If you find yourself in Arisaig, make sure to stop by Sound Bites, a delightful addition to the local dining scene. This charming eatery boasts an extensive menu that caters to all tastes, including vegetarian and vegan options. Start your day with a hearty full Scottish breakfast or enjoy a cozy morning coffee paired with their delectable strawberry tart. For lunch, savor the rich flavors of Cullen skink or opt for one of their satisfying wraps.
Brilliant place in a super location. Very friendly service. We had the fish and chips, which were a GOOD portion size. Shame peas looked old. But taste of chips and fish was great!! 👍 Would recommend and we'd return again!

Best Cafe in Arisaig—Sound Bites! We had the best time admiring the vibe, the food was amazing, the music and the folks who run this place are just the best. Had the best coffee and cakes and best jacket potato ever!! A must visit for the views. We loved every second of our time in Arisaig and places like this make it even special. Thanks you guys. We will be back :-) x

Really friendly service. Good food, nice view. We had the shanty burger which was a battered fish fillets burger and the Cullen skink, both delicious.

Two trips in a week and both superb! Took great care of our coeliac guest. With some lovely GF options and great care. Cracking local prawns fresh that day and then yummy fish and chips on the second visit. Friendly and fun staff. Best feed of the week!

Served by Sophie who was really friendly and welcoming, along with all the staff. We had fish and chips, dirty chips and the macaroni cheese with Stornaway black pudding finished off with their divine Orkney fudge cheesecake. Great location, great food, great staff and a great vibe, lots of fun. Highly recommend.

Food's alright, as is the coffee. Lovely staff. Though you will leave here smelling of fried food.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. A special thank you to Cassie and Sophia for their kindness, attentiveness, and wonderful service — they truly made our visit extra special. Highly recommended!

Stayed just outside Arisaig last week and came in for lunch. I highly recommend this wee gem of a place. Food was absolutely brilliant-really tasty and freshly cooked with varied choice of menu. The atmosphere was great and added to the service we received it was such a brilliant afternoon. The memorabilia is great and the theme is fantastic. We came back again for coffee/cake on the Wednesday and the atmosphere, service and food were exactly the same. Made most welcome and enjoyed the chat with the staff too.

Arisaig Marine Ltd offers ferry services to Eigg and Muck, providing a great trip to the islands with a skilled skipper and crew. The boat is deemed totally safe, although it's advised not to sit on the very rear open deck seats during rough seas. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of Muck and may even catch a glimpse of Puffins on Horse Island if they time their trip right. The local beaches are described as world-class, making for an enjoyable crossing experience.
Are seats inside but seems more takeaway based. Food was excellent and Staff lovely and views were amazing.
Rob — Google review
Went for a 3 hour boat ride. This was the second time we have done this here, the last time 3 years ago. It was amazing then and this time didn't disappoint. It was fantastic, seeing dolphins, whales, puffins and more in their natural habitat. We had a great time. The staff on board the boat were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This is definitely worth a visit.
Carl — Google review
Had a fantastic trip to Loch Coruisk. The guys on the coat were very friendly, helpful and the trip was a memorable one for sure. Thankyou
Odelle C — Google review
We had a fantastic time and felt very safe with Ronnie at the wheel, we saw dolphins coming right out of the water about 10 feet in the air, we also saw whales. Would do it again and probably will, thank you so much.
Peter T — Google review
Went to the cafe. It was lovely. Staff friendly. Food lovely. Gift shop really well laid out.

A beautiful day, skippers were fab! Had great chat with other passengers and the weather was stunning!
Carolyn S — Google review
Lovely, friendly staff. Great cafe selling a good range of hot and cold food and drinks, gift shop and toilets also on site. Great day trips available from here to Muck, Rum and Eigg other trips also available on their Facebook page
Heather R — Google review
Ferry service to Eigg & Muck were a great trip to the islands. Skipper & crew great. The seas were rough but the skipper did a great job. The boat was totally safe. Advice is not to sit on the very rear open deck seats when crashing into 3 metre swell with 30mph winds as you will occasionally get soaked. The island of Muck was stunning and try to time your trip so that you can see the Puffins on Horse Island & get across the causeway.

Seafood market
If you're a seafood enthusiast, then Arisaig Shellfish Shack is a must-visit destination every Sunday from 10am to 3pm. This charming spot boasts an impressive array of offerings, including sandwiches, tapas tubs, platters, and whole cooked shellfish sourced directly from the local waters of Arisaig and Mallaig. During my recent visit, I indulged in a dressed crab and langoustine sandwich that was simply divine.
Amazing Shellfish platter - so fresh, so beautifully presented, so luxurious and great value too. A great treat for our last night in the area. Cute shop and enthusiastic, helpful team platters customisable for specific requests, too. Can't recommend highly enough.
Ruth B — Google review
Bought a dressed crab and langoustine sandwich from here today. It wasn't cheap but no seafood is these days. Freshness was outstanding. When I got the crab home and opened it up it smelt oceanic, but not fishy and was the sweetest freshest crab meat I've ever tasted. The langoustine roll I ate on a bench outside the shack and that was lovely. The brioch bun was pillowy and soft, not the sweet version so worked beautifully with the sweet langoustine. People behind the counter were very friendly and proud of their produce, and quite rightly so. My 7 month pup devoured the dressed crab, and I know she is not the only dog that has eaten crab from there this week!

AMAZING! We had the lobSTAR platter it was fabulous from start to finish we enjoyed every bite . Paula went over and above our expectations by getting the platter delivered to us We would definitely recommend the quality was exceptional worth every penny
Les M — Google review
Freshest and best tasting crab I've ever eaten. Served with a lovely smile and a jolly chat by the family crew running the place.
Antoine C — Google review
I'd like to say it was nice but it wasn't, it was outstanding! The selection of fresh sea food was 2nd to none...the eating of, just the same. Myself and her indoors demolished a magnificent lobster platter, and it was all the best you can get anywhere, hands down. The staff are very friendly, helpful and funny. Highly recommended...I'd go there for the baguette alone! Eric the 'Stuntman'.
Eric R — Google review
Visited the shack for lunch yesterday and it was delicious! Had the Crabtastic platter, super fresh and beautifully presented to take away.Lots of other options on the menu. You can take it to the pub next door and buy a drink to have with it ( which we did) or wherever you prefer. Very friendly service and lots of other goodies to buy while you’re there.
Nicola P — Google review
Food is amazing I love it here a little expensive but definitely worth it
Cara S — Google review
Fabulous seafood lunch. Can't wait to go back and try their seafood platter, which looks awesome although it helps them if you pre order. We happened to be in the area and had the smoked mussels, lobster and asparagus mousse (as lunchtime starters) then a crab and leek pie and crab sandwich - all delicious! Highly recommend, with lovely friendly staff to boot!
