Ο γιαλός is a seaside restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience. We had the mixed sea food plate (with small fishes and shrimps), salad, soft drinks and some ouzo and it was all extremely tasty. The view from the sea side terasse was great and the service fast and friendly. So absolutely recommended by us.

Service was slow. Starter showed up with the main dishes instead at the beginning. Some dish with beef was fine but mixed grill meat plate was a huge mistake. The meat was very difficult to eat (a lot of veins) and too dry. Olives jam was tasty and coke was sweet. At the end We got tasty fruits as free desert
Wonderful restaurant with a wide selection of Greek food. Friendly service, good location and nicely decorated. Prices seemed good and this place is always busy. Friefeta with sesame and honey was very good, as we're the home made potato chips, mushrooms, Moussaka, Greek pita, aubergine, courgette, peppers, tsatsiki, burger patties (not a burger in a bun) and house wine. Recommended.
If you want to eat fresh fish it is the place! We got to see before we ordered the selection of fresh fish and took a red snapper. Nicely prepared and served by the waiter. Good price for the quality!

Fresh fish at a lovely location by the beach! The octopus was a bit overdone but the black ink squid was tasty. We were also offered a nice sweet treat on the house!
We went there 2 people for swimming and dinner. Very nice organised beach . The food was best with very nice prices. The very best shrimp pasta we ever had. A must for visit when at Rhodes.

Visited this Greek Tavern a few nights ago, the food was amazing traditional home cooked Greek food, the owner Stelios and co workers we hospitable personally greeted every one that walked to their restaurant and made them feel they have known you for years.
We tried a variety of dishes each one amazing.

We happened to walk by and noticed the Krefeld logo, and the atmosphere looked amazing, so we decided to go in for a meal. We were warmly welcomed and taken great care of. It’s always busy, yet they still try to find a way to get you a table. The food was fabulous, with no long waiting times, and the service really stood out – simply wonderful!
We visited this restaurant for the first time based on the reviews. We had grilled bream. We are professionals in the hotel business and we have to admit that everything was perfect. We really appreciated the reasonable portions of food. Here the portions were adequate. We had the Retsina from Rhodes Cair - classic . But you have to like it. And we do. Be sure to visit during your visit to this place. You will be rewarded with perfectly done grilled fish.

We found this place by chance and were surprised by the very friendly, fast and kind service and food. We ordered different starters to share and moussaka as main dish. The food and wine are very tasty and affordable. We got ouzo and a coffee liqueur at the and as little gift from the restaurant.

This place has overcome all my expectations. This is a true Greek restaurant in a little town. The personal is very welcoming. The owner is nice and friendly, but the best part of this restaurant is the food (obviously). We ordered many dishes and there were massive portions. Everything was extremely good and at the end the owner use to delight his guests with a Greek coffee liqueur offered from him. It is a place to try if you are anywhere in this island.
Locals and tourista are usually gatthered to taste great local food so better reserve in advance. Atmosphere is nice and the staff friendly. Worths more than a visit

Upon discovering positive reviews, I deliberately visited Maria Tavern, a charming family-owned eatery boasting a warm atmosphere. The outdoor seating brimmed with locals relishing in traditional cuisine alongside their loved ones. Despite the bustling crowd, the staff exhibited remarkable efficiency and professionalism. Given the scorching weather, we opted for refreshing appetizers like taramas salad, aubergine salad, and Greek salad. Additionally, we indulged in delectable shared portions of small fried fish.
We were recommended to come here by our rental car provider on our trip to Tsambika beach and was not disappointed. From the car park you can smell the amazing food. We were seated in the outdoor area which is a very nice garden with a number of tables. We ordered the belly pork, lamb chop and Greek salad. The meat was fresh from the grill and I think probably the best meat I have ever tasted. The salad fresh and full of flavour.
We really felt like we were looked after like family, despite us not being locals.
Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer as we had to leave in a hurry to return our rental car. We will definitely return!

The best restaurant in Rhodes. After trying different one… we came back to Maria Tavern every single day. We tried various options from the menu and everything was delicious. The owner is an absolutely lovely person who made us feel like at home.
We returned to the same place after two years, with fond memories and hopes of repeating those experiences. And we were not disappointed! The same family atmosphere, a child-friendly place, lots of space and that local atmosphere... Something wonderful. This time we ordered a Greek salad (of course) and dolmades as starters, and then a real feast - souvlaki, lamb, fried calamari and - as recommended by the host who took the order - a Greek specialty, kid with beans. Delicious! And at the end we got an ice cream cone (there were four of us - two adults and two children). It is definitely worth eating here! I definitely recommend it.
Good taste, very friendly waiter, portions are big. Just to let you know, you are going to wait little bit once the foods are preparing. If you have time, it’s the best place for relaxation and for your stomach.

Delicious dinner, have many gluten free options and the staff are very knowledgeable. They fry everything separately so the chips are gluten free and no contamination, the server told us they do any fried item separately so the flavours aren’t altered from the oil, which is great for us GF people!

After trying several well-known restaurants, I found the most authentic ones in the Tsambika area. Maria tavern is so good that I visited twice and everything has been excellent. I tried seasonal greens, tzatziki, dolmades, lamb chops, goat stew, and Greek salad; every dish was flavorful and truly authentic. The food is not tourist-oriented, prices are fair, and you’ll also see Greek families dining here, which says a lot. Highly recommended!

The Greek restaurant Ταβέρνα Εδέμ offers a pleasant atmosphere and friendly, efficient service. It is well-prepared to accommodate large crowds with multiple waitresses and a fast kitchen. The food, although not exceptional, is still tasty especially the cheese balls, grilled dorado, and humus with pita. Families with young children visiting or returning from Tsampikos beach can confidently choose this restaurant.
The food is truly amazing and the service is really nice. I even got a mojito made with a fresh lemon that the owner plucked from a tree!
I can only recommend it. Avoid those overpriced bars near the beach, here is the place you should go!

After spending a few days in Rhodes and mostly dining at touristy spots as most restaurants are on the island, we decided to seek out a more authentic local restaurant—and that’s when we found Tavern Edem. It did not disappoint! Easily the best meal we had during our entire stay. The food was traditional and perfectly cooked—just the way it should be. We tried a couple dishes, moussaka and stifado, both were absolutely incredible—highly recommended. The service was excellent, and the owner was friendly and attentive, ensuring we were comfortable and enjoying our meal. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting!

Yesterday we went to Taverne Edem for dinner, and everything was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The house wine is excellent, and the food is homemade, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The desserts were also delicious.
The location is peaceful, set in the mountains under the trees, which makes it even more special. At the end of the evening, we enjoyed a great conversation with the owner and shared a few drinks together.
I will definitely come back!
Awesome service, amazing atmosphere and great people. It is a family business and they will recommend everything that you need to eat there. They will not serve you “tourist trap food” like gyros or sea food which is refrigerated. They will only provide you fresh food. Everything is freshly made and the food has actual TASTE! You get to have a talk with the owner, his wife and child and they are all involved. Highly recommend this place! Also, it is very quiet and the right place to enjoy a quiet diner. The best Greek taverna, which is actually a Greek taverna per se, not as you see in the tourist areas.

Hidden gem near Tsambika beach
If you are looking for an authentic local restaurant in the heart of an olive grove that will not disappoint you, with a friendly atmosphere and delicious food with essential taste this is the perfect place to stop.
A quiet place where you can also bring the children who can run and play safely while you wait for the food.
We have been visiting the tavern for 3 years and it never ceases to surprise us every time!
The wonderful family that runs the tavern makes this a place like home, surrounded by friends where you are always greeted with a smile.

Our preferate restaurant in Rhodes! It is close to the Tsambika beach, where it is wonderful especially if you are with kids. The restaurant has a cosy familiar air, the food is great, i fell in love with the calamari, the clams and the kebab. What I loved the most was the garden, very peaceful and cosy with lots of toys for children, with wonderful hosts. The staff is very friendly, honest and they speack english and german. After being there 14 days in a row, we got to know each other and they knew exactly what to recommend us for eating and drinking. My daughter loved the place, as everyday she played in the garden with the cats ( they have 6-7 cats:) and their dog ( a very pretty pudel). Also, they have an air hockey machine where children can play. After each lunch or dinner they offered something from the house ( baclava cake or cold melon). During daytime the garden is refreshing because of the shaddow there, during evening is beautiful due to the small lights and the music. I highly recommend this place and I am eager to come back to Rhodes and to Edem❤️

Really enjoyed a tasty homestyle meal. Up on the
Hill above Stegna the Taverna has some lovely views to the Ocean and Stegna and the fort. There is some seating that has the best views so I would recommend booking to reserve those seats. Other seating in the open restaurant is up in the trees to provide a nice outlook also. We had the lamb chops, some aubergine dip and a Greek salad. All delicious super fresh produce used. Beer was nice and cold. Very reasonable pricing for good quality and delicious traditional homestyle food. Get there in time to enjoy the view before dark.

We went as a group of 7 adults. The food was the best. Delicately cooked Cuttle fish cooked in ink. Fresh pitarudia/fried veg patties, greek salad, feta cheese and honey, fried vegetables and fries.
This place was one of the best restaurants we have been to on Rhodes for freshly cooked food and the service was good as expected. It is a place the locals frequent and very good value.
Beautiful food in a beautiful setting! The restaurant is located on the way down to Stegna beach so the views down to the bay are gorgeous. Everything we have tried from the menu has always been delicious and the staff are SO hospitable and kind!

Probably the best taverna we visited through all vacation. Place is amazing with a spectacular view to the beach. All surounded by olive and fig trees. Taverna itself is beautiful. Staff is very friendly. Food is fantastic. Portions are big. We ordered local fish and sea bass. The bill was a pleasant surprise as for sea bass, local fish, burger, greek salad, 2 orange and 2 cherry juice, 500ml local wine, ice cream and frape we paid only 61 euro. That was even cheaper than we paid for half the dishes in Afantou center.
Though google maps dirrctions was a bit misleading we found it. Maps lead us to nowhere but actually taverna was almost there just down the cliff, so we had to go down the road for couple of hundred meters and there was a sign to taverna. Go straight to cliff through narrow street. You wont be disappointed.
Nice location, good food, friendly staff. We had schrimps saganaki, greek style meatballs (normally served with rice, but this time I ordered fries instead) and moussaka. Tip: the moussaka is Fabulous! (The best we ate on the island so far).
Filled with cats curiously eyeing your food. Food itself is of good quality. Schrimps saganaki had intestines inside them which is not ideal, but were otherwise very delicious and well paired with cheese. Good fresh juice too. Also nice view to the sea.

We also ordered sea bream, well cooked and delicious, mezzes are also delicious, portions are very big, definitely recommend if you come Rhodes

i stopped there for a light lunch while traveling from lindos to rhodes, however it turned out to be a big lunch!
since i already had dinner plans with some seafood, i opted for a salad, and some pasta.
the food was overall good, the views from the place was serene. the parking is also nice. however if you’re sitting at a secluded part of the restaurant, sometimes it’s hard to get noticed by the waiters.
the mushrooms with garlic was really tasteful, the panorama salad was huge and delicious. however the bolognese sauce had a bit too much cumin to my taste, but it was still nice.
their menu clearly states which items are vegetarian which is a huge bonus for people who are looking for that information.

We stopped here for lunch on our way back to Rhodes. The food was amazing and view breathtaking. Staff were welcoming and friendly and it felt a place that was a very family run establishment and built on love and excellent service. We couldn’t have asked for more and will try to revisit during our stay in Rhodes.
High up on the hill. Beautiful views. Nice menu with all the usual Greek offering. Service was fast and friendly. Starters were excellent. Nice Coffee.
Incredible panoramic views. The restaurant is absolutely bursting with atmosphere and charm. The food was decent - nice souvlaki and tasty shrimp saganaki, and fresh tzatziki. Plus a free plate of cold watermelon at the end was very Greek and highly appreciated. The Greek salad was strange though having lettuce in it (perhaps an addition for the tourists?)
The view is nice and the waiters are quick. We sat outside on the terrace and didn't have to wait to be seated.
However, there were many wasps and the food did not taste good. My souvlaki looked like it was an off-the-shelf product in a supermarket.

Taverne Manolis Mavrios is a consistent and unchanging restaurant that has been visited multiple times over the span of six years. The food is fantastic and comes in large portions. The Greek salad is enormous, the fries are delightful, and the chicken is packed with flavor. The owner provides efficient service, being direct and to the point without any issues. It's a great place to sit, eat, and observe the lively atmosphere of Archangelos.
We eat 3 times there , the food is excellent instead of bad reviews from many people , we tried souvlaki, gyros , Greek salat , calamari , stifado and mousaka ( Greek traditional food ) , fish and lamb we didn’t try but we saw at other tables that looked very good and tasty . All the food have big portions and you can’t eat all only if you are very hungry . The owner is just crazy and charismatic , a lot of bad reviews I read here about his attitude but he is a good person , he is serving very fast at all tables so he don’t have time to talk much , in the end all was good and tasty you can see the photos.

Found this nice Greek Tavern, when trying to find an optician's, which the village of Archangelos had. Stopped for lunch and thought I'd have a quick bite to eat and a cold glass of wine. I ordered Tzatziki and chicken and chips. Food was fresh, tasty and huge portions. Don't eat for a week before coming lol. Tzatziki was out of this world and came with a loaf of bread. Chicken was a half chicken with a ton of chips. I ended up sharing my Tzatziki with two Italian lads, as it was just too much for one person. Highly recommend this place. Good service, great food, interesting atmosphere. I paid 19 euro for Tzatziki, chicken and chips, glass of wine (very nice by the way) and a big bottle of water.

I would recommend to go there around dinner time, because the grill will only be used then.

🚨🚨🚨TAKE MY ADVICE, if you are a soft, gentle and sensitive customer who expects to be pampered by the staff at nice restaurants, avoid this place at all costs or you will be in for a treat from the lovely owner😂 Watching this guy running, serving, cooking, yelling and swearing was another experience of its finest.

Food is absolutely banging 🔨 Portion sizes are huge. I’m 100kg (220lbs) 🐷big boy and a single main course gave me a hard time to finish so bring friends to share. Also the prices are hard to beat around here

Taverna Athiri Garden is a wonderful, typically Greek taverna located very close to the beach. It offers a lovely family atmosphere and a truly cozy garden seating area.
We ordered a feast for two and everything was delicious: Greek Salad, Halloumi, Moussaka, and a Gyros plate. Every dish was flavourful and perfectly prepared.
Highly recommend this place for an authentic and very satisfying meal!
I've visited Rhodes 8 times in the past 15 years, with either friends or family, and every year we go to to this place when visiting Tsambika. I really like the homey feeling of this taverna, which is run by a family (check the photos inside!). The price/ quality of the food and the overall atmosphere is very authentic. Needless to say, I've created a lot of great memories here and hope this visit wasn't the last one!

This place is a gem!
This wonderful little taverna is located on the way to Tsambika beach. The prices are decent. We had some small shrimps from Symi (a must-try!), aubergine salad, tzatziki, pita bread, and feta with honey. I don't know what was more delicious! After we finished, we were given two slices of watermelon to refresh ourselves.
The interior is typical Greek.
The only downside is that cards don't work, so you must pay in cash.
We love this place so much.. we had to re visit again this year. It's so pretty and in a great location on route to tsampika beach. The owners / staff are so friendly you feel like family. The food is delicious and cooked fresh. The lamb is amazing. The little touches of free ice creams or melon is great. They even cut me a bunch of grapes from the vine which were tasty. Can't fault this place. A little gem. We love you. We will be back ❤️

On my last evening in Rhodes, I chose to dine at Anemos Taverna, a small plates restaurant. The establishment was busy, and I had to wait for about 10 minutes before being seated. Unfortunately, the service started off slowly as it took around 10-15 minutes for my order to be taken and another 10 minutes for drinks to arrive.
This place has the best Greek food we have been to yet. We would go to Lindos beach and head back to our hotel in the Rhodes area. Nice stop off to the side with a gorgeous view. Upon walking in you must ask for your table and they will seat you. One of the ladies is not the friendliest, the man is quite happy to seat you and get you started. The menu offered many dishes. They come in smaller portions and you can easily share amongst each other. We stopped here twice as we were highly impressed with the quality and flavor. Giving us a chance to try more dishes we couldn’t decide on too. The Greek salad was the best salad my daughter has had in all the Greek islands she wanted me to note. The baked feta was a favorite dish of ours. Zucchini fries, pita & tzatziki sauce, pork with vegetables, and calamari were all wonderful. The price was affordable. Worth the stop!

Good place with fresh food. Had the fried pork with vegetables with could have been more juicy and more flavourful as it also lacked enough feta, but the Greek salad was fresh and the fried squid was fresh and tasty. Good value for money.

A gem! Small restaurant, simple, approachable prices and very polite staff. We got aubergine salad (a dream) shrimps with ouzo sauce, fried potatoes and toasted traditional sourdough bread and paid and they were all fresh and tasty. I truly recommend it.

Really delicious food and very friendly owner/chef. It’s a one man band with his possible son helping him with the cooking as well so do note that it takes time for him to cook as he cooks once you order. We had the pork stew and moussaka and both were delicious. As we were waiting we kept seeing some locals getting roast chicken takeouts and I was so tempted to order more food though we would definitely be overeating if we do so…. We ordered 0.5L of wine too and when we finished the owner brought some desserts and ouzo on the house! Will definitely come back to this amazing restaurant in the future

I would gladly give five stars for the excellent food and fair pricing. However, I must deduct one star due to a serious health and legal concern.
Despite Greek law (Article 17, Law 3868/2010) banning smoking in roofed public spaces since 2010, smoking was allowed under the covered dining area. This exposed non-smoking guests to secondhand smoke, with no action taken by the staff.
It's disappointing to see such disregard for both public health and the law. While the food and service were otherwise great, basic legal compliance and respect for all guests should be non-negotiable.

The portions are large and the price is average for Rhodes. A great place to eat and the beach is very nice too.

Our child also has extensive allergies and they were very well considered. No allergic reaction happened from the foods. The burger is so juicy as it’s homemade. So simple ingredients give you the best experience. Once you try it you will always want to have it. The food was lovely here, and wasn't too expensive compared to other places. However, the restaurant wasn't clean and staff weren't very friendly - I was sat at a table a while before I worked out that there wasn't any table service. The QR code menu at the table didn't work so I had to find a menu and eventually place my order.
I would recommend this place based on the good food and portion size, but the service and cleanliness could be much better.

However the food wasn’t good: calamari were unfreshed, gyros was with small meal and unfinished fried chips - awful.

We only tried multiple starters, portions were generous and more important the flavors were out of this world. Specifically the stuffed squid 🦑 (a specialty of the house) was a heavenly experience.

Maybe we went there at a wrong day, but in contrary to most reviews we were not satisfied.
Although it started well with a delicious Tirokafteri, but already the Fava tasted stale. Roasted bread 🤷♂️ unspectacular.
The grilled salmon was heavily overcooked, so was the seabass. The latter to an intense, that one side was extremely crunchy, without the opportunity to filet it properly, while the other side was not grilled at all. Forgot to flip? Therefore one side reasonable, the other really dry and overcooked

Unfortunately I forgot to take photos except for the well done Baklava.
The staff was friendly, too lax with proper mask wearing, but uncoordinated. One plate removed milliseconds after the last bite, while one empty starter plate remained until we went home. Although just 3-4 tables were occupied this caused visible stress.
Maybe we had bad luck at that day. But there are plenty of good restaurants at Stegna. Not worth to try Florentina Di mare once again.

Jack's Cocktail - Beach Bar is a fantastic spot for chilling in Stegna, offering excellent food and drinks served by a friendly team. The beach bar features air-conditioned interiors, clean toilets, beautiful decor, and sunbeds on the beach. With modern interior design and music, it provides a marvelous view of the beach. It's an ideal place for breakfast with a beautiful atmosphere and great coffee right at the beach.
Very nice place, beautiful beach and bar, it's calm and cozy. We spent a week here and came every day. Really nice people and tasty food, you can have by the sea. 15 euros for the beds and umbrella with the beautiful seaview. Our thanks to Jack's bar. We were enjoying every day there :)

We came here two nights in a row, one evening just for drinks and the other for some late night food.
We ate sushi and it was very good and freshly made which surprised us given the time of the day. The staff were young but very polite and helpful even though we were a bit shy with my friend.
The atmosphere is very nice and we found ourselves admiring the decorations both nights.
The drinks were also really good and we will definitely return if we’re ever in stegna again.

I do not recommend this bar to people accustomed to the quality of mixology in European capitals. This will be a rural option. We waited a long time for our cocktails, and the result was not very good. Instead of Americano, they brought something very strange, and in the gin and tonic you could feel the water most of all.
Spent most of our days on the sun beds in front of Jacks Bar Quality comfortable beds with a handy chair ,service from the bar and Ice Cold beers served mainly by Zoi always happy and smiling ,Mid morning coffee in the bar and a few evenings with a great atmosphere and good food .

An amazing place to eat some of the best Greek food!! Whilst staying just outside of the great town of Archangelos , we visited FB Foutoulis BBQ on many occasions, far too many to count, due to the extremely great Greek food and value for money!! The restaurant has been decorated in a absolutely style with decor inside depicting great Greek personalities and celebrity icons as well as being an extremely clean and comfortable environment throughout. The staffs are all extremely friendly and helpful and as we visited more and more, they knew exactly what we were going to order and even knew we wanted olive oil and sauces - Fantastic service. I see some reviews on here saying that the service is slow but I totally disagree with these. The service here is very very quick and the meals are all hot and fresh with all staff being very attentive. The food is very very tasty and some of the best meals here that I had were the Greek pita pork gyros and the pork gyros plate, which in my opinion are the best I have ever eaten in Greece!! The prices are extremely good and is a great place for value for money, the food is well priced, of the highest quality, plentiful and is a popular place for locals to eat ( Nearly every-time visiting we were surrounded by friendly Greeks - a great sign when the locals eat at a restaurant!!)

No mater if you finished youre dinner, if you passed this place you get hunger again. They grill all fresh and it taste so nice, i cant explain, you must try it to believe. Here you eat also between the locals, they invite you sometimes for a nice conversation and they are proud to talk about Rhodos,

Hidden gem located at the end of the village!
The place is completely different to the others, more relaxed, huge space with no walls and seaview so you can have your food while not feeling crammped. There is plenty of space for kids to run around while parents can enjoy delicious food and one of the best cocktails I have had in Rhodes. I stayed round the corner for a week and 5 evening out of the whole week we spent in Marko's.
The Food:
Home made, always fresh and very good portions too. I highly recommend their moussaka as it feels like its made of clouds.
There is a good choice from the menu and best humus I have ever tried.
To be honest everything we had (almost whole menu) was very good, fresh and we always wanted more.
On the top of that try the coffee ouzo at the end of your dinner.
Drinks:
Marko has a great hand and personal touch to the drinks and cocktails - ask for gin with special tonic :) you can see he really loves the chat about different alcohols, ingredients etc.
Atmosphere:
Very relaxed, owners are incredible and one of the reasons you should go and visit this place. It feels like you know them forever even if you just met them. The place has bit exotic vibe which is cool if you want to go even to have several drinks.
Comfort:
The chairs and tables are comfortable (not so traditional square chairs that you need a surgery after your dinner and cousion x5 to last for an hour), with blankets for those who feel bit chilli :)
Kids can go onto swing, garden and just release the energy after having a dessert sugar rush without disturbing the whole restaurant / bar.
Staff:
Fantastic people - Zaneta is wonderful personality and you always feel like your dinner is served with personal touch. Super helpful so always ask questions what she will recommend today. Hard to catch as she always talk to clients making sure they are comfortable and have what they need. Marko is a superhero of cocktails and you can see he enjoys making them so ask for something sdpecial he will always come up with great drink if you feel like trying something new. Both incredible friendly and one of the main reasons to visit this place.

This is the best tavern by far I have met in Greece. The fish is tasty, well cooked and served in a fantastic way. We drank the house wine (white, dry) which was very good; the pita is by far THE BEST in the isle as it was the whole meal.
The waiter was very nice and kind, always smiling and very sweet.
The cooker is very professional and knows how to deal with food.
The fish is super fresh and delicious.
The venue is clean, very relaxing. Toilets are super clean.
Easy to park in the nearby.
Price is correct and reasonable.
I have visited 5 Greek islands and this tavern is the best I ever met.

Great place to eat.
After a long day on the beach we wanted some pizza and found this place om Google. The owner is a man who likes to talk how he came to make this place. Very welcoming to our entire family and kind to kids, they even got to see how he makes to pizza's.
And a little tip let the owner make the choice of how large the pizza should be. I would've taken a lange one but he said take the medium and that was more than enough.

We spent a remarkable evening in Zaneta's Restaurant, with excellent fish, accompanied by a perfectly cooled dry red wine and good talk with locals hopping in for a beer, the staff and owner. Our place of first choice in a town that is blessed with good restaurants!
Absolute gem of a restaurant! Beautifully cooked , well presented amazingly flavored local food cooked to perfection at very reasonable prices. The chef really knows what she's doing and obviously takes pride in her cooking.
We went there twice during our stay in Rhodes in September and on both occasions, the food was fantastic. The cured beetroot carpaccio salad, grilled octopus and home made moussaka were all outstanding.
It was a pleasure to meet the owner and the chef on our second visit, both ladies very friendly and evidently passionate about the food they are serving.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend - we loved it! (And thank you for the complimentary freshly made tzatziki - absolutely delicious)!

Absolutely stunning experience. Menu is made to be crosschecked which is original, but that is not realy important. Important is that food was superb. Owner was friendly and helpfull, recomended us food and made our experience better with cheer and digestive drinks. I dare to say that if you want to have best greek food you have to visit this restaurant. Combination of Polish management and greek cuisine created unforgattable experience of highest quality above local tavernas. Do not doubt 5 star google reviews like I did, they are here for a reason. I can confirm that they are correct.

Archangelos is not the centre of things, let's be honest, and Captain Stamos doesn't look like much when first one casts an eye upon it. The menu sounded nice and Greek so we gave it a try. After 20 hours on the road it was a very pleasant surprise.
We’ve spent two nights of our last holiday here and it’s been simply perfect. The food is not only delicious but also affordable and the family who runs the restaurant is lovely and so welcoming. We’re definitely coming back!

We had a wonderful dinner here. Instead of a main course, we chose a variety of appetizers, which made it a perfect shared dining evening. We were celebrating our ten-year wedding anniversary and had arranged a beautiful red rose and a bottle of bubbles for my wife. Well, after reading all the good reviews I am very disappointed. We waited 15 minutes in an EMPTY restaurant just to get the menus, then another 70 minutes to get food. I order chicken souvlaki but I got chicken filet instead, ok whatever it happens (although how do you mess this up in an empty restaurant?). Chicken was tasty, but too well done. Sea bream was good, but way too salty. The large pieces of potatoes were a little raw on the inside. The rice was good.
Location is nice, the view is great, but there’s no air conditioning so it was really hot.
The prices are reasonable.
There is no sign at the turn but very much worth to lookout for! Great prices, amazing food, especially the Lamb chops! Also, beautiful view to the sea and mountains.

The place has so much potential.. Service was pretty unwelcoming comparing to other restaurants on the island.
The shrimp dish was dry almost impossible to peel, earlier review had warned about this, but I thought maybe it was just bad luck for their end. I ate one shrimp and my companion ate 2 and then we gave up, had to still pay 5€ for the couple of fries that I ate on top of that. (But it was kind of fair that we got a discount)
On another note the greek salad was amazing and (the only highlight of the meal). It's a pity that such a beautiful place like this lacks of love.
Do not recommend, acted like they didn't want us there. After a long wait being ignored by the staff, left without ordering. Such a waste of an amazing location.
Visited as a group, a quiet taverna with a stunning view of the beach below. Initially ordered drinks and let the staff member know we were waiting for a few more people to arrive before we ordered food, the taverna was mostly empty at this time.
After the drinks the staff member appeared to actively avoid us which came across as extremely rude and made us feel extremely awkward and unwelcome regularly walking past, ignoring us and not once engaging with us.
Once the remaining people arrived we requested a table for them to sit which was pulled up. The staff member then picked up all the menus and walked off without a word.
We all took a look at the 1 remaining menu and waited for him to take our order. After 15 minutes waiting with people who hadn't even been offered a drink we paid and left for another taverna.
There are a large number of tavernas in this area and my honest recommendation would be to avoid this location.
Very disappointing, we left the location slightly offended and very confused.

Great experience! My friend and I came from Canada to visit Lindos. We stopped at Tsambika View Taberna for lunch, their menu seduced us. We ordered homemade Musaka, Greek yogurt with Greek honey and walnuts plus 2 frappes. Everything was exquisite! Totally recommend it!

Loved the place! After almost two weeks of only Greek food, eating a pizza (and a great one too) was truly a pleasure. They do know how to make a pizza so give it a try of you are hungry and nearby. The pizzas are also fairly priced, we had the 14€ 40 cm diameter pizza for two and it was more than enough. And they even brought some pizza dough balls and sauces as an apeticer.
If you want the Mom and Pop restaurant feeling go to Savos. The pizza was absolutely amazing and great service. Will definitely miss this place. Must go back next time I visit.

This pizzeria is in the heart of the vibrant village. We experienced a very warm welcome. You know a restaurant is good when it's full of locals. The menu is written in several languages. The pizzas come in 3 sizes. These are some of the best pizzas that we have had outside of Italy. You can see your pizza being prepared and fired in the wood oven from your table. The staff are really friendly and very attentive. Highly recommended. We had 2 large pizzas, gratuitous bread and spreads, a plate of fries, and 5 soft drinks 41.5€. Cheap feed for 5 people.
