake. She said "Oh I made a cortado" 😂 (please Google a Cortado if you're unfamiliar) Then I went back to my table and saw my parents staring at their "lattes" which too were coffee and milk. So I went to the barista and said "I think there was a mistake here too, we ordered two lattes." Her response "Those are lattes." I replied "This is coffee with milk." Then came the best part. She said again "Those are lattes" and the kicker, "If I did them again you will get the same thing". Puzzled and a little entertained I took the "lattes" back. Then after a moment I got my fixed "cappuccino", which was half an inch of super heated, over-frothed milk. I tried it , took some more nibbles of my dethawed Apple Tart and threw both in the trash where it belonged. I can't speak for everything in Le Farm and quality of all its products, but "Jack of all trades and master of none" seems the most fitting here - except the bread! Gotta pay respect where it is due but if you visit the location, stick to the bread - (maybe) sandwiches? - and spare yourself the disappointment of thinking the pastries are authentic or good... Alternatively, every time you have the urge to go there put the money in a jar, save a few years, and fly to France to have a frame of reference to how horrendous the pastries in Le Farm are.

Ohhhh it’s cuteeee! I love it. Very fancy schmancy pants for a little bakery. We got an assortment of treats and I got a coffee, a caramel latte with 2 shots and guess what?! It tastes like the coffee in Seattle! By far the best cup of coffee I’ve had in North Carolina so far. This is a new favorite spot for sure. My only little complaint, for this amount of money, the staff needs to ask if you want any of your items heated up. We ate cookies and a dill scone and a few bites of our blueberry scone, all would have been better heated up. Next time I’ll ask. 3 months later update- still love it! Wish the employees didn't seem like they hate being here...but the coffee is perfect!

This is one of our family’s favorite spots for all things bread and breakfast. We always make a stop here whenever we’re in the area. In the morning, there are usually plenty of tables available, so we’ve never had to wait for a seat. The food always comes out fresh, hot and delicious, with plenty of sweets and savory items to satisfy every craving. We especially loved our breakfast and chocolate eclair, though we did find the coffee eclair a bit disappointing. It dry and tasted like it was not fresh.

I came here as an all-day breakfast lover and really enjoyed the watermelon cucumber mint drink—super refreshing! The cheddar melt on sourdough was lovely, though it could have used a bit more seasoning. The side salad with house dressing was also tasty. I was disappointed not to be able to try the quiche, since the staff couldn’t confirm what type of flour it’s made with but did mention it’s locally sourced. I’m gluten intolerant but can usually have sourdough or certain organic/imported flours, and more clarity would really help those of us with dietary restrictions. I did grab the chocolate almond French tea cakes to try at home so I can monitor any reaction, but it would have been nice to enjoy more options while dining in. The herb spread for the sourdough is only available as a $9.99 full container and not as a side option with a meal—I would have loved to add it to my bread (even as an up charge) without having to purchase the whole thing as I have a two hour ride home. Still, overall I enjoyed the experience and would definitely return.

By far, the highest quality brunch, lunch bakery in NC. Everything, is elevated, nothing is as simple as you may envision because you can take the caliber and care in every dish. It is honestly a treat, it's not just a stop. The prices can seem high on your first visit, but once any of their products touch your tongue you will instantly understand that it's a bargain and worth so so much more.

It was our first time there, nd we loved it, the cafe mocha and caramel macchiato are amazing and very tasty , we had the pesto chicken sandwich and variety of pastries, everything was delicious, highly recommended!!

It was my kids and I first time here and it will not be our last. I got a chocolate chip cookie, my oldest daughter tried red velvet for the fist time in the form of a cupcake, thr youngest daughter had a vanilla cupcake, and my son, who is more of a salty person over sweets, got a triple chocolate brownie and he loved it. The prices are great and you get more than enough for what you paid for. The parking is in a very small shopping center so I recommend parking on the street (free 1 hour parking).

Absolutely fantastic experience all around! I emailed with Leanna about a custom cake order for a BBQ themed birthday for my hubby. She was very responsive and asked all the right questions. It was a fairly quick turnaround time (less than a week) so I kept to just chocolate and vanilla buttercream, and I was flexible on the design, but had a few photos for inspiration. The team at Blue Moon Bakery did an incredible job making a lovely "grill" cake (I added the topper and toy food to finish it off). The grill and flames were all made with buttercream (not fondant!), and I STILL don't know how they got lovely ombre flame effect, but it was GORGEOUS! 🔥🔥🔥 And the taste was fantastic! Perfectly moist with simple but beautiful layers inside. Pickup was quick and easy. Thanks for such a fantastic experience! I'll definitely be back! 😄

Once in a Blue Moon Bakery did such a wonderful job for our wedding! We chose to do a smaller cutting cake and assorted cupcakes and brownies for our desserts and our guests absolutely loved it! Everything was delicious. I couldn’t be happier about our cake . It was exactly what I wanted and they did such an amazing job. Highly recommend them for your wedding!!

Once In A Blue Moon Bakery in Cary is my go-to bakery!! I plan monthly dinners with a group of eleven ladies and we celebrate each other’s birthdays. I always have Once In A Blue Moon Bakery make the birthday cakes, and I always have their cake artist(s) add decor to the top and sides of the cake. They do a PHENOMENAL job each and every time! Attached are a few pics of a cake I just had them make for one of our birthday dinners...just incredible attention to detail...and the cakes are ALWAYS super delicious! Leanna is my go-to person for ordering/designing my cakes...she, and the entire staff, at this bakery are wonderful (a special shout out to Michelle, their lead cake artist)! If you have not tried this bakery, put it on your list, you will not be disappointed!!

Best birthday cake EVER! We ordered the 6" Far Out Frangelico and it was incredible. Rich, creamy and moist! On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give this cake 20 stars.

They did my wedding cake and I was initially nervous to find a gluten free cake that still tastes great but they exceeded my expectations and their cake was very fairly priced

I’ve been here a few times now but I always forget to take any photos or leave a review. Overall I think this is my 3rd visit in about a year, and I will continue to visit in the future. The price is high if you look at it as “ice cream” but this is genuine gelato and well priced for that. All of the items I’ve purchased have been on point and the staff are always prompt with their service. The flavor options seem to be pretty standard without much rotation but there is still a good number of options.

Disappointing first time experience. Coming from Charlotte, I was extremely excited to try authentic Italian gelato/sorbetto especially after having many abroad. This place, unfortunately, did not meet expectations. There were absolutely no signs that signified that you only had to order via the tablets at the front, so we were waiting at the display case to order. Waited for about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment from the staff as the three girls chatted about live action movies. No customers were acknowledged when they walked in as well, the only acknowledgment was when the order was done and the customer’s name was called. After asking one of the girls working if we could order here after waiting for some time, she was not nice at all and told us to “just order on the tablet”. After ordering on the tablet and waiting, we received our two cups, a classic and large size. This was the second most disappointing part of our visit. The cups sizing are almost exactly identical with a messy presentation as well. My cup even came with a complimentary hair as well… which you can see in the photo to the left…. The flavours were not authentic either ): I will not be back, which is super disappointing as I thought this would be a promising local gelato shop.

One of the best gelatos I have had! The flavors are incredibly unique and versatile, and everything tastes absolutely delicious. This place has become a must-visit for me every time I’m in Raleigh.

Tonight was my first time here and loved it. I had a four flavor with macaron, and it was yum. The lime and basil sorbet and hazelnut were my fav flavors. The pistachio macaron was yum too. A little on the pricier side for dessert, but worth it.

The staff is super kind and helpful. I got the coconut gelato, tried the dulce de Leche and my friend got the vegan gelato and WOW WOW WOW. all of it, incredibly decadent and lovely! Great depth of flavor. Lacks nothing at all. Clean place! GO GO GO. there isn't another good gelato place for hours!

It was a windy Friday afternoon. We were in the mood for some coffee and a pastry. So we decided to check out the yellow dog bread company on person street. Upon entry we noticed several spots to sit outside. They had a good small selection of coffee and non coffee beverages(teas and such), they sell beans and have a great selection of pastries. We got one with chocolate in it and it was super delicious. A great spot overall, would definitely go back.

I drive past here on my way to work every day and I’ve been meaning to stop. This morning I decided it didn’t look too crowded so I’d give it a shot. A large coffee only has two espresso shots, I wasn’t asked to specify hot or iced so when it was given to me steaming hot on an already 80° morning, I just took it. Cinnamon roll totally disappointing, possibly stale?? The way they have their breads displayed in open air, wonder what they do when they get flies in there. They just let flies on all the fresh bread? Gross, will not return.

Cute little bakery with lots of outdoor seating. Nice place to grab a little snack and meet with a friend. The croissant was flaky and buttery. The cinnamon roll however was lacking a little bit. It was very nice and fluffy, but needed more filling. Was more of a sweet bread with icing then a cinnamon roll. Nothing too special about the coffee or chia tea latte. Just your average run of the mill type of drinks. However, I would like to go back and try their other breads. They had baguettes on the wall that looked delicious.

I love this bakery! They have great food items of all kinds and great coffee (my favorite being the slingshot cold brew)! I especially like their focaccia bread with veggies, pecan rolls, cinnamon rolls, seasonal pop tarts and jalapeno cheddar bread. Their apple turnover warmed up is amazing!

Tasty vegetarian and vegan focaccia bread , loved mexican spice mocha . Parking is tight since it’s Saturday but we managed to find one spot. Overall We had a nice Saturday afternoon at yellow dog bread company.

Cute little bakery, lots of yummy looking choices. The triple chocolate cake was good, but a bit mild in flavor and could have had more of a chocolate taste to it. But I'd definitely go back to try one if their custom made cakes in the future, like the banana pudding. That sounds amazing.

Amazingly adorable, duck themed with lots of duck decorations. It smells wonderful and they have a big selection of beautiful cakes, cupcakes, muffins and more. The coffee is DELICIOUS! Try the "Tacky Turtle", caramel, chocolate and tiramisu - so delicious! The muffins are so yummy! They even sell the little ducks that seem to be gracing dashboards everywhere. They have a huge selection and they're only $1.75 each. Highly recommend this as nice place to treat yourself to something delicious, something cute (quack!) or both!

Great experience working with Groovy Duck Bakery for a custom cake I ordered. Very quick to reply and very thorough! They were able to accommodate all of my requests and knocked it out of the park! Could not have turned out better. ALSO, the cake and icing themselves were delicious!

This is one of my favorite places to go for coffee, snacks, desserts, and cakes. I used to go so often they already knew my coffee order and would be in the process of making it when I walked in the door. A few years ago I had them make some cupcakes for my partner's birthday and they turned out wonderfully. I always see the cakes in their display cakes and they look amazing. If you're unsure of what to get, I highly recommend their muffins (amish friendship is my favoritee) or get the monster bar (it's a brownie with oreo in it!).

I once again indulged in a dozen gourmet cupcakes from this bakery and oh, boy, they did not disappoint! Their decadent flavor choices were exceptional. I chose Oreo, German Chocolate, Pumpkin, Neopolitan, Carrot Cake and Strawberry Preserves. The fillings in each cupcake make them even more delectable. I was pleasantly surprised that ones left over from the party were even better the next day or two! Staff was more than patient as I made my selection and helpful with their advice to keep the treats refrigerated until an hour or so before serving them. I can't wait for the next opportunity to "get my groove on" (see what I did there? Ha ha), and I suggest you do the same. I hope to try the banana pudding cake!

One of the friendliest and best bakeries in Raleigh. I have purchased two birthday cakes from this bakery and they have both been delicious. I recently had to order a very last minute cake and the bakery was able to accommodate my order. They have a really great design team there as well. I even brought a cake to Charlotte and the packaging of the cake made transportation easy. The cake was beautiful and everyone enjoyed it. The store has so many good bakery and coffee items.

4-Star Review Stumbled upon this gem while waiting for a movie to start, and I’m so glad we did! We were immediately greeted by a friendly woman who took our order and checked us out — great first impression. There was another staff member in the store who saw us but didn’t acknowledge us at all — no smile or greeting, just turned her back and focused on another task. It was a little off-putting, but thankfully didn’t overshadow the overall experience. The variety of cupcakes was impressive, and they were absolutely delicious. I especially appreciated that they offered gluten-free options — a big plus for those of us with dietary restrictions!

We had a personal wedding cake and 4 dozen cupcakes for guests at our wedding from Edible Art Bakery! We wanted a simple vintage style heart shaped cake with pastel blue writing - and they nailed the vision! Our cupcakes were pastel frosted to match our overall pastel spring wedding colors and they did a great job with those too. They were responsive via email and punctual the day of our event. After doing the tasting with them, we decided on doing a chocolate cake with strawberry mousse (SO good and creamy; I could eat a whole jar of it). Their cakes are dense and more of a dry-ish pound cake consistency, which we liked but good to know going into it that is their style. The only slight disappointment on the wedding day was the thin layer of mousse that was masked by the thick cake, to the point where we weren't even sure it was strawberry. More layers or a thicker layer would be my only critique! Thank y'all for making our special cake - we are excited to take out the slice of it from our freezer in a year ;)

My husband and I are big foodies, so we did a TON of research and taste testings for the perfect dessert vendor for our wedding. After tasting probably 10 different local bakeries, Edible Art was the very clear winner. Edible Art has really fun, customizable flavors, and unlike many of the bakeries we tried, their cakes/cupcakes were moist, and they weren’t overbearingly sweet. We chose the vanilla, triple chocolate, apple pie, and tiramisu cupcakes for our wedding as well as several mini apple pies, and even though we way over-ordered on desserts, we left our wedding with only 4 cupcakes left. Everyone loved the desserts and had great things to say. We definitely recommend Edible Art!

My daughter had a groom's cake made here, and it was AMAZING! Erin was great to work with and really brought my daughter's vision to life. It was the hit of the welcome party and I had a lot of the guests writing to ask me where we had it made!

Never again! The cake was cute, but it was super dry and not edible! What a waste of $265! I walked in as soon as the store door was unlocked and two women walked in after me. An older woman came out the back and passed me to offer help to the women who came in after me. Not surprised that she messed up their order and revealed a cake that enraged them. I had to listen to shouts of “that’s not what I wanted” as I was finally helped by a nice younger woman whose kindness was the best part of my experience. This place is overcharging for sweet cornbread covered in fondant. Do good bakeries even exist anymore?

The rotating cupcake flavors are always good and so creative. And the oatmeal cream pie is to die for. It’s one of my favorite places to pop in for a little sweet treat. They also have great coffee & matcha and there’s a little cafe area with WiFi where you can hang out or do work! And Randi & the team are simply the best.

We worked with Sugareuphoria for our custom wedding cake, and they completely blew us away! We had a very specific vision for the design, and they absolutely nailed it—the final result was stunning and felt so perfect for our day. It looked like a dream and tasted just as amazing. At our tasting, every flavor was so good it was genuinely hard to choose just one. And as a last-minute addition, we ordered custom floral cupcakes for our rehearsal dinner, which were both gorgeous and delicious. We couldn’t be happier with everything Sugareuphoria created for us!

Stopped in to check out the spot after hearing about it on social media. It’s a cute little spot nestled behind trees that you’ll miss if you’re not looking for it. This place is the sugar lovers dream. So many different goodies. I got a red velvet cupcake and a peach cobbler cookie sandwich for my son. I am dairy free and while they didn’t have anything out for me she did share that she does custom orders but that the dairy free and gluten free didn’t sell fast enough and freshness is a priority. I totally respect that. My son loved his treats.

We were celebrating our 5th anniversary and wanted a small anniversary cake with the same flavor profile as our wedding cake. The owner was very accommodating and even fit our cake into her busy schedule. The cake was not only beautiful, but absolutely delicious!! Ordered a cake for my husband’s birthday and it was spectacular! I highly recommend the chocolate cake with caramel filling. The flavors were fantastic and the buttercream was not overly sweet! She did a beautiful job decorating it as I requested, communication was easy, and friendly service as well. Happy to be a new customer!

We worked with Sugar Euphoria for our wedding cake and are so grateful we did! My vision was to have a cake that matched the appliques of my wedding dress. The team nailed it and the cake was delicious! I keep dreaming about how tasty our cake was and I am excited to go back for our anniversary. Ruth's cakes are visually magnificent and the best tasting I've ever tried. My mother and I had a really lovely time meeting Ruth on short notice before my wedding to taste some samples, and she was incredibly helpful with the planning process. Ruth is an incredible artist, as well as a lovely and professional person. The flowers on my wedding cake looked so realistic, and the colors matched my wedding flowers and cake topper perfectly. The leftover cake from the wedding was devoured by my family and I the next day. All three of the different flavored tiers were fantastic, and the vanilla meringue buttercream on all of them was the bomb. The texture and the buttery flavor of the coconut cake was amazing, especially with the lemon curd filling, and the devil's food cake with raspberry butter filling was so moist, flavorful, and delicious. The vanilla cake with strawberry butter filling was so good that there was none left for me to try. You can really taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients, and the flavors are very classic yet sophisticated.

I had reached out to so many bakeries asking if they would do a cake tasting experience for our anniversary because we got married during COVID and didn’t have a chance to have one, we got turned away every time. But, Ruth was so excited to do this for us! She made it very special and had glasses of champagne for us. Her consult was so much fun! The cakes we tried were amazing, visually and in taste! We even ordered one for my husband’s birthday to look exactly like the cake we tried. Ruth was so accommodating and generous that she even tried to use our tip as part of our order payment! We are very grateful that she allowed us to check this experience off of our wedding list and will definitely be back when we need another cake.

Such a fun atmosphere! We had lunch and the food was pretty good. I had a BLT that was nice. To be honest, the real reason I went there was to take home a couple of pieces of cake. Just took a couple of bites so I could let you know... They are phenomenal. I got the seasonal patty (which was a berry layer cake) and the chocolate raspberry. I gotta go now so I can finish off those cakes Lol!

Hands down absolutely our favorite restaurant of all time! We lived in Raleigh from 2000 to 2010 and we tried a lot of restaurants. This 1940’s throwback dinner quickly became our go to date spot. Classic American dishes that are done to perfection and outstanding dessert options you cannot pass up. We recently had the opportunity to visit Raleigh after 15 years of being gone and to our greatest delight Hayes Barton was still open and just the same as it was when we first went there. This is a hidden gem that will take you back in time with comfort food and a cozy atmosphere. Don’t miss out! Be sure to make reservations (parties of 4 or more).

We were a little late but they were still accommodating in letting us keep our table for 6 people. Visiting from NJ, so my family is accustomed to having different cuisines that are cooked just right. We started off with crab dip, it was delicious. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to take a picture because it didn’t last long at our table, but the pieces of crab meat were huge. The portions for all of our meals were huge, so the price is worth it. Everything was seasoned well and all of our meat was cooked throughly without being dried out. Our server was very kind and patient with us, as we had some picky eaters(children). He made sure we were content with our meals, and continued to check on us throughout our dinner there.

The cakes are incredible! They have the best lemon cake in Raleigh in my opinion (their lemon blueberry cake). You can walk in and order cake slices to go from the cake display counter. You can also order full cakes in advance but they are huge, so you'll need several friends to help you finish it! The food was good as well - highlights that we tried were the meatloaf and the crab dip. We plan to go back to try more of their food menu (and more cake). Back to the cakes - lemon blueberry is my top choice and the chocolate peanut butter mouse pie is a close second!

This is historic Raleigh! They have the best cake around. The hardest part is choosing which cake to have during your visit. I would go with the staff's recommendation. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

As a table of five with varies ages and dietary needs we were all very pleased with the food and amazing service from Mary. The food came out at a good pace and the dishes are well presented with great portion sizes. We were all stuffed but bathed our way through as much dessert as we could. A phenomenal array of exquisite cakes, pies and puddings. We did not win the battle but the remaining delights were boxed up all labelled and brought back for to continue the culinary treat at home.

This year at Mother's Day lunch, we had two guys celebrating their birthday. Mom asked me about getting a cake or cupcakes. As soon as I landed in Raleigh at the airport, I googled cupcakes to see what locations popped up and there was Gigi's. I was hungry and wanted lunch, but wanted to make sure I got my cupcakes before they were slim pickings. I got 6 red velvet and 6 salted caramel for lunch. Everyone lived them! I got myself a cheesecake cupcake for dessert that night and for lunch a peanut butter. Oh my goodness, were they so rich and delicious! They put them in nice boxes with plastic inserts that hold the cupcakes good. They even heald them for me in the fridge while I went for food. I do love the idea of each person having their own serving, it's just hard to figure out what to get cause there are so many delicious options to choose from. The price per seems high, but if you were going to have a nice cake made, it would run about the same. Great place for gourmet cupcakes.

Picked up some gluten-free cupcakes tonight and my strawberry gluten-free cupcake wasn't even cooked in the middle! Very poor quality. The chocolate cupcakes I purchased barely had any icing on them. I will not be going there again. Very poor quality indeed.

Gigi’s Cupcakes at Brier Creek in Raleigh is hands down the best cupcake spot I’ve ever been to! The cupcakes were absolutely incredible—moist, flavorful, and beautifully decorated. Every bite was perfect. The service was excellent too. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, especially the young man at the register—he was very polite, professional, and made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a Gigi’s. When I went in to pick up a couple of cupcakes for a friend’s birthday. The young man working the counter the day I visited could not be bothered to share any information about cupcake flavors. He said he didn’t eat anything there and couldn’t talk about the cupcakes. He had a very nonchalant attitude - borderline rude and dismissive. It was a very disappointing experience. Gigi’s had been one of my favorite places to go for a treat. Unfortunately, the service I received was so poor, I will not be back to the Brier Creek location. Try your luck at one of the local bakeries instead of this Gigi’s. In my experience, the cupcakes are good - but not good enough to tolerate poor customer service. EDIT: After receiving a very prompt response from the business, I’m removing the identifying information about the employee who served us. I only included it in the initial post because I wanted to make sure if the issue is addressed, they talked to the correct employee. Now that I know they’ve seen it, it’s best to remove that information. I hope they’ll take the appropriate action to stress the importance of customer service, so no one else has a disappointing experience. I thank them very much for their reply and hope to try the business again sometime in the future. If I decide to visit again and there’s improvement, I will share that update with all of you.

I’m not from North Carolina I was visiting from Los Angeles California. My partner wanted to go and get some cupcakes and I said sure. The shop was very cute though the atmosphere wasn’t too inviting. We picked out four cupcakes and they were pretty good. There was a nice variety available. The icing was perfect. The cupcakes were a little dry but was okay. He ate both of his so it’s safe to say that he enjoyed them. He actually wanted the birthday surprise but the lady who checked us out gave him cotton candy by accident. After reading the reviews I wonder what were the cupcakes like before? Needless to say I wouldn’t mind coming back.

I have visited this store several times now, and I must say that my experience has been consistently pleasant. Their cupcakes are fresh, moist, and delicious. Today, I actually stopped in to grab one I tried on my first visit a while back, and they had one left in the display. However, when I mentioned buying it, the woman who was there suggested that I do not get it since it did not look freshly baked and seemed dry. The fact that she even said that versus allowing me to go with it spoke volumes for me. That moment communicated to me that, for her, it was about the product being well and not just taking my money. I have seen this woman before, and I get the impression that she may be the owner or manager. She is consistently pleasant and obviously takes pride in her baked goods. If you want a dessert for a special event or just because, try them out. Delicious products and great customer service ❤️

Decided to take the family out for ice cream. Nice little spot with a decent parking lot. Kinda busy but it was Saturday night. The staff was friendly and seemed to enjoy their job. They take all kinds of payment options including cash. We spent an average of $10 per person. I got a flight and sampled 6 flavors. The Blueberry Hibiscus was the winner with Lemon Cookie dough close second, then peanut butter cookie dough. Really creamy ice cream with loads of flavor but somehow not too sweet. They're a small family business so I was happy to support them. If you like ice cream give them a try.

Delicious local ice cream tasted super rich and creamy. They have "guest" flavors each month and this month they were inspired by cereal. Don't eat corporate ice cream when you can have this instead!

First time here. The staff were very friendly. Tried a scoop of the double folded Vanilla and a scoop of the classic chocolate. As an ice cream lover, both flavors tasted just okay to me.

This place has great staff who offer samples to every customer. They have a rotating flavor menu so there’s always something new. They have lovely outdoor seating. There is usually a line but it goes quickly. Unfortunately the ice cream itself is not very good. On the multiple occasions I’ve been here, I’ve only liked my ice cream once. I often find the flavors to be bland. Or they are trying new combinations of flavors that really don’t work. Sadly I will not be coming back because the ice cream is so disappointing.

Not so great compared to other ice cream places that I have visited. May be around 10-15 flavors but you don’t have tasting because of which you just need to go by name. Tried roasted strawberry honey but not much of flavors. Chocolate was good. Store has flavors when you enter it. Good for the price though but location and selections wise there are many other better places.

I got a book themed cake for my best friend's bachelorette weekend and it came out amazing. Everyone was so impressed and surprised! Made for a very fun treat for the girls.

I was desperately late on ordering a cake for our son’s second birthday party and Sweet Cakes was so nice and accommodating fitting us in their schedule. They were super easy to work with and made custom ordering a cake simple. Everyone loved the cake and it was so cute and exactly what I had in mind.

Very very nice place. The food is amazing and the desserts are to die for. The staff is very friendly and helps you with picking out your food if you’re unsure of what to get. I love this food because it’s filling but not heavy on the stomach and most importantly it’s healthy. I would highly recommend this place for some good Mediterranean food.

Coming here for the first time was a little confusing/overwhelming. There’s loads to try in the menu and when I went to order a few different items to try, the associate asked if I wanted to do a pick three or four. While that seems straightforward, I had to ask for clarification on what items qualified for that and if certain things (like dolamades) were one item or two. Overall, I feel like a little more consideration on explaining how that worked might have led me to having a better experience. The food I got was a little plain and not what I’m used to experiencing at an authentic restaurant. The dolamades were lacking in flavor and the falafel was overcooked on the outside, but okay on the inside, albeit a little bland. However, my husband was happy with his food. It’s an out of the way place, but loads of seating inside and out. Pets are allowed on the patio and it seemed to attract regulars. I just wish my experience had been a little better.

A little crowded but that’s always a good sign in my eyes! It’s off the main road so it has to stick out if it’s hard to get a table! We sat outside. It was a beautiful day! The food was good! I ordered some of the highlighted menu items and the prices were very reasonable! It took me a minute to figure out how to order. It wasn’t the best thing I’ve ever had but it was solid! I’d definitely go back!

Staying at the Fairgrounds for the week, I searched what was nearby. The menu sounded right up my alley so I stopped by to get lunch to go. But the patio atmosphere was so inviting that I decided to stay to eat. You order at the counter, where all the sides and desserts are easy to look over. They give you a number and you then take it to the cashier to pay. My food came out before I even had time to finish paying! I enjoyed the falafel pita platter with 2 sides. My lunch was super fresh and tasty. They even give you a little square of baklava to finish your meal off. But I had to try the Coconut Mousse cake and the Apple Walnut cake. Both were light as a cloud in my mouth. As is typical of food of this region, it was just barely sweet. The Coconut Mousse cake was a 10 of 10 with the bits of pineapple inside. I'll definitely put Neomonde on my list for next year when I come back through! P.S. I had no idea that pomegranates could be grown in this climate, but this tree in their parking lot doesn't lie!

We discovered this restaurant through Google Maps and decided to give it a try for our very first meal in North Carolina—and it turned out to be the perfect choice! The baba ghanouj was smooth and tasty with just the right balance, while the falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—exactly how falafel should be. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and you can really taste the quality ingredients. Beyond the food, the vibe of the restaurant added to the overall experience. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a relaxed meal, whether you’re with friends, family, or just stopping in for a quick bite. We left feeling full, happy, and excited to return on our next trip. If you’re looking for flavorful Mediterranean food with a friendly atmosphere, this spot is absolutely worth visiting. It was a little confusing for me to order, but I guess I should have asked more questions. The food, the portions and the price were very good. Loved the atmosphere and the food was delicious, I loved the cilantro jalapeño hummus.

This was a good middle eastern restaurant, Lebanese and Turkish mostly. Food was very good but service was confusing to be honest. Seems a little disorganized. I recommend trying it out to get the cultural cuisine experience.

We show up with our ideas and their amazing Bakers always bring it to life. This year our daughter wanted a Jellycat cake. The cake was not only absolutely adorable but was incredibly delicious. The staff at The Cupcake Shoppe met every expectation and executed every detail to ensure the vision for the cake was nothing short of exceptional. There’s nothing like asking for something but it comes out completely different. That wasn’t the case here. The Cupcake Shoppe exceeded my expectations, yet again! I had less than 2 weeks to plan a surprise 70th birthday for my mom. My brother and I came across her page during our search and we contacted Sara via email. She responded immediately and was so kind and easy to communicate with. Planning this with her was so smooth and she knew all the things to help you with your event. Overall planning a party from another state as we no longer lived in Raleigh was difficult but Sara made it easy. The cupcakes at the party were a hit and my mom loved them and the flavors. They were perfect to ensure the guests had their portions. They are great quality cupcakes without being overly priced. Also for a party like ours it was perfect the cupcakes did not require to be refrigerated but were good for room temperature. That was just right for us. I did not go to the shop physically as I had another sibling go and pick up and try the place prior to. However she said it was cute and a quaint little place. Sara answered all my questions promptly and kept in communication with me. I would highly recommend to anyone interested in getting cupcakes for an event.

I ordered cupcakes for my baby shower gender reveal. They were Starbucks Drink themed and they were perfect!!!! Everyone thought they were the cutest cupcakes ever and this store was super easy to work with. I had a few late RSVP’s and had to add extra cupcakes and they were super accommodating! 10/10 recommend!

Our son has an egg allergy so it’s hard to find bakeries that can make cakes and cupcakes that look and taste like regular cakes, but this team hit it out of the park. The Cupcake Shoppe did an amazing job creating a 42nd Street Oyster Bar themed Groom’s Cake for our rehearsal dinner! The entire process from setting up a time to taste and talk through design to seeing the cake delivered without worry was such an easy process! The cake was delivered on time and without worry. The team was so helpful in taking our idea and making it a reality! Everyone thought the crab legs were real! The cake tasted just as amazing as it tasted! We will certainly be back with our future cake orders!

I ordered some cupcakes this past weekend for a gender reveal, and unfortunately, these didn't exactly deliver. The cupcakes were misshapened, and you can somewhat see the color of the gender underneath the white icing. Thankfully, we tried not to peak in there before the actual reveal, but everyone pointed out they could see the hidden color before even biting into it

Always love this place! Went here for the last time today and ordered the BLT and pastries. All of them were so good! So sad that tomorrow will be the last day that this place will be open. I hope that the owners will consider opening again soon!

You are in a industrial, modern bakery with the sweet smell of fresh bread, treats lining the air. You walk up to the counter, awe struck at the selection of this bussling business. This is no dream, this is Night Kitchen. While waiting on a friend I popped my head in, and was blown away. Clean, Fast, Genuinely Friendly, and a way to make a wait worth the while. I will be back, you should stop in. I recommend the Double Baked Almond Croissant.

I love everything about Night Kitchen. It's a real cozy environment, it always smells good, and it's kid friendly. The staff is super nice. I've never had any treats from there that I didn't care for. My favorite thing is a salted bagel with their real butter. When I want to treat myself I get a bread pudding or a macaron. The coffee is really good too and there's always more than one choice.

I always love this place. They have the BEST chocolate chip cookies on the planet and their croissants are delicious! I'm picky about both of those items and this place delivers. The chocolate chip cookies are never burned or hard and th croissants are fluffy and flaky. So often I go into other bakeries and their items look burned to me. I'm also a big fan of their BLT. They don't skimp on ingredients and their sourdough its see served on is perfect. They have wonderful selection of herbal teas and are happy to do any of their hot teas over ice if you'd like (just have to wait for them to steep). Staff is always friendly and patient, smiles on everyone.

Our absolute go-to place for sweet treats and a relaxing atmosphere. We recently tried the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Tart, and the Guava Puff Pastry—both were exceptional! My brother-in-law stops by almost every other week just for their coffee, which says a lot about how consistent and welcoming this place is. Whether you're in the mood for an elegant dessert, a cozy coffee outing, or just want to soak in the gorgeous interiors, Asali never disappoints. Highly recommend for locals and visitors alike!

I recently visited Asali Café and really enjoyed the experience. Parking was free around the area, which is always a plus. The café itself is small, but there’s outdoor seating available. It was full inside when I went, so we sat outside, and it was still comfortable. The service was amazing—friendly and welcoming. They have a lot of dessert options, which looked so good. I tried the Turkish coffee, and honestly, it’s one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. The prices are very reasonable for both the drinks and desserts. I’ll definitely be going back, especially for the Turkish coffee, and next time I’ll make sure to try some of their desserts too.

I've been visiting Asali for 6 years and the place only gets better with time. Their shop is incredibly clean, offers a huge selection of cakes, pastries, and treats, and I've never had anything that was less than fresh. Everyone is always very kind, and they even have a rewards program that lets you earn free goodies. I highly suggest Asali for high end catering as well as for stopping by just to treat yourself or grab a coffee.

Came here with friends and our eyes were delighted by the sweets. We didn’t know what to pick with so many choices. Unfortunately our eyes were deceived. The scone and coffee cake were dry which is why I rated this a 1star there The carrot cake was better because there was frosting. The coffee was good. The staff was friendly and atmosphere was crowded on a Saturday. I spent $25 on two coffees and three desserts.

I just stopped by them on the way. The store is really pretty I had the following: - Almond raspberry cake - Hazelnut cheesecake mousse - Latte PLEASE DO NOT GET THESE. I did not like the cherry syrup in the cake. The latte was just ok. They may have something else please do try other items. I did not end up finishing the items because of the taste.

I love Asali! It’s one of my favorite spots. The ambience, the cleanliness, the kind and caring customer service as well as the food. I’ve been going there for the past 5 years and always enjoyed it. I love their coffee and the raspberry bar. Of course there are so many other choices like the lavender cheesecake, chocoflan, chocolate mousse and …..!

Came here early in the morning as soon as they opened! Wonderful atmosphere and polite service. The food and coffee were amazing! Very clean and welcoming environment. 10/10 experience overall!

Excellent atmosphere, great tunes, lovely decorations and wonderful staff. My husband got the Cuban (look at that cheese pull!) and I got the Union Egg sandwich. I highly recommend the Chow Chow aioli as a substitute or on the side. We shared an order of fresh sourdough with sorghum butter and it was absolutely delightful, so crunchy. I especially loved the butter and had quite a bit to take home. I also highly recommend one of the sodas from a local NC company, Bingo-Bango. The strawberry lemonade was sweet, lightly tart and very refreshing. Great experience all around. I recommend coming as early in the day as possible to sample more of their delicious baked goods.

Cool, hip bakery. Located at 440 and capital. Food is good not special. Other bakeries excel at desert bakery items. This places seems to focus on Sandwiches. Very diverse gathering spot makes it neat. Relatively quiet spot unless the work from restaurant folks are here. My hubby loved his turkey sandwich. I think my croissant from Lidil was just as good and tasty. You can definitely zone out here for a while if you’re seeking Down time.

Very good food, very bad attitude. The service was so cold it ruined what I’d hoped would be my new go-to bakery. On two visits—one near closing, one early morning—the staff was curt and unwelcoming. The croissant was ethereal, the sourdough solid, and everything else fresh and well prepared (though the salad I ordered "with no meat, please" arrived with chicken). Immaculately clean, but the atmosphere matched the service: chilly. I’ll try the other coffee shops at Gateway Plaza instead.

Coffee, atmosphere, and pastries are all excellent but I’m not a fan of the menu changes over the years. Miss the collard greens and grits. Don’t like that bacon is default on the hash and is in almost everything else. I’m not even vegetarian but there’s nothing on the menu I can eat without substitutions now (pork allergy, GF). Also the $4 upcharge to sub a tiny side of home fries for the salad or chips feels absurd. Maybe y’all could improve margins by making bacon the add-on instead.

Drove down today from the Wake Forest area to ease a breakfast sandwich craving. Ordered The Union Egg Sandwich. The egg was perfect, the brioche nicely steamed, the right amount of cheese, hash brown was crunchy. Got some bread and a pastry to go. Nice space to sit for lunch. Will be back 10/10.

The storefront was clean and we'll lit. You can tell this a popular local spot and people don't mind waiting for freshly made bread and food items. I came here once before when I was in town for work and wanted to try them again and they landed another hit! The Chopped Cheesesteak meets Chip Butty was wonderful (I would have loved a bit more flavor from the meat though)!! Great portion size, and the side salad with champagne vinaigrette was refreshing.

This place is a vibe! Great sandwiches on fresh bread. Friendly staff with great taste in music. Plenty of outdoor seating. We stopped in during our bike ride for lunch. Highly recommend!

Sent inspiration photos and a character from "Lilo and Stitch" that my friend would like for her cake, and asked them to take creative liberties of whatever they think would match the general vibe of what I showed. Irene creates the most magical cakes and made all of my dreams come true for my 30th birthday party!! She was super responsive and helpful during the entire process. She helped me design the cake exactly how I wanted it and also added her creative touch! I had a wonderful experience and my cake was better than anything I could have imagined. I chose the lemon berry flavor and it was the perfect amount of sweetness and maintained its moisture. I had to travel 2.5 hours with my cake and it arrived completely intact without any issues. I got a custom storm trooper cake made for my husbands 30th birthday. I was able to create my own flavor of a chocolate cake with mocha frosting, layered with almond cake soaked in coffee syrup. Not only was the cake delicious, she took my idea and tuned into a 3D masterpiece! Amazing work!

Artylishous cakes made the most special first birthday cake for my son. I gave her an idea of what I wanted and she made it come to life. A memory we will cherish forever. Excellent wings and fries! They've been around forever, formerly 'Em R Wings, same recipes. Great outdoor tables with umbrellas. Dog-friendly.

This is a very unassuming place hidden right in the corner. The staff was freindly and there's adequate seating. While I did not partake, the bar was fairly big and I could see myself sitting there at some point, given the right conditions. I went with the boneless wings, and tried a few appetizers. The Ultimate Nachos were great, so great the chips kept crumbling in my hands. I did have the bust out the fork, but it was very delicious; would recommend. The egg rolls were more of a mixed bag. The actual outside was really crispy and tasty, but the inside was just kind of bland. They didn't have the buffalo chicken ones, so maybe those are better, but the Italian and reuben just weren't very good. Finally, the Boneless Wings were interesting. These are some of the biggest wings I've had with a lot of meat on them. Definitely worth the price. The breading was okay and the flavor was good for the Mango Habanero and the Honey Sriracha, but I really have to wonder what exactly the Shearon Harris was supposed to be. It was supposed to be spicy, but it just tasted overly salty and peppery. I did not finish my Shearon Harris wings. The wing sauce for all my wings was also a little watery. It had a hard time sticking to the admittedly tasty chicken. Overall I enjoyed my time here and would recommend it if you are looking for good wings. I'm willing to try out more of thier menu, so that's got to be a good sign.

Always ordered Apex wings for their wings; pretty good; however, not sure what happened this time around. The wings come with celery- looked old with spots of brownish/yellow; my son immediately spit it out. Tried their veggie quesadilla and was very very disappointed. It was super greasy, lettuce looked also old- brownish/yellow. Ended up having to throw out the quesadilla- wasted money. If I go back, will have to stick solely with their wings. Hope they can fix this!

First time here sitting at the bar on a Saturday evening. We would have never thought to come here because of its location. A friend of ours recommend this place and we gave it a try, I'm glad we did! Well seasoned huge portions of boneless wings at a very very reasonable price. The bone in wings sides are also huge at the same reasonable price point. This place is bigger than it looks from the outside and is family friendly with friendly staff. Our total bill was $43 plus tip. This included six boneless plus a side, six bone in plus a side, a soda, two beers and an "old fashioned". We definitely will be back.

I have already ordered three times for both home delivery and pickup. In terms of flavor and crunchiness, I’d say they’re the best in Apex. The only thing I’d improve is the amount of extra sauce they put on the wings—it’s a bit excessive, and I’ve had to wipe some off with napkins. Other than that, I highly recommend them!

I really love this place. It's such a lovely wholesome concept. The owner hosts a full blast kitchen that local bakers and small baking companies can make use of and sell their own treats and individual display cases unique to each baker. The treats have something for everyone. There's always a gluten-free case. There's always delightful cake and unique pastries. This chocolate cheesecakes stuffed chocolate glazed donut with a cracked chocolate cookie on top is one of the best pastries I've ever had...and I've eaten a LOT of pastries...across four continents...and did a baking class in France. The drinks are delightful and come with such unique, seasonal twists like fruity pebbles latte and vanilla rose chai latte, witches brew iced drink, and monster mash.

Cool little bakery- My daughter wanted to try some macaroons for the first time and we decided on this place for the location- These were lovely light and airy macaroons and full of flavor! Little Blue Bakehouse is hands-down one of the best spots in Raleigh. The vibe is cozy, the people are super friendly (especially the owner- Allison!) and the treats are out of this world. Their peanut butter bars are unreal — rich, perfectly balanced, and honestly addictive. I’ve gone back more than once just for those. Definitely a go-to spot if you’re anywhere near downtown!

We recently visited this bakery and ordered a drink and a brownie. The shop was quiet, with no other customers present at the time. After placing our order, the drink was prepared and placed at the pickup area, but there was no notification or call-out to let us know it was ready. We only realized it was available after some time had passed. While waiting at the pickup area for the brownie, we noticed the server was occupied with her phone and wearing headphones. When we inquired about our order, she simply pointed to a different spot where the brownie had been placed. Clear communication about when and where orders are ready is a basic expectation for any takeout experience. Although we had planned to sit and enjoy our treats, this experience made us reconsider. On a positive note, both the brownie and the drink were great. However, the service could benefit from more attention and courtesy.

Manon is such a wonderful baker and so friendly. She baked my daughter’s wedding cake a couple of years ago and now has done her baby shower cake. We will continue to use her for the milestones to come. Her cakes are absolutely beautiful and delicious!!!

Went to pick up my partner's birthday cake, which we always preorder here because it's the best cake in Raleigh. While there, I saw their limited time Lemon Blueberry Cookies, and had to get some. I'd love to show you a photo of those, but alas, they did not last long enough. Dear readers, those cookies were phenomenal. Soft and moist, not too sweet, filled with lemon flavor and dried blueberries. One bite of those cookies fills your soul with the sensation of summer - not the unbearably hot part, but the early warm summer sun cutting through the last dregs of winter over a field of wildflowers. Oh, the cake was amazing too. It also didn't survive long enough for photos.

I have been a customer a few times at this point and they have been great! I ordered cupcakes and a cookie cake for my daughter's 5th birthday party and everything was fantastic (no crumbs left!). Friendly staff, delicious treats and a fair price. No complaints.

Okay, so it's been four whole years since our wedding, but honestly, the memories of the food and service are still crystal clear – and still make our mouths water! We seriously hit the jackpot with Catering Works. They absolutely crushed it and made our big day even more perfect. Let's talk about the food first – it was beyond perfect. We had 4 passed horderves during cocktail hour, all delicious, especially the duck corn cake. A server came out to us and our bridal party with a tray for us to nibble (plus our signature cocktails) while we took photos, which was truly appreciated because we never had time to eat until then. Each dinner dish/side was a winner. Like, truly restaurant-quality. Being a Maryland girl, I'm always hypercritical of crab cakes outside of Maryland 😂, but I was truly impressed that I could have a high quality crab cake away from my roots on my wedding day. Our guests still bring up how amazing the meal was, and honestly, so do we! It wasn't just "wedding food," that has become typical at weddings. Desserts and cake? Oh. My. Goodness. They looked incredible, but tasted even better! We had a two tier cake and a mini dessert bar so we could have a variety. We had gluten free chocolate cookies (my favorite), fruit tarts, macarons, caramel bites, strawberry shortcake (husband’s favorite); seriously, all the sweets were absolutely top notch. Beyond the deliciousness, the service was just phenomenal. The team was super professional, always there when you needed them, and genuinely nice. They built a plate for us so we could mingle with our guests and came back to a much needed meal. They handled everything so smoothly with my dad's alpha gal allergy and we didn't have to lift a finger. That meant we could actually relax and soak up every moment of our wedding day, which was priceless. The most meaningful part was the end of the night before we left our venue (The Meadows at Firefly Farm, highly recommend 😍) was the gift basket we were given full of a variety of desserts from our dessert bar, and slices of our wedding cake because we never had time to eat dessert AND a bottle of champagne. Talk about a personal touch, we were so impressed and felt truly cared for. It's pretty rare for something to leave such a strong, memorable mark after so long, but our caterer totally did. We still rave about them. If you're planning a wedding and want food that'll be talked about for years, desserts that are divine, and service that's absolutely flawless, Catering Works is where it's at. They made our wedding day foodie dreams perfect, and we're forever grateful!

Catering Works is THE standout for everything I adore! They are a local company who’ve grown from two sister’s cooking in a small kitchen to the top caterer in our area. With good reason. They put their heart and soul into each and every event making an unforgettable experience for their customers and guests. It’s obvious by the empty plates and glasses and smiling faces. Their attention to detail, creative concepts, super friendly and professional staff and eye popping, delicious made-from-scratch dishes are unmatched. It was important to give them love because they’ve given us so much over the decades. If you need a caterer for any event, small or extravagant, Catering Works should be your first call! Catering Works was amazing for our wedding! From start to finish, Kelli was amazing to work with- we asked to see so many different sample menus and pricing options and she was responsive and had a great attitude. She worked directly with our vendors to make sure everything would go smoothly. On the wedding day itself- I couldn't speak higher of the service and the food. A staff member brought us our own plate of hors d'oeuvres and drinks to the bridal suite during cocktail hour and checked on us several times to see if we needed anything else. All of the food was so good - even heated up the next day. We got so many compliments! They sent us home with to-go boxes of food, cake, as well as extra treats and goodies like champagne, candy, and popcorn. I could not recommend them enough!

BEST EXPERIENCE, WE LOVE IT! Le Macaron is a delightful Parisian-inspired bakery that truly lives up to its name. Their macarons are simply divine, with a perfect balance of crisp exterior and soft, flavorful interior. The range of flavors is impressive, from classic chocolate and vanilla to more adventurous options like pistachio and salted caramel. Beyond their signature macarons, Le Macaron offers a variety of other delectable treats. Their pastries are flaky and buttery, and their chocolates are rich and decadent. The ambiance of the store is charming, with elegant displays and a cozy seating area. Whether you're a macaron connoisseur or simply looking for a sweet treat, Le Macaron is definitely worth a visit.

The macarons are pretty good compared to what I had in Paris. I have been back many times. The service is fine, nothing out of the ordinary.

So we only popped in for a quick look, but we purchased some Macaron's and other goodies. The Macarons were so delicious, they had just the right amount of sweetness, but still good flavour. We spoke to the owner andcshe was so friendly!! She is a trained nutrionist! They also have house made gelato!! The hardest decision is what to have a next.

When I heard of "Le Macaron", the first thing that came to mind was, are their macarons as good as the ones I had in Paris last summer? I'm so glad I found this place because I've been craving French macarons. I can now enjoy authentic ones that taste just like the ones you eat in Paris. Kudos to the owner for bringing a taste of France to Raleigh and for giving us the opportunity to try real French pastries. Their coffee tastes amazing as well, they use the Lavazza brand and it has always been a favorite in my household. I want to try their Gelato next time because it looks sooo good. This is a luxurious cafe with amazing staff, service and products! Everything we tasted was delicious! They have the best macarons but they also have other great items. The espresso is the best I’ve had in a long time. My friend tried the hot chocolate and it was so good! It is made Parisian style. They also offer gelato in several flavors. We will keep coming back to this one of a kind corner and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic European treats!

Was excited to visit this bakery but disappointed. Baguette was not fresh. 2 eclairs (chocolate, pistachio) were hard with little filling. The eclairs were put into a paper bag so smashed together when I got home. Maybe an off day but for $16 will not return.

We truly underestimated how delicious our cake would be. My now husband and I go to weddings and usually avoid the cake like the plague. We assumed everyone thought the same way we did so we got a modest 2 layer "naked" cake. Working with Simply Cakes was so easy. I went into the tasting completely unsure of what I wanted for my wedding cake, and came out feeling really good about it. All the flavors of cakes we tasted were so delicious and had a hard time choosing, so we went with cake and cupcakes too! I do not have a sweet tooth at all, but this is some of the best cake I have ever eaten. All the guests I have talked to after the wedding, have mentioned how great the cake was as well! I wanted a simplistic but elegant design and they made me just that! I was even able to use fresh flowers from my decorations on the cake for a nice touch. I literally loved everything about the cake! I would definitely recommend Simply Cakes to anyone and everyone!

We just got married and Simply Cakes made our cake. We absolutely loved it! Simply Cakes was very easy to work with. The whole planning process went very smoothly. The cake was beautiful and it tasted amazing! Best wedding cake I've ever eaten. They were very well organized in getting the cake to the venue, which made it very low stress for us! We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a cake!

Sabrina is an amazing baker. We tasted at 5 different places and the winner was so clear. Her cakes are moist and delicious, her icing is perfect, and the ratio is excellent. We had a 5-tier 3-flavored wedding cake and guests raved about it. The value of Simply Cakes is excellent, too. For a comparable cake from some of the other bakeries, we were looking at 10-20% more cost. The cake was gorgeous and exactly what we asked for. Sabrina even worked with our florist to get some fresh flowers that she placed on the cake herself when she delivered it to our venue. Highly recommend using Simply Cakes for whatever you need.

Simply Cakes made the most perfect wedding cake and cupcakes that were as delicious as they were beautiful! I couldn’t decide on just one flavor so Sabrina helped me pick out 4 amazing flavors! My parents and I enjoyed the tasting so much and we knew right away this was our place! Everything from the initial tasting, emailing details, and the final product on the big day went perfectly! Delicious cakes! Sabrina is a talented baker, and she offers an impressive range of flavors for wedding cakes. Everything I tried was tasty (even the flavors that I normally don't go for), and the buttercream she uses to cover the cakes was great. My wedding cake last year was lovely, delivery was easy, and everyone enjoyed the 3 flavors we chose. The frosting bowed out a bit over time, but I think that has more to do with the hot day than anything the bakery could have done. And we just picked up our anniversary cake--the fig, rum, and honey cake was just as we remembered!

Joan and the Crepe Cakerie are amazing to work with! Love that Joan is local and full of wonderful knowledge with all things crepes. Her crepes are absolutely delicious! My husband and I recently got married in February 2021, and had the absolute pleasure of working with Joan from The Crepe Cakerie for our wedding baking needs! When we originally consulted with Joan (who was so incredibly flexible during the pandemic), we knew we wanted something different from the classic wedding cake. She walked us through her process of how she makes and thoughtfully curates the design of her crepe cakes for each wedding, and we instantly fell in love with her style! She arranged several seasonal flavors for us to try at a (COVID-friendly) outdoor tasting, and we opted on a two-tier crepe cake with lavender lemon filling in one layer, and raspberry filling in the second. Her crepe cakes are so light and delicate and the fillings are SO FRESH (she even incorporates herbal and floral elements from her garden)! We also ordered individually wrapped dessert minis for our guests to enjoy that included salted caramel pecan brownies, lemon bars, and her unbeatable English toffee! We were so impressed the day of the wedding with our gorgeous dessert table that Joan beautifully arranged, and our guests raved about how delicious all of the treats were. We were so thrilled with our unique wedding cake, and would recommend Joan’s artistry to any bride and groom to be!

I ordered a crepe cake kit for a Valentine’s Day treat for my husband and I. Joan helped me select the perfect flavors and provided all of the fixings to dress up the cake. It was so special and beyond that… DELICIOUS! I can’t get enough of these crepe cakes. Not too sweet. Just perfect.

The Crepe Cakerie prepared a delicious and beautiful crepe cake for my daughter's wedding welcome dinner. It was the hit of the menu! It was so tasty and different from traditional cakes and desserts. A big plus - Joan is a lovely person and easy to work with.

What a wonderful experience! From day one I felt great planning my moms 60th birthday and having crafty layers create the cake. The experience was so personable and professional. I know nothing about cakes so in my consultation I learned quite a bit. Communication was always prompt and just a pleasure to work with not to mention many compliments on the cake and shooters! I first came to Crafty Layers with an idea for a flavor and a rough sketch of a 40th birthday cake design. Crafty Layers blew me away with how my vision came to life. Everyone at the party couldn’t stop talking about how great the cake looked and how impressed they were with the moistness and delightful flavors. I’ve been back to Crafty Layers multiple times for other holidays, and now I go for every day treats. Planning events can be stressful, but, trust me, you can put your worries aside and trust Crafty Layers to bring your idea to life and deliver ON TIME!!!

They made a cake for one of my friends birthday. It looked amazing and tasted better than it looked. I’m not a sweets person. I’m definitely going to keep her in mind for my next event. Great job!

Every time I go here I get a different experience of not so good food . I keep giving tries but this time it was my last time . I had the chicken bowl & the chicken had no flavor . It felt like I was just eating plain chicken bites . The corn and green beans were flavorful . My prices are extremely expensive for a small amount of food . I’m definitely disappointed with this company because with the price of the food it should have better quality. Let’s not talk about how expensive the cheesecake are . I want be back !!

It was my first time visiting The Cheesecake Factory in Raleigh. I called in the morning to make a reservation, and they told me to do it online. I tried several times and finally managed to make one. Then I called again to confirm and asked if we could change it from 6 people to 10. They said it was fine. We had the reservation for 11:00 AM, but unfortunately, we didn’t get seated until 12:15 PM — even though we booked in advance and called twice. That part was really disappointing and made me wonder why we even bothered making a reservation. Once we finally sat down, things got better. Our server was absolutely amazing — super friendly, attentive, and the best part of the whole experience. I asked him to surprise me with a non-alcoholic drink, and it was delicious! For my meal, I ordered the steak. It was okay — a bit dry for my taste, but the mashed potatoes were really good. The prices were on the higher side, especially with the gratuity already added to the bill. Parking was easy since there’s plenty of parking at the mall. Overall, the food was decent, service was excellent, but the long wait despite a reservation really affected the experience.

This was my first time at a Cheesecake Factory. I think it met, if not slightly exceeded my expectations for a chain restaurant. I typically eat healthier and wouldn't consider going to places like Applebee's, Chili's, etc -- but this is definitely better than any of those; not only more options, but made better. The variety of cheesecakes at the end is a nice finishing touch.

Massively overrated. I went with my family on a Thursday afternoon. It took 40 minutes to get our food. The restaurant was not even close to 30 percent capacity. Other guests ordered and ate before we got our food. The food cost twice as much as the same product at Chill's.Our order was mixed up. The salad was pitiful. Presentation was low effort. Silverware looked horrible with stains and water spots. The restaurant itself is showing its age. With walls, tables and splashing needing a deep cleaning. Staff was friendly and courteous. Very much overpriced. Sadly this is becoming a trend in Raleigh. There are much better options for this price.

The food was good. It wasn't the best this time around, but it could've been because it was busy. But also our waiter forgot about us a few times and seemed to have a bit of an attitude, but again, it could have been because it was a busy Saturday. Maybe it's different during the week. Nonetheless it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't the best experience either.

I went on a super-busy Sunday, so of course there was a wait. I found a seat at the bar, ordered a Raspberry Lemon Drop and bowl of Cream of Chicken soup. Forgot to take a pic of the soup because it came out wrong. But it was delicious once I finally received it. I also ordered a Chopped Salad with Ranch Dressing to go

There are these big plants in every corner that brush people’s entire bodies at elbow to neck level. If ya think that’s some new lettuce...The staff was super nice. It took about 20 mins after placing our order for it to come out, which I think is pretty quick. Unfortunately, I couldn’t eat the burger. It was raw. I tried really hard to eat it cause I’m not one to complain, but I could taste the texture of raw beef. Nope, Couldn’t eat that $17 burger.

Food: Great selection of food. Every thing I ordered was very satisfactory. I was extremely impressed with the steak. I ordered it to be cooked medium, and that is EXACTLY what I got. It was so tender and juicy. The Mashed Potatoes were also very delicious. I was expecting more chunks of crab in the dip and some chunks of lobster in the bisque, HOWEVER, they were both still very delicious. I packed up every last crumb, of everything that I didn't finish, in a to-go box, as it was all too good to just leave behind. Service: I have only been here once, but I'm willing to bet I got the BEST server they have in there. Adam (like the first man) had such a calming and friendly demeanor. He always let me know what to expect next, so as to never leave me wondering if he forgot about me or if i was going to have to flag him down for something (example: "Since you need time to think, I will put in your order for your appetizer, then I will return with both your appetizer & drink, and then I will take your order for your main entree"). Honestly best service I have had in a LONGGGGGG time. I made sure to tip accordingly to my AMAZING experience. Honestly, the food could've all been trash, and Adam's superior level of service would've made up for it all. My drink never went empty. I didn't have to tell him I needed extra lemon for my water, or a box for all the tiny leftovers, he just knew. Like we were linked telepathically or something. Seriously, find a way to recognize that man. Y'all have something that resembles perfection with his quality of service. Atmosphere: Decorations and ambiance were cute and relaxing. Not too much, not too little.

Food was very good, hot, fresh. Very pleasant atmosphere. I sat at the bar, drinks had enough alcohol not watered down. Bathrooms are very clean. Forget the baby bag? Don't worry diapers and wipes are in the bathroom. Doors in the bathroom are see out but not see in. Very clean bathrooms. Desserts are displayed to temp you!!! Give it a try you want be disappointed.

We were there on Valentine’s Day at 8pm and had great food, drinks and service! Our waitress had a great personality and kept us cracking up-sorry I forgot her name but she is from NYC and took this pic for us😭We may return for hubby’s birthday celebration next month again🤩🥳

Had a great Father’s Day brunch with friends and family. The service was exceptional. The environment was very family friendly. The food was excellent, and my adult beverage was top-tier.

This is my favorite place for getting birthday cakes. Whether it's for myself or anyone in my family. The staff here are always wonderful and the presentation is always top tier. The cakes no matter the flavor, no matter if it's a whole cake or a cake slice, it's always delicious. I don't need to look any further than them for my cakes.

We celebrated August birthdays on Aug 9. Oh what a horrible birthday celebration. There were 7 of us, we sat at a round table with plenty of room for walking around. Our server “H” was awful. He say things on the table right in front of him and we had to play shuffle board in getting to everyone. Drinks were incorrect. Did not pay attention to special directions. Empty plates just sat on the table while we waited for dessert. When dessert came, no silverware. When we asked about, he seemed annoyed. I guess we were to eat with our hands. Close to $400.00 later with gratuity that he DOD NOT earn added, we left graciously. I contacted the restaurant the next day, no response. I sent a second email, finally I get an email that read “is there something we can help you with” um, did you not read my email. Then no response so I called and spoke to a “manager”. Repeated my concerns and was told they would take my name and someone would call me back. Yep, one month later and still no response. McDonald’s would have given better service and/or response to this poor service. That is why the gratuity was added, you know service is not the greatest!!! Shame on you, you family owned business.

Been here a few times.. never left a review before.. but I had to this time around. Food was great.. Herb roasted chicken and the salmon both were absolutely delicious. Took the strawberry shortcake and banana pudding to go, they were great too. Our server was awesome.. He did an excellent job.. hopefully we get him again the next time around. Thanks again Jordan!

Cake is sooo good and moist! I’ve tried a few different one and today I got the sweet potato one.. Fire! Not overly sweet it was perfect and a good size slice as well! And the customer service (owner) is just as sweet as her cakes! Will be back soon

Some people may complain that this place is a To-Go Orders Only establishment or it lacks presentation and atmosphere or the business hours are short or the cake slices cost too much, but I feel some critics are missing the point of this small business. The focus is THE CAKES. This is smart entrepreneurial economics for a small, family-owned business. The quality of the product is the main focus because it is what will bring in the cash. The cakes sell themselves. Simple, yet brilliant. Are the cake slices worth $8 -$12 a piece? YES!!!!! Look at the competition located in the same complex. I’ve tried their cakes. Their cakes are small, probably the same weight, cost about the same but are FULL OF PRESERVATIVES! YUCK! 🤢 I tried ONE SLICE of Lemon Blueberry Explosion from Premier Cakes and didn’t even start my car to leave because I sat there and ATE THE WHOLE SLICE. It’s THAT GOOD!!!! The blueberries are tart and juicy. The cake is moist, flavorful and not too sweet. It was just right. I went back and got 3 more slices of different flavors. I met the owners and introduced myself to them. I noticed what type of ingredients and flour they use in the recipes and that alone speaks volumes to me as a cake lover. I absolutely ADORE homemade cakes! 😍 And not everyone can make good, moist, delicious, homemade cakes. Best of all, no preservatives and I can taste the difference! Thank you, Premier Cakes, for sharing your love of homemade cakes!

I stumbled upon this bakery while in the area and said, "Let me give them a try." The setup is not ideal... it's like a walk-up window thingy... we had to ring a bell for service. Also, they dont distribute eating utensils... which is ok if you plan on not eating your slice in the car. If you do... bring a fork... lol Now let's get to reviewing the cake slices: tiramisu 7/10 Carrot Cake 6/10 Strawberry Lemon 8/10 I think they are over priced by $2.00. Would I try them again?... probably... if they have a BOGO deal.... because $9 bucks for a slice is a bit high to me. The front window staff was super nice and conversational, which was a pleasure.

I discovered Premier Cakes several years ago while attending an event in Raleigh. I live in Charlotte, NC but continuously travel to Raleigh solely to purchase cakes! This is the ABSOLUTE BEST bakery in the world!!! I come from a family of great cooks and I have a very old soul! If you are looking for TRUE homemade desserts that are FULLY made from scratch - this is your place! I have traveled throughout America and to many places overseas as well, and yet nothing compares to Premier Cakes Bakery!! If I could give their cakes 50 stars I would absolutely do so!!!

We LOVVVVVE Premier Cakes and highly recommend. My favorite is the Old Fashioned Yellow Cake w/ chocolate icing and the Italian Cream Cake...it's the best in town. Their cakes are light and fluffy, which we like. I removed a star because their business hours are extremely confined and they are often sold out of our favorite slices by 3pm. Because of this, we try other flavors and they're just as good too.

First off, you can’t go wrong with cakes that don’t have preservatives or any of the fake crap, they’re all homemade. Second, I ordered two slices of the German Chocolate Cake and it was the best my partner and me had. We were absolutely astonished and will be coming back asap.

Slice starts st $9. All service is through a small drive through like window with a doorbell very odd. That started during the covid peak and never went back to normal service like other food locations. Overpriced but the cake is good, should be a few hucks less for what you get (size).
