No pizza for lunch. They treat the locals preferentially. Not good, despite good reviews. Charged us 3 euro cover per person for lunch as well.

In South Africa most restaurants are open all day and we are not used to plan lunch by the hour. So we were desperately looking for a place to enjoy lunch around 15:00 one day in Abbadia San Salvatore without any luck. Then on our way back to BelSientero we saw the Ristorante Pizzeria Laccoria sign post. An interesting winding road lead to what looked like a farmhouse. Patrons were just leaving but the owners of this family run ristorante were willing to serve us lunch. We also heard that their grandfather was an ambassador to SA many years back and that he was stationed in Johannesburg where we also live. We enjoyed a lovely meal and wine and spent quality time in the tranquil environment. The decor is interesting and we were particularly fascinated by one of the paintings. See the picture below.

Lovely cosy atmosphere with excellent pizza menu. Also the pasta was great. The prices are unseen anywhere in modern Italy! Super value prices for the high quality food. The owner was also super helpful to provide a contact for mechanic for our burst tyre. We are very grateful and thank our good luck to have come to this restaurant!
