Restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Santa Cruz das Flores, Restaurante "O Moreão" stands out as a delightful culinary gem. This cozy family-run establishment is renowned for its fresh seafood, with daily catches featured prominently on the menu. Diners can savor exquisite dishes like Goraz and Cherne, alongside the beloved fish soup that has become a local favorite. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a meal while soaking in the island's ambiance.
We were very satisfied with our visit. We had the barracuda and the beef steak. The barracuda was truly delicious and served in a beautiful portion. The beef was tasty, though a bit chewy. The fries were homemade and extremely crispy – some of the best we’ve ever had. We arrived at 6:50 PM and were the first guests, and we were immediately attended to. The service was very friendly and warmed up noticeably after a few sentences. Instead of the menu shown online, there was a daily special menu, which the server kindly explained to us. I really appreciated this; it felt very authentic, and you can tell that everything is fresh.

While I appreciate family-owned restaurants, my experience here was not satisfying. The waiting time was very long. I also noticed another couple waiting about 1.5 hours, and they also looked unhappy. Unfortunately, this seems to be a recurring issue. The food didn’t meet expectations either - the shrimp was rubbery, and the sauce lacked flavor. On top of that, the portions were small for the price, making it feel like poor value for money. Overall, I just wanted to finish my meal and leave.

The staff is friendly and the fish is delicious, the choice depends on the availability of the day. We took the Pergo and the Boca Negra, both great but I prefer the Pergo. With a white wine from Pico, the Terras de Lava, it was perfect.
Nick F — Google review
You come here for the fish and seafood. Freshly caught that morning. We had the swordfish and 'veja'. Large servings, plate came with salad, locally grown sweet potato, oil & vinegar on the side. Both fish were grilled. Delicious ! One can taste the fish when cooked this way. No fancy sauces needed. We saw another table have appetizers of 'lapas' and shrimp, which looked exquisite. We highly recommend O Moreno if you want the best seafood, simply cooked and delicious.
Maria — Google review
The best restaurant in the island, family owned, server/owner always in a good mood, received our large group of 10 unannounced twice during our stay. What a pleasure was to eat there. The husband, fisherman and cook, also came to talk to us. Please visit this wonderful place with wonderful people.
Bruno M — Google review
The hostess is full of life and this reflects in the ambience of the restaurant. Even the humourous table mats bring a cheer to the soul! Yes, we had a 30 minutes drive to get to the restaurant ; but she did reserve the last plate of `lapas` for us. The fish is very fresh! Excellent restaurant!
Darryl P — Google review
I had dinner at O Moreão in Flores, and I can honestly say I ate the best tuna of my life here – and that’s saying a lot, considering I’m a huge seafood lover and have recently been to Japan! The tuna was perfectly grilled, incredibly fresh, and bursting with flavor. Every bite simply melted in my mouth. The presentation was beautiful, accompanied by fresh vegetables, potatoes, and a touch of citrus that enhanced the fish without overpowering it. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere had that authentic, local charm that makes you feel at home. If you’re in Flores and love fish, this is an absolute must-visit. Freshness, flavor, and genuine hospitality – O Moreão delivers it all.

The best fish I've ever had. Owner catches the fish, chef cooks them. Great service and very reasonable. Book early, it's a small place and fills up quickly.

Pizza restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Santa Cruz das Flores, Fora d'Horas is a delightful eatery that captures the essence of local cuisine without any pretentiousness. With a menu featuring three main dishes and beverages, this restaurant offers seasonal specials that you can inquire about directly with the owner. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for travelers seeking authentic flavors.
Good was amazing! We ordered a big Inferno pizza although it was not spicy in my book, it had great taste and lots of ground beef on it. We also got a Tiramisu and a Chocolate Mousse and again they were both fantastic!! 💯
Sean V — Google review
Good restaurant option in Santa Cruz. We had pizza and it was really good. Especially, since it was after a long day of exploring Flores and hiking. Staff was kind and helpful. Can say that overall was a very good experience and would visit again.
Simon H — Google review
I liked the place. The veja fish was very tasty, served with potato and salad. The pizza was good. The cream pie was incomparable.
Anastasiya S — Google review
I went here twice in one day for lunch and dinner. For lunch, I had the Chicken and Pineapple pizza, which was very fresh and loaded with toppings and cheese, just the way I like it. I had it with sangria, which was the perfect combination. For dinner, I returned and it was busy, so I was unable to sit inside, but the outside patio was perfect (I preferred it). I tried the Franceinha, realizing it was a must-try Portuguese dish. I also had the dessert, similar to tiramisu but with cookies and cinammon. It was out of this world. The staff was very nice and helpful with recommending wines and food.

Great place. Enjoyed the grilled Veja fish. Friendly and attentive service

We had a Pizza and a salad and was super tasty. The food and service was amazing. The waitress was super friendly and spoke great English. As a dessert we had a homemade pudding like cream with cookies, it was super good. The view from the terrace was also nice.
Beluis B — Google review
Easy restaurant for dinner. Food is fresh & good and comes with good portions of side dishes. I can recommend the Chicken Skewers. One waiter handled all tables, so there was a little waiting time sometimes, but that was ok & he was very friendly. I went there 2 times and would go again for an easy dinner.

Restaurant
If you're looking for a delightful dining experience in Santa Cruz das Flores, look no further than Restaurante "Rainha do Bife." This charming eatery boasts a diverse menu featuring 16 delectable dishes and beverages that highlight the rich flavors of the Azores. Guests rave about the traditional starters, particularly the Lapas, which are a must-try! The service here is exceptional; attentive staff go above and beyond to ensure you have an enjoyable meal.
Good traditional food, we had steaks, nice house wine and attentive waiter. The interior might be cosier. A tad pricey, but given that we are on a very remote island with limited food supplies, we left satisfied.
Sanita S — Google review
Not great, but was one of the only restaurant in the area not full. Not much choice, (unidentified) fish quite dry, chicken legs look like they have been fried in the morning...
Thomas U — Google review
We came a little bit concerned because of some negative reviews and it was empty (but full of locals watching football in the bar area) - when the other restaurants were packed. Everything was very good!! Simple ‘homelike’ meal with fresh and good ingredients. We had the octopus and bacalao/cod with veggies. The service was kind and helpful, always attentive to us. They surprised us with some shrimp on the house! Not all menu items are available but that is normal on a small island with daily catches. I would happily come back.
Juan V — Google review
Nice local sports bar and bartender but please DO NOT eat here, beef was literally like the proverbial shoe sole, twice, after asking for a re-make.
Johan L — Google review
The service here was incredibly kind – by far the friendliest we’ve experienced on the Azores so far. The staff really cared about whether we were happy, and it was clear they are true locals. The food could get a little refresh, as it felt a bit old-fashioned, but it honestly didn’t matter – we felt genuinely welcome and had a lovely time here. ❤️
Petra H — Google review
Surprisingly excellent experience. Well worth 5 star in my opinion. And I'm really picky with food... So food was very tasty, especially the traditional to Azores Lapas as starter. Must try here!! Service was another proof that you should give a chance to not so good previous reviews as things might change. We were so pleased to have an excellent service. Very polite staff that gave us a lot of care and attention. Explain the menu and offered alternatives.. Even had a chance to speak to the chef that explained menu choices in detail. We had fish which was lovely simply prepared but such full of flavours. Coffee also surprisingly very nice and strong. Will definitely come again before our flight back.
Joanna D — Google review
I was unable to dine here, had an overall negative experience. I wanted to have dinner here but walked into a bar area. It appeared that the dining room was next door and I believe the dinner service had not started yet. The bartender and bar patrons seemed to all be local but made me feel very uncomfortable. I speak only a little bit of Portuguese, but the body language spoke for itself. I asked to see a menu, which I was provided. We ordered drinks at the bar and sat on the patio to enjoy them. The drinks were poured and then the bartender said we had to return the menu. It was confusing and I already was so uncomfortable that I just drank the sangria (which was not even good) and left. It was unfortunate that the people at the bar could make myself and my companion feel so unwelcome.

With an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients, this small gem offers a selection of exquisite seafood dishes like Goraz and Cherne, alongside mouthwatering meat options such as skewered steak served with crispy fries.
I had the Lapas - it was terrific! My wife had the veal steak, it was a very large portion and very tender. We shared the plates to get the best of everything. Five stars!!
Daniel B — Google review
Delicious food and big portions. We had the cod fish and the parrot fish. The desserts are also very tasty and everyone working here is super friendly. Definitely recommend this place!
Laura — Google review
Being italian and had tried all resto of the island 🤗 I declare Sereia and Miguel and his two women chef team the best. This is why: nicest local wine choice. Gosh which is excellently cooked (not over cooked, no over salty, light and healthy), always fresh, even when sea is roaring. Short menu means focus on quality plates, various but concised choice. I am not such a great eater of sweet BUT the coco cake is simply IMPOSSIBLE to be prepared: three layered egg white blanc manger with a coconut and a fresh cream underneath: very fine ! Try to believe !!! And last but not least : quality price much better than all the rest of the 4 resto of Santa Cruz. We went twice (very rare).
Daria D — Google review
Is was quite an experience since they did not have a menu (paper of digital) so the manager tells you orally the meal of the day and the prices, and write the note on the napkin 😅😂 - btw cash 💵 only, like a lot of restaurants in Flores. What we eat was delicious especially the lapas, the best I had on 3 islands ! And they give you vegetables !! (Quite rare to be noticed 🙃) I recommend!
Julia S — Google review
Typical, best restaurant in town. Fresh fish, amazing Octopus and great desserts (carrot cake, cheesecake, local puddings,. ..)
Mathieu M — Google review
To Portugese food standards it's good food. Recommend the lapas, if you're a big eater you don't have enough with the lapas though. Steak and pork was alright.
Laura M — Google review
Had a super delicious tuna and passion fruit dessert. The staff is very customer satisfaction focused. Definitely recommend.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Zona Industrial do Boqueirao, Restaurante "O Moleiro" offers a unique dining experience that reflects the charm of Flores, one of the most remote islands in the Azores. This family-run establishment serves a daily special that is both hearty and generous, ensuring diners leave satisfied. The ambiance may be simple—part warehouse, part local café—but it’s filled with character and adorned with intriguing images related to whale hunting.
The greatest kindness of the whole island, cheapest dinner in my entire trip, fast service and healthy and good food. I don’t understand the low rating, please come and give a chance to this family-run restaurant instead of the rudeness of others. With 2 people, 2 mains, 4 beers and 2 coffees we spent 32€.
Silvia S — Google review
Eat Local, Think Local. In some parts of the world, I would think twice before getting into a restaurant with the external looks of this one. But this is peaceful Flores, the remotest island of Azores. The left half of the door opens to a mix between a messy warehouse and a local café. The right half opens to a corridor that takes you to a basic restaurant, in the back, decorated with images of whale hunting, where the food is generally very good and the waiter friendly. Good value for money, but don't expect sophistication. Just across the street to INATEL Flores Hotel.
Antonio F — Google review
What a lovely dinner we had! Such kind & efficient service. Plus we had plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day.
Gillian G — Google review
I cannot really talk about the food cause when we entered, the waiter jumped behind the bar and started to busy himself with some paperwork and would not look at us. After 5 minutes waiting for someone to attend us, we just left (5minutes is long to wait for the menu in a restaurant).. when you dont feel welcome, you dont wa t to force your luck..
Nathalie V — Google review
Do you want a fancy place, this is not. This is a restaurant where you can taste good local dishes and having a great ratio between quality and price. Highly recommended for an informal stop.
Alberto Q — Google review
Good food, nice people. Fresh fish and great steak.
Luis A — Google review
Very nice place, good food, friendly people, and the bar next door is a must. Try the pudding ... It's great. And: it's where the locals drop in for lunch.

More than one hour waiting, just for a VERY mediocre lunch, it also is a bit expensive. I won't go never again.

Barbecue restaurant
O Mergulhador is a no-frills eatery in the Azores that offers amazing food and incredibly friendly service, which is typical of the region. Their grilled rabbit, a speciality dish, stands out as one of the best meals you can have in the Azores. Don't forget to ask for their homemade hot sauce. This restaurant on Flores Island has gained a reputation for serving delicious food such as octopus, t-bone steak, and grilled chicken.
Ate dinner 3 times during a week. Nicely cooked and delicious T-bone and Tomahawk steak. Personal service. The cows walking around and grazing on fresh grass in Flores Island and other Azores islands seem to have a good live compared to that in many other countries. The calfs seem to stay together with the mother cows and I have seen complete herds with a bull walking around.

Very good and tasty food. Fresh ingredients and welcoming service. The meat was incredible.
Philippe M — Google review
We arrived right at opening time for dinner and managed to get a table without a reservation. It got busy quickly, so we’d definitely recommend booking in advance. The meat and fish were both very good. The staff was friendly and took the time to explain the Portuguese menu in English. Would definitely recommend!
Mathilde M — Google review
great food, and our waiter went above & beyond to accomodate us. he translated everything, made sure each of us could find a meal to enjoy, and remained incredibly friendly the entire time.

We were here twice during our stay on Flores, had fish and meat and very fine starters. The food is very good, the service friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is pleasant. It is essential to make a reservation: call or, if you can't get a table, book directly for another evening (instead of getting annoyed!). An absolute recommendation!
Christine F — Google review
Lovely local restaurant, high quality ingredients and curated dishes. Best Francesinha I've ever had!
Lorenza I — Google review
After trying several restaurants in Flores, here we found the most professional service. The staff was efficient, and our meals arrived promptly - something that isn’t always the case at other local spots. The portion sizes were satisfying, and the steaks, made from local meat, were delicious. One suggestion for improvement: It would be great if the staff asked about steak preferences (e.g., rare, medium-rare, etc.). Personally, I would have preferred mine a bit more on the rare side. Overall, a great experience - definitely recommend on Flores

This is a gem of a place in Sta Cruz das Flores. Recenty also now on the Guia Repsol! Always booked out, so best to reserve in advance. The steak and fish were excellent, but better still was the fresh cheese with the islands spicy sauce.

Restaurante Bar "Hotel Café" is a hidden gem in Flores, offering delicious vegetarian options that exceeded expectations. The restaurant's attached to a hotel and may seem basic, but the service was top-notch. The tagliatelle with creamy vegetables and chili with oats were both flavorful and satisfying. In addition to the great food, they also serve excellent caipirinha and franzesina at the bar, where you can enjoy good music and a laid-back atmosphere.
Pretty nice place. There are a lot of tables inside and outside. Food was delicious. We tried tuna fish with potatoes and Veal steak with french fries. What was strange for us they do not use salt and spicy. All dishes taste very natural. Service was fast and professional. The waitr was very kind and polite. The speek french and english. We really enjoyed our lunch.

It was hard to enjoy a meal in this sauna! It was so hot in there that we were sweating. They should have had fans, but they didn’t. It also took a very long time to get our lunch and there were only three tables of people there at the time. Once we got the food, it was pretty bland. I’d recommend finding another restaurant. I did hear that the chicken pasta was good, but my chicken with rice, salad (with no dressing) and fries was the definition of bland.

The place is a little bit hidden but there’s a park behind. The waiter was super nice and lovely, super helpful. We went for the tuna and also the fried fish, both perfectly cooked and super fresh 🥰

Overlooking the bay it could certainly be a nice place although when full you can’t hear your friends speak- bad acoustics . The steak was very tough we could not eat it and the waiter couldn’t care less
Nic J — Google review
Terrible food, restaurant to be avoided... Fish was overcooked (well done vs the medium rare we asked), French fries were frozen (despite the waiter mentioning homemade after we asked...), and the vegetables were also frozen, boiled and overcooked. Any alternative would have been better.

Ka'Petisca is a charming casual eatery that offers a delightful dining experience, especially for those seeking a quick bite by the sea. Nestled in an inviting truck stop atmosphere with a tented area for outdoor seating, it provides stunning views of the harbor. The menu features satisfying options like delicious bacon burgers and deluxe hot dogs topped with sausage, onions, cheese, and crispy bacon—perfectly complemented by crispy fries.
We searched for a sandwich place on Google Maps and found Ka Petisca, a casual truck stop with a tented area for dining. We each ordered the deluxe hot dog with sausage, onions, grated cheese and bacon with a side of fries and a couple of glasses of wine. It was delicious and totally hit the spot - not too much that we felt stuffed and just enough to get us on our way. The harbor view was great. The service was friendly and helpful. The prices were very reasonable.
John B — Google review
This spot is a great choice for a casual burger meal. While it might not deliver a truly standout burger experience, it delivers exactly what you’d expect for the price and setting. The prices are reasonable and offer good value for what you get. Both the portion size and amount of meat are fair, making it a satisfying meal. The location really sets this place apart - you can enjoy your food with a beautiful ocean view. If you’re looking for a straightforward, enjoyable burger in a relaxing spot by the ocean, this place is worth considering. The burgers are not extraordinary, but you get a solid meal for the price in a fantastic setting. Pro tip: Don’t go around, take a shortcut with stairs. Only ToiToi available. Update: After five days on the island, I can say that this place is better than many restaurants here in terms of price-to-quality ratio. I regret spending money at some restaurants, but I’ve never regretted coming here

Very nice foodtruck. A bit of a wait getting the food. Friendly service.
Brandstrup N — Google review
Beautiful location with an amazing view. The staff were very kind and polite, but unfortunately, the management of the place left much to be desired. After waiting for an hour and a half, we were served an old bread sandwich with very little filling inside. The reason, we were told, was simple: they had run out of most of the food. I can understand that sometimes the kitchen runs out of certain dishes, but in that case, I don’t think it’s fair to charge the full price for something that was incomplete. A gorgeous setting shouldn’t be overshadowed by such poor service and organization. Edit to answer the owner: We arrived and tried to place an order, but the owner asked us to wait 20 minutes because they were full. This happened twice, each time assuring us there was enough food until 23 and we shouldn’t worry. However, when we finally ordered, there was very little food left, and it was too late to go anywhere else.
Renato R — Google review
The place is quite charming, which makes the quality of the food all the more disappointing. I noticed something off as soon as I bit into my burger, and when I walked over to the kitchen to let them know, I saw they were defrosting the patties directly on the grill — a method that not only affects the flavor but can also be unsafe. Sadly, this is a place I won’t be returning to.
Bernardino R — Google review
It’s nice for a quick bite. No high expectations, the view is nice and the food is not expensive. Very close to the airport
Adriana S — Google review
Stopped for lunch, had bacon burger with a side of fries. Burger was delicious, and the view of the sea is fabulous. They helpful understood my very limited Portuguese and speak English.
Anita F — Google review
Flores is about people. And some people make great food. Even if we talk about hamburgers. This is a owned business, for the last 3 years. With a rich life history, the owner settled in the Azores where the rythm is perfect to raise the family and live in contac with the soil. Which makes that all vegetables in the hamburgers are fresh. The meat is local Flores beef. Her social openess to her clients is amazing and authentic. The service is excelent. The burgers are tasty and full of flavor. Some local azorean wines available. 5/5 stars for such an experience in an island where the winter challendge the resistence of small local business.

Nestled next to the airport runway, A Pimentinha Bar & Petiscos offers a delightful dining experience that combines great food with an inviting atmosphere. The charm of this food truck lies in its commitment to simplicity and freshness, utilizing local ingredients for their mouthwatering burgers. Whether you opt for the veggie burger made from garden-fresh produce or one of their meat options sourced from island-raised animals, each bite is a testament to quality.
Great great food and super nice vibes! It turnes out always the simple recepies and the fresh local products are the key to success. We ate here 2 times, first time we had açoreana and the second time pimentinha, served with delicious fries. The food truck is next to the airplane runaway which makes it a unique location to have your lunch. The music was also super chill and it gave the place an authentic feel. I think it is good value for money, for 2 burgers and 2 beers you would pay roughly 30 €. I recommend it!

Magical, charming, slice of life serve with a sweet soulful smile. A woman that serves with love and intention. The pictures don’t do justice to the falcon explosion that occurs. It’s absolutely a must go to. Best quality and vibe for any restaurant near by or far away. Truly. MUST GO! Going back just to experience the glory all over again!

Great food near the airport. Sympathetic service. And even open Sunday, which is great because it was our day of departure.

Such a good meal and a really cool restaurant! All the ingredients for the (delicious) veggie burger are from the owner’s garden. All the meat for the other burgers comes from the island, which is great since the animals here seem to live in nice conditions. The truck also has a wide selection of fun drinks if you want a cocktail, and the atmosphere is really interesting (a nice view of the ocean next to the airport runway). One of the best places on the island to eat, and will come back next time we come to Flores!

This spot is a must-visit while you’re on the island. The burger and fries were absolutely amazing. The owner is a badass, full of personality and passion, and her kid is adorable and added so much charm to the experience. Great food, great vibes.

truly excellent burgers. My daughter, who's a family expert, ranked it as one of her top burgers ever. First, decent fries we've had in the Azores, they were delicious. You really notice that they use only local products. Obrigado!

The best place to eat delicious burger with local ingredients and made with love and a smile! Really good vibes, good music and the owner is a lovely person! We came back a second time to eat her vegetarian burger!

Please check out Monica's, a burger joint that can be found on Instagram or Facebook for their operating hours. This family-run business is truly dedicated to delivering authentic and incredible food. With a wide variety of items on their menu, you'll be amazed by the speed at which the wife finishes cooking everything in under 10 minutes. Don't miss out on trying their must-try XXL cookie, which boasts a melty center and stays warm when eaten.
Note: please check Instagram or Facebook for the hours Food was truly authentic and amazing. Business run by husband and wife who love the work they do. Had many items on their menu and my wife and I finished all in less than 10 minutes. Cookie XXL is a must try. The center melts and it's still warm when we ate it.

Great selection of goodies, fantastic brownies, friendly service and beautiful view of the sea in a quiet area at the end of the town. Saturday is closed.

Check the Facebook page each day to see if it's open - if it is you're in luck but get there earlier :) we missed the chicken wings unfortunately but the chilli fries and various cakes and cookies were amazing and they're all lovely and friendly.

Absolute hidden gem. I hesitate to review it for fear of never being able to get a table again! So so so good. Monica’s food is authentic, local, fresh and vibrant. Location cannot be beat. Spacious and quirky interior with little surprises scattered around the decor. You will want to stay all day. Sandwiches, fresh salads, smoothies, milkshakes, and the most fabulous crepes and ice creams. Couldn’t recommend more highly. She basically beams good vibes!!! Just go!

Best food we had on the island! Burger was delicious good quality meat, bread and salad, and the fries were perfect and really good with the garlic mayo dip. The XXL Cookie was honestly the best cookie I've ever eaten. Opening times are very random so you need to follow them on Instagram or Facebook to check when they say they are going to be open. Was busy immediatley on opening so it is clearly popular. Service was good. Some food/drink options may run out if you don't get there early enough.

Close to the church, you will find a lot of benches to enjoy your food. Fresh food, we loved crispy chicken sandwich and cup of happiness (dessert). Our captain, who brought us to Corvo by boat this morning, helping his wife, Monica in the food truck. 😎☀️😋

Great and cosy place at the back of the museum. There is a food track that works on Sunday and a restaurant that works on the weekdays. The food is amazing, great coffee, amazing view, and very nice service.

The climate is more European than Azorean. Service very friendly, food ok.

If you find yourself in Santa Cruz das Flores and are on the lookout for a charming spot to work or unwind, look no further than Big Love by Monica's. This delightful café is not just about aesthetics; it serves up an array of mouthwatering options like sandwiches, French crepes, and authentic bagels that will remind you of home. The owner takes pride in crafting original dishes that burst with flavor, making every bite a treat.
It is a nice modern Café/Bar, they offered beyond other snacks a special Bolo-Sandwich with slow cooked pork, this was very good! My fiancé ordered the chorizo-cheese Bolo which was also very tasty!! Very nice to drop by to grab a coffee too, if you are on a roadtrip across the island this is a great stop to refill your energy 🤩

We've tried Azorean toast and were pleasantly surprised. The local cheese were so tasty. Also the salad as side dish was fabulous, included in the dish and pretty filling. Overall great vibes from this place.

This was an amazing experience! Beautiful & design/hipster place, view to the ocean outdoors but also have seats indoors if preferred, food is outstanding! Salty & sweets, both! I found this place randomly via TripAdvisor when we arrived to the airport after 2 long flights, it was a blast. I had chicken sandwich, oat iced latte & lemonade, my lo ham&cheese pannini, big love milkshake and all was super delicious. The staff is super friendly as well :)

One of our favourite spots in Santa Cruz. Perfect for proper brunch or even lunch. My favourite was the granola, which is hand made and the fruit was delicious. The brownie is also incredible: yummy and creamy, totally recommended. The salad was also quite good, all with ingredients of km0 and the vinaigrette was delicious as well. They also have natural orange juice and great selection of drinks and coffee ☕️ The Island toast was also one of our picks and didn’t disappointed ❤️ The only negative is that they open quite late, around 12h. Would be great if they could open earlier. Top pick of the Island! 💯 But get ready because it can get quite crowded by all the tourists in the area. The service was also impeccable but a little bit slow if it gets crowded, super nice waitress, maybe it was Monica? 🤣

Amazing views in a very trendy designed restaurant. It has an LA vibe in Portugal. The chocolate chip BIG cookies are to die for! There are so many healthy options! Everything tasted great - we ate there twice!!!

The place was recommended by people who rented there tent to us and it didn’t disappoint. What a cozy atmosphere they’ve created here! At first we thought it was a little bit expensive but when we got our plates that thought vanished. A well-filled sandwich with some salad. And it tased delicious! Well balanced in flavours so we enjoyed every bite. Aside from the sandwich we had they also offered crêpes, paninis and salads.

I love this snack bar. The food is different, it's always delicious, the bagel and cream cheese so goood, the cookies definitely 5⭐, and the service is the bestest ever. They always have a smile 😁 on their face, which is the first important rule in customer service, Bravo🙌🙌👏👏

Chinese restaurant
I visited Restaurante "Macau" after a flight cancellation and was impressed with the friendly owner and their dedication to running both the kitchen and front of house. The noodle dish and chicken were well flavored and tasty, offering standard fare. Despite negative reviews, my visit only yielded positive experiences at this establishment. For breakfast, I enjoyed coffee and tostas, which satisfied my taste buds.
There were very helpful, kind, the food was very delicious and had a good price. They accepted the Sata voucher, and they helped us a lot

The food at this Chinese restaurant was okay. Side dishes have to be ordered extra which makes it in total more expensive. We had plain and fried rice as side dishes. The service is very basic. The ambiente in the restaurant is okay, it’s a little bit too dark in some areas. The location is a bit unfortunate as it’s close to a gas station and the entry area to the restaurant was very untidy. This can be done better.

Unfortunately, it started with us at the counter ordering just 2 things to go, in walks a customer who was outside drinking and just orders beer and owner just takes his order and payment without even saying a word to us, no apologies..nothing. ordered spring rolls which were good, but the house fried rice just tasted like boiled rice! Asked if any sauce came with rolls, and she asked us what sauce?? We said duck sauce, sweet & sour or soy..and she said not usually but it would cost extra anyway, they already charge for takeout or should say take away as they're acostomed (.50) Interior is casual, with some things in open storage for all to see...the owner/bartender was not friendly.

The food we had was very good as was the house wine. The ambiance inside the restaurant was OK. It is located behind a gasoline station across from the Flores airport. It was also open all day so if necessary you could get an early dinner and not wait until after 7 or 7:30 when other dining establishments opened. The service was very good and the owners were friendly. We would go back there for Chinese food.

Came here to grab a bite to eat after a flight cancellation due to weather. We ordered a noodle dish and some chicken. Well flavored, tasty, standard fare. The owner was very friendly and put a lot of effort into running the kitchen and front of house. Not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from, I can only write positive things about this place from my visit.

Chinese food in different countries can be distinctly different, and that was true here. I ordered the chicken with sesame seeds, and the sesame seeds were in the batter. It was really delicious, though. I would order again!
