Simply Delicious Bakery is a family-owned and operated bakery that specializes in special occasion cakes and cookies. They are well-known for their large cakes, but they also make delicious cupcakes, pies, and pastries. They are always willing to help with custom orders, and they do amazing work.
i usually never write reviews but omggg sooo gooddd ! my grandma used to get all my birthday cakes from here when i was a baby so ive always loved this place , this morning i got the gingerbread cupcake with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and it is DELICIOUSSS ! the cake part is not to sweet which is great because i dislike things that are too sweet , the icing is deliciousss as well , in the photo ive included it looks a little odd because its already halfway eaten lol but run and go get one of these they are sooo good ! and the lady who was at the counter was so sweet and made good conversation , im not sure of her name but she was working 12/12/24 at around 9:50am , give this girl a raise she is so sweet ! :)

I am a wedding coordinator and needed a last minute cake for one of my brides and this place came to our rescue! I was able to give my bride her dream cake! I 100% recommend this place to any person!
Hannah C — Google review
Sadly underwhelming. Ordered 36 cupcakes a week in advance. Order was wrong. Cupcakes were a little sad, definitely not worth the price. I could have made them myself. Don’t recommend. The lady working yesterday 5/9/24 was very unwelcoming and had a bit of an attitude. Cupcakes only looked okay because I added extra decor and had a nice display that I purchased separately from Amazon.
Interstellar A — Google review
I hate putting this but I must. Walked in on a whim to get a sweet treat. We got half a dozen yummy looking cupcakes. When we tried them we were terribly disappointed. They were so dry! Icing was hard. I cannot believe a bakery would have the nerve to put this out there for purchase. They should be ashamed of theirselves for selling a product like that. All cupcakes were dry, dry, DRY.

Simply Delicious did a really good job with my wedding cake. Ordered a simple 6in round for cutting and 18 cupcakes. When I arrived, my burgandy cupcakes were too purple for my liking and they didn't hesitate to make them exactly what I wanted. The cake is moist and very flavorful. All of my guests were impressed. I will definitely be a returning customer.
Andrea W — Google review
Dawn did an amazing job with our wedding cake! The look and taste was EXACT! She arrived at our venue early and was patient with us figuring out where the cake would be moved to. Everyone loved the cake! We are looking forward to our one year anniversary to eat some more! Thank you for making our day wonderful!

This bakery was such a disappointment. My daughters ordered me a cake for Mother's Day 2024 .They live out of state and we're excited for the reviews this places has .. trust and believe it is not as what your expectations are . You're better off going to Walmart for the quality & quantity.& price. If there was a place to add a picture I sure would it is an embarrassment for a place to advertise expertise and you get pre school quality work. Shame on you Simply Delious you should have made your mistake right. We will never use this place or recommend it to anyone .
Tamara G — Google review
Very friendly staff. Courtney was very sweet. I tried several cookies and cupcakes. I was very impressed with how soft and flavorful everything was. The watermelon cupcakes actually taste like sweet watermelon! Order ahead and they will have it ready for you to pick up. A must for parties, gifts, catering, or a fun snack!

Milk Bottle Cookies is a rising star in Waco's dessert scene, conveniently located near popular attractions like Chip & Joanna Gaines Market at the Silos and Union Hall. This local cookie bakery offers traditional flavors like chocolate chip and oatmeal, as well as specialty cookies that change weekly. The rustic, vintage-style shop provides spacious seating for enjoying their delicious homemade cookies, which are described as perfectly sweet and salty.
Incredibly delicious and sweet cookies! We had a sweet treat one evening and then went back TJ next day for a midday snack. Ally was helpful, friendly and remembered us! If you’re in Waco for any reason, stop by!

Milk Bottle Cookies – Waco, TX Rating: ★★★½ (3.5 stars) The business card says “Fresh Cookies. Espresso Bar. Free Wi-Fi. Friendly Service.” That’s the promise. So here’s the reality. Walked in around 9:30 AM—place was empty. Just me and the person behind the counter. I asked for her name, but honestly, it slipped my mind because the interaction was… functional. She wasn’t rude. Just there. Doing her job. Not hostile, not warm. The kind of service that checks the box but doesn’t fill the soul. No name exchange. No welcome. No spark. Now, let’s talk cookie. I got the peanut butter. And I’m going to be direct: it was not good. You ever bite into a cookie so thick it looks like it’s trying to be a biscuit, a muffin, and a doorstop all at once? There’s a science to baking, and thickness without balance is a gamble. When your main product—literally your namesake—is cookies, you’d better know your chemistry. The inside was dense and cakey, not chewy. Sugar-heavy in a way that just sits in the middle of your mouth. Not enough moisture to hold the bite. It didn’t have that crisp edge or that soft melt in the middle. Instead, it was doughy, like it wanted to be undercooked but missed the mark both ways. Just thick for the sake of being thick. And here’s the thing: this was my second visit. I gave it another chance because maybe the first time was a fluke. But nope. Same issue. This cookie looked good in theory but ate like a brick. Ordered a pour-over with it. For ten bucks total, I expected at least a ceramic mug if I’m sitting down, maybe even one branded with the logo. Instead, I got a standard to-go cup. The coffee itself? It was fine. Hard to mess up a pour-over. But that’s not the star of the show. The cookie is supposed to be the main event. What I don’t understand is this recent obsession with “more is better.” Bigger, thicker, taller—at the cost of taste and texture. If you’re going to claim “fresh daily,” then I want it to taste like it came out of the oven that day, not like it sat overnight under a heat lamp of hope. Atmosphere? Clean, minimal, but quiet to the point of sterile. Background music. A little hum. And the sound of your own chewing. Again, not unpleasant—but where’s the warmth? Where’s the welcome? That feeling that you’re glad I showed up today? The cookie case looked impressive. Stacked high with variety. But if tried twice and they didn’t deliver, I’m not in a rush to sample the rest. And that loyalty card? Two punches down, three to go—but I can already tell you it’s not getting filled. There are other spots in Waco with more soul, more flavor, more “something.” This isn’t a hit piece. It’s just what happened. If I had to sum it up: pretty concept, underwhelming execution. Three and a half stars. And that’s me being generous.
Rick B — Google review
I got the PB&J cookie and it was enormous. I would have liked it to be smaller lol. It came with frosting, which was cute but not needed. The side of homemade raspberry jam was delicious and tart and much needed to temper the sweetness of the cookie. For $6 it felt like a decent value, you could have shared with 2-3 people. The cookies are gorgeous, as tall as a scoop of ice cream. They are cooked all the way through, chewy on the outside and cakey on the inside. Fun place to visit as a tourist or pick up a special treat, but I won't become a repeat customer.
Ayla J — Google review
From the moment we walked into Milk Bottle Cookies, we were greeted with a warm smile and a friendly “May I guide you through our current menu options?” They offer a mix of their staple cookies and a rotating seasonal selection, making each visit a little different. My absolute favorites are the classic chocolate chip and the cookie with raspberry cheesecake with chocolate cookie base—it’s the perfect balance of sweet and chocolate and tartness. Whether you take your cookies to go or enjoy them in their bright, airy space with plenty of seating, you’re in for a treat. It’s a must-visit for any cookie lover in Waco!
Ashley R — Google review
I’m not from Waco, just visiting from Arizona. Everyone told me about this place and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I’m over the national franchise cookie places that their cookies just feel like too much and over hyped. This place definitely is beating them by a MILE! The “Local” presence felt so strong and the service was 10/10. I’m leaving town soon but i”” be making another stop before I leave! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Luis P — Google review
I'll be honest! As coffee shops go, the place is nice. That being said $6 for a cookie that isn't even baked all the way through? I get these are supposed to be cake like cookies, my GF and I bought 3, and all three were dough on the middle, not soft cookie, actual dough. Sorry, but these cookies are not it.
Hapa F — Google review
The atmosphere is adorable, and the service was really good. But we went a few hours before close, and the cookies had probably been sitting out for a while. They were fine, just not fresh. Maybe if you go early, you'll have a better experience.
Shea T — Google review
The best cookies EVER!! The cookie has a hard soft crunch, it’s so very delicious. Thick cookie, with a lot of flavor! Cookies where freshly made by the day!, they also have specialty cookies made by the day ! So crazy good to enjoy for a quick snack! All ages recommend.

Bakery
Baked Bliss Baking Company, located on N. 15th St. in downtown Waco, is a hidden gem for those with a sweet tooth. They offer a variety of gluten-free treats such as cinnamon rolls, cranberry orange scones, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, blueberry muffins, and bacon cheddar scones. Additionally, they take pre-orders for their gluten-free bread and also provide gluten-free cakes and cupcakes for special events.
The BEST bakery in Waco. Hands down the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. The scones, cookies and muffins are all delicious!! You can’t go wrong. Very gluten free friendly

Amazing baked goods rain or shine!! Their Seasonal Blueberry cinnamon rolls are my fav. But none is sweeter than the owner, Kim. She was one of the first to welcome us to Waco and always checks on us when we come to visit. Thank you, Kim, for the towel and umbrella during yesterday's storm! You really made our day. Thank you for the cinnamon rolls as always!
Rebecca A — Google review
Whenever we visit Waco, we make time to visit this little gem of a bakery! Lovely and welcoming porch, and "the best cinnamon rolls in the world" (according to my husband and son). As someone who does not personally eat sweet things, I adore the quiche 😋 and the scones are amazing too; just the right amount of dryness, and so flavorful! Order ahead if you are in a hurry, because everything is prepared with care and love. Better yet, sit a spell and enjoy a coffee and conversation.
Susan W — Google review
My husband and I stopped here as it has gluten-free options. I got the scone combo box, which included a large scone, baby scone, and I added a kolache for extra charge. All of which was gluten-free. So I was super excited about that as I'm NCGS. The mini scone, which I got orange cranberry, was amazing. The large scone was bacon cheddar. That one, I didn't care for too much as it was too thick for my liking. The kolache was small but very tasty. My husband got 2 regular kolaches(not gluten-free) he really liked their flavor, but they were small. It's a mom and pop kind of shop so that was cool. Wouldn't mind if I was back in the area going and trying their gluten free cupcakes or cookies.

Surprise find on a Saturday! Mini cinnamon rolls, mini ham kolaches were our picks. Then we took home scones, chocolate chip cookies and a blueberry muffin! Love it! In a unique location with patio seating. That serve lunch too so I will be back for that next!
Angela T — Google review
The service was very personable. I enjoyed our visit as I learned about the uniqueness of how the cinnamon rolls were made with special ingredients. I absolutely recommend the amazing cinnamon rolls! They are a little pricey but worth every penny. Each roll is huge and should be shared by two or perhaps three people.. These rolls are even better when heated. I was given a small sample as I waited for my order to be boxed up. I could taste the butter, vanilla, special ingredient cinnamon and a hint of cream cheese. Mouthwatering delicious!! I plan to return to Baked Bliss to sit on the open air deck as I sip coffee and enjoy a different tasty treat. You should stop by, meet the friendly staff and treat yourself to deliciousness!

Kim was so sweet to me and my friend on our first visit here this morning - very personable and chatted with us displaying perfect customer service! She was so willing to explain how the gluten free goodies were made to make sure I felt comfortable before purchasing them as I have multiple food allergies. The gluten free cinnies were amazing and so flavorful - I will definitely be making this a regular spot!

Cinnamon Rolls 💣 Kolaches 🔥 Coffee ☕️ is not too bad. Great visit to this hidden gem for a morning sweet tooth. Great experience and wonderful staff and owners. Hands down the best grandma recipe cinnamon roll we ever had. The kolache was surprisingly large, and the breading was on point. A must stop next time we are in town.

Nestled in the heart of East Waco, Street Dog Cafe is a delightful bakery and coffee shop that has quickly become a local favorite. Located at 406 Elm Ave., this charming spot bakes fresh pastries daily, offering an enticing selection that includes biscotti, breads, breakfast pizzas, and quiches. The café's espresso bar serves up a variety of beverages from warm cappuccinos to refreshing matcha drinks.
This was a hidden gem literally, because you would see no cafe signs. However, customers kept coming, they're obviously regulars. I would've become a regular myself if I lived in this area. Everything was delicious here and it felt like we're eating a homemade breakfast at a good friend's house. Danielle and her team was cheerful and friendly. Better yet, this place was dog friendly. Highly recommend.

This is our Saturday family breakfast spot. The kids love the baked goods especially the banana bread and the zucchini bread. The wife and I usually opt for the quiche and a two egg breakfast. Everything is wonderful and fresh. The service is outstanding. They really go above and beyond to make our kid’s day. They also do a daily lunch special as well as have a full offering of coffees and espressos. It’s a great lunch spot for friends, a date or a quick lunch meeting.
Drew P — Google review
Everything I tried was so good. The savory and sticky buns were both good. The breakfast pizza was the perfect temperature egg, I was very impressed with how perfectly the yolk was for it. My wife got the daily special which was a veggie egg bake and it was very light and refreshing yet still filling, she was full and I got to enjoy it too. We’ll be back! Hopefully they make some biscuits and gravy some time as a special because their baked goods are great and I reminisced about the Lula Janes Saturday morning biscuits and gravy
AJ S — Google review
This place was AMAZING!!!! Great location, ample parking, plenty of tables for studying/reading/socializing. The food was phenomenal-I could eat 16 stick buns if left to my own devices. The baked oatmeal was delicious-it felt like I was eating a fall themed bread pudding. The cranberry and chocolate biscuit had a delightful flavor profile perfect for a chilly morning. The chia latte with pumpkin was ever PSL girl’s dream and the drip coffee was perfect. The staff was SO sweet and made excellent recommendations and the menu was very versatile-ranging from vegan and vegetarian options all the way to breakfast tacos! Highly highly recommend checking this place out!

We came to Street dog cafe and really enjoyed our time! We had the quiche, breakfast pizza, London fog, and lattes. Everything was freshly made and yummy, but we weren’t blown away by any of it. Service was great and everyone was lovely and kind! We will be back whenever in Waco!
Enid C — Google review
We stopped by Street Dog Cafe on our way through Waco and tried a taco and a cranberry orange scone. Both were really good. The food was high quality, super fresh, and the portions were generous. The scone was especially delicious. It was flaky, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service was phenomenal. The girl who took my order was incredibly patient and kind. She took her time with me and made the whole experience feel very welcoming. At one point, we thought our order was wrong (it wasn’t), and they were quick to address it without any hesitation. I was very impressed. The only downside for me was the coffee. They use Merit beans, which a lot of people like, but I personally find them a bit bitter and sour. If you’re someone who enjoys Merit coffee, you’ll probably be just fine. We also asked for honey in our iced coffee, but it wasn’t mixed into the hot espresso before being iced, so the honey didn’t dissolve. Still, if you like Merit coffee or just want really good food and kind, attentive service, I absolutely recommend giving this place a try.
Brandy K — Google review
We ordered Breakfast hash, breakfast pizza, yogurt parfait, chocolate chip cookie, and two cup of hot latte. Every dish tastes really good as the comment! We enjoy our breakfast hours with kids here, very relax! It deserves 5 stars for sure!

Silos Baking Co. is a charming bakery in Waco, Texas, owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines. Despite the misconception that the couple spends their time there, they are not always present due to security reasons. The bakery offers a variety of pastries, breads, and cupcakes for visitors to enjoy. A trip to Magnolia Market at the Silos can be an exciting vacation for fans of Chip and Joanna Gaines or those looking to explore where Fixer Upper began.
It was a dream come true to finally visit the Sillos. I’ve been a fan of Johana and Chip for the longest. When my son had to go compete at Dallas I figured we can rent a car and drive south to Waco. It did not disappoint the road trip was beautiful but the pastries were amazing and to die for. My favorite was the lemon lavender so delicious. Loved every one of them. Service was quick, it was a long line but you grab a menu card mark what you want, pay for it and they call you by your name once is done. Loved how fast that long line moved. We started outside and within 10 minutes we were done and with the package secured. 😉😜 IYKYK 😝

So I got an oatmeal creame pie, cookie , I'm warming ya ahead of time way to sweet for that and at $6 I couldn't even eat 1/4 of it. The smell when the door is opened omgosh if your not hungry it'll make ya lol. Just wished they had croissants. $4.50 for Cinnamon Roll wasn't a bad price. There was a line to get in. They hand ya a menu to order from in the line outside. They had some merchandise inside also.
K C — Google review
While the cupcakes were outstanding, the chocolate chip cookie was very disappointing. The cupcakes (chocolate and strawberry cream) were among the best you’ll ever taste—proportional creamy topping over a moist, dense cake. The cookie was a different story. I’m not a chocolate fanatic, but the chocolate chip to cookie ratio was lacking even by my standards (see photo). I expected much better from Magnolia. Highly recommend (the cupcakes but not the chocolate chip cookie)!
Richard N — Google review
Silos Baking Co. has a beautiful vibe and is such a fun stop, especially as part of the whole Silos experience. The bakery is charming, the aesthetic is on point, and it’s definitely exciting to finally see it in person after growing up watching Chip and Joanna. That said, the pastries were a bit of a letdown for me. I found them on the dry side — I personally prefer my biscuits and pastries to be a bit more moist and tender. I'm not sure if it was a freshness issue or just their baking style, but it didn't quite live up to the visual appeal. Still, it was worth the visit for the experience, and checking this off my Magnolia bucket list made the long trip feel complete. If you’re a fan of the show, it’s definitely something you’ll want to see for yourself — just maybe adjust your expectations on the baked goods.
The G — Google review
Stopped at the Silos Baking Co. while on our vacation and could not have been more pleased with the visit. There was a young lady (sorry I didn't get her name) outside the door who nwas handing out "Menus" of items served and available inside. I understand this would REALLYT be helpful on bbusy days as I understand crowds can be lined up out the door. As it was, we walkedd right in, made our purchase of coffee, a muffin and cupcake, asas well as cinnamon rolls for the next morning. Everything was packaged neatly in the bag shown, so I wasn't able to show you how delicious it was. My advise to everyone ... arrive early. Be aware, the Silos and Magnolia Table locations have come to be destinations. Yeah, there are VERY busy days, so plan accordingly.
Robert K — Google review
Even in the rain, there’s a line to get into Silos Baking Co. — and for good reason! The smell of fresh pastries and cupcakes hits you the moment you walk up, and it’s absolutely worth the wait. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and everything tastes homemade with love. Rain or shine, this place is a must-stop in Waco! 🌧️☕🍰
Alfio V — Google review
There was a queue , but a nice young lady was handing out menus which you filled in while waiting, then gave it in and paid. There was then a short wait for your very delicious order The queue does not take long.
Nick W — Google review
While visiting Magnolia Market, we were most excited to visit the bakery. It was not crowded when we arrived around 11am on a Thursday and decided to try the carrot cake and lavender lemon cupcakes. They looked delicious and were packed in a cute little box; however, both of our cupcakes were somewhat dry, which was completely shocking after hearing for years how amazing they are. The carrot cake was actually a little crumbly, rather than moist, so sad. The frosting was smooth and creamy, loved the texture, and I'm not a frosting person, but it was good. I LOVE sweets and I can't believe I'm saying this, but it was a little too sweet, even for me - another shocker. I was going to get a cookie for later, but after eating the cupcakes, we decided against it.

The bakery chain with bundt cakes ranging from bite-sized to tiered, plus platters, candles & cards. was pleased to find out that, not only did they get a new flavor, but they were able to get it at the store near me as well!
My neighbors husband passed and I wanted to find something different to give her and her family something to eat then the same old stuff they were getting from others. Her family began arriving from out of state within a few hours of his passing. We got her a meal from another location and I placed an online order for some small cakes and was able to select flavors. They were ready super fast and I got them in an hour or two. I wasn't sure how cake for someone passing would go over but a few days later the neighbor came over to give us a thank you card and told us how much she enjoyed getting them. She said the cakes really stood out and they were good. She really liked them and wanted to know where the store was so they could buy more for the actual visitation after the funeral. I don't know if they did but she really appreciated it. It make it extra nice they had cards in stock right there in the location and I was able to pick a very nice sympathy card that looked so pretty too without having to go to a big box store. The whole thing looked nice and I just appreciate them getting it together so quickly for us.

We are visiting from Phoenix and had some business to attend to in Waco. We saw your location here and decided to stop and try the seasonal flavor, Lemon Blueberry. As with your other flavors, this one was very moist. We have never had any issues back home, and this one did not disappoint either.

The cupcakes were delicious. My first time here and I had a great experience. The store was really pretty and clean. I don’t really like thick icing so that’s the only thing I didn’t like.

The chocolate chocolate chip birthday Bundt we got for our daughter’s birthday was absolutely delicious. The website was user friendly for placing order and pick up at designated time was a breeze. Great experience and cute cake!

Tried to purchase four minis. Would not cash $100. This was not a low-end bakery this is considered pretty high end. I would expect them to have change. I bought cakes there once a week.

Best place for cake !! Love it all from here. The lady there was so sweet ! I recommend everyone to come and enjoy a cake.
Lucia Z — Google review
I came to this store to get a birthday cake for my mom. I make a couple of jokes about getting a discount on a larger cake(I was clearly joking, I can pay for a large cake no problem). The girls at the front purposely give me a strawberry cake. The African American girl tells a Caucasian girl to put a different label on the box. I'm extremely upset that I received the wrong cake. My mom does not like strawberries and I had to make her brownies instead while the rest of my family enjoyed the cake. I'm glad I didn't apply to work here with rude and judgemental employees. Edit: I am biracial so I decided to show more respect than the three girls at the front desk.

Collin Street Bakery, located just north of Waco, is a renowned family-owned bakery that has been serving high-quality baked goods since 1896. Their signature pastry, the DeLuxe Fruitcake, has earned them a great reputation over the years. In addition to their award-winning fruitcakes and cookies, they offer an array of donuts and a cafe menu featuring southern classics like chicken salad and Texas chili.
Found this place on a vacation adventure. It was very quiet during the week and during work hours. They also had so many icebox cookies that all were so delicious. I can't wait to go again.

Went here because we were told they sold macarons, but they dont, they sell macaroons. Anyway, we got some delicious sweets from the bakery and a turkey, bacon, ranch sandwich. That sandwich was amazing. The bread was soft and the ingredients were fresh. Would definitely recommend that sandwich. Service was mid at best, that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

Stopped for a Tesla charge, but given much more !!! We stopped to eat at this quaint cafe right next to chargers !!! Prices were great for what they offered , and tasted amazing ! The sweet lady at the counter was so kind to us ! Will def stop by again if we find ourselves in this area again !!!

Ash helped us and made the whole shopping experience worth it. I’d literally buy anything she’s selling. The baked goods were incredible, and they gave us free samples. Take a day off from your meal plan and have Ash put some chocolate balls in your mouth, you won’t regret it!

I don’t leave reviews but this is more directed towards management. Patricia took my order with a super snappy attitude (I got two pastry’s from the display case and ordered a sandwich to sit down) when she rang me up she threw the receipt and walked away? Other people had numbers to put on their table to show they were waiting on food and I didn’t get one. She also went back to what she was doing and didn’t give me my pastries. I was confused and went to get my drink. About 10 minutes later of waiting I went back to the register and was helped by Janet (who was wonderful) and she told me I was SUPPOSED to get my pasties when I placed my order as well as a number for my food. She gave me an extra macaroon for the inconvenience and had to take my ticket directly to the kitchen to have my food made. Really disappointed that my first time here I was immediately dismissed at the register, had Janet not been kind enough to help me, I’d still be waiting. I was told Patricia was one of the managers at the location? I don’t understand how someone with that bad of an attitude is up front helping customers. DONT work in customer service if you DONT like your job!

If you're looking for a sweet treat, Sweetness Desserts is the place to go! The decor is all black and white and pink, adding to the sweetness of everything on offer. From the baby grand piano to the gold etageres, everything about this dessert shop screams delightful. Cupcakes like banana & cream cheese, chocolate peanut butter, creme de menthe, and raspberry lemonade are just some of the amazing treats on offer.
We love Sweetness! They are, hands down, the best cupcakes in town! The owner is so sweet and attentive as well. The little shop is so cute and off the beaten path. Highly recommend!

Sweetness Desserts made our wedding cakes. Our main cake was Amaretto flavored and the gluten-free was Italian cream. Both were incredibly delicious and beautiful! We found the pricing to be reasonable. Laura was friendly, gifted and incredibly professional. Our wedding was in Temple so they traveled to deliver our cake. We highly recommend Sweetness Desserts for your wedding!

One of the best local bakeries here in Waco, TX! We love how there’s always a fresh selection put out daily for those on-the-fly craving and bakery needs, which never disappoint - offering a variety of cupcakes, mini cupcakes, cookies, and other sweet treats. Sweetness does a fantastic job of capturing the beauty of top-tier baked goods, while providing moist cake bases and savory buttercream frostings to all of their creations. Most definitely an elevated dessert experience! A personal favorite is “Here Comes The Bride” cake and cupcakes, the perfect alternative for that wedding cake craving without the hassle of waiting for someone to get married - LOL! The chocolate with chocolate frosting cake and cupcakes is also another personal favorite. My husband’s personal favorite is the strawberry!

This is the best cupcake I ever had!!! The absolute best in Waco. The icing was nice, thick, and sweet. A perfect ratio of icing to cupcake. Every bite was delicious. I don’t usually like cake or cupcakes but man this was good. My mom had got these pecan coconut cupcakes and I loved everything about it, I ate 2 in one sitting lol. I would most definitely recommend this place!!!!

Definitely the BEST bakery in Waco. I have tried multiple bakeries here in Waco & I have finally found my go to one. They did exactly what I wanted for a baby shower cake, I can't get over how adorable & perfect the cake was! It was delicious, I had ordered the strawberry & it did not disappoint. If you are looking for a bakery to trust, this is the one.

When Ordering a cake, They never asked us for how many people (at the time of ordering i didn't think about asking) also never mentioned the size, showered them the inspo picture. Went to pick up, she showed me the cake and that's when I asked how many people it feed (due to it looking small) top layer was about 4in and bottom a 6in. Got to the venue and took a closer look, there was a border missing, you could see the fondant overlapping. At Cutting time, the icing (whatever they use on top of the cake) just crumbled and it turned into a big mess. I Was not impressed for a almost $300 cake.

Smallcakes is a cupcake and ice cream shop in Waco, TX that offers delicious treats made from scratch every day. The shop has a great selection of flavors to choose from, and the staff is friendly and accommodating.
The customer service was excellent!! They were patient as we picked our options. The cake super moist and the icing was the perfect amount of sweet on each one. Although they were different. Each one was decorated ever so nicely. If you give them a try you won't be disappointed!! Cookies and cream was my favorite

This place offers a delightful variety of treats, and we had a great time sampling their offerings. We tried both the cupcakes and the ice cream, and both were delicious. The ice cream is homemade, and it has a unique, refreshing taste, almost like yogurt. It's creamy yet light, making it the perfect dessert for a warm day or anyone looking for a slightly tangy twist on traditional ice cream. The cupcake selection is also impressive, with many flavors to choose from. One thing to note is that most of their cupcakes come with buttercream icing, which might not appeal to everyone. However, they do offer a few cupcakes without buttercream, providing options for those who prefer something different. In addition to cupcakes and ice cream, the shop also has a variety of cookies and brownies, which are perfect for anyone looking for a more classic sweet treat. They even offer drink options to pair with your dessert, making it a nice stop for a full dessert experience. A nice touch is that they have a monthly menu that lists the cupcake flavors available, so you can plan ahead if you're looking for something specific. And if you're ever unsure, you can always give them a call to find out what's available that day. All in all, this place is a great spot for satisfying your sweet tooth, with plenty of options to choose from!

CakeAmor Bakery is a delightful place that offers an array of delectable treats. The bakery is known for its vegan cupcakes, which are described as some of the best around. Customers appreciate the accommodating and kind service provided by the staff. Additionally, CakeAmor Bakery is praised for its custom works of art, including beautifully crafted cakes that have left customers thoroughly impressed. The German chocolate cake and assorted cupcakes are particularly popular and have made events extra special.
We visited Waco a couple of weeks ago, and while we were there we wanted some vegan treats. I contacted the bakery ahead and asked if they had anything vegan. He asked when we’d be in town and he’d make sure he had some on hand. When we got there he had vanilla and chocolate vegan cupcakes. He was so nice, and the cupcakes were amazing!! Some of the best vegan cupcakes I’ve had. Will definitely visit there again when we’re in town. We were so appreciative and thankful they were so accommodating and kind. :)

Got chocolate, strawberry and vanilla cupcakes for my daughters 2 year olds Birthday, chocolate no one ate because they tasted like they weren’t cooked all the way, strawberry was good, vanilla didn’t taste fresh. I felt bad for her, 70 something dollars for 2 dozen of these was a joke, she didn’t know any better though!! The fondant on top was definitely not edible!! I’ll definitely make them myself next time for about 20 bucks!! (She ordered bubble guppies and that’s the best they could come up with? No different color icings or sprinkles for a little pizazz, nothing!!)

O My Cakes and More, originally a Cottage Bakery, has recently expanded to include a storefront at the Richland Mall in Waco. The bakery is known for its specialty in crafting delicious cakes. Customers have raved about their Bourbon Peach Crunch Cheesecake, praising the flavorful crumble topping and buttery crust. Visitors highly recommend making the trip to the mall for a delightful treat, with options like key lime and Southern Pecan pie receiving high praise.
Okay so....I'm not one to go to the mall for much of anything. But....ya'll.....it's worth the trip! Pictured is keylime. I’ve visited the store approximately two Saturdays ago. The cheesecake was out of this world, but more importantly, the young man behind the counter was so kind and thoughtful. We indulged in the Bourbon Peach Crunch Cheesecake today and it was an absolute delight! The crumble topping was exceptionally flavorful, striking a perfect balance between sweetness and texture. The cheesecake's crust was exquisitely buttery and delightfully crisp. We highly recommend trying O My Cakes for a delightful treat!

I wanted to like this place so bad...but the cake is much too dense and the frosting is subpar. It was a very welcoming environment, the cashier was very nice and knowledgeable. I wouldnt recommend unless you like heavy cake that barely has a taste. For reference I tried the banana, the strawberry gluten free, and the vanilla bean cake. I was looking for a moist cake with sweet buttercream frosting.

My HEB, a popular grocery store in Waco, offers a variety of products at decent prices. Customers appreciate the fresh bakery, deli, and seafood departments. The Bellmead location is known for its organization and speedy check-out process. While some shoppers feel that HEB employees are helpful, others believe they don't get enough credit. Despite this, many have had positive experiences with services like curbside pickup.
Store more or less has a monopoly in Waco, but they have decent prices if you watch what you buy and use their sale coupons. Feel that HEB and Walmart now act together on many prices. Used to be Walmart was almost always cheaper on many items, now they are the same, kinda suspicious to me. Like the fresh bakery, the Deli and the seafood departments at HEB. Target is getting big the grocery area and their prices are more reasonable in many cases. Have to shop for best prices.

I just bought a cake from there and for 140$ they just added a little decors when theirs people who will charge that much with much more decor and better effort. Also, when i went up there to go pick it up they had the cake on the counter instead of having it inside a cold fridge to help the cake from falling apart when on the road. Just felt like they’ve could’ve done more EFFORT to the cake for $140. Ill spend that much money for a business that cares about their work of art somewhere else

The Olive Branch is a popular spot in Waco, known for its relaxed atmosphere and delicious American breakfast and lunch options. The lofted dining room is a favorite among locals, especially during the weekends when they flock to enjoy brunch specials like eggs sardou, breakfast skillets, chicken biscuit sandwiches, pastas, and salads. The restaurant also offers affordable carafes of mimosas to complement the hearty fare.
Never been here before but heard good things. First of all I was greeted at the door with a smile which is rare these days. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Quick service too. My server Tori was awesome in recommending food and very knowledgeable about the dishes. One of the owners asked of if I was being cared for, she was also sweet. Food was definitely delicious and it was plentiful. I ordered the steak and eggs with potatoes. The chimichurri sauce was a perfect addition. Steak chunks were tender!

We went for the first time on Mother's Day. Plenty of parking, and it looked great. Lots of seating as you wait for your table. We were told 45 minutes for the wait, which was fine for that day. We were seated within 30 minutes. I will say they have a poor choice in chairs, very uncomfortable. Our waiter did a poor job, we were pretty sure he was new, so we weren't too upset. The food, however, was delicious. My husband had the brisket bowl (I can't remember the name) and I had the shrimp and grits. I was getting lots of gumbo vibes from the grits but the sausage was sweeter than I was expecting. We definitely plan on coming back!

Let me just start by saying this—if The Olive Branch gets five stars from me today, it’s not because they dazzled me with their cinnamon sugar wizardry or blew my mind with an avant-garde avocado toast arrangement. No. This five-star rating rides on the back of one person: Tatiana. More on her in a second. Let’s rewind. I walked in thinking I might go full throttle—house-smoked brisket burrito, big breakfast energy, maybe even add some sweet on the side. But something told me to keep it lighter. And I’m glad I did. Because while the menu leans Texas-sized, my stomach was whispering minimalist gospel this morning. The Order: • Avocado Toast – Smashed avocado layered on wheat toast, topped with sunny-side up eggs, marinated tomatoes, microgreens, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. • Cinnamon Biscuit Bites – Fried biscuit chunks, cinnamon sugar, vanilla glaze. • Coffee – Straightforward, dark, and hot. • Orange Juice – A full glass, and then some. Let’s talk flavor. The avocado toast was clean, thoughtful, and well-balanced. The eggs were cooked just right, the yolks warm and golden. The tomatoes popped with acidity. The glaze added that sweet-tangy lift, and the microgreens? That’s where the dish showed some class. Nothing overcomplicated, just intentional. The kind of plate that lets your senses stretch slowly into the day. Now, the cinnamon biscuit bites? Beautiful to look at. Honestly, they should hang this skillet on the wall as art. But one bite in, and I knew I was in trouble. It was like being hugged by a sugar-coated sumo wrestler. Way too much. Way too sweet. I expected a nibble situation—something like four to six bites. Instead, they brought out a cast iron cauldron of dessert. I ordered it, so that’s on me. But no human should face that much glaze without a support group. The coffee hit the mark. Nothing fancy, no third-wave pretension—just a solid cup of comfort. I needed that balance after fighting the sugar avalanche. As for the juice—let’s just say I ordered a drink and got a whole orchard. Fresh, cold, good… and way more than I wanted. Waco does not play about portions. Atmosphere? Rustic-meets-industrial. Spacious. Clean lines. Brick and wood. Soft lighting. TVs in the back if you need some casual noise. Plenty of elbow room, which is rare and welcome. But none of that—none of it—would have stuck in my memory without Tatiana. She didn’t just show up with a smile. She arrived. Introduced herself. Warm, polite, completely unforced. The kind of presence that makes you feel human again in a world full of transactional interactions. I’ve had $200 meals in big cities that didn’t come with service that kind. She didn’t hover, didn’t rush, just existed in that perfect sweet spot of attentiveness and space. That’s why I’m giving five stars. If Tatiana hadn’t been there? Four. Easy. The cinnamon bites alone would’ve knocked a star off. That’s not a breakfast item—that’s a wedding cake’s evil cousin. But Tatiana raised the curve. She was the curve. So here it is: The Olive Branch isn’t perfect. The portions are big enough to scare a lumberjack. The sweet options could use a tone-down. And Waco, as a whole, seems to believe every breakfast should feed a family of four. But if you’re lucky enough to get Tatiana as your server, that meal’s going to hit different. It’s going to feel like it matters. And that’s worth five stars.

We first met The Olive Branch at an on-campus event, and the food was so good we just had to track it down. Our second date, however, was a bit of a marathon. Our weekend lunch party of three was seated right away, which was a great start! But then, we played the waiting game. It took 15 minutes to get menus, and then almost 50 more for our plates to finally make an appearance. Thankfully, the sandwiches and fries were hot and delicious. The salad, on the other hand, was an unremarkable third wheel.

Leah and her team at Olive Branch are AAMAZING! We used them to cater my daughter's wedding this past weekend and I could not have asked for better service and food! And the food.... oh my, SO GOOD! Everyone loved it and we're just so pleased! Leah is the BEST, from first correspondence email to the thank you the day after - always responsive and so accommodating with everything we needed.

Stopped in for brunch and it was fantastic. I had the Farmers Hash and it hit the spot. I noticed so many other dishes being served around me that I would love to come back and try, too. Service was great and coffee was excellent! There’s a reason there was a short wait for a table! Highly recommend.
