Great place. Solid vegetarian and vegan options. They even had gluten free options available. They seem to have a great spread of ice creams, beer and cocktails - but we didn’t try these because we were stuffed with the mains :) Will definitely come back!

Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated (seating full 2000, one server). Once a large group left, we were able to sit. Server was working hard, but did a good job, took our order quick, food delivered fast. Got vegetarian burgers, fried potatoes. Burger was OK, potatoes we very good. Got "Smile" beers, sign said that they were Slovenian Corona. They were pretty similar.

The food was great, and our waiter was pretty friendly. However, the overall service was poorly managed. After waiting 45 minutes for a table (very understandable on a busy night), our group of 7 was finally seated. When we began ordering (drinks first), the waitress refused to take our food order and instead proceeded to take orders from 6 other people who had been seated long after us. This left us feeling overlooked despite the otherwise pleasant atmosphere

Great burger joint. As someone with celiac disease, I appreciated the many gluten free options including burger and beer. I was not expecting this in such a small town (:

They have average food for a bit higher prices. But indeed Bovec is an expensive destination to sleep over there and eat outside. The 4€ price for a lemonade seems to be exagerated.

To start I'd like the say the staff were accommodating. The waiter let us change seats from a dark corner to a lighter area which we do appreciate as it was a larger table. Food was nice....especially the garlic fries. I had the chicken burger . Nice and crispy with good coleslaw. Partner had the beef burger it was OK but he didn't love the sauce. Overall a nice meal and was very reasonably priced. Lasko beer 0% is very good.

This local village restaurant is a hidden gem. Delicious local food and lovely views of the mountains. We ate local trout and venison - both from the valley - absolutely delicious! It was so good we came back two days later to celebrate a birthday! Would highly recommend

Very nice resturant, with good food, especially the lamb which they sell in the weekend. More interesting food that most of the very touristy places nearby in Bovec.

A great restaurant, the food is very good, i was with a group of 3 people and we got the calamari platter for 2 people and the trout, everything was amazing and tasted very fresh. The review is mainly about the restaurant. There is no service, the tablecloth is made of plastic, and the food is served on dirty plates. But the worst part is the food itself - we were served something made from frozen seafood. The food was over-salted, over-cooked, and covered in oil. There is no greeting or farewell.

Excellent traditional Slovenian food in a relaxed, friendly setting. We had goulash, cheese dumplings, and a local dessert — all were filling and packed with flavor. The terrace offers nice views of the Bovec town center. Service was quick, polite, and informative. Menu offers vegetarian options too. It’s a solid choice whether you’re passing through or staying a few nights. Feels like real local hospitality.

Nice & modern rooms with perfect noiseless air condition. Friendly and very helpful staff. The restaurant is great and well visited - I'd recommend to make a booking in advance. We stayed several days, so had the chance to try the menu and everything was good! Good job guys, keep up the good work.

Nice dinner meal, we took one of traditional slovenian meals and it was nice. Also delicious home made pistacio ice cream. Nice, relaxing and quiet athmosphere. The waitress was very nice with a kind snile, we were so happy to get there after not nice situation with rude service in different restaurant.

In the middle of a downpour, on a covered terrace just back from the main road, we found refuge and sustenance at Gostišče Sovdat. A traditional hearty stew, Jota, served with polenta cakes, was delicious, as was my wife’s whole fried fresh trout. For dessert, we split an order of Bovški Krafi, a delectable pocket of soft dough filled with dried cider pears, apples, and raisins. It was all remarkably affordable. A great experience.

Mushroom soup – homemade, tasty, rich in mushrooms, real mushrooms. Viennese-style pork schnitzel – juicy, crispy. We poured a few spoonfuls of mushroom soup over it, which made it even juicier. Portion for two. French fries – OK. Cabbage salad – thinly sliced cabbage, fresh, crunchy. Portion for two. Apple pie – the pastry was completely soggy, ice cream was OK. Service was fast and efficient.

Cute restaurant right in the center of the town. The food (mixed grill and the trout) and wine were absolutely delicious and the waiters were super friendly. Everything arrived quickly and portions are generous. Would 100% recommend this place and we’ll likely come again to try some of the other dishes on the menu.

Great restaurant, it has a terrace behind the building and away from the main street, which is perfect. All the food was delicious. We arrived by bike without a reservation and they had no problem finding us a table.

We didn't have reservation (as said in many other reviews) but we were gently taken care by the waiter Katrin - and after that, a man with white hair and pig tail asked if we need a table and told us to wait for a few minutes that he will arrange it. Very kind of his part. Katrin did our whole service and maybe she was the best part of our experience. Extremely kind - she even noticed we were Brazilians and we start to chat. She was always very cautious when approaching us, gave clever suggestions about our orders (we order the trout tartare, trout hambúrguer, lemon gnocchi and suckling pig leg) and showed so much knowledge about everything on the menu. It was a lovely surprise! In the end, she gifted us with a home-made liquor, made with flower of the region and it was fantastic! The aroma and flavor were inebriant. Although we much enjoyed the food, the service, presented by Katrin was the star of the night. Again, we thank you.

This is the best restaurant in the action village capital of Bovec. While much of the town focuses on burgers and pizzas, we were able to try some delicious dishes here that were more reflective of the local cuisine. We went two nights in a row so were able to sample quite a lot of the menu. I would recommend the starter platter and any of the trout dishes. Also, you might be missing salad by this stage of your travels through Slovenia so the salad is a big hit with the delicious apple Cider vinegar with infused herbs and garlic. The wines are also very good (recommend the Sivi Pinot and Zelen). We sat in the outside area the first night which has a great lively atmosphere while the second night we were seated in the restaurant which was far quieter but had a lovely view of the Main Street in Bovec.

Had a delicious meal of trout and my friend had the tomato and burrito gnocchi. Really good fresh food, lovely local wine (Zelen) and fantastic chocolate fondant (souffle) for dessert. Lovely staff, just make sure you book in busy periods as they only just fit us in!

We had an exceptional time here! Gorgeous ambience- the restaurant is lovely and bathrooms very pretty too. We were out of luck with other places being closed and came here, hopeful. Katrine was a gem and put us on the list, and we had a charming table with absolutely delicious food. We had the schnitzel and the fresh pasta and the deer goulash and trout. All divine! Thank you for a terrific meal, and for letting us in so late!

We stumbled upon Letni VRT on our first day in Bovec — tired from an early start and in desperate need of a good meal. What we found was so much more. A delicious pasta lunch, outstanding service, and the kind of attention that makes you feel like family. Between the excellent wine recommendations and what might just be the best olive oil and fresh bread we’ve ever tasted, we were instant fans. Naturally, one visit wasn’t enough. We came back for dinner. This time for perfectly prepared Slovenian trout, served with potatoes and greens that were every bit as impressive as the main course. Everything about Letni VRT - the food, the warmth, the beautiful garden setting — made it unforgettable. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for great service, an exceptional meal, and that magical “we found the perfect spot” feeling.

I only visited the restaurant. When looking for a more sit-down place along the main road in Bovec, this place seemed to be one of the only available places. The food was quite good, the initial bread was nice. The game with polenta, and the frika, were quite tasty. Service was decently nice, perhaps on the slow side but nothing too severe. I think it does the job if you want to try the local food.

We went for lunch. Service was thoughtful and gave us good suggestions of what would suit us. The wine was excellent, some of the best I've had in Slovenia. Nice bread and olives. The trout fillet was lovely, complimented by some nice vegetables. We also had the chicken, which was a bit salty however. We were charged £1.50 for the tap water, which was a little surprising. But overall an excellent lunch.

Service was pleasant, but we've waited 1 hour for our dishes - we should be informed if it take so long.Unfortunately fish mix with unprepared shrimps - dark vein not removed - unacceptable. Trout fillet decent. Need improvements.

We didn't stay in the hotel so our experience is just about the food. In 2005 we were in Bovec the first time, and we had some nice diners here. Now we returned with our family, three handsome boys, and were curious about the food... No disappointment, the contrary.. again, really nice food and (due to the nice weather) were able to sit outside... Friendly waiters and delicious food, what do you need more? For a restaurant in the mountains the seafood was very good! The soça river is gorgeous but does not provide seabass or brim :-) We enjoyed our mixed seafood plate and the mixed grill was awesome too according to our sons. Bovec offers more nice restaurants, but 'chez Martin' is a banger.

When we arrived, almost all the tables outside were marked as reserved and empty. When they heard that we didn't speak German or Italian (my wife was on the phone), they offered us the option to sit inside. After an hour, the tables outside were still unoccupied. We waited about 40 minutes for our food. The food wasn't good anyway. The trout was muddy, overcooked. The potatoes were cold. After ordering, they brought us 4 mini breads, 2 olives and a small bowl of some kind of fat as a starter. We thought it was a normal courtesy of the establishment, but the surprise came when we paid. They charged us 3.80 euros for it and argued that it was listed on the menu as mandatory. The waiter was arrogant the whole time. We didn't feel at all comfortable and welcome there.

Avoid avoid! Staff were extremely rude and food below average at best. Worst service we’ve experienced in Slovenia. We have found Slovenian’s to be super friendly on our trip. But I’m not sure what happened at this place!

We had a terrible experience at this restaurant. We ordered some local meals. the soup and mains were not good at all, tasted like microwaved food. I barely touched my meal and I didn't want to continue eating in this place. we received appalling service and the same day in the evening and one of us experienced stomach issues. avoid this place!

As soon as we stepped into this restaurant, a friendly waiter greeted us and led us to our table. The prices were reasonable for a restaurant in one of Slovenia’s most popular tourist spots. After grabbing the menus and ordering some delicious food and drinks, we had a short wait while our order was being prepared. Our waitress was a young, black-haired girl who was incredibly cute, friendly, attentive, and, most importantly, professional and helpful. Once our food arrived, it was absolutely amazing! The pizza was fantastic, the grilled squid was tasty and delicious, and the gnocchi with bolognese sauce was amazing, tasty, and delicious. I highly recommend this place if you’re nearby!

Our rafting company recommended us this place and we were very satisfied. One of the best cevapcici of my life! We also had some pizzas and salads, all very tasty.

This restaurant was by far the best we hadduring our 1-week stay in Slovenia, everything was on point. The grilled trout was so fresh and delicious, the čevapčiči (meatballs) were tasty and juicy and the mushroom soup was the best we've had in our lives!!! The staff were very friendly and the service was very quick. Unfortunately they don't open on a Tuesday, or we would have come to this place every day!

He gets heated milk - local culture - cold milk comes with comment "You didn't say cold..." and with rolling eyes - yeah, we're tourists 👋🤣 Me: "The fish was perfect" Waitress: "I know." + *smile* 😂 You just have to experience this Yourself. Loud atmosphere with 80's classics. Like a classic diner. Did a short movie with my kid. Enjoy!

Very nice restaurant with excellent food and fair prices. We've been here for the 3rd time within two days as it is so good. For the evening it's worth reserving, otherwise you might not get a space. But the food is really worth it.

Great family owned and operated restaurant. Has been owned by the same family for over 400 years. Daughter of the owner was very helpful with local suggestions and what was homemade in the kitchen. Check with the staff for local specials. Perfect location in a beautiful mountain valley. Highly recommended.

The restaurant has an old-school vibe, and the prices are in line with Slovenia. The food, however, was rather plain and uninspired. I had beef soup with noodles for €3.5, and it was literally just water with noodles and no flavor. My friend had gnocchi with mushrooms, which were also quite ordinary. Overall, the price-to-quality ratio was not great. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful, although it took a little while to get the menu at the beginning. Parking is available right in front of the restaurant.

During our bike day we stopped for a late lunch. It was much better than I expected. My gnocci was really good, it definitely felt like homemade. Very very good. The turkey with the cheese sauce tasted awesome! The dessert, the gibanica oh my god. Its a nice portion, too much after a main course, but so so goood. Very kind service. Recommended!

Had rumpsteak and calamari, it was 4/5 regarding quantity and quality. BUT, we had a super nice and friendly waiter, and the local sweet doughs for desert with pears and walnuts were out of this world!

I will not describe my emotions when visiting this place, just the facts . The table we were seated at was not clean. At the meeting the waiter did not look at us very dry and quietly said hello and that was the end of the service. From our company I ordered a trout and I was told that it is local from the river Socha. I waited for my fish for 50 minutes and honestly already wanted to leave. My buddies ate half-saturated and very salty cevapchichi. But at least they had something to eat and I sat at an empty table. After an hour of waiting, they brought me the fish. I should have listened to my inner voice and left here an hour ago. The fish was dry, terribly over-salted on top and it was impossible to chew it. This product had nothing to do with trout, which is found in the river Socha and before cooking had obviously been in the freezer for a long time. I tried to politely explain to the waiter that it was impossible to eat it. The waiter replied that the fish should be like this 😅. It's up to you to decide whether to come here or not, we had a very negative experience.

We stopped in for a late dinner and drink and enjoyed our meal. Fun atmosphere outside at communal tables. Beer, burger and fries were delicious. Hit the spot after a busy day of traveling.

Great hostel, where the common spaces are cleaned properly everyday. We had booked a private double room for one week. Of course the rooms are not as well equipped as in hotels, but there is everything you need. From a night stand and lamp next to the bed to shelfs for your stuff in the private rooms. Hairdryer in the shared bathroom and a well equipped kitchen plus a spacious living room with couch, TV, some games, dinner table and drying rack. Also the staff is really friendly and helpful! For the location, of course it's super useful to be right in the center of the city, but if you prefer a very calm environment, bear in mind there are always lots of guests in the bar. The rooms were still quiet. We only missed a water boiler in the kitchen for a quick tea but it's nothing the stove can't fix :)

It was actually a nice stay. At first we were a little group inside. But then other of our travel group came one by one to the bar to try the different beers. When the weather was better we sat outside then. Four of us had smash burgers, which were really very good and came with fries. But in the end 6 burgers were booked in the system and the last of the group had to pay for those two burgers left in the system. I absolutely cannot understand how this can happen. Especially as the drinks were all booked correctly. In the end the staff wasn't open to arguments, kind of unfriendly and made one of our girls pay for burgers no one had.

Great micro brew pub located in the heart of Bovec. Beer, staff and location are great. Had the veg smash burger and it was very good. Beers reminded us of home. Get there early, it fills to capacity by 1830.

Great selection of craft beers, excellent fries, and a solid smash burger. The outdoor seating on the square has a nice atmosphere and was packed both evenings. The staff were very friendly, but clearly overwhelmed – we had to wait a long time for drinks and to place our order. Adding more waitres would definitely help. Otherwise, a great place we'd be happy to return to.

Absolutely loved this bar! We had an assortment of flights to make sure we got to try every single beer. This place really knows how to make good beer and we were blown away by the depth in flavors. The food (only served until 9pm) was also really good, as were the cocktails. If you are in town, do yourself a favor and check this place out.

I had high hopes. The place was extremely busy but we were able to get a seat on shared tables. It was table service and we were served within 10 mins. We had a couple of beers each and also ordered the smash burger and fries. It was good value and nicely cooked but unfortunately the burger was highly Salted which ruined it over all. The fries were nice. When paying I was also short changed by €10.. I immediately pointed this out as my change was passed to me and I was given the missing €10 with no issue.

We ate at the restaurant three times for lunch while we were visiting the area.The salad bar was amazing and you could get a very large bowl for it. The service is fast and friendly, lots of options for vegetarians, prices are very fair. Everything was great!

Waiter (the one with braces- didn’t wanna tell the name) rejected us with a 3 years old child eventhough there was plenty of space. They don’t seem to have a problem in getting customers unfortunately…most will probably anyway only come once… the one star i give because of proximity to soča

The family team at Vancar were spectacular! The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The food was great. They were very hospitable and helpful. We had a huge group of 30 people and they were easily able to accommodate us. Their location is prime for boaters in the Soca Valley.

I had very good hamburger, pommes was little bit dry without sauce. Waitress was very busy, so it was little bit longer for me. I sat outsider and there were insects.

First time in Slovenia, I got out of the car and I had the worst welcome ever. Worst service ever. We had a coffe and the owner refused me to use the bathroom. They apologized afterwards but honestly that wasn’t enough.

Most expensive slightly burned pre-prepared pizza I have ever eaten. Ice coffee wasn't bad though.

We ordered two take away pizzas and wouldnt go there again. The waiter was very unpolite and always looked like hates what he is doing, no hello or bye or anything like that. (hint: If you don't like your job, just stop doing it.) The pizza costs 9,90€ - see the picture if that is a 10€ pizza... I don't think so.

Well presented and very tasty, if we were staying another night would definitely come back for another burger! Reasonable prices and included vegetarian burger and pizzas. This place is just outside of Bovec and worth the visit!

After rafting the closest place to eat. The food was fine, the service was okay. The surrounding mountains are beautiful.

We were eating there 2 times. I tasted Buffala pizza (on picture), Nono pizza, Vege burger, fries, Aperol. All these were very delicious. The staff was also very friendly to us on both occasions.

Food is bad, like it is a few days old. Worst meat quality ever. Lepinje/somun (bread) is probably a few days old. Terrible. Just terrible.

2021 july: The food was delicious, the waiters are nice, (the was 2, since not many visitors). We didn't have to wait much for the food either and all ingredients seemed to be very fresh.

Pizza katastrofa! Only tomato sauce, a tiny bit of mozarela and 4 slices of ham. Also very small. Never again.

A truly superb experience. A small, ambitious menu with something for everyone. The service was exemplary and the food was stunning. Beautifully balanced with excellent local wine selections. And all this with a mountain view. I wish we'd eaten here earlier so that we could come back again.

A lovely experience. Excellent value for money - €28 for the set menu! And only €15 for wine pairing. Staff very friendly and gave great explanations of dishes. Tasty, local food. My only small issue was that there was a very long time between the third course and main course. About 35minutes. However the electricity did drop for a short period so perhaps this affected things! All in all would absolutely recommend a visit and would advise booking

We arrived for dinner at the bistro 9:45 after receiving recommendations from locals and also being impressed by the reviews on social media and Instagram. But unfortunately, as great as the expectations were, so was the disappointment. The meal served was a tasting meal with a choice between meat and fish menu. We chose the fish. Maybe the problem is ours, but we were unable to understand what the chef was trying to say in the dishes that were served, and they simply were not tasty. The appearance of the dishes was also not appealing. The atmosphere is very noisy and we could barely talk to each other. There is no consideration at all for the design of the place in a way that would give the diner a comfortable feeling. Even the entrance to the restaurant is full of unorganized cardboard boxes. The waiters were busy serving the diners and explaining the ingredients of the dishes, but they didn't even show interest and ask if the dishes were tasty. In conclusion - unfortunately we wouldn't want to go back again. It was really a strange experience for us.

A nice place with friendly staff, to have something a bit more special, with local ingredients and good combinations. Especially the starter and dessert were very very good. Things that can be improved: better acoustics in the room, some potatoes or fries with the main dish, and the rib-eye could be a bit more medium-rare (instead of medium+). Overall still a very good restaurant and would definitely recommend to go here. I would recommend to make a reservation as well.

A truly superb experience from start to finish. Bistro 9:45 offers a small, ambitious menu that showcases the best of locally sourced ingredients—each dish beautifully crafted and full of character. We started with beef tartar, burrata with peach, and trout sashimi—each starter fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. For mains, the lamb chops and trout fillet were outstanding, cooked with precision and paired with excellent local wines that elevated the whole meal. The brownie dessert was the perfect finale. Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. And all of this with a breathtaking view of the mountains. Well done to Chef Erik and the team for creating such a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended.

Amazing experience at the bistro. Menu is quite enticing, we had the trout sashimi as a starter, very well balanced, the cauliflower, super tasty, loved the almond crumble, and the venison, it was a tad overcooked for my taste but very flavourful. Service was super attentive and kind. Ambiance is very beautiful with nice views of the mountains. Loved the experience!

The fries don't have enough salt not that much ketchup de burger was a littel bit burnt but it was still good the price was 8,20 € and it really filed my tummy i would recommend if you want to drink to buy a cockta

Food is tasty and if you want a proper burger with fries this is good choice. On the other hand they serve only about 5-7 main dishes. All of them (except salad) with fries. So, I’d say that they should work on the menu and offer a bit wider selection. Also uograde design and look of the dishes.

At the first sight the place looked empty, and we went there because the prices were lower than the other restaurants. We took the 1917 Burger, it tasted very good! And we especially recommend the French fries. We were served very fast, the owner is very friendly, and recommended us good local beer. At the end, we didn't get to know why the place is empty... maybe because it's new? A good place for burger lovers with empty wallets like us!

We had a very mitigated experience in this restaurant. The manager was aggressive towards the waitresses and even to customers, drank and smoked all night and was clearly drunk when we finished our dinner. Besides, they did not accept credit cards and didn't have any change yet, so we paid more than we should have. Finally, they ran out of bread (quite ironical for a burger restaurant) early in the evening, and many people left the restaurant frustrated, or even before ordering. The food was OK, although portions were quite small. Even if Bovec has a relatively small offer in terms of restaurants, I would definitely discourage going there !

After a rainy hike we arrived wet and hungry in Bovec. In the meantime the sky cleared and there was beautifully sunny. We asked the staff if they could put the chairs back outside and dry the table. The waiter said grumply that wasn't possible cause another storm was on the way (google said otherwise). After taken place inside two menu's got slapped at the table without a word. The waiter then got more eye for the locals at the bar then for us. We decided to go, cause there are many more (and better) restaurants in Bovec. I advice you strongly to do the same and dine at their lovely competition at the other end of the square! .... oh and ps: we didn't see any rain for the rest of the day, figures he was just to lazy to do it.

We visited place in late August 2020 and ordered some food, however after hearing waiter severely coughing we simply paid and left. So I can't tell anything about the food, but the fact that person who serves you food is sick is absolutely unacceptable. Covid or no covid, hygene should always be priority. No travelers want to get sick abroad especially when there are always changing regulations in home country. Additional fyi: payment is by cash only.

Great burger at a great price (€4.50)

Good hotel, large enough air-conditioned rooms. Breakfast was fine, tasty food but unfortunately it was underground with no views to the beautiful mountain scenery. The outdoor pool was surprisingly very pleasant. Well worth a stay if you find yourself in Bovec.

The room was ok. They however didn’t know how to operate their own spa facilities like the sauna. We reserved it twice, both times it was cold when we arrived. The first time we figured out how to turn it on. The second time we explained to them how to turn it on and we had to wait for more than half an hour before using it. The staff were not very nice and we didn’t get any compensation for the inconvenience.

We stayed here with Euro Hike, couldn't have been a better location and stay. Amazing service, especially the very accommodating wait staff. The breakfast was also great, huge selection of all kinds of cold cuts, pastries, fresh fruit, Cereals, and other things like eggs and yogurts. Rooms nice with great balconies for coffees or a cold Laskos.

We booked the accommodation six weeks in advance. Two days before the arrival, we were informed in writing that there had been a technical error and the hotel was fully booked. We were advised to find another accommodation. When we asked why this was only noticed weeks after the confirmed booking, we did not receive a response. Finding another accommodation at such short notice during the peak of summer was nearly impossible and extremely frustrating. Eventually, when we informed the hotel that we had booked another accommodation and were waiting for their official cancellation of the booking, they informed us that there was actually a room available. They stated that if we did not want it, we would have to cancel ourselves, otherwise, they would charge us the full amount as a "no show". This was an absolute outrage! By forcing people to cancel the booking through the 3rd party booking platform, they are depriving the guests of the opportunity to write a negative review on that platform and likely saving themselves cancellation fees. It's just fraud! If you want to ensure that you actually have a place to stay, I strongly recommend booking another hotel!

We had a lovely stay at the Mangart. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The rooms were good and breakfast was great. The restaurant next to the hotel was very good and I recommend it.

Rooms are clean but very small. Nice balcony. Breakfast buffet was pretty economical with what they supplied. Good place to stay if you’re on a longer journey but I probably wouldn’t stay here for more than one night.

We had a lovely stay at the Mangart. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The rooms were good and breakfast was great. The restaurant next to the hotel was very good and I recommend it. Our only gripe is the fact that the hotel is a bit far from the city center.

We had a burger for lunch. The meat and the rest of the ingredients were very tasty, but we didn't enjoy the bun that much, it felt a bit cold. Anyway, the service was fast and the waiters were nice to us too.

Have been few days in Bovec, and tried lots of burgers.. I must say that “LEMMY BURGER” was one of my favourite of all the restaurants around. Meat patty was melting in my mouth and then the truffle mayonnaise.. pure magic. I really recommend it to everyone that wants to eat amazing!❤️ Next time I’m definitely coming back, no doubt!😊 I want to thanks the waiter Mark and boss Natasa for being so friendly, helpful and sooo fun! Love the metal/rock atmosphere, food was great but needs more variety (even if local), we were lucky enough to have a table for 5 but we did see a lot of folk get declined since the place was packed, so I’d highly suggest reserving ahead of time.

We had a bad experience with our 7:00 PM reservation. The restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived, but was getting busier by the minute. After we made our order, we were completely ignored by our stressed waitress and had to wait for over an hour for our food. She never told us that it takes longer as usual (but did so to new customers). The burger, which looked special, was quite average with only a handfull of fries. We also tried their special beers, but they were overpriced and ordinary. When we asked another waiter why we were waiting so long, since our server had disappeared, he was incredibly rude. He said it wasn't his responsibility to ask if we wanted another beer. We were very disappointed with the poor service and average food.

We sat on the small terrasse on the street. Burger with pommes was okay, nothing special, very medium cooked.

Lemmy burger was fantastic, female owner was so friendly, reasonably priced & quick service. Found us a table when they were full. Nice spot for a casual drink & food. Not loads of options in Bovec & definitely one of the best.

Svinjak Grill & Bar is a burger lover's paradise! The juicy burgers and flavorful grilled meats are simply amazing. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff make every visit enjoyable. Highly recommend!! Yum

Almost 43€ for what you see on photo. (10% tip included). Is it much? Is it ok? Well for cordon bleu with fries and cevapcici with half pita, little bit of onion, kajmak and ajvar and 2x radler its quite much I would say. But food was ok. Nothing extra special tho. Restaurant was empty when we arrived.

Really really slow service. We waited almost 40 minutes for one orange juice. And they didn't even bring us orange juice but some dirty water (it tasted terrible). Burger for 12€ tastes the same as a burger for 1€ at petrol station. The food over all tasted really plain. Also, we asked for bread with our mushroom soup, and they never brought one. Even after asking four times. The only good thing about this is a clean restaurant.

Food wasn't bad, we were just shocked to see how small the portions were in regards to the price. A portion of grilled squids consisted of exactly 8 very small squids and cost 15,50€, which is highly overpriced, and they were too salty as well. The pizzas were okay, perhaps slightly smaller than expected, but with good crust. Meat plate for 2 persons was quite disappointing, too small for 2 hungry grown ups. We were also surprised to hear that we could get a 5% discount if everyone at our table leaves a review, which explains the overall high ranking of this otherwise average restaurant.

We stranded on the Camper parking lot since all campsites were fully booked. By chance we discovered this beautiful restaurant and stayed for dinner and for breakfast next day. Very decent food, freshly grilled vegetables and a freshly made pizza and draught beer, as well as a nice breakfast with well tasting coffee and freshly made omelet and sandwiches. Very friendly people. Fully recommended.

Really nice service, good prices and really good food. We had the Tris Kalamari and the Cevapcici. Both meals where really delicious. We will come again!

W e chose this restaurant based on the good reviews. The prices for pizzas are a little high but still reasonable. The size of the pizzas is okay, and they taste quite good. However, we also ordered calamari, and for the price of 15€, the portion size was just insulting. There were exactly 8 calamari and not many fries. We also ordered the meat platter for two people (38€), but the meat wasn't that good, and the portion size was just as disappointing as the calamari. Overall, we left hungry and felt that the menu is overpriced for the quality of service we received. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for anything other than pizzas.

Amazing food! I had the carbonara and he had the calzone. Both were huge portions. The view was amazing and they had a great atmosphere with the outdoors lights and music. The server was on point. Beer was the best we had yet this trip. Definitely recommend!

Located at 3 mins walk from Bovec center. The apartments are bright, spacious, and equipped with all modern amenities. The property is clean and maintained beautifully. Private parking on site. Buffet breakfast with good options. The owner and staff are very helpful. They also helped to arrange zipline, rafting, and other activities which we enjoyed a lot. And the best part is great views. Highly recommended!

I was in the Penzion two month ago with my friends. The aprtment is ok but the staff is very arrogant and racist. I have lived in Europe for a long time and travelled for many places, so I can clearly distingush racism from normal anger. What happened: We were the first one arrived for the breakfast buffet and ate normally, and there was a male staff survilled us at the corner. They put something like 6 pieces of melon with size like 3*2 cm in the basket. I took 3 pieces of them and expected to re-filled, then the staff started to shout up me: "the basket is empty!!". I ignored him at the first moment but then he started to shout to my friends again. I asked him to check our table to indicate what we had done improperly in the breakfast. We finished all the food we took without packing anything, so I really don't understand what goes wrong. To be more specific, the staff only shouted to my Asian friend but not to European friend. This event killed most of our mood for that holidays. I strogly do not recommend this penzion.

Bovec may be a small town, but it has everything you need for a short, adventure-filled stay—and Penzion Hosnar was the perfect base for ours. This charming guesthouse provided a peaceful place to recharge between activities, with a cozy atmosphere and a solid breakfast each morning. Like much of Bovec, the views are absolutely stunning—waking up surrounded by mountains felt like something out of a postcard. Our room was thoughtfully equipped with modern amenities including a large TV, fridge, stove/oven, and sink. One minor drawback was that the curtains were a bit sheer, but the roll-down shutters on each window did a great job of keeping out early sunlight and ensuring a good night’s sleep. The continental breakfast featured a variety of tasty options like eggs, bacon, fruit, pancakes, and fresh bread. On select evenings, they also offer a small dinner menu, which is a convenient touch. Free on-site parking made things easy for us since we were driving, and the staff were happy to help arrange local activities like rafting and ziplining. We loved our stay at Penzion Hosnar and would happily return next time we’re in Bovec!

A great place to stay on our motorbike trip, with on site parking. The accomodation was very clean and in a convenient location close to restaurants and activities, plus a good breakfast came as part of the deal.

We came here for breakfast everyday during our stay in Bovec and really loved the food and to start the day calmy. Hosnar and the family treated us so well, thank you for such a good vacay start in Slovenjia!

Very tidy and lovely apartment equipped with everything you need. A good bed and nice bathroom in modern design. The owner is a great host and there when you need him, very nice and friendly. He likes to share all he knows about Bovec and all activities in the area. We had a best stay!

A good pizza, good price and nice staff. For 5 stars, a bit more ambiance in the room and dessert options would make it perfect.

We went for a pizza at king pizza and i have to say it’s the best pizza in Bovec area. I was really positively surprised by the quality of the pizza. They also have a great selection of beers (Augustiner my favourite). If your staying in Bovec and want a great pizza i would definitely recommend this restaurant, they also have an option for delivery.

We had the King Burger and a four cheese pizza. Prices were actually better than most places in the town center, which was a nice surprise for our wallets. The staff were super friendly and all spoke English, so no awkward pointing at menus. If you’re in Bovec and hungry, we recommend going here. You won’t regret it.

Solid pizza place, utilitarian interior (more of a garden hut feeling really). Can recommend for grabbing a quick bite before moving on again.

As italians we can say: 1.really good pizza!! 2.fantastic service! 3. a nice family braking their back to make it work. If you expect a fast food than think about: quality needs time, this means: come early, give them time to prepare, wait the needed time enjoying your beer, taste the good pizzas and go home satisfied. not only take away, nice out and indoor space with view on the mountains.

Good pizzas, for the price the pizzas deserve 5 stars. They also have a great selection of beers. However, we did not have the best experience with the service. When we came in, we were seated at a small table that is not big enough for pizzas and told that we will be sat at a larger table when it clears out. When a larger table cleared out, the waitress sat guests that just arrived there instead of us. We might have been able to make the small table work, but we did not appreciate the unkept promise. She also took beer glasses that still had a sip left - it happens of course, but it doesnt hurt to ask us whether we are done with them. Moreover, we ordered pizzas and beers, and we also asked for a glass of tap water, and they charged us for the tap water. You should not charge for tap water, especially since we also ordered beers. After all of this, when we asked to pay by card, the waitress explained that we can leave a tip by pressing one of the buttons on the screen, which we thought was quite awkward.
