Been today with my family for a cuppa, kids got chicken nuggets chips and beans and my goodness, they was stuffed it was so nice. My youngest is autistic and struggles with food textures and he managed to eat half what was on his plate which is a huge thing for us. Staff are amazing so friendly.

First visit for my wife and my self for Sunday lunch and I'm delighted to say it was a fantastic experience. Was greeted by a lovely lady who was very friendly. The lunch was really lovely at a very reasonable price. I would recommend the bistro to anyone. And we would like to thank all the staff. Can't wait to return. Mr & Mrs Averre

My mam lives at Cherry Tree Gardens which is where The Bistro is. Meals are great. Decor lovely. At the moment decorated for Xmas and it's beautiful. Staff are fantastic. Friendly, helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Would recommend. A really first class eating venue with staff second to none.

The fish and chips for £7 were not only good value but also delicious - nice big flakes of fish in a crispy batter.

Love this quirky pub! Went in on a Sunday for food...not thinking about the time and Sunday dinner. They were busy but the staff were lovely and friendly and we managed to get a table with very little wait. The food was amazing, I had the roast and husband had the fish dish. 2 courses were very reasonably priced. Would have had desert but the starters and roast finished me off. Funky trinkets on the walls and ceilings and some games you can use.

Lovely food helpful and polite staff and a friendly atmosphere . We called in fir a Kate lunch the menu was interesting, I chose steak pie and oh boy that was delicious, our son had the panaccildy and my wife had fish finger sandwich, all were perfectly cooked and delicious. This place has bags of atmosphere the food is fantastic, service couldn’t be better. This is a lovely place and well worth a visit.

I went here for the first time with friends last Sunday and actually found it by accident as initially we went to another pub but didn't like the look of it so google what was nearby. From pulling into the car park you could see that the people here cared. The pub is well looked after and just oozes charm. I have mobility issues and although they do have some small steps the staff were great in aiding me. I ordered a bottled beer that wasn't quite cold but the staff offered to put it in the freezer to chill and bring it out to me. Now for the food, one friend is gluten free and often finds that so many places still don't offer this option The stables is definitely an exception to this and has a large selection of gluten free meals including making gluten free yorkshire puddings which delighted my friend. We all opted for the vegetarian sausages with thick onion gravy and that days vegetables and yorkshire pudding. Everything was hot, tasted fresh and even the small meal a friend asked for was a good size. The price also really surprised my as its such good value for money. The staff although were busy were friendly, kind and smiling and nothing was too much trouble. We were too full for a pudding but the ones other customers had looked really nice and nearly tempted us. Overall I highly recommend you check this place out if you are in the area and they also have rooms if you fancy a break away. You will not be disappointed.

A very rare full 5 STAR review from me on this one, beautiful building with loads of character, super friendly staff and the food was spot on, I never usually order beef but the roast was beef and I thought I'd give it a go and I was not disappointed!!!Really looking forward to going back! Update: just had the battered chicken burger with spicy red Leicester!!!! UNREAL! My family had the Roast and the carbonara, equally as impressive!!

Charming and cosy small pub and restaurant. Great pub grub style menu with plenty of homemade food available. We enjoyed the fish and chips and the black pudding very good quality. The service was a little slow with larger tables getting faster attention. We waited a long time to order more drinks and a dessert menu. We expected a wait for our mains but weren't put off by this as they were excellent. Good drink choices available. Can be busy even on weekdays due to the location and size of the establishment. Definitely will return.

Ordered the Full Monty Fry up and the King Kebab. Fry up very nice, good size but not too big. King kebab unfortunately a let-down. Meat seemed to be from a bag - donner meat cut with very uniformly straight edges and all the same size. Good friendly service, nice beer. Went on a Saturday afternoon so not many people in as football was in later. May have filled up later when football was on.

A fantastic pub where the staff are lovely and the food is perfectly cooked. Sunday dinner is absolutely great. There's a good beer garden, prices are decent and location, of course, is great being on the village green.

Not being locals we travelled from North Wales to visit relatives. We decided to go out for a Family meal. We chose to go here, The Washington Arms Washington village. The pub was immaculate and very clean throughout. The ambience was very pleasant no loud music and no shouting to be heard. There was the standard waiting time for food. The food wasn't microwaved but cooked with love and care, very tasty. The Staff were all very polite, well mannered and very courteous towards everyone. The price was reasonable. Would I come here again? Yes I would, would I recommend it to others? Most certainly. Go here if you want a pleasant evening where you can hear the conversation and enjoy time with loved ones.

Food was undercooked and tasteless. The decor needs updating. Tables were sticky. Doors to loos untouchable. It used to be the go to pub. Drastically gone downhill in thd last few years.

Just had fabulous lunch...I had fishcakes, hubby had the lasagne....both came with a delicious salad. We were enticed by the cheesecake dessert and were not disappointed. Bar and serving staff very friendly. What a delight to not have thumping back ground music too. Shame we live so far away...but will definitely be back next time we're anywhere nearby.

Very difficult place to get a booking as it's very popular... Strange kind of place where it's like an old housing estate pub that does fantastic food... Although, be prepared to pay a lot for the food... Decent burgers start at around £15 but some burgers can be very expensive... You do get a lot though... The sizzling plates looked and smelled fantastic... There are plenty of staff so getting service is no problem. I'd probably like to go again and try something different next time... Apologies for the burger photo but I had started eating it then took the photo...

We've just had a beautiful lunch at the Beehive. It was only recommended to me that morning. A very extensive menu with a specials menu also. There was far too much choice, so another visit would certainly be on the cards. Food was excellent, huge portion and great value for money. You can see more on the pubs soicals. This is definitely one for the foodie.. Some more local beers would be a plus. Great see Maxim on the bar.

We love this place. Chose it to celebrate a birthday this time round and the staff were amazing couldn’t do enough to help. Very attentive and welcoming. Even supported us bringing balloons giant birthday cookie and banners. Couldn’t get the candle we brought to stick into the cookie so the staff put candles in for us which was so kind. Food is always amazing so delicious and filling well worth every penny. 9 happy diners thank you so much for today see you again soon.

We went for sunday lunch and all cleared our plates the food,all roasts, was delicious. How do they make that gravy.? Its delicious. Apple crumble and brownies were really tasty too. The staff very friendly and welcoming. Very good value for the price😊

We have been in the restaurant many of times and ordered from the Italian menu and it's always been beautiful. All the staff are fantastic to in particular valentina. She goes above and beyond but today we have had a Sunday lunch delivered this is the 2nd time and I can honestly say it's one of the best dinners I've ever had. Food is beautiful everything so fresh. Can't reccomend enough.

It was our first time here, even though we've passed many times! The food was delicious and the pizza's are the best we've had in a long time. Got to be the best in the area! If you fancy a pizza, go here for one, they are a solid 10/10 and you won't be disappointed. Reasonably priced too. *carbonara was saucy/creamy; the bottom of bowl was swimming in it when I mixed it up!

Amazing Sunday lunch. Very nice main course BUT unfortunately, service and dessert did not match. Beautiful and very tasteful Sunday lunches. Such a shame the service ruined the meal. The place is full of staff in the small restaurant/bar area but it seems like non of them have had customer service training. We had to ask to order drinks, mains and even desserts. No one came over to ask how the food was. Tables near us experienced this too. It is a shame as it seems there was a manager and supervisor working as well. Zero customer service knowledge ruined what could have been an amazing Sunday lunch.

Excellent service even though it was rather busy. Booking would seem to be essential here. Food was excellent quality, they have really put effort into fresh and quirky plating. Staff were rushing around but always making sure we were served. It could have been a little quicker service for extra drinks and desserts but it didn't concern us too much. This is a fantastic greek and Italian restaurant and we will be back.

Haven’t been in Prospect for about 10 yrs( not since it became Italian) so thought would try it, good decision will def be going back , nice atmosphere, friendly knowledgable staff , good menu and certainly competitively priced ,( even better if you order from specials) , stated with arancini ( never had it before) will have again , the memsahib had garlic mushrooms she said best she’s ever had , I tried special sizzlers as mains she had stroganoff again both cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful , then we pigged out with cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding , good portions well presented would recommend anyone to try this place , and scrum Sunday they’re doing Sunday lunch so guess where I’ll be?

It was pleasant to eat at Prospect, it is a welcoming place, the owners and the staff are friendly and professional, attentive to the needs of their customers. The food was very good and of high quality, especially the Greek dishes. I recommend you try the Greek bruschetta, which unfortunately. I was unable to photograph because it was too inviting to wait to eat it🤤🤣🤣 I recommend Prospect Italian Bistro, you will not be disappointed

Very spacious with a great and vast menu. Service could be a little friendlier from some (not all) staff. Never an issue getting a table. Clean toilets!

Nice place with a pleasant atmosphere. We used to meet here with our families on weekend mornings for breakfast. But now the avocado toast has been removed from the breakfast menu, which is a real shame. Now we make that breakfast at home or go to other places instead.

First time visiting here. Would definitely recommend. It was busy and we was advised when placing our order on the app that there would be at least a 10 minute delay. Even though there was a slightly longer delay it was well worth the wait.

Pretty cramped, mediocre beer selection, good value good options. Didn't have any burns night offering on which other spoons have had. Free water on the bar which is good. Friendly staff. Had no childrens menus available so have to ask staff or check the app.

Comfortable and spacious pub in the town centre, enjoyed a very good breakfast here in nice clean surroundings. Not an old historical building, but function now as a pub. Good value drinks and food. New menu now includes the Wetherspoons pizza range, along with all the usual food favourites. Worth calling in on.

First time trying this Italians! Food was very tasty, lovely. I'd say on expensive side, unless you go between happy hour times. I'd return during happy hour. Interior is lovely and cosy, parking not the best, only about 6/7 spaces.

Went with a small party of people for drinks and food. The menu had plenty of choice and variety. Ordered fish and chips , burger chips and corned beef pie . Food came quick and was really nice homemade pie and chips to! and no complaints. Also ordered deserts highly recommend the brownies with ice cream. Service was warm friendly and polite. Also asked about gluten free Sunday lunch and was informed that this was available . So great experience family type pub with friendly staff and good atmosphere. Highly recommended also free WiFi and dog friendly to with water for dogs and free treats for dogs

Went for the first time to try the Burn inn as I’d seen great things online about their Sundays dinners. Although my food was quite nice. My partner had a harder time enjoying his. I ordered a large chicken Sundays dinner which was lovely, all was cooked well. The only down side was the portions to me felt quite small. Did have a funny moment when I realised I had not been given chicken on my plate but these things happen 🤣. Was an easy fix. My partner on the other hand did not have a great experience. He ordered the 8oz rump steak and very much struggled to eat it. He’d asked for it to be cooked medium but when it arrived it was more on the rare / medium rare side and seemed quite chewy. Although he eat it the best he could. He very much struggled to enjoy it. The chips that came with it though, he did enjoy very much. For a first time experience it was still pretty good. The staff were lovely and approachable and had a good laugh when I explained that my chicken was missing. Despite the issues with the steak I’d still recommend it to people as the overall experience was quite lovely.

came down with food poisoning after our mothers day meal, 72 hours ill, kids had it too but not nearly as bad although they didnt have the beef. Ordered a pint of coke without ice and was given a pint glass, filled half way - other than that the staff were friendly

We stopped there after long journey. I read all those great reviews and asked my friends to pop in for a late lunch, realy looking forward for it. We ordered 3 different meals and unfortunately all 3 were realy dissapointed. All likely warm, taste like to be warm up instead of cook to the order. The most dissapointed part were „ home made and cook” fries. Probably leftovers from night before, can’t taste any worst. Never back again.

Went to cross keys for food as most of the family together which does not happen too regular especially with me living in Ireland. Pub is under new management from last time I was there but the food was just as nice as previously and the staff were brilliant with excellent service. Sorry to leave bad review but food was definitely not worth what we paid. Small portion of Sausage and mash with inedible Sausages, i didn't want the peas or gravy. My nana had the pie, not home made and for £13 would have expected more,neither of us would eat there again.

Had lunch with my friend here on Friday lunchtime. Meals were fantastic, hot served quickly & tasted delicious. I had a cottage pie & my friend has the lasagne, both were tasty, hot & delicious. Coffee’s were great to & larger than average. We have my friends dog with us & she was spoilt rotten & they look after doggies so well in there. I’ll defo be back for food. Customer service was second to none & all the staff were brilliant, well done

Food is lovely but they don't always have what they advertise on the menu. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Baby changing rooms are in disabled toilet but no changing mat or pads for the changer. Dogs are allowed. Atmosphere is lovely very relaxed place, music isn't too loud and prices are fair for what you get and not to expensive a place to go back too.

Booked table for B/fast on Saturday, 26th,July,25. Nice welcome from, I take it Mgress & Maverick the pub dog! Ordered and was initially surprised at how quickly it was served. After tasting it I understood how it came out so quickly. Yesterday's produce, had bn taken out of fridge and reheated. Egg was burst, yolk hard. Black bits off dirty pan all over white of egg. Hash Brown, not cooked, bn taken out of freezer the night b4 and not cooked properly, still cold in middle. The price is for what u get is way way over priced. First time I've witnessed toast as and Xtra at over £1 a slice! I can get a 20 + sliced loaf for that in any supermarket. Altogether £12, with an orange juice, £14.50. DISGRACE, when I can get exactly same at The Cafe or Danny's, Birtley for £7.50 Inc toast & a brew, plus it 10xs hotter & nicer! I dnt bother complaining, l just dnt bother going back and theirs usually a review I can comment on. Regards, Alan.

A great bar on the village green that still has a local and community feel when you go inside. They offer deals on different days such as free pool and cheaper burgers on a Thursday Nice small sitting area out the front looking across the green and tables out the back as well for the summer months. A little sun trap. They have a pool table, books to read (which can be left and taken at will), and a selection of board games that can be played. Really great little pub!

Lovely restaurant we had a pizza to share and coffee mid afternoon. The staff were very pleasant as the place was cosy . There is a larger area where the evening meals are served. The menu is a very good one prices are reasonable. I would most certainly go again. Reservations are required for evening meals

Absolutely fantastic. Beautiful, authentic Italian food. A must! My favourite is the formaggio di Capra and the al forna bolognese, however, to be honest, I love most of the menu! Cosy restaurant with a great atmosphere

Mid week lunch 1st time visit and not disappointed. This is new to Houghton high street and it's been a long time coming. The Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. For 3 people including 2 x Morreti 1 x large red wine and 2 x lemonade and 2 x coffees £48. Antipasto was to die for and OMG there was so much. The meatball pasta was delicious and the pizzas were light and very tasty. Staff were very freindly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The restaurant is small but this helps with the atmosphere. I would recommend booking for an evening meal.

Food is usually of a high standard and good portion sizes, good value. Sometimes they are a bit unreliable with timings. I've only ever collected, not had delivery. I keep going back so that's the main thing.

this is my favourite chinese takeaway, it’s so delicious and also great value - we usually get the salt and pepper box for 12.50 and another side of chicken and the portion sizing great. never had any problems and the flavour is great!!!!

Good choice on menu. Waited quite a while, but not complaining because when the food arrived you could see it was well prepared and cooked fresh. Excellent taste and presentation and very good value. My only complaint was a lack of choice of beer, which was by no means a deal breaker, but a couple of cask ales (besides the Double Maxim) and this would have been an easy 5 ⭐ review. Wouldn't hesitate to return for another meal.

Popped in for lunch after seeing the TikToks made by the chef (at least I think he’s the chef- whoever makes the TikTok) with my parents. Prices are extremely reasonable. The food came to less than £40 for a double cheeseburger, a chicken burger, a chicken curry and a portion of halloumi fries. A slight wait on food but well worth it. Thank you, three very happy people and hopeful regulars if I can keep driving from Washington each week.

Really cheap steak night deal both had fillet steaks for £40 altogether with 2 pints of Cruz campo, great value for money and really tasty meal with steak cooked perfectly. Would have liked to have tried the specials but only steak night menu available, will be returning for some of the specials next time.

Came here for a Sundays dinner, and not in the slightest impressed. Sticky tables and seats, the food portions were barely enough to fill a dwarf. Most bland food Iv ever paid for. Atmosphere suited houghton, typical universal credit, pip claiming type boozer. Staff were pretty decent in all fairness not a bad comment about the bar staff.

Ordered braised beef could hardly see the beef once piece very bland had no taste veg was overcooked or frozen very disappointing for £11.99. Got served by faith she was so nice and friendly shame the food was so awful

Just moved to the area and we ordered in January and loved it , fast forward would couldn’t remember where we ordered from , so after few bad takeaways from others , I managed to find it again . Tonight’s food was lovely . Fresh pizza , garlic sauce that’s not watered down and fantastic fresh salad . This is my new fav place .

When we ordered 2 pizzas for delivery the lady on the phone said delivery would be 45 mins. Ok fine. The pizza arrived nearly 2 hours after the original call. Tried chasing it up twice only to be fobbed off. If the lady had said we are busy and the time will be 2 hours we would of rang elsewhere.

This is our default delivery place. Good kebabs and wraps, good burgers, great parmo and the best 'cheap' pizza around (by which I mean about half the cost of nearby dominoes). Ingredients always taste fresh and of good quality. The only downside we've encountered is they use precut chips like you would get from the supermarket, but always fried perfectly and lovely and crisp so we don't mind too much! Shop is sparkling clean and staff are always helpful and friendly. Order early because they get busy!

Waited far too long for what we had ordered. Got back to base only to then realise the pop we bought were all out of date. If something as simple as a bottle of pop is out of date, whatelse is? Not to mention the extortion price of £2 for a 380ml bottle! Whole shop just seemed in a rush with not a lot getting handed out.

Ordered via website, waited for two hours to be told that the driver had messed up the order. He stated that he had returned to the shop, had the order cooked fresh, and apologised. Great, except that the food was completely cold. Lying to your customers is not a good look. Regular customer now going to Dhillons.

When you order a tray of kebab meat and a side of garlic sauce, you would expect a tin foil wrapped tray of kebab meat on its own with a small tub of sauce separate. Obviously not here, where pouring it all over the meat for you is apparently the right decision. So now what I would usually leave for the next day has to be thrown which is most of the tray itself. Thanks for that.

The rudest staff I’ve ever seen on costa coffee’s. The guy called Nathan was very angry on me that I was busy on my phone and not answering him where is I was waiting for 5 minutes there and no one was serving me and I just was waiting to be served. Then he turned up and said do you want to be served or you want to leave?? I was like what? Why? I mean??? Absolutely disappointing.

This Costa is definitely one of my favourites. The only issue is the doors they need to be self closing! Save me getting up to close them after people all the time. Its like a wind tunnel when they're left open!

Specifically a delivery review, ordered hot foot and hot drink, waited over an hour for delivery. What is dissapointing is the store is a few minutes drive away and the food and drink arrived very cold, so the order must have been put together and left standing for a while but still sent this anyway. Won't be ordering again sadly.

This place used to be amazing, long queues. Now its rarely open and they use cheap providers. You couldn’t beat their curry sauce now its clearly from a packet and cheap! Very sad A.Lo was amazing and he would be sad to see his shop go down like this.

Always a good meal well cooked and tasty. Quick service from friendly counter staff very good value. We have been using Lo Chop Suey House for over 5 years have not had a bad meal in all this time. Definitely would recommend this established takeaway.

Disappointing takeaway. The food was very spicy but no actual flavour to it. The chicken was dry and chewy, and the chips tasted like deep fried frozen chips. We won’t be going back.

Looks can be deceiving..... It still looks the same as 20 years ago Iv been going here my whole life from being 10 years old and it's never changed hands in all the years. I'm 37 now and it's my families and my kids favorite Chinese. The chips and gravy never changes always been unreal. The salt n pepper spare ribs are immense and the menu is cracking. Foods always piping hot and spot on tastes delish. Never in 25 years have I had a bad meal from here. Ever! Will continue to fill mine and my families faces every so often with this food.

Food is always fresh and delicious- have never had a bad meal from here in the 25 years we've been coming. The only drawback is they don't deliver, otherwise they'd be perfect. Very reasonable compared to other nearby Chinese takeaways too.

Didn't get correct order. Ordered vegan cookies and received milk chocolate ones. Both subs had multiple ingredients missing and one came on wrong bread. For the price I expect the correct order.

Waited for 20 minutes to be served with only one customer in front of me .There were 3 servers but two of them were more interested in putting orders up for deliveries. The queue was out of the door by the time I actually was served and to be told " you'll have to bear with us we're a server down" . No I don't have to bear with you your priority surely should be the customers standing waiting in the shop ,not those sitting comfortably at home at home waiting for a delivery .

Can’t follow simple instructions

Absolutely fuming! Ordered from Village Indian Takeaway for my girlfriend's birthday tonight. After TWO HOURS of waiting, the food never even showed up. Called them twice - first time they said it left 15 mins ago (clearly not true). Called again and the guy who answered was unbelievably rude when I tried to cancel. His response? "That's fine with me!" Refund requested and you can bet I will NEVER order from this place again! Shame because if they had of been a bit more organised and at least give us an explanation as to what was happening, it may have been more understandable. I would give ZERO stars if possible!

on and off i've used these for over 20 years, service and delivery is excellent. However the quality of the ingredients is not as good as it used to be. Portions are great just the quality. I got a curry that has banana in it and they were not ripe and very hard and the mixed meat was missing the beef. Food just needs a little more quality in the ingredients and I'd happily give it a 5

We have been a customer of Village Spice for some time now and cannot fault the food in terms of quality, portion size or price; it is to be highly recommended. The only downside was they missed a curry out of a recent order I placed over the 'phone. I called them and they asked me to return to the shop (a ten-minute drive away) to collect it, which I did. In light of the inconvenience, I was still asked to pay for the "missing" item - possibly again? - as it apparently "wasn't included in the order the first time round." I thought this was disappointing in terms of customer service / wanting to rectify a problem but the rest of the meal was waiting at home so I paid it - but may well go elsewhere next time.

Ordered a dupiaza which is tomato based sauce with lots of onions not too spicy.. what was delivered was a hot spicy tomato sauce, like in a bolognese not an onion or piece of tomato in sight.. was disgusting and went where it belonged straight in the bin.. Marks and Spencer Curry is far superior.. total waste of money

My order came in a carry bag no cardboard between cartons so inevitably sauce carton was squished beyond repair korma sauce all over everything , chicken tikka dry was tough , spicy chips ok , onion balls were nice but be a long time before I come back ! Used to be beautiful but gone off the boil last twice , would not recommend at this moment in time , don’t know why it’s changed but something isn’t right ,,,

Great service and the Sunday dinner was fantastic. Reasonably priced and one of the best places for Sunday dinners in this area.

Great atmosphere great food we have been twice since new manager have took over. Great meats both occasions served hot tasty by friendly staff. Strongly recommend The Philledelphia. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Just had a fabulous Sunday Lunch with all the trimmings - especially like the Onion Pud side! Chicken was so juicy and tender and great choice of Veg! We will definitely be back again next time we are up visiting the North East! Staff are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble!

Ordered from here for a long time and said it was the best in the area! Last twice have been disgusting. Salad wasn't fresh and the basic I've seen! Brown lettuce, 10 bits of sweet corn and 4 bits of tomato. Chicken not much better Very poor. Searching a new takeaway now!

Hmmmmm... 🤔 Not sure where to start with this one. I used to order from here a couple of years ago and the kebabs were amazing! I ordered from here a few weeks ago (Donner Kebab) and it wasn't great... tiny bit salad (mainly shredded lettuce( and a handful of kebab meat which wasn't the best. I ordered from here again tonight, the Mrs got a halloumi wrap which she said was nice. Myself on the other hand, I got a Donner kebab. AWFUL! The 'fresh' salad was some shredded lettuce with a tiny bit of diced onion, diced tomato and sweetcorn? 🤔 The kebab meat... barely warm, shredded and swimming in grease, I mean SWIMMING! I had one mouthful and could not finish it. The delivery took 20mins so it didn't get cold on the way, definitely had been lying out for a while. Not sure what's happened to this place but I shall not be ordering from there again. Two stars ONLY because the Mrs enjoyed hers.

DONT ORDER FROM HERE ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!! Ordered online at 17:00 no delivery so rang at 18:15 they said they didn’t open till another 30 mins. Cancelled my order on the phone then they still sent the delivery driver. Tried to say I never cancelled and still didn’t get my money back. QUES ARE SHITTTTT.

Went there over two weeks ago at 10pm to pick up a TO GOOD TO GO order for £8:59p. And the lass told me she only needed to give me £12 worth of food. As what they were going to give me was ridiculous. And on the TO GOOD TO GO APP it actually states £16:50 worth of goods,not £12 as she stated. I've got a £6:59p to good to go collection today ....see what happens.

I'm not suing this takeaway anymore. 3 times in a row they've forgotten something on my order. From sauce, to drink, to pittas. Standards proper slipped going somewhere else from now on.

Great boozer! With 2 separate rooms, the bar & lounge and a beer garden. Both with a number of tele’s to get a cracking view to watch the Sport, who the owner always tries his hardest to get the best sport on at all times. Pub grub is pub grub, but the little things matter as the chefs attention to detail can’t be faulted. Best option on the menu - Burger by a country mile.

Nice real ale pub, with friendly staff. A mix of local ales and a few from further afield. Great to have a Double Maxim after a looking time out of the area! They even have a loyalty card for real ale! Looking forward to the quiz night on Thursday!

The location is convenient for the galleries shoppers. The Oasis offers a wide range of excellent pub grub at affordable prices. There's sometimes special menues as an even cheaper alternative. I usually call in once every week and never disappointed. You can have anything from the extensive menu served up by friendly staff.

If there was 0 stars I’d put 0 stars, staff was so rude, my friend had taken a jacket potato back as it was rock solid to the point you could hear the sound when hitting it with a knife, when asked to speak to manager we waited a good 20-30 minutes for someone to come over and it wasn’t even the manager, the girl that had came over stated that refund couldn’t be given as she’d ate most of it but my friend couldn’t eat it as it was that hard, little bits of it had been ate, but not the majority like they had claimed, the girl that came over was extremely rude and didn’t give us her name, but she is very recognisable due to the state of her eyebrows, can’t do her job properly at all, wouldn’t recommend going there at all, waste of money.

Always a good go too whenever I see my father, we always can have a good catch up as noise levels aren't bad, great choice of drinks, food and service is always amazing.

Nice place 15 mins or so to Sunderland. Staff pleasant . Room clean but a little rough around the edges. Found bed comfortable. Choice of either traditional English or Thai cuisine. Had Thia the first night great choice taste great and presented early well on my second night had the Steak and ale pie it was ok but nothing fancy average pub grub. The take away service did seem popular with the locals and plenty in the restaurant. Breakfast menu looked a bit confusing but works for the hotel. Downside great for contractors and people booking hotel for work purposes, for those booking for leisure the breakfast was too early to finish. The breakfast finishes at 8.45 sharp, and the reason I say sharp is that sometimes nine came down at 8.40 and was being rushed to order hot food before he had a chance to properly read menu or even make a brew. Bedroom had a god number of sockets, lacked a USB socket so make sure you bring a plug or leave the TV on as you could plug into that.

A pleasant stay for a couple of nights, rooms are very comfortable and well looked after. Breakfast very nice. Though a machine that doesn't know the difference between an espresso or an americano. Evening food OK, the Thai is expensive and the menu a bit samey, the pub menu is poor in my opinion. Who advertises a gourmet burger at £13 that is just a beef burger in a brioche bun with salad, no cheese, no sauce nothing. All the extras are like a quid for cheese, bacon etc. And my info leaflet in my room was out of date so I couldn't even try the pub food cos they stop serving at 20.15 on a Sunday despite the leaflet saying 21.30. Despite my grumbles, a very pleasant hotel. I would recommend if you need a stop over in the area.

Just spent seven nights at this lovely hotel. Have stayed here several times over the last few years and would highly recommend to anyone. Bedrooms lovely and beds very comfortable. Meals both in the bar and restaurant are very good and reasonable prices. Hope we will be able to return in the future but would like to thank all the friendly staff especially Shirley, Sue, Donna and not forgetting Dave, you made our holiday. Sylvia and Robert

Gorgeous rooms, huge very comfy bed, nice bathroom. Had burgers in the bar and they were delicious. Lovely place!

The hotel is right on the side of a busy road but it was very quiet after the bar and restaurant closed. The breakfast in the morning was a bit odd you had your continental breakfast which was help yourself but the hot food you could only pick 5 items off the list and you only get 1 of each if you want more your charged 50p for every item you want extra of.

Another great stay despite the reason being the second funeral in a month. The staff are so happy, the rooms are very comfortable and the food available is very good, especially the Thai in the restaurant or in the bar.

Stayed for 2 nights for a wedding. Rooms fine and comfortable with all amenities. Breakfast was very nice served quickly. Recommend staying here

First time here and it definitely won’t be the last. Service was super quick and portions are huge especially as they are off the happy hour menu. The staff were lovely and very attentive. We always had full drinks and no request was ever an issue. Thank you for an amazing meal.

I showed up 10 minutes before food services stopped,snd the lovely kitchen team made me a meal. After a very physically and mentally taxing day at work it was what I needed. All staff were lovely, very friendly and pub atmosphere with a dining room next door.

Superb Italian food - very friendly service and child friendly too. Plenty of choice for all tastes of Italian across the starters, pastas, pizzas, puddings, liqueurs and hot drinks. Can really tell that the ingredients used are of great quality too. Would really recommend Amalfi if you enjoy Italian food.

Ordered online so cannot comment about the customer service, however when the order arrived my sandwich was mouldy. Subway pride themselves on baking their bread fresh in store each day. Either that’s not actually true or there are some major storage concerns for bread to go bad that quickly.

Absolutely disgusting the amount I got for £5!!! There is no chicken underneath either it’s full of iceberg lettuce. Honestly subway put a little more chicken in. I work in hospitality and this is terrible.

Worst sub I've had from here, ordered on the new kiosk in store, waited 20 minutes for 2 subs, then the lady got salad and sauce wrong on both subs, instead of making fresh it looks like they've just took sald and sauce off and put right one on because both subs were really soggy when normally they are crispsy after been toasted, I've always used this subway but don't think I will be anymore

Ordered on the new kiosks in store, order took literally half an hour. Then when we got home they were the right sandwiches but with all the wrong toppings, stuff that we had taken off or changes was still on there. What’s the point in the order screens if they don’t follow it? Edit: in response to the reply below we did deselect the toppings and change them on the kiosk but that wasn’t followed.

Don't usually leave reviews but just had to today!! Came here for lunch and was served by Jimmy, he was absolutely lovely and his customer service was second to none! He was very kind and attentive to our needs. Our subs were phenomenal. He is an absolute credit to your team, give the boy a raise 😁

Don't recommend at all was hardly no meat in the special fried rice 1 prawn and no peas just brown rice! the soup didn't come as as soup it was definitely terrible the lady on the phone said she would replace my order which she definitely didn't honor her promise! Stay well clear or you will be disappointed

Be warned, the food may be good here but the customer service is less than bare minimum. The person answering the phone will not write down your full order, then argue back at you about what you asked for. They also cheap out on the gravy in set meals, tiny pots that look the same as taster jars of jam. On multiple occasions I’ve made this complaint and all I’ve received is sass from the other person on the phone. Paid £20 for food and still had to call to another Chinese for gravy, chips, chickenballs and chow mein. Shout out to new Hong Kong for actual good customer service and actually giving me what I order+ not cheating out on the gravy.

Collected a takeaway from here tonight. Was ready in 15 minutes from ordering, food was hot and delicious couldn't fault any part of it. We ordered house special chow mein, mushrooms in gravy, curry sauce and prawn crackers. Everything was perfect.

Big portions for a great price. Very fresh vegetables. Nice and clean. Fast and friendly service. I am vegetarian and their vegetable chop suey is to die for. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Good food, good portions and not expensive

They need to make there mind up. Last week we ordered a set meal and changed the fried rice to soft noodles, extra quid which is fair. Tonight we ordered the same meal and were told we couldn't change. Shame, the food is good but the customer service is nothing short of rubbish.

Absolutely delicious. I don't understand the bad reviews as I have ordered from here a few times now and its always the best. This is a little gem of a place and the food is always great quality. Some of the dishes knock the socks off some high end establishments I have ate in. Restaurant quality food in a takeaway carton.

My wife and mine favourite Italian restaurant. I went for lunch today with my wife and as always the customer service and food quality was outstanding! The staff makes you feel right at home, delivering the best customer service and remarkable attention to the client. The food is excellent, fresh and tasty! 100% would recommend!!

Beautiful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere, the decor in the conservatory really gave you the Italian vibe! Both starters (garlic mushrooms and tomatoe bruschetta) were delightful! Both mains (tagliatelle contadina and quattro formaggio pizza), were delicious! Beautifully cooked and so flavoursome Well done to the chef(s), even my partner who's an ex-chef was very impressed! Very reasonably priced. Plenty of parking spaces is a bonus. The only reason to give 4* stars instead of 5* was that service was quite slow even though the restaurant was practically empty, but we were in no rush, and it was nice to have time between our first and second course. The young little waitress who served us was absolutely lovely, very friendly and accommodating! Overall, would recommend coming here 100%!

Highly delighted when walking in to find comfortable seating and white tablecloths. The food was delicious I had cod which I would highly recommend. The rest of the table had baked sea bass which I will try on my next visit. The staff were extremely welcoming and the music perfect.

Meal for four, all superbly cooked and tasty as always when we dine here. Only fault? We were stuffed and couldn’t finish everything!! Restaurant has been redecorated but still has a cosy feel. Will definitely be back.

We were a bit worried when the Italian Farmhouse changed but I think it's possibly even better under the new name. Pasta was delicious, staff were tolerant of kids and very friendly. It's also made from fresh so they can make adjustments, I had sausage pasta without the sausage!

We went as a family for an evening meal at the Godfather having visited when it was the Italian Farmhouse. I have to say that I was impressed, more so than any previous visits. We arrived in time for the evening special which was a great, a large starter and main for around £14 and the kids meal was £6.50 and more or less adult sized which also included an ice cream. The Garlic cheesebread was delicious as was the chicken main my wife had with asparagus. All in all, a lovely restaurant that we will certainly be returning to

Got the £14 deal with starter and main. Got the stay chicken with the peanut say and it was definitely flavoursome. Others ordered ribs and those were definitely superior. Spicy pork sausage meatballs was the right amount of spice and the sauce was just a basic tomato. Service was decent. Many many options on mains which made it kind of hard to decide but good variety

Food is really nice, definitely the best thing going for this place. We ate in and had pre booked. Restaurant was clean, well designed and laid out beautifully. It would have been a 5 but I think the Management needs a little more communication. The bar lady had drinks to go out but they weren’t being served, and there was a obvious squabble, and we did have to keep reminding them to bring certain things. This issue can be easily ironed out however so shouldn’t really be a long term thing… very excited to come back again with these improvements in place. Special consideration to a male waiter with a slim build and dark hair, his attention and care with our young girl was above and beyond!

It's a nice place to eat and the food is second to none but the only downside is the interior of the restaurant, it's very odd almost tacky and it's trying to be something it's not i.e. a Franky's and Bennies, staff wore polo shirts when they used to wear shirts, TV screens with offers on them and the trendy seating area needs a bar or something closer to it.

Great restaurant with delicious food. Went here with my wife and kids for my wife's birthday a year ago and then again last night. The staff were really friendly even walking my son to the bathroom when he couldn't find the way. The food was great. Everything I tried tasted like time and attention had been paid to it. I'm glad that standards remained high a year later. We had the the Siam sharer and the duck sharer to start which were great. For our mains we had prawn pad Thai, lemon chicken, prawn n broccoli and stirfryed beef. The standout to me was the prawn pad Thai but the crispy noodles with the lemon chicken deserve a shout out. In terms of the decor, the restaurant looked beautiful at first glance, following the Thai theme well with bamboo planters, sculptures and even a water feature in the centre. Looking out the windows across the fields you can see all the way to Penshaw monument. Overall i would go back as i definitely enjoyed my time there.

I've been wanting to come here for AGES. The food absolutely lived up to everything I was hoping for and the restaurant is lovely. All the staff are super friendly too. It's all quite slow but it's very fresh which I assume is why.

We visited the restaurant for a birthday celebration. The staff were great from start to finish, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely as always. We all had a very enjoyable night.

Lovely food presentation, good service and wonderful tastes of Thailand. Having gone back for my birthday meal, and being served what seemed like scraps and leftovers, I have changed my review to one star, although it doesn't even deserve that! I was hugely disappointed and will never return. Sad, as the first visit was so good! Oh well, I'm sure we won't be missed. Go with this warning

Ambience was nice, adequate heating and not noisy. Staff, friendly. Menu looked good. Food, not good. We go Thailand often and we know what authentic Thai food is. Miserable chicken satay. Lousy ribs. Luckily we didn't order more food. Did We enjoy our dinner? No. Will we return? No. My honest opinion.

This place is soooo good, I've forgotten to take pictures of the pork starter, and the curry main dish I had. Only got to take photos of the dessert I had, which was a vanilla and fudge ice cream and that's what you see in this pic and this is just £4.50! The value for money in this place is a class worthy of its own! 👍👍

The food here is always fantastic. Great service from very friendly staff. 🤩Definitely recommend the Massaman Curry and Ribs! We’ve ordered takeaway before which is just as good. The Highfield is also dog friendly in the bar area where you can order food, we did see a yappy sausage dog there on one visit. There’s a small outside seating area out the front which is nice in the summer; would benefit from a bin store around the side (car park area). Will be back for more cheesecake!

Well the night started great..staff lovely..well looked after..starters was delicious..then disaster..2 steaks over cooked and sent back..pizza which was greasy sent back..not to be re.ordered..new steaks brought out..these should have been medium but one was raw in the middle and one was full of grissle and for a fillet not to be cut with a knife was not on..complained and all hell broke loose..as we said we would only pay for what we had eaten and drank..accused of free loading ..shouted at..then the nxt table got involved verbally abusing us!!!ive never been so embarrased..we left..ive always been honest when saying something was not up to standard..however our main meals were not nice at all..hence the one star just for the starters..its a place i will never visit again..and hope nobody has the same experience as we did..what an awful night..

Sadly it’s not like it used to be and it’s not good at all! Nice wine but the food leaves a lot to be desired! Prawns 🍤 ok Beef Stroganoff cooked then put under a heat lamp. Just not good. We’ve been going here for over 8 years but since it’s been taken over it’s sadly gone downhill. We had reason to complain because my daughter’s medium steak was still mooing. They re cooked it and it was tough as old boots 🥾 The whole atmosphere has gone, and the toilets were dirty, as were the doors ! We refused to pay for the steak and that was knocked off the final invoice! Honestly try other places 👍 Finally they brought out limoncello to put the final nail in the coffin! It was water and lime juice and not anything Italian 🇮🇹! Avoid - That’s Amore 🇮🇹

Had another great meal here! The staff are always professional and helpful. Our server — the lady in the red apron with hoops and a fringe — was absolutely lovely. She had to handle a complaint from a nearby table, even though I’d overheard those guests saying how much they enjoyed their food before she approached them. Despite them being so rude and patronising to her - for no reason may I add. She stayed calm, polite, and professional throughout. Everything she did to help them was just shrugged off as they kept complaining - yet still asking to order more food. I really hope she didn’t let that situation ruin her night, because she handled it so well and truly did a great job. As always, the food was delicious too!

Got the bread basket for my starter and it was a slice of toast. Pasta was very oily. Better places for pizza within a 5 min walk for sure.

I went for my birthday meal - amazing service and the food was delicious! They gave me a complimentary cake and limoncello shots for the whole table. Would definitely go again, so friendly and attentive and very affordable food for how nice it was.

Had a great meal and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately the bar itself was very quite so lacked atmosphere, but that is no fault of theirs, just seems to be a sad sign of the times. Unfortunately our taxi didn't turn up (don't use the Nearby App) and we were stood outside as it had passed closing time. When the owners came to leave, they actually gave us a lift home. They didn't have to do that, and we very much appreciated that they did. This gives you a good indication of the type of people the owners are.

The food was very nice. a very talented chef, nice and cozy restaurant. The staff was great but the young lad needs the correct training and would be a good asset to the business.

Superb Italian food - very friendly service and child friendly too. Plenty of choice for all tastes of Italian across the starters, pastas, pizzas, puddings, liqueurs and hot drinks. Can really tell that the ingredients used are of great quality too. Would really recommend Amalfi if you enjoy Italian food.

Ordered at 7:15, didn’t arrive til 9:20. Phones twice and they lied about how long it’d be each time. Order arrived and was missing a whole chicken parmo and the pizza was 10” instead of 12”. Paid £10 for two tubs of Ben and jerrys (half baked and fudge brownie) and it came with two little cookie doughs and three vanilla. Crap. Pizza was undercooked and gross. Fries tasteless. £45 for what ?

First time delivery in a couple of years thought we'd give it a go. Margarita pizza and Hawaiian pizza absolutely horrible over cooked and pizza base was just like a cheap supermarket pizza. Definitely not recommended. Sorry but you need to do better.

I've eaten here a couple of times, as an all adults group and also with two young children. On both occasions the food, service and price were all excellent. The menu is extensive with specials as well. The staff are attentive without being pushy, and genuinely look for honest feedback to improve what is an already excellent restaurant. I'm pleased they offer something a bit different from the standard Italian beer selection, with some rarer Italian beers such as Ichnusa and Morena. I would ideally like some better craft beers and real ales available but I appreciate there may not be enough demand for that to justify stocking it. I would thoroughly recommended giving this a try, you won't be disappointed.

First time at Mamma Mia and was not disappointed, The food was excellent, generous portions even when it was on the special menu, vegetables had a Mediterranean theme, and the Steak was 14oz. Lemon Cheesecake was excellent along with the service, Stacey makes you feel welcome.

Ordered a mixed kebab with chips. £17 with delivery which for a kebab is expensive however the food is nice so willing to pay it. I waited 2 hours for the food to arrive which I wasn’t made aware of, and the order arrived with salad instead. I called the shop but said I’d be waiting at least 45 mins for the chips so they would add them on to the next order. It shouldn’t happen in the first instance however mistakes do happen. They are not that far away so it could have been resolved easily but they didn’t want to. I find it annoying takeaways palming it off on to the next order but to pay above the odds for a poor service is a disappointment. When you order food you want that food. I dont want it in 2 weeks time. This is also the second time this has happened where the incorrect order has arrived, with the previous order costing £60 for 4 people. Paying a premium and it’s not delivered correct on 2 occasions. The food is good but chances are you’re gonna be disappointed judging by our experience.

Last 2 kebabs have been dry. Latest mixed grill we had the adana, chicken and koftr were hard and dry, only the doner was most so clear the rest had been cooked in advance and left there for l. So disappointing as used to be our favourite but it’s not worth the money anymor.

Arrived promptly. £35 for the following: The greasiest dripping pizzas I have ever had, the oil was saturated into the "bread" which dripped when lifted. It did lubricate my arteries and I will pay the price when I need to visit A&E. Value for money? This is not food for life, ask a Doctor.

I'd like recognise and give special thanks to the store manager Liam. Basically I placed an order last week and it wasn't up to standard (not much of 1 extra paid topping, the other extra paid topping was missing altogether), the store had to redirect me to dominos customer service last week who weren't much help either. I called tonight to see if anything could be done and spoke to Liam who sorted the problem no bother. The pizza came quick, it was correct this time and really amazing. I especially appreciate Liam efforts when I've had a very long day mentally today, and don't have the energy to go food shopping. The delivery guy was lovely too. Unfortunately I never have cash on me, but if I had I'd of tipped him. Thank you to Liam for his great customer service & to the delivery driver who came out in the cold!

I never really post reviews but these guys have been treating me well. Been ordering from here once a week for a good while now, they always put in the extra effort with my orders and the food is unreal. I've almost never been disappointed and on the very very rare occasion I have been they've always made it right. Really appreciate Toni there, she's always a pleasure to speak to. Not sure if she is the manager or not, but she needs a raise/promotion or something regardless! 😂 The delivery drivers are top notch and speedy too, always happy to see the lovely older lady turn up (I apologise for not finding out her name before writing this)

I was throughly pleased with the swiftness and sheer determination from William on his shift. Such a hard working young man and might I say, his mullet is truly sublime. Now for the pizza itself. It was delicious and I loved it.

Always enjoy our Sunday lunches here, quality and good portions. The waitresses are always lovely and helpful. Ran out of a dessert after I had placed my order, from a takeaway order. They could not have been more apologetic and gave us a free brownie. Great service! I think you should make sure desserts are more available though as you have ran out of others in the past. I would also like to see more cheesecake options or a change up in the weekly ones.

Arrived with my family around 4:30 and was welcomed even though it was close to closing time. It was a sunday (opening night), so they only served roast dinners. The atmosphere was warm, it felt very American with signs and movie posters all over the walls. The food was excellent, especially the meats, which tasted slow roasted as they seemed to fall apart in the mouth. The only issue that we had was probably due to us arriving so close to closing. The server out of the blue brought us our check while we were halfway through eating our mains. I would have preferred them to let us know how soon they would close on arrival, and then when they have to close, explain the situation and ask if we would like any dessert to go. It felt somewhat like we were being asked to leave.

Rocky’s restaurant, Hetton le hole is one of the best places to eat in the area. Very reasonable prices and excellent food and service. To sum up, Quality at affordable prices and delivering service with a smile in pleasant surroundings.

This review is long over due but I’m so excited to write it and share the incredible experiences we have had every time me and my partner have been to Rocky’s. We started going to Rocky’s several months ago and every time we have gone. It has NEVER disappointed. The atmosphere is phenomenal. The waitress staff are so lovely and friendly. The chefs are very accommodating. Both me and my partner have never had a bad experience going here once. The most recent time we went was for my partners 25th birthday. We had went with his brother and his girlfriend as well and me and my partner and truly I wish I had asked the waitresses name who worked that night because I’d love to mention her by name. She was phenomenal!! So friendly. Very funny and just so sweet. She was an absolute delight ! She made the whole experience even more incredible than it already was. When I say Rocky’s goes above and beyond they truly do. When I mentioned it was my partners birthday she told the chef and they did a tiramisu for him with a candle in it and sang him happy birthday. It made us all smile so much and was just the perfect end to a great day. If I had to recommend anyone a place to eat it would be here cause they truly are something worth sharing!! And that’s coming from someone who struggles to eat at most places but always finds something here to eat 🥰

Staying in the area for 2 nights and found Rockys on Google. How lucky we were. The food was excellent, staff great and the place welcoming. The portions are plentiful and we really enjoyed what we had. Prices were reasonable. If in the area again we will visit.

One of the tastiest Indian’s I have ever eaten. We ate in; the service was friendly and we were well looked after. The food was outstanding, absolutely gorgeous. I took a doggy bag home aa you get good sized portions and it was still as delicious heated up the next day.

I marked down the atmosphere as the restaurant is on a few different levels which meant we were sat on a table in an empty area but had the restaurant been full this may not have made any difference. We stopped using Milan after a poor meal a few months ago. We did state we hoped it was just a one off and they would be back to amazing meals soon. We have a visitor staying from Scotland and he said it was one of the best Indian’s meals he has had for a long time. So pleased you are back on form.

Used to love ordering! Was our go to Indian takeaway but you have changed the naan bread recipe which has spoiled our order unfortunately. Literally did the BEST garlic cheese naan breads I’ve ever had and now they aren’t great at all. Such a shame :(

I order from this place once a week. I've been a customer for 3 years and I have never had a bad meal. Their chicken tikka madras and hairyali are the best around. Chips are lush and their Milan munch boxes are to die for. Highly recommend this Indian!!

First time I've used this takeaway and first impressions were that it was clean and well looked after. The owner was cheery and really helpful. I opted for pork chow mein and my partner went for crispy beef. Both dishes tasted great but we both felt that they were a little drier than what we have had from other takeaways.

The food is good and generally have no problems. However, on calling to check certain dishes allergens, we were told they would not check (by the owner!). It's actually illegal to not have an allergy list and very disappointing from a take away we have used for years. Do not use if anyone in your group has any allergies.

Won a competition from The Food Emporium which consisted of a gorgeous hamper full to the brim of goodies and a free pizza! The pizza was absolutely incredible not your bog standard “pizza shop pizza” we opted for the margarita and I can honestly say this was the best pizza we have had! The dough was cooked to perfection not stodgy and greasy it had so much flavour, I think what makes it unique is the cheese blend they use on them it’s delicious!! We have ordered from here before and have always been served with top quality food with loads of flavour. This place is far from your average takeaway, we are really lucky to have something of top standard like this in our local area! 10/10 thank you guys!!

Normally nice. Ordered food with friends on Friday just gone, been ill with fever, chills, nausea, diarrhoea and horrendous abdominal pains since. Now consulting with doctors. Won't ever be returning. I suggest you do the same. Shocking

Steakhouse burger - burger looked amazing, chips were nice quite over cooked but nice, downfall was the pulled pork had next to no flavour and was a bit dry, brisket tasted unseasoned and was fatty and chewy and burger was dry and over cooked. However that said the salt and pepper bon-bons was lovely, really juicy and flavourful All in all not what you'd expect from a smoke house/grill house for 20 odd quid

We ordered salt and pepper chicken( ideal for kids that want chicken nugget meal) Monterey burger and smokehouse burger. All perfect! Will definitely return. Even 12 year old that is usually picky said his was absolutely lovely 👌

My delivery was over 40 minutes late, tried calling the restaurant again and again and nobody would answer. Finally decided ti get in the car and drive and they finally answered after an hour and said a delivery driver didn’t show and it would be another 15 minutes. I ordered at 4:15 finally got my food at 6:20. No apology from the guy in the shop and had to ask for delivery fee back! Gone downhill with the new owners never again.

2 panang curries and a masaman curry. Masaman got put straight in the bin , tasteless and very shy on the meat , panang decent taste but was so watery , needs thickening up and again very shy on the meat . Overall would not go back here again , not a patch on yings over southwick shame it had closed down .

We have ordered twice before both very good. Today I chose a different starter which is called ‘deep fried king prawns (marinated ...served on a bed of fresh salad), to my surprise the dish is actually a salty broth with small bits of veg and few prawns - rang up to check and they are adamant this dish is the ‘deep fried king prawns’. Speechless and felt it’s misleading.

Locally owned small business, tried for the first time fantastic starters, who knew aubergine could taste so good. We treated ourselves to fillet steak I messed up the instructions to the chef so they phoned to double check, excellent, good value for money and excellent chunky chips with it. The cheese cake was good too. Well worth a try.

Our party of 6 left another restaurant (rude staff!) and tried Casa Monte on the off chance that they might be able to give us a short notice booking. The young lady who greeted us could not have been more welcoming. She was working all by herself in the bar and as server, and still managed to get out drinks orders and food out in reasonable time. The food was FANTASTIC! Not to mention the value for money! The food was hot and had clearly come straight from the pan/oven. My only bit of criticism would be: the ‘back’ of the restaurant where the toilets are, is in desperate need of a refurbishment. If people can support this little restaurant, then maybe they can invest in updating it.

Went in this afternoon and had the happy hour special menu deal and it's a decent price and really great food. The service was amazing and the staff were lovely. Will definitely be going back.

Had a delivery and the only negative was how it came delivered the packaging looked like it had been dropped or something and the top was open so the pasta was spilling. The kids meal wasn't very hot, but can honestly say I ordered carbonara and it was the best I'd tasted in a long time, real chunks of gammon ham, very tasty will definitely have that again!

Not so good. Doesn't look clean. It might be but it doesn't look it. Weird use of neon in the dining area. This needs removing. Food is not presented well. Everything comes with a factory made plastic sauce too. We won't be back.

Definately get your moneys worth from this place. The food is quite good but, can be a bit greasy some times and I think the garlic sauce isn't as good as the one at the Crispy Cods. Decided to order from somewhere new and chose here. My order was: Chicken kebab, quarter pounder cheese burger w/chips, 10" chicken kiev pizza and a free garlic bread for spending over so much. Chicken kebab was absolutely disgusting. So dry it had clearly been warmed through it tasted like left over sundays dinner chicken. I wouldn't like to think when it was actually cooked. Cheese burger was average can't say anything bad about it apart from it could have had some sort of sauce on it. Pizza was okay but was definitely the worst kiev pizza i have had it tasted bland. Chips were clearly warmed through also, they tasted nice but can imagine they would have taste better fresh. Luckily enough i had garlic sauce to dip everything into which made it bearable. Will not be ordering from here ever again.

This is a great fish and chip shop- no kebabs or pizza, just proper, well done traditional chippy menu. Chips are cooked in beef dripping (unless you don't want them to be), and the food is always really well cooked, often to order. Prices are excellent, and there's usually a deal on. Staff are really friendly too! #1 choice of chippy in the area.

Just bought chips and half portion of fish bites at 11.20. There was hardly one whole chip in the portion, the rest were just bits, and barely warm. The fish bites were soggy and the fish looked grey instead of white. Looks like left overs. This is the second time I've been here and thought it couldn't get worse. I was wrong. Maybe they should employ individuals who know what they're doing. Isn't it your job?

I've not been able to have fish and chips with batter for 6 years. Not only were the chips the best I've ever had, the fish melted in my mouth and the batter was crispy and golden. I'm pleased you were recommended and you will be seeing me and my Son again. Thank you so much 😁

I ordered on Wednesday as a pre order for today at 1 o'clock however it came 3 and a half hours later.. I tried ringing but line was busy or just rang out. Safe to say I ignored the door just like they ignored the phone. They obviously served customers in the shop first which is disgusting considering the business should've been closed during this pandemic

The owner and staff are lovely here. Food was delicious and fresh. Gluten free is also offered here, as are battered Mars Bars and deep-fried buns filled with beans and cheese or chicken curry. Say what!?

Been coming here for years ordered a lot recently been in their Diner and ordered to my house. I always order the same when we get a Breakfast I ask for no Black Pudding on one and both with Tomatoes! Last week I received Black Pudding on one of the Breakfasts when I asked for none on one so I took it off! This week I received Beans on one of the Breakfasts which were soaked into the toast and touching half my Breakfast so I call up and ask if they can sort it out, I spend 2 minutes on the other end of the phone listening to them all talking about me and how I ordered Beans! Which I did not! The girl comes back on the phone and says the ticket says Beans, apparently this couldn’t have been their error it was mine! They refused to exchange my Breakfast. I am fuming that’s how they treat their customers of years what a joke. If you order from here make sure you repeat your order because they will treat you like a liar! Absolutely fuming Also I was told £15.45 on the phone but when the delivery driver showed up it was £16.45. I should have said no I was told £15.45!!!!! When you pay that much for 2 breakfasts you expect to get your right order or atleast it sorted out when they seem to make so many mistakes!!!!!!!!!!!

We always order the Belly Buster breakfast. The quality and quantity of the food is outstanding. Today I would like to address the customer service and delivery driver. We had a slight problem with our breakfast so called the diner to inform them. The lady that answered the phone was absolutely lovely and rectified the problem immediately in a friendly and professional manner. The replacement was sent out and arrived in just a few minutes. The deliver driver is an absolute star. Super friendly and always smiling. All in all we couldn't be happier customers. What an absolute gem Chilton Diner is !!

Service was really good, breakfast was delicious, sausages weren't my favourite but that's my opinion, still ate them, they weren't not nice by any means, but I've had better. Only issue was seemed to take a long time to get served, as if they are concentrating on orders before sitty downers. Place is clean and friendly. Food is great. Chill on a Sunday for ya brekkie, no issues. Could be a five but only let down by the waiting time. And I think its gotta be summit special for a five star. All that said, I'll be back. Lovely place

Just had a lovely takeaway, chicken kebab very tasty and very fresh, pitta breads lovely and soft. Chips were delicious.Food piping hot even though it's a cold night and delivery was to Washington. Speedy delivery time too 🥰

Walked in and ordered a mixed kebab and a 12" thin and crispy pizza. Prepared and served in good time. Meals were good and freshly made. First time there but not the last.

Always order from here and the food is always amazing , reasonably priced and always has great customer service. Staff are polite and friendly and food is always delivered on time

Found this place a few months ago and i can honestly say ive never had a bad meal... the food is delicious.. the salad is always fresh and the food is hot when it arrives.. Good sized portions and the staff are lovely.. they usually let you know if they are busy. I wouldnt go anywhere else now there is just something special about this place x

Firstly I’d like to say the customer service was great! I ordered from here for the first time tonight and for a person that has takeaways a LOT I have never had food like it! I ordered the chicken wrap; grilled chicken breast pieces with lettuce, fried onions and mixed peppers with garlic mayo in a tortilla wrap! With every bite my mouth was bursting with such amazing flavours! I also ordered a 12” pepperoni stuffed crust pizza for my partner and the look of it was mouthwatering I wanted it for myself! My partner is very fussy with his pizzas and he was extremely pleased with this! The garlic mayo sauce was perfect too not too strong neither. Delivery was quicker than I had expected and driver was lovely and happy :) will definitely order from here again! Thank You

If I could give this place a 0, I would. Ordered my pizza with no extra toppings on a bolognese pizza, rang up to ask what we were able to do in terms of returning this and having the correct one sent back to us, as the one they sent was with mushrooms, onions etc. … only for the staff to tell me ‘it’s not there problem’, ‘what do you want me to do?’ Or ‘it’ll come out of my pocket’…

Waited nearly 2 hours for delivery,i tried loads to ring to ask how long but never managed to evan get through without it going to voicemail came luke warm and asked for cheesy chips and bolongese dint put any bolongese in and chips was freezing cold and dry. Good customer to very disappointed with everything.
