You don’t know a good bakery unless you’ve been to Wixey. Although I’m sure they miss the competition from Hinkle’s, there is no other bakery like this in Toledo. Hands down the best baked goods in the city. All others do their best to imitate.

I had an amazing experience with Wixey Bakery for my wedding cake. The cake was visually stunning and incredibly delicious, especially the Lemon & Cherry flavor. Guests loved it! Best donuts, yeast and cake, in the Toledo area. Trust me, I've looked lol. Well risen and perfectly fried. The kruller is a must to try. The coffee is actually really good, too

The baked goods are amazing. The Almond Joy cookie- incredible. Doughnuts are also wonderful.

The cupcakes are a joke. The price of $2.50 each is a crime. The icying on the cupcakes are very thin and they are very small for the price. I purchased four for $10 not worth the price. I used to think this is a great bakery. Over time it's has declined.

Let me start with back story to lead up to how wonderful this bakery is! They gained a forever customer! My older children lost their dad a year ago (2/19/23). His birthday was 2/18. He lived in Alabama and Mardis Gras was his favorite. My children wanted to have king cake in memory of their dad. I had seen one at some local grocery stores, but was too soon to buy. By the time I needed one, there wasn’t one available. I called several grocery stores and bakeries. I then called Wixey Bakery. They had one King Cake that was never picked up on the Tuesday before. They said they would give it to me, since it had been a few days and wasn’t at its freshest. They suggested heating in the microwave for softness. We had the cake that Sunday. It was perfect! Didn’t need to heat up. Perfect flavoring of cinnamon, strawberry, and cream cheese!! This really made my children’s day 🩵🩵 we will definitely be back to this bakery!!

Super cute place, really enjoyed everything we tried. A few things were a little on the dry side but that’s ok. Came here originally to find some pistachio baklava but they did not have it. Only have walnut I believe is what we got and it was just garnished with pistachios so my search will continue. Otherwise very nice service and a large variety of sweets to try!! They also make cakes too that look great.

Walked in when I was waiting for my milk tea. Overall, acceptable but not something I would strongly recommend. Macaroon - too sweet. Can only taste sugar. Trader Joe’s packed ones taste better. Cheesecake - not good. The sugar syrup is a weird add. Whole foods does a better job. Opera cake - good and is the only item I would get again (maybe) Other pros: Price is reasonable and there are a lot of choices.

I ordered a cake at the last minute for Father's Day. They did not disappoint! The cake looked just like the picture and it was ready on time. More importantly, Dad loved it! I also ordered the Tarte Aux Fruits and... I feel like I could eat that every day and never get tired of it. This was also an "anxiety-free" transaction. It was very easy to order online, which is super important because I prefer to communicate electronically.

I cant say enough about how amazing this place is. The staff is super friendly and everything is delicious. Every time I come to Toledo I stop and get something new. I highly recommend the macarons, and the baklava is perfectly crispy and sweetened.

Came in because cold stone creamery had to big of a line. We were glad that was the case. The pastries were delicious. The person who helped us was great. We would come here again

I walked into So Sweet for the first time on March 3 around 12 noon. I ordered some sweets for $31. The cashier had no change! She probably had one $5 bill and a few coins. How could a successful business operate like this? I left and got my son to come with change and pay for it.

I have tried other candy stores and no one has the freshness of this one! I suffer from myeloid leukemia and the highlight for me are the coconut bonbons! They are so wonderful! And this candy store treats you with a personal touch. I have to order them online because I live in Minnesota. One example is my most recent package of coconut bonbons that arrived with a beautiful note that said enjoy your coconut bonbons and have a Happy Easter, Andrew. I really like this place because they sell individual flavors of jelly belly's per lb :$ no one wants the gross flavors so doing this gets all my favorite ones :) they have alot of candy's from salt water taffy to gumballs. They sell bulk candy as well 🍭

I have been in a few times and every time I have gone in there's a few new things to try, or something I had been looking for. I always spend more than I intend to but that may be because the selection is good. My son and husband both love the taffy, and I was pleasantly surprised to actually find a Mars bar. I will be back next time I am in Toledo.

This candy store has everything from sour candy, salt water taffy, gum, old school pop, nerds and all sorts of old school candy that you remember. Grab a basket when you enter and fill it up! The owners were extremely nice and helpful. Fun place that reminds me of my early childhood buying candy at the store. They even sent me a coupon in my e-mail!

The staff is super friendly and helpful in finding out the stuff that you need. Our host look time out with patience to fill out a bag of jelly bean candies of different flavors as per our choice. The store stocks lots of retro candies and drinks.

Fun selection and very reasonable prices. Brought back some good memories. Will be back. Love shopping local to support our community!

Super cozy coffee shop with decent coffee and pretty good baked goods. Chai was nice and spiced. The main thing is I went to get a pour over to take to go and the barista seemed like she had never made one before. I felt a little bad because she seemed like she was struggling lol. 😅 But other than that it was good! Cappuccino was made well by a different barista!

Beautifully designed cosey cafe. This place has soul, makes a great coffee and delicious cakes. 10/10. Love the chessboard table by the window ☺️

Stopped here as a family when traveling, and very glad we did! Ordered an iced coffee, caramel latte, peach smoothie, and a lemonade. We also got two delicious sandwiches to split. The Barista was very welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. Just the perfect amount of social. The drinks were very good, but the sandwiches we're really delicious. We ordered the Italian, and the Chicken Parmesan. The cook was nice enough to cut in half so we can split it. Both were VERY good- it was hard to decide which one we liked better.

Cutest little place. I truly loved everything about it. The coffee, cheesecakes, atmosphere, lady helping us. We were just passing through town and someone recommended it. So glad!!

So . . . I'm home visiting family and I want to support local businesses as much as possible so I stopped in here today for lunch. First, some positives - the place itself is super cute with seating indoors and outdoors. I like that they don't rely on all disposable crap (plates, bowls, etc.) and that they also use paper straws. I decided on the egg salad sandwich - listed at $7.99 - and a water. When the bill came to $9.90, I decided to look at my receipt to figure out how it had increased by almost $2.00. But, as you can see from the photo of my receipt . . . no clue. So I had to ask and was told that the "filtered" water is $1.00 and that there is a 3% surcharge for paying with a credit card. Annoying. First, tell me the water is $1.00 before putting it in a plastic cup, capping it with a plastic lid, putting a straw in it and giving it to me. Had I known, I would have forgone the water. Then the sandwich came out and - my goodness - can you put more than a few tablespoons of egg salad on a sandwich when it costs almost $10.00 at this point? I will admit that the bread it was on was delicious and, thank goodness, because that's about all I tasted since there was so little egg salad. Again, I really want to support local businesses and I will try this place again to give it another try, but I'm sad to say that today's visit was, sad to say it, really disappointing.

We had incredible chili, BLT, and chicken caesar sandwich. The gentleman who took care of us was nice and efficient, and the outdoor seating area is beautiful.

Just discovered this little deli and we were impressed! We got our lunch to go and the quiche was the best I’ve ever tried and my husband enjoyed the 1/2 turkey sandwich and salad combo! Definitely will be returning!

I like this place! The food and service is excellent. I love the macaroni salad and my fav sandwich is the PRESCOTT: House-made pimento cheese spread, lettuce, chicken salad, and caramelized bacon served on Zingerman’s toasted sourdough bread! I thought it would taste weird but I love it!

Very nice place. The ambience is pretty nice. The food tastes amazes. There are sweet and salty options, vegan options. It is really a very nice coffee house in this area. You have to go and try for yourself.

So happy to have found this little gem. Cute, cute, cute! Great fresh food, house made desserts and coffee. My only disappointment was that they changed a buck for tap water. That was a first. I guess they have to pay for the cup.

Clean place for family party. Enough room and had a hockey table and pool table to entertain children. Liked kitchen area and dance floor.

Yeah it's not in the best of neighborhoods but, the workers and just the environment in the store feels welcoming. The employees look happy to be at work so customers are happy. There's many different things to buy from food house hold items like cleaning supplies or toilet paper. They have many different wraps and cigarette brands also some clothes and hats.

My daughter's wedding was last weekend and McKiddy Cakes provided their cake and bite sized cupcakes. The cake was beautiful and one of the most delicious cakes I have ever tasted! We received SO MANY compliments on the cake and cupcakes, several asked who made them for future reference. The display for the cupcakes was beautiful and you could definitely tell they took extra care in the placement of them. They also have so many different flavors to choose from as well. I highly recommend McKiddy Cakes to anyone looking for delicious and beautiful cakes!!

I am so glad we found McKiddy cakes. My husband and I attended a wedding day at Nazareth Hall and tried SO many cakes- NONE COMPARED TO THIS. Jessica’s cakes were beyond moist, she has an AMAZING frosting, and a plethora of flavors to choose from!!! We were BEYOND impressed with how our display turned out. The cake and cupcakes were a huge hit!! Every single one was eaten!! We did have a small communication hiccup (my fault), but she made sure everything was correct, contracts were signed, quantities were finalized, and made a beautiful display for us. I absolutely LOVE supporting small, local, businesses. You can tell she pours her heart into her business and has a true passion for baking.

Literally the best choice for cake we could have made! Not only was the cake as well as the cupcakes amazing, but Jessica was super professional and easy to work with the whole time! She was super communicative and didn't leave anything up in the air. Her cakes are fantastic and she was so sweet throughout the whole process, especially day of!

Both the cake and desserts were absolutely delicious. She has a ton of options and all the samples were awesome.

I hired her for my wedding of October of 2023, and since the beginning of meeting her she was friendly and welcoming. I was so excited to try her desserts. Something happened where she did get the dates mixed up and we had to figure out alternatives last minute on the day. She did make it up by giving us a full refund and a free celebration cake for any event. We took her up on that and she did a cake and cookies for my sister's in law's baby shower. It came out amazing and exactly what she wanted. She owned up to her mistake and made it up majorly. I'd still recommend her for any events!

SO many compliments on her brownies for our wedding day. Jessica was so kind to work with and helped us with whatever we needed for our big day. We had brownies with a nontraditional cheese cake to cut and it was so good!

Day Old Doughnuts Unlimited more like it. I used to love this place. It’s gone downhill and not sure if it’s management or the employees just don’t care. It looks nice and clean inside. I went here on a Sunday morning for a couple of apple fritters. They gave me the worst tasting doughnuts ever. They were burnt, old, and tough. If they weren’t day old, an I swear they were, then it’s hands down the worst fritter I’ve ever had. And They use to have the best apple fritters. I couldn’t eat them. My wife tasted one and spit it out. I wanted to go back and get my money back but was in hurry. I don’t write poor reviews - but I’ll make an exception for this experience. Never going back.

Ordered a cake and cupcakes for my child’s 30th birthday. The birthday was a seventies theme. The cake we mentioned something 70’s as decoration as well as the cupcakes. They did an excellent job!! Not only was the cake delicious- champagne - but the decorations were perfect! They did tie-dye around the sides and daisies on the top. Lots of colors around the sides. The cupcakes had a big daisy on each. Everyone commented on how beautiful both were and the flavor and moistness of the cakes was amazing! Thank you for doing such a great job. I have ordered from here before and will again.

I live maybe 10 minutes from this Bakery Unlimited but I’ll drive to the one all the way on Sylvania because the staff on Secor are so rude. I gave them multiple chances thinking maybe they’re having a bad day, and every time I go and no matter who helps me the service is always the same. The pastries are amazing but the staff are not!!

I have stopped in to get Apple Fritters, and I love them. They are just the right size and are moist and very delicious. I like their donuts, cream cheese muffins, and sugar cookies, but the Apple Fritters are my favorite. The staff is pleasant and friendly each time I have been in there.
