Very cosy pub to spend a Saturday/Sunday lunchtime hour. Had a lovely lunch time meal there which we enjoyed. The mains we had were absolutely delicious and clearly a winner. The fish and chips and the steak especially were really good! The kitchen though was let down by the starters…the three we tried were quite disappointing. Tiny portions, cheap fried food, and generally felt very sub par so I would encourage the establishment to look into their starters menu. Overall vibe and ambience of the place was alright. Very lukewarm, the tables are quite cramped, there was no music playing in the background so could get very loud when families with very excitable children were making a mess of the place.

I've called in before when staying in the area and on.that occasion I gave 1 star. Now, any person revisting a pub/restaurant would hope thay they have learnt from previous poor reviews. Clearly not. The chicken burger was dreadful. It's probably the poorest example I've ever had. The bun was dry, not even toasted. The amount of chilli jam was almost non-existent. The chicken burger was burnt and uneditable. The chips were lukewarm. I'll stop there as the service was no better. In the end, I had to ask for a refund as I've never had such poor quality of food. We took our family here recently at the weekend and had a really great lunch. The boys enjoyed their food from the kids menu. Our fish and chips was totally delicious (one of the best in a long time) and very generous size portions. But on top of this Georgina who was serving our food was an absolute gem. She couldn't have gone more out of her way to help us. She was friendly and assisted in any requests. She gave the boys colouring sheets and crayons. And helped to warm some baby food for my 7 month old. Good service and good food made for a fantastic lunch hence the good review. Thanks!

Outstanding evening, top notch service from the friendly welcome from James to the wonderful niaomi taking our order and serving our drinks. Sorry to the very bubbly young lady bringing our food out she was lovely sorry I didn’t catch her name. The drinks nice and crisp refreshing, the food was the highlight for me, I had the new salmon fillet it was outstanding fell apart full of flavour and looked so damn good on the plate! My wife had the katsu chicken curry which she also enjoyed very much also a very pretty dish the presentation was very high quality. Thank you to the full team at the colney fox for making this a great experience for us will definitely be back again

A nice pub in a lovely location, I have been here numerous times over the years. The food is decent, as expected for a pub. Quite expensive for what you get and the portion sizes are notably smaller. Service is good and the staff are very friendly but there seems to be too few staff. The food took a while to arrive even when the pub wasn’t very busy. A nice pub to visit with a decent garden, parking and lovely local walks.

Absolutely atrocious experience I'm afraid. The table we'd booked in advance was not available. Only place to wait with older and younger people was in front of a blaring tv showing football. Eventually we got seated 20 minutes late. The table we got was dark. Seriously hard to see anything. And dirty. There were brown food smears on the table. The windows were filthy. Eventually ordered and it took over an hour for our food to arrive. There was 15 mins between the first and last items arriving. So much of it was lukewarm at best. We ordered coffee and dessert [foolishly, but older and younger people are going to make rash decisions]. The coffees came promptly. The desserts 20 minutes later. So all the coffees were long finished. Food quality was below average even if it was not absurdly late. Full lunch experience was over 3 hours. Closer to 3 and a half. I have no confidence in this place to deliver acceptable food in a useful time frame.

Went there with family for Fathers' Day lunch. Not impressed. Terrible service! Even after we were sitted, we had to get the attention of a staff before we could get our drinks order taken. The tables and chairs outside didn't look clean. Most had bird poo on the seat and backrest. We were not given napkins, and they kept supplying the cutlery late... after the starter and the main. Something we ordered was missing from our order and yet it was added to the bill. We ordered another pint of beer and soft drink that never came. Long waiting time between meals, and for our tables to be cleared. Not a great atmosphere. The food looked good, but nothing special. A little tasteless, to be honest. Will not be going back, and cannot recommend.

A fine dining restaurant in a lovely old building with beautiful views overlooking a lake. Food quality and presentation is excellent; probably the best in the area. Service now is friendly but a lot more relaxed than it was many years ago. Despite the lovely views, the decor in the restaurant feels really outdated. And the choice of 80s pop background music is quite bizarre. The lounge area, however, is much more stylish and great for a pre-dinner drink. Drinks outside on a warm summer evening are also a pleasurable experience.

AMAZING! The food was superb, the view from the restaurant is stunning and the price is very reasonable. It's perfect for a special occasion! We will definitely be back many times!

Excellent meal last night. Food was very very good. Staff were attentive and looked after my wife who had a dairy allergy very well. Really nice atmosphere in the restaurant with some music in the background which I enjoyed as I don’t particularly like restaurants where I feel I can hear other peoples conversations. Only small downside is they were low on beer which considering it was 7pm on Saturday was a little strange. Highly recommend and will be back.

I visited Auberge du Lac this afternoon for a friends birthday and it was perfect! The grounds are beautiful, the food is delicious with impeccable presentation, and the service was well beyond 5*. The whole afternoon felt like a holiday! Bilal is such a kind and amazing person and made our visit extra special. Thank you so much!

Really enjoyed our meal there, and had a little walk around the grounds afterwards. We couldn't find fault with any of the dishes, and the complimentary dishes were also very good. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, just a really pleasant experience altogether.

We had a truly unforgettable experience, from start to finish we were greeted and served by incredibly attentive and friendly staff. The food was first class quality and we loved the added touches/compliments. As a vegetarian I was really pleased with how much flavour each meal packed and the range of options. My non-vegetarian partner was blown away by the freshness of ingredients and flavour of his meal too. The location feels incredibly special and the views of the grounds are just so relaxing. We will definitely be back to share this wonderful experience with friends and family.

If you want to have your Bridgerton moment, this is the place to go. Located in the old hunting lodge in Lord Brockett estate, Auberge du Lac is perfect for a special meal. We had the tasting menu and the food was well executed, good portion size. The staff were attentive. Highly recommend and would go again to try a la carte menu as I saw someone with a souffle for dessert!

Haven’t been here before and I was surprised how large the pub is. I ordered a burger and it was okay, a little better than Wetherspoons. The menu is similar to Wetherspoons also. It’s simple and easy.

I was here last Sunday for the first time in quite a few years and first time ever having Sunday lunch at the Red Lion. The meal, a roast was great and a huge portion too! The place is now more a restaurant-pub. It looks quite nice inside and is quite spacious. I won't wait so long for my next visit.

Wow, what a great find! It will be a favourite from now on, especially as summer draws on and we can enjoy the garden. We had Sunday roast and can recommend the rotisserie chicken and the beef brisket options. Large portions, quick polite service, beautiful surroundings. What's not to like. Well done Red Lion team!!

This is a brilliant pub!!! Service is top notch and everyone is so friendly. The food? 10/10 especially the Sunday roast! Very reasonably priced and tasted amazing. Great portion sizes and you get the option to order a smaller or larger plate depending on how much you can eat! They also have 99ps with a flake!! Great seating availability & very clean. Dog friendly and parking! 100% recommend and definitely coming back

Food was okay but expensive and small portion sizes. Able to cater for large parties and were happy to replace the stake that had been charcoaled on the outside. Didn't try the beers but didn't seem like there was much on offer. Overall it suits its purpose but I wouldn't say the overall experience justifies the prices.

A very agreeable establishment. Great interior, tasty food, reasonable prices, pristine loos and excellent serving staff. Very cosy inside with period decor and a variety of seats to suit all postures. The menu isn't challenging but offers something for most tastes with options and additions at low prices. My steak was cooked perfectly as were my companions beetroot and chicken burgers. The wine list starts around £17 a bottle and all available by the small, medium or, in my case, large glass. Dessert menu proved to be more satisfying than on initial glance. Car park spacious. What's not to like?

I gave the Crooked Chimney a go this evening for a Sunday roast. We Was greeted at the bar by the gentleman and handed three adult menus when I had a 6 year old with me. When I asked “do you have a kids menu” the waiter stared at me with no reaction and just said I do , not I’ll grab you one, nothing. After I further asked for a child’s menu he brought one and we then ordered our food, all fine. Our food then came, 2 x Sunday trios and a kids meal. 1 of the trios came with no stuffing, and the veg was cold like it had been sat under a hot plate for a while. The beef was red and extremely chewy and the pork was just a block of fat. Also please note The “roast” potatoes are boiled potatoes, not roasted in the slightest. Both of us ended up leaving the meat on both of our plates. Then had to go up to the bar to pay our bill as no one bothered to come over to take our plates for over 20 minutes as it seemed there friends were stood at the bar talking and showing them pictures Overall, not a great experience. I understand we dined late in the evening on a Sunday but I believe the level of service and food standards should not change no matter the time of evening. Highly disappointed with our visit.

Had the 12£ for 3 small plates which is great value, spent the same amount on 2 pints which is pretty standard in today's economy. Cozy and rustic with friendly staff. Pretty up standard pub food. Wish we could've tried the mains but we were just on our way rambling through the fields. Will come back for a main one day

Building is over 200 years old and has some very nice interior characteristics. Very cosy and warm atmosphere. Service is extremely slow but atmosphere and food somewhat compensates for it. Highly recommend the king prawn cocktail and pan roasted lamb. Recommend to visit for a relaxing lunch or dinner and you are not in a hurry/or and extremely hungry or else you maybe waiting awhile.

Miserable staff, no manners. Owners need to have a chat with current boys behind the bar or think about getting new ones. Pizza was nice but salad served with it was awful! Staff didn’t offer any napkins or cutlery.

Came here yesterday evening for a drink with my bestfriend. We had a couple of drinks. Staff were friendly and it’s a nice, cute pub. It is also part of vintage inns.

This has to be one if the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Chopped tomatoes on top of a prawn cocktail which had no sauce and limp romaine lettuce doesn't do this 70s classic any favours.Lemon wedges also must be in short supply. Then there's the fish and chips which can only described as poor at best. Saying our batter is a dark batter, has me laughing even as I write the review. The pub as a whole has a nice feel about it. On a winters day with a great fire and a beer, it gives off a Snug vibe. Come on guy's do better with the food !!

A place I’ve always wanted to go to so we popped in for my girlfriend’s Birthday, Service was great and food was spot on. The pub itself has huge potential but could do with a massive deep clean and a little tidy up.

We enjoyed our lunch today as the food was excellent. Service was very good and efficient, all done within an hour. A shout out to our waiter Joe who was very attentive and polite.

What a great place ! Loved that the staff are so passionate about wanting to make sure alll guests are happy. All the staff were great, but special shout out to Laura who served us and when I could not make my mind up was really helpful and recommended the super green salad topped with sea bass. It was truly excellent and I will be back to have it again very soon. Have to say all the dishes on our table looked great - and the empty plates were proof it tasted great too. Great service !

Joe, our server was absolutely outstanding! He welcomed us warmly, anticipated our needs, followed up promptly and delivered us a very fine meal. Compliments to the chef!! He/She prepared us several outstanding dishes including the Sea Bass, Duck and Pineapple Salad along with the finest Fish & Chips I have ever had the pleasure of devouring. The batter was Crisp and elegant, almost like a Japanese dish and the fish was cooked to perfection. The chips were brilliant as well! My family and I had such a good time at the Cowper Arms!

We popped to The Waggoners for a cheeky pint in the sunshine and were so delighted with how nice of an experience it was. The staff was welcoming, and we even got a tour of all the dinning rooms with tables of all sizes. We sat outside in the sunshine, had beautiful pints of Guinness and hot nuts. The menu seemed full of fabulous options, and we ordered the frog legs in butter and garlic. It was stunning. And it was fun. Loved my visit and will definitely come back.

Absolutely lovely pub/restaurant out in the country. Warm and very inviting, plenty of parking a nice garden out the back, but too cold to sit outside. The food was to die for. The Waggoners probably have more to offer than what we needed. Definitely will be going again. But next time, I will take Digswell Hill because Ayot St Peter road is a single track and not many places to pass. Highly recommend. Give them a go.

A rustic but stylish french bistro in a 400 year old period (pub) building. It is set in a quiet corner surrounded by forest & field walkways through (& around) Brocket Hall. Ideal as a last stop for dog walkers & hikers. Their authentic french cuisine is beautifully presented & their Sunday roasts are to die for!! You need to book ahead especially at the weekend & on sunny days as a local favourite. Mid Priced & Well recommended!!

Came for the first time for my birthday with my partner. Lovely atmosphere, service was prompt. The food was delicious and portions just right- the set menu was great value. Make room for dessert! Worth the drive out of St Albans. We will be back next time for a walk along the adjacent paths to work off our meals!

Very pleasant evening at the Waggoners Ayots Green. An interesting menu but rather pricey for a midweek outing. Good service and parking and enjoyable atmosphere.

Stopped here after a walk. Lovely pub, very welcoming. Good menu. We ordered Gammon (very generous wedge) egg and chips and a Roast Beef (perfectly cooked) baguette with horseradish. followed by the chocolate tart as pictured. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Best steak I've ever had! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back! Was quite busy when we arrived but our server nat made sure we were seated and had everything we needed. Very impressed with the food and service. Nice wine too!

I had the most amazing dining experience during my first visit to this restaurant. The meal was absolutely delightful, particularly the lamb chop, and it exceeded my expectations. The pricing was reasonable. The staff, especially Lucas, were exceptionally courteous and attentive. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner there.

We really enjoyed our meal at The Three Horseshoes today. It was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, especially the trio Sunday roast! Our experience was made even better by Tricia our friendly server, who made us feel very welcome and provided excellent service.

I visited The Real China in Hatfield Galleria on Saturday with my family to celebrate my daughter’s 12th birthday, and I felt compelled to leave a review because of the wonderful experience we had. The staff were fantastic, especially John, who went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. He was incredibly polite, always had a smile on his face, and nothing was too much trouble for him. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the team made us feel truly special. This restaurant is perfect for family celebrations, special occasions, or even just a casual meal. The service is excellent, and the overall experience was fantastic. I highly recommend The Real China for anyone looking for a lovely dining experience.

We visited this place for the first time, and we would not come back. We paid £20 per person without a drink, and the quality of the food was not worth the money. The food sat in the pot so long that it overcooked and dried out. We tried all different foods, and the best was probably just Thai-style noodles, slow-cooked beef, and sweet and sour chicken. The worst was probably the duck meat, if you can call it that. It looked like it was cooked a week before and sat there until now. I have never seen such dry meat. Food-wise, the choices are not the best. Probably the worst are the dessert choices. Never seen such poor choices of desserts in a buffet. They have their own made-up desserts, like whipped cream with the same sauce and a piece of chocolate on top, or custard with one piece of banana and a sprinkle. Like, what is it? Also, the candy section was hard as a rock, and I almost lost a tooth from how hard they were. Service is lovely there, so it is sad the quality of food let down this buffet. Also, everything tasted very salty as well.

Ok so after checking out a lot of mixed reviews about the real China here's my opinion on Saturday evening buffet. Walked into a busy restaurant got seen quickly and seated. Grabbed a plate and started collecting. After a my first plate my opinion the food was above good. Few choices needed a touch of flavour adding to it, Noodles, sweet and sour and a pork choice of which I can't remember the name of it but overall we were satisfied. Staff very friendly, service was good and food was 4 *.

This Chinese restaurant near the University of Hertfordshire (De Havilland Campus) has been my go-to spot during my studies. The staff are always friendly, and the daily buffet offers a wide range of dishes from noodles, rice, and classic Chinese cuisines to sweet desserts. You can eat as much as you want for just £19.99 per person, which is perfect for students. It’s definitely the best place for Herts students, and I know I’ll really miss it now that I’ve finished university.

It's an all you can buffet. For the price I went in with expectations and they were met, Not exceeded, but can't say I did not get what I expected. The bill for three of us was £57. That is with refillable drinks. We all left full and happy. I actually like that the selection is a bit limited. I much prefer a few good dishes to so many mediocre or bad. We went for a Sunday lunch Restaurant was quite busy but we were seated quickly. Don't remember any background music, but lost of chatter from other patrons. Staff were all very friendly from the guy that greeted us and took payment on way in to all the staff that clear your plates and hid the over eating evidence Food was refilled quickly and everything I ate was at a good heat. I think we were a bit late in the day because most of the desserts were gone by the time we wanted some, but we were already too full from the mains anyway. I don't usually think Chinese restaurants are well know for their desserts anyway. Toilets could use some attention but they were serviceable.

Cashier discriminated against my tall friend (who is ten years old) and demanded she pays extra. When we decided that we will eat somewhere else, he kept the money and would not let it go. The food was okay, but mostly cold and dry. The atmosphere was way too warm.

What a delightful find on a Sunday afternoon! Live band Sundays in the summer. Great menu options suitable for all. Veggie roast was super tasty with colourful and tasty sides. Great selection of local ales too. A very welcoming atmosphere. Different areas to settle down in - sport screens or none and a lovely outside space too. This could well become a meeting spot on our way to and from London.

The pub has a old but very comforting environment, making you feel at home, then you get greeted by the wonderful staff. The food is the reason I go there, the chilli is definitely not for the faint of heart but the basket meals are incredibly good for money.

Great food, great management team and one of the best pubs in London Colney! A very old historical building and the gem of our village. Highly recommend to visit if in the area.

Despite the wonderful food, we felt largely overlooked during our meal. There was a noticeable delay in receiving assistance, and it seemed as though the staff was not particularly attentive to our needs. This lack of engagement detracted from what could have been a perfect dining experience. Additionally, I found the prices to be on the higher side, which is worth considering when planning your visit. On a positive note, parking is conveniently located next to the restaurant within a shopping area, making access easy. In summary restaurant offers delicious, high-quality Turkish food in an elegant setting, but the customer service could use some improvement. If you're looking for a tasty meal and can overlook the service hiccups, it’s definitely worth a visit!

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was not only tasty but also healthy, which is a rare combination to find. Great service, delicious food- we had the Turkish breakfast and a veggie full English with some Turkish tea! The food was so fresh, hot & delicious! The manager also gave us some pancakes to try! So generous, clean and a great start to a Sunday morning!! Love it!!

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is second to none – attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Without a doubt, this is the best place to eat in Hatfield.

We have been here 5 times and have ordered takeaway several times. Never disappointed and extremely tasty food. The meat, fish and vegetarian dishes are all equally wonderful and beautifully presented. The bread supplied when you sit down or order takeaway is also sublime coming with both a garlic mayonnaise and spicy but not head blowing sauce. The serving staff know their dishes and are very welcoming without being overbearing. Their aim is simply to ensure you enjoy your meal whatever your budget. The restaurant has a feel of luxury unlike the prices. Go there and enjoy it!

We had lunch at Turkish Kitchen. Knowing Turkish food very well coming from 'Ackney. So whilst waiting for the food to arrive, the bread was served. Shock, horror it was stale. After speaking to the waitress she asked the manager to come around. So the manager, erm, he could not accept feedback at all. He actually told us we ' could leave ' - how rude! First time in my life eating at a Turkish restaurant did we experience such, with disgust! Now we are not from the area ( Hatfield ) but we definitely will not be eating at this established after our experience. Shame!

Really nice food and very good service. The place has very nice seating. There’s an area to have brunch, but it’s a bit separate from the rest. I tried the lamb casserole and it was delicious. I also like that they bring you a spicy sauce separately, because I don’t like my food very spicy. The pita bread that came with the hummus was delicious. It was warm and it had a somewhat sweet smell. The only problem is that we got almost full with the pitta bread and the hummus and we couldn’t finish our mains. But they gave us a takeaway box, so no food was wasted 😃

Nice atmosphere, great service food was good but it can be better. On my crab & lobster ravioli green salad wasn’t really fresh so I seperated them from pasta and then had it. Calamari and prawns was amazing. Kids menu are fantastic 👏🏻 Thank you

Staff are friendly enough but don’t look happy. Left at the door for 10 minutes whilst Deliveroo food being sorted and tables cleared despite there being many available tables to sit at. Food was nice. Starter mushrooms delicious but not great value as there were not many at all in the dish. Apart from that this is a great place to eat with kids.

Was very quiet in here for a bank holiday Monday, but very peaceful too. Food was out very quick, tasted really nice. Service from the 2 waitresses on shift was spot on too! Will defo be back in future! Thanks again 🥰

Walked into a half empty restaurant to see two serving staff standing talking behind the bar, having us wait until they finished laughing! Aldo saw three chefs just standing talking behind their service station. Leaning against it also. The waitress wasn’t very attentive in the slightest and didn’t listen past the first three or four words of a sentence each time we spoke. Even to the point, later when asking if our food was okay and I was telling her not really, she just nodded and said “oh that’s good!” The waitress handed us the special menu of which we went to order from. When she came back to us seven or eight minutes later to take our order, the items we asked for were not available! Chose something off the main menu, it was okay, nothing thrilling though. It was served in a cold bowl. It was the beef ravioli. Try to get the waitresses attention, but couldn’t find anybody at that time The piece of basil decoration on top was a sorry state (see picture). The only reason for going to Prezzo restaurants is if ever there is a voucher for 50% off of the main, otherwise, I would suggest eating elsewhere

We are sad to be writing this review - we travel to this Prezzo as we usually recieve friendly and efficient service, however this time the service fell very short. There were four adults dining to celebrate a birthday and we were shown a very small table which was unsuitable for four adults. When we asked (politely) if we can move to a larger table, the waitress was less than enthusiastic as she had to 'clear the table'. The table didn't need clearing, just some extra cutlery and a wipe down. By her attitude, it was made obvious to us that this was a pain, but she grudgingly did it anyway. Once seated, we ordered our drinks (a bottle of wine, two beers and some tap water) as we had been waiting a little while, we also ordered our food at the same time. Approximately 20 minutes later, our food arrived but still no drinks. We pointed this out to our waitress (a different waitress) and she went off to investigate. 10 to 15 minutes later, three of our drinks arrives, minus one beer. We were told that this was on it's way. 10 minues after this, the beer was just slid onto the table with no apology and by which time we had nearly finished our meals! The tap water never arrived. I appreciate they may have been short staffed that evening, but this doesn't excuse the poor attitude. We will probably give this Prezzo a miss for a while, which is a shame as this is our go to Prezzo branch.

We had a lovely time celebrating a family birthday at prezzo, the food was delicious and hot. Special mention to our waiter, sorry did not note the name but the gentlemen with short hair and glasses, so polite, friendly and attentive. He went the extra mile making sure the kids had everything they needed and arranged for a birthday candle at short notice. Thank you!

first time at prezzo in hatfield. food was lovely, the rigatoni arrbiatta al forno was delicious, good flavour and nice and spicy. unfortunately the service was poor, one of our waitresses looked miserable and seemed uninterested, had to ask for cutlery twice as there was none on the table when we sat down. we were not checked on throughout the duration of eating our mains and couldn’t locate a waiter so only had one drink for an hour and a half. tables and chairs were filthy. definitely needs improvement but the food was good & price wasn’t too bad either.

Lovely pub in the countryside near Essendon. We did a 5 mile walk from here and got back in time for lunch and were not disappointed! Excellent choice of food from snacks, sandwiches, to full meals at reasonable prices. Good range of beers too! Friendly, efficient waitress serving behind the bar, taking orders and bringing out the food. I had the special - steak, red wine and horseradish sauce pie with sweet potato fries - delicious!

Real, cozy country pub. Traditional. Great lunch selection. We had steak and ale pies, mash and veg. Quiet, deep in the Hertfordshire countryside.

Called ahead as travelling through and needed a spot to sleep. Welcoming pub (sadly just missed the rugby) friendly customers, excellent food, doggo friendly and great night sleep at the rear for us campers! Highly recommend and will be back.

We've been here a couple of times, and it's a lovely country pub. Great tables outside, lots of space and it makes a great base to do a walk around the nearby paths. We had a range of food - all decent, pub grub, good size helpings, nothing too fancy, decent prices. Good beers on tap, and a selection of alternatives. Football on the TVs inside. Water for dogs - great. Friendly staff, chatty with the regulars and the passers-by alike.

Lovely place. Great big garden and brilliant for kids. Very tranquil and with a peacock and goats, the kids were kept amused. If I’m being picky, it’s a shame there’s no table service. I spent a lot of our visit going backwards and forwards to order, queue, collect etc.

Not a bad place for a quick dinner at all! There are always people regardless if it rains or not which is telling something. The atmosphere is great. The food is okay though you may need to wash it down with a beer or two!

A spacious place inside and outside, many tables, no music. Drinks - I see a spectrum. The food is heat-treated from the refrigerator, fresh food is not abundant, the prices are normal. There are hourly promotions convenient for visiting with the whole family, birthdays and similar events.

I went to see a friend I hadn't seen for a long time. There is loads of parking - first 90 minutes are free and if you stay longer then you have to pay extra. It's very deceptive from outside but inside is massive. We ordered our drinks and some food. I am vegetarian but my friends loved their chicken wings/nuggets and I ordered chips and on the whole food was good. Afterwards we ordered more food incl. garlic bread!! It was sprinkled with garlic powder!!! which is not really what it said on the tin. Very disappointing but overall the atmosphere was very good and the staff were very friendly. Service was very efficient and quick. Hatfield is about 40 miles from where I am in East London. But I will be going there a lot from now on. A must visit place for a drink and some food.

A really clean and well maintained Spoons. The ordering was quick and simple. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was cooked to perfection, which is the first time i can honestly say that about a Spoons pub! I was really impressed and we will definitely be coming back even though we live in London.

The service is not good at all. It's been a year. We came here and today they asked us for ID. They didn't ask us in the first place, when we used to come, but now they ask. I have no problem showing ID, but after a year, they ask and don't serve us, which is completely rude and unacceptable. After showing ID, the manager says we can't deliver the drink because it was already made and we can't provide a new one as we have to see the stocks. I see the bartender giving shots to their friends for free thats favouritism. This doesn't make sense. I don't recommend anyone come here. They treat you according to their mood, which is not good and unacceptable. If you want to ask for ID, ask from the first day you visit, not after a year, and say no, we can't serve you because you look under 25.

Nice good size. It looked clean and new. Friendly staff and didn't have to wait long for drinks or food. Was pretty quiet too but may have been cause it was a weekday.

Another fabulous afternoon out! Best friend annual get together, where we try different venues! Two Willows in Welwyn is our new favourite! Bobby was attentive, polite and couldn't be more attentive if he tried! Making this our absolute go to brunch! If carlsberg did brunches... Two Willows smash it!! 👌

Bobby was a brilliant server and the value for money on the bottomless brunch is amazing. I managed to polish off 13 drinks. Along with a huge portion of wings which was so much I even had some to takeaway and eat later on.

A pub with lots of screens for all your sporting needs. The food has definitely improved. The pizzas were really tasty. Nice crisp base with good chew in the dough. The burger was a nice and spicy, the actual burger was cooked well.

Finn was absolutely amazing. Made sure our table was never empty of drinks and always came to check if we wanted another round. The bottomless brunch was well worth the money. From the first minute we sat down finn made sure to get us a round. Absolutely would come again. Food was amazing. I was jealous of my husbands pizza looked and tasted brilliant.

Called here yesterday looking for somewhere to watch the F1. Booked online with the Sunday Pit Stop menu added on. Turned up with a table right in front of the TV and the pit stop menu already on the table. Was nervous we wouldn't be able to listen to commentary but when the F1 started they swapped the sound in our section from the music to commentary. Food was delicious and the pit stop deal was really good value for the amount of food you got. If you're looking for someone to watch the sport would definitely recommend here!

Bobby and Scotty were absolutely brilliant – so helpful and genuinely kind during our visit. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. It really made the atmosphere in the pub feel extra friendly. Thanks to them, we had a great time and will definitely be back!

I had a wonderful experience at Pizza Express! The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our pizzas were fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour — the dough was light and crispy, and the toppings tasted really fresh. Service was quick, even though the restaurant was busy, and our server checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly, and the prices felt very reasonable for the quality. I’ll definitely be coming back!

We had a work social night out at PizzaExpress for one of their adult pizza-making parties and it was absolutely brilliant! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience so much fun from start to finish. We honestly couldn’t stop laughing – it was such a funny and memorable evening. They were also really generous with the ingredients, drinks, and time. We never felt rushed and everything was really well-organised. It was excellent value for money, and a great way to do something different as a team. I’d highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and relaxed group activity. We’ll definitely be booking again soon! 5 stars. Top experience.

Not bad at all. In fact, for once, I’m going to run through the dishes without throwing a chair through the kitchen window. Main meal: Pizza Romano style. Excellent. The base was thin and crispy – the kind of crispiness that makes you feel slightly smug while biting into it – topped with just the right balance of sauce and cheese. None of that soggy mess you get elsewhere. This was a proper pizza. Beetroot salad Buddha bowl. I didn’t order it, obviously. I’m not the sort of man who chooses something called a “Buddha bowl” unless I’ve lost a bet. My wife did. And… annoyingly… it was brilliant. Fresh, bright, and rescued from hippie territory by a sharp vinaigrette that really should come as standard. Without it, it’s just yoga in a bowl. Macaroni cheese. Yes, it was delicious, but it also came with an industrial amount of garlic. You could smell it the moment you broke the crust. Honestly, it was like Dracula had just been hunted in the kitchen. Never in my life have I encountered such a garlicky mac & cheese. Utterly bizarre decision, but somehow… it worked. Polenta fries. Five out of ten. Meh. Like kissing through a scarf. Perfectly okay with the mustard dressing, but without it? As bland as a motorway services sandwich. Just give us real fries, for heaven’s sake. Dough sticks with salad. I was ready to hate these. They looked bland enough to be sold at an airport. But then I bit in – crispy outside, fluffy inside – and suddenly I was happy. Very happy. Halloumi cheese bites. Disaster. If halloumi is meant to squeak like you’re walking in fresh snow, these were more like damp cardboard. No squeak, no texture, no joy. The manager, who was excellent, took them off the bill. My advice? Don’t serve them. Ever. Staff. Faultless. We were served by a smiling young woman and a cheerful older chap. Both made the experience better – which is more than you can say for the halloumi.

Went for a Birthday meal with my family. From the moment we walked in the waitress Roxy was friendly and attentive to our needs. She explained the menu questions we had and regularly checked in to see if we were ok or if we needed anything else. The food was cooked perfectly and well presented. Excellent experience and will definitely be returning.

Dined in last Sunday with my family for a quick meal, service was excellent the waitress called Emmeline was a delight went above and beyond to cater to my dietary needs. Very pleasant experience food was lovely I had the american hot and it was very good. I would definitely recommend and come back :)

The restaurant had about 3 tables of people, it took them 20 minutes to take my order (after having to call them over myself). The food took another 30 minutes to arrive. After, we had to ask for our desserts to be given to us (10 minutes after finishing our food). Absolutely 0 service, and the cheek of them to expect a tip.

Visited here today and had a fantastic meal with my Son but what impressed me most were the amazing staff who were rushed off of their feet but were still welcoming and charming despite it. A Fantastic meal and atmosphere right on my doorstep. This is one of the few great pubs left nowadays with honest, classic pub food at reasonable prices. If you eat a main course, please have a desert too. You'll die for the proper classic crumble or the chocolate fudge pudding with Ice cream or custard. Mmmm! The service is also prompt and warm, with the owners being really hospitable. Don't hesitate to try this great 120-year-old village pub.

Went for a Sunday lunch. Had the veggie roast and I was surprised as it tasted a lot better than it looked. My partner’s burger was however very lacking without much to like about it. Very friendly service and welcoming staff though!

Went to visit this pub with a colleague for lunch a week ago. We tried another pub in Colney Heath. However, they did not serve lunch on Tuesdays, which is when a local suggested this pub instead. Great staff and a very good proper lunch. People were starting to enter by the time we left but overall a nice little pub and definitely exceeded my expectations.

Four of us had an excellent lunch today. Good food, good menu, great service.

I’ve been coming to the woodman for a few years now, hopefully to keep coming for many more! Incredible carvery on a Sunday which is well worth the cost, beers and cider on offer are amazing and the staff are worth the price in themselves. It would take too long to list all the ladies who work at the woodman, but they make our group and especially my grandad feel like VIPs. Thanks all!

Had a great meal and can really recommend the Woodman Inn. Along with a great atmosphere and really welcoming staff we enjoyed a really relaxing midweek meal for 4. Having had a friendly welcome and time for a relaxing coffee, followed by an excellent freshly cooked meal. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly Manager and his staff. Definitely going back again.

After a 4 mile walk round North Mymms wood, a friend and I visited the Inn for lunch today (14/5/25). We were made to feel welcome from the start and quickly ordered ham, eggs & chips each. This was superb, with plenty of ham and two freshly cooked eggs, nice chips and side salad. My friend then had Woodman mess (like Eton mess!) for dessert whilst I had the apple pie & cream. Again, both delicious. My pie was bulging with fruit and swimming in cream. And to top it all off, our server was, like me, a big ABBA fan. The subject came up as an ABBA song was played during our lunch! A great meal out for us both. We would certainly visit again.

Woodman carvory is a lovely place to eat, drink and chill. Recommend the goulash. It was delicious. The pub is very cute and the garden is really lovely. Absolutely wonderful afternoon celebrating together. Caz was a wonderful host. The food was really amazing, especially considering the large group of people.

I come here regularly with friends and family and have always loved the atmosphere food and service. Kids have a great time whilst adults can enjoy the garden. Recently there has been one member of staff that has not only put myself of coming here but all our friends and family. Young girl named Megan who is blunt with all customers launches your plate down in front of you had no manors , and is completely miserable. Having spoken to other regulars we are not the only ones who feel this way or experienced the attitude. We have ended up leaving the pub to go to another due to her service. Completely off putting she should not be working as bar staff and front of house with no personality .

Furniture needs a total renovation. Obviously no profit being spent making the pub more appealing. Lacking ladies toilets. Shame that the brewery don’t think the pub is worth spending profit on it. Staff are great. Shame about the decor.

Sushi and cooked food are just average, noodles are warm only with no favour. Price is a little high. Overall not very good. Will go back to check out the Chinese hotpot for future review.

The best Japanese place in Hatfield. Their starters are yumm and the katsu curry, egg fried rice and sushi are my all time favourites. Not sure if it is a Japanese beer or wine that they serve it hot, it is a must try if you are up for alcohol.

Been here a few times now and every dish we have tried has been freshly prepared, tasty and well presented. Very well priced as well for the quality of food, with friendly and speedy service. Would highly recommend!

Unfortunately I was disappointed with this place - ordered a dragon roll and the rice was still warm and obviously had been made with too much water so it was soggy and had also made the prawn tempura inside the roll to be soggy too. Both aspects could be considered a 'school boy error' to sushi making. Each roll was tiny and rather bland. I'm just glad I had a discount code otherwise it'd be even more annoyed. Although this is my local sushi place, I definitely won't be returning and will stick to the best sushi in a neighbouring area beginning with a "B". I don't rate supermarket sushi but I think I would have got more satisfaction from buying the Sainsbury's one at a fraction of the price too.

If you ever find yourself at the Cowshed at Tewin you’ll know two things for sure: cows have nothing to do with the menu, and the chef is a magician disguised as a culinary genius. The food? Incredible. The ambience? Somewhere between charmingly rustic and "Did we just step into someone’s renovated barn?" The chef, however, steals the show. Each dish is like a love letter to your taste buds—handwritten and sealed with flavor.A perfectionist in the best possible way. You can feel his heart and passion in every bite. This isn’t just food; it’s like a love letter to your stomach. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday on the end of the year there, and it was the kind of meal that made us wish we could redo birthdays just for an excuse to come back. The steak? It was so tender I’m convinced the cow had a spa day before it landed on our plates. And the scotch egg? Heaven. If I could marry a food, it would be this. The staff were absolute legends—friendly, funny, and somehow made us feel like we were the most important guests in the place. And the desserts? Ohhh, those desserts. Sweet, decadent, and dangerously addictive. We left with full stomachs, full hearts, and the very real possibility of a food coma.

Everything was delicious, cannot fault quality of food. Just comparing to others I’ve been to would have liked a few more sandwiches or at least to have them replenished once. Staff were amazing and attentive. Atmosphere was lovely apart from when a table with children came in who started screaming, very echoey room. Would highly recommend.

Delicious afternoon tea in beautiful location, well worth the drive. Amazing venue which includes a hotel, restaurant, outdoor bar area, cookery school etc. Tea was lovely and good customer service especially from the woman who greeted us and took us to our table. Would return with other guests.

Booked by my brother-in-law for mum's 88th birthday, afternoon tea. Lovely cool interior on a very hot and sunny day. The experience was most pleasurable, the staff were all friendly and welcoming but a particular mention to our lovely waitress, Fay. Lovely greeting, big smile, nothing too much bother, she definitely added enjoyment to a very pleasant afternoon. A very happy mother-in-law, Many thanks.

We were a party of 7 and had a wonderful time. A number of us gad various dietary needs and our waitress, Lottie was so accommodating. She even made suggestions for ways to adapt our afternoon tea so we were able to make it bespoke. The tea selection was fantastic. The food was lovely. Great flavour combinations. But it was the service that was really stand out. Lottie was superb. Friendly, patient and so accommodating. We will definitely be returning!

Amazing food and friendly service, the only thing lacking was it took over 20 minutes to get a childs dessert but people were really friendly and in fairness they were busy. The good, the food omg amazing. Had the complimentary freshly baked bread, soda bread and cheese profiteroles, both were lovely. For the starter I had the scotch egg and it was perfectly cooked, my wife had the mackerel and said it was divine. Mains I had the tomahawk pork and it was delicious, full of flavour and not over cooked (asked for well done). Wife had the chicken dish and said it was the best chicken she's ever tasted (the servers recommended this one too). We were so full we couldn't finish everything, overall a lovely eating experience 👌 Edit, it's been 2 years since I've posted, had similar food to last time and it was even better, for starters the wife had salmon and wasabi mousse and I had scotch egg (again) and it was amazing. Mains my wife had the lamb and said it was the best lamb she's ever tasted and I had the pork with a bit of celeriac mash, it was hugeeeee! Can't go wrong with a perfectly cooked big slab of pork, not over not under. Wife also had a peanut parfait which I took a spoon off and wanted a portion, it's basically a posh peanut ice cream. Again a lovely eating experience, server was great, very friendly and knowledgeable 👍

Had a Order delivered with half the chicken missing and also half the soggy batter not even on the chicken and when I went to KFC to confront them about this, they said this was acceptable. Never order from this KFC. The Manager did not accept blame and kept blames the delivery service when it's KFC who prepared the food. What a joke!!!! Absolutely disgusting attitude from this KFC

Worst meals ever. It happened to me many times. Not just once. Finally decided to put a review here. Ordered Mighty Bucket for One Meal & Zinger Supercharger, in both of them the chicken tasted aweful, cooked using old oil or cooked multiple times. I can't imagine how they want customers to eat these. Soon after having few bites, myself & wife both felt sick & very uncomfortable for hours. Terrible experience. I would never order from here. NEVER !!!

Self order using the screens. A 10 minute wait for the food which was okay. The place is freezing cold inside so kept our coats on! Food was hot and received everything we ordered which doesn’t always happen when you order online or go through the drive thru! Wheelchair accessible.

I went through the KFC drive-through today and had a really disappointing experience. The staff member (the guy) working there was extremely rude, not just to me but to other customers as well. It was clear that he was frustrated because it was busy, but instead of handling it professionally, he took out his anger on customers. This kind of behaviour is unacceptable customers should never be spoken to like that, no matter how stressful things get. If this is the standard of customer service KFC provides or the way staff are trained to treat people, then I honestly don’t see myself coming back again. Very poor experience.

To me I think kfc has gone down the pan in my option. Ordered a delivery. Turned up. Well. Looked like a 5 year old had put it together. Sprinkle of lettuce, a drop off sauce. Etc etc and had the nerve to charge £12.00 for the meal deal. Won’t be using kfc again.

The fries were reheated, my salad was so bad mix of new and old leaves. The chicken wasn't fresh and it seems like it had been cooked ages ago...we had a family bucket but barely ate our meal... there was no 1.5l bottle of drink so we were given 4 glasses of sprites. There was no forks so we tried to eat our salad with a spoon... the experience was just awful... the place needs re decorating... it's old and I would not let it pass the health and safety compliance requirements will fail this establishment to keep a KFC restaurant open! This needs to be looked at in details... it should not be opened 😒 it's a full on salmonella outbreak ready to happen!!!! So disappointed that it's called KFC...

If I could give minus stars I would. Chicken was raw! When I went back in with it the first server just walked away from me before I even spoke. The next person then decided to rudely gaslight me by saying it’s “just seasoning” !! I asked for a refund and was told “no ill just replace the meal” I said I’ll only accept a replacement meal if he could guarantee it’s cooked fresh and properly. He just shook his head? Vile food and vile customer service!

The BEST Indian takeaway I promise! I have lived all over London and this is by far the most delicious Indian takeaway there is. Always hot , full of flavour and always on time! This place is our go too if we’re gonna order a takeaway because we know it’s going to be delicious. We have ordered here 12+ times and each time was just as good as the last which is rare.

Possibly the worse food I’ve ever eaten in my life!!!! This isn’t an understatement i wouldn’t feed it to a dog or a rat: it was cold, hard and dry and no sauce at all: I’m in disbelief someone can deliver such so bad food and I wouldn’t call it food: WOW sack your chef and please don’t deliver such terrible food to Anyone again! Worse part of this is that I’d had 10 pints beforehand and even bad food would have tasted good but even after 10 pints this was truly the worse food known to mankind: I’ll never get over how bad this was oh and delivery took over an hour ffs - please close your place down and get a job where you don’t do food

First time order from Bengal Spices hatfield. It was really tasty and delivered the food very quickly. Food was hot and fresh.I would recommend everyone try this place you won’t be disappointed. I am looking forward to ordering food again next week.keep up the good jobs guys.

Fantastic Indian takeaway. Been going there for years and never disappointed. Food tastes amazing, portion sizes are large, service is great, and it opens earlier than most of the others round our way. Would thoroughly recommend it. Haven't experienced a better India takeaway in years.

The food is tasty with very generous portion sizes. Delivery is always on time, and the service is friendly.

Use to love coming here, but within last 6 months has become really poor customer service along with them removing the comfy seats and also blocking fire exits and making the restaurant hell for wheelchair users. This is not good enough, your accessibility and fire safety needs to be sorted along with staff ignoring customers at counter if issue with order and just poor customer service skills. Again prior to six months ago was amazing and staff where helpful and wonderful.

I go to the PureGym at the galleria and I get food from Burger King occasionally and sometimes it’s ok, sometimes I taste old burnt oil, staff are friendly and seating area is ok. Major problem is their exhaust that’s being pumped into atmosphere dumped onto the bus stop outside making it inhabitable. it’s disgusting and creates a foggy unhealthy environment, smells of burnt oil, the smell is horrible beyond description. I always have to walk to next bus stop to catch the bus and you usually don’t see people waiting or using that bus stop due to this issue. Hope they fix it

Visited on the way to the cinema. Ordering machines were not working and spent 20 mins trying to order and trying to get get help from staff as the order would not complete. Complete lack of communication. Would not let me order from the till/collection counter. And rudeness and cluelessness from all staff members as they kept repeating the same words "there is a problem and they are rebooting" despite nothing happening. Ended up walking out with many other customers due to incompetence of staff

I ordered the BBQ chicken fries and i got 4 sad little pieces of depressing, legal limit tread depth covered on non flavoured dingle berries. To add to the matter, my burger was the size of an under developed infant. Overall, i was not happy with the production and manufacturing process of the food. Additionally, i also ordered the chocolate brownie cheesecake for £2.29 and i was astounded by the fact that i had to squint to see the monstrosity that was made in that there kitchen, it also tasted like gone off brake cleaner. 0/10 would not recommend.

Sadly, the worst I've ever had. Short on taste and quantity. Tasted artificial and through the takeaway in the bin after a few mouthfuls. In fact I was sick during the night. They need to up their game or they won't last sadly. Previous owners and food qaulity, of the Raj, prior to this year, were first class.

We hadn't had a meal from the Raj for a while. We were very satisfied indeed. Prompt service, happy, friendly staff and an excellent pint of Kingfisher! We had the Chicken Tikka Starter which was most generous followed by a Lamb Biryani, superb, a lovely flavour and tender lamb. See you soon guys :)

Had a really lovely evening with my uncle tonight. Ordered a lamb and chicken dish which were great. The thing I lived most about this place was the personal touch by the owner and his waiter serving us tonight - genuine. If I lived locally I would definitely revisit and support this restaurant during these hard economic times. Thank you Raj.

It’s a lovely restaurant. The food was always delicious. We had breakfast everyday during our stay at the Comet London Hatfield Hotel. We also had dinner on two evenings. Customer service was great. Staffs were friendly. We enjoyed our meal there every time. We will go back next year.

We are staying at the hotel and wanted to try the brunch, we arrived at 12:03 and were told that the brunch finished at 12h. However, on the website, it’s written that it is available until 12:30. We came back for the afternoon tea at 5:02 and were told that we had to reserve in advance and it was only until 5 pm. Again, on the website, it’s clearly written that it is until 5:30 and nowhere there’s a note about advance booking. At both times, all the tables were empty. I am beyond disappointed.

Good halal kebab shop in Hatfield . Had a fantastic experience at Hatfield Kebab House! The food was fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. Really disappointed with my order and the service today on 06.06.25, placed an order requested only lettuce and onion with my order. Marked as paying cash, when order arrived, driver didn't have any change on him... order was £13.58, i had £20.58 so expected to get £10.... suggested that I give him the money and he would come back with the money... seriously?!!! Then when he came back 20mins later (with the same cold food) he hadnt brought £10 but loose change and then insisted i gave him my receipt back so i took a photo of it. when I opened my food, it had full salad!.. if I had allergies to tomatoes, that could have been a problem but when I phoned the shop they were trying to tell me it wasn't wrong then apologised calling me sir!? The last time I will order from there again!

Very disappointing experience today, me and my rugby team went to watch the FINAL of the women’s rugby World Cup, watched all the way through until the last 20 minutes with music blaring over it so we couldn’t hear anything, but didn’t complain because we were happy it was being shown. The final 20 minutes the tv went blank and it was switched off for a Sunderland Saturday match, which was totally unfair, it would be slightly more understandable if it was a really important match like the euros, however it was not- and to switch the world final off (which England were playing) for a for a premier league game is a clear representation of how this establishment feels towards women’s sports and the lack of thought and respect for women’s opportunities in sports. It is a real shame because a lot of our team were always coming down to the Hatfield tap, and now unfortunately we will not be continuing this, it is truly hurtful to our team considering the Hatfield Tap sponsor our men’s rugby team- and we have always supported the tap with events. But I suppose today has been an enlightening experience- learning that our favourite local pub has truly no support or respect for the sport that we try so hard to gain representation for. We were left with little choice then to watch the final on a small phone in our car as there was only 20 minutes left and already struggle finding places to show the game.

They made my food incorrectly, had to wait 10 to 15mins whilst everyone else was eating. Order a chicken doner wrap and specifically said do not want chilli sauce as I have a heart condition and if I eat anything spicy I tend to have attacks, sadly this was the case on Sunday evening, plus they got my partners order wrong and the kids burger and chips were cold. We requested a refund however the very rude man on the phone wanted the food back (why would you want the food back) can’t exactly resell the food. The delivery lady then got on the phone explained we will get a refund Wednesday and guess what phoned again today and all we got was abuse over the phone

**Terrible service, rude owner, and no refund!** I had a horrible experience with Charcoal Grill. They messed up my order, and when I called to get it sorted (as anyone would), Mo, the owner, seemed annoyed but eventually said they'd deliver the correct one. However, the driver called back saying the correct order wasn't coming after all. I could hear Mo shouting in the background, so I asked to speak to him directly. Mo was incredibly rude and wouldn't listen to anything I was trying to explain, just kept repeating himself angrily. He then told me to "go away" and hung up on me! Unbelievable. On top of all that, they refused to issue a refund for the messed-up order. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. It is such a shame as I have used them so many times.

Just ordered a take away order was correct but food was awful ordered a large donner kebab had a curly piece of thin metal wire in it and basically no salad and the salad I had cucumber was bad Didn't eat it as I don't want food poisoning trust was gone onion rings were burnt and I ordered large chips that came in a small square boxes not very large to me and also over cooked overall very disappointing and first time trying this take away and will definitely be the last as I didn't even eat it

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I asked the very rude blonde waitress with the very short hair if there was anything gluten free as I’m coeliac. She told me that maybe the hash browns were. When I asked about the chips she scoffed and said that I should know if they are or not. Chips are naturally gluten free but it depends how they’re cooked, so this was a valid question. She made me feel stupid and dismissed my concerns. I ordered the omelette, chips and salad and have since had a reaction. I’m not happy at all. Definitely do NOT eat here if you have any allergies or dietary requirement, especially not with that rude women. If you see her run for the the hills. Scream and run.

You come for the food - which rarely disappoints. It’s fresh, the selection is good - and it tastes great. Have been to multiple Wagamama’s many times. I get the casual dining thing; and I’m fine with that. But I do feel that often staff can use this as a get-out for poor service. Often there’s this awkward wait on arrival before someone notices you. We were taken to our table and left with no menus. There seemed to be few staff around - and they were at the bar or by kitchen (it was not busy). We eventually got our menus; and then three staff came in quick succession before we’d had the chance to decide. Drinks took ages - they were sat on the bar ready. My wife actually got them herself. Food arrived, as it does (staggered and when ready - I’m totally happy with this). Food was good as always. I do like the ability to pay at your table with the QR code. This at least avoids the need to find staff and ask for the bill. The bill splitting options are also great for situations that require that. Come for the food, not the service or atmosphere.

I recently visited Galeria with Hadis, and we really enjoyed the food. Elie, the manager, was very nice and made sure everything was handled properly. My food arrived a little later than expected, but that’s completely understandable—mistakes happen, and we’re all human. Overall, it was a good experience, and I truly appreciate the service. Really nice branch! Food tasted lovely and arrived in good time. The service overall was very good, however, if I was being picky the staff could have noticed a few things. For example we didn’t have chopsticks or cutlery at our table and the waitress began clearing plates away while I was still eating, which in my opinion is not great front of house etiquette. Nevertheless a great experience at this Hatfield branch and if I’m in the area again I’d consider dropping in for a bite.

We stopped of for a little lunch break while shopping. The restaurant and are table was clean, the young black lady was very friendly. The food was delicious and so fresh, the Cha Han Chicken amazing! Unfortunately, the duck gyoza tasted like the meat filling was cooked from frozen, which effected the frying of the pastry, making the outside wet in the middle and crispy at the ends.

It would be nice to have a bigger portions, lots of pak choi less spring onion and big piece of salmon. Today I was more disappointed. One of the worst experiences ordering food through uber eats. Delivered more than 1 hr late, ruined our mood and stomach. Food was insufficient but bad, so nobody missed it. Would have still given it 3 star rating if the person receiving calls at hotel and person delivering food was a little more considerateband polite. Ordered a single dish and after waiting for about 1 hr their reply was one of the dishes we ordered got delayed so they need some more time. I found that their hygiene rating is bad and need sufficient improvement. Sadly didn't expect uber eats to list such a hotel in their platform.

This place has raised my expectations with they're wonderful statisfying authentic dishes. At first, I was skeptical in ordering due to some of the negative feedback but I went ahead with a late night takeaway and I found it to be one of the best I ever tried.

Ordered for delivery on uber eats, food came within a reasonable time and was hot, flavour wise dont order from here, i thought i was going nuts when each bite of the food made me gag but my partner had the same reaction and we didnt even manage to eat 1/4 of it, good heat level but over seasoned with other spices giving a horrible bitter aftertaste, all the dishes we ordered had that horrifically bitter taste. Last night I’ve ordered food from this restaurant through Uber eats and I’ve had the Worst experience of my life with the delivery as this restaurant use their own delivery boys, 1. He was late, 2. He’s got a lot of attitude, 3. He jus refused to deliver the food at my door and said I’m not coming to your door, if you want the food come and pick up the food on the road. And finally when I opened the food even that’s not good at all . I ordered dum biryani and please don’t ask me what I got..and the chicken lollipops are even worst.. and thank god that they ran out of seek kebab and canceled it..

This place is also called Hatfield Pizza and grill, They delayed my order for 1 hour and they told me to cancel the order in the end 😡 They guy on call seem like a manager or owner told me to cancel the order after waiting for the order at 2am. They estimated delivery time was 1am , At 2am after calling them to enquire, they are asking me to cancel the order. what a rude behavior and you are asking me why am I calling them like 3 times from 1am, for god sake I am waiting from so long and what should I do? Not ask anything and forget about it? Why do you guys even operate if you can't fulfil the order. This message is totally legit and I would make sure google don't allow them to remove this review, if they try to remove. Update: Now they delivered my order the exact time they delivered was 2:35am, 1 hour 35min after the estimated delivery time. I was fast a sleep, I lost my appetite and I don't even want this anymore.

As a cafe enthusiast I LOVED the place, the food was delicious and far cheaper and more value for money than your average Starbucks, the staff was super polite and made you feel at home. 10/10, they've got a new regular customer

Second time I've been here. First time was with my eldest daughter and today I visited with my youngest daughter. Both times, the food has been exceptional, freshly made and reasonably priced. Lots of seating, the place was busy as it was lunchtime, but we still managed to get a seat. Friendly and attentive staff and a good atmosphere with lots of regular customers. Highly recommended!

I joined my friends for dinner on Sunday, Iv never been here but, I'm here now. The food, looks good, But, very poor, the calamari was so small you could not tast it, it was like eating batter, I had the rump steak, it was cooked how I asked medium but horrible tast and very rubbery, the beef dripping was discuting, the triple cooled chips were not you can get better oven chips, they can't even get the chips right, hiw do you think they going to get the steak right. iv eaten in meny stake restaurants, but this is one of the worst, it's supposed to be higher end and reason price, but you are better of in a weverspoon they do a better steak. The dezert was OK, ice cream average. I would like to say, I want to give you no stars but, the waitress Diana was excellent, she is wasted in this restaurant, so I'm giving you one star,, and four stars for Diana sevice. Excellent service from start to finish, especially from Emmalina who was very cheerful and was very friendly with me and my sister, whose birthday (tomorrow) we were celebrating. She made sure we had everything we needed and served us promptly and checked in on us often. We loved our meals and my sister was delighted as our meal couldn’t have gone any better. Thanks.

4 of us dined last night (07/08) at Miller & Carter Brookmans Park. Could not recommend highly enough. We had Maria looking after us for the evening and each time we return she always greets us and remembers us. The food was 10/10, 4 empty plates. The app is brilliant and last night got to make use of our money off voucher from collecting stamps and monthy free cocktail. My wife and I had a superb lunch today at the Brookmans Park Miller & Carter restaurant. Our host Diane was amazing, guided us through all the menu options and offered recommendations, nothing was too much trouble for her. Every aspect of our visit was excellent, cannot wait to return.

Visited Miller and Carter Brookmans park after hearing rave reviews for a birthday celebration. Was not disappointed. Absolutely loved the fillet steak- perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. T-bone was huge and delicious. My puddings was the best for me- the biscof torte. The cocktails were amazing. Great value with the ' steak and cocktail' deal. My son is gluten free and the menu had a great selection. He got the full rack of ribs and again they did not disappoint. 10/10 for the whole meal. Absolutely lovely

15 of us came for dinner tonight. Service was a little slow to start but then Lauren took over and was absolutely perfect. Very attentive and patient with our large group. We know we can hit a bit much so she was fantastic. Thanks to her. It changed how we felt about the night. Food was spot on. Steaks all cooked perfectly.

Our server, Kate, was very welcoming, friendly and attentive throughout. We had the Sunday Sharing Board and it was delicious. There was an excellent amount of food for the cost. The restaurant is clean and well spaced out. All in all my friend and I had a very enjoyable experience. Thank you!

Crispy dosas, fluffy vadas, generous servings, and a never-ending supply — this unlimited dosa and vada experience is a must-try for anyone who loves authentic South Indian flavors. Service was quick, friendly, and surprisingly attentive — they made sure my plate was never empty for long. It’s the kind of place where you walk in hungry and roll out happy (and maybe a little too full!).

Extremely Disappointed – Biryani Was All Bones, No Meat and Have no respect on Guest the Lady who take orders and served. We were excited to try this place for the first time and ordered the lamb biryani. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge letdown. The dish consisted mostly of rice and lamb bones, with barely any meat to be found. It felt like we were served leftovers or scraps, which is unacceptable for a paid meal. We expected a hearty, flavourful biryani with tender lamb pieces, but instead, we received a box of rice with bones. This is not what was advertised, and it certainly doesn’t meet the standard one would expect from a restaurant. We won’t be ordering from here again and cannot recommend it to others.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. We tried the chicken biryani, cut mirchi, tea, and egg fried rice, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on, and the dishes were freshly prepared. The chicken biryani was flavorful with perfectly cooked rice, the cut mirchi had just the right amount of spice, and the tea was a comforting addition to the meal. The egg fried rice was well-seasoned and satisfying. Excellent food and a pleasant dining experience overall!”

Disappointing Experience - Not Fresh and Made Me Sick I had a very unpleasant experience at flavours of Hyderabad. I ordered the chicken coriander curry and fried rice around 8 30 pm was dining in , it looked alright but the food didn’t taste fresh , it had a strange, off taste. And I took the rest food as take away After I went home, within hours, I started feeling nauseous. By midnight, I vomited multiple times & had stomach ache , and felt weak and uncomfortable. It was a horrible night, and I regret eating there Before throwing away the take away box I’ve took a pic of it ,This entire experience has made me lose trust in their food quality. I won’t be returning, and I advise others to think twice before dining here !!!!

Masala Dosa is simply delicious & massive! Chicken biryani’s medium is spicy enough & it’s the best I’ve had - chicken on bone & fluffy rice!

Never felt like giving a zero, but SIMMON HATFIELD TOWN CENTRE DESERVES IT This is absolutely irritating for an order to be sent like this. The order of two branches has never sent a meal wrong and is looking miserable. The uncooked sausage roll just made it worse, Simmons Sort this out within the two centres as this isn't great

I am here today and the service by the tattooed employee was very poor. I've worked at countless hospitality industries but have never turned my face at a customer. They literally walked away non chalant after asking if we've been served. Where is the greeting or smile? There's still 2 hours to close and they're already grumpy. Coffees weren't even warm, let alone hot.

Went to buy some food, no customers at the tills , they told me they can't serve me as they serve someone else 🫤, ??? Went to next till, they ignored me completely, the gossip was more important.. I am guessing they don't want my money... Never again! Usually I don't leave reviews but this behaviour was rude....

Totally wrong place for some of the workers. She been confused and unprofessional. Through the coffee on my table with out tell me where is the sugar and spoon to mix the coffee , small portion for 7.99£ English breakfast .2 sausages. 1 fried egg, 2 bacon beans and mushroom+ 1 large latte . And 1 large doorstep toast . If you’re hungry needs 2 portions. They’re portion it’s half size like anywhere else.

All the breads are so fresh, yumm and satisfying. I am glad that they recently introduced the plant based milk options (oat milk). Can't wait to have another breakfast/brunch here. Finally, I just miss those chocolate truffles they used to make.

Food is always good here. Always piping hot and quality is very good. Always have had friendly staff every time I've been. Belgian bun is massive and very filling. Only thing I would say and i would give it 5 stars if not for this but is it is a bit pricey and do charge for sitting in but I've never had a bad bit of food here

Absolutely rubbish. The toppings are joke thing. We bought a meaty supreme from St Alban's branch and it was great but I bought same pizza at the Hatfield branch and it was joke. More like we beg for.

Today food was so bad for some reason. Looks like delivery person took a slice and dropped the pizza on the way.

Customer service in Hatfield is appalling. Saturday 30/08/25 @ 18:49: I called the branch to adjust my order. Irrespective of how many times I repeated my requirements, the “customer service” representative kept repeating different requirements! She then asked me to place the order online, call back and reconfirm my requirements as she had too many orders and was too busy to stay on hold whilst I placed the order. I place the order online and then call back at 18:52 to advise that the order has been placed and reconfirm my requirements. The gentleman who answers is once again abrupt and ends the call shortly. I then go to collect the pizza and the order is wrong. Rather than listening, the female customer service representative is adamant that she has taken the order correctly. Another male representative joins the conversation and then chooses to update me that nothing can be done, my request is outside the remit (rather than refusing to take the order in the first instance or charge more if necessary); he then tells me that the stress is not worth it for the price paid and that they are too busy for this; he then goes further to add that “you people” create problems. Not sure “which people” he has classed me under. Completely unacceptable. I ordered pizza for my children who have very different requirements AND it is completely ok to say that you cannot accommodate my requirements. What is COMPLETELY unacceptable is to get my order entirely wrong and have the odacity to defend your mistake. I expect more from multinational organisation. Franchise or not, standards should be the same!

There a lot of pizza restaurant, fast foods and services. One that remains different in the competition is Pizza hut, and this branch of pizza hut stays true to the tradition. The taste of the pizza they cook is exactly what you'll expect and they deliver (you can also collect) on time

A small local coubtry pub with some walking routes around that you can explore by scanning a QR code. Foods only served from 12-2pm. Very surprised with the prices being so reasonable and they have guest ales and cider. Well worth a visit

A very traditional country pub and a great one at that! One large bar with two rooms off it, plus a large beer garden to the side. No frills decor but a homely and friendly place. The two ‘regular’ ales at the time of my visit were Greene King IPA and Abbot Ale; the latter was excellent. Three guest ales were also on at the time. No food served on a Sunday but still packed with regulars and walkers. Food on every other day is home made soup and sandwiches; simple but good quality. Most definitely worth a visit.

We stumbled upon this amazing pub with the friendliest patrons and best staff when cycling past it. In summer the garden and view is gorgeous when and winter brings warm log fires with a quaint atmosphere. It is dog friendly with the emphasis on friendly. On Saturdays between 12 and 2pm the kitchen serves the best sandwiches and rolls with its unique fillings of which my family and I have rummaged through all!. The pub also offers soup with a delicious roll and let's not forget the ales, wine and anything a pub has to offer including friendly faces. It is difficult to say how much we spend per head due to the fact that we stay all afternoon into the night as the alcohol is reasonably priced😬

I grabbed a 6 inch spiced plant patty sub at Subway, and it hit the spot. The bread was soft, and the sauce was flavorful. The staff worked quickly, and the place was tidy. Great value for a hearty meal

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE !!!!!!. I had a voucher to get a free kids meal when i buy a footlong so i showed it to the employee and he said yes this offer existed in this particular store, so i proceeded to buy a footlong and waited. i was told to pay by staff before the food was ready so i paid but just then the "manager" (bear in mind had complete customer attire no subway branded clothing) walked in to the counter and scolded the employee that he didn't add the offer to my order and since i paid i was told to come back and get this deal next time. I stood my ground and said you told me before i ordered that this deal was included in this store and now your saying i cant use is after i have paid. Eventually after half an hour of the manager fiddling with the cash register he told me he will include the meal for free as if i was begging for a free meal. The staff were completely unpleasant and rude from the get go speaking in their own language (probably about me).

Worse subway, very dirty setup, when they’re adding salad options they lean into the sandwich with their body and top goes into the sandwich, never seen anything like it! They hardly toast the sandwich as they all come out soft and cheese is not melted. It’s a franchise and they need to obey with certain standards. What is wrong with this place and its management?!

When we walked in they the staff and their friends were eating dominos ans just chilling. They got the meal deal wrong so we had to pay extra money. Very incompetent

We ordered a selection subs for our training day lunch, the food was exceptional! Arjun was so helpful when placing the order, making sure we were getting exactly what we wanted! Great service all round.

Worst subway I have ever been in. The main reason for a very low rating was due to the rude and very miserable female member of staff, also the tables had food all over them, but both members of staff clearly thought that it was more important chatting to each other than cleaning tables. Delicious family fun restaurant. Every dish we ordered was amazing! The owner and waitresses are very friendly. Would recommend the set menu for 4 people - great value! Definitely will be coming again. Thanks again from Booth Road!

Absolutely lovely food. Super tasty and plenty of it. Family run business where all the staff are friendly. Highly reccomended just be careful not to over order as portions are very healthy sizes.

I order the beef chow mein and instead got egg fried rice I’ve never had it before and I didn’t like it the dish was quite plain and also the wrong dish, and the dry barbecue rib is quite plain. Sad to say it was a waste of my money. As nice as it looks it was very plain.

I had ordered from here first time via ‘Just Eat’ and I wasn’t disappointed. Absolutely delicious hot food, early delivery by 25 minutes … on a Friday! Big plus for me was the choice of thick and thin noodles for the chow mien. Not many places does thick, my preferred noodles. Will defaintly order again from here and will be my main go to. Wish I could give more stars!

Absolutely brilliant the food is never burnt, the food tastes just right, the people are friendly and I have been there numerous times with other people. The food takes a while to arrive though but it is understandable and it is compensated by a savoury wonderful dish!!! I highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken with egg fried rice!!!

Extremely disappointing food. I ordered the jacket potato with coleslaw and side salad. The food took 30 minutes to come out and was some of the worst pub food I’ve had in a while. The coleslaw was nasty and the side salad looked super sad (see photo). Would not recommend for food. The cider was tasty, but that’s not their doing really.

Went to see a UB40 Tribute band only to be told it wasn't going ahead as there car wouldn't start not very professional won't be going back there in a hurry

Went here after Slam Dunk festival. They weren't too busy, we got seats and they put music on for us. They were working really hard behind the bar, couldn't have asked for more.

Spent time at this pub last week after a funeral at the local cemetery. I can't praise the staff ( especially Lee) enough for their excellent service and they couldn't be more attentive. They provided a warm , welcoming atmosphere at a very emotional time with excellent food. It was busy fully packed, Price for drink was good, overall very good, thank you

We had a great night here, a friend had returned from Poland so we decided to meet here. Very convenient placement 2 minutes from Hatfield train station. Had a chat with the bar, both very nice people, polite and welcoming. I hadn't been there since my 20's and had been there for my 18th birthday. Sports are shown here with a decent amount of seating, not the biggest place but gives a more intimate feel. They do have seating behind and some out the front. Well worth a visit if you're in the area, or need a place to go out that you can all safely cross a road and be at the train station in no time. Toilets are upstairs, but a disabled one is available at the back opposite the bar.

I wanted to write this review to let others know how wonderful this little pub is! We came across the pub when visiting Hatfield House. We popped in for a drink. The food being served looked so delicious we stayed for dinner!! The staff and other customers were so kind and friendly, its if we had known them all for years! I totally recommend this pub. It is also opposite the train station. You will not be disappointed. Go visit!!

Lovely little pub. No food, best pints of Guinness and beer, toilet upstairs, great staff and football shown. Nice areas to sit outside, and fire on in the winter. Opposite Hatfield rail station and busses.

The food was amazing!! I ordered tandoori king prawns, salmon tikka, chicken tikka and overall everything tasted great. Excellent service and the staff are very helpful. I would definitely come back again 😊

What an absolute joy it was to eat in this establishment the food was authentic and delicious as good a curry as I have eaten anywhere and it is my favorite meal. The service was top notch with them being attentive but not overwhelming, witty and charming. Great pint and great experience, will be definitely going back when in the area.

This is my local and my go-to! Food is always wonderful, service always with a smile and such a friendly team. Recently my daughter turned 13, and I had arranged with Mo for her and a friend to go alone for a meal. This is something she asked for as she loves going there and is always so happy with the food and service. The team looked after them so well they had a fantastic night, and they came out asking when they could do it again (on their own). Their experience was made even more special by being sung Happy Birthday and receiving a special birthday treat. A massive thank you to all at Methi for your amazing food and service! We will be seeing you again soon 😊

Greeted with a huge smile. And we took a while as the menu is quite big but what we chose was excellent. Lovely atmosphere everyone was friendly and seemed to be regulars. Price was very good and we will be back again soon.

Best Indian in Hertfordshire, Mo, Bruno and the rest of the staff are very friendly and provide a great service. Food is always 10/10 and never been let down and have come many many times. Make sure to go on the Wednesday to take advantage of their meal deal if you love getting value for your money.

The food was delicious, I really enjoyed eating my meal. However, my evening was ruined by various other customers using their mobile phones at full volume, one right behind us watching TV without headphones, one listening to various social media videos at full volume and a third person listening to some sort of screaming video which we could hear from the other side of the room. It’s so sad that this has become acceptable in a restaurant. Again, the food was really tasty, and the service was very friendly. But the other customers ruined it for us.

First time last night. Lovely food, atmosphere was great and the staff were fabulous, really nice fellas. Madras, cauliflower bhaji, peas pilau rice, beautiful.

We visited Mitsi Tavernaki yesterday and from the minute we stepped in felt the warmth and appreciated the friendly welcome. Great service and the food was nothing short of amazing. My son is a bit fussy when it comes to souvlakia but said his chicken souvlakia were by far the best he'd had. I tried a piece and he was right. So soft and flavoursome. I had a mixed pork and sheftalia kebab. Big portions and so tasty. The tahini, tzatziki and chips were all delicious too. Added bonus was the traditional Greek music playing. Felt right at home. Only downside is I wish we lived closer but only 30 minutes away and our food was still warm when we got home. Will be our monthly treat. Highly recommend.

What can I say. I’ve ordered a few times from this little gem of a restaurant and I’ve not been disappointed. Today I ordered a lamb Kleftico with Cypriot roast potatoes salad and crab salad sides. The lamb just fell off the bone and was extremely flavourful. The roast potatoes were cooked in the meat juices and also very flavourful soft and has a beautiful Mediterranean taste. The salad came with olive oil and a great pot of dressing. Portions were generous. All hot food arrived hot & cold food was properly chilled when it arrived. You pays your money and takes your choice. This is a choice I will definitely make again.

Hands-down my favourite place to eat! The food is absolutely packed with flavour, prepared with real care and top-quality ingredients. Honestly, the best chicken and lamb kebab I’ve ever tasted — seasoned and grilled to perfection. The staff are really welcoming too, which makes the whole experience even better. And the portion sizes? They’re huge! If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out.

We drove over half an hour to eat here and it did not disappoint. The food was so fresh and full of flavour, you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Lovely, friendly service too. We’ll definitely be back!

All I can say about the food is 10/10. The chef, Vasilis is renowned for being one of the best around North London, and in a kebab shop this is the key. Had chicken souvlakia and the salad was fresh, chicken tasty and melt in the mouth. Also had some dips, which were spot on. Can’t wait to go back.

Food took a hour and half to be delivered. Drink was warmer then all of my food. Kebab had a weird taste, pitta was cheap and fell apart , chips have undercooked and cheese tastes cheap and plastic. Though I would try this and will not be trying again

absolutley shocking! ordered off just eat, order comfirmed for a time, no cancellation even after the time aggreed and accepted, no answer from restraunt from the phone even after calling multiple times, now saying restraunt closed.... even though i have an order accepted,.... time keeps changing. absolute joke of a fast food place! Had a kebab & chips last night. Chips were awful and all the burnt ends and when my partner came to pay for the food we wanted to pay by card, he told us £30 by card or £20 by cash luckily he had cash on him, but also another lady was there said she had no cash and would go somewhere else so charged her the correct price on card but tried charging us another £10!! Do not order from here!! Scam artists!

The worst kebab ever . Chicken Shih kebab is slice chicken breast not Shish . We ordered for one garlick sauce and we get both spicy. Salad with one slices of tomato and marinated only in vinegar-disgusting.
