The starters are delicious. Service was good. The ribeye steak looks more like entercote was tender and melts in your mouth. The only major issue that ruined the whole experience is how salty was the sauce, you can get rid of the sauce because the steak was soaked in it. The desert was ok nothing special. The washroom was kitcheny!!

Good food in a nice ambience! The staff here speak English as well and were very courteous and friendly. The interior is tasteful but has a very relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a nice night out with family or friends. I ordered the tenderloin steak with a side of grilled vegetables and loved it. Husband ordered the wild salmon but found the sides to be too creamy for his liking. The chocolate mousse with almond brittle and passion fruit was a nice combination.

The mood of the resataurant is modern and very nice. Reasonable price with really nice steak. My favorite place to enjoy the dry aging steak! Other dishes are also good too.

I was with a group so was disappointed with a set menu offering vegan curry or veil schnitzel; both were so so. Some of the steaks being delivered to other tables looked nice. However the starters were nice particularly the prawn wrapped in stringy potato and garlic mayo, yummy..

For the appetizer, I highly recommend the fig and goat cheese salad, it’s beautifully presented and the taste is purely satisfying. My husband ordered the garlic shrimp salad and he seemed to enjoy it. They serve you their homemade bread and red beet spread. My husband ordered their Kaiserschnitzle served with slices of roasted and fried potatoes and a well dressed salad. I ordered the lamb Wienerschnitzel served with a creamy vinegar potato salad and a green salad. The appetizers and the main course were delicious, so we thought just order one dessert for both of us to share. The dessert also didn’t disappoint us, it was tasty but my husband and I were very full so we forcefully finished the dessert. One thing, I must say is that people are allowed to smoke outside and that’s very frustrating to be around when you want to enjoy a nice meal. It would be nice if they prohibited smoking outside as well.

Overhyped by a lot. Mostly, there are no decent restaurants in Bochum, so this is a hip place. In any larger city, they would die. Poor service, arrogant, really think they are something when they are mostly an average restaurant. The food is decent but not more. Attitude is mostly the problem. If you go to actual top places you will be disappointed. If you are a country pumpkin or dont usually dine in top-notch places, you will love it.

Today I had a superb vegan 3-course dinner here. Respect to the kitchen staff! €35,- including two drinks is very reasonable. The courses were well balanced, good size portions and really well prepared. Not just any kitchen can improvise a well balanced vegan dinner. Friendly and quick serving. I'm very happy I went here and I certainly will eat here again.

Location: centrally located, yet off the main street. Tucked away in the peace of a little alley. Service: Attentive, pleasant and knowledgable! I am still confused about the many varieties of beer. The young lady was able to give me a primer on the key features of each type so that I was able to reach a decision. Very professional and impressive! Vibe: the interior has a warm and cozy atmosphere. Tables of thick slabs of wood, large and medium groups of people chatting away. The house is full of history. The outdoor seats look over a T-crossing with some mild traffic that adds some animation to the scene rather than being disrupting (unless someone honks, but that didn’t happen often). Food: My salad was fresh and the portion was satisfying. Everything is served in proper tableware. Great for colleague groups, friend groups and couples. May not be the best space for young kids if I have to be honest.

We we hiking in the area and had dinner here. We had rietkoetter Pfanne und Käse Spätzle. It was was an amazing dinner. They served a small salad and bread with the food. The salad was great too. The service was outstanding. We enjoyed the atmosphere and had a nice time. We highly recommend eating here. They do have a great vegetarian pretty big menu too. The cheese of my Spätzle was fresh. Really really great. The portions are huge.

I tried Cauliflower Steak with hashbrown! Very delicious! Desserts have Pina Cota, Tiramusu and Creme Brule! All are good! Gulp it down with local Mortiz Fiege Hellis beer!

I have been to Tucholsky a couple times and i always had a great experience with the food. This time, however, I must say I was disappointed. The lemon risotto was extremely acidy and boring. It was not enjoyable and I would not recommend it.

It's a nice place to eat and they have a lot of stuff with big portions. Though the food was way too heavy and I had a stomachache afterwards (I ordered Italian scrumbled eggs). One thing I definitely didn't like: the waiter brought us water without asking first and without telling that it would cost 7 euros... The coffee was charged more than it was on the menu. So... I think I'm not coming again despite a lot of good options.

Absolutely magnificent place. Plenty of different foods served, although the truth is I come here for the excellent craft beers and it’s probably the best place in town to enjoy them. Very friendly and professional staff, so that’s covered too, but did I mention the delicious craft beer? Especially nice because the interior is lovely as well and outside seating (even though a bit noisier) is equally as pleasant.

The chicken dumplings were so Good.it had 5 pieces. The rice roll was Nothing special. It had lot of mint leaves and little Chicken inside. The sauces were good for both dumplings and Chicken rolls.

I know people specially come to eat here from different parts of NRW and Germany. -Great Vietnamese coffee -Good list of items on the menu. My buddy and I really enjoyed the wide range of desserts and will be coming once again for a special treat. We surely appreciated our food here and would recommend it.

I have tried to book a table here numerous times and was never successful. I now understand why. This is a very small, intimate restaurant that offers top quality food by friendly knowledgeable servers. It is expensive but the price is definately worth it. I would additionally recommend the wine pairing the selection is very well thought through and there wasn't a bad wine among them. It wouldn't have surprised me if this was a Michelin star restaurant. The best restaurant in bochum in my opinion.

We were looking for a place to eat in Bochum and we came across this restaurant. The service was great even stepping up and speaking English for my fiancé. The food was excellent and we had an overall great experience.

Amazing find. We went here on a whim for a late dinner, because that's one of the few restaurants in the area that are open late, and were surprised to find a really nice ambiance and spectacularly good Italian food. The menu offers a lot of variety, certainly a few levels above the standard, run-off-the-mill Italian fare you find in many other Italian restaurants around here. The service was a little bit slow, but otherwise very pleasant and attentive. We'll most definitely be coming back!

Incredibly good Italian cuisine, perfect place for dinner before the Starlight Express show! Extremely tasty dishes, with craft beers and wines from Italy. The friendly owner of Trattoria Momo came out and greeted us and our kids warmly. The food was so delicious. There were several selections of craft beer direct from Tuscany - and as a beer lover and brewer myself, these were a highlight of the meal. They expedited the dishes when the show time approached, and we made it on time. I couldn't be happier with Trattoria Momo!

It is a restaurant with really tasty dishes inside a traditional house. The food was so delicious, and it is tipical german cuisine. The waiters are so nice and you can go alone or with your family.

Of course that part of the animal is very high on fat and streaky, but this one was extreme. Also they haven't ask me, how I woul like it and I got it VERY well done. With the knife provided, Wich was everything else than sharp, I had quite some trouble eating it. Now, let's keep in mind that it's an classic German restaurant and we Germany traditionally overcook everything. Some like it that way. The green pepper sauce did taste a lot like they have used additives to make it thicker. It tasted kind of artificial. Over all, I wasn't to happy about it. My wife had a duck leg wich also was extremely high on fat. But over all she did like it. The vegetables were great, the soup was very good and my fried potatoes with bacon were really good,too. So, all of the things I didn't like weren't a question of quality, I guess, but just a question of my own taste. Next time I'll order something I know, so I can give a more objective rating.

We found this nice restaurant while we were walking, the location is amazing, the staff is very special ( the owner was very decent and friendly ), the food was good the dessert was very good and the atmosphere was awesome . FOOD & DRINKS This is one of the Greek restaurants that don't offer Gyro. Instead the focus is more on meat & seafood dishes. We ordered several seafood items and a few meat appetizer. To top it off I wanted to try their Moussaka. To make it simple, everything tasted fresh with the exception of the Moussaka which isn't a surprise. Usually the Moussaka is baked beforehand, sometimes even one day before, then sliced and reheated per order. The flavor profile of the dishes aren't really spectacular but rather settle and simple. The meat in some dishes was a bit dry. SERVICE The owner is a real character who likes to joke with his regular customers or if you joke around with him. We were here on a very busy day but service was still friendly and didn't let us wait for too long. ATMOSPHERE If you come here definitely reserve a table in the outside patio on a sunny day. Sitting there almost makes you feel as if you were dining at a restaurant in Greece. RATING Four stars for a solid performance. As for the culinary journey nothing outstanding but a little gem if you want to escape the city feel.

I lived in Japan for 3 years. So I know what a good ramen tastes like. At this restaurant, I ordered ramen (Chashu), gyozas and a Kirin beer. Unfortunately, the ramen was not tasty. Also, the pork did not seem fresh. It had an unusual taste. The small gyozas looked and tasted like one of the Yasai Gyoza brands I usually buy at Go Asia supermarket. They were probably the same. The service was good. A very helpful young lady was attentive to my needs. The ambiance was good. I would not recommend the ramen at all. I paid 27 euros including tip.

FOOD & DRINKS I simply love burgers with bacon and a sunny side up egg. Changing things up a bit to my taste wasn't an issue at all. They also have a good selection of vegetarian and vegan options which also covers their selection of milkshakes! It is always sad if you go to a burger place and your vegetarian friend only has one option while your vegan friends can't even enjoy the milkshake variations. They didn't ask how I want my burger so I had to trust the cook that it it will be served just how I like it and yes it did. It was still juicy and lightly pink in the middle. Not raw. The veggies and the patty tasted fresh. The bun was alright. The sunny side up egg almost perfect. The bacon could be crispier. Maybe a sprinkle of salt and white pepper would have bring out more flavor but I really can't complain. SERVICE I rarely have been to a restaurant with that level of friendliness. We have visited Carmello over 2 years ago and we still think about it as one of the best restaurants we ever visited. We have ordered pizzas, which quickly became our top ever eaten pizzas. As we later discovered even visiting Italy couldn't dethrone Carmello's pizza from the first place. The house wine was delicious as was sorbet with limoncello. The serving portions were big and we were happy that we have hotel nearby after seeing the glasses. The staff was very friendly despite some minor issues with language (not every server was speaking English). We felt taken care of as guests from the start to the very end of our visit. We would highly recommend visiting Carmelo and trying it for yourself. The Bochum isn't very high on our travel list but we know that if the opportunity arrive we would return to Caramelo as fast as we could. I would rate it 100000/5 but the Google don't let me :)

This has a lovely location - right across the nicely designed Stadt Park Bochum. We enjoy sitting out on the patio and treating ourselves to some of our favorites. They have lovely salads and the pork with peppercorn sauce is unbeatable. Another favorite is their fresh tomato soup. Prices are very reasonable for the top quality of food. Lastly, service is always pleasant and fast. Just make a reservation if you plan to dine on Friday or Saturday - they are popular and with good reason!

I’m not sure how you can make a Diavolo pizza (hot pepperoni salami, bell pepper, red onions, jalapeños, chili mayo) bland, but they did. The crust was a bit overcooked and lacked any flavor, the sauce tasted like watered down tomato soup, and there was absolutely zero kick to the spicy parts. I gave it one star because it was edible and didn’t make me sick. The hostess was friendly, as were the cooks. The space is interesting and well laid out. These two things though can’t make up for the bad food. I foolishly passed up going to nearby L’Osteria (ate at a different one last night and wanted a change) and there won’t be a third trip to a Vapiano (had a similarly bad experience at another location).

The food was not as tasty as I am used to it from Vapiano. One reason could be that I ordered "Zoodles", which are a Zucchini made Noodle Substitute. Therefore the dish was very liquid, almost like a soup. However, the location and service is good.

Der Service und das Ambiente sind nicht empfehlenswert. Auf dem Bild sieht man einmal den Tisch den wir verlassen haben. Da sollte man mal überlegen , ob das so cool ist oder ob man mal umstellt. Das Essen ist schön angerichtet , wie auf dem Bild zu sehen ist und war wirklich lecker . Schade das es so gelaufen ist . Es wurde sich zwar halbherzig entschuldigt aber das klang eher aus dem Stress heraus hervor gewürgt. Hier wäre auch nett gewesen, einfach dem Gast als Wiedergutmachung eine Kleinigkeit dar zu bieten. Ein Espresso und wir hätten alles vergessen. So leider nicht schade .
