The Wharf is a recently renovated and updated eatery located on a historic pier owned by the Jekyll Island Club Resort. It offers riverfront dining with a nautical-themed ambiance, perfect for enjoying Southern comfort fare, seafood, and specialty cocktails while listening to live music. The venue provides both inside and outside seating options, allowing guests to enjoy picturesque sunset views over the river.
A beautiful restaurant sits along the ocean in this excluded gem of an Island. The inside was just as lovely as the patio facing the water. We were greeted and seated in a timely manner and the host and server were both so polite. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich that has applewood bacon and pimento cheese- so good. My boyfriend had the fish and chips and though I didn’t taste it - had to be equally as good cause there were no crumbs left behind. I also ordered the wharf Island drink that had bourbon and sweet tea with a lemon wedge. 😩 it was delicious I could have had a few. Give this place a try because you won’t be disappointed. Oh - they also have live music on the patio.

An unforgettable dining experience! We started with the raw oysters, incredibly fresh, perfectly chilled, and bursting with that clean, briny flavor you only get when they’re top quality. They were the perfect way to kick things off. The fresh, bone-in flounder was the standout, beautifully cooked with a crispy, golden exterior and tender, flavorful meat that fell right off the bone. It was obvious this fish was caught recently and prepared with care. The sides were equally impressive, thoughtfully seasoned and paired to enhance the dish without overpowering it. To top it all off, the views were absolutely breathtaking. Whether you’re enjoying a sunset over the water or taking in the natural surroundings, it adds another layer of magic to the meal. Between the exceptional food, attentive service, and stunning scenery, this place is a true gem. Highly recommend!

The food was excellent. The view was amazing. Eating on the dock is a favorite for me, but a few birds got closer than I'd like, but we did choose to eat where they live. The portions are huge. Could have easily split this salad with another person. We also got the keylime pie, but no pics because I wasnt going to chance a birds getting a bite before I did! And yes, it was the best on the island!
Erin V — Google review
I enjoyed a dinner at The Wharf with my partners family. I shared a pickle chips appetizer and ate the shrimp and grits for me meal. Our server was fantastic! Both attentive and friendly. The food tasted delicious. We were so full that a few of us took home leftovers and also got dessert to go. While we ate inside, the outside had stunning views!
Melissa S — Google review
The view from this restaurant is beautiful. The service was great. The food was good but we did not feel that it was anything to brag about. It still gets 5 stars because nothing was actually wrong with the food…personal preference was just that it was nothing too special. We ordered fried pickles for our appetizer, my wife had fish and chips, and I had shrimp and grits. We arrived around 6:30 on a Monday and there was no wait so that was very nice!
Robert R — Google review
Great spot right on the water with plenty of outdoor seating. They have fans if it’s too hot. The food was amazing! My apologies to our server, Nicole C. who though I didn’t like it because I couldn’t finish it all! Bring your appetite! Nicole was the best server! She was very attentive and made us feel like ole friends. My husband, as he often does left it to her to pick his meal and she did not disappoint. Shrimp roll for the win! And the Key Lime Pie closed the deal! Thank you Nicole and The Wharf for a fabulous, casual, waterfront dining experience!
Lina R — Google review
A very enjoyable meal. We were there for lunch. The restaurant is located on the waterfront with an awesome view. They have a good menu, and we went with fried shrimp, fish, and oysters. They have seafood chowder and key lime pie that I highly recommend. Our server Tera was very nice.
Donald R — Google review
The food was over all good. I had the local fish fry. As you can see the fish is very BIG!! The green beans very well seasoned and tasty. The red potatoes were good .Tasted the fried pickles and green fried tomatoes they were good as well. Would have given a 5 star but we were seated outside bc there was no seats inside and it was pretty chilly. They no longer offer the heaters due to the covering.

5 Stars, Very tasty, excellent Quality ingredients, which give the delicious flavors. First time here and it was great. Stuffed collard Greens and stuffed flounder were fantastic. Drinks, appetizers, and side were also tasty. Instagram @foodieadventuresusa

The staff was Nice and the food was good. Expect for a long wait. Everything tasted really good. I wish my shrimp and grits had come in a big bowl instead of on a plate. It was super busy when I went on a Thursday evening. The prices were marked off for the deserts and I looked online and thought my dessert was going to be $5 but instead it was over $8 which was disappointing. It was bread pudding which they make in house and I have to admit it was very good but not worth $8.
Tiffany T — Google review
Even if there were more restaurants on Jekyll Island, I have a feeling there's always a wait at this place! We took a stroll around the beach after getting our names on the list. Inside, you feel like you're "outside", dining on a porch. Service was attentive and excellent. The fried smashed okra was perfectly battered. The shrimp and grits seemed a better value than the shrimp cakes in terms of how much shrimp you get, but both were tasty.
BHF — Google review
I can't speak highly enough about this restaurant!!! If you have any non-seafood lovers in your group...this is the must-go place to eat. The service was amazing, food an absolute culinary delight, and the atmosphere surprisingly quaint. 5 of us tried a wide range of dishes that rocked the taste buds. We will be back...no doubt.
Clyde A — Google review
We walked in on a Saturday night a little before 6pm to find it packed but with no line (we expected one based on previous reviews). We were seated after a short wait. The service is very positive and friendly who work as a cohesive team. (= 5)The value for money here is amazing (=5) I could not believe the $19 price for what they label a bottle of premium wine. (Most places charge a 2.5-4x markup) Also I love that you can order a petite or regular platter that still affords you the opportunity to sample 2 of the ~20 classic southern sides. The food was very tasty. The ambience is upbeat and lively (5). So glad we tried our luck to dine here impromptu.
Nina V — Google review
This place was recommended by the bartender at our hotel who informed us we should get there early because it's so popular. We got there after 6 however. We waited an hour which was fine. We got cocktails at the bar and walked to the pier and watched the high tide. Then returned for another round. The bartender was wonderful, attentive, and made amazing drinks. We got the grilled shrimp with squash casserole, and fried okra; and the stuffed flounder with macaroni and collards. EVERYTHING WAS TOP TIER! The squash casserole was the best I've ever had (other than my mother's) and they gave me the recipe card. The entire staff was so friendly. The dining experience was amazing. If we visit Jekyll Island again this is the one place we will DEFINITELY return to.
Al S — Google review
The wait to get in was long (though that seems to be the case on Jekyll Island), but after that the service was great and the food came out fast. The food is delicious, unfussy, but still nice. We all had a shrimp dish, and all were amazing. The sides were great too. The kids menu was also terrific, with fish and shrimp as options. We thought everything was very reasonably priced, especially the drinks. Would definitely recommend, just get there early and plan for the wait!
Jennie S — Google review
Nice little place the locals sure seem to love. I was nearly steamrolled by a mob of senior citizens when the doors opened at 5 pm, so I knew we were in the right spot. That said, the food was pretty good. Definitely, the best food we have had during our time on Jekyll Island. Our server was awesome and super friendly as well. Amazing peach cobbler to finish our meal.

Start your day at Sunrise Grille, a cozy American eatery offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as outdoor seating. Surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful landscapes, the restaurant provides a perfect blend of nature and culinary delights. Conveniently located near various attractions and activities such as Jekyll Island Historic District and Driftwood Beach, it's an ideal spot to fuel up before exploring the island.
Great little place for a quick meal. 3 adults and 2 children. High chair available for 2 yr old. Kids menu offered was perfect for our two. Adult menu had a variety of options. I tried the crab meat patty burger and it was delicious. Others had the chicken cheese steak and Philly cheese steak sandwiches and both enjoyed. Service was spot on. Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Establishment was clean and kid friendly. No restrooms in cafe. For these you have to exit and go around the corner to the public restrooms. Overall, I would return on my next trip to eat again.

Great little place on the island. Wife and I stopped by for dinner on a Monday at around 6. We were seated right away at a table inside. They do have outside seating but it was a tad hot 😁. Our waitress came over right away and took our drink orders and was very attentive throughout our meal. Wife had the Turkey BLT Wrap with fruit and I had the Blacked Mahi Sandwich with Cheese Grits. All of the food was very good and was served very quickly. They have a good selection of draft beer and a full bar. I had The Mango Cart draft which was very good. What impressed me the most about this place other than the food was the way the entire staff worked together to make sure we were taken care of. I think there were 3 servers, a bartender and a hostess. During our meal every one of them had a part in helping either by bringing out food, refilling drinks and checking on us. It was a very enjoyable dinner and was not over priced like other places in area.
Roland C — Google review
Crab cakes platter and teriyaki burger. The crab cakes platter was really good! Good flavor and not dry like some places. The fries needed another minute, they were almost soggy. The sauce with the crab cakes was good, tasted like ketchup and mayonnaise with some spices. The burger was thin and definitely a frozen patty. I would come back for the crab cakes. We would never order a burger from this place again. Sitting outside is right by the convention center drop off and parking lot, not the best atmosphere for outside seating but it is shaded.
Rachel — Google review
I saw at the bar for a quick lunch. Ordered a slaw dog with Mac and an ordered of GA wild shrimp fried with their cheese grits. Needed a hotdog after the seafood I’ve been eating on the island. I’ll just say the service at the bar was fantastic and the fried shrimp was arguably the best I’ve had in my life. The seasoning they used is spectacular. This will definitely be on my list when I come back to the island. I’m telling, get the fried shrimp!
CH3F ( — Google review
They have definitely went up in price. I am pretty sure french fries haven’t went up that much. A side of fries is $5.29 I believe. So I was expecting a decent size. They also charge a 20% to go fee for “utensils and condiments”. This is a money hungry business and the guy at the bar is rude and unpleasant. Hopefully they read the comments and do better.
April Q — Google review
We ordered 4 meals. The salad was good with fresh ingredients. The grilled flounder was not well seasoned. My son said he enjoyed the turkey BLT wrap. The chicken tenders were good, but for an adult portion, there were so few and they were tiny. The thing that will make me reconsider returning is the 20% service charge for to-go orders - that is pretty steep. For our meals, the service charge totaled $16. I wanted to give 3 stars because of the service charge, but since the food was decent, I gave 4 stars.
Alysia J — Google review
My family visited Jekyll Island for a soccer tournament, and Sunrise Grille was a walkable distance from us at the Days Inn! The blackened scallops my husband had were delicious, and my Alaskan snow crab legs were EXACTLY what I hoped they would be! Staff was helpful and kind.
Abbey Y — Google review
This was one of the first restaurants we stopped at during our first visit to Jekyll and I REGRET it. First, because my mom didn't feel too well, we decided to do takeout. The prices seemed reasonable. We ordered two drinks ($13 each), a crab cake (about $12) and a chicken ceaser wrap (about $14). They charged us $68 DOLLARS by adding in a 20% "service fee" for non-dine in orders. To make it worst, it was just one crab cake and it was SMALL. It was salty and tasted like slop thrown together. The drinks were below average as well (strong liquor and not well blended). The only redeeming factor was the wrap, thank God. The food honestly tasted depressed, as if the person making it just broke up with their girlfriend before they started their shift. I felt robbed to spend my hard earned money at a place like this. Later during our trip, we had lunch at the Irish Pub across the Westin (10/10, good food, GREAT prices and NO SCAM ADD-ONS) and El Corridor (same thing!). Please do your research before you buy! The restaurants and stores are very greedy in this area and will try to bleed tourists dry any chance they get!

Red Bug Motors Pizza is a cozy local bar and eatery on Jekyll Island, offering a warm ambiance reminiscent of an old English pub with a fireplace. They serve up delicious pizza pies, hot and cold sandwiches, salads, and pasta made from scratch. The dining room is open Monday to Saturday year-round, with the option to dine on their outdoor deck. In addition to bottle and tap beers, they also offer wines.
Let me tell you about polite service, perfect signage, cute aesthetics, and quality pizza. I am impressed beyond reason. This restaurant knows how to put on a show…and I feel blessed that I was able to make it to this incredible venue. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area and to everyone who visits this destination.

One of the best small pizza places, I've been to. I believe he was the owner, was so up best, polite and inviting. He was an older guy, and had that old Italian vibe, which added to the service. The food was amazing and prices were just right. I ordered a small pepperoni with Italian sausage, and was easily one of the best pies I've had. Also got hit wings, and they were fantastic. My sister also got the cheesy sticks and a calzone which were also fantastic. The best place on Jekyll Island for sure. I recommend anyone visiting Jekyll to stop there. They have an indoor eating area and a outdoor spot with a playground for anyone with kids.

7/10/25 We had the large Veggie Lover pizza. It was tasty but what else can I say being from NY. What I really want to highlight is the service there this evening was outstanding. Ashton and his co-worker (female did not get her name)in the dining room /bar area were incredible, so helpful and hard working. We had a comfortable relaxing pizza dinner. Thanks

The meatball appetizer was incredible, sorry ate it all before pics. Pizzas were great. Friendly service. Loved the calzone, and the marinara with it was awesome.

This place is a hidden not so hidden gem. The pizza was delicious!! Came fast. Was hot. The cheesecake was delicious. I recommend to anyone who visits the island
Kara — Google review
Picked up a pepperoni pizza and a Red Bug pizza. Staff was nice. Both were very good, good crust and lots of cheese! Had to pay extra for a dipping sauce - marinara was good but the ranch was not homemade. We also ordered cheese bread which was good but could have used some garlic or Italian seasonings.

My husband and I make sure to eat at Red Bug resturant each and every time we vacation at The Westin on Jekyll Island. On our past trips, we ate at the restaurant and enjoyed the warm environment and the sweet attention of the owner. Unfortunately, this time, we were not in good health, so we opted for delivery. As always, the food was scrumptious. Thank you for offering customers a reason to enjoy your fine food over and over.
Jane B — Google review
The placement of this pizza restaurant was very convenient, next to a putt putt golf and playground. We had our grandkids for the day so everyone was happy to find this. We ordered the gluten free pizza with ham, pineapple and mushrooms. It was pretty tasty and I was grateful for the option. The service was find as well

Really loved this place! The food rocked and the atmosphere and location were perfect. Next trip to the island, this will be our go-to place. The Key Lime pie is the absolute BEST!

We decided to check this place out for dinner and it was amazing! The food was great, the service was great. We had mozzarella sticks and crab cakes for our appetizers. I ordered the blackened shrimp with grits and Lima beans with bacon. My wife ordered the Mahi with Greek salad and Lima beans. Our son got the grilled hotdog with fries. Everything tasted phenomenal! Will definitely be back!
Robert R — Google review
We had crab cakes and shrimp. Both of which were outstanding. They're lima beans were some of the best we've ever had as well. The cheese grits did not require any salt.We really can't say anything negative. I didn't feel like the price was astronomical either. It's definitely a five-star rating in our book.
Steve — Google review
Lunch here was ah-mazing! Our server was so attentive and kind. I ordered a mahi sandwich extra blackened with fries and it was HANDS DOWN the best food we’ve had in 5 days between St Simon and Jekyll. I don’t normally find fries to be “good” but these- I couldn’t stop eating! Delicious! Both kids loved their burgers and the key lime pie is homemade and so good. The photo is of our second piece, but we forgot both times to take a picture when it was first brought out.

Really enjoyed having lunch there. The food was excellent, we enjoyed eating outside, the service was great. No reservations are needed, and we didn't have to wait. 5 🌟 $$

Stopped here for dinner and drinks. I had a piña colada, peach daqueri, peel and eat shrimp, and grilled red fish. Everything I had was really good and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice. They were super busy when I went so you might want to go early.
Katherine C — Google review
Our third visit. Once again everything was great. GA Shrimp amazing, IMO best food at Jekyll Island.
Chris T — Google review
We ate here 2 yrs ago and food was delicious. This year was a big disappointment. The shrimp was okay but we cooked some of our own that wad much better. The green beans served were supposed to have bacon in them but didn't find any and they tasted like they came from a can. The redskins were served in a dish with the type of butter flavored oil you get at a cinema on your popcorn. Not good. As for the crabcakes, they were mushy. No chunks of crab. The only texture found were the multiple pieces of shell throughout the crab cake. On the plus side the hushpuppies were great. The draft beer was flat. I hear they have the best keylime pie but after the dinner experience I opted not to get a piece to go. Don't know if mom's retirement had a hand in the downfall but it's sad to see the quality drop.😔

Eighty Ocean Kitchen and Bar is a stylish resort eatery and bar situated at the beautiful Jekyll Island Club Resort. The open-air dining room offers a picturesque view of the pool, creating a delightful ambiance for diners. The restaurant features an open-concept design with a wood-fired hearth oven, adding charm to the space. Guests can enjoy fresh-caught seafood, burgers, and pizzas from their New American menu. The bar is known for its personable bartenders and classic cocktails.
It was me and my family’s first time going to Eighty Ocean. While my steak came out a bit more well than I wanted, the chef was ready to make it right, and brought out a replacement steak in such a timely manner. Faith was the manager on duty and was extremely personable, as was the rest of the staff we interacted with. Our server was Nicole and she checked on us multiple times throughout the night, gave good meal suggestions and was very communicative, especially since we had a member of our party with an allergy. All in all, they left such a good first impression. My mother and I will absolutely be returning to dine here again.
Jules D — Google review
Enjoyed a slow dinner at the bar, wait staff was really thoughtful and explained the menu to me for each course! Overall everything required salt and I’m not a salty food person and everything was slightly overcooked. The deviled eggs were my favorite of the meal! The apple tart was yummy too! I had high hopes for the carrots but they were all over done, over charred and needed more goat cheese. The mashed potatoes were good but I didn’t get the richness of the cream cheese I’d hoped for! The red fish was prepared lovely but I didn’t understand the meal overall. The creamed corn was too sweet for the meal and did not compliment the charred mushrooms in any way. All the elements were great, just not together as a cohesive bite. Overall, would return but listen to my gut when it comes to the menu, not the young bartenders.
Laura R — Google review
We had a wonderful dinner at 80 Ocean. The gluten-free menu is excellent, and they’re very accommodating—happy to modify dishes if needed. I had a side salad and the redfish, which came with creamed corn and mushrooms. Everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. We also shared the gluten-free meatballs and GF rolls—both were fantastic! My husband ordered the crab cakes (not gluten-free) and the cream cheese mashed potatoes, which he really enjoyed. The ambiance was lovely, especially with the outdoor seating near the pool area we were just inside the doors in a small nook that was quaint. A special shoutout to the kind young man opening the front door—he was a delight. We ended up having a great conversation with him while waiting for our hotel shuttle, and it meant a lot, especially since he was working on the 4th of July. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and dietary needs, though he seemed a bit rushed and not overly friendly. It was a busy holiday, so we completely understand and appreciate the service regardless. Highly recommend 80 Ocean for a relaxing and accommodating dining experience on Jekyll Island.
Robin B — Google review
My family came here to celebrate our wedding, and this place was the right choice. Staff was on their A game and very friendly. When my husband's steak came out medium well instead of med rare, it was quickly whisked away, and it's replacement was brought by who we assume was the manager on duty with an apology. Other than that, the food was lovely, the drinks were tasty, and the ambience was exactly what we wanted: a bit refined without being stuffy. Would definitely choose again.
Dixie A — Google review
The atmosphere is open and airy. Reservations were running a bit behind but went to the fantastic bar and ordered drinks. We were able to transfer the drink ticket to the table. Service was 100 percent. Confident and professional. Clean and tidy restrooms. Recommend and will be returning to try other items on the menu

We had dinner. The food was delicious. The meat and fish were cooked very well and it was a nice experience. The desserts were wonderful.

Staying at the club, we were advised re this restaurant. If one thoroughly read these reviews, one will pick up the same issues… confused service and annoyingly having to deal with it, overpriced food, ill prepared, etc. In my case I was served the worst food and my husband the wrong order… server stayed she was new and they were short staffed. Replacement not worth it… time or taste. Earlier before seated, I spent a lot on gift items they were selling. This, plus exp unsatisfying dinner. Back in our room we tried contacting - unable to the night there due to their absence- manager who did not return call. Finally after too much focus, when able to report issues, only a pittance was returned to our cc. Restaurant very loud as well. Due to limitations while staying at the club, we moved on, ate at very basic grand dining room - no carving table at Thanksgiving, and overbooked… had to wait for table although prior reserved and guest, not locals….really disappointing except for breakfast cafe. Eight oceans cast a bad taste in more ways than one- then less mediocre dining experiences.
Sarah L — Google review
Eighty Ocean is a wonderful place to have brunch on the weekend while in Jekyll Island! Tasty food, healthy options, and great drinks! Our server was awesome! He really worked hard to make sure we had an enjoyable lunch experience. He even comped one of our drinks because he thought it did not come out fast enough. How rare and awesome is that!! We really appreciated the courtesy and his consideration. This restaurant has a very large bar and lots of window seating with a great view of the pool outside. It's definitely a nice spot for a meal or just to come in for drinks at the bar.

The Reserve is a modern steakhouse located at The Westin Jekyll Island, offering indoor and outdoor oceanfront dining with stunning views. The menu features the freshest local ingredients, including Wild Georgia Shrimp, blue crab, and USDA Prime steaks. With an open kitchen concept and Asian-infused decor, this restaurant provides a captivating dining experience. Whether enjoying breakfast, lunch, or dinner, guests can savor delicious meals alongside the beautiful ocean scenery.
The food was cooked perfectly and was absolutely phenomenal, the staff was very attentive and friendly, the restaurant was quiet and clean, the bathrooms are nice, menu isn’t too big and had a good variety, the beer and wine were good, the filet was the best steak I’ve ever had. Wish the appetizers were bigger though.

Came here for a late night dinner and a breakfast. We loved the service - Winston took great care of us and checked in at the perfect times. The decor feels a little dated and cheap but the outdoor dining views are excellent. Now the important part; for dinner I had the grouper with sweet potatoes and grilled vegetables, the meal was filled with flavor but the size in comparison to price was rather disappointing (If it was about a half plate more this would be a 5 star review). My wife had the sirloin and it was cooked precisely to her order, however, still felt over priced. The lobster Mac & Cheese is phenomenal and I highly recommend it if you're a fan of a creamy mac. The selection overall is pretty good and there is plenty of different alcohols to choose from. Great choice if you're staying at the Westin and convenience is your priority. For breakfast we had the southern scramble which was very good and a decent portion size. The quality was superb, the price left you yearning for more.

Great views, terrific food, and a very high end experience for a business meal. I enjoyed amazing shrimp and grits, a wedge salad and pecan pie. My colleague chose calamari and was very impressed. The sweet tea was great and their scotch selection was the best on the island. Update 8/23: Still phenomenal! Remarkably, we got the same terrific server and enjoyed another wonderful meal. This time, we opted for the seafood platter, with swordfish as the catch of the day. The oysters, shrimp, apple coleslaw, and fish were top notch, and I can heartily recommend the peach trifle and chocolate cake for dessert. Their coffee is excellent as well.

Nestled within the serene ambiance of Westin Jekyll Island, The Reserve promises a gastronomic experience intertwined with exceptional hospitality. Manager Su's diligent presence further elevates the dining experience, ensuring every guest feels valued and attended to. They offer Breakfast & Dinner and I have attached the photos of the menu. Each dish showcases a harmonious blend of quality ingredients and innovative techniques, leaving a lasting impression on discerning palates. However, amidst the culinary delights and impeccable service, a couple of minor setbacks dimmed the otherwise stellar experience. The limited menu options might leave some guests craving for more variety, while the absence of adequate staff at the restaurant's entrance led to a slight delay in seating. With Manager Su at the helm, guests are assured a journey marked by warmth, sophistication, and culinary indulgence.

I must say I was a little hesitant to add this to our itinerary based on the Google reviews. After reading the reviews some seemed a little nit picky, so we decided to give it a shot. We couldn't have had a better experience or meal. Cameron the waiter was fantastic. The food was even better. The French onion soup was very good and the filet was to die for. I've had a lot of filets in my life, this was right up there with the best of them. The wife got penna vodka with chicken and that too was phenominal. We would highly recommend the reserve, in fact we plan to go back for our last night here. It was so good I felt I needed to leave this review to offset some of the negative ones.

Food and service was incredible! Beautiful restaurant both inside and out, gorgeous ocean view. Our waitress Katie was such a delight! Celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here~unforgettable wonderful experience! The grouper special was so yummy, and the Georgia peach dessert was amazing!

Jekyll Market, formerly known as Jekyll Island Supermarket, was rebranded in 2012 to become a culinary hub on the island. This charming marketplace offers a variety of eateries, specialty shops, and local vendors. It's not just a grocery store; it's also home to Boardwalk Deli, Good Day Coffee and Baker, A Sweet Shop Named Sprinkles, and more.
The market has everything. Love shack bbq shrimp & yard bird is inside the market. The food is so yummy. I had the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. Wish I would have got some to go lol. Don't sleep on this place.

This is your one-stop-shop for all your grocery needs. When you enter, you're immediately greeted by an enticing display of handmade treats. Turn left to head straight back to order some barbecue, or straight ahead for additional offerings. The store is crowded with wall-to-wall shelving chocked full of merchandise. Part of the store is just that, though -- a marketplace grocery store. So if you want something other than barbecue, deli sandwiches, or dessert, you'll have your pick. We did try the BBQ, because the reviews were so great. I thought the sauce made the sandwich, but family members disagreed. Fries were crispy and the sweet potato fries were a nice alternative. Pro tip: Order the kid's BBQ sandwich; it's adult sized. The plate can also be split by two adults, unless you've got a really big appetite.

Jekyll Market is the local grocery store. They have everything you would need if staying on Jekyll Island. Prices may be a little higher than the big stores because it’s local. Staff is friendly and there’s even a little restaurant inside where you can get food to go. Good atmosphere. Centrally located.

If you need anything while on Jekyll this shop probably has it. Ice cream, groceries, handmade cakes, candies, beer, fresh produce, candles, and clothes as well as all types of souvenirs. They have it all. Only complaint could be lack of pricing on some items. No problem tho’ just ask the friendly staff and they’ll help you out. A little claustrophobic with all the inventory but a great shopping experience. Four stars only due to the skinny isles and overwhelming amount of items. Definitely worth the visit. I bought a great hat that I didn’t know I needed!!
Joanne M — Google review
This market is typical of a beach destination souvenir shop/convience store-style market. The aisles tightly pack in beach wares and locally labeled items. The ice cream counter and bakery look enticing as it is filled with treats that you can definitely buy online. They would be a nice indulgence while on vacation. Please keep in mind the price tags reflect this eclectic, ocean-adjacent location.

Absolutely crazy…. If you forget something and have to come here be prepared to spend a fortune. Spent 90 dollars on 5 items that’s just crazy. I suggest making sure you bring what you need .. only positive the people are friendly and they have a small food eating place in the back but my goodness there’s no reason for these prices on items

Tortuga Jacks Jekyll is a vibrant Mexican restaurant offering a taste of Mexico in a relaxed and festive setting. Located on Jekyll Island, it provides beachfront views and a menu that celebrates the flavors of Mexican cuisine. The restaurant offers an array of Mexican favorites, including Baja Fish Tacos and Banging Shrimp Tacos, as well as popular local dishes like Big Boy Burrito and Jack's Chimi.
We always come here when we're on the island. The food is always good. The staff is friendly and willing to answer questions to help you decide what you want. The live music was loaded with so much nostalgia that we had the best conversations all night, even after we left. Always a good vibe!

As anyone who knows Jekyll Island knows there's not a lot of food options on this rather quiet island. And like any touristy island, the restaurants don't have to compete or maintain impeccable standards because they don't rely on repeat customers, they rely on the happenstance tourist who might never be back to the island again. This restaurant is good but mediocre. It didn't knock my socks off but it wasn't terrible either. Upon arrival, I was seated immediately but all of the tables that were empty were dirty and not wiped off. I asked one of the waitresses if she could kindly wipe the table off before I sit down and she "half wiped" it. I asked if she could then wipe off the part she missed and her response is that she is from the Caribbean and that was considered clean to her. (I then asked where in the Caribbean and she said the Bahamas.. which then I immediately thought how wonderful, as of course, the Bahamas is NOT in the Caribbean Sea.) The actual waitress was pleasant and friendly. The tortilla chips came out quickly but they seemed like hard, bagged tortillas with no flavor or salt. The salsa was in a small bowl and was not very flavorful either. The food was okay but not anything that made me feel like I need to come back again the next day. There was outdoor seating but the bugs on the island were out in full force as the sun had set and sitting outside is asking to be eaten alive by the mosquitoes. The parking lot at night is so dark. They have low light and orange lights for the turtles but trying to get to your car after meal and after sunset, you need to be careful to not trip and fall in the darkness. Would I come back next time on the island? Maybe. I would consider giving a second chance.

Went for lunch on a Tuesday. This place has ample seating and it's absolutely beautiful to sit on the deck outside. Bar is positioned great. Stage for music. top notch location. Food was all very good. We had taco sprcial- 2 tacos for $6.99. We went at a very busy time. service was a little slow but staff very friendly and considerate- everyone was leaning in to help. Really enjoyed. I would return.

We were seated quick with it being a Saturday evening. I wish I could say it was a great experience. We were seated and it took 25 min for someone to come get our drink order. Finally the bartender saw what was happening and he went inside to see who had our section . He came back a little upset and said no problem I will take care of yall. He was awesome he made what was turning out to be a horrible experience to night we will remember. We had great food and drinks . It was like a movie scene . Seating outside , hanging lights , live music, the weather was breezy and the views were amazing . Oh and Georgia beat Tennessee!

We had a great dinner at Tortuga Jack’s Baja Mexican! I ordered the Mex Bowl with grilled chicken and really enjoyed the fresh and unique flavor, it was a fun twist on the usual. The guacamole wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but still tasty. My husband had the Diablo Shrimp, which came in a creamy, spicy sauce that packed a flavorful punch. Overall, everything was well-prepared and satisfying. We’ll definitely be back!

We spent the day on the beach this past weekend and decided to grab a bite before heading home (as we live in the area). The wait to sit was no problem and we were taken right in to the table. We had a Mexi Bowl with Chicken, Mexican Street Corn, and Quesadillas. The chips were a little stale tasting and really had no flavor. We did order guacamole and it was good. There was a lot of food in the bowl and it was good, full of black beans, lots of chicken, rice, etc. and really enough I think for 2 people - so worth the order. The quesadillas were very good and crispy. The street corn was good although a little too much lime juice on it for our liking (made portions too tart to eat). I ordered a Miami Vice and it was good although a little pricey ($12). Our waitress Harley was very good and pleasant. Would not make a special trip to eat here again but would stop in for a quick bite if on the island.

The Beach House Restaurant + Tap Room is a laid-back, coastal-themed eatery and bar located near the beach. It's a popular choice for both locals and tourists, offering a casual dining room as well as a stunning patio with ocean views. The menu features a variety of options including local seafood, artisan pizza, burgers, and salads. With one of the largest selections of draft beers in Southeast Georgia, it's an ideal spot to enjoy craft beers on tap.
Great food and atmosphere. Nats were a little heavy outside unfortunately but we got to sit in the netted porch. We ordered tons. Oysters were big and delicious, shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, Georgia shrimp with old bay… everything was amazing.

Wife and I stopped by for a dinner on a Sunday at 6:30. We were seated without a wait. We sat outside on screen porch where there was live music which was nice. Wife had a burger and I had the fried chicken sandwich. Wife had collard greens as a side and I had fries. Burger was good and greens were very tasty. Chicken was a bit over cooked. They have a full bar and a large selection of draft beer.

The food was quite disappointing; they were out of syrups for chicken and waffles, and the avocado on my toast was brown and spread so thin. My friend’s wrap was so soggy and dripping juice everywhere. They also forgot our grits and were missing one of our chicken tenders. There were only 2 servers in the entire restaurant during peak lunch hour on Sunday so we waited about 45 minute to get our food.

"I had a wonderful experience at Beach House Restaurant! The atmosphere is fantastic, especially with the oceanfront views. We enjoyed sitting on the spacious patio, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, particularly the fresh mahi-mahi, which was a standout. Fine dining restaurant
The Grand Dining Room is a Victorian-style restaurant located within the historic Jekyll Island Club hotel. It offers a fine dining experience with continental and Southern cuisine, accompanied by live piano music. The restaurant has received AAA Four Diamond rating and serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Victorian tea. Reviewers praise the ambiance, likening it to dining in the Titanic's grand dining room at the turn of the century. The venue holds historical significance as it has welcomed prominent figures for over a century.
Eating breakfast here was a glorious experience, echoing grandeur of the Gilded Age through the opulent Roaring Twenties. My family and I had breakfast reservations for four at 8:30am on a weekday. The dining room was set to perfection as we were greeted with a welcoming smile and offered to pick any table we preferred. We selected a table by the window. It was wonderful to see a dining room set with white table cloths and China again. It seems rare nowadays. Once settled, we were promptly offered tea, coffee, or a collection of juices before embarking on the breakfast buffet and omelet station. There were no lines yet being so early on a weekday, but my oh my, what a beautiful feast! I was apprehensive that the food would be generic given the continental selection, but I was pleasantly impressed by the tastes, presentations, and twists to the menu. The French toast and overnight oats were my favorite, with a close third place by the bacon. In addition to the delicious food, the wait staff was attentive and happy. The tables were nicely spaced to keep the dining room at a quiet noise level. And the coffee and pots of tea kept flowing. A big plus! The only negative I can find with my dining experience is that I was mistaken that the extra fruit juices I ordered a la carte were part of the breakfast buffet. I wish I had known that only the juices on the buffet tables were included. However, when you are dining at such a fine dining establishment, you do not mind the extra price. I encourage dining here and will be a repeat customer! Thank you to the staff of the JIC for a splendid morning!

Open breakfast was absolutely horrible, only thing edible was the fruit and eggs, gravy and sausage were repulsive. $109 for 3 people with no drinks, (most free hotel breakfasts are way better) To top it off, upon checking out they tack on a 20% mandatory tip on breakfast without telling you. Staff were nice, sun room smelled like mold.

Only open for breakfast at Jekyll Island Resort Club. Service was great. Our waitress was really nice. The grand dining room is so spacious and beautifully decorated. The food is very pricey. So consider this before going there for breakfast. Also wish the grand dining room would be open for dinner but only opens for private events.

Lovely Sunday Brunch buffet. Pianist had a gruvy sound. Very nice atmosphere. The wait staff were helpful and friendly. The food was decent - well prepared. Seasonings were a little generic. Don't expect gourmet. Prices are outrageous for the food - it's a 1 time kind of thing. But It's definitely a cool experience The dining hall has fabulous history, and the architecture is all authentic to the period. There is a gift shop as well. I called and got machine, so I recommend making a reservation through the website.

We went at 10am in the morning and though the place was about half full, it took us quite a while to be seated. We had some friends who got seated before us, but never got menus, so they left again before we even got in. Once seated, the waitress let us know she saw us and would be with us in a little. By the time she came back, we were ready with our orders. I had grabbed out some paper for the kids to draw and asked her if she had a couple pens we could borrow. She asked if it was for the kids because she could go grab them some crayons. They were much happier with more colorful options. I thought that was so sweet of her. We got a couple omelets, eggs benedict, local berries, coffee, and pineapple juice. Everything was delicious. Bill came out to about $70, I think. It was worth the wait, and the service and food were top notch once we got it.
Shey W — Google review
We ordered cocktails from the bar and we're sitting in the large room with the fireplace. We had to go and get the drinks from the bar, no service, had to pay first and also had to listen to some server/ bartender stories about recent wedding events while we waited. Not the flair that we envisioned when we decided to go there for drinks. The pricey cocktails were not worth the money. Old dried garnish, no style, wrong drinkware used. Disappointing. But the clubhouse is great and just sitting there feeling the old days was great.

The Pantry at the Jekyll Club is truly a hidden gem! Enjoying coffee or brunch out on the porch… it’s honestly my favorite place to be. The food was delicious, and the service was even better. We loved this little spot. Perfect location within Jekyll Island. It’s a cafe with a small menu. Prices are what you’d expect. We shared the Cuban which was fresh and hot with a lot of meat. The outside was crispy. We also had a banana smoothie and peach smoothie both with edible straws which was a nice touch. They tasted very cold and refreshing with great flavor. The staff is super nice and went out of their way to be friendly. We also finished it all off with an iced butterscotch latte with almond milk. Flavor was barely there but the smoothness was perfect. Overall we loved it!

Gena L — Google review
I came here for the first time a couple years ago and had some of the best baked goods I’ve ever eaten. Of course this time around I was expecting the same level of quality and I was extremely disappointed. I work in food service and I can assure you that you will be paying high prices for low-end products coming from US Foods/Cisco. Most if not all of the baked goods they sell are not made in house anymore and unfortunately you can tell (not just the obvious look, but the taste). The first time I came to this spot they had hands down the best lemon bars around. When I walked in the store and saw the cheap pre-made US Foods bars I was so, so disappointed (I cannot stress enough these things are gross. They are sickeningly sweet and the texture is not great). I ended up getting a blondie bar instead, hoping it would be like what they had in the display case that looked decent, but it was not. It was soggy, tasted like fridge and also was obviously a pre-made packaged bar. The chocolate torte in the case was also pre-made, and the croissant my friend got was again, pre-made from US Foods. There is next to nothing in this cafe that is made in house. On top of the really bad pre-made baked goods, the staff had absolutely no idea what they were doing. I do not like to put down workers because at the end of the day, it’s not their fault what products management makes them put out, and I understand being new to a job. However…panicking over two tickets with less than five items on each of them is not a good look on the restaurant. It’s also not a good look when the cashier has never touched a POS system in their life. We waited about 30 minutes to receive a terrible blondie bar, mediocre plain croissant and a grilled cheese with pre-made bacon on it. Everybody that came in after us got their orders first (which was still a long time for some drinks) and seriously, the two people working behind the counter had absolutely no idea what they were doing. I believe a handful of people wanting to order walked out because they were taking so long to input our order (3 food items plus 2 drinks) because the cashier didn’t know where a single button was. It’s unprofessional and unfair to both the employee and customers to not train them at all before they’re put in front of people to handle orders. So, as much as I really hate to say it because I put this place on a very high pedestal, The Pantry is absolutely not worth your time or money. This hotel is absolutely beautiful and the services on property should match that standard. And like I said, this spot used to be on par with everything else, but it has gone all the way down hill. I have never been as disappointed with a cafe as I was with this one. The prices are insane for the cheapest pre-made products you can get and the service was utterly awful. There are plenty of fantastic restaurants on the island with better prices, amazing house made food and incredible service. Do yourself a favor and go to one of them instead of The Pantry.
Liv D — Google review
This is the spot if you want to feel loved and special while your order is taken and while your food is made. Also when you leave! The staff here is amazing! Especially the women on the day/s I visited. Both mornings I was greeted with love and happiness as my order was taken. We got coffee both days and also the breakfast sandwich and the breakfast burrito. Let me tell you, the place is packed and line nearly to the door and the folks behind the counter are on their A game the whole time. The young lady who was cooking every order (by herself) was unflappable. She grinded through multiple orders at a time making each item as the tickets flew in. The young woman on the coffee station would give any busy Starbucks a run for their money. Each order made to order and delivered with smiles and pleasantries. Can't say enough about the staff here. The food was great too! The breakfast sandwich comes loaded with the only way bacon should be served and that is crispy!. The breakfast burrito is stuffed and packed full and will easily satisfy your morning hunger! They have plenty of other options as well. Highly recommend The Pantry during your stay here!

Love Shack BBQ Shrimp & Yard Bird is a charming spot that offers regional seafood, BBQ meats, and drinks in a relaxed setting with outdoor seating. It's the go-to place for authentic Georgia barbecue and southern hospitality. The menu features mouthwatering smoked pork barbecue, wild Georgia shrimp, rotisserie chicken, chicken fingers, and Brunswick stew. The restaurant is known for its delectable shrimp dishes bursting with delightful flavors.
Love Shack is a hidden gem tucked in the back corner of the Jekyll Market. It’s a casual walk-up spot with no indoor seating, but you’re just steps away from the beach or the nearby outdoor tables, making it the perfect place to grab a bite and enjoy the island atmosphere. This quaint BBQ and shrimp place came highly recommended by locals, and it’s easy to see why. They offer several gluten-free options and have a dedicated fryer for gluten-free fries and sweet potato fries. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about celiac and other allergies, which made the experience feel both safe and welcoming. I had the rotisserie chicken, pulled pork, and coleslaw with their house BBQ sauce. Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. My husband ordered the pulled pork BBQ sandwich with the spicy sauce and loved it. Their ranch dressing is also made in-house and worth trying. While you’re there, be sure to browse the Jekyll Market for groceries or a few fun souvenirs you probably don’t need but won’t resist. If you’re visiting Jekyll Island, Love Shack is a must for a quick, tasty meal with a side of sunshine.

I was going to get the seafood because.....uhh.....Island. Seems like a no brainer and that's why it was my first choice but because I've been eating seafood quite often lately I wanted to switch things up. We'll....i shouldn't have. I had the pulled pork sandwich and mac n cheese. The pork was mid at best and lacked a real defining flavor. It came came on regular white bread slices instead of a bun. If I would've known that, most likely I would've ordered something else. The mac n cheese tasted like boiled macaroni in cheese sauce with too much salt. The only flavor I could taste was salt with the mac, and you could see the noodles sitting in the bowl looking like soup. Highly disappointed in that experience. When on an island.....eat Island food!

I ordered the southern barbecue pulled pork plate with Brunswick stew. I love barbecue. I try it everywhere I go. But in all honesty this was the worst or next worst barbecue I have ever put in my mouth. Dry, no pork flavor just sweet sauce dry meat. I have eaten better out of can. The stew looked good. But it was really very bland. Not a lot of flavor. Wife said chicken strips were good.

Outstanding fried GA shrimp, fried green tomato basket was huge and served with homemade ranch, and the slaw was light and refreshing. Friendly crew, quick service, and super tasty fresh bites. This small take-out restaurant is located inside the back of the Jekyll Market. Definitely one of the best meals we had on the island!

The fried shrimp was delicious, black eyed peas and rice, and coleslaw slaw. Hidden in the back of Jekyll Market. We ate outside. Yum!
Lori T — Google review
The best shrimp on the island!!! Located inside of Jekyll Market, great selection, great pricing & staff, large portions & everything we had was terrific. That Mac n cheese was AMAZING!!! You have to try the fried shrimp, sweet potato fries (don't forget to sprinkle a little cinnamon and sugar on them for a special treat), Mac n cheese and the chicken fingers!!! Next time, we're trying out the rotisserie chicken!! We enjoyed it so much that we are there twice during our stay on the island.
Becky P — Google review
Overpriced for mediocre food. The Shrimp and the Fried Oysters were good but the pulled pork was bland, Chicken Fingers were overcooked, bland and the breading didn't even stick to the chicken. The fries were soggy, unseasoned, and undercooked. Mac N Cheese was decent and the workers were nice though!
KL — Google review
I had the chicken fingers, crispy on the outside but chewy/dry inside, fries were good. Hubby had pulled pork bbq and mac and cheese, says it was very good. If you're looking for fried foods and comfort food, then this is for you, if you're looking for veggies, then nope, not for you.

When visiting Jekyll Island, a must-visit spot is the Island Sweets Shoppe. Located in the historic district, this delightful shop offers a variety of old-fashioned candies, hand-dipped ice cream, chocolates, fudge (with peanut butter being a favorite), pecan turtles, and pecan pralines. Visitors highly recommend stopping by after a bike ride to indulge in freshly made sweets and chocolates like peanut butter cups, truffles, fudge, and praline cookies.
Very cute little shop. They serve Blue Bell ice cream. We had the peach and salted caramel. Peach was nice, sweet, and tart with chunks of peach mixed in. Salted caramel was super sweet and decadent. I think they were $4 for a cup. Sat on the bench outside. Nothing to complain about here.

Great service! Great ice cream! Waffle cones plus tons of handmade sweets. Open until 8 pm.

This place is great! I go here every time I’m on Jekyll Island. They have a good selection of chocolates, fudge, and truffles. I loved the dark chocolate raspberry truffles! The prices are not too expensive either, especially for where it is located! A few minutes walk from the sea turtle museum. I also got a double scoop of their ice cream. They didn’t have a huge selection of ice cream, and the price was kind of high (around $6 for a double scoop.) However, it was really nice for a warm day. They only had one person working, but she did a really great job of taking my order as quickly as she could. She was super friendly and gave me some great recommendations on her favorite truffles. The space is a little cramped, especially if there is a line. But overall, this is a fun place to stop for some goodies!

Cute little dessert shop located in the historic Jekyll Island Club Resort. They had several types of fudge, truffles, and ice creams. There are also sweet treats like bear claws, pralines, and some candies. I tried the coconut and raspberry truffles. I also had the praline ice cream on a sugar cone. Everything was so good!

Didn't get to go here at all!! My nephew-in-law thought it was permanently closed. (I was so hoping he was wrong.) I read quite a few negative reviews, but I would like to see how horrible the lady is myself. I might try going there again when I'm in the Jekyll Island area next year or so. See you later???

Nestled in Jekyll Island, Wee Pub Beach is a must-visit authentic Irish pub offering a diverse menu and an array of delightful drinks. It's not just about the food and drinks; it's a place to socialize, make friends, and revel in enjoyable conversations. The menu ranges from True Americana to traditional Irish fare with daily specials. Live music on Thursdays adds to the lively vibe.
Wife and I stopped by for early dinner on a Wednesday at around 5. We were seated right away. Our waitress, Bailey, was fantastic!!! She was very attentive to our needs and friendly. She said she only been waitressing for about a month but must be a fast learner because she did it like a seasoned pro! Wife had the Bacon Cheese Burger with a side salad and I had the Ruben with Onion Rings. All of the food was served quick and came out hot. Everything tasted great and was cooked perfectly. Place has a full bar and good selection of craft beers. I had the Mango Cart draft and it was cold and tasty 😀. Prices are in line with other island restaurants. Overall very enjoyable dinner and we definitely come back.

Great experience and atmosphere! Our server was quick and very pleasant. Our food came out fast, hot and flavorful! They also have homemade ranch, which is a big highlight! Lol Definitely one of our favorite stops in Jekyll Island and will be back!

Great find on Jekyll! We were so happy that they were open late and family friendly. Crab dip was delightful and had a lot of crab in it. Ranch was amazing :) it’s the small things like the condiments that make us happy.
Jeannie S — Google review
Simply put, the best dip I’ve ever tasted is their Crab Dip. Creamy, cheesy, and fresh, this appetizer is remarkable. The August special shrimp & grits are also worthy of a try, especially for the price and portion size. Guinness Crowns, that I have yet to see anywhere else, are served as well.
Braxton Z — Google review
I've been coming here for years and it's still one of my favorite places on the island. Food is amazing, staff is charming and the atmosphere is like coming back home. Love it! Stuck with my go-to fish & chips with malt vinegar and was not disappointed in the least, then we shared a giant slice of ooey-gooey butter cake. I definitely need to learn how to make that. Of course, it is a pub, so had a few shots of bourbon to help it all settle.

We were looking for a quick bite, but good food. This place came recommended. We ordered the crab dip for an appetizer EXCELLENT! I ordered the Philly, my husband ordered the Black-N-Bleu Burger. You can get your burger meat and the philly meat cooked to order since it's fresh! Both of our sandwiches were delicious! Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a decent, quick bite to eat thats family friendly, too! A big shout out to Myranda! She's an excellent bartender/waitress.

Pretty cool little spot right in the Central Market area. We went on a Sunday night and they were packed and I think they were a little shorthand so I really can't be too critical on the service. Excellent chicken wings, good burger and fish and chips. Would recommend.

Went here on a work trip and it was perfect. Our server Jamie was super friendly and attentive and the food was awesome! Philly cheesesteak was so great and the wings were too, the beer cheese is also incredible. Its very reasonably priced, especially in such a popular area, and its a very short walk to the beach! Will definitely be back the next time we're on the coast.

I had a fantastic experience at Fuse on Jekyll Island. Meghan went above and beyond to accommodate my gluten allergy. She was incredibly knowledgeable about celiac safety and took the time to bring fresh toppings from the back to avoid cross-contamination. She even made sure I received a fresh item to ensure everything was safe. Her kindness and attention to detail made me feel seen and safe. Highly recommend!

It offers a variety of classic American fast-food options such as hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken salad sandwiches, and grilled cheese. The shop provides window service and deck seating for visitors to enjoy their meals. While it may not offer gourmet dining, it is known for serving quick, tasty, and hot food.
Cute food shop in Jekyll Island Resort Club. Hot dogs are popular, but this place sells other food like pulled pork sandwhiches and more. The hot dogs were a good pick me up for us after swimming and draws a crowd that wants to pick up something quick to eat. Spacious area to sit and eat. The hot dogs come with pickles and chips. Not a fancy place but so homey and comforting.

Nice place. Menu is very limited and they didn’t have a couple of things on it, so the choices were very few. It was very busy and slow. Food was ok. Can’t give it a 5 ⭐️ rating but the prices are very affordable.

Southern Soul Barbeque is a popular BBQ joint located on St. Simons Island, housed in a former gas station. It has gained recognition for its oak-smoked meats and specialties, with accolades from Southern Living Magazine and restaurant critic Bill Addison. The menu features pulled pork sandwiches, beef brisket, ribs, and smoked turkey breast. Conveniently situated at the Demere Road roundabout upon entering the island, it has been a beloved spot since its inception in 2006.
Great place to go. They have lunch special that great deal. The bbq has great flavor. We had most of items and everything was great. A must stop in island!

Really good food and welcoming service. I had the turkey plate and I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was tender and the vinegar on the side was flavorful. Loved to okra and our son enjoyed the hotdog and fries. Husband said the pulled pork was good. We missed the gift shop but maybe next time. Also forgot to ask what the deal was with the license plates?! Pretty neat decor.

We went on a Saturday. I have wanted to try their Flavored wings for sometime. We got three out of the four flavors offered. Every time we get the wings to go, Maui flavored are sold out. Describe... Odd the charts delicious! Smoky, tasty, sweet and spicy!! They are meaty and you get alot for your money!
Pamela H — Google review
Locals recommended this place to us. We had an amazing smoked turkey breast and their Cuban sandwich. Sides Brunswick stew a must try and the Mac and Cheese! Great areas to sit outside and enjoy this beautiful spring weather.
Marie C — Google review
This places is a namesake and it makes sense. It is good. It is well known. And it is fun. It wasn’t my favorite bbq ever. I got the sampler platter with pork and brisket. They both were a little dry sadly. I had collards and Brunswick stew as sides. The stew was the best thing I had. My friend ordered the prime rib special with hoppin jones and Mac n cheese. The prime rib was huge and pretty tasty. The sides were just ok. I do think this place is a good place to go. Huge portions and it is popular for a reason. We got there right at 11 and by the time we left there was already a line. Worth a try for sure. I just wouldn’t say it is my favorite and I have had better.
Kenzie W — Google review
Decided to grab lunch here while I was shopping on St Simons Island and I must say, it was phenomenal. I had the Soul Sandwich (jumbo pulled pork sandwich) with sweet sauce and hot sauce with a side of BBQ baked beans. I really enjoyed all of it. The staff was friendly, and even though the line was out the door, my wait was not too long. Pricing is on par with what you would expect from this type of restaurant. I think I paid about $20 (that was with a tip). Will be back!
Robert R — Google review
No visit to Saint Simons Island would be complete without a stop here for at least one meal. Southern Soul is an institution in this town and rightfully so. The food is excellent and plentiful. The daily special is a chopped pork sandwich, fries and a drink. Only $10. It was more food than we could eat. We got the 'sweet' sauce out of a choice of four choices. We noticed that this is the sauce that most of the local ask for. The walls are covered with magazine articles that have featured this place. By all means eat here!

Wine bar
Nestled in Pier Village, the Georgia Sea Grill is a casually refined restaurant that takes pride in its locally sourced seafood and seasonal American dishes. Under the ownership of Zack Gowen, the restaurant has been relocated to a larger and brighter space, offering an extensive wine list and a farm-to-table menu.
The crab bisque was very good and filling. I would highly recommend this appetizer. The fried shrimp had a very smooth corn meal based batter and perfectly fried. The shrimp were large in size but very tender. The oysters were an appetizer but there were enough to be considered a small plate or meal. The service was very friendly. Very nice romantic atmosphere. The biggest let down was their pecan pie which was very thin on filling.
Kenneth T — Google review
Wow, so good! The service was impeccable, the menu had a wide selection of various cuisines, and the wine/cocktails list was great. It's a great atmosphere, nicely appointed, warm and friendly, and comfortable. We went while visiting for our anniversary and would definitely go back. The pics are the hush puppy appetizer, the carpaccio appetizer, the flounder entrée, and the lamb chops. Would definitely recommend if visiting St Simon Island!
Calico J — Google review
Nice local gem in the heart of St. Simons Island! After receiving many recommendations, we visited Georgia Sea Grill. Initially, we were overwhelmed by the smell of the bar area. We decided to push through and I’m glad we did. Cocktails were underwhelming, but after a failed attempt at a round of cocktails, we switched to beer and bottled water, which was cold and lovely. Since moving to the area, I still haven’t gotten used to the taste of the water, so I was glad to see they offer bottled water. We ordered the crab hush puppies as an appetizer. We weren’t told about Happy Hour, or we would have probably tried some of those options as well. The people next to us at the bar tried them and they looked good! The hush puppies were a mix between a hush puppy and a crab cake, then deep fried. Not bad! For my entree, I had the golden tilefish and it was wonderful. The set up for the fish was really nice and flavorful, as well. Here’s where it gets good! My husband has talked about the buttermilk pie his great grandmother would make since I met him, so you can only believe the look of excitement on his face when he saw it on the menu. This dose of nostalgia made his evening. We will most likely return and perhaps will try making a reservation for a table instead of sitting in the bar area.
Seana G — Google review
My partner and I went on a trip to St Simons Island recently and a quick google search for a new restaurant for us to try lead us here. First off, the atmosphere regarding the interior of the restaurant felt very cozy. The dim lights bought a very intimate/romantic feeling as you dine in. We were sat at a table that was in middle of the dining room which was unfortunately right next to a very large and loud group of people (which I’m not blaming the restaurant for). There were not many walls to watch the the sounds of the conversing peoples and there was also no music to set the tone (or there was and the group we were sat next to were so loud that we couldn’t hear the music). Otherwise, everything else was fine. The service rendered was excellent. Our waitress was very knowledgable on the menu and also educated us on their fish specials for the night. She was very personable, respectful, helpful (and funny). Finally, the food; chef’s kiss. I started with the Creamy crab soup w/ chives while my partner had the fork and knife caesar salad. Both our appetizers came out quickly. The soup was absolutely delicious; it was creamy, slightly spicy, rich in flavor, and it was the perfect amount of soup for me. My partner’s salad was a stalk of romaine lettuce topped w/ Parmesan cheese and lightly coated w/ sauce along with a side of very flat, heavily crisped cheddar (which was odd and he didn’t like very much). As he says, his salad was still tasty. For the Entrée, I ordered the herb crusted rack of lambs while my partner ordered the seared scallops w/ sweetcorn risotto; both dishes *chef’s kiss*! I ordered my lamb medium rare and it came out perfectly cooked and succulent. The flavor was astonishingly perfect and with every bite I took I could just feel the love put into the dish. It also came with baby onions, cauliflower and baked scalloped potatoes. Everything on that dish was to my liking besides the cauliflower which had a roasted flavor I was super into. The seared scallops were delicately cooked and nicely soft. The risotto was tasty as well. Everything on my partner's dish was perfect except for the collard greens which had a resilient smell of vinegar and a very bitter taste. Yes when we come back to the Island we will definitely be coming back here and recommending this place to our friends and family!

From entrance to dessert, April made sure our 20th anniversary dinner was exquisite. The food and wine were amazing; some of the best I have ever had, and I have traversed countries. Many applause and four thumbs up!

Georgia Sea Grill is my very favorite upscale restaurant because the menu is unique, the food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere in the piano bar area is perfect for a date night or special occasion. I usually order the day's special and it never disappoints. I also like the pan roasted fresh catch and the chocolate cheesecake. We've had a different server at each visit and all of them have been excellent. Reservations are not required, but recommended.

Restaurant
Barbara Jean's is a cozy diner that offers a taste of the South with its homemade Southern dishes. While it's renowned for its Eastern Shore style crab cakes, made without fillers, there's much more to savor. The menu features an array of seafood delights and traditional favorites like pot roast. Additionally, guests can indulge in appetizers such as fried onion rings and cheese fries. If you're seeking authentic Southern dining on St.
Had an amazing dinner yesterday at Barbara Jeans! The inside view feels like a comfy home cooked restaurant. The onion rings were pretty good (great crisp), but the Shrimp and Grits were to die for!! Crab cakes were legit all crab which was amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Located right next to Saint Simons pier. Quaint and comfortable atmosphere. Basket of bread included pumpkin bread, cheese and jalapeno corn bread and a roll. The corn bread was scrumptious. Hubby had the coconut shrimp. They were large shrimp and very tasty, but he didn't care for the orange marmalade that came with them. He said the red beans and rice were out of this world good. He also had the cheese grits. I had the crab cake which was filled with a lot of crab and very little else. It was good but I wish it was served with remoulade instead of tarter. I enjoyed the coleslaw because it wasn't sweet. The squash casserole, however, was delicious. Service was extremely fast and very friendly.

Perfect local relaxed restaurant with massive portions of fresh cooked eats. I had the blackened chicken sandwich and my wife had the chicken but made with real chicken breast. Sides of cheese grits and roasted veggies were uniquely tasty! Service was ultra friendly and the whole atmosphere was quiet and relaxed! Heartily recommend this place.

Great experience! The food and service were both wonderful! They offer 4 covered outdoor tables (ceiling fans) if you're dining with your doggo (water bowl was offered). Big variety of food & alcoholic drinks are available. Public parking is located all around. They offer 3 table breads: wheat rolls, pumpkin bread, and jalapeno cornbread (so yummy). We tried the special of the day (baked white fish), tuna steak , crab cake app, & coconut shrimp app. Both main dishes were delightful! The crab cake was good and the coconut shrimp/ pineapple sauce was also good.

The service was great the food and portion sizes are phenomenal. We had the “loaded” onion rings, chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken. Both were fried perfect and juicy. Gravy was thick and flavorful. Would definitely recommend and will try again if we make our way back down this way.

The bread basket was delicious and the portion sizes were huge! Country fried steak was good - my only complaint is there was too much loose batter on it. I had to take off a lot before I got to the meat. Kids chicken tenders were enormous.

We absolutely loved our dinner at Del Sur. I highly recommend reservations through Opentable. When you walk in, you will immediately smell the grill! The empanadas are delicious and the flank steak with chimichurri was one of the best I've ever had. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable.

Last week my friends and I went to Del sur in Brunswick, a restaurant a friend had recommended because it serves Latin-inspired food. Since I’m from Latin America, I was really excited to try it and see if it reminded me of home. The place had a cozy and colorful atmosphere, with warm lights and music that gave it an authentic Latin vibe. The staff was friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. We started with some empanadas that tasted just like the ones I used to eat back home crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. For my main dish, I ordered a chimichurri steak with fries, and it was amazing. The steak was juicy, and the sauce had that traditional flavor I really missed. My friends all loved their meals too, especially the rice bowls and tacos. To finish, we shared a tres leches cake that was soft, sweet, and full of flavor. Eating at Del sur brought back a lot of memories from my country, and I really appreciated that taste of home. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely go back again whenever I want to enjoy real Latin flavors in Brunswick.

One of the best meals we've had in a long time! Perfectly cooked steak and a braised bone-in short rib, and an orange creme brulee to finish. Perfect! They even sent a birthday candle home with the dessert since the server knew it was for a birthday. Will go again, probably tomorrow night!

We did not need a reservation, we got lucky!!!! Spur of the moment decision. It has been the best meal we have had at saint simons. From the appetizer to the dessert. We had the steak empananda. It was great all on its own. Sauce was not needed. The butternut squash soup could have used more cream but still delicious. The short rib over the parmesan risotto was to die for. Creamy risotto and the short rib was extremely tender. We also had the shrimp premivera absolutely stunning!!! And to top it off we had the khalula cake which we finished in our hotel room. So moist and flavorful. We will definitely be back!!!! Great job!!!!

I visited Saint Simons Island for my birthday, and Del Sur was my first stop for lunch. It was still early, and aside from one other table of guests seated outside, I was the only customer in the restaurant before the lunch rush. Adam immediately struck up a conversation with me, and Quinn, my waiter, was equally engaging. When I mentioned I was there for my birthday weekend, Adam surprised me with a piece of Kahlúa cake. My entire lunch experience was fantastic. The chicken on my salad was cooked to perfection, and their house vinaigrette was phenomenal. Fantastic food aside, what truly made this my favorite place on the island was the staff. Quinn, a young college student, was sweet, engaging, and such a gentleman. Adam, pictured below, was kind and attentive. Watching him in the kitchen as I ate, you could see his culinary skill and passion. I returned the following evening to purchase another slice of that amazing cake, and the place was packed. Both Adam and Quinn recognized me from the previous day, greeted me with hugs, and chatted as much as they could while I waited for my to-go order. Quinn asked me to come back the next night for dinner, but unfortunately, bad weather kept me in my hotel room. On my next trip, Del Sur will once again be my first stop and go-to restaurant. I only hope to see Adam and Quinn again - they were the absolute highlight of my trip.

I had the pleasure of dining at Del Sur during a short visit to St Simon’s Island. I can confidently say it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! Del Sur offers a welcoming ambiance that's perfect for both casual dining and special occasions. Our group was on the larger side, but the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. One of the highlights of our dinner was the superb selection of wines, which perfectly complemented our flavorful dishes. The meat choices were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the steak, which was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal on St. Simon's Island. I can’t wait to return!

Mullet Bay Restaurant is a beloved local spot on St. Simons Island, GA, offering a wide variety of fresh seafood, steaks, sandwiches, and pasta dishes in a laid-back setting. Guests can choose to dine indoors or enjoy the spacious deck and covered patio with live music and entertainment. The restaurant's full bar serves beer, wine, and popular dishes like the mahi fish sandwich and fried catfish alongside non-seafood options and appetizers.
I had the catfish with mac and cheese, a side salad, and hush puppies—and let me just say, everything was incredible. The catfish was huge—honestly the biggest I've ever seen—and it was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and even the salad was fresh and flavorful. But the hush puppies? Hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life. Our server, Audrey, was also amazing—so friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. She made the experience even better. If you’re anywhere near St. Simons, do yourself a favor and eat at Mullet Bay!

This was my first visit to Mullet Bay. Normally, the restaurant is busy, but this is the off-season for tourists. Nice atmosphere and service. I had Lobster Bisque, Fried Oysters and Shrimp platter with French fries and a side salad. The fried Oysters were very good. I recommend the Greek salad dressing. We will return soon to try other items on the menu.

It was a local’s recommendation and it didn’t disappoint. Husband ordered blackened shrimp poboy with bourbon brussel sprouts and I had chicken pesto sandwich with sweet potato fries. Both were good choices hence the photo 😆. Paige was an attentive server.

4 of us came here 3 times during our stay and it quickly became a favorite for us. However, in all my life we have never been treated so rudely by the waitress on our 3rd visit. She basically told us we shouldn't be sitting at the table that the host told us to sit at. She continued to argue with us when we tried to tell her we were there two other nights and sat at the same table without incident. Robin the waitress that night who we will call "Karen" went in to report us to the manager. to make things worse, the manager acted the same way and followed up by saying, but it's ok, you can stay. Who would stay after that? We closed our bill and left. What should have been done was NOTHING. The manager should've told the waitress it was a mix up on their part and just let it go. They cost themselves customers. Planned to have a nice dinner there tomorrow night but w certainly won't be after this.
Kim S — Google review
Food lacks any flavor. For almost $30 a plate I would at least expect some sort of seasoning or even butter on grilled shrimp. The only saving grace was the amount of flavor on the brussel sprouts. But no where near able to save the rest of the experience. The fried shrimp even completely lacked seasoning. And someone needs to check the water. Tasted straight out of the ocean.

We were a group of 15, and our server handled everything like a champ! Drinks, appetizers, mains, everything came out correct, and she followed up with us each time asking if we needed anything. I wish I had gotten her name, but forgot to ask and just enjoyed the night. Food was great too, many of us got local seafood choices, while others had salads or chicken. It was all really good and timely with a group our size. Highly recommend for great service, good food and drinks too!

Coastal Kitchen is a relaxed waterfront restaurant located in Saint Simons Island, offering surf 'n' turf entrees and a raw bar. Situated at the Morning Star Marina, it provides stunning views from Epworth to the Sydney Lanier Bridge. The casual eatery overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway and St. Simons Sound, making it an ideal spot for a delightful dining experience by the water.
We like to find new water front restaurants, and needed a place to meet friends from north Florida. This was half way and we were fortunate it was! The food was excellent. The shrimp and sausage gumbo was excellent. The grouper sandwich was just as good, and the chicken salad wrap was great. The only issue is parking. The restaurant is in a busy marina so you might search for parking

So delicious in a fresh atmosphere and excellent service. So many scrumptious seafood options from oysters to lobster and crab ravioli. One of our friends is allergic to seafood and they were super mindful to her needs. I highly recommend.

Passing by on a trip and wanted to stay with a local place for food and found this hidden gem off St Simon island! I kept it simple and got a burger but from the other guests the seafood options looked amazing! The burger was cooked perfectly! I sat outside and the weather was great and view was even better! Definitely a nice little place off the main strip for a dinner!

Amazing dinner experience with the best views of a marina! Been to plenty of seafood restaurants, and this is up there! Very fresh seafood, hometown service, but the views and quality of the food sold it for us! We tried all sorts of dishes, and everything was great, but standouts were the blackened redfish, oysters, and crab soup. Omg, that soup was so light and different than the traditional heavy crab soup you come to expect. The views from the patio deck at sundown were amazing, but there's also plenty of inside seating for the hot days. One of the nicer restaurants in the area. Expect to pay $35-45 per with seafood and drinks. Definitely highly recommend and will be a go to place for out of town visitors.

We were looking for a nice seafood restaurant around Jekyll and St. Simons. Everyone near the beaches were all full and parking was difficult to find. So we kept driving before heading home. We found this resto on google maps and it had good reviews. Our food came on time and service was great. The food was delicious and the servings were generous as pictured. This is a must try. I am glad google reviews exist cuz it definitely helped my decisions that’s why I leave reviews here as well hoping to help people especially those that are not locals like our family.

The Coastal Kitchen was truly breathtaking. The picturesque boats, the enchanting sea grass, and the captivating walkway left us in awe. The culinary experience was equally extraordinary. Our family savored the delectable delights of grits, fried Georgia shrimp, and Georgian trout, and each dish surpassed our expectations. However, the pinnacle of our dining experience was undoubtedly the dessert, highlighted by the best pecan pie I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.

The Crab Trap is a long-standing canteen and bar on St. Simons Island, offering a rustic nautical atmosphere and serving up a variety of seafood dishes. Established in 1975, this island staple is still owned and operated by the original family. The menu features an array of seafood options such as shrimp, oysters, scallops, crab, and the fresh catch of the day prepared in different ways.
Just two of us on a Tuesday evening. They were very busy but we had no wait. Food was outstanding (try the Blackened shrimp and Blackened scallops)! Location was central to many other things. Parking was available. I highly recommend.

The soup and scallops were good. The fries and chicken my grands had were cold. They weren't busy, so I was quite disappointed. Our server had 2 tables, but we had empty glasses during the meal. The Crab Trap has always been a favorite, but I don't see myself returning. Cost of eating out is too much to get marginal. 😭

We went here while on vacation. The service was great! I was disappointed that the food wasn’t the best. The soup was pretty good. The rock shrimp was overdone. The blackened flounder was rubbery. I’m not sure how I feel about the fries. They were crunchy, but they didn’t have much flavor besides that. The best meal at our table was Cajun shrimp-delish! When I leave a meal and pay almost $60 for one person, I expect it to be better than a Captain D’s type meal. No one in my large group really thought they got their monies worth. The portions were enough, but not extra. No one at my table needed a box. The reviews I read made me expect way more.

We arrived about 6 pm on a Sunday evening, two of us. We were seated immediately in the front dining room and our server greeted us promptly for our drink order. She returned first with our requested water and then with our draft craft beers which were reasonably priced at $5 each. We ordered half dz raw oysters and cup of crab soup first. Oysters were small but tasty and soup was delicious, full of crab meat. We ordered entrees after our appetizers, fried soft shell crabs and the combo plate with blackened scallops and 1 crab cake. Sides were included with the dinners, cole slaw for both, fries on combo, bake potato with crab. We both enjoyed our food. My favorite were the scallops. Nice sear and tender meat. Service was very good. We would go back. Prices were reasonable and servings generous.

Ordered for 3 people to-go for approximately $130. While picking up our food, we checked, and there was no butter/sour cream for upcharged baked potatoes (and they forgot salad, also ordered with upcharge). After pointing out to attendant she said she would get and brought out bag with "butter and sour cream". She also brought the salad. Upon arrival home- we discovered plenty of sour cream but no butter. Additionally, there was no salad dressing with the salad. Seafood was good. Hushpuppies were excellent. Portions were very small for price. Attention to detail for to go order was poor, even after multiple specific requests. Service was friendly, results mediocre. If you order to go, check your order carefully before leaving! Then...double check!

I was slightly disappointed given the recommendations I'd received. The food was good, but the portions were small compared to the prices and the seating was a little cramped. The standout was the service. From hostess that wait staff and even the bus boy, everyone was great.

Felt like an overpriced fast food restaurant. We paid $100 but it was like we were ripped off. Not a lot of food per meal. The seafood was the least tasty thing they gave us. Best things were the hush puppies and fries. I’m happy to pay that much for a meal if it feels like I get a really good meal. This wasn’t it. Disappointed.

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is a classic fast-food chain known for its soft-serve ice cream, signature shakes, burgers, and fries. The menu includes treats like the Blizzard with Heath bar bits and a variety of desserts. Despite being a fast-food joint, it offers options for those with dietary restrictions such as gluten and lactose intolerance. The restaurant can get busy but the staff is praised for their friendly attitudes and helpfulness even during peak times.
I wish I could rate this one star, but I feel like one star reviews are never taken seriously... I can't say much for the food beyond ice cream, but the hard to mess up soft serve is good... However the customer service and atmosphere is abhorrent. The employees act as though you are an inconvenience, the job is a joke, and the whole place feels dingy. By the way, none of the employees wear hair nets while preparing the food, there is a lack of uniformity, overall this experience is exactly why I haven't been to a DQ in over a year, it's just a gross experience.
Chet M — Google review
By far the dirtiest, most disgusting looking Dairy Queen I've ever seen! Scratch that, possibly the most disgusting food establishment I've ever seen! The floors, booths, tables, walls, windows and anything else I missed mentioning all look like they haven't been cleaned in years, if ever. The manager of this place clearly doesn't care and is just going through the motions of "doing"their job. It takes effort to allow a place to get this dirty, because anyone who knows what they doing and has an ounce of pride in their work would never allow their establishment to look this way. Someone clearly needs to be fired, and so does anyone above the manager who allows this to happen. Just plain disgusting!!!
Ryan M — Google review
Why do these employees hate life and their customers so much? This is a beautiful Dairy Queen to work at, even if it is attached to a gas station. I worked at a Dairy Queen in the middle of nowhere PA during high school and I know what I am asking for is not hard to do at all. Since they choose not to stock chocolate soft serve, I asked for chocolate sauce added to the blizzard. I got more specific this time because 2 days ago, they barely put any chocolate in my same order. This time I made sure to repeat they could charge me extra, please don’t worry about flipping it upside down, I know chocolate makes it a bit more liquid-y. Well, she slammed these two blizzards down on the counter like she did not gaf about the mess she just made for herself to clean up 😂 And despite charging me for 2 chocolate sauces, they couldn’t even get the chocolate in the blizzard, it was just on top, pouring over the side. Also not putting pickles on a burger when asked is super easy. She made sure there were extra pickles. These people just hate life and are taking it out on the ice cream and the people that love it. Stay clear of this one 😬

I used to work for a Dairy Queen and if we were caught doing any of this stuff or had any issues we were fired on the spot. Our staff was ALWAYS clean and sanitary. Food was always fresh. So here it goes ..... Our fries tasted like shrimp 🤢 and you can tell that they are not fresh (very stale and cold and hard). Plus the counter our drinks were served on was covered in crumbs and food of some sort so it was all over the bottom of our drinks. All of the blizzards were NOT served upside down (because they were melted, as seen in photos). Also, my country gravy for my chicken strips had a brown color to it and it almost tasted a tad burnt? Guy that took my order, touched his computer and my card, went straight back to prep our order... WITHOUT GLOVES OR WASHING HANDS!!! 🤮He also had chocolate syrup hanging from his bottom lip when taking my order. This made me want to puke. I honestly don't know where he was eating that chocolate syrup from or how. AND... he had his headphones on and a black Hollister jacket with white flaky looking stuff all over the front. I'm sorry but I'm just being honest here. It's absolutely DISGUSTING, nasty, filthy, just plain GROSS!!! Please try harder

Ordered turtle pecan cluster blizzard. I got chocolate ice cream and syrup, very little pecans, plus it was not even close to the top of the cup, and I got a small. My mother-in-law ordered the same thing right behind us on a different order. Hers was vanilla ice cream with caramel, small, very little pecans, and not to the top. Whoever is in the back making the blizzards doesn't know what they are doing. At least be consistent, to fake you know what you are doing. Restaurant was clean and cashier was nice.
Trevor M — Google review
Order was wrong. Gave me ice cream way before food was ready. Fries were cold. Cashier failed to put ranch cups as my kids meals dip included in meal so they made me pay for more sauce. They had no ketchup. An the team lead kept screaming over everyone like a crazy person instead of walking to the dinning room like a normal person to deliver ice cream. I have done so many customer reviews over the years and never had to do negative ones until recently and now it seems to be a going thing. Real tired of spending good money on crap and poor service on top of it.
Amber D — Google review
Came to Jekyll Island on vacation wanted to stop for ice cream, we had to wait a very long time for the employees to finish their conversation before they even came to the register. Not polite at all. Then our dessert was just put up on the bar and nothing was said to us. The place was dirty and the employees were very very rude.
Jacqueline N — Google review
Stopped here for an after-dinner dessert and it definitely could have been better. It started off fine, the lady who took our order was super nice (Alaina I think?). However, my husband had ordered a Chocolate Extreme Blizzard and it did not look like the typical blizzard we have gotten many times before at other locations. What he got was a melty vanilla cup of soup. They did not serve our blizzards upside down and if they had, this would have resulted in a huge mess as they were not the normal blizzard consistency. Normally the chocolate extreme blizzard also looks a lot more chocolatey than this. He asked several times if it was correct. The people working behind the counter kept ignoring him and then finally said “yeah.” The quality of this blizzard was extremely subpar. I had ordered an Oreo fudge brownie blizzard with chocolate soft serve instead of vanilla and this was obviously a lot more chocolatey. If I had ordered a normally, it definitely would be more vanilla and not at all like the advertising pictures.

Mixed reviews on the food. Casual place with what looked to be a fair number of locals coming in after we arrived around 545 on a Sunday. They handled small children well and appeared to be dog friendly at the outside seating. Happy hour (till 6) worked to our advantage with buck a shuck oysters (although a little small). Fried oysters were good, the slaw was very good, but the shrimp and grits were soupy and overly salted. The hush puppies had little flavor. The burger was ordinary and light on the cheese. The service was good for us but the place was not busy until we were leaving.

The worst dining experience we’ve had. We arrived after the lunch rush, and while talking to the hostess to check in for a table a server carrying a drink couldn’t be more annoyed that my toddler wasn’t moving fast enough to get out of her way to deliver the beverage outside. There’s a handful of tables in there and a few open, she tells us it’s a 30 minute wait. That’s fine, we go kill some time outside. She calls and sits us at the same table that’s been available since we first got there. Okay, maybe they’re short staffed- I used to work in restaurants so I get it. Upon ordering crab legs we find out they are out of crab legs (the entire reason we chose this place was for that) The tables have dwindled down and we are one of just a few eating, but our food still takes an hour to get out The bathrooms are filthy and smell like urine The combo platter was rotten. My husband had scallops on a plate for the toddler and told me to taste it beforehand bc the one he just ate tasted off. It was still raw. I grabbed a shrimp to taste instead and the smell of it made my stomach turn. I ordered a chicken sandwich and ended up sick shortly after leaving. I just assume my chicken and his seafood were cooked together since they were both blackened. The platter was comped, our server was apologetic over the experience.

Please don’t eat here. Beer recommendation was not good, the fish dip app came out after the food and was just a block of cheese melted w some fish, hardened right up so we couldn’t eat it. Ordered the boil, then was told they’re out of sausage and the crab was extra. Idk it didn’t hit for us and I had high hopes

I had a good chat with the owner while checking out his fish tanks of sea life, really neat experience to come across an owner and heart of the business and have a good conversation, it was late so he also made his way to our table to conversate with my husband and teenage daughter. The food was great, but came out 20 minutes apart from my other family members food... The owner said he is working on his kitchen staff with proper timing, and unfortunately the food timing and lateness is the only complaint I have for them.I hope the owner reads this,so he understands he's got a great thing going. But for someone who waits an hour between husband and daughters dinners coming out when there is an empty restaurant around us and the owner is making good conversation, instead of apologizing and offering my husband a free beer you should have comped my no meat salad that took an hour and a half to make.
Friction V — Google review
Such a disappointment for our last dinner while in Saint Simons. There were not a lot of people in the restaurant, but we were seated in that bar area. Finally the hostess came to check on us and sent a waitress over to take orders. We had been there long enough to know what we wanted for dinner, but we were not given that option. Drinks ordered with some starters. The beer took a while and the soup came out one at a time. The dozen baked oysters came out six at a time. All of these items were delicious and we got to eat in shifts. When my main course - conch fritters came out, the outside was burnt, and the in side was not fully cooked. Again all this food came out in shifts, so some of us were waiting for others to finish eating. We have eaten here before- and were very disappointed this time around.
Tracy W — Google review
The food was amazing. Rudy is an amazing oyster shucker and a very personable man. The guy that sat near us at the bar was trying to start trouble so we didn't get much time there to enjoy our afternoon. He obviously was a regular and intoxicated. It could have been handled better but instead the bartender allowed us to leave without hesitation. Very sad that it had to come to that because it was our first time there.
Lisa S — Google review
We sat for nearly 2 hours and never received most of our food. The excuse was people were ahead of us and the kitchen is backed up. That is understandable but customers sitting in the restaurant ready to pay and eat should be first priority. Our waitress was amazing though this was not her fault at all, again she was great. Management obviously has zero control over the kitchen and this needs to be addressed.

Love the atmosphere and vibes! Tenders, catfish, pimento grits and Mac n cheese were THE BEST! Cocktail sauce was delicious! Fried shrimp was good but could be seasoned a bit more, baked beans were bland to be maple flavored. Looking forward to trying new dishes and sides next visit!

I’m honestly not sure how we stumbled upon The Porch… but I’m SO happy we did! Oh. My. God. — the chicken is everything: juicy, crispy, perfectly saucy! And the best part? You don’t even need to go full Nashville Hot if spice isn’t your thing — they’ve got delicious non-spicy options too. I ordered 2 Nashville dark leg quarter with pimento mac and cheese and collard greens. The collard greens was the star of the show, it was insanely good! My husband went with the novice shrimp platter and he really enjoyed it. Even my daughter’s kids’ chicken tenders were huge and tasty! Overall, this spot is solid, highly recommend checking it out for yourself! The only downside is calling in an order… I kept getting put on hold forever, so definitely bring some patience. And I did not like the catfish taco at all. The catfish lacked seasoning. But all in all? The Porch delivers pretty awesome food in a great location.

We were in the area and had to stop because we love DDD and found out Guy stopped here. We had the chicken tenders and fried shrimp. Also had fries, tots, Mac N Cheese and brussell sprouts. Everything was fantastic, best thing to me was the fried shrimp with tasted fresh and had great flavor. Only downside was the Mac was not very hot and flavor was lacking. Staff is super nice. Tons of seating. Prices are fair. Atmosphere is great. I want to come back again and try more things.

So, Porch was wonderful. Pictured is the little dark plate, tots topped with pimento cheese, and coleslaw. The fried chicken was really good. Nice crisp skin and juicy meat inside. Tots are taken up a notch with the pimento cheese, and the coleslaw was spot on. All in all, if you're around St Simon Island you'll want to stop in.

The food was great, and we loved the "porch" vibe and atmosphere! I loved that they highlighted which options were gluten free and vegan/vegetarian, as I can't eat wheat or dairy so it makes eating out challenging, but they made it easy! I had roasted chicken (Nashville hot) with brussel sprouts and tried collard greens for the first time ever. The brussel sprouts were the best I've had in my entire life!!! The chicken was amazing as well, but if you want spicy, maybe choose the Napalm heat, the Nashville wasn't spicy at all to me, but the flavor was great!!! And the prices were pretty great!
Padma D — Google review
We really enjoyed the our meals. I wish I had known the spice level was based on a paprika. The novice was good but Nashville overpowered any taste of chicken at all. We all agreed we would return and just have the fish, shrimp, and chicken without any “heat.”

This chicken shack rocks! The prices are perfectly economical for the amount of food served. They have $6 frozen rose drinks on Fridays that were scrumptious. Dine inside or outside and you can play bags while waiting for your food, although the wait is pretty quick. Highly recommend this joint for a quick midday meal or for a couple cocktails before heading out in the village.

Great Location!! Easy to find and lots to look at in the store… Really liked walking around looking at the shop and some of the nostalgic stuff in there. As an Ice Cream Expert that travels the country looking for good ice cream, I have to say that this place is hitting the mark. I tried quite a few flavors and my favorites were the Pralines and Cream, Banana Pudding and Peach Cobbler. I am a huge lover of pecan pie, but I was disappointed with their Pecan Pie ice cream (the base fell flat with little flavor, you only got flavor from the actual chunks of pecan pie). 😞 The waffle cone was nice and crispy! One thing I am big on is customer service. I believe in making a first and lasting impression. The girls behind the counter were great and pleasant but this place gets busy (line out the door) and there was only one girl scooping ice cream. The 2 other girls were filling spoons and such (my recommendation would be to have them jump in to serve the customers first). Overall I think this place is a must stop if you are anywhere near St. Simons, GA. Keep serving smiles with America’s favorite!!!!

This has to be the main candy shop on the strip. They have so many candies and baked goods. I haven't even heard of some of these things before! Some items aren't priced up front like jelly beans and fudge, but most other items do have price per lb or half lb. There are also novelty/gimmicky things like giant gummy snakes and sour pickles.

Mellow Mushroom St. Simons Island is a funky and art-filled pizzeria known for its creative stone-baked pizzas, craft beer, and calzones. The restaurant offers a mellow atmosphere where guests can walk in casually dressed. Families with kids appreciate the spacious deck, while sports fans enjoy the wrap-around bar offering over 30 draft beers. The menu features popular pizzas like Kosmic Karma, Holy Shiitake, and Buffalo Chicken.
The waitress was so nice and the food was delicious. The cloud 9 wings are excellent and the queso dip is just as great. The kids got pizza dough to play with. What a great experience

We stopped in on Saturday after visiting relatives on the island and although it was a holiday weekend (Independence Day) we only waited a short time (less than 30 minutes) to be seated at 6:30 in the evening. We ordered the Spinach Dip and it was very good - although maybe a couple extra pieces of bread would be helpful - ran out of bread before dip. We had the Holy Shitake Pie and oh my it was delicious!

Cute place! I love the tree on the patio. The pretzel bites were excellent, and my carry-out pizza was good. I can't wait to order pizza in! Great selection of mocktails and NA beer.

We ordered take out and our food was good! Parking can be difficult to find; we picked up our food later in the evening, about an hour before they closed, and it was still hard to find a spot.

I stopped here for an afternoon snack because I had heard of this restaurant but had never had the chance to go to one. The spinach artichoke dip was AMAZING. The portion ratio to the bread was great and it was so creamy and smooth. It was the best I had ever had anywhere!!!! Nina was great keeping a close check on me while I was there taking excellent care of me. I highly recommend this place if the rest of their menu is as good as what I got.

We were seated in a timely matter. Our waitress was Alyssa she was the best waitress I think I've ever had in my whole life. She was very attentive to our table A+ for sure. All the food was great. Only negative was the sweet tea it was not sweet at all. Other than that everything was great.

For those in search of delectable and smooth frozen treats, Moo Cow Ice Cream is the ideal destination. This establishment offers a wide variety of flavors to satisfy every palate. While their Black Cherry flavor stands out as a crowd favorite, they also cater to more adventurous taste buds with unique options like Basil. Open late into the evening, Moo Cow Ice Cream ensures that no vacation is complete without indulging in some creamy goodness.
We are always looking for places that make their own ice cream when we travel. Home made flavors are by register, we decided to try mint chocolate chip and vanilla cherry and those two were not ones made directly by them but they were DELICIOUS! We are not local but hope to be back!

Right next door to the best fried chicken and shrimp place on St. Simon's Island is a cute and quaint ice cream shop named Moo Cows ice cream. Situated in an old-school filling station and garage, Moo Cows serves up some tasty cold cream flavors from Hershey's with a few of their own home churned concoctions. The Salty Turtle was my flavor of choice, and it really hit the spot to put out the fire of the hot shrimp Po Boy sandwich I just had. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. 😍😋

I never thought red velvet cake could be combined into a cone of delectable ice cream. To whoever created this masterpiece: I hope your pillows are always cold, your coffee always hot, and that you never run out of toilet paper. I hope you have a blanket when the days get cold and AC for when the days get hot. May you forever live life in comfort. Would 100% come again.

We tried two ice cream places on the island, and this was definitely our favorite. They manage the small space well. They have a variety of unique flavors. I tried the jasmine ice cream, and it was very good. The shop is also full of high-quality cow puns. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for some good ice cream or something out of the ordinary.

The reviews were all good for this small place on St Simons so we gave it a try. Turned off immediately by the difficult parking situation. The line to get in was short and efficient. Can’t imagine what it would be like on a weekend. Ice cream was good, nothing spectacular. $18 for two cones? Wow. The girl that took our order was super pleasant.

Whoever worked tonight shift, which is today is Sunday, October 12, 2025 gave us the absolute worst experience a family could ever have. We came in ordered five ice creams and we are treated like we were subpar human beings. The cones were stale, and we were treated as if we didn’t know what we were talking about. I would highly recommend going and taking your business somewhere else where they appreciate your business

Last night, 10/29/25, we had family in town & decided to treat them to ice cream after having a delicious dinner next door at Mr Shucks. The light turned green at approx 8:50 and we entered, only to be greeted by an unfriendly & unwelcoming young lady. While deciding what flavors to try, she walked away from us to go turn off the “OPEN” sign @ 8:50. She was impatient & rude, with zero southern hospitality that is abundant in this island, as we asked a few questions about flavors. She must have been the same tall blonde that other customers have written bad reviews about. Ice cream gets 4 stars, but customer service gets 1 star. .

Not my first time to St. Simons Island, however do not get opportunity to visit often (though only traveling from Florida). However, spent most of the day sightseeing the island, and visited local museum: St Simon's Island Lighthouse and museum ((highly recommend by the way)). Was wanting a cold treat, and person I was with, asked if wanted ice cream. (Yes please!). Wanted to look for something local, and thought would give "Moo Cow Ice Cream" a try. Was very pleased with service, as well as how great ice cream / products were. I don't remember his name, but young adult who was very helpful, and seemed like great young man. The two of us asked what he recommended, and gave 2 or 3 suggestions. I went with one scoop Key lime and one scoop of one of their popular chocolate (triple chocolate or something?) But was delicious! Unfortunately no room inside to sit down establishment, but plenty of outdoor seating (with umbrellas or shaded areas also). Parking was somewhat difficult, maybe about 5 or 10 spots? But am sure most locals can possibly walk or ride a bicycle or moped / scooter. All in all, thank you for great service and experience! Look forward to coming back hopefully soon

Featured on Food Network, this barbecue shack offers a wide variety of grill favorites such as hot dogs, smoked turkey, and hamburgers. The slow-cooked BBQ specialties include chicken, ribs, and pork, complemented by freshly squeezed lemonade.
We always visit Beachcomber at least once during our stay at the King and Prince. You smell the bbq basically all day, so it's hard to miss! It's a great beach bbq restaurant, very convenient with fast service. We end up getting something different every time but it's always great. We normally walk here but parking will be a challenge if you plan to drive.

Don't let the looks of this place fool you! Such a cool vibe and delicious food, served hot! We came for a late lunch so it was pretty quiet. The staff was super friendly and helpful. If there's one thing I really appreciate, it's my food being served hot. We both got the 2 meat plate and you get 2 sides. My husband got brisket and ribs with Mac and cheese, and sweet potato tots. I got ribs and pulled pork with delicious, flavorful, and meaty baked beans, and Brunswick stew. The stew was wonderful and so hot I almost burned my mouth on the first bite. We both enjoy bbq and this food is up there with the best. Bravo! 👏👏

We had a great experience. The atmosphere is laid back, the pulled pork and smoked chicken both get 5 stars. The staff were attentive and engaging. You would not regret dining here! There are many dining options on the island but if you if want a great BBQ, this is your best option.

Simple food, nice patio seating. A little pricier than I would like for what it is, but even having said that, I loved my turkey & bacon sandwich on the toasted/grilled sourdough.

The turkey is not the same as it once was. My husband and I, before he passed away earlier this year, would come and get the super bird sandwich, it was so good! Yum! My husband would turn over in his grave if he knew the turkey didn’t taste the same. I still love Beachcombers! I will see you again when I come back into town in a few months.

Ribs were really tender & meaty. The rub was very good. Maybe slightly too salty but I like salt anyway. Baked beans were delicious!! They had little crunchy bits of green pepper in them along with a little pulled pork. I surprisingly really liked the crunchy pepper in it. The Pulled pork was super tender and not fatty at all! The Cole slaw was also a win!! Definitely the way we like our slaw! Fresh, creamy and simple. The Brunswick stew was very yummy too. It was my first time having it, so I don't have any other to compare it to, yet.... The young man that took our order was patient and helpful in deciding what to order. I really appreciate that, as I like most food and want to try what they make really well our different.

Nestled within the vibrant Longview shopping center at 307 Longview Plaza Drive, Tara Thai & Sushi is a charming eatery that beckons diners to enjoy its inviting atmosphere. Guests can choose between cozy indoor seating or bask in the fresh air on the colorful patio adorned with cheerful red umbrellas. This unique spot stands out as St.
We looked for a sushi spot in St. Simon’s Island to go to on our day trip, and landed on Tara’s. I’m not the biggest sushi fan, but I LOVE Thai food, so this was the perfect spot for us. My partner and son got sushi, which they said was really good. I got the drunken noodles, and our 5 year old got chicken and rice. I should point out that they do not have a kids menu, so we had to order a regular portion of rice, and then bring the rest home. Totally fine with me, because I was the one who got to eat it the next day 😁 The drunken noodles were amazing, as well as the rice that I tried the next day. I was too hungry to take a photo of our cream cheese wonton appetizer, but it was some of the best wontons I’ve had. Our server was great as well and memorized our large order without writing it down! Highly recommend! **Sushi pictured is Tempura Shrimp, Sakura, 911, and Broken Heart.

I honestly can't rave enough about this restaurant! It was so good that I had to order the same meal to go. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I ordered the pineapple curry fried rice with no egg and the spring rolls...AMAZING! 😍 If I ever visit St. Simon Island again this will definitely be my first stop. I'm so happy to leave a positive review about this restaurant. Between the hostess/server and the bartender...superb ladies!
MiMi P — Google review
The Thai food at this restaurant is not authentic; it's Americanized and should be avoided. The one positive aspect was the excellent service from our waitress. Thai food is usually a safe choice among Asian cuisines, but this place somehow missed the mark. The "Drunken Noodles" were overly sweet, a stark departure from the typical savory and spicy profile. The noodles were also undercooked and tough, so I couldn't even finish the dish. The Tom Yum Goong soup was more savory than sour, which completely defeats the purpose of the soup. It seems they've Americanized their food and cut corners, failing to provide an authentic dining experience to the locals.

Great local spot to get some good Thai food. Warming Massaman curry with adjustable heat level and served with rice. Thai fried rice is crave-able and delicious. Also ordered cream cheese rangoons which were good but may try another app next time. Quick and kind service. Plenty of parking.

Would always recommend! We had dumplings as appetizer and 4 different sushi rolls. Everything was absolutely fresh and tasted fabulous. The different kinds of rolls we chose paired up well and we were 100% satisfied. The waiter was very friendly, always at hand, but never in our business which made us feel very comfortable. Ember Farm to Fire is a delightful culinary destination that invites you into a world of globally-inspired flavors and cozy ambiance. With its locally-crafted wood-fired oven, Ember enhances the taste of each dish with beautiful charring and delicate smoky notes. The menu is ever-changing, showcasing fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers and fishermen while drawing inspiration from Italian, French, and Southern cuisines.
Ember - Farm to Fire My son brought me to Ember as part of my Christmas gift and I must say it is in the top running for best gift ever. We did have reservations and they are easy to make on their website. We arrived during one of their live music events so we got entertained while eating this amazing meal. The set up is pretty unique, when you walk in you see their amazing wood oven and it definitely caught my eye. It’s beautiful and functional art that helps them create their pizzas. Behind that you get a great view of the kitchen and the rest is the main dining room. To the right is a separate room that is made up of a bar, a pool table, and some lounging couches. To the left of the dining room is the outdoor patio area. This is where we sat. Appetizers was such a tough call. Every single item sounded so delicious. We decided on the meatballs and the bread with black garlic and EVOO. The meatballs were the best I have ever had. They were soft and full of flavor and covered in a homemade marinara. The balance of the sweetness in the sauce was perfect, which is hard to do in a restaurant setting. I find sauces from restaurants too sweet. If Hansel and Gretel were real they would prefer a house made of these meatballs every day! The bread was spectacular. I bake my own bread at home and I was so impressed with the bread. It had the texture and floof of a standard bread loaf but the flavor of a ciabatta. Glazed with butter and topped with flakey sea salt it was absolutely perfect, dipping it in their olive oil with black garlic was out of this world for my taste buds. They may never move on and accept my standard bread recipe now that they had that. When our mains came out I was already feeling full. However, we each ordered the 14 oz steak and I’m not about to bring that home. I’m not sure the picture does it justice. The steak is paired with fingerling potatoes and sautéed mushrooms and all is covered with a sauce, I’m not sure what kind of glitter (metaphorical glitter…magic) they put in that sauce but it was this magical thing, as if a au jus and a Demi-Glacé had a baby. To make things even better I am still confused on the cut of beef it actually was. It had the beautiful flavor and tenderness of a ribeye but without the fat and the muscle texture was even. On the drive home me and my son determined that whatever cow was used it led a happy existence and had to have been extremely relaxed when processed. Somehow I don’t think the farm will change their slogan to reflect that but it was in fact, the best steak I’ve ever had and I can cook a perfect steak. Now the hard part of the meal came, dessert. Every single one sounded amazing but I had already eaten a weeks worth of meat and carbs and my diabetes and fullness did not allow me to even consider another bite. So of course I ordered dessert to go and this morning, when I woke up I had my insulin ready because there was no way I wasn’t going to not eat the fried poundcake with berries and whipped cream to start my day the same way I ended yesterday, with fabulous food. So all that to say, get out and try Ember Farm to Fire. You won’t be disappointed.

Outstanding and interesting dishes, fabulous service....wonderful atmosphere.... absolutely can't wait to return! Huge beverage selection as well as apps/main dishes/sides... We thoroughly enjoyed the chicharrones, baked brie, and roasted root vegetables, as well as the fish of the day and short rib dishes. WOW! Wish we had made room for dessert! Cannot miss this gem!

I enjoyed the tuna appetizer and the egg roll appetizer. There is a vegetarian entre which is quite nice, but I would say it is an acquired taste and somewhat eclectic. The atmosphere is romantic and cozy, although it is somewhat dark. I would come back for the appetizers, although I'm not sure what entree I'd recommend.

We chose this place to have a nice dinner back in August, and we made the right choice. Every dish we had was incredible, and the decor and ambiance were perfection. We were lucky to have the entire back room to ourselves, which was really a shame, because this restaurant is so good it should always be packed. I hope to return the next time I find myself down on the island!

The front door to this restaurant is amazing. It is a portal actually. When outside you are standing in a shopping center. A strip mall that looks like thousands of other strip malls around. Whenever the portal opens and you enter you are transported to a fine dining experience. There is a large beautiful wood fired oven a blaze. The place is so nice it makes me feel under dressed. It is only the staff and customers already seated that we feel comfortable. Our server provided some of the best service we have had on St Simon's. The food was wonderful. We had steak and a pizza of course after seeing that beautiful wood fired oven. The descriptions of the food on the menu was extremely accurate . Everything was first class. If you need a break from the hustle and bustle that is St Simon's this is a great place to go. We cannot wait to come back.

I can’t visit St. Simons Island without stopping by Wake Up Coffee Company several times during my stay. They offer a well-rounded selection of hot and cold coffee drinks, along with a small but excellent assortment of bakery items. The scones, muffins, and power balls are all top-notch. Yes, it’s a little pricey — but most good coffee shops are these days. It’s absolutely worth it.

A decent enough shop. The latte (caramel) I had was a bit too acidic for my taste, but my friends liked their drinks (mocha, rasp. honey vanilla). We had to stand in line for about 15 minutes to order and wait another 10 for our drinks. Most of the syrups and pastries are made in house, which is nice. I was going to try a danish, but they sold out while I was in line. I don't know if I would go back on my own to be honest.

I was on the hunt for some delicious hibachi and sushi and I came to the right place!! Prices are a little higher than normal but definitely worth it, the staff was super friendly and helpful with questions about the menu. There’s kind of limited seating so if you go when they are busy you will have to wait 10-20 mins and there’s also outdoor seating.

Best sushi on the island. We enjoy the Brunswick location and decided to check this one out. We were hoping for some variation in the menu from the BWK location, but it’s about the same. We called for a big dinner to-go for a family of seven. The staff was friendly, and they prepared food on time despite being super busy. From appetizers to main dishes, from cold food to hot food, there was nothing you could complain about. WE LOVE THEM ALL! Even our dad, who doesn’t eat seafood, found something else he likes on the menu. The price for this type of good-quality Japanese food is also terrific. For example, seven pieces of fresh sashimi cost less than $12! What a good deal! Highly recommend!

I have eaten here 6 times in the last 2 months. The staff is friendly and courteous from the start, and they want to make sure everything is as you ordered and that you enjoyed the food. They bring you a complimentary bite of the Eddy Special, which is tempura battered crab with a delicious sauce over the top. They also give you complimentary house soup which had broth, mushroom and the crunchies from tempura. We enjoyed it so much we ordered a full roll! They have a great selection of standard rolls $5; 2nd tier rolls $9.75 and specialty rolls for $12.75. This is a great option for whatever price point you want stay in. I have had rolls from all 3 options, and they were crafted with the same care and expertise. I love the spicy crab salad, and the Lucky Dragon roll is my usual! I have also ordered the chicken hibachi with fried rice that was delicious., although I wish they had hibachi noodles. They offer multi roll deals and have a lunch menu too.

Chile Peppers Island Cantina offers a vibrant and family-friendly atmosphere where guests can savor the delightful tastes of Mexican and other Latin cuisines. This authentic Tex-Mex restaurant, managed by a welcoming family hailing from the border, boasts fantastic dishes that cater to all ages. The children's meals are appropriately portioned for twelve-year-olds, ensuring their satisfaction. Additionally, patrons can take advantage of the enticing happy hour deals, often featuring a buy one get one free offer.
This place is a true Tex-Mex restaurant. The family runs it and is from the border. They are welcoming and friendly. The food is fantastic. The kids meals are proportioned well enough to suit my 12 year old. Happy hour is the best too as it’s usually buy one get one free. I will be back and often.

Julia is by far the best server!! My first time coming and she is definitely the reason I will be back! She made my experience wonderful from the beginning to the end!!! Food was amazing and very authentic!!

Most Mexican restaurants fall within a certain level, good but not great. Chili peppers is one of the rare Mexican restaurants that takes it to the next level. The menu is not much different than your classic American "cheap Mexican "restaurant but the service and food is exceptional. The margaritas are great. They have somehow figured out how to turn ground beef into a five star item. They must cook it all day because we cannot figure out how to replicate the taste . When friends come to town they always want to go somewhere unique like a seafood restaurant, but we like taking friends to chili peppers because it's so damn good .

we had an evening meal here after reading the reviews. I am afraid the food wasnt as good as the reviews led me to believe. However, it was adequate. Service was very quick with an attentive waitress. Restaurant was fairly busy.

Chile Peppers is great! The chips and salsa are top notch. I love the thin, crispy chips. My daughter loves their queso. Great tacos. My picky eater even said the chicken tenders and fries were good!

We were so grateful for this place during the power outage! Despite the challenges, the staff remained kind, helpful, and willing to serve us when many others had closed. It really showed their dedication to the community and their customers. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming even without full power, and the service was impressive under the circumstances. Thank you for going the extra mile — it meant a lot!

We come to St Simmons at least twice a year and always eat here. It’s always fresh and delicious! Any negative reviews has to be an off day because we haven’t been disappointed! :)

Placed an order for pick up. A gentleman answered the phone and took my order. He was very polite over the phone. When I walked in to pick up my order everyone was very inviting and so nice. My taco salad is delicious thank you 😊

Barrier Island Brewing is a unique establishment that celebrates local craftsmanship and promotes regional food, drinks, and artisans. They set themselves apart by brewing all their beer on-site using the SmartBrew system. In addition to an extensive craft cocktail list and wine options, they also offer a variety of cocktails and beer cocktails. The menu features great food, including standout items like the potato chip skillet and stuffed pretzel charcuterie board. The atmosphere is welcoming, with attentive service even during busy times.
The food was amazing. The fish tacos were some of the best I’ve ever had. The brussel sprouts and beet hummus were delicious. We went two nights in a row and were only on St. Simons Island for 3 nights. Our server, Meredith, was fabulous and big part of the reason we returned. I can’t wait to come back.

Food was excellent! Our waitress was super sweet and the food came out quickly. The Shrimp Cake... delicious !! No sauce needed. I got them on my salad 😋😋. Very welcoming atmosphere, with very courteous staff.
Heidi M — Google review
On our third visit to St. Simons Island, my wife and I decided to give the Barrier Island Brewing Company a try for lunch yesterday. With our Golden Retriever in tow, we requested a spot in their outdoor dining area and were quickly seated. The space is essentially a large tent, with 10 to 12 tables underneath, and large screen TVs at either end for patrons to enjoy. There’s also a corn hole set tucked away in the back corner. With a gentle breeze flowing through, the atmosphere was relaxed and laid-back. Within moments of being seated, our waitress, Sophia, appeared to take our order. We went with the Caesar salad with shrimp and a potato chip sautéed steak skillet. Both dishes arrived looking mouth-watering and tasted even better. We came in hungry and left completely satisfied, with leftovers to spare. In short, you definitely get your money’s worth here. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention our server, Sophia. She greeted us with a warm, genuine smile and was both friendly and efficient, checking in frequently to ensure we had everything we needed. Barrier Island Brewing Company has quickly become our favorite spot on the island. We’ll definitely be back before we depart for home and will be sure to visit on every future trip.

Great service with friendly staff. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Gets fairly busy so plan accordingly. Recommend the beer cheese with pretzels appetizer - a perfect accompaniment to an IPA.
Jean R — Google review
We went our first night on the island since it was recommended and enjoyed the fish tacos, burger and beer. Ended up going again our last night on the island because it was so good. The food and beer were great again. Consistently good food and not overly priced with great beer selection.
Eric O — Google review
This was a very cute location with beautiful plants and decorations. We were met immediately by the host and sat rather quickly. We ordered the pretzels and beer cheese as an appetizer, so warm and delicious. As a group we ordered shrimp cakes, caeser salad, fish tacos, and a few drinks such as vodka and cranberry. The food was good, the atmosphere was a little overwhelming just due to the size of parties and the amount of room available. There was a Bachelorette party, families, and couples. There is also outside seating available.
Parker S — Google review
This was a great choice for our first night on the island. The beer was great and the food was excellent. The fresh catch was Mahi, so the fish and chips and the fish tacos were made with delicious Mahi! The beet salad fulfilled my cravings for beets, and the added blackened chicken was perfect!!
Janette B — Google review
Visiting St Simons for a few days we had to stop at a brewery as brewers ourselves😊 The burger and fish and chips was super yummy but also the cocktails were good and beers were awesome. We tasted 4 beers while there and all were 10/10. Happy hour was a great deal with discounts on wine, drafts AND HALF OFF a few select appetizers. Also.. staff was so kind (totally knew we were tourists :)) and were happy to chat with us! Also, beignets were sooooo good... Definitely visit if passing through!

Smallcakes Cupcakery is a popular chain that specializes in handmade cupcakes and offers a range of other confectionery delights. They have an impressive selection of 18 unique cupcake flavors, all made from scratch each morning. In addition to their delectable cupcakes, they also offer small-batch ice cream with 15 different flavors available daily.
We walked into cupcake paradise! The display was overflowing with options— everything from classic favorites to creative, one of a kind flavors. My husband couldn’t decide (can you blame him?), so we went with the mini cupcake sampler pack—and wow, every single one was delicious! My favorite was the carrot cake, while my husband was obsessed with the chocoholic. The whole experience was so fun, we ended up sampling a bite of every cupcake 😄 Ashley, the owner, was incredibly warm and helpful, making the visit even more special. We only wish we were locals so we could come back all the time. If you’re anywhere nearby, don’t miss this place!

I asked for a very simple “Happy Birthday” cake for my dear husband. I will let my pictures do the talking, as I couldn’t be more disappointed. The first picture is what I initially picked up and I turned around so fast hoping they could do something to fix the cake. I asked for them to at least fix the writing to be larger and make the cake look happy… even an exclamation mark would have added something! The writing is beyond unprofessional and for a $47 cake, quite pathetic. The second and third pictures are what I then went and “re” picked up later. I could cry, it’s the saddest Birthday cake I’ve ever seen. The only saving grace is that it did taste yummy. We got a strawberry cake with lemon filling and cream cheese frosting. Unfortunately the cake is not what I would have liked to pay for. The only explanation I got in reference to the decor was “oh she’s learning” and sadly had to be my husband’s cake she’s “learning” on. Cupcakes are great but do not order any custom cake.

Very disappointed. I saw this place while visiting St. Simon's and was so excited to try it. I asked the saleslady if the red velvet cupcake had "real" cream cheese icing and she said yes. It definitely did not and that was the one I wanted to try the most. We tried 4 different cupcakes and they were ok. As a cupcake connoisseur, these looked delicious but they were unfortunately just about average. I only wrote this review because I received an email asking how the place was but there was no where to answer that question only a button offering for me to see the menu.
Marie B — Google review
SO disappointed for wedding cupcakes that were ordered timely and for which were paid with multiple emails for arrangements made for delivery to wedding venue delivery of which did NOT happen. Depended upon a business to have a reminder system both technical and, perhaps on a delivery board. A refund was made but.....irresponsible for a business and very disappointing for this special occasion.

Tried the "hostess" style cupcake today while in town for work. It was the recommended flavor from the young lady working (she said it's her favorite). It was hands down one of the moistest cupcakes I've ever had from a cupcake bakery! The icing was delicious (I don't love icing, but ate nearly all of it) and it had some cream inside too like a true hostess cupcake. the cake was so soft and fell apart as you ate it in a good way, not in a dry way. Made it super messy to eat but I'm impressed. Definitely recommend giving Smallcakes a try!
Kathryn S — Google review
So I wanted a cupcake after playing a game on my phone, yeah it was a greedy move but, I found this place that was open. I drove over to the Island and decided to try a few different options. I got carrot cake, red velvet, birthday cake, hot fudge sundae, strawberry, and cookies and cream...so here goes. The Red velvet was more like chocolate cake and red coloring but the icing was good. The carrot cake was ok but it had a lot of coconut in it. My daughter ate the strawberry and said it was good but I didn't eat much of the birthday cake or hot fudge sundae. The cookies and cream didn't get eaten at all. These were very pretty cupcakes but they didn't give me the taste I was looking for. I don't think I will be back but overall it was still a good experience. Not my kind of cupcakes but they were pretty.

I was blown away by how the cupcakes tasted, they were amazing. The woman who served us was very friendly and helpful. The store was clean and the tables were really unique. Definitely going back here if i want to satisfy my sweet tooth again.

Boardwalk Deli is a full-service deli located at the Jekyll Market in Beach Village, offering made-to-order sandwiches daily from 11:00 a.m. However, it's not just a deli; it also functions as a grocery store and gift shop with an ice cream parlor. Visitors can find everything from fresh cut deli items to groceries, frozen foods, and canned goods. Additionally, there's a small BBQ restaurant inside.
Cool little shop, lots of sweet treats in here! My family went for ice cream after the beach and the staff was very patient and friendly. All my kids and my wife wanted to sample like every flavor before picking one. We all sat outside at their tables and enjoyed the ice cream!
J N — Google review
The deli sandwich’s were fresh. Nothing fancy. Good choice if you want fresh over fried and greasy. The tuna salad was really good, I think a different bread would be better. The Italian was overwhelmed on a ciabatta roll and should be warmed not cold. The California club was decent. This is a market with several vendors and a small grocery store/sunblock etc. It’s overwhelming and very hard to walk around if crowded. You pay at different registers for certain items. I would go back but would request what I prefer instead of going how it comes off the menu.
Rachel — Google review
SIGNS say Jekyll Market This place is NOT just a deli !! This is a full grocery store/ gift shop AMD ICE CREAM! We just so happened to walk in looking for a drink and we stayed for an hour shopping and getting food for our beach trip. They have a small BBQ restaurant inside. There's also a fresh cut deli section. They have full service isles of groceries also, frozen foods, canned goods, and much more! It's a one stop shop if you're in the area and need a few oddball things. We got the rotisserie chicken, grapes, strawberries, and a few beach items. It was under $50. Lots of tables for sitting and enjoying ice cream or anything else that was bought in the Market.
Toni C — Google review
The menu has gluten free bread and pizza, which is why we chose this place. When we ordered the guy behind the counter said they don't have GF bread and never have.
Cindy G — Google review
It's great if it's open. Fun menu, high quality product ordering systems awful you check a box on a piece of paper for one sandwich. It makes sense if I was ordering 6 sandwiches but for just one it's a bit much. Inside the market, store is cluttered but there's lots of snack options.
Matt R — Google review
Went in to buy sandwiches to go for our picnic. We were abruptly told they were still on breakfast and not making lunch, which would start at 11:00 am. It was 10:55 am. With that attitude, I would not stick around, nor would I go back. They need some lessons in customer service.
Phyllis G — Google review
First off let me say the sandwiches well very tasty... Saying that there were a few issues... The person reviewing the orders was hard to deal with. Second I was overcharged buy 6 dollars and you aren't given a receipt to verify your order. Beware and double check your cost before you order
Daniel F — Google review
My wife and I had the Longboard (London broil, pastrami, toasted) and the High Tide (turkey, swiss, arugula). Both were delicious. The market is pretty hopping and a little disorienting, but the sandwiches were excellent.

The establishment has been commended for accommodating large groups flawlessly and providing top-notch service.
Breakfast was phenomenal. We enjoyed the mega bloody marys, cornedbeef hash, waffles AND biscuits and gravy. The two of us cleaned all 3 plates. Services was attentive, engaging and kind. It’s a restaurant on a golf course so expect a club house atmosphere but it was absolutely delightful.

We have been to the island several times in the past but this was our first time eating here. We came in on a Tuesday at around 2:00 and there were only a few other people eating. We were seated right away. Our waitress, as well as the rest of the staff, were all helpful and friendly. They took care of all our needs. Wife had the Orange Sesame Chicken and I had the Steak Sandwich with Onion Rings. All of the food was great, served quick and hot. They have a full bar with a good selection of draft beer. I had a local gold draft which was very good. Our total bill was $52 which is on par with other restaurants on the island. We will definitely be going back to try other food 😃

We got here about 8 o’clock on a Friday night. This place closes at nine. Music was great, but it’s extremely loud so we chose to eat outside which was pretty nice. We ordered a round of drinks which were wonderful. Food was great not somewhere you want to take children with sensory issues as the music is extremely loud but overall great restaurant great food perfect vibe great service
Amy M — Google review
First impressions are of dated decor, tread worn dirty carpets, mildew-smelling bathrooms. Our waitress was wonderfully helpful and attentive, which is the only thing keeping the review from one star. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the rib eye lo mein. The rib eye lo mein was alright, but the sauce was water thin and sat in a puddle at the bottom of the dish separated from fettuccine noodles. The shrimp and grits were glooped in a congealed and split sauce. The waitress was kind to send it back, and said the manager would come by soon and apologize. The replacement order of ‘grilled’ shrimp was better, but overcooked, and soaking in a butter sauce it was clear it wasn’t grilled but sautéed. I asked if there was actually a grill in the kitchen, and was told there technically is one built into the griddle. The manager never did come by to apologize or ask how our food was- he seemed preoccupied in the corner by the bar with a friend.
Sydney — Google review
Restaurant located in a golf course area. More of bar vibes than anything else, not in the way that people were being rowdy or sloppy - there wasn’t any of that at all , but in the way everyone was tipsy and dancing around enjoying the music . The band was good ! Just VERY loud . lol We sat outside on the picnic tables. My bourbon salmon was AMAZING and even though you wouldn’t expect it was the best thing I ate on this island . Also there was a vegan plate my sister got that was awesome as well. Service was wonderful and drinks were tasty- although I was the DD so I only taste tested . Lol
Amber M — Google review
Dated atmosphere. Feels kinda like dining in a cafeteria. The waitress was good and attentive. The food was the worst part. Coconut shrimp tasted like grease. Hush puppies were more like tater tots. Just OK. The peel and eat shrimp had ZERO seasoning. Just boiled in water. Thank goodness for cocktail sauce.
Lisa S — Google review
Crab legs were perfect 👌, but the price.. was a huge surprise once the check came. Make sure you ask before you order anything that does not have the price posted. My family and I had no idea that one order of crab legs would be $80. Fortunately I can't afford that, but I think it would just surprised other people that wouldn't be expecting to pay that much for one person's meal. One other item the family member ordered was scallops that were served pretty much Raw, and another got a steak that was brick hard. So unfortunately most of our party didn't eat much but the appetizers were good. The service was great. And we don't like to complain.
Sarah G — Google review
I am not one to complain but this was the worst $120 I spent while on the island. We waited almost 30 minutes before the waitress came. It took another 25 minutes for the food to come out, which wasn’t terribly unreasonable. But the food was anything but savory. I got the spinach salad with a crab cake. Half of the spinach was rotten and the crab cake was as inedible. It tasted rancid. My daughter got the loaded nachos which were very bland and the ground beef had no taco seasoning or flavor. The others food was just meh. Our waitress was scarce most of the time and only came to check on us a couple of times. We had to wait with empty glasses for most of our meal and were told they were having to brew more tea. While the salad was taken off the ticket after the waitress took it back to the kitchen and handed it off to what looked to be a manager, there was no apology or acknowledgement of it. After an hour and a half, we finally got our card back so we could leave. Worst dining experience I’ve had in a looooooong time.

Blue Bay Mexican Grill is a hidden treasure on the island, offering an array of genuine Mexican-style dishes and specialty Margaritas. The restaurant also provides a lunch buffet during weekdays. With affordable prices, it exceeded expectations for one visitor who sought an alternative due to crowded favorite establishments. Blue Bay impressed with its exceptional service and delectable cuisine, quickly becoming their favorite eatery on Saint Simons Island.
My wife and I have walked by this place for years and finally stopped in for lunch today… wished we would’ve come in sooner! Food was incredible, service was awesome, and it’s a cool restaurant. We’ll be back next week for happy hour 🍹
Reed E — Google review
Decent Mexican food - a little pricey for what it is. Avoid the house margaritas and get your meal with sides included (they're super expensive a la carte) and you'll be fine. My wife and I stopped in for lunch in December 2022. We sat outside since the weather was nice. Our server was great and offered a few suggestions and was kind enough to bring us a small sample of the house margarita. We were glad she did as we were not fans of it and opted for a margarita with better ingredients. Food was typical Mexican food, nothing that stood out. We LOVE cheese dip at most Mexican restaurants and that's usually our barometer for how the rest of the meal will be and that held true in this case as the taste was okay and the serving size was just okay and overall, the place was okay.

Great service. From the start the hostess was very friendly and so was our server. Food was very good. Our server was very attentive. Came as a recommendation and am glad I came. Had gone to a different Mexican restaurant and this was way better than our experience there. We had the Texas Fajitas and Mojarra Frita. Also, asked for spicy salsa and we were given some "homemade" salsa. Very good and definitely spicy which made our experience even better.
Ezzy E — Google review
Blue Bay on St. Simons Island has an extensive authentic Mexican cuisine menu with street style tacos, empanadas, chimichangas, camarónes a la diabla, pork and chicken tamales, flautas, tostadas, enchiladas, and CHILE RELLENOS!!! They also have traditional Tex-Mex items like fully loaded burritos, quesadillas, and fajitas. Even the chips and salsa are great. The cooks grill the tomatoes and onions in house to maximize the flavor of the salsa! Overall this place is a must try if you’re in the area and love great Mexican food!
Jacob H — Google review
I thought the food was great and the street tacos were amazing. However, the service brought this restaurant down a star. First off when we ordered our cheese dip, she kept on questioning us when we ordered the large. We said again that the large would be fine and that we have the people to eat it but she still kept on saying that it was really big and that we shouldn’t get that. I understand telling us the size of it, but telling people what they can and cannot get after they told you nicely several times that what you ordered is what you would like, then it isn’t okay. Then we had to wait 10 minutes just to get our salsa, waited another 5 minutes for the cheese dip, and then had to wait another for the chips. Not to mention the place was FAR from crowded and bearely had any people there eating. I wouldn’t go there again because of the service. Shout out to the chefs though because they can cook like it is nobody’s business. They are amazing, but the terrible service ruined it.

The young lady's were not that friendly taking our order. The philly cheese steak steak needs to be smaller pieces too big/thick slices. Wasn't that good cut of meat as well. The bread was good. I like the location and the decor but what's the point of that if the food subpar and so is the service?
Kyle — Google review
I had a delightful evening experience. The service was excellent, and the food was exceptionally fresh. I ordered the Philly, and the ingredients were not only fresh but also packed with flavor. I requested extra mayo and spicy sauce, which added the perfect kick. Think of this philly, like fine dinning packed with real sirloin steak. My wife opted for the tuna, and it was equally delicious.

Yum! Had a turkey sub with the hubby after the beach while our toddler played in the spray fountain. Went back in for some dip n dots dessert. Would recommend!
Alyson M — Google review
I consider Subway to be your average run off the mill sandwich shop. This place is a couple notches below that. The bread is nothing special. The sandwiches themselves aren't anything special. There's just nothing special about this place whatsoever. Just a boring old sandwich shop that anyone can recreate with some grocery store sub rolls and some Oscar Mayer deli meat. However, the food was edible, so it is what it is. Ultimately, if I ever find myself close to this place again, I'll walk in the other direction. The biggest plus about this place is that I'll forget about it quickly since they don't provide anything worth remembering.

Every time we come here on vacation we eat at Larry’s at least 2-3 times. Perfect size, price, and options and one of the better subs Ive ever had. My only complaint is they don’t have one back home in Colorado!

If you're on the lookout for a refined dining experience by the water, Shore Restaurant is your destination. Nestled within The Courtyard by Marriott on Jekyll Island, this charming eatery boasts a cozy atmosphere and stunning waterfront views that enhance every meal. Their menu is diverse, featuring everything from delectable Wild GA Shrimp and Grits to pizza, pasta, seafood, steak, salads, and wraps—there's something for everyone!
Escaped here for Christmas with our pup, and Shore delivered on this Christmas night. Gabrielle was a hustling and bustling as she was the only waitress and ensure our meals were prepared correctly and drinks on time. The meals were amazing for the limited menu provided as expected for the holiday. So thank you to the Chef and kitchen staff. Drinks were fabulous and hit the spot. Couldn’t have asked for a better team that came together on a Christmas holiday to make sure guests got a wonderful warm meal. It was much appreciated.

My wife and I have stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn 6 times. Before this recent stay we would never eat dinner at the Shore restaurant because the quality of the food was not to our liking. Well all of that has changed now that they have a new Executive Chef. Chef Clay has turned things around. His new menu is filled with dishes that have plenty of flavors. So good that we ate dinner here twice in 5 days. We have tried the Fried Chicken, Vegetable Curry with Blackened Chicken, Short Rib Pasta and the Burger. The portions are large and the quality and flavors are spot on. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant for dinner now that Chef Clay is leading the team. They also have a happy hour Monday- Friday 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. A different drink special every day along with 5 appetizer specials. We tried Chef Clay’s take on Fried Green Tomatoes. So good we ordered them again the next day.

Both of the beat and arugula challenge were very good, I thought the full size could have been improved upon it was pretty small but the salad was very good. My wife had the beef tips with noodles she said it was very good. I had the curry with basmati rice it was very good it was spiced perfectly it was a little rich for my liking but it was very good.

Most improved hotel restaurant. We pass by twice a year for several year. The Shore restaurant was good, never great. Tonight we were surprised in the best possible way. Creative choices, ambitious compared to past experiences. Our main courses would have fit in a really good major city restaurant. Casual beach resort lobby atmosphere, simply great. Great tastes, great quality, great value. I am very impressed and wish we were staying another night. Bravo, absolutely great changes.

Thank you Kendall and Olivia! They were ours servers for the weekend and they were more than attentive! We had some menu changes and accommodations they were more than happy to make and the food came out just right and delicious. It’s a great casual eat, relaxed type of place, for lunch a quick bite or casual dinner. They were quick to seat us and checked in on us just the right amount of time! Olivia remembered our order and Kendall made us really feel cared for during our stay! The grounds are maintained well and the environment is very relaxing!

Really great place. We stayed next door at the Hampton and came over to check things out. The Nashville hot chicken was really good. Surprisingly the collards were too. Many places cant do collards right but this place does. Wife got the blackened redfish and it was great as well. Little boy got the cheese pizza and it tasted a little freezerish but he didnt complain. Service was great. They had corn hole and other games. Good trip. I recommend.

We went for an early evening dinner and ordered a pizza with Italian meats. It was delicious. Very tasty. Too bad we couldn’t find waitstaff earlier that day so we could have had lunch there also.

Restaurant
24 Coastal Grill is a casual cabana bar and grill that offers traditional American favorites for lunch and dinner. The restaurant features outdoor dining with live entertainment on weekends during the spring through fall season. Guests have praised the friendly and personable service, highlighting servers like AliMae and James. The food receives high praise, with standout dishes such as Georgia peach cauliflower crust pizza, ceviche, crispy chicken sandwich, red fish, bourbon brussel sprouts, crab cake, and smash burger.
Our Father’s Day weekend was marvelous. We were greeted as Diamond Elite members and the staff was just incredible. The 24 Coastal Grill had the best food, drinks by the pool…and talk about great service…Johnette, Jenn & April and everyone at the restaurant was fantastic. We had complimentary hot breakfast every morning…truly delicious. The Carnivore pizza is phenomenal as were the appetizer Peppers and Pork Wings…you have got to try them. The Resort had bikes for you and it’s right on the beach. You’ve got to add this one to your list.

Dinner tonight at 24 Coastal Grill deserves a bold 5 stars. If 6 stars were possible it would get 6. The food was made up of perfect bite after perfect bite. It was a rainy day and evening, but the atmosphere was warm, bright and inviting. We both agreed that it could only be even better on a warm summer day when the windows and garage style door were open exposing you to a stellar beach and pool side setting. The service was the cherry on top. Everyone was pleasant, professional and helpful. As fortune would have it our server tonight was Michael, whose attentiveness, attitude, warm professionalism and spot on recommendations hinted at a mastery in the art of service. When we later discovered that he was also the GM of the restaurant filling in for another server tonight, the overall quality of the restaurant and dining experience made sense. I cannot say enough good things about Michael, his staff, and quality and deliciousness of the food. The perfect end to a perfect weekend at Jekyll Island. Go eat here.

Really surprised at how good this food was especially for the price! I was sticker shocked but in a good way! I did have to wait about 20 minutes to even get a water though .. and there was really no one waiting. I peeked inside and saw a few employees just casually talking. So, could definitely use improvement on service. Overall would definitely come back! Crazy cocktails and the buffalo shrimp were AMAZING.

It was a great experience. The food was delicious, and the view was pretty even for an overcast day. Our server made a mistake on one of our orders. She immediately apologized, took responsibility, and corrected the problem. She was awesome, and deserves so much praise. Sadly, I've forgotten her name. The manager was kind as well. It's good to see places and people like that.

The food was excellent. It was very convenient as we were staying at the hotel. No need to drive to get great food. Our server Allie( think that's her name) was wonderful. She was courteous, friendly and super funny. She deserves a raise.

From the moment we walked in, the service was nothing short of exceptional. The atmosphere made us feel right at home—welcomed, relaxed, and genuinely cared for. This isn’t just a place that serves great food; it’s a place that treats you like family, not just another transaction. The staff—April, Jen, and Alimae—went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Their warmth, attentiveness, and kindness made us feel seen and appreciated. It’s rare to find a team that delivers both incredible service and heartfelt connection.

Sat at the bar. Ordered a blueberry margarita. It was divine. Had the crab cake appetizer first. I was actually surprised how good it was. The side salad of grapefruit and raw onions and peppers had no business being so delicious. I then left and headed to a different place I won’t talk about. When I returned the bartender told me “told ya so”. I opted for shrimp and grits for dinner. It was way looser than shrimp and grits that I would make, but it’s was absolutely tasty. Finished the night off with some pecan pie (when in Georgia right). This restaurant was the only reason I opted to stay at the hotel right here.

Wonderful place to eat! The walls are almost entirely windows. Since the restaurant is so close to the beach you can eat and enjoy a view of the water and palm trees. The service has been delightful, Jenn was our server both times we dined here and she was so accommodating and a joy to talk to. While the menu was limited, the food was the best we had on the island. Our favorites were the southwest shrimp tacos (which were surprisingly spicy!) and the burger. 10/10 would dine here again

Wonderful place, wonderful view, delicious bites, kind and attentive service. What more could you ask for? This is a very nice island lounge and steakhouse with excellent fresh seafood, and a great selection of delicious sides. The patio provides a nice overlook of the palms and beach, and enough cover to shelter you even during a Jekyll tropical storm. Our server, Wilton, was top notch, and the front of house is expertly managed by Chris. You'll have good food and a relaxing and enjoyable time. Highly recommended.

Located inside the hotel, we popped in for a last drink of the day and for my friend to use the coupons she had gotten as she is a guest of the hotel. They have a few different varieties of wine and several local beers available. It's a very nice spot that overlooks the beach with plenty of seating on their patio to enjoy the beach. Good service, nice spot.

American restaurant
Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint is a Southern-style restaurant located in Beach Village, near the Westin Resort. The menu features classic Southern dishes such as cajun crab dip, BBQ pork sandwich, shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles. The restaurant also offers live music, adding to its vibrant atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy delicious food in a welcoming environment just moments from the beach. The establishment has a unique connection to the area's musical history, making it a local staple.
We visited this place while staying in Jekyll Island. The food was so good, and the service was fantastic, so we went back a second time. Had the chicken and waffles and they were amazing!!! I think I could have eaten just the waffles because they were so good, but the breading on the chicken was fantastic. Also had their smoked wings and they were great. Super juicy and the taste was fantastic. They make some amazing drinks. And the staff just makes you feel so welcome there. Incredible Food + awesome drinks + fantastic service + cute atmosphere and fun music = 'winner winner chicken dinner'.

We enjoyed this place so much our first night visiting the island that we went back the second night. A very casual and laid back setting with really delicious food.

I really, really liked this restaurant, but it's fairly new and has a few kinks to work out yet. Gumbo was delicious but not served hot, one bacon wrapped shrimp, (also delicious) wasn't flipped on the grill so wasn't cooked all the way, but the flavors were amazing and I have high hopes and great expectations. Update 7-30-22 Owing to the paucity of options on the island and the amazing blues being played on the back porch of the restaurant, I revisited Sweet Georgia's. I'm glad I did because the chef has settled into a groove as smooth as the music. I was amazed by the pulled pork sandwich and stuffed by the portion size. The roll it came on was perfect, the meat was tender & slightly sweet the way hog can sometimes be with just right smokiness.

You guys need to get there ASAP and more like RIGHT NOW!! Went two weekends in a row! The only thing I'm mad about is not knowing that this location was tucked away on Jekyll Island. Dined al fresco and enjoyed the cajun crab dip, chicken & waffles (absolutely phenomenal), southern fried chicken with crazy good macaroni and cheese and collard greens on the side. For dessert, the peach cobbler is highly recommended. The seafood gumbo is also some of the best I've ever had. Everything was served seasoned and very hot! Just lick the bowl clean (greedy😋). They won't say a word if you do. The staff is very nice and engaging. Will definitely go back for a third trip very soon for the live music!!

We had a great service. The bartender and our waitress was amazing. Food was delish. We had plenty left over and ate later on that day and it was still delish. Place is beautiful and whoever picked out the playlist knows great music. We'll definitely return whenever we are on the island. Ps. The only negative is the gratuity charge. It was pretty large lump sum.

Our food was good, but a bit pricey. The staff was very friendly and our food came quick and hot. We sat outside to enjoy the breeze from the ocean. There's a QR code on the tables to view the menu on your phone and place your order. Parking was plentiful and right near an outdoor mall.

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is very clean and well-designed. Our food was freshly prepared and served hot. The Shrimp and Grits was the best I’ve had. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the macaroni and cheese recipe was excellent. We will definitely return. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

It is a short staffed and apparently a fairly new joint. The juke box has great selection. The place is lively with lots of upside. The food was good. I had the fried chicken. The staff is stretched thin, but good. I hope they succeed. They have a lot of upside.

Coffee shop
The Westin Café, located poolside at the Holiday Inn Resort in Jekyll Island, GA, offers a perfect start to your day with a variety of Starbucks beverages. It's not your typical Starbucks and offers better coffee than surrounding hotel options. The café also provides exceptional customer service and a friendly atmosphere. With delicious coffee, yogurt parfaits, muffins, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches available, it's a great stop before heading to the beach or golf course.
Be prepared... This is not a typical Starbucks. I do like this cafe. The coffee is much better than the surrounding hotel coffee. (Much better!) I'm pretty sure the syrups are different from the typical Starbucks, but they do offer sugar free, if you're looking for that. My latte was too sweet and the girl added another shot of espresso, which I appreciated. They don't have the typical menu items, which is okay but I would like gluten free options. Honestly, if you're looking for a better coffee option and don't want to go off of the island, this would be okay. They close early.
Rachel B — Google review
We’re on an island. Everything has to be brought here, it’s part of the reason you’re here for vacation. If you want, you can drive 30 minutes off the island to get a ‘real Starbucks’ and 30 minutes back. Or you can get some coffee from the hotel cafe that serves Starbucks products. The quality is similar to a small airport that serves Starbucks, so set your expectations. Don’t get a ‘Starbucks drink’ (PSL). Get a latte and go walk on the beach. The breakfast food isn’t ’Starbucks food’ it’s a hotel danish, employee made breakfast sandwich, etc.
Kristen Q — Google review
This is the location that serves just Starbucks coffee. This means the barista’s make coffee from the Starbucks bean. My coffee was just as good as it came from Starbucks most of the time my Starbucks always gets my brown sugar, shaken espresso wrong and this one tasted really good. I have no hate here. I love my coffee and I was able to buy a bottle of sunscreen while I was there. I say two wins.
Gena L — Google review
This is awful. Came here for breakfast. The only place we could find coffee on the island, crowded with just one person working. I get that she was probably not happy it either so she was incredibly rude and not getting orders right. It’s not fair to her or your customers. There’s also No food. I don’t know where the pics on here came from but this place is very run down.
Ashley B — Google review
advertised as starbucks and same drinks but DO NOT GET ANY OF THESE DRINKS. We got 8 drinks, all were extremely watered down and bitter. Used to work at Starbucks and these were all wrong. This place should not sell these drinks, make a better menu with better quality
Isabel M — Google review
We came here specifically for a pumpkin spice latte. There were 3 people behind the counter and they were not busy, so I must have been invisible. One person was standing behind the register and after a few minutes looked up and asked me what I was waiting on… I had not even ordered yet. I ordered and not one more word was spoken. No thank you, have a good day… nothing. Latte was average, place was small and visibly needed cleaning and service was horrible. Next time we will go off the island for coffee.
Frances C — Google review
They actually made my coffee last week. This week they say I have to make it myself because they “aren’t a Starbucks.” We paid for expensive coffee that didn’t even taste like Starbucks and we had to make ourselves. It seems that it is good when not busy but when it is busy these two girls don’t want to work. It is a blonde girl and a dark haired girl. Very rude and very lazy.
Kara H — Google review
I ordered a simple vanilla iced coffee with cream. I had to make my own coffee even though I saw a girl in front of me order the same thing but hers was made for her. Because I had to make it myself it tasted horrible. I refuse to pay almost $5 for a small coffee I had to make myself. This location’s service is pathetic. I used to come here all the time and never had this problem. Get your stuff together.

Didn't actually eat there. Walked inside and my boyfriend and I made contact with the bartender, who said nothing (not seat yourself, i'll be right with you, or anything). Don't know if we walked in on a private party either- there was no sign indicating there was. We had a lovely lunch with excellent service from Madison R. We enjoyed several cocktails - the Tekiwi, Negroni and Rosette were all excellent. We also really enjoyed the crab cakes (great lump crab, not much filler at all), shrimp tacos, and peel-and-eat shrimp. The beach view on the patio is wonderful, and the prices are quite reasonable with very generous portion sizes. Also great for large parties, with a spacious dining room and several large tables.

Wonderful stop for lunch, enjoyed wild Georgia shrimp and a pulled pork sandwich. A handful of grilled shrimp with two sides and hush puppies were fine (sides were hibachi veg and coleslaw, both of which were fine), hush puppies were fries very crispy, inside a tad dry. The pulled pork was excellent, more like burnt ends and light on the bbq sauce which I appreciated. Mac n cheese was good (could have been creamier) and the potato salad needed salt and did not have the eggs as suggested by the menu. Cocktail (Rosette) was great and service and ambience was spectacular. Prices were more than reasonable for lunch (2 full meals and a cocktail was $50)

Last weekend I ate at Corridor Z on Jekyll Island, Georgia. This seafood concentrated dining was exactly what my group had been searching for all weekend. We chose Corridor Z, because a couple of nights previously we ate at their sister restaurant on the marina, Zachary's River House. The experience there wasn't too great so we were hoping to give another chance to this location, and to say we were pleased would be an understatement. The restaurant has a very welcoming view of the beach to the right of the entrance and inside the building was decorated to make you feel light and happy with your meal. Unfortunately, the day that I went, there were storms and heavy winds outside so I did not get to experience the outdoor seating although it looked very beautiful from the windows. I would say this is on the pricier side, especially if you are one to order an appetizer and dessert with your meal. I would expect to pay about $30 per person. Even though the price point might confuse you, most people there were in casual wear. We sat at one of the center tables of the restaurants which is not ideal for me, because those tables typically provide discomfort, but this table did not. I also thought it was a very unique touch that not every TV was set to some sports game. Although I am one to love watching a good competition, it is nice to have other options. We saw various demographics walking in for the dinnertime rush hour. A noticeable amount of tourists were flooding in, but there were also regulars coming in to just enjoy the food. The hostess was very nice and all of the waiting staff was attentive and polite. They were quick to check in and did a wonderful job of recommending the specials and their personal picks off the menu. The manager even saw me taking pictures of the menus and brought me over two smaller menus to take home in case I needed them. The appetizers came out a little slower than I expected but they made up for it with a short wait time return on the entrees. We ordered the Bacon Wrapped Scallops for our appetizer and asked the waitress if she would recommend them based on taste and the size of our party. She said they were a customer favorite, but informed us that we might need to order two since we were a party of five and each order comes with three scallops. I am not really a big scallops fan because I'm not a big fan of the rubbery texture and salty juices that come out, but these were delicious. I was even the one who ate the extra one after we had each had ours. The bacon wasn't too crunchy and it seemed to have almost a smoky flavor which I enjoyed. The scallops themselves were soft and not too dense and I didn’t even notice a salty flavor. Every bite melted in my mouth and left a craving for more. I ordered the Mahi sandwich. It came on the most perfect hoagie bun that was grilled to a perfect crunch on the surface but soft and warm on the inside. I got my fish blackened and the seasoning flavor was good, but not spicy enough for me, however I have a high spice tolerance and enjoy eating super spicy food so take that to your own consideration. It came with a side of tartar sauce that was definitely homemade. For dessert we got the fried cheesecake for everyone to try. There isn't really too much to say negatively about it but it didn't wow me either. It seemed very basic and the tortilla they used to fry it in wasn't all the way crispy. It also had a lot of cinnamon on it which wasn't my favorite thing to see, but overall these are just personal preferences and the next person could love it. Their hours are pretty good, they are open for lunch and dinner. The hours match perfectly with their atmosphere and impression, come for a quick lunch, maybe a longer dinner and stay at their bar and TVs later. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be back. Maybe next time I try it, I'll go on a game night and test out the football vibes here. I will definitely be recommending this place for friends and family that come into town.

This past Sunday my best friend and I went over to Jeykll island to go for a walk with both of our dogs on the beach, because it has been so cool during the morning time. When we ended up walking around on the beach for awhile and ended up getting hungry for some lunch. So we walked into the little stores around the hotels and right as we stepped into the concreate area with all the stores is when we saw a restaurant called Corridor Z. We ended up stopping and seeing they had outside setting facing the water so we were glad because we could take our dogs with us as well. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very nice host that had already started asking us what breed our dogs were. She kindly showed us to the outside seating and sat us under a seat with a fan because it started to get a little warm outside. Then a nice server greeted us and asked us for our drink order and when he came back with our drinks, he always had water for our dogs. Me and my friend couldn't decide on what to order because we had never been there. What also was appealing was the pricing to us it wasn't as expensive as you would think a place on Jeykll would be. I ended up order a Plain chicken Sandwhich with French fries. Very basic but it sounded delicious at the time. It wasn't to much longer as we ordered the server was already bringing out our entree. It looked mighty appealing and my friend order also looked good. The taste was very good the chicken was very tender and the flavoring was so good for a basic chicken Sandwhich and my dog also had a bite and she also agreed it was very good. The service and environment of the restaurant was a very relaxing as the porch area looks on to the beach. For someone that has never been there. I will definitely go back again!

Came here for dinner while staying at the Westin. It was a quiet Sunday evening so the restaurant was nearly empty. The server was quick, helpful, and friendly. Our food was delicious, fresh, and really reasonably priced. We had the spinach salad with the market fish of the day (flounder) and the grilled chicken sandwich. This is a great spot and we’re glad we found it during our last evening!
