Italian restaurant
Nestled in a charming brick-walled setting, D'Anna's Cafe Italiano is a delightful Italian eatery that has been captivating diners since the early 90s. Originally starting as a wholesale pasta business in Seattle, the restaurant quickly gained acclaim for its fresh pasta and authentic Sicilian dishes, prompting the owners to open their own establishment in Bellingham.
Had a girls night out. D'Annas is a wonderful Italian restaurant. Our server was great, food delicious. Definitely coming back when I visit again. One note , this establishment is nice enough to be serving wine in wine 🍷 glasses. We were all shocked to see it served in highball glasses. Boo. Should we have asked?

I was craving some Italian food and this hit the spot. I like the interior, seating is comfortable, and the animal paintings on the walls are unique and interesting, overall very nice inside, although it does get a bit loud where we were sitting. We ordered Aglio e Olio and Ravioli which were both delicious.
Tally — Google review
We celebrated our first anniversary at D'Anna's this past weekend, and despite the raving reviews we saw, we weren't exactly wow'd. There wasn't anything wrong per se with our meals, the salad with the bread was exceptional, both pastas were a bit oily and our main dishes were just fine. We had eggplant parm and chicken marsala. The tiramisu was a bit dry though the spumoni ice cream was delicious. I did have a basil mule (mocktail) that was wonderful. We felt rushed by the server as he dropped our bill off before we were even done eating. The restaurant was busy, but there were some empty tables, so not sure why the rush. I'd probably go back, but wouldn't call it a favourite.
Kim K — Google review
Wonderful experience! The food is amazing and the staff exceptional. The lemon ice cream dessert is above and beyond delicious! Highly recommend!
Kathi M — Google review
The place was very busy. We waited an hour to be seated. The waitress did not introduce herself. She favored one table while ignoring others, including ours. Some dishes were good: lasagna and squash ravioli. The gnocchi tasted good but had too much fat. The spaghetti was bland. The waiters did not ask us if we’d like dessert or if we would be paying together or separately. Overall, the food was okay, but the service was not.
Lala — Google review
We have been dining at D’Anna’s since 2009 and the consistency in excellence hasn’t changed over the years. They have THE very best Chicken Marsala on the Planet! I order it every single time and they never miss a beat; deliciously amazing! Love their salad and bread, homemade noodles as well as Pesto! Not to be forgotten, Chianti. A must have. 💕♥️💋
Evelyn A — Google review
We hadn't been to Deanna's in maybe two years, so we decided to wait for a table and get our Italian on. While waiting, we met another couple who were there to celebrate the gentleman's birthday. Had good conversation with them and gave a round of applause after blowing out the candle on the desert staff brought him. We also bumped into friends there and joined them for desert and drinks after our meals were over. All unexpected, but made for a great evening. Our servers both had a great sense of humor. The food was amazing, as usual. We had lasagna and chicken parmesan. You can't go wrong with anything you order at Deanna's.
Alyssa S — Google review
I went to dinner with my best friend at her favorite place, D’ Anna’s. We went right after work, so the place wasn’t busy yet. We got a table by the window. We started with the ravioli sampler which was good. We then had salad and bread. The salad didn’t have quite enough dressing on it. The bread wasn’t great either. I ordered the Pasta primavera and my friend had the gnocchi. She was very happy with her dish. I found mine a little bland. Service was nice, but we did have to ask for more water. All in all I would definitely go again, and just order differently.

Restaurant
Carnal, a relatively new restaurant in Bellingham, is the brainchild of two New York chefs who have brought their expertise in live wood-fired cooking to the Pacific Northwest. The menu at Carnal is small but dynamic, with a focus on seasonal ingredients and fresh produce. While the name suggests a meat-centric experience, there are also options for vegans and vegetarians.
Damn, what a meal. Everything was delicious, service was friendly but not overwhelming. The steak was perfect but the eggplant that came with it was melt-in-your-mouth superb. Imo their veggie dishes and sides are at the same level or even better than the meat. Will def keep this on our regular rotation. My only comment is that inside can be very loud, the patio outside was a bit better in terms of volume.
Min K — Google review
I love this restaurant and have been here a few times now, and it never fails to absolutely impress me. Bellingham is so lucky to have such a gem to dine at. We ordered a lot of food to share with the family and not one thing was disappointing. The bread and butter is delicious, the chicken wings are so yummy, the fries in smoked beef tallow are divine, but my favourite were the marinated cucumbers with pineapple. Our larger plates were all delicious- short rib, pasta, black cod - the ragu is on the spicy side, and the flavour on the finish was a bit subdued compared to the other plates but will delicious and perfectly cooked. The service is always attentive and friendly, ready to explain anything about the dishes. The cocktails are a standout here as well! If I could give this place more stars I would!
Margarita W — Google review
Carnal absolutely lives up to all of its glowing reviews and well-deserved accolades—even the praise from big names like The Seattle Times. The menu may be small, but it is mighty, with every dish crafted with incredible attention to detail. Chef James adds such creativity and flair to the seasonal menu, and he even came to my table personally to explain the ingredients in the pea salad with all farm fresh ingredients and the fries fried in beef fat. Let me just say—those fries were the crispiest I’ve ever had in my life. They didn’t need a thing, though the jalapeño aioli on the side was divine. The atmosphere was lively and the place was packed on a Saturday evening, but service was outstanding. My server, Kristy, was juggling over 16 outdoor tables with a smile, never missing a beat. She delivered our food quickly, with no delays, and made the experience all the more enjoyable with her upbeat energy. From start to finish, this was an unforgettable dining experience. If you get the chance to come here, don’t hesitate—this is one of those spots you’ll want to visit before it’s impossible to get a table & the place is sold.
Misha S — Google review
Celebrated our 10 year anniversary dinner here! First time stropping in and it was phenomenal! The environment was cozy and modest. We were seated quickly! All the servers were so efficient and personable. The chef came to explain flavors to our dishes upon drop off. Amazing cocktails. The food was killer. You have to have good tastes bud. Open to new flavors. We ordered kind of blind to what we would experience flavor wise and it was 10/10. The BEST part though. THE DESSERTS! We are always looking for a restaurant that doesn’t skip on the attention to a good dessert. This place put in the effort. We order both desserts on the menu and the flavors just kept rolling on your tongue until the last bite! We will be back! Highly recommend.
Megan B — Google review
This was the best food experience I have ever had. I have been here many times with my family and partner and every time it feels so special and unique. There is so much clear passion that goes into all of the food and cocktails, there is an endless amount of things to appreciate here. The waitstaff are so incredible and go out of their way to make your experience special. One incredible experience that I had was with one of the bartenders sharing their love and passion of fernet with my family and I and guiding us through a first experience! This is one of few places that I could recommend to anyone for any occasion worth celebrating. I can’t express how special this place is!

“One bite, everybody knows the rules…” But let’s be real—after one bite of Carnal’s Pizza Night, I wasn’t stopping. If you haven’t been to Carnal in Bellingham on a Monday or Tuesday, you are seriously missing out. I was up from Seattle for work and had to try their new Detroit-style pizzas and let me tell you—it rivals the best spots in Seattle. In fact, if this was in Capitol Hill or Ballard? You’d see lines down the block. It’s that good. We tried three: • Smoked Provolone & Fresh Basil – a classic combo, elevated. Cheese pulls, crispy crust, fragrant basil. • Slow-Cooked Short Rib, Caramelized Onion & Sunflower Pesto – rich, savory, and a little sweet. Like a full meal on a square. • ‘Nduja, Stracciatella & Calabrian Chile – 🔥 spicy but addicting. That kind of heat you chase, not run from. Also—get the meatballs. I’m not telling you, I’m begging you. Soft, flavorful, sauced just right. Atmosphere? Chill. Service? Friendly. Pizza? 9.3. Put some respect on Bellingham’s name. Carnal Pizza Night is a destination.
Heather H — Google review
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. All hits, no misses — every single dish we got was fantastic. Especially loved the milk bread, snap pea salad, and wings. Everything felt so fresh, flavorful and inventive. Dark chocolate mousse for dessert is also not to be missed! The atmosphere outside was perfect for a summer evening as well. 100% will be back next time I’m in Bellingham!
Carlie P — Google review
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday, we’ve only heard good things about Carnal. It absolutely did not disappoint. We went on a Wednesday, so naturally, had to get the steak frites special (comes with smaller portion of the gem salad and roasted corn milk bread). We also got the snap pea salad, linguine bolognese, and a Mexican Coke (pebble ice + lime!!!), alabaster, and the state street swizzle for bevs! Everything was truly so delicious and it was a wonderful experience being there. Service was so great. We got dessert on the house too :) We will be back! Cheers to the Carnal team.

Boundary Bay Brewery & Bistro is a beloved Bellingham establishment that has been independently owned and operated since 1995. Housed in a restored historic warehouse, it offers a taproom, family-friendly bistro, deck for outdoor dining, and a dog-friendly beer garden hosting summer events. As the city's oldest brewpub, it played a pivotal role in starting Bellingham's brewery scene.
Great food including vegan options, and large assortment of beer. We asked for a flight and it came in an adorable little boat. As a head's up, in the spring and summer, the farmers market is directly across the street and parking can be difficult to find. All parking (street and in a lot) requires payment
Crystal D — Google review
The food and the beer were excellent. Had the Banh Mi bowl and a North West IPA, both were delicious. The server, however, seemed like he’d rather be anywhere else other than working here. Kinda put a real damper on the whole experience, but who knows what was going on in his life on this day. Still, it made the experience less than memorable. I know you’re not here to entertain, but even showing a little enthusiasm would go a long way, otherwise find another career?
John B — Google review
I usually avoid leaving negative reviews—especially when most of the experience was actually quite good. The location is great, parking was fine, and the building has a nice, clean look without being over-designed. The overall vibe is super chill and positive, with a friendly, hippie-style atmosphere. The food was tasty, with vegan options available, which is always appreciated! Unfortunately, the service brought the experience down. Our server—a young woman—seemed really disengaged, like she didn’t want to be there. I get it, we all have off days, and maybe she just needed a break. But as a guest coming to relax and enjoy, it’s a bit disappointing when the energy feels off and no one even checks in to ask how the food was. This isn’t a complaint to get anyone in trouble—just a friendly suggestion to the management: maybe offer a bit more training or support to the team. There’s so much potential here! For now, I can only give ⭐️⭐️⭐️—but I genuinely hope to see improvements and would be happy to come back and give it another shot.
Alex B — Google review
So glad I had the chance to visit Boundary Bay before they retire — what an experience! The “Look No Hands” Hazy IPA was excellent, bright and flavorful, and their on-tap cider was equally delicious. I also tried a Manhattan — it was just okay, but to be fair, this is a brewery, not a cocktail bar, so I’ll let that slide. Food-wise, the clam chowder is a full 5/5 — creamy, rich, and everything you want on a Northwest evening. The salmon chowder was more of a 3/5 for me; big chunks of salmon (which I loved), but it needed a little more flavor. With some extra salt and pepper, I still happily ate it, and even enjoyed the leftovers later that night. But the real star of the menu? The steamed clams. Absolute showstopper. The sauce they come in is phenomenal — the kind of broth you mop up with bread until the bowl is bone dry. My table went silent while eating them, everyone just scooping, slurping, and soaking up that sauce. Do not skip these! Also, if you get a salad, do yourself a favor and upgrade to the harvest salad. It’s hearty, flavorful, and the best choice on the greens side. Boundary Bay is truly a Bellingham classic, and while I’m sad they’re closing, I’m so glad I got to experience it firsthand. A memory worth keeping.

Family favorite for 30 years. Hard to imagine Bellingham without BB. The blat, harvest salad, mac n cheese, deviled eggs, burger on Ralph's pretzel bun and root beer are some of my favorites. Love the beer garden. Been to so many shows, events and celebrations there. Thank you for serving the community for so many years, you will be missed
Jadey — Google review
Got the Tofu Sandwich and it was absolutely phenomenal. My waitress Violet was attentive and so genuine. Vibes were great, presentation, drinks, and food. I'm so happy I stumbled upon this place on my short stay in Bellingham. I can't wait to come back!
Brandon D — Google review
Great beer selection, excellent service, friendly atmosphere. The food is a cut above the average pub fare. I had the salmon chowder and the pesto salmon sandwich with roasted potatoes. Delicious! Anikah served me at the bar. She was there when needed, and never intrusive. It was my first time there, but she greeted many of her apparent regulars by name, and knew their preferred drinks. Great place! I hope to become a regular.
Vern W — Google review
I’ll start with the positive, the keg burger was fantastic and a top tier burger. It was the right amount of heat and toppings. We did have to wait 10 minutes to sit inside, although there seemed to be tables on the patio we could have sat at also it wasn’t that crowded at all. The food also took about 25 minutes to reach our table. Sitting at a drafty table, I think it was maybe an off day but a weekend lunch should have expected a bit better

Mallard Ice Cream is a vibrant and lively ice cream parlor that offers a variety of classic and unique flavors made from locally-sourced ingredients. The bright, colorful walls create a fun atmosphere for customers to enjoy their ever-changing selection of ice creams, all of which are crafted in-house. From traditional favorites like cookies and cream to more adventurous options such as Molasses Cheesecake With Antler Baking Company Gingerbread or Tumeric, there's something for every palate.
I absolutely love this place! They’ve got such unique and fun flavors (like wasabi!), but also plenty of classics like cheesecake and cookies & cream if you’re feeling something familiar. The quality of the ice cream is top-tier—super creamy and flavorful. They also serve coffee and even offer pints to-go, which is perfect if you want to stock up at home. Service is always fast and friendly, even when the line is out the door (which happens often—and for good reason!). Definitely one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend!

Visited today and tried their cookie and cream and a scoop of cheese cake ice cream. Both were absolutely delicious—creamy, rich, and packed with generous chunks of cookies. The cafe itself was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was inviting, with a cozy and vibrant environment that made it a perfect spot to enjoy a treat. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving a great ice cream and a wonderful ambiance!!

Dessert craving after our dinner nearby brought us here. The store has ample space inside and offer a variety of seasonal flavors. We got strawberry, coconut chocolate almond, cookies and cream, and vanilla scoops. The ice-cream was delightfully creamy and indulgent!! Absolutely wonderful flavors. We relished our time here.
Abhash S — Google review
This is a great little ice cream shop! The indecision scoop is such a great idea, there were so many unique flavors that it was hard to narrow it down, we'll definitely have to come back. The decor is really fun as well and the cashier was very helpful and friendly. There's a lot of seating options and they also have a shelf full of board games.
K P — Google review
Mallard Ice Cream is such a fun spot, and definitely a must-visit if you’re in the area. They’ve got a lineup that swings from classic comfort flavors like Oreo and cheesecake to the truly adventurous — think dill, cardamom, and other wacky combinations you don’t usually see in an ice cream case. It makes the experience playful because you can always try something new alongside your favorites. The vibe of the shop is adorable — lots of seating, plenty of space to enjoy your cone with friends, and a quirky atmosphere that makes it feel both cozy and unique. And the ducks… LOTS of ducks. Rubber ducks everywhere! It’s whimsical, though I have to admit it struck me as a little funny. Since the name is Mallard, I half-expected some nod to real mallards (especially in a hunting-friendly area), but instead you’re surrounded by the bright, cartoonish rubber duckies. It’s charming, just a little off-theme if you think too hard about it. Overall, the ice cream itself is what makes this place shine — creative, creamy, and made with care. Whether you want something wild or something classic, Mallard Ice Cream delivers.
Sammie S — Google review
Very good ice cream nice choices, nice workers and vibrant colors. I recommend it.

Best ice cream in the state. We've never tried a flavor we didn't like here, which is significant because my family is picky with ice cream. Our faves are cookies n cream, cardamom, super chocolate, blackberry lemon sorbet, and lots of the random ones I can't remember. I'm waiting for chocolate with oreo or coffee with oreo. Those would be primo. Fun atmosphere too! Love that they offer punch cards.
Becky B — Google review
Drawn here due to the great reviews and unique flavours! Unfortunately some of the flavours I wanted to try were sold out! However I got to try bourbon black pepper (my favourite), pecan cheesecake (least favourite), cold brew, raspberry mint tea, and red currant. I really like that they have sinks available outside of the washroom and water for drinking. I wish they had more tables that were smaller.

We came to Mount Bakery in Bellingham on a Sunday morning and were delighted to find no wait. Olivia was our server, and she was so pleasant and welcoming right from the start. We ordered the BLA, which was absolutely delicious—definitely big enough to share, and we’re glad we did! The menu is robust, with lots of fresh options, and everything we saw looked amazing. The café itself is cozy and cutely decorated. You can sit outside, grab a window seat inside, or take your food to go. I also loved that they offer day-old baked goods at a bargain price—such a nice touch. Parking was easy with plenty of street spots nearby, and every staff member we encountered was super friendly. This is definitely a spot worth trying if you’re in Bellingham!
Misha S — Google review
Absolutely must try. I was expecting Mount Bakery to be a nice small town breakfast experience. I was not expecting the level of attention given to literally every detail on my plate. My eyes were drawn to the bright colors used on the plates and then the beautiful layout of these delicious Benedict’s. The breakfast potatoes were just perfect, a little crispy on the outside with a perfect earthy potato aroma.. delicious! It’s hard to say these Benedict’s (mushroom Benedict and smoked salmon Benedict) weren’t some of the best I’ve had… because they were! I absolutely LOVE the hollandaise served with these dishes. Just the right amount of citrus … clearly made in-house, which is rare! The attention to customers is really great, the people helping you were really in to making sure patrons were enjoying their experience. This is not “just another breakfast/brunch place”. Mount Bakery Cafe is at the top of their game. The Typical Tourist will absolutely remember their experience and the semi local is missing out if this hasn’t been checked off must try places.

We are here with friends for a Sunday brunch. My friend and I got the Quiche of the day which was yummy, but a little cold for her. She sent it back so they comp-ed it and gave us two free cookies. We also both ordered the raspberry cream cheese croissant, but we got the last one and had to split it. It was delicious which is prolly why they sold out of both. If you don't like cold quiche be sure to ask for it hot. Our hubbies got bigger breakfasts with eggs, bacon and house made sourdough and focaccia which they both seemed to love. We also enjoyed some mimosas in their outdoor dining area which sat on an intersection that had a view of the water down two different city streets. It's a lovely spot I highly recommend.
Lane K — Google review
This was an interesting place to eat. Located downtown in an old building. Expect to pay for parking. Limited seating. There is a small outdoor seating and some indoor. Kind of cluttered looking open kitchen. Maybe they are going for a hippie appeal? It doesn't say on the menu but they do have gluten free bread and crepes. Some Dairy free milk options. The pesto turkey sandwich was almost all bead, very little turkey. The waffle is not worth $15. There is fresh fruit on it, so that is a plus. The waffle is not sweet, so if you want sweet ask for syrup. The potatoes were good 👍. Staff was friendly. They did not have unsweetened black iced tea! The coffee was pretty good. I think we will skip this place in the future.
Cynthia A — Google review
My first time here and the food and staff are great! They have Gluten Free options, and everything tastes good. It was a little louder than I'd personally prefer for it being around brunch time as I'm typically still waking up but overall it was great!
Dezeray H — Google review
So-so experience here. We sat in the covered outdoor area - so cute!! I'm not typically a coffee drinker but we had a long day ahead so I grabbed an iced mocha and it was very good! Ordered lemon curd waffle, the salmon benny and the classic breakfast. The waffle was amazing, the lemon curd and the whipped cream balance each other out so it was neither too sweet nor too tart. I was very excited for, then pretty disappointed with the salmon benny. I had asked specifically for the egg to be hard-poached and it was not at all, ran all over everything. Also did not realize the salmon was not going to be fully cooked either, so I was unable to eat my $18 breakfast plate. I would have asked the server to replace it but the service was pretty terrible and I didn't want to wait any longer for a second order. Overall, the experience was just okay. I would definitely give it a second shot but with much lower expectations.

We arrived right at opening (4pm) on a Saturday. Party of 5. Hostess was a bit slow and not very attentive. Our waiter was kind of indifferent. We took advantage of the happy hour oysters and the Paloma. Great oysters and drink. We asked for bread and it was fresh off the grill although we kind of had to beg for the bread versus just being provided. We ordered a few orders of fish and chips. Fish and fries were great. Tartar sauce was just ok. Very mayonnaise heavy and little dill or vinegar. The king salmon dish was decent. The fish was bland but the mushrooms, potatoes and squash were good. The shrimp and polenta was OUTSTANDING! The panna cotta was great too. Overall the food was good. Bartender was awesome! Hostess and waiter were underwhelming. Atmosphere was good. Cute place. Spent $200.

Such a hidden gem! The oysters were incredibly fresh, the mussels full of flavor, and the tiger prawns juicy and delicious. After a long hike, this was the most satisfying dinner I could ask for. Thank you for the amazing food and cozy atmosphere!

Patio seating was very comfortable. Indoor seating looked great too. The service was amazing. Everyone was great, helpful, informed about the menu. The food was good. Fresh oysters and bucket of muscles were amazing. Many beverages to choose from.

Lovely experience here! I came for dinner with my family and we sat on the back patio which was perfect. I got the sauteed lion's mane and the beet salad (both pictured) and would recommend both, really flavorful and beautiful presentation. The happy hour is great as well and service was absolutely top notch. Inside was cute as well, could definitely see sitting in the bar area as a cute date night. Excellent go-to spot in Bellingham!

Came here for some delicious oysters and decided to try some other things. There was not too many people here and it wasn’t too hot so we decided to sit outside and everyone decided to sit outside because the weather was so beautiful and the atmosphere was amazing. Zach is great, along with Pete and Bob, they all did amazing. They made sure that we had water.,Our plates were cleared. They were checking on us and asking if we needed anything. The only thing I would add is the beef short ribs needed to be a little bit more rendered and the polenta , a little bit more salt. The restaurant is super clean and there are plenty of staff working, which is great to see because some restaurants are always shorthanded.

Came here the other night and had oysters, halibut and mussels. Delicious cocktails and beautiful minimalistic restaurant decor. The halibut was like BUTTER - in a good way. So fresh and light and melted in your mouth. Everything was good, except our mussels, which we couldnt each much of due to a pungent fish smell that made us strongly believe they had gone bad. Which was a bummer, because it was a lot of mussels. So we were pretty hungry after dinner from not being able to eat them.

Had an excellent dinner here on our initial visit. Some of the best oysters we've ever had! If you intend to catch their happy hour, you'll be best to get there ~15-30 minutes prior to it ending. We arrived 5 minutes early and that was apparently too late to get the deals. We still enjoyed the place.

Old Town Cafe is a beloved local spot that has been serving up delicious breakfast and lunch for over 50 years. The cafe prides itself on using locally sourced organic ingredients to create their mouthwatering dishes, which include a variety of egg dishes, pancakes, French toast, and granola for breakfast, as well as soup, sandwiches, burgers, and salads for lunch.
Great breakfast place, one of the best, in Bellingham. It's always busy on Sundays but we waited 30 minutes and it was worth it! The Number Nine was awesome and the French toast was also great. The staff is very helpful and friendly, even when they're slammed. Great breakfast spot!

I’m so happy we found this restaurant! We’re from Seattle and came to Bellingham for a getaway and Old Town met all of our needs. We love supporting small family owned businesses, and this one deserves our all! The food was amazing, locally sourced, great atmosphere, great people. Highly recommend!

Popped in here for a quick lunch and was delighted to find this gem. Spouse and I each enjoyed the falafel wrap which had grilled (not fried) falafels, really fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, and terrific seasoning. Lovely service too. Lots of tempting items on the menu so return we will.

Usually always a wait to get a table but that's how you know the food is good. I always get the same thing, number 9 with half hash half beans. The biscuits and gravy is also vegetarian and so dang good!

Meh. Waited 45min to be seated, which was fine except they seated a huge group ahead of us that arrived like 15min after we did. We’re told by our server they would be right with us after they “took care of this big group”. 20min later until someone finally came to take our orders. Servers certainly weren’t unfriendly, but definitely not friendly either, all seemed kind of indifferent to us, even a little passive aggressive. Food was not great, probably the blandest omelette I’ve ever eaten and the gravy on my wife’s biscuit and gravy tasted like mayo somehow. Home fries were good though. I used to really like this place when I used to come years ago and was excited to go back but feel like it’s gone downhill, or maybe I was just easier to please back then. Either way, I probably wouldn’t wait that long for their food again.

This place was packed for a reason. The food was great & very tasty with some unusual twists. The Thani mushroom gravy was so good on my biscuit. The home fries were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of seasoning. The beans were flavorful & there was too much food of course. I had a cup of tea which they have many to choose from if you like your teas. The place is very eclectic with the decor, I loved the style. I would definitely give this place a try.

Stopped in for brunch after coming across Old Town Café during our walk. Short wait, but we got a table in their raised, covered patio. I had the Greek Tofu Scramble (no issues for us to omit olives) and my friend had their Chipotle Chicken Avocado Sandwich (with a roasted beet salad). My scramble was a heaping plate of cubed organic grilled tofu, spinach with feta and garlic, soft corn tortilla, home fries, and black beans. Definitely filling enough for our lunch! The tofu had a nice flavour and it came with a good amount. We weren't sure what to do with the tortilla, so ended up filling it with black beans and ate them together. Satisfying meal! With the heaviness of some of the food, water was a necessity. My friend enjoyed their sandwich with the avocado and side salad. The only downside was their coffee. When they poured the milk into it, the milk curdled and became undrinkable. Fortunately, our server promptly brought them a fresh mug of coffee and milk, and the refills after that were fine.

We went for breakfast at 10:15am on a sunny day in April. The wait was only about 35-40 minutes. Lots of benches around inside and out to wait, or you can take a walk and return. Service was quick and pleasant. We had to wait a bit for our food, but it was worth it! My French toast was crispy on the outside, best I’ve had in a LONG time! My husband demolished his #9 Breakfast. Said it was scrumptious! Our coffee was kept filled. Also, did you know it’s one of the most haunted buildings in Bellingham and the space used to be a morgue! 😆

The relaxed atmosphere makes it perfect for a laid-back lunch experience.
A super cute restaurant in Bellingham! It’s definitely a hidden gem. The interior is cool and full of characters. A group of us shared some good meals and the price is decent too. Pork Belly Tacos were amazing! Have to try the homemade soda next time!

Family and I were looking for lunch on a Saturday and found this place. No wait, just a table straight away. Our wait staff was so sweet and very personable. The pizza here is like a focaccia bread dough. The kids were each able to get a slice and husband and I shared a full one. So good. The dough was airy and the ingredients were fresh. If you are looking for good pizza, this is your place. The vibes are also just, 10/10.

Delicious tacos and drinks! My margarita was tasty and very heavy on the tequila. I appreciated the Pride flag. It made my partner and I feel comfortable. A homophobic customer came in and complained about Black Sheep supporting the gays. The staff very professionally and politely pointed him in the direction of another restaurant. Thanks for supporting me and my partner!

Storia Cucina is a chic brick-lined eatery in Bellingham, known for its affordable and authentic Italian cuisine. Run by renowned restaurateur Jonathan Cicotti, the restaurant prides itself on responsibly sourced and locally made ingredients, offering a range of classic Italian dishes such as antipasti, pasta, and pizza. The menu features handmade touches like fresh-milled focaccia bread and pulled pappardelle. Additionally, the bar specializes in classic Italian cocktails.
What a treat! We were passing through Bellingham and were actually walking to a different restaurant for lunch when we spotted Storia Cucina and tried it instead. EXCELLENT DECISION. We sat at the bar and chatted with the skilled and friendly bartender. The cocktails were top notch. We had two of the best salads we've ever had for lunch along with an appetizer of clams in an amazing broth, all of it accompanied by their excellent bread. We were blown away.

Honestly, pretty mediocre on all fronts. Drinks were standard price but somewhat diluted / sugar heavy. Pasta was rough in texture and wet-drenched in oil. Pizza was quite greasy for its intended style and cheese tasted cheap to me. Really friendly service workers - excellent on that front! For this price I’d expect better quality on the food/drink front.
Arin S — Google review
Seems like a better place for drinks than food. Possibly a bad night in the kitchen because the food was just bad. The food generally lacked any flavor. It looked very nice. The atmosphere is good. Had the squid ink pasta but gluten free - which they failed to add that it didn’t actually contain squid ink because it was gluten free (and there is only 1 gluten free). It was a watery, bland sauce only saved by the Calabrian chili. The gluten free pasta itself was fine. The basic tomato sauce pasta that my dining companion had lacked flavor and “had a bitter aftertaste”. The Brussels sprouts were the best part and were okay. They do have good gluten free options. The servers were all very kind but seemed new. Little things like checking in, refilling water, etc. could be improved. Otherwise very nice.

Delicious brunch! I had the Gnocchi & Eggs, and my husband had the Eggs in Purgatory—both were excellent. For dessert, I enjoyed an affogato, while my husband had the Chocolate Panna Cotta. Everything was flavorful and beautifully presented.

My S.O. and I had a craving for some Italian food fare and upon my S.O.'s suggestion we decided to come here for an early dinner. The atmosphere lacked character and it just felt bland and basic. The open kitchen is a nice touch but doesn't do enough to make the wait time for service worth it. I wish I could say our service was forgettable but it was so bad I won't forget for some time to come. Our drink order was forgotten about and when it was brought to us the sodas were watered down. The server treated us like we inconvienced them by being there. Only ever checked on us when we had clearly finished our meal. Our appetizers were good. Their take on roasted brussel sprouts are in our top 3 and their fried rice balls had a delicious sauce with it. The pasta dishes we ordered tasted fresh and left me feeling light. Rather than walking away feeling disgusting and bloated. The food was good, server was trash, and the atmosphere was uninspiring. I'll come back for the food which I suppose is the main point but we're in no rush to go back.

The food was amazing. The star of the show was the pizza, it was truly the best pizza I’ve ever had. I will definitely be returning.
Elizabeth M — Google review
"Claw, you're welcome." - Date Night (2010) Food Quality was poor for the entrees but decent for the appetizers: Pasta was all stuck together. The salt in one dish overpowered everything else. The garlic in another dish (squid ink pasta) did the same. The bread was great! The crispy Brussels sprouts were not crispy but somehow burned and soggy. The service was worse than the food (see movie quote above). Took 10 mins for anyone to come by after we were seated. Later, the server actually came around to each of his tables and encouraged them to close out because he was leaving for the night. Naturally, no one came by to check on us afterwards, so they missed out on dessert and drink sales. Ironically, I guess the managers made him stay till his tables were done because he was still there 30 mins later. This place is definitely resting on its laurels of past success. This was our second and probably last time to try them. Consider other options for a semi fancy date or dinner.

Excellent location. A great way to start off a beautiful evening. Halibut was very good but it's the the seafood chowder gets rave reviews from me. One of the best I've had. The scallops were also very good. I'd definitely go back if I were in the area!

Delicious Food The crab cakes were outstanding, with a wonderful bell pepper flavor running through them. The exterior was perfectly crisp, while the inside stayed firm and moist without being mushy. The mussels arrived in a mildly spicy broth that made them especially enjoyable. The portion was generous—about 12 to 13 mussels—and they were served with crisp toast points, perfect for soaking up the flavorful liquid. The Keenan Burger was a standout. Juicy, thick, and cooked to perfection. The tomato chutney added a bright, tangy-sweet pop that elevated the whole burger, and the quality of the bun held everything together beautifully. The falafel was another hit: crisped perfectly on the outside and full of flavor inside. Paired with the creamy hummus and tangy feta, it made a wonderfully balanced bite. The peri peri chicken skewers were equally delicious. A slight char on the outside added a smoky edge, while the chicken itself stayed juicy and flavorful throughout. Finally, the almond polenta cake was superb—a subtle sweetness with a unique, delightful texture. Topped with creamy, smooth ice cream, it made the perfect ending to the meal. On top of the incredible food, the service was excellent—the waitstaff were friendly, attentive, and very accommodating, making sure everything was just right. And to top it all off, the stunning view of the water and the fresh outdoor air made the entire experience even more incredible—delicious food paired with a breathtaking setting.

We picked this restaurant because we were staying in the hotel and didn’t want to drive. Next time, we will pick Keenan’s at the Pier because it is over the top in all aspects. Service: From the moment we asked for a table, the service was terrific! The waitress gave us a great table with a wonderful view. Through the whole meal, she never let up. She served with energy, enthusiasm, and skill! Atmosphere: overlooking the boardwalk at sunset time, how could it get better than that? We enjoyed the passing train for added entertainment. It’s a magic location. Food: Our group of four covered the menu well. Mussels, prawns, Mahi Mahi, scallops, and specialty pasta. All were perfectly prepared and presented beautifully! When you go to Keenan’s, by all means, chow down. But be sure you save room for dessert. The crème brûlée was awesome!

Came here with some extended family while we were visiting in town. We enjoyed the corn chowder soup. We really enjoyed the truffle fries. In fact, we would recommend the truffle fries if that’s your sort of thing. The server was very friendly and helpful. She was able to help us navigate through some of the items on the menu. We ended up deciding to have some dessert. I really enjoyed the crème brûlée. We also enjoyed the no flower chocolate cake. This is a great place to get quality food and enjoy the view of the water. We will probably come back during one of our next visits in town. Hope you get a chance to enjoy.

An absolutely GORGEOUS view and some good gluten free options in Bellingham. Everything on the menu was labeled and they notified the kitchen it was Celiac! They even have a gluten free bread for dipping! Our server Mia was very friendly, helpful, and great about checking in and double checking gluten free for us. If you can get a reservation on the patio, would highly recommend! A very cool little pier walk right outside as well. The crab cakes are gluten free! The appetizers were SO delicious looking that we ordered a time and two of us split the salmon.

We’ve walked the boardwalk many times and always looked up at this restaurant, so we finally decided to stop in for lunch—and we’re so glad we did. We arrived around 4 p.m. on a Saturday, which turned out to be perfect timing for happy hour. Luckily, there was one patio table left, and later we even got to move to a table right alongside the water. We ordered the calamari, a side Caesar salad, crab cakes, and the risotto. The calamari was perfectly crunchy and flavorful, the risotto had a wonderful wine note, and the crab cakes were so delicious they didn’t need any sauce at all. The only downside was that the Caesar salad felt a bit pricey for the portion size, but it was still tasty. Service was excellent—our server was attentive, friendly, and on point throughout the meal. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience with a beautiful view, great food, and warm service. We would definitely recommend Keenan’s to anyone visiting the boardwalk.

You can’t beat the view found at this restaurant. Service was average. I really enjoyed the seafood chowder, the scallop linguine had a little too much lemon in it, and there was a small strand of hair found in the South African lamb stew. I plan on returning here to try different menu items.

11/10 seriously top tier!!! The food is absolutely amazing. $15 for a flight is fantastic and every single one was delicious. The pork belly is an absolute must have. Everything was unbelievably crisp and fresh. Honestly, the best restaurant I’ve been to in Bellingham. The cider is the perfect amount of fizz.

Immaculate vibes… but the cider just did not do it for me. I tried 5 on a flight - most tasted overwhelmingly dry, almost tart at times. I wondered if something had gone bad in both the smell and taste of the barrel aged cider. I probably don’t know enough about ciders, but honestly the cocktail was a much higher standard than what they had on tap. Great service and nice outdoor seating. Wish the ciders had delivered though!

Second visit as fabulous as the first! Menu changes, but there are some regular items. Recommend reservations for dinner. Lovely outdoor deck option with view of small park and Puget Sound. On this visit, we enjoyed cocktails: Bitter Cherry (A Manhattan with smoke) and Tie One On (Mai Tai-esque). Starters were: Kale Caesar, Spring Snap Pea Salad, Clam Chowder, and Pork Belly. Our mains were: Rigatoni (Veggie) and the Pork Chop. YUM!!! (Note: Photos from both visits.)

Welcoming and friendly staff. Explained about the cider choices and when I had questions between two of the ciders he explained the differences and then just brought me samples to try. A sublime spot that deserves all of its stars! Fantastic lighting and a warm, welcoming vibe. The espressos were second to none too! We tried both the single origin as well as the blend. We let out an audible “yum” and “wow” as we sipped each. Don’t miss Camber if you’re in Bellingham!

We have been on a cold brew kick recently and this hit the spot. Not only do they have a good cold brew base but they have 3 or 4 variations with different flavored cold foam on top. We went with the vanilla cold foam but there was also a pumpkin cold foam that we will probably try for next time. With this I actually think it would be a good idea to do a cold brew flight so hopefully they give that a shot some time. The staff was super friendly and pretty quick for how long the line got. They were quick with recommendations too. The atmosphere was great with lots of natural lighting near the front with a myriad of seating options that work well for any size group. Overall if we end up living in Bellingham I could see this being our go to coffee place.

Wow. The autumnal spice latte was superb! Rich but airy, sweet, and delicate all at the same time. I've found some really good places for coffee around town but this place is easily the best in town if you ask me. I recently moved here from Portland and I didn't realize how spoiled I was there with such a top notch coffee scene. The quality of this latte made me feel like I was right back in my favorite shop in Portland. I can't wait to come back! Also the cinnamon roll scone was amazing and such a great pairing.

Whenever I find a coffee place my wife really likes, it’s an extra special win! Camber coffee ended up being one of those places. Now my wife is not that complicated (I’m picky one). She like a soy milk vanilla latte, often times iced and at times hot. That being said, sooo many places serve burnt tasting coffee and that sucks, cuz coffee drinks have never been pricier. We got lucky and caught this coffee shop just before closing, in fact we were the last customers. My wife loved her drink and my drink was weird…no-UNIQUE and fantastic. I ordered a yuzu espresso martini (no alcohol) and was stunned by how much I enjoyed it. I also order a straight double shot and for this pickier folks out there like me, this options always separate the decent coffee stop from a genuine gem. All our drinks were superior tasting in my our humble opinion. This place is a template for the quality I hope one days is the standard. Enjoy!

We stopped here for breakfast and the place is very cute. The ambiance is modern and welcoming, and the service was delightful. On top of that, the coffee is amazing. With that said, the food left a bit to be desired. It is definitely fresh and well portioned, and I could tell that they're leaning into healthy eating, but the food is a bit on the bland side and just sort of unbalanced. We'd definitely come back for the drinks, but have had better breakfast in Bellingham.

Anthonys Hearthfire Grill in Bellingham is a popular Pacific Northwest seafood and steak chain with a down-to-earth vibe. Overlooking Squalicum harbor, it offers a great surf and turf menu as well as a budget-friendly happy hour. The restaurant provides stunning ambiance for date nights with excellent service.
Our recent lunch at Anthony's Hearthfire Grill in Bellingham was an exceptional experience that combined delectable cuisine, attentive service, and a picturesque setting overlooking the marina. We enjoyed the Mango Shrimp Salad, a vibrant assembly of bay shrimp, diced mango, avocado, tomato, crumbled blue cheese, bacon, and crispy wontons, in a delicious Asian-inspired ginger dressing. Each ingredient was fresh and flavorful, creating a harmonious blend of textures and tastes. I opted for the Classic Caesar Salad with Rotisserie Chicken and requested the addition of toasted hazelnuts—a customization inspired by another salad on their menu. The result was a delightful twist on the traditional Caesar, with the hazelnuts adding a pleasant crunch that complemented the tender, flavorful chicken. The service was impeccable; our server was both friendly and attentive, ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. The restaurant's location offers stunning views of the marina, and we were fortunate to dine during a sunny break in the rain, which enhanced the already lovely ambiance.

Great views of the waterfront, and friendly staff. The food felt a bit tired, as if the menu hadn't been updated in a while. I know this place is a chain but I'd expect a little bit more liveliness for the prices.

Three of us came at 5:00 on a Saturday afternoon, and it’s a good thing we got there early! This is a very popular place and shortly after we arrived, it was completely full. The dramatic entryway, with its fire-topped fountain, sets the stage, and you enter by the area where meat is being turned on a spit over the flames. The view over the Bay is spectacular, particularly at sunset, and virtually every diner can see the water. Service was prompt, professional, and friendly. The list of wines and beers on tap offered us drinks we enjoyed. The food was outstanding! I ordered the flank steak with chipotle lime butter — cooked exactly as I requested — and the complement of cranberry jalapeño lime relish with it was exquisite. The cornbread pudding was also delicious! The dessert menu was tempting, but we had other plans. This was an altogether outstanding meal and lovely experience, and I’ll be back next time I’m in this part of the world.

This was a fantastic experience. We stopped here for dinner on our way back home to Vancouver (Canada). The last 2 weeks had been very trying (my mother had passed away & we flew into Seattle from Minneapolis & stayed at a terrible hotel). Friends from Vancouver recommended this place. The drive from the highway gave us a good drive through downtown Bellingham that showed us a great glimpse of the city. The restaurant is nestled in an interesting part of town. The ambiance is soothing, the service impeccable, the food delectable & the view breath-taking. We both had one of the pre-set menu options (one for $33 and one for $36. From the $36 options, I had the Coho salmon & risotto, with a Greek salad to start - it seems that it comes with bacon on it automatically with no mention of it on the menu. I'm a pescatarian, so I had to send I back. It was great without it. There are no big, hard to stab, croutons, but there was definitely a crunchy wafer or something in there, which I really prefer. For dessert I had something call the Jar Pie. Mine was a chocolate w/Bailey's something with a chocolate cookie crust. VERY DELICIOUS but not too big. My husband had Portobello mushroom medley with other veg & whipped potatoes. The sauce on the side was some sort of soy sauce. He is watching his sodium intake, so they were kind enough to give him the option to use as little as he wanted. For his appetizer he had a different take on shrimp cocktail that was mini shrimp with cocktail sauce on top & then celery below. Sorry, no photos of the salad or shrimp cocktail. For dessert, he had a Pumpkin Spice & Pecan Jar Pie. We swapped bites on the main & dessert & everything was scrumptious!

We had a great time here. The food was so fresh and delicious! The views are amazing and the overall restaurant has a nice vibe.

Dinner was very nice. I had the filet which I requested cooked medium as often restaurants will slightly under cook but this was cooked exactly medium. As a single diner, service is often not the best, and here was no exception. No refill of my empty water or coffee (coffee, I was offered a refill well after my cup was empty and I was ready to leave). My steak arrived before I had a chance to order wine. The view is unparalleled. I highly recommend getting here for dinner a bit before sunset to see it while you're enjoying dinner. Overall 3.5 stars. Dinner, including a cocktail and wine plus dessert and coffee was well over $100. Service should be better.

My wife and I treated ourselves today with a very nice lunch out. Fabulous view, great friendly service, super food. My wife had a mango shrimp salad with lots goods in it. I had the steelhead salad lots of goodies in it too. Couple glasses of wine tied it all together. We always return for that nice treat.

We have been to the seafood restaurant, so we knew what to expect as far as service and food, and the food did not disappoint, the service was not what we were used to see in the bother restaurant, but wasn't terrible. We had 2 different steak dishes, and they were great; we also got their Anthony's version of the creme brulee and it was at to the point. Now the service, for a Saturday night, it was not a busy night; but still she forgot to bring an extra beer my husband had ordered. Also, she didn't know the type of beverages, and when I mention this, I don't ask for someone to be a pro, but you should be able to guide people on what you have. If you are serving local beers and wines, you should be prepare for people to ask you to recommend a drink based on a more known "brand" and she was not able to do that. Aside from that, when you go to any Anthony's, you know that the service is great, because they strike for that, but she didn't seems to care about none of her tables, she would go MIA for long periods of time. As for the location, the restaurant is right next to the bay, so you will see the boats coming in and out, and if you have a clearly day and timely right, you will be able to have a great sunset right from your table despite where you are sitting since they have a big window. I would definitely be back, despite the service little issues, that didn't took away from the great place this restaurant is.

My first time! The service was great. They were friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was very comfortable and was pleasant to sit and talk. The food was good but that would be expected. The best thing was there were no disappointments. Real tableware!

The place is beautiful, and the atmosphere feels like I'm in England. I ordered what I would boldly say is the best chicken sandwich I have ever ordered. The batter was simply chefs kiss crispy, golden, and well seasoned. It had a bit of a spicy kick but not enough to hurt just enough to feel alive. I loved the flavor and wish I had seconds. I thought it was a bit pricey at first but when I took my first bite I have never changed my mind so fast. It was the best moment and money I ever spent.

Loved it! Skylark’s has such a beautiful, classy pub-like feel with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were all very friendly, and the food was excellent — generous portions and great flavor. We took our son who goes to Western and his teen brother, and everyone left full and happy. Highly recommend!

It just hit me that I never gave these guys the review they 100% deserve. I’m in here all the time — I even drive clear across town just to come here. The food is always exactly how I like it, the place is clean, chill, and has a good vibe, but the real reason I keep coming back is the crew. Cheyenne and the team seriously run the show. She’s everywhere at once — greeting tables, checking in, making sure everyone’s taken care of. She doesn’t stop moving, and it shows. That kind of energy sets the tone for the whole place. Every visit’s solid — good food, good people, and top-tier service every single time. Much respect to the whole crew for keeping it consistent and making this spot feel like a go-to.

I've been going here occasionally since moving to the area 5 years ago and it's one of my favorites. I love the atmosphere--the walk through their alley is super charming. The food is always great and priced well. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This place is a "hidden" gem.

The Aslan Depot, located in a historic urban railway depot, provides a more intimate setting with oversized couches and comfy chairs.
I stopped in while I was on vacation. The beer was good, but didn’t blow me away. Then the Cuban came out. If a Cuban is on a menu I will always order it. Wow! It was the best Cuban I’ve ever had. If I ever find myself back in Washington, I will make sure I come back for a Cuban.

they were sooo crazy busy tonight with an oprah event going on downtown it was extra busy. so understandably, the food took a little longer. they were so apologetic and communicative and even took 30% off our bill, on them. awesome customer service. all the employees were so sweet. and of course, the food was phenomenal. my friend is vegetarian and picky and has found her favorite vegetarian dishes in bellingham at Aslan which says a lot. will forever keep recommending this place to people cause it truly is so good and the employees are always so nice

Wedding Anniversary dinner- It was busy which means the places is a good place in my book. The young lady right when we got there told us it was a 15min-25-min it she said we can sit in the bar right away. So we sat at the bar which the young lady/bartender was amazing!!! We was so sweet and you can’t tell she knew what she was doing. She recommend every good food and beer she made my food even better recommending adding things. Drinks/food was 10/10 and serve was amazing!!!

This place was amazing! The food was good and the service was as expected. Starting with the food, we got the PNW Grilled Cheese with a side of tomato soup, the Luna Fries, and Strawberry Lemonade. The only thing I have to say wasn’t up to par with the grilled cheese and tomato soup was the lack flavor in the soup. It tasted like spices weren’t used. The grilled cheese was delicious!! The Luna fries were very good but would prefer regular fries with seasoning vs the waffle fries. It was too hard to eat with the toppings on the waffle fries. Also, you leave a lot of the topping once the fries are gone. The service was great but it was busy. The server only came over to our table 2 times within the hour and a half we were there, as stated before; it was busy so it’s as expected. Overall great place and well rounded.

Aslan has always been one of my favorite places in Bellingham, ever since I went while attending WWU. It was a treat to visit Aslan over the weekend as they opened a location in Fremont but it's not the same as their menu is quite limited compared to the foods this kitchen has to offer. The staff is also incredibly friendly and outgoing! This time around, we ordered the fried mac n cheese appetizer, the Hawaiian bowl with pork belly, the PNW grilled cheese, luna fries, a beer flight, and the strawberry lemonade cocktail. The food was delicious and enough for two people, plus leftovers. I highly recommend Aslan, and will stop by every time I'm in bham.

Bayou On Bay is a spacious 2-story Cajun restaurant located in the heart of downtown Bellingham. It offers indoor and outdoor seating, making it perfect for enjoying the summer light and people-watching.
There should be more southern food restaurants. For southern food has its unique taste. That other restaurants do not have, so with that said. The Bayou on the bay get full 5 star review from me, for the food was absolutely delicious. An 2nd there's not many restaurants in Washington state that serves catfish if at all. For catfish isn't the local seafood of the pacific northwest, yet it still tastes good.

New owners! TERRIBLE MENU and TERRIBLE FOOD. Greasy, COLD & burnt describes my families dinner. We were so disappointed coming all the way from Seattle. Not even a piece of cornbread to be found! Driest grits ever. UPDATE: Not sure why the owner would respond back to give him a call! The man running the show around there was very rude. After hearing our concerns about the new menu it was obvious that there was no care put into our meals. My seafood boil came out cold and tasted like dirty seafood. Grits looked like mashed potatoes and $18 catfish was drenched in grease.

Very impressed by service and food under tje new ownership. Catfish hash was delicious, full of various textures and flavors. I wasn't even going to try the beignets, but my boyfriend had never had them before. I had some famous ones in New Orleans and wasn't impressed...but THESE, these beignets and the magical sauces I would totally come back for. Maybe as soon as tomorrow, lol. We can't wait to go back and try all the other things on the menu and the cocktails...its worth a visit to decide for yourself, as the reviews here are mixed. The new owners and staff are amazing in my opinion, we had wonderful, friendly, speedy and pleasant service during Sunday brunch.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and friendly gentleman who set the tone for the entire experience. The wait staff was outstanding—professional, attentive, and genuinely impressive. The menu looked incredible, and the food absolutely delivered. What really stood out was when the chef personally came around to several tables to ask how everything was. That extra touch of hospitality was awesome and made the evening feel special. The dishes were fantastic—the cornbread was perfectly done, the jambalaya was full of flavor, and the gator balls were out of this world. Every bite tasted authentic and freshly prepared. Overall, the service was impeccable, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was welcoming. It’s such a treat to have a Cajun restaurant serving up true Southern classics here. I would 100% recommend Bayou and will definitely be coming back!

Our new fav date night spot! The food is amazing (so flavorful), the service is top tier, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I’ve been going to Bayou for well over 10 years and the new owner surpassed my expectations. We will continue supporting this amazing restaurant.

This was my wife and I’s favorite restaurant. My family and I ordered the gumbo, the catfish, the ceaser salad and the fried chicken po boy. The service was ok, but the “new” bayou” no longer has house pickle brinded fried chicken. They no longer have their cajun ranch. The salad was akin to a horrible slimey bagged salad, and the fried chicken po boy was high school lunch quality microwaved chicken nuggets on a massively large bun. The Gumbo lacked any tasteful flavor, and the the catfish reeked of river mud. The mac and cheese was decent, but lacked the flavor depth of the original. Crab lended an “ok” addition, but the overall experience was tremendously underwhelming, and lacked all the elements that made the original restaurant a bellingham favorite. I will never return. The new owners have used the name, but gutted the essence of what made this fine establishment. I give it 2 years tops, or whatever the business loan will allow losses wise until it goes under.

The Black Cat is a spacious and elegant tavern located on the third floor of a historic 1890s brick building in Bellingham's Fairhaven district. The atmosphere is remarkable, with high ceilings and comfortable, dark elegance. The menu offers a variety of seafood dishes, classic bistro options like burgers and steak, as well as favorites such as fondue and French onion soup.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Fairhaven. I've tried quite a few of their menu items in the last couple of years and all have been something to brag about. I particularly love their crab mac and cheese which is the ultimate in comfort food. The atmosphere and decor are inviting and relaxing and the service is top notch. I consider it a good value for the money and a great place for special occasions or just a great lunch.

This is one of the coolest places I have eaten. Set in an old building with the most beautiful mill work. Truly spectacular. Then the food was very yummy as well. Try the Hippie Salad but add grilled prawns. The grilled cheese was also amazing with toasted cheese on the outside and tomato soup that I believe had parmesaian stilled in. Really really good. Fun place to visit if your in the Bellingham area. Worth the drive even if your not!

We were in fairhaven and this place was suggested all over the public forums. It is situated on the 3rd floor of a very beautiful building. There was a wait for 30 mins on a Tuesday evening. We ordered the special blueberry mock-tail, cat lemonade, caesar salad with chicken, a side of baguette and po boy sandwich with shrimp. The caesar salad was fresh and crunchy. The po boy was delicious - the shrimp was fantastically seasoned. Both the drinks were amazing as well. The staff were cheerful and quick. We were well taken care of. Though we were a little disappointed with baguette served cold - made it difficult to spread butter on it. Overall, I’d recommend it if you’re in town.

The GNW and Bellingham WA is surely not disappointing as finding local food find is so amazing. This restaurant is on the 3rd floor of a very old building and some of the windows are the turn of the century lead glass windows. The wait time for food was nearly an hour. We had little neck claims and little spicer than I would like. The wine list is lack luster. There is a great bar and big TV. Definitely want to come back and check out the dinner menu.

Good fresh food and great historical building atmosphere. Window seats have views of dt and water. We had the fish and chips, bowl of chowder and a fried chicken and bacon sandwich. All tasty and hot made to order. They have a spicy house ranch that we enjoyed. Located in the third floor. Building does have elevators. Shared bathrooms for the floor.

We went to the Black Cat for happy hour during our first visit to Bellingham. I'm glad we made a reservation because this place is popular, and with good reason. The food and drinks were delicious (yummy angus burger on the HH menu!), the service excellent (thanks, Brandon!), and we loved the vibe of the historic building and large windows. The angus burger is all we ended up getting from the HH menu, and it was 10/10 on a gorgeous brioche bun with. We also had french fries and the flourless chocolate cake from the regular menu. The fries were 9/10 (could have been a bit fresher/hotter but still pretty crispy and delicious). While the flourless chocolate cake was yummy we both found it a bit dense and had expected it to be lighter. Still had no problems cleaning the plate, though! Instead of the HH $1 off wine and we'll drinks we ordered from the cocktail menu and both loved our choices. Hubby had the Cat Scratch Lemonade and I the Campbell's Anthem, both still reasonably priced though not on HH. (We're used to Seattle prices.) Recommended without hesitation!

Old World Deli, established in 2007, is a charming European-style delicatessen located in downtown Bellingham. It offers an impressive selection of meats and cheeses from the west coast and Europe, along with pantry staples like olive oils, spices, and pasta. The deli also serves a variety of sandwiches, soups, and salads for dine-in or takeaway.
Have had two amazing sandwiches there. The pastrami is to die for. The potato salad was great and clearly made there. People who work there are food craftspeople. Love it. The selection of hard to find and exotic food stuffs, condiments and libations is worth a mention as well. Rare potables. Tinned fish. The best balsamic syrup. A must stop in Bellingham.

A good place to come for a bite for lunch; I do this often cause it’s close to work… Today, I had the grilled cheese and it was good, but not great I usually get the Mediterranean Tuna which is really good; only thing I don’t like, and that’s just me, is that it has olive pesto

The cutest little deli! Big sandwich menu, loads of fun drinks and huge selection of cute little sauces/pantry items. My proscuitto sandwich was good, but the meat was cut thick so each first bite I pulled out a majority of the meat. Flavor wise was good, but the Torres black truffle chips were AMAZING. Also the Bear and Beaver cream soda - the best cream soda I’ve ever had.

Just steps from the YMCA, this outstanding Deli was my go-to lunch spot for after my workout. The location is perfect, the atmosphere is very inviting, all that brick, the wood floors, the high ceilings, the lively conversations with the many locals gathering here, and the food, well...they have all those awards for a reason! Absolutely incredible flavors, and the freshness of all their products is amazing. I had the Mediterranean Tuna with a tasty and crisp pickle! And a freshly baked cookie... Plenty of wonderful wines from around the globe, and the variety of so many deli meats and cheeses is overwhelming. Delicious food for sure! Highly recommend!!

Amazing sandwich, great brisket in the pastrami and it was pretty stuffed, the hot mustard lived up to its name, a simple sandwich but the flavors really came through. The mushroom soup was also worth the hype, quite creamy and flavorful with lots of mushrooms. My son Logan loved his sandwich while watching a movie on his phone.

Surprisingly, it took me years to finally come here but holy cow, this place is awesome. The Hungarian soup is amazing and any one of their paninis is fantastic. My favorite sandwich is the Reuben. Great service, nice atmosphere and delicious food! I got the Chef’s favorite “Spicy Fili” which is a longanisa (think Filipino chorizo for those unfamiliar with this) fried rice topped with egg, and it was a FLAVOR BOMB! My partner got the bacon nation and said his was solid too. Love that they source locally. Their desserts looked great, but we were too full and happy with our entrees. I’d love to come back and try the adobo Benedict!

Unfortunately on a return visit, I need to dock 2 stars from my original review (really this visit was more of a 2-star). Our burritos were missing the potatoes, the beans were undercooked, the poached eggs were hard as a rock. Really disappointing quality control in the food. Absolutely amazing place to grab brunch. While the outside looks fairly basic, you walk in to a well decorated hipster feel with a very welcoming and homey feel. Went with the adobo (pork) burrito and was extremely pleased. Massive portion and the roasted pepper sauce went well with the green salsa perfectly. Stomach is very happy after that breakfast. See you again soon!

A place with limited options so you know what they do is good. I’m not even a mushroom fan but their mushroom eggs Benedict was divine. They have an amazing selection of mimosas. With a mimosa flight as an option, why not try all of them? I’ve never had a burger here, But I need to. They look delicious, and with how good their brunch and mimosas are, they have to be delicious!
Jessica G — Google review
This place has raised the "bar" for hamburger excellence. The meat was perfectly cooked (never had a better cooked burger) and the size of the burger allowed for a union of flavors to be experienced at the same time. Sometimes the meat is too thin and over cooked and then it's hard to taste the meat nor notice a difference in how it's cooked. Sometimes there'll be too much meat. Then you don't taste the other flavors that the chef, if they've really thought it through, are wanting you to experience. I tasted 2 different burgers on the menu and found them to be very different than each other and both full of flavor. One of the burgers was sporting about a 1/4 thick heirloom tomato. You know the kind that actually have flavor and wow what a flavor. The only complaint and this is truly nitpicking, though we're talking burgers here (one of the few things I take seriously), was the bun didn't offer much to the burger. I prefer a Brioche or if you're as serious as I am about burgers go down to Mancos CO to the "Absolute Bakery and Care" where they have a fantastic Ciabati bun they make themselves, though I don't usually like Ciabati. All that said, no one cooks their meat with that much care (and blueberry jam with blue cheese, Bacon and Arugula, who would'a thought it was as good as it was). Lastly the french fries where in a class of their own - though important to round out a good burger. And lastly, and just as important as the food, the waitress was world class. If you're within 50 miles of this place, it's worth the detour. #A Knight of the Holy Broil.

Pho 99 is a beloved Vietnamese restaurant in Bellingham, known for its dedication to serving authentic Vietnamese dishes such as vermicelli bowls and noodle soup. Despite the absence of a website or social media presence, this casual spot attracts patrons with its simple yet friendly atmosphere and excellent service. The menu features popular appetizers like shrimp spring rolls and fried pork egg rolls.
The broth is rich and smooth, and the lemongrass chicken and prawn rice was "yummy," according to my 2 year old. Well priced for portion sizes. The service was outstanding, with the waitresses and waiter being very consistent and respectful the entire time. I wouldn't suggest eating here for picky eater kids, but for kids who love to explore flavors, this place is very kid friendly and accomadating.

My best friend and I had dinner sat. night and it was one of the better bowls of pho I've had fs. We were seated quickly, served super quick (but not rushed), and they were super nice. Really great service, really great food. ☺️👍 Will definitely come back!

The best pho in Bellingham! Always consistently good and food usually comes really quick. #9 and #22 are by far my favorites. It can get kinda busy on a Friday around dinner time, but totally worth the wait.

Vietnamese restaurant
Restaurant
Soy House is a Vietnamese restaurant located near Bellingham's waterfront, making it a convenient choice for those exploring downtown. The restaurant offers a wide variety of classic Vietnamese dishes such as stir fry, soups, and pho. In addition to Vietnamese cuisine, Soy House also serves pizza. Customers have praised the great service and pleasant atmosphere at the restaurant. The owner is known for being hands-on and attentive to customers' needs.
Delicious big portions of pho. Me and my home girl went here and it was busy, but worth it. The little Asian woman running around is a rockstar. Bbq pork bun is fire. I got the shrimp pho and my bestie got the oxtail. It was all so good. Can’t recommend enough.

Seated in under ten minutes, I was impressed by how attentive and hospitable the staff were right off the bat. I ordered the phở đặc biệt to benchmark it against my usual spots—the broth was fresh, fragrant with classic spices, and genuinely tasty. The portion felt a bit on the small side, but overall it was a solid meal. I’m looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu next time.

We dine here a lot and always have had good experience, and the food Quality has always been good. tonight I picked up a takeout order of a beef and the seafood with veggie broth. The veggie broth was extremely salty, tasted like salt water. I paid $23 for the seafood pho to pour it down the drain. I called the restaurant to get them feedback, thinking that they would like to know. I was not requesting my money back, however expected them to offer some sort of discount the next time we came in. The girl on the phone said that because you’re not here Management cannot confirm that it’s salty or not. Why would I call if the broth was not salty? We are extremely disappointed and will never go back. This “was” my fav pho restaurant, but not I will not be coming back. Restaurants are struggling right now, so you would think that they would be concerned about customer service. Note to management: Please consider offering a small discount if someone has a bad experience. A simple discount would have been great. Your restaurant is a local fav, however if you treat your customers like this.. they will go elsewhere.

The Soy House is one of the first restaurants I went to in Bellingham and my kids and I have loved it ever since. Their pho is delicious and perfect for our cold dark winters, but their stir fry, Bun, and fried prawns are absolutely delicious as well. We went there early yesterday before the Shoestring Circus and had an absolutely wonderful meal. I had the Bun with chicken, my daughter’s boyfriend had the Bun with shrimp, my kids had pork chow mein and chicken fried rice. Everyone loved their meal. Soy house is a staple for our family!

Great place for some good Vietnamese food, I really enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee as they brewed it right in front of you so it’s super fresh and delicious

Very expensive. The food itself was good but, the service was mediocre at best. To make matters worse, we got ticketed for parking in their customer parking. When we spoke to an employee about it, he quickly accused us of parking and walking to another business. After our waitress vouched for us, they said they would void the ticket. I asked for a receipt of the void. He proceeded to ask why I needed proof and that I didn’t trust him. He said, “it shouldn’t be such a big deal because it was a $5 ticket.” In reality, it was a $55 ticket that was going to become a $100 ticket if it wasn’t paid in 5 days. It was very unpleasant for a business to be so dismissive, rude and unprofessional. I will not be going back.

I've wish I had taken a picture. The place was packed when we arrived, but our orders arrived minutes after we ordered. My datehad the chicken pho and I had the combo with beef steak, brisket, and sausage. Both were excellent, the broths with very different flavor profiles, but both rich, light, a little bit of tang in the background, great umami. There was plenty of goodies in mine to last through the whole bowl.

Elizabeth Station is a versatile destination in Northern Washington, offering a unique combination of a beer market, cereal bar, and deli. With 20 rotating taps, it boasts a wide selection of premium beers and ciders. The Burrata Boi pizza is a standout item on their menu, featuring locally sourced ingredients that change based on the freshest produce available at the time. Additionally, this establishment serves as a bottle shop and tap room with an extensive variety of beer, wine, and ciders.
Great bottle shop with huge selection of beers, ciders, and wine. Plenty of covered outdoor seating.

First time visiting this place. Almost would say it a hidden gem. It's kind of out of the way of moat conventional eatery or brew pub areas. Was pleasantly surprised at the large selection of beer not just in their enormously large coolers but also on tap as well. They also have pizzas on-site that are extremely tasty. If you have not tried it out yet, you should.
Craig W — Google review
Elizabeth Station is a true neighborhood treasure. Their beer selection is next-level—ranging from amazing local craft options to rare and niche finds like Orval and Fonteinen. Whether you’re into IPAs, saisons, sours, or classic Belgian ales, they’ve got something exciting for every kind of beer lover. Brandon is the best beer tender in town—his palate is absolutely dialed. He’s always ready with thoughtful recommendations, whether you’re looking for a familiar favorite or something totally new. You can tell he lives and breathes beer, and it makes the whole experience even better. The natural wine selection is hands-down the best in the area. Thoughtfully curated, funky, fresh, and full of personality—there’s always something cool to discover. And the artisan pizza? Incredible. Perfectly crisp crust, quality toppings, and combinations that are both creative and comforting. Add in the genuinely kind and welcoming staff, and you’ve got one of the best community spots around. Elizabeth Station is more than a place to drink and eat—it’s where people come together. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place. The great staff seem to always bring the right vibe even when the place is slammed. The beer selection is outrageously amazing, cans, bottles, tap, there’s even a dedicated cider room. Plus there’s a beer cave. They pizzas are amazing, crisp and delicious. It’s a great hang out place. I love visiting here.

Great slice of pizza, absolutely one of the best in Bellingham. Undercarriage is ok not much char on this one but no flop, great crunch that does falloff a bit towards the center. Sauce is seasoned well, fontina cheese really adds something and the pecorino is just enough where you can taste it but it's not overpowering. Really good pizza being done right and it’s great when you can call it in ahead for takeout.

Elizabeth Station is a must try if you love amazing gourmet pizza and a wonderful selection of beers on tap! I've always loved the pizza we selected, as well as the IPA. They also have a Huge selection of unique craft beers from all over the country. It's a great place for date night, or hanging out with friends. Very chill and fun vibe!

If you enjoy the process of looking for unique and unusual beers at your favorite store, then this is the place to come! They have all the typical ones you know about, and many others from around the world as well. You can also find lots of brews from boutique breweries around the nation. They have an amazing selection of beers and ciders on tap, and they have a great sitting area both inside and out. I love going into their beer cave to see what new selections they have. Stop by and you will not be disappointed. Oh, and they have a large selection of wine as well, and a nice seating area that almost looks like a cigar room.

Korean barbecue restaurant
YunGaNe Korean Restaurant in Bellingham is renowned for its delicious pairing of fried chicken and beer, a beloved tradition in Korea. The menu features classic dishes like Bibimbap, Bulgogi Pork Kimbap, and Chicken Katsu Sandwich, alongside local favorites. Despite initial anxiety, the welcoming ambiance immediately put patrons at ease. The restaurant offers a peaceful retreat with great food and an opportunity for quiet introspection.
We had a lovely birthday dinner at YunGaNe Korean restaurant. We shared the jalapeno poppers, mixed sondubu, and beef bimbimbap, as well as a tasty sake cocktail. The flavors were outstanding! We loved the amount of heat in the dishes and the variety of textures. One of the best restaurants in Bellingham, with a relaxing and cozy atmosphere - we will definitely be back.

An awesome little hole-in-the-wall place and very authentic. We got the bibimbap in the sizzling stone bowl with sides of kimchi, cucumbers, fish cakes, etc. The food was amazing—some of the best food I’ve had in Bellingham, period. And the service was great. Highly recommend checking it out, they should be more popular than they are.

Pretty much my first introduction to Korean food, I had the bulgogi beef bibimbap bowl, and it did not disappoint! Plenty of food, I ended taking half home (and it made for amazing leftovers, ofc). It’s a really sweet and charmingly decorated little space, the owner seems pretty cool. Will definitely return!!

We don’t live in Bellingham but stayed again at the Leo Hotel, next door to YunGaNe Restaurant. We returned last night, looking forward to a repeat of last year’s great experience. We ordered Soondubu Seafood with Vegetables and Stonepot Bulgogi Bibimbap with Beef. The Bibimbap was delicious. But the Soondubu had far too much chilli: it was actually inedible (and normally I really love hot food & hot sauce.) The odd thing? The menu had “fire” 🔥 emojis for the 3 other Soondubu choices, but not the Seafood Soondubu. I chose that one because my girlfriend cannot eat hot and spicy food There was a lot of soft tofu in the dish, but hardly any seafood. We told the waitress something was seriously amiss, but no attempt was made to redo the dish or remove it from the bill. After that, it seemed that we were being hurried out of the restaurant even though we still had half a pitcher of beer and it wasn’t that busy. Last Year’s Review: We came in early, for our first visit. Our server recommended Bulgogi Ribeye Beef and Chicken Bibimbap loaded with perfectly-seasoned, beautifully-flavoured shiitake mushrooms. Dinner came with a quartet of Korean condiments like Kim Chi, on the side.

The service was absolutely unacceptable. We walked in at 615 and got our food at 740. We missed the 725 movie and had to change our tickets. There was one server who was being treated unkindly by the owner. The owner completely ignored us. Super frustrating. The food is great but I will not come back.

Mexican restaurant
Señor Lopez Mexican Restaurant offers genuine, traditional Mexican cuisine that evokes the feeling of a grandmother cooking. This establishment meets all expectations with its crispy tortilla chips, homemade enchiladas, and beautifully charred carne asada. The service is outstanding, the margaritas are delightful, and the tacos al pastor are exceptional. The restaurant truly captures the authentic flavors of Mexico, as confirmed by a fellow patron named Senor Lopez.
YUMMY!! We are so far from home! Louisiana in fact. And let me tell you life on the road and finding good food is hard! The prices seemed kinda high but we aren't from here so we went anyway and found out the portions are massive!! It's a steal of a deal if you can take home your leftovers. I'm a vegetarian and restaurants usually think that means I don't like flavor, totally wrong and this is the absolute biggest flavor bomb burrito I've ever had! Totally gonna try to spoof the savory sauce they put all over this tasty burrito! Rosie the server was so attentive and kept us informed on what she was doing and when our food was coming. Such a sweet lady! The place was decorated nicely and had some fun music playing at an appropriate level. Go now! You won't regret it😊

This is one of me and my Pap’s absolute favorite places to eat at on our way back to Canada. The entire menu is authentic and delicious. This visit we had the Carne Asada lunch special with rice and beans and a side of corn tortillas. Starting with chips and salsa which were really good. Last time we got the Three Amigos Fajitas and if it’s your first time eating here, get this. From the presentation to the taste, it’s my favorite and quite filling. Adrianna is so kind, sweet, and attentive. Always look forward to chatting with her and thanking the hardworking chef on the way out. I always recommend dining in at places like this as that’s how you’re gonna get the best quality and experience. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and has a great view. By far, one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Highly recommend!

Great service by our servers who were stepping up to cover for missing employees. The food portions were large and very tasty. The fajita burrito can definitely be shared by two.

I had the most wonderful experience at this restaurant, largely thanks to two exceptional waitresses Esperanza and Erika. Their service was not just efficient, but delivered with such genuine warmth and kindness. They were incredibly attentive, making sure every need was met with a smile. Their positive energy was infectious, creating a truly delightful atmosphere. It's rare to encounter such dedicated and caring individuals in the service industry. Because of them, my visit was unforgettable. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I hope these two amazing waitresses get the recognition they deserve!

Food was amazing! Very great taste and definitely a good portion and good reasonable price! Although, it definitely was super busy(graduation season), I felt like the food was very well worth waiting for, in my opinion! Shout to Rosie, she provided great customer service, although it was super busy, she work very well under pressure and was very professional and friendly and nice to myself and other customers!! Carne asada fries were bomb with great taste and very fresh! Flan, Fried ice cream, strawberry lemonade, all with great flavors and freshly well made! Shoutout the chef, everything was awesome! Definitely recommend!!

Prices increased, small combo $16 large combo $18. Got tamale, enchilada and taco. Meat wasn’t seasoned but taco was filled to the top with white meat. rather dry due to lack of seasoning and no sauces. Tamal and enchilada was good but not enough sauce so still a bit dry. Not as spicy as other Mexican restaurants so this is a good place if that’s your preference. Great location and clean.

Indulgent desserts like chocolate pot de crème and New York cheesecake are also available.
We spent two lovely happy hour afternoons on the patio here during our stay at the Bellwether, and both were exceptional. Our cocktails were delicious, the food was great, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend the fried mushrooms, meat & cheese plate, and fish & chips. Our server, Carolyn, was especially fantastic. There was large business party on half the patio that kept the staff super busy the second day we were there, but Carolyn made sure to check on us frequently and maintained her professional, courteous demeanor. We will be back next time we're in Bellingham!

We visited Lighthouse Bar & Grill during their transition from brunch to dinner, so they had a light menu available—which was exactly what we were looking for. We ordered the pork belly Caesar salad and the crabcakes, which were perfect for the two of us. The full-size Caesar salad was only a dollar more at that time and was a huge portion. The pork belly was delicious, and the crabcakes were absolutely divine. Since we arrived during the changeover, we were seated right away. The service was excellent, and the bartender was very accommodating, even swapping out one of the alcohols in a drink for us. I tried the Gunpowder cocktail, which was unique and interesting. Our food came out quickly, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. The setting was another highlight—stunning views, beautiful weather, and a well-kept, clean hotel attached to the restaurant. Parking was conveniently located downstairs for both the restaurant and hotel. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. Great food, wonderful service, and a gorgeous atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back!

We dined here for dinner tonight. It’s a beautiful location and they take reservations. Our food was great but our food took forever, where I felt maybe it sat for a bit making it warm hot but not hot hot. I’m not sure what really happened. There was only us, a table of 5 and another table of 2 seated. The flavors of our food was good but overall I didn’t feel full after my meal where I feel like the portions were a little bit on the smaller side. We even got two appetizers. Maybe we could have been starving from the moment we were seated till our meals came which was over an hour. I also felt that the prices were a bit on the expensive side. I would say this is a place to try for something new.

Fiamma Burger is a must-visit destination for burger enthusiasts in Bellingham, WA. Nestled in a modern space adorned with wood and metal accents, this burger joint offers an impressive array of options featuring various meats and veggie alternatives, all customizable with your choice of toppings. The highlight here is the commitment to quality; Fiamma uses all-natural, hormone-free beef sourced from the Northwest, ground fresh daily right on-site.
I had a great experience at Fiamma Burger! I asked if they could warm up my food, but instead, they went the extra mile and made me a fresh burger, which I really appreciated. The customer service was fantastic, and the baked potato burger was seriously delicious—it had just the right mix of meat, onions, and potatoes, making every bite perfect. The hot, fresh fries were a great addition, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, making the meal even better. The onion rings were also amazing, crispy and packed with flavor. Everything came together so well, and I’ll definitely be back to try more!

We came here for the first time for my son. The young man tends to order 3 patty burgers and he loves his sweet potato fries. Well, this got expensive quick. So with a drink, the total hit $29.80 including tip. I can appreciate the quality of the product but I was not expecting to pay this much for his meal. I would say if you can stick to the standard fries, fountain drink and cheeseburger, you can probably keep it around $21 not including tip. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. I would encourage you to give them a try if you're not on a tight budget.

I love Fiamma burger. Every month they do a special burger and shake and they do a weekly fried chicken dinner. Sept 2025 burger and shake are the BEST ever. And you can't go wrong with the sweet potato fries or the Mojo's to pair with. And the drinks are top notch. Highly recommend you go there. Yes it's smash burgers, but so much flavor.

Great burger place in Bellingham! They have beef, chicken, and vegan options. Their burgers are freshly made and they have a nice selection of fountain drinks. Their sweet potato fries and onion rings are great! Also, they have some tasty shakes. Great spot downtown!

Been an infrequent patron but always a fan of Fiamma Burger for 7 or 8 years now, food is always tasty, staff is always kind and helpful. I understand why prices have raised over years, however, y'all can't just cut the portions of fries like that and charge the same price. Potatoes are cheap, but I just got 1/3rd or 1/4th the amount of garlic fries that I used to get while paying the same price as before. Charge me another $1 for fries, I get it, stuff goes up, but don't slash the quantity like that at your current price point.
Chip D — Google review
This is a great spot for a casual meal. I was recently here for lunch with my family. It was a Saturday and it wasn’t too busy when we got there but it slowly became pretty full. The food was great a reasonably priced. They also have a fantastic craft beer selection (build your own six pack to go). I had the triple onion stack burger and it was a beast! With a side of garlic fries, it was no joke. The flavor of the burger was excellent. and the patties were perfectly cooked with crispy edges. Service was friendly and fast. Ample seating inside and outdoor. I highly recommend this spot!
Dang N — Google review
The place itself was nice clean, comfortable, and had a good vibe. The food was solid; the burgers were tasty and cooked well. The only downside was the service, which was a bit slow and made the wait longer than expected. Overall, not bad, but there’s definitely room for improvement. Poutine is good.
Mr. B — Google review
Every time I come here I’m really hoping it’s better than the last time I had it, and it never is. Their new fried chicken had a great crust but the meat was stringy and seemed undercooked. The fries vary between crispy and basically cold/undercooked. The burgers are usually dripping in grease and pretty small compared to the cost. I understand it’s a rough time for small businesses and I want to continue to support my local burger joint but the inconsistency of quality in each item is making that difficult.

I’ve been to both Bellingham locations: downtown was quiet and lovely (Sunday night), and the other location was unbearably loud (Saturday night). The food and margaritas were outstanding at both locations, particularly the steak fajita salad. Highly recommend!

My partner and I came here for dinner after a hike. We didn't have a reservation but we got a table. My partner ordered chicken enchiladas and I got veggie enchiladas. I was a little disappointed with my dish as the veggies were carrots, zucchini and squash. I've had veggie enchiladas before and they typically have mushrooms, bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. My partner enjoyed his meal and we both appreciated the portion size of our meals. Staff were warm and friendly. I would come back here and order something else.

I’ve been to the Fairhaven location many times and had consistently great experiences, so this not-so-great experience came as a surprise. •Service 1/5: took a long time to be greeted and seated. It was lunchtime, but it wasn’t busy (maybe 2-3 others). Taking our order was faster, food was served promptly, but our server didn’t ask how our meals were until we were nearly done (15mins+ later). •Veggie Taco Salad 2.25/5: flavor was just ok, at least it was loaded with veggies. Asked if it came with refried or whole beans, he said refried, which I wanted, but when I got my order, there were whole beans. Not the end of the world, but disappointing since I’d asked and would’ve swapped to refried. •Chicken Chimichangas 3/5: friend’s order. No sour cream (as noted on the menu), he said the chicken was a bit dry, but refried beans were excellent! Also, the water tasted weird, like if you drank from an outdoor hose. With all that, I wouldn’t recommend this location.

Food was typical of your regular Mexican-American food. Huge portions and extremely heavy! The fajitas were good and the queso with chorizo was my favorite. The ‘big mama’ margaritas were good but not that strong for how large they were.

My friend and her husband got food poisoning from eating there last night. Service was extremely slow, but the waitress was very kind. I liked my food and my drink, so I will give 2 stars instead of 1. It's also generally a fun place to go, I like the decor and the option to sit outside. I'll probably choose to go to a different location from now on, though.

This spot was highly recommended in public forums and we decided to have lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. They also have a sister restaurant right beside selling coffee and other quick snacks. There was a line but it moved fast. We got the fried yucas and choripollo sandwich. The yucas were mindblowing - absolutely delicious, I have not had such texture in a fried dish before. The spice mix sprinkled on it and the sauce was delightful. The chorizo and chicken sandwich was smashing - the chimichurri sauce in it was so tasty we couldn’t believe how good it was. I’m glad we found this place on our visit.

My beautiful and talented sister who lived in Bellingham suggested I go here. I always trust her food recommendations . She never answers my texts or calls unless it’s food related for some reason. Yes we love each other. I ended up getting the pollo sandwich and Tuesday it’s buy 1 get one free , so I thought why not. I got a side of potatoes with one of them. From the moment of the first bite with the perfect bread and sauce, I wished the sandwich never ended . It was so good. The only feeling I had in a long time even similar to that was actually the night before when Bad Bunny was announced as the performer of the Super Bowl. He’s awesome just like the sandwich I had. Next time I’m in Bellingham , I will try another sandwich and I can’t wait !

One of that better sandwiches that you can enjoy in Bellingham. I’ve noticed that service has been off both times. Employees won’t notice that there are people waiting to order and they’ll be talking in the back. This has happened both times, but the food quality still makes it worth coming here.

Cafe Rumba was a delightful experience from start to finish. The staff was super friendly and my meal came out without any delay. The pulled pork sandwich was hot, fresh, and super juicy, with just the right amount of spice. Enjoyed every last bite and left me wanting seconds! Highly recommended this place for any and all looking for a satisfying meal. You won't regret it!

The Butifarra Royale was one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten and huge, so I ate the other half the next day. I got it with the salad which was fine, but I'll probably try the yuca or the choclo next time. I accidentally came very close to closing time, but I was able to sit outside at a picnic table that was tied down. I am definitely going to be back for the Thursday special prices. Don't skip this place. The food is better than the pictures suggest and it has a bohemian cafe vibe.

I've eaten here before and had the quinoa bowl and really enjoyed it. This time I had the sandwich and it was also good but slightly too much bread for me. For me I'd probably stick with the quinoa bowl. The inside of the shop is really interesting. It's kind of a hole in the wall shop and inside its a very rustic feel. The bathroom reminds me of the spaciousness of an airplane bathroom.

Cafe Rumba is the most unexpectedly delicious food I've tried in Bham! I typically don't like anything spicy, but I think that Peruvian food is so yummy that I can take the heat. I usually get the Butifarra with Papas, but everything on their menu is bursting with flavor and texture. I only gave the atmosphere 3 stars because it's a pretty small and cramped dining area. But if you are able to find a seat there, they are usually playing good music and it's fun to be able to watch everyone make the food! 🩷

Brandywine Kitchen is a cosmopolitan restaurant located at 1317 Commercial St, Bellingham, WA. It offers a casual and family-friendly atmosphere with pavement tables and a mezzanine level. The menu features fresh international dishes such as fish tacos, burgers, sandwiches, and more. One of their unique offerings is the Cubano Burger made with all-natural beef patty, Hemplers ham, Swiss cheese, kosher pickles, aioli, and stone-ground mustard.
Brandywine Kitchen in Bellingham is a very nice quaint place to grab a bite to eat. I went on a Friday early afternoon and I was immediately excited about the quiet atmosphere so I could unwind after my hour drive to Bellingham. The only other patrons were two small families that didn't talk loudly. A handwritten sign instructs you to go to the counter at the back of the longish restaurant to order. Ring a small bell there if nobody is at the counter as the people working the kitchen also work every other part of the place. The menu is written on a big overhead board at the counter area. The menu is diverse between vegetarian and non vegetarian selections. I had a Philly Cheesesteak that was quite tasty and came with properly cooked fries which I doused with hot sauce to make them spicy. My wife ordered the Fish and Chips remarking favorably on the freshness of the fish and the quality of the breading and cook. We only drank water, but they do have a small bar with some fresh beers on tap. Table service was good. All the employees were helpful and answered all our questions. The guy we dealt with was extremely nice. There is a small outdoor seating area out front. Overall, I truly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

The tofu bahn mi was decent, fish tacos decent, side salad was top notch, and the drinks (a beer and a cider) were really good

We were pleased with our meals. We ordered a burger, which was a higher-end Burger and enjoyable. Enjoyable. Got the orchard salad which I loved. My only comment on it would be that there was only one person taking orders and the line was practically out the door. I don't know if that was just the time we happened to be there or if that's common place, but you do have to stand in line to order at the counter and there were some people waiting a long time.

Brandywine Kitchen nails it—local, fresh, and full of soul. The sandwiches? Phenomenal. The fries? Crispy golden miracles. The house sauces? Next level. You can taste the care in every bite. Whether you’re grabbing a hearty lunch or settling in for a casual dinner, this spot delivers comfort food with craft-level execution. Bonus points for the warm, welcoming vibe and a menu that honors seasonal ingredients without being pretentious. This place makes Bellingham proud. Go hungry, leave smiling.

Really great spot, place was clean and food was great, out fairly quick. I got the Korean fried chicken sandwich and it was great, really moist and crispy and great flavor. Really good gluten free options, gluten free burger bun was good.

I live in Seattle so I decided to go for a drive on my day off and wound up here in Bellingham, WA. A friend of mine told me to try Brandywine kitchen I'm so glad I listened to his advice this restaurant is absolutely phenomenal. I am a huge fan of fish and chips and fish tacos and these two entrees here are the best I've had well-done guys.

I ordered the Rocket BLT. It was terrible. Bacon was good, but bread was soggy with some other strange ingredients. The salad was a lot of nothing. The wine was cheap but largely gut-rot.

Interesting concept. You order at the counter and then take a number and they bring your food to you. There is a station to get cutlery and napkins and cups and drinks. I ordered the tacos and I didn’t like them that much. They were underwhelming for me.

Always great service. Usually busy on weekends. One of my fav places to go for some greasy diner food.

I do like to come here cause it’s locally owned; waits are usually long for weekends; we had to wait 30 min for food; ice tea was over brewed Eggs Benedict were good and the country potatoes were really good; portions are large so be ready to take some home

Went by myself for a quick breakfast after some friends around town recommended it. Staff was pleasant and obviously used to regulars. Ordered quickly, but was 30 minutes before I got my order of a single Denver omelette ($15). The omelette was not great. The bell pepper wasn't cooked, the ham was cheap chewy pre-cooked cubes and had zero flavor, and cheese was practically non-existent. The home fries on the side tasted like nothing and required pepper and salt. Asked for peanut butter with the included English muffin, not knowing 2tbsp of it would be an added $1.50. Inside was pretty standard old fashioned diner that hasn't been deep cleaned or updated in 30 years. Definitely the kind of place regulars go because they know your name and order. Overall would not recommend, overpriced for the quality you get and how long it takes. Single person bill w/coffee was $22.

Good breakfast/diner experience ! There was no wait for a Sunday breakfast for 4. The cinnamon bun was great (smothered in melted butter, no icing). The Denver omelette and blueberry pancakes were really good. Otherwise very average experience. My friend did not like the country friend steak burrito. Potatoes were also just ok.

Super bland. Lacked seasoning and flavor. Way overpriced. Server was great tho. We should have gone to the horseshoe for a proper diner breakfast

This morning's breakfast was the best we've had in the longest time. We've always enjoyed the food in the past, but it seems different now in a good way. The potatoes were cooked perfectly, the pancakes were light and fluffy, and everything cooked perfectly. The hollandaise sauce had great flavor and seasoning, the gravy was good, and even better than the food is the service. In all our years of coming here, we have always had good service. The staff is always friendly and sweet. I gave Arlis' a 5 for ambiance because I love that it is an old diner and has retained its charm and vibe. They aren't a new place decorated to be nostalgic. They're authentic and it feels very comfortable being there.

Pretty average diner experience. POG juice was incredible! The food was good, but not EXCEPTIONAL. I was disappointed in the lack of dairy free alternatives. Overall, I enjoyed my bacon waffle. Not sure if I’d return though considering the price, the wait & average taste.

Fabulous place. Came here in the evening and had Dan as our server. Could not ask for a better server. Seriously. He’s the best. We had the blue cheese dip w/chips (10/10) as a starter and it was so tasty. Then we had the BLT salad (9/10) and hot stuffed dates (9/10). I wish the non-date ingredients were increased a bit so we could taste them more but overall very flavorful. Excellent quality and decent prices. The drinks were fantastic as well. I had a Dark Matter (10/10) and my partner had a nonalcoholic negroni (9/10). Very dynamic, both a good blend of bitter and sweet without being too sweet. Highly recommend!

A more chic place to go for a drink, much more of a sit-down place. They try to put their own style on drinks, which makes it a bit unique. I had a charcuterie board here and a dirty shirley to drink, both of which were very good! I will say I didn’t find the seating to be the most comfortable. Staff were nice, though since my group was there for a little while, they stopped checking on us. Cute little place.

Wow, this is just truly how you dine in Bellingham. First you just start with wonderful seating options, whether indoor or outdoor you’re in a cozy spot. Then you have the service, each moment feeling like you’re the best most vip customer they have ever gotten, even while you see them delivering the same service to others. But you won’t be jealous because they will explain the menu, drinks and food, to your taste. Any question, they’ll answer and do it honestly. Then the food. Oh geez. The menu seems small but it is so not when it come out and is set in front of you. I feel like you always get approached with such a myriad of flavors, textures, and ideas they may sound odd but end up so amazing. Like this is a place where you add braised greens to your dish to be an adult and you end up fighting over your share plate for the greens because they are so unbelievably yummy. So obviously. Overall a great place for a drink or 3, a date, a small cheese bite, or full on dinner. Great ambiance. Great food. Great people. Great drinks. Just can’t miss here.

Cozy, intimate even, with a relaxed pace. I am not usually in the mood for cocktails, but when that mood strikes, a spot like this is perfect! (They also have draft craft beers and a curated wine list.) We sipped on ‘I Would Dai for You’ & ‘Night on the Sun’. Focused flavors executed with balance and subtle flair...and so pretty. As for food, the menu is not huge but full of delicious yummies. We had goat cheese toast, savory puff pastry pies, and brie grilled cheese with ham. Everything tasted so fresh and clean, as I’ve come to expect from the best places in town. Will definitely return to sample more of the intriguing cocktails.

Super delicious drinks and food. It's not a big place, and their kitchen is small, so there may be a wait sometimes. Sip your strong and tasty cocktails and enjoy the chill atmosphere. Definitely try the specials as they are usually great. Good for dates too!

Literally my favorite bar I've ever been to. The rotating, seasonal, mostly locally sourced cocktail menu is amazing. I have never had a drink I didn't love. Their food menu is creative, rich, and uses a ton of locally sourced ingredients, and their happy hour specials are a fantastic value. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I make this place a priority every time I visit.

The food is good. The atmosphere is loud and active. Lots of college age people, which is typical for Bellingham. We were brought a couple of different items than we ordered, but they were just salads, so we ate them anyway and didn't bother with trying to exchange. Restaurants are understaffed like everyone. I'll probably go there again.

Very hopeful looking at the reviews for the Reuben. The meat unfortunately was dried out having steamed through the remaining ingredients blanching the flavors. My wife ordered the basic meaty with sausage links and thought it was a good classic breakfast. Crispy hash browns, runny eggs with real butter and a quality tea bag made the comfortable environment warm and hospitable.

Avenue bread is a local deli that offers soup and sandwiches. The food is pretty good, but I hate to say the prices are way overpriced. This place does not offer a good value for what you get. The place is always packed, so I am sure there are a lot of people who love coming here, but having eaten so many places throughout Bellingham, and beyond, I just can’t give this place my recommendation. The atmosphere is nice, and the service is mediocre. $20 for a small sandwich and some potato chips is just ridiculous. In my opinion.

Full five star brunch - my goodness it was DELISH. My family have had a cabin 20 minutes from this location for decades, and I’ve only just tried this brunch today!! Get the Sunnyland omelette and add bacon - so so so so so good, and the portions are huge. The hashbrowns are perfection, so crispy on the outside, YUM! We went last night for the Valentines Day four course meal. I truly think it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. And I’m a bit of a foodie so I’ve tried many high quality local spots. We’ve come here a few other times and were even here for Valentines Days last year too. The main course was so good this year! I literally can’t stop thinking about it. We also had our cranky toddler with us and everyone was super kind and supportive. We will definitely be coming back, especially for Valentine’s Day next year❤️

I went with two friends to happy hour on a Tuesday afternoon. The restaurant was quiet and allowed us to have a conversation really easily. As a vegetarian, I found the happy hour item selection to be small but typical for a HH spot - "truffle" fries, sweet potato fries, and roasted brussel sprouts. There was also a veg Thai curry soup, but it was basically merely a broth with no vegetables so I pass on that. (One of my friends did get it and she said it was very good.) I ordered a salad from the dinner menu to round out the visit. We ordered a Moscow Mule, Lemon Drop, and a glass of Chardonnay as our drinks. All were fine but not spectacular. Our server seemed rather disinterested in us and we had a couple fairly long pauses between table check-ins, but overall not bad. I wouldn't suggest it as a restaurant to anyone but I would be OK with visiting again if someone really wanted to go.

Been here twice now and both times it was incredible. Service was top notch — the server was warm and friendly, and only came around when necessary, not too much or too little. This restaurant is inside Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Bellingham, WA. The calamari is really good. I highly recommend this dish. The sauce that comes with it was really good. I think it’s kind of like honey mustard with lemon. Thai salad was delicious, unfortunately the grilled chicken was kind of dry for me. I should’ve added salmon instead. The Thai shrimp cocktail was so good and fresh. You must try this shrimp cocktail. Chicken wings, B-Town burger are really good too. The curry soup was good but it needs veggies or meat in it. Everything we ordered was really good. When I return to Bellingham, I definitely go back to this place!

Looking for Fried Chicken, located this restaurant. Was amazed by the atmosphere on the main floor. Was very impressed when arriving up on the second floor. The book bar. Loved the different colored stairs and the non-skid flooring. Not to bad of a climb up the stairs for this 63 year old . The most surprising item was the beet appetizer. It was very tasty and also impressed in the amount of beets. Also enjoyed that each table number was stenciled on the table. Then you can get 20 percent off Mallard Ice Cream. What a nice treat for later. Our chicken was moist and tender. Also enjoyed my drink, the test pilot so much that I had two.

My daughter, who lives in Bellingham and goes to Washington State University, has been raving about Bantam for a while—so we finally had the chance to check it out together. She had especially talked about the beet salad appetizer, and wow, it did not disappoint! The flavors were incredible—the feta cheese took it to the next level. We also had the chicken, and it was delicious. What made the experience even better was the amazing service. Our server was incredibly sweet and made sure we got to try all the sauces. She was attentive without being overbearing, making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is cozy and thoughtfully decorated. I loved that there were books to browse and that the upstairs seating offered a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. While there is seating downstairs, I’d definitely recommend the second floor for a more relaxed dining experience. We came on a Saturday night and, thankfully, there was no wait. Street parking was easy to find, which made everything even smoother. Thank you for a great meal and a lovely evening with my daughter—this is one spot we’ll definitely be coming back to!

My wife found this spot for fried chicken on maps and we decided to come here for dinner. The staff were attentive all through out our visit and were very helpful. We got peach sparkling lemonade, special astoria waldorf salad with rotisserie chicken and spicy fried jerk chicken with pineapple habanero sauce. The lemonade was delightful and punchy. The salad was delicious and crunchy. The rotisserie chicken went perfectly with it. The fried chicken with the jerk seasoning was amazing, although the habanero sauce was bone hit-tingly tart which I had trouble finishing. The cole slaw was great too. Contrary to other entrees, I felt the portion size was small for the price as I was still hungry after my meal. A decent place though.
Abhash S — Google review
Had a lovely dinner to try the fried chicken, but we were actually more impressed with the rotisserie chicken. Split a half fried chicken and a quarter rotisserie chicken, and it was so much food! Their portions are very generous, we probably could've split just one half chicken dish. The sides were also excellent. Excited to return and try more things on the menu!

Came here for my birthday dinner and had such a lovely experience. The vibe is cozy, and you can choose to sit upstairs or downstairs (even though the view is just the parking lot, it’s still a nice option to have). The staff was super friendly, and everything we ordered was well-prepared. We got the pulled pork sandwiches and fries—both were delicious. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the hush puppies, but my boyfriend loved them, so that was probably just a taste preference. One thing I didn’t love was that they have a separate menu for weekdays and weekends. There were some items on the weekend menu I was really hoping to try, but since we came on a weekday, they weren’t available. Totally understand the reasoning, but it was a little disappointing! Still, overall it was a great experience, and I’d definitely come back to try the weekend menu next time.
Katrina T — Google review
Nothing about the experience was excellent, but I’m particularly disappointed with the food. For starters, the seating was unpleasant as we were sat in the front area right in front of the window next to a table of six, despite having reservations and the place being nearly empty. The service was fine but not great for how not busy it was. They were out of two dishes we asked for, which I can somewhat understand since it’s a small-ish restaurant, but the server didn’t know that until they went to the kitchen and then came back minutes later and told us. Any server in any restaurant should know what the kitchen has in stock, period. The food was incredibly disappointing. Yes, the portions were good sizes, but the flavor was either very bland or so intense (in a bad way) it was almost inedible. If this was a brewery or a place that happened to have food, but specialized in other things AND it was half the price. I’d be less disappointed. But this is a moderately pricey restaurant that specializes in chicken… Overall, a total waste.

Nestled within the charming streets of downtown Bellingham, Bar Cicotti is a delightful coffee and wine bar that offers an authentic taste of Italy. Owned by Jonathan Cicotti, whose family hails from Cento in Northern Italy, this cozy venue serves Cafe Umbria coffee during the day and transforms into a vibrant drinking spot at night. With its romantic ambiance, it's perfect for enjoying simple Italian dishes like handmade pasta or antipasti alongside a glass of fine wine.
Fun and hidden gem of a cafe. Nested in the museum the intimate location with a focused and high-quality menu. Had a selection of olives and small plates. The truffle grilled cheese sandwich is amazing. A nice wine list and a range of norther Italian treats. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Loved it. After a few hours of visiting the museum the place was a great end of our visit.

The service was great. Some of the food was middle of the road, such as the gnocchi. To me, all I tasted was the olive oil. But when we added the panccetta, it made the dish much better. It was my first time eating there so I'm hoping it was just a one off. The atmosphere is intimate. This is not a big place by any means. The wine selection is nice too, making for a perfect date night. I would not recommend this place for kiddos.

Came here for Sunday lunch after seeing good ratings on the reviews but did not anticipate to have to wait over an hour and our main course still did not come. We ordered 2 appies and one pasta. Each appy took 20mins to come. There was only one other table of 4 at the restaurant. Not sure why the food took forever to come. We asked how long our main course would come and we were told that it will be next in line to be baked…. This was after an hour of wait already. Quite disappointing and we ended up hvaing to cancel our pasta because it might take another 30 minutes before its ready? Food was ok but it is unreasonable to wait over an hour just for a main course.

We LOVE Bar Cicotti. Yesterday's visit was an early fall morning with sunshine at the wooden tables outside, espresso and top notch ingredients. Simple things like bread and cheese turn into a delightful experience. Crisped thick focaccia with a soft chew, sprinkled in (Maldon??) Sea salt and dipped in a simple marinara highlights the homemade integrity of the bread. We like to get a side of barratta cheese too, drizzled in high quality olive oil and speinkled with salt and pepper. The freshness and flavor is incomparable to anywhere I've been. Not to mention, we love the team. Always accommodating and inviting, we can revel in the enjoyment of the food and drink together. Custom ceramic dishes are so fun to drink out of and give a unique style to the cafe as it nestles into the art museum behind it. Stemming from the owner's heart, the care and passion for hospitality, a slice of Italy and a calm, comfortable place to rest and commune with friends and family is felt for sure! This peaceful nook is a branch from Storia Cucina, their larger restaurant, just a few minutes walk down the street. If you havent been, go! :D Thanks everyone and see you again soon!

The food was delicious. Our main dish was the Gnochetti. The pasta was a perfect al dente and I really liked the sauce, which was creamy without being overly rich. My second favorite might be the bruschetta. I liked the stuffed mushrooms also although my wife thought they were too salty.

Best meal we've had in Bham, and we've had some great meals. Gnochetti pasta (homemade) with sundried toms was last-meal worthy. "I don't want to keep eating, cuz then it will be gone," she said. Also loved the eggplant panini and the bruschetta. Even the simple house salad was more than the sum of its simple parts. Our server knew a lot, and he was personable and peaceful. We got to talking Italy, and he said he was drawn to working at Bar Cicotti because it's modeled after the small places in Italy where you can pop in for a glass of wine, espresso, and a delicious bite from a simple menu. He also told a story about one of the wines, a varietal that Italians had thought extinct until they recently discovered it in some guy's back yard and revived it.

One of our best meals in Bellingham. It was like we were walking into a small cafe in Italy. The food was amazing. You get to see Chef Casey cooking up a Strom in the open kitchen. The chef is very accommodating to your dietry needs.Everyone one was so kind and wonderful. Definitely a keeper for us to keep visiting. We will definitely be back.

Anthony's at Squalicum Harbor is a down-to-earth seafood restaurant located in the Pacific Northwest, offering a menu filled with hearty local catches. The Bellingham and Anacortes locations are known for their great food, unbeatable ambiance, and serene waterside setting. Visitors can enjoy the freshest catch of the day while taking in a glowing sunset and good company.
Came here with my best friend to celebrate an early Valentines, and very happy with our experience!! We each did the early sunset dinner which even with the price increase is a great deal ($33 for an appetizer, full size entree and dessert). Food here is consistently great, and the service is amazing! Our waiter was so friendly and funny :)

What a great evening at Anthonys! We Enjoyed the Seafood Linguini which was packed with seafood! I must also say the table bread as well as the butter was fresh and delicious. Great views of the harbour. Our waiter Bill was very attentive and helpful!

Always the best. Salmon & Halibut cooked just right. Very good sides, the House Salad is very good. Desserts very good. Bread & water service generous. Settling is perfect. Excellent wine cellar selecting. 5stars all the way.

We had an early dinner so no need for reservations. We were seated promptly at a window side table. The Sun was low so a minor shade adjustment was required. A nice view of all the boats in the marina spread out beside us. Quite the nice spectacle. Drinks, food and service were all exemplary. Post dinner a long walk around the harbor as the sun set burned up a few calories but did not totally offset the Cherry Buckle dessert.

We had Easter Brunch at Anthony's. It was a great experience and they accommodated our party of 7 nicely. The service was excellent. I had the San Juan Scramble and it was delicious a nice mix of breakfast flavors and bacon with the potatoes. Others ordered the Eggs Benedict, Bacon and eggs, and a few had a sausage breakfast bowl. It was very busy but not so loud that we couldn't hear each other. It's an annual tradition for us now!

The food is always delicious and fresh. What ready stands out is the service. We were especially impressed with Shane when we visited this Saturday for brunch. He truly went above and beyond to take care of us. Shane was kind to our little one and kept checking on us to make sure our meal was satisfactory. Thank you Anthony’s and Shane for a great experience.

The Colophon Cafe, located in the Fairhaven District just outside Bellingham's city center, has been a local favorite since 1985. The cafe is known for its creative soups and global fare, as well as its ice cream and desserts. The menu offers a variety of options for lunch, dinner, and brunch, including African Peanut soup, Alaskan Salmon Burger, Shakshuka stew, and breakfast sandwiches.
Great food. My husband had a latte and I had the portobello sandwich on gluten free bread and the peanut soup. All was really good but the soup needed a bit more salt.
Michelle — Google review
The staff were all incredibly nice. I came with a party of 7. Our food came out pretty fast and the quality of the food was top notch. It was nice to see a menu where everything was interesting. I ordered the soup flight of three. The split pea was very good. The crowded Chowder was just okay. The clam chowder was just too runny, in my opinion. The African peanut soup was incredible. I also ordered a half turkey sandwich on rye with the cranberry sauce and it was a 10/10. Overall, this place was an easy 5 star just on service and food quality alone. The ambiance of the place felt family friendly.
Chris D — Google review
The place is dog-friendly, and the food came out quickly. My husband said the French toast was good. The shakshuka was unusual—the flavor was okay, but I couldn’t taste any bell peppers. It was very watery and had the consistency of tomato juice rather than traditional shakshuka. The eggs were nicely prepared but appeared to have been cooked separately.

Super friendly staff, super cozy environment and really good food. I had the sirachi fries and the French dip sandwich. Everything was seasoned and so delicious. Really appreciate how warm and friendly the staff is too.

One of our favorite places, bellies always feel good when we leave. Wholesome, healthy, comforting sandwiches and soups and bakery items. Cool location on the Fairhaven Village Green with cozy historic inside seating, plus a beautiful patio for dining 'plein air'. Staff is friendly and attentive. It's the first place we bring out of town visitors.

It has been years since I have been here - and it is even better than I remembered. There wee so many things on the menu I wanted to try - the soups looked amazing! A little warm today for that, so a chicken burger and a sandwich, both of which were excellent and large enough we took half home. The wedge fries were perfect. Service was quick and friendly and fun! Located next to village books, a great place to peruse purchases or take a break from shopping. Or just walk up to for a meal.

The Loft Restaurant is a charming eatery situated in the Bellingham marina, offering a spacious deck that provides breathtaking views of the boats and stunning sunsets during dinnertime. The menu features a diverse selection including burgers, tacos, steaks, and inventive delights like avocado fries and brunch crepes with unique flavor pairings. The relaxed atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for enjoying drinks and snacks while taking in the picturesque surroundings.
I was recommended this acquaint place on water. The food was outstanding, halibut fish and chips were absolutely delicious so was the Asian salad. Definitely coming back

Great location for a restaurant serving American food; we had the halibut and ahi tacos, steak, and chips queso; Tacos were good but overall serving size was small; fries were good but not crispy enough Friendly staff and good views of the docks
Monem S — Google review
There I was, September 28th, I had just finished untangling my boat’s anchor line for approximately 73 minutes, my sailing jacket still damp with sea mist, and I found myself drawn to The Loft’s waterfront deck like a moth to a cosmic flame. What really makes “The Loft” transcendent is their seafood chowder, which transported me to a feeling of oceanic bliss reminiscent of how Jacques Cousteau must have felt during his first underwater expedition - utterly connected to the maritime divine. The purple wildflowers scattered along the dock seemed to whisper ancient secrets as sailboat masts swayed in perfect harmony with my heightened consciousness.

This is a gem of a restaurant and you cannot beat the view. It is right on the waterfront by the marina. The food is delicious and our server, Becca was delightful. We opted to do four "courses" and order slowly so we could soak up time with our son who goes to college at Western. We stayed almost three hours and they were exceptionally accommodating. Brunch menu on the weekends. Reservations online. I highly recommend it.
Carrie K — Google review
My husband and I visited this afternoon. We had drinks, an appy, and we both got salads. My husband's steak salad was great, but the steak itself was cold and was obviously reheated and served. My Chicken Thai salad was great, but the chicken was too salty. Service was fantastic, along with the drinks! We will be back one day, we loved the location!
Erica C — Google review
Came down here with some girlfriends and sat in the bar for happy hour. They have some very good deals on happy hour but they're regular menu is also amazing to. I highly recommend the avocado fries and the dry ribs. Staff is always prompt and super friendly there, love the view of the marina!
Samantha R — Google review
The class were amazing! Everything else was just meh. I ordered the code fish and chips and my husband got the Baja tacos. My fish and fries were burnt, but my husband's tacos were ok, if lacking Baja sauce. Honestly, it was probably because we were the first plate out of the kitchen when they opened, you know how you're supposed to toss the first pancake you make? Yeah, that should have been my plate lol. But seriously, the clams were to die for.
JessTastic M — Google review
the food came out pretty much cold. I highly recommend not booking a large party here . It took about 30 mins for drinks and a hr for food , people that were sitting around us that arrived after us got food quite fast. I’m unsure where the kitchen and staff missed such a large order. The crab queso dip had grey crab. The staff was unpleasant . They all had an attitude where it started to feel very un inviting . We chose this place for our 12 year olds birthday dinner and to say the least I will never eat here again. Also they pretty much didn’t listen to any complaint put in about the food . I would second guess going here for any reason .

They specialize in producing niche spirits that reflect the local area, such as their award-winning vodka made from locally sourced Yukon Gold potatoes. Visitors can sample a variety of craft spirits including whisky, vodka, and gin at this prominent local distillery.
If you do one thing while you're in Bellingham - book this distillery tour! Super fun and informative. Loved hearing the history of the building and the distillery itself. Who knew making spirits would be so interesting! You get two sample drinks as well as enjoying some laughs and you may even learn a few things! There's an opportunity to buy some souvenirs at the end - get the Krampus 😉

Really nice experience! I found out about this place via ChatGPT, and we’re worried that the price for the tour was not going to be worth it, but we were very surprised. The tour was really great. Nat was really great! She explained all the process really well. Also, there were a lot of samples, and in the end, we were able to try out all the products. We ended up buying the coffee liquor, which was really good. It’s totally worth it! If you are around Bellingham, this is a must!

Went all the way up north 6 hour round trip to the krampus event tonight, bought a whole lot of food and drink so many delicious spirits, they even have some high quality merchandise for purchase, even special shirts for the event itself. Place is awesome! Really well built establishment, everyone on staff was a pleasure to speak with and had extensive knowledge of their fine products. Some of the best local spirits you can get right here. Had a bit of a mishap with some take home bottles and the paper bags they were given to me in but I will be returning for more thanks to Ethan making this right for me just in time for the people in my life to recieve their holiday gifts.
Colby R — Google review
We enjoyed the tour very much. Our tour guide was very knowledge and friendly. It was a great way to learn about the process of distillation and spirit production, while tasting a few samples along the way (the coffee liquor was my favorite.) There was a restaurant next door attached to the distillery (Penny Farthing) which had a great food as well.
Alec A — Google review
First of all, I went with high expectations, excited to find a great drink in this place that seemed very well prepared when it comes to drinks and cocktails. My disappointment was that when I went during Happy Hour around 4 p.m. I ordered an Espresso Martini and my surprise was that half the glass was foam and the other half was an almost brown Espresso Martini. Then I ordered a Coconut Margarita and it turns out that the glass was full of ice, but in such way that with two sips the drink disappeared. I will put some picture so you can see. The bartenders were very sweet but the drinks nothing to do with a place that is proud of their drinks. Not coming back again.
Ernesto L — Google review
What a great experience at the distillery tour! 🌟 Our host, Nat, was a rockstar, guiding us through a tour packed with fascinating history and hands-on fun. The tastings were generous, and we were never left thirsty—cheers to that! 🥂 The spirits? Absolutely delicious! I learned so much about their process, but the highlight had to be the Krampus special edition liqueur—it's a must-try! 🎄🔥 Plus, the tour comes with sweet discounts on all the merch and at the attached restaurant. Speaking of which, the ribs were out of this world, and the whiskey sour was perfection. Highly recommend this experience! 🍖🥃
Samia D — Google review
Very good spirits! Each one we tried was delicious and beautifully crafted. Highly recommend the Krampus. It is $10 for a tasting and it is waved if you buy a bottle. The woman who helped us was friendly and informative. The inside is rustic and quaint with bar stools. Lots of street parking outside (metered). Def recommend visiting for a tasting.
BW A — Google review
First off Lauryn was absolutely amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her job. The tour was interesting and we loved learning all the facts of how alcohol is made. However, we found it strange that while we were given 2 small cocktails we didn’t get to taste each alcohol individually. It left us wondering what each alcohol tasted like on its own. After paying for a tour we didn’t also want to pay for a tasting flight on top of that. Because we couldn’t taste any of them we didn’t end up purchasing any bottles to take home.

Övn Wood Fired Pizza is a stylish and modern eatery that offers inventive wood-baked pies with creative toppings, along with a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Their Neapolitan-style pizzas are cooked in a huge wood-fired oven at 800 degrees, resulting in a quick two-minute cook time. The dough is made from naturally leavened unenriched flours and the mozzarella is hand-stretched daily.
Awesome experience. The pizza, salad, warm cookie dessert were fabulous. The service was excellent as well. We’ll be back! 10/10

First time visiting, and everything was great! We came with a group of 20 people, and they handled it really well. The pizza was delicious, and the wings were just as impressive. We tried all four wing flavors and enjoyed every one of them. The drink selection was awesome plenty of choices and something for everyone. Even though it was super busy for a Thursday night, the service was excellent. The staff stayed friendly, organized, and made sure our large group was taken care of. It was so good I only managed to get one photo before we all started eating!

I don’t usually eat pizza, but this is the only place I’d get pizza from! Their thin, crispy, and flavorful pizzas are amazing. I’ve been here several times and will definitely come back whenever we’re in the area. They have a covered outdoor space that’s really nice and dog-friendly, which is a big plus. Our favorite pizzas are the Sebba and the Franklin. I love the pizza, though I hope they add a bit more toppings. Overall, it’s a great place that I’d highly recommend. It’s also good for big groups—we went with a group of 10 and got a table right away on a Sunday afternoon. The service is excellent, and they always have good recommendations.

They consistently have the most delicious flavor combos for pizza and their staff are always amazing and on top of their service. Love coming here and recommending it to anyone looking for a fun sit-down pizza spot in town! We had lunch there for the first time. We got there shortly after they opened and were the first ones to arrive. We were greeted and told we could sit anywhere we wanted to. After that, he came over with water and menus. We ordered two of the lunch specials. I had the Nico and it was a savory pizza with mushrooms and my husband had the Sebba and it was sweet with the figs and glaze. We shared and enjoyed both - the crust is very good too. We also enjoyed the fresh arugula salad. After that our waiter brought us a warm chocolate chip cookie with 2 scoops of ice cream - so good. We enjoyed all of our food and recommend this restaurant.

Best GF pizza I’ve ever had! I have Celiac disease and was nervous about cross contamination, especially being cooked in the same oven, but it was excellent and I didn’t get sick! Our server told us the cook the GF pizzas in a separate part of the oven. We had a friendly server who was knowledgeable and had great suggestions. I’m still thinking about the Happy Hour $6 house white wine and kicking myself for not taking a photo of the bottle. My daughter had the lemon bar and it was also GF and so good! Can’t wait to go back whenever we visit our new WWU student. What an incredible experience.

This is a relatively small pizza place, but I think the size is perfect. The cramped seating around the bar and dining area remind me of New York City eateries. The outdoor seating is lovely as well and you get that fresh Ocean Air. Food and drinks are great. People are lovely and treat you well. Only downside might be that the bathroom is in the shared building area and you have to use a creepy little key on a fob which feels very unsanitary.

Good Mexican food, fun atmosphere, and a little different. We stopped in for lunch. The chicken tamale and carnitas tacos were wonderful. The tortillas were homemade -- kudos! But the Al Pastor burrito was not so great; the meat was more like goulash and a tad watery, which didn't work very well in a burrito (probably better in a taco). The rice and beans were good. Overall, the food was tasty and a welcome variation on standard Mexican fare. We enjoyed the location and the festive, spacious dining room. Very cheerful and bright. Pay-first counter service seems like a mismatch for such a nice-looking restaurant. But the table delivery was quick and courteous. We'll be back for sure, and I recommend you try this place.

Stopped by and grabbed a burrito asada with rice and beans to go. Order took around 8 minutes or so, total came out to 18 dollars. There was a one dollar to-go fee. Nice space, had bathrooms, a salsa bar, and plenty of seating. Good atmosphere and customer service, the employees seemed like friendly people. The burrito was serviceable, but I don't think it was worth the money. A Que Tacos has a supreme burrito for $8 that's probably a third larger. However Taco Lobo is downtown, has plenty of seating, and shows sports for those who are into watch tv while they eat. All in all, nice spot, but I doubt I'll go back.

Finally visited this restaurant! Our other locale changed their special so we stopped in here. A very swanky joint, with a huge menu. Order at the counter, take your number and find a seat. An awesome salsa bar to hit up while you wait, which won't be long ;) portions are nice and prices are decent.

Very good regional Mexican food, with a light, clean taste. Unfortunately, their vegan options have all-but disappeared. Still, a salad with avocado instead of chicken and a bowl of veggie beans or a veggie burrito is available. May not appeal to those used to Americanized dishes topped with tons of cheese. The salsa bar can't be beat.
Shemaia — Google review
I'm a bit disappointed. Flew all the way from Portugal to have some Mexican food (not truly) but still. It's hard to find in PT so I was excited to see tacos de birria. The consome was flavorless and the tacos were over stuffed with cheese to make it look big but barely an oz of carne. Three tacos for $16 it was just disappointing that they skipped out on the meat. Anyway. Please make the tacos worth their price.
RaShell M — Google review
The meat tasted very strange and I was overall extremely dissatisfied with the food. The burrito was terrible, especially for the price.
Elina J — Google review
I don't like to say these negative comments, but my friend and I both agree. We did not care for the flavors of the green salsa, the guacamole, the tortilla chips, chicken burrito or the enchiladas. Atmosphere and colors were great. And the Margarita on the Rocks was Excellent. But I'm sorry to say we won't be returning, unless it's for a Margarita and a Cerveza.

I was looking for a sweet treat after dinner and found. This spot online, bonus they stay open until 9 on a weekday! They have lots of options (including gluten free cakes and cookies): cakes, cookies, muffins, torts, etc. and they even have wine available 🥂 There’s seating up front, a larger area in the back, and a small outside patio when the weather is nice. The cake slices are very generous, I wish I had opted for the petite slice (which is also cheaper), but I’ll just save the rest for later 🍰

We recently visited Lombardi’s in Bellingham to celebrate a birthday. I want to first recognize that the customer service we received from our waitress was excellent—she was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not match the level of service. I ordered the lasagna, and it was very disappointing: the edges were burnt, and it tasted old, as if it had been sitting for a while. The chicken parmesan was equally disappointing—it was tough and difficult to eat. Because we were celebrating a special occasion, I chose not to make a scene or complain at the time, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. For the prices being charged, the food quality was not worth it. It gave the impression that the dishes were not made fresh, but rather reheated—perhaps even in a microwave. The freshness and flavor were simply not there, and much of the food was stale. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Lombardi’s to others looking for a fresh, quality meal.

This was my first visit to Lombardi's and the experience exceeded all expectations. The menu is quite varied and there is something to please everyone. Each person in our party ordered different entrees and all raved about their meals. The food was fresh, hot and flavorful with generous portions. The staff was friendly, welcoming and very professional. They provided exceptional service. The decor is very pleasant with plenty of seating indoors and outside with a lovely view of the marina. Lombardi's is a perfect place for a romantic evening or special occasion or just to enjoy drinks or a meal with family or friends. I highly recommend Lombardi's.

My first visit to Lombardis was an absolute delight! I was particularly fond of the tortellini Gorgonzola. The ambiance was elegant and romantic, and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning.

I had a delicious chicken parmesan for lunch. It came with brussels sprouts and fettuccine alfredo. A perfect meal. Yum!

Enjoyed the chicken marsala and puttanesca immensely for our entrees. The clam chowder was not bad for a restaurant with primarily Italian fare. The bruschetta was fantastic. The sunsets are lovely.

Great food, amazing waitress!! Appetizers are amazingly delicious and fresh. Beautiful setting for a date night or special night out! You will not be disappointed. Some restaurants charge high prices and you get average food here you get what you pay deliciousness!! Thank you!! I wish I had remembered our waitresses' name. You were amazing!! This is definitely the best Italian restaurant in Bellingham, Washington and also in my opinion, a top rated Italian restaurant in Western Washington. The location is absolutely spectacular right by the marina with plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating in a very clean and well kept dining facility. The menu is your typical Italian fair, and I have tried many of their dishes, and they all are exceptional. Focaccia bread with olive oil and garlic is a great beginning to an even better dining experience. Once your food arrives, the service is excellent and it is clear that they place high standards on their employees to provide a wonderful dining experience to their customers. I would highly recommend going to Lombardi for a great dining experience.

Zane Burger is a popular spot among locals and students, offering a diverse menu of burgers, fries, shakes, and more for dine-in, pick-up, or delivery. Visitors can also satisfy their sweet tooth at Evolve Chocolate & Cafe nearby. Customers have praised the pleasant environment and great food at Zane Burger. Some recommend trying the veggie burger and fries as a light snack while others enjoyed the delicious and fresh burgers with fair pricing.
Super fresh delicious drive up diner style burgers. Tons of options for burger patties yes vegetarian and a super great GF bun. Did I mention the cheese. Great service indoor and out door seating.

Updated Oct. 4, 2022 Just had to try the Tuesday $3 burger (with cheese!) It was GREAT! The burger, small fries and a root beer, 8 bucks & change, can’t beat it!!!! Good burgers and fries. A nice local spot, reasonably priced.

Delicious & very well priced! We actually didn’t a burger, I was actually craving fish n chips and saw they had some! It was super yummy and so we’re the fries. We also ordered a peach milkshake and it was bomb! Would recommend!!

We made a stop at Zane on the way home (just a quick detour on our trip.) As usual, icecream is my favorite on a hot day. This time my uncle tried veggie burger and fries for light snacks. We love French fries and the burger. We definitely will visit Zane again when we visit the area.

We really enjoyed the burgers, fries, chicken tenders and the shakes, oh and the soft serve ice cream was delicious too! We got our food pretty fast and the service was very friendly.

I led a motorcycle group on a ride today and Zane's was our northern destination. I was a little nervous to choose Zane's being as I had never eaten there myself. However, I'm always open to try new places, and Zane's did not disappoint. The food was good, service was good and the price was decent. Glad I chose Zane's.

Embark on a culinary adventure at The Sandwich Odyssey, where savory wraps and hearty sandwiches reign supreme. From the mouthwatering Chicken Parmesan to the iconic Philly Stack and the robust Bellingham Buster, this spot has something for everyone. Despite its small parking lot often filled with service vans and police vehicles, don’t let that deter you; they’re all there for the same delicious experience! With fast and friendly service, it’s easy to see why locals love this hidden gem.
Pricey but delicious. The sauce on the southwest stack is so good. I got chicken but the vegetarian garden option with eggplant is also nice.

Awesome sandwich shop with a fantastic menu, great prices, ample portions and a cute atmosphere. We had the slow roasted BBQ special and it was fabulous. Can't wait to come back and try more!!

Sandwich Odyssey is a classic and such a slept on spot. Great menu of soups and sandwiches; all delicious and one of the best bang for your buck spots in my opinion! Great spot with reasonable prices for the amount of food you get and it just tastes amazing. Love that they’re easy to dine-in and take to-go when you order and that they’re so easy to access in town! Our Menu Faves Include: Roasted Turkey Deli Sandwich, Philly Steak Sandwich, Vegetarian Deli Sandwich

The food is awesome! Subs but they are on point! Pay attention to how the subs come, they will make them any way you want! Bought 6 subs… not one bite left! Small parking. Had the French dip! Delicious!!!!

Ordered the special chicken bacon ranch on a hoagie with clam chowder ($3 upgrade). I realized I got the wrong order and had to go back. The clam chowder was delicious. The sandwich on the other hand was not worth the price ($16.95). I got 3 pieces of sliced, chewy chicken and 2 strips of bacon, 3 slices of tomato and a ton of lettuce. Half the sandwich was just lettuce. I ended up eating a quarter and going to get tacos.

Everything was better than we imagined. Local ciders, beers and kombucha. I got turkey bacon avacado and my wife got chicken ranch sandwich. Superb!

Dumpling restaurant
Restaurant
Pel'meni Restaurant is a cozy and retro Russian dumpling joint located in Bellingham, popular among students and late-night diners. The restaurant offers a simple menu featuring meat or potato dumplings served with generous portions of sour cream, hot sauce, and vinegar. Each order consists of 15-20 bite-sized dumplings, perfect for sharing at the table. The casual atmosphere and affordable prices make it an ideal spot for a warm and budget-friendly meal after enjoying Bellingham's nightlife.
I heard they had great dumplings and I have to agree. Although I have little experience with dumplings, I found both the potato and beef to be very satisfying, especially with the added hot sauce. Pel’meni provides a quick meal that is affordable along with friendly service. It’s truly a unique experience and another place that makes Bellingham special.
Steve E — Google review
The restaurant was small and had little seating for how popular it is. The line was short, but the experience was large. The food is small, little meat chucks wrapped in dough that seems to be boiled. It was delicious regardless and has a bit of a kick served with sour cream and half a bread slice. I wish I had ordered more.
Jovanny C — Google review
Lovely little place downtown Bellingham. Was recommended from a friend and was surprisingly delighted with how great these dumplings were. Serving sizes are small but it's fully justified. Definitely recommend trying this place out.
Ahadi — Google review
I've only ever had Pelmeni one time at a food cart in Portland. This place blew them out of the water! Delicious, tender, flavorful! The beef Pelmeni and the potato Pelmeni were both delicious and very different from each other. I have to recommend both! The prices are reasonable too. To get full off $9 is rare these days. Staff were sweet and I love that they are open late. Not a lot of late night options here and usually anything open late night is a crappy fast food chain. This will definitely be my go to late night spot!
Denycia H — Google review
This is a unique place for sure. The food IMO is a great value. Portion is exactly the right size and for $9 and you get to stuff your belly and go home happy. The restaurant itself is also quite the vibe. Super warm and humid but in a lively way. If I had to be critical of something, I will say the following: I have bought lots of pelmeni throughout my life and I have never seen this small of a dumpling size before. I’m not sure what the logic or reasoning is for it. It’s not a big deal because the portion itself is quite large (you get 18 of them), but it is rather bizarre to see such an uncharacteristically small dumpling.
Miklos S — Google review
Limited options but both styles were tasty and fairly priced. You can see the simmering pots steaming from the road.
Wannabe W — Google review
There is no menu. There's just two three choices: beef, potato or a mix. Can't go wrong with any one. The dumplings are pretty tasty and served with big dollops of sour cream. I like it! The building is pretty cool too. Long and narrow and blue.
S T — Google review
It was one of the best dumpling places I've ever eaten at and it's nice cuz it's open til 230 am every night and they only have two things on their menu potato dumplings and beef dumplings or both kinds together but you have to get the one with both early cuz they don't serve that one after 10:00 p.m.

Great beer, service and atmosphere. My wife and I stopped in for some craft beer and were able to have good conversations with the staff and some regulars. We even went to their second location down the road and had some smash burgers. We will be back again
Jason W — Google review
Interesting experience there. Started out great with friendly knowledgeable service. I did end up buying a hat, ordered my 3rd beer within 2.5 hours and sat at the end of the bar with some “locals” to understand the vibe of the place and neighborhood. Great and robust conversations. One of the guys on the “other end” closer to the wall was more animated and vocal. Apparently he rubbed one of the two bartenders the wrong way. She motioned to her coworker and gave him the “not anymore” gesture and left. I went to order another beer and was told “sorry my teammate said you’re cut off” The retired grandpa next to me said, “why? What the hell?” Once the other guy started being rambunctious I told the bar tender, call your co worker and legit ask if it was me or the other guy. Here’s the kicker, we’re both on the same shade of color and I’m willing to bet my life the poor soul left to bartend couldn’t tell the difference between us. WOW. Am I in a red state where all colored people look the same? I bit my tongue, paid for my 3 beers plus a hat mind you, and bid them farewell. When you’re in a community that advocates for <all> this is a gross example of how we still need to work at being better. 2 stars because your beer is great. I really hope someone contacts me about my experience.

Kulshan Sunnyland was one of the first breweries I discovered in Bellingham. It's the perfect spot to experience Bellingham's small-town charm and craft brewery scene. I loved the cozy tasting room with historic Bellingham photos and an awesome old beer can collection. You'll enjoy the view into their small-batch brewery and tasty beers with fun names like Kitten Mittens, Super Seniors, and Party in the Woods. They also have a wonderful outdoor seating area where you'll always find a food truck. If you love beer, you've got to make a stop here.

Typically a decent spot, but very disappointed to be around multiple regulars & the staff themselves boasting & applauding Charlie Kirks shooter for his 180-240yard shot. The atmosphere was quite foul & morals/humanity left the establishment- No desire to go back to a place that celebrates death.
Josh W — Google review
Great beers, of course, but the vibe here is super chill and great for small groups.
Chris B — Google review
Great beer, comfortable setting, friendly service. I had a sampler flight, and really enjoyed nearly all of the beers I tried. The Dry Stout was super smooth and rich with flavor, the Saison was pleasantly citrusy, the Vienna Lager was balanced and very drinkable, the Irish Red was pretty much exactly what I expect in a red, the wit was also very refreshing and light, and the wheat shandy was dangerously easy to drink...a pitcher of it on a summer afternoon would be heavenly. We enjoyed the spacious patio in the shade of an umbrella. A bbq food truck was also on site providing items to munch on. The brewery is very inviting and relaxed.

Structures Brewing is a popular spot known for its innovative beer selection and plans to open a second location soon. The brewery offers unique brews like the Strawberry Banana Smoothie Beer and West Coast DIPA. Housed in what seems to be an old mechanics garage, the place exudes a classic rock/punk/metal vibe. The limited but high-quality craft beer menu includes options such as hazy IPA, BA stout with chocolate cake notes, and crisp clean Kolsch.
Their beer is amazing and more European as is my preference. Will update after I have an ice cream sandwich! In the interim, it is beautifully child free here this evening, although I do see, they have a kid friendly option on the menu. Anyway, I'm not listening to screaming toddlers here tonight anymore, and that's a fabulous plus in my book, and the bartender is wonderful out here at the bar! And they have very lovely outdoor seating, which is a huge plus. They do seem to be dog friendly as I've seen a couple of dogs around, and I love that too! I would definitely come back here and at least enjoy a beer or two, even though I can't speak to the food. But I am glad that they have food. Because for me, that's a must in a brewery, or any kind of bar OK edit to say its not an ice cream sandwich, its apparently 2 cookies filled with icing I think? Anyway, I got the key lime pie and it is superb!

Stopped in last Sunday on our Beercation. Arrived late morning so there were several people on the patio but we had the tap room to ourselves as friendly Lindsey guided us through the tap list. Lindsay was also very helpful when I pulled out my local breweries list and asked her thoughts on any of them? She started pointing around at how close a few were and we could see Bellingham Cider from our seats. Unfortunately we were hitting several breweries after our visit so I ordered a delicious Czech Dark Lager instead of the delicious sounding 8.5% No Sleep Lindsey raved about. Beautiful tap room, garage doors open and great views! Free street parking was close and easy. When discussing my brewery list w Lindsay she said their other location was the original and it's where the brewing is done. Thanks Structures for a delicious beer and thanks Lindsey for the friendly banter and useful information.

I ordered the double burger and it was great. The house hot sauce is phenomenal, and the house chips are crunchy and damn good. Bonus points for having vegan options! The ambiance is scintillating with lights shimmering against the water. The service stood out above everything else. Our server Bailey kindly and competently accommodated my life-threatening food allergies, and was overall an outstanding server who made my night. Thanks so much, Bailey!!

The atmosphere was great, the burger was even better and Charlotte was an absolute Superstar with the service she rendered! This is a great, relaxing place to take in the beautiful Pacific Northwest weather, eat some great food and got some great service from people who take their job seriously. Highly recommend stopping and seeing Charlotte at Structures Brewing! She even gave this ole' country boy from the Midwest some advice about the best place to take a relaxing drive and enjoy the sunset along the coast! Oh, and the beer was phenominal (which they brew themselves at a separate location). Stop in, see them and ask for Charlotte!

Lovely hotel that accommodated our dog too with nice amenities for her. The staff was kind and helped us with any questions we had. The room was well-appointed, if slightly dated, and the only improvement could be made in the mini bar offerings for more variety of snacks. The breakfast menu at the restaurant is also limited but sufficient. We asked for the bill to be emailed to us but have not yet received it. The view and balcony was second to none. Highly recommend!

It is always a pleasure staying here. The location is great with views of water and mountains. The rooms are very nice. If you want an exceptional stay, try the Lighthouse Suite. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and go out of their way to ensure your stay is pleasant. The dining is delightful.

Great location and a nice staff, but the Executive Plaza Guest Room did not live up to its description. The hotel site says that it 'features a view of Tom Glenn Plaza with its shops and restaurants'. Our first floor room had a dingy patio that looked through the trees at a driveway and a parking lot. Not worth the price, IMO. Also, as large as the room is, it would have been nice to have at least two lounge chairs and/or a sofa to sit on. There was a large sitting area with only one comfortable chair.
Robert ( — Google review
Elegant. Home Away from Home. Inviting. What a gem. I don’t think we ever asked a question where we didn’t hear back, “yes” or “absolutely”. Some places try to have great customer service and for others, like Bellwether, it’s in their DNA. The Deluxe Bayview room is gigantic. The couch was already folded out on arrival for my 4 year old. The kitchenette was large enough to put our pack-n-play for our 2 year old. We ate dinner and breakfast at Bellwether and both were exceptional. I’m honestly surprised this isn’t a local, favorite breakfast spot - what a killer breakfast menu. The parking garage makes your life easy. Your room key gets you in and the parking garage elevator takes you to your room floor. Bellwether is your spot whether it’s a family vacation or romantic get away for 2. Christine & the front desk staff are 👌 We will be back!

We loved the spaciousness of our room and patio. The patio viewed out to the parking lot, so didn’t hang out there much. However, the bar patio was a a perfect place to hang-out!!! The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The Housekeeping visited our room each day which was very nice. We had a great HH watching the Mariner’s. My husband and I shared a breakfast steak scramble and they were thoughtful to split the dish in half, so that we each had our own plate. The free parking was a bonus. The views and the walks were fabulous. We will be happy to come back again!!

Banter, formerly known as ANMLY, is a trendy and eco-friendly eatery in Bellingham. It offers a mix of cafe, coffee shop, and cocktail bar experiences. The cozy interior features stylish decor with a hip mural, plants, and ambient music. While it may look like a typical coffee shop from the outside, Banter surprises visitors with its reputation for serving delicious cocktails and small plates. The menu includes health-conscious seasonal American cuisine at affordable prices.
Amazing little stop on my way home from Vancouver. Busy spot! But the servers were kind and aware. Made sure we felt seen even during our wait to order. The food was absolutely delicious. Came out quickly despite being busy, very flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. The fresh dill and free sauce in the chef special was to die for. And how the burrito was layered with the egg and the added pickled peppers are not to be missed. The coffee was also very balanced and well prepared. Great job!

It was our first time & I’m really happy we got there early. You order at the counter, they give you a number & then you go find a seat, lucky for us there were a couple available. The Ube London Fog was excellent & my fiancé enjoyed his cold brew. Took a little while to get our food but it was worth the wait. It got really busy while we were waiting.

We came here as a treat for breakfast after camping - so glad we did! The food was incredible (more on that later), the Banter crew was super nice, and the decor brought the best vibes. I can’t speak to the drinks because I just rehydrated after hiking with lots of water 😅. Okay, back to the food. Umm best avocado toast I’ve ever had. It was so flavorful, textures were perfect, visually beautiful - and I felt so healthy eating it with all of the veggies. I added a poached egg and 10/10 recommend. 🙌 We will definitely be back whenever we’re in Bellingham.

We walked up at 1pm a a Saturday. The line was almost out the door. I was worried we wouldn’t get a table, but they kept the whole place running smoothly. You don’t get a table until they assign you one when you order at the counter. I think we only waited maybe 15 minutes. Every person working was hustling, but with a smile. our cocktails were delicious and came right out! I got the lavender French 75 and my husband got some sort of a Matcha whiskey sour. it came out pretty fast as well! I got a sesame miso bowl. Fantastic! I am vegan and my family is vegetarian. And everything on the menu was labeled quite clearly. My husband loved his burrito! And we all enjoyed the tater tots!

If you want breakfast or lunch in Bellingham, this is the place! Amazing food, coffee, and atmosphere. Banter is warm, welcoming, and the staff genuinely seem to love being there. You can feel the good vibes as soon as you walk in. If I could give Banter more than 5 stars, I would. The avocado toast is killer, the bacon is worth getting every. single. time. The coffee is top tier, plus it has one of the best breakfast burritos in the PNW 🤫
