Simply gorgeous log cabin style restaurant, with a daily menu. Very helpful and well-informed staff about gluten free options, excellent local food - we particularly loved the mixed starter and the desserts are amazing. We ordered one, then ended up ordering three more :)

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel Vecchio Scarpone. Very charming alpine vibe, with rooms that were recently renovated, very stylish and very comfortable. The service was terrific, everyone very friendly and welcoming. Elena took great care of us. Both Elena and others took time to share some interesting facts about the region, and provided numerous suggestions for excursions in the area. We arrived late, just after the restaurant closed but we were able to get something to eat, including a lasagna dish featuring locally sourced wild boar. The breakfast buffet was perfect, great selection of freshly made items, and a buffet with juices, yogurt, bread, coffee and more. Can’t recommend this place enough! Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Fabio is the best, super funny, personable & a great host. We went to stay for one night and ended up staying for two. He was supposed to close on our second night but canceled his plans to host us for another night. His kept us well fed with delicious food, mostly homemade by him. His cakes were incredible. He seems to be a local favorite, even the local fox’s come to visit him for dinner every night. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an authentic experience in Alpe Campriolo. My photos don’t do this amazing place justice!

I came here a year ago! But my god has this place stayed firmly in my mind. Wonderful service and great food in a spectacular location.

The view is stupendous, but only in the rooms facing the back, because the others face the street. Breakfast unfortunately left us with a bad taste in our mouths, due to the absence of service you have to fill your cup via a dispenser that does a bit of everything, milk, chocolate, coffee, cappuccino etc etc it wouldn't cost anything serve a cappuccino made by you! At the table you will find mini biscuits packaged in plastic bags, which you will have to cover with cherry or apricot preserves, also packaged in plastic. Hoteliers: You have a wealth of local products, such as yoghurt, blueberries, cheeses and cold cuts, it's a shame not to find them on the hotel tables! The rooms, like the interior of the structure, are very clean, but abandoned to themselves: uncovered power sockets, broken tiles, the toilet flushing which, once pressed, makes a lot of noise for several minutes, waking up the neighbors in the room. On the balcony the space is minimal, with exposed pipes covered in rock wool (I think), which is also broken. All things considered, €70 per night is a truly disproportionate figure for what it offers. But in the absence of anything else, this hotel allowed us to enjoy the fantastic Alpe Devero! The staff are really kind and helpful, genuine people! If you improved all these things, you would have a hotel worth the Arabian Nights for the area it is in! (Original) Metto 5 stelle perché non ha senso affossare un'attività locale come questa, dopo un periodo nero come questo, pertanto la mia recensione vuole solo essere costruttiva per i proprietari: la struttura vista da fuori sembra essersi bloccata a 50 anni fa, le camere invece a 70 anni fa; l'hotel avrebbe bisogno di essere ammodernato. La vista è stupenda, ma solo nelle stanze che danno sul retro, perché le altre danno sulla strada. La colazione ahimè ci ha lasciati con l'amaro in bocca, a causa dell''assenza del servizio devi provvedere a riempire la tua tazzina tramite un distributore che fa un po' tutto, latte, cioccolata, caffè, cappuccino ecc ecc non costerebbe nulla servire un cappuccino fatto da voi! Al tavolo troverete delle mini fette biscottate confezionate dentro delle buste di plastica, che dovrete ricoprire con la conserva di ciliegia o albicocca, anch'essa confezionata nella plastica. Albergatori: Avete fior fior di prodotti locali, quali yogurt, mirtilli, formaggi ed affettati, è un peccato non trovarli nelle tavole dell'hotel! Le camere, come del resto l'interno della struttura, sono molto pulite, ma abbandonate a sé stesse: prese della corrente scoperte, piastrelle rotte, sciacquone del gabinetto che una volta premuto fa molto rumore per diversi minuti, svegliando i vicini di camera. Sul balcone lo spazio è minimo, con tubature a vista ricoperte dalla lana di roccia (credo), peraltro rotta. Tirando le somme, 70€ a notte sono una cifra davvero spropositata per ciò che offre. Ma in mancanza d'altro, questo hotel ci ha permesso di goderci la fantastica Alpe Devero! Il personale è veramente gentile e disponibile, persone genuine! Se miglioraste tutte queste cose, avreste un hotel da mille e una notte per la zona in cui si trova!
