Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Eastleigh

We originally planned to go to EVI, but it's currently closed so we came here. The decor was nice and cosy, although it was super quiet on the Friday eve we visited, which made the atmosphere a bit dull. We were informed they were only doing cold cheese/meat style platters, but that they were substantial, so we ordered 2 boards between 5. Unfortunately they were not, each platter was £30 (to serve 2), with single pieces of meat spread out to fill space on the board. The meats, cheeses, olives etc were like nice ones you'd get from a supermarket, disappointing for a restaurant. As a comparison, dedicated wine/cheese bars like Renoufs cost £16-18 pp and offer much nicer produce and probably double the amount of food. There was a good selection of wine on offer, although the bottle we ordered was from a different country than stated on the menu, but it was nice. Cocktails were also nice, however our waitress did not mention that the offer for 2 was only if they were the same, but this was honoured when questioned on the bill. Overall I would not go back based on this experience, however I appreciate this is not the normal menu

A gorgeous little wine bar with fairy lights, tasty snacks, and great vibes. The owner, Hassan, is the definition of a consummate host. He is such a sweet man!

Welcoming staff, ambiance fantastic, makes you feel like you’re on holiday! Fab bottomless brunch and great for a girls night, will definitely come again!

It's a stunning and quaint place to chill, and just enjoy beautiful Mediterranean food and wine. Loved the ambiance. Wonderful service.

Love this place , only go in if I'm starving and normally in a rush. Simple fayre, but well done, hot, freshly cooked and quick. Priced right for the establishment and judging by the amount of people in there, they must be getting something right.

It was the worst experience at this place. I went there with my family who have been to this place many times. The waiter felt like wasn’t interested to work. We asked for water and it arrived after food arrived 15 mins later. The food was cold. Very disappointing experience. Will never go back there. We got a wrong order, didn’t seem welcoming but was all smiling and welcoming to other customers on the next table. Outright raciest behavior. Appalling!!!

Ordered egg mayo baguette with side salad, baguette was flat with slices of boiled egg on top with mayonnaise?? I get that's egg mayo but not what i was expecting, Salad was also under the egg and couldn't close the baguette so had to use a knife and fork to eat it. Really bizarre way of doing egg mayo.

Food is always excellent. The place is tired and needs a good clean. The condiment area needed replacements and a good wipe down. Service was friendly , but extremely slow once we'd eaten our meal. Unfortunately, they'd run out of all VE custard & ice cream. Which meant a dry dessert. Definitely need to order a lot more in the future. Young chap behind the bar was very knowledgeable and personable. He was my man of the night.

The order was not delivered as we requested missing items. The roast was the worst that I had with Toby . The meat sliced was unde 125gr for a king size. was a quart of a slice not even a full slice . the piece of meat was so tiny that the chef was scrape with the knife in the metal support . I decided to bring my family here and it was a wrong decision. Mention to the chef if this is spec for meat weight .And told him how much should be for our 2 king roast/ normal beef roast and 2 kids roast the right weight . Said is about right ! He did not rectified . Portion control should be followed otherwise we rip off the guests !!! When they get like me the bill we don't pay how much we like to make it "about right"! we pay and they pay what is on the recipe . So it is important that the chefs follow the training of how to carve the meat. Should use scale for under or over portion . I understand that we can be 100%accurate but this was outrageous ! - no glaze on veg nothing -potato boiled not fully roasted or half way no recipe follow and plain - using the same knife for everything when you have lots of muslim guests! I can provide pic if you like . Overall nearly£90 bad experience . We did ask with our drinks to have some water . We have been told in the end ..."tha's fine you do not pay for it"

Great staff, Steve is the name to remember. Steve is very generous with the meat portions. The place is clean, friendly and relaxing when you are without the kids of course. The place is large and kid friendly so expect a family to rock up at anytime. Reviewed this place before but it's prompt me to do it again so here it is lol. Not a bad place at all.

First time visiting with friends, location was beautiful and I got some lovely pictures of the views from the garden. Ben you were fantastic & efficient. I was really hungry and the carvery did not disappoint. Thank you Stewart the presentation and your interaction was great.

If you’re in the Southampton area and want a huge Sunday roast look no further! This place has taste, quantity and price in a plate. You will have to book a table and queue up to choose from 5 different meats but for some undeceive they offer you all 5 with the same amount of money. Also there’s vegetarian options which is fantastic! All you can eat veg, gravy and soft drinks. Standing next to a romantic river and with free parking (you will have to register your number plate at the reception) takes it to the top of my list for Sunday Dinner.

I absolutely LOVE tobys! Been going there since i was little! Practically grew up in this building. Although i can admit, like most things, tobys quality has gone down throughout the years and isnt as good as it once was. Its still absolutely impeccable and a lovley day out. the pricing is sensible and the food is utterly IMACULATE, I dont know who the chef is but i owe that man OR WOMAN my life!!! Or my first born child He/She COOKS in that kitchen and should get a FAT raise NOW :) Our server Macey was an absolute treat and gorgeous too! Cant wait to come back next week 🎉 and the week after that and the week after that

We have just left the cricketers arms after choosing to visit whilst in town for a trip to paultons park, we felt compelled to write a review after receiving such great service and food. Our main server Ria and other waitresses (unfortunately we didn't get their names) were very friendly, kind and considerate. Ria was more than happy to explain the special offers in detail and she was extremely kind to our 4 year old daughter making her feel special when she placed her own order. Ria also made the effort to ensure her dinner came out first, which is service we have never had since having children. The food itself was unbelievable value and outstanding good, it was far better than what we've experienced from pub restaurants previously. Thank you to everyone at the cricketers arms for our lovely experience.

Walked in at 1300 on a Sunday in the middle of the Sunday lunch rush without a reservation and were accommodated a table in the bar area, which we were more than happy with as we weren’t sure if we’d even get in! Debbie was great and the team were so accommodating, even moving us to a bigger table when one became free to give us more space with our toddler. Food excellent, drinks great and reasonably priced for the quality of food and service delivered. Will be returning again!

Lovely old pub with loads of space and garden, great place to hang out with a drink, but the food and service were seriously lacking which I can only put down to being part of a chain so noone really cares any more.

The cricketers is a very relaxed pub with excellent food. Nicky was our server today and she is so friendly and welcoming. They have a brand new menu which includes the pub classics at a great price, my particular favourites are the chicken strips with bbq sauce, Gammon steak or Hunters chicken and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. They also have an excellent choice of drinks. Overall this is a great pub. 😉

Went here for a work lunch and was really impressed. Despite being a large group with a pre-order, the service was excellent, attentive, efficient, and well-organised. Our food came out quickly, and the staff checked in on us throughout. The food itself was delicious and, considering the price, offered great value for money. Would definitely recommend for group bookings or casual work outings.

A Hidden Gem with the Best Coffee Around! Popped into this pub expecting the usual pint, but ended up staying for the coffee! Honestly, one of the nicest cups I’ve had in ages — smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. And the real star? Krystal. She’s absolutely lovely — friendly, welcoming, and just has that knack for making you feel right at home. It’s not every day you find a pub that does coffee this well and has service with such genuine warmth. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favour: skip the chain cafés and come here instead. You’ll leave with a smile (and probably planning your next visit).

The first 10 mins should have been a give away that it was going to be a disaster but sadly we stayed. We were shown to our table and given the Sunday menu. 10 mins later someone eventually came to take a drinks order and we asked to order food at which point the waiter asked if we had been told that half the menu was unavailable?! We ordered a roast and hoped for the best. The two roasts arrived and our daughter’s meal did not, we were told it would be approx 5 mins. I then had to send mine back as the chicken was so dry it was inedible. By the time I got a replacement of gammon my husband had finished his meal. I actually don’t eat gammon which is fortunate as the offering was 1/3 of a gammon steak which was so salty i wouldn’t have fed it to the dog. At which point I ate the veg and gave up. My daughter had wanted pudding but by the time we got to that stage the already loud table of 3 next to us took a call and proceeded to have a call on loud speaker for the whole place to hear, their language was so offensive that we just got up and left. What a dire meal. Very disappointing and we will certainly not bother again.

I was so pleased with this restaurant. Went in with low expectations, but they were smashed. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. There's a brilliant range on the menu with something for everyone, especially vegetarians. The restaurant was clean and well presented, especially considering that it had been a busy Father's Day, and we went in the early evening. Our food came really quickly and was very tasty as well as prepared to a good standard. The serving size was great, especially the fish and chips. The prices are good and there's plenty of parking.

August 2025 Early evening meal Not very busy on our arrival, but soon began to fill. Very good menu. We had very good service. The food main courses and desserts were very good and enjoyable. Very good early evening visit. Lunchtime menu includes a two for one deal. Good varied menu and a children's menu is also available. Very good staff Another visit to to restaurant, earlier visit I gave it THREE stars Today's visit seven months later than our previous visit. Very disappointing, Entered restaurant nobody available until a delay of a few minutes to take us to a table. Then a long delay for our drinks order. A few more minutes food order taken. Delay in the arrival of our meals. You may accept this service if the restaurant was extremely busy, this was not the case. If I was generous the restaurant was a quarter full. Not enough staff on duty. New rating only ONE star. This standard would be really disappointing for anybody staying at the Premier Inn.

Jody and the team are very friendly. I’m staying in the hotel here most weeks with work. Food is to a good quality and portion sizes are generous. Service is efficient and staff give a warm welcome. Good selection of draught Beers and Ciders. Menus change relatively frequently. It’s a clean space and live sports are available. Jody, Abby, Thea, Mikey and Dave are a credit to the team.

We were a booked table of three. We arrived at 18:21 for 18:30 table. Drinks service very good. Only main meals were ordered by 18:50. The meals took ages, although the Pub was not full. Then trying to get serverd for 3 puddings took a while. We eventually ordered 3 puddings at 20:00hrs. Two ice-cream Sundays and a Cholate Fudgecake. By 20:26 I went to cancel this order, but as I returned the two ice cream Sundays arrived. Unfortunately, they didn’t resemble the pne pictured in the Menu, so we asked to send them back and pay the bill. This was totally the reverse of our experience the week before!

Tragically "mid" the food didnt taste bad but jesus anything with batter was not burnt but well done. The dessert was alright, the wife has the gherkins out my burger and responded with "Worse gherkins ive ever had" i think she was being a bit dramatic but she is an avid pickle/gherkin fan.

What Premier Inn’s do, they always do well A very good value cooked breakfast with unlimited tea, coffee, juices etc for £10.99

We met an old friend for a curry tonight, we are winchester and they southampton so we met in the middle and decided to try this place after driving past for years. Initially was a little worried from a few of the reviews but id like to say we were extremely happy with the quality of food and attentive friendly service. It wasnt very busy but had a good few tables taken giving a nice atmosphere. It also seems a few of the negative reviews seem to be fake as the alot of the names seem to be generic names with 1 review accounts.... who knows, definatly doesnt correlate where I just ate. So thanks guys thumbs up from me. If in the area would come again Ow and big bonus ... King fisher on tap! Not very common these days !!!! Brilliant

Working in the area so we decided to visit. I think we must have picked a really quiet time as we were the only people in there so it's a little difficult to judge the atmosphere! The staff were really helpful and dishes were served quickly as you might expect in a near empty restaurant. The prawn masala was ok, and the starters included sesame prawns which again were ok and onion bhajis which were as you'd expect. The food was of a 'no frills' standard, perfectly acceptable but to elevate it to higher levels the flavours, presentation and atmosphere would need to be transformed. However we had a pleasant visit and it has potential for sure.

Stopped here on a Monday night and managed to get a table. It was reasonably quiet but still busy enough that it wasn't totally dead. I received a friendly welcome when I arrived and the service couldn't be better. The food was really good with decent portions as well. I would certainly come back and it made for a better evening instead of being sat in the hotel restaurant over the road.

What can I say? This place is exquisite! The food is amazing. Very very well cooked and a huge range on offer. It took us longer to decide what to eat than it took to receive the food. It's now our go-to place for special occasions. Thanks all. Great food and great staff.

Didn't feel like our usual curry so we ordered a takeaway because my husband has been wanting to try it. And oh my goodness were we blown away. This is our new curry house. Everything was so tasty with just the right amount of spice and heat. The Badi Mirchi Combo Platter for Two and special fried rice were the perfect option to add a bit of variety to a meal. Onion barjis were not over oily and yet still soft. Will definitely be going back.

Ignore some of the recent bad reviews (from people with only one review and generic names...fake?) I had a very pleasant meal here. Great lassi, nice biryani, and a polite and friendly staff. I'll be visiting again.

Loads of food. Noisy but can talk over it. Good place for families to eat. Chicken 🐔🍗 is always good and the skewers were great as was the half roast chicken. Tuesdays are mix it up day and great value for money.

We came here on Sunday for the first to for a roast dinner. Was very quiet. And took so long for the food to come out. And when it did it was very disappointingm the plate was hotter than the food onit. Small about of smash. Not fresh mash. Veg cold and as for the roast potato's they where horrible I'm sure they where new potatoes cut in half and over cooked. The kids roast dinner was the same size as the adults meal. If a pud can't get the roasty's right they shouldn't do a roast dinner. Unfortunately we won't return. Check my picture out roasty are shocking

Lovely lunch in here today, very helpful stuff, especially Jason who was working his sock off like an absolute ledgend. He was making sure everyone was happy and was very quick with service.

We had a pleasant opportunity to pop in to have a cappuccino and bite to eat. The staff, Cary-Ann and Ella was really friendly and welcoming. The food was fast and hot but above all really nice and well presented. Mum enjoyed her food and latte a lot and that is saying something because she’s got let’s say a very choice pallet. For mum to enjoy the food it must be good. Thank you the new clock inn.

Popped in here Thursday afternoon and couldn’t find a better pub. Jason and Kayleigh have set up a really nice laid back relaxing afternoon. The food was cooked great. And my little daughter loved her ice cream

I wasn't sure what to expect on a Saturday late afternoon but was pleasantly surprised! The staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. The service was decent and the food was really nice. Would visit again.

We were very lucky to be invited to a family wedding at The Concorde. As we had a fair drive to the venue we opted to stay over. The wedding was fantastic, the staff handled the whole event with ease. Food was great, drinks kept coming and the setup was perfect. The room was nice, perhaps a little tired but very comfy and the shower was great (something I often judge a room on, a great shower). I would recommend The Concorde, especially for an event such as a wedding.

Don't stay here if it's hot weather especially. Air-con doesn't work in any room. In my room the remote didn't work for the TV and the TV screen was dark on the bottom half so it was broken almost unwatchable. Hotel and rooms are very dated but comfortable bed. Only plug to charge your phone is on the other side of the room. Ones each side of the bed are 3 pin but round so only the bedside lamps fit them. Luckily I have a 5m charger lead. Shower room updated so no issues with that but no bath. Asked for an iron and ironing board and was asked to bring it straight back when finished but i refused. I don't stay at hotels to walk around the place doing the hotel staffs job for them. I have to stay in at last 3 hotels a week and I've honestly never been so disappointed.

Checked in today with my partner, the receptionist was horrendous, walking around with no shoes on and clearly on factime with a man who i'm guessing is her partner, could clearly see the housekeepers struggling and was told some rooms were still not ready gone half 1 even though we were scheduled to check in at 2:30. Rooms immaculate, just receptionist was not very professional.

All round excellent service except for the absolute ignorant rude woman that was on reception (club reception) on friday the evening of the shakatak gig, she definitely isn't an asset to the venue & it's owners.

A very enjoyable package deal, room, cabaret, evening meal and breakfast.

This restaurant is part of Eastleigh College and is run as part of the catering and hospitality students course. We go quite often and the food is always excellent and the students give great service under the supervision of their tutor. Price is very reasonable. Recommend.

We were only visiting UK on a last minute notice and we found this training restaurant online. We were told that they are fully booked but after knowing our situation, Sue is very kind and able to accommodate us. The lunch was a 3 courses meal which you are given a choice out of 4 selection in each course. We were all happy with the dishes that we have chosen. We were impress especially with the chicken Risotto, it was Al dente and the sauce just coated the rice perfectly. I would of give it a 100% if the food is served hotter but both the taste and presentation is all good. As it is the first week of operation for a new semester,it will take a little time for some servers to be more at ease with customers. Overall a great experience and definitely will go back when we visit UK in the future.

A restaurant is staffed by catering students.They do wonderful food, with a varied menu.Presentation is delightful. Flavours are exquisite.Service was great and the overall experience was amazing.Prices are so reasonable too. Will be going again.

I came here for brunch on a Friday morning and had no problem finding a table. I had the pancakes either fruit and it came with more fruit than I expected, very tasty. The staff were friendly and the toilets were clean.

We go in every now and then and staff are always *on*. Food is always good, drinks great too! Clean, love the fireplace. Today we went in for brekkie takeaway (safely socialising our nervous dog with train and people watching from the car 🙂). I brought in our own containers but they still used their earth friendly ones, packing everything nicely. All fresh and well done. Doggie especially loved the scrambled egg!🐶🍳👍Cheers! (I only give 4 stars for atmosphere because there is often a lot of F bombing in certain areas of the pub 🫤. Not from staff 😂)

You get what you pay for. Food was ok at best, lukewarm burger and chips. Burger pulled pork looked like blended mush and not really tasty. Staff need to learn to smile, used the app, easy and straight forward. Burger, chips and a beer for under £12. Like I said you pay for what you get at spoons!

As a traveller I use wetherspoons on a regular basis ..they are all pretty much the same offering good quality food and beers at great prices..however, the wagon works has to be the worst I have been in....ordered drinks via the app and it took 20 minutes and a trip to the bar to see where they were. Then what was delivered and literally banged down on the table wasn't what was ordered ....the food arrived quite reasonably but the app wouldnt let you order Carling lager ...we were theyln told the Carling isn't really a staple so goes off ...and they had none.... explains why we didn't get Carling with the initial drinks order. Very slow and somewhat chaotic service.

Wetherspoons Visited #119 A reasonably large sized Wetherspoons, just opposite of Eastleigh Train Station. So handy for a beer (and food) if passing through on the train. The pub is adorned with images and info relating to the Eastleigh Railway works, hence the name of the pub. Ordered the 3oz Classic Burger and a pint of Stonehenge Old Smokey beer. Total was £6.97. Beer arrived within five minutes of ordering and was in very good condition (as seen in image). Food within the 10 minutes time frame that Wetherspoons aim for. No issues with temperature and quality, when it arrived. Only rated food three stars because I'm not terribly impressed by the 3oz offering. Pre Covid, you could once get a 6oz burger (and drink) for roughly the same price! Pub is worth visiting if in the area.

Normal Spoons a few local beers usually served with sparkler and are usually fairly good.Spoons do get a bad rap but this is one of the better ones. Plus a real non fake fire. March 2024 Pop in at least once a twice a month staff very gold much better than in the city April 2025 Still one of the best spoons in Southampton area

Gosh, genuinely such a wonderful place to go for food. Amazing food, servers and atmosphere. We were served by the lovely Kari who gave wonderful recommendations and was just great to talk to as well. They also had an amazing selection of gluten free food, I've never had such a good set of food I can properly indulge in and enjoy, I felt like a proper part of the group being able to order basically whatever I like. They have a great range of gf beer too!!

Nice place to have a craft ale and a cider. The selection is really good and the staff care, offering to help you with suggestions. Felt very welcome here and the service is friendly. They have lots of food here but didn’t get any this time.

Wow, what a place! We booked this restaurant looking on Google, halfway driving down from Cheshire for an overnight stay. We couldn’t have been more pleased. The atmosphere was lovely, service exceptional (thank you Kari, who could not have done enough for us) and the food was absolutely mouthwatering. Loved the variety of options for gluten free and vegan too (have a very allergic baby). Thank you again!

What an absolute gem of a place! I’ve been visiting on and off for a while now, and every time I come back it just gets better. The beer is spot on — proper quality pints, always well kept and perfectly poured. The food? Delicious, hearty, and exactly what you want from a great local spot. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and clearly care about what they do. You can tell there’s pride in the place — everything’s clean, well run, and has that warm, relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay for “just one more.” Staff always up for a chat, attentive to everyone, and keep the place running smoothly. You can tell they all put their hearts into it. If you’re after great beer, tasty food, and genuine hospitality, this is the spot. Couldn’t recommend it more highly — five stars all day long! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

What a great restaurant! Refreshing to find a unique business like this. Food & drinks were excellent and service fast, attentive and friendly! Look at the size of the milkshake!

We popped in for a couple of drinks and some food and stayed most of the evening. KARI , our server was great, knowledgeable about the beer. Fun, attentive but not in your face. Fully recommend them for food and drink.

Arrived at our Premier Inn just down the road from here at 5.30pm after 6 hours on the road from Yorkshire, only to be told the hotel bar/restaurant is booked up until 7.45pm 🤨. So Google maps to the rescue which pointed out this little gem only a 20 min walk away on this lovely sunny evening. The restaurant’s blended ⭐️rating just achieved our minimum threshold and so we turned up at unannounced 6.20pm. “Booked up”… but a table for 2 was just being cleared if we wanted to wait 5 mins. We did and glad we did! In summary, excellent attentive service from all the staff, food was absolutely excellent (we took the canton feast for 2 to try something different from our usual choices …and it was amazing) - if we lived down this way, we’d definitely be here more often. We’ll definitely keep it in mind next time we’re cruising from Southampton (and we’ll definitely book next time too!!). Great value satisfying Chinese food. Highly recommended. Thanks for fitting us in team!!

Brilliant experience as always, Peking Phoenix’s food, atmosphere and service never disappoints. A must visit restaurant, the management and staff made us feel extraordinarily welcome, and surprised us with a birthday surprise for our guest! Five stars all around

Used to be really good, got charged £4 for 6 prawn crackers (used to be free) which a wasnt happy with. Sat with finished plates for a good 10minutes after finished. Food is nice but for the price it isn't worth it.

This restaurant is now under new ownership with beautiful new décor, and it was honestly the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! The chef personally came out, and when we asked if he could prepare a dish that wasn’t even on the menu, he was more than happy to do so. The waitress was absolutely brilliant—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing food and great service!

This used to be one of my favorite Chinese restaurants, the food was consistently delicious, and the quality was always reliable. Unfortunately, since the recent change in management, it’s gone completely downhill. The flavors are bland, portions are smaller, and the overall quality just isn’t there anymore. It’s really disappointing to see such a great place turn into something I can no longer recommend.

Love this place! The food was amazing, really fresh and full of spices. The prices are reasonable and the staff are really friendly. I also asked for paneer to be added to my curry (not on the menu) and they did it without trouble. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Was lovely to be in the Mogul when it was full (last day of eat out to help out). One of my fav take aways / restaurants in Eastleigh. Very disappointed with the starter Chilli Squid (I wasn't expecting breaded squid, which looked like it come from Iceland!) The rest of the meal was superb, lots of flavour and taste and good value for money. The staff are delightful with the owner on top form that evening cracking jokes all night. Despite the 'damp squid' of a starter I would return.

Had my normal chicken tikka masala tonight, the new chef definitely knows how to make it, this one was the best I’ve ever eaten

After a lovely two days in Bournemouth, we were heading back to the midlands on a 4.5 hour journey, but needed to eat so we could survive the loooong journey home. I read the reviews and we popped in for our dinner. So happy we did. It was just what we needed to give us the kick start. The food was delicious, fresh, tasty, great portions and very reasonable prices. My hubby and eldest had the buffet for £19:99 and me and my youngest had paneer tikka, chicken Peshawari. The chef was so kind he made us some special tea with spices to help us with our long journey. Staff were professional, helpful and attentive. I would highly recommend this lovely place. Thank you to the staff at Great Mogul you really helped make our journey home so much better.

Went early evening on a Thursday so we were the only ones there, but food was gorgeous, fresh, and we'll definitely go back another time.

Proper Indian restaurant. They do all the usual, but look for the special in house pick's in the menu. Well worth trying. Fantastic food and service, all the food was great, and the order accuracy was Spot on (we were in a group of 9) they help you split the bill, however you want to do it as a group, and take cash and card. We had a lovely chat, the atmosphere was great and the background music was not too loud. Fantastic, thanks!

Took my elderly Uncle and friends to have lunch. The staff were ready with a ramp for his mobility scooter and were attentive throughout our visit. The roast beef was delicious and pudding to die for. Compared to London prices (where I live) this was a very reasonably priced visit. Go give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Nice little pub in the middle of Fryern shops. Small free car park with plenty of outdoor seating. Very friendly staff. Tables still cleaned after each use which is a nice touch. Seating area outside is proving very popular. Can get busy Friday lunchtimes. IF YOU USE THE CAR PARK ENTER YOUR REG AT THE BAR!

I go to the Halfway Inn most Wednesday nights with a friend, usually to watch football, but mostly to just regularly catch up, eat and have a few pints. Wednesday at the Halfway is £5 burger night - a full burger meal for £5! That means for food alone, we spend £10 for 2 dinners every Wednesday - let that sink in....I think that's less then either 'Spoons or even Mickey D's!! The pub is part of the Greene King group, which means there's an App (GreeneKingSport) free to download that gives you access to a weekly bet on football, rugby, F1 and other sports for free with nothing to lose, but free or discounted drinks to win. It really is that simple - guess the correct score for one of the Prem matches they select and you win a pint - that's roughly £5 worth at no cost to you!!...as if the food price wasn't low enough. But the Halfway isn't just the place we go because it's cheap, it's a really nicely outfitted traditional pub, with multiple big screens for sport, a pool table, darts and ample dining space. It's not fancy and definitely more pub than restaurant, but don't let that put you off. The staff are friendly, fast and competent, although I do sometimes worry there are too few to handle a full bar - it is an odd location that seems to have an unpredictable customer base - some weeks packed, some empty and unrelated to specific "TV events" it seems. At a time when pubs are a bit of a dying breed, the Halfway Inn remains exactly the kind of pub I want to stay alive and maintain the cultural staple of a place to eat, drink and socialize with people who live nearby...and without breaking the bank!

Waited 40+ minutes for a mixed grill and pub wasn't that busy on a Thursday lunchtime. Mixed grill was ok. Lady serving appeared very hassled - understaffed on a Thursday only one person on bar - I understand this but after being served at the bar there was no interaction about the wait etc. Pub itself is a little tatty and could do with a refurb or at least some TLC. Sorry for the negative review but clearly this pub needs some improvement.

This has to be the worst bar I have ever 'not' been in....Friday night about 9ish having been other pubs and bars we arrived at The Station...the place was empty yet we decided to give it a go.....3 blokes 58 60 and 67 were shocked to be refused entry because we didn't have id...the very rude door man said it's Friday u need proof of id..like its ok not to have it other nights ...a young girl in the door way...not sure why she wasnt being allowed in said...omg these guys don't look like they carry id or need to.....however the doormam said no if your not coming in....to be honest the place was empty...the door was unwelcoming..the door staff were a disgrace...avoid this place ...door staff should greet,meet and engage and encourage patrons ....these quarterwits on this door ruin the reputation of what could be a decent venue in an otherwise wilderness. Avoid the place

This is the worst pub in Hampshire. I've been here about 3 times now and I've never had anything that could be described as a half decent pint. I walked in today and ordered a pint of London Pride, had one sip and just walked out. I won't be going back ever. Just stick to Weatherspoons in Eastleigh!

Highly recommend the station, the staff are always bubbly and friendly. Andy, Victoria, Lauren, Lea, Abbie and Ben are a great team and always make your experience memorable! Drinks and food are well priced and the atmosphere at the weekend is incredible, will never go anywhere else!

Friendly from the moment you arrive. Clean in not just the bar but the floors tables and toilets. Only had a pudding so far that was excellent, and the food I've seen going out to other tables looks amazing! Beer is kept well and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit anytime.

Nothing against the pub and a great venue for the Eastleigh Pride after-party, but I know I'm getting old when the music is too loud and all you can do is nod your head to the beat because you can't hear anything anyone says. Prices are reasonable and it has nice decor.

Read from a local Gazette stating Mike's Traditional Fish and Chips shop won several awards in recent years, so we went and gave it a try ! I must admit, we were NOT disappointed at all ! The Fish was fresh and crispy, and most importantly very tasty. Chips are nice, not soggy. The Battered and Plain Sausages were very good, but not good enough to be considered as outstanding 😄 We do visit Mike's on a regular basis now and got ourselves a VIP Reward Card, and we get FREE chips every 5 visits. Nice !!! Definitely recommend Mike's Traditional Fish and Chips 👍

The fish was freshly cooked. They tell you where the fish comes from, and what kind of potatoes have made your chips. The food itself was really good. The chips could have been a little bit more crisp, but maybe that's down to the variety! The service was absolutely excellent and prompt with a good estimation of how long it would take to cook it fresh. I would absolutely have another meal from this place. The batter is crispy. The food is fresh. What more could you want and it's all served with a smile. Do expect to pay for sauces which is completely fair. So order that with your meal if you need or want some

I wish I could say something nice about this place, but unfortunately, my visit was a disaster from start to finish. The fish was greasy and soggy, and the chips tasted like they’d been fried hours earlier and reheated, and the whole box and bag was drenched in cold oil. The staff were indifferent at best although I felt like I was inconveniencing them just by ordering food. I could see the younger staff were trying there best though, so pat on the back for them. But Definitely no interest in customer satisfaction. The atmosphere was equally depressing. The smell was less fresh seafood and more old sweaty fryer oil. It was the kind of place that makes you want to leave before your order even arrives. I left feeling queasy, both from the look of the food and the experience. Would not recommend to anyone, not even as a last resort.

I agree with other reviewers that our lovely local chippy has gone down the hill. We’ve ordered from here for the last 2 years and fish and chips used to be the best ever. We were thinking things will improve but after today I don’t think we will come here any more. The fish is often quite oily and all the oil needs blotting out every time so the fish is actually edible. Today however it was so overcooked and dry (as per photos) it was not enjoyable to eat whatsoever. Really disappointed and will not be coming back.

Tried here as our local chippy was shut What a dissapointment. The fish was over priced for a large cod and was not nice at all Burger was horrible deep fried dry And the only thing i would say is the chips where ok. Overall not very good. Used to be better but very dissapointed now. My local chippy large cod £7.50 and a bigger piece.

I arranged a lunch for 17. The organisation by, and communication with Claire was first class and it was very easy to manage the process leading up to the event, including arranging menus and pre-ordering meals. On the day, the service was friendly and efficient and all were very pleased with the quality of the food. Highly recommended.

Just moved to Eastleigh and was looking for Sunday roast nearby online and The Good Companions came up. We are so glad we went, the roast was absolutely delicious and piping hot. We both had roast pork which was tender whilst also having a lovely bit of crispy crackling. Vegetables were plentiful and all cooked perfectly. It was clear everything was freshly cooked and not just from the freezer or microwaved. Massive Yorkie and plenty of gravy. Staff were polite and even though it was fairly noisy due to the local derby match being shown, there was a friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back and feel lucky we now only 5 mins walk away!

The Good Companions roast was recommended to me and I can see why. HUGE portion and very tasty. I went for the lamb shank, a great size and well cooked. We all made the 'mistake' though of having a starter and we struggled to clear our plates, TBH, they could easily half the size of the bread and oil starter and charge the same price, this too was huge. Earlier in the week, we had a few drinks whilst watching the footy and I also had a cheese burger, this too was delicious and well priced, served of course with a great choice of beers.

I've just eaten at this local pub and have to say what an amazing meal. I had the beetroot wellington, in not a vegetarian, and it was the best I've ever tasted. I ordered a portion of horse reddish sauce to accompany it but didn't need it as the taste was more than adequate. There is a hint of cinnamon which sets it sets the dish off beautifully. The veg, cabbage, roast carrot and parsnip cooked to perfection. The cheese sauce, topping leeks was very moreish. The goose fat potatoes, yummy. All topped with the biggest yorkshire pudding. The service from the waiting staff was impeccable. Drinks orders taken and delivered efficiently. The young lady also checked at initial order stage if i was a vegetarian as the cooking process could be altered. We were ask about other dietary requirements. Well done the Good Companion, will definitely call again Thank you. Xx

I had a function at this venue and I must say the service I received from booking he venue and on the evening of the event, was absolutely first class. The staff were very welcoming, accommodating, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I would highly recommend The Good Companions.

First time trying sonny’s and to be honest I have no idea why I haven’t been there sooner. The staff were polite, the place was immaculate and the food was perfection. Had a haddock and chips with a cheeky pea fritter. The haddock was perfect the chips for a small was to much for me to even eat and the pea fritter wasn’t dry like most chip shops who have them sitting there for god knows how long. I cannot wait to try this again next week. Thank you guys

Great food with amazing service. Every single staff member had a smile on their face. They were all very kind and helpful even recommending some items to try on the menu. All the food was perfect. The batter was lovely and crispy. The chips were hot and fresh. The curry sauce was lovely. And the fish cakes and pies were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Prices were cheap and the food was more than worth the value. Again the staff were super.

Lovely pub, staff were very friendly and welcoming service and food was lovely. I had a visually impaired person with me and when using the disables toilet facility, she almost fell as the floor my the toilet slopes down. We mentioned it to staff and they didn't know. They will mark a note. Just beware if you're disabled the floor does slope down. Otherwise Lovely.

Nice pint of Golden Hen plus a half of cider for less than, £5. Nice atmosphere, TV not intrusive (mid week, no matches on.) Dog friendly.

Been here a few times now. Very good menu and a cheap seniors menu too. Food portions are large and always very tasty. Dog friendly and a big garden fenced in so child/dog friendly.

I really enjoyed the Boneless Banquet from KFC, the food arrived very quickly and was hot and tasty. The service was grea too, Taygan in particular helped me on the kiosk and was lovely.

I had a great experience at KFC Eastleigh! The food was fresh, hot, and delicious—especially the crispy chicken and fries. The staff were friendly and served us quickly even though it was quite busy. The place was clean and well-maintained, and I really appreciated that the service was efficient. Definitely one of the best spots in Eastleigh for a quick and satisfying meal. Highly recommend!

It's a ok KFC but it's not got alot of good seating especially for the little ones. If the tables are taken then you will not want to use the round ones or the bar type ones.

In one word, it is a perfect place with great food, service, ambiance, clean and hygienic. I always recommend it to everyone.

Went in today Saturday 2:30pm 13/09/25 Service was slow as only one person serving and one in kitchen , however one burger had half of the filling missing and one wrap was completely burnt. Got both changed however the burger was cold from them just using the same burger and the wrap was chewy as they didn't do much to a new wrap. £20 for a wrap meal, chicken bites and a burger. Wouldn't waste my money or time again.

Not hugely impressed with this branch. Reciepts failed to print and no one had a clue on who had which order number so it was a pure guessing game and there was a code for the toilets which wasn’t displayed anywhere as to which I had to get a staff member to unlock the door for me! The toilets are a disgrace (disabled door doesn’t even close and lock and had alcohol bottles laying about and the toilet paper is just ridiculous!!!) I won’t chuck too much dirt however as the staff did communicate in a sensible manner and the food was still good. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here until improvements have been made here nonetheless.

I ordered a box meal. The food was tossed in the box cold! I also ordered a cookie then come to realise it wasn’t in the order! I tried calling but went straight to voicemail! Really disappointed

Outstanding food and exceptional service! Every dish we ordered was absolutely spot on. The portions were generous, the flavors were incredible, and everything was cooked to perfection. The Singapore noodles were hands down the best I've ever had—bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and just the right amount of spice. The pancake roll was crisp on the outside, packed with tasty filling, and cooked beautifully. The prawn crackers were so fresh and crunchy—a perfect addition to the meal! Everything arrived piping hot and exactly as expected. From start to finish, this was a 10/10 experience. A huge thank you to the talented chefs and the hardworking team at Canton House —you're doing an amazing job. I'll definitely be ordering again soon and recommending you to everyone I know. The food was really bland . The noodles in the special chow mein we had was all sticky over cooked noodles the special fried rice we had was the same no taste and overcooked rice. We had a pancake roll the outside was nice but no flavour hardly any meat in it and has a lot of pepper added to it.

Food was rock hard and impossible to chew because it was old and stale, who knows what the hygiene is like!!,no beef in crispy shredded beef and the taste was so bland.

Have been using this Chinese for over 25 years. And would recommend it to anyone. Excellent food , fast friendly staff.and there spare ribs are to die for. Updated 16-03-2019. This takeaway has recently been taken over, the original owners having retired. The new owners whilst being very friendly are nothing to do with the original owners and unfortunately the quality has suffered. It's still ok but not as good.

Best waffle shop. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff who made our waffle and ice cream to order. Affordable, without skimping on the dessert choices. We will definitely be back and we have told everyone how great it is.

Great service and food. The menu LOOKS quite expensive, however you soon realise that the prices are justified when you see how generous the portions are... a £4 treat from Costa is a tiny snack, but a £7 treat from here is a full meal. Really awesome choice of toppings and meals. Presentation is perfect, and very Instagram friendly (if that's your thing). The food boxes are cardboard, the straws are thick paper ones (perfect for the thick milkshakes), and the cutlery is compostable. Fab work. 😁

We had delicious bubble waffles today, and the staff were happy, on request, to add different combinations to what was on the menu! The food was reasonably priced and the staff friendly! We will be back for another treat at some point! We had an oreo bubble waffle and a peppermint aero bubble waffle.

The service was great. We would thoroughly recommend the Waffles and cream creation which had sprinkled oreos over the top which contrasted with the smooth, creamy and delicious ice cream. We sat outside and enjoyed it with a glass of ice cold water which was refreshing on a nice sunny day!

The current owners are amazing. The interior is beautiful, plenty of outside seating. Food lush!!!! Highly recommended.

I went in thinking what could possibly go wrong at a Subway? I was wrong 🙂 The staff needs training and by training I mean right from the basics- LISTENING to the customers. First things first, the lady didn't even hear me properly and assumed what I wanted. Thankfully the other guy noticed her picking up the wrong thing and pointed out at the same time I was going to point out. Maybe it was lack of concentration or maybe she was just new and scared so I let it go. Followed by that I started telling her what I wanted in my veggie sandwich. I told her to start with lettuce and then add tomato, onion, etc. She denied saying "I will put lettuce at the end" and put the wet tomatoes first then other things, then sauce, and then lettuce at the end. What I ended up with was dry and hard leaves of lettuce falling out of the sandwich with not one bit of sauce on the leaves. I even pointed that out at the end to which she said "oh okay" 🙂 The other guy asked if I wanted it remade but I hate wasting food and I really didn't have the time, energy, and patience to get another one made after a long tiring day. £6.99 for a sloppy sandwich which was not even wrapped properly. Thank God I had a bag to carry it or it would've definitely fallen on my way home. The Central Station and Giddy Bridge branches are way better.

Popped in here today..won’t again. Ordered a 6’sub with Rottisery chicken. Barely enough chicken to get it to 1/4 full…..won’t be bothering again. Can certainly tell they are franchised as the London road branch is much better!

Got a cookie ..the guy touched my phone to get my code ? touched the till all with gloves on then he picked up the cookie with the same gloved hands when the tongs were sitting next to the cookies so I told him to give me a new cookie using the tongs . When I got home and took a small piece it tasted stale it was far too crumbly not a soft chewy consistency… shocking food hygiene standards in this store ..Gloves should only be worn when handling food they shouldn’t be on the persons hands when touching anything else in the store

I had a Veg Sub at Subway for lunch today. It was fresh and tasty. I chose multigrain bread and added lots of vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers. I also added some sauces which made it more flavorful. The sub was filling and healthy. A good choice for a quick lunch! I would recommend going to the Eastleigh Subway – the service was good and everything was fresh. A great spot for a quick and healthy lunch!

Went into the Eastleigh branch on Sunday for lunch and ordered a honey mustard BBQ chicken sandwich. This is meant to come with a set salad, but when it came time to add the salad they just looked at me, waiting for me to tell them what salad I wanted. The salad that comes with it maybe?? I said "I'd like the salad that comes with it, but no tomato or cucumber." So they put guacamole on it?? That's not included on the menu and I didn't ask for it! When I pointed it out they said they'd remake it, but all they did was move the fillings to another piece of bread, meaning I ended up with a disgusting untoasted bread with a hot filling. I would suggest that if you're working at a restaurant you should know your menu and be aware of what goes on each sandwich. Not knowing and getting things wrong just looks unprofessional. I won't be returning to the Eastleigh branch again.

Came with the family before getting the ferry. Cutest hot chocolate I've ever seen with pumpkin marshmallows. Absolutely smashing bacon and egg bap. Sister's husband said the banana bread was 10/10. We said we needed quick service as time was a bit tight for our ferry and we received our food and drinks within 10 minutes of ordering. Excellent service, food, location. 10/10

The best place for incredibly yummy food, good vibes and delicious drinks! Lakeside cafe is just down the road from us and is our favourite local cafe. We are so lucky to have this lovely place, everyone who work there are incredibly lovely people and honestly it’s some of the best food and drink we’ve ever had. It gets better every time! We went for afternoon tea today for our 7th wedding anniversary and it was so so lovely. You could choose your own sandwiches, cake and potato side. It was gorgeous! Thank you to all of you for being our safe haven for us and all friends who come with us. Keep being you!

THIS CAFE IS AMAZING! We have been visiting for the past few years since we had our son - who loves the railway next door (well so do I). The service and food is amazing. The cakes are out of this world with good potions! Recently though they have literally made: THE WORLDS BEST HOT SANDWICH. Then Philly Steak Toastie which has been on the specials is amazing - I really hope it makes it onto the main menu! Thanks guys for all the yummyness!

Best chicken and bacon waffle I’ve had in my life! Helps that it is also next to a really charming miniature railway. Kids had the best time!

Placed an order on Uber Eats. Paid £15.48 for a large Doner kebab and £15.48 for a large Chicken Doner. You can see for yourself we received a medium if that! The quality of the meat wasn’t worth the price either let alone the portion size. The nachos had cold grated cheese instead of the cheese sauce paid £7.49. The chips (fries) were served in Chippy wrapping paper, which meant by the time the delivery arrived they were cold. Istanbul Grill you seriously need a to re-consider your prices and portion sizes as this is outrageous (Photos speak for themselves).

Kabab is the best. Recomend the istabul grill kebeb. It’s the one in the square tray. Lamb shish chicken shish and lamb doner with garlic and chilli sauce. Aces. 👌

Almost didn’t order due to some mixed reviews, but can confirm the food was amazing! Chips were crispy and hot, generous portion of kebab too. Food was really nice and it’s a plus to know they have a 5* hygiene rating. Will be coming again!

I have to say that I have ordered pizza here for years...I try others but always come back. They are generous with cheese, toppings and I've just tried stuffed crust which was extremely good. I don't order anything else so I can't comment on that but I would recommend pizza for quality and price. Delivery is always quick and they are always polite 🙂 Ignore dog in photo...she wants a piece...

Tasty kebab but slow service, as in, we walked in together, placed our orders and paid for our kebabs separately but was cooked separately, so there was around a 10 minute delay between each kebab. With more staff or better organised, they should be able to cook more than 1 kebab at a time.

Ordered a mixed wrap and portion of chips , the chips was the cheapest chips u could buy and was rank , and thats the good bit , the wrap was totaly vile dripping with grease and tastless , there so tight they wrapped it in 1 sheet of paper to save them money and when opened bag it was full of grease ,it was like the whole thing was dipped in the chip fryer , shame on u pete .

This is at least the third occasion that I have experienced issues with my order at this restaurant. They just cancelled my McDelivery order for no reason and have missed items as part of orders on at least two other occasions. This isn’t just an issue experienced with delivery either with items missed in pickup from the restaurant too. Had enough and will not be ordering from here again.

Visited 05 October, around 9am and ordered a McMuffin meal. Waiting for the meal, I'm watching the cook (who I was later advised was the manager) prepare all orders wearing no gloves and cross contaminating different meals. Hygiene aside, anyone with a custom order due to allergies would be affected. Asking for a refund, I was advised the gentleman preparing the food was the manager and would assist me. The manager came round direct from the kitchen area, not washing their hands or using sanitizer, to action my refund handling cash. No doubt they would go back to food preparation without cleaning their hands, but I didn't hang around to find out. I was advised by that manager that it was store policy to not wear gloves, and to nit return there if I had an issue with this. You can be sure I won't be returning after witnessing THAT type of food preparation.

I have complained about missing food for ages when I go through the drive through, but recently, the last 4 times I have been nothing is missing, the burgers are put together well, the staff are friendly. I dont know what has changed but it is like a new restaurant, seriously improved. Well done

Took about 10 minutes for 2 milkshakes and 1 Big Mac that was slapped together, I don’t usually complain as they can get busy in the 313 store but seeing as they had 3 orders on their screens the least they could do is put my burger together properly. Just happy I didn’t get any fries today as they are normally cold and taste stale 🤦🏻‍♂️

The slowest service ever! People wandering around like they don't want to be there, plenty of people need a job! Coffee lukewarm, just drinkable as sits on the side for so long, one person dishing the orders into bags whilst others stand around. The food is hot so only good thing

Ordered through deliveroo because I’ve got a new born and it was a quick easy meal to get took 30 minutes to get to me (I live around 10 minutes walk away from the store) all my food was cold, my fries taste stale and everything was just thrown in the bag without any care. my large fries looks like a medium at best even after putting all the loose fries back in my box! Seems like this store get lazier every day and can’t seem to basic tasks like put straws in a bag for my drinks (1 of which is a milkshake) even when I go into store 0313 I have to send something back or complain about service the majority of the time 🤦🏻‍♂️

We’ve noticed that the food today is quite different from what we’ve enjoyed here before. It seems the flavors and presentation aren’t quite the same. We understand there’s a new chef under new management with a new restaurant name, but we feel the quality isn’t meeting the usual standard. Perhaps this feedback could be shared with the kitchen?

I have been here at Chiang - Mai Thai restaurant a few times , every time we come here food is always amazing , very tasty , reasonable price and all staff are very friendly. Highly recommend !!

Absolutely delicious food, well worth a trip if you're in the area. It's a small authentic restaurant inside the complex just off the street, and the staff were all very friendly. The homemade Thai sausages were fantastic, as was the Tom Yum. We had the beef pepper stir fry and the mixed seafood, with the broccoli in oyster sauce side and it was all so good we could've eaten it all again! We'll definitely go back. Small notes: they don't take AMEX (normal) and the seats aren't particularly comfy but you'll be distracted by the food anyway.

Authentic and amazing Thai food at very reasonable prices! We enjoyed a variety of dishes, and each one had clearly been made with such care and attention to every ingredient. Tender prawn tempura, flavourful Thai spicy sausage, chicken in a delicious garlic and pepper sauce and last but not least the incredible weeping tiger- the beef was perfectly cooked and the sauce was amazing. What a delight to find such a charming restaurant in our area! Thank you for a delicious meal and great service we will be back.

Really nice family running a nice little restaurant. Quick, friendly service and really nice food. Some dishes are very spicy but if you ask they will make it milder. Price is not cheap but not too expensive and I would say the food is worth the money.

I was excited to show my family the wonders of Thai food, but unfortunately I was slightly let down as this restaurant is more pan-asian. The starters were reasonable and some of the other food looked ok but I was rather disappointed with my jungle curry (pictured). A nice place to go for a casual meal but I will probably not be visiting again.

Proper British style Indian grub. As soon as you walk in to the open kitchen you can see these guys are seasoned pros of the game - owner is absolute G and never fails to chuck in a bit extra. Asked if they could create a truly authentic dish for my father in laws bday a while back, with 24 hours notice they can whip up off menu delights - great place

Excellent food served in generous amounts by friendly welcoming staff. Probably the best Indian Takeaway in this area. Believe me it is well worth a visit you won’t be disappointed.

Conveniently located in the precinct with plenty of free parking. Staff was friendly and polite. There plenty to choose from. The food didn’t take long to be ready for collection. The portion size was generous, the taste was amazing and the food was hot (temperature). Definitely a hidden gem and good value for your money. Recommended.

Came in around 9 took about 10/15 minutes to even get served or even be acknowledged that I wanted to order there was two staff on to which one staff left leaving the other guy alone for about 10 minutes once he came back they were more focused on delivery’s one I got my coffee about 20 minutes later tasted like coffee granules won’t be visiting here again waste of money and not the greatest start to my day

I usually enjoy a visit to Costa. I nearly left when I heard they were only using takeaway cups. We had coffee and cake but the cakes were in bags so a bit of a mess trying to eat. Apparently the dishwasher was broken. We heard the staff talking about us after they got my drink wrong. And the place was a bit of a mess! Not good!

The great thing about visiting Costa is you know how good it's going to be before you get there! Whichever shop you visit, you're assured of the same quality of food and drink as every other shop in the franchise!

Not faulting the staff who were working very hard but this store is in dire need of refurbishment. The chairs were filthy and my feet were sticking to the floor! I drank my coffee with my bag on my lap because I couldn't find anywhere clean to put it down! The tables are tired and worn, black damp rising up most of the walls. I was honestly shocked at the state of this establishment.

We often use this Costa Service always good, polite staff always make you feel welcome Quite busy at the just after 0800hrs. Orange juice and bacon roll. Very handy for Halfords ,Home bargains , Matalan. Pets are us. Shared car park , often very busy

Very good Costa place with friendly staff. The place itself has a lot of natural light, 3 of the 4 walls are almost glass-made letting the sun light in. Even though it is a crowded place, it is reasonably quit and comfortable. Couple of sofas too which makes it cosier. It is surrounded by cheap-like shops so a great place to start the Saturday cheap-shopping day

Was very quiet when we called in, around 2pm in the afternoon, we had a lemon tart and cinnamon bun and cold Frappe/smoothie drinks, mango & passionfruit smoothie and strawberry & cream frappe can be seen in my picture, as it was rather a warm day.

Food is pretty good, but good luck when something goes wrong. We've had multiple issues with food turning up extremely late, not at all or the wrong orders, sometime a combination of those, when that does happen, there's not so much as a sorry, pitiful customer service, theres slim to no chance of getting any compensation either, will not be ordering from them again

This WAS my favourite Chinese in eastleigh ordered last night at a Peak time my order was with me within 12 mins and I’m a 5 min drive away is that doesn’t shout prep cooked I don’t know what does. Also special fried rice had hardly any meat in. Think it’s time to find a new take away. Disappointed as used them for the last 12 years

2 hrs late for delivery. The chap was very apologetic. The food was luke warm but warm enough to eat but the time waited for the delivery was not acceptable. I finally got to eat at 22:15, not good.

Service was abysmal waited for an hour over the estimated delivery and nothing had arrived and we had not been contacted that our food would be delayed. Tried to call for quarter of an hour before eventually getting though and was very carelessly told that it should arrive in half an hour. Half an hour later, there was still no sign of any food. So tried calling through on the phone and not having any luck for another 15 minutes. My partner decided to go down there to see what was happening and ask for our money back. There were 2 other people in the shop in the same scenario. One of them had been waiting an hour longer than us. We had been waiting a total of 2 and a half hours before getting our money back. So we were unable to order from elsewhere also. The food might be good, I am unable to confirm that, but if you would like to try it I would suggest you put your order in at least the night before

We have been customers for years but no more. rubbery noodles in pad thai and burnt meat in duck and pork rice. last week vertually no meat in chicken and pork rice. web site has been updated and i wonder if new owner / chef. ahh well lily garden delivers now and there amazing apparently.

We order for 3 every week and cost around £30, For weeks now the quality of the fish has gone to barely any fish just a slither and today it was like a long fish finger but same price as normal. I also changed one order to a chip butty thinking it would be like any other chippy in a bag like a bag of chips but in and around the bap. Especially when they charge an extra pound for the bap, for it only to have 13 chips in it and a a few scraps of crispy chips. Sorry but £5 for that is a disgrace. In Southampton city centre Mikes these are £2.80 and loads of chips. They are nowhere near the cheapest around either. I will not be using them again that’s for sure.

Fancied some fish and chips and this was closest at the time. Ordered a medium fish and chips meal deal for just under a tenner and added curry sauce. The fish was upgraded to a bigger size which was nice. Then came the tasting once home. Lovely fish with crispy tasty batter and the chips were quite good too. I do think the Curry sauce was a little over priced however at £2.25 ish but I fancied it. Wasnt bad but didn't think it was worth the price hence only 4 stars. Would definitely visit again however and the staff are very friendly. Gets very busy and is popular so allow some time during peak hours in evening for food to cook fresh. Hope to try other things on the menu soon :)

Ordered cheesy chips today but when I started to eat them I noticed that there was a dark black hair in my chips. Completely put me off the food.Will not be going back here again at all.

Really happy with our fish and chip supper tonight. We had cod, haddock, chips, curry sauces, pea fritter and pineapple fritter - all perfect and hot. Very busy, but staff coped brilliantly and definitely worth the wait. Pleased to have found a new, decent, local chippy.

Great Coffee but very, very poor WiFi. The staff in many locations across the Caffé Nero chain in England agree that the WiFi is very poor. Costa Wifi = Good. Starbucks Wifi = Very Good. Fingers crossed the guys at Caffé Nero can sort out such an important issue. If you are not concerned about WiFi but love Coffee this is the place to go. Sort the Wifi out and I'm good to go from 1 to 5 Stars.

We visited this coffee shop last weekend, it was such a sunny, hot day and so decided to catch up and to have some nice, fresh drinks. We both had a cold caffe latte, one of them with added pistachio syrup and the other with cherry syrup. We have tried each other drinks and they were both delicious, I totally recommend either of them really. I have added a photo as well to my comment

The coffee here is soo delish. Friendly staff faces and relaxing atmosphere, a perfect high street spot for morning or afternoon hot drink. The luxury mocha is a win for this autumn.

Since the new manager change over it’s a much nicer feel, better layout of store, staff are now much much happier, vibe is better. And they make a perfect DRY cappuccino

Sat in for a quick coffee before meeting. Staff attentive and friendly.

My first visit and a perfect start to the day ready for a bike ride. A group visit of 3 mountain bike riders and we sat outside on a sunny Saturday morning. I had the full English and it was a perfect portion for me of good produce and a quality coffee to wash it down with. Friendly, efficient staff of which we wanted to thank, but they were very busy so we didn't have the chance. Thank you! I've always had a soft spot for Eastleigh and I love seeing and supporting businesses like this that push it forward. :)

Such lovely food. All cooked fresh. I had bubble and squeak with bacon and poached eggs. The bacon was thick and cooked to perfection. The poached eggs were delicious and just runny enough. Very tasty. Will definitely visit again.

Great spot for brekkie or brunch. Compact so need to be patient or get lucky with your timing! Usual suspects, full English etc. good veggie options too. Strong cake and treats game, available from the glass display case at the front. Has a sort of "the ceiling could fall in at any moment" kind of vibe but it's all good! Popular spot and deservedly so.

The shish & kofte kebab for £14 ladies and gentlemen. Absolute joke, it wouldn't even feed a child. It also arrived late and cold. There's not even a handful of meat. Not to mention most of the so-called "meat" that is here is fatty. I took one bite and spat it out. I wish I could give 0 stars, do not recommend. Honestly amazed they are still in business.

Since I discovered Monett it has been my go-to place for food. I've never been disappointed. I've recurrently started stopping in on my way home. The guys working there are exceptionally nice and welcoming. The quality of the food is excellent. The salad looks fresh. The food is always served fresh and hot. The portions are very reasonable. I can rarely finish mine. The prices are also very reasonable and the menu is extensive. Visiting is a nice experience. It is a shame that the overall rating is 2.5. it's important to note that most of these ratings were given under previous management so don't be put off.

Its not the best tasting kebabs. Sauce is not very nice. Staff are OK and not had a delivery, so can't comment on that. It's an average high street kebab shop.

Never buy from this place. We ordered at 5:45 and the food didn’t arrive until 19:30 it was estimated to arrive at 18:30. We tried to call the store no one picked up. The food is cold and not worth the money. Save your money and time never order from this place. We wanted a refund and couldn’t get any help. Rude and disrespectful!!!

Not only is the food good price and really good the staff really go above and beyond!! Would love to thank the absolute angel of a delivery driver working in Monnett kebab in eastleigh. We broke down and have been awaiting a tow truck for over 2 hours. This gent delivered our food and around an hour later returned to my fiancé and I with cups, tea bags, sugar, milk and a kettle to keep us warm. Honestly brings so much joy to me there are amazing people out there still

In the area for the weekend from Dublin and came across this little gem. The food was really good, great service and it’s very reasonably priced, I had the ninja breakfast and they let me swap out mushrooms for extra hash👌🏼 If I lived in the area I’d be sure that this would be a local.

Breakfast visit today. Two meals which were excellent, poached eggs on toast, and the standard breakfast. Both meals served hot, and on hot plates. Service was as good as on our previous visit. Consistent quality of service I now believe this deserves 5 Stars. Previous visit Mid morning coffee and tea cakes. Not as busy as usual on this visit. Very clean. Service and staff excellent. Extensive menu including one for children.

Quick bite of the Mediterranean before off to the cinema. Simple decor and great service. We popped in with 40 mins to spare before start of the movie and said we were in a hurry.... Great choice of Greek favourites and good portions washed down with Mythos! Moussaka was tasty with side of garlic pitta bread.

This was the first time using this restaurant. We got a takeaway and ate at our friend’s house. None of us enjoyed our meals.My husband had ordered a garlic naan but there was no garlic and it was burnt as was his onion bajhi starter. His Chicken Jalfrezi was watery and tasteless as was my main course( mushroom curry and rice). I had a chapati which was tough at the edges and crispy in the middle ( like a popadom).For this we paid over £28. This was our first time at Touch of Spice and will certainly be our last.

Poor quality. Last 2 currys been shocking. Won't be returning. Watery, lamb korai had not been near a spice. Just like a watery lamb stew. Very little lamb so more like onion stew. Tried it again after last curry from there last year. It's got worse and the worst Indian I have ever had.

Have never had a bad meal from here but todays was amazing. I had the set vegetarian meal for one and there was sooo much food and it was fabulous quality. The other half was very happy with his meal as well, the lamb was tender and the onion bhaji were excellent, not at all dry. We would recommend them to anyone.

Hour late in delivery, korma was like soup with 4 bits of chicken and mango chutney was more like mango sauce, order lime pickle got mint sauce. Rest was really greasy. Won’t order again from this restaurant.

Have honestly had about 30 orders from here over the years and the last 3 have just been horrific. New chefs, management? I really don’t know. Ordered again last night just to see if the last 2 were just a bad day for them. But no. Took 2 hours to deliver. Everything was honestly stone cold and weirdly flavourless? The madras was certainly not a madras lol. The sagaloo had an interesting spiky bit of wood that I almost choked on… which is attached in the photos. Honestly what’s happened? Phoned up to make taroka aware and they just said it’s a Saturday night, we’re busy, which yep I understand that lol. They did apologise but really didn’t come across like they’d acknowledged anything.

Pre-ordered directly from the website for the first delibery slot and food was extremely late. When I called to chase up, half an hour after our latest time, I was simply told its on the way and then hung up on. Extremely poor service

Ordered from here due to limited choice of Indian takeaways, I can certainly see why its only got around 3 stars.. Shame I couldn't have ordered from elsewhere as the star rating did put me off. Food arrived not piping hot, had to warm up the curry in the microwave before eating. The onion baji's were so dry and chewy, had the texture of eating like jerky or something. Curry's tasted nice but were a little watery and the flavours just weren't as rich as other places I've ordered from. Naan bread was too stodgy as well. It was alright in a pinch, but I wouldn't order again and I wouldn't recommend either.

Not normally a great fan of Indian food to be honest prefer a good Chinese but Wow the food was amazing and I mean amazing large portions and so much flavour. We will definitely be ordering again. Also the price is a lot less than other Indian restaurants that deliver.

We have had regular fantastic takeaways from Taroka. Always a good quantity of food that's really tasty, cooked in an open kitchen and reasonably priced. It's our go-to for Indian food. We generally call up and collect, some of the negative reviews seem to be due to delivery.

Absolute state of the pizzas that I’ve just had delivered. Hopefully the replacement pizzas they are sending out won’t have been kicked across road like these ones. Update - pizzas were re-delivered fairly promptly so a plus in that respect.

Use to order here alot, at least 2 times a month. To feed a family of 4, so orders would be in excess of £40. Did a huge order when my family came to visit and was short 1 small tub of ice cream, called up and they advised driver said all ice cream was there. Requested to speak to manager/supervisor, was asked to hold the line. After waiting a few minutes, someone came on and hung up. Never ordered again since and have been using Papa Johns and Dominos.

Dear Pizza Hut, I never write reviews but after a really stressful week at work and lack of sleep I needed some comfort food tonight for myself and my little boy who’s 4. My child was so delighted with the ninja turtle pizza box and I absolutely loved the thought of writing a hand written note. Not only did it make me smile but it really made me believe that you guys are really working hard and taking that little bit of extra time and care- thank you. The pizza was absolutely delicious and it put a smile on mine and my little boys face. The delivery driver was also really friendly. I didn’t have a tip in my purse but I will be sure to tip in future. Thank you so much to the team at Pizza Hut.

Very disappointed. Delivery time kept changing later and later after 40 minutes rang up to find out what was going on. Was informed they were waiting on Uber driver. Went and collected myself, got home to find out I had 2 cheese pizzas instead of one being Hawaiian. In the future I will be going elsewhere.

I have ordered the Singapore noodles and they were burnt so they exchanged it with fresh ones which were properly made. Second time third time they’d done the same with the chow mein!! Disgusting service on the phone as well really rude and obnoxious, telling me the first time that they were not willing to deliver me food I had also paid tons of money and they had done this on purpose 👎👎👎

Update: just tried this place again, 2 yrs later, they still serve greasy muck Waited 90mins just to get soggy chips, greasy balls n barely flied lice, only ate half because I was hank marvin and had to wash it down with a couple of beers. Only ordered from here because I didn't have the cash on me to pay for one from Lily Garden, wont bother again tho, I'd rather eat my own boogers n toe nail clippings

Having moved to the area not too long ago. This was the first time we have tried this takeaway it is definitely the best Chinese food we have had in this area, so far. Portions are very generous and tasty especially the Singapore mixed meat rice noodles. The only fault they forgot one of the dishes in our order but that was quickly rectified and compensated. Will return.

Just ordered this for my partner's birthday evening and food was amazing. Piping hot , tasty and not too greasy. First Chinese takeaway we've had since the start of the year and safe to say we'll be ordering again from here. Thanks to the chef!

First time trying tonight. Absolutely delicious!! The chow mein was lovely, not greasy one bit and prawns were plentiful, and the chicken balls were more chicken and not doughy like other Chinese restaurants.

Always good food been using them for nearly 3 years now. The only thing that lets them down are there delivery drivers occasionally dictating they will not deliver to Bishopstoke due to traffic when there is none. But to collect it's quicker anyway so not a problem.

While I appreciate that Papa John's is quick to replace orders when there’s an issue, the quality has really declined—at least at this branch. The original pizza arrived with barely any cheese, dry tomato sauce, and toppings that didn’t even reach the crust. Unfortunately, the replacement wasn’t much better. They used to serve pizzas that looked like the ones in the menu photos—generous and well-made. Now, it feels like they’re cutting corners on ingredients. Given the quality and value, I won’t be ordering again. The Domino’s opposite is a much better option, both in taste and in consistency. I don’t want a dry pizza, and sadly, Papa John's seems to think that’s acceptable.

I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but this experience was beyond frustrating. I ordered a pizza for delivery and what I received was an absolute mess. First of all, the pizza arrived cold—not just lukewarm, but genuinely cold to the touch, like it had been sitting around for an hour before being delivered. To make things worse, the toppings were completely wrong. I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza, and instead, I got some kind of veggie combination with no pepperoni in sight. It wasn’t even close to what I paid for. When I called to try and get the issue resolved, the customer service was shockingly bad. The person on the phone was rude, dismissive, and acted like it was my fault. No apology, no solution—just a lot of attitude and zero accountability. Between the cold food, incorrect order, and awful customer service, this was easily one of the worst delivery experiences I’ve ever had. I won’t be ordering from here again, and I suggest others think twice before doing so.

Very disappointed, first time using them, the pizza base was over cooked and chewy. The garlic sauce which came with the pizza's was absolutely disgusting. Chicken poppers were nice with hot dip that's it the rest went in the bin.

Pizza is very delicious & staff is also very friendly. I loved papa john's pizza. Topping is also very good.

Went with a group to the inclusive Cinema to see Witches, Great for all abilities and lovely calm atmosphere lights kept on low light and an interval on film to have a drink and biscuits. Our group members loved it ❤️

We attend Move and Munch here. It's a class for 6 month - 3 year olds and it's great. It's a lovely space to dance and a lovely, warm building.

We purchased a large kebab, small cod & small chips. On arriving home I am very disappointed with the fish, very dry & not good value for money. We have been coming to this shop for many years but were very disappointed this evening. This was 4 days ago, the reason we left our review for 4 days is I initially messaged them directly on messenger for a response, but they have ignored me.

honestly i don’t like fish, but the fish here doesn’t taste like fish. this is the first place ive ever enjoyed fish and chips, the batter is crisp and shatters in a bite, and the fish breaks apart before you can even use a knife or fork. lovely curry sauce & great service, thank you

Best fish and chips for MILES around . I've tasted them all over the UK , and the best , I've always maintained , were on the Isle of Mull . Sandra's is right up on a level par with them . I can't offer any higher praise than that ! And you don't have to rob a bank to sample them either ! Very reasonable in this day and age , especially for the quality , which is faultless . 😋

Well cooked fresh food. Good selection from the old favourites of fish and chips to extremely nice chicken kebabs. Very nice, friendly staff. Can't recommend enough.

To me, this puts Eastleigh on the map. I travel from Romsey or Bitterne, especially to buy from here, as nothing local can compete. There is always a que outside before opening and during.. that's because it's so popular. If this could be a chain and keep the high standards, it would be very popular around the globe. The key is consistency, value, and passion towards quality food. If you want a doner kebab, chicken, or old ladies leg, both are fantastic here. Not slithers in a warming draw, but big chunky flavoursome pieces of meat freshly cut. Jalapeano Peppers is a great idea. Chopped long ones would be one better. Just a suggestion. The chips are also "VERY GOOD" and the fish is proper Cod, not river Cobbler... Whenever I want to treat my friends who used to live doors away from this place, their eyes light up with the suggestion of a Sandra's takeaway. This place must go in the Doomsday book of must eat places. Well done Sandra and your staff. Keep up the good work and please never sell up or close down, or change owner or ever change or change direction in your lives lol. :)

Sandra's Fish & Chips lived up to their reviews and then some. The 2 young ladies on the counter were so polite, friendly and helpful - excellent service. Sandra was busy behind them ensuring the food came out freshly cooked in no time at all. The cod and chips was perfect, very tasty, generous portions and good value. We chose this chippy based on great google reviews and it didn't disappoint. We were visiting the area for a few days and didn't want to bring fish n chips back to the hotel so the fact they had indoor seating was a plus.

Enjoyed every visit. The staff are friendly and helpful (and patient when your struggle to choose). My children love it and feel like they’ve had a special treat. You literally couldn’t buy a lemonade in most restaurants for the price of a “small” tea here and the small isn’t that small.

I love Bubble Drop! I come here regularly for my bubble tea fix and it is one of the best places in Eastleigh. The staff are so nice, the owner is the absolute best! The drinks are so tasty, and the owner takes the time to chat with you as well whilst waiting for your drink. I’ve gone through so many loyalty cards and will go through many more! It was honestly the best bubble tea I've had for such a reasonable price! The servers were amazing and gave newcomers extra boba and all round just really sweet and kind! Definitely going again soon

Lovely drinks (I recommend the cherry Bakewell). Paul is lovely , had a nice chat with him all the times me and my mum and sometimes brother have gone in. Never had a bad drink.

First time visiting. My daughter’s 7th birthday and she’s been asking for bubble tea. He was super helpful with his recommendations and easy to understand signs! He offered a “free of charge change your drink” if I didn’t like it! (Which we loved the drink anyway) My daughter left and said “he was really nice” which made her birthday special. Thank you

Lovely pub with beautiful scenery. Food was spot on although they'd been busy on this particular Sunday so ran out of a lot of the menu including the roast.. we booked in advance. Dog friendly too.

We had a really nice meal it was our 47th wedding anniversary I was a bit surprised that I got a beautiful cooked steak and chips but you need more on the plate like mushrooms and peas not that blasted rabbit greens 😵‍💫 but apart from that a really lovely evening thank you

Exceptional service by a young man called George. We arrived with three toddlers, a baby and two dogs for a Sunday lunch at a very busy pub. They were very welcoming, warm and accommodating. Food was delicious (including their vegan option!) and was served really quickly. 5 stars + it has been a while since we had such a great experience at a pub Well done all

Lovely food that's well presented. Beautifully decorated interior with a nice outside area overlooking a private lake, so a great time to come in the summer.

It is a lovely pub, by the lake, the view is amazing. In my opinion, it is a bit pricey, but I presume is related with the lake location. Food was alright, the desert was really nice.

We had a lovely roast dinner here this weekend, but the highlight of our trip was the fabulous service - including a birthday celebration for our dog, complete with candle in a sausage! What an amazing group of staff in a beautiful setting. We can’t wait to return!

Lovely location. BUT the FOOD WAS CRAP. My family ordered seared fillet sea bass (baby potatoes needs more cooking), grilled bacon chop (pineapple was stale), kids meal- chicken nuggets, chips, veggie sticks (looked like a week old, soggy and unpeeled, that type of scrap you give to a guinea pig), beef burger that's dry..don't waste your money and go somewhere else.
