L'Ecailler is a stylish restaurant located in La Flotte, offering a diverse selection of oysters, langoustines, fish, and wines. Situated overlooking the marina, this elegant establishment provides an ideal setting to savor delicate seafood dishes while enjoying the view of the bustling harbor. Housed in the oldest building in La Flotte's port, L'Ecailler is renowned for its cozy ambiance and exquisite seafood offerings.
Our friends have been coming to the Ile de Re for 25 years and said it was the best meal they have ever had on the island. We loved it; an excellent set course lunch with wine pairings chosen by Louis, the sommelier and propriétaire. The entire team were superb. Quelle gastronomie et une expérience merveilleuse du début à la fin! Merci beaucoup.
Mark L — Google review
During our week-long stay in La Flotte this June, we visited L’Ecailler twice under the new management—and each visit confirmed it’s a sparkling gem on the harbour. Our most recent lunch was a highlight of our trip: a “surprise” three-course menu that captured the essence of summer dining by the harbor. Every dish was prepared with remarkable precision, presented beautifully, and tasted exceptional—so good, in fact, that we made reservations for dinner immediately after the meal. We were lucky to be able to reserve the one remaining table. The value is outstanding, especially given the quality of the cuisine, which would be right at home in a Michelin-starred setting. The entire team is warm, professional, and attentive. General Manager Louis brings deep experience from Michelin-starred restaurants across France and the Netherlands, and his expertise shows in every detail. As a skilled sommelier, he offers thoughtful wine recommendations—well worth trying. This was the perfect way to celebrate our final lunch in La Flotte this year. As I write this, I can’t help but smile—no other restaurant on the island has left us counting down the hours to dinner quite like L’Ecailler. One small tip for fellow diners (and a gentle nudge to the team): the restaurant isn’t open every single day. If you stroll by on a Sunday night or Monday morning and wonder whether it’s closed forever, rest assured—everyone is simply taking a well-earned break. Maybe next season there’ll be a big sign in friendlier font reassuring us all: “Relax, we’ll be back on Tuesday!” Dinner Review Sorry folks… Google didn’t allow me to add the dinner review and related photos in a separate post so, lunch and dinner photos have been added sequentially here and hopefully they’ll be displayed in the proper order. We returned later that evening for dinner, and if it’s possible, it was even more impressive than lunch. Head chef Arthur with his team of eight, pulled out all the stops, creating a five-course tasting menu that was entirely different from our midday feast—and every dish was a hit. Nothing repeats here except the excellence. The atmosphere struck the perfect balance: lively enough to feel festive, but relaxed enough that you could actually hear the person across the table. The service was spot-on—attentive without hovering—and each course brought something memorable to the table, from delicate starters to perfectly cooked mains to desserts so good we briefly considered licking the plates. We’d visited this restaurant last year when it was under different management and sporting a much darker decor. I have to give credit where it’s due: the redesign is fab. If you’re browsing photos on Google Reviews, anything older than a couple of years shows a completely different vibe. The transformation is remarkable—lighter, more welcoming, classy, and exactly the kind of place you want to celebrate elegant dining with friends and family. And once again, Louis recommended a brilliant wine pairing that tied everything together beautifully. It was the perfect finale to our stay—a reminder that some places really do deserve every bit of praise they receive. If you’re in La Flotte and wondering where to book, don’t overthink it. Just go. Let this talented team show you how good dining out on the island can be.

We have been in La Flotte for the whole of June. This lunch was our third visit this month to L'Ecailler with the new management. We had the perfect lunch for a warm sunny summer day on the harbourside in La Flotte. This time we had the "surprise" 3 course lunch menu. Each dish was wonderfully tasty. All the food was prepared with great care. It was all delicious as well as being beautifully presented. We ate absolutely everything and sent not one mouthful back to the kitchen. It is fantastically good value for money. All the staff are lovely; friendly and very professional. This was the perfect way to celebrate our last day this year in La Flotte. We hope to spend June next year in La Flotte too. If we succeed we can't wait to come back to L'Ecailler. We wish this brilliant young team every success.
Michael H — Google review
Loved the new incarnation if the restaurant. Food was excellent and heading for Michelin recognition. A massively improved wine list as well. It would be great to access this online so one can study before arriving. Definitely the top address on the island.
Jamie H — Google review
We had a sensational experience at L’Ecailler, every aspect of it was brilliant. No apologies here for the length of this review so I will save you some time… do not hesitate, just go! It’s high end price wise, but It is worth every penny/cent! In fact I think it’s great value for what you get. And worth sacrificing some holiday budget for! Apparently it’s only been open 4 months… so go now before everyone hears about it! The location on the harbour front in La Flotte is picture perfect, could sit there all day and watch the world go by. Such a lovely place. The restaurant itself lives up to its box office location, and is just as stylish! We ate outside, which was lovely as you’d imagine, but did go inside to have a look around and the decor and design that has gone into the building is fabulous. They have a mini chef’s table too… one day we will be back for that. But suffice to say it’s a great looking venue all round! So many words and haven’t yet mentioned the food…. Oh boy… it’s good…. Seriously good. We had the 7 course tasting menu and I have to say it was one of the best meals we have ever had, for context I am no expert but have been fortunate (via work and our love of food) to eat in some amazing Michelin starred restaurants around the world and this food is more than up there! L’Enclume in the UK probably only just nudging it from number 1. The combinations of flavours were sublime… who knew you could make a tomato taste like that! Or what bone marrow sauce could do to a fish, or how red pepper can combine with a peach…. I could go on and on about every one of the dishes… but don’t want to spoil the surprise… trust me though they ALL tasted amazing and featured so many local seasonal ingredients - just like L’Enclume… They also looked incredible, again I did take some photos but won’t be sharing them here you MUST see them for yourself for the first time. I also had the wine pairings to go with the meal. One with each course! Exceptional! Such clever and unusual choices, some wines I had never even heard of and every single one was perfectly matched with the food. Often found in other places the wine pairings can be a bit underwhelming, but NOT Here! 100 percent recommend you choose this option, again worth the investment! Finally the service…. We were fantastically looked after from start to finish. Warm welcome, given choice of where to sit, the menu was explained perfectly and you just knew we were in for a great experience. And so it proved to be, every dish explained with depth, the attention to detail that the chef puts into the food was matched in how it was presented and explained to us. Even in English, our main water was French Canadian so that helped, he was fab, but all of the team were excellent. This also extended to the wine pairings, they all understood their product. And it wasn’t stuffy or anything like that, all really good fun and it sounds trite but you felt they had pride in what they were doing and serving. They are a young team here including the joint owners, all under 30, the level of sophisticated cooking and service would have suggested they’d been going for decades…. The Chef visited every table at the end of the meal, took time to ask about our experience and things they could learn. It’s a challenge to offer anything helpful…. Other than encouragement. Because at the end of the day there is absolutely no question this is a Michelin starred restaurant, just a question of time to be able to qualify and how many stars. And there is no question it is going to continue to be a huge success and booking in advance will be mandatory. We did… Honestly if it isn’t already it will be making the “top restaurant experiences in France lists…” and together with the beauty of La Flotte, it will become a destination restaurant. And what a destination it is! Joyous! Go….
James H — Google review
Best table on île de ré. We've been going for years and not once has it ever disappoint. Booking is mandatory, one week ahead at least, if you want to be sure to get a table.
Charles D — Google review
The whole team was warm and welcoming. The food was made with mostly local ingredients and of starquality. The chef actually came by the table after service. A kind young man who obiously takes great pride in his work, which makes dining here a real treat.
Bart A — Google review
We ate set menus at both Georges(4 courses) and L'Ecailler (5)and L'Ecailler wins hands down for both invention and value. A memorable meal, worthy of a Michelin star and I don't really understand why they haven't got one. Top, top, top!

La Croisette is a must-visit establishment, ranking among the top dining destinations on the Ile de Re. Guests can enjoy beautifully presented dishes in a picturesque setting with a sea view. One should not miss the opportunity to try their assiette terre et mer, a delectable seafood salad served on delicious toast topped with goats cheese and spiced pears. The restaurant also offers an impressive cafe gourmand for dessert.
Delicious food, super friendly staff and overall a relaxed atmosphere right by the waterside. A very special thanks to Kerlann who welcomed us with open arms - despite us just having made the cut off point - and made us have an absolute wonderful experience! Will be back for sure!

Just really awful food. The entrecote was nice, but the sauce was ugly. The moules felt like a diet sauce with no soul poured on top. Just skip it.

Restaurant
L'Endroit Du Goinfre is a laid-back restaurant that offers an array of meat dishes, along with a variety of apéritifs, wines, and liquors. It's a paradise for food enthusiasts who appreciate fresh ingredients and generous portions. The menu features delectable burgers, red and white meat-based dishes, as well as exquisite seafood recipes. The establishment prides itself on preparing comforting cuisine with love, using high-quality local products.
Food here is delicious, pricey but quallity! The service is attentive and he took the time to explain the cut we were ordering. Kids meals are 1/2 an adult burger but happy to let you order a normal main and share between kids as well. Good wine, we had Cote du Rhone. It was all very friendly and relaxed. The Cafe Gourmand was an amazing dessert!
Clair C — Google review
If you’re on Île de Ré and don’t eat at L’Endroit du Goinfre, you’re either tragically unlucky or have the taste buds of a soggy toast. Because what’s coming out of this kitchen is nothing short of divine. The dry-aged beef? A love letter in meat form. Perfectly seared on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth tender inside. The ingredient quality? Top-tier — the kind of flavor you feel in your soul. We were just a party of two, but still got offered one of the best tables in the house, sun-drenched and perfect. The waitress? Charming, witty, and on point. The chef? A true host with taste, heart, and personality. Their menu suggestions? Spot on. Each dish was a little masterpiece. We got a surprise amuse-bouche to start things off, and later, a complimentary drink — just because. Talk about hospitality that makes you grin. Bottom line: L’Endroit du Goinfre isn’t just a restaurant. It’s an experience. A celebration of food, feeling, and French flair. If we could move in, we would. We’ll be back — hungry and excited! 🍷🥩🇫🇷

We ordered a large steak to share with four people. It tasted great. The waiter was very enthusiastic. We were lucky enough to enjoy a wonderful experience. After riding for dozens of kilometers, there is nothing happier than this.
Judy M — Google review
A disappointing experience. Having agreed a reservation time of 21.00 the owner called and requested we arrive at 20.30. We said we’d do our best but might be a few minutes late - and we were, arriving at 20.45 but still before our original reservation time. On arrival we were immediately rushed and put under pressure by the waiting staff. There was only one menu for 10 of us so it was quite a stressful process getting our orders in quickly. The staff made it clear there was no time for starters. The food was OK, albeit the steak was rather overpriced and, in our opinion, underweight - we were charged for 2kg for five of us but no-one felt they had much meat. The staff were standing around with the coats on and chairs were on the tables when we asked for the bill at 22.15: we’d been overcharged €55 for a bottle of wine we hadn’t had, which didn’t feel like an accident. The bill was updated quickly but we were left in no doubt we weren’t welcome and we rushed to leave. We had hoped, and expected, much better hospitality for what wasn’t a cheap meal. Suffice to say we won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to others. There are much friendlier and welcoming places in La Flotte.
David L — Google review
How can you not love a meat-centric restaurant in a seaside town?! And one named The Glutton's Place?! Very nervy. And it delivers -- wonderful food, happy buzz, superb service (all 8 tables served by "the boss" -- irascible and absolutely delightful). Skip the seafood one night and go to L'Endroit du Goinfre.
Donna S — Google review
Fabulous meal - service attentive and engaged; food second to none and great terrace. We (wife, daughter (10), son (9) and I) had the best burrata with gazpacho and pork belly salad to start followed by kids’ burger (half a main course burger), kids’ chicken, lamb steak & cheeseburger. Wine was excellent (Languedoc) and local beers too. Definitely recommend!
Dave B — Google review
Food was generally good, albeit the sirloin steak wasn't as tender as I'd expect for a quality dry aged cut and it needed more salt. Value for money was reasonable. Good wine list. Service was fine. Top - book early to get a table outside as the location is great.
Will — Google review
We booked for lunch, a booking is needed and worth it. We sat outside under the umbrellas, which was perfect given the sunny weather at the time. The service was friendly and helpful. We had the formule du midi - the burrata and tomato salad was fragrant, fresh and yummy. The bread was crusty and warm. For mains we had chicken, tuna and burgers - all of it was delicious and well cooked. The burger beef patties were cooked exactly how we liked them, medium rare. The chicken was succulent and the marinade was so good. The tuna had a delicious sauce and vegetables to accompany it. The salad and home made chips were wonderful. We had a blonde beer, so can't comment on the wine menu but it looked extensive. Would recommend and will visit again next time we're in La Flotte.

Expecations were low, but they failed to reach that low bar. This may be the worst place I've paid to eat. Avoid at all costs. Foolishly, we had failed to reserve a table where we wanted to eat and ended up here after an 1h 15m wait. Ot is an extraordinarily busy spot and jam-packed. The volume of dinners is undeserved. There were no muscles left at 9.15 of a Tue evening, so both my wife and I both had savoury crepes. These are the specialities of the restaurant, I dis not finish mine, and she left over half of hers. Service is slow, but at least it's cheap, I've eaten here, so you never have to. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Service was absolutely terrible. And food did not impress. We arrived to an almost empty restaurant and where ignored for 10 minutes at front of house ,before someone finally came and told us we would need to book for an hour from now, wich is okay and we did. When we arrived later , we where again completely ignored. Pardons , excuse mois , all ignored. After 15 minutes we finally where seated. Then 15 minutes later we managed to call a waitress over to give us menus. After ordering food , a bottle of wine and water. only the wine arrived. Took another 15 minutes to get water delivered. I do not know how they manage the restaurant floor but staff look at you while you try get thier attention and pretend they did not see you. Or tell you" oh I thought someone already did" I assume because its a touristic area they do not care about service as tables will always be full. But it felt like everyone was under the impression we where someone else's section/problem. The muscles where decent. Good portion, but the supplement curry sauce was such a disappointment. DIiluted to a point that it is almost flavourless. And only poured in the centre so 1/4 of the muscles had any of the sauce. The friend we are staying with had a savory crepe and said that it was good. But she too was completely shocked by the service and attitude of the staff. It seems the row of restaurants by the port simply do not care to provide a good experience. They are there to make profit end of story.

This restaurant is the worst restaurant ive dined at in my life. From the service where they left us 1.5 hours after taking the order and then a waiter comes and asks “what are you waiting for here?” To when finally we got the food after 2 hours where the steak was un edible and the potato looked like it was boiled a month ago then put in the microwave. Ive attached the photo. After that they charged us in full. A great way to ruin your vacation, avoid at all costs

Lovely savoury crepe with a view over the mariner! Got the bacon, goats cheese and honey 🍯. Also the viennois coffee was superb ☕
Declan M — Google review
The food was nice, very nice woman gave us a seat even though we didn’t have a reservation, however the server we got was hasty and hardly took our Oder. We ordered a menu but weren’t asked for our preferences within the menu (entree, sauces, salad, fries etc) so we were served with standard mussels without sauce, and only fries. The lady was nice and the food was good and well prices. Just one bad server.

Great staff, initially wasn't to happy with the menu as I love seafood and my friends love pizzas. They used to do both, but what we did have was lovely so definitely will go there again. All the staff were fantastic thank you x

Great value! Mostly gallettes, pizza or mussels for savoury and crepes/ice cream for desert. Although they had a kid menu, they were happy to do something our toddler would eat. Really friendly, prompt service, and cheapest beer on the harbour. We kept coming back.

Guests can enjoy these delectable treats paired with a glass of wine while soaking in breathtaking views. Although it can get busy during peak lunch hours, the wait is well worth it for the excellent service and quality food.
Had lovely oysters with a great glass of wine. The oysters were varying in taste(some were quite a lot saltier than others), which wasn’t quite the experience with other oyster platters, but the taste was good nonetheless.

Nice fish restaurant close to the seaside, but definitely not for stars. Food is good, portions are ok, choice is good but service and place is very basic at least. Bottle freshener almost empty, no wine tasting, waiters overwhelmed, uncomfortable tables. Low cost toilets as cherry on the cake. Reviewers giving five stars should treat themselves better.

This place was AMAZING, the food was very delicious, the combination of flavors were something I have never experienced before every mouthful was a delight. The presentation of the food was world class and all the staff were friendly and full of smiles. We will be coming back here for sure the next time we are in the area.

This was our first choice for a restaurant in La Flotte and we were not dissapointed. Very good meal and good wine. The waiters were very friendly and observant -- my espresso was taken back before I said anything because it was not hot. Worth a visit

Found this restaurant via Google maps, reserved a table for 4 people based on the photos of the menu. Arrived 10mins before reservation, ordered drinks, looked at the menu which resembled nothing like the photos i'd seen I.e. grilled fish, entrecote etc. Showed the waitress the photos on Google maps and asked if we could look at this menu,,,,only to be told that the pictures referred to the 'old' owner....wait for it, that changed 2 years ago. Compared to restaurants along the same strip of promenade, la plancha was the emptiest, the others were heaving,,,,,speaks volumes

Le Nautic is a popular restaurant located in the port of La Flotte en Re, offering a delightful dining experience with its fresh and homemade dishes. The restaurant is highly recommended for those who enjoy fresh fish and seasonal ingredients. Visitors praise the attentive staff, delicious and varied menu, as well as the picturesque setting overlooking the harbor. Guests have enjoyed excellent meals such as sardine rillettes for starters and perfectly cooked tuna steak with risotto.
The location is perfect.. your sat overlooking the port and if you time it right you will watch the sun start to set and if you don’t.. it won’t matter as you will be tucking into some amazing food! We had the oysters and prawns to start followed by the tuna tartar and the steak. They do a great child’s menu of a chicken risotto and a desert. All were meals were exquisite and so was the service, the staff were amazing with the kids and were very polite and friendly. All washed down with a bottle of Château Nestuby rose I can’t fault this place.

Starters were cold prawns, and soup was creamy and lacked taste. Bland. Main course of fish was nice but again risotto too creamy. Overall dissatisfied with food, but service and ambience and location good.
Kirsty L — Google review
The food was uneatable! We ate the appetizer hoping that the main course was going to be better but … no way, we left the whole plate, paid, and left. We don’t understand how it is possible that this restaurant has a 4.6 rating. STAY AWAY!

We visited Le Nautic 3 years ago and found ourselves back on île de rè last week. We tried to get in on our 1st night but it was fully booked but we managed to book for the coming Saturday. All i can say is it didn't disappoint, fab table portside and great food, service and wine at a reasonable price for such a beautiful location. Thanks again all at le Nautic, see you next year hopefully.

Very disappointing. Good bread, v nice 500ml provence rose. Efficient service. Food uninspired but that might be the choice we made. Risotto more like English rice pudding, zero flavour and in desperate need of seasoning. Lobster bisque, colour was OK, flavour less and in need of seasoning. Monk fish dry and over cooked. scallops good but with salmon? Bacon oui, saumon non! Won't be back!

What a lovely place. Super staff, food amazing. The menu du soir is very reasonable. And the baba au rhum was my best ever - they brought out the bottle to serve my own rhum! Amazing!! My wife and I will definitely visit again before the end of our holiday.

What a terrible place. Arrived as a family of 5 with a 2year old and they immediately turned their noses up at us. Took 3 staff members to pass us along to eventually speak to what must have been the owner who looked us up and down and agreed to seat us. They told us they had no highchair when clearly they did as they then brought it out later. Staff blunt and rude throughout. Should have left at this point. Ordered 4 drinks and they arrived. My 2year son then started to play up before we had even had a drink and we told the staff member we would drink up and leave to save the other customers from listening to a crying baby. He refused to let us drink the drinks and said we had to eat as well. I understand the reasoning but we didn't have much choice as our child wasnt going to calm down. We ended up leaving the drinks and walking away. Awful exepreince and clearly they don't welcome families. Ruined our day and put us off la flotte entirely as it felt pretentious and unwelcoming. Shame.
Jay S — Google review
Very rude and unpolite staff, they kept us waiting for a table for 4 adults and 3 kids and after 15 mins of waiting, another staff member told us the place was full while he invited us to leave. They should treat their guests with respect and dignity

We had a really delicious meal in this lovely restaurant. My prawn starter was one of the best I’ve ever had and my husband’s octopus dish was stunning. The service was warm and professional and the view over the sea gorgeous. Would highly recommend.

The 'Prawns with mayonnaise' was fabulous. They serve bread for the table but don't give you any butter or oil to go with it, very strange. Service was excellent, I would go back.

Great food, nice staff who took the time to explain and reasonable pricing. The lobster sandwich was super lovely. We asked to be seated in the front so they put two tables together for us a family. We really liked the atmosphere and the view.

Sea view is very nice. Food was good, nothing extraordinary but price was raisonable. Had tarama has a starter, tagliata of beef and seabass with vegetables and caramel fondant to end. Tagliata of beef was probably the best dish, the balsamic dressing was very good. Seabass was quite simple/olive oil over fish. Caramel fondant was nice but would have hoped for bigger cake.. service was ok, a bit slow and not really attentive regarding water.

This chef and his crew do a great job of utilizing local ingredients to create beautiful dishes to test your palate. The wine list is extensive. The chef came out and went over the menu and checked on us regularly (he knew our knowledge of the French language was limited, and he spoke English well.) If you'd like a Michelon quality restaurant in a beautiful little town on an island in France. This is your place. Made reservations online. Highly recommend reservations.

this place is situated in the heart of la flotte one of the nicest villages on the island. it is less snobbish then the rest of the island and you can see real kids and real vacation attractions... the restaurant is only with 8 tables do you better book ahead. the menu is with a few options but since the chef is almost alone in the kitchen i can understand why. every dish is extremely complicated so many ingredients and tastes (i would take of of few) but it is so good! it definitely deserves a star or a fork ! the price if fair certainly for what it is. after a period on the island and in the area it is definitely the best french restaurant by far. don't hesitate book it today. they sell home made cornichons (pickels) buy one too!

the Risotto was delicious, which accompanied the Lotte, which was probably a couple of seconds from being perfect. the citrus fruit tarte was also very good, with a very thin and very short pastry, not to sweet... perfect.. happy, that i found that place, not much open at the moment... 😉no

Our meal was lovely, prepared and served in an intimate, charming dining room. We had appetizer with local mushrooms, breast of veal with flavorful seasonings and sauce, and cognac souffle -- all delicious. Our party of 5, enjoying a reunion, had a very special evening here. Nice wine selection. Merci beaucoup.

Surely the best value for money fine dining experience anywhere in my experience anyway. 3 courses at lunch is only 33 euros and this quality of food in London for example would cost I would say at least £100 a head. Just fantastic. I’m sure my uploaded picture doesn’t do the starter justice :-(

We were just visiting the island for the day from La Rochelle and this is where we had our lunch. Lovely setting looking out over the small harbour in the village. Most of the tables were undercover which was fine for us. Staff spoke good English and there was a nice varied menu. We chose the small meat and cheese platter to share as a starter and it proved to be a good choice. We followed this up with a plate of prawns for my wife and oysters for me. Left feeling very happy!

Disappointing . Very slow service after we ordered. Badly shucked oysters chipped with bits of shell in them . Main course of mussels arrived stone cold and inedible . Returned and another portion served with a grudging apology. Mediocre and wouldn’t have again . Fish tacos were good .

We had a fantastic lunch here! Between us, we enjoyed bacon cheeseburgers, a club sandwich, a chicken Caesar burger, and a Caesar salad — all of which were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and genuinely accommodating — nothing was too much trouble. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food and warm service. We'll definitely be back!

This place is a hidden gem! The service was excellent, the man who served us was clearly passionate about the food and gave thoughtful advice when we were choosing what to eat. So many burgers, so much choice, such good service! We visited this place only because we had to take our dog to the vet before returning to the UK so stopped in for a coffee and a bite. We called in for coffee and cake and returned on our last night of our holiday with the family in the evening for dinner. Honestly, the best burger I have ever had, anywhere! The owner was very welcoming, spoke very good English and was very patient with my limited French. Great coffee, fantastic food and a fantastic host!

We arrived late on in the evening and were accommodated with a very warm greeting. The young staff are so pleasant and informative. The choice of different burgers was outstanding. There's really something for every taste. The chef was brilliant and came out at the end of the service to engage with the clientelle. The atmosphere was lovely throughout the evening. Frankly, there's a lot of different restaurants on the island but we didn't experience better than Vintage Coffee in terms of the food, service, ambience and value for money. I can't recommend this place highly enough 🤟

When you are done eating your weight in raw oysters, poached langoustines and sea snails...dine at this lovely restaurant where the freshest seafood meets sophisticated, yet cosy French cuisine influenced by Asian flavours...e.g. a curry powder and cumin seed pastry near that holds a perfectly poached egg covered in smoked trout.... Small restaurant in the center of St-Martin’s harbor. Should be booked in advance. Waiter was insisting and pushing us to decide faster about our order. It was unusual. Main plate was not balanced: fish already cold and vegetables super hot after microwave I suppose. Food was heavy, even seafood. Crème brûlée was very good. With wine dinner for two cost approximately 140€

The oysters were actually the best I had in the port and the curried muscles were to die for! The portions size is huge, so I luckily got to try my wife’s blue cheese muscles and again these were lovely. The host and all staff were very nice! We had a local bottle of rose which was stunning! The children had chicken and chips with a strawberry drink… definitely worth visiting!

Came here for lunch with kids during the fall holiday season. They were friendly and patient. The menu selection was narrow but OK. The kids enjoyed their food, which came quickly. I took the 'onglet' steak, but it was not well done (like I asked) and it was surprisingly tough – I could only eat half of it. They might have forgotten to remove the film, a basic mistake in preparing a steak. Overall, an OK place, but nothing to write home about.
Ilkka H — Google review
If you are here you are already in the right place. Look at the rest of the reviews - the owners mock the comments but the negative reviews reflect our experience. Genuinely the worst food and service we've had in France. Ordered calamari as a starter, steak for main with a bacon burger for my wife. It all arrived at once. The calamari was straight out of the freezer - I realise most is but it was so over cooked it wasn't great. The chips accompanying both meals were also straight out of the freezer. My steak - we had some discussion around how I wanted it cooked - I was offered medium, I asked for a little bit pink, this checked with someone and confirmed. It was barely edible - please don't think I'm being overly picky here but as I'd changed how it was going to be cooked I didn't think I could complain. Not that anybody checked if the food was OK. The dogs chomped it down no problem. The burger was "ok". The only stand out moment was the server offered or dogs some water for which we are very grateful. Chose a bottle of wine for €29 - only to find it in the supermarket for €4.39. It's all about location and maximising profit at your expense. No water, no condiments no checking - just rubbish.
Andrew C — Google review
One year later, I have to update my review as the experience has significantly changed. May be because we went earlier (5pm) and therefore had a limited offer / staff but food was poor and service managed by teenagers. Fries were for sure overcooked (see pictures). Even the kids refused it which is rare. Hope this will change for next year. Location is still amazing though as facing the marina.

We stopped here for lunch after exploring the markets. The food was very good. The staff although very busy were really helpful and friendly. The setting is lovely. I would definitely recommend.
Demelza B — Google review
Avoid at all costs, the staff spend more time saying hello to their friends passing by than taking care of any of the customers who pay their wages. They thinks it's funny laughing and joking with each other when everything around them is dreadful. The food we had this evening was dreadful, the steak wasn't rested and blood covering the rest of the over cooked chips, the chicken burger my wife had was a disaster .. the chicken was grey !!! 😳 and so was my wife's face after uncovering it. I'm pretty sure the chef is just one of their many friends who has no idea on how to cook and was just passing by. The toilets had no soap or toilet roll (in either of the 2) and were filthy. If I was the owner of this place I'd sack the entire work force and start over. Too much interaction with fellow restaurant workers next door and passersby and nowhere near enough attention given to the "Customers" who they've conned into coming into their establishment. You don't have to be Gordon Ramsey to see poor quality service and food, yours is a perfect example of this hence the review, I do review lots of Resturants all over Europe hence my 3million reviews, I tell individuals how it is.. If I was looking at going to that area for food I always looks at the reviews and base my design to eat there on this, hence my review of your establishment. As a business owner I would take it on the chin and take note of my comments if you want your business to improve and actually put the focus back on no.1 the customer no.2 the food 😉

Great seafood, super fast kitchen. Assortment seafood basket (picture) and mussels were great. Kids enjoyed fish and chips and chicken and chips. Can feel a bit cramped when busy. Some of the waiters were a little surly, maybe because we only spoke English and our French is poor.

Located in the Barbette park, this former fishing boat turned eatery provides a relaxed atmosphere away from the bustling port. Visitors can enjoy grilled sardines, mussels, and other mixed seafood dishes while basking in the unpretentious and lovely ambiance with attentive staff.
We wanted a good seafood,so we opted this restaurant after reading great reviews and happy we came here! The servants are all humble and all the food served taste excellent ! We ordered mixed dishes like fresh oysters, grilled sardine, crevettes sauté pimentée,chipiron, saumon and moules marinées. We even ordered 2nd round of crevettes and calamar👌 The price is very reasonable for the portion we took of course compared to Paris region which is $$$$$ for same food. Will definitely recommen this spot to all our friends😍

Seafood Tapas Bar Excellent 👌🏽 recently discovered this seafood tapas bar and I have to say – it was an absolutely excellent experience! The food is incredibly tasty ! Another big plus: the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. It’s the kind of place where you can indulge without breaking the bank. The atmosphere is friendly! I highly recommend this place to any seafood or tapas lover – a true hidden gem worth discovering and enjoying to the fullest!

A classic simple spot in Saint Martin! If you are looking for good vibes , good food and some good time this is a great place. The waiters and service is very friendly, the food is fresh and sometimes they have live music by night which definitely is a plus. Nights get windy so don’t forget to grab a sweater so you can stay warm remember is an open terrace restaurant so it can get a bit chilly.

Loved this spot! It’s a food boat (not a food truck). We went in the peak of high season and had so much fun. The place is casual and lively. We had oysters (of course) and a few other nibbles, with a lovely local rosé. There was cheesy yet super fun live music, which just added to liveliness and overall chill vibe. We tell all our friends to enjoy a true local experience here.

La Coccinelle is a charming restaurant located just south across the river from the old town center. The cozy atmosphere, delicious dishes made with local produce, and friendly staff create a welcoming and homey feel. The restaurant offers a variety of vegan and vegetarian options and prides itself on its leisurely and friendly service. Additionally, it has an old-fashioned ambiance that adds to its unique charm.
We had an anniversary diner here and we were delighted with the cosy atmosphere, the fine dishes and the super friendly and professional staff. It feels a bit like home, because the people who run the resto do it with love and with a passion for local produce, partly from their own garden some miles away. It was one of the only places with a high rating that had a table available that evening. Our luck!

I ate here on at least 5 or 6 different occasions and my most recent experience will become my last time to eat here. Understaffed and manager completely rude to several customers. We were three people and two of the orders were for mussels. They both were served practically cold. Never again!

Horrible service, wouldn't serve us food because it was too late and let the next customers in after us order. Didn't take our order for approximately 30 mins and then did so begrudgingly after I tried to get the waiter's attention multiple times. Waiter's have a terrible attitude, food is mediocre at best. Would highly recommend going to the restaurant next door.

Potato chips drenched in fat. Pasta with no taste. Not good. Waitress was very friendly however. Only reason for 2 stars instead of one.

Despite some comments about service, patrons are generally satisfied with the charcuterie board and the picturesque view. The lillet tonic was great but the service was terrible. We where with our friend who lives in the region and when she greeted and tried to order , the server turned her back on us and started a 2 minute conversation with her coworkers. While ignoring us. The cheese and jam where also good. Props to the chef who was super friendly when I went to collect it. But its hard to enjoy after such sour service.

The menu features creative dishes and a variety of drinks to cater to all tastes, providing an unforgettable culinary experience in La Flotte-en-Re. The restaurant boasts a nice selection of drinks including cocktails, wine, beers, and ciders.
Love burgers? Come sit down and enjoy... 🤤 We all had the Special Blue Cheese Burger - but it doesn't matter which one you get. The meat is incredible quality, incredibly juicy, flavourful, perfectly cooked - and the bun was soft in the middle and perfectly crunchy on the edges. It stayed crispy on the edges and never fell apart all the way to the end 🫠 Served with perfect roasted potatoes! And our server Lauren was just a great little ray of light! We loved every moment. 😍 The only complaint is that it had to end 🥲

Great little restaurant just off of the harbor. Small simple menu with a few choices for appetizers, main dishes and desserts. Cocktails are great! The hamburgers are fantastic 😍 kids menu is fine and does the job. They liked it, so what more to say. It can get busy and the staff do their best but it can take a little while longer you may be accustomed to. The garden out back is a wonderful place to spend a Kate afternoon with apéro and melt into dinner with friends ❤️

Lovely little place down a side street off the beaten track. A lot of places in Flotte are child tolerant, this place is actually child friendly. There are a few toys, some low chairs etc. There is a gorgeous little garden out the back which had both shade and sun and great place if it's quite windy elsewhere. We had lunch and dinner on different occasions and enjoyed both. Not the most extensive of menus but also very reasonably priced.

Great little restaurant tucked away just back from the busy harbour. Don’t be fooled by the look from the front. They have plenty of outdoor space in the ‘secret garden’. A small menu, which we like! By the way, thank you for the little story about the island potato. I'm going to bring some back for the whole family. There were 5 of us and the children / young adults loved what they ate. Special mention for the preparation of the beef tartare. A gem (and for the French toast pudding with salted butter caramel too). Thanks again, we will remember our visit to your place. Surprisingly great experience especially considering the other reviews. We were welcomed right after service has officially ended and they still took our order. Food was average. We had the platter Francaise. Calamari was way overcooked, as was the octopus. I found a huge caterpillar in the salad, and when I told the waiter, he was not at all interested. He just stated that it had been washed. At 27€ a head that is not cheap. Also a lot of wasps. People near us got stung. We will not be going back.

To avoid - rude and unfriendly staff We wanted to have a drink before dinner. The waiter said that we have to eat before. I explain to him that we want to start with an "aperitif" and then to have dinner. He said no again. He was really rude and and refused to understand or was not able to understand us ( I am French and it was not a language issue). Place is now called George-s. Do not go there! They will rip you off with heavily overpriced drinks (28 euros for a glass of champagne), and let you wait for your aperetif for half an hour. In this price range, a Michelin star is common, as well as a plate containing more than just a few lamb chops. No amuse, no friandises with your coffee, very, very scanty, definitely not worth the euro 200+ price tag for a 2-person dinner without dessert.

(Translated by Google) We came as a family at snack time based on the comments but were disappointed, despite a very pleasant place (but deserted, we were the only customers during school holidays in the lounge) and attentive service. No cake/tea time menu... only drinks. There were 5 of us and we ordered 2 juices and 3 hot chocolates (9€ per hot chocolate all the same), and received (admittedly this was free) 2 mini cannelés and 2 very thin slices of lemon cake... do the math, there isn't even one solid per person. The chocolate was unanimously too light in chocolate, and too much milk foam. The staff told us that a cake menu was being considered... but for the moment it is a drinks only place, at snack time. Thanks all the same to the efficient and very pleasant staff despite a real disappointment with the menu! Hence the 3*/5.

Eaten here several times, each time a 'joy. Good quality of food, well cooked and served with a smile and good humour. Used to be open a little later than others but now kitchen shuts promptly. Hygiene rules exceptionally observed by the staff. Only downside like 99% of restaurants these days, poor quality bread. However as a organic, natural levain only baker, I have strong opinions. Fantastic bread would lift it to heaven. Too far for me to supply otherwise would have offered but opportunity for one of my confrères... However as the bread in nearly all other restaurants in la Rochelle is no different don't let that put you off.

Il Gabbiano is an Italian restaurant located in La Flotte, offering a pleasant dining experience with fresh homemade pasta and friendly service. The restaurant is known for its authentic Italian cuisine, including delicious pasta dishes and pizzas available for takeout. While the food receives high praise for being fresh and tasty, some guests note that during peak seasons, there might be a wait time due to the restaurant's popularity. Additionally, when the restaurant is full, it can get noisy inside.
We had an excellent evening. Great food — had the days special “poulpo a La calabrese” and she had pasta with house made pesto and then the chef stopped by to drizzle extra virgin olive oil on our dishes and chatted and then offered to make an off menu traditional Italian dessert for my wife. It was a show stopper! Magnificent! Staff were friendly, service was good, chef was wonderful.

Best pizza I have had in France and I have liver here 5 years, I don’t know who has been trolling with bad reviews but the service is great and this has a family run vibe. The pizza is with real Italian ingredients and cooked in a wood fire oven, a must visit in Ike de re

Cheap and easy for a quick pizza. The pizzas are fresh, hot and tasty but the service is average and the drinks are poor quality. There are limited options in La Flotte for pizza restaurants so they have a bit of a monopoly but the pizzas are good. The pasta is ok - we had the cannelloni, nothing to rave about but ok. We had to send out drinks back as the prosecco was flat. Would recommend for a takeaway pizza but not to eat in.

Pizzeria Pinocchio is a fantastic and clean restaurant with a bright and airy atmosphere. Despite the presence of lorries in the carpark, it's actually a good sign according to locals. The restaurant offers indoor seating as well as options to dine on the terrace under shady trees or in the sun. The menu features simple yet delicious food, including a special of the day, all at an affordable price. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the menu is available in English if needed.

Fantastic place, very clean bright and airy. When you drive past you think it's a truck stop as there are lorries in the carpark, this is a mistake as the french say lorries in the carpark is a good sign!! You have the choice of sitting inside, on the terrace outside under the shady trees or further outside in the sun. The food is simple but very nice and there is a special of the day. Expect to pay less than €20 per head for a superb meal with wine/beer and a coffee. Toilets were clean, as was the rest of the premises, disabled access was easy with a gentle ramp into the cafe and the toilets. Carparking is extensive, to allow for lorries or cars, but is a little rough not smooth tarmac.

Food is average, location is great. After we ordered we noticed tables around us had uneaten pizza leftover. My family and I felt the pizza didn’t have taste (guessing the ingredients are not as good). Manage your expectations if you are keen to have pizza. Wonderful laid back seafood restaurant, fabulous views of the oceans and high quality and tasty seafood options. We ordered two kinds of oysters plus marinated oysters and pan fried clams that were served in the most incredible cream, lemon, white wine sauce. Service was very efficient and friendly, our fabulous waiter spoke excellent English. Meals came out quickly. Menu was in French and google translate app did a good job of giving us the English version. Parking onsite. Would definitely visit again and have the marinated oysters, delicious clams and and try other items on the menu. Make sure you visit the little boutique on the way out to buy some of the delicious mayonnaise.

Very polite waiter and waitress allowed us to have a table inside with no reservation - and with two dogs. They provide me the dogs with a water bowl which was a nice touch. The food was so-so, but overall a real disappointment. The pizza was okay, and the burger was one of the tastiest I’ve ever had, but the salad, chips and mixed starter was a real disappointment. How can anyone cook chips so bad? They were lukewarm, floppy and tasteless. Must have had a double-cooked batch left to sit whilst other dishes were warmed up. The parsley squid was hot and tasty The amber beer was good. No music or atmosphere indoors and the interior decor and furniture is a real mish-mash. Seems like an okay place for a steak and pizza, but that’s it. €90 for three people. I would not go back, but recommend it to others if you want some easy food with no reservation.

We have come to the Richelieu for over 25 years and always had enjoyed our stays. The past 5 years had not been the best but the staff in the hotel and the thalasso were wonderful and went out of their ways to make our visits enjoyable. We learn that the hotel was under new management and we had to go back as we love Ré and the location of this hotel is exceptional. We had a wonderful experience : the new staff was great and professional, i had asked for a room we stayed in the past and they kindly accommodated us and it had been re-decorated tastefully. The SPA has been completely re-vamped. We had a lovely time. We would appreciate to have a wider choice in the menu at the restaurant. We will be back soon.

We stayed for a week after our wedding near Bordeaux, from 1st - 5th Sept 2025. Naturally we were extremely excited for a chilled time after all the carnage of the wedding. Don’t get me wrong the hotel was lovely (although rooms slightly dated) and the staff were absolutely lovely & kind. The location was great, nice and close to a lovely beach and La Flotte that has many restaurants & cafes. In addition, we had a dog with us and they were excellent with him and no issues taking him around the hotel, including the lovely pool. However, the rooms were understood to have air conditioning and sadly it was broken. In addition, the fridge in our room was omitting a lot of heat and so all this combined really ruined the room and our sleep. We had a fan in the room but fans aren’t great and very noisy. Also, the only plug sockets that worked when the lights were turned off were by our head, requiring the fan to be within inches of my head. For some reason no other sockets worked when the lights were off… We weren’t offered a different room, which was a shame. One of the days we headed out to explore and got back to our room around 15:30 and it had not been cleaned. It was slightly frustrating as when back we wanted to relax in our room without being disturbed. Finally, a little pernickety but we had room service one evening and as normal left the plates outside the room once finished. These weren’t cleared from outside our room until gone 11:00am the following morning. For a 5 star hotel I’d expect a little better. It is a lovely spot and everyone was lovely but I’m not sure it’s 5 star room or service.

The spa and pool areas are superb - clean, modern and to a high standard. The room was perfect and very tastefully decorated to modern standards but with a classic feel. I wouldn't hesitate to return. Overall an excellent experience.

Stayed at this hotel for my birthday at great expense as it was New Years Eve. We are regular visitors to the island but have never stayed here before. I was disappointed! The room was lovely but it was the Prestige Garden room with view of a garden, no garden view just a tree and a hedge and another building opposite. The terrace was nice. It was also detached from the main building which is not clear on web site. Having to go outside to get to the main building was not good as it rained a little and we were dressed up. Also no lighting on the way back. The bar did not open until 7. Which we wanted to take advantage of before we had dinner in the restaurant. There were no non alcoholic beverages for my husband to drink, just ginger beer. This is common in France and my husband gets really frustrated with this lack of choice for non- drinkers. How hard can it be? There was a live band playing that evening but where we placed in the restaurant, we could not hear the music. Not until we asked to be moved to another area in the main body of the restaurant to have our coffee could we start to enjoy the ambiance, this was about 11ish, by then the mood of the evening had gone. We had paid the same amount as everyone else ( which was considerable) but did not get the same experience. Not a great memory for my birthday celebrations!

HR Hôtel & Spa Marin - Disappointing Stay Despite Pleasant Staff We recently spent three nights at the HR Hôtel & Spa Marin and, unfortunately, left feeling rather disappointed. While the hotel boasts a fantastic seaside location, which naturally brings a certain level of humidity, the pervasive musty odor in our room (room number six) was a significant issue. It smelled distinctly of old furniture or damp clothing, creating an unpleasant environment. Despite raising this concern with the hotel management, the problem remained unresolved throughout our stay. To our dismay, even after arriving in Paris, our clothes still retained the damp and musty smell from the room. On a positive note, the hotel staff were consistently friendly and helpful. However, the fundamental quality of a hotel experience hinges on the comfort and sleep quality of its rooms, and in this regard, the HR Hôtel & Spa Marin fell short of our expectations. While we certainly plan to return to the beautiful island in the future, we will undoubtedly be seeking alternative accommodation for our next visit.

The garden of our room was filthy. It was not prepared for guests since summer 2023. The walls were disgusting with algae, weeds on the ground, chairs/sunbeds stained, patio full of spiders/dirt. When I showed photos to reception, the girl said "its complex". It is a pity about the garden as the rest of our stay was lovely. The cost to stay in your hotel is too expensive & breakfast is priced way too high!

Le Corner du Môle is a fantastic restaurant situated in an excellent location. The staff are polite and attentive, and the homemade pastries offered by the waitress are truly delicious. The only drawback is that some dishes, such as the melon pie or cheesecake, may be slightly overpriced.
I came here for lunch with my wife on 2nd September 2024. What attracted me straightaway was the unique menu offering dishes not always available in French resorts. I was attracted initially by a pulled-pork dish, but the very pleasant waiter suggested the spare ribs as a possible alternative. I've no idea why he made the suggestion, but I can honestly say they were the nicest I've ever tried. They were served with tiny potatoes, boiled initially, and then finished on the pan. The accompanying salad had a lovely nutty (sesame?) dressing. My wife's lunch was equally tasty. All washed down with a reasonably priced pichet of rosé and a generous glass of red. The setting was one of sea views. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Well done to all staff 👏

Located on one of the central boulevards with nice sea views, just around the corner from the busier historic harbour area. Cosy patio with simple outside dining area and cosy drinks (outside) area, each with plenty of shade from umbrellas and trees. Food menu is original and tasty (with generous portions). They have kid chairs and kids menu (which is great!) however do not seem to fond of guests with kids. Service during peak hours can be a bit slow.

Seemed disinterested when we said we only wanted drinks not food. Asked us to stop our baby playing with the paper menu. We moved to the covered area when it started to rain, asked us again if we planned to eat as he needed to seat people. I said no, that we would leave, and he sat the people elsewhere anyway. No music, unfriendly vibe (apart from the chef who seemed lovely).

L'Effet Mer is a restaurant that leaves no room for complaints. The service is impeccable, with a staff that is incredibly pleasant and welcoming. The dishes are of high quality and expertly cooked, making them perfect for those seeking refined cuisine. Both the food and accompanying drinks are of exceptional quality. Not only does the restaurant offer great food, but it also provides a lovely view of the port of La Flotte.
Had a great dinner here on a busy August evening. The food was very good and the fish of the day (not catch of the day!) was salmon tartare and was excellent. The stand out factor though was the friendly and helpful staff - having been turned away from a number of other harbour front restaurants the staff here took the trouble to find us a table while we waited and made us feel very welcome so thank you!

Family Holiday. We had a lovely family holiday on Ille de Re, we will most certainly be back, we particularly like La Flotte and St Martin de Re, so great to have them so close. The downside to the location of the site is the very busy road. The staff were helpful, the facilities were good including the swimming pool which is ideal being half covered as the weather was a little unpredictable during our stay. The mobile home was on a nice pitch that got it's share of sun and shade all day long and the mobile home was a good size. The only criticism I would have is that the bed was queen size, un-necessary in a room of that size and we were not advised of this so I brought double fitted bed sheets with me which of course wouldn't fit - the mattress protector provided was also too small being double size too. I personally would prefer to have a duvet provided as most people use duvet covers now and I am not keen on the idea of blankets that are probably used without cover by other guests. We put the blanket inside a duvet but his wasn't very successful. In addition, the kitchen could be better equipped. There were no lids to the saucepans, very few cooking utensils eg. slotted spoon, kitchen scissors etc. This may be an English thing but a toaster would be nice as there was no grill. With the lack of a grill or oven it would also be a good idea to provide a combination oven/grill/ microwave instead of the simple microwave provided. Bike Hire on site was good value, the bread ordering service is great, I cannot comment on the restaurant because we didn't use it and the entertainment on site was not particularly our cup of tea but everyone seemed to enjoy it and it was nice to see people coming together. Thank you for a lovely holiday

(Translated by Google) After two weeks of vacation, it's time to put away the flippers and pack your bags. We had a wonderful family stay: the campsite is quiet—not dead quiet, but relaxing, ideal for recharging your batteries. The staff is welcoming, the accommodation meets our expectations, and all at an affordable price—which deserves to be emphasized, especially on the Île de Ré. Thank you for this wonderful time! A quick aside: this is the only campsite we've seen that meets current fire safety standards. A discreet detail, but one that speaks volumes about the owner's professionalism.

Nestled on the picturesque Île de Ré, HR Beach Brasserie is a delightful find that beautifully marries elegance with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The establishment boasts stunning sea views and has undergone a successful renovation, creating an appealing setting for diners. Guests can expect attentive service that strikes the right balance between being helpful and unobtrusive. The menu highlights fresh, local ingredients presented in a chic yet simple manner, making it perfect for both casual lunches with friends and intimate dinners.
The food here was exceptional - the chef, Hamid, took great care of us. His presentation was beautiful and the flavour was as equally delicious. The service was friendly and really felt like a 5* experience! Prices were reasonable too!

(Translated by Google) We discovered this establishment on a Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. There were 6 of us who wanted to have a drink and enjoy a small aperitif platter. We arrived delighted by the sea view and the very peaceful and well-appointed terrace. Unfortunately, the experience was somewhat spoiled by a wait time of over 20 minutes to place an order. And another 20 minutes of waiting to be served. I should point out that the terrace has a capacity of approximately 60 seats and that there were approximately 10 of us. We had to remind the server twice. The cocktails are of excellent quality, as is the Océane aperitif platter. Unfortunately, a 40-minute wait for drinks is not acceptable in an establishment of this standing. Service needs to be improved.

(Translated by Google) What a disappointment! The place is magnificent, the terrace with sea view very pleasant, the fact that the restaurant is empty at 1 p.m. on a Saturday lunchtime should have given us a warning. Don't be fooled by the menu which suggests that it is a bistro cuisine... a presentation of coarse plates, an inedible starter, "dry" bread and all this for 47 euros. Fortunately the desserts are beautiful and good and the service appreciable but the quality of the cuisine really needs to be reviewed. This will be the last time for us.

(Translated by Google) Very disappointed. Starting with the cocktails, one with alcohol, the other without. Both were three-quarters ice. The mint was black. I was told this was normal, was it due to the humidity? As for the taste, the non-alcoholic one had none, and the other barely perceptible. I'd like to think I'm exaggerating, but unfortunately not. Regarding the dishes, the chicken with crayfish consisted of a chicken drumstick and three dry, hollow crayfish. Fortunately, the generosity extended to the four potatoes and the sauce. The glass of wine I ordered arrived for dessert. It was for my birthday, too bad... J’aimerai penser que j’exagère mais malheureusement non. Concernant les plats, le poulet aux écrevisses était Constitué d’un pilon de poulet et de 3 écrevisses sèches et creuses. (Translated by Google) The setting is superb, the renovation a great success. The meal was as expected, very good cuisine. However, we feel the lack of staff which is the current recurring problem. Service a little slow, but done with a smile. Sometimes there are some shortages, like the finger wipes when eating seafood or the tongs for lobster, which are not offered until you ask for them. But let's not quibble, the place is very pleasant and efficient in relation to demand.

Nice little restaurant just off the port, aesthetic was excellent inside. Service was not so good, slow and brought wrong dish. Never got what was ordered, was just given and charged what they brought (including what was ordered along with it, had to get removed from bill afterwards). This is also not for meals, it is for tapas/appetizers and drinks. The food does taste good and is prepared well, touch on the pricey side compared to other restaurants close by. Good wine selection at reasonable price.
