Today we came to this restaurant and ordered a grilled octopus, which looked great, but the taste of the octopus was awful, as it was super chewy and gummy. During our stay in Greece we were ordering a grilled octopus in other spots and it was always tender and soft. When I asked to replace it, they said that no, and they believe it’s supposed to be like that. At the beginning it was good experience, but after this situation, I changed my mind. Even though we ordered 6 meals with drinks. Don’t recommend it. Quite disappointing.

Service was 6 stars level (i think the name of the guy serving us was Christo (didn’t asked him), a great professional. At some point a DJ showed up and made the atmosphere even better. No loud music at all a great selection of songs which was a perfect addition to the sea view. I recommend this place with both hands! Evharisto poli, Greece.

We loved our romantic date here! Lobster pasta is total delight, but to be honest everything was super tasty. Service and atmosphere are exceptional! Desserts didn’t make a huge impression, but was good. Definitely recommend!👌

Everything was delightfully tasty and the service was excellent. While there was one lady who seemed a bit distant and rarely smiled, everyone else was very warm and pleasant, which made our lunch truly enjoyable. Grouper fillet was fresh and tasty, sea urchin pasta flavorful, and the lobster pasta was superb!

I visited Grada Nuevo about a month ago and had a truly memorable dining experience. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, but two dishes really stood out: the bruschettas topped with fish roe were rich and flavorful, and the asparagus appetizer was perfectly balanced — fresh, elegant, and beautifully presented. Located in a lively downtown area just out of the super touristy restaurant section this place was an amazing find. The decor and ambiance was beautiful as it was lively but not loud. Chairs were comfy and my mom and i had a lovely meal with a GREAT Greek wine recommendation from our waiter. We had the oysters from France, Portugal and Ireland as well as the catch of the day sashimi (was a Greek fish we hadn’t heard of!), the scallops hot appetizer and the octopus hot app. It’s so difficult to pick a favorite since everything was so good but the scallops were exquisite and the sauce on the sashimi was so creative and delicious. Wish i lived in Greece so i could come here often!

It doesn’t happen very often that everything you order exceeds your expectations… We tried beef tartar, ravioli with burrata filling, followed by beef and pork cheeks, everything was super delicious!! Coupled with a nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. Kudos to the chef!

Elevated Greek food. The atmosphere and decor are perfect. Modern and cosy. Every course was well balanced in its flavours. The pork cheek and pork shank were cooked perfectly. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. We will be going back!

Magnificent gluten free menu! All the gluten free choices I tried, were perfect! The rest of our group, non gluten free, also enjoyed their lunch very much. Service was impressive from people that liked their work. Very well trained, wine suggestion very good and well priced. gluten Free desert was offered by the house free of charge!! Lunch overall was very reasonable for the quality delivered! Highly recommended for regular but also complete Gluten free meals!

Hands down the best food we have had across multiple trips to Thessaloniki. The service was impeccable we thought we had made reservation but found out it didn’t go through yet they still was very accommodating. The menu is very well thought out with twist of their own very well executed and depth In flavours. We tried various dishes and was very impressed. Great to sit outside and enjoy the great atmosphere. Save room for dessert the chocolate profiterole dessert was a great finisher! 5*****

This is in my mind, one of the top restaurants in Greece. It could be top in Europe, and definitely deserves a Michelin star. Their take on “pastichio” is something out of this world! The crispy dumplings stuffed with oxtail were sublime. I would like to go back and just order 6-7 dishes off their starters menu. Portions are large, Staff are very friendly and exceptionally professional, without being pretentious. The spot has great ambience, nice and relaxed without being stuffy. If you are in Thessaloniki this is a must visit.

I recently dined at To Manitari for the first time. The food was good, though not the best for its price range. The meat was slightly too dry for a medium rare. There were some original dishes, but nothing extraordinary. The atmosphere was pleasant, with excellent service and a comfortable, cool temperature, which was appreciated on these very hot days. Overall, I give To Manitari 4 stars.

tried out a seafood restaurant and had a mixed experience. We ordered fried fish, fried calamari, grilled sardines, and also some French fries. We also tried a soup, but it wasn’t good either. The desserts we picked weren’t tasty at all, so the highlights of the meal were definitely just the fried fish and the fried shrimp.

Great seafood restaurant. The octopus carpaccio was very fresh and tasty. Grilled sardines with tomato were good. The seafood linguine was amazing — we loved it. For dessert, we had the almond mille-feuille, which was outstanding, especially for a seafood restaurant.

The hygiene of this restaurant is quite concerning. We had dinner here at around 4 pm on the 19th. While eating the shrimp risotto, my friend noticed that it tasted sour and strange, but thought it might just be the local flavor. After finishing the meal, we didn’t eat anything else that day. At 7 am on the 20th, she suddenly woke up and started vomiting. The vomit contained visible rice grains and asparagus. She vomited six times in total, eventually throwing up yellow-green bile. She only started to feel better after receiving IV treatment at the hospital. We ate the same dishes except for the shrimp risotto — I didn’t eat it, and I was fine, while she, who did, suffered food poisoning. Considering the contents of the vomit and the sour, spoiled taste of the dish, it’s clear that the problem came from that risotto. After receiving medical treatment, we went back to the restaurant with the hospital documents to explain the situation. However, the restaurant refused to take responsibility, claiming that many portions of the same risotto had been sold that day without complaints, and they declined to refund or take any responsibility. We paid €161 for this meal, which is not cheap by Thessaloniki standards. The food was not only unpleasant but also unsafe — truly disappointing. (And to be clear, the food really was not tasty, even without what happened afterward.) We have visited Thessaloniki many times and have eaten at restaurants of all price ranges, but this is the first time we’ve experienced food poisoning. I’m writing this review to remind future visitors to be cautious and choose carefully, so that one bad restaurant doesn’t ruin your trip.

This is one of the best restaurants in Thessaloniki. We had 7 thalasses shrimp, octopus over Fava and zucchini fries all were super good, delicious and seafood risotto best ever had. Wine selection and service excellent. It was diner we will remember quite sometime to come

I hate writing bad reviews, but the service and food needs to improved, for this restaurant's price point. The staff seemed very overwhelmed. We ordered water, 2 glasses of wine, bread, 2 appetizers and 1 entree. We were brought bread (which is €3 a person) and waited 30 mins for our drinks. The risotto and clams presentation was odd; it was more of a rice which had been poured into the clam shells. There are so many better restaurants in this city. I would not go back here.

We visited at night to an almost packed room without reservation and the waiters prepared a table for us none the less. The restaurant serves Greek fare with a gourmet twist. Our order consisted of fennel pie, beef paddy (bifteki) , boiled greens and battered cod with garlic sauce. All were of very tasty with the possible exception of the cod which left something to be desired. Its batter was on the sweet side and the fish soft. Portions are not very large, you will need an appetiser and a main to get filled. Expect around 25-30 euros per person with a drink. Note that bread and water are charged.

Had high hopes as the place has magnificent reviews. We were 3 people in total, and my friends dishes were alright, nothing special, but my codfish came undercooked, even the batter. Unfortunately even the peas weren't right, as they were severely overcooked, never knew i had to chew peas so much. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are reliable, just the food is kind of average. Wouldn't come back here again.

I feel really bad to make this review because the place and staff are really nice but I had lunch with my mum and the food was terrible. We ordered the cod and the grilled sardines. The cod was bitter, not cooked enough, and the side dish were like three little peas. After talking to the waiter about it he didn’t do anything about it so I walked out still hungry. The sardines were way better but the side dish again was almost not existent and cold. What a shame :(

This was an excellent experience of Greek cuisine. I asked the restaurant to prepare a dinner for 60 people, colleagues coming for a conference. The food was perfect, with delicious appetizers, salads, and a rich choice of main courses, including vegan choices. Service was great as well, and a stylish and open interior design of the restaurant encouraged people to mix when getting drinks afterward. We couldn't find a better place for our event. Very much recommended.

Located in the outskirts of Thermi, Thessaloniki lies a restaurant that has been very highly appraised by all the locals and non. Honestly, it was ok, but I will just leave it at that. The service was a bit slow and cold, and my youngests plate was more than 15 minutes later than ours. The ceasars salad was good and the cheese. The rest of the food was at par maybe a little above. Many restaurants have tried the transition from a Taverna to finer dining not all succeed. I will leave it at that, and let you be the judges youselves. For me it was a been there, done that deal. What a lovely surprise at Takos in Thermi! From the moment we arrived, the warm and quick service made us feel welcome. The food was truly delightful – the seafood risotto with truffle oil, octopus carpaccio, fried seafood, and Caesar salad were all spot on. The shrimp kalamarata had great flavor, though just a touch salty for my taste. We also enjoyed the house wine, which paired beautifully with everything. The decor is simple yet stylish, and the atmosphere has that cozy neighborhood charm. A little hidden treasure . Highly recommended 💫

Great place to go, fine atmosphere with great view. Coffee was nice too. The only reason I deduct a star is due to car park service. The service its self is fine. But parking attendants asking for a tip from every customer, every time we come here, is just inapropriate. 1- I can park my own car 2- you are getting paid a wage in Greece and tipping is extra, its not part of the wage. Tipping is given IF the client wants to give it for exceptional service. Not because you parked my car in an empty car park. Finaly the service provided is "enforced" by the carp park clerks. You are "not allowed" to park yoye own car. Making asking for tips after even less apropriate.

We liked the place but it is definitely overpriced. 5€ for one cold coffee (freddo cappuccino side of tap water) is a bit too much. Due to an event there was no food that day, so I cant comment on that.

If you will be friendly , people will be friendly to you. 3. If you have any problem , you CAN SAY about it (but read first 2 advices). And for shure it will be fixed. 4. If you decided to go to the RESTAURANT ,of course you have to respect the place you choose. And you look have to be for this place. ( I hope you are not wearing to the theater swimsuit ?). 5. If you want to seat in front - make a reservation 😌 About the food : salad "Oohs" , carpacho , pasta with shrimps and pasta with beef - everything 5 from 5 ⭐ We paid 55 euro for food (with fresh juice, bread and water). Staff : professional ( a little slow, that is notmal for greek mentally). View super! Thank you, guys! Wish you to have just positive people on your way.

Fresh Nigiri you can't beat!!! We went for the sushi combo, the girls loved it! And the best part the chef prepared different maki with cucumber, vegetables and fried shrimp for the children who loved it!! Amazing atmosphere, outside cocktail bar, haven't been to a finest place these days, very well done!! Need to reserve ahead of time for sushi nights (Thursdays), grilled fine cuts also available for meat lovers. Everything was delicious, professional service, always someone around you.

I am been there for diner there with some friends and we ordered the 4 types of pizza they have : the pizzas are quite pricey (13-14e), the ingredients are barely OK (tomato sauce savorless, and same for the mozzarella that is being used...), and the dough is a total mess (to much oil used to prepare it, and it am pretty sure that they don t use good flour nor they lest the dough rest for a significant amount of time) that does not rises at all. Finally, the oven is not a charcoal oven.... I had not eaten such bad pizzas in quite a long time to be honest.

A cheese lovers paradise 🧀🧀 I walked by and was instantly intrigued. Went back the next day to give it a try and was very happy with my experience. I sat inside as it was cool on a hot day. I enjoyed Fondue and the feta ravioli with Greek red wine served at the right temperature of cool. They have a large and impressive selection of feta cheese, milk, yogurts, and even vegan products among many other items. If you like cheese this is a must try

A great place to buy excellent feta cheese, the selection is large, the prices are good... but the main thing is the service provided by the two saleswomen Double Constantina👏 They are polite, professional, patient and provide exceptional service... I always come back to shop here.

ISLAND VIBES! The balcony view is amazing and you can see the entire Thermaic Gulf. The excellent decoration of the place gives it a luxury look. Honestly at night it feels as if you're in visiting an island in the Aegean. Such a beautiful atmosphere. However, the prices are high - not to be surprised, considering the location and its view..and they barely offer anything with alcoholic drinks. Anyways, definitely a very unique place in Thessaloniki that's worth a visit though!

Pleasant place located on a cliff with good panorama, the only sad thing worth mentioning is the construction site in front below that spoils the view if you sit next to the edge.

A staple in Thessaloniki! Been going there for almost 20 years and it still is one of the prettiest bars/cafes/restaurants in the city. Drinks and food are awesome as well as the view especially during the summer. Has a island feeling for sure.

Pretty moody service that persisted for most part of our visit and did not set a good atmosphere. Quite expensive for what it is. Jumped in for a quick snack and some whine. Greek Salad was on the spot, tastfull and rich. Local red whine in dry and some sweter version are a dood choice to start.

If you are looking for amazing grilled meat then this is the best option for you. If I could give them 10 out of 5 stars I would. This places is probably the best food I had for ages. We love grilled meat and we ordered many different options to try and all of them were amazing. Very well grilled, soft and juicy. The taste was also really good. I am so impressed with the food. On top of that the staff was so friendly with a nice sense of humor which I loved and also prices were normal as well. Congratulations! We are definitely coming back again!

Lovely place near the sea at the Thesalonika heart Kalamaria. The place is very new and clean. The stuff is extremely pleasant. I love the choice of music playlist. You can sit inside or enjoy the great outside view. The interior of the caffe is unique and originally designed . The toilets are very clean and well equipped with ekstra stuf for your beauty hear and face fixing 😀. J would highly recommend this place for a visit...

Disappointment. Απογοήτευση. Too bad because we were good customers,living in the neighbourhood. This plate is the 'super bowl', which should be renamed as 'poor bool'. Dear management, respect your own menu: this plate was supposed to have 'boiled eggs'(in plural). Instead,I got 1 egg (how super is that). In the place of 'bread' there was a reheated imitation of a bread-like product which was cold, hard, impossible to eat. The plate costs 7 euro and leaves you hungry. Waste of money. I ended up eating my partner's plate, which was descent. When I told the staff , they just looked at me in bewilderment saying nothing. One more thing- although its holidays, the characteristic fireplace that we used to love sitting by was not burning this time. If you don't make up a christmassy atmosphere during the holidays, then when will it be the right time ? Ps. Our order was : 1 super bowl 1 plate of pancakes 2 cappuccinos

Ad a vegetarian I was absolutely satisfied with the vegetarian options. If we find the time we will be back and try the profiteroles dessert which was sold out unfortunately but also the ghana chocolate was amazing. The greek white wine that Theodore recommended can really compete with any French or German white wine and you should really try it. Keep up the great work guys. Update: Yes we did it again and we had another incredible, joyful night with Theodore and the whole crew. We also tried the profiteroles and it was absolutely worth it coming back. For a starter I had the special eggs with white truffle oil which was so divine. I also tried the vegetarian pasta with black pepper and cheese and it was such a simple dish with so much flavor. Well done again. We will definitely recommend you to friends and if we return to Thessaloniki you will be the place to be.

Nice restaurant with minimal decoration. A lot of options on the menu, with meat and fish dishes. All plates were tasteful and well prepared. Prices are normal. At the end of your meal the restaurant offers dessert, it's on the house. The only negative issue was the delay we experienced for someone to take our order, we were waiting for 20' and the restaurant wasn't even half packed.

Overall a very good experience. Warm and spacious place with good food and a variety of good wine options. The food was great and it was served really fast. Be sure to try some of the cheese dishes and the steak, it really is huge. The place was pretty crowded for a Thursday night, so I would suggest to book a table for Fridays and Sundays. Also, during summer there are outdoor seatings.

If you are looking for a British vibe and atmosphere this is the place, very nice cafe bar to go and have a cold beer or a coffee. However the service was a bit off, let's don't forget that we are in Greece were they have amazing hospitality, however the two times I have been there the service was poor, the staff was rude and I felt that I don't want to go back for that reason. It is a shame because it's a nice place with good music. But the service is so important.

I only gave a 2 star on the food because they don't have any. It's strictly a bar. Otherwise it's a really ice place to have drinks and social. The staff is friendly and willing to help if you have any questions.

I don't always leave a review but I feel I had to this time. We've had a bunch of shots, and by a bunch I mean at least 6 or 7 each. We were sober afterwards. They water out the shots. Imagine making people pay 3 euro a shot and watering them out. Don't you make enough profit? They also tried to scam me out when I asked a precise strong alcohol at 40°C by showing me a 20°C version saying "it's the same" and thinking I was too "tipsy" to check it. The good news is despite spending a bunch of money there, I felt hydrated. Don't go there. They are basically scammers.

Very kind and knowledgeable staff. The waiter explained every meal that we have questioned. The ambient is very cozy, the plates and napkins; everything were in harmony with the decoration. The food is amazing, every order has signature touch that makes the place unique. Even the toilet decoration has impressed me. I highly recommend visiting Methi Bistro & Wine Bar when you visit or pass Thessaloniki. I will come back again for sure!

It was the third time visiting! Very beautiful space, warm and cosy atmosphere. The food was really good but not as good as the previous time. The carpaccio needed something extra. The burata salads was marvellous and the trahanotto. The wine list is excellent and the service was perfect.

A really nice place worth visiting if you are around. Small and cosy with good vibes. The staff is extremely efficient and polite, we are talking high level service here. The gentleman who proposed the wine, immediately understood the flavor profile we were looking for and he suggested a great match. Neither cheap nor expensive but it worths the price you are paying.

Superb wine selection, very good food, cheese and meat selection. A place that I would go again targeting the wine selection. Spacing was a bit crowded (but just a bit) and music was a little up, so we could not hear one another without raising our voices. Staff was kind and knowledgeable. My suggestion for cheese would be not the platter but a hand picked cheese selection from the catalogue.

A great wine bar with delicious food! Tasos and his team has deep knowledge about wines and food pairing! The atmosphere is fantastic, no matter what the season is. There is a wide selection of Greek and all over the world wines but ask Tasos for recommendations! You should try tagliata or Flat Iron and there are many different plates every day!

I 'm gonna start with pros... The place has a vast variety of wines. It is also nice and quite cozy inside with a kind personnel. Wood texture almost everywhere and nice decoration. All these are accompanied with tasty dishes. Rolling over to cons now, the place has a lot yet to be considered a real bistro and it definitely has to correct specific issues. At first, you easily reach about 45-50euros - or even surpass them - with just a cheap wine (not anything great, since its prices start at about 22-24euros) and 2 dishes, even if you choose starters. So, it definitely should be listed at the "somewhat expensive" places to dine-in. It wouldn't be bad though, if the place would have taken care of its all-around atmosphere. In order to be called a bistro and wine bar, you have to take care of your music and create a calmed, relaxed and low-noise atmosphere. You close your door in order to avoid external noise, you play specific music at lower volume and you may ask a few customers not to yell that much for so long. OK, lets accept the fact that some companies are louder. Then you low your music! It's so simple, right? Finally, it was extremely infuriating the fact that we were waiting for almost 45' for a chocolate sphere (we had ordered it from the start, so they should know that it would come it's time and when it finally came, the place hadn't so many customers to serve, so I suppose something bad happened to the sphere... many times!!!), however, we didn't show our frustration, despite the fact that they never apologized or at least offer a small discount. You call yourself a bistro and wine bar, so at least keep a mentality to your 70euros bill customers (couple). In general, the place is an expensive one, especially if you choose from the mid or upper-mid priced wine bottles but I have to admit that at least, it serves satisfactory portions. You can choose glass instead, right? Ordering bottle and staying at low-priced dishes, you can have a fine dinner with a cost at about 60euros/couple. When it starts correcting the atmosphere issue, it could be a strong competitor to other restaurants of the city's center. For the time being, it plays by its own, thanks to the fact that there aren't other restaurants nearby, something that could easily change, though. Finally, the dessert (chocolate sphere) was really great and I suggest it, even if you are full to the top!

Situated on the shore of Aegean Sea, you will not find a better seafood restaurant for lunch or dinner. I was desperate for some grilled king prawns, and Coquille was the place that beckoned me to go in. Clean, bright, welcoming design that uses nautical decors to signal its cuisine. I was able to try the quinoa salad with shrimp ceviche, grilled halloumi cheese, grilled king prawns, black cuttlefish ink risotto, fried calamari and dessert. Every single dish was ideal, tasty and fulfilling. Service was friendly and capable. Pricing was more than fair for the quality of the food here. Highly recommend!

Amazing place next to the sea side area of Thessaloniki. The staff was very friendly and polite. Lot's of great dishes to eat. We preferred to eat sea food that day and all of the dishes were delicious. Also, they serve some dessert afterwards if you like. In our case it was a vanilla ice cream ball and a large piece of chocolate pie. Prices are reasonable.

Unexpectedly good restaurant, with an old recipe specialty for "soutzoukakia" and gyros, but the menu does not stop there any more... Apart from the nicely served food, there is a satisfactory wine selection and the view is ...wow! I would visit again.

Seems that all good reviews are paid and untruthful. Sep 14, evening - we were the only family who was at the restaurant, still before asking us about the drinks we were notified that the minimum order was 50 euro, so, if your order less than 50 then you can go and look for another place to eat. By the time our plates became empty no one approached to remove them from the table, instead 2 waiters were sitting at the table and playing with phones. Is this a service of your restaurant? Well, it is awful and you wont get any customers with this kind of attitude. I give you 2* only for food (it was great!).

I've eaten at Halaro several times now, and each visit has been delightful. The food is consistently well-prepared and delicious. At some restaurants in Greece I experienced the meat to be a little bit on the dryer side. However, not at Halaro. Every time I have eaten here, the meat was soft, but not raw, and very tasteful. The portions a relatively big, sometimes perhaps too big. The service is excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant's stylish design and cool ambiance make for a pleasant dining experience.

The wait staff is very attentive and kind. We enjoyed a nice meal downstairs hoping for a table on the balcony but it was busy. Our food was delicious and fresh. The salads and grilled cheese were perfectly prepared. I especially enjoyed the bean appetizer. We enjoyed each and every bite. We tried a pork dish and some ground beef grilled to perfection. There were leftovers we enjoyed in the Greek mountains for a picnic on our way to Igoumenitsa the following day! A classic at the East-end of Thessaloniki. Very nice atmosphere, excellent service and the food a bit more gourmet than necessary in my humble opinion. I preferred the simple versions of their classics and the Greek salad had a scotch egg in it? But anyway it’s a good experience and very good food.

Halaro is a longstanding restaurant in Thessaloniki that always delivers. The restaurant is well decorated and quite stylish, and the staff is very helpful and attentive. The service was fast and quite efficient. The food also was very nice. Everything that we tried was tasty and the portions were quite generous. I tried the stuffed chicken roll with gnocchi and gravy and was delicious. Also, their wine selection was very nice. Definitely recommend and will visit again in the future.

It's been 10 years since i visited Halaro. Yet it was as i remembered, if not even better! The food is really good and the environment is great, especially from the 1st floor that there is a nice view as well. The prices are cheap compared to the quality and the presentation. Can't wait to go again!

Nice place with good service and food. We arrived around 23:00 when the kitchen was already to close about and we were still able to order the food. Thanks guys! The only one thing that I didn’t like and was disappointed that a lot of people were smoking inside which is normally no go in the restaurants of that level and very uncomfortable for those who are not smoking but have to be passive smoker in that case especially while eating! That’s actually very common in Greece while in the most European countries is forbidden to smoke in the restaurants inside and allowed only if it’s an open air area.

My family and I have been going to Mavri Thalassa for many many years. The quality of service, and most importantly of food never disappoints.. You can’t miss trying the tarama, grilled shrimps, crab salad, fish carpaccio. It is undoubtedly the best restaurant in Thessaloniki! Even though the prices are high, it is worth every penny… not like all other fine dinning restaurants in town.

I was too hungry to take pictures! We had grilled octopus, greek salad, chili balls, a very large fish I don't know what it was, and very good white wine. I got quite full because my colleagues didn't eat like men should but I was quite content! Finished off with Ouzo and all in all this is a very good restaurant with attentive personnel.

Visiting “Mavri Thalassa” was been an amazing culinary trip! We received the highest level of food quality together with an absolutely amazing treatment by both the staff as well as the owner, Mr Tokidis! One of the best restaurants in Thessaloniki. Flavorful and exceptional service. Mainly focusing on fish. They surely know their job. Best plates: Taramas, ceviche. The flat plates: None of the main plates we ordered were flat. Even the fries, were golden and crispy. However the dessert was nothing special. Wide range of wine list.

It's a fine dining experience. Prices are expensive, but totally reflect the final product and it's quality. Each dish we tried was cooked to perfection and flavor wise was one of the best dining experiences I had regarding sea food. Service was excellent, helpful and always there to satisfy our demands. It's not a place you visit every day, but it's a place you should at least visit once, totally worth it!

We had high hopes for this tavern, but unfortunately left disappointed. We ordered a Tsipoura (Gilt-head Seabream), which on the English menu is listed at 79€/kg without any mention of being wild-caught — while the Greek menu specifies it as “Ελευθέρας” (wild). This is misleading for tourists who don’t speak Greek. They showed us the raw fish before cooking, mentioning it was small and the last one available. It looked nowhere near 1kg, yet we were charged 74€, implying it weighed almost a kilo — which it absolutely didn’t. Once cooked and served, it was clearly no more than 300-350g. Service was also quite slow, and overall the experience felt disappointing, especially given the premium pricing. We’d advise others to double-check weights, pricing, and menu details carefully, especially if you’re ordering by the kilo.

Beautiful spot but it seems they try to scam you when ordering seafood by kilo! I have read some negative 1 star reviews here after visiting (wish I had read them before I go) and I totally agree with them! That's exactly what happened to us as well. We ordered 500 grams of fresh fried kalamari and what arrived on our table was a tiny small grilled kalamari that hardly weighted 200 grams (it was so obvious, they didnt even try to at least serve us a 400 grams kalamari that would probably go unnoticed)!! When we mentioned it to the waiter she tried to convince us it's what we ordered!!! We reached a point that we were really upset with this and had to actually go with the kitchen and ask the cook to weight a new kalamari in front of us and cook it again!! Of course the amount of the fried kalamari was so much more than the one the waiter brought us at first! It seems they keep doing that over and over again to customers and if they get away with it that's money in their pockets! I wouldn't go back and do not recommend it of course! It's a shame as it is a beautiful traditional Greek seafood taverna and they are ruining it with this "scams"

The sea food was very good (pasta with smoked salmon) but the chicken was disappointing. The other shared dishes were good (not much better than any other restaurant) but the prices were very high. The servers were very kind and helpful. The atmosphere was nothing special in my eyes. It was right next to the sea but nothing special. I guess that it will be much nicer at night.

We had a wonderful experience here! The food was absolutely delicious – the fish we ordered (sole fish) was extremely fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and even surprised us with two complimentary portions of dessert. Everything was at the highest level and they truly made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The only thing that could be slightly improved is the speed of service, as the food took a bit longer to arrive. Hidden away from the tourist crowds in one of Thessaloniki’s most charming neighborhoods – Pylea – this restaurant is an absolute gem. The food is exceptional: creative, flavorful, and made with real care. The service is equally outstanding – warm, professional, and attentive. Try the octopus with Lefkada salami, the cheese-and-tomato stuffed calamari, the mussel pilaf (midia pilaf), and any of the starters – they’re all worth it. And don’t even think about skipping dessert: the galaktoboureko is mind-blowingly good – crispy, juicy, and unforgettable.

Glykanios in Pylaia is one of the top spots for fish lovers in the area. The seafood is consistently cooked to perfection, and this isn’t my first visit—it's a must on my list every time I'm in Pylaia. I particularly enjoy the fresh raw fish dishes, complemented by the delicious starters and vibrant salads. The grilled shrimp is the star of the show, alongside the expertly grilled fish. The restaurant also offers an impressive wine list, perfectly paired with the meal. For dessert, the homemade options are a lovely way to end an epic dining experience. While the prices may be on the higher side, you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality and freshness.

The restaurant wasn’t busy (around 5:30pm), so we were served straight away; table service was great and attentive. The food was great, and we really enjoyed their food. I loved their prawn linguine, as it’s not very saucy but very tasty and had all the flavour in the pasta linguine. Never had a fava made groncci with octopus; the octopus was very tender. It hit all the notes for me. A little dessert on the house to finish the meal, and that chocolate cake was awesome too. Nice vibes in the restaurant. I would definitely go again.

This is without a doubt the best fish and seafood restaurant experience of Thessaloniki. It has it all. Excellent modern versions of traditional dishes, beautiful ambient and music, one of the best selection of wines and spirits I have seen in Greece and top quality service consistently as I have been coming here for years. Don’t expect Greek tourist trap taverna by the sea. There is no sea view. It’s where the locals with a fine palette and taste go to eat. And for the quality this place is a real bargain. I have been reviewing restaurants across the world and I always hold higher standards for Greek food since I am also Greek but I can’t recommend this place enough. Well done 👏👏👏 keep it up!

We enjoyed a family dinner few weeks ago and is by far one of my favourite seafood restaurants in town! Their menu, besides a great variety of grilled fresh fish, offers a few raw ones, like the ceviche, which blew my mind! Dishes came in a timely manner from knowledgeable staff members, and for the overall perceived quality I felt we got good value for money! Highly recommend, book in advance!

The prices were higher than a usual Greek tavern, however the taste and the size of the dishes were truly justified. I really recommend this place - the food was delicious and everything was fresh. Probably the best place for fish in Thessaloniki. They serve fresh, daily-caught fish that’s cooked to perfection — absolutely delicious. The ingredients used in their salads are both fresh and high-quality. The staff are polite, professional, and maintain a respectful attitude toward customers. Considering the level of service and food quality, the prices are very reasonable. If you want to sit outside and enjoy your meal in a relaxed atmosphere, it’s definitely best to visit in the evening.

Super fresh fish and seafood in a beautiful location in the marina. One of the best prawn saganaki I’ve ever tasted! Highly recommend.

Food was generally nice but the mussels we ordered came covered in tumeric and that smell dominated the dish. Other than that staff and atmosphere were amazing

For start, the area is full of bees. You can't eat normally, you need to check if you're eating a bee too. Now for the food, good quality but not for all plates. The calamari came in 2 pieces, one was good the other did not taste nice. Overall better food than other places but quite expensive too.

I went cause of the rating here on Google. There are sadly, in my opinion, no real surprises on the menu or with the taste. The food was just what it needed to be, not less, not more. We sat inside and the room is also very basic, classic. I dont think it would hurt to modernise it a bit.

Very average restaurant. A big variety of food, but hardly we can call it delicious. Ceaser salad had sweet corn as an ingredient. Pasta was pretty dry. There was only one dessert on the menu.

They brought us a San Pellegrino without asking, which cost €6.50 — and it wasn’t even listed on the menu. We just wanted a regular mineral water. This felt dishonest, especially since we’re tourists. Transparency is important, and this wasn’t okay.

First we waited 30 minutes for the waiter to come to us, then they forgot to bring the wine. But the best thing is that we waited an hour for the bill. And we approached the waiter 4 times. Terrible service!

Firenze is a standard for italian cuisine. panacotta is not good. Stop offering it.

I was ordered 2x spaghetti bolognese ( I say that 3 times and show 2 fingers), papardelle and tagliatelle with spinach. We came as family 4 person. Restaurant deserved 3x spaghetti, papardelle and tagliatelle. I don't accept that third portion of bolognese which I don't ordered. Finally when I paid, I don't have time for check that in restaurant, at the airport I was checked and I was paid for mistake Miss waitresses. Generally food was excellent, portions are big. But that mistake leeds for that 2 star in generally.

Menu doesn’t match what you receive I was very displeased. I visited this place as we craved pasta so I order mixed mushrooms pappardelle and I was given pappardelle with just white button mushrooms! I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. And when I asked I was told there were three mushroom types what a JOKE!!!

Though it was crowded and we had to wait 15 minutes for a table, the overall experience is positive. The service once you sit down is fast. The waiters are friendly. The pasta we ordered was very good. We liked the deco and the atmosphere in general. Nice place to eat with the family or spouse. The prices are reasonable. We spent 30 euros for the pasta and two glasses of wine.

Wanted to have coffee only, even though the bar was completly empty they did not want to serve me as they are not serving only coffee but have to take food as well!!!

There was a time that Solomonidis was one of the best fast food restaurants but not anymore, we had two sandwiches and one rizoto. Potatoes was cold and rizoto full with oil. The place was clean and the stuff very kind, prices definitely expensive for the quality of the food but portions was quite big.

The food is good and tasty. That's the only good thing really. The restaurant has NO POS MACHINE. After we have eaten, I wanted to pay by card and I was told the machine is not serviced. Absolutely unacceptable. They should inform customers from the beginning. The receipt was not issued properly and itemised, it was just a total amount! This place needs to shut down. Obviously they seem to avoid paying taxes and cheat their customers. They should be evicted. NOT GOING THERE AGAIN.

Great food. The place has big terrace and it open till 3:00 am. Everything is calm and the employees are very friendly. Everyone knows english so its very easy to understand. They will suggest you the freshest food on the menu and it will give you the best suggestions based on your needs. Super friendly local. You need to try the beef file it’s delicious!

We ordered 4 items, one of which did not even arrive and as for the other 2, they put the wrong ingredients. 3/4. The cashier inside was not wearing a mask, was extremely rude and did not care at all about us when we told her that they never brought us our missing item. She did not charge us fortunately.

Solomonidis is an excellent restaurant offering gyros, souvlaki, chicken and pork dishes, and seafood. We came with a large group and they were very accommodating. The greek salad and kafteri were scrumptious, and the chicken souvlaki tender and juicy. The food was delicious and prices were fair. A good place to visit in Kalamaria.

A nice place, freshly prepared food. We got some fried calamari and grilled pork & chicken skewers. Good taste and balanced portions. Served with water and bread that will be charged extra for a few euro. It seems to be a common practice here. The grilled cheese with sweet toping was a tastfull surprise. A well balanced and hearty taste rounded up by sweet local wine. Overall a good experience and a clear recommendation!

I dined at this seafood taverna in Kalamaria with my friend, and I must say, all the seafood we ordered was remarkably fresh and perfectly cooked. The waitstaff's assistance in navigating the menu, especially given my limited knowledge of Greek, was greatly appreciated, and their friendly and attentive service added to the pleasant experience.

First full impression from this place. Contrary to our last visit when we left the restaurant because they have never served us, this time the service was very good. The dishes arrived on time and all the staff were very friendly. However, we were not very happy with food. Fried zucchini and aubergines were tasty, together with octopus and shrimps/mussels orzotto. French fries, split peas, sardines and archive were average. The atmosphere is pretty nice and looks like a vintage grocery store. Would I come again? I guess yes to try new dishes as well.

Oh my. Please come out of the centre of Thessaloniki to eat here! Fresh, delicious food served so kindly and efficiently. I Had fried anchovies for the first time which are out of this world!

Lovely place.. great food, very nice people and a lovely atmosphere. There is entrance and an area for strollers and disabled people and the same applies for the WC access. There may be a small issue with the parking, but whenever I've been there I had no trouble finding a space nearby. Overall a very pleasant experience that I would recommend it to anyone.

Everything was really tasty and size of portions good. Reasonable prices as well. Things to improve could be to provide wet towels after eating fish as it can get messy and make sure that the drinks arrive at the beginning.

If you’re in the eastern part of the city and love seafood and fish you should definitely do your self the favor and visit this place. Easily one of the best taverns for seafood and fish with amazing recipes prepared with lots of love. The staff and owners are very friendly and kind and offer a very warm experience. My wife and i had some starters and mains here. Both starters and mains were well cooked, portions were reasonable big, and the presentations were absolutely good. Last year when I went there my dinner was lovely. This time it was the exact opposite. The menu is extremely overpriced for the dishes which they offer. The weed salad 🥗 was almost raw and tasted horrible. The prawns 🦐 were extremely grilled, burned and cold on top of that (nearly 20€ as a dish). The service was slow and very rude. Then the grilled octopus 🐙 was half of the portion that I received the previous time and again MORE THAN JUST COLD. Half of the chips 🍟 were not even nearly cooked. When I reported all those issues to the manager he had a very arrogant and rude attitude claiming that nobody else had any complaints and that the chef 👨‍🍳 even had the same food. Completely unprofessional, overpriced and no common sense of costumer service in any case. I went with my family and I ordered some of the most expensive stuff on the menu and they didn’t take care of the dishes. They were totally disrespectful from an early start. I used to be a local and I can tell the difference between ignorance, rip-off, bad quality and average. This was below average. I demanded to pay less than generated as all those incidents were completely ridiculous. Friendly advice and especially if you are a tourist! DO NOT GO THERE! There are numerous fresh fish taverns in the area to choose from. The only good aspect of them is the location. Apart from that I wouldn’t recommend them in any case. Some of the worst experience I ever had as a costumer! 🤯🤬😡

Great variety of perfectly cooked seafood. Can't beat the location right on the water, and close to town. Parking is easy, a big plus. Cold beer and tsiporo. Octopus, squid, sardines, you name it; nice salad to accompany the seafood.

Triaktis serves good quality, classic Greek cuisine.. nothing particularly different or special about the food! But it's the venue that's special! It sits right on the water's edge (I always dip my feet in the sea!), opposite Olympus (and the sunset) and the view back towards Thessaloniki is also pretty special! 🥰👍 Book for a good table as it gets busy!

The personnel is friendly. They have good and tasty breakfast until 14:00 and after 14:00 they serve lunch. The "garden" is comfortable and good covered against the summer sun and inside is enough space however people smoke inside which is a no go ! The Wine and the Whiskey choice is solid which means everyone should find somethings tasty :) They also serve good variety of coffee.

We had a wonderful dinner at Vrachos in Thessaloniki. The φαγκρί was perfectly grilled, fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. The steamed mussels were delicious and well-seasoned, and the salads were fresh and nicely balanced. The salads and the Mastelo cheese were excellent too, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere relaxed yet elegant. Definitely one of the best seafood experiences we’ve had in Thessaloniki! Highly recommended!

A little bit off the beaten path, with the entrance tucked away behind an apartment building, the restaurant is worth finding. Dining is available on multiple levels, from indoors seating to "right above the waves" tables. Staff is exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, and the service was fast despite the lunch rush hour. All the dishes were excellent, with the octopus standing out as succulent and extremely flavorful, cooked to perfection. The baked eggplant was delicious as well, with a sizable quantity of feta cheese crumbled on top. What's more, unlike past experiences at other restaurants, garlic wasn't the flavor that drowned out all other flavors this appetizer has to offer. Notably, even the (white) house wine was of reasonable quality. A slightly pricey experience but worth it for the location, the ambience, the quality of food and service.

Came here with family for a Sunday lunch, it was an immaculate experience. Beautiful views of the Thermaic Gulf with some of the freshest seafood I've had in a while. The service was quick and friendly and everything was delicious. Highly recommend!

Lovely family run restaurant by the sea side. It has two decks by the sea with increasing views, it’s an incredible spot for sunset hours. We really enjoyed the fried courgette, the octopus 🐙 and mahi-mahi fried with lemon butter. Fish is super fresh, the charge is per 100g, around €5-60 for a mahi-mahi on the picture and it’s more than enough to share between 3-4 people with other starters

Exclusive place for wonderful lunch or dinner. Sea food menu, meat, vines. The only thing: ask about the size of dish, because fish dish could be prepared all, and it sometimes 1 kg. Too much for 1 and expensive. Fantastic view for sunset, Olympic mountains and nice music around

We had a great brunch at this wonderful bakery. The service was nice and the coffee and food came quickly. Both the avocado toast and grilled cheese were delicious and the coffee reminded me of the great specialty coffee from back home in Bucharest. Would definitely come here again when in Thessaloniki!

We visited this place today and even though there was a small party going on and it was quite busy, the service was still super fast and friendly. We ordered the Beast and the Grilled Cheese — soooo delicious! The coffee was great too. As for the party — amazing music and a great DJ! We didn’t expect a party at all, so it was a really fun surprise.

A nice and cozy place to spend your Sunday. The coffee is really nice. The service is good and fast even on peak time. The prices depending on what you order some of them are high and some are ok for the quantity. The presentation of the food is really nice. The only thing that I didn’t like was on the bread, its really nice but every time a had a bite I could taste that it was burnt and I couldn’t enjoy the taste. Next time I ll just ask them not to bring it like this but overall it’s a really nice place.

Ordered a delivery from them and was pleasantly surprised with the quality. Dishes, despite being regular simple Greek food, represented higher level than you usually get in a regular taverna. Salad was super fresh and was served with amazing vinaigrette, fried cod and courgette were not greasy at all. Much recommended!

We have visited the place during the first Day of the year on occasion of our son's nameday. The food is exceptional. It is very good that it has the option of both meat and fish. Additionally, there is a playground on the upper level, with overwatching staff that is also a plus! The toilets though need some more additional light and cleaning improved. Moreover, the service was a bit slow, thus needing some improvement, but perhaps in our case it was due to the busy day. It was also our first time here. We will have it in mind as it is one of the few places where you can come to eat with kids, since it has the playground. Thank you.

Italian restaurant in Kalamaria, Thessaloniki. It is in front of the bay and, if you sit on the terrace, you will have views of it. The food is very good, the pizzas are very big and the fresh pasta...😍😍 It's a bit more expensive than other options in the area, yet it's still cheap by the standards of a tourist from other parts of Europe or the USA. 100% recommended

A contemporary and cozy place to have coffee, lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is good, and the cuisine has a great variety. One unique feature is that this restaurant has a kids playground on the first floor, along with a caretaker. Very clean and with many toys. So, you can enjoy your meal while your kids are having fun upstairs! Highly recommended.

Well! I gave three stars for the location and the Design and also the wine list! Really nice and modern cafe:restaurant in a nice location! But... lots of problems! First of all in an empty restaurant(we went Wednesday afternoon) service was unbelievable slow! We waited almost 45 min to eat! Order took wrong! We received our main course before our appetizers and also one appetizer was totally forgotten! The young lady who served us was polite but in my opinion not properly dressed for a place like that (she was wearing Workout pants) ! Other than the slow service food was good , prices little bit more than others but ok for me ! Also they didn’t placed us because they wanted to know if we will have kids in our party! Like come on... it’s Wednesday night and you have two more tables let us sit! But that’s a request from the owner not the service problem! Honestly an ok experience but wouldn’t recommend!

We went for valentine's dinner. The place was super cozy yet romantic, the food perfectly cooked and the wine list HUGE. Very interesting pairings and flavours to try for all fish, meat, soups. Parking area is available nearby. The staff was very kind to us and even offered blankets for the people sitting outdoors, even though there was heating.

It has a large list of wines, domestic and imported, wonderful cocktails and very tasty food. It is a bit expensive for the size of the food portions. Staff is very polite but needs a little training concerning the speed for delivering orders.

It's the little gestures that make a restaurant great: A warm welcome framed with a smile. Each table is adorned by a small dry-erase bouquet. On the tables is a non-glare light, handy for reading your menu. Art on the wall! The food was tasteful and creatively composed. A feast for the eyes and a treat for the tongue. The space was also decorated with care with well-seated chairs and with nice lighting without being too bright. Beautifully decorated. The three kind, sweet and efficient girls in the service deserve special praise. Kudos. One small downside: I don't know what the general policy is, but after a meal I like it when the table is cleared before you start your cocktail. Ending on a plus note: afterwards you get a delicious glass of liqueur on the house. I'll be back.

The best wine bar in the area. Wine list has both Greek and International wines. Food pairing is excellent, do try the salad with Strawberries and Salmon, the Tombinambur plate and Risotto alla Milanese. Service is highly professional but friendly aswell.

Authentic Greek restaurant. Last weekend we (two families with kids) visited this restaurant for a luch. Two seniors were playing guitars and singing, creating great atmosphere. At first waiter was friendly, until he discovered we are from Croatia. He said we can order only fish and chips. So, we did. For kids we took three portions of meat balls. He brought the chips first. We ordered chips for another round, he said he will bring it. But, he didn’t. Half an hour later he brought two portions of meatballs for kids, instead of three, Expaining that he does not have enough of meat for the third portion. He asked us why did we choose to come to Greece and visit their restaurant. We tried to explain all beauties of Greece, people and culture we experienced so far. He added that he does not understand why are we comeing to the place where our enemies are?!?! Then he explained that Serbians are there. We said we do not have enemies, do not hate anyone and do not live in the past. He went inside talking to someone over the phone. He returned back, asking us to translate song of the Croatian singer Thompson. He was obvoiusly instructed to do so. Fish was ok. Desert was ok. Restaurant not clean. People in the restaurant were all Greeks, and they interacted with us and we enjoyed it. However, a week after I am still remembering the bitter taste because of the waiter. Maybe I should have said that part of our group were Serbians, and than we would be able to choose that wonderfull food that was offered to other people sitting next to us.

One traditional fish food restaurant on the east side of Thessaloniki City, in the municipality of Kalamaria. The place is simple but the plates are large and the rates are very fair.

Imvros is by far one of the best local resaturants in all the city. From the rice and mussels to the tzatziki, it was authentic Greek cooking. Ironically the other restaurant equal to this was another ouzeri called Lolas. Real Greek food in a nice atmosphere with lovely owners and staff that make you feel like you're at Yiayia's house eating Sunday supper. Always nice to walk away full and satisfied when you spend your hard earned money on eating out.

Excellent seafood and fish! Family held restaurant where everybody is incredibly polite and smiling. Prices are very acceptable and the food was fresh and delicious. Home wine was good. We got there searching for the other restaurant nearby, which was closed that day... we are glad it was! One more thing, the restaurant was full of local greeks, which usually means that the service, prices and food are great...in this case we can confirm that rule... How can this place only have a 4,3? The only explanation I could give is that Thessalonians are extremely critical when it comes to food. This place is a blessing; sympathic service, fresh fish and everything cooked to perfection. Recommended!

This is the best restaurant of Peraia!! The food is really fresh and tasty ! I highly recommend the grilled octopus and tzatziki. The view on the sea and the sunset makes the place really romantic and cozy !

Very fancy place on the coast with a great view of the sea and the sailboats. We came for a late breakfast/brunch at 1 PM, and thankfully, we could still order (lunch starts at 2 PM). The food and portion sizes were good, excellent for sharing. The coffee was great as well. Even at that time, there was a DJ playing good music, not too loud. Usually, my experience in Greece with service is not good, but here everything was quick, and the (Albanian ;-) ) waitress was very friendly and helpful.

What a fantastic bar with a stunning view of the port and the beautiful yachts! My wonderful local friends introduced me to this gem. The service was truly exceptional, and the drinks were absolutely delightful. Plus, the prices were quite reasonable. Took my daughter to this bar - showing her a more upmarket side to Thessaloniki (even though she's lived in Thess for 8 years) The actual place is well designed, modern and stylish. We sat outside and watched the sunset. The seats were quite uncomfortable as there was nowhere to put you feet to face the sea. quite difficult to enjoy your drink. A glass of wine was 8 euro and they only gave us one tiny tub of nuts, no meze, like other similar bars had given us (Ciel) I did see people with a meze with cocktails (16 euro) Would I go again, maybe yes at a similar time just to see the sunset.

Authentic no frills greek seafood served by traditional family 2nd visit , food is always fresh and wonderfully prepared with simplicity and clearness in taste. Marinated cold appetizers are delectable without being over salty. Every dish is done right. Price is very reasonable. Will come again

It's a very nice and cosy restaurant. The place is not something special but the food is really good. We appreciated that the service was fast, attentive, and friendly. They have a lot of options in their menu from a small fish like a nibble to share, to a big tasty, freshly daily picked fish that I highly recommend.

Situated in the main seaside street in Krini, this is a somewhat elevated traditional gyros place. Apart from the traditional gyros, pantseta etc, you can have some more "advanced" meat dishes here. My favourite is kid on the spit, finished in the wood oven. You can also eat some nice salads and greek cheeses
