Restaurant
Tuscan Brick Oven Bistro offers a modern twist on Italian cuisine, using locally sourced ingredients and serving in a cozy and rustic setting. The bistro provides both lunch and dinner menus, with outdoor seating available during warmer months. Guests can enjoy the warm wood flooring and soft lighting while savoring their meal. The restaurant is known for its Smoked Haddock Cakes appetizer and Gorgonzola Beet Salad.
Came to Tuscan’s with friends for dinner after hearing great things — and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, and our server was attentive and friendly. If you’re a margarita fan, don’t miss the spicy tequila — it’s got a great kick. We sampled most of the appetizers, and they were all fantastic. Highly recommend the lobster bisque too — rich, flavorful, and comforting. Overall, I’d definitely come back. Great spot, great vibes. P.S. Make a reservation — it gets busy!

The Tuscan Brick Oven Bistro at the end of the shopping area in Freeport was outstanding find. There are several outside tables for dining in the summer and the interior is a delightful newer atmosphere. They have a large set up to bar with a dress, lots of wine choices, and a full cocktail menu. We luckily arrived at two and Monday through Thursday is their half price happy hour on beers and cocktails. I tried the stout, the brownie, and. The coach beer and all works seemingly drinkable. For our meal, I had a haddock chowder, which was the best oud eaten the entire week, traversing the central and lower coast of Maine. I also had their muscles which were large, tender and done perfectly. My wife had a delicious apple cranberry walnut Gorgonzola salad. This ended up being one of my favorite meals of our week in Maine. our service was impeccable and the prices were very reasonable. Even though it was mid afternoon, there were 20 tables of patrons and Moore available. This restaurant should be listed as one of the best in Maine.

Came here to celebrate a birthday and award last spring and had such a lovely waiter. He brought us complimentary deserts (chocolate cake and Tiramisu both were wonderful). He truly made our night. I got the spaghetti and meatballs and it was so good and filling. The spaghetti noodles were homemade and were very good as was the sauce. The atmosphere is beautiful and diners truly get a unique experience. The mocktails are amazing and I’ve never been upset coming here. Truly amazing service, food, and atmosphere, somewhere that I will be returning to when I can. Thank you for the memorable and lovely experience!

We dropped in on the spur of the moment after shopping at LLBean. We had lots of small plates including the crab cakes, burratta, waygu on crostini, lobster bisque (had lots of chunks of lobster) and all were excellent! Jessa our server was great and gave good recommendations.

This was our second visit, and it was somehow even better than the first. We had 6pm reservations on a Saturday night with a two-hour wait time for walk-ins. So you’d expect the service to lag or the kitchen to be backed up. Absolutely not the case. We were seated at a cozy two-top in the far corner near the pizza station, with a perfect view of the whole restaurant. Every member of the staff was dialed in as if their life depended on it. Our server, Amanda, was outstanding, managing us and a 16-top birthday party simultaneously without missing a beat. She took time to answer all our menu questions and even offered great drink recommendations. Our cocktails and focaccia appetizer arrived before we even finished looking over the menu. The pacing of the entire meal was flawless, just as I was finishing the last piece of bread, our entrées arrived. I had the short rib topped with whipped ricotta over tender gnocchi, and my wife had the chicken parmesan over vodka sauce pasta. Both were incredible. The highlight at the end was splitting the tiramisu, the perfect finish to a flawless meal. Having worked in restaurants myself, I was genuinely impressed by the timing, teamwork, and professionalism across the board, from the hostess team to the kitchen. Looking back, my only regret of the night was leaving Amanda just a 20% tip. She absolutely deserved more for how amazing she was. That alone gives us another reason to go back and dine with her again. Until next time!
Dale T — Google review
A local shop owner recommended we stop here while we were visiting. What a great recommendation! The inside was beautiful and comfortable. The hostess and our waitress were both so kind and accommodating. The food was delicious. We both got pasta dishes. The bolognese was delicious, perfect amount of ricotta and the braised beef was to die for. My friend ordered an amaretto sour and she said it was the best she has had in a long time. Definitely would recommend!
Amanda F — Google review
My wife and I absolutely LOVE eggplant. We have eaten various eggplant dishes all over Maine and while we love Anjon’s for the traditional eggplant parm, Tuscan Bistro’s eggplant sandwich with focaccia is absolutely delightful. It’s scrumptious, succulent and not overly breaded. And the side salad is loaded with goodness. The truffle fries were yummy and not too greasy. If you love eggplant like we do, give them a try! Great value too at $20 with the add ons. 👏

This place was fantastic! Service was excellent and the food was even better. I had the Italian sausage roll on gluten free bread and it might be the best sandwich I’ve ever had. The fries were a great accompaniment as well. The blueberry iced tea was insanely good. Would absolutely recommend!

Barbecue restaurant

Buck's Naked BBQ is a vibrant local chain known for its dry-rub barbecue and lively atmosphere. The meats are dry-rubbed, with sauces served on the side, drawing in a dedicated fan base. Pit masters start their day at 4 a.m. to fire up the hickory pit for an impressive array of proteins like chicken wings, brisket, baby back ribs, pulled pork, and sausage.
You walk into a large rustic cabin atmosphere with lots of spacious booths. You get to watch a top notch staff hustle to provide great service. Jenna did a fantastic job of providing quality service for us. I ordered the half rack of St. Louis Ribs with potato salad and coleslaw while my wife went with the Thai Chili Shrimp. My ribs reminded me of my time in the Midwest near St. Louis. The sides were tasty and plentiful. My wife enjoyed a tasty and generous bowl of shrimp. Get place to enjoy a casual dinner meal.
George S — Google review
Good quality smoked, bbq, and grilled meats from the tender Ribs, juicy brisket, to the chicken and everything in between! Our appetizer of catfish, with aoli mayo was actually one of the highlights of the entire meal. Our server was exceptional as well. The only thing we could criticize are the sides, which I want to be nice, but are pretty terrible. My husband makes authentic southern collards, which would put theirs to absolute shame, my homemade honey cornbread is far more moist, my potato and pasta salad are better, but the French fries are phenomenal! That part of the review is solely based on years of restaurant experience. This is a fantastic place for quality meats, portions, quick quality service, and is pretty affordable for the area! Kinda wish we could have gotten a dessert or or something, considering I mentioned it was my husband's birthday(we didn't want the happy birthday sing along) and our anniversary is tomorrow, but we'd still both recommend trying Bucks!

Great food and atmosphere. Ate way more than we should and still took home leftovers. Fun decor around and friendly staff though it may not have been the fastest service and attention.

The food, atmosphere and drinks were amazing but not as amazing as Moose our maître-level server. Definitely highly recommend and we will be back soon for more!
Jesse F — Google review
We love this place! My favorite is the pulled pork but we’ve had everything else and it’s all been really good. We’ve also tried the dinky salad with ranch (best ranch ever), collard greens, baked beans, baked potato and coleslaw. All of the sides taste so good. Also their cornbread is dense and cake like which I love, not dry whatsoever. That and their bbq sauces are all amazing especially the blueberry. We will come back time and time again because this is becoming one of our favorite date night places. Highly recommend if you like bbq!

Stopped in for a late lunch. The sign got my attention and the interior decor was interesting. The burger was tasty and well seasoned with abundant fries.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here. The folks were greatand the food was fantastic. I really liked the sausage and ribs. They had a really good blue berry bbq sauce.

We were visiting from VA. the week of Oct. 20th-25th. We stopped by during that time and I personally found my wish. I love Barbecue but i really like it smoky. Bucks was it . The aroma when you walk in can be overwhelming but, I loved it. The brisket sandwich was fantastic. The smoky flavor was unbelievable. If you like smoky this is the place . My grandson was crazy over the Blueberry Barbecue sauce. He wished we could have brought some back with us unfortunately we were making a few stops in between to get home and it would need to be refrigerated. I realize some people would not enjoy the smokiness but i did. When I ask around a few places where we live they just kind of shrug it off on the smoke.

Restaurant
Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster Company is a charming, family-owned eatery located on a dock by the water. This local institution has been serving up fresh Maine seafood for over 40 years, offering a quintessential Maine dining experience. The menu features boiled lobsters, fried seafood baskets, made-to-order sandwiches, and an array of homemade baked goods including their famous whoopie pies.
Was in Freeport looking for a good lobster roll saw this was nearby so we took the short drive over. Harraseeket is set right alongside the water at a marina. They have a good amount of parking but it does fill up. The views from the restaurant are amazing and they have both indoor seating and covered/uncovered outdoor seating. At the window to order the re was a sign that showed and approximate 1hr wait for food. Their time frame was very accurate. I ordered the Lobster roll and a pint of fried scallops. The lobster roll was filled with both tail and claw meat. I asked for some butter which made it even better. The scallops were served with cocktail and tartar sauce. Overall, it was worth the wait and I would 100% go again.

Came across this gem by accident driving with my husband on vacation. We decided to eat lunch here. So peaceful, Jeanette was so darn friendly and the food was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We wanted to go back another day, but we were hours away. It would have been worth it! 20/5 stars!!!
Tawnia A — Google review
My recent stop at Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster Company in South Freeport, Maine, was a fantastic coastal dining experience that left me eager to return. The atmosphere is pure Maine magic—picnic tables by the harbor, salty air, and a lively yet laid-back vibe that’s perfect for soaking up the waterfront views. Whether you’re with family or friends, the setting feels like a warm embrace from the coast. The staff were a highlight, greeting us with genuine warmth and keeping the service smooth and friendly. They made navigating the menu a breeze, and their enthusiasm added to the welcoming feel. The food was a standout: the whole belly clams were a generous portion, perfectly cooked with a crispy, golden exterior and tender, briny centers. The lobster roll was equally impressive, stuffed with fresh, succulent lobster meat, lightly dressed to let the seafood shine. The grilled cheese was gooey and satisfying, and the cheeseburger was juicy and well-seasoned. The only letdown was the fries—a bit sparse compared to the hearty mains—but they were still crispy and tasty. Prices felt fair for the quality, with the clams and lobster roll offering great value for their size and freshness. However, $2.75 for a bottle of water felt outrageous, a small sting in an otherwise reasonable bill. Another minor gripe was the loudspeaker for order calls, which was a tad too loud, briefly disrupting the chill harbor ambiance. Harraseaket Lunch and Lobster Company nails the seafood shack experience with its friendly staff, perfectly cooked dishes, and vibrant setting. Despite the pricey water and loud speaker, it’s a spot I’d recommend to anyone craving authentic Maine flavors by the sea.

Lots of seafood options, food comes out pretty quickly. You order at a window and they'll call when it's ready. Decent amount of seating available under covered patio. It is cash only and the parking is super limited around this area. Nice view of the harbor while eating. We both got the beer battered shrimp basket which was really good, a lot of food! Not pictured is the strawberry rhubarb pie we had also which was delicious.
April N — Google review
Excellent lobster (couldn't ask for fresher, as you can see by the photo of lady whisking them out of the water); very good clams; good prices. We arrived a little earlier than the crowd for lunch,so only waited about 20 minutes. You couldn't ask for a more perfect location, looking out on the river as you munch on your perfect lunch!!
HarrietL P — Google review
Magical, quintessential Maine spot. Cozy, delicious and reasonably priced food, nice people (thank you to the staff member who ran my waterbottle out to me that I left behind!). So much fun to have a bite here.
Michaela R — Google review
My favorite lobster roll comes from Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster. The shack is a quintessential part of Freeport and the Maine experience imo. The lobster is always fresh and the most tender. Typically served cold with light mayo but you can get it with drawn butter. Both are perfect depending on your mood but this time I went with butter. You can't miss if you get one of their baskets. The seafood is always perfectly fried and never dripping with grease. They know what they are doing here and you can't beat the view either.

Linda Bean’s Maine Kitchen & Topside Tavern is a popular dining spot located near the L.L. Bean Flagship store in Freeport, Maine. The restaurant offers a variety of delicious seafood options, including their famous lobster rolls and shrimp rolls. Visitors can enjoy their meal on the covered deck while watching the bustling activity around them or take in the rustic indoor ambiance with its sweeping curved bar.
My wife and I went to Linda Bean’s basically because it was walking distance from our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised about how great of a restaurant it was. We were seated quickly on a Friday night. I loved the chairs at our table. They were on wheels which work great at a restaurant. We started with very good scallops which were delicious. My wife had haddock and I had a chopped lobster dish. Both were fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Wow. This food is amazing. I could eat here all day. Definitely worth the price point, food was ready in a timely manner. You could tell everything was fresh. Our waiter was SUPER attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was good as well.

I had the lobster roll at Linda Bean’s Maine Kitchen, and it was exactly what I was hoping for — classic Maine lobster taste, simple, fresh, and delicious. No frills, no unnecessary extras — just quality lobster and Linda’s signature herb mayo that adds just the right touch. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It really feels like home here. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an authentic Maine seafood experience!

Driving through town as we were heading up North to Bar Harbor for vacation and needed some refueling — snagged a shareable Lobster “Colossal” Roll that really satisfied the palate! Lots of lobster meat with well-crisped potato chips to balance all the flavors! They were short-staffed at the time for lunch, so had to walk up to the bar to request our bill and pay for it then — other than that, it was a great place to grab a bite before hitting the road!
Amy B — Google review
Family of 4 visited Linda Bean's Maine Kitchen and Topside Tavern this past Saturday - sat outside by the fire pit. My husband got a burger and said it was OK. My father and law got tenders that seemed to have been on the extra crispy side. My mother-in-law got the bowl of chowder and loved it. I got the lobster BLT - it was delicious; however, I would have assumed the lobster to be warm, but it was cold.
Stephanie R — Google review
10/10 recommend Linda Beans! We ate here twice during our stay. The first night we sat outside hoping to sit by the fire pit, but was told they were out of propane… never offered to be moved inside since it was later and chilly (that’s my only complaint). First night we had the Lobster Bisque, clam chowder and old fashions! Everything was delicious. The next stop we had hors d’oeuvres with a group and had the wings (blueberry was my faveee) and mushrooms. For dinner we had the lobster roll and lobster stew both were perfection!!! Definitely a must if you are in Freeport
Hannah L — Google review
We stopped here for the lobster rolls. We were not disappointed by the meal. The lobster was delicious, so were the homemade chips and the sweet potato fries.

Located in Maine, Jameson Tavern is a historic Revolutionary War-era establishment that has been serving traditional American comfort food and beer for centuries. Established in 1779, it is one of the oldest operating taverns in the state. The tavern has gained popularity among both locals and tourists, with its enormous seafood-focused menu and generous portions. It is also known for its resident ghost sightings, adding to its allure.
Wonderful seafood!. We had the scallops appetizer, which was delicious very tender and perfectly cooked. (Note the empty plate!) A great deal actually as you get a lot for an appetizer. Then the haddock platter and sandwich were both perfect. Tender, fresh and very tasty. Even the coleslaw was very fresh and crunchy. We sat outside on such a beautiful day. Highly recommend
Judy H — Google review
Went for dinner and we had to wait to get a table. We asked for first available and sat outside which was quite nice. Our starters were shrimp cocktail and New England clam chowder both were very good, the shrimp were very fresh. I had the seafood medley, delicious and my wife had steak and garden salad. We both enjoyed our meals. I would recommend this restaurant, but go early because they started turning people away at 7:30 because they close at 8. I would rate the bathroom a c.
Joe P — Google review
Absolutely fantastic service. My friend has celiac disease and the waitress and chef were the most accompanying she has ever felt. She could literally order almost anything off the menu and they had a solution for her. Food was great and the vibe was rustic tavern which was very comforting. We had the swordfish and haddock specials, very good.
Garrett M — Google review
Loved the atmosphere and everyone who worked here who we interacted with was *lovely* af. We got the baked lobster and the baked seafood medley and both were great. I loved the lobster, it was perfectly cooked and the scallops were excellent. I’m not sure I’d get the baked lobster again though because the stuffing in some ways distracted from the exceptional quality of the lobster itself. Fantastic though and glad I tried it! Side potatoes were great but broccoli was over cooked. The portion size for the Baked Seafood Medley was a bit on the small size!

Had a very good lunch at Jameson Tavern. We got seated quickly. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was good. I had the crab melt and we shared a lobster cocktail. Although none of us ordered it, we loved that they had a “lazy lobster” on the menu where they take all the meat out for you!
Bryan W — Google review
Crab dip- loved the chunks of crab it was amazing The Maine Trifecta- wish it was warm, shrimp was a little more chewy than liked but over all good and filling. Crab Melt- great flavor and paired well with the coleslaw! Drinks were mediocre.
Katie P — Google review
Family friendly and nice spot to dine or get happy hour outdoors. Solid starters, we shared mussels, nothing especially notable in food quality or taste, but a good, predictable traditional Maine seafood forward menu catering to tourists. Brought out of towners, might return for happy hour. Wish they had more Maine forward beer selection to accompany the seafood! Friendly staff!
Julia W — Google review
This is my favorite place to eat in Maine. I love their baked, stuffed scallops. Very rich and decadent. I could only eat the scallops so I took the delicious coleslaw home for a snack. I had the same meal last year and it was better than I remembered- says a lot for the quality here. Definitely a must try- scallops were perfect and the stuffing was worth all the calories. Fantastic service too. Only complaint is they aren't open every day!

Lobster Cooker and Pub in Freeport, Maine is a popular spot known for its casual, sports-pub vibe and delicious fresh Maine seafood. The refurbished barn and patio make it a great place to enjoy classic coastal eats like lobster rolls. The restaurant offers a full menu of pub-style favorites, including options for kids.
Breakfast is amazing! My wife, baby and I head to the Lobster Cooker for lunch regularly. (Our favorite spot in town, easy parking and kid friendly.) So we were excited for the new breakfast menu, and it did not disappoint! The breakfast sandwich on a croissant roll was the winning ticket for me…the croissant was a pleasant surprise! (light, fluffy and warm) Serve with tots, that meal was 10 for 10.

Counter service available downstairs, with a cozy pub offering full service upstairs plus outdoor seating. The menu features Maine favorites alongside soft drinks (Coke products), four beers on tap, plenty of canned options, and wine served in mini bottles. Notable beers on tap include Allagash White and Allagash Curieux from Allagash Brewing. Conveniently located near LL Bean and outlet shops. Workers were friendly, and the food was made fresh and served hot — a great local stop worth visiting.

The Lobster Cooker and Pub in Freeport, Maine, is a great spot for fresh and tasty seafood! Super tasty pizza and fast service. We tried the special pepperoni pizza, as well as a garden salad. I loved the dressing they gave us, and all the greens were super fresh. The crust on the pizza was on the thicker, softer side. It was very flavorful and loaded with delicious, crispy pepperoni! I thought the prices were reasonable as well.

Stayed at a hotel down the street so it was within walking distance which was fabulous. Food was tasty and staff were down to earth and kind. However I feel as thou a permanent hostess is needed or perhaps more staff as I noticed they all did hostess, waitresses and bussing. The ladies did very well for doing so much! The food was a little slow and sweet fries are a little over cooked but beyond that it was a wonderful place to get a good meal
Jessica P — Google review
My husband and I recently moved into an RV. We decided to start a tradition where we order pizza from a local business when we get set up at a new place. Antonia's is number 5. It's a bustling eating house with a bar, a large dining area with tables and booths, and a lovely outdoor space if you'd rather dine under the sky. Seems to be really popular as there was a constant flow of diners. After having the food, I can see why! I tried the Acropolis pizza, which had chicken souvlaki, broccoli, feta, kalamata olives, oregano, and tomatoes. My husband made his own with Genoa salami, ham, pineapple, tomatoes, and sautéed onions. They were both delicious! The crust was airy yet crisp and easy to chew. The toppings were fresh, and the sauce had a nice bright taste. They have far more than just pizza though, and everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked so good. I wasn't terribly impressed with the passion fruit margarita, but still gave them 5 stars because the food was great and the staff was friendly and hard working.

Huge menu with something for everyone! Italian, Greek, Mexican food, burgers. I had Olive Oil with Pita, a delicious app that ate like a meal. My husband had minestrone soup and said it was fabulous. They make a mean Margherita, too. A fun atmosphere, but if you want VERY quiet, this may not be to your liking. The bar gets a bit loud, but it's laughter you hear!

We chose this place simply because it was close to our motel and we were tired from driving all day. We got the margarita pizza with the olive oil base. It was very yummy. We weren’t too sure because the pizzas at this place had cheddar on all of them. Being from the Midwest, we don’t have cheddar on our pizzas! Surprisingly it was really good! Huge pieces of basil, some too much because it looked like spinach, but the pizza was very good. Crust is flakey and really good. We also shred a house large salad which was plenty big for 2 to share. Lots of other options at this place but we wanted pizza.

We went in on a Friday night, 10-15 min wait to be seated. We started with the pepperoni prosciutto, it was fantastic! Absolutely recommend. We had child's penne, pesto linguine, and a loaded burger. They all came out at temperature and we'll presented. Tasty too. Our waitress was attentive, even though they were short staffed. Will return next time we're in town.

Stopped to grab some gyro's on a road trip. They took a while to make but the wait was worth it. These were the best gyro's and fries we've had in a long time. Staff was very friendly as well!

Petrillo's Food & Drink is a cozy spot known for its artisanal pizza and Italian dishes, as well as its happy hours and outdoor seating. It has been recognized for serving some of the best food at the annual Flavors of Freeport event. While specializing in Italian cuisine, the menu offers a variety of options, with many dishes featuring ingredients from local Maine suppliers. Customers praise their specialty pizzas and recommend trying the Spicy Meatball Panini.
I really love this hidden gym in Freeport. They have wonderful options for everyone, gluten free options, healthy, guilty indulgences and more ! Fresh tasting ingredients and reasonably priced. The ambiance is cozy and the bar area seats about 20 to 25 people.

It’s a fair restaurant but not above and beyond. They claimed to have gluten free pizza but in reality I was told that it is cooked on the same surface as regular pizza, so there is a big risk of contamination. Our waiter was a little bit rude suggesting that the gluten “burns off” when in the oven which is concerning considering that some people including me can have a big problem if they eat even a crumb of gluten. I went with the Vegetable Risotto which was fine. The squash was over cooked and burned but besides that, it was a decent dish. My brother ordered a pepperoni pizza was burned and filled with grease. The service was slow and below average. The waiter also forgot to give us any silverware even after our food was served. I think the issue may have been that they were short staffed. The picture of the pepperoni pizza in my review is the replacement pizza we ordered and was luckily less burned than the first one which was charred on the top.

What a cute and cozy restaurant. It looks like it used be a house at some point in time, but sits tucked away behind the shopping outlets and by the train platform. The food was fresh and well cooked (which you can almost watch if you sit at the bar) and not all items are the usual Italian fare. I went closer to closing time, but I enjoyed the experience and the delicious meal with house sangria and would return if given the opportunity.
Kyra — Google review
Honestly the food was decent and the atmosphere was nice. However, my husband found a small screw in his Alfredo. The meal was comped but no manager came to apologize and our waitress’s parting words were “you’ll accept my apology”. When a customer somehow managed to magically avoid chomping down on a screw that was in their meal I would assume that the manager would want to handle that personally. What if it was a child?!?! I don’t think we’ll ever go back again.

I came here with my friends for an afternoon luncheon. The employees were nice and the food tasted wonderful! However the prices weren't amazing. I got a 12" bbq pork pizza and a lemonade, and the tort for a dessert and the meal came out to be 28.35 (tip excluded) which i personally thought was a bit high. Overall I would give it a 3.8 out of 5 and would come back again.

We absolutely love the burgers here. They're consistently cooked exactly as requested and have been a family favorite for years. The rest of the menu is traditional- but always has some excellent, very creative highlights that are well worth a try. Service has been fantastic every time I've been here. Very efficient, pleasant and fast. Dining room can get a little noisy when it's full, but outdoor seating and takeout are both available if it's too loud.
Kerra P — Google review
I visit this place every year and normally I would've given 5 stars. This visit wasn't up with the rest of my visits though. Staff were friendly, fast and helpful. Got tomato bisque and it was WAY too garlicky, very sad that I was literally eating chunks of garlic. Got their special, pork panini with mushrooms and pesto. Although the pesto is supposed to flavor everything the sandwich was a little dry and I ended up asking for some ranch to go with the sandwich. Will of course visit again because the originality and quality of their dishes are high. They renovated recently as well so there's more sitting room for visitors.

Pie shop
Wicked Whoopies is a popular bakery known for its delicious whoopie pies, a classic Maine dessert. The owner and her team offer traditional chocolate cake shells with vanilla cream filling, as well as unique twists on the original recipe. Customers can choose from a wide variety of flavors and sizes, including mini whoopie pies that are perfect for sampling different options. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making it easy to find the perfect treat.
Grandson’s grew up in Vermont and one asked for wicked whoopie pies from our trip. Unable to find, we were too far south, in Kennebunkport. We ordered on line to be shipped south to our grandsons. They said they were delicious. The shipping was very fast, ordered on Monday and they received them on Wednesday, we did not pay additional fee for fast delivery, only normal fee and expected 3-5 days.

My friend brought me by here to try the best Whoopie Pie in the region. They were pricey, but man were they good. He gave me the whole whoopie pie history for the region. I was amazed at how.much a creamy pie could bring so much a tradition to an area. I know it's not the traditional one, but red velvet whoopie pies are my favorite! I had to buy a few for friends as well!

As a newcomer here, I was attracted to this place by its vibrant Aesthetic, and the natives around town talking about "whoopie pies". I was not disappointed. It's a fun store with a decent selection of different pie flavors! I feel like this is definitely one of those "Have to Go" places when visiting Freeport!

Enjoyed my visit to Wicked Whoopies! I noticed there was some pretty low stock in some parts of the store but was still able to get a nice haul for the folks at home.

Wicked Whoopies is a nice store, and the whoopie pies are great! I do wish they would offer more of the smaller ones though. I have visited this store several times over the years, and I can not recall anytime when there was great customer service or friendly people that work there. Our most recent visit was on 10/29/25, and we were stared at the entire time (by two staff) while making our selections and not greeted or thanked. Customer service is poor and needs much improvement!

Excellent whoopie pies. Lots of flavors. We’ve had classic, peanut butter, and mint; all were delicious. Smells good as soon as you walk in; calm cheerful atmosphere. They have minis of some flavors, if you want a smaller snack.

Maine Beer Company is a popular spot in Freeport, Maine, offering American-style ales in their tasting room with views into the production facility. The brewery also features craft pizza options, including the favorite Ebb Tide pizza with lamb, tomatoes, feta, and more. With a variety of beers on tap and a limited selection of food items like pizza and salads available, it's an excellent place to enjoy drinks and delicious bites.
Nice big place and pet friendly. Was on a ride home from a road trip with my boyfriend and stopped to break up the trip home. The pizzas were really yummy especially the Margarita. They came out reasonably fast and tasted fresh- plus, they cook them in a nice big stove (brick or oven I couldn't really tell). Clean spot overall with indoor 2 level / outdoor one level seating and nice service as well.

A lovely space, great for families, excellent snacks and the pizzas were top tier with a delicious base and well cooked. The highest is clearly the beer. Lunch/Dinner are well known in the beer community, super clean and delicious. If you are travelling past Portland this is a place you really need to visit for a quick refresher. Good merchandise too!

Came to Freeport just for the Maine Beer Company! Greeted warmly and sat at a table with a menu. We ordered up at the bar - boyfriend got a beer tasting and I got a Strawberry Moon cocktail and a pretzel to share! They have a food menu with a good amount & some pizza - we didn’t get but looked good! Indoor (upstairs & downstairs) & outdoor seating, great gift shop (where we picked up a lot of gifts!), spot to grab some beer to bring home in 6 & 12 packs. Really awesome place, can’t wait to come back!

We knew we liked the beer - Lunch is a family favorite - but until today we didn't know how good the food was! Our party of 4 ordered one cheese pizza, one with sausage and Calabrian chiles, plus the veggie "sandwich" and we took leftovers home from everything. The sandwich is a whole Neapolitan style pizza crust cooked and wrapped around an incredible mix of cheese, roasted veggies, and dressed lettuce shreds that is one of the best vegetarian meals I've had in a long time. A Wolfe's Neck IPA complemented everything nicely. The atmosphere is great, staff is friendly, food and drink are unimpeachable, and to top it off they were donating 20% of food sales to a mental health organization. We'll be back soon, and often.

A staple go to while in Freeport. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and of course, amazing beer. They have their staple Lunch IPA as well as rotating options. Post ride snack is a session IPA which I really enjoyed. Their pizza is delicious as well! They have crumble sausage toppings which I personally love!

Great spot in Freeport!! One of our favorite breweries through our trip to Portland and Bar Harbor! Space was exceptionally clean, beer was the best we had, and pizza was amazing! They also don’t accept tips - only donations which I think is super cool and rare. They have it down pat here, gonna miss it!

A hostess stand greets you when you walk through the doors, with a host or hostess that is required to seat you...in a brewery. Picnic tables are your seating options and a small food menu. Orders must be placed at the bar so get in line. If you want bottles to go, there's another bar set up with a large refrigerator behind it that has the available brews. You stand there and wait for someone to come over. In my case I waited 5 minutes or so and no one came. They delivered our pizza to the table so I went back to the table. Pizza was good, and you can't go wrong with Lunch on tap. When we finished our meal, I went back to the bottled beer spot, two people working it at this time so I placed my order. Lady behind the bar couldn't locate our tab, stated we must have closed it, which we didn't. She eventually found it in their system. Closed our tab and left. On the way out they have a little merch room, just past that is an outdoor patio with seating, and where dogs are allowed. Big parking lot which I am sure fills very fast. 3 stars because this place was cold, physically and from just about each staff we interacted with were indifferent or a tad haughty. Very uncomfortable. I won't go back again. Miss the days before they expanded, when it felt more local, more friendly and you hoped the pretzel lady had made a delivery and there was still a pretzel left to go with your beer. Sometimes bigger is not better. The beer is great though. I'll buy it in the store and skip the brewery.

It's not just a microbrewery restaurant with a traditional tavern atmosphere, but also features a playground outside. Craft beer enthusiasts will appreciate the housemade flagship and seasonal ales available in custom 22-ounce bottles. For those who prefer other beverages, there's also a full bar with skilled mixologists ready to craft your favorite cocktails.
Great pub food at reasonable prices. Lobster ravioli was a special the day we were there and it was very good. Other dishes our group ordered were awesome as well - pub mac & cheese; brisket special. Nice selection of beer and hard ciders. Definitely recommend if you're in the area.

We would give 2 1/2 stars if possible. Definitely bring a sweater. It's chilly in here. Our waiter forgot our mushroom appetizer. After our meals showed up & I inquired about the appetizer, the waiter said, "Oh, I'm so sorry. That's my bad. I guess you don't need it anymore. It's a moot point now, right?" To which we said, "No, we really do want our appetizer!" Our food took around 30 minutes to come & it wasn't terribly busy. My daughter's lamb gyro was moist but bland. My hamburger was cooked pretty close to medium rare (as requested) & was juicy, but very bland. Our fried mushroom appetizer was also in desperate need of flavor. We added salt to everything, but it only helped a little. The homemade chips absorbed a lot of the grease they were fried in & were also bland. We've heard good things about Gritty's, but we aren't impressed. We'd be content to never come back. Sadly, you're not missing much if you don't visit. I came in positively expecting to leave great reviews & I'm extremely disappointed I can't leave a glowing review of this local Maine business!

It's kind of dark but it was a gloomy, rainy day out when we went so that probably didn't help. Took a while for us to get any service and they weren't busy. Food came out quickly though. Bloody Mary is decent, it's a house mix. The table next to us had one so someone at my table ordered one and they looked completely different. The other tables looked well presented and delicious while ours looked slab together. The fried mushrooms are yummy. The taco special was good. The homemade salsa delicious. The fried clams and fried special was OK. A bit greasy and breaded a bit much. The beer is not the greatest, or at least the one I had for my taste. The atmosphere and the mediocre beer, I don't see myself going back but I like to check all the places out so see for yourself.

Decided to give this restaurant a try. Judging by how busy it was and the food I can understand why it is so popular. Staff was helpful in suggesting dishes to try. Lots of drink options to choose from for the beer lover.

The service was outstanding friendly helpful and worked so hard to please everyone. We had a party of 15. The place was amazing. The kids played corn hole while waiting for the food. The food was delicious and plenty for the prices. The prices were reasonable. 👍🏼👍🏼 look forward to going again. I don’t give 5 stars to many places but this place deserves five stars.

After an afternoon drive down Route 1, we decided to look for place to have a drink and some food before arriving home. We found Gritty McDuffy’s in Freeport. It’s one of the few places we could find open on a Tuesday following Labor Day. We decided to sit at the bar. The restaurant didn’t have anyone in there and the bar had one table of about 6-8 celebrating a birthday or special occasion. By the time we left there were several tables in the bar and a few in the restaurant as well. The take out also appeared to be plentiful. In addition to inside seating, they have a nice size deck with umbrellas and a large fenced in area with a play ground, corn hole and a fire pit. The copper bar we sat at was interesting as were all of the numbered mugs hanging from the ceiling over the bar tender. Josh was very pleasant and accommodating. We each wanted to sample a beer as wine and he happily poured and shared his knowledge of each with us. My sample glass was not a wine I enjoyed and he offered up another option (J.Lohr) that was better. My boyfriend had one of their beers on tap called Vacationland and enjoyed it. I had to ask for a new glass as mine had lipstick from another customer- that happens and as a wine drinker, I’m used to it but most often at dive bars. We joked with Josh when it was time to order saying we wanted a sampler of ever app! He chuckled but agreed they should have one but no substitutes allowed as the kitchen wouldn’t be able to handle it when they get busy. We finally went with 3 apps, mushrooms, tenders and the sweet potato pulled pork fries. Those fries were delicious!!! We ate every bite and brought home over half the tenders and mushrooms. Generous portions and it was really way to much food for 2 of us. This stop was definitely a winner!! Hope you get the chance to enjoy this establishment in your next visit to Freeport.

Passed through Freeport and decided to stop for lunch, and I am very happy I did. This place has a lot going for it: warm atmosphere, great service, and delicious food. I went with the BBQ Pork Tacos, and I wasn't disappointed. I washed the food down with one of their tasty beer selections. I recommend sitting outside, on their deck/ patio, if possible, it's a pleasant place to have a summer meal, nice views. Highly recommend Gritty McDuff's.

Breakfast restaurant
Nestled in Freeport, the Freeport Cafe exudes a charming, homey ambiance with its country decor and inviting aromas. The menu is thoughtfully curated, offering a delightful selection of breakfast classics and mouthwatering lunch options like the divine Reuben sandwich. This classic diner has been serving up hearty portions since the 1950s, capturing the essence of Maine cabin meets diner vibes.
We stayed at the Best Western Hotel overnight and arrived around 9am on a Friday morning for breakfast. There was about 5 families queued ahead of us. The staff worked like a well oiled machine to seat the hungry customers. Portions were massive and well worth the 10-15$ per plate. I ordered the Freeport breakfast this was on the smaller side and I still struggled to eat everything). Pumpkin spice coffee was amazing, and the sourdough toast was top notch. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. This establishment deserves more than 5 stars. Excellent breakfast. Can’t wait to come back 🤗

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve driven past Freeport Cafe… well, you get the idea. My husband had been on my case about trying it for breakfast, and I finally gave in. Turns out, this place is way better than I expected. I had it in my head that it was some kind of tourist trap because of the location, but nope. It actually gives off super local vibes, and the food was REALLY good. I think this might be in my top three for best food-to-price ratio in the greater Portland area (does Freeport even count as that?). My “dish” was $11.99 and came with two eggs, two sausage links, two hash browns, and a homemade biscuit. The only thing I didn’t get two of was the biscuit, but it was huge, so I was actually relieved about that. I left stuffed. More importantly, everything was really yummy! The hash browns were crispy but not greasy, the eggs were cooked perfectly sunny-side up, and that homemade biscuit… I could’ve taken another one to-go. Make sure you ask for it grilled; you’ll thank me later. My husband got the biscuits and gravy and his food was just as good. Also, they have dozens of mimosa flavors. I had the pineapple mimosa and it was phenomenal. Service was great, too. Our server was friendly and super attentive. The vibe inside reminded us of some of our favorite diners in Massachusetts; no frills, nothing fancy, just a classic diner feel. Exactly why we loved it.

We were vacationing in Freeport and found this place. It's a really nice breakfast and lunch place. We liked it so much we decided to go again as we were leaving to go back home. Love finding a cute cafe with friendly staff and amazing food! Very comfortable dining alone in this cafe. Breakfast was amazing and a great portion size. If I hadn’t been going shopping for the day I would’ve had another meal. Also noticed while dining there seemed to be a lot of “regulars”. So nice to see the interactions between staff and customers. Definitely will be going back next time I’m down this way!

When you get here the line is usually out the door. It could take anywhere from 15 minutes to a half hour to get seated. I've been here a few times and I would definitely say it's worth the wait. The waiters/ waitresses are friendly and the food options good. In a world of overpriced food and shrinking proportions, this place is definitely bucking the trend. The line of people out the door, waiting to get in is proof to that.

Linda Bean's Lobster Roll Stand is a seasonal outdoor walk-up window located at the L.L. Bean flagship store in Freeport. It offers delicious lobster rolls and chowder, providing great service without waitresses. The stand has picnic tables for customers to enjoy their meals and is praised for its amazing lobster rolls. Visitors can also savor medium-cooked burgers, homemade chips, and hearty clam chowder while enjoying a street view from tables with wheeled chairs.
There is a difference between this walk up stand and the main restaurant across the street. The lobster roll at this stand is amazing! Service is great. There are no waitresses here. It is a walk up stand. I have also eaten at the main restaurant and yes the service was terrible there and the lobster roll was not as good there as it is from this little stand. There are several picnic tables you can eat at by the stand. You will be glad you stopped.

Great stop during a shopping trip. The wait staff will make sure you enjoy everything. The medium cooked burger was perfectly charred on the outside. The home-made chips are thick and crispy, not greasy. The stick-to-your-ribs clam chowder is full of clams! Sitting at a table with a street view? Even the chair legs have wheels.

I was surprised to find the restaurant almost empty at lunch time. The menu looks good, portions are a good size. I ordered the lobster roll. It looks like some folks are mixing up this place (walk up stand) with the place across the street (sit down restaurant). This place was good. I walked up and placed my order. Bakery
"When Pigs Fly" is a charming bakery known for its homemade breads, cookies, cakes, jams, and olive oils. While some visitors have had mixed experiences with the cookies, the bakery's fresh bread selection has received high praise. With around 30 varieties of bread baked daily, it's recommended to arrive early to secure your favorites as they tend to sell out quickly. In addition to their delicious baked goods, the store offers an array of jellies, spreads, and oils.
Always fresh bread, always free samples! Prices are amazing for the quality they are serving! Staff was over the top friendly! I do wish they sold half loaves though, I can never finish mine before it goes bad!

Would have scored a 5 but they were out of most of my first options. Nice stop for homemade bread baked daily. Probably 30 varieties or so, but you better come early if you want your favorites. Most of the baskets were empty by 4pm. Several options for jellies, spreads ad oils, several good looking cookies onsite as well, opted for a blueberry/lemon. Very nice people and locally owned.

The best bread. All made fresh every day. I had to buy 3 loaves of bread. I bought an apple cinnamon. One with cranberry’s and nuts and A multi grain with seeds and nuts I think. When you toast them , there’s nothing better. Now they’re making cookies. Best cookie I’ve ever tasted. Not to mention all kinds of jams and goodies. It’s a must see in Freeport. Have fun. Thank you for being there. All the women in the store are wonderful.😊

Cute breakfast cafe with delicious breakfast the classic two eggs hash browns with sourdough toast breakfast was delicious and the California eggs Benedict too. The raspberry muffin toasted was a treat. The derive was kind and friendly and made good suggestions Love the vibe and very affordable

Solid breakfast served quickly and with a smile. It’s mostly locals in the early morning - lot fills with pickup trucks. Then a steady flow of tourists, locals and shoppers (LL Bean is just down the street). Food was cooked precisely and was delicious. Not many frills, but it’s clean and priced competitively. Very happy every visit.

Went for breakfast and was not disappointed. Service was prompt, coffee was fresh, Server was lovely, and the food was delicious. You can tell a lot of care was given in the preparation. The cinnamon toast is not something to miss! We have found our new breakfast spot!!!

I have driven by the Sunrise Cafe 100 times but never went in because a wasn’t excited by the curb appeal. But, you know what they say: “never judge a book by its cover…” and I am so glad I came in today because WOW did I find a hidden gem. My waitress, Brittany, was an absolute joy! The food was fantastic… it wasn’t greasy… on the contrary, everything was fresh (the berries were perfect and the corned beef hash is “world famous” for a reason). Special requests: no problem. I will absolutely be back here and looking for Brittany again (although I presume all the staff are great)! Glad to say that I just found my new favorite breakfast spot in Freeport, Maine!

I ate here almost every day I was in the area. I was sat as soon as I walked in every time. By day 3 they knew to bring me coffee and water. My coffee cup stayed full. They have PLANT BASED sausage! I tried most things on the menu but the California omelet was my favorite! If I am ever in the area again I will 100% eat here with no questions asked! Service was fast. Food was fast. & both were excellent!

Great spot! Had the shareable platter that comes with tons of food and everything was very good!

This probably isn't going to be a fair review because I'm comparing them to a much better place down the road. I stopped in here because the Freeport Cafe was lined up out the door, and there's a reason for that. The food here was OK, but the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. It wasn't as tasty either, or as filling. I don't usually care about the decor, but the Freeport Cafe blows them away here too, also nice views of the marsh and surroundings. I'm glad I tried something different, but I should have waited for a seat at the Freeport Cafe instead. All that being said, if I were to between here and McDonald's, I would choose here.

I rarely give 5 stars but this was an exception. The food and service first rate. The menu was not overwhelming but offered almost anything one might want for breakfast or lunch. Portions were generous enough to satisfy a hearty apatite

Brickyard Hollow Brewing Company is a laid-back brewpub with a rustic-chic vibe that focuses on serving local craft beer and creative meat and vegetarian pizzas. The establishment offers an array of 22 signature pies, including unique combinations like Maine blueberries with roasted shallot and lemon zest, as well as smoked pulled pork with gouda, mac n cheese, and jalapeno cornbread.
Went in for dinner after a day of hiking and photography and found a table to set up at with our laptop to review photos over a drink and food. Noise level was low and the dining area spacious which was great for our purpose. Ordered the meatball sub and a pizza that was half chicken bacon ranch and half blueberry lemon rosemary ricotta. I definitely recommend the half n half combo so you can have your savory slices and then finish with something for neutral/sweet. The beer options were great and we wish we had time in our trip to visit twice.

not good in comparison to Yarmouth location, which is great. Ordered a well done cheese pie. Got a greasy not well done cheese pie. Tasted like a chuck-e-cheese pizza. They forgot to include mustard with the pretzel sticks too, just a cheese dipping which was watery. Guy in there was nice .

Excellent stop for lunch in Freeport. Service was quick and easy. Tried the Blueberry Ricotta pizza and the Butcher Block. Both were excellent! The Blueberry pizza may sound strange but when in Maine, it’s worth a try! It was surprisingly good.

We ordered a salmon bowl - they were out of salmon so got chicken, however I’m not sure which part of the chicken it was, and it was very overcooked and tough. The caesar salad was one of the worst we have ever had. The cider was really disappointing. The pizza was good however.

Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Royal River in Yarmouth, Maine, the Royal River Grill House offers a perfect blend of casual elegance and culinary excellence. With sweeping marina views, this beloved dining spot is known for its inventive menu featuring fresh seafood and wood-grilled specialties that showcase Maine's local flavors. Guests can indulge in delectable dishes like duck confit hash and truffle cheese fries while enjoying a house special Bloody Mary called the Royal Mary.
Wayne was our server and was Superb! Very knowledgeable of the menu with great recommendations. It was our Anniversary and we had a sunset cruise booked and Wayne was very understanding and helpful in getting us thru and on time. The food itself was just AMAZING!! All of it was great. I would definitely either bring an appetite or share some so that you can order extra dishes. Thank you again to Wayne and the rest of the staff for a great Anniversary dinner for me and my wife.

I just had the best experience at the Royal River Grill House yesterday. I drove down to the coast for lunch for my birthday and could not have made a better choice. From the Royal (bloody) Mary to the Greek salad with scallops, my meal was beyond delicious. The experience was even more precious by the delightful and attentive staff, most specifically my server Nicky (Nicki, or maybe Nikki… not sure her preferred spelling), beautiful view, and Happy Birthday Peanut Butter mousse (that was both the best dessert I’ve had in years and so very thoughtful)! I will definitely be back for both everyday dining and celebrations alike. Thank you to all for making my day.

Bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it — the portions are huge. I had the mussels and they were hands down the best I’ve ever had: fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Great spot if you're hungry and want top-quality seafood.

The food could have been hotter I’ve been there three other times and it was better but it was my daughter’s first time. We both love lobster. The lobster stew was amazing.

I've been here a few times and every time they knock it out of the park. If I'm going out for a "nice meal", Royal River is a no-brainer. It is adorable, comfortable, has a variety of seating options, and the menu is so, so good. Their mashed potatoes are life-changing. Seafood curry is delicious as well. I always look forward to a meal here!

Very nice restaurant with views of the marina. They have several seating options, a spacious indoor dining room, a large screened in porch, and outdoor seating in their yard along the edge of the marina. The food was fabulous but pricy. Service was on the slow side, but we were okay with time to chat with each other. We will use this location for special evenings with special friends and/or family.
Gregory W — Google review
I stopped in Royal River with my nephew for a late lunch. We were set in the back corner by ourselves. All we ordered was a cocktail, lemonade, lobster roll and smashburger. It took almost an hour to get our food. Our server only took our drinks and delivered them when I requested a manager. I explained that our service was sub-par and we had waited almost an hour when finally our food was being delivered at that time. I just wanted to pay for our drinks and leave. Nothing was done about the situation and I never seen the manager again. The waiter did frequent our table more regularly but by that time I was already rushed for time. My nephews burger was red in the center and my lobster tasted almost frozen like they were waiting for it to defrost. My fries were also little pieces like the pieces from the bottom of a fry bag. Overall, I most likely will not return with friends or family.

The menu highlights include their renowned lobster rolls brimming with fresh Maine lobster, delectable pan-seared scallops, and rich clam chowder that warms the soul.
Two of us arrived for lunch on a Saturday and the place was relatively empty. We were seated outside on the patio and were lucky enough to see a pair of bald eagles flying around! Our server was friendly, but just a little slow. We weren’t in any hurry so it didn’t bother us. I had the haddock meal with rice and carrots and overall it was very tasty. It was a nice place to stop!

So happy we stopped in here for a late lunch. It is such a cozy environment and the staff are all super friendly! The food was DELICIOUS and so fresh. We started with the French onion soup which was savory, and had great flavor. I also got the baked haddock which was one of the best haddock dishes that I've ever had. It was a beautiful, big piece of fish, cooked perfectly and the bread topping was buttery and absolutely mouth watering. The whole plate was divine. My boyfriend got the Mac and cheese which was a generous portion of cavatappi pasta in a rich, decadent, cheese sauce that was sooo good! Our server Joanne was absolutely lovely and the prices were beyond reasonable for the portions (which were all generous). We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Can't wait to come back again!

Our waiter, John, was on point. Attentive, pleasant, and responsive. The food was very good, and the blueberry pie was an added treat. Great view, even on a rainy afternoon. Well done.
Troy J — Google review
This place has a beautiful view of the water. We dined outside on a perfect day. Ordered drinks that were great. Blueberry-pomegranate mamosa and a mulled cider. Appetizer was fried calamari. While tasty, the house sausage was very vinegary and the breading didn't stick well. We had the New England Clam Chowder which was amazing. Superb. As a Maine native, I was happily impressed. The Maine course was Fried Haddock Caesar Wrap and the house Rudder Burger. The wrap was phenomenal and while the onion rings on my burger we're by far the best onion rings I have ever had, the burger was unfortunately a disappointment. I ordered my burger medium edging on medium rare. What I got was a practically inedible extremely well done burger. Normally something like this would cause me to bring the rating down to three or four stars, but our waiter was amazing and took care of it immediately taking the order off the bill completely. He was polite and attentive and never came to the table to ask any questions while we were eating. One of the better waiters that I have ever been served by. Muddy Rudder, aside from the food your server, Jordon, is worth his weight in gold. He deserves a big thank you from his manager. We will be back to eat again. We had a great time.
Brian L — Google review
This place is the homey 5 star place you need in your life. From the wonderful bartender, Tina to the truly delicious food, we were so pleasantly surprised by every bit of our experience. Not going to lie, we thought this place may be an overrun tourist spot that resulted in lost quality of food, but boy were we wrong. The prices also can’t be beat! We got the Rudder chips which surprised us both with the delicious Parmesan cream sauce. We followed that with a side Caesar salad. The salad had homemade dressing, big Parmesan flakes and perfectly toasted croutons- truly, the kind you can puncture without crumble. My husband got the seafood stuffed haddock. He said the haddock was so fresh and delicious, and had full shrimp! I had the Asian Crusted Chicken Sandwich which was literal perfection. The chicken was perfectly crispy, the bread was perfectly buttered and toasted and the sandwich had the exact kick you would want. Last, we had the Muddy Marquis and boy does it just finalize that this place is unsuspecting! Both my husband and I took our first bite and audibly said “wow.”

The Harraseeket Inn and Suites is a charming family-run hotel offering an elegant stay with a breakfast buffet, indoor pool, and tavern. The farm-to-table restaurant at the inn is a collaboration with local farming organizations, ensuring fresh and sustainable dining options. While the rooms are clean and comfortable, some guests have noted that they could use a refresh. Despite this, the bedding is praised for its comfort. Guests can enjoy meals at the on-site restaurant as well as tea service during their stay.
We stayed at The Harraseeket Inn and Event House from June 26 to July 4 and had a wonderful experience overall. From the moment we checked in, the staff stood out, everyone from the front desk team to the breakfast servers and maintenance staff was helpful, friendly, and attentive. We stayed in one of the townhouses, which had a cozy, traditional New England charm with smaller rooms and a shared bathroom. It was a quiet and comfortable setup, and the dedicated parking area for townhouse guests was a nice bonus. During our stay, we had one minor issue with the bathroom exhaust fan, but maintenance responded promptly and had it fixed without hassle. Breakfast was included and consisted of a standard continental spread, fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries, and juice. While it didn’t include hot items like eggs or sausage, there was a separate menu available to order from for an additional charge. One of the unexpected highlights was the afternoon tea, which featured a nice selection of teas, cheeses, and sweet treats. It was a relaxing and charming touch that made the stay feel even more special. Overall, a lovely and welcoming place to stay in Freeport with excellent service and New England character. We’d absolutely stay again!
Dustin S — Google review
We have been staying at the Harraseeket Inn for years and have always enjoyed its charm and great hospitality. Our most recent visit was no exception. Although under new ownership we were pleased that service and comfort have remained consistent. Although we miss the Broad Arrow Tavern, which is now only used for special events, we did enjoy the new restaurant, Porter's, very much. At breakfast we were thrilled to see our old friend/server, Celeste, who has been with the Inn for 30+ years. Celeste is a main reason we come back year after year. Greeted with one of her warm hugs and beautiful smile, it's like coming home to family. Thank you for another wonderful stay.

My sister and I stayed here and it was so lovely and charming! The fireplaces and the afternoon tea were such a sweet touch and we enjoyed every moment of it! The rooms were spacious and the beds were so comfortable! It’s within walking distance to all the shops and we’ll be back again! We had dinner at Porters Bar and Grille and it was delicious! Don’t forget to check out the Fire Pit and melt some s'mores. The atmosphere was so quaint and quiet and we loved every moment of it! It beats staying in a cold sterile hotel room any day! Thank you to all the staff for making our time here the best ever! Highly recommend!!

Mara and her team did an amazing job making our day so special. Everything turned out better than we could have ever imagined. The staff at The Harraseeket were warm, professional, and incredibly attentive to every detail. Mike, the in-house florist, put together beautiful arrangements, including two amazing planters on each side of the aisle. The venue itself is beautiful and the perfect backdrop for a New England wedding. We loved having our guests stay at the inn and the fact that the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all in one place made everything so stress-free and easy. We would absolutely choose The Harraseeket Inn if we were to do it all over again!
Gretchen K — Google review
We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Harraseeket! It gave a very cozy cottage core vibes. Great amenities - there was an outdoor fire pit and they offered free s’mores kits. The location was great - right in the middle of shops and next to the LL Bean headquarters store. The only knock we had was the bar service was slow and not the friendliest but still had great food/drinks. Would stay again!
Rodney H — Google review
The Inn and restaurant are top notch overall. The afternoon “tea” actually puts out a nice spread of cakes, cookies, cheese/crackers, fruit, etc. The food at their restaurant is excellent. We had the salmon and pork chops - terrific. The staff is very friendly, and the free breakfast is one of the best we’ve had. Their heated pool is great for a lap swim. The rooms are a little cramped but comfy. No room in the bathroom for your kits and no suitcase stand in the room. We had to put one on the only chair and the other on a table. Overall a classy and comfy place to stay.
Pat S — Google review
We stayed at the Harraseeket Inn for 3 nights. The room was outdated, but clean. Bathroom floor and bathtub was slippery, so that was quite concerning. The two (2) people who stood out were Celeste from the restaurant waitstaff and John from Guest Services. They went above and beyond in ensuring we were taken good care of, especially the little one. Celeste made special chocolate milk and food for our extremely picky eater. John was so welcoming, professional and offered great recommendations. Great overall value
Sheba M — Google review
We stayed here before flying home from Portland. The staff made sure we were aware of all the amenities and activities. We enjoyed the fire pit roasting mash mellows and chatting with other travelers. The food in the restaurant is okay and can be better. however, I feel they really tried hard to be competitive in price. Drinks are wonderful. The ambience is absolutely charming. It worked well for us.

Cozy and charming, revitalized Yarmouth mill next to the river. Food and service were very good. Interesting and unique choices of cocktails, small plates and entrees with flavorful taste combinations. Only criticism is the high noise level (need to install noise absorbers on the ceiling) and the menu choices could be more robust with larger print menus for people over 50. 😉 Not a great place for an intimate or a quiet dining experience.

Everything from the drinks to the desserts were creatively and tastefully prepared. The service was friendly and attentive! Favorites among the group...Mushrooms, scallop crudo, rabbit fettuccine, Maine mussels, gingerbread tres leches.

Food was absolutely delicious! I am a coward and did not order anything that in any way was hard to pronounce... But my dining companions ordered items more exotic, and I was able to taste everything and enjoyed it all. The dining area inside was very spacious and roomy with high ceilings, we actually went back several days later and ate on the outdoor raised patio. Moderately priced, I felt it was reasonable for the quantity and quality of food we received.

We found this place through a Groupon and are glad we did. The sampler appetizer was really good and surprised me because I didn't expect to enjoy the white bean our carrot salads which ended up being wonderful. The moussaka was also very good and large enough that the two of us couldn't finish.

Very below average stuffed grape leaves and gyros plate for a very above average price. Grape leaves were bland with mushy rice. For $20 a gyros plate should be really good, but the meat had below average flavor and had been cut hours earlier so it was dry and chewy. It was worth about $10 or less but at $20 it was absolutely unacceptable. I've had better in airports. This place used to have great reputation among locals so we we're expecting much better. Very sad.

This was a mixed bag for me. The waitress was absolutely lovely. Bubbly, funny, and attentive. The atmosphere was so comfortable and cozy. Clean with spacious seats and tables. We were a table of four. Looking at the menu we were excited to get some exotic foods with a twist. The food was a slight let down. More-so because it didn’t match the cost. $15 dollar martinis and $30 plates in the mid to upper side of the menu we were excited to have something yummmy. 4 plates, Salmon, with crunchy skin. Vegetable curry. Beef bourguignon and seafood orecchiette. The flavors were ok, the portions, eh and the preparations, well. The salmon was asked for a temp, med but way over and the skin was chard a bit but not crispy. Vegy curry, tiny portion and liters just some vegy as and curry with some black rice. The beef bourguignon, delish but omg only three little pieces of meat. $30 btw. The seafood orecchiette, bland and also dismal portion. We had a wonderful time Will go back. But not on the top of the list.

Porter Kitchen + Bar curates a diverse and eclectic menu for every palate. We were attended by Zachary (AKA "Cheese") on a Thursday evening and could not have asked for better service. He was the consummate professional that could conversationally float between the tables with panache. The food was delivered timely and with complex flavors that didn't leave us wanting except a tiny bit of salt for the flank steak (just my personal preference). The atmosphere is lovely and the convenience of having such a quality restaurant in the hotel is just wonderful! Cocktails were delicious!

Good food, done well. Dinner menu for lunch, with dinner prices. Service was prompt and courteous, but no change given on gift card usage. Not the server's fault. First choice on menu not available 😕, so no fish and chips... Chowder was thick and smokey, great flavors... Brazed chicken was fantastic. Pineland burger was ok, fries were not too crisp.

Food was outstanding! While this was one of the more expensive places we ate on our travels, the service and food ended up exceeding expectations. Their pork chop dinner was such high quality meat; tender, flavorful, smoky... just wonderful. Local draft beers as well as cocktails, wine list added to the experience. Dessert was good but not great like the appetizers, salad and entrees. I'd pass on them and grab an after dinner drink instead.

Food was outstanding! Service was great! Our table was out in the outside closed in area. When the heat was on it was ok but, when the wind came up it was cool. I highly recommend this as a must stop place.

Quaint and unassuming. Simple fair. Don't expect a 4 start restaurant. Definitely Good chowder. It wasn't flavor town but not disappointing. Food was fresh and place was comforting. Attentive service.

Derosier's is a family-owned restaurant that has been serving comfort food in Freeport since 1904. The menu features homemade pizzas, hot and cold subs, salads, and ice cream. Customers can enjoy a variety of beverages including beers, wine, and ciders. The outdoor sidewalk eating area provides a relaxed ambiance for diners. Visitors recommend trying the sandwiches and pizzas while praising the friendly staff and reasonable prices.
The building isn't anything fancy but wow - the food is fabulous! We ordered from the pizza menu, the salad menu, and the sub menu. Everyone in my family said the food was fab! There were people coming in the whole time we were there waiting for the food (which wasn't a long wait!) Obviously this is a popular place. Great for families - prices were reasonable, and the portions were large.

Stopped here for a quick dinner and ordered the "Roast Beef Toastie" which I was impressed by. The roast beef itself was quality and the sandwich was a good value. I definitely recommend for an informal and filling meal.

Food tastes like it was frozen and reheated. The staff appear more interested in socializing with each other rather than helping customers. A strong recommendation to find somewhere else to eat.

A sidewalk sandwich and pizza shop in downtown Freeport. My husband ordered a pizza and I was able to get a veggie wrap while securing a picnic table outside. The offerings are basic but the food was good. They did have good alternatives for soft drinks. I found a ginger beer that was good.

I have to believe Maine Pizza is just not good based on the pizza we got tonight and the high ratings online. Dominos or Papa Johns makes a better pizza. Sullen, apathetic employees.

How had I never been to this hole-in-the-wall restaurant turned gem? The food exceeded my expectations. Perfect spot for a quick and satisfying meal. Pizza slides to go. Walking distance to everything in Freeport.

Thai Garden Restaurant is a laid-back, family-run eatery that offers traditional Thai dishes made to order. The restaurant is known for its flavorful and generously portioned pad Thai, which can be customized to suit individual spice preferences. Customers have praised the gluten-free options and the attentive service that accommodates special requests. Despite initial concerns about the restaurant's popularity, diners were pleasantly surprised by the inviting aromas and delicious meals they enjoyed.
Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Food was amazingly good! Waiter was pleasant and patient with me as I had never been here before. Loved the crab Rangoon.

Lovely restaurant with lovely atmosphere and very delicious food. The staff was very warm and the food steals all the charm, it’s so so yum . From the prawns to the chicken to their vegetarian menu . All of the dishes were very nice . To add on to it , the boba tea was yumm as well

Solid lunch option and great value. I had the pad see ew and my wife had the sweet and sour chicken lunch special. My dish was quite good; I wish it’d have had more broccoli but that’s just a personal preference. It was loaded with chicken, great house made noodles and sauce. One of the better noodle dishes I’ve had; homemade noodles makes such a difference 5/5 My wife’s dish was great value but not a great dish. 4/5 Two people for lunch in 2024 for $40 is doing pretty well; I’d definitely come back.

We are from out of town and wanted to have great Thai food - Thai Garden did not disappoint! Our group got the chicken pad Thai, massaman curry, cashew nut dish, and the broccoli stir fry. We also got a Thai coffee and spring rolls. Everything was well flavored and appropriately spicy. Service was excellent. Really enjoyed the atmosphere as well. Good portion size and good prices.

We just had this tonight for a night in on our vacation here. WOW! Great food and a super cute little place. Owners were so nice and since we ordered out and had to wait a few extra minutes for the food, (it was busy) they gave us a free round of dumplings with our meal. If we are back in the are we will definitely stop here again!

Food was amazing, service was excellent and staff was friendly and helpful. 3 appetizers, 2 main dishes and 2 $6 drinks came to $80 before tip. The place was not busy at the time of my vist and so it was dead quiet. Needed some music or some type of noise but thats my only complaint. Would definitely eat there again.

Obsessed. Placed a to-go order an hour before they closed, and this will no doubt be our new go-to Thai restaurant I have so many wonderful things to say, first being my order was prepared within the estimated time. Second, the host was prompt and pleasant, even with there being a line of people. They also threw in some complimentary dumplings that were delicious .The restaurant looks clean and spacey, although I was only inside for a brief moment. The best part is the food! I love the eco-friendly packaging, and it kept the food warm for an hour, no joke. We ordered the bao pork belly, panang curry, drunken noodles, and Lo mein with spice levels 4 and 5. In my opinion, most restaurants go easy on the spice, but the 4 and 5’s here are spot on. Everything was delicious. The ingredients seemed fresh in all of our dishes, which contributed a lot to high quality taste. 10/10, would recommend.

Wonderful place to eat in cozy freeport. They have take out options and their dine in area is beautiful. They recently started up buffet hours and it’s a great experience. Highly recommend.

Nice little place. Clean and friendly. Decent price ($12.99). Not much to choose from on the buffet. Missing the usual boneless ribs and bone in chicken wings. Randomly has cold potatoes wedges, and some walnut chicken that's just not for me. The Teriyaki chicken was really good, and so weren't there a little egg rolls. Very limited dessert section and no ice cream (hard or soft). Overall not a bad little place for lunch but I wouldn't go out of my way to drive there.

Best buffet in mid coast Maine! Family who run it are super friendly and polite. Food flavor is a notch above what one would expect at a buffet. Walnut shrimp, chicken egg rolls, and sauteed mushrooms are my favorite!

I had called ahead asking how much the dinner buffet was. When I get there, I see that the buffet tables are down and that they are handing out menus. I ask what’s going on and they say that there’s only buffet for lunch so I’d had to drive what would’ve been a 30 minute drive from home to a 45 minute drive from this restaurant to go to a different place if they would’ve told me that it was buffet dinner on the phone. It would’ve saved me a trip

Li's Place is a hidden gem that offers top-notch Chinese cuisine and exceptional customer service. The hot and sour soup is packed with ingredients, thick, and spicy, while the crab Rangoons are described as creamy, large, and crunchy. The orange chicken, General Tso's chicken, lo mein, barbecued pork, spring rolls, beef and mushroom dishes are all highly recommended for their quality ingredients and flavorful taste.
We had a great experience ordering takeout from Li's! My friend who used to live in Freeport said it was the best Chinese around so while we were up here for the weekend we had to try it out. It did not disappoint! The Chicken Lo Mein was my favorite and the chicken fingers a close second! We were staying at a bed and breakfast down the road so after an evening of walking downtown it was so nice to grab some Li's takeout and head back to relax!

Got the House Rice Noodles level 8 spice, General Tso chicken, and crab rangoons. This is my favorite takeout spot in town. Crab rangoons are always crispy never soggy. The filling is generous and doesn't spill out during cooking. The house noodles will be my go to as they were perfectly seasoned, not dry and generous qoth the protein. General tso chicken was still crispy by the time we got home and sauced perfectly. Service always friendly and fast. Took about 10 minutes from calling to get our food.

Go here if you want food poisoning. We went here on our honeymoon and it was the worst decision of our life. We have no clue how it was rated 5 stars by so many people. The service was great we got our food in 7 min but should have known that there was a reason it was done that fast. I went in to use the restroom and it was dirtier then the worst convenient store restroom. There were holes in the ceiling and mold in the ceiling. The orange chicken was good but the teriyaki chicken is where the problem was. My wife is a Chef and said there was no way it was chicken, it tasted more like fish or a rodent. It looked the part too. Overall go here If you want nice Chinese people, overpriced food and food poising that leaves you sick for 5 days and unable to enjoy your life.

McDonald's is a well-known fast-food chain famous for its burgers and fries. One of its locations in Freeport, Maine, stands out as one of the top 10 most unique McDonald's in the United States. Housed in a historic Victorian-style building, this McDonald's offers a charming and beautiful dining experience. The restaurant is known for serving lobster rolls, making it an unusual find among other McDonald's locations.

This has to be one of the most famous McDonald’s in the world located at the end of the strip of the main street in Freeport. If you want to take a picture just cross the street that’s what most people do the reason it’s so famous is because it looks like it’s someone’s house. We usually use the drive-through and the orders have always been perfect. They have a large drive-through and plenty of parking it’s accessible and they have a bathroom. I’ve never waited in the drive-through more than a few minutes.

very nice building but my goodness the parking lot and drive thru area are way too confusing if your not familiar with it. my first time here it was way too chaotic outside. went inside to use kiosk. it wouldn't load my deals on any of the kiosks after trying multiple times so I ended up leaving. but I enjoy the building how it looks compared to other McDonald's that's nice

Stopped by a the other day and got breakfast. Ordered a breakfast sandwich that was supposed to come with cheese and it did not. Had some free time to call him this morning and ask for a remake of the sandwich and they gave me a hard time about it saying that I would have to file a formal complaint with them. Which made absolutely no sense because that’s exactly what I was doing. If you like your order being made correctly and want good service after someone makes a mistake dont count on this location.

We saw this place on our way to LL beans and literally took a double take! It just looks like a normal house, but a MacDonald, so cool! The inside is like a normal house too!! But no, they don’t sell lobster roll anymore. Still a cool experience though, we got a large fries, which is super fresh and a strawberry milkshake, normal McDonald foods.

This McDonald’s exceeded my expectations. As we were driving here, we almost missed the building because it does not look like your average McDonalds. Built inside an 1850s home, this McDonald’s had an ambiance that made me feel like I was having breakfast with Paul Revere himself. The atmosphere is lively, with yard games available to keep guests entertained as they sip on expertly crafted brews.
Such a great spot. The food is fantastic, especially for a brewery. They have great takeout as well. We stopped in today and dined in. They have some festive July 4 items on the menu. We got a Chicago dog, a cheeseburger, and two mini corn dogs, plus I had a larger “jellies” beer, while my spouse had a kolsh. I love that can come in, order your beers, sit down and scan a QR code to order food directly to your table. They have some great spots outside too but unfortunately it’s not dog-friendly (the ONLY thing that bugs me). I also LOVE their fish sandwich, maple wings, as well as their homemade chicken nuggets with bbq. They also do theme nights during the week and will run specials for things like teachers, or trivia, etc Well worth the stop if you are in the Freeport/Yarmouth area!

Stopped here on a whim during our stay in Freeport! Sat at a table and ordered from the QR code. I got a margarita (very good, tart!) and my boyfriend got Prime IPA. If you like an IPA, you’ll like the Prime For food, we got the Hot Chicken Sandwich & the Gochujang BBQ Wings - both were unbelievable. Hot Chicken Sandwich (spicy but good) was the standout, highly highly recommend! My boyfriend said the Smoked Fresno Buffalo sauce was great as well! Overall, good vibes, modern inside (outdoor area looked nice but was rainy outside so didn’t end up going!). Would recommend!

I’ve always gone to the Portland location and just heard about the Freeport spot recently. We were driving by today and decided to try it. Lots of parking, easy to find. Inside is cozy and decent outdoor space. Service was very friendly and quick. Food was solid but portion sizes were smaller. Burger was good but should be a double patty for 17$ and no side included. Kale salad was fresh and dressing was unique. Beer is always good, but 9$ a pint is steep. Not dying to go back but glad I tried it.
Justin C — Google review
We came for the spicy sandwich, we let our server know that we like the heat (my exact words were "I'm trying to cry"). The sandwiches came out VISIBLY flavored, and they were brought out by a cook who informed us that he grows his own Carolina reaper peppers on site to make sauces. The flavor and heat was absolutely amazing, and I did cry a few happy tears. The beer selection was awesome, service was quick and the brown sugar cookie desert was perfect as it was packed with flavor but not so overly heavy I couldn't eat it after a filling, hot dinner with a few beers. I picked up a four pack on the way out and I'm devastated that it's gone. This place is sadly nearly 4 hours from my house, but if we're anywhere within an hour and a half of this place for any reason, it's settled that it will be our dinner plan. I cannot wait to come back!
Nate — Google review
One of the most welcoming establishments I’ve ever come across. A clearly labeled sandwich board is presented when you walk in to let folks know how to order. You can either use QR codes which is an extremely common method of ordering in this day of age, or a pleasant employee is happy to assist you if you’re not tech savvy. Prices are on point, the quality of the food and beer is outstanding, and the cheeseburger paired with a Prime…match made in heaven. Don’t pass on Goodfire because you might have one of the best meals and customer service experience of your life.
Nicholas S — Google review
The food here is seasonal and exceptional. We tried a variety of the vegetarian shared-plate dishes which are unusual to find at a brewery. The ice cream was also crave-worthy. One of the beers that we tried was pretty flat. I wish the management would do away with the QR codes on the tables because it's nicer to talk to service staff about what's on the menu and ask questions, or get recommendations, rather than put it into a generic app. It also was harder to get a sense of the beers from the digital menu. It could be helpful if you suggest beer pairings for certain foods. We were really grateful that we could have dogs on the patio. Everybody was very polite about the dogs.

My daughter and I stopped in for lunch on a cold, gray Tuesday. What a great decision! We were greeted immediately and they told us to sit where we wanted. Our server Makayla was very friendly and nice. She accommodated our odd request to have our cheese for the BYO Burger on the side without batting an eye. We substituted fries for the chips and it was so worth the extra cost—we both loved them! The Grilled Chicken Shaved Brussel Sprout Caesar Salad was different and delicious. I loved bookcase filled with cookbooks to peruse and the heirloom Italian recipes on the wall were amazing! I’m looking forward to comparing them to my own Italian family’s recipes. We definitely recommend this restaurant!

FYI, I am going to post the most updated menu in photos. Take a look! This is an amazing little place, and it is so easy to access from the highway! When I walk in, I feel like I just walked into a converted factory with high ceilings and lighting. From the owner to employees, everyone is constantly wearing a smile. You are greeted like an old friend. The food is delicious. There is too much to say, so allow me to comment on the pizza sticks alone. Have you ever had a Sicilian pizza? You know the one. It's the thick, square pizza, the one who everyone fights for the corner because it's so crunchy. Yeah, if you get these pizza sticks, imagine two slices of Sicilian where you get two corners that you don't have to fight over. It's so cheesy! The sauce is mouthwatering. If you want a unique soda, take a look at the cooler. That's just the tip of the Nighthawks menu. Also, who doesn't appreciate a restaurant who spends the extra money to offer all Heinz products - down to the malt vinegar, the most coveted condiment for French fries. Now, let's talk about just one of the desserts. Are you familiar with cheesecakes? Of course you are! MOST restaurant cheesecakes fall off the back of a Sysco truck. NO WAY! NOT THIS ONE! They have at least three flavors of New York style each week. This is how much they love their customers. Katherine's Bakery in Norway, Maine, delivers them fresh-baked. Katherine's Bakery was just named as one of TripAdvisor's "Maine's Hidden Gems" this year. Go. Feast. Walk away momentarily completely satisfied, but wanting more and more.

Would I recommend? Yes yes yes a must stop at place! Would I return if I was local or travel traveling through yes Traveling for work and my work just so happened to be right next-door to this restaurant so no research done decided to stop in and boy am I ever glad I did The seating is small, but it’s comfortable. It’s clean. The staff are well dressed appropriately. They’re friendly and they know their menu. Service was fast. Food was hot and it was very, very tasty. The portion sizes were large and I love my food. I was able to take home half my sandwich in my brussels sprouts, and each of us took home one of those sweet honey corn fritter thingies. I hope if you’re in the area, you’re gonna stop by and check this place out it’s also attached to a brewery but my husband and I we don’t drink so we weren’t interested in that And Price was right on point for the food

A True Gem: Nighthawks's Kitchen is a Must-Try! We stumbled upon Nighthawks's kitchen, and it is an absolute gem! Don't let its small size fool you; this place makes up for it with sheer excellence in every category. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The ambiance is just fantastic—cozy, inviting, and very comfortable. It set the perfect tone for the meal. Adding to the great atmosphere was the service, which was incredibly friendly and attentive. We felt genuinely welcomed the entire time. And then there's the food... simply excellent. We're still dreaming about the Reuben sandwich. To call it the "best we've ever had" isn't an exaggeration; it was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We also tried one of their burgers, which was clearly well-crafted and absolutely delicious. You can taste the quality and care they put into every dish. Nighthawks's kitchen is a fantastic find that hits all the marks. We will absolutely be back and can't recommend it highly enough!

Domino's Pizza is a popular delivery and carryout chain known for its wide variety of pizzas and other dishes. Customers have praised the great service and delicious food, making it a go-to option for a quick and affordable meal. Despite some concerns about staffing, the hardworking associates ensure a pleasant experience with fast and consistent service. The location also offers a clean and charming environment, making it an ideal spot to enjoy some of the best Domino's Pizza around.
Braxton was the best delivery driver ever! We did have our pizza remade, but he was very fast and understanding! 10/10 highly recommend

I absolutely hate trying to order from here, no one answers the phone and anytime you place an order it's always delayed hours. I used to love dominos but this location is absolutely trash.
Pablo S — Google review
This is the best and most consistent Domino's I've ever been to anywhere I've lived. We order about once every six weeks and have for the last six years or so. I had two orders come home a little off and both times they made it right. Order with confidence.
F D — Google review
I've ordered pickup from this location before and it was fine, I will never order delivery again. Delivery order placed at 5:46PM, estimated delivery 40-50 minutes. Delivered at 8:11PM. Attempted to call the store and only an automated response system answered. Even when asking specifically for a human representative, was cycled to a new automated system with a different voice.
Charlie — Google review
They make it very difficult to get pizza. Tried calling twice and no one picked up, they turned off online ordering, and when I went inside there were three people there and it took 5 minutes to place an order and they acted like I was the biggest inconvenience. Also, when I asked to use an online coupon they told me I couldn't... so I had to pay almost twice as much. Pizza was tasty but would not return to this location.
Josh S — Google review
Wish the quality of ingredients were a little better but hey it’s fast food pizza. Use the app for great deals. Freeports go to late night food!

10.20... and you're not taking orders. I walked in.. my kids hated me for the rest of the night. Thank you
Lorddan5687 — Google review
I have ordered at this location for our middle school socials. I have always pre ordered the pizza. I have never had an issue. One receipt shows the pizzas are paid, which they were prepaid via credit card. They made the person picking up repay for the already paid pizzas. They are not helpful, but downright rude about it. Now I have to report it to my credit card company so I can get reimbursed since they refuse to reimburse me. Who ever owns this place should teach some customer service. Derosiers is way better pizza anyway, go around the corner on Main street for Good Pizza and great Service!

Seafood restaurant
Mainely Seafood Company, situated at 12 Mallett Drive in Freeport, is a popular spot known for its delectable seafood offerings and ice cream treats. The friendly staff members are always ready to assist customers with a smile. Visitors rave about the fresh lobster rolls that are generously filled with hand-picked lobster meat, served alongside a pickle, chips, and coleslaw at an excellent value. The establishment also offers a great selection of seafood options such as cod for fish stew.
Not on Main Street but definitely Maine's best in Freeport. The lobster rolls were packed with claw and tail meat on a perfectly toasted new England roll. Rodney is hustling like a team of three, delivering tasty meals inside, outside and for tale away. What a great experience. A first choice in Maine.
Paul P — Google review
Ok, drove up the entire coast of Maine and had a fair share of lobster rolls - I can confidently say this is the BEST lobster roll in the entire state of Maine. We loved it so much we had it for breakfast at 10am. There is a guy who wrote 1 star review seems like he doesn't like to pay for anything other than McDonald's prices for a lobster roll. The amount of meat on the bun is about 2X that of any other shops I've been to. Super fresh and actually makes you full.
Dawit S — Google review
Wow! So delicious! I would normally want a butter roll but these were with mayo. I'm so glad we stopped here, the lobster and crab rolls were fresh and generously portioned! Would definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
Pat Q — Google review
If you are looking for a place where you could choose a live lobster, have it cooked, and enjoy it on the spot, this is the right place. Both the service and the food were very satisfying! Outdoor dining was decent; however, the sunbrella fell over onto my dad and nearly hit his head because it was windy and not properly secured. The owner took it away after it fell down but if it’s windy, make sure to seat where the umbrella is folded.
Sunny — Google review
One of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever eaten. Butter toasted roll over-stuffed with perfectly cooked lobster meat. Cute outdoor seating area. Lots of options on the menu and takeout items.
Karen T — Google review
At first glance I thought there might be a more special option on my roadtrip to stop, but dang, this meal was really delicious. Sweet and attentive staff, fast service, and a nice shady spot to eat our lunch. We ordered one lobster roll and one crab roll, both served with a pickle and potato chips. I’d come back for the crab roll every day if I lived here. DON’T SKIP IT!
Lou C — Google review
Recently visited this cute shop and can’t say enough about the friendly staff, clean market, and delicious food!! The lobster roll was incredible and we took the lobster dip back home to enjoy. We will be back!

Fast friendly service. The owner Rodney was great, although we need a moment of silence for Charlie the lobster. 😉 The lobster roll and crabster rolls were awesome. Would definitely return.

Athena's Cantina is a newly opened Latin fusion eatery in Freeport, offering generous servings of Latin fusion cuisine and refreshing sangria in a relaxed setting. The cafe has received praise for its fresh and well-seasoned dishes, such as birria tacos with beef and veggie options. Visitors have also enjoyed the warm welcome from the owners and the inviting interior.
I’m always on the hunt for a taco, and let me tell you—this place NAILS IT. The steak is perfectly marinated, smoky, and tender. It’s the kind of taco that makes you stop mid-bite and just appreciate life for a second. If you love carne asada, do yourself a favor and get here ASAP. Five stars, no question.
Dori G — Google review
Without a doubt, the best burrito I’ve had in Maine. The owners—an husband and wife team, are so lovely and the service is phenomenal. Carne asada was marinated to perfection and perfectly done. I requested a super hot sauce, and she made it for me on the spot. Wishing you both continued, well deserved success!

For those looking for a wonderful spot to eat with a relaxing atmosphere reminiscent of being a relatives home. Then you need to come check out Athena’s Cantina. From amazing food to welcoming owners, you won’t find a better experience. That saying, “never judge a book by its cover,” certainly applies here. Not one to usually write a review, I can’t helped but feel compelled to write one, because it truly was a memorable experience

Best Carnitas I’ve ever had and that’s coming from an Angelino who’s been eating carnitas his whole life. Get the Birria tacos. Also, Thais and Adam the owners were so so kind.

Absolutely delicious tacos! And the woman who runs it is just so sweet and amazing. She was great with our baby and made eating out with littles so comfortable. Plus she had fantastic wine recommendations!

They serve great latin fusion food. The food truck is at most Freeport area events and serves an ever changing menu of tacos and other street food. Everyone is very friendly and the service is top notch. They are at the Freeport Oyster Festival today and are usually at the Freeport Makers On Main event each month. Stop by for some tasty food.

Wanderlust Juicery in Freeport, Maine is a haven for clean eating enthusiasts. The menu features an array of options including smoothies, smoothie bowls, salads, toasts, coffees, espresso and teas as well as juice popsicles. Customers rave about the fresh and delicious Acadia Acai bowl with its blend of acai, blueberries, strawberries, orange, banana, granola, coconut and chia seeds.
Found this absolute gem in Freeport thanks to its current and WELL-deserved 4.9 rating. There were so many appetizing things on the menu, we had to go a little overboard with ordering, and we're so glad we did! Everything was just phenomenal. The Blueberry Ricotta Pistachio Toast is one of the best things I've ever tasted. Staff was extremely friendly with smiles all around, and the overall vibe of the place was just perfect! Made me wish we had something even remotely similar near us, but we will definitely find a reason to go back!

So cute from the outside and great location! We love Jordan and Lisandra who are always so friendly and have great recommendations when feeling indecisive. Perfect spot for a meal or a little snack/drink. We enjoyed the Eagle Island sandwich, which was SO good! Those bagels are 10/10. We love periwinkle pie co's hand pies and always love getting new flavors. They are perfect to throw into the freezer and have for dinner when you don't feel like cooking.

First off I knew this type of place wasn’t for my husband but he willingly went with me back I wanted to try one of the bowls. My bowl was delicious but everything else…. Not so much I love an iced coffee but couldn’t even drink it. My husband got an egg sandwich on sourdough (he’s not a bagel guy) and not sure it was even an egg… 🥴 the worst part of the experience was when they gave us my husbands espresso we asked it be warm not hot hot. He took a sip and it burnt his tongue so bad… but that’s not even the issue bc coffee is hot 🤣 when I asked him of it was good he said it had no flavor so I lifted the lid and it was BOILING hot water! There was no apology just ohh that’s not for you… needless to say if we go back, I’ll just be getting a bowl and that’s it.

Best place in town. Mr. Tom and his wife Michelle are wonderful. We absolutely love everything in the menu! If you get a chance to go to Freeport, Maine, do not miss the opportunity to try the best Smoothie Bowls, Smoothies, Sandwiches and Juices in town. Everything is super fresh and delicious 😋. Cannot wait to go back!

Small, quaint, locally run pastry/coffee shop. We stumbled across this small store and absolutely loved it. While they DO have amazing juices, we had a coffee and pastry. There were 4 of us, we all had something different and tried the samples of other items. NOTHING disappointed!! The owner and staff were friendly, warm, and helpful. Don’t pass up the opportunity to check this place out!!

WE LOVE WANDERLUST! The best humans work here, and they make such yummy food and drinks. Bagel sandwiches, waffles, smoothie bowls, juices...you can't go wrong for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. They have a neat doodling station set up at the seating bar and hang up customers art on the wall; it's makes for the coolest environment. We go here at least once a week. Highly recommend for locals and tourists alike.

Slow Bell Cafe is a charming coastal island restaurant that offers unexpectedly affordable prices and generous portions of delectable food. The staff is known for their vibrant personalities, adding to the enjoyable dining experience. In addition to serving ice cream, they also offer "adult" sundaes with a shot of your choice of spirit or liqueur. Despite being slammed by a large group, the bartenders remained amazing and efficient while the serving staff continued to be friendly and patient.
Delicious brunch with homemade donuts and very speedy, friendly service. Lots of outdoor seating too! Was a nice stop on our bike ride and only about 15 minutes from the ferry

10/10, I recommend this place! Such a cozy atmosphere, great food and great service! I had the smashed burger and a canalized pineapple margarita--they know good food! I will be coming back to try everything else in their menu! Thank you for the memories!

They were slammed by 50 plus people from a tournament and they did not miss a beat! Bartenders were amazing and kept it coming and the food was excellent. Haddock sandwich was delicious and all of the servi g staff remained friendly and patient!
Brent C — Google review
If you have a chance, you should stop in. The breakfast sandwich is great. It is a nice, quiet location, and the owners are very helpful.
Deas N — Google review
The hours online said it was open - it was not. We traveled to the island, walked 1.5 hr to get to the restaurant and it was closed! If this is a seasonal establishment this needs to be reflected on google, we would not have come to the island is we knew there was nothing open. Also no ubers or lift. If you do not bring your car on the ferry you will be walking A LOT.
Erin B — Google review
OK, this isn't a 5-star restaurant, it's a solid 4-star place and I'm giving it 5 starts for that. Unexpectedly low prices for a coastal island restaurant, enormous servings of delicious food, and a 'staff of personality' like something out of a sitcom that'll make you want to tip extra just for having met them. They serve ice cream, and 'adult' sundaes with a shot of your choice of spirit or liqueur, or just a blob in your coffee. The locally famous May Hall is herself a vegetarian, so there's always alternative dishes planned, yet she cooks meat like a carnivore. If you get there early enough, and they've managed to keep whatever obnoxiously toothsome dessert from the ravenous clutches of the dishwasher, you can have an obnoxiously toothsome dessert May has created. Live music most every weekend, and occasional in-house entertainments like karaoke and Pub Trivia, or just hanging with the colorful locals, it's a great place to visit. If you're touring the islands in Casco Bay, make sure to swing by when they're open.
John F — Google review
The wait and kitchen staff did a great job getting our party (10) fed and out in time to catch the last boat off the island. The food was good and the helpings were ample. Well worth a stop!
Robert M — Google review
SLOW service. Told Waitress 2 times what was ordered. Of course my dinner didn't arrive till after the others were done . Last we were told if we didn't like the service we should go to the INN. Were not Islanders . They got served before us. The scallops wete good but cold. No use in complaining. We will go back to support the Bell. Fun times always with the mudic.
