This was our second time visiting this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Friendly staff, beautiful food and lots to choose from.

Absolutely stunning Indian Restaurant with takeaway available. We've had a takeaway from here previously and it was brilliant so we decided to try their dine-in option and we were not disappointed! We ordered a decent spread across the menu and were extremely satisfied with portion size, flavours and service. A* across the board, plus Kingfisher beer on draft is always a winner! Cannot recommend enough, easily one of the best I've ever eaten at, we will be back. Highly Recommended.

Really lovely food and very nice people with great service. I remember the premises many years ago as a Chinese restaurant but this place lived up to my memories of a great restaurant. Thank you for making me feel so welcome.

Others were ordering a takeaway so I added something to share. The chicken tandoori was very dry, some parts bordering on inedible, and like the curries I sampled was extremely bland I’m sorry to say. Don’t like to leave a negative review but it reminds me why it’s better to cook at home in all honesty. Missing items too.

Great pub, food is excellent, lots of choice. The poached cod in a cheese and prawn sauce and the cannelloni are my favourites. Meals are always really tasty and good value. Plus old school puds choices. They are dog friendly which is a must for us. Staff are always really welcoming. Top choice.

This is a fabulous place to go too . The food 10/10 service and staff were amazing people and Chris the landlord absolutely Gent they were rushed off their feet and packed but still made room for us and Atmosphere brilliant. Fantastic value

I don't often write reviews but had to write one for this lovely pub as we couldn't find fault with anything. We visited on Saturday night for a spur of the moment meal out and have to say the food was the best we have tasted anywhere in a long time. The menu was big and varied with loads to choose from, including plenty of great vegetarian and vegan options which is a priority for me being vegetarian and there was lots of homemade and old school classics which my husband really enjoyed. The service was amazing, food came out quickly, the staff were friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere really good. It was by far the best place we have eaten out in a long time and will definitely return again soon.

We booked an early evening meal, as it was my husband's birthday. We hadn't been there before, so thought we'd give it a try. The menu is good, plenty of choice. Reasonably priced. There was also a lower cost for some sweets, if you had a half serving, which suited us, as you don't really need a large sweet, after a meal. The staff were all friendly, and my husband even got a free drink, with it being his birthday! Lovely atmosphere, even most of the guests were friendly and said hello. We will definitely go there again, and we would recommend it to others.

Easily 11 out of 10. What a truly wonderful Inn, such a genuine friendly welcome. The food is outstandingly good proper home cooked tasty quality delicious food. The menu is great. It shows how great this Inn is that the locals drink and eat here. The atmosphere was smashing. Big thank you to all for a lovely time 🥇👍

Passed this pub some years ago but never visited. Was not disappointed tonight when visiting with family. Cod in cheese sauce with prawns, special Thai red curry (salmon & prawn). With a children’s meal and chicken goujons. Food excellent along with the service and lovely atmosphere.

We had a very nice meal here on 17th Sept 2025. At first, we thought the service was slow, but when the food arrived, we came to realise that it had just been cooked completely fresh. The food was excellent. Portions were large, too, which was a change from where we live. Prices were great, and the service from the staff was without fault. The building itself, like so many in Lincolnshire, has a history, giving it a very evocative atmosphere. Brilliant.

Amazing, cozy and friendly. The staff were all.so happy and friendly, all seemed to genuinely enjoy being there and talking to you. The place is lovely inside and out for either a quick bite, larger lunch or maybe just a glass of wine. The food was incredible all round and the cakes for dessert were amazing and plenty to choose from. Highly recommend and we will be back again soon.

Tea House In The Woods, what a great little spot just around the corner from the Kinema in Woodhall Spa. Greeted by the very friendly staff members on entering the Tea House, we chose a perfect little spot at the front under the veranda. After choosing our order and within 10-15 mins or so of ordering we had our drinks and food. Absolutely delicious. Look forward to coming again in the near future. Cracking little place.

Visited the Tea House in the Woods yesterday for the first time and it was a totally unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived every single member of staff went over and above - the service and the food were outstanding. Will definitely return.

We had such a lovely visit to Tea House in the Woods. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They were especially lovely with our one year old, which made the experience even more enjoyable and relaxed. The atmosphere was calm and cosy, and the food and drinks were delicious. A really wonderful spot. We will definitely be back.

Bright open airy restaurant with lots of seating indoor and outside The resteraunt was full at first so was a little noisy but not unbearable and at first the service was good. Unfortunately by desert the service became quite haphazard and we gave up on cake The food however was fantastic with good menu options and portion sizes all served piping hot Tables are easy to book online and the local car parks are free after 6

Last Saturday night was our first time at Zucci's and it will not be our last . Having wanted to come here for a while we finally managed it and was very happy with the outcome. The food is excellent the service and the staff are excellent and the décor & atmosphere is spot on . Portion's are about as you want them not massive but not small either , just enough so you can squeeze desert in after your main . So well done all at Zucci keep up the good work and we'll be back soon .

Great staff. Fantastic food. And a manager with a great staff and work ethic. All staff from back of house to front are treated the same, which is refreshing to see. I went in twice once for dinner and next for takeaway. Food quality was always brilliant. My daughter went in and also had a great experience..

We ate at this wonderful restaurant the other week for my birthday and my god was it worth it! The staff were fabulous, so attentive, polite, friendly and welcoming which made it all the more amazing. This impeccable service was a lovely addition to what can only be described as an incredible meal. The food was out of this world! The quality of the food was unreal and the portions are fabulous for the money! We loved it so much I’m heading back tonight for my partners birthday! I just hope more people find out about this gem and keep supporting it!

Awful experience, from start to finish we just had a really disappointing visit. We used to visit regularly but haven’t been in over 12 months and I can honestly say we won’t return. I visited with my mum and two young children, one of whom has a dairy allergy. We were able to order a vegan version of the children’s pizza, at which I thought “great”, the food took 40 minutes to arrive and when it did both children’s meals were vegan. My eldest, who does not have an allergy would definitely not eat vegan cheese, and this wasn’t what we had ordered anyway but the waitress said she would “see what she could do”, which I found odd when the mistake had been on the restaurant’s part. So we waited again, another 10 minutes and a normal pizza arrived. We were then offered the usual Parmesan cheese. When the waitress arrived she proceeded to reach across the table, including my young son with a dairy allergy and sprinkle the cheese across the table, including him and all over his pushchair. My son put his hands straight in the cheese, and obviously at this point panic ensued as he could have become really unwell had he eaten any. We were really upset about this, and when we made the manager aware her reaction was defensive and really bizarre just repeatedly asking us “what we would like her to do about the situation”. Obviously making young and inexperienced staff aware of the importance of allergies would have been the appropriate response. We asked for the bill, without any one of us finishing our meal, and when this arrived the waitress thew it down on the table. We didn’t have the children’s desert which was paid for as part of their meal deal, however we weren’t offered it either, and just could not wait to leave the restaurant. I’ve not left a restaurant so disappointed before, and sad that my young child could have been left unwell above all else.

Party of 6 The manager catered for us even though we hadn't booked and they were clearly very busy and we are so glad they did. The food here is fantastic, all our dishes were delicious, fresh and full of flavour, the pizza I had was one of the best wood fires pizzas I've ever had. All table members agreed that and we booked to come back tomorrow for the Sunday menu. We eat out alot and always remain reserved when reading reviews, rest assured the food, service and atmosphere at Zucci is fantastic. 5/5 on everything.

Food was ok, particularly the garlic pizza bread with cheese. The restaurant is exploitative however in its engagement of teenage serving staff at the lower minimum wage level with staff striving, not always subtly, for tips to bring their wage level up. If you must employ such staff pay them a decent wage level rather than just the bare minimum.

Found this great this little cafe during our road trip. I enjoyed the Oat Cortado and cakes! 🍰 ☕️ Coffee was 10/10. 👌🏽 Friendly team and locals.

I ordered a Flat White coffee, and it was first class, made by the lady that served me, she has now created a new level of excellence. I also tried one of the Chizzo sausage rolls, magnificent ! highly recommended 👌

Great selection of cakes - I had the hummingbird cake and it was delicious. My friend is also slightly obsessed with their hazelnut latte, and I can recommend the cappuccino. Nice little weekend treat.

Great coffee. Probably not the cheapest in Woodhall but worth it

One of the best coffees I've ever had! A great selection of cakes and pastries and a delicious chorizo sausage roll! Friendly staff and nice to sit outside even in the rain as we were covered by the canopy. Definitely recommend a visit!

Awesome and interesting food selection and great coffee served by charming staff set in a small but charming seating area. The brunch is a must at the weekend but be warned it will be busy so go early. We haven't tried the tapas on the Friday or Saturday evening but will shortly. This place has a great atmosphere, lovely strong coffee, fantastic tasting food and most importantly friendly, helpful staff.

What a fantastic place in the heart of Woodhall Spa to grab a bite to eat, or relax with a drink. The staff were fantastic, and the food was superb. I went for the Full English Breakfast and was surprised by the quality of the ingredients. Of note were the sausages, and the eggs 👌 Competitive prices and an overall great food option within the local community.

Popped in for some takeout breakfast sandwiches , food was ok but £9 for two breakfast rolls seemed a bit steep , one BES and one BT. Sausage and bacon was average quality . Will probably try somewhere different next time as there are lots of pubs and cafes nearby. Service seemed polite, no other customers were present during my wait for the food to be prepared

I have visited the cafe annually and have not been disappointed on any of my visits. The staff are friendly, polite and go the extra mile for you. It's a lovely village cafe.

Absolutely fantastic. Food was a very generous portion, with vegetarian options/substitutes which was brilliant for the wife. Dog friendly and all round fantastic little cafe. Very well priced as well. Will be definitely visiting again.

What an amazing little cafe, although very busy we were seated by lovely attentive staff to a very clean table and given a menu. We didn't wait long for our fabulous food the panini that my wife had looked gorgeous and she verified it tasted it too, I had an amazing ploughman's lunch WOW is all I can say, and the cuppa tea was served in a proper teapot 🫖. Then we spoiled ourselves with the homemade ice cream OMG there are no words gorgeous and so many flavours. The cake selection was huge soooo many. The whole experience was brilliant, friendly staff and management, couldn't do enough to accommodate us. Thank you for making our first visit to your beautiful town a memorable one, we will definitely come back and use your services. An asset to the town.

Beautiful little cafe, packed full of customers due to the fantastic food, atmosphere and price. We ate in as a family of four and despite it being extremely busy, they cleared a table immediately after they left so we could eat in without a reservation. We ordered at the counter and within 20 minutes had tasty, fresh food! Would seriously recommend due to its decent prices for amazing food, great staff, great menu choices and a nice cosy place to eat. Place was spotlessly clean, lovley toilets, beautiful decor, the ice cream and cakes looked scrumptious and we were so pleased with our time here.

Great food and very good price. Went here for the first time and will be back when in the area. We had breakfast, but definitely want to come back and try the lunch menu, as the options looks so tasty.

This is our go to for breakfast and on occasional lunches. Love the setting in the traditional English town of Woodhall Spa. The location means its normally very easy to park. Staff are friendly and welcoming, food is excellent and good value. Both inside and outside seating for the kinder weather conditions.

Nipped for breakfast, the full English was amazing. Good quality thick cut bacon, delicious sausages all cooked to perfection, the staff were accommodating, we initially sat outside, but there were a lot of wasps, we asked to come inside and it was no issue. I will be coming back to try the lunch menu.

Lovely food and drinks here - the cake selection is vast and my black forest selection was beautiful. A tad pricey (£6.95 for soup of the day / sandwiches £8-10 approx) and kitchen / ordering area is a bit chaotic; table service would be better in my opinion. Had to wait a while, however it was very busy. Nice on a quieter weekday, I imagine. Worth a try if you are visiting the village!

Appalling. The chips were okay but the fish was dreadful. Thick, uncooked batter that was so soggy and uncooked you could peel it off in one. So disappointed. How hard can it be to fry a piece of fish?

I so wanted this to be all 5 stars! The staff and service was fantastic. The chips were good, as were the peas too, but unfortunately, when having fish and chips, it was batter and chips. The fish was very thin and also tasteless, I even had to put ketchup on to drown the thick batter. I love my fish and chips, but these weren't very good, sorry !

Terrible fish and chips I have experienced to date. Greasy and a small portion. Asked for a fish and chips and was given the oldest soggiest fish ever. They didn’t even ask if I wanted cod or haddock. They just gave me haddock. The bun was flaky and not fresh at all. Very stale. Fish was oily and soggy. Still feel sick writing this review. Wish I never bothered. Chips were not crispy at all. I had to bite the fork to experience some crispiness.

Updating review, was never my favourite chippy in the area but went today and gosh it's expensive now. £5.70 for small sausage, small chips and curry sauce.... Half the chips undercooked and batter on sausage soggy... Ok things have gone up, but atleast compete with local businesses in the area

Food was OK, however selling pop designed for little children that is 5 months out of date is unacceptable, especially when the date has been actively scratched to try hide the fact it's out of date. Do the RIGHT thing and throw them out review written. 17/4/25. Pop bottle dated NOV 2024

Oh wow 👌 perfect fish and chips, added salt and vinegar oh wow well worth the visit. Went to Woodhall Spa wasn't sure if there was a fish and chip shop so googled and only 3 mins on foot. So pleased to find it. Great service from the ladies. 9.50 for medium haddock and chips. Beautiful.

Decor a little dated but it was clean and the owner and staff were very friendly. We had a good cup of tea and excellent coffee with a generous portion of delicious fresh baked cake - of which there was a really nice selection to choose from (and mostly gluten free). Garden seating area basic but nice. The cafe was recommended to us for hot food and sandwiches although we didn't have on this occasion. Very reasonably priced and on a par with similar cafes.

We first came last week for lunch which was absolutely lovely so thought we would try breakfast this morning . And of course we wasn’t disappointed it was beautiful could not fault anything. working with in the catering business ourselves it’s had to eat out as we have high expectations but the Melrose Cafe definitely stands up to our expectations would definitely recommend this place 😍

Tried this place for the first time, ordered two dishes plus egg fried rice prawn crackers. When we got it home it was lukewarm nearly cold we only live a mile away. The food itself had mixed reviews the special chow mein was anything but special next to no meat no vegetables just a few shrimp that was dry and chewy noodles overcooked very little sauce nearly dry. The special kung po was passable. The egg fried rice was dreadful the prawn crackers tasteless. My advice go elsewhere because this place is terrible can't quite see how it's rated above a 3

Absolutely appalling! Overcharged and sent away with wrong order. Upon reporting issue told to bring it back, which I did…. Other customer walked straight out with what I returned. Them left with what I thought was correct order to return home to find items missing. Upon calling to report issue told that I had what I ordered and that was the end of it! Customer service zero!!!!! Overcharged, under delivered!

Usually ok, two criticisms the sweat and sour sauce on the Cantonese chicken needs to be more as the egg fried rice can be dry without the sauce. Also the barbecue spare ribs, the sauce should be more sticky like traditional spare ribs. Maybe bring in a delivery service would help customers also.

Tried for first time tonight with a mixed review from the household. Chow mein dish was lovely as were the chips, however the lemon chicken was chewy, stringy and hard to cut.

Good tasting food. However they missed one of our dishes off the order. Phoned up to get a refund for the missing dish, but they could only refund if we returned to the shop. We therefore ask them to make us the dish. Slight inconvenience, but these things happen. No big drama.

Won't be going back. Used to frequent Golden Phoenix but it's gradually been going downhill. They regularly don't pick up the phone when you try and order - I often have to travel there to order and then wait - only to be told I should have phoned first! 😮‍💨 I've had a plethora of issues ranging from stingy portions, incorrect change, unwillingness to adapt to dietary preferences, rude staff (presume owners, normally front desk is OK). The final straw was my last order included a quarter duck, I got home to discover this wasn't included in the package. I called them and they suggested I was either lying or had dropped the foil package containing the duck (how exactly would you drop something that was in a bag with everything else?). There was a gentleman collecting his order right before me, so I expect they put it in his bag by mistake. They agreed to provide me with another quarter duck, but I was already home with the rest of the food and it's about a 20 minute round trip for me. We ate the food and then I returned to collect a paltry sized package, which when unwrapped wasn't even shredded or taken off the bone or skin, it was just a hunk of meat and wasn't that appetising. They outright refused that they had made a mistake and tried to blame it on me. Even if it was my fault, what's the point in upsetting your customers? I won't be returning any time soon.

Ordered by phone 5 items, all of which were vegetarian, but when I got home I found ribs and prawn crackers, instead of sweet and sour vegetables. This is the 2nd time from the last 3 visits that they have sent food we can't even eat. Definitely won't be going back and would not recommend them at all.

We did not stay at the hotel but we used the bar facilities for food and drinks whilst staying on a local campsite. The food was very good, the staff were very friendly. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning with lovely grounds to walk around and the bar stays open until 11 pm, also is dog friendly, highly recommended.

Me and my family stayed at the Petwood for my wedding (wedding not at the Petwood). The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious. The hotel itself is beautiful but there was a few things to pick up on…Firstly my grandparents were put on the very top floor, where they had to walk up a steep set of stairs and when they asked for help with their bags they were told no and to ask part of their party (in a hotel like this you’d think staff could help with bags) also the room I was staying in the radiator was on full blast in the bathroom and when I asked if it could be turned off I was told no when all the other rooms it was off! Baring in mind it was 25 degrees, it’s ridiculous that the heating can’t be turned off, some staff didn’t seem like they wanted to help unfortunately.

We recently had our wedding at the Petwood Hotel, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The venue is absolutely stunning — the building has real character and the gardens are beautifully kept, creating a perfect setting for the day. The staff were incredible from start to finish. They were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful — no request was too much, and they made sure everything ran smoothly without ever feeling overbearing. It really felt like they cared about making the day special for us. Our guests kept commenting on how lovely the place was and how well looked after they felt. We felt the same — completely relaxed and supported throughout. It wasn’t just a stay, it was one of the most important days of our lives, and the Petwood made it truly memorable. We’re so grateful to the whole team!

Beautiful setting and grounds, but that’s it! Noone on reception and left to navigate your own way around to find staff. Let down by staff, as we were greeted with a “hi guys” at the bar and no knowledge of how to address a customer. Restaurant floor needed a good hoover, very shabby when you look closely and in need of a makeover. Food, very little of it. A rack consisted of two small chops for £30 A sirloin steak was a tough rump for £35 A third choice of dessert, wish we hadn’t bothered, was not worthy of a mention. Better quality and value at a local pub or cafe. Toilets resembled those of my old school days. Again, a much needed makeover. If it’s location, this is the place. For anything else, I would not recommend.

Came here with my boyfriend for the night and had the 3 course dinner meal which was amazing the gardens and rooms were beautiful.Breakfast in the morning was perfect. Also the dam busters rooms were really interesting too. We will definitely be back again great for a romantic break.

A beautiful old hotel, full of history and wonderful gardens to walk around. The food is good too. In the less formal part of the restaurant, they have boardgames available for people to play which is really good. They don't rush you away, it's a lovely place to relax on the comfy couches and take your time over a drink, and just enjoy the company.

Room was clean and comfortable. Sausages at breakfast were pink in the middle. Went for a walk around the grounds which appear lovely at a distance, but up close lack care and attention. Pond was overgrown with Lillie's, cigarette buts littering some paved areas. The hotel appears to be predominately staffed by people of an average age of around 18. The Sunday afternoon on the terrace was lovely in the sun enjoying the entertainment and some drinks. The food being bought out looked and smelled lovely, although we did not eat.

The first time at the Mall for Sunday dinner and it was ok . The staff are always friendly and there's always a nice atmosphere here . For me there was a touch to much gravy on my plate but the Mrs likes hers swimming in gravy so that's just a personal choice. The only minus for us both was the extra cauliflower cheese at four pounds . The smallest portion we've ever had , I'm sure I'm not the first person to think where the rest of it is lol . So if your thinking about trying the Mall , yes it's worth a visit.

Popped in tonight for a bite to eat! The service was exceptional - so nice to see these days! We opted for the two course meal at £17 (Mon- Thurs) we both had the steak & ale pie which was really tasty. My friend opted for the Baileys donut for dessert and in her words ‘it was obscene’ she practically inhaled it - I opted for the chocolate orange dessert with coconut ice cream - the ice cream was to die for! Will definitely be back! 👍👍

Went in for dinner and drinks while on holiday - the food was great, especially the desserts. The value is excellent - food and drink prices are very good.

We booked a table for 4 people( me, daughter and 2 young grandchildren) August bank holiday Saturday early evening. Despite the restaurant being extra busy, the table was ready. A very young group of staff were working so well as a team to serve people quickly and with a smile. The food was great and we were checked on to make sure everything was ok. So lovely to see such a great team spirit ( although they must have been paddling really hard under the surface). Well done to you all and thank you.

We came for Sunday dinner, we had booked. People had finished eating before other people had arrived. Most of the food tasted and looked like it had been cooked in a microwave. My friend’s chicken was extremely over cooked. The menus online states sides that were no wear to be seen.The atmosphere was nice but over all wasn’t a nice meal and the menu was very miss leading and was disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend!!

We visit on a regular basis and always have eaten and never had any problems, however today was a complete waste of money I’m afraid we both had fish and chips no tartar sauce had to ask for it, waitress needs more training of how to interact with customers, no front of house for guidance for her so not her fault, fish was way over cooked mushy peas cold and chips were still quite hard, was never asked if everything was ok at any point either. Hubby went to the toilet and came back and said the men’s toilets were absolutely filthy which is very unusual for him so must have been bad, sorry won’t be coming back which is a shame after nearly 10 years of visiting 😢

Food was good and honest, we took our dog and was seated in the sports bar. Service was great, the pub wasn't overly busy considering the size of the venue.

Called in here 24th October. Been before, love their steak pie, best ever. Drinks and food reasonably priced. Dog friendly. When I had a BandB in Woodhall Spa about 15 years ago, this pub was the “in place”. You always had to book and most of my guests visited. The pub is up for sale and, if I was 15 years younger, would be interested. Although a period pub, in need of sympathetic updating. A mixture of old and new.

We popped into here on way back to the campsite. It was Sunday and only doing Sunday lunches, yet when I asked about a ploughmans for my wife, (I had the wonderful Roast Beef,) they went over and above to provide her with our request. Great ales and great atmosphere, well done. Would recommend 100%

Not been here for a number of years but heard they serving food again. Friendly staff, warm welcome with attentive service. Had fresh haddock and chips. Fish most definitely fresh lovely and white cooked to perfection. Food was great. I must congratulate then on the male loos, modern clean more like out 5* hotel. Live local will be back but definitely a local eatery worth a revisit. Fair pricing too !

Called in twice on our week in the village. Opening hours need updating on the web, as we almost missed out on a pint! But we made it just in time😊. Very nice traditional pub and dog friendly

We were staying at the campsite next door to this pub decided to pop in for a drink x as soon as we walked in the food smelled amazing x we had drinks served by a lovely polite barman x reasonably priced then I hit us dogs everywhere in both sections of the pub a table of 8 people had a fluffy dog sat on a chair feeding it x omg revolting I couldn't think of anything worse around food x so it's safe to say we didn't order food x seriously if you have to have dogs around food inside at least have a designated area xx not ok x

We ate and drank heartily at the Ebrington Arms. Wide range of great beers on tap, serving traditional English comfort food. We were staying nearby at Stockmans Cottage, Woodhall Spa and our host AJ remarked that there were not many traditional pubs like this left in the area, so we made sure to drop in. Kirkby on Bain is ideally located just the other side of an adjacent field from the cottage, so guests are able to walk to the pub without having to drive, which means another (and another) round of pints for all!

Very pleasant hotel situated perfectly to walk around the main high street and areas of interest. We had a family room which was massive! Comfortable and quiet. Would definitely visit again on our next golf trip!

Great service and lovely food. Very popular, so can get busy but every time we visit we are well looked after. Menu has some great options and it is good value for money.

Overall , not great. We had food here and decided to sit inside. The decor leaves a lot to be desired. Tatty and looking old , very stark and for such a nice looking building, there is no personalty inside. Doesn't feel cosy or welcoming. The staff look like they don't care , not smiling or chatting to customers. The food was just OK. I'm GF , so there were some options and I decided on a chicken salad which was OK. No offer of GF bread etc.. It's a tired looking place , but OK. Not the best place in the area.

I and my family used to come here regular for the steak roll on the Saturday but since rescuing a dog there is no dog friendly in the bar area so have to sit outside. The weather is an issue and the last few times the service has been slow. Sorry but moved on to another local that accept dogs and better service.

Nice looking venue but the food was a bit of a let down. For the price you pay you expect a bit more quality and cooked a lot better than what it is. Steak not cooked properly, burgers over cooked among other things. Funny enough they have nailed the vegetarian dish. Staff was friendly enough but the overall experience was meh. Can't comment on the rooms because i didn't have accommodation there.

Large beer garden with a large play area so good for a drink in the sun. Shame about the drunk, shirtless idiots that decided to go on the play area. Be nice if they also offered some local ales on tap rather than just generic lagers.

We only had a drink in here, so I don't want to affect the overall rating, but there was plenty of room and food coming out looked very good. It was very pleasant.

Wow - we came based on the reviews we had read, looking for a family friendly meal out in the local area. The sheer value for money and the prompt service will make us come back. Three courses x2, large glass of red x2, one kiddy plain pasta, soft drink and an ice cream all came to a very reasonable £75. We had the specials for starters (nice) and one pizza and pasta dish to try, both of which were tasty, satisfying and hit the spot. I’d highly recommend this place - it’s unpretentious, fab value for money and well located.

Really great! We came for my Mum's birthday lunch and weren't disappointed. Food was excellent, nice ambience, great service. Plenty of choices for the 2 vegetarians in our group. Desserts were also really very good.

Excellent establishment. Food very nice. Good portions. Tidy facilities. Service is impeccable — the staff are wonderful; for example, the local village nuclear physicist works here. Ask him about his interest in astrology.

We visited on 28th May with our 9 year old daughter. Service was fantastic, our server was knowledgeable about the menu and recommended one of the specials which was beautiful. No kids menu, but they do smaller versions of the main meals which was spot on for us- our daughter had a smaller calzone and loved it. We had salmon special and ribs from the main menu. Both were excellent. Desserts were lovely- pistachio cheesecake and crumble plus ice cream. We went on a Wednesday and it was not too busy and the atmosphere lovely. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.

Great food & service. Always friendly staff who helped with any questions. Chilli oil is a must! One of the waiters is an astrophysicist and explained what my star sign (Virgo) really meant. Recommended to ask for a reading next time you’re in. Top place!

Amazing food, superb service, owner went out of his way to get us a table. This place never disappoints always total satisfaction.

Can definitely count on large portion sizes if all you're looking for is to get full fast or a late night post-drinks meal, but the lamb doner kebabs we ordered were more of a 'deconstructed kebab bowl 'in a box, with a random small square of paper inside the box which got damp, half dissolved and stuck to the bread. Didn't enjoy picking it out of the food, person that ate the 2nd kebab didn't enjoy the fact they ate some of it with the bread before realising it's even there.

Sorry but the food is dreadful, chicken kebab tastes like water, like co op chicken you’ve added nothing to and sell it as a chicken kebab. Go to any big city and learn what a kebab is.

Chips were bland , pizza had very little cheese or pepperoni, kebab was sliced so thin it was see through.top it all with speaking in their language then laughing . Not nice ,or polite .. do better.

Delicious pizza, still piping hot upon delivery, would definitely get again.

U can pay by card but thay don't like ot after 10 pm food not all that thay are very picky who pays by card don't know why and thay will not talk in English u don't know what thay say about you not good

Great food would definitely return for a mixed kebab.

First time going here, arrived at about 14:10hrs, it closes at 15:00hrs.... Lovely place clean and plenty of seating outside and inside. We had been on the road a while and was looking forward for a cuppa and a bite to eat, but had to settle for just a cuppa as was informed they stop serving cooked food at 14:00hrs, well was offered cakie things but was hoping for a butty, so just a cuppa we had, I was unable to spot were it said that they stopped cooking at 14:00hrs. I rated 4 stars as it was a lovely ride out there. It did say biker friendly, but we didn't get a smile from the staff 🤔

Wow, what a little gem of a place Great decor inside Went for the big bomber breakfast £11.00 My wife the standard breakfast for £6.00 And a great mug of strong tea for £1.50p This breakfast is huge for the price. Went for the first time today. All staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. They took our order and the drinks came out swiftly and it wasn't a long wait at all for the food. And the food was very yummy and reasonably priced! I had the Breakfast (£6) and my other half had The Big Bomber Breakfast (£11).

We just had sunday dinner at The Ragged Apron, after seeing this place on many videos, we wanted to go and try for ourselves. We had the Fathers Day Lunch, 2 course meal each, my partner had a starter, prawn cocktail then Roast Beef dinner, I had Roast pork dinner then chocolate gateaux for dessert. Amazing meal, excellant quality food & good prices, all the staff were very friendly and would highly recommend this place, easy to find just beyond the centre of Woodhall Spa. We went here after going out walking. Friendly staff who made us feel welcome. We had cheese toasties. The portions were large and very easy on the pocket, I think it worked out around £5 with a soft drink. Would recommend for a value meal. Restaurant felt a bit cramped, this is no fault of the owners, but due to it being an old building.

My wife and I called in for a coffee and snack this morning during a planned ride on the Lincolnshire Water Rail Way cycle route. The service and greeting were excellent and the panini was gorgeous. Good coffee, all at a very reasonable price. Excellent cafe for all manner of occasions, highly recommend keep up the good work, we will be back👍 Ian & Yvonne

Booked for Sunday diner via Facebook messenger received confirmation very quickly. Very good choice of meats the usual beef,chicken pork I think. The food was well presented and tasted great the beef a nice bit of Salmon cut Silverside that I think is the best cut of beef for a Sunday dinner was slowly cooked and you could tell. Plenty of veg that came separately all in all if I was in the area again we would definitely be back and we also did go back for a spot of brunch on another day and took up on there choice of specials that start at 11:30 every day.

Room was a bit cold, although thick curtains they cover the radiators. Lovely shower, and comfy bed. I had an evening meal and breakfast, food was tasty and fresh. Staff were very helpful and checked all OK.

Recently refurbished I believe. Stayed only one night B&B.. Plenty of car parking space. Vast amount of areas on ground floor. Bedrooms a fair size. Hotel seemed very empty, and at times we thought we the only residents there. Breakfast was very good. Staff friendly. Good location.

They staff were very polite. Travelled as a couple but when we got in our room it was set up for 1 person 1 towel, 1 cup in the bathroom, 1 bottle of water and only enough milk coffee and sugar for one. Evening meal was very tasty and worth the money. Beds are comfy. Went down for breakfast toaster hadn't been switched on to warm up not a big fan of buffet breakfasts as food doesn't stay warm enough and I'm only saying that from a professional point of view as I am a breakfast chef. Sausages could have been of better quality.

During our visit to my husband at the hotel, we spent a couple of hours there with the kids. Unfortunately, we accidentally spilled some liquid on the bed, and as a result, the hotel has now banned the company from making future bookings. The level of service was shocking—completely unwelcoming to families. The receptionist was incredibly rude, constantly talking over us and even lying during our conversation. When we tried to book an extra room, she claimed there were no available rooms, yet we found availability on Booking.com. This was by far the worst hotel experience—avoid it at all costs if you're looking for a family-friendly stay!

It was sad to see few people at restaurant.. The meals were very good especially the Sunday dinner with plenty of meat and vegetables, really enjoyed it. The staff were very attentive.. well done.

Spent four days here on biking holiday xx in this beautifully and comfortable Hotel, Room was excellent and all our meals quite superb. Staff always smiling and helpful will certainly will return and recommend to others

From the outside, this countryside hotel looked like a dream—charming stone façade, and a vestibule so grand I half-expected a harpist to start playing. We were welcomed by an exceptionally friendly gentleman at reception, the true star of the establishment and the only reason this review has any stars at all. Sadly, things went downhill faster than a sheep on a slip’n’slide. The room was an unfortunate fusion of the '70s, '90s, and a splash of modern despair—complete with scuffed surfaces, cracked fittings, and more spiders than a haunted forest. Cobwebs adorned every corner like someone got carried away decorating for Halloween. The sheets were decorated with mysterious yellow stains and bonus hair from previous guests. The shower screamed like a dying moped, and thanks to a non-adjustable head, you were left with two options: soak the bathroom floor or stand shivering under an icy cascade while praying for hot water.

Thank you all so much (especially chef) for all the care & attention every single one of you put in, so that my mum could enjoy a simple, beautiful animal friendly lunch yesterday. The weather was with us & it was a heavenly day. Dower House Hotel just gets better as the years pass & you’ll be excited to hear we’ve pledged that we must come more often!! Once again, thank you so much. There is absolutely nothing more your lovely staff (lovely waitress especially) could have done. 10/10 🙏💚❤️

Thank you all to the very attentive front of house staff to the unseen chef’s and kitchen staff that made our Sunday Lunch incredibly memorable. Firstly must say thank you to a recommendation about the food as have been in Woodhall a week and this place never came up on google but what a find! I absolutely loved the old school attention to detail goes a long way in my opinion taking of coats, bringing drinks to table and food being served in white gloves. Sunday lunch was excellent beef cooked to perfection and vegetables just as great. Thank you very much for a wonderful lunch all.

My husband and I are regular visitors to this lovely hotel. We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary there. The meal was exceptional. The food was top quality, and beautifully presented. The staff, led by Carlo are always warm and welcoming. Friendly, efficient and professional. Nothing is too much trouble. The idyllic setting of this wonderful hotel completed the experience perfectly.

My wife and I spent a night here very recently. It is not an overstatement to say that the Dower House is excellent. The house is charming and set in lovely grounds. The staff were most attentive and professional. However, the real joy is the food; it is exquisite and very reasonably priced. I recommend this hotel.

What a wonderful place arrived on Thursday for my daughter's Friday wedding.we set up Thursday early evening then our evening meal the food was Amazing,. Max and all the staff worked very hard and did it with perfection a credit to the place.The grounds and settings are ideal for a perfect wedding we sat out side as it was such a lovey evening.Everyo e had such a good time . Thank you to you all for making our daughter's wedding a day to remember

I started typing out everything but there’s simply too much - I have already provided feedback to the receptionist… Overall, hotel is severely lacking the service and quality I’d expect from a 4 star, esp the prices paid for a suite. Service is shocking across check in, bar and especially breakfast. We stayed in the bracken suite - it’s very poor, falling apart and very tired looking. I would avoid it. The only saving grace is location.

Stopped off here twice. The first time for coffee one morning, then for lunch a few days later. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The food was outstanding. We are seriously considering staying here in the future.

Beautiful little Tapas Bar. The food was very authentic and so tasty. The Chef did a fantastic job ! The staff were very friendly and attentive. We would highly recommend it. We visited on the Saturday before Xmas, such a nice treat before all the festive fayre. Very reasonably priced too. This lovely little place deserves a visit.

No atmosphere probably because the place was empty (Thursday lunchtime)..I love tapas but this didn't meet my expectations..food lacked flavour...garlic butter prawns were cold, very little sauce for the patatas Bravas..couldn't even have a glass if wine as no liquor licence. Delicious olives. Friendly service

Lovely tapas bar in the centre of Woodhall Spa, the food was very tasty and the service was excellent. They don't have a drinks licence but you are welcome to BYO for very reasonable corkage charge. We will definitely return next time we are in the area

The food was very good! We asked how the dishes came and told it was “as it came from the kitchen “ we were the only diners and all five dishes came very quickly! When you want to eat slowly and you get it all at once you end up eating quickly just to stop it being cold! As the scallops were served cold I lost respect! Why don’t tapas restaurants respect the need to eat slowly?

An excellent experience and amazingly tasty. While eating I was already planning what dishes to order on my next visit. Easily some of the best Tapas dishes I have had. My only worry about giving 5 stars is I might not be able to get a table for my next visit once others try the menu. Great food and wonderful hosts.

Food was okay. Not one of our best experiences of a Tapas Bar. Atmosphere was okay until a family arrived. No problem with the children just one of the adults was very load then on the phone with a WhatsApp call. We aren't local so wouldn't visit again. Also didn't know until we arrived about the no licence.

Well cooked, imaginative, fresh food with an authentic Spanish menu…Calamari is a ‘must try’ very friendly staff. Small place with few covers so you need to book. Unlicensed but you can BYO or just pop next door to Bar 11 (they have an understanding) mid range prices
