I've been Shirahama 3 times, and I visit this restaurant 5 times more! I think here is one of top restaurant around this town. Me and my family tried almost menu that pizza, non cheese pizza, meat tomato cream pastas, bread, and so on. We never disappointed from every menu that we've tried. I can sure if I got the chance that just only one time to have meal in Shirahama, I will visit here. Oh, after reservation! Coz here is too hot place!

Very delicious pizza! We went during the Obon holidays so it was hard to get a seat but worth the wait. A nasty murder hornet came just as our food was delivered and made us jump out of our seats but that's no fault of the establishment. Great foodbik a great environment and we were happy the staff made the effort to squeeze us in despite how busy it was!

Lovely location across the road from the water. Casual dining with a range of Italian food. Friendly staff and reasonable prices.

We had mushroom pizza and seafood pasta, both are very delicious. The mushroom pizza with a twist of Japanese flavour and the pizza crust is thin and crispy. The pasta is perfectly cooked with the homemade sauce, it tasted refreshing. It’s chili to have such a comfort food with beautiful seaside. The staffs are friendly and the dining environment is western style and cozy. There are selling organic zucchini.

Better food than you will get in most places in Italy. Extremely cost-effective. Eat here instead of the tourist traps on the main beach. Make a reservation by calling at least a day before in Japanese. Salads are excellent, pizzas authentic, tasty and well-made. Pastas are Japanese-Italian style but very high quality at that. Espresso is alright by Italian standards. Desserts fall a bit short of supreme standards of the main dishes, but still easy 5 stars.

Had lunch here, ordered their Pescatore pasta and a nice local Nagisa beer. The pasta was so amazing made, great flavours and portion was generous, even with its seafood. Their local beer from Shirahama, was surprisingly good. I ordered the pale ale. All these for a lunch and the pricing is good value. Worth the try.

I'm Sri Lankan 🇱🇰 person. I highly recommend this restaurant. When I came to Japan, I came 6 times to this restaurant. When I am writing this post in this restaurant . It’s a must visit spot who love cliffs, ocean, clean water with blue sky. It’s a full package, you can experience leisure, mind freshen environment,scenic beauty of waves and many more. There is a cafe with supermarkets, you can enjoy your meal there. Parking is also free.

This was an awesome area to walk around and take photos and enjoy the sounds and view of the ocean. There were quite a few people here around 2pm on Sunday, but we were able to still enjoy the views. We walked here from Shirahama Beach, but you can take the bus or drive and find parking. We did not buy tickets; we just walked here and then walked onto the rocks. I think you only have to pay if you’re going on a guided tour.

One of the amazing scenic spots you need to visit when you’re around the Shirahama beach in Wakayama Prefecture. If you go there during Obong Yasumi(Summer Vacation) expect crowded parking areas. Do I advise you to go at an early time.

Very nice place to see the sunset. Need to be careful climbing the rocks. It is walking distance from Shirahama beach, alternatively you can take a bus, as its stops next to the rocks. Very romantic place for couples.

Some of the best views I’ve seen in Japan and probably the best sightseeing location in Shirahama, highly recommend spending some time here.

So hot and so beautiful. It's just so hot here 🥵 So much to explore here if you bring an umbrella and suncream. It's very close to the bus stop (7 mins walk) and there is a coffee shop nearby. No convenient store / conbini around until you go back out again. It's free to visit. No charge.

From live shellfish to premium cuts of tuna, everything is top-quality and reasonably priced. The market is lively, with friendly vendors offering samples and recommendations. The oysters and scallops were incredibly fresh, and the sushi selection was delicious. I also loved the local orange juice—it was rich and refreshing, the perfect drink to complement the seafood feast. The atmosphere is bustling but well-organized, making it an enjoyable experience for both tourists and locals. If you’re in Wakayama, this market is a must-visit for an authentic taste of Japan’s seafood culture! Would definitely come back again!

This is the cleanest "wet" market I've seen so far. Ok, it's a semi wet market, albeit having not much space 😉. Tore Tore Ichiba is also a tourist spot, especially on the summer day - so I was told. Plenty of stuff to buy - skewed shiifuud desu. Fresh sakana for sale. It has a huuuuge aquarium with cool fishes. Enjoy your stay with lots of tabemono. I've had a bowl of UDON soup "OISHII!" There's also a Play place for kids (claw machines and slots for toys. There is also a supppa to buy your omiyage aka pasalubongs!

Terrible Experience – Never Again The staff member at the BBQ check-in counter was unbelievably rude. He couldn’t speak English, yet he shouted right in my face and looked furious when I didn’t understand his broken English. I had booked a table for four, but he just kept yelling “NEXT!” with no explanation — so I had no idea if we had a table or had to wait. One minute later, he suddenly said there was a table upstairs. When we got there, more than half of the tables were completely empty. So why force customers to wait outside in the scorching heat at 12 p.m.? The organization and crowd management here are a joke. Food is overpriced and nowhere near worth it. 3400yen for a table with grill for 2 adults and 2 kids including unlimited soft drink also overpriced. Seafood was not fresh as advertised. The desserts sold outside were awful. One visit was more than enough — I will never return, and I strongly advise my friends and anyone reading this to stay away.

A famous seafood market right next to the motorway. Plenty of free carparks. Lots of shopping and eating opportunities. A place not to be missed. Remember to bring your own bags as they charge for bags.

The seafood was ok, it didn't have the usual fish I liked but most dishes were decently cooked. I liked the lotus root tempura, egg omelette, scallop sashimi, grape chiffon and earl grey roll. Tour group took us here and I felt it was lackluster, but after seeing the price, I want to bump it up a star.

We were here for lunch, the restaurant is not very busy but cosy instead. The food is well prepared, not many seafood or I can say there is only 1 sashimi there. But the food taste OK plus free soft drink (in Japan it calls drink-bar) They made tasty desert and sashimi was fresh. It is 1650 Yen/ adult for 60 mins buffet. Quite a bang for buck!

Great value, love this place! I visit Adventure World every few months and every time I go, I make sure to eat lunch here. For a very reasonable price, you get a good selection of food, dessert, seafood, and soft drinks. I've also had dinner here a handful of times and can't complain!

Giving this place 4 star rating because for what you pay, it’s be unfair to expect any more. I paid 1300 for an all you can eat buffet for 1 hour. They had a wide variety of food plus sashimi and dessert. I can’t see how it’s that cheap but I’m not complaining. I wish this was in Tokyo, I’d go everyday.

The place is compact; there is a small designated parking lot right next to the restaurant and additionally there are two car parking space right in front of the restaurant. The restaurant offers very fresh and high quality sashimi and nigiri; we ordered one of the dinner sets and we love it very much. The chef is very friendly and hospitable; we did not make the reservation for the dinner sets but he still accommodated our order request.

Over priced and not very honest. Ordered premium sushi set yet got at best regular sushi. Do not recommend any foreigners to go there.

We took the menu. It seemed like it was 5 times the price of the Japanese items, maybe because they hike up the prices for tourists who do not speak Japanese. The sushi was average and appetizers, and other items were just plain bad. Weird atmosphere in general.

Would not visit again. I was on a trip to Japan and this is one of the restaurants recommended by the hotel I'm staying (Marriott). It serves Japanese styled western dishes. There are a limited amount of items in the menu. An English menu is provided , which you may refer to the attached photo. The food is good, but not exceptionally good. The staff cannot speak English, and we need to rely on Google translate. The staff were not really helpful and they didn't give us enough fork and spoons. The response time of the staff is long, which made us quite frustrated. The portion is rather small, and it took quite a long time for the food to be prepared.

American Wheat, Pale ale and Mikan ale were awarded at Int'l Beer Cup in 2020 and/or 2021. Weizen are seasonally brewed and IPA is also on the menu. Not super amazing but much tastier than nearby competitors. Sad to find the closure on 20 November 2022. Nagisa Beer HQ is nearby and fortunately untouched. Located in a touristic area and next to a bus stop. Facility is a little bit outdated but the sunset ocean view is gorgeous.

It was a great experience coming here. The food was good and the ambiance as well. It was just 3 minutes walk from our hotel and from Sanbeki cliffs. The price was reasonable and the staff were polite.

Went there at night, service was good, price wise I think it is ok, not particularly expensive or cheap. The lobster was very fresh and alive. Taste was above average. Suggest to get there before sunset so u will have a great view.

It says it’s open on Google map, but when we walk all the way to get there at 3:16pm on September 14th, 2025 (Sunday), they say they’re not open. The lady who works at the restaurant told us very rudely “full seats” and blew us away (as if we owe her any money) when it’s literally almost empty (shown in the photo). (500JPY), and a live jumping squid (1300JPY). The fish sashimi that are available weren’t all from here and we didn’t feel like eating a whole live fish so we skipped that. Lobster is available for around 1100JPY/100 grams. That’s like $50USD a pound? The lobsters here are different than the ones from Maine. They are smaller and chewier and they don’t have the big claws I think. There’s something else that is similar to a lobster but even more high end at 15000JPY/kg. It looks like a cross between a lobster and a crab. Our sashimi was great! They cut it up and you eat it with soy sauce. The live squid was cool, the fisherman grabbed it out of the tank as it squirted water everywhere. It was so fresh and different from previously frozen squid. Would recommend if you like fresh seafood!

As for myself I ordered fresh grapefruit and omurice. It seemed like they were out of grapefruit but the owner was so nice to go out and get some for me. Together with the freshest ingedients, this made it an extremely accomplished dish. And the home made udon we were served in the end was just perfect.
