Kira and her team are absolutely amazing. The food has a very high gastronomic level - it is innovative and plentiful. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm, and the wine and drinks are superb. I cannot reccomend this hidden gem enough.

Great homemade organic food, old school location with lake views, price is fair, but in the slightly higher end taking drinks info account. Probably the best dining and service I've experienced in the region. Very well worth a visit.

Really nice place. The food is fantastic, it's only really small issues that would make the food 5 stars. The service is great. But the waiters seemed a little distracted. It didn't feel like they gave their attention when they came around. I like the place, but the decor could use a touch up and the music was really dated and didn't match the atmosphere.

Amazing restaurant. You can choose from a list of open sandwich. Each of them really delicious and huge portion. Waiters are really nice and attentive. You can taste the wine before taking your final choice, and can even look at the dessert plate before choosing which one you want. The owner often get out to great the new customers. Really recommended for a local experience !

This place gets 6 stars ⭐️. It was a rainy day and we came with a dog. Dogs are not allowed in restaurants in Denmark. We did not know that. The chef told us we could sit outside with blankets. We made that choice and it was wonderful. They did not had an English menu but the girl (Victoria)translated the whole menu. She gave us good advice over what are typically danish food. She was really good! Professional and very kind. She explained the ways and everything so clearly. The food was really good. We had the sandwiches menu and they were really good lots of toppings. I ask for a white wine and what kind I liked. She came with 2 options and I could have a taste. Overall this was a great experience! Lovely service.. and great food!

Really delicious lunch! Absolutely top quality food- only thing: for that price there was too little “fill” in that portion! Perfect amount of salmon and dip - but there should be min. 2 slices of toast with it instead of only one. Else everything else was perfect. Super cosy environment and very friendly staff.

Legit Mexican food in Lofoten — seriously. Visiting from LA, I thought bruh there’s no way. It was LEGIT — the salsa macha SLAPS. Got the taco plancha and 2 micheladas. My wife got palomas — delicious. If you’re nearby and miss good tacos stop by. Forgot to take pictures cuz I ate everything.

I had the salmon as a starter You get your money's worth but the asparagus was very disproportionate to the salmon The cream cheese was great and complimented the salmon greatly. It was much better when paired with the bread provided as the structure of the salmon and cream cheese required the sturdiness of the bread For main course I got the pepper steak I ordered medium rare but the steak was definitely more on the medium than the rare side. The vegetables on the side felt like garnish rather than a part of the meal as there was little to no flavor to find in them. The pepper sauce which gives the steak it's title was great with a lot of flavor packed in. The fries were crisp and delicious but I did have to specifically ask for a dipping sauce

When you charge 178 for æggekage you DO NOT NEED to charge 5 kr for a so called environmental fee that you added during Covid. None of the servers knew what it was and why it was charged. COVID is over. SO DROP IT!! The place is in general wwaaayyyy to expensive for what it is

Lovely cafe with beautiful design and delicious simple food! Service was friendly and professional.

We just popped in for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake. It had been a very busy day and they had no cake or cookies but they did offer us a bowl of salted almonds on the house which hit the spot. It's a nice place and I'd like to return to try out the menu which looks great with plenty of tapas type dishes.

Everything was great. The location of the cafe is fantastic especially if you can sut close to the canal. We enjoyed the food pretty much. However for the two smørrebrød we were charged 290 dkk instead of the offer which was 235 dkk. The reasoning was because we shared!! But we shared everything so I reduce one star because of poor management decision. The IPA beer was also on the pricy side. Everything wlse was great.

The location of the restaurant is easy to reach. Nearby there is a large parking space. We had a great dinner and good service. The food came quickly and was really good. Lots of choices. Inside it looks really good. Make a reservation because it’s really busy Dogs are not allowed in Denmark in the restaurant’s but you can sit on the terrace with heaters and blankets.

Super friendly staff. When I called to ask if they could accommodate the food intolerances of my white they said ‘we will take care of that, just come over. We had a lovely fish main course, sitting outside with our dog and were treated so kind. I wish we had restaurants in Belgium with the same attitude towards taking care of their customers with special needs. In Denmark this is more rule than exception.

Good restaurant with comfortable seats. The menu allows to choose among red meat and fish, some cheese, a little options for cake dessert. wine and other strong drinks are also available. You can eat inside but the tables are not so many or outside and there are a heater on the top to keep you warm.

Now I am only giving this place a two because of the unbelievably slow service. The food was excellent, first class for all 3 courses. The decor was interesting. The service was slow beyond words. We sat down just before 18:00. At 19:15 we were told the table would be needed at 8, we were pleased as we thought the service might get quicker. It didn't. We finally managed to get out about 20:30. Two and half hours for a three course meal is too slow.

One of the best meals I ever had, I ate there 2 weeks ago but still think about it. Will be coming back to visit silkeborg just to eat here.

THE FOOD TRAVELLER REVIEW Tried the traditional crispy pork. The pork is fried till crispy and nice to eat. But just quite salty for me though. You can also choose to dine on your own boat, indoor or outdoor.

A bit of a mixed bag. The area is drop dead gorgeous but there actually little reason to eat here. Go somewhere else public and take in the scenery if that's the primary reason you're considering going. We were greeted by a grumpy old lady who seemed like she owned the place but didn't know she was a hostess at a hospitality venue that serves guests. The rest of the staff was super friendly though and they deserve a positive mentioning. The food is sadly mediocre and more quantity and quality plus it comes with petty non-sharing policy. Alienating customers and encouraging food waste for insignificant extra revenue is not sustainable.

Me and my family went to the restaurant through "Dining week", which made the visit quite affordable and brilliant in terms of the foods' excellent quality compared to the price. I've been to the beautifully located restaurant twice, and both times I have found 2/3 of the courses very delicious. I'm just a regular guest, but I definitely recommend that small spot in the south end of Silkeborg.

Very nice restaurant. We had their five course meal from the somewhat small menu and a bottle of amazing South African Syrah. Service was very attentive. Only point of contention for us was that the main course, only described as pork, chanterelle and corn had a very fatty piece of pork breast that neither of us could enjoy. Bit risky if you ask me but maybe a danish delicacy. Not the Chefs fault we didnt like it. The mushrooms abd corn were very good nonetheless. Over all we very much enjoyed the meal and atmosphere.

Awesome cute little Japanese restaurant ! The service is super friendly and quick. The food feels very fresh with high quality ingredients. The Tonkotsu ramen is incredibly tasty. Prices are fair for the main dishes, however the portions are a little bit on the smaller side, so the bill does add up. Some side dishes feel a bit pricey for what they are.

It was a solid ramen, we had 30 min to spend in the downtown and decided to grab something lite. Food came fast and was tasty.

Everywhere is an information that place is open until 21:00 but when we entered before 20:00 employee said that they are already closing and that restaurant is open until eight always… such a disappointment when you drive here all the way from horsens just to hear that the opening hours is one big lie…

That was one of the best sandwiches of my life. I'm Canadian and this was very tender back bacon....man the flavour!!!

We booked a table for six the same day, we wanted to eat. When we arrived, we could see that the staff was quite busy. After a few minutes, we were seated around our table in a cosy corner with couch and soft chairs. The waiter said that she was very sorry, but the wait for food was around 30 minutes after ordering. We said that we were fine. Therefore, we speeded up the prices of ordering our food. But already after 20 minutes, our tapas and our beef sandwich were served. The waiter was smiling and joking with us, and the service was great. The price level is also very reasonable. We paid approximately €168 for 6 people including drinks. Make sure to be there between 5-6 PM, as there is happy hour. Unfortunately, we just missed that, as we arrived at 7 PM. All in all a cosy place where you can also borrow drawings, paper and different kind of games. The interior was cosy and kept in a classic café style.

The food looked really good and the ratings were decent so we went here to enjoy some lunch. The waitress however ignored us and continued to not serve us for 20+ minutes. Then we left and went to a different restaurant. I understand it can get busy and I don’t expect to have my food very fast but not even being greeted and getting the menu is very disappointing. The people next to us were also confused when they were asked if they were ready to order and said that they ordered 10 minutes ago.. Can’t say much about the food and drinks since we were never served. They however looked quite good.

We got so much, and could not be happier with it all! A great, tasty, perfectly textured sourdough bread, a cardamom bun packed with flavour, a wiener, almond thing to die for, some pizza dough to take home for a simple dinner, and a recipe book for later. 10/10 would recommend!

The rooms are spacious and quite nice, but due to the historical nature of the place, they are also very dark and there is no TV, fridge or other modern amenities there and the furniture is more of historic interest than practical usefulness to the business traveler. I’d happily come back for the food, the service and the scenery, but I would not recommend it for extended family vacations or business trips. The clientele appears to mainly consist of seniors and there is nothing wrong with that, as long as you know what you’re getting. The history and the location of this place is hard to beat and the service is very good indeed - plus, they allow pets in some rooms.

For such a good location to be it was a disappointing experience overall.

Visited with extended family as part of our Morfar’s memorial weekend and it was a disaster from start to finish. We arrived at 7.30pm on a Friday and only 3 other tables were occupied. We were greeted by a young waitress who took our drinks orders and we then had to wait 50 minutes to get them. They didn’t have any bottles of the house red OR house white (despite it being a very limited wine list of about 5 wines) and in the end we had to settle for alternative wine options/carafes. Our food took about an hour to arrive and when it did our experiences were mixed: the pizzas were generally good but the pasta dishes less so. My cousin’s carbonara had just ONE piece of bacon in it and no pepper. When this was raised with the owner he stated that salt and pepper weren’t listed on the menu as ingredients included in the dish and so we shouldn’t have expected it. There was a lot of confusion when the food arrived as staff just shouted out the dish number from the menu (which we hadn’t been told to remember) and they couldn’t tell us what each dish was. We ended up asking for a menu so we could work out which dish belonged to who. One pizza was completely wrong and when the correct one came out, it had bacon on it which wasn’t in the listed ingredients! When the manager was asked why the wrong pizza had been delivered to the table he stated that he couldn’t read the handwriting of the waiting staff so he’d had to guess! At the end of the night, we complained to the manager about our awful experience and he just made excuse after excuse refusing to apologise or accept any fault. At the end of the discussion he agreed to a 50% discount on the misdelivered pizza but stated that he ‘wasn’t making Italian food in Rome - he was making Italian food in Silkeborg’…… The restaurant is called Roma but it seems customers shouldn’t go expecting Italian cuisine of any note. Stay away unless you want a confusing and chaotic evening out.

Excellent Vietnamese food with a Nordic kitchen twist. This brand new restaurant further adds to the already impressive array of excellent Vietnamese restaurants in Aarhus. The decor, menu, and presentation are a mixture of cozy Scandinavian and authentic Vietnamese. The service was prompt and dishes excellent. The simplified menu and food introductions are perfect for those who may be new to Vietnamese cuisine. We had a pho and a bun and both where top-notch, fresh, and beautiful. I also really like the concept of their small plate sampler. I think my only suggestion would be to explore the fushion theme further, as blending local ingredients (ramsløg pho anyone?) would really set this place apart. Overall, a fantastic place, although a little pricer than other local offerings.

We had reserved a table for 3 for dinner. The staff is very polite and quick, so, kudos to that! Each of us got a main dish, and we also got two appetisers. My main dish was the one with the spring rolls (number 8 on the menu i think). Overall the food was good. The appetiser that looks like an omelate in the photo was nothing special, but the other one with the veggies was good! The main dish was generally good quality and I enjoyed it. Nevertheless, the pieces of pork were not the best (very fatty part of pork, I couldn't eat it).

It has a good all-round dishes, have been here a couple of times, their day-bow is biggg and I was really full. But their Pho today is not at their best, as an authentic Vietnamese, I feel it has quite a lot of oil left in the soup that shouldn't be there, the chef should take the fat aside and make a clear broth so it could be better.

And I could have had another portion of sauce, because otherwise the noodles were pretty tasteless without it. It has too much noodles and not enough of the vegetables and beef/pork. Which is disappointing, because that's the exciting and delicious part, right!? I had to ask three times for more fresh chili and Siracha sauce. Because the chef/waiter didn't bring enough of it. I also don't think a fancy noodle salad is worth 106 kroner. Impression of the staff: He obviously cared a lot about the food. He told everyone in our group the best way to blend/mix our food. A lovely place and a great buffet selection, pretty much as everything you will need including desserts. The host was fantastic, the place was clean and tidy and I will be highly recommending Fu Lia silkeborg to everyone.

I with almost 50 years experience as Chef de Parti Saucier & Chef de Parti Garde Mange in a variety of hotels and restaurants in Europe and beyond and my son 25 years spent in Danish a la carte restaurants. We can both immediately tell the difference between a genuine egg yolk and butter based sauce and a pot full of garbage whipped up from a powder or dished out of a bucket. Should the anonymous owner wish, one of us could trot along and educate him in that which he obviously knows very little.

We have tried 2 diffrent pizzas and adana kebap with my friend living in Silkeborg. She told that they were good but it was dissappointing.Pizzas were full of sauce named dressing so all the pizzas had the similar tastes. Kebab was awful it was like a meatball not like the one in Türkiye. The waiter girl was different also, she was chewing gum while talking to us that was really weird.

Mixed grill is ok but lamb chops is to prefer, quality and price wise. Very reasonable for daily dinner, but not if you are going to have a feast. Friendly atmosphere and service.

I really like the concept of running sushi and this one has a fine quality. I also like that they have an upper running section for Chinese finger food. Tasty. A plus is the standard fee for the running sushi so no surprises at the end. One definitely gets more than enough to feel full. It can get a bit crowded on peak time so it's better to reserve a table.

One of the best sushi restaurants in Silkeborg. I have had most of their food and it is authentic and nice tasting. Next up is the sashimi.

It’s the worst Burger King I ever been, but unfortunately is the only one close to me so as a vegetarian I like their burger. Not so many people working there, seems that are always new people but never enough. They are always very confused with the orders, my order often comes wrong and I need to complain, the waiting time is a lot more than they tell us. They are usually stressed working, and are impatient with the costumers. Very very bed service in this place, unfortunately because I love burger king. The vegetarian menu, they don’t have the nuggets that they usually have in others countries, it’s very poor menu for vegetarian people, many different ones but the vegan/vegetarian protein are the same for all of them, different than others Burger Kings, like in Germany there are many more options.

Delicious Danish sandwiches and excellent, attentive service. It was our first time in Denmark, and we wanted to try the famous smørrebrød for lunch. Holgers Kro did not disappoint. The humble rye bread sandwiches get an uptown makeover at Holgers Kro and they’re delicious! The waiter took the time to explain the ingredients, suggest what to drink with the food, and give us insight to Danish culture. Before we left, he gave us a map and pointed out places we should visit while in Silkeborg. If you want to experience high quality Danish food with a warm welcome, definitely go eat at Holgers Kro. Velbekomme!

Very good beer. A bit expensive for them, but it's all fresh on tap - they get it delivered from not too far away. Lots to choose from in terms of beers and ales. Not sure if it still applies but you could get snacks for free after you'd bought a certain number of rounds. The pretzel and cheese sauce was nice. Not eaten a meal here but it's all traditional Danish/German food, and the menu looks pretty decent with reasonable prices. Extremely cozy. Would come here more often but it's simply out of my price range, so it's one for special occasions.

I had found by google this lovely restaurant with good beer and actually as guest we got there everything what we expected. Service good, burger good, beer good, also stuff very friendly and helpful and very cosy place. Definitely satisfied.
