Must try!!! Love local seafood and the Fish Kitchen prepares it to perfection. Crab sandwich and fish tacos were super fresh and flavourful. Desserts lovely. Not to mention the staff are great👍🏻
Trish D — Google review
The food at the Fish Kitchen was nothing short of exceptional. I don’t often seek out fish restaurants, but when this restaurant was recommended to me, I decided to take the plunge—and I am so glad that I did. The setting strikes a perfect balance between relaxed and inviting, and we were warmly welcomed by staff who clearly love what they do. Once seated, we discovered the restaurant’s clever approach to sustainability: instead of traditional menus, the day’s offerings are presented on a wall-mounted board, adding a touch of charm and originality to the experience. The food itself was remarkable. The fish cakes, brimming with fresh hake, cheddar, and capers, were rich in flavour, each bite offering a delightful burst of freshness. My partner’s scampi was equally impressive! So good, in her words, that she “wanted more,” though the generous portion left little to be desired. After our meal, we enjoyed an engaging chat with the staff about local produce and attractions, which made the experience feel all the more personal. It’s clear that the owners have poured both passion and care into the Fish Kitchen, and it shines through in every detail. Part of me would rather keep this gem a secret, just to ensure we can always find a seat when we return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Fish Kitchen. The staff were so friendly. A very relaxed atmosphere. Fresh food and absolutely delicious. Irish staff! Authentic. Definitely value for money. Thanks so much! Would highly recommend.

This place was special. I was driving through town and looked at Google reviews. This place has highly rated as it should be. Had a great lunch here and recommend it. I had tandoori monk fish
Paul W — Google review
Lovely fresh seafood and friendly staff. Well worth a visit
David G — Google review
Lovely fish place with daily changing menu and plenty of local Irish seafood. Mussels were cooked well in a nice flavorful sauce. It all came with a fragrant bread. We also ordered the raw oysters which are always a treat in Ireland. Nice vinegar dip for the oysters too. Beer drinkers will have to forego the draft beer here but canned options were plentiful (and cold) .

Recommended by locals. Went for lunch on a Wednesday. Upstairs were fully booked but there were tables on ground floor and outside available. Many choices for lunch menu which I appreciated a lot. Reasonable price. Would definitely come again next time when we are in the area

Wonderful lunchtime monkfish scampi and deconstructed tiramisu. Probably best to book as quite small space. Went on recommendation as well worth it

Great little find especially for our wedding anniversary. Made welcome, food was fantastic especially the rice pudding and ice-cream, real treat. The manager and the team had it running like clockwork, well done. Will certainly recommend the restaurant. Thanks for the great hospitality.

A small gem of a place. This is well deserving of our 5* Google rating. We had a delicious three course meal for two and wine for €150 inc. fillet steak main. Food was such good quality and plenty of it. Service was attentive but respectful. Open Thursday-Sunday only, booking highly recommended- we booked on the day for a Thursday sitting but hear weekend bookings could be a 2-3 lead time, tho watch out on their Facebook page for late cancellations. Well worth the visit.

At 75 years of age I have eaten well. I have to say the meal I had on Thursday was absolutely one of my best ever. The black sole was out of this world. Don’t tell anyone about this gem.

Wonderful food made from the best possible ingredients and cooked to absolute perfection. These guys really know what they are doing! Such a lovely place with amazing staff. Very lucky to have been able to experience this wee gem during our Irish weekend away from Scotland.

Donemark West is a fantastic restaurant in Bantry. This is actually the second time we have eaten here and as we are from the UK, we were looking forward to returning. From the outside it looks very unassuming but once you are inside you will be treated to some great Irish non-fussy gastronomy. Every course we had was beautifully presented and the steak is the standout which melts in your mouth. The service is also first class, very welcoming, polite and attentive.

Cosy pub atmosphere with warm staff. Food is very good with enough variety of offerings for everyone. Seafood never fails to be fresh and full of flavour. Don’t have to wait in the winter but make reservations in the summer✔️👍🏻
Trish D — Google review
Very nice food, the banana split dessert was amazing. So simple yet so delicious. Lovely to sit outside on a warm Summer day too. Deducting a mark overall though as the service was very poor. It was admittedly very busy, but there was nobody in charge of the outside seating area. Took a long time for our order to be taken, and it was only taken after I went back inside to flag down a waitress. Also had to flag someone down to take our dessert order and clear our plates. €30 is also a bit too much to pay for a basic salmon main course, even if was nice.
Alan — Google review
We had a lovely meal and both the food and service were great. I had the Hereford Sirloin special andy wife had the local crab salad. They were very busy on a Friday evening, but we were seated quickly. Maeve was very attentive and made us feel welcome.
Will H — Google review
Me and my friend went here, portion size are big and food is good but service from staff was horrible, they were really slow and treated us differently because we were not local and we were two twenty year old girls, when we were paying the man at till/bar actually snapped at me and my friend because we didn’t understand what he said. Their attitude would want attention and fixing immediately. But overall the food was good. 2/10
Anita S — Google review
Excellent food with a great friendly service. Sitting in the snug was just a fantastic experience. And the home cooked meals was just that but perfectly done.
Mike W — Google review
Excellent pub that does great food and had an amazing atmosphere.very busy place but there's plenty of seating outside if the weather is ok.
Ian B — Google review
We enjoyed the monkfish and salmon, and the halibut. They both came with veg and mash. Very delicious and very large portions of fish. I thought the halibut was exceptionally good because it came with prawns and mussels too. Highly
Crystal L — Google review
Plenty of seating indoors (didn't have to wait for a party of six) and on the patio (seemed like four people max per table). A good few menu options for everyone: steak, seafood, vegetarian, etc. but the quality was average at best. The chicken wings were flavored well but would be loads better finished off roasted over a flame. The sole seemed soggy. The service was by far lacking the most. Server-by-committee means everyone else thinks someone is looking after the table, when in fact hardly anyone was making sure we're being looked after.

Moves from USA to West Cork and my husband misses pizza. He LOVED the pepperoni pizza here. The crust was perfect, wide number of toppings available. Exactly what he was craving. Loads of people picking up to go on the way home. Pasta was good too, very big portions. Will definitely order again!

Superb pizza. Very veggie and vegan friendly. Place was buzzing. Good wine by the glass too.

Lovely spot in Bantry! The wood-fired pizzas are fresh and taste delicious , there’s also a great variety of seafood, pasta, and steaks. Staff are friendly and attentive, Perfect for families or a casual night out. Minus 1 star for ordering chips and never getting them
Jim P — Google review
We got two pizzas from here takeaway the other night and there was long black hairs embedded into the cheese I pulled one out that I thought was a little one and it pulled out from under the cheese, we only realised after we had already ate most of it 😢😢 tried to ring the restaurant to let them know after but they did not pick up. The pizza was good tasting other than that fact and the chicken wings are unreal !! Just unfortunate!
Asha S — Google review
Fantastic food, I had the seafood linguini special - definitely up there as one of the best I've ever had
Noel M — Google review
Very nice place to eat. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant. The food was delicious.
Laura R — Google review
Came to the Brickoven restaurant and ordered 7up, cappuccino, spicy pepperoni Served quite quickly brought water that I really wanted after a hot day, but not enough for all people And after literally 5 minutes they brought cappuccino and in addition 1 cookie. The cappuccino was quite tasty, the proportions were met. The mobile Internet in the restaurant is very bad, it's a huge minus for using the phone. It took me a long time to cook food, I was very hungry and was late for the bus, waiting for my pizza for 54 minutes. Also, the flowers on the table are very sluggish and the mugs after drinking water do not take away, which interferes in the future Salt pours out on the table We were literally forgotten for 50 minutes Once again, I notice that the staff is working very slowly Another minus is that there is no socket for the phone The chairs are quite comfortable, but sitting on them and waiting for "" is terrible My friend waited for the steak for about 51 minutes And another friend waited for the salad for 52 minutes The chairs are a bit dirty in food crumbs The pizza is not tasty at all, they overdid it with the ingredients, they also didn't bring water After eating My friends and I are very unhappy with the restaurant Restaurant rating - 2 But the assessment is very far-fetched.
Arsenoff L — Google review
We came to the Brick Oven two days in a row! Once for a quick bite, I had the French onion soup and my partner had a chicken pasta dish, both were tasty! The next night we were upstairs for an event where we had the pizza which was very good! Great little spot right near the water. Lots of seating outside as well!

A beautiful historical home. It has an amazing history. It needs a little TLC but that is underway. It hosts the West Cork musical festival at the end of October. Something you could consider of visiting at that time. It has beautiful gardens to boot!!

I visited Bantry House and was soon blown away by authentication of everything in this house. The family still live in part of the house and presently are the 10th generation. I would highly recommend visiting this house. Do put it on places to visit 😍

A wonderful journey through time to a country estate that is rich in history. An honest and dedicated team transports guests to a time that was not defined by hustle and bustle and perfectionism. During 2 days we thoroughly enjoyed the warm hospitality - Thank you for this lovely experience..
Markus K — Google review
One of the most beautiful houses to visit in West Cork. The house and gardens are in great condition and well maintained. Especially good on a sunny day to stroll around the many levels outside.Really worth the trip to Bantry town as well
Myles T — Google review
A 5 Star Rating for 3 Reasons: 1. Beautiful comfortable bedrooms, and an exquisite breakfast (see photo). 2. The warmth and professionalism of the welcome, provided by Julie and her staff, including Jean, Niamh and Amy. 3. Last but definitely not least - Julie has set things up so that guests can truly enjoy a “Downton Abbey” experience including the baronial library, and ancient billiards table. To get the full experience, I recommend staying a minimum of 2 nights (we stayed 3). We had a memorable evening listening to big band tunes on the gramophone, playing billiards, before enjoying a gourmet charcuterie plate, washed down by a glass of excellent vintage wine. This was as close to seeing How the Other Half Lived as we are ever likely to get! Congratulations to the whole Bantry House team on creating such a memorable experience!
Justin A — Google review
Great place to stop on the way to Cork from Kerry. The house was so interesting to look at on the inside and out. Was sad we couldn't take pictures of the interior but I understand the reasoning. Would definitely be an amazing place to stay or rent for a special event. Highly recommend stopping in!

Organico is a family-owned health shop and cafe that has been serving the community since 1992. In 2014, the shop expanded to include a bakery and a spacious, inviting two-level space with large windows, industrial decor, and local artwork. The online store offers a seamless shopping experience with an extensive selection of organic and natural products. Customers praise Organico for its friendly service, reliability, low carriage costs, and prompt order fulfillment.
I ordered Organic bread flour in bulk. Very reasonable price and a lovely flour. It came really well packaged with a lovely free lemon, ginger and manuka honey teabag! Lovely touch 🥰 will definitely be ordering again. Made a lovely loaf 😍
Vanessa C — Google review
Organico company is one of the best, if not actually the best in Ireland! We've been ordering from them for many years. The choice they offer is great, as if they know what you are looking for, without unnecessary extras. We love some new things there, like new variety of freshly backed bread, which is stunning! I wish it would be some pastry for delivery too. We like fresh garlic and, if there's season, fresh lemons - always perfect quality. I wish it would be even more of fresh food if possible, of course. It's very nice to see a letter and a teabag attached to every order, like a warm touch. Then we'll get some of those teas, about which we wouldn't have an idea otherwise. I got some complementary cosmetics over the years, - and without Organico I wouldn't know about it. Now, I buy some of that stuff regularly, love it. All of it indicates that people who run the company are very professional. Also, when we get a home delivery, the parcel is packed to perfection, it's a joy to look at it. We would recommend Organico company to everyone!
Vassilina L — Google review
We've been shopping online with Organico for some time now and they are great. The range of goods is impressive and very good value for money. They keep us up to date about the status of the order and pack and dispatch very quickly. We've had nothing but great service and would definitely recommend them.
Paul W — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of ordering from Organico and was thoroughly impressed with their service. The delivery was exceptionally prompt, and the packaging was both minimal and waste-free. I was particularly delighted to find their pistachio spread, a personal favorite that my local suppliers are currently out of stock on. Additionally, I was able to purchase three packets of quinoa mix, an item that is not readily available in my area. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and will undoubtedly be a returning customer.
Kim N — Google review
Loved this store! It has literally everything you need from fresh Irish food to shampoo, all in very high organic quality! The atmosphere there is very cozy and they also serve a bit of cake and coffee, which was very delicious and made with love! Also, the staff is just so kind and helpful. Highly recommend!
Hans F — Google review
The timing was perfect — I’d just bought some supplements when they asked me to leave a review. After a few nightmare experiences with the after-sales “service” of big multinationals this week and their antagonistic attitude towards unhappy customers, the contrast really stands out. This is a genuinely lovely little company: warm, personal, and sincere without being sugary. Even the way they asked for a review — “just a quick favour” — hit the right note. And the complimentary Pukka teabag in the parcel was a nice touch. Exactly the kind of experience you hope for when supporting a small business — and rarely get.
James D — Google review
I am very grateful to Organico whom I have been using now for a few years and find them to be great to deal with: reliable, friendly with a wide range of products. Orders arrive in good time, packaged really well and always have the personal touch of a letter enclosed, complete with a lovely herbal tea sample... Key, also, is value for money. I recently spotted a product in a shop, which I had run out of, and it was considerably pricier than Organico (more than €2). To sum, I would highly recommend Organico for online health product purchases! - Julie Lee
Billy L — Google review
I have been a customer at Organico for seven years and am always delighted when I visit—friendly staff, excellent products. As I don't have time to shop in person at the moment, I placed an order online and everything went smoothly, with well-packaged items delivered quickly. Highly recommended!

A great stay in a great hotel, I would highly recommend ⭐️ Ideal location for exploring West Cork and wandering up the town, with a gorgeous view of Bantry bay from our hotel room! The service in the hotel was excellent, with all of the staff being very friendly and helpful, ensuring a good experience. Frankie, the bar supervisor, had great attention to detail as he got us another round of drinks without needing to ask what we'd been drinking, also going out of his way to get cucumber from the kitchen for my Hendricks & elderflower! 👏🏻 He also checked in afterwards to see was I enjoying my drink with the updated garnish ⭐️ The food was gorgeous in the hotel! The seafood was so fresh and cooked to perfection. We had the mussels to start and the salmon & seafood linguine for mains. One of our top meals to have while in the area! 😍 The rooms were lovely. Very clean and spacious, being well equipped. We enjoyed a lovely coffee from the Nespresso machine when we arrived (a great feature!) The leisure centre & facilities were great to be able to enjoy while staying, and we enjoyed lovely massages too. Siobhan was a gem to deal with and provided a great service ⭐️ Couldn't fault this hotel and will look forward to staying again when we are in the area 👏🏻

I love Bantry! Its in my top favorites of Irish towns. They have a huge market, I think the first Friday of the month (we lucked out first trip). Definitely recommend. Nice pool and rooms and good food at this hotel.

Absolutely lovely hotel located on the bay with beautiful views and few minutes walk from the town centre which has a great variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. We came to maser The High Kings at Live at the Bay and it was absolutely fantastic, will definitely be back again. The rooms were very roomy, clean and comfortable (especially the huge bed!)

Extremely pleased with our stay at the Maritime. The food was great, the rooms were very comfortable and spacious, pool facilities were fantastic and the staff (particularly restaurant and bar) were so friendly and accommodating. My son accidentally tripped and knocked over a glass coffee table which broke - the restaurant staff came out immediately and were extremely kind in making sure we were all ok and very understanding and sympathetic. Bantry is a stunning destination and you won't be disappointed by this hotel - perfect location and we were made to feel at home.

Have to say, one of the best experiences of hospitality I've had in a number of years in hotels in Ireland. Cannot fault the staff for their friendliness and professionalism. A number of staff went out of their way to be helpful and it felt like genuine attentiveness rather than the false kind you get in some places. Food was great, rooms are good, leisure centre was clean and everything was in working order. Four of us had massages with two therapists and all of us were happy with the service, the price and the lunch that we got afterwards. So much so that on our return journey from a week spent around West Cork we booked into the hotel for a night, including dinner. Would highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in or close to Bantry, it represents the best hospitality West Cork and Ireland has to offer. We will definitely return.

Superb 3 night family visit..an excellent hotel base for adventuring around West Cork. Relaxed and attentive staff and excellent food in the restaurant. Kids loved the swimming pool!! Well done all in the Maritime.
Dan B — Google review
Nice hotel with free parking. Great big rooms with great big beds. Breakfast was deeply disappointing and only for the service of a brilliant waitress with a classic accent, the hotel would rate one star less. Selection of cereals did not include a decent granola. Fried breakfast was bog standard, unattended and getting cold. There was no brown soda bread and one small basket contained pale, soggy mini-croissants, mini chocolate muffins, scones and one, near-dead, pain au chocolat all thrown together in disarray. Poached eggs were good and delivered straight to the table. Their accompaniments were luke warm tasteless tomato, congealing baked beans and some wonderful mushrooms. At a rate of 220 per night, not good enough. We had been brow-beaten at check-in to book a time for breakfast, but still had to queue as tables were not being cleared quickly enough as guests vacated tables. If breakfast was improved, our stay would have got four stars.
Cathy P — Google review
Overall the hotel is okay. But we are really skeptical about the four Stars. The room is okay, but it is incredibly hot and stuffy. We try to open the window basically the whole day, but it still gets very hot and stuffy again during the night, even though it's cold outside. The view towards the harbour is nice, but the street in front of the hotel is very loud since the windows also don't close properly. The housekeeping service is very nice, what you can't really say about the reception. When we arrived we basically had to ask everything since nothing was explained. The WLAN works quite well. The food is okay but nothing special. A SuperValu is available within a 5-min walk. If we will visit Bantry another time we probably wouldn't book this Hotel again.

O'Connors Seafood Restaurant is a popular seafood restaurant in the heart of Dublin. The restaurant was named the best seafood restaurant in Dublin by the readers of TripAdvisor in 2009, and it has since been re-assembled by the owner, Pat Kiely, who returned from a successful career as a head chef.
Great place. The seafood platter was full of fresh and amazing seafood, showcasing the best of local catches. We also ordered the curry with prawns, which was simply outstanding, and the fish and chips, which did not disappoint. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit, offering the high-quality food you look for when traveling the Wild Atlantic Way. The flavors and freshness made it a memorable dining experience.

Great place to meet for a coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner. All of which have a great sellection and the food is so fresh, flavoursome and nice portions. The owner is so nice, couldn't be more helpful, young and full of enthusiasm treating everyone that comes through the door like an friend. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Steve D — Google review
Stopped in on the way home. Browsed the menu on the wall outside. Something to satisfy both of us. We had the real fish and chips, generous portion of battered hake, , the mushy peas with mint not too my taste tartar sauce good, and the seafood with penne pasta from the specials menu was also generous in the ratio of seafood to penne, very enjoyable. Service was welcoming and attentive despite doing a brisk trade. No complaints.
Declan K — Google review
Fantastic dining experience right on Bantry Town Square. Everything in the menu looked fantastic and I was admiring every dish I saw coming out to other tables. I highly recommend both the fish cakes and the herb crusted hake, though. The staff were amazing. Super friendly, and knew the menu inside out. I heard them giving great recommendations to other tables. Definitely check out this spot. Feels like very high dining at very reasonable prices.

Amazing food and friendly staff! Highly recommend. I had the fishcake to start, then the traditional fish and chips and the sticky toffee pudding to top it all off. Great place for a feast after a day out in the sea air. All staff were wearing visors and they were cleaning down tables. Not entirely sure the tables were 2m apart but it was quiet when I was there at 9pm so it was fine.
Mitch L — Google review
The food was good, but the service wasn’t the best. Staff were friendly enough, but not the most attentive even though there were two individuals on shift and only one other couple in the place apart from my party. Stick to the seafood as the other items on the menu were not as good. Fish and chips were some of the best.
Gurv — Google review
The mussels and pan fried seabaas was nice. Wanted to order the seafood platter as there're photos of it on Google maps, but that's only for dinner menu which is after 5PM. Not many choices for seafood for lunch . Good point is the staffs are veet friendly, sky window brings good light. Street Parking outside free up to 3 hours.

Restaurant
Moghul Indian Restaurant in Bantry offers a menu filled with classic Indian dishes and daily specials. The restaurant operates on a Bring Your Own alcohol system, but there's an off-license conveniently located across the road. Customers can also opt for take-away orders. Diners have praised the sublimely spiced food with well-developed flavors, prepared individually to order.
The negative reviews are amusing - maybe show up at a reasonable time instead of 9pm close to closing time? Anyway, the food was quite good and a welcome change from the Irish cuisine everywhere else. Friendly service and BYOB made for an enjoyable dining experience. Can’t speak to the takeaway issues people are complaining about, but maybe go sit down and enjoy a coursed-out meal rather than judging on taking things in a box back home?
Rives D — Google review
Food was sublimely spiced with well developed flavours. Each meal is prepared individually to order, which is wonderful. We went for my child's 21st birthday celebration and had the loveliest time. The service was also excellent, and the restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated. We will definitely dine there again, thank you!

I'm french and I'm currently traveling in south west of Ireland. And surprise it was my first indian food experience 😋!! I sat inside and ordered a mouth watering mango lasso then a chicken biryani which was delicious with the sauce. The service was quick. However I didn't expected it would be as much spicy. Therefore if you're not yet used to indian food, I recommend you to ask the chief which dish are spicy or not. This restaurant made my day 🙂.

I had been working outdoors on a project most of the day and before I was going to drive back home (1h30min) I wanted to have some nice hot food. It was Good Friday and they were quite busy but to my surprise they cooked my takeaway order quickly as I told them I had some driving to do and when I got to my car to eat it the food exceeded my expectations, it was delicious!! And a very nice portion too. The waiter at the counter was very friendly. I’ll definitely be back, highly recommended.

Ma' Murphys Bar, located in the heart of Bantry, is a quintessential Irish pub exuding authentic charm and warmth. The traditional establishment features an old shopfront, a delightful beer garden, and regular live music sessions. Visitors are drawn to its genuine atmosphere and rich Irish character. Patrons appreciate the opportunity to step back in time within its historic walls and cobblestone walkway.
Lovely place for a late lunch: delicious soup and sandwich combo, and a great variety of beers on tap and in cans. The beer garden was so colorful and full of fresh flower arrangements.

Lovely place for a drink, chat, food and keep an eye out for music. Great character with different sections from Snug, long narrow bar with friendly service, side rooms plus beer garden both covered and not out the back. Pizza is back!!

Love Bantry! Ma'Murphys was great too. Tons of area to sit. Lots of nooks and open spaces. Beamish!!! I got on the airplane heading back home and they had a 20 minute episode on it available from 2018! Wish I had watched it before going.

This pub had a nice look about it, so we went in! Not disappointed. Great atmosphere, full of locals several bars, live music being set up. Great, we just had a few beers. Murphy's and 'Full Irish' ale both superb! Well recommended if you want to visit an authentic Irish pub.
Gavin B — Google review
Great vibe in that pub, which seems very small from the outside, but is quite deep with several rooms in the back and also a nice beer garden. Great atmosphere with friendly people and the staff is very nice, though not numerous enough to handle the crowd.
Francois G — Google review
We hosted our Day 2 celebrations at Ma Murphy’s in Bantry and couldn’t have been happier with the choice. It’s a gorgeous little gem – full of cosy, West Cork charm, with a touch of artsy cool that gives it a unique character. We organised everything through Gráinne, who was incredibly helpful and responsive from the outset. She answered all our questions promptly and went above and beyond to make the day run smoothly – even setting up a card machine in the Forge on short notice, which we really appreciated. The central location in Bantry town made it super handy for our guests to get to, especially after a big day the day before! We were lucky with the weather, which meant guests could make the most of the lovely beer garden – a real bonus. The charcuterie boards were a big hit too – delicious, generous, and ideal for relaxed grazing after the main event. All in all, Ma Murphy’s was the perfect venue for a laid-back, fun-filled follow-up to our wedding day. Highly recommended!

Visited yesterday and we were very impressed with the food and friendly service. To be honest, we’d gone in and didn’t expect much at all but we were pleasantly surprised. The chips were perfect - not at all greasy and the order was good value for money. Although the staff knew that we were out of the area, they made us feel very welcome and were happy to chat to us while our ‘take away’ order was being prepared. We’d recommend you to visit.

I visited here recently while on a staycation near Bantry with my partner, father and grandmother. We were all very impressed with the quality and taste of the food(pizza, fresh fish and chips and a quarter pounder meal) and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The lads behind the counter were very friendly and helpful and there was a very pleasant atmosphere. Fantastic value for money. In a great location and overall it was a top notch experience eating at Pizza World. There are a few tables both inside and outside but may not be suitable for a large group unless ordering for takeaway.

A beautiful shop full of crafts, handmade skin care products, jewellery, art and candles etc Lovely coffee and cake bar with tables and chairs. When we were there on a Sunday, when most of the town shops are closed, they had 2 ladies singing and playing instruments, drawing a crowd in. Excellent restaurant for dinner. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Good range of food on the menu. I ordered the buffalo mozzarella, penne pasta and Guinness cake which were all presented well and tasted lovely. Costs about €32 for a 3 course meal.. Overall a good place to have a meal
Josh M — Google review
Not impressed really, it's OK here. The food is well presented but fairly bland, dressed with sauces to give it some flavour. This really is a restaurant for older people who stay in the hotel. It tastes like mostly frozen products and at hotel prices. Not for me I'm afraid. Not a bad place, just not good enough to return.

Quite a surprising atmosphere, but lovely! Service was impeccable, despite our tardiness they accepted us, and the food was wonderful. I recommend their salmon starter with horseradish mayonnaise, it was delicious. It can be crowded, so I'd advise a reservation if you want to try.

We were left waiting when we arrived with no acknowledgement from staff as they passed us. There was about ten free tables so I can’t imagine it was too busy for us to be approached. The food was very disappointing for the cost. The steak was not a nice cut and overcooked possibly because of how thin it was. (12.50 supplement) Veg on the side was undercooked. We were not offered any drinks at any stage of our dining experience. Very disappointing experience overall.

With a cozy atmosphere, Breen's Lobster Bar provides delicious food that is both light and refreshing. Their chowder is particularly noteworthy, as it delivers a comforting and fresh taste.
We stopped her in the overnight motorhome parking area. This beautiful bistro style restaurant was just a short walk away. We had a fabulous fresh fish dinner the menu has enough choice but there are also daily specials. Our meal was fresh and full of flavour. I must admit to having an eye for a good pudding and mine was a delight lemon & lime meringue pie, just sharp enough to be refreshing and crisp topped meringue with a great crunch. If you do the Wild Atlantic Way make this one of your stops. Superb friendly service.

The place is nice and simple inside, it is hard to get a booking, but the food was delicious. We had couple of starters and mains and drinks and everything was great. Parking is on the street so you can be lucky to find a spot quickly, for us took us a while. When we went there they didn’t have available couple of options from the menu why wasn’t ideal but the ones they had available were very good.
Oriana D — Google review
Absolutely lovely gem of a spot. Great service, everyone was so kind and even helped call me a taxi after I missed my bus. The restaurant itself was very pretty and quaint and had very nice and well kept restrooms. And of course, the food was incredible. The fish was so so fresh and the side salad was a proper salad, not just a few pieces of lettuce and carrot like at most places where you get a side salad with fish and chips. It had apple, watermelon, beets, and great dressing. And the chips were great and both the breaded and steamed fish was delicious. The dessert was also amazing. Such moist cakes and the gluten free option was so good as well. 10/10. Would absolutely come here again and hope that other travelers stumble upon it!!

I had supper twice at Breens in mid-September 2025 and enjoyed both meals thoroughly. Though lord knows I don't need those extra calories, each meal I went with an appetizer, main and desert. The real highlight was the pan seared lemon sole with white wine, lemon and dill sauce I had as a main course. I can't remember ever having a better meal of fish (and I've eaten a LOT of fish!). The desserts and apples were also two thumbs up. The service was also first class - very friedly folks but also quick and helpful without being intrusive and bothersome. While there were a lot of tourists there, there were obviously many locals and regulars there, too, which is a great sign. If you are in Castletownbere and looking for delicious seafood in a friendly atmosphere with fantastic service then give Breens a go - you won't be disappointed!!
William C — Google review
This is where you want to eat in Castletown-bearhaven! My meal was easily the best calamari I've had. The Cajun spices were subtle and a perfect compliment to the unmistakably fresh tasting calamari. A side salad is rarely something to write home about (difficult to eat, uninspired) but this one deserve a mention. It was tasty, appropriately dressed and a great variety of leaves and fruit. And the bite of my partner's lemon sole that I got was tremendous too
Sam T — Google review
Lovely restaurant just off the Harbour. Had a lovely welcome and were sat in the main bar area. Fantastic food and service.
Gareth W — Google review
Went in to enquire if they have anything that is gluten and dairy free as my partner has intolerances to both. The server was incredibly rude as she handed me a menu and said “there you go now you can make up your own mind” and then turned to her colleague at the bar and muttered something under her breath. The menu didn’t have allergens listed, except for just saying GF on one or two dishes. Her attitude was so unwelcoming I just walked back out the door. It was disheartening as most other restaurants around were closed and myself, my partner and young baby had been walking around Castletownbere for an hour trying to find somewhere for dinner. The place was half empty so no excuse to not even check with the kitchen re allergens, it also doesn’t take much to be kind, or at least to not be so rude

Called in here for a bite of Breakfast the premises is okish only one member of staff that we encountered was nice this was a young girl with a very pleasant way about her. The breakfast when served was simply disgusting it flowed in grease the Sausages as were the Eggs, Bacon, Fried Tomato were half cooked Toast Was Burnt To A Crisp Tea Was Cold Atmosphere Was Cold. This must have been one of the worst breakfasts that we have ever had served to us. No enquiry to find out if we enjoyed the meal or if everything was ok no comment apart from the nice young girl that took our order. Hello to everyone reading my comment 😅. I was a bit skeptical before going to this place because of the recent reviews but my friend insisted on going here it was a great decision. I thought the place wouldn't be clean but surprisingly it was quite clean 🫧. The staff was super kind and nice. They asked us about the food quality. It was great. The place is doing great. I ordered a beef burger 🍔 it tasted really fresh my friends fish 🐠 was also very amazing. The food was served quickly. Idk 🤷🏻 why people are complaining, the place and food was awesome. Very disappointing. We walked in and there was one family of 3 leaving. The tables were left uncleared for ages, we cleaned our own table. We ordered fiah bits and chips, and seafood box. It was soggy chips, rubbery calamari. Dark brown burnt battered.Very small portion. The bathroom was horror. Unclean bins and floors. This place has potential, but the staff/owner cant be bothered to upkeep any standards.

Am absolutely disgusted with the food at this diner. I asked for breaded scampi but they didn’t cook it all the way through leaving mushy uncooked batter on the inside. When I told them about this, they took the box back to the kitchen and said they’ll “POP IT BACK IN THE FRYER”! HORRIBLY DISGUSTING SINCE I ALREADY TOUCHED THE FOOD. Then the worst part they brought back a CHARRED scampi and expected me to finish it. Everything about this place was horrible to top it all off I found MULTIPLE HAIRS in the salad. They serve such unsanitary food and ought to be shut down due to public health safety hazards! I WOULD GIVE -10,000 STARS IF I COULD!

The Bank House is a quaint little bar located on the island of Bantry. It's perfect for those looking for a place to pass the time while waiting for their ferry ride to Bantry or simply seeking some good seafood. The best seafood platter I've ever had was here and the atmosphere is quite magical as well.
We had the most amazing time! We were with a group of twelve and were treated to a spectacular day. Kathleen the proprietor was a delight. She showed many in our group how to pour a proper pint and fixed us the most lovely lunch. She was very kind and accommodating, this was definitely the highlight of our trip.

Great pub on Whiddy Island. Very friendly staff and a cracking pint of Guinness. Lovely views from the outside seating looking across Bantry Bay. Small hot food menu selection. Highly recommended - I'm already planning my next visit to Whiddy!

Great food, fantastic outdoor space, and excellent bar staff. If ye head to Whiddy island, it's a must visit!

Very nice place to start/finish your trip to Whiddy Island. Thanks to Tim and Kathleen we had a beautiful day there. Hope to be back soon!

Friendliness pub in Ireland with the best pint of Guinness. Always a pleasure to pop in to Tim and Kathleen.

A wonderful little bar on an island just offshore from Bantry. You have to take a ferry to get here and this enhances the feeling of being in a faraway place. An essential place to visit on any trip to Bantry Bay. A warm welcome in the snug and cosy interior. And a wonderful view sitting outside if the weather is welcoming too. Unmissable.

A huge thank you to Kathleen, Tim, Christine and Shirley for looking after us so well at a recent family event. I highly recommend this place for a family get together.

Highly recommend!! Lovely spot with warm and attentive service. The food was excellent. Korean shrimp Taco’s, Phanaeng Curry and Mongolian Beef were delicious. Great flavour and spices were perfect.

Excellent food and drinks! We had the Curry and the Poke Bowl and it was delicious! Verry fair prices and friendly service. The dessert (Vanilla Icecream, fried banana and coconut macron) was also very good. Definitely a place to visit.

Just back from a delicious dinner at Yum Yum! I got the Mongolian Beef which was really tender and flavoursome and my mum had the chicken curry which she really enjoyed. I had a glass of organic white wine and for dessert we shared the banana fritters. You can tell that the chef put a lot of effort into these dishes! All very enjoyable and will definitely be returning :)

Had a wonderful time here last night with a few friends. We ordered the whole menu and shared our plates, so got a taste of everything. Especially recommend the ramen and Panang curry. Both were packed with flavor. Prawn tacos were stellar and both deserts were beautifully plated and delicious to boot.

We had such a lovely meal. Didn’t know what to expect, but there was a lovely buzz of happy diners and the pretty fairy lights added to the atmosphere. The food was delicious and as we did the taster menu it just kept coming! So hard to choose a favourite dish but I think the prawn tacos won top spot and the accompaniment of a crisp organic bottle of Picpoul (recommended by the staff) was fab. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Top night thank you ☺️ .

Went out for a nice meal with the family, exactly what we got at Yum Yum. Korean Prawn Tacos & the Mongolian Beef are a must to try! Booking a table for when the friends are over.

We had an amazing experience at Yum Yum recently. The Asian Fusion menu was authentic and the Phanaeng chicken curry and Mongolian Beef were delicious. The service was exceptional, with the team checking in all the time to see if we were ok. We will definitely be back!

SuperValu Bantry - O'Keeffe's is a discount supermarket that specializes in its own brand of groceries and Irish products. Despite some evidence of the post-recessionary period, such as empty shop fronts, the town of Bantry is experiencing growth with many thriving new businesses, particularly cafes. The store itself is large and offers a relaxing environment for shoppers, with ample free parking available.
Deceptively large supermarket with good range of items, including non food. Handy if you've just come off the ferry and need to stock up ready for your travels. Prices reasonable. Large car park too.

They have Beamish! Great location, walkable. Tons of parking!

Great local supermarket with fab baked goods amongst a huge host of other products. Their freshly made cakes and soda bread are excellent. Would love to try everything!

Best supermarket in the area, especially for those visiting the area- it’s large with plenty of options. I was staying at an Airbnb in the area and stopped by at least 4x for different things (chocolate bars, bottled water, a comb, toothpaste, etc.) The only thing they didn’t carry was eyedrops (they recommended I visit a pharmacy for those) I strongly recommend at least one visit to the cafe! I was late in discovering the amazingly delicious blueberry scones so I only got to enjoy them twice before my vacation ended. Don’t make the same mistake- try those early in your trip!!

Possibly the best SuperValu in Ireland. The best we've been in and we've seen a lot. The presentation is fantastic in particular the cheeses

Takeout Restaurant
Eskimo Pizza Bantry is a hidden gem for food lovers, especially if you're in the mood for mouthwatering kebabs and pizza. Visitors rave about their doner and chicken kebabs, claiming they are among the best they've ever tasted. Even though it's not solely a pizza place, patrons still find it serves some of the finest pizzas in town. The convenience of delivery to nearby campsites makes it an excellent choice for those exploring the area.
I'm discarding all the other bad reviews this is the best spot in town most banging food around and I don't think it's very nice calling people out by there full name Karen monks and I think you should re think your decisions 😁

Very Poor Staff Attitude. SERVICE 0 ATMOSPHERE 0 ATTITUDE - MINUS 100% If You Make A Complaint About Them, Even Deservedly, They Hold A Grudge. Especially "Emily" Bantry, Co. Cork Delivery Staff. Obnoxious And Rude.. Poor Ambassador For Your Business. Was Never Going To Order There Again, Gave Another Chance, And Now Customer X 2 Lost. "It Takes Months To Gain Customers, And Seconds To Lose Them".. As A Business Manager And Staff Trainer Myself, It's Very POOR... That I Have Ever Experienced Anywhere In The World! I Have Had Nothing But A Negative Attitude From The Staff In Your Bantry Branch. WILL NEVER USE "THIS " PLACE.. AGAIN. Can't Even Call It A Business... It's So Poor Without Quality Staff..!!!!

the food has 75% chance to give you diarrhea. the workers are untidy and sweaty and the good is rancid. order Brick Oven instead!

Firstly, we bought 2 donners & chips. They taste very, very good. They lad who served us was quite sullen. I know it was late, but seriously, a small bit of friendliness goes a long way! It was very dingy inside, while we waited for our food. There was plenty of cleaning that needed to be done. Tables could certainly do with a good scrub or at least wipe the crumbs off the one next to us. I remember this place from the 80s, nothings really changed. Mention the greasy grill & everyone over 40 in Bantry knows it's this place! I wanted to give this place 1 or 2 stars, but to be fair, I couldn't, as its only redeeming factor is that the food here tasted good. We were all sober, as we had just left the hospital. So it wasn't a boozy trip in for a kebeb.
Jacqueline B — Google review
They used to not be like this, but they've gotten so so rude in there, I know there probably not happy with there job, but there's no need to be so rude...

Are the staff even Asian or they're pretending to be Indian or something fake atmosphere with rude staff they probably employ Americans
