I LOVE THIS PLACE! My friends and I stopped here this morning on our way into Duluth and I’m so glad we did. The atmosphere was perfect, although it was super busy when we arrived , we were able to get seated fairly quickly! The cleanliness of the restaurant was a HUGE plus , each and every staff member/waiter was so welcoming! To top it off the food was incredible! The Barbacoa has was filled with so much flavor! Can’t say enough about it 🤍 also the farmers eggs was the perfect breakfast for my morning! 10 out of five stars! ⭐️ best part about it is breakfast and LUNCH served all day!! Plates were all beautifully presented!

Duluth Grill is a great place to grab some breakfast. They have a nice sized menu with takes on classics as well as some of their own special dishes. They even make most things on their menu from scratch even down things like their ketchup and lemonade. We tried quite a few things, and while the cinnamon roll was on the sweeter side it was still moist and fluffy. Everything else we have was very very fresh and not greasy at all. The main thing to note is the wait times. On average you may wait anywhere from 30mins to over an hour for a table depending on party size and where you want to sit. Definitely a must stop for anyone in Duluth looking for a good breakfast.

The Duluth Grill was worth the 40 minute wait! I would definitely plan ahead if you want to eat her during peak hours. We had a party of five and we all had something different. Everybody raved about their food. Service was outstanding too! The standouts were the barbacoa hash and the brussel sprouts.

While it’s quite busy on the weekends, it’s worth it. Great food with local Minnesota North woods flair. There is also a fantastic tea bar with specialty drinks. I return here whenever I’m in the area and I’ve never been disappointed. Great skillets, hash, and burritos (the Billy Bob is out of this world) for breakfast and brunch.

Lines are long but it is very easy to see why. The food is fantastic, easily the best chicken sandwich of my life. The server (Vera I think) was absolutely fantastic and was extremely careful with allergies. Cannot recommend enough!

Everything here was amazing! Good service, food and drinks came out quickly, and everything tasted great! If you come on the weekend be prepared to wait for a table, but they do have counter seats readily available.

Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025; 11:45a (Veteran's Day) The restaurant was treating all Vets to a free meal... simply fantastic! On order was the French Toast and 'Everything' skillet... the holendaise was superb on the skillet as were all the ingredients, fresh, tasty and not too much sodium. The French toast was beautifully plated and scrumptious! Service was above and beyond. The menu has been reduced but most of the favorites remain. Patience is a virtue while restaurants navigate finnicky patrons.

The food was delicious and the service good. The view is usually spectacular. I would have given 5 stars, but the last two times we've gone they've been out of the gnocchi, which is what I planned to order. I would highly recommend the gnocchi and beef tips (if you're lucky), or sub for the shells with San Marzano sauce and beef tips (close second). My husband loves the carbonera. Will be back, but will probably call head, even with reservations. Fingers crossed I can get the Gnocchi the next time we go!

10/10 highly recommend. The BEST Italian I’ve ever had except for the food I ate while traveling in Italy. Absolutely delicious food, great service, and stunning views. Don’t forget a scoop of gelato to go. I would go out of my way to eat here again and again! Be sure to plan your visit in advance, a reservation is likely needed - especially if you want to sit in the lofted area overlooking Lake Superior.

We were recommended by several people in Duluth to try Va Bene, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. To start, the host could have been more attentive. I understand they were very busy and I appreciated being seated as a walk-in, but when I arrived, I stood waiting for a couple of minutes. Another customer came in after me, and the host helped her first before finally noticing me. We were seated at The Grotto, the downstairs patio overlooking the lake, and were told we could only stay for about an hour. For drinks, we ordered a black coffee, which was warm and not good, and a Purple Rain (lemonade with lavender syrup), which was average. The food took over 30 minutes to arrive. We ordered the Pasta Alla Zucca Violina (butternut squash with creamy pecan sauce) and the Spicy Erbe with sausage. The sausage was the only ingredient we enjoyed. The squash pasta was undercooked—far too hard, leaving my jaw tired from chewing—and the sauce was overly sweet. The Spicy Erbe was okay, but again the pasta was chewy, which ruined the dish overall. In short, it was one of the worst Italian meals I’ve had, and though the view was nice, the food and service did not live up to the recommendations.

My husband and I were visiting Duluth for some downtime together after me having multiple surgeries over the course of 5 weeks. We did not make reservations but they were more than willing to accommodate us for lunch. We got to sit out on their little closed in patio and look out over the lake. The food was freshly made, hot and delicious. Our waiter was top notch and was very attentive while we were there. It's in a good location and we will definitely visit again when we come back.

Va Bene has a beautiful lakeside setting and a menu with both hits and misses. The burrata with tomatoes, pesto, and focaccia was excellent, the pesto especially stood out. The Noce e Pera pasta with candied pear, walnuts, and gorgonzola sauce was also delicious and well-balanced. The meatballs, however, were disappointing…small, dry, and lacking flavor. The Preferito della Casa pasta was also underwhelming, with chewy chicken, overcooked noodles, and a balsamic sauce that overpowered the dish. Service was a little slow but staff were pleasant, but overall the food felt inconsistent.

Va Bene is absolutely incredible!! Will was are server & he was on top of his game the hole time, food was amazing atmosphere incredible, we sat in the solarium amazing venue & the veiw was amazing looking over Lake Superior, we will be back, bring you empty tummy & fillip on the absolutely amazing food & drink.

Noah was our server and he was very friendly and professional! The enclosed deck was very cozy with an amazing view. The food was delicious and the gelato is worth getting multiple scoops

The Cajan Finn is hands down my favorite fish sandwich! Wow was I blown away by flavors that are incorporated into this masterpiece. It’s worth the money. Friendly staff and short wait time. This sandwich leaves you satisfied.

There is a line at all hours for a reason. The food is unreal and vibe is immaculate. Everyone who works there actually cares in some fashion about the place and the product. Pick something up from the deli or the merch wall before you go. Employees for the most part are the artists behind the many items for purchase. Get the Cajun Finn. And the hoodie. Perfection.

Food was amazing and decor was so cool with the fish on the walls. Not the easiest for handicap customers very confusing trying to get to bottom floor. Employee that was taking orders was unfriendly and not the most helpful for a first time customer. Seen this location all over TikTok that it was The Place to go. I had "The Big Dipper" had it with the porketta it was a great sandwich but the 3 Pepper Sauce was ICE cold which was a little disappointing I don't think its supposed to be served like that ... It would been a 10/10 with the sauce warm. With how high our lunch was my overall rating is 7.5/10.

Seriously tasty. I don’t know if I’ve had a more flavorful sandwich ever! Such a cool place, perfect amount of offerings. Everything they have is intentionally curated. Good luck trying to choose! Awesome location, although the parking situation isn’t great. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re in Duluth!

Put in an order in advance (checked around noon - 1:30 and 1:30 were fully booked but managed to get a mid week 2 PM order in, it worked out since we were at Jay Cooke and by the time we drove into Duluth and enjoyed the lake walk area, our sandwiches were ready for us at the pickup counter, no wait). Delicious Cajun Finn - a perfect sandwich!! We also enjoyed the Italiansk though we found it to be actually more delicious the next day when the bread had softened with the oil and vinegar. The restaurant and market are in the basement of the building - head down the stairs and follow the clear arrow signage. There was a good amount of seating down there in addition to the outdoor tables.

Definitely a must stop when down in the canal center. Plenty of sandwiches to choose from and a few beers on tap and in cans. There's a counter in the back selling smoked meats and fish. Everything I got was so good!

Enjoyed my first smoked salmon cheddar melt and walked away with a boatload of beautifully smoked meats and fish - salmon candy and bison pastrami. Perfect stop when in the area!

Excellent food. Burgers cooked to perfection. I do not like an under cooked burger, it had a little pink which I was fine with. The hand cut fries were very good. I loved all the history on the walls in the bar. You could spend days just looking at all of it. The server was extremely polite and nice. I recommend everyone stop by to eat a burger there. I got the California, daughter swears by the cream cheese jalapeño burger. Remember cash only.

They do burgers, so don’t plan on getting apps or desserts. But they do burgers well! They do also have grilled ham and cheeses. Large selection of beer. They don’t accept credit cards but does have an ATM instead. The burger was well seasoned. Fries were good. Meal came with about 4 pickles, I would have liked about 8 more but that’s just me 🥲🥲 overall, good vibes. Bathroom is pretty small and only one stall. Overall, I would recommend and I would go back.

Always a great time here. Great food and even better service. Our server chatted and laughed with us as she took our order. We got our food super quick. We came on a Sunday pretty late and it was nice becuase it wasn't packed! Every other time we have had to wait a few minutes before a table would be available. Has nice out door seating and very interesting and entertaining decor. It is cash only!

Now I understand why people recommend the anchor bar. Food was fantastic and the price was less then expected. I had the gally buster which is a cheese burger with three 1/3 pound patties. Fries are cut to order. Highly recommend a stop here

Overall a really nice unique stop. The environment and ambiance of the entire restaurant is amazing and has a cool rustic maritime feel to it and I loved the lighting though out. The food was just okay I got the cashew Swiss burger and it was just a burger nothing special and was lacking in flavor, three stars because the fries are outstanding. The bathrooms were gross and really needed a DEEP cleaning at the very minimum.

It was very interesting! The reason that I felt I needed to go is that I read a book by a Minnesota author (Brian Freeman)and the murderer was in that bar. Best burger ever! Best fries ever! Great prices! I will most definitely be back!

A True Local Happy Place. Lots of locals hangout for food and drinks. Food: They serve The Crispiest Wings. The fries, however need some kind attention, those were over fried and have no taste. Cole slaw is tasty. Must Try: The crispy wings. Highly Recomended !

Ok, so this is 2 different review ratings. Take into consideration we arrived just after a huge rush (possibly bus) of people. We sat at the end of the bar in front of the glass wash station. Our waitress was pleasant despite. She checked in with us a few times during our meal. The prices are comperable to other similar establishments but I feel the portions here make it one step above. The wings are the huge sized wings if you like those. The curly fries (for the 2nd time) were overcooked and crunchy. They have 1919 root beer on it's own tap! It was fun to just look around at the decor and play "I Spy". The restrooms were pleasant. Now, the part I hope the owner reads. There was a busboy, whom I feel may be family, "working" there. I surmised this because if I were one of those waitresses, I'd have had some WORDS long ago. I can honestly say this young man is probably costing you way more money than having him there, unless your sole reason is to keep him out of trouble...even so. He was very obviously working harder at not working than actually doing so. I feel like this is a very common example of our youth as a whole right now. He literally, for our ENTIRE stay (which took double the time as any usual meal does due to the kitchen being so slow) basically shuffled in front of us getting in the way of every waitress trying to do their job. He opened the coolers repeatedly turning labels, looking like he was checking stock, etc. I'm certain the bottles ended up being 4 degrees warmer, especially when he left the doors cracked open. Waitresses were carrying LOADS of dishes to the back and only occasionally, when he noticed, would he go back to the kitchen only to emerge right back in front of us. He seemed to like washing glasses though. Just one or two he'd slowly concentrate on them spending as much time as possible. Nothing like someone's face constantly inches from your food. Another time after coming from the back, he switched the big screen from football to car racing, which was also on the smaller TV. People were mildly watching the game. They had to ask a waitress to switch it back. When we were finished with our meals, we neatly stacked the tray/basket/silverware with the napkins on top, clearly indicating they were ready to be taken, at the edge of the bar, pretty much right under his nose as he washed glasses. Nope, the lightbulb didn't go on. A waitress came and took mine away. My Mom finished hers later and did the same. Still he didn't get a clue. I could see the frustration on the other's faces. I was exhausted just watching him do absolutely nothing. PLEASE teach this young man manners, consideration, work ethic, and teamwork. If he plans to go into management of any kind, nevermind, carry on. At the very least, find someplace else for him to be and alleviate the frustration for those employees who ARE trying to do their jobs. On the flip side, if I were to give the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he was doing his intended job of monitoring other employees to ensure everything is on the up and up and to report back. In any case, this seems to be going more into a rant than a review of the establishment. Love Gronk's in general and look forward for an opportunity to stop in when I'm in town. Don't miss out!

We were vacationing in Superior and drove by Gronks. Thought it looked like a fun place. Stopped and ordered cheese curds and boneless wings. So good! It is a fun place. Stopped by again a few days later for Happy Hour. We got a kick out of the 'message' they put in the bottom of each beer!

Oh my, what a place. It's exactly as advertised. Great food, good atmosphere, and decent service. 4.5 stars. They have a couple food challenges if you like to eat 3-8 lbs. of burger.

We had the Wednesday special prime rib sandwich basket. To go we were staying at the hotel next door. Fries were soggy and under cooked 😔 but worst of all the prime rib sandwich was dry dry dry hard as leather. Gross 🤢 the bun was good though. And the coleslaw. Lol it was in a condiment container the size of a shot glass. Two tablespoons. Wow did I even taste it. I know it's bar food . But they changed like it was a fancy sit down restaurant. It was 4 in the afternoon on a Wednesday not bizy but loud with kids playing. The table we sat at to wait for our order was sticky. and there was several flies bugging us. like you couldn't even get rid of them landing on your face and everything. Also the kid that took care of my bill had to ask for help figuring out how much change to give back to me as I paid with cash🤷

Great place to eat, meet people and enjoy life. The owner made us feel at home like we were life time friends and his beautiful daughter is someone I'll always hold special in my heart. Still have the beer glass she gave me.

Love Creamery is a must-visit for ice cream lovers. They have an incredible variety of unique flavors, the Goat Cheese Honeycomb is a standout, perfectly creamy with sweet crunch, and the Salted Chocolate Brownie is just as amazing. They also offer plenty of vegan ice cream options with vegan toppings, plus homemade waffle cones and even ice cream flights, which are a fun way to sample it all. The shop itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t be nicer. A Duluth gem that combines creativity, quality, and great service.

We waited in line for a while, but once we reached the counter, it was nice to see that they offered samples of their flavors. They don't have the usual options like plain strawberry, chocolate, or vanilla, but the flavors they do have are really tasty. I ordered two scoops of the apple crisp, and I have to admit we couldn't resist and started eating before snapping a picture. It was delicious, and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in town. The customer service was great too. There was a gal working there in a red shirt who wasn't even the one helping us, yet she still took the time to talk and ask where we were visiting from. I also really liked the décor; it added to the overall experience.

So insanely good - highly recommend getting a flight. Easy to share between two or three people. We got a flight with: * Salted Caramel (gf) and fall 2025 seasonal flavors: * London Fog (gf) * Chokeberry Chip (gf) * Cinnamon Snickerdoodle (gf) * Apple Crisp (gf) * Goatcheese Honeycomb (gf) Our favorite was the goat cheese honeycomb hands down (sweet but a lil savory) So insanely tasty! Second fav was London Fog which tasted JUST LIKE the drink! All the other flavors were good too, just hqrd to compete with how exceptional those two were. Staff were efficient and professional - line moves quicker than you’d think!

Flavors and textures. Can't complain. Salted caramel and dark chocolate would be my top 2 out of the 6 I had. Ordering the flight, i expected a sampler portion. And not a feast 😅. Also when they say you can sample to pick your flavors. They are not kidding. They will let you try them all if you must. (Be warned)🤣

Friendly. First time visit to this location in Duluth. Late night snack. Didn’t realize they closed at 9pm. Staff gave no indication it was closing time which was very nice. My waffle cone had chocolate at the bottom which is a great bonus. Enjoyed the Butter Toffee and a scoop of Pistachio.

What a wonderful, unexpected find! The shop is adorable with indoor and outdoor seating. or take your delicious treat and stroll 2 blocks to Lake Superior! The flavors were inventive and each was more delicious than the last! The service was fast and the staff was cheerful. if you love ice cream at ALL you need to try this!

This ice cream shop produces its namesake. You'll love their ice cream. The prices are reasonable and the flavors are great. This is my go to in Duluth.

Just had the BEST Q outside of Texas! Beginning with the complimentary fried rinds and an explanation of the various sauces, every item was prepared with perfection! Our server, Sarah was exemplary! Husband had brisket and ribs. Tender and flavorful. I had the burrito bowl and I highly recommend it! Sides were tasty blends of complimentary seasoning as well.

Food was excellent! Great taste, flavors we’ve never had before, nice portion sizes. One of the owners, Louie, stopped by our table and we enjoyed hearing a little about his story. He was humble and kind. We received wonderful service and felt well cared for. We would definitely recommend OMC Smokehouse to friends and family and will definitely be back when we are in the area.

My sister and I went to lunch at OMC smokehouse on Friday, September 19, 2025. We were in the area and wanted to get a nice lunch. I read the reviews online and thought this would be a great place. The ambience of the place was great. Our host that seated us was very nice. Our server Sarah was absolutely wonderful. But the food was not so great. I ordered the appetizers - pork belly lettuce wraps and the beef fat fries. My sister ordered the burrito bowl and the barbecue wings appetizer. While the pork belly had a great flavor, it was the consistency of leather. Very dry and chewy. I did not finish eating the appetizer. I did mention this to our server Sarah. The beef, fat fries, while having wonderful flavor, were very limp and soggy. The burrito bowl, while having great flavor, the rice was nothing but mush. Again, the barbecue wings had great flavor, but were a little dry. We only ordered water for our beverages. We did bring home the extra wings and the extra beef fat fries (hoping we could crisp up the fries in an air fryer, but that didn’t work out so well). I guess I expected a bit more for a $80 lunch (not including tip).

This is the place I keep coming back to whenever I visit Duluth. The BEST brisket in Minnesota, it’s so good and tender that it melts in your mouth. The St. Louis style ribs are also the best here. If it’s your first time here, I’d recommend the Smoked OMC Plate, you’d get a bit of each of their best dishes (ribs, brisket, and smoked chicken). Personally, I prefer the ribs and the brisket, so we just get a full order of those. The sides are delicious. The mac and cheese is a must. The candied sweet potato bake was great as well, but it was too sweet to have along with the other dishes - I had it as more of a desert dish. The potato salad was also really good and I recommend, and nothing can go wrong with the corn. Highly recommend OMC Smokehouse!

Amazing food, staff were great, very cool interior and atmosphere. The bar-b-cuban was amazing and suggest trying it. The Louisiana catfish and chips were delicious! All the sauces are great and had to buy some to take home! Love to try old fashions every restaurant I try and theirs is delicious and one the best I've had in a while!

BEST experience, all the way around! Brisket was flavorful and DELICIOUS; dipping sauce options were varied, house-made, and tasty; my dietary-delicate husband was able to get a phenomenal burger on a gluten-free bun; sides were unique and mouthwatering (I tried the hush puppies, pecan-topped sweet potatoes, and my husband's fries); and the drinks were excellent - SO MANY bourbon options! We requested to sit on the patio. It was peaceful and the atmosphere was stellar. I cannot recommend this place enough. If I am ever in Duluth again, I'm going back to try the pulled pork. My only complaint is that it said on the menu that gluten-free buns would not be an additional charge, but they did charge us a few dollars extra for it. I think because we told them not to worry about cross-contamination? Lucky for them, everything else was 6/5 stars.

Had the chance to head to OMC with a friend last night. We were greeted by the friendly hostess who complimented my 2 piece outfit. (Thank you, love!) We were seated quickly indoors around 6 pm on a Thursday evening and got a lovely server who was very attentive all evening. The atmosphere was nice and not too loud even though it was fairly busy. Our drinks and food came out fast. We ordered 3 dishes to split. Nashville hot chicken sandwich w/ beef fat fries: the fries were a 10/10! Flavor was amazing. Excellent crunch with a nice soft inside. Could have eaten a million of these fries. Sandwich was 5/10. Wasn’t super flavorful, bun was a little burnt, chicken wasn’t super juicy. I would recommend their sister company Chicken n What for a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich instead. 3 smoked wings with dry rub with ranch and bleu cheese: 10/10 SO GOOD. Crispy on the outside. Soooo juicy on the inside. Dry rub was delicious. Ranch and bleu cheese were both amazing! Sweet Chili Crispy Chicken Wrap w/ Mac n Cheese: wrap was 8/10 great flavor. The pickled jalapeno packed a ridiculous spicy punch that we were not expecting. It was good but woooo chile, it was a kick in the tastebuds. So be prepared. Mac n cheese…2/10. Pasta was cooked well, but the Mac and cheese just lacked flavor and depth. I’m not even sure my kids would have ate it. The cheese they sprinkled on top wasn’t even melted. Overall a good experience here! Will definitely come back for wings and to check out the outdoor seating when the air quality is better. Loved that they had a fire pit out there. They also do not serve THC beverages which is a total bummer, but Legacy Cannabis is right across the street!

The food was good however not spectacular. I had the red snapper ceviche and the pork belly sandwich for dinner with a black sesame cheesecake for dessert. The sandwhich was amazing but the fries were plain.The ceviche was watery (if that makes sense) but still good, and the cheese cake was average. The wait staff was incredible however and I would definitely go back.

This place was excellent! It’s a little hidden and you have to go through the market entrance. The salmon was great and I think the portion was perfect for me. I also got the carrot cake for dessert and it was super rich and dense. Super delicious spot for dinner!

I've not left a restaurant with such a deep understanding of its city like I have with Lake Avenue. Duluth's urban renewal is charming in the same way a childrens' soccer match is, in that there is an earnest attempt regardless of the result. The same cannot be said about Lake Avenue. A rotating menu will always be bold, and I would have commended them for this had the execution not been so poor. In the images I've included, you'll see the Tofu Masala ($24), the Mac and Cheese ($20), and the Steak Dinner ($53). While I cannot be certain which ingredients were used to push these dishes to such a steep price, I know salt was not one of them. The keen-eyed gourmet will undoubtedly spot the great unifying force of the culinary world, fresno chili and pickled red onion. The unnecessary inclusion of these in both the Tofu Masala and the Steak Dinner unfortunately speaks truth to Lake Avenue's attempt at being something it is not - a restaurant worthy of its prices. Neither the Steak nor Tofu Masala benefit from these flavors, but if your menu is on rotation and you lack the culinary experience to accommodate this, it does provide a universal shock to the palette that might distract your guests from the dish's lack of cohesion. In other circumstances, I would not be so harsh, but the $120 (pre-tip) bill my partner and I paid makes that irresponsible. This is Duluth, Minnesota; leave Lake Avenue, walk 20 seconds in any direction and you'll wind up in a T-Shirt shop or a Bar & Grill. Lake Avenue is not fighting the expectations of its patrons, but the ones that it sets upon itself. Find what works and do it well. No one is asking for anything else.

Our visit to Lake Avenue Restaurant & Bar was truly enjoyable. We stopped by during a quiet period, so we were seated right away. One of the owners, who was both friendly and attentive, looked after us. We tried the Biscuits and Gravy (without the chili oil) and the Carrot Cake French Toast—both dishes were outstanding and unlike anything we'd tasted before. We're certain we'll return in the future.

Very nice setting, the atmosphere was wonderful. The food was great, and the drinks were also amazing. I highly recommend the Hurricane. Rio was our server and he was very polite and had a good sense of humor. I will be coming back here in the future.

Visited there the first time today. The hostess greeted us warmly and had a nice welcoming personality. Our server Maria was very nice and pleasant and answered our questions. The food..holy cow. We had the steak tartare, mussel pasta and the steak. Everything was outstanding! We will definitely be back!

What a chef! Some of the most flavorful food I've had in my life, and that is no exaggeration. I can be a harsh critic, and this food was phenomenal. Definitely a bit spendy, and the portion sizes are smaller than you typically see at restaurants, but you aren't paying for the amount of food. You're paying for the quality and flavor. I will absolutely be coming back. We spent about $150 for one appetizer, two entrees, and a few drinks. We had a reservation, which I would recommend since it's not a very large restaurant. Wait staff were very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was top tier. 10/10 experience. Thank you Lake Avenue!

The food was very good and different options from most places. Some vegetarian options and good salads. It was busy but the wait wasn't bad. Prices were reasonable. We walked there so can't say anything about parking.

Love having an easy vegan option by adding vegan cheese to any pizza (and removing toppings or doing BYO). Very small place so keep in mind that it is pretty crowded, but service was friendly and faster than expected with the crowd size at lunch time.

Super rad place!! The guy that took our order recommended the Tomasso pizza!!! Wow it was superb !! Absolutely did not disappoint. Thank you so much For being kind and hospitable! Visiting from out of town it’s always a coin toss where to go. This was a win !

Wonderful service, cheesy bread was absolutely insane! The drinks are a special selection from the Minnesota area! The staff was very helpful, prompt, and helped significantly! Vita pizza on central does an amazing job handling my son’s sever dairy allergy. I talked to the staff and they were knowledgeable on how to prevent cross contact and took a lot of extra care with his pizza. They also have a great online ordering system that is well set up for special orders and allergies. We also just genuinely really love the pizza, wood fire dough and Caesar salad here. In a city that is pretty vegan-friendly, Sir Ben’s vegan Cobb salad is the single best vegan entree in town. Loaded and perfectly balanced, it’s super delicious & satisfying. I’ve already had this entree four times this summer and will continue to return again and again to try and satisfy my cravings for it. While some places just throw a simple vegan entree on the menu, this one is thoughtful and well executed.

During a recent business trip to Duluth, I was in the mood for a good sandwich for dinner and was steered toward Sir Bene’s by the hotel receptionist — and I’m so glad I went! The atmosphere was fantastic, with an impromptu Irish jam session happening that evening. The musicians were excellent and added such a fun, cozy vibe to the place. I ordered the portobello sandwich, which was delicious — hearty and flavorful, and I was that I held the mayo because the sandwich doesn't need it. Although I didn't drink, they have a huge variety of draught beers. Overall, a great experience all around. Highly recommended!

This place was amazing. The food was fantastic and the people were wonderful. Even had live music starting as we were getting ready to head out.

Ate here for the first time on Friday evening. It was bustling and I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside along with the awesome service and food. I ordered the British Dip with aus jus which was juicy, fresh and quite excellent along with a few of the local beers they had on tap. Selection for both sandwiches and beer was plenty, and I'm definitely looking forward to swinging by when I'm up in Duluth again. Keep up the great work!

If you've never had real Vietnamese pho, you'd think this was good. But I have been a pho-natic for years and know what real authentic pho is and how it's made. Comparing this place to a pho place in the cities, this place lacks some things for being an actual pho restaurant such as tripe, star anise, red chili flake oil and Thai basil. The fried items seemed like it was either refried or the frying oil was old or dark and burnt as the wontons were dark and really hard to chew as well as the egg rolls and sesame chicken. The pho broth seemed like it was diluted and bland with lots of onions in it. Also, the portions for $11.95 were smaller than I'd expect. The service was not too bad as most places this day in age are under staffed and our food came out within minutes of ordering. I'd say give this place a try, but it could be much better and more authentic.

It's OK but if you've never had authentic pho, you'd know authentic pho is so much better! I've been a pho-natic for years and have tried many places in the twin cities as well as living with a Vietnamese family. They lacked Vietnamese menu items like Thai basil and tripe. The menu could use a description for what each meal is or has in it. The broth seemed watered down, not very flavorful and full of onions. The portion seemed small for being almost $12, whereas most pho restaurants are only about $9 with a bigger serving and even bigger sizes available. The egg rolls and anything fried seemed hard, dark brown and chewy like it was refried or the fryer oil was old/burnt. The service was ok and friendly but like a lot of places they seemed under staffed. Good ahead and give them a try if you're in the area.

I never tried Vietnamese food before. So we tried a combo with sesame chicken fried rice and a roll. The rice was tasty but the chiken preparation was very sweet, so i didn't like it.

The food was bland, subpar for even cheap Chinese restaurants, the fried rice had no color, the egg roll was disgusting, and the sauce for my main course was advertised to be slightly sweet and spicy…it was neither of those. The fortune cookie was the best thing I ate. The service was arguably worse, 2 people yelling at each other in the kitchen about family drama and going to college. I’m not surprised I was the only one in the restaurant. I will not be back.

Beef and vegetable combo with an egg roll and delicious friend rice. My husband called it special because it was so good. The meat and vegetables were perfectly seasoned. Very big portions. The egg roll was different, it was not filled with shredded veggies as I expected. It was a meaty mixture. Kinda weird. The wontons were crispy and good. We will be back!!

The food was okay. Beef vegetable stir fry was so salty the fried rice coil t even help it. Pho was okay just which they had actual chili oil (spicy kind). Egg rolls were okay not that good and the chicken wings they provide oyster sauce for you to dip in which is super weird but to each their own.

Just was in and I got General Tso’s chicken which was amazing as usual. I didn’t finish my chicken and I got a leftovers box but forgot my chicken in the box at my table. I remember and came back about 5 - 10 minutes later and asked about it. They apologized and said it had been thrown away. I said thank you and was preparing to leave but they said they would give me some fried rice and about 2 minutes later I got a big container of hot fried rice. The staff are so kind and respectful. I love this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

I’ll start with how the food was. The food was amazing, well seasoned with quick service. They were very accommodating of to our diet preference of veganism. Our host was understanding and diligent with his duties. We were asked to sanitize our hands the moment we entered the restaurant. The tables we spaced well to facilitate social distancing. After a table left, the table and chairs were sanitized. When we paid the check, he sanitized my card after. My tip was even sanitized. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food, the service, the sanitization, and safety.

This restaurant offers delicious food. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is comfortable with plenty of seats, even for parties. The food quantity is good. I did not like the proxy meat option though. Loved to be here while visiting Lake Duluth!

Same high quality food ordered cafeteria style. They offer combos with entree + egg roll + fried rice, entrees alone, tea, soda, and other items! Some of our families favorite dishes are; mock duck with vegetables and sweet and sour chicken. How it’s done: Place your order at the front, pay, take a table inside or a bench outside, collect food from front table, enjoy at a table inside or to go! I took pictures after we started enjoying the food so I didn’t capture how neatly the food was assembled to bring to the tables. They provide easy to transport To-Go friendly packaging too. There are tables inside for groups of 2-12 people. Easy, fast, hot, delicious, great portions. Sharing a variety of dishes, we spent ~$10-$12 a person. A great meal out in Canal Park.

The place was good, neat and clean but the food was okay. We order combination plates (Chicken with Lemongrass with Egg-roll) and Chicken wings in special garlic sauce. We were expecting it more spicy than it was served. The chicken wings dish was sweet in taste. The quantity of the food is good based on the price.

This restaurant serves a mixture of both Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine. It is a small and cozy restaurant within the area of Duluth. They have a few tables to accommodate up to 6 people, but they can accommodate for more. The service was above average with no wow factor. As for the food, I had pho and I was fairly disappointed by the small amount of rice noodles I got, the broth tasted all right, but wasn't quite authentic. I left the place with a half-empty stomach.

Loved the appatizer sampler, it was a little oily but definitely enjoyed the variety. Higly recommend to try it considering the price. Some of the dishes like chicken mangolia was a little on the sweeter side. Would have personally preferred it to be spicier. Nice little place with very quick service and good management. Would recommend if you like Chinese or Vietnamese cusine.

Food is 10/10! Played great music, quick service, and delicious food. We had the shrimp tempura, rock shrimp tempura, sweet potato roll, chicken and steak hibachi. The fried rice is so so good! The best I’ve had in a long time. Awesome drink selections including mocktails and THC. The only thing we did not enjoy so much was the ginger dressing on the salad. Otherwise everything was a notch above the competition.

Bountiful plates of food. More edamame than we could handle. Lovely presentation of omakase (white tail, tuna, salmon) and unagi sushi. Offer tasting flights of select sake brands. Fun NA drink options as well.

I had the tonkotsu ramen. It was ok I guess. I was hoping for some big piece of pork on my ramen but it was small.... pretty pricey for the ramen portion I have. Tempura shrimp was good.

One of the good breweries in Duluth. Cozy place in one corner (with a fireplace), outdoor sitting by the patio or at the yard, a live performance stage at the other corner. This place has everything to offer. The beer selection is extensive but I like their unique selection like Oreo stout. Good selection of beer, good choices of food (soup salad and sandwiches). Though price is on the high side, the sandwich portion is gigantic. Almost guarantee taking some left over home. Their skinny French fries is pretty cool. Nice view of the lake as well, top spot by the canal street.

I went here in a Tuesday night in mid June. It was trivia night so it was very busy. I didn’t get my usual brewery. Tap room experience. Definitely didn’t have time to talk to the bartender and get recommendations on beer. I did a flight. The beer was decent. Their beer is fairly well distributed so I’ve had a lot of it before. I sat out on the patio, it’s a great building. Street parking, I’m not sure if there was a private parking lot. I was lucky enough to park right out front. They don’t serve any food, but they partner with several local eateries, and you can get the food delivered there, or you can carry in your own. Merchandise, stickers, I don’t recall they sold beer to go from that location.

Great tasty locally brewed selections. The American lager was light and crisp. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Reggae music featured when we were there. Had food delivered and enjoyed the music, beer and atmosphere.

First time in the tap house. Wide variety of drinks. Beer, seltzer, THC drinks. Atmosphere is welcoming. There is not in house food but they have QR code to get local eats.

We visited on Saturday afternoon. They were busy but we were able to find seats at the bar. The service was good and we ordered flights of beer. I enjoyed the Retro Haze, Bent Hop, Black Ale and Vanilla Bourbon Black Ale. The food truck outside (Bowlz N’ Thangz) was fantastic.

Bent Paddle is the best brewery in Duluth. The beer selection is always fresh with new beers and favorites. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is friendly and cozy. Not sure where to start here, this place was AMAZING! We stopped for lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the not only the VERY reasonable prices but the serving sizes were HUGE! We ordered the Chicken Chow Mein, Beef Chop Suey, General Tso's chicken and Sesame Chicken. The meals were served with egg rolls and wontons. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our server was fun and engaging! If you are looking for a amazing meal and skip this place you are making a huge mistake. The menu is HUGE and they have something for everyone. 4 people eating the total bill was $48.21 and we all are leaving with lots of leftovers. Check this place out

I ordered a to go order of pork fried rice and moo shu pork. The fried rice has nothing in it. Just a few shreds of pork. No onion, no veggies, nothing. Moo shu pork really lacked in flavor and the mandarin pancakes were so dried out they were unusable. Not happy. Always have been before. Bad night. N

We came through on our way home from the Iron Range and we are so glad we did! The lo mein was fantastic, the fried rice, the sesame chicken, the cream cheese puffs - all of it! I especially liked the egg roll! We wish we didn't live 3 hours away because I know this would be my favorite place. The service was wonderful, friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and the ceiling decoration is pretty cool! We will definitely be back when we go up North again!

Oh. My. Goodness! AMAZING 🤩 I ordered the general tso chicken with a medium spice and it was absolutely delicious. I prefer a light breading to my chicken and that’s exactly what it had. And my lo mein noodles!! They weren’t greasy like many lo mein dishes. Not to mention my portion size was bigger than my head.

Came to eat with my family, so we had a large group. The service and food were amazing. I got the Hong Kong Duck, and it was delicious. Our server was very attentive and did an excellent job bringing out everything we requested. The decor is very pretty, and we all had fun talking about our zodiac animals and fortunes.

One of the best options I have found for Chinese food in the twin ports. I don’t think I’ve ever had a mistake on my larger take out orders. Dining in is nice as well, with good atmosphere and service. Prices are really good and the portions are massive. The food can be hit or miss. Sometimes it’s among the best Chinese you ever had, other times it’s just edible. I’ve had far more good experiences here than bad. I always order the hot tea when dining in. And for those who like a lot of extra kick you have to try the spicy mustard!

They have changed their lunch food. It was very disappointing. Now when you get their lunch option the “fried rice” is barely that anymore. It is literally rice with a tiny bit of unseasoned meat and some soy sauce fried in. Their fried rice has always been a favorite. They say the dinner version of rice is the same as always. But why have different fried rice for lunch vs dinner. It makes no sense. Smaller portioning for lunch yes makes sense. But different rice without a mention of that is just sad. Normally there’s eggs and veggies and flavor but not the lunch rice.

Such a cute space with the friendliest service ever! You know you've found a good bar when they have comfy, inviting chairs and well made drinks. Thank you to all the staff who walked around our dog to serve drinks 🤣 lol. She loved laying on the floor next to the bar and getting pets (even though she is side-eying me in the photo). My only recommendation is to make the menu a little more upscale looking instead of beach bar. I think it would fit the vibe inside more.

My wife and I were exploring Duluth and found this Gem! I got a flight, and my wife got a cocktail! Here is how it went... The flight... The Ovrevann Aquavit- Which was smooth and very aromatic The Voyageur Aquavit- Tasted very much like your normal spiced whiskey with a different kick Hay and Sunshine- Warm and smooth, I really enjoyed it! Temperance River Rye Whiskey- Smooth with a nice spice, hard to describe taste, bitter but in a good way! My wife got the "Airplane Mode" - a very tasty, spicy banana, vanilla, sweet cocktail that went over very well! I also wanted to shout out the service, friendly, easy to talk to staff, and the place just felt clean, light, and cozy! Thanks for a great experience!

My family loves to visit Vikre every time we are in Duluth! We love the large drink menu using our favorite base spirits! We always get the snack box too - Perfect pairing! Vikre is our favorite gin and our “house gin” at our home bar.

We have been to several distilleries but never a gin and vodka one. This was an interesting place. We started with sharing 4 tasting samples and liked the strawberry rhubarb gin the best. We also tried two of their specialty drinks, the lavender lemon drop martini and the raspberry whiskey smash. Both were really tasty. Finally, we ordered the Northen waters smokehaus epic snack box. It came with smoked salmon and trout, nordic chips, cheddar cheese chunks, a cheese spread, almonds, olives, pickles, and peppers. It was ok but not worththe moneywe spent on it. Our server was not very attentive, and we had to keep asking others to help us as our table was not in the main room but off to the side with no one else around. We did leave with a bottle of the strawberry rhubarb gin.

Spending a mini-moon here in Duluth and stumbled upon Vikre. It is definitely a must stop if you're looking for a great cocktail and vibe. The snack box was delicious. The Lavender Lemon Drop Martini and Strawberry Rhubarb Gimlet were delicious. Atmosphere is relaxing and service was great. Our Server Raina was the absolute best!

Fantastic distillery with a wide array of options and a fun atmosphere. Lots of great cocktails to choose from, as well as many flexible options for tasting flights - even give you some lime and tonic and soda water in case you want to turn your gin tasters into G & Ts! Fun to try their assortment of gins and aquavits, especially enjoyed their three herbal liquors - smoother takes on Campari, Chartreuse, and Aperol. Update - after only doing a liquor flight during our first visit, had to go back and try some cocktails! Very unique and well-crafted, especially the root beer foam in the Tragedy of Prohibition and the fusion of pineapple, coffee, hazelnut, and lime in the Tropical Goth. Fantastic notes of raspberry in the Last Word as well! Also went for the Frenchie flight - especially liked the blackberry in the Briar and the house apertivo in the Velo.

This is a beautiful stop in Duluth. The decor is classy and relaxing. They have a creative and diverse drink menu, including a nice selection of NA drinks. All their food options are snack sized, but enough for sharing between two people. Their vegan snack box is amazing! The staff was fun and knowledgeable. Lastly, the quality of the products were top shelf and worth the price. Pictured is the vegan snack box, whiskey flight and seltzer flight. I would have taken all their liquor selections home with me if I could, but I could only pick two. The Frenchie seltzer and the Aquavit were my choices, and they did not disappoint.

The atmosphere was actually a little surprising and unexpected. It was very comfortable and private. The waitress was on top of it. This was my first time here and I enjoyed my pepperoni and mushroom pizza in my comfortable booth. Pizza was aight. We finished the entire 14" if that says anything.

I ordered a meat lovers 9 inch. Not bad. Decent crust. Toppings are good quality. Also ordered a flatbread Alfredo. Excellent. Great crisp crust. Also ordered Earth Rider pale ale which is a wonderful product. Complain. They do not take cards. Major problem.

CASH ONLY, First and foremost. Fortunately I had cash, but wanted to use my business credit card. The pizza I ordered was very good. I ordered the Veggie pizza and added Jalapeños and Pepperoni. They were busy and the staff did their best to be quick and efficient. Bar and restaurant, I sat on the bar side which has an up north cabin feel and decor, perfect for this location. Definitely worth recommending to try.

Me and my folks ate here last night and it was the first time that I myself have had food here and WOW. I had a starter salad which was fresh and delicious and included 3 pieces of delicious garlic bread and then the 3 of us enjoyed the Ken's pizza I think it was? The one with all the meat! This was the best pizza I've had in years. There was only one waitress working the dining room floor but she was doing great so please let her know! Can't wait to return!

I had the 7WEST OMG BURGER. It was good burger. The bun was good. I requested the sauce on the side which was good too. I ordered the sweet potato fries with parmesan seasoning. The fries were good but could of been a little more crispy.

This has been my go-to place in Superior since they opened. Best beer selection in town (by far). I don't go there for the burgers, but some people like them. Their tacos are great, they have good apps, and their homemade chips and fresh-cut fries are great and come with a choice of many different seasonings. more photos add Jan 2025.

My family and I were in town vacationing and visiting state parks. We had no idea where to eat and found this place. We absolutely loved it! The burgers were incredible. We also got sweet potato fries which were great. We got an appetizer of pickle fries which were very tasty (never had them cut like fries before). They were training a new employee but were still very attentive to us and got us our free refills without asking and our food was very quick. We will absolutely be back if we’re in Superior again. My daughter asked after how we can find something similar in our hometown. Thanks for a great meal and experience!

Great food and service! We had Titus as our host and were treated well. The food was delicious and so fast, I think they read our minds when we walked in. The Black and Blue Burger was amazing and my son loved the Curd Burger. The fries and rings tasted awesome. Would definitely come back again!

We had the Chicken Fajita Bowl and the Thai Peanut Chicken Rice Bowl for dinner and BOTH were surprisingly fantastic. Definitely not what I'd expect from a Taphouse. Great selection of beers (approx 50 handles) and awesome service. Well worth the visit if you're in the area.

Placed an online order at 6:45pm. When I called immediately after placing my online order to check if it might be ready earlier (even though it said 7:30pm online), the staff said they’d ask the kitchen to get started on it ASAP - we thought that was wonderful service of them so we got to the restaurant at 7:10pm. However, we ended up waiting in the restaurant for 40 minutes, and the food wasn’t ready until 7:50. Staff wasn’t apologetic and came across as extremely dismissive. When we finally got our order, the food was a huge disappointment. The onion rings and fries were so salty they were inedible—and I usually oversalt everything. On top of that, they were an extra charge (not included with the burgers), ridiculously overpriced, and came in tiny portions. We’re only in town for the weekend, and we wasted so much of our limited time waiting for terrible food. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

We recently photographed a wedding here and were incredibly impressed with both the aesthetics and functionality of the venue. It’s spacious yet intimate, making it ideal for both ceremonies and receptions. The layout is flexible, and the lighting—both natural and ambient—is some of the best we’ve seen in an indoor downtown venue. The staff was easy to work with and clearly understands what it takes to host a smooth, memorable event. For couples looking for a venue with personality, history, and plenty of photo-worthy character, the Spirit Room is a fantastic choice.

Would easily be a five star review, but the live music kinda ruined it. This cocktail bar is a gem in an otherwise bar and grill town. Cocktails were unique and really well done with prices far less than what you will find across the bridge. Service was also excellent with bar tenders who are super chill and friendly. The space is super cool and has that classy vibe that you would expect in a high class establishment. We would have stayed longer, but the live music consisted of intrusive cover tunes that belong in a dive bar....completely out of place, but other than that this place is absolutely wonderful:) Definitely headed back on a non music night.

I was there for a wedding reception, the staff I interacted with were nothing but amazing, on top of everything, & when they had a second to spare they come and checked on guests. Top notch service! The staff honestly deserve a raise with how amazing they treated the large party.

Very small quaint area. Liked the antique style decor. Our kids took their prom photos there. Cute little kiddie cocktails and the bartender was so kind.

Staff are very rude. Food is old with some being acceptable. I ordered 3 dishes: 3. Spring Rolls: I agree with one of the reviews. It’s horrible. One of the worst spring rolls I have ever had. It’s extremely chewy and rubbery, and not fresh whatsoever. 28. Came with NO shredded pork, NO steamed egg patty like the menu showed. When asked, the staff rudely responded back that Western people don’t know how to eat it, so they decided to not make it anymore. It’s a waste. She also said with an attitude, “I already gave you 2 egg rolls for a replacement.” Let’s just say if I wanted egg rolls, I would order egg rolls (Not to mention, these egg rolls were like old and ready to go straight to the trash) Please don’t just go ahead and decide what to substitute for other people without letting them know first or asking them if they would want it. I wasn’t informed about this at all. I brought my food back to the parking lot and realized when I opened it. I had to go back in and ask. 32. Again, NO steamed egg patty, and NO shrimp paste cake. It was the same case when I asked. She was still rudely responding just like above and glares at you like you are so unbelievably stupid. And yes, she substituted one egg for two items. Would never go there again or recommend it to anyone. I really don’t understand why there are so many good reviews about this place. I wish I could give zero stars instead of 1.

To be short, I won’t be coming back to this restaurant. I really wanted to like it as a fellow Asian-American and pho fanatic, but I just didn’t enjoy my experience here. We were on our way to Chipotle when I noticed this restaurant at the stoplight… we should have just kept going. The wife had the audacity to ask all those who were dining in to use the hand sanitizer while she walked around without a mask. ?????????? I’ve never seen such small spring rolls in my life. The salt shaker was bigger than the spring roll and I ate more wrapping than I did any of the actual food inside. I ordered a roasted duck noodle soup with the addition of wontons. The broth was great however, with the combination of the roasted duck and wontons in one bite, it was too salty. I felt that the duck was overcooked and the chunks were cut too big. I also wish I had been given the option of egg noodles…

This was our first time at this restaurant. At first glance, it was a nice and clean place. Good location, but you'll have to enter from the back alley. Seems like a good place for pho as I love trying out new pho restaurants. We got there a little bit after 12pm, when they opened. There was only one other customer in the restaurant besides us. We ordered our food and waited almost an hour for our food. When we asked server lady if our food was coming, the server lady started giving us attitude, immediately. She stated that if we wanted our food faster, we should call in so we wouldn't have to wait, that they have a lot of phone in orders, that we should know because we should have heard their phones ringing off the hook. Not sure how the phone ringing has anything to do with waiting an hour for our food. We went there to try out their restaurant, not listen for how many times their phone rings. She went on mumbling as she walked away saying something like if we don't want to wait, we can go, but returns seconds later with our food. We were going to leave, but I wasn't going to let this impatient server or maybe owner of the store ruin our trip to the area. When we received our spring rolls, I couldn't believe how tiny they were. Looked like tiny cigars! I've been to many pho restaurants and non have ever skimped out on their spring rolls! $5 for tiny cigar spring rolls? They were so hard and so chewy! Not fresh addy all. Horrible! The shrimp fried rice we ordered was super plain! I bet BBC Hersha Patel would even disapprove! I could just see Uncle Roger shaking his head right now, too. All in all, the food wasn't the best. The pho I ordered was ok, better than someplaces I've tried. I needed to add a lot of hoisin and sriracha sauce to my pho. In summary: Food, I give it a 2.5 for ok food. Not the best vietnamese restaurant I've ever tried. Food could be much better for the amount of time we waited. Customer service, I give it a big fat 0! As there was no customer service. You have a lady that you couldn't communicate with due to language barrier, and a server lady that gave us attitude just because we asked about our food that we waited patiently for almost an hour. We also had to ask for refills on water. Maybe they should rethink their business goals and close down. I'll never return to this restaurant ever again.

The food was pretty good! The fried calamari and the pot stickers were very yummy appetizers. The beef steak pho was the most basic, but also very good. I maybe ate 1/3 of the large bowl and I'm taking home leftovers. Would give this place more stars, but the condiments were dirty and sticky and the table cloths haven't been washed in a very long time, I almost lost the appetite. The wait staff also didn't check in on us after we got our food. We needed refills on water as we spiced up our pho quite a bit.

So, I've had a taste for some Asian food lately. Only pick up or delivery has been an option at every other place. Which is fine, but, I do enjoy the dine in experience especially with a restaurant so tastefully decorated and clean as Pho Cali in Superior. I had such an enjoyable meal on Monday that I brought the Mr. last night and I had lunch today. I recommend the fried pot stickers and the curry chicken. I also enjoyed a cubed beef dinner that was reminiscent of shisk kabobs sans the skewers. Cost: for appetizer and meal with water just over $14

I ordered #78, sweet and sour chicken over rice and as you can see by the picture it’s actually “Burnt peppers and onions with a handful of chicken pieces” It was 1 star at best literally everything in that meal had that burnt flavor. I also ordered pot sticker that were for some reason covered in cooked egg and super crisp, like way over cooked crisp. Thankfully the fish balls were pretty good but this was a really disappointing meal for 30 dollars.

Wow I am mad I haven't been here before. Great great place. From the food tonthe service loved it all! The minute we walked in we fell in love great atmosphere. The food was beyond scrumptious and gigantic proportions. They had everything needed on the table and lots of variety of creamer and jellies. Because it was our first time Jenn our server brought us out a taste of their soup of the day..chicken dumpling man was it delicious then she brought us another sample of a cheeseburger soup that was so creamy and had pickles in it too..I had to bring home some of thst it was way to good. We had breakfast skillets and they did not disappoint so wonderful we are excited for our next meal there. Jenn and Livi made our visit extra nice they are so friendly and fun!

One of the best breakfast spots in the Twin Ports! A nice little diner style restaurant tucked a little out of the way, with fantastic wait staff - always friendly! The specials rotate regularly and are always delicious. Specials like Biscut and Gravy omlettes, stuffed french toast, and more. The hollendaise sauce is worth ordering, I get a side every time.

The omelet and hash browns were so perfect that I gave the cook a tip. It can be tricky to get an everything omelet cooked evenly. The hasbrowns were a bit buttery, well browned on both sides, and just tender through the middle. And in these days of shrinkflation, the portions were large. No skimping on the fillings.

Staff: The staff was very nice! Place had a “at grandmas house” kinda feel. Building: The building is spacious and very well taken care of. The bathrooms are clean. Food: was greatly priced. It came out fast and was delicious. Parking: plenty of parking. Star rating: 5 because of the price and the kindness of the staff. I have no problem coming back here every chance I get. Went in on a Saturday around noon and had the kindest most attentive server. Went there on Sunday with my boys and it was packed, but in a good way ! Packed with smiles, lots of happy people eating yummy food and super fast & friendly service. We were seated eithin minutes, even with a packed house ! All 3 of us absolutely LOVED our meals. This is definitely a place ypu could easily come to several times a week & we will 😋😝

Overall, it was an unimpressive meal stop that we felt a bit mislead on. It was our first visit here. * There is one low top table there. We started with the tater kegs. They were tasty but slightly frozen in the middle. There were only 4 or 5 (i can't remember) that came in the basket so not a lot. The Pickle Ranch ruined their flavor though. It was terrible.. and no we did NOT order pickle ranch, that's apparently just how they make it even though the menu says "ranch." We had ordered 2 "ranches," and got charged for them even though we didn't eat them because they were gross. We got burgers. I was expecting a ½lb hand patty but there were two ¼lb patties stacked on the bacon cheeseburger and one ¼lb patty & two ⅛lb patties on to the Wisconsin burger...?? I'm not sure if that's how it was meant to be a another photo doesn't show that. The patties tasted similar to Sam's Club burger patties. They weren't terrible but lacked flavor and dripped in fat. The fries were not thick cut, they were shoestring fries. They had good flavor but we went there because of the photos of the thick cut fries and I personally don't like shoestring fries so to pay an extra $3.99 for something I, once again, thought I was getting was disappointing. The chips were good. The coleslaw was creamy and sweet.

We went for breakfast and I got the cheese hash browns and bacon. Nothing fancy but so freaking good! Th inside is so nice and easy going. Our bartender and waitress was really nice! I would easily stop again!

One of the best bigger I ever had. Their Choo choo burger better then across the street burgers. Delicious fries. Cheese curds are awesome. Beer is good. Cheaper burger then across the street. Food tasted like at home. This place all 5 star for sure. Cheaper too.

This is a bar turned greasy spoon restaurant in the morning. The omelets are delicious! I had the Philly omelet and would definitely get it again. The portions were huge! Asked for crisp hashbrowns and they didn't disappoint. We didn't try a bloody Mary, but that is what they are known for.

Food was good. We had to keep going up to the bar and get drink refills, forks etc. Waitress was too busy chatting with owner to help us.

Ordered the Olive Burger basket. Burger was really good! The onion rings are okay, and the only thing that I feel is missing from most places like this that serve onion rings is a good dipping sauce specifically for them.

Excellent food, service and cute atmosphere. We have been here a couple of times and the bartender (Kyle) remembered our drink choices! Totally recommend this place as a hidden treasure.

Small local spot with a great vibe and friendly staff. Stopped in on a drive home after finding it online and it was delightful. Was there on the later side so the picking was slimmer but there was still a good variety of options. The donuts themselves are very well made, fluffy and soft and the frostings and fillings are not overwhelming or overbearing. Stop in if you get the chance but if you want the more unique ones you need to go early.

They have chocolate covered caked donuts with candy sprinkled on them! It's like a dream come true. So tasty!

The owners are very friendly and know how to treat a customer. They have a nice selection of cake donuts but also have some great apple fritters. A nice chewy texture with just the right amount of sweetness on the fritter. The establishment has some classy wood booths which encourage people to enjoy their treats right there. Coffee is available A lot of their business is through catering.

A dozen excuses has never disappointed. The cake doughnuts are absolute the best I've ever had. The fritters and other doughnuts are delicious too. You can also grab a cup of coffee or a bottle of juice while there. If your around during lunch they offer Coney dogs served on their fresh buns. Very good!

I got the chicken and waffles and my wife got the s’mores waffle. We both agreed that this is some of the best waffles we’ve ever had. The food came out quickly and was just simply amazing. 6/5 stars

This place is fantastic! They have gluten friendly options that taste as good as the regular waffles. The grog coffee was great, too. Atmosphere is fun with art and plants and the service was absolutely excellent. The woman at the counter was friendly and it felt like she went above and beyond to make our experience a good one. I can't wait to come back!

Although I have not yet had the opportunity to grace this establishment in person, I did order a waffle through DoorDash to my office across the bridge- I have never received a waffle via delivery and not been disappointed until today! My waffle arrived warm, not soggy, and the whipped cream was even still intact. It’s delicious and I HIGHLY recommend superior waffles. I ordered the apple crisp and added pecans, it’s sweet but not sickeningly sweet and the apples are just right. Thank you all so much for making my morning

What a fun experience! Both savory and sweet options are available. There is also a "chaffle" option for those keto, carnivore, or gluten intolerant among us. We tried all 3, including the Banana Bliss, the Celebration, and a chaffle version of the pizza waffle. All were delicious! If you are a waffle fan, be sure to check this place out. THEY HAD BUBBLES IN THE BACK!!!!!!!! Chirping bird was pestering me for a bite of my ninja turtle waffle, but I didn’t mind. Bathroom experience was superior. The maintenance log seemed like a potential forgery, but I’ll let it slide.

Cool little spot to stop and get some really good food while out walking about. You order at the little building on the side, but there is outdoor and indoor seating. I had the chicken mole bowl, chorizo taco and birria taco. Everything was extremely quick to come out and very good. The tacos were the star of the show though. They were just phenomenal. Next time I'm in Duluth I will definitely be coming back for some tacos.

Review from a Mexican women who knows real Mexican flavors. The two white men in the food truck gave me some pause but once I received the food I was sold. I had the birria taco, the cochinita taco, and the beans and rice and I was impressed with the flavor depth of the tacos. I would pass on the beans and rice next time but only because it was undersalted. I added some birria broth and salsa and made it work for me.

This place was super awesome ! Friendly staff and the food was fresh and DELICIOUS. We got 2 birria tacos and a torta and split it between 2 people so our meal was only $24 ! We’re in Duluth during grandmas marathon weekend so we were worried about parking hut there is lots of accessible parking nearby. Affordable prices in an area where that is hard to find !! Do yourself a favor and check this place out !!

Awesome for someone with celiac. Food was fresh and had tons of flavor. It came out fast and was hot. We went twice in two days. Only thing is Mexican coke is online said the Carmel color could be derived from a gluten source so we did not drink it.

I had the opportunity to visit Jamrock for the first time last night! Myself, my boyfriend, and a friend of ours stopped in at shortly after 8PM, and were happy to hear we were still in time to order takeout. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was immediately very calming and relaxing with beautiful artwork and lovely seating options. I enjoyed the fact that it was somewhat dark inside, rather than sickly bright with tons of lighting - for someone like myself with sensory problems, it was very enjoyable even just while we waited for our food. I ordered the daily special of jerk chicken tacos with corn bowl. It was absolutely incredible!!! From the first bite, I was in love with it. The flavors were phenomenal (the sauce that comes with the tacos is a MUST), the meat was tender and juicy, the shells were still in great shape despite a drive home, and the corn was delicious. My boyfriend had the jerk chicken gouda mac and cheese, and said it was great! There wasn't a noodle left in the bowl by the time he was done. Our friend had the same meal as myself, and he agreed that it was fantastic. Overall, it was phenomenal. I will definitely be enjoying meals from here again. And as somebody with Celiac disease, I can confidently say that I enjoyed my meal with zero negative aftereffects, which is always a great experience. 10/10, Jamrock. Thank you!

Gem of a place! My jerk shrimp and smoked Gouda Mac was absolutely delicious, service was great, menu is super fresh/changes with seasonal ingredients. Feel so lucky to have this spot in Duluth.

We got jerk chicken, curry chicken, side was mac n cheese, beef patties, and coco bread. The chicken were dry, no flavors. The mac n cheese was disgusting, tasted like sour cream over noodles with burned cheese on the top. The Beef patties are patties from the dollar tree ( i bought some from there, looks, taste, and texture are the same), and the coco bread was chewy like it was heated in the microwave and was from the grocery store and its not even coco bread. Too expensive for what it is. Nothing taste like what it's supposed to. Probably the worse food I've ever had. Sorry, not worth it.

My wife and I got the curried goat, oxtails, and a summer rum punch. We ate outside - the weather was perfect, and just loved the food. Seriously tender meat with a delightful slow burn heat level. The drink was fun - licorice and candies for decorations. Chef Tony and his team absolutely know what they are doing. We'll be back! Thank you for the amazing food!

We’re visiting the area and most of the other restaurants were generic American burgers, steakhouses and pizza. This place looked different so we wanted to try. We arrived right around 6pm on a Friday night. We got a family dinner for $45 that probably could’ve served 5 people. Everything was delicious! The greens (and I’m not a huge “greens” person) were my favorite! The ribs, mac’n’cheese and yams were amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Just amazing food. Every single bite just has so many flavors - everything we’ve had has been fantastic. The current style of service with just one or two meals each night allows such attention to detail that you won’t find anywhere else. If you’re looking for something unique in the Twin Ports, this is the place!

Unfortunately, I have to be honest. Coming from the south, I'm used to not trusting any Caribbean food restaurants in the North. I was very hopeful. I saw the rating of 4.4 on Google , and it is deceiving. The atmosphere, decor, and service are great. However, I came for grilled wings and a beef patty. Half of the menu was missing. Then we ordered the coconut bread and the Jerk Chicken Gouda Mac and Cheese. That's what I ordered, but I received warmed up ciabatta bread with some sour butter dip and day old food. What I should have recognized was that it did not smell like food was cooking and no customers. Usually, that's the mom and pop type. Oh, I'm about to eat real food vibes. NOPE. The cheese was not cheesing. It was dry, and so was the chicken that had the flavor, but not fresh. My boss ended up eating more than me, and her stomach was hurting but the end of the night. My I knew first bite...THAT AINT IT. I was told by the waiter to vome.back when the owner is available. So sad. I live so far away, and the owner should make sure his food is consistent no matter when it is served.

We stopped in there during Duluth days to grab our son a pop tart. We got the flavor of the day and one for each of us. We let the employee know that we were taking it home for breakfast with our son and she gave us a nice to go container instead of a bag, to keep them fresh. She was very nice!! I forgot her name. The next morning we warmed up and ate our pop tarts and while they were very good, I wasn't super impressed. There was very little filling and it mostly tasted like a buttery flaky crust with lines of sweet frosting. I didn't feel the frosting and filling complimented each other at all. I appreciate the work that goes into these poptarts and they taste good. I just don't think I would pay $5.50 for one again.

Omigosh! The sourdough bread is so good. Has that tangy sourdough flavor you love! I bought 4 different flavored loaves to freeze and use. We also bought coffee and a scone. It was huge-one was plenty for two.

The almond croissant was good with almond filling inside. The pretzel and cheese was tasty. The spiced pear macaroon was the best thing we had. It was totally scrumptious!!! We had to pay to park on the street just to run in.

Stopped here while in Duluth! When my carb loving self saw Duluth’s Best Bread I came running! And so glad I did, the bakery’s items just melted in my mouth. Employee and I exchanged miscommunication on my order and when I went right back in they gave me my correct items at not cost. Definitely the type of atmosphere you want to feel when visiting a location. Beautiful people in a beautiful place 💗

I am a pastry and bread fanatic, and this place did not disappoint! They had everything from loaves of bread to muffins to pretzels to cookies. I was so impressed with the vast array of options they had. I loved that they served coffee as well. Want a flaky pastry and a local coffee? This is the place to go! The staff member helping us was chatty and made us feel welcomed right away.

Visiting from South Dakota - went on a Saturday morning after enjoying hilarious social media posts for years! The staff was Super friendly and fast! There was a constant flow of customers but No wait! The atmosphere was so cozy and cool in the old downtown building and the food was delicious! We had the pecan caramel rolls and Duluth latte, and bought additional treats and Rosemary sour dough bread to go. I can't wait to visit again!!

Pastries were ok. I felt like they could have baked a little longer or something. The chocolate croissants felt dense on the bottom and very greasy from the butter. Either the lamination went wrong or in the bake and the layers seemed off. Most of it was just all right. I wasn’t blown away. But love that they started small and have multiple locations.

I looooove ice cream, and the salted maple here was somewhat lacking in flavor (I make my own maple syrup and my own ice cream). However, the cider I got was great and the atmosphere was good for everyone.

Wonderful delicious thick ice cream. I got a maple and gingerbread swirl in a waffle cone for a special occasion. Super sweet lots of sugar would recommend if you’re ready for it.

Extremely high quality and delicious ice cream. I knocked a star off because the sizing is inconsistent and I never know how much ice cream I’m ordering. Sometimes it’s huge, other times it’s tiny and you never know what you’re going to get! Best flavors are the classic maple and chocolate (when they have it...there’s only 2 flavors at a time!).

One of my favorite treats in Minnesota. Located in a cool area in Duluth in a cider company. The flavors are excellent, a delicious vanilla soft serve with creamy texture and the right amount of sweet. I live in the cities and my husband and I discuss Camp Creemee legit every other month....they made an impact. Please franchise in Minneapolis. I need it.

I like to give good reviews, however I can't for this place. The ice cream was delicious, however the serices was ridiculous. What happened to service these days? It's interesting how when you pay with a credit card you are asked to tip ( for good or great service) before service is even delivered. I wish I didn't tip as much because service was horrible.

A great place to have some Cider, and was surprised they also had Soft Serve ice cream. The ice cream flavor selection was limited but tasted great. A great place to stop for any occasion. Lots of seating indoor and out. Great service. I would definitely come back.

Terrible experience recently. The prime rib was over done and served to us cold.We ordered the prime medium and it came very well done! The scallops were overcooked and dried out. The waitress said she was busy when we told her and actually said "It is not my problem "..Yes it is!! She forgot our rolls..no bread basket any longer. We asked for the roll. The waitress brought us over a bowl of heated broth to warm up the prime rib and it tasted scorched! We will not return. We have had too many bad experiences there. Also, why is the old dirty carpet taped together? A tripping hazard. The restaurant really needs a deep clean and that red/ black filthy carpet has to be replaced. The women's bathroom also has carpet!

We come every couple of months for prime rib and shrimp. The queen cut was rare and tender. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were generous pours and unexpectedly fresh. This is a quaint old steakhouse and the wait staff is effecient, professional and hospitable. It's not as expensive as some chain steakhouse. It's an old-fashioned meal served with a dinner roll a side salad and a baked potato.

My husband and I got into town late, hungry, and wanting a local place with seafood. We've never been to the Duluth/Superior area before, and we were not disappointed. We did not have reservations, so we threw up a "hail Mary", and lucked out. The lot was full, so I'd say make one to be safe. Our dinner can only be summed up as something our grandparents once had the privilege of experiencing. The nostalgic atmosphere, the friendly and prompt staff...but let me get right to the food. We started with the walleye fingers: battered and fried wonderfully. My husband had the Prime Rib dinner, and it was cooked to perfection. I had the broiled Trout, and let me say, I've never had a trout that good. It was not only cooked and seasoned perfectly, but it was a massive portion. Our entree's came with salads and baked potatoes, while we got multiple cocktails and a bread budding, which was also one of the best we've ever had. I still can't get over how much we ate and drank, and barely paid $100. Don't let this place sneak by you, because it's worth every minute.

We chose this place bacause we were staying nearby. I did not have high expectations because from the outside it is underwhelming. But this place proves you can't judge a book by its cover. We were seated immediately and our server was fantastic. We started with walleye fingers which were thick and coated to perfection. Another appetizer of onion rings were hand breaded and crispy. The salad was decent as was the lobster bisque. For entrees I had sirloin steak and lobster. The steak was under seasoned but my son said this is wisconsin people dont like a lot of seasoning and you season to taste after. It was cooked to a perfect med rare. The lobster was some of the best i have eaten. Similarly for the steak and scallops. Decent steak but phenomenal scallops. 2 in our party had filet mignon. The filets were seasoned and cooked to perfection.lobsyer mac and cheese was decent and broccoli side was great. 2 had hash browns which were fantastic. Served as a huge square and expertly crisped on the top and bottom. For dessert we shared bread pudding and banana cream cheesecake with hot fudge. Both were raved about. I definitely recommend this place.

Amazing service, food, and very pleasant atmosphere. The steak was exactly as ordered and came with a beautiful baked potato and delicious fresh Caesar salad. To finish it off I enjoyed a proper tiramasu. While a touch dated, it speaks volumes about the legacy of legendary service this fine steak house has provided. 11/10

It's still a good meal for a fair price. Miss the days of bread baskets and the dressing caddy. It seems like they might be afraid to season the meat these days too. Excellent dessert choices.

LOVE this place! Amazing thin crust pizza, perfect crust and sauce, and great cheese. I always get great service and I really like the easy option to order uncooked pizzas to take home for later. This location is in a really cool, old building too. I wish they were open 24/7 haha

This local small pizza joint is one of the best. Be patient with them because they only have a small staff base but it’s worth the wait/ they go above and beyond and the pizza is sooo good! Love on them they deserve it!

I stopped today to order two parbaked pizzas at the West Duluth location. The Vintage Pizza Deluxe, and the Classic Chicken Wild Rice were delicious. The staff is super friendly and the service was very fast. I will definitely be back.

We ordered a Mediterranean artichoke pizza and some garlic bread sticks. We loved both and the Mediterranean one had a good mixture of veggies. The pizza crust is more of a thin crust. They mentioned that only their Superior location had dine in. We liked that they have a few other veggie options.

Fine pizza, nothing special, but also not bad. Traditional style pub pizza. Would like to try their other menu items eventually. Sammy’s is definitely better after trying similar pizzas from both places. I’d go as far to say the take home Lotzza Motzza pizzas from Menards are just as good though and much cheaper. $6 versus for a pizza versus $28 for a large from here. Crust was good, just a pretty boring sauce and an average experience overall. Employees were nice however and pizza reheats okay.

First time eating here while on vacation and must say the steak was great and the chicken wrap sucked. The prices are kind of pricey for the quality of food. Also, it was kind of disappointing when a waitress argued with me when I wanted to add another side to my steak order. It wasn't like I wasn't going to pay for the additional side. Chicken wrap had no real flavor. And there was like no chicken in it. I would recommend the steak. Especially if you like rare steak.

Our friends came up from Arizona so 7 of us went to have dinner, we were the only ones in the restaurant our waitress Malery was unorganized, missed alot from our orders, she was not in any hurry to help us even though as you can see from the photos attached we were the only customers she had. When we told her we had been disappointmented with the service she reacted by telling us she had only been there for 2 weeks and it was our fault for her mistakes. I have never been told that it was my fault for the waitress mistake. We did let her know that because of the poor customer service there should be some kind of credit given, she told us she could not do that the cook and bartender would not let her. Being in the food industry myself I know that is false. Very very poor customer service, when you are a waitress customer service is everything. I will not be going back, very disappointed at the horrible service and response from the waitress Malery that would not take accountability for her mistakes blaming the customer. Unacceptable !!!!

We came here to try the foods for our Anniversary. The foods are excellent and price are reasonable. but the server needs more training. She very very slow. Foods come out without silverware. It’s takes forever to get your coffee refill. The whole meal never stop at our table. But she did 5 minutes after we finished our meal. And we’ve to ask for our bill. I feel so sorry for the table of 5 next to ours. They have their foods on the table without their silverware’s. Also, there is 1 server try to swept the floor and pull out the chairs against the concrete floor is very very noisy.

We're from out of town. Didn't stay to eat. Five of us sat outside and only given two menus. A young child seated us. No drink menus given. Table next to us seemed to be getting ignored, and we overheard them ask for a server to come. Then the server came to our table instead ..so we sent them to their table. After 15 mins we just up and left. Server was standing at the bar and watched us leave. 🤦😐 it wasn't even that busy. 🧐

We should have known it wasn't going to be good as no one was there and the kitchen staff was standing around. We ordered drinks --- mountain dew was watery and pale yellow., cocktail was ordered as a tall and served in a high ball glass. There was 4 in our group-- 2 ordered the burgers which they say were good, 1 ordered a French dip but the au jus was highly salted and couldn't be used. The last person ordered the fish basket which was horrible! The fish was overcooked and hard. When brought to the waitress' attention, she suggested it would be removed from the check when ACTUALLY only a 15% discount was given. To offset the lack of a decent meal, we thought an appetizer might be a good idea. WRONG! The potato skins were so overcooked they were hard and inedible. Save your money and go somewhere with good service and good food.

This place in it's time was awesome. They really need to spend some money. Pealing paint everywhere and general lack of maintenance. The restaurant/bar is the huge downfall. They need a huge attitude adjustment. This last time is our last. Bar manager kicked our less that 21 designated driver (with his Dad there) out after we had been there for more than an hour and only 4 other people in bar. Then after asking several times if we needed reservations, the last of our party showed up. We were told it would be over an hour wait. Asked for the manager & the most arrogant pompous non gentleman informed us that is how it is. Our elder of the group, 80ish plus, who has lived her entire life here said that was totally embarrassing. As she put it. Her & her wealthy, happy blue haired ladies won't be back.

I dont like writing bad reviews, but this place deserves one star. Food came out cold, the shrimp tasted as if it was microwaved. The highlight of the meal was the nice cold spotted cow. The front was ran by high school kids with no training once so ever. I dont blame them, they where trying hard to serve people, with no knowledge about customer service, they just bombed miserably. I dont recommend this place at all, save your money or order in pizza.

Have been driving by Eddie’s for over 30 years and finally stopped. Wow! Wonderful service, great salad and dressing options, soup was a little gravy-like but tasty, and the entrees were eye-opening visually and delicious. Ribs are yum-yummy! Chicken wings and sides very tasty. Great food experience!

1st time and will definitely be back again. The food was excellent and they were extremely helpful to accommodate us with one of our guests in a wheelchair. Get Eddie's on the map! Josh was our chef & his skill at the grill with our prime rib and ribeye was worth finding this unassuming yet splendid restaurant! If you haven't eaten at Eddie's, you haven't had steak in the Duluth/ Superior area. Make this stop a priority the next time you're around. Will definitely be going back! Gluten-free sides and salad available. No reactions and I'm ceiliac. Had prime rib, side salad, baked potato and a coke. What makes this an important review, besides safety for gluten free is that my prime rib was ordered well done. It came out juicy and tender and cooked to perfection. Our server was Janie - kind & knowledgeable. Stop in and get an epic prime rib! Hubbies ribeye was "on par with the finest steakhouses I've eaten at."

Unbelievable home cooked food, great service, ambiance and quality of food. If that's not enough, there homemade dessert's are probably the best we've ever had in all of our travels. Don't miss out on the salted caramel cheesecake or the creme brulee!

We took my parents here for their 52nd anniversary. We all had such an amazing time. The food was great and the portions were big. Great appetizers, soups, and salads. Our server was the real winner. The receipt said Audra so I hope it was accurate. She was sooooo great. My mother has been a waitress for 4 decades and she expects the best. Audra lived up to it all. Friendly, funny, and attentive. Thank you for making our night a special one!

Local spot in town. Steady stream of people while there for breakfast which is served all day. Has a log cabin feel with wood paneling & seating areas. Good menu of typical breakfast choices. I enjoyed biscuits & gravely with eggs. I asked for extra eggs which I said I have no problem paying accordingly for. Waitress was happy too fill request. Seat yourself when walking in.

LOVE Julie’s! The food is priced right and they serve breakfast all day. We made it to Julie’s for the morning crowd and it was lovely to see the obvious relationship between the staff and folk coming in. I got the shipwreck skillet and it was delicious. I also got a side of pancakes and I feel like that was the cherry on top of a delicious & classic breakfast. My husband got the chicken fried steal and of course I snuck a bite. So, I’m happy to let you know that the chicken fried steak was good as well. The staff is super kind and every time we come in they are joyful and polite. The restaurant is decorated with cute lil knick knacks that are fun to look at. Overall, I’m just impressed with the place and will be coming back again & again.

A friend invited to have all you can eat fish dinner. It was delicious! The waitress was wonderful, sweet and efficient! It was a perfectly comfortable and enjoyable night.

I LOVE Julies. The place is beautiful inside. The food is fantastic. The staff works really hard and still kicks butt as a team. It takes awhile for the food to come out, but that's because everyone goes there to eat so the wait is worth it. Highly recommend. We come here every time we make a Duluth/Superior trip.

We were staying in town at the super 8 and Dori told us to come check this place out. She said she worked there weekends and that the food was amazing. She was right. My friend and I both ordered the eggs Benedict. Hands down the best eggs benny we have ever had. We cleaned our plates. The vibe is warm and homey. Very clean place. Coffee was rich and delicious. Our server Stephanie did an excellent job. She was super kind and pleasant. Great experience. Thank you!

This was a cute little restaurant we drove a bit out of our way to try and we were pleased that we did. It was a great dining experience. Our waitress was very friendly. That bean soup was amazing and the rest of our food was pretty good too. Pricing was fair. We all left full. Winning!

I remember this place with rose colored glasses, This diner used to be the spot. They had an expansive menu, high quality food and amazing service. Unfortunately all that has degraded within the last 5 years. I brought my girlfriend here for the first time since the pandemic, I got the Chef’s Skillet and she got the 1/4 pound cheeseburger (because they were out of pepperoni for the pizza burger. It should be worth note that we tried to order the banana crème pie but they were out of that as well). The first thing to note was the service was lack luster, I felt like the server was passive aggressive and made us feel like a burden. An example of which is midway through the meal my girlfriend wanted a cup of coffee (they have really good coffee, it’s really smooth yet strong). I made eye contact with the hostess, she ignored me, I waved at the hostess, she ignored me, Eventually I just said “Hey” as she walked by and I managed to order the coffee. After that she ran up to us and dropped off the bill, we still wanted desert. Either way the food was fairly mediocre, it’s bland but cheap and filling. The skillet was large and had variety but nothing stuck out as amazing or even worthwhile. The burger was the stereotypical bar burger which is essentially an unseasoned meatball with cheese on a bun. After we were finished with the meal we decided to sit on our bill for an awkwardly long time until eventually the hostess approached us and asked if we would like anything else. My girlfriend ordered a piece of apple pie and I ordered a chocolate malt. The server asked us if we wanted the pie “heated up” and my girlfriend said yes. The server then went to a cooler, pulled out a slice of pie and proceeded to microwave it in the dining room. I mean there was no sense of shame, it made me wonder if I was just eating yesterday’s leftovers. The server was almost desensitized, it’s one thing to do it behind closed doors but they’re practically advertising it. Either way the apple pie was extremely hot on the outside while being lukewarm in the middle, it’s quality was similar to a super one slice of pie. When the malt arrived, I’m not gonna lie I was impressed. It looked like an old school 1950s style malt and it was of similar quality. The malt was pleasantly thick while being subtlety sweet which made it one of the best malts I’ve had in the area. Still though I will not be returning, the service is just awful and the food isn’t good enough to carry it. Unless you’re really craving a malt and coffee, this place isn’t worth the stop.

Nothing special. I had the daily special as the gentleman that held the door told me was wonderful. it was excessively salty. And the did not have the cake I wanted to kill the salt. There was more whipped cream than necessary and very little to no chocolate flavor to it, no real service. My ticket cost $19.32 plus a charge for having used a credit card, plus the tip.

SLOW service. Foot was crap. Waiters never refilled our waters (family of 6). We had to ask for a pitcher of water. We had a spill of water while the waiter was taking our order and she didnt even go get rags to help out. She ignored the mess and took our orders. After wards she brought rags over but didnt even clean it her self or help out. I had to clean it up. Pretty awful experience and the table was wobbly thats annoying.

This place has gone down hill. The portion of food is small. No flavored syrups just maple for pancakes. Bought breakfast for $16 which wasn’t worth $8. Charged $3.49 for toast and the eggs were cold. Yuk! 😳

Ordered and they never gave my mammoth cinnamon apple muffins to my delivery person. Then the person I talked to a Perkins tried to blame my delivery person. Perkins had the order sealed shut. Told me it was my responsibility to ensure my order was complete. This is very poor customer service. Blaming others, not a good job with customer service.

10/15 tables were dirty when we walked in, only 1 couple seated and 3 or 4 employees wandering around. Ordered a skillet and got a half-assed, small, pile of stuff that looked like they scraped it out of the corners of the grill. Another member of my party ordered the salmon and the asparagus was literally shriveled and barely discernable as asparagus in the first place. Asked why the tables werent cleaned and they just told us the bus boy was new. Waitress was friendly, but inattentive and unconcerned when my other party member mentioned the state of the asparagus. Ive been here several times and each time has been worse than the last. Worst part is that other people who came in after us ordered skillets and they actually looked great. Im unsure what happened or why our party had such awful food as we were not rude and there were only 4 of us at a very un-busy time.

We stopped in for our annual dinner on the way home from fishing in Canada. Worst experience with a Perkins ever. Most items out of stock and server was very inattentive. The food items that were finally delivered were sub par. The manager verbally passed the blame on a line prep person who has been out for 4 days. Someone else should be running the location and certainly the prep work should be done by someone else if the prep person is out. To top it off, was offered warm pie and “bottomless” soda, but the refill I asked for was never delivered.

Although their own website has an option for delivery, they don't actually offer it -- something we found out after looking through the entire menu and adding everything we wanted to the cart just to click "place order" and get an error notice. I then called to place an order for delivery and the employee told me they don't do delivery, even though it's on their website. She said they work with DoorDash, but that was closing soon and she said I couldn't even do that (it was 7:30 p.m. and the restaurant states they close at 10 p.m.).

first of all, when it arrived the food was packaged really messy, as you can see with the chimichanga the rice and beans are everywhere, also making it soggy. second the rice was really unseasoned it was almost white, it’s lighter than the pic is showing but their rice is typically way more orange… it tasted like nothing. chicken was also overcooked💔. I love this place none the less it was just not good this time, hopefully it was just a one time thing as i haven’t been in awhile.

Worst excuse for a margarita i have ever had. The food had no flavor, and i am about sure the carne asada was cooked in a microwave🤮. The waitress was a nice lady, no complaints with her. If anyone tells suggests this place, cut all ties with them and never speak to them again.

So I ordered the supreme fajitas the chimichangas beef and a tamale. The fajitas are fire always I wanted to order something new so I ordered the chimichangas and the tamales just to try them. I’ve never had Chimichangas before. So I can’t really say if they’re authentic or not I thought they were pretty decent but it reminded me of like a roast meat but it was very soft and moist which was very good it was just a lot of queso on it. The tamale was not authentic it was smothered in sauce and cheese and beef which is odd it’s quite small usually tamales are pretty big. It was also very mushy and quite cold I’ve had tamales in Mexico before and they’re made nothing like this so I would not get the tamales again

This is the 2nd time I got nothing close to what I was expecting. I ordered a vegetarian quesadilla and it was 1 deep fried tortilla filled with about 8-10 ounces of frozen spinach and queso and a couple of mushrooms. Not at all what the menu described. I ate a few bites and threw the rest away. We had a table of 7 and food came quickly. 2 of our table ordered taco salads and they were soupy. Service was good, but the food... not so much

Tamales were moist and well seasoned (although I had to sprinkle a bit of salt for my liking). Seafood molcajete was delicious. Golden margarita was ginormous. Enchiladas were pretty good.

Breakfast all day, great soup, fast as they can service. Good family eatery.

The last three times we ate here the food took forever to receive. Last night we waited 15 min just to place our order and their were only 2 other tables. The food isn't as fresh as it used to be And the baked potato hasn't been fresh for last 3 times. What happened to the great service we used to get? Why do we have to find someone just to get more coffee.

If you like a half pound burger, this is the place for you. Too much meat for me, but otherwise a nice combination of flavors. I had the one with bacon and avocado. Onion rings were a bit greasy, but tasty. Blue cheese dressing excellent; salad was just past its prime, but still pretty tasty.

Stopped on our way home from the BAM bike ride. We were tired and very hungry...the Breakwater did not disappoint. Hot fresh coffee, clean tables, friendly staff and the food was delicious. Best of all the pancakes were great. So many places serve you fluffy flavorless pancakes that are impossible to enjoy these pancakes plain and simple were very good....... I will be back!

From the time we entered the door, we had great service. Breakfast was excellent and our waitress listened to our special requests and the order came out perfect. Worth walking the extra bit to bypass Gronk’s to get to Breakwater. Will definitely be back!!!

Ordered a steake rare, it came out medium well. 2nd go round was a lot better. But then the potato's and veggies were cold when they came out again. The steak was average. The veggies were nasty so feeding those to my chickens. Definitely frozen veggies. 2nd meal I ordered was the beef filet tips. Mashed potatoes were really good. The beef could use some flavor kinda plain and taste beefy. Cooked good tho... nice and tender. Lots of elder people here but I like that vibe sometimes.

Burgers weren't great. The kitchen mixed up who got what. I had ordered the olive burger add bacon, with curds and my husband ordered the jalapeno burger with fries. They served the jalapeno burger with bacon and cheese curds. By the time I got back to the table my husband had already half eaten in my burger. I didn't know until after I bit in and realized I had jalapenos. Thank goodness my mother-in-law wasn't there because she is allergic to jalapenos. I don't feel that the food that we were served was worth the $68 we paid. Next time I would opt for not a burger maybe try one of the sandwich options. The pizza, that somebody at our table had was good. The kids macaroni and cheese is amazing. They had good french fries.

Everytime we travel we like to go where the locals go. This was a very nice place. Bathroom were very clean, prices for dinner was very reasonable. The meal was done to perfection. (From vegetables to the main course. I will highly recommend this place. I for one would come back again.

This place is window dressing only. People seem to love it but I have yet to figure out why. The owner is rude and bitter. The cooks are not skilled, the servers are busy. When you have to walk from the street because a place is packed you have one idea and then the reality is they are playing volleyball and your burger is a more expensive and worst-tasting meal than at Burgerking. Im from Georgia and have traveled all over this great nation. The food the service and atmosphere is as good or better than any I've been to! Definitely recommend to all my family and friends.

Needed some takeout for the VRBO, wanted something local, this looked good. Walked in, sat at the bar, got a friendly greeting and cold beer right away. Regular folks sitting around after work, calm and relaxed. Ordered the food, it came out before I finished the beer. Got it back to our rental, yum! I recommend.

Decided to visit a restaurant in Superior while staying in Duluth. We chose The Shack because, overall, it was rated higher than the other restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to expectations. We both ordered hamburgers, which we found oddly dry and tasteless. Not sure if they made the meat patties ahead of time, than reheated them for their customers - but the meat was much drier/tasteless than a normal burger. Wait staff were pleasant and prompt, but that's not enough to warrant another meal there again.

Loved the fried cheese cubes!!! They were served with caramel sauce?!?! And were delicious!!! Omg💗 so good!! Our server was very friendly & so were the locals (big thank you to the couple that shared their spicy pepperoni from Aldi's). When in the area, we'll stop again!

We had a reuben and a pulled pork sandwich, they were both fantastic as were the onion rings. The lady working was very kind. I'm glad we stopped before we got to Duluth, it was a treat 😌 We stopped because they allow dogs on the patio.

I had a fantastic vegan lunch here. Really good buffalo tempeh tacos! The vegan queso was delicious, a really different take on it. The food was very flavorful and not overly salty. I also enjoyed a Warrior smoothie which was great. Service was excellent, staff is friendly. I will definitely be coming back.

I go back so often to get their açaí bowls, they are so good! I also love that all the options are vegan/vegetarian and gluten free!! For the price, I think the food is so worth it because you know the health benefits are there.

Really impressed by everything we got. Vitamin Sea smoothie was delicious. The herbivore bagel was fresh and filling. But the nachos were to die for. We don’t live in the area but man did this place hit the spot (good prices too for what you’re getting). Service was friendly and prompt and it was so so cute inside! 10/10 recommend starting your day here if you’re in the area

Omg we loved this place. Came from St cloud to look at a house but it was also my vegan daughters birthday so we decided to give it a try before heading out. Atmosphere was beyond comfortable. The food was awesome and plentiful. Wish we got to Duluth more often.

Came here last week to try something new. *****FYI, if you use the lottery machines, there must be some law that says the bar can't give you change, so if you win $20.98, you'll only get $20 back. We came here and there was NOBODY ELSE there. I specifically told the server this WAS OUR 1ST TIME there, she told us what she thought was best; and went to play games ; I won, and gave her my ticket, and thought she shorted me? She just casually said, "oh, we can't give you change." Why wouldn't she have said that to me before? Also, the outer part of the salt shaker was sooo gross. That just turned us off. I just don't know how to ask a server how to clean that when I feel like those should be cleaned every night? So that added to our experience. This is your classic dive bar. I went for the bbq and was very disappointed. The only bbq at this bbq restaurant were ribs. I ended with the Philly steak sandwich with undercooked fries. I would not recommend that anyone drive out of their way to visit this place.

What a great “Hole in the wall” restaurant with phenomenal food. Affordable prices and variety of games to play! Fooseball for days, pool and darts! I would recommend checking them out if you are in the area! I can’t wait to come back!

When we walked in greeted with friendly people,our waitress Amber was amazing and like to joke around,food was amazing the amount of food and quality was amazing, we had all you can eat fish and brought out seconds 6 peices without asking big peices of fish and crispy,ribs and brisket to die for hamburger was a good size Alli is an amazing cook. We went with our two year old, people were so sweet, the workers were amazing, the food was literally to die for and I don't think we paid over $40 for freshly smoked ribs, brisket, onion rings, fries. The cook apologized that we had to wait a bit cause we got there right when they opened, but fr i would wait DAYS for his food. Amazing.

They have so many cool unique things, from the decor, old style building and drive up to the amazing table service! The food was delicious! Coney and curds were very perfectly executed. Very friendly service and food came out very fast. The ladies working here are wonderful. Clean dining room and restrooms. Would highly recommend stopping by this location. Oh and half of coneys!

Love this place! Was welcomed with a happy employee who waited on our table and brought us our chilled rootbeer very quickly! They brought coloring sheets for our children and took our order very quickly. Food was very hot and tasty! Even with 10 cars at the drive-up windows and multiple customers in the store, the food came in 5 MINUTES!!

Great food. I had the burger and fries. Also had a order of onion rings. Everything was delicious. I definitely will be stopping back then I am in town. Then I will upload some photos. I was so hungry and too good, to stop and take a picture.

Burgers fries and cheese curds - excellent. Wife's only complaint - hamburger bun too thick. Sliced it thinner - removing 1/2" with my jack-knife. Root beer - very good. Atmosphere - nostalgic. Waitress - sweet and beautiful. What fast food should be.

I love love love this A&W! I grew up going to the Superior A&Wcand have seen the same waitress there since I was little. The food is great and the staff are amazing! One of my favorite go to places in Superior!

We love going to A&W because it’s a nostalgic type feeling. Went tonight around 6pm and although it was busy, our server was so kind and welcoming. Made sure we were good and even apologized for our food taking a while (and when we sat that table hadn’t been cleaned yet, but we didn’t mind ☺️ ) we could tell she was working hard and was probably overwhelmed but she handled like a pro. Orders came out fresh and exactly how we ordered including side sauces (to me, thats the attention to detail that makes or breaks an experience). I forgot her name but she was probably my favorite server I’ve had there and deserves some extra kudos ❤️ As for the food…Hands down I think A&W has one of the best chicken tenders in town between Duluth & Superior. Fries were fresh and perfectly cooked. Our server came back to top off our root beers without us even asking and it was a great meal and worth the wait. My only regret was not getting an ice cream on the way out!

Fantastic Liquor Store! It's my go-to even though I live across the bridge in Duluth. Outstanding selection and there are always amazing sneaky deals/closeouts for some excellent spirits on sale every time I go! They may be hidden, but the hunt for them is half the fun!

Enormous, gigantic, massive! That's the description of the selection at Keyport Liquor. On top of that, they have great prices & employees that are eager to be helpful. I was looking for a specific beer (Narwhal by Sierra Nevada) & found the last 6 pack on the shelf. When I went to the register I asked if the cashier knew if they had any more. He asked me to wait & he would go check. It turned out there was a full case in the back & he brought it for me & I took it home. Thank you.

The restaurant, liquor store, and bar are adjacent to each other near a local grocery store. They are in a convenient location. There is a full menu, and a prompt helpful staff.

The wiatress was very kind. The pepperoni pizza was pretty good, sausage had a bit of a unique flavor to it. Chicken was super plain and unseasoned, do NOT get the chicken. Lol. Mashed Potatos are instant, like the cheap in a white bag generic type instant. 0_0

Delivery driver didn’t go to right address called me with attitude on the phone as if it was my fault they have messy handwriting. 1 hour of waiting to order somewhere else. Save ur self the time.

Really nice place with exceptional service. We got take out and they provided plates, napkins, parmesan packets, and more. The pizza was really good with just the right amount sauce and toppings.

Pizza was good but ordered no green olives, and black olives on one half only. Deluxe had so many green olives more than other toppings. Probably been less green olives if I said nothing.

Always excellent food and the service was great. We have been very happy with everything all of the time and the weekly specials are worth checking into, especially the Sunday BOGO. They always make sure you are happy and want to return.

Came in after nine to take advantage of the half priced appetizers, Decided to go with the Parmesan shrimp topped steak with garlic, mashed potatoes and broccoli. The presentation of the plate wasn’t the greatest I’ve ever seen, but the taste made up for it. The steak was cooked perfectly. I had ordered it medium rare, and the seasoned broccoli was very tender, and the garlic mashed potatoes were garlic mashed potatoes, nothing real special there, I sat at the bar, because I was by myself . My server was friendly and helpful. It was overall a good experience and I would come back again.

Prime Rib Sandwich was delicious. Kids enjoyed the mozzarella sticks and Buffalo Chicken wings. Restaurant was clean and food service was quick. Loved the 80's music too.

Bought quick dinner for fiancé's birthday for take out tonight due to a big storm. Asked to upgrade one meal with waffle fries and didn't receive them which wouldn't have been a huge deal. However my fiancé 's crispy chicken sandwich till had the cheese slice paper on the cheese....can't say we will order from this location again

The waitresses Izzie and Cyrus were incredible, always making sure we were taken care of and our food came out quick and efficiently. Both waitresses were absolute gems and made us feel welcomed and kept smiles on our faces with their good attitudes and service. Charlie the bartender was amazing with our drinks and had a wide knowledge about the drink selection.

Great! The Food was great, The Service was nice, The Atmosphere was perfect! The place was also very wheelchair accessible so bonus points for that! But this is definitely a once and a while kind of place since the prices are outrageous. But still I would come again! 9/10

This would have possibly be a 5 star with a chance I got a different waiter. Off the bat have a dirty look like we were a problem possible because of racial issues. We were seated and given are menus to have some time to think and when we got more time she never came back for a while. When she came back she never gave any kindness of contact more of someone trying to rush them out of here because of who we are. We’ve have been waiting almost over a hour and only have had 3 appetizers and when she saw we finished we wanted to order more but gave us the check on purpose. We didn’t say anything about being finish but she offered dessert and here’s the check so we had to stop her and say we are still ordering more. When she heard that she gave us this disgust look like what the hell they’re not leaving yet. This was probably the most worst service ever and this will not go unnoticed and this is not how you treat your customers. Ps my portion size for my boneless wings are unbelievable let alone Appetizing but still had to eat because we had no other food. The time of dine is 9PM The servers name is Charlie. My apologies for ordering more food when you thought we were done but you were showing somewhat rudeness as well making us completely uncomfortable circumstances

Basic Applebee's. The staff was nice. I had the 12 oz ribeye with mashed potatoes. The steak was good for sure the potatoes tasted like they were made from a box. Otherwise it was fine. This Applebee's is tucked in off the main road a bit so you won't see it till your on top of it.

My husband and I absolutely loved the atmosphere here! They have dim lighting, not overly loud music, super comfy chairs, and great service! The nacho fries were delicious! The Mexican food was good. The price was ridiculously good! The drinks are too strong to taste the other flavors, but next time I'll ask for less alcohol in them. They have nice bathrooms, lottery in the back, a choice of table or bar to sit at, tvs next to most tables, and a strangely placed stuffed deer on the counter. Overall great place! The parking was great too! Right next to it and a large parking lot!

We traveled about 4 hrs and stopped in superior. We stumbled into bucktales and were very impressed! We ordered poutine and a pizza, both came out very quickly and delicious! The music was really fun. Could definitely stop for some margaritas and get trashy with the girls some day, but it's also family friendly. Great service too!

They need to remove their title as being reviewed on “Diners, Drive-in, & Dives” because this is nothing like the restaurant that was on the show. The pizza they claim was on the show “Tripe D” looks nothing like what it did on the show. Highly disappointing.

Service was fantastic. We were last here in 2018 and had the poutine on our way out of town. It was cray. 2024 and we're back in town. We decided to stop by Shorty's and get the poutine again, but see it is a new restaurant with some of the old dishes. This time... I don't know what to say. The gravy was better maybe, the fries were the same and the meat was fine - but more like cut up slices of brisket versus "pulled brisket ". However, we had so much poutine last time we brought it home and had it for lunch again the next day. Today, we got the poutine as an app and the. Got al pastor tacos. The tacos were fine. But the poutine was not as remembered. Is it nostalgia? Maybe, but the portions were maybe 1/4 what they were and there was no 256oz Red Solo cup of beer on the menu. It's a much different place. I'd say, come for the Mexican, skip the Montreal smoked meat. It's not the same as it was. Mexican old fashioned wasn't as good as I'd hoped it would be, but I didn't have high expectations going in. Service was fantastic however. The photo is from the last time we were here. That poutine was amazeballs. This poutine was *maybe* 1/4 of that. Less cheese, less meat, less gravy compared to the fries you received. Not a value. Do not recommend this dish if you are looking for the old stuff.

Got to say the Mexican food is pretty good. I'm from Texas and usually not satisfied with Mexican food up north. Staff were polite and fast service. Atmosphere is nice also. Only thing I can say to jazz it up more is take some homemade Salas to go with the Mexican food. But not a deal killer.

First time here! Amazing place! Delicious food. The perfect little eating nook. Comfortable and cozy. Friend ordered Nachos. I had taco salad. Best food I've tasted in a long time. I will definitely be coming back.

We only stopped because they had a sign saying $3 Moscow mules. I had never had one but it was amazing! We got a chicken quesadilla appetizer to split. The food came out quickly and was very flavorful, authentic Mexican food. Great service, we will definitely be stopping again! A very pleasant surprise, so glad we stopped!

This is a sweet county bar. The fish fry is awesome! If you're looking to go off the beaten path and hit up a sweet little mom and pop bar, then the Wabegon Bar & Grill is the place to go! Will be going back for sure!

Really good authenic Wisconsin Friday night fish fry. Large ice cold beers, perfect old fashions. The only downside was it was a hot day, and we were seated in the back room, way, way too warm. Bar area was comfortable.

It was a bit unclear where this place was at first because we didn't see a sign on the building & it's down a dirt road near Mont du Lac. We sat outside on the patio, which is a nice option to enjoy the outdoors but nothing in particular to see. Inside was a typical bar/restaurant look/feel. Cheese curds were excellent right out of the deep frier. Reuben sandwich was delicious. BLT was surprisingly good for a more basic sandwich - loved the cranberry wild rice bread. Friendly service! Would come again!

Great people running a great Tavern. Everything I've eaten there over the years has been really well prepared. Always good beers on tap. An amazing Bloody Mary!

Had a great fish fry here last weekend! Just on the Wisconsin side of the St Louis River,.and right next to Mont do Lac Ski and Rec area. I can't say enough about the FANTASTIC service! Sat at the bar, and the bartender was one of the best servers ever. I was using a gift certificate, and didn't bring cash to top. I offered to buy something else just so I could leave a nice tip. He says, "It's all good. Pay it forward, and double the next server." I'll tell that story 100 times.

Absolutely loved breakfast here today, thanks. Recommend the Spanish Omelette I ate for sure but everything looked great, and pancakes were massive

Carla was great! Bacon cheeseburger was delicious; the bacon was cooked perfectly. I'm picky how it's done anywhere I go.
